Author's Notes

I'm sure you've read this a few times in the previous chapters, but I had been reading MTL chapters for the past few years. I usually read "Completed" stories, and most of them are around 2-4k chapters each. Of course, I read the translated chapters first. After I reach the latest translated chapter, I will immediately jump to *cough* Google Translate.

Yeah~ I know. Reading chapters through Google Translate was the most…epic mistake I did in the past. I've finished World Defying Dan God, Battle Through the Heavens uhh…and a few more novels using Google Translate.

In the later years, I discovered lnmtl.com, which gave me a better translation (at least the names of the characters are not written like Cloud Che instead of Yun Che (Against the Gods). 

To be perfectly honest, If I didn't start writing, I would have continued to read these machine translated chapters even now. Reading MTL works if English is not your first language.

This is something that those with English as their main language will scoff at. However, for those who just want to read. As in reading something without worrying about anything else, then they won't care even if it's a machine translated chapter. As long as they will be able to read the NEXT chapter, then it's all good.

This is also the reason why I admire translators. If not for them, these stories that we are not aware of will not be able to grace us with their presence. I would like to thank the translators of my favorite novels like Lord of Mysteries, Release that Witch, Against the Gods, Cultivation Chatgroup, Second Coming of Avarice, and so many other titles that I won't be able to list here.

To my beloved readers, if there will come a time when you feel like writing a story of your own and you're reading machine translated chapters, please stop now. I'm saying this for your own good. 

I understand how you feel. Believe me I do, but for the sake of the story you're going to write in the future, heed my advice. Stop now, while you still have the chance. Learning how to write from scratch with broken English is a painful process.

Then again, if you find an editor who is a masochist, consider yourself lucky. Let them clean up your mess for you, so you can focus on writing your story, and learn the art of writing while you write.

