Right after Gun-Ho got off the phone with Jae-Sik Moon, he received another call from President Jeong-Sook Shin.
"Sir, this is Jeong-Sook Shin. I've heard that President Min-Hyeok Kim is having a wedding in Korea soon."
"That's right. What about it?"
"So, his father-in-law and mother-in-law will come to Korea to attend the wedding, right?"
"Of course. Why don't you come to the wedding too?"
"Absolutely. I will be there. I just want to talk to his father-in-law who is a painter."
"Mr. Ding Feng? Why do you want to see him?"
"I am thinking of having his solo art exhibition in Korea. I am talking about the art exhibition of the master of northern school literati paintings—Mr. Ding Feng with GH Media's name."
"His solo art exhibition? That could make money?"
"I believe so, and that's why I am suggesting this to you, sir. Mr. Ding Feng's paintings are so great that people will like them a lot. You paid 550,000 won for his painting yourself too. We can have his solo art exhibition in Korea, and we sell his painting about the same size for 1,500,000 won. That could be a very lucrative business. I believe we can at least cover the rent for the venue and the fees we charge."
"I was told that the oriental paintings are not so popular these days. Do you really think people will pay that much for his paintings?"
"It is true that we will have to take some risk. But that's how we make money in business, isn't it?"
"Haha. You sound more businessman than I am who is currently running an actual business. Well, I will support you on this. Do what you have to do."
"Thank you, sir. I think it's better that you talk to President Min-Hyeok Kim about this first. So he is aware that I want to have his father-in-law's art exhibition in Korea."
"No problem. I will do that."
After getting off the phone with President Shin, Gun-Ho grumbled about President Shin's art exhibition idea.
"I doubt it will be lucrative at all. She is trying to do all those work for small money. Say, we bring his paintings, about 30 of them, and we sell each for 1,500,000 won. Assuming we could sell all of the 30 paintings, we would make only 45 million won. We will have to give half of the sales revenue to the painter, and we are bearing the rent for the exhibition venue and marketing cost. We won't be left with much in the end. Hmm. It's a waste of our labor and time. Let me think about how I can turn this into a lucrative business… Maybe I can make some connection with Seukang Li."
 
Gun-Ho made a phone call to Min-Hyeok Kim first.
"Hey, President Shin of GH Media wants to meet with your father-in-law after your wedding."
"President Jeong-Sook Shin? For what?"
"She wants to have Mr. Ding Feng's art exhibition in Korea with his oriental paintings."
"Really? I will talk to my father-in-law."
"Can we tell him that Seukang Li recommended this to us?"
"Well, why not? By the way, the international book exhibition in Shanghai is a success. I read a newspaper article about it and it says that so many young people came to the book exhibition to get the pamphlet for the performance to be held at the sports complex."
"Really? That's good to know."
"Young people are so crazy about the Korean top star—Seol-Bing—and Chinese top star—Ye Long. They both will do the performance there. The news about the performance is everywhere on the Internet."
"If it's a sports complex, it can accommodate a vast number of people, right?"
"I believe they can accommodate more than 10,000 people. The ticket for that kind of performance is very expensive too. If they could get 10,000 people, how much money would they make? Wow. Moreover, it's not a one-day performance, right? They will do it for a few days."
"Hmmm. The entertainment business can be highly lucrative."

The French publishing company—Nantes purchased publication right of a children's storybook, and the Italian publishing company—Verona purchased a novel. Additionally, a Korean publishing company—GH Media made a contract for its publishing right of history books.
GH Media's president—Ms. Jeong-Sook Shin stated that she was certain that the Chinese history books will be very popular in Korea because of the close historical relationship between the two countries: China and Korea. GH Media purchased three Chinese history books."
"Haha. As far as I know, President Shin didn't even talk to any journalist while we were in Shanghai. I can't believe they just made up things like that and put it in the newspaper."
"Do you want me to go on reading it further?"
"Nah. That's enough."
"Well, then, I will talk to my father-in-law about his art exhibition and will let you know."
 
Gun-Ho then made a call to Seukang Li.
"Hey, I heard so many people came to the book exhibition."
"That's right. I was so worried that we wouldn't have enough traffic there. But you can say it was a success. I do appreciate you, President Goo. Distributing the performance pamphlet at the book exhibition was an excellent idea."
 
"You're very welcome, friend. It's actually a return of your hard work."
"So many young people came. I didn't know Korean celebrities are so popular among Chinese youths. It helped our sales too. Chinese cartoon books and romance books were sold substantially."
"Those books' publishing companies must be very happy."
"Of course."
"Oh, you know what? After visiting the book exhibition, we went to see Mr. Ding Feng's art exhibition that was being held around the same area. He was having an art exhibition with his oriental paintings."
"Oh, he did? I do like his paintings. My father knows him personally. I believe I have his painting at home. Oh, isn't he President Min-Hyeok's father-in-law?"
"That's right. You must have seen him at Min-Hyeok's wedding. By the way, President Shin of GH Media really likes his paintings, and she wants to have his solo art exhibition in Korea."
"Really?"
"We could get connected with the painter this way because of you, Seukang Li. If it wasn't for your book exhibition, I wouldn't have visited his art exhibition."
"If Mr. Ding Feng's art exhibition succeeds in Korea, can you let me know? Since I am in charge of the art field in Shanghai, I'd really like to know how it goes."
"Sure, will do."
"If his art exhibition is successful, I want to try an art exhibition of Chinese young painters with their modern paintings."
"Really? That sounds really good too."
"And also, if Mr. Ding Feng's art exhibition is confirmed to be held in Korea, please let me know. I will inform the press here that the famous Korean publishing company which participated in our international book exhibition will hold a solo art exhibition in Korea with the Chinese painter—Mr. Ding Feng. And also saying that they discovered Mr. Ding Feng's fascinating paintings when they visited his exhibition in Shanghai after visiting our book exhibition."
"Sounds good. I will let you know."
 
