    Breathe in and out, Okami. After talking with Archen, he had flown to the cities entrance but had stopped abruptly; the orange wolf was growing nervous. What if the humans refused to listen to him? What if they shot him on sight?.

Okami was too deep in thought as he didn't hear his friend fly right next to him; the animal had a worried expression on his face as he knew what the wolf was thinking.

"Are you ready for this, Okami?"
The orange wolf turns in the direction that he hears the voice in; upon looking up, he sees his closest friend Monster, who had also looked like he was nervous about what was to come.

"I will admit I am nervous about giving this speech, but this day is important, and I can't mess it up. Not while we are so close to freedom." Okami looked down as his ears went down as well; he took one last deep breath in and out.

The orange wolf flew higher into the sky as he entered the city; he lets out a loud screech which gains everyone's attention in the town. Okami was about to start his speech but is interrupted by the sound of news helicopters surrounding him.

This made him more nervous than he had been, but he continued anyway, not wanting something like that to stop him.

"Hello, Humans, Now please do not be frightened, for I am not here to harm any of you. I have never dreamt of doing something like that. Long ago, during the early centuries, Humans and Half-Animals once got along; they both helped each other get through life. When one of them would fall, the other would always help them back up. The Humans always knew the Half-Animals were an intelligent species and superior to their kind. One day that had all changed; one of the sides couldn't accept how life was anymore ad had attacked the other,  Forcing the two species to separate and never cross worlds again. Do you know which side was the original and only traitor, Humans or Half-Animals?"

The orange wolf had stopped his speech with that question; he had been curious who the humans thought were the original and only traitors. It was evident that they were all going to say Half-Animals because everything was blamed on the existence of their kind, no matter the problem.

Just as the wolf had expected, every single Human from below had screamed his kinds name, "Half-Animals, Half-Animals." they all shouted; all of this had hurt the animal, but he continued anyway but not before he gave the crowd a simple laugh.

"Now, that is where you Humans get it all wrong. Humans were the original and only traitors. You see, your kind had become enraged due to the fact that your kind wasn't superior to mine. We were forced to flee from the city and accepted the hard cold truth that had come. We had never wanted the separation, and it is not our fault that we were born to be the superior species. We do this because it is what we were born to do; My species is only existing to protect your kind from going extinct; being betrayed by the kind that you have to protect hurts us more dearly than any problems that you humans have ever dealt with."

Okami had stopped his speech once more as he notices that the crowd had gone entirely silent, knowing that they had just witnessed the cold-hearted truth, and he knew that they could see all of the pain that he and his kind had gone through all of that time during the separation.

The orange wolf looked around him to see that the news helicopters were still there and recording him live; he thought that was good because all Humans who weren't out of their homes could see his speech.

"I'm not asking for you to have pity over my kind. I ask that you set my kind free, free from all of this suffering and pain that you have given to my people and me; we will do our best to protect and watch over you, humans, in favor of you treating us equally. I ask that my kind is allowed to live alongside you humans once more, not for experiments but instead in friendly terms. Any animal who chooses to stay in the city will have to follow the laws just as any human would have to. Our two species have just finished the first-ever recorded war in history, with the victory that my kind has earned; that proves that my kind is and always will be superior to your kind. Thank you for your time, Humans; we look forward to having peace with your kind again."

That was all the wolf had to say as he lets out a big sigh, knowing all of this had been a great success. Okami looked down at the crowd once more as he saw a little pathway with someone who had been waiting to speak with the orange wolf.
Okami hesitantly flies down to the male as he lands onto his hins legs facing the male; the man was an inch shorter than the wolf, but he didn't have to look down at the male at all.

The orange wolf tilts his head to the side; the male smiles at the wolf before speaking up to him. 

"Hello, Half-Animal, I am what your kind would call a leader as I run this city. I had watched your given speech, and I've got to say that it had touched my heart. I am sorry for all of the wrong my kind has caused you, there is no taking back what we had done to you, but the most I can do is apologize. I will allow your kind to live alongside us again, but only if you live under the rules just like everyone else. If your kind breaks any laws, they will suffer the same punishment as any human would."

The man then turns to the humans who had been listening closely to their conversation before he speaks up once more.

"From this day forward, the Humans and Half-Animals will live in peace once more."

Okami was on the verge of tears as he had fallen to his knees; he did it. His kind was free from all of the pain they had experienced. And he couldn't have done it without the support of his friends.
He looked up to the sky before speaking to his parents in the animal language, "Mom, Dad, I did it. The one thing that you guys had wanted me to accomplish, this great day, happened all because you guys had pushed me until I believed I could."

The orange animal flies into the sky once again, giving his farewells to the Human species. He makes his way back to the village to tell the great news; some of the Half-Animals even started to make their way to the city to start a new life.

Mark had walked up to the orange wolf with a big smile on his face; he gave the wolf a big hug congratulating him on the one lifelong goal that he had accomplished.

"Okami, you did it. I can't believe that you did, a lot of things happened throughout our journey, but we made it."

The male pulls away from the orange wolf scratching the back of his head; Mark had been thinking about heading back to the city to start a new life of his own.

