The Next Day at the 3rd Stage of the examination.

Tarun and Min-ah got up early and went to eat something before going to the academy.
This time, spectators weren't allowed, so Shin Lu and Shin Wu thought about going to the market.

"So, what are your future plans, Min-ah? You always avoid talking about them."

Suddenly asked Tarun as they were walking towards the academy.

"…."

Listening to Tarun's question, Min-ah wanted to spit blood.

"Are you really saying that? Aren't you the one who always avoids every question about himself?"

said Min-ah while rolling her eyes.

"Geez, when did I ever avoid any question? Fine, ask whatever you want!"

"Oh really? Then let's start with this. Tell me about your future plan?"

"Eh? Only this? I just want to rule the world! What else?"

Said Tarun with a very simple tone as if he was talking about what to eat for lunch.

"See! Here you go again, avoiding the question!"

"Ah, come on! I am telling the truth! By the way, have you got any clue about how you will awaken your bloodline?"

asked Tarun.
Min-ah, at this question, went silent for some time and then said with a very uncertain expression.

"Honestly Tarun, I think you know how to awaken my bloodline as you did with my aunt, but for some reason you aren't doing it. I don't know your reason for not helping me and I won't ask you either as you would not tell me the truth anyway. But I think the academy has a way to awaken bloodlines and I will have to try my luck there."

Tarun at this statement from Min-ah was first stunned and then after a while when they were about to reach the academy, said in a teasing manner.

"I didn't help you because you would've been required to be completely nude in front of me for me to use my family's secret art."

This answer petrified Min-ah as many thoughts and scenes started to jump in her mind out of nowhere and she was flushed red from head to toe.
Tarun immediately rushed inside the academy gates after saying that and he was granted permission because almost everyone knew who Tarun was as he was just too handsome and his entire group had died in a very horrific way.
Min-ah also chased Tarun with a pout on her red face which was covered in a blue translucent veil and waving the red card she got yesterday to the guards, she also rushed inside of the academy.
After reaching inside, they saw a very large hall in which quite a few people were waiting.

"There are about 40 People here and all of them are Level 4."

Said Tarun as he was scanning the room.

"I recognize all of them, they were all present at the yesterday's examination."

Replied Min-ah while walking towards Tarun.
Min-ah and Tarun waited for an hour before the academy's gates were closed. Suddenly, a curtain from one side of the hall was raised and unveiled a stage on which there were about 13 chairs present. 12 flashes of light flickered in the hall and turned into 12 figures as they reached the stage and sat on the chairs.
All 12 of these people were looking about the same age of mid-thirties and were wearing very elegant and flashy clothes with some even wielding staff and hand-fan.
Suddenly an old man with white beard, followed by a young woman with beautiful features climbed up the stairs and reached the stage.
He was none other than the Vice-Principal of the Imperial Royal Academy and the woman was also the same one who escorted Sun Jun to his office yesterday.
Seeing him get on the stage, all 12 of the people stood up from their seats and bowed at him as a gesture of respect.

"Hello children, I am the Vice-Headmaster of this prestigious academy and will be in charge of today's examination."

When the seemingly old guy with simple white robes said this, everyone was immediately alerted and bowed in respect.
Tarun seeing the 13 people, was shocked as all of the 12 people were in the 2nd layer of the Origin deity realm while the vice-headmaster was in the 3rd layer.
Tarun didn't expect the Academy to house these many monsters and looking at this, Tarun felt his plans threatened.

"This stage of the examination will be very simple, yet very complex. Everyone here will be put in an illusory plane and will be presented several problems. Some could be solved by logic and some could be solved by force. The path you choose to take and the number of hidden puzzles you solve will decide your final outcome. Remember that there are infinite numbers of hidden puzzles so look out for them and don't worry about injuries as anything inside of that plane will not harm your bodies. Now, does anyone here have any questions?"

Asked the Vice-Headmaster.
One hand was raised and along with it came a voice which was very pleasing to the ears.

