The dementor attack during the summer after his 4th year was the last straw for Harry Potter. He changed in more than one way, and will no longer let anyone dictate his life. 

Some minor crossovers with a few fantasy and sci-fi franchises.

This is a tale set in the time of Harry Potter’s kids. Albus Potter (now in 4th year) forms a close friendship with witty and book obsessed girl, Quinn Eldens. Will their innocent friendship turn into something more? DISCLAIMER: I wrote this as if The Cursed Child never happened and everything that happened 1-7 still happened.

"Should we go? Ginny's down there!" It was Harry's voice.
Ah, I must be having a vision of the altered future.
Alex could see everything clearly now. It was Ron and Harry standing over the open entrance to the chamber in Myrtle's bathroom.
Ron spoke, "You remember what Alex said, a Basilisk is down there!"
"Yeah, but she said I defeated it. We can't wait anymore Ginny is down there, dying!"
Ron hesitated.
Shit.
A look of horror dawned on Alex's face as she realized what her reveal caused. Before they didn't truly know about the basilisk. They had a clue from Hermione but what if Alex's involvement changed Hermione's curiosity and ability to find out the truth. The Harry Potter story plot is fragile and based on a series of delicate accidents. Alex may have revealed the ending but the courage to fight along the journey slacked because they knew how it would end. They found out that everything turned out fine and they were heroes. They must have figured that the ending was set in stone so they put no real effort into their search.
Ron looked guilty. But he still hesitated, he muttered harshly under his breath, "Bloody basilisk down there!"
Harry finally looked determined, he gave Ron one last pleading look. They seemed to share the same thought because Harry jumped in and right on his tail was Ron.
Alex's vision swirled and changed. She was watching Harry and Ron crying over a corpse. Ginny's corpse. She lay dead at their feet. Harry looked over to the journal on his left and a young Tom Riddle who was laughing at them. Harry stood and ran towards the dead basilisk. He grabbed a tooth and stabbed the journal. Just like the story should be. Except, because of the boy's hesitation. Because of Alex telling them the truth. Ginny was now dead. Alex felt tears slide down her cheeks and she closed her eyes.
She opened them to find herself in her dorm. Her hair was sticking to the sides of her face with sweat. She sat up and saw the sun just barely over the horizon.
"What cowards. I've really fucked the timeline, and this time it cost Ginny's life."
Alex noticed her roommates were still asleep so she decided to take her shower before they could interrupt her, or run away in fear.
After taking a shower she put on her pants and tucked in her shirt. She left her new Slytherin loose around her neck. She wouldn't get in trouble but a strict teacher would yell at her to tighten it back in her old world. Thinking back to her old life she had a new resolve. She had to save every life she could possibly save, so people wouldn't have to suffer painful deaths as she and her brother had.
She grabbed her school bag and walked out of her dorm room. Nobody was in the common room so she didn't have to interact with anyone. She got out into the dungeon hallway.
Alex had a destination. She had a goal now. She was headed towards the Griffindor tower to scold Ron and Harry. She passed a few students who decided that the floor looked more interesting than watching where they were going, so she witnessed some students walking straight into walls.
She passed a first-year Griffindor student with a black eye being supported by two other students with busted lips and red cheeks. Those students ran away from her in fright. There must have been a fight in the common room, she could hear the commotion from outside the painting. Another two students with messed up clothes and black eyes rushed out the painting not even bothering that Alexis entered right after they left.
What she saw surprised her. Her brother standing over another student with Harry Potter holding him back so he couldn't hit the student again. Peter looked furious. Alexis knew the argument must have started over her, otherwise, he wouldn't be so angry.
Nobody noticed her entrance so she hid behind some students watching. The kid on the floor shouted, "You both are bloody cursed! You're evil! You shouldn't even be in Griffindor! You belong in the dungeons with the snakes and that wretched sister of yours!" After he said that Peter broke out of Harry's hold and started beating the boy's face. Alex stepped forward and the students she hid behind coward away from her at the sight of her white hair. She passed Harry and gave him a nod of thanks. He stepped back.
Peter was still beating on the boy until now but Alex placed a hand on his shoulder. Peter immediately stopped. He looked over his shoulder and saw his sister. He stood up and kicked the boy away. Peter and Alex were the same height so when they looked at each other their eyes locked.
'Stop hurting people based on their small words. They can't hurt us.' Peter read my thoughts again. He nodded and fixed his sleeves that he had previously rolled up. Harry handed him his bag and Peter and Ginny left the common room together. I stopped Harry from following him. Naturally, Ron stayed with Harry.
Some students in the common room were waiting for more action but were disappointed when they saw Harry and I get along well. The common room was soon empty.
"Boys, I need to speak with you about a change in the timeline."
At the mention of the timeline, they both stiffened.
"Ginny dies."
"What!" They both yelled at the same time.
"Hear me out," They stopped talking, "You boys knew what was in the chamber this time so you hesitated to jump in. This hesitation was the last bit of time that let Ginny slip away."
"So because we hesitated, Ginny died." Harry was dumbstruck. He couldn't wrap his head around the fact that he hesitated. That wasn't Griffindor of him at all.
Ron looked pale again. The thought of losing his baby sister was unbearable for him. He looked determined to change his sister's fate.
Alex interrupted their thoughts, "I've decided to help you take down the basilisk."
"How? It's not like there's a book for how to fight basilisks. Is there?"
"No there isn't unless you want to count Gilderoy Lockhart's fake books then no. I want to enchant a weapon that will aim for certain parts of the basilisk so I can blind in first. I'm thinking of a bow and a set of arrows. I need to know what weapons you boys think you can handle. So I can make you some suitable equipment."
Harry answered for Ron and himself, "We should both be able to use our wands, thanks though."
"Suit yourselves." I shrugged. It's not like I'm going to let them die, they just won't be much help in the fight.
"That's extremely difficult! You're just a first-year how can you know how to enchant anything?!" Ron seemed unable to believe Alex's claims that she could make a suitable weapon for fighting the basilisk.
"I think you forget who you're talking to Ronald. I'll see you boys, later. Oh, and thank you Harry for trying to help my brother."
"No problem."
I left their common room and headed to the library to look for Hermione. Alex wanted to ask her if she knew any books or a section of the library dedicated to researching different weapon enchantments. Although Grindelwald taught her a lot about enchantments they were most deadly and aimed to kill humans. She needs enchantments to kill a basilisk.
She spotted Hermione at a table surrounded by books on Herbology.
"Hermione."
"Huh? Oh, Alexis. Nice to see you here. Do you need anything? Books?"
"Yes, actually I need to know if there's a book here about enchanting weapons. And if there's anything here about killing a basilisk. I've decided to help you, Harry, and Ron to kill the beast."
"Oh. I was going to research basilisks but when you told us we end up winning I stopped. The section for snake research is over there and right next to it are a few books on weapon and armor enchantment. Have you decided you use an enchanted weapon to kill the snake?"
"Yes. Thank you, Hermione. I'll be going now."
We waved bye to each other and separated. The sections she pointed to were in a dark corner of the library and tinted window was the only source of light. I had an hour to kill before my first class so I sat at the window seat and grabbed a book on how to kill different snakes. There wasn't a mention of how to kill a basilisk, just to avoid getting into contact with them.
I read for the rest of the hour. I left the book on the shelve and headed toward the great hall to get my timetable.