After getting off the phone with Seukang Li, Gun-Ho was thinking,
'If we do an art exhibition with Chinese young painters' modern paintings, that can turn into a lucrative business in Korea. Is President Jeong-Sook Shin aiming it? Because she knows that I have a personal and close relationship with Director Li of the bureau of cultural affairs and arts in Shanghai. If so, she is a very smart businesswoman. Oh, that's right. I was told that she worked as a curator in an art museum when she was in her 30s."

Many of the old books stacks fell to 100 dollars, but there were still no bids.

The old and new books were different; once old books were deemed to have no knowledge value, they would often become worthless paper.

The current price for waste paper was 210 dollars per ton. These stacks of old books were, at most, about 220 pounds. Even selling them as waste paper wouldn’t make much money, and would surely end up as a loss.

The two huge units, containing over 100,000 books, were slowly auctioned off from morning all the way until the late afternoon.

In the mid-afternoon, Li Du, Hans, and Godzilla ate some dumplings. A smart Chinese vendor had brought his cart to sell some fast food. Business was booming for him. The treasure hunters were too lazy to go out for lunch, so they just bought food from him.

With the afternoon auction over, Godzilla loaded the books into the truck. They had bought a total of 4,000 books. It was quite a hassle to load them, with the compartment space stuffed to the brim.

Seeing that there was still some time left in the day, Li Du said, "Let’s go back to Flagstaff."

Hans wanted to stay. "We’ve worked all day, especially Godzilla. After moving all those books, he’s definitely tired out. Let’s just stay in Phoenix and have some fun for the night."

Li Du shrugged and agreed. He knew that to Hans, a big city like Phoenix was much more attractive than a small town like Flagstaff.

They drove to a motel, and Li Du’s phone rang. He picked up the call and heard Sophie’s voice. "Hi, Li, where are you at?"

"In Phoenix. How about you? Are you off from work?"

Sophie said, "Yup. I went off work quite early today, and wanted to invite you to dinner to thank you for the help lately. You’ve done so much for me. But since you’re in Phoenix, next time then…"

Li Du immediately changed his tune."It’s like this, Sophie: We’re actually on the way back to Flagstaff from Phoenix. We’ll be back by dinner time." 

He gestured while he said that, and Godzilla quickly turned the steering wheel and drove the truck onto the highway.

Hans sat helplessly in the shotgun seat, his exciting night for today gone.

Sophie said joyfully, "That’s great, what would you like to eat?"

Li Du replied happily as well, "I’m fine with anything."

Hearing that answer, the female doctor was troubled. "Anything? Then I don’t know what to choose, because I don’t know your palette."

Li Du was about to answer, when Hans waved to him and mouthed: "Pause!"

Although he didn’t know what that guy was trying to pull, Li Du still had some trust in Hans, so he told the female doctor that he’d call back later and hung up.

"What’s wrong?"

"Sophie’s asking you out for dinner?" Hans replied with another question.

"Yeah, what’s wrong?" Li Du asked without thinking, and then froze for a moment. "D*mmit, you were eavesdropping on us?"

Hans rolled his eyes. "My ears are good; you can’t fault me for that. Listen, me eavesdropping isn’t important. If you want to ‘improve’ your relationship with her, then the next step is important."

Li Du mumbled, "Why would I want to ‘improve’ our relationship?"

Hans waved and said, "Alright, alright, then just pretend I didn’t say anything…"

"Stop, stop, stop. Big Fox, continue, continue." Li Du gave a fake smile as he spoke. He did have some affection for the female doctor, and indeed hoped that he could have a more established relationship with her.

Hans rolled his eyes again. "Next time, in front of me, don’t act like you’re some saint, okay? When it comes to issues about women, don’t expect to be able to hide anything from me, okay?"

"Ok-ok-ok!" Li Du nodded like a woodpecker.

"I know Sophie—her whole family are devoted Christians. Since youth, she didn’t spend time with boys. I bet that the first guy she’s ever asked out to dinner is you."

Li Du smiled gleefully.

"So that means—in her heart—you’re not just an ordinary man, and unordinary men do not do typical things. Moreover, they do not have typical dates."

Li Du said, "Right, right, so what should I do?"

"What should you do? Show off the best side of you! It’s like how a lion displays his strength when seeking a mate. When I’m seeing my mate, I’ll display my eight-inch cannon…"

"F*ck you! Can you be serious!" It was Li Du’s turn to roll his eyes.

Hans said, "I am being serious. What’s the best side of you that you can show?"

Li Du thought for a bit, and said, "My kind side, my brave side, my responsible side…"

"F*ck you! Can you be serious!" Hans threw his exact words back at him.