"Hey, Okami, I was thinking about heading back to the city to start a new life of my own. Once I've got everything settled, ill come and visit you. What are you going to do? Are you going to find yourself some love?"
The male had said that last part with a smirk on his face as he gave Okami a little nudge on the shoulder.

Okami looked over at Mark with shock; since when did Mark suddenly get into questions like these? The orange wolf looked down as his ears went down and soon spoke up to the male.

"I don't think I could ever fall in love; I mean, who would like a leader like me. I've got a lot of problems with me, and I don't think any animal would be happy to call me their Father."
Mark looked at Okami with shock, not expecting him to get this emotional. He had known that the animal was going through some tough times.

The male takes his leave as Okami walks to his home to get some rest; he had needed a lot of time to process all of the things that had occurred these past couple of days.
The orange wolf was proud of what he had accomplished; he was happy that his kind was free. 

Okami had hoped that things would stay that way for as long as his species had lived.

"I am the spirit Goddess of these woods, my name is Freya." replied the woman politely. "You are Jon Berskaggr, from a great line of warriors and mages. I know everything about you. I would like to assist you in your journey to become Champion of Woden. We have not seen a great age in a millenia and you should be the one to usher it in. We all benefit from this" Freya the Goddess said slyly, raising one corner of her mouth slightly. 

"Well then I accept your help, I was raised to hold the Old Gods with the highest regard and respect. I would help any way I can my lady!" said Jon triumphantly.

As soon as he said this, he felt his conciousness being pulled backwards as he was pushed from the realm of Frosthorn and back to earth. He awoke in a cold sweat. Laying beside him was a beautiful ornate steel shield with golden inlay and braised runes of power. As he looked at this shield he realized that was no dream. He was gifted a sturdy shield from the Goddess Freya. This was probably her personal shield. 

As he stood, he picked up the shield and felt it was surprisingly light, as if it was not made from the materials of this world. As soon as he put the shield on his arm, he felt a cool sensation winding up his arm, strengthening the muscles in his shield arm. This shield was blessed with a 'Kiss from the Gods'. This shield was invaluable to him and he knew he better make use of it. 

As light began to creep into the dark woods, he went to the place he found the rabbit tracks. As he followed the tracks he found a hole in the ground. All that was left was to wait.

After what felt like an eternity, he saw a head pop up from the ground. The rabbit had emerged. Slowly nocking an arrow, he pulled the string back to his cheek. He loosed the arrow and it flew straigh.

Thunk! 

The arrow pierced the rabbit through its head and pinned it to a nearby tree. He now had breakfast. As he cleaned the animal, he realized he had an opportunity to attract a predatory animal. Hopefully a wolf and not a bear as he was not equipped or strong enough to kill a bear. He left the guts behind in a pile by the tree and walked back to camp hare in hand. After it was cooked and he ate, he checked the pile if guts, it had not been touched. 

Days later the entire pile was just gone, as if it had never been there in the first place. Tonight, Jon would watch the pile from a tree to see what happened and plan from there. For all he knew it might be a bear! He hunted another rabbit, left the extras behind, filled his stomach and climbed the tree. 

Not even an hour later, a massive white haired wolf slowly crept towards the pile of guts on the ground. Jon's heart skipped a beat as he saw the beautiful pelt on this majestic animal. As he watched the wolf, it ate the entire pile in a single gulp, like a big fish eating a worm! He used his energies and the world stopped, feeling his muscles bristle, he was about to jump from the tree. As soon as he was ready, the wolf howled loudly and turned away, sprinting faster than he had ever seen. He had missed his opportunity. He decided to sleep in the trees tonight for fear the beast might return. 

The next morning he was ready to finish off this wolf. As he was starting to hunt for a rabbit he realized the beast left his tracks. Jon wondered if he should follow the tracks, this wolf was probably a loner. He followed the tracks for miles, until he came to a ravine. The tracks followed the ravine, until they suddenly went over and into a cave about 8 feet down. Luckily after following the wolf tracks, he discovered a narrow path down. Jon Berskaggr was ready to become a man. He placed some fresh guts near the mouth of the cave and waited just above it. As soon as the white wolf comes out he will pounce. 

Hours went by and finally he heard a scraping noise of claw against rock. He was hopeful that this white wolf was coming out. As the beast emerged from the small cave, it was surprised to find more guts so close. The wolf just kept walking. Not giving it a second thought, Jon jumped from his perch, sword and shield in hand and immediately the wolf turned! It knew all along that he was there! Raising his shield a mighty paw smacked him back a few feet. This wolf was so strong his shield arm was tingling! He raised his sword and let it rest on the top of his shield, ready to fend off the Great Wolf.

For being so deep in the woods, it had never met a human, however it was very smart. The wolf cornered Jon almost talking to him with its growls. Foam dripping from its fangs, it was hungry for him. The wolf lunged at Jon, who slashed his sword at its face. He missed his strike and had to raise his shield to protect against the incoming paw. 

SLAP! 

The blow almost knocked the shield from his arm! Finding his courage, Jon used his energy to slow the world down. Raising his shield he went to one knee and rolled to the side. 

