Just as An Fei was wondering where to place the weapon on her body, the quiet keen of protest filtered into her ear for the second time.

The pair of scarlet irises flashed in anger as the young girl whirled around, the sheathed dagger held before her in a cautionary posture.

Surprisingly, the young girl decided to drop the dagger on top of the leather bag, marching towards a corner of the armory.

Answering to her expectation, An Fei did notice an anomaly when she neared the socketed weapons.

The blades of plain steel and design roared its frustration behind barely audible croons, causing the young girl's mouth to twitch.

"You hurt me first, don't expect me to act so kindly to you, ah," An Fei murmured in exasperated laughter, her fingers reaching out to stroke the twin blades' surface.

Midway, her hand froze in the air, as an unbelievable expression swept across her stunning countenance.

The young girl proceeded to step back with the intention of returning to where she had placed the leather bag and her newly acquired qama.

"Just not a plain mirror," replied the grandfather. His gaze distant, his voice was hoarse as he explained. "It'll change your life to the deepest core. Here, since it is your sixteenth birthday, I'll pass it to you as a present."


"How will it change anything?" she retorted, tapping the pristine yet dull surface. "You must be joking! Always prancing about how I need to be more vain, so mean!"

Suma looks at him in astonishment, but not long after, she started to laugh as hard as she can. She even slammed the table and tear started to flow at the edge of her eyes, "Sonny, I never said that he died because of nobles. He died naturally and only hate the nobles until he dies. Also, you have to pay for that string! 50,000 mana grains. If you buy that strings, I might put the leather skin on your bag for free!"

Lucas clenched his fist as he leaves the store. There are a sadness and anger on his face as his steps getting heavier. 'This world, how could they do such things!? I swear, that in this continent, that I will strip their title as a noble!'

He circled around the city to calm himself. Buying various equipment he can use in the kitchen and seeds that he wanted to raise.

Back to the dome

"Redford, why are your secret warriors are here?" Neil asks as he stares to the group of adventurers wearing a full metal armor and the adventurers who wear leather.

"I don't know either. I thought the dome is under attack! It looks like Hugo's wasting our time!" Redford reply as he glare towards Hugo.

Hugo who was the center of attention and can't help but felt ashamed of himself. 'Please, Lucas. I'm dead, I need your help!'

"What with the atmosphere?" A voice came from the top of the wall, "Oh, so the adventurers are finally here! Good! I just came back for a trip, so I'll speak directly to the point. Follow me."

"Lucas, what is this for?" Redford asks Lucas who just jump off the wall, "You said you want an expedition thing?"

Lucas nodded his head while waving his hand, telling them to follow him. Inside the dome, he offers log chairs he made from the crops. "Please sit down, I have something to offer you guys."

Redford sits down first and followed by his people, he stares at him feeling something strange, "What is it? First, Hugo said that you need us for an expedition, now you want to offer us something?"

"Haha, " Lucas laughs at him while taking out a bag of mana grains, "Actually, I want to form a group of warriors, dedicated their life in the guild and not those who serve the nobles! If you can do that, please... I need every rank B and above warriors. Also, I need an accurate crossbow user!"

Redford inhaled a cold air when he heard Lucas asking for people, it was suspicious knowing that he only depends on planteros the last battles. "What do you want from them? If you're going to use them as cannon folders... I will cut our connection!"

"Haha, old man, you're too serious! Well, I don't care about our connections but, I need warriors that are willing to learn how to ride an Acorn Horse. I need someone who wasn't afraid of heights and the most important is a person who could use my crossbow." He looks at the distance and pointed a crossbow, "That is the crossbow I want you to handle. I need sixteen for the crossbow, those are made of mahogany borrowers, so you don't have to worry."

"Ma-mahogany borrowers!?" Redford slap his knee to calm himself but he can't, "Do you have the sap?! If you still have them, we are willing to work on an exchange for sap!"

Lucas knitted his forehead as he raised his brows, "Old man... We can't do that for now, we only able to fill two tanks of water. We can't pay you unless we are done with our preparation."

Hearing his word, an adventurer with leather armor and helmet with fur of some kind of planteros raised his hands, "W-we know that the sap is important. But, we are willing to work for you if. If you could only give us a small bottle of that sap. We won't sell the sap, instead, we are planning to make a weapon out of it."

"Rangga! What are you saying!" Another adventurer with a full metal plate armor stood up held Rangga on his armor.

Blag! Redford stomps his foot on the ground, "The two of you, could you please shut up!?"

The third task he wants them to work with is to become the best warrior of his fortress. He already has the blood orange Eagle, they can become a mount. Eagle has the advantage of being able to fly, but it also is useless if there are no riders who could fight for him. Lucas asks their best archers for Eagle Rider.

He also wants a horse rider, this time, he asks for a warrior that could handle spear, sword, and bow. Lastly, the 16 best crossbow user who is not only accurate but also good at decision making.

He also told them about his plan. A plan to fight back against the nobles. This is the last thing they want to hear. Everyone has their blood boiling in rage, being a country where Guild and Noble existing together, they suffer from the harassment of much stronger faction.

