As life is full of simple stuffs, Z managed to live for almost 17 years of her life only being contented with her family. Not until the time she was about to face the reality everyone needs to experience. Learning to earn friends, companions, and to understand more about the world aren't easy for her. Where she seeks important things a person can tame, finding a happiness through patience without being lonely. As for now, she would always thought that her life was already complete, not minding the others, just her, being happy in her own way. But the question is,

"How good at being happy you can be?"

life hasn't been the best, Yuuki and her brother Conner hadn't had the best. being left alone without money the two can't find much happiness except in each others happiness. until a strange woman came into their life.

Late into the night, Yu Sha finally fell asleep. It was then Yu Ping took off for a night stroll. Benzo and Saveria took turns to stand guard.
In another city, at a different direction, where the land ran endlessly without civilization, Yu Ping came upon a place that stood alone by itself, like a colony of its own. From a far distance at the treetop, he glared at it for sometimes before proceeding forward. It had top-notch security, more so than when he last visited. He shouldn't have taunted them last time. But soon, a corner of his mouth curved as he took off towards the place.
As he approached the place, it seemed like the security was loosened and soon, he swiftly landed on a nice flat roof top. 
Unexpectedly, there was already another person enjoying themselves on a table, sipping teas and reading off from a device. This sight startled Yu Ping momentarily. "What... kind of weirdo is having a tea party at this time?"
The man paused and looked up as he replied. "The night is my domain." If he had gone to sleep, security would tighten more versus if he was still up. As a night owl, he usually doesn't sleep until the wee hour of the night. As soon as he sensed Yu Ping heading at his direction, he had to somehow loosened security.
"Care to join?" Hue Chi asked.
Yu Ping huffed. "Hmph... I'm not here to have fun." 
In fact, Hue Chi knew that Yu Ping must have come to discuss the event that took place earlier in the day with Akazan. "My apology for what happened today."
"Hmph.. So you knew."
"It was not authorized by me nor do I agree with it."
"To hold a title as Crowned Prince and you can't even control your men." Yu Ping scorned. He figured sooner or later, the royal will start finding troubles for Yu Sha. As the person who put her in the situation at the first place, he had to make sure that she was not trouble by him. 
A corner of Hue Chi's lips curved slightly, filled with bittersweet. "In fact, you could be right." What's the meaning of holding a title that came with status and wealth when one can't simply pick a single person to cherish? Would it be the opposite way if he abandoned this title? It was a thought he had entertained from time to time. 
Initially, because he was a nobody, he couldn't have her. Then lifetimes later, it was because he was a somebody that held high position, he couldn't be with her. He thought that if he attained the world, he could command all lives within it, but in the midst of proving his power, she vanished from him.
Hue Chi pulled in closer to the table and brushed his fingers through the side of his head in an attempted to hold in all the pent-up frustrations through the lifetimes. In this moment, although brief, Yu Ping caught a glimpse of the heavy loneliness projected from Hue Chi's eyes that left him conflicted. 
As a person who also carried a heavy burden, unable to tell the world, Yu Ping could only sympathize, that although he does not like Hue Chi, the dude must have felt alone in this world. A world that seemed to worship him, but no one understood him on an emotional, mental, physical and spiritual level. 
As much as it pained him to accept this truth, he realized why Hue Chi was drawn to Yu Sha and that he genuinely, desperately liked her just as he declared to his nation. She was a person who usually appeared obnoxious and crazy, but once one truly gets to know and be around her, one could see that she was filled with sincerity and empathy. Even for a stranger, she would go out of her way to bring them to the light and shared her world with them. That was just how she had always been and being the person who grew up alongside her, he should know her best. 
He thought he would come here today to make it clear cut to Hue Chi to keep his men in check, but in the end, he didn't have the courage to make a demand. If he was to distant himself from the world and the people he cared deeply for, then shouldn't he at least grant them a wish most important to them as a parting gift? 
After an internal battle, Yu Ping asked, "She likes to put up a front to hide her vulnerability, but she is compassionate and too caring for her own good. She likes to stick her nose in other people's business because she has good intention to help them. If she chooses you, I hope you cherish her well." 
Hue Chi's eyes flung as Yu Ping gave his blessings. Before he could say anything, Yu Ping vanished. 
For Yu Ping, the last time on the deck, when Yu Sha and Hue Chi looked at each other, he could tell that Hue Chi meant something to her. And if Hue Chi was her happiness, then she should be allowed to love him because wanting her to find happiness was all they wanted.
He couldn't imagine the feeling of being born, burdened and haunted by a past that one had no recollection of. And that was her childhood, being tormented by the past that the her now was not a part of. And because of that, they were overly protected of her smiles to the point they constantly drilled to her that they wanted her to be free and happy, yet by chance if Hue Chi was her happiness, then they shouldn't object.
Life isn't fair, that happiness was hard to attain without work, tears and sacrifices. It came in fleeting moments only like the wind and the happiness moment was stamped in time, while the world continued to move forward thus making that specific moment a past that we couldn't touch or hold on to. And that is what why happiness was so precious because it's a state of feeling was short lived. 
Yu Peng stopped on a treetop overlooking the limitless land. In a couple months, he would turn twenty-one and take upon the fate that was bestowed to him.

