Do you want to…"

Mu Yuchen pressed his lips against her before she could finish her sentence. He patted her head when he backed off. "Don't worry. We'll be fine. It's just a wedding banquet. We might be back a little late, so don't wait up for me."
He then walked outside.

Rows of chickens were lined up like the military and stood still as Cucko gave them a motivational speech and went around checking their form, pecking them in the neck if they got it wrong.

In total, there has to be more than a hundred chickens here and their built was  bigger than the normal poultry chickens, their eyes glistening with the bravery of barbarians from the mountains and their fur colorful like the rainbows of the seven sky!

"Cuck! Cuck! Cuckoo!!!" Cucko angrily cucked while stomping its feet, creating a huge depression on the ground!

Knowing that Cucko was angry after being called as a pet, Wei Shang helped the Village Head to stand up and fed him a recovery pill before explaining, "This chicken, eh- I mean Cucko, is not our pet, but our comrade and part of the team.."

He then continued to explain that their rescue effort was only possible largely due to the help of Cucko and his henchmen in their ambush.

After knowing this, the Village Head immediately prostrated on the ground while crying emotionally, "Ohhh Great One, please forgive this lowly one for besmirching your title! We foolish peasants do not know the heights of heavens and had unknowingly wronged you despite the great lengths you did to save us! Please cease your anger!"

The rest of the villager immediately followed suit and prostrated on the ground as well.

"Great One, please forgive us!" they cried out feeling guilty, making Fei Longwei and Wei Shang speechless once more.

A few moments later, Fei Longwei took a group of men to bury the dead while Wei Shang took another group of people to assess the extent of damage done to the village and salvage whatever they have left that could be used. Meanwhile, most of the women was left to tend the wounded and some were tasked to cook food in order to recuperate their strength.

"I thought that our Jiu Empire was doing quite fine.. but to think that a village like this would be so vulnerable to a bunch of bandits and were killed like ants.." Wei Shang said with gritted teeth right after having finished his task.

After all, there were several tens of thousands of villages spread across in the Jiu Empire and only some were closely connected to the Airtrain station, where their security would be easily guaranteed by the nearby military outpost.

To put it simply, the Jiu Empire simply does not have enough resources to protect common villages from harm!

At most, there are only several thousands of Official Knights and a few hundred of Titled-Knights in the Jiu Empire. Majority of them were either tasked to protect the border or were sent out on missions and expeditions.

This therefore, left only a handful of them which limits their effectiveness despite actively travelling between villages. As a result, a massacre like the village they were in right now would sometimes occur.

"Don't worry too much. Now that our Lord has become the Imperial Overseer, things will definitely change. I don't know how much money he got, but one time I saw him playing dominoes with several thousands of high quality spirit stones.."                 Some time ago, I read liufenlei's comment, and Thank you for this big comment, I wanted to write something motivational because I read lots of self-help books and also I wanted to write comedy but I fail in this.  I live in Maharashtra, and here as our mother tongue is Marathi, we mainly watch Marathi films, (we also watch other language films, but Marathi is favorite)  and because of this I have mindset of no angst because, in Marathi film, there is no big villain actually, My favorite film 'Banvabanvi' is a story of four young men and there biggest problem is finding place to live, and the film is based on this, they also have there career and love problems, but there is no main villain, and especially the heroes are middle-class people, I can relate with them, I also like face slapping and OP mc stories, but I believe that there is no real angst or antagonist or Villain because every person is hero of there own life, everyone has their own perspectives, and definition of success. If there are really so many bad people then happy endings films are not valued because bad people never like good endings, (this is my own philosophy). So in this story there will be no villain, Arjun, Samira and Adhira are all going to face their own problem, maybe they fail or maybe they become successful. 
             And one more thing there is statistics about novel which shows that people read web novels mostly at night, I just wanted to say that don't read anything 10 minutes before going to sleep, because I also read horror or tearjerking stories and I am not sure but the next day I don't feel energetic at all, I don't blame those stories, but after all our mind is so powerful that time so try to not read or read something which helps you in your career, your relationships, or something uplifting.

I notice something when I was checking my stats in the morning after I killed the 3 guys, I receive 3 points of exp for killing the coachman and 3,5 for each bandit, so practically fro killing 3 humans I get 10 points of exp.

