"Little Miss I know you have your reason, but you shouldn't have angered the stable master" Dr. Cyan reproved the young Missus as soon as he closed the laboratory's room. He instantaneously leaned on one corner of the white walls and watched the girl as she stepped in with so much dismay and annoyance all over her face.

"But Dr. Cye, the horses cannot drink the water" Xhemin reasoned out as she gave the doctor a tight and worried glance.

"I know…" He said, and it sounded desperate and a little hesitant, a plea for Xhemin to consider this thing just this time.

Dr. Cyan understood the child's concern and to be honest he himself was dissatisfied with their current situation. Nevertheless, whatever the case maybe, the little missus was always his priority. "But I'd rather see the horses die than seeing you hurt. You are far too important than the horses"

"I wasn't hurt at all" Xhemin assured him as she did wacky things with her eyebrows— a sign of her mounting annoyance over the earlier incident. 

'What the heck is stable master's problem?' she thought.

"But you were about to!" The doctor chided on her.

"The stable master is being unreasonable…" Xhemin answered trying to pass the blame to the hostile stable master. 

Ever annoyed as she was, she turned her back against Dr. Cyan and walked further into the room. She bent over the pile of documents in her own workstation to get a stack of papers before she spied a chair and eased herself down the table "I was just asking them not to let the horses drink the water"

"But the stable master is the master of the barn" The doctor continued with a heavy head. Their situation in the mansion was getting worse than he thought, he can't help but pressed his fingers in the bridge of his nose in attempt to clear out his distress "Oh, it's rather my fault I haven't warned you about him" 

"I don't really care about him, I care about the horses" She said calmly now and offered to Dr. Cyan the stack of papers she just handpicked and scrutinized.

"Well you should. In the barns, the stable master is the law and he have a very bad temper so please don't mess up with him like that ever again. I might not be able to rescue you the next time around" Implored Dr. Cyan whose words were compounded by a deliberate sigh of helplessness. He then reached out his arms to get the papers Xhemin wanted him to see.

"But what about the horses? They should have given them milk instead of water," she blurted out. "Look at this report; I put in here precisely the things that shouldn't be given to the horses in each stages of the Staw disease. Water is one of the forbidden if the horse is at their 4th stage."

Realizing the fatality of making the horses have water, Dr. Cyan swallows through a dry throat. He was scratching the thickness of his hair on his forearm before he answered "As of this moment, we can really do nothing about this" 

 "Did you know that they brought in new horses—a very important horse?" 

"Nope. You knew we are not in the position to know that these days. Piper Xu might even take this lab room from me any moment now." Declared doctor Cyan bitterly.

 Ever since Piper Xu took over, his position as one of the veterinarians failed miserably. Not only did Dr. Xu changed his assignments and purposely withheld important notices from him, she also successfully made him feel useless under the impending circumstances.

"Well they just did, just so you know"

"And?" he stared at the girl waiting for the worst to come.

"They are all sick, if they had drunk a good amount of water this afternoon, they are all going to die tomorrow"

"Well…" He choked before he replied, in a pretend chill, brittle voice he tried to answer badly "That's bad news…I'm afraid we can do nothing for now"

"We can't let them die, specially that Black Morgan stallion"' Xhemin protested.

"Little Miss, I'm really sorry but we don't have any access to the horses now" explained the doctor apologetically.

"The black Morgan stallion belongs to the Lagdameo heir. If it dies, the lady boss is doomed!" She revealed phrasing her words carefully, hoping the information would somehow change the doctor's sentiment.

"The Lagdameo heir?" Another revelation caused the doctor's nerves go frantic.

"I just suspected it, but I'm ninety percent sure!"

"How did you know that?" In a surprise manner, he asked.

"Let's just say I have my sources. But please we need to check on that black Morgan stallion whatever it takes us"

"That's impossible Little Miss, I mean the Lagdameo heir has nothing to do with this place" 

"But this the only place where some of the horses were cured"

The doctor paused for the Little Miss was absolutely right. Even if their activities here in the mansion were all kept confidential—nothing can be kept a secret to the Lagdameo's. They must have known about the cure and made a deal to save their own breed of horses.

"Are you certain that it is a Lagdameo horse?" He asked, still with doubt on his face.

"My guts tell me so" She lied referring to her intuition when her belief about such fact had basis. She herself knew that the beast was here—and maybe was still here roaming around the property.
The doctor looked at the girls face that flaunted so much confidence and assurance. 

'There's no way a Lagdameo's horse can be here', he thought. 

However, the Little Miss must surely have a basis for the things she claimed for and this made him uncomfortable. The thought got him thinking for quite amount of time while silence embodied the place.

"Okay" he settled, after thinking through everything "I'll find a way but please Little Miss if I say we have to abandon the plan then we have to" He said as he was considering the absurd possibility of sneaking into the barn to see if he could do something.

"Okay fine. But promise me we have to try at least" She said persuasively.

"Right" Dr. Cyan nodded in agreement to the Little Missus' request although still blind on what he needed to do in order to get a hold of the Lagdameo horse.

Horses galloped across the overgrown fields that Caspar and his men had marched on earlier today. The light from the dusk sun cast the long shadows of the horsemen over the relatively flat land.

 "We are almost there, your highness!"

 Proclaims a Lieutenant to Lothar. The small town Caspar and his men were sent to was recently and secretly converted to a forward command base for the Oskiuumen high command.

 It was heavily defended, no twelve-man team would be able to take it out alone. But if the Urmacht army does manage to capture the town and with it, whatever commanders in it, that would shorten the war if not end it outright.

 As Lothar's mind keeps churning, half about the possibility to end the war and half about the men he sent to capture it. They start seeing their destination, plumes of smoke rising atop it.