The hospital was where they met and became good friends. They attended the same classes and schools. Upon graduating early, they embarked on a journey to stardom to build Su Na’s empire. 


Hue Chi, Prince of Aires, had everything anyone could dream of but carried an illness to himself. The woman that haunted him in his sleep, who was she? How was she able to control his emotions, waking him up in the middle of the night, sometimes, in terror, in pain, and sometimes in happiness? The emotions she elicits locked his heart cold, unable to like any other woman, thus distancing himself from others. People are scared to approach him due to the distant and icy auras around him. 

Just as the universe planned it, Yu Sha and Su Na won their bid on a project in Aires, which will require them to live in Aires for at least half a year. As Prince of an entire continent, he felt unsettled of two young female prodigies. Do they come with hidden motives? Not sure if they have anything to do with the secret organization he has been after, he ordered them to fly into Aires for a meet and greet with the investors and other companies involved in the project. 

Unforeseen in his calculation, his eyes drifted towards her anytime she was nearby. He reasoned with himself that he just wanted to make sure of her status and purpose, but somewhere in his heart, he couldn’t gravitate away. The way she talked, her behaviors, her voice, and demeanor elicited the same emotions of the woman that haunted him in his dreams. 

Some may think destiny is cruel and some may think that destiny is kind for playing with people’s heart, as it seemed the world was not small enough to allow them to be lovers, but not wide enough so their path will never cross.

Of course, shopping trips with Yae tended to condense into eating trips anyway.

After the shop, we retired to an inn and dined in a private room. It had a quite Eastern flair, though I supposed it had more to do with most of Berge's buildings made out of wood rather than stone. The private room had cushions and a low table rather than chairs. I suppose that was to make it easier for all manners of tails and legs between the different types of beastkin. Everyone can sit on their butt, not everyone could fit into a chair. It equalized heights for taking food from the table, a problem when there were many full-grown beastkin only as big as human children and many others larger that would barely fit into a room.

I lounged on the floor, lying down on my side, lightly sipping fruit wine from a small glass. Yae was unhesitatingly partaking of dinner – which had traditionally been an afternoon meal, supper was the evening meal.

Being around Yae was relaxing. She was being that exerted no pressure. A perfect vassal imposes no burden on their lord, after all.  There was no date-like feeling here, but it didn't feel like a business trip either. It was just a… something.

For example, while being around Elze was comfy, she would get bored eventually and want to do something. Linze was fine with sitting down with a good book, but it was better if she could snuggle. Yumina was just amusing to troll.

Briefly I wondered about how I could keep them entertained if we lived in the modern world. Elze was such a bro, we would probably play Counter-Strike or ARMA or something and she'd trash-talk about how she was carrying my weaksauce ass through the rankings. Linze would still be comfortable with a book, but perhaps she'd find it good to try writing one. Linze likes to be romanced, so I suppose giving her a variety of experiences and new places to visit would be important material for her novel research.

Yumina would somehow be some rich corporate giant's kid – and she'd still love to appreciate talent and creativity in others. She'd be hiding an addiction to manga and comic books and at night would shitpost on the internet about boardroom interference and corporate shills. I would be totally enabling those shameful habits.

Charlotte and Leene would have this odd bdsm-like relationship that I would not tolerate, get out of my house you perverted old woman!

Wait, why did this imply that Charlotte would be living with me? Ugh. Charlotte was this perfect combination of terrifying and vulnerable that if I didn't have Monika I'd be totally all about that.

Yae would remain the same, I thought. A kendoka no matter what world. Buy her food and she's your friend. I grinned.

"W-what is wrong, Playa-dono?"

"Nothing. I was going to say that I like seeing you eat… but that's not so accurate." I rested my chin on an open palm. "I like seeing you *happy*."

She hid her face behind her hand holding a pair of chopsticks. "… I do not how how to respond to that, I do not."

"Mmm. Zen only seeks to live in the moment, happiness is *not* required. Duty does not require happiness either. Even if some say enlightenment is a state of absolute bliss… isn't seeking enlightenment all about not being chained down by emotions? Contentment, yes. Happiness, no." I reached out to snag some crispy roasted pork. "Eating well, being happy… is it a tradition in your family to fight hard, eat hard, enjoy life and never fear death?"

"That is indeed so, Playa-dono. But one should not lose their edge in their vices, they should not."

I glanced towards the pair of swords resting on the corner of the room. Yae was a killer, not a murderer. Murderers were stupid amateurs. Hmm.

"Is foodlust a better way to temper your resolve than bloodlust? Is that the reason?"

"Because food is delicious!" Yae slammed her fists on the table. "EATING IS GREAT! TRAIN HARD SO YOU WILL NEVER GET FAT! WAKE UP SO YOU GET TO EAT! IF YOU ARE NOT HUNGRY, YOU DID NOT TRAIN HARD ENOUGH! THE VOID INSIDE IS HUNGER, FILL IT! THE BEST TRAINING METHOD, IT IS!"