Mr. Li felt wronged. Those were his serious answers.

Hans said, "It’s cooking! Your cooking skills are outstanding. This is a rare trait among men!"

"And then?"

"And then are you an idiot? Grab this chance to show off your cooking skills! There’s no need for restaurants. Just bring the ingredients, go straight to Sophie’s home, and enjoy the homely atmosphere. It’ll definitely bring your relationship up a level!" Hans said confidently.

"Wouldn’t that be too forceful?" Li Du asked hesitantly.

Hans said, "If you don’t want to, why not just learn from Helene Hanff and Frank Doel, and communicate with letters for 20 years before meeting?"

"What?"

Hans was stunned. "You don’t know? The New York writer, Helene Hanff, and the antiquarian bookseller for Marks & Co, Frank Doel. Their story, a famous romance novel, ‘84 Charing Cross Road?’"

Li Du rubbed his nose and said, "I’m not that interested in romance novels."

"You have a d*mn master’s." Hans turned scornful.

Godzilla, who was driving, wore a despondent expression. "The topic changed real quickly."

They got back on track, and Hans began imparting upon Li Du his tricks for dating.

Two hours later, the sky was turning dark. Lights from many households began switching on, and Sophie heard someone knocking at her door.

"Hello, I’m here." 

Sophie bounced up and ran to the door. She opened it and saw a bouquet of snow-white tulips in front of her, with Li Du right behind them. 

Sophie was surprised. She looked at the fresh flowers, and then pointed to her cheeks and asked, "For me?"

Li Du shook his head. "No, don’t misunderstand, these are for the piano in your house. White tulips match pianos."

Sophie generously accepted the fresh flowers, and then used the tulips to cover her mouth. She giggled, "This must be some idea from Hans, that rascal!"

Mr. Li smiled, but it wasn’t out of awkwardness. The female doctor had hit the mark. It was indeed Hans’s idea—including that sentence.

Seeing that his expression changed, Sophie smiled even more joyfully. She ran back inside and placed the flowers into a vase, and focused on displaying them on top of the piano.

Then, she turned back and said with a slight smile, "My piano says, ‘thank you,’ and she will allow her owner to invite you out to dinner."

Li Du brought a cardboard box in. "Um, can we not go out for dinner? How about I make our meals instead? I’m good at cooking up Chinese dishes. I also know some Thai, Japanese, and Korean dishes.

Sophie widened her eyes. "That won’t do. It should be a treat from me to thank you for all of the help."

Li Du said, "You might not know that I love to cook. I especially like watching people eat the food I’ve made, so if you allow me that opportunity, it would be the best way of saying thanks to me."

Sophie stared at him suspiciously and asked, "Is that what Hans taught you to do as well?"

"No! I’m not Big Fox’s child!" Li Du didn’t know if he should laugh or cry. "I’m telling the truth!"

"I’ll gladly accept it then," Sophie said.

"Sure!" Mr. Li said cheerfully.
 
 
 



They love gold, and they love silver. Even more so, they love gems that dazzle, like stars across the skies. 
Firearms, jewelleries, and precious metals; A collector’s world will not be complete without antiques.  
Storage auctions, old goods trade, re-estate sales and gold-digging. But the truth is, if one wants to make money, then the supreme way is through searching for the legendary treasures. 
Holding the fort, there’s an ocelot, a wolf, and an Andes condor. At the side, there’s a loyal hound, an irascible ape, and an African honey badger. Who said that you can only rely on humans when treasure hunting?! 

To say the castle is beautiful would be an understatement. It's so gorgeous. Even better than my own castle. But I won't admit it to anyone especially to some big-headed kidnapper King and besides, I love my kingdom and castle.

We passed through many corridors where the arts of different artists are displayed on the walls. Golden and silver chandelier hanging on the ceiling and red carpet on the floor. Multiple doors on either side of mine as I am walking behind the Butler whose name is Haru. That is a Japanese word but is also used in the Korean language. His name means day, which I find quite cute. He is the most senior here who had rendered his services in this castle for more than thirty years. 

Haru showed me the library which I must say is very good and as many books as I can't count. This place is a special treat for me. This place will take the most time of my day.

"Will you continue the tour or will spend your time here? Princess" Haru asked me politely with a smile on his cute wrinkly face. He is such a good man.

"No, we may continue the tour some other time whenever you are free because I want to spend my time here," I asked with a small smile gracing my lips. He smiled in return.

"It's okay princess, whenever you want to continue the tour, I am always at your service regarding any matter" With that being said he bowed a little in front of me and left me there in this big world full of fantasies.

Back in my castle, I used to have a library too but it was not as large as this one and I already read almost all the books present there. Yes, I love books that much.

They take me to a world full of things that I have never experienced.

Walking towards the first shelf I took a book out of hundreds. Not even a little dust. There are plush chairs with a glass table and a lantern on it on every right corner of the library. I chose one and sat on it, opened my book and started reading it. The genre comes to be romance.

I have a bad habit of not looking at the description of the book before I decide to read it. I just pick one and start reading it. This makes me comfortable with every genre. I am not the type of person who reads a book of only one type. I love to read each and everything I find somewhere.

Time passed in a blur and it's already dark outside. I can tell because there is a window here and the time when I came here there was still light out there but now there is no light except for the fact that there is some shine of the moon which illuminates the room.