Redford accepts his conditions and sends Rangga to the guild to tell the receptionists to inform the best adventurers and his most trusted that it was time. He asks his people to go out of the fortress for a moment, "Lucas, I know that your fortress is under construction, but I just want to tell you an important news. The nobles finally learned about the battle between you and Marcus. At first, they ask the house of Randolf, but when they heard about their heir also died from the encounter, while losing King Tar and Melon Queen, added with the death of Elmico and disappearance of King Zan, the nobles are alerted and started to gather information about you.

"They now know about your relationship with us and Neil. They also already know about your place, we are still trying to slow down their movements. Soon the next day arrived and we prepared to set out, I looked into the polished silver hand mirror I had on hand and was satisfied with my new appearance,

Over the past two years since I have arrived in this world, I have grown stronger and taller at an above average 5'7" for my age of 15 years. I tuck away those thoughts as I look at my clothing, I still went with a brown tunic over a long sleeved white collared shirt, black trousers and brown leather boots. The main change in my clothing was the cloak, this cloak I made along with the help of Vivian during my time there.

The cloak was layered with multiple defensive runes and my own unique flair, I decided to dye it as a red and black gradient, it's starts a bright red from the start but slowly fades into black by the end, the cloak reaches to my calfs in length and covers my arms as well. The final touches of the mantle was something I decided.

As someone that likes to look cool I also lined the neck of the cloak with white fur and the ends and sides of the cloak also have gold trimmings. The final touch was the golden coat of arms at the back of the cloak. For the cost of arms I decided to pick a lion. The lion has yet to represent royalty and such at this time, so I decided to choose it. 

I mean what's as domineering in medieval Britain than the King the Beasts...?

I put down my polished silver mirror and head down the stairs only to end up face to face with Artoria, she put on a cloak as well and tied up her hair in an attempt to appear more masculine, she also wore a brown leather tunic but with a metal breastplate as well.

She gave off a dignified air, but not quite one of royalty just yet, maybe it's her dragon blood...?

She seemed immersed in my outfit before I flashed my hands on her face, she snapped out of it only to quickly become excited before yelling, "So, cool!"

"Ooops!" She covers her mouth before casting a short magic and clearing her throat. Only for me too hear,

"So cool." She said once again but with a much deeper and more masculine voice.

We stared at each other before we couldn't hold it anymore and broke into laughter, her masculine laughter only instigate me further which she responded in turn, this continued until Merlin arrived and bonked our heads then told us to follow.

We stifled our laughter before giving each other one last chuckle and proceeding after Merlin.

Aurum just sighed. He knew that it would be a long, hard day. As he was getting ready to leave for  the shop, Melodia entered looking around perplexed. Wondering around the store-front looking for something before she heard Aurum speak.

[Aurum] "If your looking for the client, she left already. And didn't I asked you to watch the store while I got Logan?"

[Melodia] "I had to powder my nose, and besides, Logan came in as I left. So there was no trouble."

[Aurum] "Good! I didn't like how she acted. We'll give them decent gear and tell them to get lost!"

Soon the shop came alive with the sounds of tool being used and hammers hitting metal. Soon, Melodia told Carmeli abut the order. All three adult minds soon thought the same thing. That in the next four days, will change everything. While Logan was happily working on armor for himself with a smile plastered on his face. As he stood and turned around. He could be seen in his new armor, made of leather and metal over his blue-jeans, brown combat boots, and a fitted dark grey long-sleeved t-shirt. It consists of a leather shirt that has metal shoulder pads (Like halo's) attached to the leather, a large curved metal plate that covers the top half of his torso and lower neck, and pouches lined the bottom half. On his waist is a long combat knife that set on his back. On his pants were armor that covered his thighs attached with straps and hooks to the pants, with a holster on his right thigh that held a slim line pistol already inside. His calf's had basic angled shin guards that covers the knees as well. On his arms are vambrace-like armor that covered his forearms and dark leather gloves. A dark brown travel cloak hung from his shoulders, a crest could be seen sporting a lily in front of a crossed sword and hammer. None of it shined, it all looked worn and dull in the light; it may not look like much, but it is a titanium-steel alloy.

[Logan] " 'Head to the next town over, and find auntie's house. If you don't show after two days, find a shuttle that will take you to Signal academy on Patch Island. Find a teacher named Taiyang Xiao Long and give him the letter you gave me.' Mom, you gone over this three times already! If its just a simple fight I can help."

[Aurum] "This is different, if I'm correct, this will be a hunter-level fight that might destroy the house and store. We don't what you to get caught in the middle of it. So hows the armor?

Aurum spoke for Carmeli and tried to change the topic. As to lessen the sense of dread that could be felt by every one.

[Logan] "Great! You helped me lessen the weight were I don't need it and I can move easier than before!"

[Aurum] "Good! And the blueprints?"

[Logan] "Gone, like you said. Everything is in my head, and no one but me can read it."

[Aurum] "Great! Now than get going! Your scroll has the directions should you get lost. And remember one thing."
[Aurum, Carmeli, Melodia] "We love you!"

Logan left, no tears, no waving, nothing. For Logan knew everything will be fine. He will see his family again, be it sooner or later. However, unannounced to him, his journey will be long.

