Surprisingly, Damien Park behaved well during the whole meeting and his eyes were mostly on his cell phone if he wasn't sneaking glances at Katherine who was diligently taking down notes, her hand scribbling phrases and technical terms across the pad with her beautiful handwriting.
He would sometimes add some details here and there but his words were brief and concise. However, Katherine was fast in noting everything he said to the T — this was mostly due to her training while she was working for him. Not wanting to miss any important details, she would often find herself passionately lost in scribbling down whatever he said that could be important.
Canceling his nine o'clock meeting was worth it if it meant he could sit next to Katherine, even if the two of them weren't talking. Breathing the same air as her and just watching her try her best in learning what she needed to for her new job made him glad. 
If he had known that she was coming here with Mitchell—the reason for his call last night—he wouldn't have been salty. He wondered when she knew about this meeting and if she intended not to tell him because she was keeping her distance from him — just like how she didn't respond to his goodnight text last night and the good morning text a few hours ago.
Pathetic? He couldn't care less if people thought of him that way. He had never been like this to anyone. Only Katherine. If they were going to call him irresponsible for canceling a meeting he wasn't even interested in the first place, he still didn't care. They could tempt him with a billion-dollar offer and he would still choose to be here without second thoughts. There was no point in being filthy rich if it meant there was no Katherine.
Damien glanced at her again and it was probably longer this time because Katherine noticed it and she looked at him as well. Their eyes met and locked, he wasn't the least bit embarrassed that he was caught staring at her because he flashed her a smile and a wink before shifting his eyes back to his phone screen.
She raised a brow and got curious as to what kept him so busy that he was on his phone for an hour now. Slightly leaning back so she could peer at his screen, she subtly did a sideway glance and suppressed herself from laughing upon seeing what kept him so occupied.
She should have known. Damien was playing online poker.
This was one of his pastimes. However, this wasn't just any online poker game because compared to others, the players in the game use real money to bet and the bets were far higher than the average, ranging from a few thousand to a few hundred thousand to a few million dollars. The app could be played through his phone, his tablet, or his computer. Though he didn't play as much as he did years ago, he plays on it when he finds time to spare. He didn't like going to casinos anymore, so the occasional games on the app were enough. 
She questioned him before on how he could spend so much in just a game. Katherine didn't understand the logic of wasting money on online poker until he taught her one time. Eventually, she learned that playing poker wasn't just a game. Playing it to win required skills that not everyone possessed. Because in order to win, one would need an analytical mind, formulate strategies, and understand psychology among other things.
Damien Park was great at those things. Just his billion-dollar empire proved it.
Her eyes shifted a little towards his chest and it was only then that she noticed the tie on his dress shirt. He was wearing one of the kitten ties that she gifted him a few months ago. It was one of two playful ties with large kitten prints. The one he was wearing at the moment was black with several full kitten faces printed in white outline. 
If one would face him, they would be drawn towards the tie. But perhaps Katherine was too busy staring at his handsome face that she only noticed it now. The corners of her mouth curled up as she tried to bring her focus back to the meeting and away from the distraction whose name was Damien.
He definitely noticed her checking him out and it brought a smile on his face too. He just lost a few hundred thousand on the round of poker on his phone but he wasn't the least bit bothered. He made her look at him and he made her smile. Her smile alone was already worth a billion bucks. If he was to say anything, he would definitely proudly admit that he just won.

Later...
It was almost eleven in the morning when Damien came back inside the meeting room after taking a phone call.
"It was a pleasure meeting you, Mr. Price. We'll be waiting for your entry," Caleb shook hands with Michael and the rest of the team who showed their appreciation to him as well.
"Thank you for your time, President Park. We're looking forward to having business with you." Michael shook hands with Damien once again.
"Good luck with your application. We'll see you again after the qualifying round." Damien didn't bother hiding his favor towards them. It wasn't only because of Katherine but he was actually impressed by their technical qualifications.
The smile on Michael's face widened, feeling more confident that they had a big chance of winning the contract.
Before Michael could say anything, Damien had already faced Katherine and told her, "I've booked Central Harbor Restaurant. Ali's going to meet us there for lunch."
She looked at Caleb who only shrugged his shoulders. She remembered agreeing to have lunch with Ali and Caleb but not with King Charming over here. His nickname stuck to her after hearing it from Styles repeatedly. 
Ignoring Damien because she was slightly annoyed, she turned to Michael and said, "Thanks for allowing me to have lunch with my friends. I will see you back at the office later."
"Don't worry about it. See you later." Michael patted her upper arm and smiled at her, nodding to the two gentlemen before he and his team walked out of the meeting room.
When they were gone, Katherine faced Damien, "I don't remember agreeing to have lunch with you, President Park. I was looking forward to eating with Ali, however."
"Tough luck, Ms. Young. I'm paying for lunch whether you like it or not so I will have to be there of course," Damien said dismissively as he grabbed for her coat that was hanging at the back of the chair and placed it over his arm.
Caleb finished packing his things and looked at Damien whose smug smile was only annoying Katherine by the minute. He shook his head and questioned his friend with a knowing smile, "Oh? You changed your necktie?"
The smile on Damien's face slipped and he cleared his throat as he tore his gaze away from Katherine's surprised reaction. "Shut up," he muttered to Caleb as he walked past his friend and strolled out of the meeting room. "Let's go. I'm hungry."
Caleb and Katherine exchanged looks and laughs. It was a rare sight to see Damien getting embarrassed — his reddened ears were adorable.