Superintendent Ouyang was being obviously biased. She was even telling general surgery director Zhao Quanping to send a second-highest level certification doctor over to help the enemy. Zhao Quanping was so angry that even his heart hurt, but what could he do?
There was nothing that he could do. No ordinary surgery would be too difficult for Zhang Fan. Although Zhang Fan hadn't shown off any major general surgeries yet, the fact that he could perform liver tumor removal surgery at a level where even the general surgery director of Raptor City's Dee University Affiliated Hospital wanted to come learn from him, it was likely that Zhang Fan would also be skilled at the major and difficult general surgeries.
As Zhao Quanping walked back to his own director's office, he mulled over the superintendent's words. He calmed down and felt that she was actually correct. The doctors in the general surgery department were far too complacent. It was about time to make them feel a sense of loss.
All of the doctors and nurses in the proctology department were quite happy with all of their newfound work. Only by having patients would the medical staff have more bonuses. Who wouldn't want more bonus money? The head nurse seemed like she was on fire every day at work as she said in rapid succession things like: "Who's in charge of patient #17? He's smoking in his room! The doctor in charge needs to go scold him. Patient #33 is about to be discharged. Hurry and clean things up. We need to make room for the next patient." This was all because she was so energized. The head nurse's energy state would be representative of the other nurses' motivation and energy. With how things were, everyone in the proctology department would earn significantly increased income.
Although everyone was really fatigued at the end of each day, they were still really happy. Nobody liked to work in a department that the entire hospital looked down on. People would want face.
Zhang Fan's status was imperceptibly and slowly rising. Before, when most doctors from other departments saw Zhang Fan, the younger doctors would address him as Doctor Zhang, while the older doctors would simply nod. Also, few of the staff in the medical laboratory departments would recognize Zhang Fan.
But now, so many people would address him as Director Zhang. Respect came from power. This saying was absolutely correct! Before, Zhang Fan would always get embarrassed whenever others praised him. Zhang Fan would even explain to the other party that he was unworthy of such praise. Actually, others were simply praising him out of politeness, so Zhang Fan's explanation was going rather overboard. But now, Zhang Fan was getting older and becoming more experienced in dealing with Chinese society.
He would nod when it was necessary, he would speak when it was necessary, and he would stand and chat with someone when it was necessary. Maybe he was maturing! If you didn't mature and understand how Chinese society worked, things would only become harder and more uncomfortable for you since everyone here was a part of Chinese society. Maturing and understanding how Chinese society worked would help everyone save time!
Zhang Fan's parents finally returned from their Beijing vacation. They immediately cooked a meal of barbequed meat the moment that they returned home. They were both starving due to eating mostly only coarse rice over the past week. Zhang Fan's mother was someone who usually could only eat a small bowl of beef noodles, but she was eating three large bowls of nothing but coarse rice over the past few days!
"I almost starved to death!" Zhang Fan's father commented to his relatives. Zhang Fan's uncle had also been preparing to go visit Beijing through the travel agency. Beijing was filled with smog, and locals there looked down on outsiders. However, Chinese people would still have special feelings for Beijing as it was the capital. This was even more so for people of Zhang Fan's parents' generation.
A Chinese person could curse Shanghai or Hong Kong or Taiwan, but no Chinese person would be allowed to curse Beijing. Otherwise, older people would likely start an argument with you. Although the older people had all gone through the same generational events, Beijing's importance had been imprinted on them during their youth.
"It's not that serious, is it? Could it be that you couldn't even eat anything?" Zhang Fan's uncle remarked in astonishment.
"While they did provide us with three meals per day, breakfast was nothing more than porridge with plain buns and pickled vegetables. For lunch, more than 10 of us would be seated at a single table that had only four dishes which were each the size of my hand. How much food do you think those dishes could contain? During the last few days, my wife would eat three large bowls of nothing but rice at each meal. Moreover, it was the coarsest type of rice. You think we starved or not? So, you absolutely mustn't sign up with this travel agency," Zhang Fan's father told him while enjoying a large bite of fatty meat.
Zhang Fan's father then said, "Look, this is a waistband we purchased which cost us more than 3,000 yuan. We used it for only three days so far, but you see, this waistband is already falling apart. They're such a group of scammers. Yesterday, I brought this waistband over to the travel agency. Guess what they told me? They said that the waistband sellers are unaffiliated with their company, so if we want a refund, we would have to go back to Beijing and find them ourselves! Sigh, we really were scammed big time!"
Human nature really wasn't that good. Many elderly people from this neighborhood had gone on the same vacation with the same travel agency already. However, why were there still so many who were getting scammed? One reason was because this travel agency really did have many shills working for them. The other reason was because the scammed were feeling jealous. "Since I've already been scammed, it's not fair that you weren't scammed yet! I won't tell you anything!" They would think in such a manner.
Additionally, most people here in Zhang Fan's parents' neighborhood were already retired. They would have only a meager pension while maybe also working part-time for a little extra money. But now, Zhang Fan's family had even opened up a little store, as well as purchased a new apartment in the central part of town. Others were jealous of their newfound wealth!
Zhang Fan's parents had originally been slightly unwilling to give up on their old neighborhood until now. They finally made the decision to sell their old apartment here after New Year's. That was because it wasn't only their family that got scammed. Almost every single elderly person in this neighborhood had fallen for the exact same scam! The people in this neighborhood were the classical type where the poorer they were, the more they would want to make others even poorer than them!
Still, Zhang Fan's parents didn't mention anything about this to him. They felt that it had to be difficult already for their son to be out all alone in a different province. Not only that, his job was important for saving lives. Thus, Zhang Fan's mother would always only say that she was doing well and eating well and having fun every time that Zhang Fan called her. Basically, nothing at all was wrong with her life according to herself! She would never mention how starving she had been on the Beijing trip. This was simply how his parents were! They were the type who would only report about good news, and never trouble their precious son unless it was really necessary!
Since Shao Hua was currently in Thailand together with Jingshu, Zhang Fan would either go work at another hospital after his work shift or come right back home after work and study. He would split his studying by reading medical textbooks for one hour before switching to studying English for one hour by memorizing vocabulary, reading English medical articles, and learning English grammar.
Zhang Fan would seem to be as unmoving as a statue when he was reading medical textbooks. At most, he would occasionally flip a page as he read the medical textbook and combined the knowledge within with his work experience. He found it quite fun to ponder difficult medical problems.
However, Zhang Fan would seem like a monkey in a zoo when it was his time to study English. He would constantly scratch his head or touch his face in between flipping pages. He would also constantly check the English textbook to see how many pages were still remaining. He found English to be truly difficult. It was common for one word to have many different meanings at different times, which seemed really ridiculous to him. There was also grammar such as past tense or past participle which didn't exist in Chinese. English grammar really gave Zhang Fan such a headache. However, he still had to learn English. No matter if he had to crawl or kneel, the mountain known as English was one he absolutely had to climb. Otherwise, his medical skills would forever be limited. The Chinese medical field simply wasn't as well developed or skilled as foreign medical fields!
Zhang Fan felt a significant amount of pressure from the English he was learning, even though he didn't need to take any tests or use any English during his normal work. Zhang Fan's current level of English would be more than enough for any regular doctor. In fact, his current English level could already be considered outstanding here in the border province.
However, Zhang Fan had become far more ambitious due to receiving his System. He wanted to go see what world-class medical treatment was like. He also wanted to stand at the very peak of the medical world and compete with top-level medical professionals.
Zhang Fan wanted even more to research all sorts of illnesses that were still major problems for humanity. Not only would he have to open up more courses in his System for this, he would also have to absorb more professional medical knowledge. How was he supposed to do this? He would first have to conquer the tremendous mountain known as English. English would be his greatest tool and weapon. How was he supposed to conquer anything without any tools or weapons?
"Zhang Fan, you should take a rest. Look at you, you've been studying for several hours already. I purchased a small melon for you that I just washed. You need to eat more fruits and drink more water. Also, have some chicken soup in a bit. Shao Hua's cousin just brought over a chicken. I broiled it for an entire day with some root of hairy asiabell. It should taste pretty good."
Although Shao Hua wasn't home right now, her parents were really satisfied with how Zhang Fan would immediately come home after work and start studying after he ate dinner. This meant that Zhang Fan was treating this place as his own home as well!