Since there is no more light and the fire of the lantern has already finished so I decided to head back towards my room when suddenly my belly made an embarrassing sound. I am hungry. I didn't eat anything because I spent all of my time in the library since morning. Myung-Dae must have been returned by now.

He didn't ask me to eat dinner with him.

That thought suddenly crawled upon my mind. What I am thinking? It's not like that if he ate one dinner or one breakfast with me he will always do this. But still...

Ignoring the sudden sadness which is bubbling within me I head back towards my room.

A knock on the oak door erupted my train of thoughts.

"Come in"

There stands Haru on the door with a tray full of food. He entered the room and spoke,

"Princess, our king has sent his greatest apologies that he couldn't join you for dinner as he is not coming back to the castle because of some business, so I have taken this food, so you can eat it since you also didn't eat your lunch," he said and I politely took the tray from him with newfound happiness.

So he was not here, that is why he didn't ask me to eat dinner with him.

I don't know why I am happy about this.

After Mia left, Jaclyn looked at John and revealed a cheeky smile. "You like her, don't you?" she asked nosily. 
Women generally liked the idea of romance and love, hence why so many books, movies, and TV shows were based on that genre. So, the scene in front of Jaclyn was like a real-life romance for her. John was like a hero, saving his damsel without asking anything back in return; secretly watching over her and admiring her. This was the type of male lead that everyone woman wanted. Most importantly, he was technically a doctor...and a CEO of his own clinic...
Was he cold and dominating as well?
The man smiled at Jaclyn warmly and replied, "We're just friends."
Jaclyn shook her head and sighed. Nope, he wasn't cold and dominating. He was the type of guy that friend-zoned himself. What a shame.
"Don't worry, I'll help you get out of the friend zone," Jaclyn offered.
John looked at Jaclyn and sighed. What was she thinking? He honestly treated Mia as a friend - nothing else. But, if trying to matchmake him with Mia took Jaclyn's mind off her addiction, then he didn't mind playing along.
"How do you plan on doing that?" he asked.
"I need to teach you a few tricks that always work on women." Jaclyn stood up, placed her hands behind her back and started pacing the room like an expert. She had watched her fair share of Korean dramas; she knew what she was talking about, right?
Wrong! Jaclyn actually had no real-life experience with relationships. After all, real-life never compared to the dramas that she watched. She had gone on many dates, but she had yet to find the perfect man. However, she didn't realize that the perfect man did not exist because she had set unrealistic standards.
"Trick #1: the back-hug!" Jaclyn started. "It's when a man approaches a woman from behind and hugs her. It feels safe and domineering at the same time. You need to try it on Mia, even if it's an indirect hug like reaching for something from behind her, it's going to get those butterflies going..."
John nodded his head with amusement. How was that romantic? It sounded completely creepy to him. Like something that a stalker would do.
"Trick #2: kabedon!" Jaclyn smiled excitedly.
John looked at the woman with confusion. "Kabedon?" he asked. It sounded like some weird fetish or kinky sex position. Was she about to suggest he commit a crime?
"Yes, kabedon. It's a Japanese term that literally means hitting a wall," Jaclyn explained.
John raised an eyebrow as he imagined himself randomly hitting a wall in front of Mia and Mia cheering for him. Was this a show of strength in Asia? He didn't get it.
Jaclyn saw the confusion on John's face and further explained, "In the world of romance, it's when a man pins a woman to the wall. It's both impulsive and sexy!"
John nodded even though he didn't actually agree. If he did something like that, Mia would probably file a restraining order against him!
"Trick #3!" Jaclyn announced proudly when she noticed the man was seriously listening to her.
John stared into Jaclyn's eyes. The first two tricks were already enough to throw him in jail, what other suggestions did she have?
"The forced kiss!"
John sighed on the inside. This did not sound good. 
"While she is talking or not expecting it, suddenly lean over and kiss her on the lips. If she tries to push you away, wrap your arms around her and pull her closer until she gives up," Jaclyn said with a dreamy look in her eyes.
John's eyes opened wide in shock. Was this woman's dream guy a pervert?
"If those three don't work, I have some optional tricks," Jaclyn continued.
"You have optional tricks too?" John asked in surprise.
Jaclyn nodded. "For example, you could tie her shoelace when it's undone, grab her hand when she's crossing the road, wipe away her tears when she cries, lean her head on your shoulder when she's tired, buy her medicine when she's sick..."
John shook her head. This woman was living in a fantasy...