Alex headed towards charms for her first class. She was able to avoid the crowds this morning but she wasn't sure she would fend off the spotlight during her classes.

After Gellert Grindelwald’s defeat, his bases were all ransacked. All but one. His own private mansion, location is only known to him. In the basement of said house, Gellert’s secret lab. Two children staying there had all been experimentally infused with different bloodlines. Peter Grindelwald - Metamorphmagus, and Legilimency. Alexis Grindelwald - Metamorphmagus, and Seer. Twins who died in 2018, murdered by their parents. Get transported in the bodies of the two Grindelwald children.

*** One day in Harry's school library, when Harry is 8.
Harry closed the lid on his latest book, another one from the fantasy genre. It was reasonably well written but the protagonist of the book made it through the entire story entirely on his good luck and a bunch of flukes.
From his own experience, Harry knew that luck had never been on his side. At that moment he decided that he wouldn't rely on luck to solve his problems but then came across the next dilemma.
How would he solve his problems?
The Dursleys' malnourishment of him meant that he wouldn't be becoming particularly strong anytime in the near future.
He had to become smart, beyond the norm and talk his way through life.
That would be the only way he could survive.
*** Privet Drive, when harry is 11
"Fetch the mail, boy." Vernon ordered Harry.
Harry silently went and retrieved the mail, flicking through all of the letters quickly, while walking back to the dining room.
He stopped dead in his tracks at the last letter.
Mr. Harry J Potter
Cupboard under the stairs, Privet Drive, Surrey
There was a letter for him! He had never received a letter before, and he knew that Vernon would never let him read it if he ever saw the letter.
On his way to the dining room, Harry slid the letter into his cupboard before reaching the breakfast table and giving the mail to Vernon and silently moving to clear the plates, which Vernon and Dudley had demolished, including the one piece of toast that Harry had.
Harry didn't bother protesting.
Vernon put down the mail with a satisfied grunt, "What took you so long, boy?"
"I slipped and dropped the mail." Harry lied with a straight face that showed regret.
Vernon sneered, "Shoulda expected it of a freak like you."
Harry nodded quickly and almost sprinted to his cupboard. When he was inside, he eagerly opened his letter.
Dear Mr. Potter,
You have been admitted into the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, please send you acceptance by owl, no later than the 30th of August this year. The first day of school will be on the 1st of September,

