Alynna's steps were heavy.  She looked at Stella who was happily skip-hopping beside her as she held her hand.  Stella let go of her mother's hand and ran all the way upstairs.  She waited at the top of the stairs with her hands on her waist, as if she had done something triumphant.  She couldn't wait for her mother to get there so she could try to beat her to the bedroom again.

Alynna looked back to where the kitchen was, where Josh was.  She half-heartedly wished he would be behind her, following them upstairs but she knew he wouldn't be.  She looked at Stella who was now wriggling her hips, waiting excitedly for her mother.  Alynna slowly climbed the stairs.

As soon as Alynna got to the top of the stairs, Stella ran again as she had planned, beating her mother to the bedroom.  She went to the bathroom and turned on the shower.  Alynna quickly followed Stella and turned off the shower.

"No, dear, not like that.  The water's too cold.  Here, let me do it."  Alynna adjusted the temperature from the water heater.  She tested the water and when she thought it was okay, she called Stella and bathed her.

Stella loved showering at night. It was her favorite bedtime routine.  Cleaning up and brushing her teeth meant a story would follow afterwards.  She giggled at the bubbles foaming at her hair.  And when Alynna turned on the shower, she excitedly watched the bubbles gather at her feet before going down the drain.

Alynna toweled Stella dry.  She then brushed Stella's hair. 

"How time flies." She thought.  "Has it been three years?"

Stella brushed her teeth while Alynna prepared to shower herself.  She went in the shower and turned it on.  The warm water touched her bare skin.  She imagined all the dirt flowing down the drain, off her skin.  She looked at her body.  She saw some bruises and inspected them.  She always tried to remember how many bruises were on her body every time she showered.

"Alynna," Josh called from outside the bedroom.

"Yeah?" Shouted Alynna from the bathroom. "Wait, I'm almost done." She quickly soaped her body and shampooed her hair without turning off the shower.  Then she dried herself and put a robe on.

Josh was standing outside the bedroom with Stella when Alynna got out of the shower.

Josh thought she looked beautiful, her cheeks flushed from the bathing. Embarrassed, he quickly looked away.

"I was just gonna say the dishes are in the washer, and I'm done with the rest.  Would you like me to do anything else?" Josh said as he stroked Stella's damp hair.

"No, it's okay.  You can rest now.  I know how tired you are from working all day." 

"I'll rest as soon as I'm done with the dishes." He glanced at her, ever so quickly and then went down back to the kitchen.

Alynna put on her night gown and began blow drying her hair.  After that, she tucked Stella in and read her a story.  

Stella loved bedtime stories.  She would choose three books for her mother to read to her but sometimes, when her mother is too tired, they would only read one story and then it's sleeping time.

"Just one story for tonight, okay?" Alynna said as she picked the shortest story from Stella's choices of books for the night.

"Can it be two books, Mommy?" Stella asked, hopeful her mom would agree.

"Sorry, honey, not tonight. Tomorrow, okay?" Alynna smiled. She hated declining Stella's requests but for tonight she had to.  She and Josh needed to talk.

Alynna opened the book and started reading to Stella. The book was about a girl waiting for her mother to pick her up from school.  Her mother was late in picking her up and the girl started imagining all sorts of things that happened to her mother, like she was taken by eagles or snatched by dinosaurs.  Or maybe her mom road a turtle on the way to school because their car broke down.  But in the end, the mom finally came and when the girl asked why she was late, her mom told her that the car ran out of gasoline and she had to take a cab.

Stella loved that story.  She can't wait to go to school. And she would always make Alynna promise that she would never be late in picking her up from school. And Alynna would always promise that she would be there before class is dismissed.  Stella would smile and then go to sleep peacefully.

Alynna kissed Stella's forehead and tucked her in.  She turned off the lights but Stella's scared of the dark so she left her unicorn nightlight on.  She slowly walked out of the room and softly closed the door.

Alynna walked down the stairs and saw Josh putting the clean dishes in the cabinet.  Josh looked tired.  He turned around when he heard Alynna walk in the kitchen.

"I thought you're already sleeping?" Josh asked as he wiped a plate dry and placed it in the cabinet.

"Can we talk?"

"Is Stella asleep?" Josh asked again, purposely ignoring what Alynna last said.

"Yes, she is.  Can we talk?"

Josh took a deep breath and let the air out through his nose. It looks like he won't be able to dodge Alynna tonight.

"What is it? What's on your mind?" Josh said as he turned towards Alynna.  He saw that she was already wearing her nightgown, her frail body silhouetted underneath the thin fabric.  Her long wavy hair gathered on one side of her shoulders. She lost a lot of weight since the accident but her beauty is still evident.

"I just want to talk about us, Josh."

"What about us?"

"I mean, where are we headed?"

"I don't think it's the right time to talk about that, Alynna."

"When is the right time, Josh? Tell me.  And I will wait until then."  Alynna pulled out a chair from the dining table and sat down. Josh knelt in front of her, his hands on her knees.

"When you're okay. When the doctor says you've fully recovered, then we can talk about anything you want."

Alynna eyed Josh, studying him. She hurt so much she wanted to cry but Josh hated seeing her cry and would reprimand her saying she should be strong — not only for herself but for Stella.

She wanted to tell Josh how much she longed for him but Josh became emotionally distant since the accident.  He was physically with them but his soul is somewhere else.

"Do you love me, Josh?" Alynna boldly asked.

"Of course I do. I love you and Stella."

"I didn't ask you if you love me and Stella.  I asked you if you love me, Josh. ME."

"Frankly, I wish you would just stop asking me that constantly." Josh stood up. "I'm here with you and with Stella.  If that doesn't make you think that I love you, then I really don't think I can say or do anything that would convince you.  I'm here and that's what's important, right?"

"If you say so, Josh. If you say so, then I believe you." Alynna slowly stood from that chair.  She bit her tongue to keep herself from saying anything she might regret later.  She was about to walk away but Josh hugged her. 

"Please stop worrying yourself.  It's not doing any good for you." Josh said as he let go of Alynna.

Alynna nodded, though deep inside her, she disagreed. 

"Goodnight, Josh." Alynna kissed Josh on the cheek.

"Have a restful sleep, Alynna." Josh said as he watched Alynna walk out of the kitchen, going back to the bedroom.  He then continued putting the dishes in the cabinet.  It was so late he thought he would fall asleep before he's finished with his chore.

Josh was laying down now, his arm over his forehead.  He had been so sleepy earlier but was now, lying wide awake as he remembered all the things that happened that day — Meeting Amanda, the confrontation with Lee, the lost documents that were later found, working late with Amanda, Alynna wanting an assurance that he loves her. 

"A lot happened today," Josh thought to himself, "but meeting Amanda was the best."  He smiled at the thought of Amanda.  He couldn't wait to see her at work next morning.  He resolved in going to work early, with the hopes of catching her walking on the street to the office building.  And since he knew where she parks her car, he thought of waiting up for her there.   He thought of what to wear for work.  He thought of a lot of things that are connected to Amanda.  He used to notice the bumps of the couch he slept on but tonight, the couch felt different — he felt different.  Something inside of him lights up every time he remembered Amanda and it made him feel different.  He turned to the side, folded one arm underneath his head and closed his eyes, wishing he would dream about Amanda that night.

Mandy's got it all. Being the lone heiress to a multinational  business, she could take life easy and just wait for her father to give her the key to the company when he retires.  But she doesn't want to take over their business.  She wants to pursue a different path.  But how could she say "no" to her dad?  He wants to prepare her for the work she will do in the future by working undercover in their own company as an Office Assistant.

Mandy tries everything to get out of the company, that is, until she meets two men - one is a fellow low-ranking employee and the other, a director.

Things get complicated when both men try to pursue her.

Will Mandy follow her dad's wishes to take over the business that he built from the ground, up? Will she ever be able to tell people who she really is?  Will Mandy be able to choose between the two men?

"Adira doesn't need to date and who are you to decide Adi's boyfriend?" Killian asks. 

"But Ren is single and lives next door" Kaelynn joins in despite Kaena telling her not to.

I look at Ren to see how he feels about all this and just as I thought- 

Blushing!!!!

Why is he blushing??!

I nudge Killian beside me. "What's up with him?" I ask. 

Killian looks over at the blushing Ren. "Who knows? Read his mind" Killian suggests. 

"I respect privacy" I retort. 

"You respect privacy? Huh? That's new" Killian says not believing. 

"Okay. I promised Oreo that I won't read anyone's mind unless I have to" I admit under Killian suspicious gaze. 

"That's more like it" Killian says before changing the topic to the assassin leader board. Killian pulls out his phone and connects it to the TV. 

"6th place is someone called Dreamy" I point at the white masked person on the TV. "Everyone knows that Dreamy is always in white clothes and has covered it's face. Weapon: whip with hidden blades. Ability: light element so the person is an Angel. Gender: unknown. Family: unknown. Height: unknown" I sum up. 

"How do people know what she wears and he weapon?" Ren asks. 

I stop myself from facepalming at the second part of his question. "Torn pieces of her clothes has been found at the scene. The victim's who fall under Dreamy has all had rope marks around their necks and arms but upon closer look they found small blade wounds" I answer. 