 Lothar takes a deep breath, readying himself for the battle to come before speaking to his men.

 "Alright, men, the enemy is right in front of us. Sergeant Caspar and his men have already started their attack, and from the looks of the town, they have made some progress."

 Lothar takes a deep breath, thinking about the words that he and Caspar shared before he sent him on this suicide mission, a tinge of blame creeping on his heart. But he steels himself and continues.

 "We currently do not know the status of their team. But we do know that if we capture that town and whoever is in it, we can end the war right then and there. So do not let Urmacht and me down."

 The men start getting excited about the prospect of winning this war and returning home. This stupid war began two years back as a conflict between Urmacht and Borpiden farmers.

 Due to the tense political landscape between the two nations, a small conflict between farmers about cattle and grazing grounds evolved into a full-fledged war.

 Ironically though, it is the farmers and peasants on the border that paid the harshest price. Their homes were destroyed, and their lands scarred by the trenches and ditches created by both armies.

 Even if the war ended, it would take a herculean amount of effort just to restore the land, to say nothing of returning to production.

 As the men sit there reviling in the prospect of returning home, and musing about the start of this pointless conflict, they reach the fringes of the town.

 Lothar soon orders his men to dismount and keep the horses, since attempting to use cavalry within the close confines of a town would be tactical suicide.

 The men dismount and ready their gear. The town's entrances seem to be unguarded, and they slowly march inwards.

 As they march through the town, the meet pockets of resistance that seem to grow more numerous and fierce, the closer they get to the town center.

 The men of Urmacht remain undaunted though and push through the close quarters and the dead angles of the town until they finally arrive at an open square.

 In the middle of the square stands a half-collapsed building, from which the cacophony of battle seems rife.

 Lothar and his men charge into the building, clearing room after room, using their daggers and rifles as batons to bash enemies that are too close to shoot at.

 As Lothar and his men reach one particular room, they slowly open the door and witness a room taken directly out of hell itself.

 Bodies were strewn about the room lying in pools of blood, tables were turned over, and debris covered the ground.

 On one side of the room are men holding their rifles, pointing them towards the opposite side. While the in the side they were pointing their weapons, there was a bloody man in an Urmacht army uniform sitting atop another, older man, wearing a clean and decorated Oskiuumen uniform.

 Lothar immediately recognizes the man covered in blood as he shouts in stunned worry.

 "CASPAR!"

 Caspar slowly turns his head around, still keeping his dagger on the man's thought, and sees Lothar standing in the doorway.

 Lothar's men charge in the room, disarming and capturing the men who are not yet restrained, as Caspar reveals a bashful smile towards Lothar and says awkwardly.

 "Umm... I might have just ended the war."

 Lothar, relieved that Caspar is still alive and well enough to joke around, bursts into uproarious laughter with tears dripping from his eyes as he replies.

 "Indeed, Caspar, You might have ended the war."

 Lothar, Caspar, and the rest of the men make their way back into friendly territory with the captured Oskiuumen soldiers. Most of Caspar's team did not make it. Nine of his originally twelve-man squad were killed during the battle. The rest, Caspar included, were riddled with injuries.

 Caspar himself had received seven bullet wounds and three wounds caused by sharp objects, even with his experience and capability in combat. Soon though, they return to the safety of the trench, and the injured get treated.

 Within the trench's command room, Lothar, Carsten, and the now bandaged up Caspar, along with the Colonel and other officers, stand listening to the result of the interrogation of the captured commanders.

 "The commander that was captured in the town proclaims himself as General Kalinin Taras Timurovich. Commander of the Borpiden western front and relative of the Oskiuumen emperor."

 The crowd in the room stood there stunned by the revelation of their captive's identity. They did not expect to capture the Oskiuumen overall commander of this war.

 Lothar smiles proudly as he looks at the man that made it all possible. Had not been for Caspar's near-miraculous victory in the town, the General would have been able to flee, and the war would have continued on.

 He smiles, deciding what Caspar's reward would be once they returned to Herzen, then turns to Carsten and orders.

 "Send word back to Herzen. Tell them we are suing for peace."

A world where war is righteous, and death in it glorious. Caspar Hahn is deemed sick by his father and is forced to join the army to 'correct' him. But contrary to his father's belief, Caspar thrived in the military. Join Caspar as he fights against the enemies that want to do him and his country harm, as he fights against his father and the public to gain recognition and acceptance, and most importantly fights against himself to discover who he really is.

Kun was stunned.
In fact, the upcoming mission had lost its meaning. Tang Ling's unbelievable gamble put the proud and almighty Kun in an awkward position.
Increase the difficulty? No, it would go against the most basic of rules, which was grinding the Dream Seed on the line of life and death! No matter how outstanding Tang Ling's performance was or how well the Dream Domain could self-adjust, Kun could no longer increase the difficulty. He would be breaking the rules if he did. The missions assigned to Tang Ling were considered the most difficult among the list of missions given to the pre-Purple Moon Warriors.
Would he simply allow Tang Ling to complete the mission?
Just look at what Tang Ling had gotten up until this point! The precious jade had landed its innocent possessor in prison!
Tang Ling did not seem to understand the saying, and if he was simply allowed to complete the mission freely, he would probably search up and down for more spoils.
Kun did not want Tang Ling to possess things that did not match his strength level in such an early stage, it would not provide much help to his growth. 
However, if Tang Ling reaped the rewards with his own effort, Kun would not take them away from him either. That included the Dream Coins that he had gotten and would be getting, or the items and spoils that he had collected from his enemies within the Dream Domain.
"What's wrong? Feeling awkward?" Ya was delighted. Beating Kun at everything was a joy to him. Even though it was Tang Ling who put Kun in such a position, it did not matter to him.
Ya even started to admire Tang Ling. The kid had an unusual, attractive sincerity to his actions, but sometimes, he would display the most primal and brazen greed. It was bold yet smart, all of which were displays of the most vivid human nature.
"Awkward? Not at all." Kun did not submit verbally, but he had decided to 'evict' Tang Ling from the Dream Domain as soon as possible.
How? A little scare would still be within Kun's capability.
However, it was unprecedented that a Dream Seed would be 'evicted' from the Dream Domain.