At the first sunrise, in this New World
Celestial bells sang their morning hymn, waking up everyone.
The tower too awoke from its enchanting dreams.


"Uh... Good morning... What is this nice scent?" Asked Jun, but no one answered. After looking around he saw Darien fallen on the floor and Angel couldn't be found anywhere.

Sometime later
"What are you doing Angel?"

"Good morning Jun, I'm cooking our breakfast. Can you go to call the others?" 

"Okay... And this morning song? What is it?" 

"Uh... Probably an alarm set from the tower. I'll tell you later. Go, go, before it's too cold"


Soon after, when the food was about to be served, Jun comes back with two red plump cheeks escorted by two angry girls.

"Jun! You need to pay attention to this! You can't go to a girl's room without her permission. 
I know you had your head in the clouds. But you deserve these" Sarah angrily pointed his cheeks.

Sadly Jun looked at the table where Darien, waiting for them, was ready and eager to eat.
Meanwhile, Angel served the plates.

"You...! Traitor!!!" Jun nagged him.

"?" Darien with puppy eyes, puzzled looked him. So in this way, their first breakfast began.

In the main hall of the apartment.
They decided to make a trip to the town tomorrow. For today, they wanted to see their new ability and the equipment in the small warehouse.

"Darien! What are you doing? How can you do this?" Asked incredulous Jun. While Angel was helping him, taking some of his equipment.

"Uh...?"

"How can you carry this heavy equipment? It could weigh roughly 25-35kg, only this armor!" Pointing at his full hands.

"?"
The sword alone in Angel's hands weighed about 5kg, without counting the other thing.

"And you Angel, what are you wearing?" Looking at his new clothes.

"My new equipment, Do you like it?" Expecting a compliment.

"Uh... It's... " Doubtful, he didn't know how to answer.

Clap!!! Jun received a heavy pat on his shoulder. Seeing Jun uncertain, He didn't want to make him anxious, so he gives him a pat and said, "Hurry up! There's also your equipment in the warehouse"

Jun without waiting immediately ran away.

"Watch out! The girls are there too" *Probably it was too late* thought Angel.

In the training ground of the apartment. Soon after the boy managed to wear his complex equipment 

Sarah said, "You look awesome Darien! How can you wear this heavy armor?"

Nearly the little girl.
"You look good too, Angel," Kassandra said, gazing the one next to Darien. 

"Thank you, Kassandra, You too, look amazing with these clothes" Received the reply this little white sheep turned red.

In another side of the training room.
Jun, with his leather garments and hood on, was jumping up and down, left and right. On his hands, he had two cold daggers and in various parts of his body, many hidden blades twinked with the help of the room's lights.

"I see... he like this type of equipment. He looks like a thief class in games"

"You too Darien, try your gear." He really looks like a paladin, better to say a fortress, Angel thought.

Darien's equipment was composed of plain white steel armor, a tower shield, and a great sword. All this equipment gave him a feeling of sturdiness and heaviness. 
At the first look, he appeared like a perfect tank. However, he was a little thin. 
The shield was huge, wide more than him and tall nearly his height. In his hands, a sword with a long hilt enough to take it with two hands reached almost his height too. Hidden on the back of the shield were placed a shortsword, if necessary. 
All this heavy equipment weighs around 45-60kg or more.

"Wow! Seen up close, it's more awesome! How can you carry this? Isn't it too heavy?" Sarah asked.

"Uh... Not too much" Indifferently reply.

*So Michael gives him a healthy and stronger body. But I'm not strong like him. I'm still a bit stronger than before, more flexible and my reflexes are improved. Uh... So the angel didn't give us a healthier and stronger body but a body...?* Thought Angel. 

"What are you daydreaming? Hurry! Hurry up! We need to try Darien's tankiness, what are your abilities?" Sarah while asking, took out the bows and arrows from yesterday and some throwing daggers.

Sarah was fitted in a hoodie leather jacket and pants too. It was easy to move and do all the movements. In her gears, a military mimetic cloak gives her the possibility to hide and snipe. On her belt, there were some throwing daggers on the leg and a short blade on the right, that help her with close combat. On the back lurks a quiver with many arrows.

In that instant.
"I wanted to try my new skill!" And an arrow with its head lighting a pale blue aura shot from Sarah's bow.

Scared Darien raised up his towering shield and blocked the shot.

The arrow reflected on the shield and gone where Jun was madly jumping.

"Be careful!" "Watch out!" Angel and Kassandra shouted concerned. 

There was enough time to dodge the incoming danger.

"Ah....!" It was too late. The arrow takes out his other foot, the healthier one. Upsetting those present.

"F***!!! You w..." Exclaimed.

"What did you say? Say it again! I didn't do it. I didn't... I didn't do on purpose... 

I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I'm sorry b-but..." Frustrated she started to cry. 

Soon after
Consoled by Kassandra, Sarah stopped crying.

While Angel went to bandage Jun's wound and Darien tried his news ability, 'speed up natural healing'.

"So you have a healing ability too"

Darien proudly brings up his chest.