Assistant Headmistress McGonagall
Below the letter was a list of ridiculous sounding books and things to buy.
Harry's heart sunk a bit, but he held some hope. He didn't know what an owl was, so he nicked a pound from Dudley and stole a sheet of a4 paper from Vernon and mailed an acceptance letter to 'Hogwarts'.
He had little hope that it was actually going to work, but sending a letter wouldn't hurt right?
In his letter he had included that he needed proof that magic existed.
*** Next Day
The Dursleys heard three sharp raps on their door, just after dinner.
"Open the door, boy."
Harry nodded and went to open the door, and saw an old woman standing outside in extremely old fashioned clothing.
"Hello, I'm Harry, who might you be?" Harry asked politely.
Minerva nodded, "I'm Professor McGonagall, Harry, it's my job to introduce muggle-borns and muggle-raised to the wizarding world."
At this she frowned, "Though it was expected that your aunt and uncle would already have explained the wizarding world to you."
Harry snorted inwardly and was about to answer when Vernon bellowed from the dining room.
"BOY, WHO'S AT THE DOOR!"
Minerva's lips thinned a bit at the derogatory tone in Vernon's voice.
Harry had to think fast, he couldn't lie because McGonagall would become suspicious, but telling the truth would risk the Dursleys throwing McGonagall out of the house altogether.
In the end he decided to tell the truth, "Somebody from a place named Hogwarts." Harry said softly, hoping for the best.
Vernon stormed into the room.
"Look here, I won't be paying for some fool to teach the freak magic tricks." Vernon snapped at McGonagall.
McGonagall's lips thinned some more.
"Mr. Potter will be attending Hogwarts no matter what a muggle like you thinks of it." She said back before ignoring Vernon completely.
McGonagall pointed her wand at a chair in the corner of the drawing room and levitated the chair.
"At Hogwarts, you will learn several branches of magic, including Charms, Transfiguration, Potions, Defence against the Dark Arts among others…"
McGonagall took a breath, "Let me also warn you that due to events that took place while you were a baby, you've become a somewhat famous personality in the wizarding world. Would it be convenient if I took you to Diagon Alley tomorrow?"
Harry smiled politely, "If you give me the directions and the money, I'm sure I could find my way myself."
McGonagall shook her head. "I'm afraid that muggle-raised are to be escorted to Diagon Alley on their first visit."
Harry cursed inwardly but smiled outwardly. "Then sure, we can go tomorrow afternoon, it is a Saturday."
As soon as McGonagall left, Harry was shouted at, kicked in the ribs and thrown into his cupboard in Vernon's fit of anger.
*** Next afternoon
McGonagall picked up Harry when she was supposed to, noticing but not commenting on Harry's very well hidden wince as he walked.
She gave him a cap to wear before they reached a dirty looking pub that everybody else in the vicinity seemed to ignore.
McGonagall led him through the pub, exchanging a few words with the bartender, Tom, before she took him out the back.
"To get into Diagon Alley, you need to swipe your wand, when you get it, along the bricks like this." McGonagall demonstrated and the wall moved aside to let them through into the bustling magical alley.
Harry stared around in barely concealed wonder. McGonagall hid a smile at his reaction.
"Our first stop will be the Wizarding Bank, Gringotts. Your parents left you their sizeable fortune. We will be making a withdrawal from your trust vault."
They walked up to the teller.
McGonagall nodded respectfully.
"What may I do for you?" the teller asked coolly.
"Mr. Potter would like to make a withdrawal from his trust vault."
The goblin nodded, "Key, please."
McGonagall provided the key, pulling it out of her purse.
The teller, 'Griphook', led them to a cart and belted them in, and sat at the front, as the cart took off at high speeds, falling and rising rather like a roller coaster.
Harry thought that it was designed that way to disorient passengers so that potential thieves couldn't find their way around the underground tunnels of Gringotts.
With a screeching halt they reached Harry's vault.
"You will have to wait outside, Professor." Griphook stated.
McGonagall nodded and waited in the cart.
Harry went inside the vault with the goblin and filled the pouch that McGonagall had given him to the brim with golden galleons, taking as much money as possible.
"McGonagall said this was a trust vault. Does that mean that I have a family vault too?" Harry asked, while filling his pouch with money.
"You do have the Potter family vault but you may not access it till you are 17 or emancipated by the ministry." Griphook stated emotionlessly.
Harry nodded and went back out with his pouch of galleons.
"That's more money than you will need." McGonagall stated.
Harry flashed her an innocent smile. "This way I don't have to come back to get my money for Christmas presents."
McGonagall nodded her acceptance. "Just don't waste it all on candy or anything like that."
"Yes Professor." Harry said.
The first place that McGonagall took Harry too was Madam Malkins, the clothing shop.
Harry inwardly wrinkled his nose at how impractical wizarding robes were but smiled politely and stood completely still while Malkin measured him and the boy standing next to him.
"Hogwarts too?" the blonde next to him asked.
"Yes." Harry said.
The Blonde extended a hand.
"Draco Malfoy."
"Harry."
"Named after the whole 'Potter craze' were you?" Draco asked.
Harry smiled sheepishly, "Yes."
'Potter craze? Am I that famous!?' Harry thought.
"What house do you think you'll be in?" Draco asked.
Harry hadn't heard about the houses yet, so he answered vaguely.
"Don't know yet, do we." Harry said, making his question sound rhetorical but still there, in case he was supposed to know.
"No, I suppose we don't, but I know I'll be in Slytherin." The blonde puffed out his chest self-importantly.
Draco finished first and his father walked into the store to pick him up.
Nobility, Harry noted, while Draco and his father walked off.
After the clothing shop, Harry was taken to the bookstore.
Harry smiled widely.
"I'll pick up your potions ingredients and you can pick up the books on your list." McGonagall said, before taking two galleons from him and bustling off as if she had done it a million times before.
Harry quickly picked up his school books before picking up a few on customs and traditions, some on Runes and Arithmancy and a few other texts he thought would be useful to keep himself ahead of the class. He also picked up some books that claimed to be about him.
McGonagall came to pick him up and muttered 'Ravenclaw' when she saw the pile of books that Harry had picked up.
Next, McGonagall took Harry to Ollivanders wand shop.
Harry didn't let himself look rattled by Ollivander's speech which left the creepy old man looking somewhat disappointed.
"Ah, Mr. Potter, I've been expecting you. I'm sorry to say that I sold the wand that did that."
Ollivander reached out a hand and touched Harry's scar. Harry had to work hard to not flinch at Ollivander's touch.
After a long line of wands, Harry finally found one that responded to him.
"Aah! SO curious, very curious." Ollivander commented.