"…"

"…"

We stared at each other, daring the other to show the first sign of embarrassment.

"That sounds reasonable," I said evenly.

Yae's smile was like the full moon. Not as bright and warm like the sun like Sue, or dark and full of promise like Monika, but wide and confident yet lacking all arrogance.

Like some sort of lonely moon.

"I am happy you understand, Playa-dono!"

To journey so far across a continent, a young woman alone in search of strength on a mere hint from her father, that sort of obsessiveness was not something you could call normal either.

I chuckled again, and yawned. "It's fine to indulge," I said. "We won't always have the time for this."

She nodded somberly. "Soon enough there will be war. We only have one rule – eat what is in front of you. The more, the better. But no one can afford to be picky. In times of war, eating and resting become luxuries, that is so."

My smile lacked all humor. "Killing is easy. Living in peace is not. Learn to cherish your peace while you still can."

Yae looked down at the food the table. Eating alone was not enjoyable. Just like drinking alone was harming oneself. "Making enemies is easy. Finding worthy opponents is not. Cherish your comrades while you still can…" she whispered.

Right. Unlike Linze and Elze and Monika, Yae was someone who would have to go home at some point. Belfast was not her home, there was no reason for her to stick around for the long term. Yumina certainly wouldn't be going away, she had Princessly duties. As long as I was emotionally attached to Belfast, this was probably going to be where I would grow old and die.

Yae after this adventure would have to go home, probably at some point get married to some lord to secure her clan's future, and lay down her sword.

"Yeah…" I whispered in return. "Finding pleasure is easy. Achieving happiness is hard. Cherish your springtime while you're still in bloom."

Yae closed her eyes for a moment and took a deep breath. Then she smiled impishly. "Spending money is easy. Earning money is hard. Cherish what you have while you still have funds."

Hoooh? "Eating meat is easy. Digesting it is hard. Practice your sword while you're not on the can."

"Hiding your face is easy. Being born handsome is hard. Cherish your looks while you do not know, you should."

Hahaha, nice. Just because Yae was a sword fanatic, doesn't mean she's dumb. Wordplay was a great hobby for samurai too. Just because she is passive most of the time, doesn't mean she's going to allow herself to be pushed around. She's not above teasing back people she considered friends.

On our return Elze punched me in the face again.

But this time I blocked it within my glove. I would only allow myself to be hit if I deserved it or if it would be funny, I had no time for any tsundere bullshit. What the hell, Elze?

"You total degeneraaaate!" she hissed as she pulled her arm back. "I won't have it! Linze may be fine with it, but I will protect… my sister! From you for as long as I can!"

"Sis, don't make me fight you," Linze muttered.

"THAT IS EXACTLY PROVING MY POINT! I should take you away and run away from here...!"

I see. Apparently Elze is Bowser now, huh. Fascinating.

"Ugggh. Why am I always surrounded by perverts and freaks? Everyone I know is a depraved lunatic!"

By this point, Yumina and Leene had arrived. The princess raised her hand. "Um, Miss Elze, what are you-"

"Even you. Specially you. Normal things don't excite the nobility anymore, I heard! The higher up the ranks you go, the more freakiness you get up to!"

Yumina whimpered at the accusation. She looked genuinely hurt. Leene just looked even more smug.

Linze approached with a gentle smile. She hugged me from the front and whispered "My heart is not prepared for something like that, Mister Zah. I'm not yet ready for that sort of responsibility, but please know that's also kind of the life I want to have." Her hug tightened. "I'll work to convince sis - if we leave her alone she's just going to run away by herself, thinking she's not worth being loved. Please be patient for a while longer."

Then she disengaged and went over to pacify her sister for the moment.

What.

I have no idea what even is happening here.

What did you do, Monika?

What did you dooooooooo?!!!

Yae munched on buttered corn on the cob. She looked very satisfied at this mid-meal entertainment.

"Ah, you don't-"

"Allow me to do it," Nana stopped Natsuki's words.

All of them are currently in a diner. Their orders have arrived and Nana started placing food on Natsuki's plate.

Natsuki could only accept her offer. In reality last night they spoke about what is going on between them.

(Flashback)

"You do know I'm courting you right?" Natsuki, after inviting Nana for a talk in the garden of the castle, asked.

Nana smiled before looking back up at him, "And you do know the reason why I still can't right?"

This is the first time they spoke about the two of them. Because Nana kept trying to avoid it as much as possible. But with the upcoming war and the uncertainty of everything, Natsuki could no longer hold back and asked.

"I love her, I love her so much that I couldn't find myself being happy when I know that she is suffering all on her own. Even fi she chose that path on her own. I want to stay beside her as much as possible. Is that too much?" Nana looked at him her eyes full of pain for her sister and for him.

Natsuki shook his head. He arrived before they found out about her. He had more time, he spent with her than the time she spent with Eureka as her sister. And he knows that is what truly made her guilty. She didn't want to be happy all on her own.

He could only sigh, 'To Understand' truly those two words does not only define the other two but everyone as well. A messed up world is what all of them have right now. A really really messed up world.