"Okay" Ren nods in understanding. 

"Okay. 5th place is a male named Timberwolf" The picture changes to a blue male at 6'1 feet tall. "Is always wearing something blue and also has covered his face. Weapon: has recently changed to a metal boomerang. Ability: can shapeshift into a wolf so is clearly a wolf. Gender: male. Family: unknown. Height: 6'1 feet" I say. "Unlike Dreamy he shows up for meetings and selections." 

"Okay" 

The picture changes to show a woman in green. "4th place is Flaura. Wears green and covers her face. Weapon: mace. Abilty: Wood witch which can control both earth and animals. Gender: female. Family: unknown. Height: 5'9 feet. Like Timberwolf shows up for meetings and selections." 

"So there is currently a male and female and an unknown?" Ren asks. 

"Yes" Killian snaps. 

"3rd place is Kendro. Wears black and also covers it's face. Weapon: Flail. Ability: is a Demon so has shadow, hell fire and portals. Gender unknown. Family: unknown. Height: unknown. Like Dreamy is only known from what's at the scene." 

"Oh how I love him" Killian sits back on the couch looking relaxed.

I scoff before continuing explaining. "2nd is Long. Wears red and covers his face. Weapon: sword. Ability: shield and elements. Gender: male although some claim that he's female. Family: unknown. Height: 5'11. Appears quite often for higher ups meetings." The image changes to a completely black shadow with a 1 over it's head. "And in 1st place is Dark Phoenix. What it wears is unknown. Weapon: are mainly daggers. Ability: unknown. Gender: unknown. Family: unknown. Height: unknown. No one has a faintest idea who or what this person is but since 7 and a half years ago has been ranking 1st." I explain with a bit of proudness in my voice. 

"So 3 hide in the dark while 3 are in the light?" Ren asks. 

"Yup" Killian responds. 

"Do you think it's by choice or are they forced?" Ren asks curiously.

"Choice" Killian and I answer confidently in unison. 

"How are you so confident that it's by choice?" Ren asks. 

A mysterious smile blooms acroos Killian and my faces. "Because we choose to be in the dark" we answer in the same teasing and yet mysterious voice. 

"Huh?" Ren doesn't get it. 

"3rd place Kendro" Killian raises his nose proudly. 

"1st place Dark Phoenix" I imitate Killian's pose. 

"So when you said that you're top assassin you weren't kidding?" 

"I was telling the truth" 

"Wow so I have an Ultimate master teaching me" Ren says in amazement. 

"What about me"? Killian asks. 

"You're 3rd not 1st" I snap at him. 

"But still he should be grateful that the KENDROS is sitting in front of him. Eldest son of Hell's highest ranked knight." Killian whines not sounding like a noble at all. 

"You should remember he's still considered a child to us" I point out. 

"You're right" Killian agrees. 

"What do you mean child?" Ren asks temper flaring. 

"Well when you're next to anyone in this house you're considered a child" I answer truthfully. 

"Shouldn't you place me above the children?" 

"No the children has powers and which you don't so even the baby twins are placed above you" Killian explains. 

"But I'm older" Ren whines. 

"Have you seen the house caught fire?" I ask him.

"No" 

"That's because at the early age of 1 a set of twins have managed to control their magic" 

"Now that you've said that I have to agree that they're placed above me" Ren says in disappointment. 

"Don't worry. Although you can't be stronger than Demon children you're above average in normal human" Killian pats his shoulder. 

"Really?" Ren asks with new hope in his eyes. 

"Unfortunately" I mumble. My eyes widen when I see the time. "Look at the time. Bye Ren see you tomorrow at school. Goodnight Killian" I walk to my room and pull out a sketch book and coloured pens. "I can just feel it happening" I whisper under my breath. I see Asra and Thunder looking at me. "Goodnight" I climb up to my loft and place the sketch book and pens beside my pillows. I lie on my back and soon fall into a deep sleep.

Dream,

I stand looking at the huge grass fields surrounded by the thick forest. A gunshot rings out and I hear footsteps in the forest behind me running in our direction. I turn and grab the hand of a black smoke in the shape of a person but I can't figure out who it is. I start to pull it across the grass field away from the footsteps behind us. 

I look behind to spot a group of black shadows but suddenly one morphs to Daniel. My eyes widen in horror when I see a brown wolf and many people with guns come out of the woods. I turn to face forward and race to the other side but the other side never comes. 

Screams echo in my ears before they start to ring blocking everything out. I'm thrown backwards. I touch my ears and pull my hand back to find-

Blood!!

There's blood coming out from my ears. I feel something wet and warm run down my cheeks and chin. I touch the liquid to see that it's also blood. I have a sick feeling in my gut. I look around to see blood everywhere. A few feet away from me is a black arm of which has torn from it's body. I swivel my head to see Daniel laying on the ground clutching his stomach from the impact but nothing else is hurt. I then check some people before looking at the forest.

My heart sinks. 

The wolf and the men are there with shocked faces in which they soon snap back to reality. My eyes meet with the huge 15 foot wolf. I slowly and weakly stand up in which I regret. My head starts spinning but then something warm runs through my blood and I stand straight with cold eyes. 

'You have to survive' I hear a voice in my head whisper.

I look at the people with determination to get us out of here. I step back and release a horrendous scream. Some of the enemy drop to the floor ears, mouth and eyes bleeding.

"Ahhhhhhh!" I scream. I jolt awake on my bed. 

"It's alright here take this" Killian voice sounds from the dark. 

He hands me something in which I take. My hands open the sketch book and pulls out a coloured pen. And then like a mind of it's own the pen starts to slide across the page. It changes colours when it needs to and in seconds there are 5 pages filled with what happened in my dream. 

Killian gasps when he holds the book into the light. "A vision" He gaps like a goldfish at the pages before turning to me and which I have already fell deep asleep. "You truly are a wonder Adira" Killian says with so much brotherly love, proudness and admiration.

Mistakes will be made both as an author and in the book. Along with; revenge, schemes, friendship, betrayal and love. 

Eh? Love? Nah-ah. 

Adira Yukimura is cold when in front of people she doesn't know or hate. Well it's either that or she's in a playful mood and will anger you to death. Either way stand in her way and you will bear the consequences. 

She is sent to a high school for the very first in her life (she is not happy about it). She meets a lot of different people. Some are old friends and enemies, some are new. 

Adira faces a lot of things during a span of one year, a year that will forever be on her and her friends minds. 

Will everything work out? Will Adira survive and protect the people she loves or will she die trying? 

(Adira has a large family which majority is men not to mention that she has loads of brothers hence her being closer to males than females)

There will be some scenes that include murder or can make some feel uncomfortable so if you are one I wouldn't suggest you read this book

This is my first novel so please forgive me for mistakes. This will also be in first person (I, me, my) but there will be a reason. Find out at the end.

I hated my first day of kindergarten. I was wearing what my mom thought was the definition of kindergarten chic...a white dress with neon blue bows at the hemline, which only went to my knees. 

I wanted to wear my usual jeans and a t-shirt with a pun phrase on the cover which back then I only saw as colorful designs. But no, instead my mom got me a whole new wardrobe of frilly dresses and glitzy accessories.

Needless to say, I wasn't happy. I was even unhappier when my mom kissed me goodbye after dropping me off. I didn't care who saw...I wailed. The kindergarten teacher looked distraught as the tears kept on coming. I remember her saying things like, 'We're going to have so much fun!' or 'Do you want to color!' Nothing helped until my mom got down on one knee and pulled me in for a hug.

She whispered, "Don't cry, baby. You look beautiful and you're going to make some amazing friends here." After she broke from the hug, she held my hands in hers. "Who's my fierce firecracker?"

"Me?" I answered weakly. 

"That's right!" she answered enthusiastically before waving good-bye to me again.

Before I could start crying again, my kindergarten teacher placed a box of crayons in my hands and steered me to a table filled with other little girls. There was only one seat left. I sat down and said, "Hello!" 

"Hi cryer" said the most beautiful girl I ever saw. With grey blue eyes and sun kissed blonde hair. 

"My name is Kat," I replied. "I'm not gonna cry anymore."

Another girl at the table with frizzy Brown hair and a smattering of freckles said, "Good, but you should find another table to sit at." I was about to ask her why when she said, "My momma said I'm not supposed to talk with black people."

"I'm not black. I'm American," I answered with unwavering confidence. "My mom isn't from America. She's from Columbus." Back then I didn't know how to say Colombia. Or, my whole first name for that matter.

The girl with frizzy Brown hair said, "Well whatever your name is, get away from us."

I didn't know how to react. I was shocked but still in my seat. Till a boy that was playing with dinosaurs ran too close to our table and knocked me off of my chair. "Watch it!" he yelled at me as he picked up the plastic dinosaurs from the floor.

"I'm sorry," I replied as I handed him a dinosaur. He didn't grab the one I was holding.

"Hmm?" I asked as I waved the plastic dinosaur I was still holding in front of him. He took a step away from me in disgust. "You can keep it. I don't want to catch your cooties."

"What's that?"

"An illness girls can give to boys by touch. It's deadly." That's when I noticed the girls and boys sat separately from each other. So, I knew whatever this boy just told me must be true. 