"I'm sorry Sarah, I didn't have to say it"

"No, no. I'm the one that needs to apologize"

After this break 

Angel and Kassandra, the ones with light armor, wanted to try some skill.

Angel's light armor, was composed of a part metallic a part leather, that covers up his top and a little bit down. He had leather pants with a metal plate that covers his knees with solid protection, two simple poleyns. On the feet, two leather high boots protected the low legs. A gauntlet defended him on his left arm and in his right hand awaited a long sword.
And lastly, on his head a helmet with a long red plume decorated it.

Even Kassandra's armor covers her vital parts with a metallic structure. Under the metallic pieces, it can be seen as a dress, part leather partly composed of chains like chainmail. Covering her legs, the dress she wears, reached down enough to cover her upper legs like a mini skirt. Her knees were protected poleyns lIke Angel, but shorter. 
As a weapon, she had a cane looking like witches and wizards' staff. It has hidden a beautiful saber that uses its head like a hilt.

"Kassandra you are a ... mage?" Angel looked at her staff.

"I don't know" Revealing her hidden blade.

"This is so cool! I want one!" Sarah drooling over.

"And you, Angel? Are you a warrior, a knight?"

"Maybe?"

"Mhmm... Do you want to try some skills?" Said the white girl.

"Okay"

"Me too~"

"No!!!" All shouted. "Wait a bit, when we are done." Angel added.

Very soon at the end of the day, too fast than expected, with all sweating and some bruises, they went to wash up.

"I can't resist one more minute in this leather suit. Kassy, come with me. I'm too soaked!"

"Me too, shhh... You required to say it so loud"

"Guys we are leaving!" Sarah said and The two girls went to the bath, leaving behind the three guys to clean up. 

Meanwhile, an unexpected shadow peeked them.

Whereas, Angel when he was taking Sarah's arrows on the floor, sensed something.

In the night.
Eaten the dinner prepared diligently by Angel, with Jun and Kassandra help, they went to the main hall of the tower.

In the dim light of the first floor, they saw something.

Bang!!! Someone or something was hit.

"What are you doing!?" Said the first shadow.

"We haven't much time!" Exclaimed the one on the opposite side.

"Shhh... You are too loud! I've seen that party doing..." Said the last.
Hurried to get out, they ran away. 
 
Something strange happened right under their nose. But no one had the answer.

In the same place as the last night, two figures were enjoying the view. When winds were playing with the flowers

Suddenly one of them asked.
"Angel, did you know I wanted to suicide?"

The other didn't know what to say to this unexpected question. 

"My family were marrying me t-t-to..." A tear dropped and reached Angel, who turned his gaze at her.

And some revelation appeared in front of the young man. 

"He was so old! he could have been my grandfather or worse" More tears dropped.

"..."

The silence was drowning the boy.
But suddenly, the angels dispatched the winds to his help. Then the four wind gods received his pray, delivered their presents.

Boreas, the wind of the north brought the frost of the late-night like a blanket on the flowers.

Notus, the south wind, friends of the clouds, took them away, freeing the moons' lights.

Eurus the one of the east didn't know what to do, goes to play with petals, creating whirls of white joys.

Lastly, Zephyrus the gentlest of the winds, seeing everybody effort went to bring their presents to the depressed girl.

"Look! I know this spot was the best!" 
"Look! Look this landscape, is so beautiful, isn't it?" Kassandra said, staring at the moons' light shining on the white sea of flowers. 
While the herald of the winds brings before her eyes a dance of flower and an explosion of moonlights, with help of the frost crystals.

On the balcony with her, Angel said "This is the most beautiful view in my life. If we can stay here forever. It isn't a bad idea." Smiled turning his gaze at the goddess of this blazing white world, with two sea pearls.

"Yes, it is." Said admiring this goddess beloved by the Moon and crowned in a blooming of white treasures.

The two mesmerized by the event waited for a while looking at the white art. 

While on the back, near the door, Sarah and Jun were learning on each other and sleeping. Darien too was sleeping in his own bed.

When humanity left to bask in their laziness, conflicts busted out and the weaker suffered diseases, Legends will birth bearing the lost hope of the people.

In a world where no God is living anymore, Creatures from remotes memories, Heroes of epic tales and Gods forgotten by mankind will come back to take what is theirs.

Youngsters brought in an Unknown World will find the way to return, leaving back the past.

No laws will enchain them.

~Third Person P.O.V~ 

"Where's Piper?!" Leo had barely finished uttering the words and he'd already turned around and headed towards the door, Leo reached for the doorknob, though instead of his hand grasping the metal handle, instead, it passed straight through. 

"What?" Leo asked out loud, he reached once more, thinking perhaps he had just missed the knob.. except this time the knob disappear completely. 

"Hey! What?!" Leo exclaimed, stepping back he looked up, watching the door vanish. 

"Hey! Let me out! What's going on?" Leo asked, feeling for the door, instead, he found nothing but hard cobblestone. 

"Hehehe... Nobody can hear you.. nobody could help you... not anymore." A dark, raspy voice rang through Leo's ears, sending a chill down his spine. 