Two weeks passed by in a blur of meetings and paper works. The company was in chaos in those days with people either leaving or being transferred to other teams. Everyone was busy, and Ethan was not exempted. Especially with a boss like Lucas who seemed to be programmed to work. Like this morning on their car ride to and from the manufacturing site when his boss continued to type on his laptop. Perhaps it was another project of his.

Lucas introduced new ways to operate their malls along with other projects. It garnered mixed reactions -- the younger employees were excited while the department heads were skeptical. Ethan liked those changes, but the amount of work drained him.

He sat back on his chair and sighed. It was only Wednesday of his third week here, but it felt like life was sucked out of him already. Work was all he did. He worked early and ended late. Even when he was at home, all he could think of was the work he left. He pinched the bridge of his nose. He's getting cross-eyed looking at the screen.

He stretched then pulled out his phone and opened his favorite webtoon reading app. He was subscribed to a few titles, and because of his hectic schedule, he hadn't read them yet. The thought of binge-reading them while resting at home energized him.

At that moment, his phone vibrated and the notification showed a message from his sister. When he saw Fifi's name, he couldn't help but open it. He smiled widely when he saw what she sent -- a fanart of Danny. Ethan allowed himself to stare some more before reluctantly putting his phone back and faced his work.

"Texting your girlfriend? Or a boyfriend?" Gemma said, peeking over the divider that separates the rest of the team from their boss and Ethan's desk.

Ethan exaggerated his sigh. "Ha, how I wish I had a boyfriend to text."

Gemma laughed and winked at him. "Join me in one of my boy hunts."

Ethan chuckled, but their laughter was cut short when the door to Lucas's office opened. 

He stared at the two of them, face completely blank. "I'm going out."

But his boss's facial expression was not the reason why Ethan stilled. He was used to seeing that look on Lucas's face after all. His eyes were glued to the folder his boss was holding that he almost missed Gemma tiptoeing back to her desk. How Ethan wished his desk was also on the other side of the divider, not here alone where Lucas could scold him anytime he wanted to. Like now. He could feel the other man's anger brewing like a storm.

With a swift and graceful movement, his boss placed a folder in front of him. Ethan lifted the cover, and a sticky note was pasted at the center of the bond paper, neat handwriting listing all of his errors. He gulped.

"Sometimes I wonder what my grandfather saw in you."

Then Lucas left just like that. 

One sentence. Just a few words, but enough for Ethan's confidence to crumble. Lucas might as well shred the paper in front of him for maximum effect. He poured everything on that report, even pulled overtime just so he could make it perfect, but it didn't matter. He failed.

After a while, Gemma tiptoed back. 

"We're getting lunch," she said carefully. 

Ethan managed a terse nod. Gemma winced.

"He's quite cold."

"I think that's an understatement."

Gemma loomed above him. "But Ethan, you need to eat. You don't need to starve yourself for that jerk."

"I'm fine. I brought sandwiches." He opened his drawer to show her his stash of sandwiches and junk foods. 

Gemma stared at him while he glanced up innocently.

"At least, take a break for god's sake. It seems like no one can take you away from your seat once you planted your arse in them."

When Ethan didn't answer, she shrugged. "At least let me get something for you."

Ethan calculated easily what was the cheapest drink available. Once his workmates left, his phone rang. He quickly snatched up his phone.

"Rohan!"

Ethan is an efficient employee by day and a hardcore BL fan at night. When he transfers to another company, his BL ideals seem to come true. Namely, Lucas - the new boss, who resembles his ideal seme! And his boss seems to be another BL fanboy? Did Ethan find a fellow fan or he found something else?

