He lifted his eyes to me. I was instantly captivated. He was sheer beauty in his black, hooded cloak. Was he real or just my imagination? It didn't matter. I had to know the mysterious man shrouded in darkness...

Today is Saturday, the absolutely best day in the whole week and today was fine. Actually really good! I woke up at 12 am and felt better than ever. My headache is gone and my mind for the first time in ages is clear. I walked outside with my annoying little brother that wasn't so moody today. He wants to both play games and have fun with me. Maybe I was the one who was too moody all the time? Well whatever. 

I love my hair today, it's long and fluffy. Just the way I like it! And since it was good weather today, I went out with more skin showing clothes. That was one heck of an mistake, I nearly froze to death! At first it was sunny but after about 10 min it got really cold. I have always wondered if in speaking/writing terms the weather is a He or She, because here it's an It... if it's an she I would understand why. Women! 

Now I'm waiting for my uncle to come over at our place. You see, here we don't have any insolation because of the Covid-19 but more like if you don't feel well, you should stay home. That means that my fricking school hasn't closed down for distance studying jet and probably never will. That's stupid but whatever. If I get infected with Covid-19 then I guess it's not entirely my fault, right? 

Let's get back to my uncle now. So it was my uncles birthday yesterday and I didn't gratulate him. I know that it sounds awful but my uncle is one heck an asshole and is only with us for now when they have closed down all transport to other countries. That's means that he will stay here with us for the next few months. Yippy fun fun, not! He's literally one 45, excuse me, 46 years old playboy without anything else then words as his weapon. Ugh!  FML!

Lately I'm getting more and more interested in reading books, they're awesome. Especially books with vampires and werewolves with that cliche new girl in town. Then I don't mean Twilight! But I like Twilight, especially the last breaking dawn movie. But seriously, I mean those really cool books with werewolves alphas and mate bonds. They're so good and I love how every story has something extra on that mate bond thingy. I totally recommend getting Into that! The vampire books are also really good but if I had to choose between Team Edward and Team Jacob I would choose Team Jacob 100%! And Jacob was so much hotter than Edward anyway! 

Oh shit I heard someone knocking on the door, I guess that's my uncle and my aunt with her boyfriend and two kids. Well no sleep for me tonight because it's party time.

I thought that it would be fun tonight but it turned out to be more chill than fun. So basically I was being all cuddled with my cousin and we talked about nothing and all. When it got really late, she and everyone else had to go back home. So now I'm sitting in the living room and watching Netflix and some necessary snacks by my side. Party time, more like movie time!

So i know that people will mostly ignore if they think that some novels, just because there’s nothing interesting in the title, will totally ignore reading but what if. What if there is someone out there who has a lot to say. 

So here I am, typing down whatever comes to my mind and not caring the slightest about what everyone will think about me but only here, where I can stay anonymously. Because we all know how much of a chicken we all are out there in the real life. 

So basically I’m still a teen, a teen who doesn’t recognize the meaning in life. The unspoken world where everyone is trying so hard to fit in. What are we? And what if every step in our life weights so much on your shoulders that lastly you can’t stand it anymore and with a light movement you can end it all. Well if you think that I’m a depressed teenager who is doing drugs and am outside drinking with a gang where everyone’s a slut and are getting wasted, then you’re wrong! 

So now am here with all my bubbled up emotions that I can’t say to anyone but myself. So stay tuned because I’m about to bring out some attitude and fricking shit into everyone that’s reading whatever the heck this is!

"My mam will kill me if I lose my new phone." I could feel my stomach get continuously more nauseous as more time passed.

After several months of asking my mother, she finally bought me the new iPhone. I wanted to bring it with me to school today to show of to my friends and after hyping it up for the first few classes we finally got lunch.

"I don't think you're ready for this." I said I'm a proud voice while pulling down the zipper of the front pocket of my bag.

"C'mon we've been waiting all morning." 

"Fine, fine here it i- Huh?" I looked back at the pocket for a second time but to no avail, I then opened the big pocket and looked through it but like the other pocket it wasn't there at this point I was getting a bit panicked.

"Are you alright? You're looking a bit pale." He said as he noticed my expression change.

"I swear I brought my phone with me but I can't find it anywhere."

"Maybe you left it at home. I'm sure it's fine." He said a bit worried.

"..yeah...maybe." Despite saying this I vividly remember putting it in their.

And that brings us back to where we are now. I was so preoccupied I didn't even hear the bell for the last class go off. When I looked around I saw only the teacher was left giving me an odd look.

I quickly put my books back into my bag and left the class room. "Hmmm, Should I go to the principals office? Might as well."

After walking down a set of stairs I arrived at the door with a sign on it saying {Principals office} I slowly pushed open the door and noticed the principle sitting on a desk looking through paperwork.

"E-excuse me sir, did anyone drop off a phone in here by any chance?" I was quite nervous causing me to stutter.

"Oh are you Kyoki Watanabe, some one dropped of an iPhone X here for that name."

"Really, yes that's me." Anyone could instantly see my expression change when hearing this.

"Yes, it's just on the cabinet behind you." He said while pointing to a cabinet behind me.

"Thank you sir, I said while leaving."

"Don't worry, just be careful it looks expensive."

"Yes sir."

I left the office and put my phone back into my pocket without loosening my grip all the way till I made it home.