After the class finished on introducing themselves, Miranda directly dived in to teaching the students. Her class will talk about the basics of being a warrior.

But how do we strengthen our bodies?" she asked the class although she already knows the answer, this is also important in order for her to know which students have greater foundation.

"Teacher!" Sylvester raised his hands while waving it to the teacher.

"Okay, you", she pointed at Sylvester who instantly stood up raising his head high proudly.

"Our body can be strengthen by consuming treasures that can help in making our bodies stronger. Such as the Red Honey, meat of the Ironhide boar, and many other treasures." he was born in an influential family so he was spoiled into eating this treasures to strengthen his body and create a good foundation for his cultivation.

Miranda nodded at Sylvester's answer but clarified the students about an important matter.

"What Sylvester said is right but that is only applicable if you are rich and can spend a lot of money for this resources as it can not be easily acquired.

There are also other methods in strengthening our bodies like doing some intense training, cultivating using a cultivation technique and many other things.

But what we are going to use in this school to strengthen your bodies is to do some intense training as this is the most basic form of cultivation.

So my dear students let us train hard for the future of our city." she smiled as she ended her discussion with a motivational sentence.

The students are all looking at each other feeling their bloods boil. They are young and passionate youths so they are easily moved by Miranda's motivational words.

He was happy to see that Asuna was motivated as he himself was also looking forward to this intense training that their teacher said.

"Alright everyone, brace yourselves." with a wave of her hand a rumbling sound could be heard and in the next moment several runes can be seen in the floor.

The whole classroom lit up with a blinding light and the students can't help but close their eyes. Kirito has his eyes closed while his left hand was covering Asuna's eyes as he knows that this girl might be up to something again.

"Brother your so mean how can you cover my eyes?" Asuna snorted at him looking very upset. But her temper right now only added a bit more charm to her beauty making all the other young men in the room in a daze.

"Your foolish that's why" he had to admit that Asuna is pretty cute when she's upset.

Asuna didn't answer but just pouted at her.

Kirito can only helplessly be defeated. He looked around and notice that they are in a different place. The classroom was no longer small as it was three times larger than before and there are all sorts of equipment around them.

The equipment inside were all of the high quality and there enough for them to use at the same time. Kirito recognized some of the equipment here as he himself is always training in his sleep.

Miranda was looking at students trying out the equipment one by one but all failed to. She was happy that they were vigorous and love to challenge things this is a good sign of being a good cultivator. But when her gaze swept to Kirito she was surprised, the other youths are already jumping around trying out the equipment but this particular youth remained calm and indifferent.

This was the first time she saw someone that could be as calm as he is even when he is at the age where he should be more repulsive and rebellious. Even she was a bit rebellious before, he he , okay she is a bit rebellious even now. But that's not the main point here Kirito is undoubtedly very calm, even more calm than an old man who had lived for over a hundred years.

Oh, might as well watch out for other surprises he might give me

Shrugging this train of thought she focus her attention into teaching the students.

"Okay class I hate it when people asks me questions so pay attention to what I'm going to say. Look at that equipment over there." she pointed at the corner of the room where fist sized balls are laid.

"Those balls are called Gravity Balls and although they may look like they are small in truth they weighs 100 kilograms. The reason why they are called Gravity Balls is because you can alter their weight by increasing the gravity inside the ball.

In order to increase the balls gravity you just need to put some of your retroid energy in there, the more retroid energy you put the greater will be the increase of the gravity will be. But be careful though as it can be increased up to 10 times."

The gravity balls are so small in size so it was very hard to believe that they are so heavy. It was black in color and was very shiny they look more like a decoration than an equipment used for training.

Kirito and Asuna were already quite familiar with the gravity balls but the two of them didn't dare to let others know. They might attract unwanted trouble if they do.

The class continued with the students trying to carry as many as gravity balls as they can. Kirito and Asuna from the sides are talking to each other while carrying gravity balls.

Asuna was holding into 2 balls while Kirito was holding one ball instead. But if you knew that the ball in Kirito's hands is at the maximum weight which is 1000 kilograms no one would dare to look down at his thin looking body.

