I wouldn't say they were sold within seconds, but it was close." Ling Tianya slowly sipped on some hot water. "I saw you carrying my books around recently. At first, I thought you were really a fan. Then, I accidentally discovered that all those hardcover books you had were in Chinese."
Yi Tian's face went stiff,and she started to look around with a guilty conscience. She was afraid that Ling Tianya's words were heard by others.
Ling Tianya chuckled. "The contract on hardcover Chinese editions has just been signed. It is estimated that it will take at least a month before the books are printed, packaged, and put on sale. You, Miss Yi, already have your hands on them. That is really amazing."
"Miss Ling, there's nothing amazing about it. It is called piracy!" Zhang Ke said sarcastically.
Yi Tian's expression completely froze. The way she looked at Ling Tianya was no longer pitiful like before. Yi Tian couldn't remain calm regardless of how strong she was inside. Being publicly debunked by the book author as a fake fan like that was a shock.
Li Fei couldn't even handle such an easy task! She got her pirated books and she was exposed by Ling Tianya herself!
Yi Tian's mind was racing rapidly, as she tried to salvage her image.
"Miss Yi Tian is a fake fan?" The small bodyguard looked at Yi Tian in disbelief. The admiration and concern she showed toward Ling Tianya didn't seem fake. It must be that Miss Yi's was poor and couldn't afford the genuine books, or that she was cheated.
"Miss Ling, it's a misunderstanding. The books I brought with me were indeed pirated. That's because my English is not very good, and I can't read the English books entirely. I really have your genuine books, and I have them all at home, never opened. I valued each one of your books very much, and it took me a lot of effort to get them in the first place!" "Hello, Mr. Lee. It's a pleasure." Tayaw reached out his hand from the backseat, which Dae Ho shook.  "Likewise. Despite how much I wanted Chala to shut up about you, I have to admit, I regret not being able to work with you after I saw your book." Dae Ho complimented and gave Chala a drive-by as well. "Thank you. Maybe in the future, I can contact you if I write another book."  Tayaw replied teasing Chala. "That would be nice." Dae Ho said going along with the joke.
"Hah! Even if you're not kidding, what are you going to do? Drop your clients who are paying you just fine? You know it's rare for us to find decent authors." Chala said not willing to lose the game. "Come on. At least you're independent. My agency, on the other hand is eating a large part of my pies. I can't simply quit either because they have me by the balls with my shares of the royalties." Dae Ho expressed his frustrations. "That's why I quit the agency those years ago once I realized how their system worked. If I knew I can take care of you, I would have encouraged you to quit with me as well." Chala comforted in understanding. 
Meanwhile, Tayaw who was listening in the back seat noticed the south Teungeb accent from Dae Ho, and found it interesting. Foreigners when learning Teungebian usually pick up Northern accents like Tayaw's Nabla – Ouigab accent. Teungeb's Northern regions are where foreigners usually find work due its more internationally engaged industries like education, tech companies, sports, movies and fashion. Dae Ho, with his southern accent, must have been a part of those foreign ventures that engage themselves in the research, manufacturing and farming industries of South Teungeb.  
"By the way Tayaw, have you heard about Janus Paranik, the author of those basketball novels? Dae Ho here is his agent." Chala said trying to pull Tayaw in the conversation. "I see. Although I have not read his books, I have heard of Janus, he's one of Ouigab's prides after all. Is he releasing a new book, Mr. Lee?" Tayaw connected the dots.  "Yes. I visited him today as he just finished his manuscript. You should read Janus' books if you want to have an idea how to write sports novels. " Dae Ho confirmed. "I will." Tayaw politely agreed, even though he's not really a fan of the genre. "I'll give you a copy when it's printed out. I enjoyed the copy of your books that Chala gave me." Dae Ho said as he sincerely appreciated Tayaw's books. The two continued to talk about Janus' books until Chala cannot listen any longer. 
"Enough, Lee. Why is it that every time we meet, all you want to talk about is books? I brought you here for drinks!" Chala wanted to change the topic. "Just in time then, the bar just opened. Shall we? I have to prepare for tonight as well." Tayaw said as he pointed at the opened front door of the bar. The trio exited the car and went to look for a table at the bar room. Tayaw proceeded to the green room to check tonight's line-up to introduce to the customers. 
Tayaw's gig tonight is comprised mostly of lively songs. He performed acoustic covers of some popular dance and disco songs. Even though disco has had a relatively short popularity in Teungeb compared to rock and RnB, Tayaw's songs tonight still brought unexpected nostalgia to the customers. His arrangement of the songs also received a warm response from other musicians in the green room. After his gig, he spent a few minutes in the green room among the musicians, and excused himself shortly thereafter. After receiving his pay from Rudy, Tayaw headed to the bar room to also bid farewell to Chala and Dae Ho as he knew that the two will have a long evening. "Chala, don't forget to call for a designated driver. Mr. Lee, it's a pleasure meeting you. I have to excuse myself for tonight. I have to go home for some reading as I still have some assignments to finish." The two also understood Tayaw's situation and said their goodbyes. 