Swish! 
The alloy longsword reaped the life of another black-robed clergy. Sweat was rolling down Tang Ling's forehead, but he was very delighted as he stripped the gloves off the dead body and bagged it skillfully.
If it was possible, he wished that this dream could last longer.
The earlier stage might be a little difficult, but when he got the rewards, the sweetness melted the bitterness away. Tang Ling liked to use sweetness to describe his battle. It was not a mainstream way to describe it but he did taste the sweetness.
An hour ago, after he successfully killed the red-robed bishop and was collecting the spoils, another crazy and bold thought popped up in his mind: counterattack! The moment the thought came into his mind, he could no longer hold himself back, so he did as he wished.
He quickly headed back to where Fatty and the Rose Knights were and officially placed Fatty in the care of the Rose Knights.
"The difficulty of my mission increased again, but the mission I shared with you earlier should be the same: surviving for 24 hours. I don't think your mission difficulty will increase. Fatty…Uh, I mean…Ji Chenxi, you should be with the Rose Knights and you can easily clear the 24-hour mission. There are less than 23 hours on the clock, so I guess finding a place to sleep the time away will be better for you." That was what Tang Ling told Fatty.
After hearing what Tang Ling said, Fatty blinked. An unfamiliar emotion was rumbling in his heart—gallantry.
However, the gallantry quickly faded when he thought about how mad Tang Ling was as he danced in and out of death's doorway and the helpless feeling when he searched for the horses. He really wanted to slap himself a hundred times over.
Then, that was it. Fatty ultimately responded with few blank blinks and nothing else.
"Bro, as your brother, I can't stop you if you want to go on by yourself, but I have a question, and I can't breathe if I don't get it out of my mind." On second thought, Fatty decided to ask before Tang Ling went off and the question remained in his heart, baffling him.
"A question? Ask away." Tang Ling immediately felt sour in his heart when he answered Fatty. 
This motherf*cking Fatty's accent is infectious. Why am I talking in his accent? 
"Why did you send me to find horses? They ain't useful either." Fatty finally vented the question that has been troubling him. Indeed, what were the horses for? In front of these supermen, the horses were like a joke. If they traveled by horse, the red-robed bishop would probably catch up with them.
"Three reasons. First, I have to give you something to do." Tang Ling did not seem like he was joking at all. Back then, in order to make sure Fatty was safe, sending him away was the most important of all. However, as his partner, ignorance was denying Fatty's capabilities, but Tang Ling did not want to hurt his pride like that.
Tang Ling was always like such. He was bold and brazen at times but also meticulous and caring. His care for people around him was not displayed verbally but would surface in the form of feelings, especially the warmth.
Fatty was caught off-guard by the answer, and he felt teary and moved in the next second. He was basically useless in battle, but he was good at something: being understanding and sociable. He knew that the feeling of being depended on was very important to a person.
"That's it?" Despite the touching feeling in his heart, Fatty still showed an unhappy pout.
"I wish! Actually…" As Tang Ling elaborated, he took something out from his backpack.
"Why the hell are you keeping this for?!" Fatty squealed in shock immediately and the Rose Knights behind him were instantly alarmed and cautious.
"It's nothing. These two Demon Seeds are unconscious, so they are harmless now and killable." Tang Ling slowly tightened his palms and the two unconscious Demon Seeds were strangled to death.
The bodies should not be wasted! Even though they were still at the infant stage, the appendages were still tough. Tang Ling stuffed the Demon Seeds back into his backpack and continued leisurely, "I actually observed a lot of problems in the murder case that I ran into when I came into the dream.
"Back then, I witnessed the so-called scene of the murder in that alleyway. I sharply realized that the cuts are not caused by someone from the outside. It's a cut from the inside out as if something burst open," Tang Ling searched his backpack as he explained. Then, he fished out a pack of cigarettes that he had brought into the Dream Domain.
He lit it up naturally and gave Fatty a stick. He noticed that the Rose Knights were looking at him with a curious gaze and he passionately shared it with them. The pitiful Rose Knights were stained by this unhealthy bad habit, but they did not know any better. Instead, they seemed to be interested in the smoke coming out from his nose.
"You managed to observe all that? But what does it mean?" Fatty took a happy puff. He could never bring such things into the Dream Domain. Even in the real world, he had to hide in the corner to steal a puff or two.
"At the scene of the murder, other than the dead woman, there was also a horse. As for why the horse died, I didn't have the answer back then, but I got the similarities." Tang Ling did not get into detail. With Precise Instinct, every detail would be revealed to his sight. Furthermore, Tang Ling was a veteran killer, so of course he knew the difference between internal and external cuts.
"What's the similarities?" Fatty pressed the question. He admired Tang Ling a lot. This kid might seem crazy but his observations are sick!
"It's the neck. The woman and the horse's neck. There are two tiny holes around the cut. The shapes are the same and they lined up in the same way. I noticed the tiny holes on Tonnies and Bick as well," Tang Ling explained.
Tonnies' situation was unlike the others, but Tang Ling deemed the details unnecessary for the moment.
Tang Ling went quiet for a few seconds when Tonnies came into his mind. He continued, "This is why I'm certain Bick was beyond saving back then. I had a feeling Bick knew something, hence his decision to cooperate. But none of that is important. The important thing is, after I noticed these two points, I took a guess: the dead woman and horse must've been infected, hence the gory death." Tang Ling spat a cloud of smoke out.
"The following matters also proved my speculation, following which I can come up with another theory: those who can be infected can also be fused," Tang Ling uttered his most important theory while holding the cigarette in his mouth.
The moment his voice subsided, one of the Rose Knights, who got intoxicated by his first cigarette, came over and tapped Tang Ling's shoulder. He said loudly, "Bro, I didn't stop you because I really want to know what your findings are. I'm pretty impressed. You probably came up with the most accurate theory just from a murder scene.
"You're right. It's the Fallen Star Church's handiwork. They used several types of living beings as hosts to breed their so-called Demon Seeds. Once the Demon Seed is matured enough, it will burst out from the host, killing it in the process.
"However, the matured Demon Seeds are not strong in nature, and they cannot keep growing. They needed a new host to fuse with them. Those monsters are the product of the fusion. The Demon Seeds can infect and fuse with any living being." The Rose Knight revealed much vital information without pause.
Fatty was stunned when he heard the revelation. Unconsciously, he asked, "Why didn't you guys tell me about it before?"
"With your strength, you're better off not knowing all this." The Rose Knight felt embarrassed when asked because he was an honest and straight man.
Fatty was once again defeated, but thankfully for his previous experience, he was used to such attacks. However, he somehow felt like his pride was challenged.
Tang Ling casually tapped Fatty's shoulder and said, "Now that you've heard of it, Bro, I want to let you know that your future dream entries will be a lot harder, but I think you can handle it just fine."
Tang Ling said it in such a natural way and consoled Fatty yet again. Fatty finally understood his meaning after all the explanation. "I get it now. Are you saying that if the horse can be used as a breeding vessel for the Demon Seeds, it might be able to fuse and form a new type of monster? Did you keep two Demon Seeds because you want to test it on the horses? Do you really think that after the fusion, the horses can run faster?"
"Something like that. It's more or less the same," Tang Ling answered Fatty's question in a vague way.
"Actually, the fusion monsters are rather disgusting. After so many battles, haven't you noticed? The Demon Seeds are simply crawling on the backs of the people from the Fallen Star Church." Tang Ling shifted the topic again, afraid that Fatty might strangle him to death.
At the next second, Fatty really put his hands around Tang Ling's neck, "Bro! Why are you guessing everything?! What do you think our lives are worth? Cabbages?!"