"H-hello..?" Leo asked, almost too scared to turn around and saw his reflection on the large mirror near the dresser. He saw no one, he was alone in the room.. at least he hoped. 

"Who's there?!" Leo called out, trying to sound fierce, despite this, his voice hitched his throat. Leo wandered deeper into the bedroom, his eyes wary, they scanned the room for anything suspicious. 

"Just you, Leo." The voice called out once more, this time sounding like his own voice although... mildly distorted. 

Leo felt his skin jump, he slowly turned to the source of the voice. His teeth jittering, he found himself face to face with the mirror. With his reflection. 

"W-who are you..?" Leo asked, his knees shaking. His reflection seemed.. wrong, sick. His eyes were replaced by gaping black holes, the same with his mouth. 

"As I said, I'm you" The reflection reached a hand through the frame, holding it tightly, before stepping through. 

"Guah!" Leo jumped, falling back hard, now laying on the floor. He felt exposed and vulnerable, petrified with fear. His breath becoming chilly with frost. 

"I am your sins, your anger, your fear. I am your nightmares, I am you. Everything wrong with you." His reflection spoke, in a crooked voice, stepping ever closer. Leo couldn't do anything but watch, he was too scared to move 

"And I.. am here.." The voice began to pant, gurgled noises came from its gaping maw as black sludge began to drip from it and the holes where its eyes should be. It lurched over towards Leo, grabbing onto his arms, sending a bitter chill up his spine. 

"For.. YOUR SOUL!" 

Leo let out a high pitched scream of terror, his heart pounding as he began to freeze the floor subconsciously, his eyes tightly shut, his whole body shaking with fear. 

Suddenly, the voice spoke again, although this time it wasn't the nightmarish growls of a demon.. it was.. laughter? 

"Bwhahahahaha.. ahahaha.. ahh.. dude.." Leo removed his hands from his face, his warm brown eyes trailing up to see a semi-translucent boy wearing what looked to be a bomber jacket, black jeans, and sneakers just floating about a foot off the ground. All bathed in the same ethereal glow. 

"W-what.. what..?" Leo asked, in utter confusion. 

"Hey, what's the matter pal?" The ethereal boy asked, going closer to Leo. 

 "You look like you've seen a ghost!" He said, elbowing his arm playfully and winking. 

The boy raised back into the air, an ethereal drumbeat and chair manifesting from nothingness. The boy playing the snare and cymbal, making that iconic 'badum tss' sound. "Thank you! Thank you, I'll be here all eternity." 

"Wait.. was all that.." Leo began, not sure whether to be filled with relief or anger. "A prank?" Leo asked, still on the floor. 

"I mean, yeah dude. Come on, you really fell for that old cliche 'Your soul!!' bit?" He stifled another laugh, offering a hand for Leo to grab, that hand gloved in dark brown leather. The only part of his being not bathed in the glow. "I'm Colin, by the way. Your roomie! Need a hand? Oh, we're gonna have so much fun together I can see it now." The boy smiled sweetly, his messy ethereal hair floating slowly with each slight movement. 

"Yeah... I think I'm good." Leo said, helping himself up. 

"Hey... you aren't upset at me are you, roomie?" Colin said, flying a little bit closer to Leo. 

"No, of course, I'm not, 'roomie'. You just scared me half to death and then laughed at me. It's no biggie." Leo said, sarcastically opening up the wardrobe and rolling his eyes. 

"Hey.. don't take it the wrong way, I greet all my new friends this way." Colin said, floating down, now standing on the cobblestone behind Leo. 

"Yeah, and how's that working out for you?" Leo asked, irritated at how his new 'roomie' can't seem to fathom how wrong it was to scare him like that. 

Colin stepped back, and without a word he flew back to one of the beds, diving under the covers. 

Leo dropped his pants and undergarments, find a new pair of pants and boxers in the wardrobe. "Mm.." Leo's eyes darted off to the side where his new roomie was hiding under the blankets. He was not going to let this guy guilt-trip him. 

Leo slipped on the underwear and pulled up the jogging pants, his gaze not leaving the boy under the covers. 

"..mn..." Leo dropped the old pair into a hamper and was about to head to the bathroom when he felt himself groan. 

"Hey.. Colin" He spoke, no response. 

"Colin?" Leo asked, moving closer. Still no response, he sighed, cursing his guilty conscience and set on Colin's bed. The mattress was cold and soft. As if no one's actually been laying in it. 

"Roomie... come on, I'm sorry for snapping earlier.. you just kinda caught me off guard." Leo said, placing a hand on the mass under the covers. 

"Didn't you say you wanted to have fun?" Leo asked, trying his best to cheer up his new roommate. 

Colin sighed under the covers, flying out of them and slowly drifting down and crossing his legs on the bed. "Yeah, yeah.. sure. Sorry, you just kinda.. struck a nerve earlier." Colin closed his eyes when he reopened them his frown was replaced by a playful smile. 

"Let's start over?" Colin asked, a sorry yet friendly look in his eyes, placing his hands on his lap, his leather glove now folded neatly by his bedside. 

"Sure, roomie." Leo relaxed his shoulder and swung his feet onto the bed, crossing his legs and sitting in front of Colin. 