When I made it home I a woman with brown hair tied up into a ponytail curves in the right places and a loose jumper on in the kitchen she was my mother. Despite being her son she is still quite an attractive woman.

"Hey sweetie, why are you so late today?"

"Huh, um... I told you to stop calling me back." I stumbled my words. I can't possibly tell her I nearly lost the phone I've been asking for, so I thought of that lame excuse while rushing towards the stairs.

"That's strange, he's never been like that before. I wonder if something happened today?" She thought before going back into the kitchen.

"Phew...That was close." I thought before sitting on my bed. I took out my phone before lying back.

When I turned it on to make sure nothing is wrong with it. "I'm surprised no one stole it."

After I looked through my phone I noticed a strange app on it. "When did I download this? [Monster Hunter] huh."

"Never mind I should do homework now." I powered off my phone and placed it carefully on the dresser beside my bed.

"Let's start with maths I guess." I thought while taking out a few books.

A few hours later I heard my mother calling me for dinner . "Dinners ready, come down soon or else it'll go cold."

"Coming" I shouted back in response.

When I came downstairs I noticed my mother sitting down and looking towards me as I came down the stairs.

"What for dinner tonight?" I said while looking at a plate that looks scarily green.

"Hmm, oh this I'm on a diet so I went to the shop and bought anything green I saw. It hard keeping this perfect body." She said in a joking manner.

"Sure, sure but why do I have it?" I said with a raised eyebrow while looking at the green plate.

"Hmph, I'm not doing this alone." She said as she poked through lots of leaves and put it in her mouth.

"Sooo, how is it?" I said as I saw with a grin while I saw her difficulty in swallowing it.

"Ugh...oh um it's lovely why don't you have some." She said while pushing my plate closer towards me.

"Then why are you putting your fork down?" I said with a slight mocking tone.

"Huh. Oh this, I ate earlier don't worry." 

"It's a pity I was gonna ask you to order takeout for me." I said with a suggestive tone slightly laughing.

After I said this she blushed a little before saying "If you insist I guess we should get some."

"But what about your perfect body?" I asked making my voice sound as innocent as possible while fighting back a grin.

After hearing me she blushed even more. "Ah that, don't worry I'll sacrifice it for today."

I made my way back upstairs after a satisfying meal. "Let's see what this app is then?" I sat on my bed and picked up my phone before launching the app [Monster Hunter].

After I clicked on it I saw a loading screen, the icon was a small chibi dinosaur waking in on direction. Underneath the dinosaur I saw some text.

[Tip: Don't die]

"Well no shit Sherlock." I thought as the game changed screen to show the homepage. In the middle of the screen I saw [Campaign] and beside that was [Online] "guessing that is like PvP or something like that.

There were some other tabs but they were greyed out. I looked at the top left of the screen and saw [Profile] when I tapped on it, it shows a chibi version of myself. Beside it was my name. "How did they get my name and why does that avatar look so like me. No it looks exactly like me." Above my name was a level icon. It showed level 0.

I clicked off of profile and looked at [Inventory] when I clicked it all I saw was a wooden sword so I clicked off.

"Let's see what campaign has to offer." When I looked at it I saw an image of my avatar with a wooden hitting a small chibi monster. After clicking the icon the screen changed to show a map of where I'm living. "How do they know where I'm living as well. I never put my location on this phone?"

I noticed on the map over my house was my avatar and around me was some small icons of small monsters. The closest one was a small rabbit with a horn on its head. It looked quite cute honestly.

I clicked on its icon and a description popped up. 

[Horned Rabbit: Normally lives in colony's. (group of rabbits) not very dangerous]

"On the map it's only about 100 metres down the road. But how do I fight it?"
After messing around the screen I couldn't find any way to fight it.

"Guess I have to actually go there in person." Looking outside I saw it was quite dark.

I said "It's Friday today and I have no school tomorrow. I'll check it tomorrow I guess." Before putting my phone back in my pocket.

"Hey 'Sweetie' do you want to Netflix and chill with me?"

I heard my mother say that from the bottom of the stairs while clearly emphasising on the 'Sweetie'. "Clearly she doesn't know what Netflix and chill actually means. Well never mind." I thought before walking down the stairs to greet her. 

We picked a movie and turned off all the lights while eating popcorn.

"Yeah, I'll check it tomorrow."

When I found my phone I found I noticed a weird app downloaded on my phone.

[Monster Hunter]

Without thinking I launched it.

It looked like a cute fighting game but when I tried to battle the weakest monster I realised it was anything but cute.

