Greetings to all my readers, I wish to say something to you.

Firstly, I want to apologise to all of you. All those who have found this fanfic to be enjoyable, I truly apologise to you for not so inconsistent in writing the chapters of this fanfic or responding to you all. There have been multiple reasons for why I was inconsistent but it doesn't change the fact. I hope you forgive me.

Honestly speaking, I had started writing this fanfic with nothing concrete in my mind. I was just fed up of fanfic in those days that I felt that I must write something better than fanfics with those pussy main characters and all. I didn't expect you all to like this much, however, much can be contributed to the fact that it was one of the first Against the Gods Fanfic here. Nevertheless, I am very glad for all the support you have shown me.

Even before I had started writing this fanfic, I had been writing a novel. It isn't a lewd novel I guess haha... It's something I have been working on since 2-3 years. Its outlook is also not like that of an official novel but still, I have done all I can do alone, writing the novel, editing it and everything. Some friends helped me, but eventually, I completed it by myself.

I am from India, and in 3rd year of my Engineering. I guess I found my passion too late as I had already joined the college and wanted to graduate before working actively in the writing field. However, near the end of my first year, I had already started writing this Fanfic. Perhaps it was because of my lust of popularity or because I also wanted to write a Douluo Dalu fanfic, I started writing about it too. I guess I chewed off more than I could bite. Writing three novels at the same time was far too taxing. Especially when I had to give out regular chapters. I even started using p.atreon to collect money for advance chapters because I wanted to prove to my parents that I could earn through writing as well. My parents were convinced but I was seriously exhausted after a month or two. I couldn't go anywhere and spent all my time on discord or writing.

After that, I was interested in a girl I met online. She was from the same country as me. I was infatuated with her. The time talking to her was so relaxing that I slowly found myself getting out of writing. I slowly reduced my time in writing and started to talk with her more. However, she soon found someone else she liked so I got a little angry. We had a quarrel and I was pretty much pathetically depressed. I know I was in the wrong but I still couldn't control my emotions at that time. I was quite pathetic, I guess. Haha...

Anyway, I am out of depression. I had started watching animes again because of a bit of my free time and study for engineering. (I pretty much failed in quite a few subjects in a few semesters so I had to reappear in those exams again. Had to study all that too...) In a bit of my free time, I read some novels. I tried to improve my writing style and felt that it has improved a lot. During that time, I kept my mind focused on my main novel and kept everything aside. I just wrote something now and then for fun. It was to try out whether it would look appropriate in my main novel or not.

I have said it before but I guess I will say it again, I wish to turn this story into a manga story. I know I am not from Japan, it's probably a little preposterous for me to think of making manga and publishing it. Even after that, I have little hope of gaining popularity. However, I still want to make a manga. I am going to hire an artist and discuss a long term plan with him to ensure that it would come to reality even if it costs me a lot.

Currently, I have released my novel on the Kindle (Amazon), I won't say you must buy it. In fact, I urge you not to buy it if you do not like it. That will be your own decision. I just want you to read the free preview available on kindle, just tell me if you like it or not. I just want to know a bit of your viewpoint if you will like the story or not... I haven't asked anyone known to me to review the novel because the first few reviews I wish for are the true reviews. I just want to know whether my story is worth reading or not and let you be the judge of this fact.

At past seven in the evening, Meng Fan left Kodansha with the first draft of a contract in his backpack. The contract naturally consisted of the collaboration contract Meng Fan had requested with Kodansha.

Okay so the Illustration is complete I updated the book cover on royalroad.com scribblehub.com and webnovel.com, I've also updated the synopsis to what is going to be on A m a z o n.
The illustrator delivered the illustration to me around 3 or 4 hours ago., so it was completed fairly recently.
It took me mmmm 7 or 8 tries maybe 9 before I was finally able to get kdp amazon to accept the illustration. I tried 6 or 7 times of those to get it to accept the pdf. In the end, it did not accept the pdf book cover, but I was able to make a workaround and submit the image through the cover creator by uploading the image and delete all text projected over the illustration by the cover creator and wallah only took a 2nd try to get it done after that.
This was for the paperback version mind you, no problems with the ebook on that front. Keep in mind I was just about to go too sleep when the illustrator contacted me and I only recently reverse my schedule back to somewhat normal. It was then that this whole fiasco started.
Now then, the ebook has passed review and is currently publishing which means their setting it up on their sites and apps for amazon, kindle and their various national variations.
The paperback is in review. Both the ebook and paperback should be released around or within 72 hours from what I've been told. I will also get an email when the ebook is published and maybe when the paperback is published not sure.
Next, I noticed when I was reposting the amazon version of the synopsis that the paperback's synopsis was lacking any spaces between sentences which is indeed an issue.
Now I would go ahead and edit the ebook and paperback just so they're more professional, but I tried that, it won't let me edit it right now and the button to do so are greyed out.
That said I do want to edit the synopsis of the two books so they're not a mess but I will have to wait, if they even allow editing of them after they've been published anymore. I know they used too.
I may or may not release another update when they've been published and or edited but for now you seem to have all the information and anymore may just be overbearing.
Also the paperback minimum price was 42 something odd dollars with no royalties, so I raised the price of the paperback to 50 dollars USD so that I can even make a profit off royalties, even with that each purchase of the paperback only gives me 4.25 dollars. The cost of printing is 25 something odd dollars per book, I guess amazon gets the rest and or put it into shipping costs???? Crazy right?