After an amazing morning at Neuschwanstein Castle, Halia and Jackson returned to the city center of Munich, just in time for lunch.
Ernst dropped the couple at a famous garden and ended his services there.
"Thank you for taking good care of us this morning," Halia said as she shook the middle-aged man's hand.
"It was my pleasure," the man said as he tipped his hat and returned to his white Mercedes. "I wish you a long and loving marriage," he smiled before he left.
After the white Mercedes disappeared around a corner, Jackson held onto Halia's hand and started leading her into the garden.
"I specifically asked Ernst to drop us off here because I heard these gardens are beautiful in spring," he said.
They were at the English Garden in Munich, one of the largest urban parks in the world and it was free to the public.
As Halia and Jackson strolled through the garden, they admired the lush green trees and the colorful blooming flowers. For a public park, it was extremely well maintained. Every hedge was pruned and manicured, and every flower received the perfect amount of water to flourish. There were even ducks and swans in the pond in the middle.
"I really like it here," Halia said as she took in a deep breath of fresh spring air.
"I really like you," Jackson replied dotingly.
Halia pinched the man on the nose and placed a kiss on his lips. From the moment they had first met, this was pretty much their first official date. 
"Are you hungry?" he suddenly asked as they reached the middle of the garden.
Halia nodded her head as she checked the time. She had been having so much fun that she didn't even realize it was already 1pm. 
But, they were in the middle of a huge park, where were they to find food? Did they have to walk all the way back out again?
Jackson smiled as he looked at a sign that said Chinese Tower and started following in the direction that it was pointing.
Halia furrowed her brows in confusion, why were they going to a Chinese Tower? Weren't they from China? Why did they go halfway around the world to look at something that they had plenty of at home? Most importantly, weren't they getting food?
But, just as Halia thought this, the tower came into view and she realized what was happening. 
Around the tower were rows and rows of tables and right under the tower was a live traditional German band. Next to the tables were a few stores selling beer and food including pork knuckle and all different kinds of German sausages.
Halia smiled with excitement as her stomach grumbled.
It was a traditional beer garden!

Trisha came to look for me. When we reached the entrance of the campus Avika and Riya were already waiting. We had a joyous and stress-free day outside. As we had some delicious snacks and lovely desserts it felt bliss to us. Since we ate distasteful food for so long our tongues were robbed of the taste buds.
After trying out various outfits Riya and Avika selected a few. 

It was 5 in the evening when we came back. Sun has yet to set. After resting for a few minutes I turned to ask Avi about hitting the gym as we had lots of desserts today and didn't go in the morning. But as I approached her she was in a deep sleep. I tucked her in the light blanket and she snuggled to it with a content smile. 

Smiling I wore my activewear and sports shoes. As Avika wasn't with me I decided to run. Attaching my earphones I began to run. Music blasted in and my mood uplifted. There were many people in the garden. Players practising their games, girls chatting around, couples sitting quietly gazing the horizon or exchanging sweet promises while the sun was going to set. I decided to sit quietly in some place after running two laps.

After 15 minutes I completed my workout and sat in a good place to admire the sunset. Looking at the serenity of the scene I thought of a few words, not that good but apt for my mood and scene.

"Everyday when a day ends
It feels so relaxing to me
Every emotion blends
Sometimes merry sometimes gloomy
Sunset is beautiful
As it marks that the day is finally ending"

I sat there thinking nothing. Just staring at the sunset and breathing deeply. Sort of meditation. Sun sat at last. Sky still contained few hues before turning all dark. Breathing for the last few times, it was the time to get up. 

"Hey, are you okay?"

I jumped in surprise with a sudden sound. I noticed it was Avika. I thought that if it would be a movie it was the perfect time when Mr.President shows up. These coincidences often happen between the lead actors. Not that I was thinking we were the main leads.

"Yeah, just enjoying my quality time. You woke up sleepy head?" I said.

She sat beside me. 
"I was looking for you and assumed you would be working out as you are not a morning person, next possible place was the library." She said.

"You know there is a thing called a mobile phone, dummy." I laughed flashing my phone towards her.

"Tch, I know that. Just my phone ran out of battery after our outing and I slept soon after I came." She said making some faces.

"Come on let's go, it's getting darker." I stood up and pulled her up with me.

Next few days flew very fast. I continued to follow my schedule dutifully. In Psychology, we were taught so many things that fascinated me. The working of our mind is truly a miracle. Today was the day we had to present our papers at the Literary Club. After lunch, Trisha and I went together. Today I reached earlier.
I had seen Mr.President from afar a few times. He was present most of the time in the library as he said earlier. Idiot Sourav didn't disturb me any further as the librarian was always there. She talked happily with me each time I issued books. I had seen him playing basketball in mornings when I get a chance to work out. 

We had settled down and Trisha told me about Korean-dramas she had watched. I used to watch Korean-dramas and Chinese dramas. Here however I don't get time at all. We talked happily until everybody came in. As we were 14 members everybody read their papers. When Mr.President started I was happy that he liked the book. Every book has got it's the charm. It ended pretty well and everybody got a glimpse of other's capabilities. 

We got to know that the drama is set on the novel Pride and Prejudice. It was a beautiful romance novel by author Jane Austen. It was one of my favourite classic books. It was the story in which Elizabeth overcomes her prejudice and Mr.Darcy does his pride and then both surrenders themselves in love. I was very excited about it. Normally I heard colleges play Romeo and Juliet as a drama but this is really great. I do want to see the casts and hopefully, their actions would be top-notch. I want to see the characters brought to life. Many of us have read the novel here and was a squeal of delight when we heard about it.

As we discussed we were told to meet the Drama Club. Trisha and I walked towards the drama club as we wanted to meet Avika and Riya. While Avika was a dancer, Riya was a singer. They both aren't going to participate in the drama but will be there during the meeting just to see the preparations. 
When we reached we started talking and joking with each other. 

"Manya?" I heard someone call. I turned and saw Mr.President calling me over while he was talking to two people there.

"See she is the one I told you about." Is he serious? No, I don't want to act at all. Maybe I would like to do some work but no acting. I admit I had done some acting in my high school days but this was too much.