"Respected Elder, I am Trish Moon and my question is, you said that there will be no bodily harm done to us by anything in the illusory plane but does that mean that our souls could be harmed?"

"No, your souls will be perfectly fine, but because the illusion will seem too real, many people might think it's real even though we have told them that it's not and that might leave some trauma inside of their heads."

Replied the master.
Tarun at this time also raised his hand and said,

"Greetings Vice-Head! Uhm, do I also have to take this exam? I mean, I was told that I am already accepted into the academy and more so, accepted as a Personal Disciple of Prof. Abhishek."

Everyone was in disbelief at what they just heard and more so, the other 11 People standing behind the Vice-Headmaster were looking at the 12th with unbelievable expressions who was standing at the side.
They didn't care about some entrance examination and were oblivious to the fact that Prof. Abhishek, who never had any disciple suddenly wished to have one.
Everyone was staring at Tarun and quite a few even recognized him.

"Ah, so you are Tarun! Yes, since Prof. Abhishek has already taken you as his disciple, you have automatically become a core disciple."

Said the old Vice-head.

"Come here, brat, you don't need to take part in this. We are leaving."

Laughed Abhishek who then stood up and went towards the exit.

"I will meet you at night, ok?"

Said Tarun to Min-ah to which she instantly agreed.
Tarun then went towards the exit to meet with Abhishek but the latter just touched his shoulder and Tarun's entire world changed.
Tarun suddenly appeared in a desert and Abhishek was nowhere to be seen.

"What did you think? That you can become my disciple that easily? Hahaha...You first have to pass this puzzle for me and break this illusory plane. This one is a lot harder than the one presented to those children so be careful, as…you may encounter some 'interesting' dangers…hehehe!"

This voice came out of nowhere and startled Tarun.

'System, scan this place and present me a map, also find what the puzzle is and how to solve it.'

~Task Failed. This is not a physical plane but an illusion magic casted on host. Host can't break through it as it is controlled by an Origin Deity. ~

'Huh? Don't you have some spells that can break this illusion?"

~Host can indeed buy some magic from the store which can easily break this illusion but you are as weak as a chicken and won't be able to use them. Host can also use some blood essence to break out from here but that would be too wasteful. ~

2 days had passed and Tarun was still aimlessly roaming the desert. This desert never had a night and always maintained a scorching hot temperature. His entire clothes were drenched in sweat and he was leaving a trail of sweat on the incredibly hot desert which was then immediately being evaporated.

'This…this is the first…first time, I've felt this helpless after coming to this world.'

Said Tarun as he collapsed on the scorching hot sand and closed his eyes.

"One other thing," Sunders kept up, "you placed so much nightmare energy in this part of the section just so that you can make people fear and even respect it, am I right?"
Angor nodded rapidly.
He defined a "theme" for each section when creating the illusion, and the theme for Witch's Town was "respecting your fear", which Sunders just pointed out.
"Nice idea." Sunders approved before giving his harsh opinions, "However, YOUR fear will only work on mortals and some of the apprentices with weaker mentalities. Wizards or stronger apprentices can easily see through your trick. They might regard your work as something interesting, and that's about it. Your emotion manipulation would have worked fine, if not for this easily-deciphered illusion. This is where you failed."
After going through the Witch's Town in Angor's illusion, Greya understood Angor's intention because she wanted to. Sunders meant to point out that she chose to follow the "story" constructed in the illusion rather than being forced to.
This meant Angor's illusion wouldn't work well on other people.
Even if it was intended to enlighten Greya, it would work better if the elements in the illusion fully affected her, thus allowing her to gain heartfelt awareness.
Angor looked down as he finally understood Sunders' judgment.
The illusion of Witch's Town only appeared to be good, but it was far from achieving its original goal.
"There are two ways to mend this. One is to improve your mind-manipulation capability as well as your own resistance to it, which means 'what appears to be fearful' in your view will eventually apply to others. The other method is to further perfect your illusions, in which case even if someone discovers flaws in it, they won't be able to escape from it easily."
He then left Angor alone to think about those words and entered the lone house mentioned by Greya.
As expected, the "bus stop" was placed inside an oil painting hanging on the wall.
While sitting in Cat Bus, Angor stared at his knees to rethink the lesson he just learned, and he failed to notice that Sunders had a slight grin on his face.
Despite the lecture he gave Angor, Sunders was generally satisfied with the illusion.
It was obvious that this illusion was not designed to harm people, but to satisfy Greya's "order". As long as the illusion met the requirements, some minor flaws didn't matter too much.
He came to the illusion to check "how well Angor's studies turned out". So far, Angor did a good job. Most of the logic shown by the illusion seemed intact, and the many interesting elements had shown Angor's brilliant imagination.
Illusions needed great imagination to achieve potency. As long as no extra demands were concerned, Angor had amazingly finished the job. It was just that Sunders was not the type to praise people easily. He preferred nitpicking.