After being tricked once again by Blacky Sheng, Flower Qi made a solemn vow that he would get back at Blacky!
Since he was one year older, Flower Qi brandished his fists at Blacky Sheng in a threatening manner and said, "Say you're a pig and maybe I'll spare you. Hmph!" 
"You're a pig," said Blacky Sheng calmly.
Flower Qi said, "… I meant you!"
"Sure, you're a pig," Blacky Sheng repeated.
"Aah! Not 'you're a pig,' but 'I'm a pig'!" Flower Qi went berserk.
"Alright, I see." Blacky Sheng gave him a knowing nod, then turned to leave, mumbling, "That was a very strange request."
Flower Qi was utterly defeated.

Blacky Sheng and Flower Qi went to the same traditional Chinese culture class.
Flower Qi nodded off over his desk, drooling. He was still reciting the text in his dreams. "'The Rules for Students' are the Sage's teachings. First, be good to parents and respect elders; next, be reverent and trustworthy. Love everyone and become close with the kind-hearted…"
"Hey, wake up! The teacher's coming!" Blacky Sheng tugged his sleeve, but Flower Qi replied with a swat from his hand and a loud protest, "Leave me alone!"
Blacky Sheng made no comment.
The teacher was next to them now and said angrily, "Qi Yanxi! You're sleeping in my class again! Sheng Yize can recite 'Tao Te Ching' already, but you can't even remember 'Standards for being a Good Pupil and Child'!"
Flower Qi woke up with a jolt at the bellow.
The bubble at the corner of his mouth burst with a pop.
The white-bearded teacher was all the more exasperated. "Gosh! You're incorrigible! Have you done your homework?"
The homework last week was to write some ancient style prose from memory.
It was an impossible task for Flower Qi. He barely knew how to read, and all of a sudden, he was required to recite some ancient text, which worried him so much that he almost skipped dinner!
Judging by the look on his face, the teacher knew that Qi Yanxi hadn't done his homework. The old man rolled up his sleeves and scolded, "You brat! Go stand in the corridor!"
After all, he was the heir to the Qi family, and there was only so much the teacher dared do to punish him.
Blacky Sheng suddenly spoke. "Sir, he did his homework."
He then handed the teacher an exercise book.
The teacher opened it suspiciously and found some very messy scrawls inside. However, it appeared that Qi Yanxi had indeed finished his homework.
"Hmph! I see you followed my instructions for once! Work on your handwriting!"
After the teacher left, Flower Qi flipped through the exercise book in disbelief. "Did I do this while I was asleep?"
Blacky Sheng smirked. "You're such an idiot. I did that for you."
"That can't be! How come your handwriting looks so ugly?"
"… I wrote it with my left hand."
Flower Qi, whose handwriting was even worse, was utterly defeated.
However, he was still greatly moved. "How nice of you! You did my homework for me. Blacky, I think I'm falling in love with you…"
"Go away!" Blacky Sheng rolled his eyes. "I just… hate it when you cry so loudly."
"I'm a big boy! I don't cry!"
Blacky Sheng smiled at that. "Qiuqiu just told me that she wants to be my wife. She said I could kiss her."
Rumble —
It was like a bolt out of the blue!!
Flower Qi howled. "Blacky Sheng! I'm going to kill you! Sob…"
Blacky Sheng only said cockily after Flower Qi howled his throat raw, "You're so dumb, Flower! I made all that up!"
He was so gullible! Hahaha!
Flower Qi wrapped his hands around Sheng Yize's neck. "Don't trick me ever again!"
"Alright."
"I can give you everything, but not my wife! Stay away from my girl from now on!"
"You dumb Flower. Fine, I will, as long as you don't smear your snot on my clothes."
"Teehee.
"We'll be best buddies forever!" Flower Qi raised his little fist.
"Tch." Despite the indifferent look on his face, Blacky Sheng raised his fist without hesitation and bumped it against Flower Qi's.

"Yes."

"Money?" Kim jeon il pondered as he thought that money attract girls.' An app that can give money? I tried some apps, but they all give a negligible amount, well I'll just uninstall it if this is some kind of scam.'

He looks beside him as he just finishes reading a book that he could definitely say one of the best book in existence, the book called <Diary of a Simpy kid>

He then looks at his phone again 

[15 seconds remaining till the offer expires] 

After a few seconds of thinking Kim Jeon il finally decided 

"You son of a b*tch, I'm in" And he clicks the installation button

The moment he clicks the installation button is just as quickly as the installation finishes.

Jeon il tap the home button, and as he expected there's a new app in the home panel

He then taps it and was agape to what he saw 

A Highly super detail hyper realistic 3D model of himself, jeon il unconsciously drop his phone as he saw him, his self wearing just a brief and standing, he was bewildered as to how real looking this is, other than being shock as to why this game has himself basically copied, the one thing that filled up his mind. 

