Self-made cotton paper was a very important and necessary item when hamster breeding. It could be bought from the Internet. The product was whole, raw, pulp paper, without any artificial dyes, and it could be cut into finger-wide strips. Hamsters would instinctively search for nesting materials after giving birth to their pups. If they couldn't find them, they would be anxious, even if the owner had already made a nest for it. It was useless, however, as it would only be reassured if it was a nest made by the hamster themselves.
The cotton paper was given to the children for free by Zhang Zian––a pack was only ten yuan––and he had the children cut them into paper strips.
When the children saw that the female hamster was actually eating the cotton paper strips, they were all very shocked.
"Is the female hamster hungry? Why is it eating cotton paper?" Little Celery asked, worried.
"Yes, should we give it some food to eat? What if it gets so hungry it eats the little hamsters?" another child added.
"You all think it is eating the cotton paper? No, it is just keeping the cotton paper in its cheek to make it easy to move it to build a nest. The reason why we needed to cut the cotton paper into thin strips was because if it was too wide, it couldn't fit it into its mouth…"
After the cotton paper passed through its mouth, it would become softer, and hence it could not be replaced by normal sawdust. Sawdust was too hard; it could not eat it and it was not suitable to build a nest with.
It kept several pieces of cotton paper strips into its cheek pouch, then ran back to its baby hamsters. It spit out the cotton paper and started to make the nest without any guidance. After that, it ran back into the corner to eat the cotton paper again.
"Isn't it better to directly put the cotton paper closer to the babies?" a child who asked. "That way it wouldn't have to run back and forth. It just finished giving birth so it must be very tough for it, right?"
Zhang Zian nodded. "It is indeed very tough for it, but during the making of the cotton paper and the transporting of it, it is impossible to prevent it from getting some human scent on it. When it puts it in its mouth, its own scent overpowers the human scent. It can't be put too close, otherwise that wouldn't happen."
The children saw that the hamster mother was very busy even though it had just given birth and had used all its strength. It was still painstakingly traveling back and forth, building a shelter for its children. They could not help but pay tribute to it.
Zhang Zian said, "When your mother gave birth to you, she experienced much more pain than the mother hamster. In order to take care of you, she also did more hard work than the mother hamster. Remembering their mothers' daily hard work and how they often made her angry because of their studies and their naughtiness, a few of the usually naughtier boys bowed their heads in shame. Several already sensitive girls were so moved they had to wipe away tears.
If one just stood on the platform and nagged, it would absolutely not have such an effect. One would not be able to let the children intuitively understand the hard work of motherhood. They had to witness it, personally feel it, in order to leave a deep impression on them. If one could do that, the cost of buying pets and the hard work of keeping pets would be meaningful.
No matter if it was pets kept at home or school rearing courses, the purpose was not simply to let children play, but to cultivate their love and sense of responsibility in the process of raising pets. If they could also experience the hard work of mothers in the breeding process, that would be great.
The children had made up their minds to try to start doing housework when they got home later that day––even if it was just helping their mother sweep the floor or wipe the table.
"Little Celery does very well in this aspect. You all need to learn more from her," Zhang Zian encouraged.
"I… I still have not done enough…" Little Celery lowered her head, embarrassed.
Wang Yaning was a bit awkward. Her studies were very good, and all her time outside of school was spent on homework and various interest classes. Her mother also did not let her do any housework.