When a glorious old civilization was toppled overnight, a strange purple moon rose and thus began the Purple Moon Era.
Damn it! What kind of ecosystem was this? The evolution was messy. Even rabbit bites and plants were not to be messed with. How can one survive all this? Evolve into a Purple Moon Warrior? What did this have to do with the Purple Moon?
What kind of map was this? The Safety Sector? The Floating Domain? The Darkness Port? The Storm Voyage? The True Capital?
The Horror Lullaby List? The resurrection of the Underground Race and the prospering Underground City? The Chaos Black Market that suffused the world? The Bloody Road?
More importantly, one could end up in a bloody slaughter when dreaming and enter the Dream Domain? Fine, this damned era! 

Forty five minutes had passed and the Grand Tournament had finally entered the final phase; various intense battles that were happening in the Mythical Sanctuary had now started to subside. 
As less and less Champions survive from the battles, the ones left were all, except for the ones who were avoid combats, but formidable Champions!
From now onwards, every single enemy that they encountered in the Sanctuary would be able to eliminate them from the contest. Even then Veteran Champions wouldn't dare to act hastily.
And yet!
Gallop… gallop… gallop…
The galloping sounds of steeds, almost like they were the sounds of death itself, were heard from all directions in the Mythical Sanctuary.
These were the Fallen Angels' Dark Flame Steeds. No one else dared to ride on horses and openly move around like this.
Even though there were many Champions that hadn't encountered these Dark Flame Steeds before or fought with the Fallen Angels, they could feel a thread of danger from the gallops of these horses.
Only people who were confident enough to take on the huge crowd of Champions would dare to invite such attention to themselves.
Besides, in this final round, the player who had the most kill count had already killed over five opponents in the Sanctuary. The other players had, at best, killed three or four men.
Netherclaw felt anxious after hearing these gallops of death. Being the prideful League Leader, Netherclaw chose to not evade them, locking his eyes in the direction where the sound of the gallops came from.
Savior and Sinistress had already been killed and kicked out of the Mythical Sanctuary. There was only one player who could pose any kind of threat to him. Yes, only him. Netherclaw didn't think he was that unlucky; and he didn't think Qin Ruo would practice his horse-riding skills in the Mythical Sanctuary.

Seconds later, a Warrior swiftly rode his handsome Dark Flame Steed into Netherclaw's zone of perception.
"Dark Flame Steed!"
Stunned after seeing this, Netherclaw immediately recognized this majestic beast.
"Fallen Angels!"
The League's name inadvertently clicked in his mind. Surprised, Netherclaw scanned his surroundings nervously; he even had the urge to summon his pet.
However, it was all too late…
"Netherclaw?"
The Warrior was Slayer's Heart. Indeed, Netherclaw was now being disguised with a unified look by the Mythical Sanctuary so he wasn't recognizable; yet, that fierce-looking "Daybreak Moonbear" was a telling sign that this "opponent" was no other than Netherclaw himself.
In fact, Slayer's Heart had an urge to try his hand in battling Netherclaw after recognizing him. He wanted to know just how strong Netherclaw was. He also wanted to know if he could beat the fabled enigmatic Netherclaw in combat.
However, before the contest began, Violet Orchid had told everyone this. "In this contest, it's best to avoid combat with any of our allies from other Leagues. If it's possible, just announce who you are and retreat. If they want to fight, then so be it. However, you must tell them who you are before you fight. You can even reveal all your stats and whoever is with you at the moment."
After all, no matter how strong and huge the Fallen Angels had grown, they still needed friends and allies within the Angel Faction.