"Sugui! Just a few hundred kilo bytes could produce such high quality app?? Just by the graphics alone it would at least be a few GB of space."Jeon il was astonished as to how far the technology has progressed. 

"But then how can this app have a detailed model of myself? Did the company specifically choose me as the only player, and already did research on me beforehand? Probably not I'm too insignificant in the society, I'm also not popular."Jeon il think of ways of how this is done and only end up in one conclusion. 

"The moment I open the app it must have probably scanned all my photos in my gallery, and then using all of that photos to create an accurate model of mine."Jeon il nodded as he agrees in his own conclusion. 

"Well too much time has been wasted lets see what can this app offers."Jeon il then look around the screen as he saw a lot of functions with locked symbol, and a two functions that is unlocked, it says shop and storage. 

"Is there some kind of tutorial? At least teach me some basic things." Just as he was about to tap the shop button a text suddenly appear in his screen.

As he read the text, the longer he reads the more he thought that whoever comes up with these things must have good imagination 

"I'm a nice guy not a SIMP, and what is this storage about?" After reading all the text jeon il then look at his 3d model and still in awe as to how accurate it is, he then tap his body and some kinds of statistics shows in his screen.

And of course, jeon il with his 'nice guy instinct' tapped speedily on his phone.

[Jeon il: Ohh that? No problem I'll send PM you the answer and how did I get it.]

[Female classmate(2): Really? Thank you then, you are really a nice person jeon il]

After that jeon il pm her the answer to that question as well as how to did he get that answer, jeon il was never an intelligent person, but he can at least do these things to help his classmates.(A/N: You mean female classmates? You Effin SIMPPPPP!!)

After that a notification sound can be heard coming from his phone. 

[Congratulations you earned 5 SIMP COINS] 

Jeon il then saw a currency in the top right corner of his screen, a gold coin with an S symbol on it

And a new text appeared

"SIMP POINT? What does it do?"Jeon il just said it to the phone without expecting an answer but to his surprise it actually responded.

Jeon il nodded and convert it into a SIMP POINT 

A new currency appeared beside the SIMP COINS 

A platinum colored coin with an S on it. 

Jeon il, with enough IQ understand what he needs to do next. 

"Lets see." He then looked at the stats again, beside them there's a plus button.

After saving the changes the screen suddenly zooms in, in his face, suddenly changes could be seen, although mealy negligible there's actually some changes, the skin in his face looks to be a little smoother than before and a pimple vanishes in his 3d model, and a few changes, but still pretty much negligible. 

"Hmm I see, are they using real time editing 3d model editing tool?"Jeon il said. 

"Also the app recognize when I'm being a nice guy, the app must have been reading his messages."Jeon il thought that such cheap tricks could not fool him. 

He sighs then turn off his phone 

"..... "Silence 

He looks in the reflection of his face in the phone. 

"Hmm? Where's my pimple?"Jeon il said and he widens his eyes. 

Suddenly running into the nearest mirror. 

"WHAT!"Jeon il look in a mirror, he turns on his phone again, quickly opening the app, look at his 3d model face. At that moment he gasps and swallowed a mouthful of saliva. He looks in a mirror again, He looks exactly the same as his 3d model, well of course but, what he means is the minuscule changes before have transpired also in the real version of himself. 

Jeon il then looks around, grabbing the nearest thing he could found, he saw the book <The Diary of a Simpy kid> and quickly grab it. 

"How do I put this in the storage??"Jeon il could not help but raise his voice a little. 

[Do you want to put <The Diary of a Simpy kid> in the storage?] 

Jeon il doesn't care anymore if it was using voice recognition as to how the app can hear him and quickly said yes. 

"Yes." Suddenly the book in his hands disappears. 

[The object has been successfully added in the storage.]

Jeon il saw the book in the storage slot. 

It was at this moment that he realize something. 

With pure determination in his eyes he said. 

"I want to be a SIMP."

"Then!" Tsubaki had almost pounced on Kanako once the latter finished speaking. Her lips were trembling as she continued to ask, "Then... what about the name? Do you know the person? Could you bring me to her?"

"Uh..." Kanako knitted her brows, she looked conflicted over Tsubaki's anxious face. "About the handwriting, I could confidently say that I've seen this a number of times before but for the name I just have a faint recollection of it."

The light in Tsubaki's eyes dimmed. Her hands that were fisted in her anxiousness slowly flailed at her sides. Kanako noticed the change in Tsubaki's expression. It was the first time for her to see her new friend looking glum like this.

"Why? Do you have important matter with the person?"

Tsubaki bit her lower lip. She sighed inwardly as she hung her head low. Kanako who saw that didn't press Tsubaki to immediately answer. She returned to her seat in front of Tsubaki. Her hand slowly placed Tsubaki's phone on the table.