October 1, half a month after his books hit the shelves, Tayaw woke up in his new accommodation. The two month rent deposit in his previous dorm ran out the day before so he decided to find a studio apartment a few days ago and moved in early. The new place, just like his old dorm, is a five-minute brisk walk from Northwestern campus. It is also closer to more places he needs like the grocery store, a few restaurants and cafes, and the stationery store. The reason he chose to live alone is so that he can have more privacy and a better sound insulation so he can practice his guitar and vocals more. He did not forget to notify his parents of his move, but lied about the place being a dorm room instead of a studio apartment. 
Over the past half-month, Tayaw was also monitoring the View Points in his eyes. He currently has over 45,000 View Points. This gave him a mixture of pleasant feelings.  45,000 individual positive responses for the last half a month is a huge deal for him. He does not know the breakdown of his View Points but the total is enough to satisfy him greatly. He was pulled out of his thoughts by a text from Chala. "Good morning, Tayaw. Topaz sent the statistics of the book sales to your e-mail. Who knows, maybe you already paid back the credit given to you by Topaz." This reminded Tayaw. He also hopes Chala's optimistic estimate is the case as well. 
After classes, Tayaw went to a coffee shop near his apartment. After he ordered his drink, he connected his laptop to the shop's wi-fi to check his e-mail. Clicking on Topaz's e-mail, a pdf file of September's nationwide sales of Grimm's Fairy Tales is attached. The Children's version has sold about 14000 paperback copies and about 1000 hardcover copies, totaling to a little more than 15000. The adults' version has sold about 11000 paperback copies and 1300 hardcover copies totaling to around 12300 copies. This brought a pleasant surprise to Tayaw. This is a little better than his estimates of the book sales he based from his View Points. Both versions' paperback copies are priced at 24.99 and hardcover copies at 34.99 at stores, with Topaz selling the books to those stores at net prices of 12.50 BGC for the paperback and 17.50 for the hardcover. 
The calculation of his cut from the Children's version is as follows. The first 3500 paperback sales netted him 4,375 BGC from his 10% royalty on net paperback sales. The next 7000 paperback sales netted him 13,125 BGC from his royalty increase to 15%. Then the final 3500 paperback sales netted him 8,750 from his royalty increased to 20%. The hardcover sales netted him 2,600 BGC from his 15% royalty on net hardcover sales. Adding all up, Tayaw earned a total of 29,210 BGC in royalties on the 15000 books sold.  Deducting the 12000 credit Topaz Publishing gave him when he signed with them, and Chala's 18% share of 5,250 BGC from what Tayaw earned, a total of 11,940 BGC is to be Tayaw's.
The calculation of his cut from the Adults' version is as follows. The first 3500 paperback sales netted him 4,375 BGC from his 10% royalty on net sales. The next 7000 paperback sales netted him 13,125 BGC from the increased royalty to 15%. The remaining 500 paperback sales netted him 1,250 BGC from the increased royalty of 20%.  The hardcover sales netted him 3,410 BGC from his 15% royalty share from net hardcover sales. Adding all up, He earned a total of 22,150 BGC  from the adults' version sales. Deducting the 12,000 BGC credited by Topaz and Chala's 2,650 BGC from his share of 12% of whatever Tayaw earned in the adult version's sales royalties, 7,500 BGC would be Tayaw's. 
From what Tayaw can figure, the reason why the adult version sold much more than he expected is because of the beautiful cover of the book. Teungeb has a current population of 120,000,000. Out of the 120 million people, he does not know how many children and parents there are. What he knows though however is that the 27000 books sold is still very far from reaching the saturation point, therefore there are still millions in his country who has not seen his stories yet.
Satisfied with the numbers sent by Topaz, Tayaw headed to the nearest ATM machine to check his balance. 41,312 BGC. Never in his previous life would he expect to have this much money even after a five years in the work force. The combined up-front payment of 20,000 for his two books paid by Topaz after the book deal was finalized was basically untouched. The "off the books" gift of 4000 BGC from Topaz was used by Tayaw as a two month rent deposit for his studio apartment. With his expenses as a college student, the average 350 BGC per gig he receives from Rudy is more than enough for him to pay for his generous daily food budget of 20 BGC. In fact, Rudy was satisfied in his performances in September so he decided to hire Tayaw again. He wanted to offer Tayaw the weekend gigs as well but Amelie beat Tayaw into it. Rudy has no choice but to offer Tayaw his previous Tuesday – Wednesday night schedule, which Tayaw also accepted.  This is also the reason why Tayaw spoke to his parents to not worry about his daily expenses anymore with the excuse of "I still have plenty of savings". 
Regarding his situation as a musician, he knows he is very fortunate. Usually for both solo musicians and bands, they work hard for a day or two practicing, arranging, and preparing just for an hour of gig. Tayaw, on the other hand already has plenty of experience arranging songs and plenty of practice from his previous life. He and the Percussive Corrections also experienced this when they were starting out. It was only because they were all talented musicians and passionate for music that they all got by. His current self, however is different. All he has to do is to brush up on the songs he arranged himself in his previous life or choose songs he knows he can easily arrange. After doing so, he will practice them for an hour or two before his gig on the same day. Tayaw can save up days' worth of work in his gigs.  
Thinking of these things, he strolled back to his apartment. He still has home-works and projects to finish and submit before the start of the preliminary exams.