And even Netherclaw, this former enemy. Netherclaw had given in at the Black Flame Valley back then; so, it was best to not make enemies.
Of course, if after revealing their identities and strength and these allies still wanted to fight, they would need to give it their all.
Unfortunately, Slayer's Heart knew Netherclaw wouldn't lift a finger to fight. He was too smart to ignore whatever that was going on in the battlefield and too clever to fight recklessly.
Thus, he quickly summoned his pet. Then, in seconds, an Earth Enchanted Spider slowly crept into their sights.
Unless Netherclaw had gone blind, he should know who this Warrior was by now.

After recognizing Slayer's Heart, Netherclaw had already started calculating what to do next.
Seeing Slayer's Heart summoning his pet, it was apparent that he was revealing his identity to him and didn't intend to fight…
Netherclaw frowned.
'Could it be that he knew we are both even in strength? So, he's revealing that we're on the same Faction to avoid combat?'
And that's odd—this wasn't something the Slayer's Heart he knew would do.
Besides, every opponent would yield only 1 score—killing just one more opponent would mean a lot in rising to top ten. Netherclaw didn't want to let this opponent go even if he knew this was someone from the Fallen Angels.
'The Fallen Angels had already occupied eleven spot in the top rankings now. So, even if I killed just one of them… I suppose this Winter Demon isn't going to be too mad about it, I suppose?"
As Netherclaw was deep in his thoughts, suddenly Slayer's Heart waved his hand. Then, he could hear another horse coming their way from the deeper part of the Mythical Sanctuary.
'What? There are more of them?'
 Netherclaw could feel that his heart was beating vigorously. 
As he looked on nervously, another Warrior had ridden into his view and stood behind Slayer's Heart. In an instant, Netherclaw's forfeited his idea to take on Slayer's Heart.
He was no idiot…
If it was only one Champion, he could still handle it. However, if there were two Champions, Netherclaw didn't think he could emerge victorious. 
There were five fearsome Warriors in the Fallen Angels.
One of them, a Steel Berserker, was basically the embodiment of Fort Knox itself. The other one was a powerful fire-wielding Ignis Swordmaster. And then, there was also the Clan Leader of The Executors, someone whom Netherclaw had also wanted to recruit back then. Slayer's Heart, one of the best Titanwraith Berserker alive—one who could face off with even the likes like Death Jesus; and finally, there was a Warrior who possessed a Tier 4 Ultimate Boss as his pet—he was also the Champion who had the highest score in the Grand Tournament thus far.
These Warriors were no pushovers…
And now, there were two of them standing before him.
Netherclaw couldn't help but suspect… could it be that Savior or Sinistress were defeated by the joint attacks from the Fallen Angels? Or perhaps, by these two?

Remorseless, Warrior frowned as he saw Daybreak Moonbear.
'Tsk! It's him!'
That was another score he had to let slip.
He and Slayer's Heart looked at one another. In the dozen battles earlier, the two Warriors had now developed some rapport and they didn't need words to communicate. 
Riding their mighty steeds, Slayer's Heart and Remorseless Warrior rode past Netherclaw casually.

Netherclaw sighed in relief after seeing the two Warriors riding past him, seemingly uninterested in engaging in combat. Now, he felt much better about the Fallen Angels and Qin Ruo. The favor he gave in the Black Flame Valley wasn't all for naught…
If it wasn't Qin Ruo's involvement, Netherclaw might have been killed earlier and his career in the Mythical Sanctuary would have ended abruptly—and with a measly two points too, shoving him out of the top ten spots and beyond the reach of the Demigod gears.
Overjoyed, Netherclaw stretched out his Angelic Wings and flew toward the Golden Battle Flag.

After flying for half a minute, suddenly another round of horses galloping was heard again…
Surprised, Netherclaw carefully stopped and hovered in the air while looking at his right, where the sounds of galloping came from.
Netherclaw couldn't help but start pondering again…
'Damn, could it be that Slayer's Heart and Remorseless Warrior had regretted and were now coming back for me? No. Horses can't move that fast. They'd need to ride quite a huge circle to reach here."
As he was deep in his thoughts, an Elementalist, riding on a Dark Flame Steed, rode into his view.
"Huh?!"
Another competitor from the Fallen Angels! And again, a Dark Flame Steed. 
Netherclaw felt quite disheartened seeing this. Even though he hadn't received news about Snowmelt's progress, he was starting to wonder if there were no other players than the Fallen Angels in the Mythical Sanctuary at the moment?
He had encountered two waves of their men in just half a minute.
Netherclaw didn't really care who the Elementalist was and he didn't want to fight him either. After all, Slayer's Heart and Remorseless Warrior were not hostile to him earlier. Thus, he immediately summoned his Daybreak Moonbear to reveal his identity.
The Elementalist stopped about fifty meters away, watching him for around three seconds.
Then in a flash, three poisonous scorpion tails emerged in front of him.
Oh, it was a Three-tailed Scorpion.
This must be the Fallen Angels' Field Commander—Black Rock.
Seeing that this Elementalist wasn't revealing his identity earlier, Netherclaw thought it was the infamous Homme Fatale or even Qin Ruo himself.
'Ah, it's him.'
Netherclaw sighed in relief.
However, suddenly a silver silhouette rushed into view from the airspace behind Black Rock and straight at Black Rock's back.
Netherclaw was shocked as he saw this. Reflectively, he was prepared to help Black Rock fend off the oncoming competitor. However, he didn't act—Black Rock didn't seem to care for the Elementalist that was dashing thirty meters at his back at all…
Yes, of course. 
A Tier 5 Elementalist wouldn't really allow anyone to attack him from behind. Not with such an obvious rear attack.
So, the only explanation for this was…
As he was guessing if the approaching Elementalist was Qin Ruo or Homme Fatale, the Elementalist had landed next to Black Rock. There was a massive eagle above him. Then, he raised his hand and several violet electric sparks rattled in his hand.