One day, Zhang Fan, a poor medical student, receives a medical system from the future. This turns him into a new shining star in the medical field. Along the way, he must face medical corruption, competition, and infighting from other doctors, and even find time for a love life as he strives for the top of the medical field!

(These will only be explanations about myself and why everything will happen slower. Also why I chose this story. If you just want to read the story you can basically skip this) :)

I'm German and had English since 5th grade, so I'm fairly decent with the English language if I can say so myself. So apart from spelling, punctuation and maybe a grammar mistake here and there it should be readable.

Now something concerning the story. I'm a big Starcraft and Star Wars Fan so I would love to write Stories about those Universes, the only Problem being that they are so vast and complex that I don't want to write Stuff that's wrong and just ends up breaking the Story/Universe-Immersion.
That's why I chose Pokémon. Everybody knows and loves the Universe and there's not many Laws and Aspects you have to look out for. 

Worst Problem for the story will probably be that I'm a student and most of the time don't have much time on my hands. Moreover, I only played Pokemon Games in German, so I will have to google every single Pokemon Name and Attack - making my Time Problem only worse.
This will be my first story and the first one that I wrote since I was a small child so bear with me. :| 
All advice is welcome if you have any good Ideas plot-wise I have no problem implementing them. I have a general idea where I want to good with the story but nothing for the long term. :D

The Novel-cover is temporary until I find something better, draw something better myself or some kind of Cover-Miracle happens.

What I really wish to see at least once, Is an Self/OC insert story that plays out in a time frame of at least a few decades instead of just a few years. What I also find important is for the MC to not always win and maybe even experience huge amounts of loss regardless of preparation and personal power.

I am 19 and been learning French since Kindergarden and I only cant to 12 and I only know 3 words being Bonjour (Hello) Aurevior (Bye) and Niege (Snow) I have even had my cousin tutor me and I still cant get it for the life of me :(

I learned spanish since,... like 9th Grade until 11th grade and only know like 3 sentences. But that's not as long as 14 years so I would agree with you on that, unless he really really wasn't into learning french :D :D :D

A 23 year old Student dies in a motorcycle accident. Not having done anything evil in his short life God lets him choose in what Universe he wants spend his next life. After some thinking he decides the wisest choise would be something harmless like the Pokémon Universe. 

Waking up he has to realize that his new Life won‘t be easy as he wished it would be. 
Now stuck with his new body he has to find a good way to live on his own....


