The clearing was large, and scattered around it were giant rocks that formed small hills.

This place reminded me of a hidden garden that you'd find in fairy tales, it was tranquil and calming to be here, and its naturally beautiful landscape was breathtaking.

But that was the least of my concern as all around the clearing was the wolf pack.

The Wolves were scattered in small groups, some were dragging animal bodies back into the clearing from the other side, this must have been a hunting party gathering food.

There were wolf pups everywhere, running around and chasing each other, with there mothers looking over them from the large rock hills.

And at the center of the clearing, was what I assumed to be the alpha male Wolf.

He was large and covered in thick grey fluffy hide, his eyes were yellow and held a large sense of intelligence in them, an he was covered in scars, probably from all the fights it must of took to become the alpha.

Ok got to strategies.

What do I know about Wolfs?

 Wolves can sprint from 36-38 miles for short distances.

In the wild, wolves can live up to 13 years and up to 16 years in captivity

The main threat to wolf survival is habitat loss due to destruction, development, and encroachment of humans. 

They are also threatened due to persecution by humans.

Wolf pups are born in the Spring and they live with their mother in the den until they are about 3 weeks old.

All wolves in a pack help raise and take care of the pups.

Wolf weights vary. They can weigh from 40 to 175 pounds.

Wolves howl to communicate. if alone, a wolf may howl to attract the attention of his pack.

Packs howl together to send territorial messages from one pack to another.

Wolves are the largest members of the dog family.

Wolves can roam large and long distances, sometimes up to 12 miles (20 kilometers) in a single day.

Wolves prefer to eat large animals like deer, elk, and moose. One wolf can eat 20 pounds (9 kilograms) of meat at a single sitting.

Wolves live in family groups called packs made up of a male parent, a female parent and usually some of their pups over the previous years.

The pack leaders are the alpha male and female.

All this was from a Social Structure study I did in college, and if all this applies to these wolves then that's good.

But it also means that most of this information will be useless to me because it's not about there Biology.

And because I hand bothered to look at there biology when studying them for the Presentation, I don't really have any choice other to wing it...

Right under the largest tree on the whole island, Jay is training his physical strength. 

"308… 309… 310. Ahhh hah hah hah. I can't believe that Gramps could do so many and with a 600 pound rock. Handstand push ups are the hardest." Jay said to himself panting and lay on his back.

As the sun sets Jay finishes his work out. It has been a total of 3 day since he left for the woods to train. Every single day Jay has been gone, he has worked his ass off. Trying to go above his limits. 

"I still don't know what Gramps meant by "Move it". It's so confusing. It's even worse because I heard Emma scream yesterday that she did it." Jay said to a bunny that happened to stop by and look at the sunset with Jay. 

"Move it, move it move it. I like to move it move it? Wait, does he want me to dance? Ha ha lol he wouldn't do that now, would he?" Jay said to the bunny that was still there. 

"Hey little guy, want to be my friend? I have treats." Jay said to the bunny as he pulled some carrots out his backpack. "See, told ya that I have some good treats. Do you want one?" Jay said as he gave the bunny the carrot. 

"It's good that someone here likes carrots. I hate them but Emma always packs them and tells me to eat them. I don't ever want to waste them so I always eat them, and I don't want the shit beaten out of me by gramps for not accepting the fact that she is only looking out for me." The bunny just stares at Jay as he talks to it. 

The bunny that only looks like it was born only a week or two ago hops over to Jay. Jay looked at the bunny and watched her hop over to him.The bunny hopped on Jay's lap and lay down as if she was going to sleep. "Dang girl, the sun just went down and you're already about to hit the hay. I can't blame you, it's been a long day for me too." Jay sits there and just rubs the fur of the bunny as he stares at the stars and moon. 
 
Jay lays back and moves the bunny to his chess. "I'm going to figure out what he meant tomorrow for sure." Jay said as he closed his eyes and almost instantly fell asleep. 

The next morning

Jay opened his eyes to find the sun that was about to raise. "What? Oh, it is morning already. I need to get ready for training. Hey little friend, I have to start training so get up." The bunny wakes up and makes the cutest yawn in all of history. Jay smiles and goes to his backpack and grabs a carrot out. "Here you go. This is all you get, a large carrot that is half your size." Jay puts his backpack back on and starts to walk where he always trains at. The bunny noticed that Jay was walking away and hurried behind.

Jay looks back at the bunny that is now following him. "Oh, you want to come as well. I don't mind if you want to come and watch but I don't want you to get hurt. So stay out of the way." Jay told the bunny as he was squatting down to get closer to it. Jay starts to walk to the other side to the largest tree. Jay went to the otherside of the tree last night to watch the sunset.

"Hey, should I name you?" Jay and the bunny made eye contact as they walked forward. The bunny made the cutest squeak that Jay has ever heard. "I guess that is a yes. You're a girl right? Your fur is a lightish brown color. You're also a good girl, like an angel. Oh, what about Serafina? It means Angel, so I think it will fit well with you." The bunny with the new name Serafina, squeaks in joy.

"I see you like that name. I'm about to start my training so can you wait right here for me." Jay asked Serafina, as he put down his backpack. Jay walked no more than 3 meter away and began his training.

"COMBUSTION!!!" Jay yelled to start his magic form.

Jay in his fiery form looks at his body. "I think Gramp wants me to do something with this. Last time I showed him he was extremely impressed. He didn't even think that I made it up myself." Jay said to himself, which is a bad habit of his. 

"Hmmmmmmmmmmm." Jay hums as he tries to think of ideas of how he can learn what gramps meant. At that moment Jay looks over at Serafina. Serafina was eating the carrot that Jay gave her. Jay notices that the part where she was biting is smaller than the part she hasn't bit. He looked back at his arm. He almost instantly came to the concussion. 