"Please excuse us for a moment," I said to them and dragged him away. 

"Did I tell you to recommend to me?" I said.

"No, but on Saturday I asked, you didn't deny either." He said with an expression that seemed annoying to me.

"Please tell them I'm not going to participate in the drama." 

"Why?"

"Because it's MY decision," I growled 

"Okay, don't get mad. I didn't say anything I just told them how nicely you have written your assignment paper. I told them that you could assist me in screenwriting. If you want to act that's another story." He said, totally cool. So that's what he was talking about. Screenwriting is the thing I would enjoy but still,

"But still, you should have told me before you were planning to do so," I said

"I'm sorry," he said so sincerely that I felt guilty.

"I want to apologize too as I was too rash," I said biting my lips.

"So are we cool?" He asked softly.

"Yeah. Well, is the post of screenwriter's assistant is still open?" 

"No, someone took it." He said

"Who?" I asked

"Some girl named Manya Verma." We laughed. 

"Do you agree?" He asked.

I contemplated for a moment. Screenwriting would be good, it's my favourite novel and I don't have to do most of the work what more a lazy soul like me desires?
"Yup, I agree," I said

We walked back together and he told them about him being the screenwriter and me being the assistant.
I wanted Avika to try out the auditions but she is in dance which requires a lot of time and energy. As this fest programme's responsibility was Drama Club's they are already divided into several groups and at last very fewer people were left in performing actual drama part. 

As the fest was approaching at the end of mid- August we had time in our hands. Even though the script has to be ready early. Mr.President and I decided to work in the library the next few days as we shortened the entire drama into 30 minutes. 

Today since he called me over I hadn't gotten a chance to talk to my friends. I followed him everywhere. A few minutes later everybody started departing. I got a message from Riya saying they are returning to their practice and Trisha is accompanying them. I sighed and maybe the person beside me mistook it for boredom or tiredness because he flashed me an apologetic smile. He then quickly wrapped up the conversation and led me to the cafeteria.

He told me to order whatever I like, but this was college cafeteria and not a very good place to order 'whatever I like'. Anyway, I didn't want to eat my regular sandwich so I ordered some french fries after asking him if he would help me finish it and a cup of coffee. He too ordered a coffee.

We sat in the same place as the other day.
While sitting he said.

"Next time it wouldn't be this cafeteria." I laughed at this.

"I don't know in which year you are studying," I said thinking carefully.

"You really didn't pay attention to the first day, did you?" He asked.

I was really embarrassed.
"Yeah, I didn't. After the library incident, I felt dejected for a long time and I bear grudges so I didn't pay attention." I said truthfully.

"Bearing grudges, I'll remember that." He chuckled.

"Will you tell me or not," I asked

"Let's do this again. Our introductions." He said and then continued.
"Hello, my name is Vihaan Kashyap and I'm a third-year student here. Hobbies are playing basketball, reading books and listening to music."

"I'm Manya Verma, nice to meet you. I'm a first-year student here. Hobbies are reading, dancing, painting, listening to music and watching movies and dramas." I said mimicking him.

"You paint and dance too?" He asked surprised. This surprise didn't offend me, rather I wanted to tell him more. 

"Yeah. I love cooking. Baking at that." I said.

"You cook too? Would this lowly creature someday would have the fortune to taste your cooking?" He said

"Yes, you could as you aren't any lowly creature but my esteemed senior. But I don't know how and when." I said.

I know he is just joking but my silly heart sped when he said he would like to taste my cooking. Our order had arrived he went to the counter to bring things over.

"Have you read Pride and Prejudice?" He asked.

"Yes," I nodded enthusiastically. Now things will get interesting as I'll get to write (or help in writing, whatever) dialogues of Elizabeth and Mr.Darcy.

A girl with a past she couldn't let go. Once cheerful and chirpy, she began to question her values, intention and even existence.

"God? Have you kept me here just to feel immense guilt each moment I breathe?" She asked, voice breaking and trembling in between her sobs as she tried to compose herself.

After suffering she regained her will to live but still didn't overcome completely. Will the arrival of her soulmate relieve her or will she lose this opportunity too?