"No, I understand. I just want to be certain. But even if there's still uncertainties, I would still wait to the day you can finally think for yourself without thinking about other people's happiness," he smiled sadly before patting her head in the most affectionate way.

When he left, when he turned his back he didn't see the tears that flowed from her eyes. She was looking at the back of the person whom she loves once again. But right now, he was leaving because it was her choice. Her choice to be alone.

She was shocked when suddenly she was embraced, "Stop that now will you. Stop being stupid and follow whatever your heart desires. Don't shackle yourself with unnecessary things. Never tie yourself down with my well being. Isn't this one of the reasons why I didn't want to tell all of you of who I really am? Don't hurt yourself, cause that will hurt not just our parents, not just Rino but it would hurt me as well."

She released Nana and wiped her tears, "We have talked already. Both Raven and I already have an understanding. So just go and grab your own happiness… elder sister."

More tears came out, those words all of them were waiting for it. For her to call them the way a family do so.

"Geez, I just told you to stop crying. Why are crying even more?" she chuckled as she wiped Nana's tears away.

"Thank you, for being born, Lil sis," Nana chuckled as she hugged Eureka one more time.

(End of Flashback)

Natsuki have already resigned himself that he would only make a move once everything was over. But he was completely confused at Nana's actions. She had been too attentive to him for the whole day that all of them were roaming around.

And so just as all of them were going their separate ways, he held her hand back and pulled her to the lake.

This confuses him so much, why is she doing a push pull act now? Didn't she just practically told him that there's no point for the two of them to be together right now?

After letting her hand go, before he could even open his mouth.

"I'm really sorry," Nana bowed and apologized. She knows, she knows why he is mad right now. She just rejected him last night and then the very next day she was acting all close to him? Who wouldn't get mad?

"What is it really Nana? What do you really want. I Love you but even I am getting confused of what is really going on in your mind. This cold and hot thing of yours. I don't get it."

He was frustrated, is she playing with his feelings? Or is she having a dual personality? But instead of a serious reply he was answered with a chuckle.

His brows furrowed upon seeing this, her face was red but she was giggling? As if realizing the turmoil in his head she stood up and faced him properly.

"Did you know? That this is the first time I heard you say you love me? Even in the past you would just court me or tell me if I am willing to be with you. Not once did you say that you love me. Hmmm those words seemed familiar. Anyway I never thought hearing it would make someone so happy," her smile reaching even the depths of her eyes. A smile that would make anyone think that the flowers are finally blooming.

Matched with the moonlight, seriously their bloodline is indeed wonderful. Such rare beauty.

Natsuki blushed with the way she look right now and words she just said. She didn't answer his question but even the very very very, that tiny bit of anger he was feeling a while ago disappeared in that instant. That's when he to realized, she came from a relationship where the other never said he loves her. And he just did the same, no matter what he says not once did he say he loves her.

She stopped giggling and stood up straight, her face filled with seriousness, "Right after you left last night, a little angel hit me hard of how stupid I currently am. She was right, I never should think about someone else happiness when I myself aren't happy yet. How can I say that she is happy when what I myself am feeling sad? And so I decided, even if you try to stay away from me, which you actually did since not once did you speak with me ever since this morning other than when you tried to stop me from putting food on your plate, I will pull you back. This time no more push pull game, just plainly pull you towards me and never let you move away."

She then very delicately and very elegantly curtsied in front of him, "Prince Natsuki of Confederate Kingdom can I have the honor to be the only woman to stand by your side, despite any difficulties you might face or joyous occasions that might come your way? Can I have the honor of being the person who will support you all through out everything unti both of us gets old and could no longer fight in the front lines?"

Natsuki couldn't move. She had practically asked his hand for marriage, not just to be his lover but be his wife. An overwhelming feeling enveloped his heart as he pulled her up and enveloped her in a warm embrace, "Silly do you really have to ask? You are the very first person who caught my eye in a way far different than others. Just your presence alone filled the gap left by the murder of my mother. Of course, I am more than willing to spend my whole life with you."

Nana felt happiness wash over her and hugged him as tight as she could. This is a feeling she never felt before not even when she was with Raven.

She had to be strong, she had to work harder than anyone, she needs to always be on guard, she had to keep all the secrets sealed, but would all this be easy? When a lot gets attracted to her without her trying, when a lot watches her closely because she's too suspicious, when even her feelings that she made into stone are being melted.

She suddenly appeared in their kingdom 4 years ago. They didn't know who she is or where she came from. But she knows why she's there.

The other didn't know she ever existed while the other doesn't remember her. She has no identity except for her name.

"Just who are you?"

"Someone, someone who never should have been born," she answered as once again she tried to stop her sobs from coming out.

If you're looking for literally half part is magical and the other half focuses on the character development. Then you are on the right novel. Come and join others in reading the story of a woman who's fate is the worst among all of them, but remains gentle and kind.

Orion: "Do you want to be free again? Free from this endless void? Free from this hatred?"

Trihexa kept looking at him, not sure if he was trying to trick her or was making fun of her. But she still wanted to believe him, after all, he was the person who freed her from the chaos in the first place.