Netherclaw's cheek twitched momentarily as he saw this.
Even though he was able to guess the identity of the newly arrived Elementalist, Netherclaw was still shocked to see his guess was correct. 
There were Slayer's Heart and Remorseless Warrior riding past him earlier…
And now, Homme Fatale and Black Rock stood before him.
And they were all in pairs.
Other than that, the all-powerful Qin Ruo had seemingly acquired the Golden Battle Flag.
And that Wandering Soul who possessed the highest score.
Even if the other five opponents had all been killed, the Fallen Angels would definitely be the biggest winner in this Grand Tournament.
Netherclaw quietly hovered in the air as he was stunned by this revelation. He wasn't even aware that Homme Fatale and Black Rock had left.

Steal lollipops from 3 children; reward: 1 evil point. If neither of the quests is completed, then 2 points will be deducted.”
“Tsk! You think I’m stupid? If I really destroyed a town, a crusade of Myth-ranked Holy Knights would definitely come hunting me down. Even if I earned the points, there wouldn’t be any life left in me to spend them. I better just go be a kindly lollipop bandit.”
I’ve already had enough of being a notorious lich. Who says a lich can’t be a good person? I’m definitely going to beat this damned system and be an upright and dignified good man.

"Euph, it took me a while to get here, but finally a human city!" Nur said loudly enough for everyone to hear. He was near the gate of the city; the entrance had two guards who were checking everyone who entered. There were quite a few people going into the city.

"Hold it right there!" one of the guards instructed Nur, causing him to freeze in place.

"No horns" the other guard who was a tall woman with grey hair said after ruffling through Nur's hair.

"Alright then, he can come in." The male guard said as he gave his approval.

"Sorry to ask but what's up with "No Horns"?" Nur said while tilting his head sideways.

"Oh, you haven't heard, have you? Our kingdom's knights have managed to capture an important enemy, who is being held imprisoned. We can't have anyone associated with him get anywhere inside the city, so the check is necessary."

"Ok, but what about the horns?" Nur asked, feeling like he missed out some crucial information.

"Well, horns are the defining feature of demon-kind, that much should be obvious! After all, the one who is imprisoned is none other than one of the Demon Lords!" The female guard said proudly, with a fist on her heart, in a rather passionate display of patriotism. "It just shows how humanity shall strive, while the other kinds shall be eliminated, and the demons are the first to go!"

"Right…" Nur nodded, obviously confused.

"Aw, before you go, there is going to be witch trial in two days, it would be nice if you could witness such a magnificent event! It will be a display of power for all of humanity to see, the moment we destroy the evil and…." She found out that Nur was already walking away.

"You might have scared him off with your passion" the male guard told his colleague, who responded with a slight smirk.

"Those are sure some chatty guards" Nur remarked.

He proceeded to walk through the city, admiring the buildings, but strangest of all were the inhabitants. Not all of them were human, some had some demi-human features, some had elven looks, but as he guessed no horns. Apparently the horns were a racial trait of demons and they clearly were a taboo inside the city.

"Regardless, ants from yesterday are not going to be enough for me to last" Nur sadly remarked. The last 'meal' he ate was yesterday, consisting of insects and lake water. Now his stomach begged for food.

He tried to visit places that seemed to have food based on their smell, but the minute he told them he had no money he was violently thrown out by a host, a tall demi-human with dog head.

"Don't come back unless you can pay!" The host said with a bark.

"Ouch, ouch, ouch" Nur rubbed his neck; the dog man had thrown him out while holding him by the collar of his clothing. "Tough luck. It seems like I am all flat broke here, huh" he sighed in frustration.

"Heck, I am not even sure what kind of currency they use here…" then his eye caught a sight of a golden coin on the ground, along the road.

"But I bet I could use that!" he jumped on the road and proceeded to pick up the coin from the ground. "Not like any coin I have ever seen, a picture of a sun, I think?" the coin had a pattern of the sun with somewhat angular features. It was most likely the local royalty's emblem. "I might have some use for it."

Just as Nur was about to put the coin in his pocket, he heard a shout.

"LOOK OUT!"

But it was too late.

The road is made for carriages to go through, carried by horses.

So by being on the road while the horses were galloping while pulling the carriage, Nur ended up being trampled over by horses in an instant. His head was subsequently crushed under the wheels of the carriage. The last thing he saw was the image engraved on the coin, the image of golden sun.

 

"No horns" The lady guard finished examining Nur's hair

"Alright then, he can come in." said the male guard.

"Eh?" Nur stood there dumbfounded. "What just happened? Didn't this already happen? Am I dreaming? I was just trampled over by horses…"

"Hurry up, I said you could go in!" the male guard said with an annoyed expression.

"I am sorry, but haven't you seen me already, earlier today?"

"Nope, never seen you in my entire life."

"I see, then I must be dreaming, a déjà vu, just a déjà vu…" Nur mumbled before walking into the city.

Then he proceeded to walk towards the exact location where he found the coin. Now he quickly plucked the coin off the ground and proceeded to get away from the road.