Alright, boy-ohs and girlies, I've tried my best, I really have, but writing is way harder than I could have ever imagined. I'm at 216 chapter, 218 if you count *******, and about 90-95% of the story has been written without much consideration for outlining. A while ago, I started a wiki for the novel to try to keep track of everything and only now am I starting to understand the magnitude of the mistakes I've made writing up to this point.

Anyway, the announcement this time is to let you know that my writing pace hasn't simply slowed. I'm just taking the majority of my time chronicling everything that's happened and will happen and thinking up solutions to the problems that I've detected in the logic of the story; or plotholes. I'll probably take a while and until I'm confident in where the story will head, I'll continue putting out a depressingly low number of chapters every week.

It feels wrong to not say anything and even worse keeping my ******* collecting despite the obvious downgrade to my writing speed. So, despite my obvious bias in wanting to keep Patreons, I'd caution everyone supporting me to only continue doing so if you're fine with the current situation. Webnovel, Royalroad and my ******* all keep publishing dates on the chapters I release, so you can keep track of my writing speed by looking there; until you feel it's worth it, reconsider wasting your time or money during these unstable times. I probably should have made this announcement sooner, considering the downgrade to my writing speed has been around for a month's worth of time, so I apologize.

I'll be putting out chapters when I can, but the majority of my focus right now is revisiting already published chapters, touching them up and documenting whatever I can in the novel's wiki page. Anyone wondering where I'm at can check the wiki page and even contribute if they're bored enough. That is all for now~

UPDATE (December 29th, 2019)
Alright, I'm about to get really real and admit to being a really shitty author these last three to four months. Truth be told, I really did want to take time to update the wiki and figure out how to handle what I thought were this novel's biggest failings in plot holes. However, to do that and find details that might have only been mentioned in passing, I had to eventually turn to rereading entire chapters.

Guys... I'm being as sincere as I possibly can right now. I have no fucking clue how I've developed a following after rereading the first couple chapters. I understand that authors can grow a lot after a year, but it hasn't even been that long and I believe the first hundred chapters are Trash with a capital T. It's borderline unreadable (upon proofreading this tirade, this might be a mild exaggeration, but it is true to my thoughts nonetheless) and the fact that I have nearly 4,000 followers after combining the collections on Webnovel with those following on RoyalRoad is incomprehensible to me. There are still even 19 people supporting me on ******* when I haven't released squat in nearly two months!

I've tried to ignore this. I've tried to work on other books. Hell I've even messed around with fanfiction, hoping to one day wake up and see everyone gone. Like the book had never existed. But like I said, there are still 4,000 people waiting for releases. More joining by the day and people still supporting the novel with spirits stones. Even 19 who value two chapters being at least a dollar.

Every time I think I'm ready to move on, ready to completely shut down the novel to start a new one, I think about those people and realize, "I'm a fucking bitch. Just finish the fucking novel, idiot." The passing of time has only made the feeling worse, so I guess this is a message consigning myself to completing this book, by any means necessary. I won't be able to focus on another story otherwise, so this update is more for me than for my audience.

That being said, the reason I felt inclined to give up on the novel in the first place was because of how terrible I found my writing from a nearly a year ago. So, I want to stress that I'm not going chuck a bunch of shit together to finish the story. Rather, I'm going to go back and rewrite things as I continue to catalogue things on the wiki.

Last couple things I want to quickly mention:

- I haven't really used any of the money I've made on ******* so I want to commission a legit book cover. Ditch that shit I made with my lacking Photoshop Skills...