"So you are saying that you were unable to uncover anything?" Lu Shaoming asked.
"Yes, President. Everything is normal."
Lu Shaoming laughed with a mysterious tone, "It's not normal because it's too normal… What is Ning Qing doing today?"
"Today Miss Ning is filming a commercial with a long legged oppa who is famous in Korea. President, they are shooting the commercial in the skyscraper that is under Guang Qing's management."
Lu Shaoming looked at his luxurious watch on his wrist. It was around noon now, and she also did not reply his WeChat messages last night. He stood up and said, "Let's go and have a look."
Lu Shaoming brought along Zhu Rui to rush to the skyscraper. Ning Qing was filming the commercial with the Korean oppa. She was wearing a grass green cheongsam.
Lu Shaoming felt his eyes contract and was frightened for a few seconds.
This was his first time seeing her dressed in a cheongsam.
The grass green cheongsam perfectly accentuated her curvy S figure, and the retro inspired mandarin collar complemented her tender neck. The cheongsam was knee length and had splits at the side, and her fair legs were faintly discernible.
She had her hair up in an updo. In the middle of her hair was a beaded flower hairpin. She had a greyish green paper umbrella in her hand, and she was laughing light-heartedly. Her beautiful figure was swaying like a lotus floating on the surface of a pond. She was fluid, graceful, and absolutely stunning.
Lu Shaoming's first reaction was to swallow his saliva.
He knew from the start that she was beautiful, but he did not ever notice how youthful she was.
Very quickly, Lu Shaoming frowned again because the Korean male celebrity standing beside Ning Qing. He heard from Zhu Rui, this was the most popular and hot long legged oppa in Korea right now. Every time he came to China, he would stir up a huge fanfare.
Lu Shaoming burst out in cold laughter. He felt disdained, and he scanned that artist from head to toe… His face was handsome, his figure was also pretty good, and his legs were definitely long…
But, was he as good as him?
He hadn't entered the entertainment industry. If he did, would these people even have a chance to survive?
Lu Shaoming's gaze stopped again on the girl's figure. The more he looked, the deeper he furrowed his eyebrows.
They were striking poses where the Korean artist was on the chair, and Ning Qing was holding an umbrella. She bent down her waist, and one slim arm was placed lightly on his shoulder. Their pose was intimate…
Lu Shaoming: Stay in control.
Then the assistant took away the umbrella. The production team made a bunch of bubbles. They were face to face, her small, white hand held the bubble wand, and she was smiling as bright as a flower as she blew bubbles in the direction of that person…
He was standing so far away, but he still could hear the duo's laughter.
Lu Shaoming: I still need to keep control.
He kept it in, and one hour passed. Finally, the cameraman shouted, "Cut." The filming of the commercial officially ended in success.
Xiao Zhou brought over a shawl for Ning Qing to put on. She reminded her softly, "Ning Qing, Young Master Lu is here. He has been standing there looking at you for very long. He has had an upset expression for the entire duration."
Ning Qing nodded her head to indicate that she had gotten the message. At this time the Korean oppa walked over, she bent down and curled her lips into a sweet smile and used the shoddy Korean that she had just learned to say, "Oppa, it has been hard on you."
The Korean oppa revealed a row of sparkling white teeth. He was in a good mood as he said a long list of words.
His assistant helped to translate and said, "Miss Ning, our Xiu Ze complimented you, saying that you are the most beautiful and professional female artist that he has worked with in China. Our Xiu Ze said that this collaboration was very pleasant, he had long heard of your skills as a director. He hopes that he would have the chance to work with you to film a movie in the future."
Ning Qing let out a bright smile and said, "There would definitely be a chance in the future."
After she spoke, the assistant spoke again, "Miss Ning, our Xiu Ze wants to perform a magic trick for you."
"Magic trick?" Ning Qing's eyes brightened up.
Thereafter, the Korean oppa stretched out both of his hands. There was nothing on his hands, but after flipping a few times in the air, he pulled out a rose from his back. He bent down gentlemanly and gave the rose to Ning Qing.
"Wow…." The staff were all in a daze, and they all covered the mouths to exclaim. "He's so handsome."
"Thank you." Ning Qing stretched out her hand to receive the flower.
But before she could do so, a handsome figure floated in front of her, and a large palm with defined bones helped her to receive the flower.
Lu Shaoming.
Ning Qing looked at the man. The man's deep and black eyes were fixed on the Korean oppa. He had a gentle expression on his face. His thin, maroon lips were moving sexily, and he was conversing in fluent Korean.
"Wow." Some young females were excitedly discussing behind her, "The oppa that I saw just now was so handsome, but now I feel that Young Master Lu is even more handsome."
"That's right, Young Master Lu speaking Korean sounds so good! He instantly stole the thunder of the oppa."
Ning Qing lowered her gaze, her heart had wave after wave of sweetness in it.
Xiao Zhou said that he had an "upset expression the whole time." That was something she expected. He always had a strong desire to dominate, and he never liked her having too many interactions with other men.
But no matter how upset or jealous he was, his expression would appear calm. He stood by her side and was conversing elegantly with the Korean oppa. He was the poster image of a gentleman. Actually, he was a stranger with this Korean oppa, and did not have any need to communicate. He only did so because of her, taking the role of her boyfriend to do so.
This was the mature charm of a 31 year old man; he stood by your side to give you a sense of security.
Furthermore, he was originally the focus of the crowd. He was a pure and outstanding man. Once he appeared, he would always be the focal point of everyone present.
When he spoke Korean, it was really very melodious. In the past, when she heard him singing a French song, she was beyond mesmerized. Now she felt whatever she was hearing now was like an orchestral score.
Ning Qing's small, blushing face quickly glanced at his attire. He was wearing a dark blue striped shirt paired with grey trousers. Under the thin material of the cloth was his built and firm chest. The black metal belt accentuated his perfect Adonis Belt.
Ning Qing had always felt he was the man who brought out the best essence of someone dressed in a shirt and trousers.
Lu Shaoming and the Korean oppa conversed for a bit, then the Korean oppa looked at Ning Qing with a friendly vibe and waved to say goodbye.
The staff also left.