The most awful yelp came from the beast, but only for a second, as John stood and slashed his sword upwards, a nasty squelching noise was made at the same time as the awful yelp. He had sliced into the neck of the beast so deeply that its head was only held on by a single strip of skin, blood and foam gushing from the open wound, the creature twitched one last time and died.

Jon stood there almost in disbelief. His father taught him that skill almost 3 weeks ago. This was the first time he used it in actual combat. He was beside himself now and immediately gave thanks to the spirit of the wolf, spreading its blood across his face, he put the beast on his back and started the long walk home.

Wolf remains in Depression knowing that he couldn't save anyone he killed Emily he has reoccurring nightmares about what happened at the wedding at the time he was in Hell being late to save his family in the reoccurring nightmares he can always watch as they are murdered listen as they scream for help they always beg for mercy before dieing he desperately tries to save them to help them but an invisible wall stops him from saving them after that they circle around him Emily her parent's his parent's his baby brother they point towards him and blame him for what happened to them blame him for being late they laugh and insult him his parent's disown him his Emily leaves him and he sees her being killed by his Darkness and the events of her confessing that the love was gone the nightmare ends with him alone in complete darkness crying because it's his fault this is the nightmare that takes place every time he sleeps. As this is happening the Dragon people grow more and more depressed and concerned about Wolf. In Heaven the Divine entity ends her training she says "Now I've surpassed his Divinity that should make it easier for me" She leaves her training and looks down on Wolf from Heaven she says "Please get better the depression being so long kinda makes me feel terrible" A goddess comes over she has pink tails green eyes the Divine white clothes that represent innocence and a small smile she says "Jade are you still watching that Wolf?" The Divine entity blushes with embarrassment and says "No no no I'm not watching Wolf!" The Goddess smiles and says "Sure your not anyway I'm curious how did your training go?" Jade says "I've surpassed uncle Wolf" The Goddess smiles and says "Uncle Wolf?" Jade says "Yeah father said  they were brother's that makes him our uncle" The Goddess says "So did you decide what your going to do?" Jade says "Yeah I've decided I'm going to let father know my decision" 
One week later
Wolf is still in the middle of his depression when he hears a knock on the door he says "someone's at the door? They'll probably go away" The knocking continues Wolf continues to ignore it he ignores it for ten minutes before getting up slowly he says "What could possibly be going on?" Wolf makes his way to the door and hears the knocking again he says "I'm coming I'm coming!" Wolf opens up the door a crack and sees a green eye looking at him and  black hair Wolf says "What do you want?" The female at the says "Is that anyway to greet your sister?" Wolf gives an Empty smile and says "Happy?" The animal queen says "Can I come in?" Wolf hesitates before saying "Sure" He let's her in she gets a closer look at Wolf and sees that he has becomes extremely skinny that all you can see are his bones his eyes reveal that he hasn't slept a single peaceful night since the depression started his eyes have no life in them the animal queen has a nice figure she's beautiful and mysterious she says "What happened Wolf? You should be dead looking at you that's all I can think about right now I'm sorry" Wolf shows a fake smile and says "Yeah that's right I should be dead but death isent generous enough to take me" The animal queen says "Look Wolf there's a new thing called alcohol on the diamond universe it's said to be able to get over the pain I'll bring you to get some" Wolf says with no emotion "That's fine I needed to move my legs anyway" Wolf follows his sister out of the house he is too depressed to notice the Dragon people outside surprised that he has left his house and came outside. Wolf and his sister soon arrive at the birth place of alcohol the place is nothing special it's the same as any bar Wolf says "I can't afford it" The animal queen smiles and says "No problem it's on me after all I'm wealthy forty times over the jungle was great to make money rare pray" Wolf says "Yeah hunting I once hunted" Wolf grows even more depressed thinking about Emily he is given a alcoholic beverage his sister says "It's on me drink it please!" Wolf drinks it his sister says "How was it?" Wolf says "I feel a little better not much just a little" Wolf says "Can I have another?" The animal queen smiles and says "Have as many as you want" Wolf says "Thank you" one hour later Wolf drinks his one hundredth alcoholic beverage his sister says nervously "Wolf brother are you okay?" Wolf says "Yeah i I'm okay thanks for this I'm already feeling much better than when we came" 1 hour later Wolf drinks his two hundredth alcoholic beverage as well as being the very first alcoholic. Wolf says "Thank you father" Wolf's sister looks at Wolf with concern for his health she says "Wolf brother are you okay?" Wolf begins to laugh and speak gibberish the bar tender says "Looks like he's drunk you should get him home" Wolf's sister says "Thank you will do here" The animal queen pays for the drinks and gives a 100% tip paying twice for the drinks the bar tender says "Miss you made a mistake" Wolf's sister looks at the bar tender with confusion and says "What mistake?" The bar tender says "Your not supposed to leave this much of a tip it's too much" The animal queen says "That's thanks for helping my brother overcome his depression he has suffered from it for so long" The bar tender nods and says "In that case I'm glad to be of help" Wolf and his sister are about to leave the bar when a wave of Divinity washes over the Bar as a Divine entity appears before them.

Wow, I couldn't even imagine that I would gain this much for being the first one to become a Druid. Fame, Luck, and Fate were raised like that time when I gained the First Believer title. And I also gained two new titles. I took a look and checked them and my new skill Great Stag Form.