In the morning, Zhang Zian opened his eyes and glanced around the bedroom as usual. The elfins were sleeping. He turned over and had planned to get more sleep. It was early, and dark and cold outside. A strong wind was blowing. 
But after lying for a while, he fully woke up. Something was wrong. After careful thinking, it seemed that Pi was missing.　
He sat up in bed, and searched carefully with the night lamp of Famous. The chair given to Pi as a temporary bed was empty. Pi was gone.
Did it go to the bathroom?　　
Zhang Zian turned his head, but didn't see any light beneath the bathroom door. So it was not in the bathroom. He hit his head. Pi was an imaginative elfin, why would it need a bathroom? He must have been confused after sleeping.　 
Tap, Tap, Tap!　　
A slight keyboard tapping sound came from the living room. Zhang Zian put on a jacket, passed by the sleeping and kicking Famous, walked over quietly, and saw the back of Pi.　　
It sat on the floor in front of the coffee table. The light from the laptop screen drew out its fuzzy shape. The nameless book was next to the laptop.　　
Pi was short. It was not comfortable after using the computer on the couch for a long time, so it crossed its legs and sat on the floor. Luckily, there was a carpet near the coffee table and the floor was not too cold.　　
A new Word document was created on the computer, with lines and lines of numbers. Needless to say, it was good old Pi. Mixed in with the numbers were some meaningless English letters. Maybe it was practicing how to type. 　 
The pince-nez was clipped on its nose, and the light from the screen was reflected on the thin lenses. Looking from one side, the lenses seemed to be without power, as there were no circles of the prescription lenses.　　
Pi was a slow typist. Sometimes it couldn't remember the location of a certain key, and its finger stayed above the keyboard for a long time. Even so, it didn't use two fingers to make the typing easier. In order not to disturb the elfins' sleep, Pi was gentle in every movement on purpose.　　


After hearing Zhang Zian's footsteps, it turned its head and grinned at him silently.　　
Zhang Zian pointed at the desk, then picked up the laptop and put it on the desk. He then adjusted the chair to the maximum height, and added a cushion. He asked Pi to sit in the swivel chair, then took another chair next to it for himself.　
The height was perfect. Pi was sitting in it comfortably. It pointed at the screen to show something to Zhang Zian. It typed in English: "I want to learn Chinese."　　
This line of English words were typed among a string of numbers. Yet compared to the time at the library, the numbers were much fewer. Although it was still awkward to read, it was less tiresome for the eyes.　　
Learning Chinese?　　
Zhang Zian stopped for a moment, extended his arms, and replied by typing in English: "Why?"　　
Pi clearly wanted to learn to type in Chinese.  It was much harder than speaking and reading Chinese. For a westerner, switching from an alphabetical Indo-European language to a pictograph Sino-Tibetan language was extremely difficult to do.　 
Pi typed on the screen: "Because Chinese is everywhere."　　
It pointed to the functional buttons in Word, then at the variety of books on the desk. Both the words on the buttons and on the book ridges were Chinese, with very few in English.　　
If Pi wanted to live a long time in the pet shop, or in China, it would be very difficult and inconvenient if it didn't know Chinese at all.　　
Zhang Zian nodded and typed: "I get it. How do you plan to learn? Can you learn from your book?"　　
Pi shook its head and typed: "There is no Chinese in the book."　
Zhang Zian thought the book contained everything in the world. He was surprised to find out about this.　
Pi noticed Zhang Zian's confusion, then typed: "The book is full of knowledge."　
All right. He finally knew something about this book. It was a book about life, universe and everything. But maybe it was written in English without any Chinese. So Pi couldn't use it as a textbook for Chinese. 