Cat Bus allowed them to see more of Angor's illusions.
There were different characters that represented important clues or stories in various sections. It was not so impressive as there were many books that used similar ways to tell their tales, yet Angor did a better job compared to common novelists by presenting the best part of the stories for others to see.
If the illusion was a book, Sunders would believe that it was one of the collectible ones worth reading many times.
Instead of telling stories, Angor allowed anyone who saw his illusion to become part of the stories and experience them on their own, following behind the characters they preferred.
Sunders neither disapproved nor commended such a way of telling stories, but he was glad his student made it possible.
Anyone with time to kill or was resting between burdensome jobs would enjoy such a relaxed way of "reading".
As a former gentleman from a noble clan, even if he had spent a long time on the path of truth, Sunders would occasionally enjoy a storybook on his sunlight-blessed armchair. Any book was fine. Mortal novels, wizardry fictions… They were all about entertainment that kept his nerves from straining too hard.
Sunders would admit that Angor's illusion was top-class "entertainment", and this was probably why Greya asked the boy for the illusion.
Next, Sunders began glancing over the other sections like how Greya did.
The more he looked, the more surprised he was regarding Angor's potential in illusions.
Angor might have "cheated" his level by absorbing nightmare energy, yet the proficiency in illusions was completely gained through hard effort. Even with enough effort, an apprentice Illusionist wouldn't learn to create such a refined illusion within three years.
While traveling through different sections, Sunders took a brief stop at "Monument Valley".
This area did not have the ordinary logic as the other sections. Instead, there were strangely-colored shapes and objects placed randomly around.
When Sunders entered the area, he suddenly realized that this was an extremely interesting place, not because Angor slacked off.
He was looking at a flickering shadow, which seemed to be connected with all the strange structures around him.
Together with him, a character named "Ida" also entered the valley.
After some small tests, Sunders noticed that he had to move the shadow to manipulate the valley and help Ida escape.
"So I'm in charge of Ida's fate now?" Sunders raised an eyebrow and decided to play the little game.
With each of his movements, the structures in the valley would drastically change their orientations. Following these changes, the strange girl, Ida, began climbing over them like traveling through a mountain.
At first, Sunders didn't understand what he was supposed to do. From the shadow in front of him, he could see a giant gap on Ida's path, which would discourage any mortal from proceeding.
He believed "carrying Ida over the gap by himself" was definitely not the answer. It was a puzzle, and he needed to solve it.
He turned around and saw Angor trying to hold back his laughter as if the boy was happy to see his professor getting stumped.
Truth was, Angor was troubled by the puzzle just like this when he started playing the game on his tablet. He copied the game into the illusion because he found it to be interesting enough.
It didn't take Sunders very long to figure out the answer—the broken path was, in fact, an optical illusion created by a unique isometric view. When viewed from another angle, it became whole, thus allowing Ida to walk through.
The puzzle was all about seeing things from different perspectives.
"Now… this is interesting."
After solving the first puzzle, the next ones didn't seem so hard.
Sunders never had to move. By using the shadow within his reach, he helped Ida reach the exit of the valley and leave. 
The valley suddenly disappeared and gave place to a pink castle, from which Ida showed up.
The shadow in front of Sunders also changed into a smaller castle. Apparently, another round of puzzles was waiting to be dealt with.
Sunders didn't continue and left the Monument Valley with Angor. He did like the game, but he decided to visit the Mysterious Mountain because it was almost time for it.
He wondered where Angor found so many weird yet awe-inspiring ideas.
There was a monument placed at the entrance of Monument Valley, which had a line written on it:
[Journey to forgiveness]
So there's another story about that Ida too? Sunders thought.