Which is why I ran to my cubby to look for the thin gloves my mom got me. They were unnecessary in the state of Arizona but my mom still insisted on thin gloves and a sweater just in case. I slipped on my gloves and held the dinosaur once more as I ran to the boy who was so informed about the cooties. 

He was talking with another boy who asked him if he could play with the dinosaurs too. The boy with all of the plastic dinosaurs shook his head. "I don't need you. I'm fine on my own. Now git!"

"Um, hello," I said as I handed the dinosaur to the boy who claimed all of the plastic dinosaurs in our kindergarten class as his. "Here you go." I again, held out the plastic dinosaur with my gloved hands.

The boy looked at my hands cautiously. "You sure that will be enough not to spread the cooties?"

"I think so," I replied. It was good enough for him as he snatched the dinosaur away. 

I was going towards the table with the girls again, when I noticed another girl was in my seat, coloring from the book I was just coloring in. "Aren't you going to go back to your friends?" dinosaur boy asked me. 

"I don't know," I replied. Then, I had an amazing idea. I was going to ask dinosaur boy my question since he seemed more informed about the world than me. "I have a question."

"Shoot." he replied as he sat on the floor and started arranging the plastic dinosaurs in a certain way. Then, he looked up at me from his project. "That means go 'head and ask."

"Do I look black to you?"

He pondered this for a moment before doling out his professional opinion. "No. You look tan. Who said you looked black?"

I pointed at the table where I was sitting. "One of them said she could not talk with me because I'm black." 

"Really....remember who?" he asked me as he arranged his dinosaurs seemingly disinterested in our conversation. 

"That one with frizzy Brown hair," I replied as I gestured a hand to the table again.

"Follow me," he said as he stood up from his dinosaur project. Before he moved completely away he cupped his hands in front of his mouth as he hollered, "I still have dibs on the dinos!!!!!"

I followed him as he made a beeline towards the teacher...until he stopped. He turned to me to say, "Looks like our teacher is still busy. Let's go find the Prince." Our teacher was very busy trying to reassure some clingy-looking parents. He grabbed my hand that still had gloves on them and pulled open the classroom door. Our teacher didn't even notice our departure.

"Is it alright to leave?"

"Sure it is," he replied with a flippant wave of his free hand. "In pre-school I left the room all of the time! Now, where would the Prince's office be?"

"You don't know?" I asked with shock.

As another adult walked down the hall he whispered, "Just let me do the talking." 

I nodded in understanding as I let dinosaur boy handle this situation...whatever it was. He smiled as he asked a lady teacher (who turned out to be a sub) of another class, "Hello! We're looking for the Prince's office."

She raised her eyebrows for a moment until realization dawned on her face. "Oh. You mean the Principal's office? Let me show you, honey."


Without complaint or questions, we were led to the Principal's office. The sub teacher told the Principal he had some visitors and we both entered his office after that.

This principal with blue black skin and a wearer of cartoon neckties would come to know us both throughout our elementary education: for good and bad reasons. "Hello, how can I help you?" he asked us.

"This girl named..." he looked at me questioningly.

"Kat."

"This girl named Kat spoke with a girl who told her she can't speak with black people when Kat is clearly tan. Right?"

"Yes," I replied. 

The Principal raised both of his eyebrows as he looked at me and asked, "Do you remember who told you this?"

"I don't know her name, but..."

"She's the only girl in our class with sticky-outy Brown hair. I can point her out if you need me to!"

"I'm sure that won't be necessary, Mister...?"

"My name's Kit, sir."

"Well, let's go find your classroom." That day the girl with frizzy Brown hair left school earlier than the rest of us. Her parents weren't happy to see her. Even though there was an empty seat at the table I sat at before, I didn't take it. 

Instead, I sat down on the ground next to Kit as he was playing with his dinosaurs, and he even let me name a few of them. He had sun kissed blonde hair just like the girl with blue grey eyes. Except, his eyes were a piercing dark brown that looked into your soul.

He was the only friend I made that day. His turned out to be the only friendship that mattered.

About two friends who meet in a surprising way as well as dealing with societal boundaries in their own way. It's the first part of the story. There's currently 33 parts of 'Kit and Kat'.

"Knock...Knock...Young master your dad and mom has arrived."Nanny Lay said.
"Okay...I'm going..."Rein said.
"Creak..."The chair sounds after moving.
"Housekeeper what is the dinner for this evening?"Mr. Ming said.
"Asian cuisine master as you requested."She said.
"Step...step...Good evening Dad and Mom..."Rein said and he sit to the dining table too.
"The housekeeper said you're looking for us why?"Mrs. Ming said.
"Do you have something that you need to tell us?"Mr. Ming said.
"Yes...but let's eat first."Rein said.
"Okay?"They said.
"Housekeeper, serve the dishes."Mrs. Ming said the housekeeper nods and the nannies bring their foods.
"Son, you don't like the food why you're not eating?"Mrs. Ming said.
"Are you full or what?"Mr. Ming said.
"I'm okay mom, dad...I ate before I heading at home I went to Uncle Herbert Karaoke bar.
"Why do you go there?"Mr. Ming said.
"I brought my friends there and we have fun."Rein said.
"Did your uncle tell you something?"Mr. Ming said.
"Why dad is there something that I need to know?"He aid and his Dad and Mom stunned.
"Ah...eh...nothing important son don't mind your dad."Mrs. Ming said.
Rein is upset and he can't control his feeling so he said "NOTHING IMPORTANT?" out loud.
"Are you shouting on us?"Mr. Ming said at angry tone.
"Housekeeper and nannies you may go to your area."Mrs. Ming said and they left the Ming's.
"Uncle told me that you arrange my marriage."Rein said on high pitch.
"Son...don't be mad were just doing this for your own good."Mrs. Ming said.
Rein stands up and he said "Huh! My own good? Or for your business matter."He said.
Mr. Ming slaps Rein and Mrs. Ming holds and she said "Honey, that's enough..."
"That's why he is not discipline because you always spoiled this brat."Mr. Ming said.
"Brat? Spoiled? Why dad does you ever noticed me as your child or as your servant?"
Mr. Ming is about to hit him but Mrs. Ming block him "Go, dad hurt me if you want."Rein said.
"Honey...please."Mrs. Ming said and she cried.
"I'm tired I'm going to sleep goodnight mom."Rein said and he walked away.
"Hey...I'm not done with you."Mr. Ming said.
Mrs. Ming holds him "Let him be talk to him when you both are cold headed." She said.
"Sigh...Honey, sorry I didn't control my temper."Mr. Ming said.
"It's okay as long as you two are fine but please talking to your younger brother about this."Mrs. Ming said.
"Yes...that Herbert idiot."He said.
	Next day morning,
Mr. and Mrs. Ming are having a breakfast but Rein is not with them "Housekeeper, Is Rein awake?"Mrs. Ming said.
"Ah...eh..."She said.
"What? Are you mute?"Mr. Ming said.
"No...Master but young master left so early before you two awake."Housekeeper said.
"Huh? But its 6:30 in the morning and his class starts 7:30 am."Mrs. Ming said.
"Did your young master tell you something?"Mr. Ming said.
"Ah...eh...Young master said he needs to do something."Housekeeper said.
"Okay...you may go."Mrs. Ming said.
"Thank you Madam."She said.
"I think our son is avoiding us I told you to not arrange his marriage Rein still young."Mrs. Ming said.
"I know...but its better he knows it than it's late so he can be matured enough when the wedding day comes."Mr. Ming said.
"Sigh...but how about he doesn't like the girl?"Mrs. Ming said.
"Well, he must like her whether he like it or not."
"What if the girl is the one who didn't like our son? What will happen?"
"Our son is bastard but he is charming and likable I think she'll like him.
"Sigh...whatever Mr. Ming."
	At the National Library in Chua City,
"Good Morning Sir."Receptionist said.
"Morning Missy I want to read some books here can I?"Rein said.
"Yes Sir even though your too early but It's okay you're not the only one who is early today."She said.
"Thank you where do I write my name?"He said.
The receptionist gave the log book to him "Here Sir."
Rein is about to write his name but he saw the number one person is Mica and he write his name after her "Miss? Is she still here the number one on your log book?"He said.
"Yes she is..."
"Okay thank you miss I'm going to read books now."He walked away 
"Okay? Why is he so excited?"She said after 
Rein is looking for Mica and when he saw her he walks faster and he said "Hi Miss can I sit here?"
Mica rise her head and she surprised that Rein is there too "Huh?Why? you....here?"
Rein sit beside her "Why not? I can't be here?"
"Huh? No...Do as you please."
"What are you reading?"
"Of course math book were taking exam later."
"So, you want to compete in Math quiz bee too?"
"Not really I just want to take the exam made by Sophie and Lance."
"I see..."
"How about you I think this is your firstime to come here."
"How did you know?"
"Don't be silly you're in the library but you are not holding any books with you?"
"Pfft....hahahaha...yes...I forgot because I saw you...blush...."
"Shhh...Quiet, look at the sign board KEEP SILENCE."
"Okay but were the only people here so I don't care."