Spiral-shaped slopes surrounded the busy construction site. In a square pit, there were thousands of workers, most of whom were warriors of Eternal Kingdom. Many of the warriors were unable to enter the construction site and were queuing up.
A huge fat Hamster who was wearing a yellow safety helmet walked towards the sentry tower located in the middle of the pit, which had loudspeakers mounted on top of it. It was a common building found in every construction site. 
Whenever there was overtime, a foreman would rally the workers from the sentry tower to boost morale.
The foreman was usually a huge Hamster. This Hamster didn't notice an invisible superior Devil walking past him. On the shoulders of the superior Devil were a black kitten and a parrot.
"Ah—!"
The loud shouting of the Hamster was amplified by the loudspeakers to reach every part of the construction site. The shouting even reverberated in the deep pit.
"Times are different. Previously, whips were used to indicate overtime. Now, we have to make use of these useless devices."
Polio stood on Sherlock's shoulder and licked his paws. He didn't like the shrill voice of the Hamster.
"Did Lord Sherlock bring you here to feel vexed? Do your job properly!" Phoenix said rudely to Polio while he observed Lord Sherlock's expression carefully.
Sherlock didn't show any expression. Polio meowed grudgingly and jumped off Sherlock's shoulder. The cat trembled rapidly, then transformed into a black mist that drifted out like a black cloud. Even when the cloud drifted out of Sherlock's invisibility range, the black cloud of Polio didn't attract much attention.
The black mist vanished into the crowd.
Phoenix flapped his wings and flew from Sherlock's shoulder. Sherlock wasn't bothered by the departure of his pets. He walked through the construction site. Due to his invisibility, nobody discovered him. Various noises were heard around him.
"After excavating, I'm going back to do my Daily Mission…"
"Sherlie is handsome…"
"That dog Arthur must be thinking of how to take over this farm…"
"Tomorrow, I'm meeting my online crush…"
"I'm cursing that scumbag to a horrible death…"
"The mid-term examination is held tomorrow. Why are you still playing the game?"
"Is the order from Lord Mammon real?"
Sherlock stopped in his tracks. He looked for the source of the voice. The noises in his mind vanished, and only the previous voice that he heard became clearer.
"Who is that superior Devil Sherlock? I checked, and those Goblins are his residents from Eternal Kingdom. He has a good reputation in the Northern Underworld."
"I've heard of him before, but I don't have a deep impression. He fought several battles and wrecked the plans of the Ancient Gods army. Compared to our master, he's still inferior."
"What is Lord Mammon looking for? We have been excavating for many days, but we haven't found anything."
"Isn't Lord Mammon building a theme park?"
"Do you think that it's going to be a theme park? Why would Lord Mammon waste so much money to build a theme park?"
"Perhaps there's treasure underneath the farm?"
"Shh, keep it low. There are ears around."

The voices stopped as Sherlock arrived at the source—a portable toilet with a single cubicle.
The toilet door opened, and two Gnomes came out and looked around. Then they adjusted their pants and tightened their belts. Under the gazes and finger-pointing of the surrounding gamers, they left in a huff.
"Lord Sherlock, this is a piece of important information."
Bru said, "Are these two Gnomes reliable? Why would Devil King Mammon tell his secret plan to the Gnomes?"
"Of course not, but what the Gnomes said makes sense. Devil King Mammon wouldn't waste so much effort to build a theme park. I wonder what Mammon is up to," Sherlock said as he watched the two Gnomes leave.
"Indeed, but there's nothing suspicious at the construction site. Perhaps, this site is a diversion?"
Bru commented, but Sherlock didn't reply to him.
Like Bru had said, the legalities of the construction site were properly handled. The construction site even employed the gamers of Eternal Kingdom. Only the gamers knew whether the construction site was excavating treasure or doing some unscrupulous schemes.
The thousands of gamers who worked for several days didn't find anything unusual.
It was as though Mammon was doing something mischievous but that nobody knew what he was doing. It was hard to bear such a mystery.
"Perhaps Devil King Mammon wants to do something meaningful for the Underworld? Perhaps, his childlike nature has been awakened!"
Bru commented, but Sherlock didn't reply because even Bru didn't believe it.
"There must be a conspiracy. But what exactly is the conspiracy?"

Sunlight poured in from the window at his side and illuminated his body. Beside him were many soldiers of the Godly Kingdom who were sound asleep. Only a noble such as George would have the privilege of sleeping on a bed.
There were too many soldiers of the Godly Kingdom who were freed, and Victoria City was overcrowded. It was a blessing that the prisoners were given lodging.
George sat up and cleared his mind. He then looked at the window and was taken aback.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-128 is to be held in a windowless containment chamber with blast-proof doors and walls and a ventilation system that maintains Class 100 cleanroom conditions inside. The interior of the containment chamber is to be monitored remotely by cameras welded in place with protective grating. The speakers and laser monitoring system must be similarly welded into place and protected with grating. The entry to SCP-128's containment chamber must include an antechamber with a second locked door that cannot be viewed from the chamber door.
Personnel entering the test chamber for any reason must wear ballistic armor and must not bring any loose item inside the chamber. All required equipment must be rigidly mounted to the armor. Interference with the laser monitoring system or the central wheel is forbidden unless required for maintenance.
In the center of the containment chamber, a wheel must be mounted to a concrete pedestal and allowed to spin freely. Should the wheel be measured to spin at less than 4,000 rpm at any time, all personnel are required to evacuate the containment chamber and foam nozzles will be deployed.