Lu Shaoming stood up straight and looked at Ning Qing directly in the eyes. She did not have the smile on her face anymore. He knitted his handsome eyebrows and asked, "You like the roses that others give to you?"
Ning Qing did not have the chance to reply. "You!" The rose was accurately thrown into the rubbish bin.
Ning Qing stomped her feet angrily and said, "Lu Shaoming, what are you doing? Why are you not allowing me to accept a rose given by others?"
She still was not afraid to ask?
"Ning Qing, don't you know what roses mean?"
"I know. I still thought that Young Master Lu did not know. If not, based on our relationship status now, why have you never given me roses?"
Lu Shaoming was stumped.
"You are unable to speak right?" Ning Qing pouted her pink lips and said in an upset tone, "Because you are not aware of this subconsciously. What would an old man like you know what romance is?"
The man pursed his lips and did not speak.
Ning Qing turned around and did not bother with him, "Xiao Zhou, let's go. Let's go have a meal. We still have to return to set in the afternoon."
Xiao Zhou: "…" A fight is a fight, but please let go of me.
Ning Qing did not take a step forward, because her slim arm was hooked by the man.
Lu Shaoming looked at Xiao Zhou and gave her a deathly expression. Xiao Zhou said, "Ning Qing, my stomach hurts, I have to go to the restroom. I will look for you later."
Xiao Zhou ran away.
"Xiao Zhou!" Ning Qing wanted to chase after Xiao Zhou.
But the man had a tight grasp. She immediately fell into the man's embrace. Her frail shoulder still banged onto the man's chest. It was one word: pain.
"Lu Shaoming, what are you doing? Why are you so rough? Once you see me, other than touching me what else do you know how to do? Others don't behave like you when they date, without roses, without candlelight dinners and also without a promise to pledge undying love. You just want to take advantage of me."
Lu Shaoming held her tight in his embrace. He had never comforted a girl before. Looking at how she was fluttering around so aggressively, he furrowed his brows tightly and said seriously, "Ning Qing, don't make a fuss okay?"
But his words were ineffective. The girl was still making a fuss. He was in despair and could not help but soften his tone. "Okay, baby. What you want me to do? I will go learn how to do it. Would that be okay then? Romance? I am capable of that; don't despise me. Also, I am not taking advantage of you, but it is just that the moment I look at you, I cannot control myself. I don't believe that other couples are not like that."
Ning Qing sneakily curled her lips. She quickly became expressionless and frowned saying, "Would you really learn? You should watch Korean dramas, look at how others do romance."
Korean dramas?
In the 31 years of Lu Shaoming's life, he did not hear of this word before. He was only 16 when he made his powerful entrance into the corporate world, and he had used every minute and second to rush forward.
And he was never so bored that he had to watch a serial drama.
"You won't watch it? You said that you would go learn. You are cheating me again."

"This is more like it. Let go of me, quick."
Lu Shaoming raised both of his hands to concede defeat and let go of her.
The girl's small face was slightly red. She pouted and puffed up her delicate cheeks and was still angry. She still did not bother with him, and she lifted her heels and turned to leave.
"Ning Qing, where are you going?"
"I am going to have my lunch. I am very busy in the afternoon, Young Master Lu, goodbye."
Lu Shaoming: "…" He was willing to compromise, but she still ignored him?
Ning Qing took two steps, and suddenly her entire world spun around. She was picked up and put onto the man's shoulders.
His shoulders were exceptionally tough. When they poked her abdomen, Ning Qing felt a faint amount of pain. She stretched out her hand to punch him. "Lu Shaoming, what are you doing? I am in pain…."
He opened a door and threw her directly inside of a room.
Ning Qing did not stand steadily. Her entire being was perched on a long meeting table. This was probably a meeting room.
She wanted to stand up, but the man press one large hand against her waist. Although he did not use much strength, she could not get up.
"Lu Shaoming, you let go of me. This is someone else's place; someone will be coming in anytime…"
Her delicate cheeks were cupped by the man's large palms. He came from the back and the man's low charming voice had a tone of brash roughness. He said four words: "This place is mine."
It was his territory.
Ning Qing, "…"
"Ning Qing, speak. What happened exactly? Why do you suddenly treat me like this? Do you not want to date me anymore? Or, is someone threatening you?"
Ning Qing was silent for 3 seconds and denied it. "No."
"Is that there is no one, or is it that you do not dare to say? Tell me, the matter involving Liu Wenlong, your mum getting hit… When did she have her eye on you? What does she want to do? Does she want you to leave me?"
"No, Lu Shaoming. Let go of me."
"You are not telling the truth, are you? Baby, why are you so stubborn? You know that you being like makes me really want to hit you?" Lu Shaoming said while he lifted her cheongsam and used strength to tug. Pa! He tightly slapped her firm butt.
Ning Qing was in so much pain that her tears came out. This rough person. But it made her even more shy and embarrassed.
Her small hand went to her back to tug down on her safety shorts. She wanted to cover herself up and be decent. Her voice was shaking, and she cried as she scolded him. "Lu Shaoming, you are totally shameless!"


Trying to drown her sorrow with alcohol after her boyfriend hooked up with her sister, Ning Qing ran into the rich and powerful Lu Shaoming in a bar. "I need a wife," Lu said, and the two got their marriage license. 

Soon, she who became a pop star won many pretty boys’ hearts. Singlehandedly, he got rid of all her potential flings and acted innocent. Ning Qing bristled, “Lu Shaoming, what happened to staying out of each other's private life which we talked about?” Turning the light out, he came over her and whispered, "Now our priority is to make a baby."