Some parts of his form are less covered than others. "What if I move my form around? It might make some parts of my body stronger. But then I have less coverage in other areas." Jay said to himself.

A wolf that looks like it hasn't eat in days appears. The first this it saw was a strong aura coming off of Serafina. Jay got lost in thought and almost failed to notice the wolf that started to chase Serafina. 

"Squeak squeak." Serafina squeaked in fear and started to run around not trying to become breakfast. Jay notices that Serafina is about to get eaten and quickly dash over to her. 

"That is a Large Silver Wolf. Why is it going after Serafina? It only goes after large animals with strong auras. I don't think Serafina could have that much strength." Jay said out loud as he chased the wolf down.

Jays finally close enough to strike the wolf. The wolfs breed is ranked 5th on the island. Jay keeps a record of everything to go near and not go near. Jay smack the side of the wolf. It barely hurt the wolf. They both come to a stop with Jay ending in front of the silver wolf. 

"Hay, sharp tooth why are you going against such a small animal?" Jay said, looking the wolf dead in his eyes. "Whatever. I get to test my new move."

Jay closed his eyes and tilted his head down. "Huh…  Huha… " Jay took a deep breath. At the same time the wolf started to get tired of waiting. The wolf rushed at Jay. Jay opened his eyes and moved all of his fire to his fist. "Yaaaaaaa, uppercut." Jay screamed out as he struck the wolf and sent him flying. 

"Yeah you piece of trash. Know your place." Jay screamed with his fist in the air.

"Squeak squeak." Serafina runs to her savor. Jay looks down and picks up Serafina.

"I'm sooooo glad that you're ok. I don't know if I could live without you." Jay said, rubbing his face against Serafina's face. 

"Oh yeah I totally forgot. Hay Serafina, want to join my clan?" Jay says, looking Serafina in the eyes. Serafina titles her head in confusion. 

"I'm going to be The Potentate some day and I need people that I can trust. Do you want to be one of them?" Jay said with a smile one his face.

Serafina looks at him for a second. "Squeak squeak." Serafina and Jay looked at each other. "I guess I'll take that a "Sure why not."" Jay looked happy but confused at the same time. "Wait, if you are so young and a wild rabbit how can you understand me."

Jay and Serafina locked eyes and stared at each other for about 3 minutes. Serafina looked away and shrugged her shoulders. Jay facial expressions went from "I don't understand" to "Now that is a lie."

"Anyways thanks for the help, if it wasn't for you, I don't think that I would have been able to find out what gramps mean." Jays said putting her on the ground. 

"Lets go to my place. Gramps told me that he would teach me some things."  Jay started to walk away and Serafina followed. As the sun continued to raise so did everyone else, even the evil of this world.

A king should protect his people. A king should fight with his men. A king should be strong.

These are the thoughts of Jay Navorro. After witnessing his mothers death by the Potentate(King of his county) he started to realize what was going on. How weak and corrupted they were. Now he is off training to become the best and strongest Potentate there was ever was.

Cheng Yuanjun woke up seeing that the bed was empty with just her. 'He probably went to find more clues.' Cheng Yuanjun thought and got up changing into her casual robes. Keeping her hair pin on, she really liked how it had its glowing green look. 

Getting out of the room, she was already familiar with the whole town. Going out, she wanted to try and find any hints or leads since her didn't want to keep hanging around doing nothing. Traveling around, she looked to people but she couldn't find anything. 

Shifting, she looked around and climbed the houses and roofs. Slowly walking on the roof, she kept herself hidden while looking around and listening for any conversations related. 

"Master, the beast men that were supposed to be on their way here were found dead." Cheng Yuanjun paused listening in closely. 

"Dead? Have you found what killed them?" She didn't know the voice but she figured it was their master's voice. 

"It looked to be about another wolf that had killed them. It's not easy to tell who killed them, but it was obvious that it was likely a General of the Wolf tribe." 

"Hm, we cannot stay still. We have to hurry up and start taking as much as we can. This town is the largest trade market. Let's hurry before we are caught." The master stopped as he was covered all over with a cloak with his face covered by a mask. 

Cheng Yuanjun didn't know what was going on, but she knew this wasn't good. She started running off the roof when she felt something hit her. She tumbled nearly falling down and hitting the water when she was barely holding on. "Well, I didn't think that I would meet the half-breed here." 

Cheng Yuanjun looked up to see the beast man. He clearly had wolf ears with his common black eyes. Cheng Yuanjun knew that she couldn't die. 'This is going to be a risk.' Cheng Yuanjun growled letting go of the edge of the roof. Falling down, she felt her body impact the hard wood below then to the water. Her blood leaked out of her body flowing in the water having the beast men think that she could've possibly died. 

Getting out of the water, she limped trying to get out of the mess. Her blood was still leaking out which she had to hurry. Shifting back into her human form, she covered her wounds in some powder to avoid being traced by scent. Barely able to hold on, she felt her vision getting blurry. Seeing only a small young girl before she fainted.

Fu Bingwen sighed feeling frustrated that he would keep seeing Long Xiuying at every turn. He didn't want to keep meeting her when they had no connection. He only saw her as a little sister. She was already bought by another man who payed a lot for her. 

"Prince Jing, do you really not want to help me?" Long Xiuying looked to Fu Bingwen who she always loved. 

"No, you already have a stable life. I already have someone." Fu Bingwen already knew that women would scheme evilly behind men's back. He didn't want to get involved and be seen that he was eloping with a married woman. 

"So you really don't want to help me leave. You rather let me suffer under my husbands hands." Long Xiuying said looking to Fu Bingwen with a pleading gaze. 

"I don't-" 

"Brother Jing!? Brother Jing?!" Hearing Fu Ling and Fu Mengyao, they had already reached him seeing Long Xiuying. 