I may be the first Druid in the game, but I am certain that somewhere in the world there are already players who managed to get another class.
But what made me curious the most was the transformation skill. Unlimited duration and the risk I could somehow get. But if there is no fixed duration for transformation what is the point of having a level for the skill. I should ask Veran when I go back.
During the way back I opened the chat option and called Marco and Wolf. I had to brag to them a little after all. 
, What, you are already a Druid?" asked me, Wolf. I could hear the shock in his voice. Marco didn't say anything, he too couldn't believe it. 
, Just now I became a real Druid. Who cares now if I arrived first into the town. We should have bet on who will get a class first."
, You would win that bet." said Marco, Who would have thought that you could find a Druid instructor in the forest even before reaching the town first."

We then closed the chat and I continued on my way to Veran's home. I was also anxious about the three of us finally getting to play together. For ten years that was our dream and now it will come to life. I wanted to hurry even a little bit and so I shapeshifted into the Great Stag form. 
I couldn't see how I looked but in those 5 seconds, I felt my body structure changes. My face got longer, and my hands and legs now felt the same. My field of sight was even higher. Maybe around two meters in height. In this form, I was higher than in my human form. I can't say that I saw farther than usual but I could hear more and smell more. I looked down and saw two long firm legs in fur which ended with hoofs. My head felt heavy at first but after a few moments, I got used to the filling. I guess that the horns I had are very large. I made a small detour to the river to see my new form.
What I saw in the reflection of the water surface, could be described as Great Stags clone. I am a little smaller then he is in this form and my fur didn't change color that much and it was even darker a little. Otherwise, there were no visible differences.
I arrived at Veran's place faster then I would in my human form. I am four or five times faster in this form. My journey to the town should be short thanks to this form. I released transformation in the vicinity of Veran's house. Too much in animal form is a great risk according to skill explanation and Veran's words. Since I just acquired it I shouldn't use it for a long time. 
, Come up." Veran's voice echoed through the forest. I listened to him and climbed up. He was waiting for me with ready chairs and a table with some sour fruits on it. I sat down and took some to sate my hunger. I was more tired than I thought. Maybe all that excitement masked my hunger. Veran waited for me to finish and then congratulated me.

, So you felt that. I am not well versed in shapeshifting but I can tell you what some of our wild brothers told me about animal forms. Some animal forms can't be improved while some can. To be specific you can't improve forms per se, but you can start and use some techniques or skills in those forms. You will feel yourself when one of your animal forms is suited to gain a skill. Those skills can be used for combat, scouting or some other things. That depends on the form. I gained one such skill in my bird form."

, I guess I should tell either way. The easier way is for you to have an animal by your side. An animal companion if you like."

, Not exactly. Hunters are also attuned to nature a little so they have an easier time in taming beasts. But there is one crucial difference. When hunters pets come to harm, if they are injured or die, hunters, themselves won't come to harm. But in our case it is different. We druids make a bond with our companions. Some call it Soul Bond. Whenever your animal companion comes to harm so will you. The opposite is also true. In some way, you will share the same life force. There are few Druids who have an animal companion of their own, but they still exist."
Animal companion for druids, Soul Bond. I did not expect this. If my deductions are right since we players can't truly die in the game the same should apply to hunter pets or druids animal companions. The difference should be in losses one suffers when one dies. If hunters pet dies only the pet should lose some EXP and skill proficiencies. But for druids, if a companion dies, in the worst case druids also dies, in the best, he losses EXP and skill proficiency. The same applies to a companion if a druid dies. Having a companion is a double-edged sword. I should think very carefully if having an animal companion is a good thing.
Veran saw that I was lost in thought so he said one more thing.

At one moment Veran makes me give up on finding an animal companion and then at other he encourages me to do that. It's like he likes to see me in a dilemma.

At school, I told Maria, Anna and Nick who pestered Anna less than usual, that I got myself a class. They were all surprised. Maria smiled at me and said, " I knew you can do it". Anna just said "Wow" and clapped like a little girl. No wonder everyone likes her. She really looks like everyone's little sister. Even Nick said "Good job". I was surprised a little, but not that much. Nick may appear like a tough guy but overall he is a good person. I mean, he wouldn't be a teacher if he wasn't. To work with children you, yourself need to be a good human. That is how mom and dad raised me after all. It seems that Nick is also headed to the same town the girls are going to. In the game, I said goodbye to Veran and said that I will come back in the future. I traveled through the forest for the next few days. I also managed to reach level 10 because I hunted some undead animals when I passed Great Stags territory. Good thing that on this side of the river there were no forest demons. I knew that because undead animals were all bones. That means they were like that for a long time. I put 10 points in endurance because I wanted to raise my health a little. A notification also appeared about ten more class points after level 10. For druids, half of those points must go into intelligence and other five can be freely distributed between endurance and agility. After three days of traveling on two and sometimes four legs, I reached a stone bridge which brought two banks of the river together. I made my first step on it and in my sight appeared Little Fort town.

A world of which he only heard stories of, when he was a child, and could only imagine it. Can this still be called a game, or is it a totally new(old) world?
The cover is not mine, I found it at some site about Slavic mythology and thought that it looked nice and badass.

