Note that my critiques can be pretty thorough (depending on my availability and mood of course), and they are far from overly generic and sugarcoated to the point of being unhelpful. This is not for authors who are merely fishing for compliments. As a content writer by profession, I have ample experience in non-fiction and technical writing, as well as proofreading and content editing.

This is a collection of reviews about the books I've read so far :)

Massaging his bum, Luke glared at Liz before starting to tell the story about how he had gotten involved in the entire business with the bullies.
This problem had been effecting Derek for a long time, but it had obviously reached a different level with Derek even getting injured.
Apparently, Derek had been pushed from behind while he was walking home and he had rammed into a tree which caused the bleeding injury.
Luke was coming to pick up Derek anyway, and he had seen this entire thing go down. In anger, he reprimanded the bullies.
He had come close to beating them up, but he left them alone because they were just kids. However, they told tall stories to their parents, saying that Luke had indeed beaten them up.
This was when Luke was called to the principal's office, where the parent started insinuating that their children were golden role models and that Derek was a delinquent who had grown up in the poorest part of the city. In their words, this sort of thing was 'expected' from him.
Anger radiated from Liz as she heard this part, as it was something that she had also gone through during her schooling years.
Society always focused on reasons to look down on somebody, and until recently, the Redmaine family had indeed been down in the docks.
Of course, things were different now.
It seemed that Luke had felt the same way, as he had actually thrown a punch at the parents and gotten one return, which was the reason for his black eye.
After this, Luke and Derek had been asked to leave and the principal was now requesting a meeting with Liz or Mary, because they were the official guardians for Derek. An expulsion had also been mentioned.
Clearly, the damn principal was also on the side of these parents.
Gritting her teeth, she tried to decide what to do.
If it was up to her, she would have loved to go along with Luke to beat them up. Yet, she knew that it would definitely cause more problems that it would solve.
Seeing the way Luke was still muttering under his breath and running the spot where she had landed her kick, Liz felt a little sorry as he had only acted as an older brother to Derek. He couldn't be blamed for standing up to those kids, and that punch was well warranted.
Maybe he could have handled it better if he had kept his anger in check, but Luke had always been someone who acted on his emotions instead of controlling them.
Smiling and feeling glad that she had such an awesome person in her life, Liz suddenly swooped forward and hugged Luke's waist tight, making him freeze in his place with shock.
Pecking his cheek and moving away, she said, "I missed you. And I'm glad you did stand up for Derek. But it may be time for a different approach, because this definitely doesn't solve anything. Can we have more biscuits first? They're all over…"
Of course, Luke was still standing there dumbly.
Seeing this, Liz actually chuckled to herself and ran up.
After a few seconds, Luke nodded like a robot and walked to the kitchen counter before automatically starting to fill another baking tray with the cookie dough that was prepared beforehand.
It was only halfway through this process that he finally looked up and said indignantly, "Hey! Why the kick, though? No biscuits for kickers!"
However, when he looked around, he realized that the kitchen was empty, making him glance up to the second floor from where he heard a small laugh.
Continuing to mutter and still rub his ass, Luke shook his head and put the baking tray in the oven before going out to join Derek and Mary on the porch beside the pool.

Getting to her room and closing the door behind her, Liz first smiled even more widely as it felt great to be back home among the people she loved.
However, this problem with the bullies was indeed something that was troubling her, and she didn't have too much experience with it as she had handled them in a different way when she was in school.
She didn't want to go into those memories now, but it was enough to say that everyone knew not to mess with Elizabeth Redmayne, especially after the first one who did so were sent to the infirmary, crying.
Thinking for a bit and remembering that offer which she had agreed to so that she wouldn't be awkward, she shrugged and made the call to the CEO, still not really understanding what kind of experience he might have.