The Black Knights and drones herded about a dozen women to the hall of the school's teaching building. At this time, more than ten men who were bloodied lay sprawling across the hall.
Among these people, the injured ones sat where they were, quietly whimpering in pain while the uninjured or less injured ones were busy with medical care and treatment.
As the two groups of people met, many trembling women threw themselves into the arms of their male partners, crying and wailing loudly.
"Chen Chen-kun, no, Your Excellency Chen Chen, these women are innocent!"

"No, if he wants to run, just let him run."
Chen Chen laughed icily and turned his gaze to the people in the hall. "Anyway, there are so many people here. We won't miss him."
However, Fujiwara Aoki did not intend to escape. Within ten minutes, he walked over with a thick hardcover book, which seemed to have a lot of materials stuffed between its pages. The reason they chose a hardcover book should be for preservation purposes.

This was his trick; he used the simplest way to sell them. All the books were classified into multiple packages and then they started to sell them to libraries

He called to all the schools and universities in Flagstaff, including elementary schools, high schools, and colleges. He also gave a call to the schools and universities located near Flagstaff.

They only spent a morning selling all the books. Compared to the time they spent classifying the books, it took a much shorter time.

He thought the three men looked like gangsters, a big boss with two sidekicks.

The middle-aged man stood up and took the initiative to reach out to him. "Lewis, Matt Lewis, a passionate learner of ancient Egyptian history and the civilization of the Euphrates River from the History department of the University of Arizona. Are you Mr. Hans Fox?"

Hans nodded. "Nice to meet you, Professor Lewis. You look very brawny."

The African American laughed, "History needs to be explored. We need to keep our bodies strong to work in archeology. If you think that the scholars are old or weak, then you are wrong."

"You must have made a lot of achievements in archeology." Hans took out the photo album and asked, "Are these things necessary for archeology as well?"

Seeing the album, Lewis’s eyes lit up. He said, "I must look carefully."

Hans took out two photos and passed them to him. He said, "If I am not mistaken, the pictures are worthless. However, some of the words on the pictures are worth a fortune."

There were many buildings on the photo. The buildings appeared damaged and engraved with hieroglyphs.

One of the pictures he took out was of a sphinx without text and another one was of a building. There were some hieroglyphs engraved on the building.

Lewis took the photos and looked at the back side of the them. He held a small lamp with his hand. With the light, two lines of words appeared behind the photo. Li Du had a look at the words and believed that they were written in French.

"Maxime Du Camp and Gustave Flaubert. These are their photos." The black felt satisfied after he had a look at the photos. 

Li Du asked curiously, "Who are they? Are they explorers?"

Lewis shook his head. "No, they are a photographer and a writer. The photographer and writer who first explored ancient Egypt and captured the photos by using photography techniques." 