"What is?" Harry asked.
"The phoenix that gave the feather for this wand also gave the feather for the wand of you-know-who!"
Harry looked slightly confused. "Who?"
"The man who killed your parents," McGonagall whispered.
"Oh." Harry didn't know how to respond.
He numbly paid the 7 galleons, thinking about this you-know-who fellow.
McGonagall handed him a cage.
"Here, I bought you something for your birthday."
It was a snowy owl.
"Thank you!" Harry responded.
McGonagall almost smiled. "What will you name it?"
"Hedwig."
*** Hogwarts Express
McGonagall had explained how to get to the Hogwarts Express, Harry managed to wheedle Vernon to take him to Kings Cross at the threat of the 'freaks' showing up again.
He had arrived early and picked an empty cabin.
A red-headed boy opened the door to his cabin.
"Can I sit here, everywhere else is full."
"Sure." Harry smiled back.
"Hi, I'm Ron, Ron Weasley."
"Harry."
"Blimey! Are you Harry Potter!"
Seeing no way out other than outright lying, Harry nodded, already taking a dislike to the redhead.
"Yes."
"Are you really!"
"That is what I just said."
"Do you remember that night!?" Ron asked excitedly, irritating Harry some more.
He had read the book about what had happened. Apparently, the dark wizard Voldemort had shot a killing curse at him but it had been reflected back onto Voldemort and killed him instead, and Harry had been hailed as the savior of the wizarding world, personally, Harry found the story laughable. Obviously, it had been his parents who had done something. With his extremely rudimentary knowledge of runes, he knew that it was very easily possible to reflect the killing curse as long as there was an equal powering source, in this case, the taking of one soul, which considering both his parents died before him was quite possible yet all of the rune experts of the wizarding world were clueless about the possibility. Harry had vowed to do more research into runes and such.
Harry politely said that he didn't remember anything as he was but a baby at the time and the awkward silence returned.
A bushy-haired girl burst into their cabin, interrupting Harry's musing.
"Have you seen a toad, Neville's lost one." She said in a rush.
"No, but you could ask one of the older students to summon the toad," Harry suggested.
Harry had practiced a lot of spells but the summoning spell was 4th year, and quite a bit further than he had tried, though he knew the incantation.
"Oh, I didn't think of that, thanks!" the girl said and left.
"Mental, that one," Ron said rudely.
"She was only helping this Neville fellow," Harry defended her, lightly.
"Probably Neville Longbottom, the squib." Ron snorted unattractively.
Harry frowned slightly, "If Neville were a squib, he wouldn't be on the Express going to a school of Wizardry."
Ron rolled his eyes.
Harry found himself quite disliking Ron and his rude tendency to talk shit about people he didn't know.
Harry pulled out his book and started reading.
"Why're you reading?" Ron asked incredulously.
Harry looked over his book.
"To gain knowledge," Harry said, politely.
"But! But! You're Harry Potter, you can't be bookish!" Ron almost shouted.
Harry's expression hardened a bit and he looked back at his book.
He really didn't like the redhead's attitude toward books.
*** Hogwarts
With the rest of the students, Harry took the boats to Hogwarts.
He nodded politely at McGonagall while she was giving her 'House is family' speech.
He ignored Ron's exclamation that they would have to fight a troll.
He clapped after the hat's song and waited his turn, not showing any of the nervousness he was feeling about the sorting.
"Potter, Harry." Called out McGonagall.
Harry stepped forward confidently and walked up to the podium, ignoring Draco's 'you didn't tell me you were the Harry Potter!'
Harry sat on the stool and let the hat be put on his head, feeling nervous. He really disliked the idea of the hat being able to see all his memories.
"Oh ho, what do we have here! You'd be an amazing Slytherin…" the hat spoke in his head.
Harry agreed, personally, but he couldn't let himself be perceived as a 'filthy snake' by the rest of the school.
"You do know that that is even more reason to put you in Slytherin." The Hat sounded amused.
"I will be in Gryffindor." Harry thought back.
"Very well…" The hat sighed, "If you must, then, GRYFFINDOR!" the last word was shouted out.
Harry took off the hat and headed to the table which was dressed up in red and had two more red-heads shouting about how they got Potter and noted that Draco was looking disappointed at his sorted and a little disgusted.
Harry sat down next to Hermione, the bushy-haired girl from the train, who started rattling off what the books said about Harry.
Harry smiled lightly. "The books about me are all false."
Hermione looked almost comically enraged. "But books are always right!" she shouted.
Harry smiled. "Who was there to witness what actually happened that night."
Hermione frowned and fell into the trap, "You and Voldemort."
Harry inwardly laughed at all the flinches that people gave at the Dark Lord's name.
"I can assure you that I've never given an interview and Voldemort is dead, so where does your book get its facts from?"
Hermione looked extremely stunned.
"I-I…"
Harry smiled lightly at her, "Just something to think about."
*** Next Day
Harry woke up early at 5 am, and had a quick bath before returning and reading some more, practicing some late 1st year spells till 6:30-ish when some other boys in the dorm started to stir.
Harry headed down to breakfast early and had a quick and light breakfast before taking out his book on an art known as Occlumency and started reading.
He received his timetable, along with incredulous books from Ron, for reading a book and he went to his first class, Transfiguration with McGonagall.
He got to class, barely on time and waited for McGonagall to arrive before noticing a cat next to McGonagall's table and remembered that she was a cat animagus.
Harry winked at the cat, who stared at Harry.
Ron and another boy from Harry's dorm, Seamus, landed up late for class.
McGonagall transformed from the cat into herself and got a few screams and surprised looks.
She lectured them for a while before giving them a matchstick and telling them the incantation to turn it into a needle.
Harry took and deep breath and performed the transfiguration, pushing his magic into his wand, magnifying it and saying the incantation and imagining the needle he wanted, intricate and silver.
It took a long second, but the matchstick turned into a needle with a soft pop.
McGonagall swept over to Harry.
"5 points to Gryffindor, Mr. Potter, amazing needle, first try too! 5 more points because of the intricacy."
McGonagall just got back to the front of the class, as Hermione managed to finish her transfiguration.
"Ms. Granger's done it too! 5 more points to Gryffindor." McGonagall said pleased that 2 people had completed the complex transfiguration in such quick succession.
Harry worked on trying to make his transfiguration more intricate. He tried to engrave a pattern into his needle and managed, though he began to start sweating.
McGonagall picked up the engraved needle, admiring the pretty if simple pattern on the small needle.
"Good job, Mr. Potter, but remember not to exhaust yourself."