Adam proudly showed off his car and Abby felt her heart burst. Too cute! How was she supposed to handle a cuteness attack of this level?
Katie mock whispered, "He shows it to everyone he likes."
It was official. She melted into a puddle of sentimental goo. Her nephew liked her right off the bat! He was very trusting considering his mother barely told him they were family, which proved he was a happy and well-adjusted kid.
What kind of childhood did he have living out here in the middle of nowhere? Katie had obviously commissioned that toy for him but what about his other toys? Were there any picture books? What sorts of things did little kids even do in this world in the absence of a playground?
"Who made it for you?" Abby asked, gesturing to the car.
Katie was a bit embarrassed. "Ah, I got one of the carpenters who moved here from Rowenhilde to do it. He made a few others toys like this for him and other kids started wanting them too so now there are wooden cars all over town. We even started selling them in bulk to the merchants who pass through here after one of them bought one on a whim for his grandson."
Wow. Such a small thing ended up widespread because she wanted something familiar for her son to play with. Abby couldn't help but wonder exactly how much influence her sister had managed to have on this world by accident.
She was very curious about Katie's life here and wanted to know more. Seeming to sense this, Katie excused them (Al and Blaise were still deep in discussion) and showed her around the house.
In addition to a modern bathroom, there was also a fairly modern kitchen. There wasn't a microwave or a proper fridge but Katie explained that there was an ice box of sorts in the cellar outside for keeping things cold.
Adam had a few more familiar toys as well. His wooden car wasn't the only vehicle he had. There was also a wagon pulled by a wooden horse and a rudimentary truck. He had a teddy bear too; stuffed animals did exist here though bears weren't the most popular. Most children had stuffed rabbits for some reason.
There were also wooden blocks to build towers and bridges with. Everything else appeared to be carvings of various animals found in the mountains, such as deer.
"You guys use a lot of wood, don't you?" Abby asked dryly.
Katie shrugged. "We're surrounded by trees; lumber is one of our best resources. Wait until you see the wooden playground I convinced someone to build! All the kids in town love it."
She was fairly certain she knew what kind of playground her sister was talking about. When they were younger, they visited a historical park where the playground was almost entirely made of wood and shaped a bit like a castle. They used rubber and plastic a little bit for slides and rope courses but that was it.
Her sister wasn't the most creative person in the world by any means but she was full of a lot of random knowledge. Getting other more talented people to act on that knowledge had yielded quite the results and she had hardly seen anything yet.
"What other things have you convinced people to make for you?" Abby asked in awe.
It was a lot more than expected. Katie told her how this started when she was still back in the palace because she wanted sweaters and fuzzy pajama pants to get through the winter. While she was still there, she also commissioned a hat loom to be made so she could crochet.
Abby already knew that because of the novel, as well as the attempts at pizza and hamburgers. What she didn't know was everything that happened after coming to the Kanta region.
Since coming here Katie had worked together with a variety of people to create street lamps, light bulbs, a hydroelectric generator, children's toys, swing sets, different types of handy kitchen utensils such as oven mitts, and more. She even managed to improve on the makeshift snow clothes she had made back in the palace.
She also created the concept of a public library and recruited a few talented minds to help her create fun little picture books for children. The children's books that existed here were almost entirely of the educational variety, aside from a few traditional stories that were meant for older children to read on their own.
When she realized she was pregnant not long after moving here, Katie refused to let her child live in a world without age-appropriate fiction. She found a few people who were good at drawing to turn traditional oral children's stories into book form.
Under her guidance—apparently she had read a ton of Wikipedia articles about the history of crayons, colored pencils, and markers out of boredom while laid up in bed several years ago—a few innovators had managed to recreate those as well.
The first books made solely for the Kanta were painted or colored in with markers or crayons. but once they began mass producing them and had to use a printing press they were all too bulky. Once the traders found out about these books and wanted some for their own children, the business grew. 
There was now a full printing press/publishing office set up in town. They used engraving plates to mass produce illustrations and had to use colored pencils to color everything in by hand because they were the thinnest tool available. 
Katie confided that the Kanta became much more involved with the outside world largely because they needed to trade for materials to help recreate things from home but that it had ended up benefiting everyone involved. Unbelievable. An entire economy set up because of the desire for some kids' books.
Abby was astounded by how much she had accomplished in such a short time. A mind like hers had been wasted back in their world.
She majored in political science because it was one of the shorter programs and her health made taking on more than twelve credits per semester difficult. She had no idea what she wanted to actually do with her life and ended up taking the first part-time job she could find post-graduation.
A benefit of working in a school is that you have a lot of time off. Three day weekends, spring break, Christmas break, summers… Katie admitted that she went with that job in no small part because of all the time off for doctors' appointments, physical therapy, and plain old recovering from exhaustion.
Her time was entirely consumed by going to work, going to the doctor, and consuming as much media as possible. Because she was a curious soul, instead of wasting all of her time on Netflix like some people she primarily focused on nonfiction.
Her memory for details was incredible. There was no way Abby would have been able to remember enough about random things like crayons and markers enough to actually make one later.

Katie Pullman, a chronically ill girl who spends her life immersed in fiction, suddenly finds herself inside a novel she has read. Thrown right into the thick of things, she desperately tries to keep the plot intact but happy endings aren't always as they seem...

When Chi woke up for the third time, she was strong enough to stand and take in her surroundings.  The view took her breath away.  She had vague memories of what she saw before and now Chi understood that those whiny maids must have doped her with something because what was before her was unbelievable.  

This place she was in looked endless.  Rows of perfectly made book shelves in dark mahogany wood stretched out to the horizon.  The ceiling was a like a clear pale golden sky.  There were no lights but it seems that ceiling glowed that her vision was not impaired.  She could not see the walls to this place much less a door.  This place looked like it was at least ten miles  from center to border.  That is if where she stood was the center.  

Did she really rolled a least a mile on the floor?

"Holy shit." she whispered under her breath.  Feeling a bit weak at the enormity of her situation, Chi quick sat on the chair with more force than necessary.  The chair did not even creak at her weight.  

Well, it looks like whatever slimmed her up also made her lighter.

"Yea.  Maybe I can eat what I want without..."