Guys, I will certainly not drop this novel. I was busy these past months whether with college or with finding a job. I am still trying to balance everything and AOG had to suffer because of that. I hope that I will continue with my writing in a couple of months.

Apart from weird dreams, martin's routine remains the same, right after having breakfast he walked to school and then went to his classroom, getting there, he found the same kids talking about Kingdom of angles and demons (KAD), they seemed even more excited this time,but this time the group was not limited to just 4 boys, instead it had a total of 20 people talking in this group, a total of 13 men and 7 women.

They were so distracted by the conversation that they didn't notice martin sitting in his place. Listening to what they were saying, martin more or less understood the conversation between them.
They all decided to go to the same realm, Crescent moon realm, And they were planning to hunt together. The highest level among them was the boy who talked to martin the day before, Lucas.

He was showing off that he found a good hunting ground and managed to reach level 10 quickly, and entered the kingdom level table.

After another 5 minutes of conversation, the whole room was already full and a tall, well-trained teacher arrived in the room.

He started to explain about the great interplanetary wars that took place in this era and things like that, to tell you the truth, even though martin has improved his understanding and his memory, he still preferred to ignore this class.

After another tedious day in class, it was time to go home. After walking for 20 minutes, Martin arrived at his house, he wasted no time, after eating he went up and entered KAD again.

As soon as he joined the game, he returned outside the wall, and went back to hunting, as the servers had just opened again, very few players were online. To prevent a large part of the population staying in the game all day and so gain a big advantage, in the first 3 months of KAD the servers would open from 14:00 hours until 22:30.

Right away, martin realized that the number of rabbits compared to the previous day was very small.
The first thought he had is that the developers predicted that they would have a lot of players in the early days and put a lot of low mob.

Thinking that his thoughts made sense, martian started to go further from the wall and arrived at the old hunting ground he used, but unlike before, he had a large number of players hunting in that place, without having any other option martin decided to go hunting elsewhere.

Going even further from the wall, Martin came close to a forest, the bush there was denser and bigger, it reached almost to the knees, compared to the grass of the other hunting places, here it was much bigger.

Walking carefully through the bush, Martin was looking for some animal to hunt hidden in the bush. At that very moment a rustle of leaves was heard, startled, Martin turns to the noise and sees an animal jumping on him.

Lifting his sword quickly, martin manages to intercept the attack, yet the force of the attack was very strong, and made him fall to the ground, only with the sword to separate him from the creature on top of him, he put the greatest amount of force possible in the sword.

Hot blood began to flow from the animal with snow-white fur, seeing that it could do some damage to the animal, martin used all the strength he could muster, and took the animal off him.Leaving the old tall grass totally destroyed, Martin managed to look at the animal well, the creature had blue eyes, white fur, a long tail and sharp fangs, each paw of it had 5 claws looking like ice. On top of the creature's head it had the name : Snow Forest Wolf LvL: 30

The animal was so real that for a second martin forgot he was in a game, the hot blood that dripped down his face was really scary, even so, Martin realized that the animal had too high a level to be hunted by him, but escaping from there would be difficult.

He decided to try to hunt the wolf, he walked calmly close to the wolf, who was getting more and more enraged, as if he was in such a hurry to kill martin, the wolf did not wait and attacked quickly, when martin realized the wolf was already in front of him again.

Quickly dodging to the left, he rolled on the floor and climbed quickly, before the wolf managed to land from its previous jump, martin attacked him without mercy, using all his strength martin hit the sword in the animal's throat.

Blood started to drain from the wound, seeing that his attack was effective, martin did not stop and attacked again, every attack aimed at his throat or his eyes, even though he had no hunting experience, at that moment martin became the predator and the wolf the prey, not even he understood what was happening, but for him, it was all very natural.

5 minutes passed since the beginning of the confrontation the old one by the white of the wolf turned red, he was at that moment lying on the ground and small blue particles came out of him, as if he had melted, after 3-5 seconds, the wolf disappeared for complete and only a martin left completely soaked in sweat and blood, from both the animal and his.

Getting close to the remains of the martin wolf he noticed that some items were still on the ground, a total of 11 to be more precise. 3 white wolf fangs, 5 ice claws, 1 white leather and 2 wolf bones.

After reading the sign, Martin begins to return to the wall.