August 5, 2001 (Potter Manor)
It was a nice, warm August morning at Potter Manor. This goes double for one Lily Potter. For Lily, her life was perfect. She had an amazing husband who was due for a promotion to Auror captain at his job. She had a magnificent son who she loved with all her heart. In fact, that son just had a birthday a week ago and had turned 6 years old. She could not be more proud of the boy that Arthur was becoming. He was so sweet and kind to everyone he met. He was modest and gracious and got along with almost anyone. Lily would admit that when he was younger, she feared he would end up with too much of James's personality. Luckily that fear was unfounded. He had turned to take more after her even if he did like to perform more than the average amount of pranks and liked to fly a little too fast for her taste on his broom. Despite that, he was a great kid and she loved him.
If all this great news wasn't enough, she had just found out this morning that she was pregnant again? She hadn't told James yet because she wanted to confirm it for herself first. She was ecstatic when the healers at St. Mungos told her. Even more so when she found out that it would be a girl. Oh, how she couldn't wait! All this talk of babies was reminding her of when Arthur was a baby. When he took his first steps, when he said mama for the first time, that time he accidentally climbed on a broomstick and they couldn't get him down for an hour because he was moving too fast and giggling the entire time. Such good memories.
All these old memories were starting to get to Lily feeling nostalgic. She decided to go look at her old photo album of when Arthur was a baby. So she went upstairs to her room. She grabbed the book and went back down the stairs and sat back down on the couch. As soon as she opened the book she was confused. The picture was for the most part what she expected. It was her, James and Arthur looking at the camera and for the most part, smiling, or giggling in Arthur's case. What she didn't expect to see was another baby boy in the picture. This one, unlike Arthur, had hair as black as night and eyes that shined like emeralds. The baby boy had a smile on her face. As she looked at him confused, a single name popped I her mind.
'Harry'
With that name came other things. Memories and emotions she had once felt but had long since forgotten. She quickly flipped through the pages faster and faster looking for more pictures of this boy with her family as memories started to resurface the more she looked at him. As the years went on in the book, the boy was seen less and less. Not only was he seen less but his expression change. While it was first happy like any toddler should be, his smiles soon vanished only to be replaced by blank stares of no emotion almost as if he was dead. By the time they got too Arthurs 4th birthday, there were no more pictures of that black-haired little boy. As she tried to turn the page, she found that she couldn't. She looked at her hand to see that it was shaking. It was shaking uncontrollably and she couldn't stop it. Her vision started to blur and she couldn't seem to stop it. She felt water leak down her cheeks. She attempted to get up but her legs gave out from under her and she toppled to the ground. As soon as she hit the ground she wailed though not of pain but of sadness. She cried and cried and cried as more and more memories of her forgotten child entered her mind then suddenly seemed to stop after he hit the age of three which only made her cry some more.
After twenty minutes of crying a thought suddenly hit her.
'Where is Harry?!' she thought frantically. Suddenly her strength which seemed to have been lost seconds ago returned full force as she tore up the stairs. She checked every single bedroom they had and found nothing. She was really starting to panic as she got to the last door.
'Please God, let him be here' she prayed as she opened the last door. Behind the door was…no one. As she looked around she did see signs of life. Dishes that had disappeared without a trace long ago, books stacked neatly at the edge of the desk. A few old toys that clearly had seen better days. The room had clearly been abandoned long ago. Everything was covered in a thin layer of dust that seemed to coat the room like a blanket. Lily collapsed against the door frame and slowly slid down to the floor. Before letting unconsciousness take her, one thought went through her mind.
'What have I done?'
4:00 pm, same day
James just got home from a tiring day of filing papers at work. He was really trying his best to get that captain position which had been a dream of his since he joined the corps years ago. As he got home though, his raggedness seemed to evaporate as the first thing he did was look for his beautiful magnificent wife. Just as he was about to call out to her, he noticed something unusual about his home. There seemed to be something wrong in the way it looked. It was almost as if a feeling of dread and sadness wafted throughout the house like a late evening breeze. James couldn't remember the last time he felt such a feeling, it would have had to be in the war. This made him concerned.
"Lily, you there?" James yelled out as he started to look around the house. Since they lived in an actual Manor this was no easy feat.
"Lily come on your scaring me. Come on out." James yelled again as he grew slightly panicked. After checking the downstairs area, he decided to check upstairs. He was running now. As soon as he got to the hallway with all the bedrooms, he saw her. She was slumped against the guest bedroom door frame knocked out.
"LILY!" James screamed as he sprinted to her as fast he could, fearing the worst. As soon as he got to her he checked her heart rate and confirmed that she was still alive and sighed with relief as soon as he felt it beating.
"Lily come on wake up. You've got to wake up. You have to be okay. Lily please!" James pleaded to his knocked out wife. As he finished Lily's eyes fluttered open and looked at him. The red and puffy which made him think that she was crying recently.
"Lily, thank god you're okay. Why were you passed out? Are you okay? Are you hurt?" James asked as he hugged his wife to his chest as tight as he could without hurting her.