Suddenly Chi realized that she had missed something really important.  Closing her eyes, she took a mental inventory of her body.  First she patted her stomach, then down to where her bladder would be located before finally wiggling her butt.  This was odd.  This was really odd.  

Chi knew how well her body works about seventy percent of the time.  She could guess when her period was coming without tracking it, how long she can usually last without eating, and that she always needed to pee when she wakes up from sleeping.  After waking up from sleep twice already, her bladder should have been bursting by now.  

Instead, she felt no urge to void her bladder or any other waste from her body.  As for hunger, Chi was not feeling any hunger pains yet however she was feeling a bit thirsty. 

Did whatever made her body look better also made it so she did not need to do the basic daily functions?  Does her body have organs anymore? 

Pressing her body a little more firmly, Chi tried to feel for something other than muscle and fat.  However she could not tell if the slight bumps on her abdomen were more muscles or her kidneys.  

"Well, at least I won't have to worry about going to the bathroom."

With those thoughts resolved for the time being, Chi took a closer look at the tablet in front of her.  When she first saw the table, only the legs and the bottom of the table were available to her.  Now she could see that the top of the table consists of a beautiful slab of marble jade that was cool to the touch.  On top of that was the stone lamp and a cup made up by a section of green bamboo with a pleasant scent.  Next to that was a large white porcelain jug, its simple yet elegant design made it appear to be a work of art.  A plate of white peaches propped in a pyramid was at the center of the table with a sealed wine jar behind it.

Looking into the contents of the jugs, Chi determined that it contained water from the look and lack of smell.

"Okay, food and water."

She pour a small amount of water into the cup and took a careful sip.  The taste was both bracing and refreshing.  It was colder than ice water and the feel of it was intense against her tongue.  She could feel the water going down her throat and into her belly.  From there, the water seem to turn into energy and just flowed throughout her body.   

"Damn, that is some good water." she murmured and poured a full cup.  Taking it into sips due to the intense cold, Chi mused at the taste of it.  While filter water from the tap was good enough, she could still taste a bit of the minerals and chemicals from the waterways.  Bottle water was gross to her and Lillian due to the added minerals companies use for 'taste' that Chi often just brought a tote filled with travel mugs of filter water from home.             

This water had a taste so pure that it was unreal.  There was no aftertaste - not even from the bamboo.  This water would be great for ice tea.  Chi took a side look at the peaches before sighing.  

"No knife.  I guess I should use my hands."

Taking one of the peaches, she slowly tore it piece by piece.  She dropped each piece into the cup before pouring in more water.  Licking the juice off of her hands, Chi waited for the crush pieces of peach to infuse with the water.  As she washed her hands with a small amount of water, she saw where the messy pit once lay was a whole peach.  

An idea formed in her head and Chi checked into the contents of the jug to see that the water level was still filled to the top.  Apparently this library was a magical place where water and peaches are endless.  That solves her food and water problems if her body still requires substance.  

Are her teeth going to be okay without brushing them?

Dismissing that chilling thought, Chi turned her attention to the sealed jar.  It was about the height of a two liter bottle and twice as wide.  From the feel of it, the material was made of stone that was cool to the touch.  It was probably quite heavy and Chi was curious about its contents but decided to ignore it.  With a magical library, there were bound to be something troublesome and a sealed jar is obviously something troublesome.

Taking her peach infuse water, Chi got up to look at the books and scrolls in the bookshelves.  However at the first sip of the peach infused water, Chi nearly fell on her knees at the taste.  She remembered how the juice on her hands had tasted.  Light, sweet, and practically danced on her tongue was the taste of the white peach.  

Now combined with the water from the jug, the taste of the peach juice from the crush pieces was enhance to a whole another level.  Instead of watering the taste of peach, it evolved it.  The icy cold from the water made the sweetness of the peach clear and bright on her tongue.  The lightness of the peach juice in turn made the water feel less dense on her tongue.  It almost made it feel like she was drinking cold air.

With so many sensations assaulting her tongue, Chi could feel fireworks exploding in her brain.  It was like the adrenaline in her body was soaring through her veins causing her to feel lightheaded.  Her insides were dancing and jumping, tears were streaming down her eyes, and her breathing was coming in hysterical gasps; it made her feel like she was taking some high grade recreational drugs.

Chi started to scream and laugh.  The force and intensity of this reaction caused her land heavily to the ground - belly first.  At least she managed to keep the cup from spilling and she rolled away from it so her hysterical reaction would not knock it down.  Her hands slapped and her legs kicked at the ground and air with so much force that the sounds echoed through out the area.  

The funny part of it was that a part of her mind was detached from it all.  She could feel the power of the blows from her limbs, the rush of energy that churned throughout her veins, the inability to keep quiet because her mind was open to everything, and the strain that her body was under to contain everything.  It felt like it was going to continue on and on.  

However Chi could feel a countdown going in the background.

Three.  

Two.  

One.

In an instant, Chi stopped her hysterics.  Her breathing was harsh like she ran a two hundred meter dash in under five seconds.  The muscles on her face hurt from the amount of work it suffered from her laughing and she could feel her vocal chords were raw from the screaming. 

"Holy shit." she croaked and placed a hand on her chest where a fast pulse could be felt.  It felt like she went on the world's longest roller coaster ride.  The kind of roller of coaster that just goes from zero to a hundred in less than two seconds.  