"Hi Leo, the name's Colin. Apollo told me all about you and how you'd be my new roommate. Now I know what you're thinking. 'Are you an actual ghost?' And the answer to that is no, I am in fact, A Specter. For what that is, you'll learn about that in our magical bestiary class." Colin said, sounding a little excited. 

"Apollo told you about me?" Leo asked, raising a brow. 

"Yeah, but just how you and your sister are new around here, so I, the noble and kind-hearted Colin thought I'd take it upon myself to show you the ropes of the Equilibrium. Show you what it means to be one of us." Colin said, jokingly placing a hand over his chest when he said noble and kind. 

"Wait, just my sister? What about Piper? Isn't she here too?" Leo asked, leaning towards the ghostly boy. 

"Piper? Blonde girl, who arrived with you two right?" Colin asked, Leo nodding, eagerly awaiting his response. 

"Ah, don't worry about her. She was taken to a different medical bay, you'll bump into her again sooner or later." Colin said dismissively. 

BONG!! BONG!! BONG!! 

The tintinnabulation, thundering sound of a large bell ringing echoed throughout the halls, catching the pair's attention. 

"What was that?" Leo asked Colin, his gaze shifting towards the door. 

"Oh, that? That means they're summoning everyone to the atrium." Colin said almost dismissively, his eyes closed before he realized what he just said, his eyes going wide. 

"Here's your schedule gotta go bye!" Colin said without any pauses between his words before flying out of the room, leaving Leo dumbfounded.



I was so comfy, dreaming about a life full of chocolate, and being able to eat it all without any risk at all. It the most magnificent world, but something was nagging at me, something was poking me… 

 “Esther!” Carlo shouted and I finally understood what was poking me. “I swear to God that if you don’t get up right now, I will throw a bucket of water and ice at you!” He warned pulling my covers off. 

 “My chocolate!” I whined. “What do you want Carl?” I sighed as I sat up. “What are you doing inside my room waking me up?” I yawned rubbing my eyes. 

 “You were supposed to wake up forty minutes ago!” Carl exclaimed. “Please tell me that you haven’t forgotten about the charity concert Devil Five is having today!” 

 I stared at him blankly. “Oh fuck!” I exclaimed jumping out of my bed. “Please tell me that I have some time! Enoch is going to murder me!” 

 “Twenty-five minutes.” Carl winked at me. “Hurry up!” 

 “Get out then!” I shouted as I walked over to my bathroom. 

I groaned as I took the fastest bath I have done. How could I have forgotten about the charity concert? It’s a trademark Devil Five has! We have it every single month! And it’s not like I could bail, given that it was also tradition to have Devil Five Kids, yes that means us, cover the concert whilst Devil Five is changing wardrobe. 

Grabbing something quick, given that they also give us cloth for the concert. I managed to finish getting in record time. I only had to make sure that I looked half presentable. Making sure that I wasn’t forgetting anything, I made my way, running may I add, towards the stairs… Wasn’t that great of an idea, as I managed to trip and roll down the stairs, only to stop right in front of my father. 

 “Good morning Esther,” He chuckled as he took a sip of his coffee. “In a rush are we?” 

 I rolled my eyes. “Morning Enoch,” I sighed. “Why was Carl up in my room? I thought Bryan was the one in charge of making sure we are all up and going, or maybe Ralph.” 

 “He claimed he wanted to help,” My father shrugged. “Hurry up with breakfast. Everyone is almost ready and we have a concert to attend.” 

 “Sure dude,” I winked as I rush past him into the kitchen, only to find everyone there. 

As in entered the kitchen, I couldn’t help but smile, this was my family and even when they sometimes got on my nerves, I loved them more than anything. I sat on the counter, earning a look from Guile, but then a wink, as he handed me a banana muffin. 

 “Is everyone ready?” Ralph questioned as he entered the kitchen, may I add that he never looked up from his phone. 

 “I believe,” Guile replied. 

 “Are the wives coming?” I questioned. 

 “They are meeting us on the set,” Ducky replied. “Alongside the Devil Twins.” 

 I nodded. “I knew people were missing.” They all chuckled. 

 “Let’s get going then,” Carl Rhodes spoke. “The sooner we are there, the more Devil Five Kids can practice.” 

 “Does anyone know which songs are we performing?” Hunter questioned as he kissed my cheek.” 

 “You’ll get them at the arena,” Ralph replied. “Kids,” He stared at each one of us. “Mike is taking you to the arena, you’ll meet up with Bryan and he’ll give you further instructions.” 

 “Aye.” We all replied. 

 “Devil Five,” Ralph sighed. “You are coming with me, please let’s hurry we are on a tight schedule.” 

 “Youngsters,” Mike spoke entering the kitchen. “Your ride awaits!” He laughed and we all followed him towards the car. 

Hunter, Blaze, Carl, Robert and I followed in a beeline. Entering the car, we all got into our normal ritual before a concert. The ritual consisted of placing our earbuds and listen to all the Devil Five songs to remember everything and get in the mood of the concert. 