Trihexa: "C-can I t-trust you? Do I deserve the freedom after all the destruction I caused? Do I deserve happiness?"

Orion didn't know what to say. After all, she did all that in order to protect Ophis and Red, and for the continuation of life. But now she thinks that she is responsible for the bad stuff? Seeing her like this made him feel guilty. Everyone portrayed Trihexa as an evil being but no one tried to figure out the reasons why she did all those things. What drove her to that corner of destruction? No one cared, they were busy trying to portray the 'God of Bible' as their Messiah and  Trihexa as an evil being. Even Shiva said that Trihexa was an evil being of Chaos and destruction. And Orion was angry at all those people now. Humans, Gods, Bible God, Angels, Devils no one knew the truth, no one bothered to find the truth. Probably they are still trying to figure out a way to seal Trihexa once again after she breaks free. No Orion wouldn't let this happen again, he won't let her suffer ever again. He was determined. Determined to save her.

Orion: "Yes, you do deserve freedom. You do deserve happiness. No, let me rephrase it, 'If there is anyone that deserves true happiness then that person is you!'"

Trihexa had tears in her eyes hearing all this, but she knew that he wasn't lying. She knew this from the look of determination in his eyes. His ruby-red eyes seemed to speak only the truth.

Trihexa: "H-how are you going to free me? There is no way I can leave this void without causing the chaos to run amok in the living world?"

Orion: "You don't have to worry about that, when I removed the excess Chaos from you I also gave you a bit of my 'Origin Essence'. It will stabilize your Chaos and prevent it from going out of control. You can control the Chaos according to your wish now." {A/N: For some reason, this paragraph sounds extremely weird.}

Trihexa: "H-how? Chaos is supposed to be the strongest element, it was so strong that even my own element 'Existence' which is the strongest among the five (Infinity, Dream, Life, Emotion, and Existence) was unable to prevent Chaos from corrupting my mind. So how can your element prevent the Chaos from doing that?"

Orion: "Haha, I see. So, that's what you believe. Let me make this clear but comparing 'Chaos' to my 'Origin' is like comparing a lizard to a dragon. Chaos might be strong but Origin is the strongest. Chaos is nothing more than the failed copy of Origin. The reason it is so violent in nature is because it is incomplete, unlike Origin which is the true beginning, Chaos could only be considered as a checkpoint but not the starting line. One of the reasons why no one knows about Origin is because I am the only being that is able to possess it. And I gave you a bit of my 'Origin Essence' in order to stabilize your 'Chaos'."

Trihexa: "So you mean you are the strongest being?"

Orion: "Yes."

Trihexa: "Then are you the current 'king' of the universe?"

Orion: "No, I am not. The current 'Kings' of this universe would be Ophis and Great Red. I haven't been in this universe that long to be crowned 'King'"

Trihexa: "Ophis? Great Red? And you said you are not from this universe?"

Orion: "Oh, I apologize. You might know both of them as 'Infinity' and 'Dream' respectively and as for me, I am from a totally different universe that you might not have heard about. I came here in order to explore the wonders of this universe."

Trihexa had har eyes wide open when Orion said that her '*Sisters*' are the current 'Kings' of the universe. And he is not from this universe? The guy who saved her from the Chaos was not from their world, this was surprising for her as well. But she had something else to ask him right now.

Trihexa: "You said my 'Sisters' are the current 'Kings' but I remember both of them being the laziest people ever."

They were created by one of the current Devil Kings 'Ajuka Beelzebub' during the great war. But the people that the devils take as their peerage are classified as 'Servants' whether you like it or not. Instead of turning the peerage members into servants, it turns them into something similar to 'comrades' or 'family'. They will still be bound to the 'King' but they are free to do what they desire, they don't have to follow their 'King' blindly."

After Roland the Holy Knight vanished from the portal, Pope Igor stood alone amidst the Void.
"Flag…"
He raised his hand and studied the lines on his palm, before clenching it and looked up at the cleansed world.
"That's for sure." He smiled gently. "He has been hoisted, as befits his identity."
There was pleasure in the elderly pontiff's eyes. "At least, the future he chose is a better one compared to the one I foresee."