"Brother Jing this isn't time to mess around. This is a serious matter right now!" Fu Ling looked to Fu Bingwen who stood confused about what he was rambling about. 

"What's the serious matter?" Fu Bingwen didn't understand what was going on. 

"Physician Qin found Miss Cheng's blood in the water." Fu Mengyao whispered for Fu Bingwen to listen then to let Long Xiuying hear it. 

Fu Bingwen heard it and started running, he went ahead even ignoring Long Xiuying who called out to him. "Prince Jing! Prince Jing!" She called his name, but he ignored her with no care. 

"You should stop trying to get with our brother. He isn't one who is foolish. Once he has found that one special someone then he would not care about any other." Fu Mengyao advised Long Xiuying since he didn't want Fu Bingwen to keep meeting this woman. 

Both Fu Ling and Fu Mengyao left while Long Xiuying stood there with her two maids right behind her just waiting. "Ahhh!!!! Why?! Why can't he love me?!" Long Xiuying has returned back to her home in her well built room with fine art and craft. 

She tossed every vase and cups down hitting the floor knowing that she could never obtain Fu Bingwen's attention. Her hatred for Cheng Yuanjun grew more with every thought that came up. "Anyone there?!" She called out seeing her two maids come in. 

"Yes, Miss Cao." The maids entered inside to her room filled with nothing, but broken pieces of glass and shards. 

"Make sure that the half-breed is dead!" Long Xiuying angrily looked to them both. 

"Don't worry. My men are looking." Entering inside, both maids bowed keeping their heads down while Long Xiuying looked to her husband. 

"What brings you here?" Long Xiuying looked to him since she highly disliked her husband. 

"Leave me and my wife." He commands with the maids all leaving. Removing his hood, his face was revealed with a larger scar across his face. "Is that anyway to treat your husband?" He went over grabbing her wrist and looking at her eyes. 

Long Xiuying feared him, but she hated him at the same time. "Who said I wanted to be here." She said, but he had dragged her pinning her down onto their bed. 

"Remember that I was the one who taught you everything and bought you. You cannot escape from me." He licked her neck then nibbled onto her. Long Xiuying looked down onto the bed sheet below pushing her lips together feeling disgusted every time he forced her. "Don't think that I will let you go." 

"Don't think that I will enjoy whatever you do, Cao Shan." Long Xiuying angrily said knowing what was going to happen to her.

Not once did Aeron think that their supposedly normal date will turn out to be hunting of a wolf. 

And it's their first date.

How memorable.

Aeron was disappointed, he had planned everything for their first date but they are not even in the half of the list when it went down the drain. 

"Are you a sloth!? Faster! We have to catch the wolf before those wicked people!" Aisha was getting angry at Aeron's "slow" running so she pulls his hand and challenge the speed of light.

Aeron's mouth twitched, he's slow? She's just fast! The people they ran passed even think that they are ghosts because they can't even glimpse a piece of their clothing.

"Wait! Stop for a minute." Aeron grabbed a pole when they ran passed it, both of them stop and because Aisha was holding Aeron's hand, when he stopped she was slammed to his rock hard chest.

"What!?" Aisha huffed in annoyance. She have to find the wolf or else if those people catch it again, the wolf will suffer a beating again, moreover, it is injured!

"First of all, we need to determine where the wolf will most likely to hide. In that way, we can save a lot of time."

Aisha froze for a moment and cursed herself for being too stupid. Because the wolf reminds her of Misty, she became too worried for its safety and didn't even think where that wolf could might be.

"According to that man, the wolf is injured." Aisha had crossed her arms under her breasts, pushing her breasts up and making it even bigger and firm. "Since it is injured, it is most likely to hide, and the wolf's instinct will tell him to hide where he feels safe and familiar the most. Hmm... forest? Is there a forest-like place here?" Aisha looks up at Aeron but found that he was in a daze. "Aeron!"

Aeron blinks before shifting his gaze from Aisha's breasts to her eyes. "What?" Why did she snapped at him?

"Are you even listening!?" Aisha puffed her cheeks and glares at him. "I asked if there is a forest here?"

"Uhm," Aeron wasn't too sure but he remember that someone gives him fliers so he took it from his pocket and unfolds it. "There is one, but it is located at the west and we're in the east so it may take quite awhi---"

Aisha didn't waste any more time and run towards the west. Aeron sigh in his heart before following her. Looks like he needs to punish this girl so that she will knows that it isn't right when she ignores him.

They arrived after a full ten minutes, both are physically strong and didn't get easily tired even through all that running.

"This..." Aisha frowns, behind the criss crossed metal bars was a realistically animal jungle, it was the Tiger Safari where you can ride a vehicle and feed the tigers in close up.

Aeron look up at the metal bars. Although it is high, it isn't impossible for an animal to climb through it but the wolf is injured, it will be hard for him to climb up.

"Look." Aisha pointed at the claw marks in the bars. It is faint but the claws is visible. "The wolf is here."

"Looks like this isn't ordinary wolf." Aeron mutters.

Aisha hums, she was holding a huge padlock in the entrance door. She cock her head, cracking her bones, as she raised her foot, she put all her weight into her other foot, spin a little, and kick the entrance door. The door breaks because of the impact of her kick.

Aeron whistles and smirk at Aisha. They entered and wonder around the jungle. It wasn't long before they heard a gunshot and a piercing howl.

"Over there!" Aisha shouted and run towards the direction of the howl. When they got into the place, they saw a barely breathing wolf and a dozen of men, one of them are armed with guns.

The one who seems to be the leader of the group has his gun aimed at the poor wolf. His eyes dark and determined to kill the wolf.