This tradition started thanks to crazy old me. I have always been around for the concert and the crazy life of Devil Five. One night, whilst the band went to their wardrobe change, which was the time for the fans to get some food, hit the bathroom and such, I snuck into the stage, I wanted to read something, given that I had just learned how to ( I believe I was around four), I sat in the middle of the stage and started reading the poem. Some fans that were still there started shouting and encouraging me, and as time passed, the rest of the kids started joining me, whenever they were on tour. So that is the origin of our tradition… Not so interesting right? 

 “Okay everybody,” Mike spoke as he parked the car. “Bryan is already out there inside waiting for you, so please hurry up.” 

We all got out of the car and ran right into the stadium, fans were lining up and we were on strict orders to not stop and speak with the fans, given that we were running behind schedule, and also they didn’t like for us to interact with fans if there was no adult supervision, given that we already had a bad situation. 

 “Hello kids,” Bryan smiled. “You are going to be doing covers from the last album.” We all sighed, we knew them by heart. 

 “Aren’t they singing these songs too?” Blaze questioned. 

 “Yes,” Bryan sighed. “But you are doing the covers as well.” 

 “Just ignore him,” Carl chuckled. “We all do that,” He shrugged and we chuckled. “Which songs are we supposed to rock out?” 

 Bryan stared at his iPad. “Devil Soul, Set of Five, Angel Wings, and Crown.” He replied and gave us a pointed look. 

 “Set of Five,” Robert laughed. “I remember when they wrote that song.” 

 “Yeah,” I smiled remembering. “It was about us and they didn’t want us to hear it until the concert.” 

 “Yet,” Hunter smirked. “We managed to LEARN it before they played it!” 

 Carl sighed. “Good old times,” He spoke. “Now, who’s playing what?” 

 “I vote for sticking to our best instrument and or ability,” Robert suggested. “Those in favour say aye!” 

 “Aye!” Everyone replied and I groaned. 

 “I don’t want to sing!” I whined. 

 “You have the voice of an angel,” Carl smiled. “Guitar.” 

 “Drums over here,” Robert replied. “Do you guys know if the Devil Twins know how to play any instrument?” 

 I shrugged. “I don’t know,” I answered. “But it’s not like they need to know.” 

 “But Esther!” Carl refuted. “When you were their age, you already played the violin, guitar, bass, you sang and you knew a bit of drum.” 

 I raised an eyebrow scared. “You make me sound like a complete nerd!” I laughed. 

 “I’ll ignore you two,” Hunter rolled his eyes. “I’m with the bass.” 

 “I’m on the piano then.” Blaze smiled at me. “I just have one question,” We all turned to him. “Carl, are you going to be able to keep up with the guitar solo in Devil Soul?” I rolled eyes. 

 “Esther,” Carl sing-sang. “I was going to ask for your help. We all know that I am nowhere as near as good as you are, but you do own the voice of an angel.” 

 I groaned. “Guys!” I whined. “You describe me as if I were a prodigy of some sort,” I huffed. “Carl I am more than sure that you are cable of doing the solo! I have all my faith in you!” 

 “Kids,” Bryan sighed. “Devil Five has just arrived,” A collective groaned was heard. “Esther, please help Carl with that solo.” 

 I gave an evil eye to Carl. “You are singing more than backups with me in that song.” 

 “I love you!” Carl laughed and blew me a kiss. 

Bryan was right, Devil Five was here as the screams and the commotion got worst than before. I moved towards a window, only to see them waving at their fans, smiling as they took pictures of them. The barrier was being shaken, and I saw how all of them took several steps back until security appeared and moved them inside the stadium. 

I took in a deep breath, if they were here, it meant that makeup, hair and wardrobe were just around the corner. As if I were a magician, our team barged through the door, barking orders to everyone, and just like that we all started getting ready. 

 I was falling asleep on my chair as the woman kept pulling my hair when I felt a soft kiss on my cheek. “Esther?” Blaze smiled as I opened my eyes. 

 “Hey,” I whispered with a small smile. His eyes were glowing with happiness. 

 “Do you know if we have to match?” He questioned and I frowned. 

 “I have no clue,” I shrugged. “Why does everyone assumes I know everything?” I questioned and he shrugged. “Although, wait, is match or match with our parents?” 

 “With parents.” He replied. 

 I shook my head, only to feel my hair being ripped, I gave the stinky eye to the lady on my hair. “Beats me,” I shrugged. “I can call my dad and ask him, I mean, Bryan didn’t tell us and wardrobe is not here.” Finally, the lady was done with my hair and she moved away. 

 Before I could even take out my door, Ralph was bursting through the door with our wardrobe. “Devil Five Kids! Listen up!” He shouted. “We are matching today, your outfits are here.” 

 I stared at him with my eyes wide open. “Pretty please with cherries on the top, tell me that you have another option for me so that I don’t have to wear leather pants!” I whined as the rest chuckled. They all had normal dads. 

 “Yes,” Ralph pointed out. “You have two options,” He showed me the first one. “Either wear the same outfit as your father or,” He grabbed a dress. “Wear this leather dress.” 

 I cringed at the short leather dress he held up. “Heck, give me the pants!” I exclaimed. “I will never wear a leather dress!” Everyone laughed. 