Zhang Zian thought about it and typed: "You don't know Chinese, but you can understand me talking?"　　
Pi responded: "I know Pinyin. I can hear."　
What the heck? The book had Pinyin but no Chinese characters?　　
Zhang Zian encouraged it: "If you know Pinyin, it will be fast to learn Chinese. I can help you."　　
Pi cheered up and typed: "Thank you. The book taught about how to learn Chinese fast."　　
Next, Zhang Zian found a lot of free Chinese lessons online, and asked Pi to study with the videos.　
Pi was very focused when studying. It could stare at the screen and sit in front of the computer for hours, while referring to the nameless book with the videos. Zhang Zian had to remind it to get up and move around. Only then it would stand up.　 
After the pet shop business, Zhang Zian played hide-and-seek with Galaxy, finished the daily training with Zhan Tian and Famous in the green field, and spent most of the remaining time with Pi, offering help. For instance, choosing an easy-to-use Chinese input software for it was how he helped. 　 
Maybe because it knew Pinyin already, or the learning methods in the nameless book were very effective, or the Chinese input software was intelligent, that a sentence could be accurately entered by typing the first letter of each word. Or maybe it was because Pi was an elfin born of Strength of Faith. It was impossible to predict it with common sense. Anyway, Pi was learning Chinese extremely fast and progressing at a miraculous speed. It was able to type some simple Chinese sentences within a day. By the second day, it was able to express itself in Chinese, although there were numbers and wrong characters mixed in the sentences, and some grammatical errors that would make people laugh. But it was making solid progress. 
The grammatical issues were hard to solve, as the Chinese grammar was too complicated. When the same word was placed in different places within a sentence, the meaning of the entire sentence could be completely different. Also, identical sentences could have completely different meanings depending on the context. 　 
Zhang Zian found some old newspapers for Pi and asked it to type out the news from them. The newspaper wording was very formal, clear and coherent. After mastering the written language, it would not be too hard to study the spoken language then.　　

Pi was tireless once it started studying. It could not leave the pet shop, and Zhang Zian was the only person it had contact with. Unfortunately, Zhang Zian often needed to tend to the customers during the day, and could not stay around it all the time.　　
When learning a language, the most important thing was to immerse oneself in the language through the daily conversations and interactions. Unlike the other elfins, Pi could not speak, and nobody else was able to communicate with it except Zhang Zian. Pi's progress in learning Chinese soon hit a bottleneck. For the same reason, Pi felt lonely, and often appeared low-spirited.　 
Zhang Zian noticed the same. But he couldn't duplicate himself. He had to handle the customers as well the elfins, which didn't leave him much time with Pi.　
He wanted to find a way to make Pi less lonely.

Kyosei escorted the father and daughter duo to the car. Its quite a bit hard to do so due to the undead wandering. They needed to hide for a while before Kyosei can do his work. Pastor Shin seems to be amazed on how capable Kyosei is in terminating the dead that seems to be really hard to deal with.

"You seem to be really good at this," Pastor Shin praised Kyosei.

"It's nothing to be proud of. I am just doing this to survive," Kyosei said.

They quickly arrived at the area where the SUV is located. The car is still on the same spot and not surrounded by the dead.

"Let's go," Kyosei nodded and let the two follow.

The three safely arrived on the car without incident. Kyosei made the two comfortable and since Kyosei managed to gain a lot of loot for the day, it is time to return and have some rest.

The two slept in the backseat. It seems that they are too tired due to the sleepless nights they have these past two days and nights. Kyosei didn't bother to wake them up. Its really hard to have no sleep especially those people who are not used on having no sleep at all.

Kyosei drives the streets and from time to time, he can spot a few survivors scavenging around the buildings and as the car passes by, they will sometimes hide or just observe from the safety. In this world where trust is a very valuable currency, people are cautious to make a group with random people.

Kyosei did not bother to pay attention to them. The main thing he needs to think is how to last for the long term. Night Rage is proven to always occur at night and they spawn mutated everytime. However, due to the discovery of the weakness that the Night Rage possess, this is a big breakthrough. Having a rain at night is very necessary now to avoid the wrath of Night Rage. The only downside of this weakness is the probability of rain at night. Chie was still studying why the dead at Night Rage disappears at night.

While deep in thought, the windshield got some raindrop and suddenly, a downpour occurred.

"The weather seems to be really unpredictable now," Kyosei groaned.

Kyosei looked outside. The amount of undead on the streets seems to be not decreasing despite the rain which made Kyosei confused.

"What is going on? I thought the rain makes the dead go away but for some reason, they are still here!" Kyosei's eyes blinked a few times to observe the outside and what he have seen earlier did not change.

"... I need Chie for this..." Kyosei stepped on the gas and speeds through the area.

Day 3: 12:27 P.M
Osaka Streets: Kyosei's base

The SUV arrived the front gate and Souichi and Nejima, both wearing raincoats opened the gate. This time, Pastor Shin and Yumi are both awake.

"Did we arrive?" Pastor Shin asked as he looked at the place.

"Yeah, let's go out now. We are safe here," Kyosei said and opens the door of the SUV and goes out together with Pastor Shin and Yumi. Laika approaches them and sensing the new faces, she smells them first before approaching to Kyosei to get a petting.