A day later.
The recruitment of Supreme and Gold-tier champions quickly spread over the entire world of Mycroft.
Their galaxy had been sealed in the Final Battle of the last Era, by the Vortex of Creation and the destruction wrought by Evil God invasion, and much dimmer than normal galaxies. Be that as it may, in the hidden dimensional bubble found at an unknown corner, there were still many worlds where life existed.
The champions on Mycroft were not few—there were already a dozen Legendary champions that diverted some of their power, animating it so that it could independently carry out missions, allowing them to pacify hundreds of weaker worlds alone.
That being said, it remained too much for that dozen Legends to suppress over a thousand worlds within a few days. Compared to the number of living worlds in a galaxy, they are unimaginably lacking.
Therefore, the Extraordinary individual dubbed the Peace Envoy issued an order to enlist on the world of Mycroft.
Unlike the existing national policies, guild recruitment or group missions, the enlisting was endorsed by every powerful faction across the world. Every Legendary champion and national masterminds jointly supported, and as reward, the doors to old royal treasury and shrine riches would be opened, just as the point exchange system of the External Exploration Department made its world debut.
Excited by the prospect of martial arts tomes and riches, even secluded hermits stepped out of the mountains and forests. Supreme champions could simply ignore monarchs and scorch their recruitment parchments into ashes, but they had no choice this time—when even the most stubborn say the signatures of Legendary champions, their knees would cave, not to mention that there was insurance for that mission despite the huge rewards, and they were not being told to die.
The number of Supreme and Gold-tier champions had increased significantly after the Great Mana Tide. A nation's Supreme champions that would have amounted to five at most now leaped up to twenty. That was even more the case for Gold champions since graduates from the Winter Fort Academy tend to be Gold. For example, the top batch of students including the First Party, the Elite Party and Lisa the Drakonid's gang were all Gold, and could ascend into Supreme with a little diligence.
In the first day the enlistment was issued, more than eighty Supreme champions answered—most of them new Supreme. They would be taken by the portals through the prearranged warp point of the Multiverse Sacrificial Grounds and await their assignment. Over a thousand Gold joined, having become interested in the famed otherworld exploration and wanting to know new worlds as well.
As for combat.
To these Extraordinary individuals who lived on Mycroft, Extraordinary power existed for the fight. They would have been shocked by the rich rewards, but would never be surprised that their mission included fighting.
The conflict in the world was temporarily pacified before a calamity that embroiled all civilizations in the galaxy. If there were any who were intent on stirring infighting, the Legendary champions who had already decided to act would wipe them out.
The world has been changed.
In the north, in a small city upstream of the Magel's unfrozen river belonging to the Scarlet Family, a seemingly plain enchanted carriage was trotting along the riverbanks. There was no horse pulling it, and it moved powered by mana crystal engines, exerting such output that it would not be an issue for it to fly.
The white stone path that was rather wide passes through the riverside woods and grasslands, winding towards the main city in the distance. The window of the carriage was opened, where the silhouettes of a man and a woman could be seen.
"Brandon… do you intend to answer the Peace Envoy enlistment?" The lady in the carriage asked sadly. She had violet hair and wore many shiny gem jewelry, although the powerful magical presence each precious stone emanated was a greater indicator of their value—there was no doubt that she was a Gold-pinnacle mage armed to the teeth. The mana contained in those pieces of jewelry alone had the power to destroy a street.
"Of course, Dani. This matters to Mycroft, and it's impossible for me to not go as a Supreme champion."
Beside her, a large blond man was smiling gently. "What's more, after training for so long and having visited the Abyss, I also want to know what level my power has reached."
As he spoke, he subconsciously reached out to touch his hip—his Twin Blades of Order, however, was not with him.
"This time, they have an urgent need for manpower, and even Supreme champions might be asked to handle a primitive world alone… it would be fine if they were weak, but even you would find it difficult with stronger species. On the other hand, Gold-tiers like us are mostly assigned to parties for pacification missions and weaker worlds, so there should be no issue."
At that, Vale Dani sighed softly. Brandon brushed his outer thigh painfully after it was jolted viciously by Vale Dani's thunder spell, although the bull-killing beam was a flirting for the Extraordinary couple—the swordsman instead pulled Vale Dani into his embrace and kissed her.
Then, after some indescribable intimacy, Vale Dani's expression darkened again after she freed herself from Brandon, sighing. "… Brandon, I'm always feeling panic. That Radcliffe's otherworld exploration plan has taken form, and this enlisting is actually a large-scale development experiment… I always feel that, whatever happens, our little bliss could completely vanish."
"Occupying other worlds, expanding territories, fighting foreign foes and repelling the Chaos… Yes, those are good, but could we still leisurely stroll in carriages beside the river forest like now? Could we still play Fairy Cards with our children and push them to do their homework?
Brandon said nothing. He simply held the troubled mage's hand since he knew that what his wife feared was not battle, death or Chaos enemies, but not being able to be by her daughters' side.
Could they still maintain that little bliss in the future?