-More on the money thing, after I finish rewriting the novel — it'll mostly be editing details that make the book seem less like it was written by an amateur, so the story progression won't at all change — I plan on also hiring people to format Book 1 and eventually Book 2 into legit e-reader and paperback formats. I know, I know...

"Greedy author, have you no shame?" 

Honestly, I want to follow pirate aba's style of keeping everything free, and I will. I'm not going to enter a contract with Webnovel or paywall chapters through kindle. However, for the people who for whatever reason want to have a kindle or physical copy of this (current dumpster fire of a) novel, I want it to at least be possible. There's also the benefit of gaining new readers through Amazon this way which is always a plus. 

Like the G.O.A.T. pirate aba — check out her (I think it's a her) book The Wandering Inn — I'll keep all the chapters on Webnovel and Royalroad free. Though the ******* thing will still be in effect at least until I finish the series or whatever.

-Since I'm rewriting the novel for the most part, I'll make more announcements as I continue updating the novel; meaning adding on to the story (Chapter 219, 220, etc...)

Unless it becomes too annoying and people request against it, I'll be adding "Revised" to Chapters that have been, well... revised.

-I'm going to be having some polls on RoyalRoad on a couple important things as I start getting back into the grind of updating this novel.

Namely: Should I change the name of the novel? If so, to what? What would you guys like the book cover to look like? Should I change the name of the Books/Arcs?

The opening ceremony of the international book exhibition in Shanghai would be held at 10 o'clock in the morning.
Gun-Ho and President Jeong-Sook Shin walked out of Hilton Hotel and took a taxi heading to Nanjing Lu where the book exhibition would be held. The opening ceremony was to be held in the exhibition hall. When they arrived at their destination, Gun-Ho could see the banner on the platform saying 'Shanghai International Book Exhibition'.
Gun-Ho wrote his name on the guestbook in Korean before entering the exhibition; he wrote it as 'the owner of GH Media in Korea—Gun-Ho Goo'. When the female staff at the registration desk saw Gun-Ho's name on the guestbook, they laughed while looking at each other. Everyone wrote their names in Chinese, so maybe Gun-Ho's name in Korean seemed interesting and fun to look at.
The opening ceremony started with Shanghai City's deputy mayor's congratulatory message. After the deputy mayor delivered the message, people applauded. Seukang Li was sitting on a chair at the platform. Gun-Ho was sitting in an area where all other participants were found.
 
Gun-Ho and President Jeong-Sook Shin slowly walked around the exhibition; they were wearing a flower on their chest, which were given by the staff. The book exhibition was carrying all types of books from children's story books to cryptic philosophy books.
"Gun-Ho Goo."
Someone called Gun-Ho's name and Gun-Ho turned around. It was Seukang Li.
"Hey, I've been looking for you."
Gun-Ho introduced Seukang Li to President Jeong-Sook Shin.
"This is the director of the Shanghai's Bureau of cultural affairs, radio broadcasting, film, television, media, and arts."
President Jeong-Sook Shin extended her hand to Seukang Li for a handshake with a smile.
"Oh, you must be President Jeong-Sook Shin from GH Media. It's a pleasure to meet you."
"How did you know her name?"
Gun-Ho asked,
"I just saw it on the guestbook."
 
Seukang Li introduced other Chinese publishing companies' business owners to President Jeong-Sook Shin. China had a very stringent policy in approving the publishing business license, so most of the publishing companies in China were large companies. That contrasted with Korea's environment where there were many small publishing companies with only one or two employees. President Shin received tens of business cards from the Chinese business owners of publishing companies.
Seukang Li said to Gun-Ho in a low voice,
"Thank you, Gun-Ho. I told the publishing companies' owners that GH Media is a very popular publishing company in Korea. That's why they are pouring their business cards into President Shin. They want to make a connection with President Shin hoping that they can publish their book in the Korean market."
"I see."
"Guess what I told them."
"What did you tell them?"
"I told that the owner of that famous GH Media publishing company is my best friend."
"Haha. You didn't lie to them."
"Thank you so much, Gun-Ho. You and President Shin's presence means a lot to me and to this book exhibition."
"You're very welcome, Seukang Li. You must be very busy. You don't have to stay with us. I will look more around the exhibition with President Shin before we leave."
 