"According to the history books, Maxime’s father was a wealthy surgeon in France. He came into contact with the camera since youth. It was possible he was one of the first people to come into contact with the camera, as photography techniques had just been invented."

"Between 1849 and 1851, Maxime was funded by the French government to present an in-depth exploration of ancient Egypt with his friend, Flaubert, who was a writer."

I read through that letter again and again as if searching for something that would suggest me how he got news of this so quickly. I started recalling every incident that occurred yesterday and the only conclusion I reached was, it was because of him that Zero died. It all became clear when I noticed that the letter mentioned Zero's parents but the only thing which was still a secret was, Who was Bling? 
While I was scanning the letter again and again, I noticed a black colored card with something inscribed on it with golden ink. It was looking suspicious, I left the letter on my table and picked the card immediately. Card had a strange vibe about it, I inspected it and checked it from all angles. I saw a little inscription on the bottom left corner on the back, [ Recall ]. 
 The card had my name and age inscribed on it but the thing that looked strange to me was the [Task]. I couldn't even understand what was going on when I realized timer was ticking and was about to turn 0, I started freaking out and threw the card on the floor. I picked letter again and started analyzing it again, I started reading it again, sweat falling from my cheeks, hands trembling, letter shaking. I noticed card had started blinking and 5 seconds were left. 
5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Panicking, I started shouting unconsciously, "Is it a bomb!? No, I don't wanna die, someone help please save me, help, someone out there!?" Nothing happened, I was standing near my desk like a fool, my hands still trembling. I heaved a sigh of relief when I noticed card was still blinking. Letter still in the hand, I bent over to pick up the card when another thing fallen on my head. It was a notebook but strange enough, I didn't had any notebooks near me. I opened it up and started flipping through pages. It was a black hardcover notebook with strange symbol on the cover. Something was inscribed just below the symbol, [Recall]. I became more confused with these strange things happening. 
I squatted down and picked up card while having both, letter and notebook, still in left hand. The moment I picked up the card, a sudden flash occurred. I couldn't understand what was happening. My body started getting chilly, feeling scared, I started shouting, I was panicking and crying on the spot. I fell on the spot and lost my consciousness.
"Ah, my head hurts. What was that strange flash?" I opened my eyes. Still not being able to process events that occurred in last 15 minutes, I tried getting up. My eyes were still half closed and I felt like my body was a bit smaller. When my eyes were completely open I realized I was not at my house anymore..... or I actually was at my house but from 7 years ago when I was still living with my parents. I looked around my room recalling how my room looked like. While my eyes went from one place to another, I noticed a kid having his head down near my bed sitting on the floor. Not being able to recognize who it was, I tapped on the kid's shoulder. 
Lifting his head slowly, kid said "Are you awake Sia?". 
"Yes,  but who are you?", I replied to him feeling uncomfortable.
"Um, I think that fall was actually pretty dangerous. I'm Zero, your neighbor."
I was still looking around my room when I heard his name, Zero. Didn't Zero die yesterday, how is he still alive and why am I in my room from 7 years ago. What the fuck is happening? It was all blurry and I couldn't understand a thing.
"I'll call your mother, you can rest." he said. "Oh yeah, you had these in your hands when I found you." handing out a letter, card and that hardcover notebook.
"Thanks." I said. Zero started leaving when I stopped him, "Zero, wait."
"Yeah?"
"Can you tell me what date it is today? I am still a bit dizzy."
"Oh! It is 12th June 2021. Are you feeling fine, though? Shall I ask your mother to call a doctor? She'll be here in a moment." 
"Ah, I am fine. Don't worry, no need for a doctor either. You can leave now."
"Ok, bye. Call me if something goes wrong I'll be here ASAP.", Zero said while moving out of the room.
I heard a sound, clack and thud of the door. Zero had left. I was still feeling a bit uneasy so I avoided any extra movements and took a look at the stuff Zero had left. Card was still the same, but the time statement wasn't there anymore. Letter was slightly damaged but words were clear. Lastly, notebook was still intact, without even a scratch as if it was bought just now. I opened the notebook again, turning the cover, I noticed something written on the inner side of the cover, [ Owner: Sia | Task: {Recalled} ]. I couldn't understand anything when I noticed something else written on the bottom left corner, [Recall]. This was my fourth time reading this. 
Feeling tired, I placed everything on the table and tried sorting everything in my head.
1. Zero died by the hands of bullies.
2. Everything related to Zero disappeared.
3. I received a strange envelope from my teacher. 
4. Envelope had a letter sent by someone called Bling, a card, and a hardcover notebook.
5. When I held everything together, I was sent 7 years back in time with a task, [Recalled].
"What the fuck is going on!? How the hell this all happened!? How did I end up like this!? Who the fuck is this Bling!? Who sent me that envelope!?" I started getting more confused. Suddenly I heard another thud of the door. I felt scared and tried hiding when I heard someone call my name, "Sia, are you up? How are you feeling now?" 
Hearing that voice, I realized it was my mother. I replied, "Yes mother, I am feeling good."
Mother entered my room, "What were you doing out in the park lying on the floor? Zero called me and asked to rush back, you're fine, right?"
"Yes mother, I am perfectly fine. You don't have to be this alarmed."
"If you say so. Remember if something happens you have to call me that instant. So what do you wanna eat?"
"I want to have some chocolate cake." I still remember, my mother's chocolate cake was the best. She used to make it every time I got sick. 
"Chocolate cake, it is then. I'll make it real quick just you wait."
Mother left the room to make the cake. I repicked contents of the envelope. I reopened the notebook and checked the cover. When I looked at it carefully, I saw a small square, something was inscribed above it, [ Put your thumb to refresh the bios. ] I placed my thumb on the square. A blue light appeared and my thumbprint was recorded. Cover started changing. It became white in color with a black logo in the center. Below the logo, it was written, [ Recall ]. I was feeling sick of reading the word again and again. I flipped to the page 1. It was a strange page. Some stuff was written on it,  "Recall has been finished. Say, Status to check your status window."
Everything that happened till now seemed as if I was in a fiction novel. It was far too unreal and I even thought it was a dream. I tried pinching myself and I felt pain too, meaning, it was not a dream and everything happening was real. I said, "Status". A black window appeared. It was similar to that card, with black background and gold inscriptions. 
I read the [Status]. It all looked like a game. I tried saying [Explain Detect], a new screen popped up. It read, "Detect [Max] : Say detect while looking at someone to know about their thoughts and feelings." It looked as if a skill out of a game. I tried saying [Explain Alter], another screen replaced current once, it read, "Extract [Max] : Say extract while looking at someone and get logs of what they will do on that day in [The Note]. Edit it using [ Alter ]. And lastly, [Explain Alter ], same thing happened and another screen popped, it read, "Alter [Max] : Use the pen available at the end of [ The Note ] to make changes in logs of a person. ( Can be used only once a day. ).