"Stop, you fvcking bàstard!" Aisha bellowed, she quickly went in front of the man, blocking the wolf, and kick the man's hand.

"Argh!" The man groaned in pain, he let go of his gun and his wrist is dislocated but Aisha wasn't done yet, shifting her foot to another, she also kicked his male specimen. "Fvcking bitch!" The man cries, he lose his balance and fell to the dirty ground, and felt an unbearable pain.

One thing is for sure, this man can no longer have a children.

"Boss!" The remaining men shouted in surprise. It turns out that the man who lose his future is the owner of the zoo.

"Who in the hell are you!?" One of them shouted at Aisha.

"Me? I'm the courier who will deliver your demise!" Aisha was mad and step on the chest of the man. "You're the owner of a zoo who takes care of the animals and yet you dare to kill one!?"

The man wails as he cough a mouthful of blood. Dozen of his ribs are now broken and if Aisha still continues, the man will die.

The remaining men tries to attack Aisha altogether but Aeron knocked them all out by hitting their most vital parts.

The wolf whimpers as he tries to stand in his fours, he was confused. They are human but they saved him from those cruel humans. 

Aisha heard the wolf whimpers, leave the almost dead man, and walks towards the wolf but the wolf snarls at her, as if daring her to come any closer to him. He was injured by humans, clearly he didn't trust them even though they had saved him.

Aeron saw the wolf preparing to attack Aisha. Probably because of too much blood loss, the wolf's mind is hazy and only thinks about killing them and escape this place.

"Aisha, don't come any closer." Aeron commanded in a stern tone. If this wolf harm her, he won't hesitate to kill it even if Aisha will hate him for that.

But Aisha ignores him. She knows that the wolf won't hurt her. He's just wary because he is injured. 

"I won't hurt you." Aisha said, knowing that the wolf understand her. "You're injured and you need to be cured. We're not bad people." While she is talking, she's taking a small steps towards the wolf but the wolf notice it and let out a roar of warning.

It was still ferocious even if he is heavily injured, Aeron frowns, this wolf clearly has a strong breed.

Having used to Misty's roar, the wolf's roar didn't effect her too much. Aisha still walks towards the wolf, this time, she took large steps. The wolf growls at her when she stops three steps away from him.

The wolf was about the same height as her, Aisha speculated that it must be a Canis Lupus Occidentalis[1]. Aisha stare at the wolf's gold eyes.

"I am not going to hurt you."

The wolf made a sound, it was like the wolf is snickering at her. As if he will believe to her cràp, you humans only dares to hunt and kill animals to the point of extinction for their own benifits!

While Aisha is pursuading the wolf, Aeron was sulking five steps away from her. Why does she always ignores him? Is he a someone who is not important to her? Does she cares for the wolf more than her cares for him? Aeron never felt insecure and insulted in his whole life before.

"Come on---" Aisha stopped in mid-sentence when she sense a movement behind her.

She turns around and saw the bloodied man holding the gun. Her first intinct is to hug the wolf so that the bullet won't hit it. Obviously, Aeron also notice the man and run towards him, he step on the hand of the man but the action only makes the man pulls the trigger but because Aeron step on his hand, the direction of the gun was changed and when the man pulls the trigger, the bullet hit Aisha's injured shoulder.

Aeron saw it and his eyes darken, he clenched his fists and rain punches to the man's face. Each punch feels like a heavy block falling into the man's face, soon enough, the man's skull breaks and damage his brain.

"Aeron, stop." Aisha sqautted down and held Aeron's hands in a tight grip, she had to use all her strength to stop his hands, she was much faster than him but Aeron was still stronger than her. "He's already dead, let's go out now or else the authorities will come." 

Aisha had no problems facing the authorities but the wolf is injured and is losing too much blood. And if the authorities saw him, they won't let it go and make him suffer just like what this man did.

Aeron's dark gaze turns towards Aisha's shoulder. She had already remove the bullet but the wound still needs to be cleaned or it will become an infection. Her once white shirt turns red with blood.

Soon enough, Aeron's dark gaze turn to hurt and regret, he pulls Aisha up and enclosed her into a gentle hug, careful to not press her wound. He was just there but he let her be injured. What kind of man who will let their loved ones hurt in their presence!? Useless!

"I'm sorry." He whispers, his tone laced with remorse and Aisha couldn't help but to roll her eyes at him.

"It's not lethal, don't overreact. We need to get out of here."

Aeron nodded, he let go of Aisha and make sure that no traces of both Aisha and him remains. As for the unconscious men, because of the scent of the blood, it will attract the tigers and eat them if the authorities don't come now. Even if the tigers are trained, they are still a carnivorous predatory animals.

Once Aeron was done, Aisha turns toward the wolf and smile. "You coming with us?"

I will return the pain my famiglia had been put through a hundred times more painful, Aisha vowed in her heart.

Aisha felt his hands circling her small waist and through the backless fitted black dress she wore, she can feel the muscular body of the man as she shudders at the warmth of his breath above her ear, "Don't worry, we will give them the revenge they deserve. You just have to wait patiently for the right time." 

Aisha almost gasp when he bit her earlobe and spoke in a cold, sinister manner, "After all, revenge is a dish best served cold."