 “Hurry up kids!” Ralph shouted. “You’re out in twenty!” And with that, he left us. 

I stared at my friend and we all started laughing. Even when this wasn’t our everyday life, we did enjoy every moment of it!

His manservant doesn't take me to the weapons chamber, the dragon does. First though, the dragon delivers clothing. He tells me to put them on and be ready in an hour. It gives my food time to settle and I also have an opportunity to bathe.
The clothes are a problem. They're made of beautiful, brown pliable leather. Soft fur lines the outer seams. The entire outfit, though incredible, is obscene. There's nothing to it. I'm accustomed to heavy skirts that I had to loop through my belt so they remained out of my way while I hunted and trained. Nothing on this outfit will be in the way. More skin shows than even the bride gown displayed.
I dress in the clothes out of curiosity. Nothing so fine had ever touched me. The garment has a wrap-around flap in the front and the back buckles at my hips. My legs have the freedom to move in all directions. It barely covers my upper thighs and my bottom. When I move, the material separates and my hips show through the slits. The top piece covers only my breasts.
I can't wear it outside of this room. I stare at the boots-sturdy and made from the same material. I can't help myself and pull them on. Heaven. Fur lines the insides. Small buckles run up my outer legs and end just below my thighs. Some type of strange material coats the bottom of the boots. I jump up and down a few times and they actually spring with my movement.
I grab my blade and walk into the bathing chamber to glance at the looking glass. I can see only my upper half. At least my breasts are covered and secure within the leather. What's not covered is the mark at the top of my breast. The one he made with his lips. My fingers skim up to the spot at my throat. My face heats up. How can he do this to me when he's not even here? How can I not think of fucking? And I hate the word, though it doesn't matter because that word is exactly what runs through my mind.
I back away from the looking glass and swing the blade. The thrill of unencumbered movement is intoxicating. I love the new garments even though I'm embarrassed to wear them. The dragon said he would train me. No man in my village would dare. Yes, because I am a bride, but also because women are never trained in the ways of war. Each day I went hunting, I would travel at least two hours so no one would see me. I had to train in order to place food on our table and also to kill the dragon. Now I have no reason to practice with a blade. I want to, though. I crave learning everything about properly using a sword.
I hear a noise and instantly raise my arm as I turn.
He stands in the doorway, his mouth hanging open. It's the perfect opportunity to cleave his head from his shoulders, and my arm is heading downward. I stop the swing. His death is no longer what I want. Acasia's story took away my bloodlust and I see the dragon in a very different light. That doesn't mean I must like it, though. Looking at him with my mouth watering, I know exactly what I do want.
He's dressed in tight, black, linen pants that define the muscled curves of his thighs and legs. His white shirt has billowing sleeves that gather just above his wrists. Suddenly, I'm horribly embarrassed that he sees me dressed in so little. I cross my hands over my breasts with the sword held downward.
"You're incredible," he whispers. I see lust in his eyes.
I purposely add a touch of ire to my voice. "I'm nearly naked."
His eyes make another sweep over my body. "Nonsense. This outfit suits you perfectly."
I shake my head. "I'm a bride. I can't be seen this way."
His eyes flash with silver. "You're my bride and you can be seen how ever I choose. What of the arm guards? Do you not like them?"
Two additional pieces of leather rest on the bed. "I wasn't sure what they are."
He turns, walks to the bed, and picks them up. "Come here and I will help secure them."
Why should I even care? He's right. I must wear what he dictates. With the material caressing my skin, this command goes down easier than any of the others. I go to where he stands and place one arm out. He buckles the leather beginning at my wrist. His fingers whisper across my skin and the fluttering is back in my belly. He smells good too. It's hard to think about anything but what his body will feel like against mine. I'm hopeless.
There are thin strips that circle my arm and tie at the top. "What are these for?" I can't help asking.
He removes a sheath with a small knife from his hip and slides it into the leather ties of the arm guards. "Several will fit comfortably and won't inhibit your movement. Never rely on one weapon; you always want backup."
His lesson intrigues me so much I forget I'm all but naked. Then he turns me to the side and his breath runs across my shoulders through my hair. Suddenly, I feel every bit of my unclothed state. He doesn't seem to notice the goose bumps that pepper my skin as he attaches the other arm guard.
Surprising me, he grabs my hair and ties it tightly at my nape with a small piece of leather. I watch as he does the same to his own.
He steps back. "You have more than one hidden weapon," he whispers as his eyes scan my body.
I have no idea what he's talking about.
"I will take you to the armory chamber myself and help you decide on a weapon that suits you."
Something is wrong with this picture. He's an entirely different being than he was the day before. He pulls me toward the door and I dig my new boots into the wood beneath my feet. "Is this a trick?"
His head goes back and laughter fills the room. He wipes a tear from the corner of his eye when he finally controls himself. "Training you will entertain me until we can get on with the fucking. You may start begging at any moment, so we had better get you armed and your first lesson over with." He turns and walks away.
"I will never beg," I whisper to his back.
He hears me, though he doesn't bother looking at me "Never say never," is his pompous reply.