At the moment I heard, "My name is Peanut." I almost laughed. I couldn't believe that I had just spoke to another animal, let alone the fact that I didn't actually have to say anything to communicate with the creature. I looked to the doctor to try to tell him what was going on but he seemed able to understand that something had happened. He said that we could talk about what was discussed in the morning after I changed back. The doctor said to see how much I could get from the creatures, so I looked to the creatures across from me and told Peanut to turn away from me so that I knew which one it was that was speaking. The second one from the left stood and circled for a second before settling like a puppy curling up in the sun light. The doctors looked at the tag and saw that it was in fact a puppy and pulled out a chart logging different things that they noticed about the animal's peculiar behavior. The doctors tried to give several directions to the puppy wondering if it was the connection that I shared with it or if the animal actually had some sort of control over it's self. The doctors would have different people in the room give it tasks to do and waited five minutes to see if it would act when given a verbal command. When the puppy wouldn't do any of the tasks given to it they came to me and asked to see if I could get Peanut to do anything. They would give me different tasks that they wanted the pup to do and would then watch to see if it was able to fallow the instructions that I gave it. It was as if he was my own personal puppet moving in exact motions, directions, patterns and rhythms given to it by my mind. Eventually the doctors wanted to know if it was just the dog that I could communicate with and asked to see if I could speak to the other animals. They said to focus on each one individually before sending out my thoughts to them. I focused on the female deer that I inspected when I entered the room asking if it understood what was going on. When that happened the deer looked to my eyes and I began to see an image of a deer running through the woods playfully bounding, then all of a sudden a powerful wolf leaps out of the bushes and bites down on its neck forcing it to the ground and the image faded. The look on my face must have been quite a sight as the doctors were more interested in me when the image faded than the deer that had raised its head to look me in the eyes. I tried to do the same with the snake that I did with Peanut, though it didn't understand exactly how its newly grown appendages worked and fumbled around like a newborn calf. The rabbit on the other hand had insisted on bouncing more than actually moving like a dog or wolf. It would hop into the positions that I would give it and never really moved from a sitting position save to extend its legs leaping into the air, but the only one that could actually reply to me was still Peanut. I decided to try and have a conversation with the pup to see if it knew what was happening or if it was even aware that it was no longer a tiny puppy, but a giant wolf that was powerful enough to take down several deer. Peanut began to tell me of a story passed down from his dad saying that once there was a powerful wolf that lived in the woods with the Indians so long ago that no man would ever remember. He went on saying that this was the story of how the dog became man's best friend. The night was cold and stormy when the powerful wolf went out for its hunt, its fur blew in the wind as it ran through the wooded mountains searching for its last meal before the blizzard became too harsh. When all of a sudden it was attacked by a very fast and powerful man. This man was pail and blood dripped from its long teeth as it tried to kill the great wolf. The wolf managed to kill the man and escape, though the man had hurt it terribly in it's ambush. It lay in the snow bleeding as another man walked up to it. The great wolf was injured but it would not lay by while any other creature was near enough to harm it. It stood to meet it's pursuer but the man moved swiftly out of its way and swooped in to embrace the great wolf. When he had done so many others of his tribe came out to help him carry it to safety. The great wolf confused by the actions flailed and scratched and tried to bite the men who carried it, but when they began to place it on the ground inside one of their tents it realized that the men who had carried it away had no intention of harming it. The man who had embraced the great wolf was put in charge of its healing and formed a bond with it so strong that some said that it was as if the minds of the two had become one. The man had said that he used the magic of his people to heal the Great wolf making it stronger and faster. Peanut continued telling his story of the man and the great wolf as they hunted together and had become inseparable. Then one night the men with long teeth attacked the village searching for the one responsible for the death of one of their own. The man and the great wolf fought valiantly against the men with long teeth but their numbers overwhelmed them to the point that the Great wolf and the man who had saved it lay dying on the field with holes ripped in their necks and long cuts down their bodies. As the moon rose the Great wolf lay its body over the man to keep him warm and to try and heal him with the magic that he had used on it. The Great wolf's blood flowed from it's neck into the man's mouth and the man began to change right then and there. His bones cracked and his skin tore away from his body until he himself became like the great wolf and ran off the army of men with long teeth. The Great wolf having given up its magic and being wounded in the battle made a decree to all of it's kind to protect the men. When the sun rose the man had changed back and he held his friend who had fought beside him. He swore that he would create an army to avenge the great wolf and that they would hunt down these creatures until they were extinct. The battle has raged for so long the neither side truly remembers what the war is about, they only know the hate that they have for each other. The truth of the war has only been known to the dogs who stand beside man for thousands of years until now.

Generations passed and the last of the great spiritual chiefs came to be. Taha Akiera a man of peace and was known for his wisdom. However, there was a man named Utlapa who believed that they should use his magic to expand their control over the Hohs and Makahs, building an empire. When the spirit warriors left their bodies, their minds were connected to each other. Taha Aki did not like what Utlapa wanted and expelled him from the tribe. Utlapa left and hid in the nearby forest. 

Taha Aki was vigilant and protected the people from him even when there was no danger. Every now and then the Spirit Chief would leave the village in a sacred and secret place in the mountains. He would leave his body behind and search the surrounding areas for danger or threats. One day, Utlapa followed Taha Aki planning to kill him, but while waiting for him to leave his body, he hatched another plan. Utlapa left his body, took Taha Aki's body and killed his. Taha Aki knew immediately what was happening when Utlapa joined him in the spirit world. He ran back to his holy place, but it was too late. He followed his body in his spirit to the tribe. For weeks he desperately watched Utlapa making sure everyone believed he was Taha Aki. Then came the first edict of Utlapa: no warrior was to enter the spirit world because he had a vision of danger, but in truth he was afraid of Taha Aki. Utlapa took liberties with the tribe that no one had dreamed of. He took a second and a third wife, even though Taha Aki's wife still lived. Eventually, Taha Aki led a great wolf into the mountains to kill Utlapa and free the tribe, but Utlapa only hid behind the warriors from him. The wolf ended up killing a young man, making Taha Aki's grief even greater. 