"James…" Lily whispered, "We forgot him….we forgot about Harry." Lily said. Her voice was completely devoid of all emotion as if someone came and literally drained her of all of them. James looked back at her confused.
"Who's Harry?" James asked, wondering if perhaps they had forgotten about an old friend and wondering why that would upset Lily so much. Lily simply looked at him and her eyes made James feel like he was being sucked a dark abyss full of sadness and loneliness. Lily didn't respond. She simply reached out for the photo album that had fallen on the floor about a foot away from her and gave it to James. James was confused about what the problem was. He opened the book and started to flip through the pages and immediately saw the problem. He too saw the little black-haired boy that he hadn't given a though too in years. He saw as the pages went the boy smiles slowly disappear. He knew then what was coming but still hoped against hope that they didn't forget one of their own flesh and blood. As he kept going through the pages though, his suspicions were proven correct. Harry disappeared completely from the book after Arthur's 4th birthday.
"Lily…where is he…Where's Harry?" James asked as his voice was hoarse with all the raw emotion he was feeling.
"He's gone" Lily whispered back as she clung to James a little tighter and tears started to appear in her eyes.
"Harry's gone."
6 pm, same day
Dumbledore was sitting in his office going over papers before the new school year started. He was sucking on a lemon drop and relaxing in his throne-like chair. That was until his fireplace roared to life and Lily and James appeared. That itself wasn't too out of the ordinary for Dumbledore as his favorite students did stop by every now and again to talk about Arthur and any news on him. He was about to greet both with a grandfatherly smile as he usually did until he took in their appearance. They both looked terrible. It was obvious both had been crying by their red puffy eyes and tear stains down their face.
"James, Lily what's wrong? Did something happen to Arthur." Dumbledore said getting to his feet just in case he needed to depart swiftly.
"Professor it's about Harry," James said back sullenly. Dumbledore was taken aback for a moment. He hadn't even heard a mention of the boy for many years now. He honestly couldn't remember the last time he had even seen the boy. He did relax a little though.
'At least Arthur is safe. Wouldn't have been good for the population if he died now before he could even complete his destiny.
"Ah, I see. How is Harry then? I must confess to not have remembered seeing him that often recently. He's alright I presume?" Dumbledore asked them both.
"He's gone," Lily said as she looked down. Dumbledore raised an eyebrow in confusion.
"Gone? What do you mean Lily?" Dumbledore asked her seeking to better understand the situation.
"I mean he's gone. We don't know where he is. We think he left a while ago." Lily said still looking only at the ground.
"I see. Well, what efforts have you made to find him?" Dumbledore asked. A sudden thought pierced his mind.
"He couldn't have been kidnapped could he?" Dumbledore now asked jumping at the possibility. While Harry most likely didn't have any information that could put the light side in jeopardy, if a dark family got hold of him, there was no telling how bad it could be especially since children tend to remember quite a bit subconsciously. This suggestion also seemed to also jolt Lily and James.
"You don't really think that could be possible do you, professor?" James asked regaining some of his voice as he suddenly filled with doubt.
"It is entirely possible. If a dark family got hold of him, there's no telling the damage they could do. Not only that but Harry has roughly around the same potential as Arthur if I remember correctly. Should he be raised by the dark, the damage this could cause if they teach him dark magic could astronomical." Dumbledore said as he thought about the situation more.
"Why would they train him in the Dark arts?" James questioned.
"It would be the perfect revenge against Arthur to force him to fight his own twin. With the Dark arts, it would be easy to mold a child into a weapon." Dumbledore said.
"Of course this is still just a theory. There is no guarantee that is what actually happened. Harry might have not been pleased with his home life and decided to leave. Children don't usually have much control of themselves so that is also possible. Either way, we must find him as soon as possible just in case and before he's put in any more danger. I assume you have already tried the tracker spell to try and locate him?" Dumbledore asked. Lily nodded in response to him.
"Hmmm that does not bode well but perhaps a more powerful variant that has an increased range will do the trick," Dumbledore said as he pulled out his wand. He raised his and made a few complex motions before whispering the spell
"Inveniet eam" he said clearly. His wand hovered in his hand before pointing in a direction. He was about to smile at the success of the spell until it did something unusual. His wand changed into an entirely different direction every 3 seconds. First North, then South-East and so on.
"Hmm, this is most unusual," Dumbledore said out loud.
"What? Did the spell work?" Lily asked impatiently.
"It's strange. It has locked onto the target but something seems to be causing its signal to be constantly thrown for a loop. Most interesting." Dumbledore said, truly fascinated by this turn of events.
"So you're saying you can't find him," Lily said starting to sulk again.
"Not immediately I can't but rest assured I will get in touch with all my contacts until Harry has been found and brought home safely," Dumbledore said as he tried to reassure both Potters.
"In the meantime, perhaps you should tell young Sirius and Remus about this so they can help you with your search." Dumbledore offered politely. Both Potters nodded before they left through to the fireplace and went presumably back home.
'Well that was interesting' thought Dumbledore as he slouched back into his throne-like chair.
'We must find and bring that boy back at all cost. Should he fall in the hands of the dark, he could become a real threat to our side' Dumbledore thought. He sat up and got up from his chair and moved to the fireplace. He reached out and grabbed a hand full of Floo powder and threw it in the fireplace. He had a few places to drop by too tonight.