Tsubaki looked at the photo on the screen. Her hands gripped the hem of her blouse tightly as she didn't know how to describe her feelings.

Kanako unexpectedly said she recognized the name and the handwriting. What did that mean?

"Kanako," Tsubaki call out the name in a quiet voice. She raised her eyes to meet Kanako's confused ones. "If I ask you questions, could you please answer me without me having to explain why?"

Kanako paused to think as she found Tsubaki looked awful. Her eyes were no longer bright as always and there were fear and anxiety evident on her face. Kanako was wondering why did Tsubaki change so much from her cheery personality once she said she was familiar with the handwriting and the name on the screen. But, she knew Tsubaki must have her reasons if she didn't want to disclose the matter.

"Okay." Kanako nodded. "I won't ask you if it's a private matter. What do you want to ask me?"

Tsubaki let out a sigh. The remaining of her ice cream was already melting inside the cup. It took her a while to recompose herself before she opened her lips.

"Earlier, you said that you've seen this handwriting somewhere before but you didn't really remember the name so... does that mean these two are separate matters in your mind?"

Kanako took Tsubaki's phone. She once again peering at the photo. This neat handwriting and this name...

"Yes. I knew I've seen this handwriting somewhere but I couldn't recall it correctly. My memory is quite good so if you want, I could try searching for this one. If I wasn't mistaken..." Kanako squinted her eyes as she tried racking her brain. Her head tilted to one side, her brows furrowed. "I feel like I always see this handwriting on cards... oh ya! Like on an invitation card!"

Kanako snapped her fingers as she remembered it. She looked so delighted when she returned Tsubaki's gaze.

"On invitation cards?" 

Did it mean... Kanako might know this person?

"Yes! Yes! I'd usually read the cards sent to my family home so I think I could find them for you since my Mom never throws these cards away. But, as for the name..." Kanako crossed her arms as her mind was gathering her memory. "I think I've heard the name of Fujioka Masami before but I couldn't remember correctly from where."

"It's okay if you don't." Tsubaki decided to not feel downhearted hearing Kanako's words. It was already better when Kanako said she would help her. "This is an important matter so I really hope you could find the cards for me. You don't have to look for them one by one. I could do it myself. I just needed all the cards first. Please, Kanako?"

"Alright, it's not a big deal," Kanako readily agreed to Tsubaki's request. "Whatever you're searching for, I hope I could be a bit of your help. Once you return back to the city, I'd contact you again. I'm sure my Mom has stored the cards somewhere inside the study."

"Thank you!"

By now, Tsubaki looked a little relieved. She was glad she had accidentally let go of her phone when Kanako was surprising her from behind earlier. If not, she could never guess this young lady could help her.

It was a quarter to 6 when they finally parted their ways. Tsubaki and Kanako exited the parlor, they promised to meet again in a few days. Both of them were waiting for their respective rides outside of the parlor. Kanako's car arrived first. Her Mr. Bodyguard opened the car door of the back seat.

"Don't worry, Tsubaki," Kanako patted the back of Tsubaki's right hand. "I'll find the cards for you and I'd definitely try to remember whose name is it. So, enjoy your short vacation in your hometown, okay?"

Tsubaki let out a small laugh. She nodded her head, agreeing with Kanako. "Okay. Thank you again, Kanako."

Kanako laughed as she bent down and hugged Tsubaki's small frame. Her tall figure was further heightened with her high heels, Tsubaki looked so small inside her embrace. After that, she left while waving happily at Tsubaki.

"Madam."

Tsubaki turned her head toward Kaede's voice. She had already arrived with the car. Tsubaki gave her a tired smile as she got inside the car. Once she fastened her seat belt, Tsubaki leaned her body against the comfy cushion. She closed her eyes, trying to escape from the threatening headache.

Kaede just silently looked at her Madam who appeared so gloomy unlike her usual bright self. She never looked like this. Before she started the car, Kaede took out her phone and sent a text to a number.

The ride to Spring Garden was only filled with the soft music played by Kaede. She would occasionally peer at Tsubaki who was still closing her eyes at the back seat. Kaede deliberately drove the car slower in order to not disturb her Madam and due to a certain someone's order too.

The journey was twice longer than usual.

"Madam, we've arrived," Kaede announced once she parked the car in the box exclusive for President Fuse's home unit.

"En?"

Tsubaki opened her eyes with difficulty, she blankly looked at her left and right before she rubbed her eyes tiredly. She didn't expect she would really fall asleep.

"Thank you, Kaede," Tsubaki muttered out her gratitude once she alighted the car. "You don't have to escort me till upstairs. Go home and rest."