Pastor Shin look at the mansion. It can be said that it was an exquisite area to build a base in. Moreover, it was surrounded by walls and the gate was reinforced by metal. He also look at the members of Kyosei's team. He was amazed to see most are teenagers instead of adults and there are only three people he can consider as adults though they are also in their prime.

Nanami immediately approached Pastor Shin and Yumi and extended her hands to receive the backpack that contains their belongings.

"I'm Nanami, I am the hacker of their group and the person who watches the outside area for protection of whoever lingers near our base. Welcome to our base,"Nanami smiled.

"Likewise," Pastor Shin said and declined Nanami's gesture to get the bag.

"You can rest inside the house, Miyuki and Cindy will escort you to your rooms," Nanami said before she bowed and moves towards Kyosei.

"Kyosei, we managed to establish contact with American survivors and Chinese survivors. They seem to know more of the outbreak and I am waiting for you to get the info.

Kyosei scratches his head. For the sake of speaking, he has no ability to do a godly and persuasive speech. What can he do to gain info if his ability to speak freely is too limited? Seems like Nanami sensed his tensed up expression and she tapped his shoulders.

"You are the person who never fear anybody, show your fierceness this time, idiot," Nanami grinned.

Kyosei frowned and flicks away Nanami's hand off of him and proceeded to go inside to deliver the medicine and to also meet these contacts that Nanami mentioned. After handing out the medicines to Chie, Nanami led Kyosei to the living room where the laptop is resting in the table. In the laptop, there seems to be a few people using the webcams to connect to others.

"Hey, Nanami, your back! We just discussed what you just said to be the Night Rage and it coincides with the event  that usually happens at night for us," A Chinese man who speaks fluently in english said.

"Yeah, looks like Night Rage is much better to say than Black Night. I guess let's call it that then," an american who looks like  he have not seen the sunlight for ages said.

Kyosei looked at Nanami and confusedly asked.

"You speak English?" Kyosei looks really confused since he have not heard Nanami speak that much except for some simple verses like Hello and Good Morning.

"Yeah, I practiced this past days to improve communicating with Steven and Nathalie. Only Cindy and you can speak fluently with them and I also need to improve my English grammar if I want to make conversation with people all around the world.

Kyosei looked at the screen. These guys are hit by the apocalypse but they managed to survive. The outbreak might be serious enough and might be making the end of human history already.

Labeled as a delinquent and bad influence, high school student Kyosei Ichinose choose to stay out of the people around him, indulge himself to his headphones, pick fights against other people and stay alone. 

He was later famous for being a dangerous fellow that even his fellow students and his teachers feared him.

One day, everything is normal until the world is now in turmoil after the appearance of a mysterious disease that turns humans into mindless cannibals, infecting humans all around the country in an alarming state.

After receiving a distressed message from his former friend, he reluctantly returned only to find the school overrun by the dead. Armed with his house keys, a revolver and a duffel bag containing a few items to aid the rescue, he returned to the school without knowing why he still need to rescue a former friend.

Some argue that various works by authors that do not meet the requirement of fine grammar and spelling are rubbish. Here, each person has his own opinion, and let him stick to it and impose his opinion on others as the ultimate truth, it speaks only of ignorance of life. It is diverse.

Is the work of authors with poor grammar garbage? In my opinion, no. Each author tells his story, passed through his worldview, attitude, understanding of life, his experience and thoughts about the world. It's always interesting for me to read this personally.

I'm a bibliophile, I read a lot of classic works of art, Tomass and Gernih Mana, Feuchtwanger, Mark Twain, Stvenson, Romain Roland, Galsworthy, Tolstoy and all his volumes and there are about 19 of them! I didn't read Dostoevsky, I didn't like him. But Azek Azimov, Ursuda Le Guin, Tolkien, Kipling, Conandoyle, Louis Besenar and others I read with pleasure. Li Bo, the poetry is gorgeous. Novels of feudal and late feudal China, Japan, Korea. Novels and novels by Chinese prose writers of the early 20s and 80-90s of the 20th century.

I write in the genre - a documentary historical fiction, there are many interesting facts about the Silk Road with which I wanted to share. If I were waiting for the moment when I could write well in terms of English grammar ... I would not be able to share it now ... maybe in a couple of years ... and still I would not be able to write like this they write - people from English-speaking countries.