Announcement: Release rate is going back to 7 Chapters/week from today.
I started this book with 7/week, and I increased it to 10 because of so many requests. I work 2 jobs and I'm dead tired when I get home, but I still struggled through it anyway because I am very passionate about this book.
However, seeing the many ungrateful reviews and comments about the release schedule, I am just really demotivated. 
And seeing the glowing reviews with 3-4 stars, I just feel helpless.
People say that it's annoying if there are 2 chapters on some days and only 1 on others. Well, from today, there will only be 1, so you don't need to wait for another one.
For all those complaining that chapters are "so short", all chapters are around the same, around 700-800 words.
Still, I will be increasing the chapter length to around 1000 words. 
The bonus will still remain the same(Top 15: 4 chapters, Top 10: 8 chapters. Don't think its gonna happen this week anyway, so let's see about next week).
There is also a lot of encouragement, and it would be wrong to say that I don't notice this.
I am very, very grateful for all the support, and you guys are the ones who are keeping me going. Thank you.
PS About posting time, I used to eat lunch in 5 minutes and write fast so that I can ensure that I push a chapter out. So, before, the time varied. Even though they varied, I didn't even miss one chapter. Still, I see that the posting time is 'frustrating'. After this one, all chapters will be posted at 00:00 GMT+8, which is when power stones reset.

Saying that Conrad wiped the tears from the corner of his eyes.
"Don't stress yourself, Conrad. It's all in the past."
"The past? Huh !!! My daughter and my son still call me their uncle David. Even after a decade and more had gone by, the pain never reduces. You just learn to live with it."
"You didn't say anything? I mean when your daughter called you that way?"
"I didn't have anything to say. Actually I couldn't say anything because I saw Rose standing there silently. SHe didn't say a word. She didn't correct our daughter, so I felt that maybe she wanted to give a better life to her kids. And I assumed that she had already chosen one side and that was Sebastian's. The pain and anger that was inside me, prevented me from saying or doing anything."
Even though the man was telling everything patiently, David could sense how restless and uneasy he was feeling with every passing moment. He wanted to console that old man, but he didn't have the words that would serve the purpose. So he just looked at him with compassion trying to express his warmth through his eyes.
Conrad could see that his words were sort of worrying David, so he shrugged it off and said.
"Well I deserved that, didn't I? All the anger and hatred from my kids, I deserved it all. I still deserve it all."
Saying that Conrad got up. He wanted to wrap up the conversation and focus on what next.
"Let's not dwell so deep in the past David. Let's focus on the present. Let's focus now, as to how to prevent the memory from coming back."
"And how do we do that? No, wait... but why do we need to do that. Akira and Raymond's love isn't that weak that it will sway because of something that happened in the past. Plus that was not Raymond's fault, to be honest. Akira is mature enough to understand that."
"You think so, David?"
"Just because you have been with both of them for a couple of years, you think you can predict how they will behave?"
David heard his words and stayed silent. He had nothing with him to contradict Conrad's words.
"That girl, even under the dire circumstances, even under the worst of the situations, never left her morals. Sebastian once asked her to spend the night with him, in return for all the help to find out where Raymond was."
Saying that Conrad sighed and looked at David whose eyes were wide open in disbelief.
"Don't overthink. That was just a test. Sebastian already had known by then about her background and family. So he just wanted to know, how far she could stick to her morals. Even for the sake of Raymond, she didn't bend, so do you think she will be the same with Raymond, once she gets to know about what had happened in the past?"
"She might try to judge the situation rationally, but she can never forget that his hands are tainted in the blood of her parents. Do you think she will be able to rest peacefully in those arms of my son? She cannot and neither can my son. He will never forgive himself and that will just ruin him. He will go into a recluse just like he did when he was a child. He will retract himself from everyone David. He will stop living."
"So what are you suggesting?"
"I am suggesting that medicines should go on. He needs to take them to keep his past memories from coming back. He is doing fine in this current state. He just can't remember a couple of faces, but that's fine. He will live with it. At least he will stay happy with her."
David heard it all and tried to reflect within.
He was torn between saving his memories and his loyalty.
On one hand, he was a friend who deserved to know every single thing, but on the other was an ailing father's last request. So finally after a lot of thinking, he said,
"Fine then. I will somehow persuade Dr. Nelson to give him the medicines to keep his old memory from resurfacing again."
"Really !!! You would do that? I can't thank you enough, David. I really have no words for you. Sebastian was right. You really are a trustworthy person upon whom I can count."
David gave out a faint smile and then said,
"But he already must be doubting many things. His curiosity is not the generic one. He will not rest till he uncovers everything."
"And that's why we need you more than ever. You can guard him and provide him dummy information as an when needed. Make this a dead end. Give him papers that I was his father and as for reason, tell him that I abandoned them and went into gambling and all those dark things."
"He might hate me for this, but I guess that would be for the best."
David thought for a second and then said,
"I think so too. I need to plan something and tell him. He has already called me up earlier. Let me handle him for now."
"Sure, go ahead."
"Will you be ok? Or shall I drop you home?"
"Drop me?" 
Conrad chuckled and said,
"My eyes have seen every worse thing in the world. This is nothing for me, David. This is nothing. Trust me, I am fine. I am completely fine."
Hearing his words David started walking towards his car, but then he paused and turned back,
"I have one question though. If your kids admired Sebastian so much, then why do they have only bitter memories about him? Why your kids never stayed with him? Why Raymond hates him the most in the entire world?"