"Thank you, Madam."

Kaede watched her lady's disappearing figure with a worried face. She looked sluggish. Kaede noticed that her Madam and Miss Esumi had a heavy conversation before they returned home but she knew it wasn't her place to meddle with. That was why she felt obligated to send a message to her Master.

Tsubaki didn't know how she came to standing in front of the door. She remembered gotten off the car and entered the elevator but her mind was blank until she reached their unit. Tsubaki shook her head, feeling helpless. She entered the keyword and held the door handle, wanting to push it.

She wanted to be home.

But, he wasn't here.

Ren said he would return early but she doubted it would be somewhere before 8. She had packed their clothes and necessities for tomorrow's trip. They would take the flight heading to the airport near her hometown before taking a car ride for almost one hour.

Tsubaki opened the door wide. She listlessly dragged her feet inside. Her energy had been drained by the outing and the revelations by Kanako. As she turned around to close the door properly, a tall shadow loomed over her.

"Sweetheart?"

Tsubaki's shoulders slightly jolted up when she heard the familiar voice. She quickly spun around, her gaze meeting a pair of dark eyes. Tsubaki froze for a moment as she took in the soft smile on his face. She stared blankly at the man standing before her. Her lips parted slightly.

"Welcome home," Ren added as he walked closer and gently brought her into his embrace.

Only when she was enveloped within the warmth of his body did Tsubaki return from her daze. Her hands immediately encircled his slender waist. Tsubaki looked up, his eyes were as gentle as ever as the light in his eyes softened when he met her gaze.

"I'm home," Tsubaki said, almost choked up with her emotions.

Ren smiled. He leaned his head down and pressed a soft kiss on her forehead.

"You're home."

Tsubaki nodded. She closed her eyes tightly as she sought peace from his warmth.

It felt so good to be home.

With him.

"I'll make you fall in love with me again." He gently rubbed her head.

"Whenever you're tired donning the cold mask to the outside world, you could come to me. I'll be here." She smiled as she held his hands.

Five years ago, the long winter of his life melted away once she entered his life. He had grown to live comfortably in her cool spring air with the scent of flowers she loved. But, fate had another story. It dragged him away from his spring, leading him to once again living in winter.

Five years later, he had successfully became the King of Winter. To avoid him from drowning in the freezing air, he began her journey to once again inviting the spring to grace his life.

Because for Ren, Tsubaki would forever be his spring.

It was a Friday, which meant one of the busiest days of the week for her little coffee shop. After setting up shop at 4:30 am, Abigael spent the next five hours catering to her early risers. Coffee after coffee, discount for the lady with the keep-cup, wipe down the tables, make a note to order in some more milk. She could do with a coffee herself but she was so busy that her coffee always went cold before she could finish it. 
After serving the IT guys from the firm across the road she quickly rushed out to clear and wipe down the tables before the lunch crowd arrived. Abigael's stomach made sure to remind her of her foolish decision not to cook a proper meal for herself last night, so she had taken out her honey sandwich which she had lying behind the counter and had been taking small bites whenever she had the chance. The hospitality industry could be tough sometimes, and breakfast was always a luxury. 
The time was nearing on 10 am and she looked around in a daze after wiping down the last table realising there were no customers left to serve. Thank the heavens she could finally sit down. Wiping coffee grind off her small stool behind the counter she was about to pull out her phone to check her social media when she noticed something flashing.
The watch. She had been so busy she had completely forgotten about it. [Well, I have time right now so I may as well have a look. Maybe I can find that digital manual while I'm at it.] Taking a sip of cold flat white she tapped the screen of the watch and tried to figure out what was the matter with it.
The display screen was set out in the most normal and boring way possible and there were currently only three apps installed.

There was also a bar at the top of the screen labelled {Notifications} that was currently flashing. She decided to start there so tapped the notifications bar. Four notices were waiting for her attention, the first was labelled {Welcome} 
Thinking that this might be the elusive instructions manual she immediately tapped it and the watch displayed a wall of text that the screen was really too small for. She glanced through but soon realised that this was just the terms and conditions and privacy policy. Most of which related to her lack of ability to make complaints and waiving of her legal rights as soon as she put on the watch. Grumbling about dodgy marketing tactics that forced her into contracts without letting her see them first Abigael searched fruitlessly for any information on removing the watch.
Becoming frustrated and slightly overwhelmed from the copious amounts of wordy text and contract language she decided to leave the message and open the next notification.

Abigael read through the notification again, hoping she had missed something. Nothing about how to use the watch, nothing about how it was charged, nothing about where to go for complaints or questions, not even a company name.
She signed in frustration and looked at the next notification. The shortest one yet.