Unless one would live as a solitary beast that completely ignored civilization and wandered the Void… but what bliss was there to speak of in such a life?
Brandon understood his wife's melancholy. Their two daughters were blossoming and at the golden age where their ability would grow, and would later live alone instead of staying with them. As parents, who would not stay with their children a little longer to enjoy those last days of intimacy?
"Vale Dani, look. We are reaching the city."
The blonde swordsman nodded, gesturing for his bothered wife to look ahead. "It's your former gardeners—the Boris family. Don't they live downtown?"
"…Yes."
The conversation shifted, Vale Dani mustered her spirit and said nostalgically, "Old Boris was the captain of my personal guard who died in the Mana Tide seventeen years ago… Little Boris would become my gardener since his combat aura was lacking, and now even his son works for me. I think he owns a flower shop now."
It was a question put as a statement. Being a fitting liege, Vale Dani naturally knew what her former servants were now doing.
Brandon nodded slightly, speaking quietly as they approached the main city. "I remembered the time when Old Boris chased me out of the castle when I was pursuing you all those years ago too, thanks to orders from your father… I can't fight back at the time, and simply jumped out of a second-floor window and crashed headlong on the street slab."
"The Borises all lived on that street. They were born city guards and lived along that fountain street—in fact, at least five to six generations of childhoods were spent there for the families of surrounding streets.
Vale Dani turned curiously to Brandon, who smiled as he continued. "It's a grocery shop at the end of the street which was more than three hundred and fifty years old… you've even introduced the place to me, saying that it was the oldest shop in the main city. When I visited the place with Flan a few days ago, it had brought in a vending machine, but even so, the owner who's now over seventy-years old still loved to speak to his customers over the counter."
"Brandon?" Vale Dani was puzzled, unsure why her husband knew her town so well…
It was not actually unusual, but why would he say all that now?
But just when she tried to interrupt him, he put a finger to her lips. "That street holds three hundred and fifty years of memories for hundreds of families. In fact, it's the same for every family in every street in every city—each holds recollection for countless people, the composite of their life and happiness."
"However, Vale Dani, your power and mind could easily destroy this land of memories into nothing with one serious thought."
Brandon sighed. "We are champions. The happiness of our family is not limited to a single street, and our home is not a city in the north, or a domain… it's the world of Mycroft. Our happiness is bound to civilization's stability."
"You and I would not have happiness without world peace and stability. You certainly could believe that we can create a safe harbor amidst the chaos, but doesn't it pale in comparison to a life of true serenity? What's more, are such peaceful but dull days interesting, happy and perpetual for a Supreme swordsman and a Gold-pinnacle war mage?"
Not a fool, Vale Dani naturally knew what Brandon meant and did not retort, nodding her head gently instead.
It was certainly so… if she thought nothing of it, why would she have chosen to ascend as a war mage who was not useful apart from battle? It was only her daughters who tug had her free heart, keeping her reluctant to leave.
The carriage slowly reached the main city and the portal directed to the Multiverse Sacrificial Grounds in the main city. His brow lowered and his gaze calmly, Brandon then spoke mildly, "I have delved in this bliss for too long… our girls have grown, matured and become independent. Hah! Ten years had passed and Joshua van Radcliffe is now one of the greatest Legends on Mycroft, he is saving the world and fighting for our civilization."
With those words, Brandon looked up with a sharp gaze. "You often said that he is slowly growing inhuman, assuming that he once had a temper and was quick to anger, and that he would only bathe himself in the blood of monsters.
"But Joshua never changed."
He could still be angered and clenched his fist, beating up those who need a good beating… like now, clearing a bloody path amidst despair and darkness.
Brandon then raised a hand to caress Vale Dani's face and smiled confidently. "I have not changed either. A man's intent to become powerful and protect that which he loves would not change with age or a stable life. I can't watch Radcliffe fight alone."
"I dream to swing my sword, to bring happiness for you, me, our daughters and all whom I love. And now, it's challenged—I could not sit and watch as the Chaos stirred unrest over the galaxy."
With that, Brandon stepped out of the carriage that had entered the city and entered the range of the portal to the Multiverse Sacrificial Grounds. "I'm going ahead then, my dear."
With that, with a flash of light from the portal, the Supreme-tier swordsman Brandon Kaos disappeared from the street.
Meanwhile, in the carriage, Vale Dani narrowed her eyes and gritted her teeth—Gold had lower priority than Supreme, and she would only be sent to the Multiverse Sacrificial Grounds after a few more minutes.
"Why are you saying like I'm not going? I won't be left behind!"
The pair hence bade each other farewell in smiles, just as the swordsman who was in great bliss trod the path to greatness once again.

Earlier, in the Void around the Sixth Abyss.
"Goliath, Demon King. Do not close your world and come out to face me."
A profound information transmission stirred dimensional turbulences. Boundless silver light unfurled, flashing like a star at the center of the Void.
The silver Steel God stood over a dead world as brutal energy resonated, almost boiling the dimensional turbulences. Small worlds orbited around him as streaming energies cascaded, while a huge Φ halo whirled behind him.
"Us Mycroft Legends had intended to combine and wipe out the Sixth Abyss, but now, the unknown Evil God is affecting the galaxy to destroy all realms of Order… even the Abyss of Chaos is no exception."
The world before the Giant God was the Sixth Abyss, a world shrouded in darkness. The former home of six-legged insectoids in ancient times, it had long since perished, but maintained a little vigor because of the demons' plundering. It was only centuries ago that the most powerful Demon King, Goliath the Glutton arose, and the Sixth Abyss hence clawed at other worlds, even Mycroft.
And now, the dark world had no energy waves or information. If not for the lingering Chaos, Joshua would have assumed that the demons were wiped out from the unknown Evil God's presence.
"Now, however, we have changed our mind. Demons could be a part of our fighting force, as long as you are willing to fight the Chaos and stop the other demons in the Abyss from slaughtering each other, we could give you a chance of salvation."
Joshua pronunciation was clear, the information relayed by Steel Strength precise.
The demons of the Abyss were indeed a great foe, but they were nothing compared to the unknown Evil God. In the end, they could at most build a few cults, and had yet to invade Mycroft en masse. On the other hand, Joshua himself had conducted massacres the Sixth Abyss on several occasions, razing several Demonic Liege domains into the ground.
If the demons of the Sixth Abyss were a little clever, they should be suppressing demons of other Abysses on their own accord. After all, not even the Unified Archives or the Multiverse Sacrificial Grounds of Mycroft had maps of the Abyss since the landscape that place changed too quickly—only demons that moved through the Nether River had the clearest information, which makes it ironic that only demons could 'save' other demons in the Abyss instead of letting them die, turning into fertilizer for the unknown Evil God.
But the prerequisite was that the horde be willing to work together.
"Goliath, come out. I know you can hear me—I come in kindness and goodwill, all for peace… I'm not attacking even now is proof."
"Tch. It seems that you don't understand language."
Becoming ever impatient, Joshua raised his voice and clenched his four fists. Lights shone upon his chest and shoulders at once, boundless energy photons seized from the surrounding dimensional turbulence and worlds to fill his unlimited furnace core. In the eyes of the Giant God, dazzling silver light brightened, immeasurably blinding even across the darkness and dimensional turbulence.
Massive thunders flashed in the silver nebula. Energy capable of destroying worlds gathered over the warrior's four fists, and the benevolent Peace Envoy, Joshua van Radcliffe clenched his hand, speaking with a low tone, "I shall attack if you don't reply, and beat you up until you open your mouth."
"Three."