FOLLOW ABOVE PROCEDURES - DO NOT ATTEMPT BELOW

SCP-128 is to be kept in a chamber measuring at least 10 m x 10 m x 5 m with walls and door armored in 5 cm steel plate. All personnel who enter the containment room must wear full suits of heavy body armor, including ballistic plates. All loose objects of mass greater than 5 kg are strictly prohibited. Clothing and related items are generally considered safe, as the entity appears to be incapable of distinguishing these from their wearers. Writing utensils, loose change, and other trinkets present considerable hazards to personnel and should therefore be used sparingly never enter the containment chamber.
All items are to be cleared from room via suction before any personnel will be permitted to enter. Once personnel have exited, SCP-128 is to be given small objects, both to study its behavior and to alleviate boredom (if applicable). In the event of escape, the surrounding area will be evacuated and locked down, possibly followed by attempts to herd SCP-128 back into its enclosure. Past experience suggests that the latter is unnecessary, as the entity has shown no apparent desire to vacate the premises and will eventually return of its own accord.

Description: SCP-128 is an immaterial source of kinetic energy which can be conferred upon any nonliving solid material within line of sight of the source. The source itself is motile, with a tendency to remain along the walls or at the central wheel of the containment chamber. The line of sight is blocked by any opaque material, including lead, steel, or even single sheets of paper, but not transparent materials such as ballistic glass. Opaque radiolucent materials will contain SCP-128's range of effect, suggesting that transmission of energy occurs at visible light wavelengths, but darkness does not prevent transmission of kinetic energy.
Any loose nonliving materials within line of sight of SCP-128 are at risk of anomalous propulsion to hazardous velocities. Items under 100 g in mass have been observed to accelerate to velocities of up to 900 m/s in a period of 0.1 second, similar in force to machine gun fire. Analysis of the mass and velocity of every object undergoing acceleration indicates that the system of affected objects contains a constant linear momentum of 2,500 kg m/s, anomalously unconstrained by direction. It is therefore advisable to have many heavier items available to the object instead of fewer, lighter items.
Despite SCP-128's invisible, immaterial form, it has been determined that the entity cannot be compressed into a space under a 2 cm radius sphere. Such compression with opaque materials, however, is not advised, as dust particles within the space will be excited, generating extreme heat, potentially rupturing the compression container explosively.
SCP-128 arbitrarily chooses which items to accelerate, with a slight statistical preference for new objects over older ones. Despite the existence of some form of acceleration choosing, tests do not indicate an active sentience directing the choice, with one exception. The object does not accelerate "living" material, with its own parameters regarding what is considered "living." People or robots moving of their own accord are not accelerated, nor is any part that is rigidly attached. Dead or unconscious people and animals are also not accelerated. Unmoving but conscious test subjects report a light "tugging" in the presence of SCP-128, which immediately stops at the first sign of movement or animal-like characteristics. Plants and fungi, alive or dead, are similarly not accelerated. Unpowered robots, however, are susceptible to acceleration.
Addendum 128-1: Recovery Log
SCP-128 was recovered from a private home in ███████, ██. Reports of telekinesis and random anomalous kinetic activity had been previously confirmed by field agents, and MTF Mu-13 ("Ghostbusters") was called in to isolate and capture the anomaly.

Control: It's standard issue for this sort of intangible. We had to dig deep in our files, had to look up old references. SOP on this dates back to 1968. The phenomenon was called a poltergeist back then.
Delta: Poltergeist? That is old. Type I or II?
Control: It could be a Type I, a telekinetic vector associated with a deceased person, but field agents said that there's considerable domestic strife in the home. It's most likely undifferentiated kinetic energy from a latent Bixby under extreme stress. Type II.
Lead: That's why containment involves the pistols. Tranq all inhabitants, and it should shut down the anomaly long enough for us to figure out whose astral it is. The standard EMP tools are for containment of an autonomous intangible, should it be Type I. Careful in there. Take no chances. Beta, get the parabolic microphone on the house. We need to identify inhabitants.

Closing Notes: EMP deployment for Type I poltergeist containment functioned as expected, but failed to contain the anomaly. Mu-13 Gamma backed the MTF truck through the residence wall into the daughter's bedroom and opened the back doors. When the anomaly was observed to be inside the truck, the doors were shut and backup was called to tow the truck with accelerated debris in the armored trailer. Cover story of tornado striking the house was released.

Addendum 128-2: Principal Researcher's Notes

Principal Researcher: Dr. CordeliaArgent
Subject: SCP-128
Despite what the recovery log would say, this is not a poltergeist. Poltergeists are an obsolete term, anyway. This is not a spirit or a consciousness as we might think of the term. It can't pass through walls or the like. This is a source of kinetic energy. I've updated the description to show this. It's hard to say what, precisely, it is, but it appears to be best thought of as a hole through which a constant momentum enters this universe. How this is accomplished is still the subject of further tests.
In addition, the hamster did not have direct control over the phenomenon. If the hamster had conscious control, then the phenomenon would have ceased with its termination. Instead, if we continue the analogy of this being a hole, then the hamster was a valve covering the hole, which could be opened or closed to allow in more or less momentum. This "valve" appears to have been "stuck open."
So all the talk about us having the ghost of a telekinetic hamster in containment should stop. It's inaccurate.