She clicked the notification and it took her to the {Stats} App. Lines of neatly presented data appeared as she swiped through.

She quickly looked at her skin near the watch, finding nothing she flipped her hand over to find the small wound the made with the butter knife last night in her frenzy to get the watch off.
[Wow, technology is really advancing. It could even tell this...] Feeling that her personal privacy might have just been invaded and insulted she got out of the {Stats} and opened up the App store, hoping she could at least download some music or social media apps. 'What the hell?!' she cried out in shock. The app store had heaps of apps but they were all greyed out except for one.

She decided to tap on it as it was the only action she could make in this broken and useless app store.

It didn't really explain it very well, she assumed it was some kind of health and fitness tracker. Abigael had had enough, this whole watch was just ridiculous. First it refused to get off her wrist, then it gave her the terms of use AFTER she was bound to them, then there was the rude stats and broken app store and now it was requesting her to pay in a form of currency that seemed more than a little dodgy.
'It says I have 10 of these Credits but I've never converted any money to whatever currency this is.' As if in response to her complaint the watch immediately  beeped and the final notification, which she had forgotten about, showed up.

'Stupid voice recording assistant thing! I don't give a f*ck about what kind of omni-armour technological watch thing you are or your dumb welcome gift! I just want this off of me!' She ranted furiously, shaking her arm wildly in the hopes the watch would simply fly away.
It didn't.
'Um, excuse me. Are you still open? I just want a cappuccino.' Came a hesitant voice from the counter.
Abigael jumped and quickly covered the watch with her right hand, then went bright red as she realised it was the hot real estate guy from two blocks away who had just witnessed her rant. She suddenly wished she could turn invisible.
'Ah, s-sorry, yes, won't be a moment.' She said quietly and hid herself behind the coffee machine busying herself with making the cappuccino and wishing the day would end soon.

Abigael was leading a quiet and ordinary citygirl life when by chance she acquired the watch model of the  Pilot Launch Omni-Technical Armour. From that day on she would go on a journey of self discovery and growth as she learnt the truth about the world and even about the PLOT Armour itself.

*ping* *ping*

A noise chimes from his scroll. It rings once, then twice, signaling that he had received a notification. Confused, he glanced at the scroll which was lying face down on his team's shared dresser.

Jaune had put there last night before he went to sleep. It was usually where he kept his scroll as he tended to forget whenever he placed it somewhere else. 

There was also a small alarm clock that was placed onto the dresser. Pyrrha's personal item that she had brought with her from Mistral. One of her keepsake's, Jaune remembered.

Currently, the clock showed that the time was almost nine in the morning. It was ten minutes off nine, to be precise.

But the clock wasn't exactly what Jaune was paying attention to. It was of course, his scroll. For a moment, Jaune Idly wondered if someone messaged him but that made little sense due to him keeping his scroll on vibrate.

Why would it ping?

Did someone mess with it's settings without him knowing or did he himself accidentally do so without meaning to?

A slip of a finger, perhaps.

These thoughts strayed for nary a second before he quashed them and put them to the back of his mind.

Striding forwards, he grabbed his scroll and unlocked it within a second. He glanced over it for a moment before raising an eyebrow in slight curiosity.

A notification had appeared on it.

Well, he supposed that solved the mystery of why his phone had made noisy pings. His settings were still there. It kept his phone on the state of vibrate. 

So no, he supposed he did not either tamper with his phone setting accidentally, nor was someone else doing so. Shame, he was in the mood for a tiny prank right now.

Though... quite odd, Jaune wondered. He could have sworn that he disabled sound for his notifications just two days ago...

Well... another mystery, another art. Or so the saying goes...

Wait... was that even a saying?

Settings and vibration aside, Jaune was much more focused on what the odd notification was about, currently.

He tapped his finger on the notification and out popped a rather neat text box that was nicely crafted as well as seemingly... how should he put this... graceful? No, graceful was too nice. Arrogant? No, no, that was seemingly rude.

No... see, the text box that popped out somehow struck a chord within Jaune's soul... and there was only one way he could describe the block of text that had appeared on screen.

Pompous.

Yes, that was the word.

It looked pompous.

Well now. This is an odd notification. Perhaps the scroll company, decided to update the scroll's software. An automatic update?

That's... unlikely. The scroll company isn't called Multiverse Industries. What in the world is this? Empyrean App?

Perhaps it was an automatic update of one of his games which he had downloaded onto his scroll? That seemed like a likely option...

No...

That's not right either. He only had three games installed onto his scroll and all of them were made by the same game company.

This... was something else.