Preparations began immediately. Madayah was in charge of readying food and water. Everyone would carry a backpack. Zenya needed to speak with Nicolas privately, so he followed her through more rambling turns. They stopped in a large room holding gym equipment.
She turned to face him. "I thought you might want to shift before we start out tomorrow."
"Thank you. It's been months."
"I'll give you privacy."
She turned to walk away, but his chiding words stopped her.
"You think I need privacy to be wolf?"
"Well, no, I just thought you might not want a cat around."
"I think it's something I need to adjust to because tomorrow it's going to be thrown in my face whether I want it or not."
"Fine then, shift."
He was already removing his clothing. She stood watching.
Everywhere on his body that hadn't been healed by a vampire after being tortured held a scar. He relished each one because they reminded him of what he'd lost. Not the marring of his body, but the maiming of his soul. He turned to lay his clothing on a nearby table and heard her soft gasp. He knew his back held the most damage, and now that he was clean, it stood out. He looked over his shoulder, but her face showed no expression.
The shift flowed naturally through his body, and in an instant, his wolf form took up the space where his human body stood a split second before.
It felt wonderful to stretch his canine muscles.
A gray wolf replaced the man, nothing exciting, but big. He was the largest beastkind wolf in the United States.
He slowly walked around the gym, taking in the odors. Someone cleaned the room recently, but he still smelled cat. Sadly, he was getting used to the obnoxious odor. After ten minutes inspecting his surroundings, he moved closer to Zenya. She stood her ground and allowed his nose to travel down her leg and then back up. His snout heading to her crotch was natural, but she batted his nose away anyway. He laughed inside his head, almost wishing he could communicate with her.
Would he ever communicate silently with another beastkind again? It was a gift passed from a vampire to his or her clan. Nicolas no longer had a clan, and with Franklin's death, the gift of telepathic communication was gone. Nicolas stepped back on four legs and then shifted to man.
"What's wrong?" Her steady voice asked.
"I can't converse in my wolf form."
"I'm sorry. Amy's able to communicate with all beastkind, but it was months before I could link with Marcus and his entire clan."
Zenya's eyes looked everywhere but at his incredible body. He almost smiled knowing he affected her. He didn't miss a beat over the revelation about Amy communicating with more than one breed of beastkind, different vampires had different gifts. Zenya communicating with the wolves was different and opened the possibility of different beastkind sharing telepathic speech. "You are able to communicate with wolves?"
"Yes."
"Interesting. I guess we don't know enough about cats and wolves to understand our differences, much less the similarities."
"Why do you think that is?"
"That's a very simple answer."
"Well?"
"Dogs don't like cats."
She grinned and looked at him. "It's as easy as that?"
"Yep. It's in our genes."
"You know that's ridiculous."
"Not to a dog."
"I'm totally understanding why cats don't like dogs."
"And why is that?"
"Because you're idiots."
The full grin changed the hard lines of his face, but his lips tightened and he switched subjects. "Are you up for a workout?"
"Sure, I could use one."
He put his pants on and they worked out for an hour. Although he craved the exercise, he knew not to overdo it. Admiring the sensuous flow of her muscles as she lifted weights was nearly impossible. He could almost put aside her smell and consider the beautiful woman she was. Almost. It was impossible to let go of his hatred of cats even if he knew she wasn't his enemy.
Zenya sat down the hand weights and looked at Nicolas. "How about a dip in the pool?"
"Sounds good, and then I need to eat again."
"You know we should wait another day before leaving."
"Do you really think that it's safe?"
"No, but you need to rest."
"I'll rest when I'm dead."
"Then we leave."
The two of them walked through the twisting turns of the compound and made their way to the hot springs. Sweat cast a damp sheen over their bodies from the workout and the misty steam from the hot springs added to it. Zenya removed her pants and turned at the noise close behind her.
They stood looking at each other; dark eyes staring deeply into green. His arm came forward and his hand caressed her shoulder, tightened, and then pulled her close. Everything in his mind was telling him not to do it but his body had a will of its own. When she was close enough, he took her lips with fierce hunger. They didn't close their eyes, both wary of the other, until finally she pulled away.
"Will any female body do?"
His breathing slowed. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"You're a dog, I'm a cat."
"A simple no will work."
"No."
He turned without another word and removed his pants, then got into the pool. He couldn't believe he kissed her. What the hell was wrong with him?
"Get in. I won't bite," he snapped.
She kept the sports bra and underwear on and entered the water. They didn't speak, each lost in their own thoughts. A few minutes later Talya entered the room.
"Madayah is planning a big dinner for tonight and wants everyone there. Vorlyk told me we're leaving tomorrow." She looked between the two of them curiously, and her excitement over their coming departure was evident.
"It'll be dangerous, Talya," Zenya said.
Talya whirled around, her hair whipping over her shoulder, and gave a parting comment, "That's what I'm hoping."
"What's her story?" Nicolas asked when Talya was out of hearing.
"She was passed around Raykon's men for years and then Vorlyk was able to bargain for her."
"But she's still a child." The horror in his voice was plain.
"Raykon doesn't care. He's sadistic and can't take women without torturing them."
"And you know this how?" To his surprise, Nicolas felt his anger boil.
She looked him squarely in the eye. "I just know."
She stood to get out of the pool, but he grabbed her arm to stop her. "Did he hurt you?"
"All he does is hurt. I don't want to talk about it. Ever."
He let go but remained angry. His imagination was probably making it worse. The truth was, he'd been one of Raykon's amusements, and there was always the possibility that what Raykon had done to Zenya was worse.