Angor was still giggling when Cat Bus took them away.
Sunders gave him a poker face. "The illusion of Monument Valley is more problematic compared to the rest. The colors and structures, none of them should exist in common sense."
The gentleman spent several minutes pointing out the "flaws" until Angor began to wonder if it was a bad decision to place the game here. 
However, Sunders suddenly changed his attitude. "Once we're back, make another Monument Valley illusion so that I can get a better look of it, and hopefully give you some instructions accordingly."
Angor almost face-palmed himself.

Rezar snapped as he shakily got back up to his feet, trying and failing at not making a face full of disgust at the murky waters they just suddenly found themselves in. they all landed on varied…. Body parts, but Rezar didn't think it was necessary enough that they all had to start complaining about it one after the other like some choreographed act. He shook his head to het his bearings back as he looked at their current state.

They were in an enclose chamber with pipes running from the thirty-foot-tall ceiling into the tiled ground bellowed them. there were various outlets on the ground made for draining water or perhaps to let water in. it was hard to tell which, but given their current location, it could be anyone of those two, and it would still serve to be a danger to them all.

"Where the fuck are we?" he asked out loud, more to himself than to anyone else with no expectation of getting an answer back.

"We're in a hole your majesty." Kitagawa replied with a pondering look on his face.

"No shit Sherlock!" Samira replied back sarcastically.

Rezar shook his head as he turned around, trying to take in every inch of this chamber they suddenly found themselves. Lenore kept silent as she stayed close to him, also taking her time to observe what was going on, or at the very least trying to find something out of place within the chamber, not as if being within the chamber was considered normal anyway. Lenore moved closer to the walls while Rezar looked above him, before noticing something completely off.

"Is it just me, or does it seem like the roof is continuously moving upwards, like perhaps it's a few dozen feet higher than when we first woke up?"

"It's not just you your majesty, it is happening, and currently the chamber is currently being filled with water, but seeing how its hissing, I would say we're dealing something toxic…. Or maybe acid."

Rezar could not help out laughing at the absurdity of it all, this was like a scene from an Indiana jones movie remake. Dungeons, temples and ruins weren't sticking to the status quo if they did not have puzzles and challenges like this. But frankly speaking this might not be a challenge at all and might just be the dungeon's attempt to kill them all. It would be beyond stupid to believe that the dungeon itself was being fair seeing as it was created the snow elves and the dwarves they were allied with it.

"So I guess we have to find a way to either get out of here, or stop the roof from going up and the floor from spewing acid at us… lovely!" Lenore spat out as Rezar suddenly took a huge leap, planting his feet on side of the chamber wall and then pushing off of it to the next.

He used this method to keep on jumping, but the higher he went the higher the roof became, it seemed endless, like a tower that reach the heavens. He stabbed Vita Gratia into the wall and stopped to look down, only for him to have his eyes widened as he realized he was just three meters above the ground. It was almost as if the five minutes he spent flipping from one wall to the other was all for show, it was safe to say that he had never come across something like this before.

"This is an illusion your majesty…... well at least I think the roof itself is an illusion, but the chamber that's rapidly being filled with acid is definitely real. What we need to do is find an anchor point for the illusion. The world might have changed, along with a lot of the rules that govern abilities. Things have become a lot more technical, which means, there's a process to the application and release of skills.