Jaune had finally realized where this app came from. It made sense! The clues were placed in front of his eyes from the very beginning.

It was so obvious that Jaune actually huffed out slightly from not figuring it out immediately. Hah. That was a good one.

For a moment he actually believed that this app was an update of some sort. Heck, he had almost actually believed that it was some cosmic event occurring.

No.

That wasn't the case.

The main problem/case of the issue of the app was that it was....

A virus.

Yes. Jaune's scroll had been hacked.

Jaune Arc's scroll pings one day while he was playing a game on it. A new app had shown up from nowhere.

At first Jaune believed that his scroll had been hacked but soon he realized that the App, the Empyrean App was far more than it seemed at face value.

In the next class, which was math, I couldn't focus on the lesson because all I thought of was Nate.  Back in the classroom, when I opened the piece of paper he threw at me, it was his number scribbled in messy handwriting.  I smiled.  When did he write this down?

"Melanie?  Why don't you answer my question because it looks like you already know this by the way you're not listening to anything I'm saying."  I looked up to see my teacher along with the rest of the class looking at me.

I sighed, "Sorry Ms. Kim."  When she turned back I rolled my eyes.

Before lunch, I told Jennie that I had to go to the bathroom and that she didn't have to wait for me.  

She smiled at me worriedly.  "Okay, just text me if you need something.  Alright?"

I nodded as she hesitantly turned around and walked towards the cafeteria.  As soon as she turned the corner of the hall, I turned back and took the stairs next to the bathroom.  When I reached the very top of the stairs, I pushed the double doors that led to the roof.

I walked over to the very edge and looked at the scene in front of me.  I could see people on the benches laughing with each other and some walking on the track field.  My gaze shifted over to the school's football field and I saw Leo and his team playing soccer.  I squinted my eyes trying to look for his blue jersey with 22 written in white.  I found him and I saw that he was passing the ball to someone else.  As Leo passed the ball, the guy with 4 on his jersey kicked it and scored.  Was that Nate?  Not caring about the height of the building, I leaned over the ledge, trying to see who it was.  

As number 4 came closer to the bench to get a drink of water, his face was clearer and I could see that it was Nate.  Then I suddenly remembered the piece of paper he gave to me.  

'I should text him right now so that I don't forget,' I thought.  I searched my hoodie trying to look for it but the only thing in my pocket was my phone.  I started to panic.  Did I loose his number already?!  I shoved my hands in the pockets of my jeans.  Nothing.

I stood there with my mouth open.  How could I have lost it already?  Should I ask him to write me another one?  Wouldn't that be embarrassing?  I groaned and face palmed myself.

Cienna, one of the few people Melanie looked up to, died 2 years ago in an attempt of suicide.  But Melanie finds more information that tells a very different story of what happened on that dreading day.  Gray, Melanie's classmate, is somehow linked to this mystery.  What happened? She looked at this miraculously delicate and small laptop. She was so stunned by it that she covered her mouth to stifle her scream. She hid Fu Jiu's secret from the English teacher.
Who would've thought that a plain English textbook could turn into a laptop when it was opened. How, how did he do it?!
Xue Yaoyao's eyes were shaking as she looked at the young man's perfect profile.
She was not dumb. One couldn't buy such a laptop anywhere. Plus, there was no logo on it.
Anyone who studied basic computer knowledge would know that this was a personally assembled laptop with top configurations.
Why… Why would he have such a laptop?
He was obviously just a normal high school kid.
He used to be a rude nouveau riche.
Was all that… just a disguise?
Xue Yaoyao watched those long, slim fingers operate on the keyboard with beautiful technique.
She also played PC games, and she clearly knew that the better the players are, the lighter they type, barely making any sound.
Also… when the young man typed, he didn't even lower his head. He held his chin with one hand, and his beautiful eyes looked at the podium at the front of the room, looking like she was listening to the class rather than playing games.
How great and capable was he that he could manage to do all this?

Xue Yaoyao rested her shaking left hand and picked up the carbon pen. She wrote a note, but she was too excited to write well, so her pretty handwriting was bit askew.
"You were the one behind the Director Zhang's incident, right?"
Fu Jiu was focusing on finding players. The English textbook cover was the result of her work during the whole night. She ordered the cover online, taking a long time and spending much effort to install the other parts.
Suddenly, a note like that appeared in front of her eyes. The handwriting on the paper was blurred out by tears, but the words looked even clearer somehow.
Fu Jiu froze for a second and turned to look to Xue Yaoyao's direction.
Seeing that, Xue Yaoyao hurriedly wrote another note, "I won't tell, I swear, I just think…"
Before she could finish, Fu Jiu had taken her pen and written on the paper decisively and coolly, "Yup."