Taha Aki had been away from his body long enough to be in agony. He felt condemned never to cross the line between life and death. The great wolf followed him through the forest and Taha Aki felt jealous of the animal; At least he had a body and a life. At that moment, the Spirit Chief had an idea that changed the future of the Quileutes. He asked the animal if he could share his body with him and the wolf obeyed. As one being, the wolf and the man went to the village. People feared the wolf, crying out for the warriors' help. The warriors came with spears in their hands, but they stopped in surprise at what the wolf was doing: the wolf was withdrawing from the warriors and trying to shout the songs of the people from him. The warriors realized what he was doing and could only think that he was being influenced by a spirit. 

An old warrior, Yut, disobeyed the false chief's orders and left his body. Yut picked up the truth in an instant and welcomed Taha Aki. Almost instantly, Utlapa realized what had happened and ran towards Yut's body with his knife. The other warriors were confused. Yut returned to his body but was unable to fight Utlapa before warning the others, as he was too old. Taha Aki watched as the spirit of Yut left the world and returned to the body of the wolf feeling a great rage. The wolf shuddered and transformed into a man in the eyes of the warriors. The man did not resemble Taha Aki's body, but rather his spirit, which the warriors recognized instantly. Utlapa tried to run, but Taha Aki had the strength of the wolf and killed him. Realizing what had happened, everything returned to normal. The only change he kept in place was the ban on spirit travel. Since then he was known as the Great Wolf or the Spirit Man. He led the tribe for many years because he did not age. He fathered many sons, who in time discovered that they too could turn into wolves upon reaching manhood. However, they were all different because the wolf form reflected the spirit of man. Some became warriors like Taha Aki and did not age, others did not like to transform and began to age.

The team's quick departure might have been a mistake.

As if sensing the timidity of the group of humans, the green light dots in the darkness moved quickly and came near a few moments later.

Gu Qianqian and Li Xiaochun looked back when heard the sound behind, they warned in a low voice, "Attention, everyone! Prepare for battle!"

With the words ended, the figures of seven wolves appeared into their sight, seven wolves whose bodies were twice size of the ordinary wolves.

Facing the fourteen warriors with swords, the seven wolves looked kind of timid. Suddenly, a long howling of wolf came behind them, which made the seven wolves showed a bloodthirsty look, roared and rushed up towards the team.

Wei Gaoyuan was closest to the wolves, he struck over the first wolf rushing in front with one sword strike. Behind him more than ten teammates had rushed back to join the battle. When shooting his sword to stab the second wolf, he found a small green wolf slowly walking out from the trees behind.
This green wolf, smaller than the ordinary wolf, had a pair of bright eyes, bright as eyes of human beings. It stared at Wei Gaoyuan, growling, showing its sharp teeth.

Wei Gaoyuan had felt the unique pressure from the extraordinary green wolf, staring at it warily.

Staring at him for a moment, the green Wolf moved abruptly like an arrow and shot itself to Wei Gaoyuan as a green lightning.

Wei Gaoyuan wielded the sword to swipe the neck of the green wolf, and the blade touched its front paw for defending, making a harsh sound of friction between metals, with the first round ending, they immediately got more than ten feet apart.

Green Wolf once again gave a low roar, with its front paw holding the ground. It looked like suffering no damage at all, the sword unexpectedly failed to cut its paw — was its paw made of steel as his sword? Wei Gaoyuan asked himself in surprise. 

The green Wolf didn't give him much time to think more. With a low growl, it shot its body forward, clawing at Wei Gaoyuan's face. With the sword in hand, Wei Gaoyuan stabbed the green Wolf's neck with at least 90% of all strength. He believed, no one below the stage of the Mystery could defend this strike. However, the green wolf suddenly turned over its body, changed the direction of his paw-strike to directly pat the blade, a clear clatter of metals, the sword was slammed aside. The man and the wolf were apart again after a short second-round fight. 

Two rounds between the warrior and the wolf, an even result.

Seeming to be aware of each other's power, both sides didn't continue to act rashly, staring at each other quietly and motionlessly. At the same time on the other battle fields, Gu Qianqian and Li Xiaochun had killed a wolf and rushed to help other teammates.

All of a sudden, the green wolf threw back its head and gave a long howl, then jumped back with an unwillingness in its eyes. Wei Gaoyuan quickly took this opportunity to hack at the green wolf's back body from the side.

With a fine rolling on the ground, the green wolf evaded it without much difficulty and did not intend to stay fighting anymore, turning to run into the darkness in woods behind. At the same time, the remaining six wolves took the chance to retreat quickly in order after the green wolf. Moments later, there were nothing left on the battle field but a dead wolf and the people gasping for breath.

Of the left six wolves, there were two who had got severe injuries, yet no one tried to stop their retreat.

After all of the wolves disappearing in sight, everyone uttered a sigh of relief, a teenager with a childish face threw himself onto the ground and looked where the wolves disappeared, "I just wonder…why did they choose to retreat?"