As Gun-Ho looked at the books displayed at the exhibition, he asked President Shin.
"There are tons of books here. Are you sure there is not even a single book you want to publish in Korea?"
"Well, there are several history books that are intriguing to me."
Gun-Ho then said,
"If you think we can sell even only their first edition, let's make a contract. If necessary, I will invest more funds in GH Media to give support."
"That won't be necessary, sir. GH Media has enough funds to handle those contracts now. I will make a contract for three history books then."
"When you do that, please tell them that Director Seukang Li of the Bureau of cultural affairs and media recommended those books to you and that that's why you decided to publish them in Korea."
"Haha. Understood, sir."
President Jeong-Sook Shin made a contract right away with the corresponding publishing company's staff, and she didn't forget to tell them that Seukang Li recommended the books.
"I am signing the contract because Shanghai City's Director Seukang Li strongly recommended it. I didn't even read the books yet."
"Oh, Shi Ma (Is it)?"
President Shin gave them a small amount of deposit as she signed the book contract and promised them to wire-transfer the remaining balance once she returned to Korea. Since President Shin couldn't speak Chinese, Gun-Ho interpreted for her during the contract signing. President Shin smiled and said,
"Hahaha. I feel like I am the owner of the business, and you are my employee since you are interpreting for me during my contract signing."
"Haha." Gun-Ho laughed.
 
Gun-Ho and President Shin were having a beverage while sitting on a chair when Min-Hyeok arrived at the book exhibition.
"Hey, Min-Hyeok!"
"I am sorry I am late."
"You have already met GH Media's President Jeong-Sook Shin, right?"
"Of course, I have. How are you, President Shin?"
As Min-Hyeok said hi to President Shin, President Shin gave him a slight nod of greeting with a smile.
"President Shin, you haven't been to our GH factory in China, have you?"
"No, I haven't."
"Why don't you visit us then? We are located in Suzhou City."
"Sure. I will."
"Oh, how did your visit to Qingdao City go?"
"It went well. I went there because of a product claim we received."
"A product claim?"
"Yes. One of our customer companies made a product claim. They said they received defective products from us, 10,000 of them. I was terrified, so I immediately visited their site to verify the defective products myself."
"Really? How is that possible? I can't believe that our factory manufactured 10,000 defective products. Our GH Mobile's former plant manager is there working in the factory with an advisory position. He wouldn't have let anything like that happen under his supervision."
"Right. I went there and confirmed that those defective products were not ours. Those products look exactly the same as ours, but I could tell that those are not ours by looking at the product identification mark."

Hi, been a while. Sorry for the radio silence! 
A lot has happened with Gaia Online since I last posted an update. First and foremost, I've come to the realization that I'm pretty bad at this web novel thing--to no one's surprise, really! I've now rewritten Gaia Online for the umpteenth time and gone through several iterations of the overall setting, plot, and characters. 
I've decided to pursue a more traditional publishing route (or self-publishing) for this story when--or if--I manage to finish it in a way that satisfies me. Since I'm writing in my spare time, and mostly during vacations where I can really lose myself in the characters and their world, it will likely take me several years.
I hope you've enjoyed the first incarnation of Gaia Online even in its woefully unfinished form and apologize for removing it from webnovel.com. Should I be lucky enough to catch the attention of a publisher, they will likely not want my work on a platform that's not theirs, draft like state and all.

Hello, to anyone who still cares enough to read this. 

Firstly, I would like to express my gratitude to the people who gave me feedback on my novel and supported me during my short three-week run. For that, I am eternally grateful. 

I kind of disappeared out of the blue without saying anything because I couldn't take it anymore. It was stupid of me to do, but here I will be trying to list my reasons and I hope you can understand.

I began to write for WebNovel after seeing their advertisement for up and coming authors to make a living off of writing. I hate myself for being so naive. Looking back on it now, it was like falling for any other scam on the internet. Stuff like "Doctor's hate him because ... " and "Sign up to win ... " Etc Etc. 

As a twenty-three-year-old university student working two jobs, the only time I could fit to write was during the hours of 12 am and 5 am. It was literally killing me to publish chapters as I began to fall asleep in class, and my performance at work got a bit sloppy. 

But for the most part, I enjoyed writing the chapters because I loved to write. I loved to publish a chapter and stalk it until someone posted a reply. That moment when the first person said something meant the world to me. Because it meant someone cared that my story existed, and for this reason, I tried to push myself to put out more and more chapters. 

Things started to go wrong though, as most things do. Webnovel's feedback system is the most depressing thing. It actively tracked how many people had my novel in their collection and how many total views the novel had. However, the only number that matter was the collections. 

The thing was, these numbers were always bugged and never gave me a clear indication as to the scale of my readers. Aside from the usual comments from return readers, the number didn't mean anything. It was like running in one spot, over and over without any clear indication to if I was making any progress. It's horrible when the work you put in seems to yield basically no results. 