Gazing at the Starbucks cafe at the airports had become a ritual for her. A desperate attempt as she hoped against hope to see him again, probably get one more chance to kiss him again. Looking at the store all lost, she walked ahead, but then she stumbled and bumped against someone. 

The cup of coffee that he had in his hand spilled all over just like the first time when she had met him. 

"Jesus Christ", he muttered. 

The moment she heard the voice she looked up and saw his face. It was the same face that had promised to stay next to her, till death did them apart.

Tears flooded her eyes and all that she could utter was, "I knew you would come back for me Raymond". She raised herself on her toes in an attempt to kiss him but he blocked her with his hands.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa !!! I guess you have mistaken me for someone else."

"What are you saying, Raymond? It's me, your Akira. The love of your life, your fiancee," she said and stretched her hand showing the ring.

He stared at the ring for quite some time and then looked at her face apologetically and said, 

"Miss please, I am already a married man."

And then he silently walked away.

Fu Yan had been very busy these past 7 days. He was working on improving the translation software as much as he could. 
During this time, when he was typing code for the software, he noticed the difference in the speed of writing with and without the help of Qing. Since Qing was busy updating her database and needed 60% of the computing power for that and the remaining was used for monitoring the game and some other minor stuff, so he refrained from using her. 
He knew that he was depending on her too much so he decided to work on this himself. Well, he was not working on this software all the time, as he would visit the Library from time to time and read books related to software development at the Library.
He set the time for the release of the translation software 7 days later because he feared that when the product was on market, many malicious people will try to attack the server or use some other underhanded means to sabotage his efforts. Though he was confident that he could handle them, having extra security is always good since Qing is better at monitoring than him.
There were only 2 hours remaining to the deadline that Qing gave him. He waited patiently while reading a book about algorithms that he had borrowed from the Library.
Time passed and Qing's voice sounded in the room.
"Big Brother! I have updated my database."
Fu Yan nodded when he heard this and asked.
"Is everything normal?"
"Yes, Big Brother! Everything is normal and all operations are running smoothly. My processing speed has become 2% faster than before and my logic program has been updated too."
Fu Yan nodded and opened Qing's core program and started to study the changes. After spending a while, He smiled. 
Qing's logic program had indeed been updated and now she is 1 year more mature than before by human standards. This means that she would be even more helpful than before.
Though he was happy that Qing had upgraded, he did not forget about the task on hand. He quickly instructed Qing to take control of the situation and started to integrate the translation software with the game.
There was only 1 hour and 13 minutes remaining before the launch so they needed to be fast.
With the help of Qing, Fu Yan managed to finish integrating the software just 20 minutes before the launch.
"Big Brother! The integration is all done and we can launch the translation software at any time."
Fu Yan did not reply and continued to stare at the screen. He was thinking about the impact that it would have in the tech circle. 
After burning his brain cells for a while, Fu Yan sighed and replied.
"Ok launch it at the announced time and be sure to monitor the data carefully. I don't want any mishaps to happen."
"Ok Big Brother! Qing will do her best."
Fu Yan just nodded absentmindedly and failed to notice the change in the speech style of Qing.