Rein start reading the book but he stealing a glimpse on Mica and she noticed him "Hey..."She said.
Dumbfounded, Huh? You call me?"
"Are you fooling me I know you're up to something spill the beans."
"Hmmm...You know me well."
"Come on speak..."
"Ah...Eh...are you okay about yesterday?"
"Uhm...Yes I'm fine now but tell your Uncle he is bastard."
"Pfft...hahaha...It's okay I avenge you yesterday I think now he is doomed."
	At the same time,
"Hey, you bastard..."Mr. Ming said to Uncle Herby.
Herby didn't saw Mr. Ming and he said "You f**k off or..."He turns around and he saw Mr. Ming.
"Or what? Say it..."Mr. Ming.
Dumbfounded, "B...brother?"
"What now?"
"Trembling...b...brother come in and seat."He said Mr. Ming to his chair at the office.
"Brother what can I do for you? You want something?"Herby said.
"No...I came here because of you bastard."
Herby holds Mr. Ming legs like an idiot "Boohoo...brother sorry for telling Rein about his arranged marriage."
"Let go of me are you a kid?"
"But brother..."
"If you not let go of me I closed my deal with you I won't branch out your karaoke bar in other city."
Herby stands up abruptly and sits on the chair in front of Mr. Ming "Brother, No..."
"We'll see if you behave yourself."
"Okay brother..."He said he looks like a dog that wants to play fetch when he said that.
"So, do you have any information about the Ling's daughter?"
"Yes...brother and I think my nephew likes her."
"How...how...did you know that?"

I woke up feeling a bit energised. It looks like a whole day of boring class can be tiring too.

I tidy myself a bit with cleaning charm then exited my room. I cast tempus and its three minutes before the dinner starts. 

I walk out to the common room and see that no one is in here. It looks like they are in the Great hall now.

I make my way to the great hall with a single thought in mind, Food. I entered the Great hall and become startled. They are all looking at me, whispering with each other. 

I pay no heed to them and made way to the Ravenclaws table. I seated in the first year seat and get myself some meat and veggies. I eat silently and feel that they are still looking at me.

I looked to my right and asked. "What?".

"Where were you? we didn't saw you at the library." Anthony Goldstein asked.

"I am in my room, taking a sleep. Why? did something happened?" I asked with a confused look while eating my food.

"Did you see that?, look." Lisa said, pointing at the top of the Great hall where the scores are shown.

I looked and I see that the Ravenclaws have a total of 100 points while the others just have 10, 15, 25. I look at her and asked. "So, what am I looking?" 

"Did you see that score? Almost all of it is yours, and its just the first day. The whole school are asking everywhere how our score is that big. Some Hufflepuff know that you are the reason in our score. They spread it in the whole school and all of them are looking for you." She said without stopping. The first year around us is just nodding at her every word.

"So? What's the problem?" I asked while drinking apple juice.

"Nothing. just, sigh" she said not knowing what to say anymore.

"So did you finished your homework?" Terry said in my side, trying to change the topic.

"Yes." I said while eating a dessert.

"Can I see your potion assignment? Im not going to copy it, just for reference." He asked holding his arm together while facing me.

"Sure, here" i said, giving my potion assignment.

"Thanks" he said with a thankful  look in his face. The other first year saw it and ask if they can look at it too. I just said its okay and let them, were ravens we don't copy so Its okay for them to look.

Finished with my food, I stand in my seat and bid goodbye to my housemates and walk to the Gryffindors table.

I see harry is still friend of the pig. But not as close at the movie, he just looks like an extra. I seated in side of Harry while his other side is Neville and in Neville side is the pig. I don't want to see the pig eat or I'll puke. In my side is Hermione that is looking at me with the look that saying 'explain'.

"Hey guys, how are your first day?" I asked to Harry and Neville trying to escape the storm.

"It's okay, we got transfiguration first, we change a match stick to a real silver. The second is charms, Professor is talking about you in class, he said that you taught the class how to cast lumos and nox making everyone can cast it before the class end." Harry said, hearing harry talks about the class Neville cut what he is saying and said "Herbology is next, Prof. Pamona is so good...." he said not stopping to tell how great is Herbology, sigh typical neville. 

Cutting him is Hermione that can't take it anymore and asked. "How did you do it?" She asked looking as if she is interrogating me.

"What?" I asked looking as if I dont know what her saying.

"The score! Some Hufflepuff said its you who got that score." She said pointing at the scoring board.

"Ohh that? Just answering the teachers questions" i said to her with a smile.

"No, it can't be, I answered the teachers questions too but I didn't even get a half of what you get" she said looking at me with not convinced expression.

"Well, how did you answered their questions?" I asked to her.

"Of course by telling them what written in the book." She said looking confuse to my question.

"That's why, I answered their questions with my own word and understanding. Books are just for reference, not for everything. In making assignments if you copy what the book states, the only grades that you will get is EE or A." I said to her. Hearing what I said, she seems contemplating what to do.

"Im going to give you an advice. Reading books is okay, just don't frequently and just make it a reference not everything. Study the magic with your own, you don't know what the mystery it holds that is nothing in the books." I said patting her head with a smile.

She seems look enlightened to what I said, she gives me a smile and a confident nod that saying I will surpass your score. I just gives him a challenging smirk.

Continuing to talk to them for some light topics like the teachers. I didn't forgot to tell Harry to read the potion book. He seems confuse first but seeing me serious, he accepted it.

When the Dinner is finished, all of us got back to common room. I joined my house in leaving. When we entered the common room, all of my year mates continued their homework while the higher years are reading, for seventh year the Newts while the third for the OWLs.

I said goodbye to them and goodnight saying I'm going to sleep first, which I'm not going to do. I plan to go to the Forbidden Forest and explore it to see if I can invite some Centaurs and other beasts to my world. I will also look for some plants that I still dont have.

I apparated to the entrance of the Forbidden Forest with the Elves apparation that can enter and leave any wards. I checked if anyone saw me and seeing that no one see's me, I entered the forest activating my invisibility ring.

What will you do if you can see the fate of others, will you change it? or just let them suffer because they can’t control their own fate because of others..

"Andrea, your turn...".

She rolls the dice.

"Six! Yes!" she mutters under her breath as she moves her figure on the game board.

"It is your turn, James..." Andrea says as she hands him over the dice.

"Okay... wish me luck!". 

He tumbles the dice in his hand before giving it a quick blow and throwing it down on the board.

His smile quickly fades as he gets a one.

"One... great!" He says sarcastically while moving his figure on the board.

I chuckle as I take the dice into my hands, I tumble it around in my hand for a few seconds before releasing it onto the board. It comes into contact with the board before slightly bouncing up and landing on one of its edges, it straight away begins spinning. It twirls for a moment or two before landing. I got five.

"Cheats..." James says as I move my figure forward.

I roll my eyes at him.

"How am I cheating, I just threw the dice..." I tell him.

It is Andrea's turn again. She tosses the dice again and this time she gets a four.

"I am almost in my den!" she exclaims as she counts how many spaces she needs to to get into her den.

"You need eight more..." James looks at the board and her figure.

"Yup, eight...".

It is now James's turn to toss the dice. He tosses it and manages to get a five.

Once he moves his figure. I realise how close his figure is to mine.

"I am coming for you, Ana..." James says teasingly as he hands me over the dice.

"Perve..." I reply, causing Andrea to giggle.

"I can come for you both this and that way, you choose..." he adds with a wink, making me blush again.

I can hear him chuckle under his breath, he probably noticed me blush...

I toss the dice but I get a one.

"Ugh, stupid dice..." I mutter under my breath.

I have only a quarter of the board left to pass to reach my den.

I pass the dice back to Andrea.

She shakes her both hands with the dice inside for a few seconds before releasing the dice onto the board.

"Yes! Six!" She says as she quickly moves her figure six spaces forward, she only has two more spaces to go to get into her den. How does she do this!? Andrea is the master at this game. I don't know if it is just her luck, but she almost always gets the highs...

"Your turn, horny boy..." Andrea teases him.

He just chuckles, taking the dice our of her hand.

He tosses the dice, finally getting a six himself!

"Finally!" he cheers, raising his fist in the air.

"I am right behind you... You better watch out..." he whispers to me.

I chuckle and roll my eyes before getting the dice. I toss the dice, but I only get a two.

"Better hope I won't eat you..." I hear him, he ends with a chuckle.

"I thought I am the one who is meant to eat you..." I reply as I give him a dirty smirk.

"Okay, can we stop with all the sex jokes... I want to finish this game..." Andrea says, rolling her eyes.

"We will try, but we can't promise..." James replies.

I suddenly jump up as I felt a touch on my right thigh. James laughs at my reaction, retracting his hand.

Andrea rolls her eyes, before tossing the dice. She gets one.

"I guess it is pretty obvious who is going to win this round..." James says, getting a hold of the dice. He looks at me before handing me the dice.

"What are you doing?" I ask him.

"I'll let you play before me... Think of this as a head start...".

I chuckle.

"No, I don't need a head start, besides that it is not how you play the game...".

He just looks at me.

"Take it...".

"No... I am not going to take it...".

"Take it..." he growls under his breath.

Looks like I have no choice... I take the dice.

I shake it in my hands for a few moments before letting it out on the board. Two.

"Two..." I mutter under my breath, moving my figure two spaces forward.

He just chuckles.