When Abel went back to battle fort no.03, he gained an extra mount wolf. An extremely ordinary mount wolf
If Flying Flame had not gotten used to hiding its dragon vigor, the mount wolf would get scared to death, following limply behind Abel.
Everything wolf rider captain Beecher had was preserved, but his body had turned into a pile of ash. Even the other 2 wolf rider captains that wanted to capture him could not escape. Abel had sent out White Snow and killed them as well.
Abel now had an identity that could be recognized by the orc empire. Although it was not someone with great status, a wolf rider captain was still quite rare.
At the same time, he learned more about the orc god ceremony. The information he had gotten was quite good considering that wolf rider captain Beecher had only sacrificed 2 sheep.
"White Cloud, head to the Rocky Field!" Abel yelled at White Cloud, who was resting at the time.
"Ghoo ghoo.." White Cloud then began to flap its giant wings and head towards the rocky ground.
Since he needed to examine the condition of the orc empire, he had to go to the place where most of the orcs gathered. It was the rocky ground located slightly north of east.
After half a day of flying, Abel finally saw the rocky ground. There was a forest of thorns separating it from the wolf garden. Within the forest, there was a small passage guarded by wolf riders and around 10 Taurens.
Compared to the dried up wolf garden, this place looked even more lifeless. There were only some tiny thin plants popping out from time to time.
The rocky ground was a fitting name for the barren area. Abel stretched out his sight. The entire place was a patch of grey dirt, and there were all kinds of rocks--Some big, some small. It was basically a desert.
He didn't know how the orcs could survive in a place like this, but he soon discovered a patch of water that seemed to be the only source of water around here.
Next to the water, there was an oasis. Some Tauren were working hard on their crops. They were elders, and the young Tauren were nowhere to be seen.
Just like the wolves, the Tauren were some of the hardest working orcs. Although there were not many things in the Rocky ground, the entire place was ruled by Tauren.
The Tauren were a rare breed of orcs who had a natural insanity attribute. They did not like battles normally, but once they heard the sound of war. Their fighting spirit would shoot up by a few times.
It was because of the Tauren's normally peaceful nature; they could turn this vast rocky field into their domain. 
Abel took out a telescope and examined what kind of crops they were growing. It looked strange, those crops were not tall, but they were extremely thick. He didn't even know what it was as a druid.
Suddenly a Tauren that seemed to be starving plucked one of those crops from the ground and began eating it.
As Abel gazed at this oasis, he thought to himself, how many Tauren can these crops keep alive?
As he continued to fly, he realized how strange their planting method was. Due to the lack of water, there were countless wells on the ground. And those corps would often grow around the well between the gaps of the stones. The Tauren here were not willing to waste a single bit of water.
White Cloud's speed was miraculous. After a few days of flying, Abel finally saw a city. According to the orc tooth map, this was the largest Tauren city, Scan City.
The entire city was made out of the only endless resource here, rocks. From the sky, Abel saw 2 humongous yet grand-looking structures. There were a temple and a palace. 
Abel couldn't help but sigh. Even a dead piece of land could give birth to religion and feudalism. Humans were not the only species that went crazy for power.
As Abel causally toured around the orc empire, a team of 10 humans had set off from the Miracle Wall.
This team was made up of 5 head commanders and 5 intermediate wizards. The head commanders were not on their mounts, but those intermediate wizards were able to bring them along and move in a flash.
An intermediate wizard could only move around 100 miles in a flash before they needed rest. If not, their fighting ability might be affected. This was not the problem of mana store, but because casting spells were quite energy draining.
Still, moving in a flash was a lot faster than a mount.
"Let's rest!'' Head commander Donald said to intermediate wizard Hubert who was by his side, and then to the rest of the team.
"Ok, I'll set up the circle!" Wizard Hubert stopped flashing and placed a magic circle board on the ground, and ignited a barrier circle.
The 10 men quickly stepped within the barrier circle and sat down on the ground. The wizards took out the water and distributed it to the others.
"Weird, how come we never saw a single wolf rider along the way. This is the wolf garden!" Head Commander Nelson said in confusion.
"Maybe we are lucky!" Head commander Naishi said with a laugh.
All the men began to laugh, as well. They all expected this mission to be full of danger, and moving in a flash with wizards instead of taking their mount for a speedier ride was even riskier.
However, it seemed like this idea was not bad at all. Although the ability of knights would be affected a little without a mount, all the men on the spot were head commanders. They could totally make it up with the brutal strength of their body.
Although the roads they took were extremely dangerous, as long as the wizards kept their eyes out when moving in a flash, they should be fine, especially with this many head commanders.
"After this mission, I hope everyone can help avenge Wizard Amos!" Head Commander Donald lowered his voice.
"Of course. Edi, are you sure k3516 is still doing operation alone in the orc battlefield?" Head Commander Nelson nodded and turned to head commander Edi.
"K3516 is very mysterious, and I don't really know how powerful he is. He had been on his own ever since the beginning of the orc hunting mission, but his results seemed very scary!" Head commander Edi suddenly remembered the extra war glory. How many orcs did one need to kill to get this much war glory?
"I don't care how powerful he is. With the 10 of us together, even elite wizards can't stop us!" Said head Commander Donald with grand confidence.
"Nice, nice!" Everyone began to laugh again. Everyone on the spot was extremely confident about their own ability.
"Donald. Did Amos have that book with him when he died?" wizard Hubert suddenly added.
"Most likely, there's no way he would let go of such an important thing!" Head Commander Donald said in certainty.
"Then, do you think k3516 will be on his way to the orc god blood as well?" Wizard Hubert asked again.
"I don't think so. Amos and I had spent quite a long time on that thing; he shouldn't have that ability!" Although head commander Donald didn't think Abel would, it didn't stop him from having doubts.
"But K3516 has the battle drum; he can clear away the surveillance in the sky. He also has the orc tooth map, so he can take the shortest path. He had even gotten the last bit of information about the orc god blood from Amos. How would he let a good opportunity like this slip away?" Wizard Hubert added in a low voice.
"K3516 locked himself up for training. He locked himself up the day before we set off from Miracle City!" Head Commander Edi hesitated a little, but he still said what was in his mind.
Although their orc hunting team had been dismissed, he could still hear a thing or two, especially with a big mouth like k3308. He just wouldn't shut up, even when injured. 
"Locked himself up for training? At this time? There's no way. He is definitely going for the same thing as us. It looks like we are in for a lot of fun this time!" Head commander Nelson said loudly.