Harry has been through a lot yet there are some perks to being as gifted as he is. So he's not going to just sit back and let the world shit on him. He's going to best the absolute best. The first few chapters are hard to read. Get past those and I promise it gets better. Also, I know the beginning sounds very cliche. It's explained later so try to stick with it. M for bad stuff

Larry is not talking to anyone. She started to behave like Severus. If someone tries to talk, she ignores them. Most of the time she pretends that she doesn't even exists.

"That day you told you're interested in our story. Is that true Neville?" Harry asked.

"Yeah. Who will not be? But-"

"But you were really stalking her. You're interested in her?" Harry questioned.

"Yes"

"She's totally lost. If you really like her, don't give up on her" Harry patted on Neville's shoulder.

"Yeah. That's what friends do. Will never give up on her"

-Gryffindor Common room-

"How you managed to control the snake?" Hermoine asked Ron.

"You mean Nagini? I don't know.Did I spoke Parseltongue?"

"I don't know. Larry only knew that. She was there when you were talking with that snake. Unfortunately, she is not talking to anyone. So we'll never know"

"Wait. Is that mean you're going to give up on her? She lost her only family"

"She got Harry. She never cared for him. She doesn't even asked him how he is doing" Hermoine shrugged.

"You're wrong Hermoine. She cares for everyone. The thing is she doesn't show it. Remember when she went to save Harry's god father alone?"

"Yeah. You're correct. She got us. We're her friends. We should never give up on her. It'll take some time for her to be normal. Until then we'll be with her" Hermoine held Ron's hands like she was promising.

-End of the first year-

-9 3/4th Platform-

"You should come stay with us" Sirius who's taking Harry to his home invited Larry.

"Take care of Harry. I have some work in Privet Drive" Larry whispered.

"Oh my god, Larry is talking. Everyone come and see" Ron teased her.

Larry stared at him.

"Hey you Ravenclaw boy, see our Larry is talking. Hello!! Hey!! See who is talking" Ron continued.

"Yes. I thought you would only shake your head. At last you managed to talk. I'm the dumb person and you're my speaker. You're supposed to talk for me" Harry hugged her.

"I know why you're going to Privet Drive. It is for Dursley's. I know you love them. They'll talk with you. They'll forgive you and they'll love you" Harry said.

"Who won't? Everyone loves you. We love you Larry" Hermoine hugged her.

"Love you Harry" Larry held Harry's hands.

"Consider the feeling is mutual" Harry smiled.

All four of them hugged before leaving.

-Privet Drive-

"Don't pretend like you're worried. You know we'll forgive you" Aunt Petunia told with hardened face.

"No. I lost… I lost everyone I loved" Larry eyes filled with tears.

"You lost your parents. So am I. I lost my twin sister, I lost my parents. But still I got my family and I got you. You got us" Petunia smiled at her.

"I lost more than you think. I lost my god father" Larry wiped her tears.

"Severus Snape is dead?" Petunia asked in shock.

Larry noticed tears rolling down her aunt's cheeks. She never seen her aunt cry in her whole life.

Aunt Petunia's feelings were mixed of anger and grief.

"Who the hell killed him? Who the hell killed my love??"