The men were dumbfounded. They could neither understand Theresa's twisted mind nor catch the strange flow of conversation. At one moment, she was aggressive while another moment soft.
"So rise and become the woman you were destined to be," Theresa once again started speaking. "Rest assured, you are not alone. Maiden's Love Circle is there to help you."
"Help?" Sheena looked at her.

" Mom I'm going to work I'll be home till dinner.  Bye Arnav see you at dinner ", I said making my way to work.  Arnav winked at me and said good bye, but Mom didn't notice the wink thing and said bye.  
I worked at a restaurant as a waitress the pay wasn't much but was enough for us.  The boss was  very good and there wasn't much work to do  today  so I returned home earlier.  

Mom was making dinner and wait she wasn't alone our handsome hunk was also helping her.  This guy knows how to cook?  Impressive. 

" Mom I'm home,  What's for dinner? ", I asked through kitchen door.  " Oh sweety welcome home,  Arnav and I made Pavbhaji and Pulav . I was thankful of him that he made her so excited she liked to cook very much, but I wasn't good at it so I always stayed away from kitchen .   Now she finally got someone to accompany her while cooking , I turned to look at him.  And believe me when I say the scene was very beautiful,  I've never thought that a guy would look this handsome while cooking. He also seemed to enjoy cooking,  he was adding chopped vegetables in the curry and was focused on it.
The dinner was ready and I helped making the table , when the first bite of food made contact with my tongue I was simply in heaven.  Never in my whole life did I taste this great of a food  , I ate like  a hungry beast and finished dinner before everyone.  
Only then did I raised my head to see ,Mom and Arnav looking at me like I was crazy . " What never saw someone eating?  The food was delicious by the way,  where did you learned cooking ? " , I asked trying to change the topic out of embarrassment. 
 
Arnav smiled a satisfaction on his face, " I lived alone since I was thirteen , Mom and dad was always out on work.  I don't like restaurant food very much so I learned to cook , but  it's always boring to cook for myself so I just order the take out. Today auntie asked to join you for dinner so I made it as a thank you , I'm happy that you liked it.  " 
I was touched by his way of thinking , the guy was rich but wasn't much arrogant and was down to earth ,  I smiled at him . 
" I'm doing the dishes " , I declared and went to clean the dishes.  Arnav joined me and started  drying the dishes with dish cloths , " Hey you don't need to do that ,  you also made the food. "  I said trying to take the cloth from his hands but he was too tall to for me as I was five feet tall.  He raised his hands so that o won't get near the towel I reached out but couldn't touch it , I was annoyed so I said, " What are you doing? give it to me "

Looking at his wife's embarrassed face, Ryan chuckled. But soon his happiness has turned into a headache.

Upon knowing the truth, Rex pulled Amy alone and inquiring about their marriage and so on.
Cause of that, it is now Ryan's turn to be ignored.

At the beginning, Amy felt a bit of hesitation. But Rex has really managed make her feel comfortable. After conversing with him for a while, Amy loosened up a bit.

After sometime, Ryan's patience started to wear off. He annoyingly called his brother.

"Hey! Can you guys at least include me in your conversation?"

"Need some time!!" Rex nearly shouted at his brother but hold it in on time.

"What if his brother doesn't inform their parent's about Amy..he can always inform about his sister-in-law." Rex smirked evily in his heart.

Ryan suddenly had an ill feeling on seeing Rex's face.

"You should not inform them about this." Ryan ordered in a stern voice.

"Sure..bro! I'll not hahahaha..you can always believe me"

"No.. that's near impossible".

When she died all she thought was "How nice it would be if I have someone at my side!". She died all alone. Now given a chance in a whole new world, she finds herself with a marriage proposal.