Staring at the still full cup, Chi briefly wondered if she should just throw the concoction away.  As fun and scary her reaction was, it was obvious to Chi that the peaches and water had something other than the basic atoms in a periodic chart.  However, there was really nothing to do and she was going to be bored without any type of media on hand.  While there are books on hand, she had a feeling that they would written in ancient Chinese - something Chi had no experience in understanding.

So, continue the crazy fun or try to read something with possibly zero pictures?

Chi reached for the cup.

After finishing the sixteenth cup of peach fused water, Chi felt the crazy aftereffects had died down to that of a buzz.  She now can finish a cup with only her blood singing and with herself feeling hyper.  As fun as it was by acting like a maniac, Chi was glad that she was getting use to her makeshift concoction.

Between each cup, she experimented by abstaining from drinking it for several periods of time.  Chi based the amount of time on the amount of books she browsed through.  The longest amount of time was when she cleared about ten shelves and that was because she grew bored.  She had not experience any headaches, chills, or sweats that should come from withdraw so far; therefore Chi concluded that the water and peaches did not contain anything addictive.  

"Mamma mia, here I go again! My, my - how can I resist ya!" she sang as her hips moved to the beat.  

The long endless time in the library was slowly driving Chi crazy to the point that she started to sing anything and everything that she could possibly remember.  Unfortunately for Chi, her singing was not very pleasing to the ear.  She could be in tune about sixty percent of the time, but her ears had been trained to learn perfect pitch from playing the violin as a child and that made her cringe every time she was out of tune.

It was surprising to Chi that she could remember so many songs now when in her previous life she could barely remember the chorus to the top hits of the month.  She sang just about every genre including opera.  It started out with Frank Sinatra which turn into Nat King Cole.  Then it came the Ray Charles which lead her to Kanye West who reminded Chi about Taylor Swift who did several collaborations with other artists that included Ed Sheridan.  Ed Sheridan reminded her of Shawn Mendes who lead her to BTS.  The Korean pop boy group led Chi into a black hole of Korean pop, Japanese pop, and even Chinese pop that lasted quite a while before she finally went to Broadway.

While singing, she danced which involves her moving to the beat in a rhythmical fashion verses having any sort of technique.  Chi was happy that she could dance around without anyone seeing.  She once dance in front of the bathroom mirror and found her dancing to be displeasing.  

However singing and dancing can only waste so much time, and Chi knew that if she did not find something worthwhile to do, she was going to go insane.  Going to a shelf, she picked up a scroll and admired the workmanship of the thin slabs of wood and the calligraphy that was craved onto them.  With her extremely limited knowledge in Chinese; Chi could read only a few characters that she could recognized.  There was the character for man on one slab, the character for sight was a couple characters down from that, there is heaven and year together, and - hey!  She could read the next five easily.  They were the characters for fire, water, metal, wood, and earth.

Suddenly, the scroll in her hands burst into fire.  Chi gave a pathetically weak scream before dropping it.  For several long moments, she stared at the burning scroll in horror before she lifted her robe up to her knees and started to stomp on the fire.  A fire in a library is a bad thing.  Mostly because Chi still has no idea where the exit was to this place.

"Shit, shit, shit," she panted as her feet kept on furiously stomping, "Don't spread, don't spread!"

Luckily, the fire died down, but the scroll had turned into ash and soon Chi was coughing from breathing it in.  She rushed back to the table and drank three cups of water before the taste of ash was out of her tongue.

Her pleas were ignored.

Sighing, Chi slumped in the chair and began doodling on the table with some spilled water.  What was she going to do?  If only she had her tablet.  That thin flat piece of heaven would allow her to access the Internet and Chi could spend days or even weeks just watching movies, television shows, reading all sorts of novels and fanfiction, and listening to music.

If she could, Chi would go into her iTunes account and start watching 'Deadpool'.  Right now, she needed a good dose of vulgar humor, action, and Morena Baccarin.  Closing her eyes, Chi could imagine the credits rolling from Marvel and 20th Century Fox.  Juice Newton's 'Angel of the Morning' began sweetly playing in her ears as the opening credits appeared before her eyes - in amazing high definition.  Wow, her imagination is so much better than the ultra 4k flat screen of that prince's penthouse.  

Opening her eyes, Chi saw that her imagination did not stop.  She was really watching the movie and hearing the audio.  She thought that it would be nice if it could pause and it did!

Gulping her disbelief, she slapped her face a couple of times and felt the stinging pain.  The movie was still in front of her  - a screen that was calibrated perfectly to her eyes for maximum effect and viewing pleasure.  When she focused her eyes else where, the screen actually minimized to the upper right corner of her sight like a mini window.  She thought play and the movie started to play again even as a mini window.  It was like a picture on picture in her mind.

"Can I access the rest of my account?" Chi wondered with excitement bubbling in her chest.  This must the so-called cheat that she read about in web novels and manga.  She did not know how she got it, but if this cheat will allow her to access her iTunes account who cares!

Thus, Chi began the long task of working out this cheat of her.

The bright and noble music of Handel Messiah's 'Hallelujah' blared out in Chi's mind.  While this was going on, she was doing an extremely bad job imitating Michael Jackson's moonwalk.  However she was too happy to care at her lack of coordination.

Her cheat allowed her to browse through any website in her old world with a couple of restrictions.  One was that she was unable to communicate anything either through email, chat, or social media.  This was due to the fact that she could not access her accounts and that her cheat prevented her from creating new ones.  Another was that she could not buy anything online.  That made sense since Chi was currently in some magical library with no exit.   