Twilight glows with a light golden colour as the sunset slowly disappears from the horizon of Grand House, 6 King's Road, London.
It is a classic English style villa, Spacious, Bright and Stylish
The three-story wall is covered with creeping ivy, the roof is covered with beautiful brown tiles, the grass and the flower bed in the yard were all neatly organized, a luxury Bentley car was parked outside the garage.
It was a gorgeous sunset picture, serene and tranquil.
On the third-floor balcony, a dark-haired boy is looking at an owl and he cannot tell the difference between it and any other owl.
Evan Mason Looked blankly at the owl with eyes full of curiosity. The owl is not extraordinary, it is just like any other bird that can be found in any other home, but on its talons was a brown envelope composed of thick parchment.
Evan has a peculiar feeling that the letter is for himself.
But he is not sure how to get it because the owl seems to want to get some kind of reward for itself and then it will be willing to hand over the letter.
"Hello there"
Evan said hello, trying to communicate with the other though it made him look silly.
"Hooo~"
The owl gently shouted, tilting its head looking at the boy's brown pupils, on full alert.
"Do not be nervous, I hold no ill will"
Evan tried to make his voice sound pleasant, he slowly extended his right hand, "I think the letter at your feet is written to me"
As he was about to voice his words, he was interrupted by a loud shout from downstairs. "My babiche, are you ready, we're already halfway out the door"
Then there was a sound of someone coming upstairs.
"oops, it's my mother, I cannot let her see you!"
Evan suddenly snapped back to his senses, and refused to try to communicate with the owl further, he swung his right hand to try to drive it away.
"Hooo!" The Offended owl hurried aside.
"Sorry, my mom is terrified of all kinds of birds, big and small, she sees them as the devil incarnate" Evan waved his hand while hurriedly explaining, "you have to get out of here!"
It seems that Evan's unwarranted move, finally convinced the owl, this boy will not give you anything to eat. A second later it fluttered its wings and flew up to peck Evan while throwing the letter to his feet.
"Ow!"
Evan shouted a painful cry while watching the owl fly out of the balcony like a whirlwind, disappearing from his eyes.
Before his mother came in, he bent down and picked up the envelope under his feet, written in emerald green ink it clearly read: Mr. Evan Mason, Third floor, 6 King's Road, Little Whinging, Surrey.
"This letter, as well as that owl just… …"
Evan narrowed his eyes, in front of these obviously very weird things, let him feel a deja vu familiarity.
"Evan, we have to be faster, your father has been waiting for us in the car." A well-dressed middle-aged woman came in with a slightly serious tone and said, "It is very rude to be late for someone's first visit"
"Got it, Mom"
Evan did not have time to ponder, she did not pay attention to the envelope stuffed in his pants pocket.
Their family had a small family gathering tonight with his father's business partner, to be more precise his father's construction company was preparing to buy a large number of rigs from the other.
Evan would normally not have to participate but the other family had a child one year older who so happened to just be in the Smeltings High School.
Evan is Eleven years old this year, and in a month or so he is going to further his studies at Smeltings High School, so his parents find it necessary to get him in contact with his future seniors.
"Mom, you have not told me what the name of my senior is"
Along the way, Evan felt that he had to divert attention away from the letter in his pocket, and he was not sure if he would tell his Parents about it until he had a clear idea of what the letter contained.
Maybe it was a bad joke made by someone and it is not necessary for my mother to worry about it.
"My babiche, I told you last week that the child's name is Dudley" answered Mrs. Mason, promptly
"Darling, I dare say, you're certain to be good friends," Mr Mason added while driving.
"Dudley Dursley, this really is a good name ah!" Evan went into deep thought
In fact, he does know a person who is also called that name.
If he remembers correctly, Dudley should have been a character in the Harry Potter Novels before he was reincarnated. In the book, Dudley is an overbearing, spoiled child, who made Harry's childhood way more tragic then it should have been.
Evan had a big impression of him, but it was not a good impression.
However, they were characters in a novel, although he reincarnated to eighties and nineties England. But there is no evidence that this is Harry Potter's magical world.
"Relax, it should just be the same name."
Evan tried hard to convince himself, but he was suspicious at the thought of seeing the owl just now.
Taking advantage of his parents not paying attention, Evan sneakily took out the letter in his pocket, quickly flipping the envelope over, the back of the envelope had a wax seal with a shield coat of arm, capital letter H around the circle a lion, an eagle, a badger, and a snake.
Evan widened his eyes, holding the envelope tightly, the letter read:
HOGWARTS SCHOOL of WITCHCRAFT and WIZARDRY
Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore
(Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc., Chf. Warlock,
Supreme Mugwump, International Confed. of Wizards)
Dear Mr. Mason
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July.

Deputy Headmistress
God, this is a letter of entry to Hogwarts, he should have expected it, other than a magic school, who else would send an owl with mail.
"Dear, you do not have to be so nervous" Mrs. Mason turned and whispered, "I heard your daddy say that the Dursley's are very friendly and Dudley is also a polite child, you will love him as a new friend"
"Yes, mom," Evan replied unconsciously. "I'm not nervous, I'm just excited"
In the past eleven years, he has been preparing himself for the future according to the familiar real world, now that he is told that this is a totally foreign world of magic. "Is this not a joke?"
Fortunately, before he reincarnated, he was very fond of harry potter novels and familiar with the contents. Even if he could not remember all of the plots, he could more or less recall the events.
The question now is how will I tell my parents about this.
Also, if he is not wrong, he will be able to see Harry Potter in addition to the Dursley's.
As Evan pondered about this his father slowly stopped the car and softly said, "Darling we're here, Privet Drive on the 4th!"