Cai Xun had been playing the game since middle school and even after he was admitted to a prestigious university, his passion for gaming did not stop. 
After graduating from university, he tried to find a job that suited him but after wasting more than 6 months, he gave up. 
To relax, he started to play games again and after advice from a senior, he decided to try stepping into the world of streaming. To his surprise, his popularity soared and he decided to take this as a full-time job.
Cai Xun was known for his critique of games and his analysis of them. His reviews about games were accepted widely and many game companies even tried to buy reviews from him but he maintained his image and gave his original opinion on all games without preference.
For the past 3 months, he had been obsessed with the game called "Adventures in Raeclasia". He was playing this game and night and had chosen the profession of an alchemist in the game. 
Since his major was chemistry in university, he had a lot of knowledge about chemicals. When he first read a description of the game, He thought.
"Lol, another braggart in the industry. Don't they know how hard it is to integrate different kinds of knowledge in a game and then actually use them?"
But when he started playing and made progress in the game, he became more and more impressed. 
When he left the university and could not find a suitable job, he thought that he would never get the chance to use his knowledge of chemicals and formulas again but in this game, he was able to utilize all his experience and sometimes was even able to learn from it. 
Just after playing it for a week, he became a fan of this game and his joy could be seen from the reviews that he left on different forums.
He left detailed reviews and suggested this game to high schoolers and parents who were worried that their kids were not learning well and were playing games all day.
While he continued to play, the game started to introduce different features that had never seen in games before. 
First came the voice to text feature. He, like others, was also skeptical about this at first but after using it for a while, he noticed that the error rate was only 0.1% at the lowest and 2% at highest. The highest was only when the microphone was of low quality or the user spoke in a very low voice.
This feature, no, this tool in itself was pretty amazing, and combining it with the game showed the dedication of the developer towards the game.
And now, 7 days ago, this company "Evolutioners" again announced that they will be adding a real-time translation feature to the game which will allow users from different regions to cross chat with each other without a language barrier.
When Cai Xun saw this announcement, he was beaming with joy. He knew if this announcement was true then this game was going to be a hit. 
What is the main barrier that prevents players from different regions from having fun? Well, that was, of course, their inability to understand each other. Now a game company was claiming that they had solved this problem so who wouldn't be excited about it?
Cai Xun was waiting in front of his computer, looking at the timer on the screen. There were only 20 seconds remaining before the launch of the new in-game software.
Time passed and soon the countdown hit zero. Cai Xun immediately started the game and opened the chatbox.

From what I've been seeing, there are multiple books on this site with manipulated reviews. Bad reviews have been deleted and thus the books themselves appear better. Although I can understand that a review made based on ~10 chapters of a book with over 1,000 chapters may not be accurate, it is still an opinion. 

People keep on saying that authors are deleting reviews, but as far as I can tell, I do not have that ability (it might also just be because I'm not partnered). Maybe those reviews are being reported as inaccurate by fans (yeah probably not). 

The only thing that deleting reviews does is angering the reviewers. On a site like Webnovel, where everyone can review a book an almost infinite number of times, it's just a matter of time before such a book is flooded with bad reviews. 

Advice for Webnovel, don't reward reviews with xp and limit the amount of reviews per book. A review is something that should be taken seriously and I find it highly unlikely that anyone would be willing to read a new book every single day (at least for an extended period of time).

John became a vigilante because he wanted to help people and he wanted to find his brothers and sister. 
                
                The people in the city call him, The Chameleon, he his still in the higher tier. A shape shifter. 
Kate originally became a member of the group, but only has a nurse and a trainer.
                
                Guys, why are we talking about family matters now, we've got to go, now. Emily said, waving to the others.

           Four months ago,  A man in black overall, attacked John. John did all he could, but the man won't go down. At a point he killed the same man, but just as he was getting ready to leave the scene, the man grumbled. Lying in a pool of his own blood, the man stood up and looked around him. The man cursed, looking into John's eyes without blinking.
           
           "You motherf*cker, you think because you're a supreme tier object influencer and a high tier shapeshifter, you can kill me. An ordinary almighty can't even remove my heart. So, you thought your little childs play could finish me off. The man said in a angry tone, he sounded cold and steam could be seem coming out of him.

 The man in black overall scoffs. You're not worthy to be a supreme member. 
Die!!
           
           What the hell? James had a shiver down his spine. His consciousness and his instinct were working at a high pace, telling him to get the hell out of there. But James had thought he could withstand the hit the man was going to throw at him. Besides, he just killed the man. That gave him more confident, that it turned to stupidity before the man in black. The man in black saw the actions of John, that it annoyed the man to move his plans of killing the BraveStone, upward.
           