Story focuses on Sia and Zero. Sia watches Zero die right in front of him by the hands of bullies and the next day, her teacher gives her a suspicious looking package. In the package she finds a letter, a golden card and something too, a new character called Bling. Next time Sia wakes up, she went back 7 years in time without a task given to her.

First Entry: My 9th Birthday Party
Day 23 Earth (Morning)
My name is Lillian Wicca Bright and today is my 9th birthday. The first gift I received today was a hardcover book from my mother Lilith. She told me to write all my thoughts and feelings into it, so here I go.....

Honestly, I'm not looking forward to my birthday party today, mostly because my father's family members will be attending as usual. It's not that I dislike my uncles, aunts and cousins is more so they seemed to don't like me. For some odd reason my uncles, aunts, and cousins are all hostile towards me, my mother and mother's relatives. All my mother's relatives are good people. They are such funny, creative and energetic individuals. I enjoy each and every activity with them, even my boring mandatory lessons.

 Although my father's parents and my fourth uncle love me and my mother a lot. I just don't understand why my other relatives reacts the way they do. Maybe it's just a royal thing. I was told some nobles that believe in marrying those whom are born of a lesser status than themselves.

This a not a novel or short story. Each chapter are represent as diary entries based on a young royal thoughts and experiences. She not only talks about herself as a royal,  she writes about the life as a descendant of one of the first magical beings. Her diary also doubles as her writing journal, where she makes notes of all herbs, animals and fae creatures that she has encountered. Along with a few magical spells and potions. 

This world's calendar is based on a week with six days. Seasonal months that consist of 91-92 days. Each day is based on a innate magic talent. Light is Monday. Water is Tuesday. Earth is Wednesday. Wind is Thursday. Fire is Friday. Saturday is Dark.