Essentially you treat the momentum of the system as a scalar constant instead of a vector, independent of direction. Simple enough, mathematically, but it does mean that the energy in the kinetic system is constantly fluctuating and being added to, to maintain the constant scalar momentum. It's supposed to be modulated up and down, but apparently it was under control of a hamster, and when the hamster died, the field got stuck at up.
RodArg: So what's the issue about containment? There are procedures here.
CArgent: They're ridiculous! It's basically "give it toys but take them away whenever someone enters the chamber just so it can fire the researcher's clipboard through his skull"! Kazuma looked at the television to take a look at Bernilli Klein's face. She was not beautiful at all. Kazuma felt betrayed by the beautiful voice that he was hearing since earlier.

Rewind to a couple of hours before. Bob was rolling on the floor due to the first explosion he experienced. Due to the explosion, he gained experience.

Bob knew that there were exploding hamsters but he was never alert against such critters. He was a person that didn't know anything about how the real world works because he stayed safe at home. In essence, Bob was like your typical webnovel reader.

The prompts covered Bob's vision. He was bombarded with the prompts due to the sudden event. He panicked because he could not see anything in front of him at all.

Another explosion ensued. Bob could not see the exploding hamster approach him from the front. The prompts were still blocking his vision, and more were to come.

Bob was once again blown away. He experienced two explosions in quick succession while wearing rags. It was a miracle that his clothes did not break.
*Your 'Hideous Rags' has lost all of its durability.
Nevermind.
*The item disintegrated.
 He was hurting from the initial blast but the pain goes away after a second. Having nothing else to do while spinning as he was blown, Bob read the prompts in front of him.
'Disintegrated?'
Bob suddenly felt chilly. He was not nervous because of what he read. He was only feeling chilly because he was now butt naked.
This process continued until Bob was fed up with being thrown around.
"What was that?" A random noob was looting a Horned Rabbit's corpse.
She was wearing the standard newbie set with a default sword on her left hand. She heard the explosions further in the forest and grew curious.
She peeked and saw something that she never expected to see outdoors.

A voice rang in Bob's ears.

Bob looked around his vicinity to look for his friend that suddenly vanished earlier. He could not find him.
"Where are you? Why can I hear you?"
[I'm on the outskirts of Bagel Village, where I logged out. And I am calling you via PM.]
"Wow. I don't know how that works at all." Bob was amazed by the technology that he never knew existed.
[Where are you?]
"I'm on a rock."
[..... Is that all?]
"Uhmm. I'm naked too."

Chikinsupu was speechless. His new friend named Bob never failed to amuse him.
"I'm surrounded by exploding hamsters."
[Ah. You're in the forest?]

Chikinsupu was a level 6 player. He tried partying up with other players to proceed to the next city but the party he was with fell to disaster.

Chikinsupu did not want any of that. He wanted to gain enough battle experience while he was still low leveled where death penalties were still negligeble.
'Let's be careful.'
He slowly made his way to Bob, who was telling him where to go. And after a gruesome 30 minutes of running from suicide bombers, Chikinsupu made it to Bob.
"Hey! I'm here!" Bob exclaimed and raised one of his hand. The other hand was covering his long schlong.
"I can see you just fine. And it looks like you weren't lying about being naked."
Chikinsupu said as he focused his gaze towards the horde of hamsters that surrounded the rock Bob was on.
'How do I get up there without dying?'
"Alright! Let me clear these guys first!" Bob said as he jumped from the rock with his shiny butt for all to see.

The loud sounds continued ringing until all of the hamsters met the 72 virgin hamsters in hamster heaven.
Chikinsupu looked at the rock that no longer resembled the rock it was before. He looked for the blue light that signified a player's death but he couldn't find it.
"Hey! I'm over here!"
Bob exclaimed. This time, he was stuck on a tree after he was blown. He jumped down the tree but his balace was off. He fell face flat onto the ground.
'Bizarre.'
Chikinsupu was more amazed than weirded out by the scenario. But now was the time to think of something else.
"How did you not die?" He asked with an inquisitive gaze.
Bob, who was still facing down the ground while fully naked, stood up. He looked at Chikinsupu and opened his hand.
"Do you have any extra clothes?" Bob wanted some warmth.
"Here."
Chikinsupu instantly gave Bob the used newbie set that he used before.
"Now tell me!"
Bob began wearing the clothes and finished up. He opened his mouth as he checked his clothing.
"Alright. To tell you the truth. I-"