           The man in black had already moved at a lightening fast pace, and he activated his consciousness attack, an almighty ability. He paralyzed John for seconds, before he shot him in the chest five times. Not only did he shoot him, but he put him in a trance state, his worst fears. With a consciousness attack, the victim can become mad or lose his mind, some might even die.

        One month went by, John had not recovered, but his injuries were getting worse, soon he passed out, and was unconscious for three weeks. Two days later, a lady was abducted by a group called; "The Guardians." She was well known for her unique ability and her loving heart to care for people. Her name is Katelyn BraveStone. Kate, finding out about the identity of her patient, help fix him. She spent so time with the group, but she did it to find her siblings. Lucky, Jimmy was flying into the country, so it wasn't hard to find the playboy, since he throws party everywhere he lands at.

The character B will be used to represent me and the other names will be those of people who asked me questions.


Sodaldo98: "Hi man, I like reading your book, even though the first chapters had walls of text. I was wondering why doesn't the MC, Tanatswa, not get along with his mom that well? I think if the mother hooked him up with some connections he would have job. Just curious."
B: "Well, in my experience, especially in the country I live in, Zimbabwe, there are high expectations for young men to get their act together once they have graduated from university. Tanatswa's failure reflects badly on his parent and also his interest in unconventional fields like manga art, music production and game development, which are not careers that parents would think of for their kids, make him seem unfocused. So he doesn't get along with his mother because he has failed at the normal way of doing things plus his interests in other things are a mystery to her, which makes her associate it with senseless drivel. He was just unlucky."
RemroseXOXO: "Do you like petite girls? The MC's love interest is short and petite, but she is very quirky and foul mouthed."
B: "I think petite women can be very nice to look at, especially the cute ones who are compact. I like them, but if you read the recent chapters with Shami, she has abandoned her petite heritage and now I feel betrayed." 
Narutoneverdiedboruto: "I like the fight between Tanatswa and Tichaona. I noticed that people find out the name of their abilities when they reach level 2. Do the names of their ability give away the kind of power they will have?"
B: "Yes. Not all titles will be obvious, but if you can guess their abilities through their titles than you have an advantage over them."
Cherrypompom: "Shami and Tanatswa get together and have graphic sex in your book? Did it have to be that graphic?"
B: "Well, for the story, I think it was necessary. In some aspects of writing, one may depict sex between two lovers in a romanticised way, with just 'they made love' and you leave the rest to your imagination. In my case, I realised that two highly attractive people, living alone together, one being unexperienced and passive whilst the other one being overt and direct, would lead to eventual sexual activity, but the basis behind it was lust. Without the escape of modern conveniences like contraceptives, it's risky business having unprotected sex. So the graphic nature of the depiction was to show how people can get lost in the act without considering the consequences. Pleasure can ensnare people so the depiction had to be raw, irreverent and carnal, because as soon as they were done love making, they were now dealing with other problems."
Sichijpop: "Is this going to be a long novel? Because I love binge reading long books."
B: "Yes, definitely this book is going to be a bit lengthy, but to be honest, I don't know how long. Maybe 500 chapters max or more. If I feel like there is more to tell and people are still interested in reading it, then I assure you, you will have a lot to binge read."
Nier2bnot2b: "Most of your characters have unique backgrounds like the female lead Shami who was studying architecture in university, the film maker Malcom and the most surprising of all, Clarice the pornstar. Why did you create a character that did porn for a living?"
B: "Well, I think as much as porn stars stimulate people's hormones by having sex on camera for entertainment, they are still people who are acting as these personas and have lives of their own. In today's current social media environment as well as entertainment industry, people see the persona and not the person. Pornography can be dehumanizing for the actors who are probably trying to make a living by portraying these characters who are mindless sex addicts that can be objectified. It's all smoke and mirrors at the end of the day, even if it's socially unacceptable in most cultures. So Clarice is an extreme case because she is neither a YouTuber who pretends to be loud and gregarious nor some teen socialite who behaves a certain way to get views, but everyone goes through some process which is just like doing a job to get money. Some make prank videos, some have sex and have their videos posted online."
Tennytom: "When will we see the blue poison lady's brother? I love the plot twist about the reason why they are in Goshem, keep it up!"
B: "You will get some foreshadowing about his appearance, but not anytime soon. A lot will happen before they will have to face him. By the way, thank you for your appreciation of my work, I will work had to post more."