After having left the humans behind dumbfounded, Ark decided to go back to his little hole to think a little bit. First of all, he wanted to think about the possibility of returning to human society and what he would do if it were possible. It's always good to have a plan just in case he was someday able to maybe speak to humans or even becoming one himself, this was a world of magic so who knew what was possible right?

Ark wasn't sure if he wanted to go back to human society, or well he was kind of sure but there was still a shred of hesitation left. The reason he still had a shred of hesitation left was because of his former life, his life had been miserable, so he didn't know what would happen in this world. The most significant reason he had such a miserable life in his former world was that he was an orphan.

But in this world it didn't matter as much as long as you were strong enough, I mean who would have the right to judge you if you were a lot stronger than them, well at least not someone who still wanted to keep their head. Of course, not all people would just behead you if you badmouthed them a little bit but there was still a chance, and it would just be stupid to offend someone strong in the first place.

After a little bit of thought, Ark decided that he would try and live in human society should the opportunity present itself. If he were to somehow turn back into a human though he at least wanted to keep his magic since his life as a human would be pointless and bad otherwise. He could also consider living with humans if he found out a way to communicate with them, and as long as they didn't try and do something to him since he was a wolf after all. 

Another thing he hadn't thought about is how he should act if a human attacked him. Of course, Ark didn't want to kill fellow humans as there was a pretty big difference in killing humans and killing monsters. But at the same time if he needed to he wouldn't hesitate, in the end, Ark just decided that he would decide depending on the circumstances of the situation. I mean if a human attacked him because it thought he was a threat he would just teach them a little lesson and then leave them alone, he would do the same after all.

Whilst this was going on you could see two humans quickly running into the town of Merelia, it was quite small and could barely be called a town but it was still a territory governed by a Baronet family, namely the Hughes family. The two people who were rushing into town was, in fact, Grant and Lily, after having experienced being saved by the wolf the duo quickly ran back to their town to report to the adventurers guild as well as Grant's father what had happened.

Since the wolf seemed to be intelligent there were two different possibilities, that was that it would either become a divine creature or a demonic creature. If it were to become a demonic creature then it would have immeasurable strength as well as being incredibly evil so it was best to strike it down before it could grow up to become a large threat. And if it were to develop into a divine creature then it would be best to try and protect as soon as possible since they would often be targeted by other beasts and they were usually nice.

Divine creatures were thought to be the messengers of God, at least to some people, whilst some people merely thought that they were legendary creatures that would be great to have as an ally. The world that Ark had gotten himself reincarnated into was called the Aries Plane. It mainly consisted of one main continent that was surrounded by numerous smaller continents. On the large continent, you could find all kinds of races and creatures, but the most dominant was the humans and the demon race. 

The continent was essentially split into two parts, one where the demons resided that was called Geneha and then the other part which was where all the humans lived, this was called the Oshwalt Empire. Under this empire existed 15 kingdoms of varying sizes. The kingdom that Ark was currently in was the fourth largest country that was called the Estridsen Kingdom, after the royal family that possessed the family name of Estridsen.

After Grant and Lily had run into the city they were shot a lot of conflicting gazes and looks, it wasn't normal to be running in the middle of the city in broad daylight, if you were a kid then it was normal but it would bring quite a bit of attention when two adventurers were running in the city in a state of panic. When the two was halfway to the guild they suddenly heard a voice call out to them.
"Excuse me"
The one who had spoken had been a woman who had been sitting in a carriage that they had just passed. Since they were in a hurry they didn't notice the majestic gold embroidered snow-white carriage that was in the middle of the road. 

What was even more impressive was that it had been dragged behind a special breed of white horse that was called "the snow horse". What was special about these horses was the fact that they were not only very physically capable but also knew snow magic, and they were very expensive. Hearing the really beautiful voice that came from this expensive entourage made both Grant and Lily visibly gulp.

After the door to the carriage was opened a lady clad in a white suit of armor stepped out. She was quite tall for a woman and was about 175 centimeters in height. Her legs were long and slender and she had all her curves in the right places. Her hair was a really bright and almost sparkling shade of platinum blonde. Her eyes were also really bright and purple, they kind of looked like two mysterious gems that were being shone upon by ethereal moonlight, it was a pity though since the rest of her face was covered up behind a thin veil. The white suit of armor enticed her beauty even more since it had some really beautiful engravings on it that seemed to emit a magical force.

After the lady stepped out both Lily and Grant were dumbfounded, who was this mysterious lady? Where had she come from? And why was she here of all places? A lot of different thoughts went through their heads as they were slowly being approached by the lady.

Ark is a young Swedish man. Growing up without the loving care of parents had a big impact on his life and his personality turned out rather cold, even though he is a good person. His life ends abruptly when he suddenly dies of a rare disease, but his story doesn't. In fact, he gets reincarnated in a world of swords and magic... as a wolf? Follow Ark as he tries his hardest to evolve and survive in this new world fraught with danger, after all, power is everything.