"I guess, they've perceived that the overall strength of their team is not so strong as ours…" Li Xiaochun said. "The wolf is very crafty…with high intelligence. The leader of them… that green wolf…after rounds of fighting with Gaoyuan, found itself could hardly win out. Had it chosen to continue fighting, the wolves, the rest of its team, might have suffered heavy casualties…"

"So that's it!" the childish face teenager clapped his hand with a look of enlightenment.

As his words ended, a wolf howl suddenly came from the distance in the darkness, which seemed to be a scream of pain, everyone looked at the direction of the sound, but nothing could be seen.

"Just keep moving..." Li Xiaochun turned and walked towards he opposite direction where the wolves ran away.

Another day had passed, few of the youngsters from Qizhou City had experienced such a tough jungle life, therefore, the whole team fell into occasional silence, exhaustion written on everyone's face.

At noon on the third day, a clear stream appeared in their sight. The whole team broke into cheers and rushed to the bank. Some held water in their hands and rubbed it hard on their faces; some just directly buried their faces in the stream and gulped a few mouthfuls of cool water, then revealed a look of full satisfaction.

Wei Gaoyuan filled his kettle after gulping down some water. He looked around when suddenly his alert ears trembled slightly, then he fixed his eyes on the front vigilantly. After a while, the sound of footstep was coming from the front woods, heavy and hurried. For a moment, a boy running out from the woods, with dust on his white face and blood on his clothes.

The unexpected visitor also saw Wei Gaoyuan and his teammates, first showing a little happiness, then turning into seriousness. He shouted, "Run! Run…a Spirit…a Spirit Animal!"

What? A Spirit Animal?!

Everyone looked at each other in surprise and doubts.

Different from the ordinary animal, the Spirit Animal had got the spiritual intelligence and was able to swallow and absorb the Spirit Qi like a human Taoism Follower rather than live by instinct of ordinary animal. Although most Spirit Animals were still not as intelligent as humans, they were literally far superior beings to the ordinary animals.

To become a spirit animal, an animal must practice harder than a human Taoism Follower to go through the stage of Spiritual Judgement. (The cultivation system for non-human beings is not the same as that for human Taoism Followers) Once successfully broke through that stage, it would have roughly the strength of a warrior at ninth level in the Mystery. That is to say, the weakest Spirit Animal own the power to fight against a human warrior at ninth level in the Mystery.

All in the team simultaneously focus their eyes on Wei Gaoyuan, the only one in the team who were at ninth level in the Mystery, the only one who owned the power to fight against a Spirit Animal… 

That boy saw that no one was moving after his warning, thinking that no one believed his words, so he cried out again anxiously, "Run! There is …really… a Spirit Animal!"

No sooner had he ended his warning than Wei Gaoyuan heard a sound of hiss mixed in the sough of the wind. Moments later, a snake, a giant snake, was seen wriggling towards here from the deep woods far behind that boy...

"A Spirit Animal! Everyone… run, Now! " Wei Gaoyuan shouted.

"Can you see its ranking?" Gu Qianqian asked.

"No," Wei Gaoyuan shook his head and said, "this snake is, I estimate, at least seventy or eighty feet long. I'm afraid… I'm not so sure to kill such a giant...."

His estimation really made everyone extremely nervous.

"You go first! I'll be trying to stop it… for a while…" Wei Gaoyuan said, drawing out his long sword.

"I stay to help you!" Gu Qianqian said, her teeth clenched and her face paled.

"No!" Wei Gaoyuan refused, "just go quickly, don't risk yourself…I'll try to escape if it's far stronger than me..."

It was obvious that Gu Qianqian was not able to do much help for him in such a battle, but she would do much trouble for him if Wei Gaoyuan was trying to escape.

Gu Qianqian was definitely not an idiot and understood it quickly. With a disappointment in her eyes, she only gave a sigh and turned to others,"We go first, don't distract brother Gaoyuan, that's a Spirit Animal!"

Many people had wanted to run since saw such a giant, but none of them think that one warrior ought to leave their teammates behind with great danger. After Gu Qianqian's remark, every one quickly got her intention and ran fast to leave.

The injured boy looked at Wei Gaoyuan in surprise and said anxiously, "Brother, that is a Spiritual Animal! You wanna fight with it alone!?"

"I am the warrior at ninth level of the Mystery, and… I'll try to fend off it as long as I can... just run! " Wei Gaoyuan said.

"Brother, take care of yourself! Thanks a lot!" full of surprise on his face at first, the boy quickly cupped his fist with a bow then turn to left fast.

Now the giant snake had been less than one hundred feet away from him, and its strong body turned out to be seventy or eighty feet long, with the huge oval head and a pair of big eyes glowing red.

Despite being a warrior of ninth level in the Mystery, Wei Gaoyuan just felt his heart pounding… Holding his long sword and staring at the giant snake, Wei Gaoyuan suddenly let out the imposing pressure of the warrior at ninth level in the Mystery, which was felt rolling  to the giant snake!

With the death of the God Emperor, the World of the Gods, the former paradise, fell into an absolute chaos. It also triggered a few great wars among numerous superpower forces in the three worlds, who were fighting both for the God Emperor’s supreme throne and his powerful talisman.