Oh well, Chi was okay with that.  She now has access to at least a thousand years worth of entertainment to keep her occupied.  Just as she was about to start binge watching one of America's number one long running comedies, a window popped up in her view.  

"Weird, what's this Basic Level Spirit Qi Flow?" she mused, reading the simple introduction before looking over the steps.  It looked to be some sort of breathing and moving exercise.  The explanation stated that it was the very first step to leading to a healthy level of Qi and an important step to the Heavenly Flowing Spirit Qi Arts.

The steps include breathing while moving one's spirit qi through a certain way in their body.  It looked like complete bullshit, but Chi judged it to be some sort of zen exercise.  Figuring that it would not hurt to try it, she went ahead and started the breathing.  The movements of her breathing gave an effect that was soothing and Chi felt her body relaxing and conforming itself into a comfortable state.  

However it was boring for her mentally to do this only, so Chi pulled up the first episode of the television she planned on watching.  And as she continue to watch episode after episode, her body continued to do the exercise.

When Chi died in the mortal 21st century world, she ultimately finds herself in the Heavenly Spiritual World thanks to the youngest prince of the Emperor of Heaven.  

She is to be the personal attendant of the young prince which causes way too many young maids to be jealous.

Thus they shut her up into a forbidden room and it automatically sealed itself up.  

Luckily for Chi, the room happens to be the secret Palace library in which she explored and skimmed the books before finding an amazing spell which allows her mind to connect with the Internet from her previous life.  With that, she spent several centuries exploring the Internet, streaming videos, reading fiction, and listening to music while cultivating with the most basic of lessons. 

By the time someone releases her, Chi discovers that her power level matches to that of the Emperor himself!  Luckily, she is still considered to be the youngest prince's personal attendant so the two spend many happy centuries as master and servant.  

Unfortunately, Chi ends up spoiling her young prince with spiritually rich meals, competent work, and the ability to make connections with benefits.  Thus she gets no vacation time.  

When the young prince gets incarnated into a mortal being as is the rite of passage for young deities, he cheats his way into remembering his old life and calls on Chi to help him deal with his mortal life.

Having no choice, she pops down to the mortal world whenever her master calls upon her for the most basic of orders.  Cooking foods that fits his tastes, drawing out spirit rich baths, cleaning his clothes, and helping him escape from persist young ladies.  

However, when her master orders her to incarnate into a mortal to become a maid for a mortal girl he fancies; Chi refuses.  No way in Hell would she be a mortal again - especially in a world where there has been barely any change in evolution or technology for the past several millenia.

Furious that his loyal personal attendant refusing his order with good reason, the prince manages to find a way to get her into the mortal world - transmigration.

Therefore, Chi is forced to be transmigrated into the mortal world.

At least she still has her power level, her fatty armor, her Cauldren of Broken, and several other items from home.  If Chi was going to suffer being in the mortal world, she was going to suffer in style.  

As the personal attendant of a Heavenly Imperial Prince, Chi might as well help out with his love life.

Thank you so so so much for reading my first English novel. I've been writing since I was 12, like decades ago (yeah... I'm old) and never got anything published since I was a perfectionist and my works needed research and I didn't have the means to do it back then.
I mean, how could you write about life in other countries when you never go there? I felt like a fake - that's why the only people I allowed reading my novels were my sister and a few friends whom I know would still love me no matter how weird I am in their eyes... hehehe.
Before you #coughcough Google... Well, Google and the internet weren't a thing back then (when I started writing), I didn't even have a computer. I wrote in any piece of paper I could get my hands into.
Sadly, out of maybe 100 titles I wrote for almost 20 years, 95% are gone now because my mom thought they were trash (literally) and threw them together with my old school books. It was heartbreaking because I really wanted to be a writer.
When I was young, the future seemed bleak for this poor aspiring writer from a third-world country, especially because I wrote fantasy which didn't sell well compared to contemporary. Anyway... my dream to become a writer had to take a backseat as life happened and I had to focus on making ends meet.
I have a decent job now, working as a freelancer, but I still dream to make it as a professional writer someday. I want to be able to wake up every morning and just decide that I want to write and write, and not having to think about how to put food on the table.

"Mr. West?" One of the teachers called after the bell had rung. Students were clearing the room while James West stepped in front of her desk. She smiled gently up at him. "I've noticed you seem to be struggling in math," He stood, itching to leave. Teachers always make him feel more than a bit uncomfortable alone. He nodded. "I think," She began slowly, "you should go to a math tutor."

His brow creased. The clock on the wall read 3:32. He'd miss his bus if this took too long. Mrs. Walk continued, "There's a new math tutor in room 324, near the art room." Mentally, he tried to find the room. "She's actually an honors student. A senior, like you, too."

He didn't really care too much. James nodded his head. "Why don't you see her today and see if you like her as your tutor?" He didn't want anyone as his tutor. The only reason he wasn't keeping up with math was because of his job.

He was still getting used to working nights. "Alright." Mrs. Walk smiled appreciably at his one-word response.

"Wonderful! I'm sure Miss Night will be thrilled to have her first student!" For the first time, he noticed the small smear of lipstick on her front tooth. Her teeth were a ghastly yellow color and the dark red of the lipstick only made it more obvious.