I was feeling euphoric watching my collections pass 100. You guys don't know the scale to my happiness. I basically woke up my whole household in celebration.

Then, in the author's discord channel, they confirmed that everything on the interface was bugged. Yep, talk about a slap in the face. 

To summarize ... I was and still am a hopeful about making a career out of my writing. But doing it on Webnovel is ill-advised. Unless that is if you are writing a fan-fiction or another cliche 'system' novel. In that case, I believe you'll find much success. 

Also, if you guys want to know the biggest reason for my departure from WN; in the search function, look up 'Da Contract'. It's the actual web novel contract. Even if you guys don't know the lingo its fine. Just take a look through and you'll understand my frustrations. 

The staff never really cared about us authors either. They seldom gave out prizing for contests and were hush-hush about even attaining a contract. But reading through it ... this thing is a slave contract. I kid you not. Anyone who is desperate enough to sign, I give you my condolences. But it's completely and utterly unbefitting of a professional "employer-producer" relationship. 

And the fact that tried to keep the contract under wraps ... they knew what they were doing.

Thankfully, a fellow author "ink bamboo" was quick to point this out to me. Otherwise, I would possibly be still slaving away here, with no end in sight. I probably would have hung myself if all my stress ended up culminating with being presented with this contract ... 

There are so many things I want to say, but I find myself more and more depressed as I think about it. An entire month of my life down that drain ... it feels bad.

I was told to try my hand with self-publishing on Amazon with Kindle. I believe it's more worth it for me to try there. If people buy my book and like it, at least I can get immediate feedback. If it doesn't work out... well, I suppose it just means I don't have the talent for writing.

Imperious Edge will continue, but not here. Not in this depressing hellscape. 

To my frequent readers, I am sorry, deeply and truly sorry that I have let you down. I can only hope you understand my choices. I often end my chapters with a bow, and to that, I give you my final respectful gesture as I sign off here. 

Perhaps it's asking too much, but I hope you guys would care enough to support me in my endeavours to becoming an amateur author. When I publish my first Volume, I will update this. 

Again, thank you and best wishes to all your future endeavours. May they yield more fruit and success than this.

WN is crap. They're slave drivers and made me question why I was wasting my time here. I'm sorry, but I just can't sit here and take it.