He tosses the dice and gets a five. CRAP!

"Oh no, looks like my headstart didn't quite work to your favour... You are all mine now" he says, placing his figure onto mine, 'eating' my figure.

"Your turn, Andrea..." James says, handing her over the dice.

She takes them and quickly throws it, getting another one. She wins... again!

Just before she celebrates her third win, she moves her figure into the den.

"Yesss!!" she exclaims, standing up and jumping around. Both me and James chuckle as we watch her do her victory dance.

"Another round?" I ask.

James gives me a sad look before shaking his head, "sorry, I can't, I must get going now." he says before taking a deep breath, as sort of a short break. "What time is it?" he asks.

I take a glance at my wristwatch, "8:23 PM."

"Knew it..." he mutters under his breath, "I must get going, it is getting late," he adds, smiling at me.

I do feel kind of sad that he is leaving, but hey, I will see him again tomorrow though.

I see him stand up as he walks over to the door.

"Goodnight, ladies," I hear his voice as he turns around to me before giving me a wink with his sexy smirk. Of course, I blush, but just a bit.

"Goodnight, James..." I say I don't know whether he heard me or not, but I stand up too.

I walk before I speed up to a slow run as I reach the door that James is about to open.

I place my hand on his shoulder causing him to turn around to me.

"Are you okay, beautiful?" he asks me.

I nod, "yes...".

I see him tilt his head slightly as a small smile forms on his lips.

"Goodnight..." he says, raising his hands to my cheeks. I can feel him rub his thumbs on my cheeks.

I place my hands on his chest before I raise my head and place my lips on his. I can feel him instantly kiss me back. He lowers his hands to my hips as our kiss intensifies.

After what seemed like a minute, I can feel his lips slowly pull away from mine.

"Goodnight..." I tell him again before opening the door for him.

"Goodnight, beautiful". He winks at me before walking out and down the three steps. He turns around, waving at me, I wake back at him. I stay out for a few more minutes as I watch him walk away, out the gate, closing it behind him. That is when he turns to me one last time.

"See you tomorrow, my beautiful".

"I can't wait, my handsome..." I reply, feeling butterflies in my stomach.

Turning around, I walk back into the house.

"I am going to guess that you two didn't fuck each other..." Andrea says, sitting on the sofa.

"Yup, you got that right..." I answer as I take a seat beside her.

"Ohhh... You would love to see what my dad gave me..." I add as I remember the package that is in my pocket. I take out the package and show her.

"He gave you... that..." Andrea says as she is looking at the square plastic in my hand. The circle bulging out in the middle gives away what it is.

"Wanna see what I bought you?" Andrea asks you, standing up to get the bags.

"I don't have a choice... do I?" I ask her.

"You got that right...".

I chuckle at her reply.

She brings the four bags that were on the sofa opposite to us.

"Ja mislim da je slatko... (I think it is pretty cute...)" Andrea says as she takes out the long red dress from the first bag. She is not wrong.

"I znam da nemas crvene stikle, zato sam ti i to kupila (And I know that you don't have any red heels, so I bought you a pair)".

She pulls out a pair of gorgeous red high heels from the same bag. I am amazed, no... I am lucky, lucky to have such a great friend!

"I molim te nemoj da mi dajes lekciju kako ti nisu trbale stikle is ove bozanstvena haljina (Please don't give me a lecture of how you didn't need these heels or this gorgeous dress)" Andrea adds as I pick up the dress before picking up the pair of heels.

"Boze, ti si luda! (God, you are crazy!)" I tell her.

She laughs, looking into the second bag.

"Videla sam i ovo i nisam mogla da ti ne kupim. (I saw this too and I just could not not buy it)," she says, pulling out a pair of denim blue skin-tight ripped jeans.

"Znam da ti imas jedan veoma slican par, ali nisam mogla da ti nekupim jos jedan... (I know that you have a pair very similar to these, but I just could not resist..." Andrea says, handing me the jeans.

"Stvarno nisi trebala. (You didn't need to.)" I tell her as I am already in love with these.

"Dali ti se svidaju? (do you like them?)" She asks me.

"Jos i pitas... Obozavam ih (You even ask... I am in love with these)."

She smiles at me before taking out another pair, the same jeans.

"I meni su se mnogo svidele, tako da sam i za mene uzela, iste. (I liked them too, so I bought a pair for myself, they are the same as the ones I bought you)." She smiles, looking at me amused.

"Hvala ti PUNO! (Thank you SO MUCH!)" I exclaim, as I wrap my arms around her.

"I zadnja kesa je za tvog i mog, (and the last bag is for your and my boyfriend)" She tells me as she places a creme coloured jumper and dark blue denim jeans in an empty bag, before handing me over the bag.

"Ako hoces da vidis i ovu kesu pa biraj... (if you want to take a quick look at this bag too and then choose...)," Andrea tells me as hands me the second bag onto my lap.

"Ti si luda Andrea, au... (You are crazy Andrea, gee...)" I reply before taking a look in the bag. I see that the jumper is black to dark grey colour, while the jeans are a lighter blue.

"Meni je svejedno (I do not mind," I tell her.

"Onda cu ja... ove... (Then I will take... these...)" she takes the darker jumper, lighter jeans.

"A kako si znala koju velicinu da mu kupis, sta ako mu je malo ili veliko? (How did you know what size to get him (James), what if the clothes are going to be too small or too big?".

"Lici na Darka, ima veoma slicnu strukturu kao on, (He looks like Darko, he has a very similar structure to him)" Andrea answers as she pulls out two receipts.

"Evo ti i racun, ako mu nestoj da mozes da zamenis (here is the receipt, so that you can change the clothes if they don't fit him)" Andrea adds as she stands up.

"Kad smo vec kod Darka, treban da idem. Sastanak. (While we are on the topic of Darko, I need to go. Date.)" She says, walking over to the door. I walk behind her.

"Srecno! (Good luck!)" I tell her as I hug her before opening the door for her.

"Hvala, vidimo se! (Thank you, see you!)" Andrea replies, kissing my cheek, I kiss hers. Then I see a car pulling up outside my house. The handsome hunk that Andrea showed me comes out of the car. He looks even better in person! Andrea is so lucky that she found him.

"Pozovi me ako ti nesto treba. Kao... savet (Call me if you need anything. Forlikes... advice)" I tell her, causing her to giggle.

"Vidimo se!! (See ya!)" she says one last time before speeding off towards her boyfriend.

I see her hug him, kiss him and finally giving him the bag that is in her hand. She enters the car. I see him looking up at me, giving me a smile and a small wave, I wave back at him, blushing ever so slightly.

I stay out in my courtyard until I see them speed off, that is when I enter back into my empty house, I lock the door behind me.

Immediately, I get my new clothes and place them neatly into my wardrobe before getting a new pair of undies, a clean bra and my pyjamas. I am off to have a shower.

In then minutes I come out, clean and freshened up. I go to my phone and that is when I notice that James texted me.

I open his messages.

James:
Hey beautiful, you asleep yet?

James:
Answer me whenever you can. Would you like to go out with me?

James:
Goodnight, beautiful.

He just asked me out!? Oh, God!... What do I say?

I take a deep breath. "Play it cool, Ana... He is your boyfriend after all... right?" I tell myself.

Me:
Hey, my handsome, I would love to go out with you... but where will we go? As far as I know, this is your first time in Belgrade. Haha.

I wait a few minutes, enough time for me to go to the kitchen and get myself a glass of water, chips and some other snacks. Movie night!!

I walk back into the living room. I leave my snacks and drink on the table while I quickly run to my room for a thin blanket.

I come back into the living room and I cuddle myself up with the blanket as I get the bowl that I filled with chips and other snacks. I also get me water and leave it on the ground beside me.

I take a look at my phone to see if James texted me back. Nothing.

I sigh before leaning over and grabbing the remote of the table, before logging onto Netflix.

I quickly decide that I want to watch the movie 'Notebook', that movie is for sure one of my all-time favs. I press play and make myself comfortable.

By the end, I am once again in tears. The movie never fails to make me ball my eyes out.

I make a quick bathroom break and when I come back, I refill my drink and snack.

I come back onto the sofa and I cover myself back up with the thin blanket.

I quickly check my phone to see if I got a text or a missed call. I see that James has texted me back a few minutes ago. I open his message.

James:
You may have a point... But we can decide tomorrow, can we? ;)

Me:
I guess so...

James: 
Are you okay?

Me:
Yes... I am, why are you asking?

James:
Does not look like that to me...

I get confused...

Me:
And you can see me?

James:
You know... windows are the greatest invention to this day...

A moment passes before I hear a knock on the window behind me. I turn around to a sight of him, standing in the heavy snow.

I jump up and run to the door, unlocking it and letting him in.

"Feels like a fucking blizzard outside..." he says, jumping into my warm house. He rubs his feet off the doormat and quickly closes the door behind him, before locking the door.

He takes off his shoes, jacket and cap that he has on.

I straight away greeted him with my warm kisses on his cold lips.

"I have missed you... I could not sleep, I just had to come here, to come to you".

I take hold of his hands, but I feel how cold they are.

"Come here..." I drag him over to the sofa.

"You are crazy and you are gonna catch a cold. You know that?" I tell him.