"Sure." He stepped away from her desk and towards the door, wanting more than anything to get away from the sixty-four-year-old woman and her graying hair. And especially the large quantity of makeup she used to try and hide her age. As he was about to step over the threshold of the classroom, he looked at her from a distance. "Oh, and Mrs. Walk?" Alia Night sat upside down on an uncomfortable plastic chair in a small classroom at the end of some hall. The baggy shirt she wore rode up to where her flat stomach and the smallest line of her bra was visible.

She was bored and tired and hungry. She didn't think anyone was going to want to be tutored by her. The only hope she had for a student was when Mrs. Walk had said, "I know someone who could use help in math."

From her lips, a sigh escaped. What was she doing? Right now she could be at home, warm under her covers and be watching Netflix. And instead, she was waiting in an empty classroom for someone who probably wouldn't even show up. Alia didn't even know who that person was!

Was it a boy or a girl? That was what she wondered most. Her second worry, though, was how bad they really needed help on the subject.

It probably wouldn't even matter if she left right now. So why was she still here, in the classroom, bored out of her mind and hungry?

She knew it was only because she wondered if someone really was going to come to this classroom, needing help with stupid math. But was that curiosity really strong enough to keep her here?

Yes. It definitely was.

"This is stupid. Why am I still here?" She wondered aloud.

Minutes ticked by where she studied all the inanimate objects of the room. The potted plant on the sill of the window. The Expo marker ink dried to the board. But what stood out the most was not an object but a sound. The sound of the wall clock ticking. 3:43 it read.

It felt like so much longer than just fifteen minutes to her. It felt like at least an hour since she'd happily sat in the uncomfortable chair to begin her wait for anyone to tutor. That's what it felt like.

Finally, she decided to leave, that it simply wasn't worth her time. So, instead of continuing to wait, she slid from her chair and stood. Alia slung her bag weighted with books over her shoulder and zipped the open pocket that used to have a granola bar closed.

"This was a waste of my time." She muttered to the empty room. She stomped in the direction of the door, still annoyed by her lost time. Fifteen minutes wasn't long, but it was still too long for her to sit and do nothing.

The door opened, rather unexpectedly, to reveal a James West. He towered a good six inches taller than her so she estimated he was about six foot three. Or, she would've if the very edge of the door hadn't slammed against her knee.

She let out a cry of pain and pushed her hands to her left knee. When she did, however, she bent forward and hit her forehead against the door as well. "Mother of fridge!" She yelled. It was the closest she really ever got to cursing.

She fell backward onto her butt. Now her knee, head, and butt hurt. Wonderful. A good three minutes passed of not-really-cursing, while Alia sat on the floor and James, stood in the doorway, not entirely sure what to do before any words were said. And the words spoken came from Alia, "Help me up!"

"Shouldn't you say please?"

"Just get me off the dang floor!" She was seething and ached where the door had hit her minutes before. He extended a hand and helped her off the floor. She stabbed a finger in his direction after she regained balance, seeming undaunted by their difference in height. "Who are you and why in the heck are you in here?"

Gently, like he thought he would hurt her, he pushed her finger away from his face. Her nails seemed long enough to gouge out his eyes. Staring down at her, he replied, "I'm James West, and I'm pretty sure I'm your first student."

James West doesn't need a tutor, but his teacher seems to think he does. So what more can he do than go to room 324 and meet Alia Night, his new tutor and consequently, future crush?

Ughh, why am I keep on messy up, maybe it's because I never asked Chris the embarrassing questions? I  looked at the clock and it was 7:42 pm then leaned back in my purple rolly chair, I felt my eyes closing and I let it closed then I  fell asleep. 

Chloe... Chloe... wake up, Chris said.  Ring! Ring! Ring!  I'm up! I yelled. my phone was ringing and it was Prince Zach's video calling me. I dismissed the call then texed Zach that I was working and I didn't want to be distracted. He texted Ok. I lean back in the chair then I saw Chris. When the heck you got here! I said when I jump in my Chair. Long enough to know that you would only wake up for your phone, Chris said while laughing. Whatcha doing here, I asked. I couldn't sleep so I came over here, Chris said while drinking a cup of coffee. Wait! what time is it, I asked. It's 10:05 pm, and don't judge I go to be early because I do sports and I have to keep a good sleep schedule, Chris said. Omg, I barely completed my paperwork yet, I said while gripping my hair and also. Hey, while you were sleeping I saw you made a lot of mistakes on your papers so is something wrong or something on your mind? Chris asked with a concerned voice. Umm. No, of course not, I said forcing a smile. Your lying to me, Chris said. How am I supposed to tell him that Neveah told me to find out for sure of what to do it fine out if I like someone by kissing him and that someone is Chris! No what forget it, I know you would tell me someday. While I was working Chris put his head on my shoulder. Hey Chlo, is there a bathroom in this room, Chris asked. Yeah, there's on in the back over there to left. Chris got up to use the bathroom.  I got up to take a break and head out on the balcony.  When Chris came out he saw the princess on the balcony, He watches and admires the moonlight gleaming on Chloe's mixed brown skin with her hair flowing with the breeze. One of the breezes lifted up her dress showing her underwear and at that moment he knew he messed up. He had gotten an erection. He took off his jacket and wrapped it around his waist covering up its front side. When Christian walked away he saw that there were still boxes out that have stuff that hasn't been put up yet. Christian noticed that each section of bookshelves was name and label. Most of the Bookshelves in the manga section were almost done he grab a boxed that was label manga on it. Christian studied the way the Princess organized the books then started sorting out out the books. The Princess came back in, to finish her work and it only has been an hour and 35mins. She went looking for Christian and notice that he was organizing my manga books, I was soo relieved that he didn't pick up the boxed that said life entry on it that because it was all of my dairies I ever owned. I teleported on top of one of the bookshelves that's was behind Chris in an angle where I could still see his face. I felt myself being drawn to look at Christain. He's is so focused on organizing the books, his blond curly cute hair matches his sky blue eyes, his pale skin was so clear and look so smooth, Wait! what and I'm thinking about by the time I realized that I was levitating I was close to the ceiling. Umm, Chris, can you help me out, I yelled down to him. Christian had used his Ice powers to make a staircase that when all the up to the princess. Chris reached his hand up to me and I grabbed it.  The moment our hand's touch I stopped levitating. We walked down the staircase made of ice then it disappeared out of thin air. I look around my room looking for my brush, and I finally found it. By the time Chris got out of the bathroom, he saw that I was struggling to brush my hair. He quickly snatches the brush with is man hands and he started to brush my hair with ease. I missed my afro hair, it was easier for me to take care of it, I said to him. I stopped walking when I got near him then I bend over and kissed him, it didn't even take a second for him to kiss me back. The twins had a rough childhood making them stronger. The girl became over powered with all the abilities she possesses. She have to face her enemies to protect the world with the help of greek gods/goddesses and she have to face her LOVE TRIANGLE.