The months then seemed to breeze by.
Kay got a much better handle on her growing feelings for Joseph, thanks to her talk with Nitocris and having a heart-to-heart girl talk with Sayuri. The guilt she had been washed away and the longing she had for him became a bearable pain.
If Big Bro Nic could wait for Xing Han, she could wait for Joseph.
The only thing she didn't know was whether she had the strength to let him go should he end up with someone else before she could even 'make her move'. 
That was something she pushed to the back of her mind so that she could handle each day as it came.
As for Joseph, he went down another route. 
Having felt like he was not good enough for Kay, or that he would ever be able to reach her heights and provide for her the way she is used to … he started to write.
The blog that he had started became his starting point and he used the pen name 'Rose' to start writing. He opened up an entirely new account with that pen name at the online reading platform he had been using for the past year.
There was this 'writing prompt' contest that would reward the winner with some cash, the online currency that is used to 'unlock' chapters, and an online banner advertising the novel for a month. 
In order to win, the readers would have to vote on it. After a month of voting, the top 3 novels would go through a judging process by a publishing company. All three would be offered publishing deals, but only the best would win the competition.
There was no 'second' or 'third' place - though perhaps, the fact that they would get offered a publishing contract was a prize in itself.
It wasn't that Joseph though he would win - although it would be a lie to say that he didn't have some hope. It was more of the fact that the writing contest seemed to call out to him, for its theme was 'forbidden romance'. 
Forbidden in the sense like 'Romeo and Juliet' whereby the two lovers were from families that were at 'war' with each other. Not forbidden in the sense like in Shakespeare's Hamlet, where the son had an Oedipus Complex - that is, the sone was in love with the mother (though some argued and disagreed of such an interpretation).
Joseph felt that the best way to deal with his feelings and to settle it, was to write about it. However, he would be in control of what happened and what the ending would be like. He had the entire structure in his head, which included all the fantasies and hopes he had, mixed with the reality of the situation.
He was going to use the novel to release the pent-up frustrations and, perhaps come to terms with the turmoil that invaded his soul.
He used the pen name 'Rose' because he didn't want people to know that he, a guy, would be writing a romance story. Worse, it would really be a pure romance story that had no action scenes or anything of the sort.
Just thinking that people he knew would read his jottings sent him in a panic so he kept the secret close to his heart. He didn't even tell his sister, who would most likely make fun of him anyway.
He didn't have much hope in it gaining any readers for he was writing just to get the stuffiness out of his chest. 
So he began writing, entering the competition. His angle? 
A young boy falling in love with his older 'sister' - not blood related, but a sister he gained when their parents got married. He adjusted a bit so that it wasn't too close to his own life, but close enough that he could be more realistic with what happened.
To his surprise, his novel not only gained readers, but it also became extremely popular. So popular that a month later, he was informed that he had won the competition. 
He was so shocked, yet happy.
Despite the fact that he was a minor, it didn't mean that he couldn't form the publishing contract as a minor is allowed to work in Country Tz (and most countries around the world, in fact).
Thus, he was spared the hassle of informing his father to sign the contract.
With the contract, he was assured with a steady supply of income for a year, as that would be the time he was given to continue the novel on the online platform. Once it was completed, the novel would be printed in book form for anyone who wished to obtain a physical copy.
Little did Joseph know, that his little act of penning down his feelings then would become his career in the future. For now, though it was just a hobby still. 
A hobby that paid.
Thus, at that point, Kay and Joseph had accepted their fate and continued their lives in a new routine.
However, that routine was rudely shattered one day for Kay. 
It had started as a normal day, when she was hit by this huge wave of fear and worry from her twin.
She clutched her chest, feeling agitated, and she had trouble breathing. She didn't call out to Kyle, knowing that he would not be in any state of mind to talk. 
She was deathly worried, however, as to what had happened.
While her mind was fuzzy with all of this, her phone rang. She saw that it was Beatrice and her heart thumped within her as she picked it up. 
"Sayuri's injured and is at Trinity Hospital," Beatrice told her succinctly.
"Got it," Kay replied hoarsely, her heart in her throat, "Please call my parents and inform them as well."
"They are the next on the list for me to call," Beatrice replied, "As well as the other Elite Five."
"Thank you," Kay said as she was already on her way down. Putting in her earpiece, she contacted Zero, knowing that he was the one that was on duty today to pick up Sayuri.
Her apartment was close by and although she reached the hospital quickly, she had taken time to park her car. When she rushed to the emergency room, she saw Kyle standing outside the operating room theater doors, looking lost.
He turned towards her, his face pale.
She went over and hugged him, holding him tight as he held her tightly back. No words were said, be it openly or mentally. 
He was too broken.
Kay pulled him down, making him sit and they held hands while they waited. Not long after, Delilah and Patrick arrived.
"Oh, Kyle, my baby," she said, tears in her eyes. She rushed over and hugged him, while Patrick sat down beside Kay.
"How is she?" he asked.
"We don't know. She's in the operating room," Kay said.
"What happened?" Delilah asked softly.
Kyle clenched his hands so tightly together that it was pale, he said, "She was attacked."
"WHAT?!" gasped Delilah and Patrick.
Kyle didn't intend to hide the truth from them although he wasn't going to give them the whole picture either. The fact that Sayuri had been attacked couldn't be hidden anyway, as the injuries she sustained were too severe for it to be just an accident. 
Also, Kyle wanted the whole world to know.
Right now, he was too worried about Sayuri to bother or care about Sarah. It was enough that she was caught. He knew the Team would not kill her, and that was enough.
He didn't care what they did to her in the meantime as well.
Kay watched her brother suffering and she said with a few changes to the story, "When Zero went to pick up Sayuri, he saw her being pushed down the stairs."
Delilah gasped, putting her hand in her mouth, "But what was she doing at the stairs?! She's so heavily pregnant …"
"Delilah," Patrick said softly, "I don't think blaming anyone at this point will do anyone any good."
She looked at him aggrieved, for that was not what she was doing. However, upon seeing how her son was so 'out of it', she didn't say anything. It wasn't the time nor the place for an argument.
Instead, she calmed down and said, "I am not blaming her. I was just surprised because Sayuri is normally very sensible."
Patrick nodded, realising he had been too hasty. Then again, if he had felt Delilah was blaming Sayuri, he was sure Kyle had felt the same as well.
"Let's just let the police handle it," Kay said. Their parents agreed, thinking that it's best to just keep quiet and not agitate Kyle even more. He was worried enough as it is.
The Elite Five arrived and they sat there quietly, offering support while waiting for Sayuri's operation to end.
Several hours later, Dr. He came out.