I try to remain serious, but the smirk on his face causes my lips to curve up.

"Come here..." he says.

I don't move.

"Come here, beautiful," he says again.

I still don't move, instead, I look at him amused. I am curious to see what he will do.

In a split of a second, he grabs me by my hips and pulls me towards him. I collapse and fall on the sofa, beside him. Before I could do anything, he claims my lips his. I can feel him kiss and suckle my lips before our tongues began doing their dirty dancing.

Our lips part as I scoot myself closer to him. 

"I love you so much... you know that?" I hear him whisper by my ear.

I nod, "yes... I love you too" I reply, wrapping my arms around him.

I feel him sit up for a moment, just to get the thin blanket over us.

After that, I felt his legs wrap around mine as his arms wrap around me. 

"Goodnight..." He whispers gently to me.

"Goodnight... my handsome..." I reply.

I hear him chuckle before I felt a gentle but a cold peck on my warm cheek.

I close my eyes and within seconds, I fall asleep.

"Umm, hi James, Ana here... in case if this phone number does not seem familiar to you. I just wanted to see how you are... umm... so... how are you?... I'm good if that is what you were going to ask me..." I pause before letting out a sigh. "But not as good as when I am with you..." I say, not believing how freely I just said that. "I... I miss you... very much... I can't help but wonder if you feel the same about me... if you miss me too...".

Then my mind goes blank. "I... I..." I begin, searching for a topic. "I hope you have a good stay in Belgrade... I guess me wishing that I could see you again would be a bit too much of a wish..." I end my words with a giggle.

I find myself, once again, walking around my living room.

"Anyways, that is all that I wanted to say. I wanted to see how you are and if everything is okay. I also read that letter... you have a really beautiful way with words..." I say. "But how do you know I don't like being woken up?... Actually, I don't think anybody likes being woken up, so scrap that question..." I giggle, but then I shake my head. I am taking too long. "Sorry, this message must be very long by now, so I am going to finish now... I just... I really want to see you in person again..." I then once again pause as I look down at my legs that rub my carpet.

"Anyways... that is all I have to say... see you- I mean, probably not really, but I am hoping I'll get to see you, you know...". A sigh escapes my lips. "Bye..." I say before distancing my phone from my ear and press the red button.

A few years ago:
"Hyuk Jae, what's the answer on the board?" the teacher asked him. Hyuk Jae stood up from his seat. 
"Teacher, I have a question first" he said. Chang Wook sitting behind him passed his hand across his face. He looked over at Mi Jin, she was three rows away from him and at the front, while he was close to the back. Mi Jin looked at Chang Wook, they knew what was going to happen but the teacher still fell for it. 
"Yes. What is it?" she asked. 
"I don't understand anything. Can you explain it from the beginning?" Hyuk Jae asked. The class erupted in laughter. 
"I don't even know why I bother with you" the teacher said "Hyuk Jae. Outside" all the teachers have made Hyuk Jae stand outside at least twice a week but he's not stupid. Although he isn't as good as Chang Wook or Mi Jin, he does his work and barely passes his exams, but he's not a completely lost cause. He only has interests in baseball. Though he's going to take over the family business, he wants to enjoy his youth while he still can. 
During lunch Chang Wook would often spend it in the library or watching Hyuk Jae and the others playing basketball in the gym. He was often joined in the bleachers by girls just watching Hyuk Jae. He was indeed popular. 
What he didn't know was that he was popular too. All the girls called Hyuk Jae and Chang Wook "The Dynamic Duo" while one of them was always energetic and always making jokes, the other was quiet but had an aura to him that naturally attracted people to him. 
"What are you reading today?" Hyuk Jae asked Chang Wook after the fun workout.
"Another book" Chang Wook said. 
"Well, no shit" Hyuk laughed. He sat down next to Chang Wook and on the other side of the gym, he noticed Mi Jin. She was there since the beginning, so she saw how he was embarrassingly beaten by the other team "Noooo!" he said hitting his head. Chang Wook looked at him confused. 
"What's wrong with you?" Chang Wook asked him. 
"Mi Jin was here" Hyuk Jae said. Chang Wook quickly looked up and noticed Mi Jin waving at him…at them. He waved back and so did Hyuk Jae "I wasn't cool at all" he said. 
Chang Wook looked over at the girls on his side of the bleachers They were looking at Hyuk Jae like they were looking at an idol "Don't worry, you were cool" Chang Wook reassured him. He continued reading his book when Hyuk Jae said something he wasn't expecting. 
"I'm going to confess today" Hyuk Jae said with a determined look on his face. Chang Wook dropped his book. His heart started beating at an alarmingly quick speed "You're pretty clumsy today" Hyuk Jae got up and handed Chang Wook his book back. 
"Are you sure?" Chang Wook asked him "It's the first day of class. Should you try to woo her first, then confess?" 
"Dude, if she doesn't know my feelings, then she will never see me as a guy. I will always be just a friend" Hyuk Jae walked towards Mi Jin and asked her if she could go outside with him for a minute. He needed to talk to her about something important. 
Mi Jin looked over to Chang Wook. She felt the air wasn't as friendly as before, as if he had something serious to talk with her about. She looked over at Chang Wook and noticed he had a pained expression. Did he and Hyuk Jae have an argument. She and Chang Wook locked eyes but he quickly looked back down at his book. 
The words in the book started to blur together as he bit down on his lower lip. He looked back up but Mi Jin and Hyuk Jae where no longer there.
In the back of the gym Hyuk Jae confessed his feelings for her. He liked her since the moment he saw her. Mi JIn found it kind of funny that the same way he liked her, she liked Chang Wook. She fell for Chang Wook the moment she first laid eyes on him.
Mi Jin looked down as tears started to run down her eyes. Hyuk Jae didn't know how to react. Did these tears mean she liked him too and she was happy that he confessed? Or did they mean she didn't like him at all, and he just ruined their friendship?
"You don't need to answer me right now. I just wanted to let you know about my feelings before some other guy came and snatched you away" Hyuk Jae smiled at her "I've waited for you for a long time, I don't mind waiting a little more"
Mi Jin looked up at him and without warning he planted a kiss on her cheek. He stuck his tongue out and winked at her "One thing I can promise you is that I will always stop your tears" he said. Mi Jin noticed that she had stopped crying. Although she didn't like him like that, she had to admit that what he did was kind of cool.
Inside the gym Hyuk Jae was talking to Wook like nothing happened. 
"The weather was so nice outside" Hyuk Jae said with a smile. Chang Wook was scared to ask how it went. If he asked and Hyuk Jae said Mi Jin said yes, Chang Wook knew the world would crumble under him. If Hyuk Jae said Mi Jin said no, a part of him would be happy but he'd have to console his friend, something that he couldn't do since the girl he liked was also the girl his best friend liked. 
Hyuk Jae noticed Chang Wook's gaze, he knew his friend was curious to know what happened but didn't want to intrude "She didn't say anything, so I told her I'd wait" Hyuk Jae said.
Chang Wook was relieved. Neither of the two scenarios happened "Does that mean we can all still walk home together?" Chang Wook asked. Hyuk Jae put his arm around Chang Wook's neck and started to mess his hair. 
"Who do you think I am?" Hyuk Jae asked him "I'm not that petty. She's our friend. Even if she said no, I'll still continue to like her, but I'll respect her decision but if she says yes, don't worry Chang Wook, we won't abandon you. We'll still hang out"
That's what Chang Wook was worried about. If the girl he liked said yes to the boy that liked her, he'd have to see them together, he'd have to act like he was alright when he really wasn't.  
Back at home Chang Wook was greeted by his grandmother. She knew Chang Wook well enough to understand his expressions. Right now, he wasn't happy at all and at his age, it must be girl trouble. 
"Want so apples?" Soo Ryun asked her grandson. Chang Wook shook his head and headed upstairs. She followed him with a plate of apples that she cut into little bunnies. She opened his bedroom door with all the force in the world and scared her grandson in the process. She wasn't going to let him be sad. If he was sad, he'd end up crying and if he cries he'll end up feeling sorry for himself. 
"Grandma, you almost gave me a heart attack" he said. 
"I'm the only one that gets to worry about heart attacks in this family" she told him "Wook, I want you to listen to what I have to say"
"We come across a lot of people in our lives, people that we'll end up falling in love with and they will fall for you but sometimes the universe will keep you apart because it knows that you aren't right for each other, because just around the corner there will be someone so much better waiting for you"
Chang Wook didn't understand where all of this was coming from "Are you trying to give me relationship advice?" he asked her "You don't have to worry about it grandma, I'm not dating anyone"
"Unrequited love is the worst kind of all" she said. Chang Wook widened his eyes "They say if you smoke, you'll die 30 years early, if you drink it'd be 10 but if you love someone that doesn't love you back, you'll die every day"
"Whoever the girl is, she's a fool for not liking you"
Chang Wook's grandmother left the plate of apples in his room and walked out. As night arrived there was a knock in Chang Wook's window. It was Mi Jin. 
"Do you have a minute?" she asked him. He nodded. He went out the window and sat with her on the roof. 
"Hyuk Jae confessed to me" Mi Jin said. Chang Wook nodded "What do you think I should do?" she hoped that Chang Wook would tell her he liked her or maybe that they'd have a romantic moment where she would be able to confess her feelings for him. 
"I can't answer that. To date someone or not date someone, that's your decision. No one can make it for you" Chang Wook told her. 
Mi Jin hoped that he would say something different, that he would tell her not to do it, but it was so like him to avoid messing with other people's problems. 
"Hyuk Jae is so frivolous. I can't imagine myself dating him. He's my friend but being with him 24/7 will be tiring"
"It's not like you're going to marry him, you guys will just be dating" Chang Wook told her. He felt that he just encouraged her to go out with his friend.
"But don't you date someone with the intention of marriage?" Mi Jin asked him. Chang Wook didn't think that far ahead. One thing was seeing the girl he liked go out with his best friend, but another thing was seeing them married. His heart ached just imagining it. 
Chang Wook looked down "You're already thinking of having a future with him even though you haven't even said yes?" he asked. Mi Jin wanted to see if Chang Wook would say anything, anything at all that would give her a sign that he liked her, anything, a glimmer of hope but he didn't show anything. 
She got up and chuckled "Yeah. I'm a huge overthinker" she said "Well, I'll see you at school. Goodnight" On her way home she cried. Chang Wook on the other hand went to the garage and started hitting the punching bag his dad had put up. Surprisingly it made him feel better, but not enough to make him not want to cry.