As I walk out I see the 12 remaining on the floor leaning up against the wall visiting as if without a care in the world, it annoys me to know that the boys and even the girls have no remorse for what they did to my best friend.

"Ok, listen up." I clap my hands to get their attention. "We're gonna go home because I have things to do, you all are coming...seeing as though you don't plan on leaving me alone anytime soon."

"Where is home, Mr. Ethan?" Tiana ask followed by Naveen "And how do we get there, Mr. Ethan?"

"Ok, first of all, stop calling me Mr. Ethan." They look at me confused. "It's annoying, just Ethan is fine."

Oh, Ethan, I forgot to tell you something.

The 12 will act like casual 18-year-olds until you start to command them again.

Yes, because you're only going to another place on earth but if you were going somewhere off of earth than we wouldn't be able to unless I was going with you.

I roll my eyes "Ok, guys and girls, we're going to go home so come on." All 12 get up and begin to follow me to an open field across the deserted street.

Prince Charming catches up to me and put his arm around my shoulder as if we were close friends.

"So, do you have a boyfriend?"

Is this what Noah meant by they act casual?

"What kind of question is that? And aren't you Cinderella's lover?"

"I'm just curious... and Cinderella broke up with me because I called one of her mice, Gus, fat. I wasn't being rude I was just stating a fact."

We walk to the middle of the empty field and halt as I remove Charming's arm from my shoulders.

"That seems pretty rude to me."

Who knew Charming was...not so charming.

"Now stand back, I don't know how big this portal will be."

Everyone walks back about 20 feet and look at me quite worried.

Ok, here goes.

I open the box and a HUGE black portal shoots out and places itself on the grass.

OK.... not what I was expecting.

"I-I guess we go in then."

Putting the tiny box in my pocket, I walk to the dark purple edge of the portal and look in.

OMG Noah, Are you trying to kill me??!!

He doesn't answer but I have a strange feeling he's laughing his butt off right now.

I turn back towards the 12 characters.

"Let's go." I smile nervously and fall back as if I'm doing a trust fall.

10 seconds later I land in my bed, but it doesn't hurt.

The boys land on my right side and the girls on my left.

"How the heck did you all land on your feet?!"

In unison, they all look down at their feet, look up at each other, look at me, and shrug.

"Ok... well, we're home." I climb off my bed to the left.

Suddenly the couples disperse.

Jasmine sits down on my rug, Belle raids my books, Tiana runs into my kitchen, Rapunzel goes into my bathroom and starts pulling out my hair supplies, Cinderella starts going through my shoes in the closet, and Mulan sits down on my bed and starts watching kung fu videos on youtube, all of them followed by their lovers.

Prince Charming, however, walks around the bed and puts his shoulder around me...again.

"So how was your flight? Did they have good customer service?"

"You know I didn't know anyone could tell lamer jokes than Noah's but it seems I was wrong."

"Good to know I'm better than him at something."

"That wasn't a compliment." I roll my eyes

He shrugged "I'll count it as one."

We walk to the living room and sit on the couch.

"What do you want to watch?"

Prince Charming takes his arm from around my shoulders and puts it under his chin in a mock thinking pose.

"Let's watch...Cake wars"

"What...?" I turn to my left to face him with a confused, shocked expression.

"Cake wars." He smiles.

God what is with that smile, it's like so perfect--

Hey, don't be falling for him now!

I'm a little taken back by Noah's response but I continue

You didn't let me finish... So perfect...it's unsettling.

Oh, hehe.

Why'd you suddenly get possessive?  I laugh

I-I didn't...I just don't need you falling in love with any of them because they aren't forever.

I roll my eyes as I start to scroll through Netflix for 'Cake Wars'

Don't worry I don't plan on it. Especially not this hooligan.

Next thing I knew I was waking up in my bed, no Disney characters, no Noah, and no magic.

Just school.

So it was a dream.