Less than ten seconds later, a carriage carried by strange armored horses quickly sped through the road. It was a white carriage decorated with swans.

"The horses really are weird, they have scales and horns, if not for the fact that they had three horns, I would have mistaken them for unicorns!" Nur exclaimed before realizing a crucial fact while he was looking at the deep hoof-prints left by the horses. "Dream or not, this is fishy. If I didn't move out of the road just now, my head would have been right there…What the hell is going on?" he remembered the painful sensation of having his skull crushed by the hoofs and the carriage wheels. Now that exact carriage ended up going away without even harming him. "Who knows, I might have foresight!?" Nur made a silly suggestion to himself and laughed out loud.

He was looking forward to finding out more about this city.

"Is everything going well, your eminence?" Mrakus took the tray one of the lady servants passed to him that had a tea on top of it.

"Everything is going perfectly. The counterclockwise time turn has worked perfectly, just as I would expect of my great self!" She said pridefully. "Her servant has experienced his first death and he has gone back in time, exactly as planned. But, his reaction upon reviving was not as intense as I expected." She sulked slightly. "Usually they go mad from the revelation, but maybe given enough time…"

"Your eminence, I believe letting him experience more deaths would be the best way to break his spirit."

"That is my plan, Mrakus. Don't be so presumptuous as to think that I have not thought through everything!" She angrily took the tea and sipped it, and then she ended up spitting it out. "It's too hot, damn it!" She splashed the hot content of the tea upon Mrakus, who just calmly stood while his suit and his face were covered in hot liquid.

"If you are going to serve tea, do it the right way! You foolish angel!"

"Yes, your eminence." Mrakus slightly bowed with his head.

"Well, what is the best way to use the coin?" Nur wondered.

He visited the food place managed by the dog-headed owner. There he found out that the gold coin is equivalent of ten silver coins, which is equivalent of hundred bronze coins. Of course, before he could spend the coin for food, Nur was chased out of the café because the food place had many demi humans who disliked having a human being there. They chased after him nonstop while he was running for his life. Apparently they were angry due to the fact that human had a golden coin in his possession, it attracted so much unwanted attention, resulting in this situation.

"Over here! Hide over here!" Someone beckoned to him from the corner of the building. That place was covered in a tent.

He listened to them and entered the tent to try to avoid his pursuers. His luck didn't last long. He was kicked from behind, causing him to fall head first into a cage.

"Well, well, well. We got ourselves a human today!" A demi-human with a head of a fox said triumphantly.

"Uhm, what is going on?" Nur asked, confused.

"You are going to be sold on an auction, of course!" Another demi-human with face of a frog said with a strange frog-like guttural noise.

What followed could only be described as tragic. They planned to sell him in the next three days. They gave him moderate amount of food in order to keep him alive. Desperate to survive, Nur ate what they have given him, but ended up choking on a bone and died a day before he was going to be sold.

"LOOK OUT!" it was the voice of a girl, that was for sure.

The moment he heard that, Nur rolled forward, barely avoiding being crushed by a carriage.

"Whew, that was close!" Nur looked at the hand that held the golden coin. "Again! Ok, now this is getting ridiculous, is this coin cursed or something? I keep getting into weird situations and keep coming back to the places, that's definitely no coincidence!" he looked at the coin with a grimace. "Hey coin, do you have a problem with me?"

"Uhm, excuse me, are you ok?" a concerned voice of a young woman caused him to turn around. She looked rather ordinary, wearing plain-looking clothing, most likely in her late teens. She had a hat on her head that hid her hair.

"Yeah, I am alright." Nur said after realizing he must have looked quite stupid arguing with a coin. "By the way, do you know anywhere I can get coin exchanged?" he now thought that the smartest way of getting rid of the coin was to get its exact worth in bronze coins.

She told him of a certain location where she herself goes to exchange coins, it was located few blocks away.

"It's a building with a sign of an apple on top of it." she said.

After thanking her, Nur went exactly by her directions, now face to face with a building that had a faded out card board cut-out of a giant apple. It must have been red once upon a time, but the rain had made the color look more yellowish, but Nur had to admit it did make the apple to look more natural. To make it even more hilarious, it had a sign underneath that said "Apple Shack."

"Well, at least the language is still the same" Nur remarked. Somehow he knew the language the books in Desolai's domain were written in, it was a huge relief that this city operated on the same language.

When he entered, he saw that the shack filled with many cloaked figures. He hesitantly approached the counter, where a drunken looking fat person with a beard sat. "Welcome to Apple Shack, how can I be of service?"

"I would like to get this exchanged." He handed him the golden coin.

"Oh, how generous. It would be my pleasure" he proceeded to count out ninety eight bronze coins and put them in the pouch. "One bronze coin for the service, I have also added in the pouch which is an additional bronze coin."

"That is fine by me." Nur replied.

"Pleasure doing business with you." The fatso said with a grin, showing off his gold plated teeth.

Nur proceeded to exit the place.

"Well, at least now I don't look so suspicious with copper coins. Now then, I need food, that scary demi-human place is out of question, so what do I do? What do I do…?"

"Hold it right there!" a person wearing a mask, somewhat shorter than Nur by about three inches, with a knife in hand, said threateningly. "Hand over all your valuables!"

"Valuables, I got nothing of value…"

"Don't lie! I saw you give that crone a gold coin, you obviously are rich, so hand over your money! Or else…"

"C'mon, I don't have time for this" Nur tried to walk past the masked person, but the masked person thrust forward with the knife into Nur's chest.

"I, I killed him" the masked person said with a nervous voice. "I was supposed to rob him, not kill him…"

"What the hell is going on…" Nur mumbled as his consciousness was fading away.

"LOOK OUT!" a voice that sounded like an alarm to him, had made him regain his senses.