Ha Eun is the CEO at OG Group. She is famous for making everything she shows interest in a mega hit in the show-business industry but she's feared by her coworkers because of her stone cold expression and her blunt attitude. Chang Wook is her male secretary. They have worked together for 6 years and Chang Wook can't express how much he hates working for her. When Ha Eun is forced  to choose between giving up her position or getting married, she does what anyone would do...fakes an engagement with her secretary.

 Gritting their teeth in jealousy, they could only swallow their anger for now and get into their business
On the other side, After finding a place to sit, the nine people started to look through the activities listed in the book. Initially, Sia was excited to see the list of activities but then after reading few pages, Sia lost her interest and was no longer willing to look at the book so she placed the book down with a dejected look.
Seeing Sia's action, Yang Jie asked "What's the matter sister Sia? why are you not reading the book anymore?"
Shaking her hands, Sia said "There's nothing interesting in it. Everything is only about books, projects, and other things. It's like the book was specially made for Great Li"
"Great Li?" Si Ming asked in confusion
"It's Xiao Li. She is the greatest fan of books among us all" Su Yan said thoughtfully
"Woah"
Looking at Sia's dejected face, Shen Yi could not help but ask curiously "Then what kind of activities do you like?"
As soon as Sia heard his question, her eyes immediately brightened. Looking very cheerful she started to list the activities she likes "I like Bungy Jumping, sky diving, hiking, camping, treasure hunt...Blah blah blah"
Hearing the list of activities that Sia said, Shen Yi and the others lost their smile and looked at Sia in disbelief.
Looking Sia weirdly, Yang Jie asked: "Are you...really a girl?"
Glaring at him, Sia retorted "What, can't girl's do such things?"
Yang Jie: "Of course they can but it's just that.....the girls in here are too sensitive"
Realization suddenly dawned on Sia. Nodding her head she said with some understanding "That's true. I sometimes doubt whether they were from the dinosaur family?"
"Huh? Dinosaur?" the four guys asked in unison while Mu Jun looked at Sia curiously
Seeing the boys confused gaze, Su Yan explained "Because she read somewhere that dinosaurs were unreasonable, stupid and are very scared of little animals like rats and cockroaches. So she refers them to as dinosaurs"
"huh? where did you read such things?" Shen Yi asked looking at Sia with some interest
"Comics"
"Comics? and did you just believe that it's true?" Si Ming asked
"Yeah...cause it was the only book from where I read about dinosaurs" Sia replied expressionlessly
"Everything written in comics is not true, they are all fiction. Why don't you read some encyclopedia if you want to know more?" Si Ming proposed
Shaking her hand, Sia said "Nah...I don't like to read about ugly things"
"....' 'Did this girl have an 'Ugly' syndrome?'
Feeling something amiss, Lu Jin asked: "Then why did you read about it in comics?"
Looking at Lu Jin as if he was stupid, Sia said in disdain "of course it's because the dinosaurs looked cute in the comic book"
"...." 
Thinking of something again Lu Jin asked: "Then do you think all those girls who are scared of rats and ants and those who are very sensitive are also dinosaurs?"
"Hmm..." Sia nodded not noticing the wicked glance that flashed across his eyes
"Then, what if An Ran is scared of those little animals? then is An Ran also dinosaur?"
Without even blinking her eyes, Sia spoke in disdain "Are you stupid? An Ran is a sweet gentle lady. How can she not be scared of little animals? and, every human will be scared of any or the other. What? Aren't you scared of any such animal? hmm?"
"...." 'I give up. How can she be reasonable to her friends but unreasonable to strangers?'
At the end of the day, the group decided to make Xiao Li the group leader the Shen Yi and assistant group leader since the two of them were very responsible people and the others decided to cooperate well with the leaders. 
Since they had enough time, the group decided to choose their first activity to complete it by the end of the day. 
After going through the list of activities, the group found one activity that could be completed before the end of the day.
Carrying a book and a pen in their hand, the group split themself up into two groups and headed in opposite directions. 
Since they had split up earlier they completed their work way earlier than they had expected. 
After completing the activity, Shen Yi and Xiao Li made a quick report and then went to the staff room to submit the record to their homeroom teacher, and meanwhile the remaining chose to sit in the canteen and wait for the other two. 
Just when the group made their way towards the canteen they happened to meet Lucy and Li Fie. 
As soon as Lu Jin saw the two girls his face suddenly turned ugly. Just when he was about to take a turn, the latter noticed him and yelled in a sweet voice "Brother Jin"
An Ran's face turned extremely ugly when she heard the later call her ex-boyfriend so sweetly but she could not show her discomfort anywhere and could only hide it to herself.
Not noticing others' ugly expressions, Lucy and Li Fie walked towards the boys elegantly with a smile. 
Standing in front of the boys, they twisted their hips and shyly and called out "Brother Lu Jin, what a coincidence! We met here again"
When Sia heard it she rose her eyebrows and thought sarcastically 'does she think she is in China and he in India and coincidentally met each other in Nepal?"
Not in the mood to meddle in their conversation, Sia leaned on Su Yan lazily and watched the drama silently.
"Master Mu, I heard that you were in the A-class. Too bad, even I wanted to be in the same class as you but I couldn't. Don't worry, since we are in the same school we will meet often. If we have time we can spend some time together" Lucy said with a polite smile but Mu Jun did not show her any expression but instead stood there like a pole showing no moments.
"Yeah, Lucy is right. Oh by the way brother Jin I saw your ex-girlfriend in the school. Did you meet her? Uhh….how nasty. Even after knowing that you would be attending the Emperors High, she still followed in here. I'm afraid that she is up with some ill intentions. Brother Jin, you need to be careful around"

You guys were nice enough to hear me out without judging, so I'll tell you guys about all of that later. I don't think it'd be fair to Mr. Maloney if I just have him stand there for a while. I'll be right back here when I'm done, alright?".
  "Oh, sure!" Jessica says. "No problem".
  "Thanks guys... see you later, Jessica" Catherine says as she walks away. 
  "Later!" Jessica says as she waves at Catherine. 
  "So... now we're doing this?" Jackson asks. "Are we just... waiting now?".
  "I haven't seen her in ages" Jessica says, "of course I'm waiting for her!".
  "Alright" Jackson says, "fair enough".
  "Still though..." Darren says, "a half human, half laibah... Do you think she can shapeshift?".
  "No idea" Aeris says. "Which is why I'm waiting here too. I really want to know now".
  "Yeah, I must admit" Wyatt says, "I'm rather curious".
  "Mhm, me too" Emma says. 
  "You're just interested for other reasons, aren't you?" Jackson asks.
  "Hm?" Emma asks. 
  "Nothing..." Jackson replies. 