 And illusions are one of the most technical aspects of magic. It goes beyond just creating an image that would deceive the person looking at it. The art of illusion goes deep into actually projecting your chosen image scenery or scenario into the mind of your target. But sight is not enough, a good illusion deceives all the senses of sight, touch, taste, hearing and smell. This is what we use to make our illusions, to the point we could possible use that to control the mind.

But that's too much senses to pay attention to at any given time, a single illusion is made up of a greater sum of different parts each catered to deceiving a particular sense. So it would need an anchor point, a frame to spread the roots of each individual illusion. If we can find the frame, we can unravel the illusion, even if it's not the whole of it, at least a part of it should be able to help us get out of here…."

"Or we could just pull this nifty look lever here and see what it does?" Rezar suggested as he held on to a lever hanging over his head. if all of the things he has seen in old school movies were true, then the moment he pulled this lever shit was going to hit the fan, but then again this was Elysium, who's to say anything bad was going to happen.

"Don't do it Your Majesty! Nooooo!" Kitagawa's shout of warning fell on deaf ears as Rezar pulled the Lever, causing the entire chamber to rumble like the apocalypse had come to play. The water that was now above the knees bubbled and roiled like it was being boiled as parts of the wall broke off and fell around them and into the pool of acid with a splash.
Rezar stood there with a calm expression, just watching the chaos around him, waiting to see how it would end. Kitagawa, Lenore and Samira had huddle together, their breaths held as they waited for the worst. But just as quickly as it started the entire shaking stopped and a door opened up on the bottom of the chamber.

It was strange to say the least, the moment the door opened, it almost seemed as if the chamber flipped itself. A small wave of vertigo and dizziness, Rezar and his team found themselves in a tunnel, or rather the chamber seemed to have fallen down or had its gravity changed. So now instead of the door being beneath them it was right in front of them.

The door was opened, but they couldn't see what was beyond as all it released was bright light, Rezar looked at Kitagawa and shrugged his shoulders before marching to the entrance with a smug look on his face. The leader of the Sons of Dawn King's Guard Division felt incredibly annoyed by the king he served, it wasn't necessary for Rezar to look so smug about it.
But then again who could blame him, it was all Kitagawa's fault for choosing to serve a king that was still a bloody teenager. Scenarios and situations like this would probably become the norm of his future, but then again what could he do about it, he was stuck with him.

"Well then subjects! Onwards and upwards I guess. This place is beginning to piss me off." Rezar said as he walked through the doorway, with his three companions following behind him with an exasperated look on their face, sometimes he was just a little too much. But just like Kitagawa had come to realize there wasn't really much they could do about this…. he was the king after all, they were STUCK!


Some time in the future Humanity conquers death! life continues, on and on in the endless stretches of a virtual paradise called Elysium. or at least that's what the Brochures used to stay.

 Elysium was no different from Earth, the only difference is that with each new reincarnation, you get a chance to live differently, better, and a chance to achieve more with pieces of your memories from your old life intact. 

But Elysium needs balance, why? no one really knows. but to keep that balance the death classes were created, and any who comes to posses such class or the traits that come with it; gains the ability to deliver the (True Death) a fitting end to immortality and endless life. and as such people with these classes are feared and hated. 

Now Rezar is spawned in a prison mine to serve a sentence of all eternity and all reincarnations as a slave. and all for a crime he doesn't remember commiting but knows that he did, now forced to live based on consequences from a life he also doesn't remember. but he tries to look at the bright side, there's much to achieve........the only downside would be the fear people have for him, after all.........who would want to shake hands with the Son Of Death.

    First of all, I want to thank all my readers. This is not a long story, but this is the first book I wrote. Some parts of this book are based on the true events; I might rewrite them, but behind everything, there's a story. Special thanks to Lena, Sophie, and Angel. They're my best friends in college.     The milk in the bathtub means the moment that a pure girl turns into a woman, a selfish one, just like Hedda. Before she blacked out, she was a girl that is afraid of what was going to happen to her. Ellie is a virgin so she has actually experienced a new thing that she had never done before.