He proceeded to roll over backwards, this time catching glimpse of the passenger inside the carriage. A woman with lovely light violet hair, very young, wearing elegant robes. The carriage went by fast, but he was able to catch a glimpse of the person inside the carriage.

"Are you ok?" the girl who saved his life once again asked of him.

"I am fine, but who was that person in that carriage?"

"Oh, you don't' know? Are you not from around here?" When Nur shook his head she continued. "I see, that was the carriage of the nobles, the person inside is most likely a nobleman."

"I see." Nur nodded, with his hand on his chin. So the class systems existed here as well. He realized that it wouldn't be so easy to live in this place.

"Oh my!" Chronos said with a slight laugh. "I can't believe he got himself caught up in such deaths in such a short time! He must be the most unlucky human being I have ever seen! I didn't even have to cause any accidents to happen in order for him to die!"

Mrakus stood there with his head down, thinking 'He is neither the first nor the last person cursed by the Goddess of Time to suffer like this. At this rate he will go mad even without Chronos's involvement!'

"Mrakus, can you just imagine the look Desolai would have on her face when her servant's will would be so completely broken? When he will reach the point of abandoning his ties to her, I can't wait for it to happen!" She said with a slight jiggle. She may look like a young girl, but she is a terrifying goddess who has played with human lives for eons.

Mrakus couldn't help but feel somewhat sorry for the human.

Inside the black iron coffin, Nibbs Odora replied with an aged voice, "Yes, under normal circumstances.

After sending Emlyn White back to the second floor, Cosmi Odora once again returned to the dark and gloomy underground hall, and he asked with confusion and doubt, "Grandfather, how could the revelation given by the Ancestor involve Emlyn White? He's just a weak member of the Sanguine who only recently reached adulthood."
Nibbs's voice came through the thick black metal coffin lid and reverberated in the air.
"No, the revelation provided by the Ancestor never included Emlyn White.
"'She' only showed a scene of the dawn of the apocalypse, depicting the erosion of the crimson moon, as well as mentioning The Fool and the corresponding honorific name.
"During this process, no Sanguine appeared. The mention of the key element was just my way of convincing Emlyn White.
"However, being able to take risks for the future of the Sanguine can also be considered a key element."
Cosmi was first enlightened before he had another question.
"Why did you choose Emlyn White? What's so special about him?"
Nibbs Odora suddenly laughed.

Klein had planned to put up with it for two days since he was "leaving" Backlund, but in his free time, he didn't dare to take the time to head to the Quelaag Club to have fun. As he leafed through the papers, waiting for lunchtime, the doorbell rang.
"It's almost the new year, and there are still people coming to entrust me with missions?" As he rose and walked to the door, Klein made up his mind to decline.
Although he only had 34 pounds left in cash, in order to get out of the royal strife, he had to "go on vacation" to the south as soon as possible. He could no longer accept assignments.
To his surprise, the visitor wasn't a stranger, but the old butler of Prince Edessak.
The old butler was wearing a well-cut tuxedo. He saluted without losing his dignity, and said, "Detective Moriarty, His Highness, the Prince, is waiting for you in the carriage at the end of the street. He wishes to know the progress of your investigations."
So impatient? Alright, that saves me the trouble of going all the way to Red Rose Manor tomorrow… Klein quickly reorganized what he had thought of last night and calmly replied, "Alright."
He was about to remove his hat from the coat rack when he felt a sudden ache in his stomach, a pain that required him to visit the toilet.
After enduring for a while, he realized that he couldn't hold it in any longer and apologetically said to the old butler, "I'm very sorry. I'll need to use the bathroom first. My stomach isn't feeling well."
The old butler didn't show any abnormal expression.
"That's your freedom."
As he discharged one wave after another of bliss, clearing away the remnants in his stomach, Klein washed his hands and returned to the hall.
At that moment, he noticed that the old butler was no longer around. The one waiting outside was the maid with curly brown hair.
"His Highness requested me to apologize to you; he still has matters to attend to and cannot wait for too long. Please go to Red Rose Manor tomorrow or the afternoon of the day after tomorrow." The maid bowed meticulously.
It hasn't even been ten minutes, and I'd already done it as fast as I could… Usually, I can continue on for quite a while if I have newspapers… Klein smiled.
"No problem."
After receiving a response, the maid who had completed her mission immediately felt a weight off her chest. She giggled and said, "Detective Moriarty, you missed that lady again." 
"Huh?" Klein was at a loss.
The maid lowered her voice and said, "This time, the young lady came with His Highness. She was the one who suggested taking a detour to meet you."
In the end, I missed her because of my stomachache? Something isn't right… Klein frowned slightly.

"What exactly did you put on her body? Breaking through the restrictions time and time again will create big problems."
The woman laughed in a low voice and said, "It was just an accident. Don't worry, there won't be any problems." 
As she spoke, she pulled back her hair, revealing her long, white neck. 
After that, she slowly applied various things to her face, making her look even more alluring.
Seeing that she was putting on her clothes and accessories, the dark golden-haired middle-aged man frowned and asked, "Where are you going?" 
The woman didn't directly answer and said with a smile, "Be careful of the quill in your hand, you almost exchanged bodies with someone the last time."
"You don't need to remind me," the middle-aged man with deep blue eyes to the point of being black said with a straight face.
The woman tightened her belt to make herself look thinner, then she lazily stretched and yawned while covering her mouth.
"I'm going to pay a visit to Mr. A of the Aurora Order.
"I hope he's as crazy as the rumors say."
As she spoke, the expression of the blind middle-aged man suddenly sank. It was because that ordinary quill had begun to write on its own, as though an invisible hand was holding onto it.