  After a long while of waiting, Catherine eventually comes back out of the main doors of the school. "I know the school isn't much" Refus says, "but do you think this is the type of school you're interested in?".
  "Yeah" Catherine says, "and sorry I couldn't bring my parents to speak with your principal today... my dad has troubles coming into the city".
  "Don't worry about it" Refus says. 
  "Oh, hey guys!" Catherine says as she looks at The Rejects. "Before I go" Catherine says as she looks back at Refus, "thanks again for everything".
  "Don't worry about it. It's no trouble at all" Refus says. As Catherine runs off towards The Rejects, Refus says to himself "A lot of students have been leaving the school lately, but it also looks like a bunch of other students are coming in next year. A lot of them are laibah, but we're also getting human students that are aware of the laibah and seemed to have no problems with them. Maybe Ryan was right... maybe the world is slowly growing out of this age of fear and embracing a new, better tomorrow. Oh that's right, speaking of Ryan...". Refus then walks back inside the school, to go to Ryan's office. 
  "So, do you like the school so far?" Jessica asks. 
  "Well... it's still a school" Catherine says. "There's still work involved and all that usual tiring stuff, but other than that I think this place is fine. Your principal is really nice too".
  "Yeah, some of the staff here are surprisingly accepting of laibah" Darren says. "The Principal is always talking about helping the laibah get a fair chance in life and all that".
  "It's a good thing this school is on the outskirts of the city" Catherine says. "Otherwise, I don't think I'd be able to go here. It would be too far away if it were in the middle of the city, as well as all the humans... oh! N-not that there's anything wrong with you guys, J-Jessica! I-I mean-".
  "Pfft- ha ha! Don't sweat it!" Jessica says. "We totally get it. Most of the humans stick to the innermost areas of the city, and I've had my fair share of getting pushed around by them too. It's not that all humans are bad, it's just that those people in specific are bad".
  "So which one is a laibah?" Aeris asks. 
  "Huh?" Catherine asks.
  "Out of your parents, I mean" Aeris says. "Which one is which?".
  "W-well" Catherine says, "my dad is a laibah, but my mom is a human".
  "What's it like?" Jessica asks. 
  "W-well... it's not anything special..." Catherine says. "My mom and dad are pretty average people. I have a little brother, and that's about it for our family".
  "Can you shapeshift?" Aeris asks. "Do halfs have that ability?".
  "I-I do..." Catherine says, "but I only have two forms... this form and my half form. I don't have a fox form".
  "Interesting..." Aeris says. 
  "Come to think of it" Jessica says, "I've never seen any laibah use their fox form".
  "You probably have" Darren says. "If you've seen a fox with a weird coloration of their fur, that was probably a laibah".
  "I've lived in the middle of the city before coming here though" Jessica says. "Almost no laibah even set foot there".
  "That's also true..." Darren says. 
  "Anyways" Catherine says, "since my mother is a human, I was born in my human form. I've also always had trouble shifting back and fourth between my two forms".
  "Do your ears or tail pop out at random?" Aeris asks.
  "No, nothing like that..." Catherine says. "Wait, is that the problem she has with her forms? Is she also a half?".
  "I-I'm not a half" Emma says. 
  "She has... a different problem" Aeris says. 
  "Well, my problem is I have to focus very hard to shift forms" Catherine says. "What troubles does she have with her forms?".
  "Emma?" Aeris asks. "It's the same reason she has purple fur and purple eyes. It's a part of her bloodline. The bloodline she came from had more than three forms, and were the dominant race of laibah a long time ago. However, she has less control over her human forms. So when she gets too nervous, excited, scared, et cetera, she'll sometimes accidentally slip into her half form. It's a survival instinct, I think".
  "More than three forms, huh?" Catherine asks as she looks at Emma. "When you have kids, will they also have more than three forms?".
  "I-I-I don't know!" Emma says. "H-how would I know that!? Why are we bringing up having kids!?".
  "Hm..." Aeris says as she brings her fist up to her chin and thinks. "That's a good question. Things such as their eye color, fur color, and abilities ARE dominant genes... but there's no way to know for sure how many of those genes could translate to a human body. Say, Wyatt, do you guys plan on ever having kids?".
  "W-WHAT!?" Wyatt panics. "I-I d-d-don't know! W-we haven't talked about anything like that!".
  "Can we not bring that up!?" Emma asks. 
  "Geez..." Aeris says, "it was a simple question. You guys need to think more logically. Anyways, if you guys make up your mind, let me know. There are a few things I want to learn about this... dominant genes subject".
  "These two are red like a couple of tomatoes..." Darren says.
  "You guys have no sense of decency" Jackson says.
  "That's rich, coming from you" Aeris says. 
  "Hey, at least I'm not the one asking two people my age to have kids for the sake of science!" Jackson says. 
  "When you break it down like that..." Emily says, "it sounds worse than it really is".
  "Jessica?" Catherine asks. 
  "Yeah, Cat?" Jessica responds. 
  "Your friends are weird" Catherine says. 
  Jessica sighs and says "I know...".

  Meanwhile, in Ryan's office. "You wanted to see me when I was done, Ryan?" Refus asks as he enters the room. 
  "Yes" Ryan says, "I wanted to make sure you knew what is going on with the board of education".
  "What do you mean?" Refus asks. 
  Ryan pauses for a moment, then says "After many of the students decision to leave, the board of education wants to shut down the school. I've told them that their decision to leave is based purely on the bias against laibah, and that shutting down a school for that reason is unjust".
  "Oh no" Refus says. 
  "You needed to see me, gramps?" Rose says as she enters.
  "Yes, I needed to talk with both of you" Ryan says. "Don't take this too lightly. I trust you two very much, which is why I'm telling you this. I stand firm in my decision to help humans and laibah indiscriminately. However, the board of education wants this school shut down for refusing to kick out the laibah. I've told them the situation at hand was caused because some of our human students are offended by the presence of laibah, and that their decision to try and hold action against us for that is unjust".
  "Oh no" Rose says. "You yelled at them again, didn't you?".
  "Wait, the board or..." Refus asks. 
  "The board of education" Rose says. "Ryan is notorious for having conflict with the board of education".
  "Preventive measures have been taken" Ryan says. "In order to prevent the board from getting away with trying to shut us down for refusing to kick out laibah students, I've proposed a bill".
  "A bill?" Refus asks. 
  "In hopes of becoming a law" Ryan says. "Currently, I'm trying to find support for this bill. Contrary to what I had expected, people have been picking up the bill rather quickly. If we can gain enough support, this bill can reach the mayor's office and hopefully be passed as a law".
  "What is the bill?" Refus asks. 
  "Simple" Ryan says, "the bill proposes that any discrimination based on difference of the two species, laibah and human, is an offense punishable by law. Long story short, we can reserve the right to kick students out for laibah raising problems against humans, and humans raising problems against humans, simply for the fact of being different from each other. If this passes, the board can't go forward with their decision to close off the school for its support of the laibah community!".
  "When's the deadline?" Rose asks. "How long do we have?".
  "Until the end of the school year" Ryan says. May 22nd, 2020 is our deadline. That's when the board will move forward with the closing of Harrison University".
  "That's not a whole lot of time" Refus says. 
  "Don't worry" Ryan says. "Even if we can't save the school, this bill will give those laibah students a fighting chance for their future still. Other schools won't be able to deny them solely for being laibah, nor will any part of the city be able to push them out for being laibah. Even if my career ends here, I want you two to lead those kids in a better school in place of me".
  "But Ryan-" Rose says. 
  "Promise me" Ryan interrupts, "that you'll do it. Those kids still deserve the future they strive for. Promise me you won't let this city take that away from them".
  "Y-Yes sir..." Refus says. However, Rose was silent for a few seconds. 
  "Alright" Rose finally says. "Fine, you stubborn old bastard...".
  Ryan smiles and says "You let me worry about handling the bill, and you two make sure these kids succeed. Deal?".
  "Deal..." Rose says. 
  After Rose and Refus leave the office, Rose says "You think it'll help if we put our names on the list of supporters for that bill?".
  "I thought Ryan said not to worry about it" Refus says. 
  "And you really think I'm going to just listen to that stubborn old man refuse the necessary help?" Rose asks. "Do I look like a joke to you?".
  Refus smiles and says "That's actually the kind of response I was hoping for".
  "So we have the same plan?" Rose asks. 
  "Yeah... yeah, I guess we do" Refus says. 
  "No chickening out now" Rose says. "If you want any amount of respect from me, you've gotta stay committed to the part".
  "I didn't plan on chickening out of it" Refus says. "Though, I am relieved I won't have to say those same words to you".
  "What do you mean?" Rose asks. "Do I look like a coward to you?".
  Refus smiles at Rose and says "No, I guess not. It's a good thing you are who you are though".
  "Now you're making less sense than Ryan" Rose says. 
  "What I mean is" Refus says, "it's a good thing you're not a coward. I always hoped to work side by side with someone who knows how to get things done".
  "By ignoring your superiors?" Rose asks with a laugh. 
  Refus laughs back and says "You said it, not me".

  "So, what do you think the next semester will start off like?" Jackson asks as he, Emma and Wyatt sit in their dorm room. 
  "What's with the sudden curiosity?" Wyatt asks. 
  "Well, I mean, a lot of stuff has happened lately" Jackson says. "Students are leaving, more people are getting interested in coming to this school in particular, then there's the club... it just seems like life is currently just... all over the place".
  "Your life, or ours?" Emma asks. 
  Jackson shrugs and says "I dunno... life in general, I guess".
  "Well, there's only one way to know for sure" Wyatt says. "We just have to wait for the next semester to start. From there, we just do what we can, take care of what we have to, and move on one day at a time".

  Emma shifts into her half form as well and says "You know, if you were polite like that more often, it'd be easier to talk to you".
  Jackson sighs and says "Yeah... guess you've got me there".
  "Goodnight, Jackson" Emma says as her and Wyatt lay down. 
  "Mhm..." Jackson responds. 
  "Rude..." Emma says. Emma then turns over in bed and says to Wyatt "Goodnight, Wyatt".
  "Goodnight, Emma" Wyatt says. 
  "Oh my god" Jackson complains, "it won't be a good night if you guys keep freakin' talking all night!".
  "Goodnight, Jackson!" Wyatt says. 
  "Shut it, Wyatt" Jackson says as he rolls back over in bed.