"Are you ready, Rowie?" The grey wolf asked, looking down at the small white pup before him. It was not like Rowie was as small as a mouse, but the wolf was easily bigger than the largest breed of dogs that humans had created. "You can change your fantasy now if that's what you desire." He warned him before they started their meeting with that special person that once took a place in Vanilla's short life.
"...Yes," The pup confidently responded. "I am ready."  
Even though Rowie could still change his decision, the pup kept confident in what he had chosen. He would be lying to himself if he said that he didn't have any other desires and fantasies, but what good would be some dreams of being strong, having all the food in the world, or running in the most awaited dog race, when what made him not only feel happy but also content deep inside his chest was his best friend's happiness and good being.
Her smile was all he needed to be happy. If Vanilla felt good, he would also do so, and if she didn't, then he would also feel down just like her. This was an opportunity to get to know his friend better —to explore a part of her inner being and mind that the girl would not ever open to anyone— and ultimately, to ensure that both would be happier by a better mutual understanding.
  "Very well, Rowie," The wolf said. "One last thing. Do you want us to company you? If you desire so, you will be doing this on your own. There is no need for us to meddle in external matters if you aren't confident with it."
"No, It's fine," Rowie responded. "You can come with me."  
Even if the pup had been told that he didn't need to fear anything inside there, truth was that he would feel scared and anxious if he was left alone inside whatever that magical place was. They were about to meet with a dead person, after all.
How would it be different from all those monsters that Vanilla and he had fought together? The banshee, the ghosts, the zombies, that horse-headed woman that ended up being one of Vanilla's distant ascendants; they were all people before dying and turning into the monsters that casualty forced them to be. The situation was no different, even if they weren't about to see some wicked monster that would desire to chop their heads off.
Without needing any more notice, the pup closed his eyes, trusting in the mysterious wolf and his magic. He felt some tiny claws touching his ribs. "Don't worry, Rowie. I will be here with you!" The cheerful voice of Lilith the squirrel sounded next to him.  
And then, angelical choirs sung and whistled, and even if his eyes were shut, he could still see everything dazzling in purifying white for a fraction of a second. It was like those times the Contractor —a man that had never given him any good feelings— would take both Vanilla and him to his strange dimensions, which he had not finished to comprehend.
Could those be part of this magical world? It was probable. He was the one who gifted The Very Essence of Fantasy to Vanilla as a reward, after all.
Did Rowie fall asleep? He felt as if he had just woken up from a long nap, feeling dizzy yet recovered. His nose was the first part of his canine body that reacted, and all he could smell was a refreshing breeze of something soft and sweet.  
He opened his eyes, and he found himself surrounded by the source of such a loving smell: green, thick vines, no longer than 1 foot of height, made straight rows separated by columns of 3 feet in length. They all were decorated by a flower that was carved inside his mind, even more vividly than the lilacs at the entrance of the Land Residence: Vanilla flowers. There was no white sky, but instead, an infinite nada of white engulfing everything above them.
Was that place a farm? There was no way that something like that would be a natural formation.
"Here we are, Rowie," The smooth voice of the wolf sounded. The pup looked back, and he and Lilith were before him. "Do you know what the name of Vanilla's mother was?"  
"Marie," The pup responded. "Marie Blair, or later Marie Land. When humans get married, the female takes the last name of her husband, right?"
"Yes. It's an ancient tradition in some of their countries. Do you know why I am asking you if you know her name?"  
"Eh… No," He tilted his head. "Why? Why does it matter? Not like I don't know about it."
"Because we can't simply approach her without identifying ourselves." The wolf explained.
"We need to give your friend's mom a reason for her to trust us, to speak with us," Lilith spoke. "If you want her to talk with you, she must recognize something from you. A way of knowing that you are connected to her or those she loved, even if you never met."
"But well, she must already know that you are her daughter's best friend," The grey wolf continued. "I think she already knows that."  
"How so?" Rowie asked.
"Mothers always watch over their children," The squirrel responded. "Not even death can break the bond of the love of a caring mother towards their beloved offspring."
So, could those religious people that always told Vanilla to make her mother proud wherever she was, and that she still guarded her, right after all? But now that they mentioned the love of a mother, something came into Rowie's mind. Something regarding himself, and not anyone else.
"Even your mom looks after you, Rowie," The wolf said. Rowie felt petrified for a second. It was as if he just read his mind. "Even after all that happened."
"My… mom?" The pup mumbled.  
"Yes. Even her." The squirrel smiled.
What happened to Rowie's mother and the rest of his brothers and sisters was something that was only composed of vague and unclear memories to him. But sometimes, he dreamed of them. It was as if the scene of that night where those burglars got inside his original home and massacred everything they found reproduced clearly inside his mind. They didn't show them mercy, and he had only survived by a miracle, or that's what most people who got to know his story would say.  
Because he knew what happened in reality; he didn't survive because those burglars smacked him any less hard against the hard and cold concrete, and he also didn't survive just because he received the best veterinary attention he could get. He had just been lucky to have gotten some days more of life compared to his littermates.
And he survived because of the girl that adopted him that cold day on the rusty cage he would eventually die in. It was as if a spark had been lit when both saw each other, although, of course, that was not enough. 
It was Vanilla's care, attention, and warm embrace during those nights of terror and anxiety and those days of hopelessness that allowed Rowie to continue living. Vanilla thought that Rowie had saved her life that Halloween night where Tabitha, the maximum harpy unleashed herself. But in reality, it was Vanilla who had saved Rowie first, not the other way around.
 It would be an unending cycle to think about who saved who in reality, but a thing that Rowie knew pretty well —as well as Vanilla— was that both would have not made it so far until that moment if they had not relied upon one another. They were a team, after all. They won and lost together.
"Come on," The wolf announced. "She must no be far. I am sure that she will recognize you on sight."  
Lilith climbed to the wolf's back and accommodated herself on him, He began his way up through the columns of vanilla beans and flowers, which ascended as a neat hill. Regaining conscience about his surroundings, Rowie followed them behind.
They walked no more than one hundred yards up, getting bombarded by the smell of the flowers and the buzz of some bees that flew around them, collecting nectar and distributing pollen.
The hill's climb ended, and they reached a flat zone at the top that didn't have any vanilla plants on it, besides the ones at the edges. There was a young oak tree at the middle of the circular zone, and from it, a tire hung from a rope, like the old swing at the backyard of the Land Residence.
He saw a figure leaning on the tree, and immediately detected something that smelled like a human coming from it. "There she is," The wolf said. "Be gentle and considerate. She has been aware of our stance here ever since we arrived, and she is letting us approach her."