Not noticing the passage of time it was already the end of their class so they had to exit the pocket world.

The place where they were training is known as the pocket world. It is created by multiple runes stack together to create a dimensional space capable of keeping living things. Although the pocket world they trained was small but it was the result of thousands of runes stack together.

Back at their room, Brown Class C

"Students you've done well this time so I will not keep you any longer. Comeback here tomorrow at the same time. Now go have your launch and unto your next class." she also exited the room and went to the cafeteria.

The whole Brown Class C was soon then emptied of students.

Kirito and Asuna like an inseparable couple walked together towards the cafeteria which was located at the center of the academy.

Upon entering they've noticed the large number of students eating in the cafeteria while talking to each other.

The whole cafeteria was filled with students wearing different color of robes. The area was so lively and there was laughter everywhere.

The two of them did not attract much attention aside from other males glancing at Asuna the two of them was not really troubled as they got their launch.

Kirito looked around trying to find a place to eat their launch but the chairs was full of people. He decided to eat their launch outside as he saw earlier that there was a lot of bench.

Asuna followed him from behind like an obedient dog while maintaining her eyes into Kirito.

They soon found a place to eat there launch as the two of them chatted while there at it.

"Big Brother Kirito how was the training earlier?" they have long been accustomed to each other so they don't keep any secret with one another.

"It was fine I guess but doing that type of training will not increase my strength. I guess I made the wrong choice on going here but if it weren't that I lack the license to become an official cultivator I would have long left the city." he took a bite at the meat on his plate.

Asuna upon hearing Kirito's words chuckled. How could she not know the monstrous training his brother always do? She even suspected that her brother is trying to commit suicide by doing all of these.

"Big Brother you dummy who would dare to compete with you? Your training alone is already inhuman how could it be compared with the academy's training system." 

The training system of the academy is based on building the foundation for the students it was not too hard and not too easy it could be said to be an average type of training.

"Okay enough talk, finish your launch first." he patted Asuna's head and continued to eat his food.

"Yes!" Asuna nodded and then gobbled her food up.

Seeing Asuna eat this way Kirito didn't whether to laugh or cry.

"Slow down or you might choke"

The Omniweb is the Internet of the Universe. It was a group of institutions much like the UM (Universal Market) that spanned the whole civilized Universe even though it doesn't have a clear hierarchy or system making it extremely chaotic. It was much like Earth's Deep Web with the exemption that almost everyone uses it.
For reference, the Octanet (The Octagrad's Internet), the HyperWeb (The HPG's Internet), and the Zitani Almanac (Space Wikipedia) were all but a tiny part of the Omniweb. And each of these different networks could connect to each other through the Omniweb.

As Geneva read through the different articles online she couldn't help but throw the tablet she was holding as she set her ship's course towards the Octagrad.
"N-No..."
But when she got there all she saw was rubble. She didn't even catch a glimpse of the detested creature that destroyed her home.
Geneva immediately went to Zitani for answers on how to hunt down that detestable whale.
And here she was, half-mad as she rambled on and released her frustrations on a bunch of silent old researchers.
"TsNao*Xs!" Geneva began to curse and shouted making the Hierarch and the other elders piss themselves.
Geneva might've almost continued her crazy ramblings if not for the entrance of another group of women.
"Lady Geneva, please calm yourself..." A middle-aged Zitani woman calmly said.
[[[OUR SAVIOR!]]] The male Zitani thought when they saw the Hierarch's Wife and her Huntresses enter the room.
"Oooh. A bunch of old women dares to interrupt me?" Geneva finally cracked. But she still couldn't do anything rash as she knew the Women in front of her were the real military force that protected The Great Library of Zitan!
"We heard what your college Tynon did to our Great Library during our absence, and although we know we are weaker than you O "Queen of the Xerclodian" we must advise that you still speak to us with the minimum amount of courtesy we show to you... Can we not speak like civilized women instead?" The woman strictly said.
*Huh* "You're right... I was a bit rude. Please forgive my rash behavior" Geneva breathed.
Even though she had the power to crush everyone here, Geneva knew that these women in front of her weren't pushovers, and it would be a great loss on both sides if she were to act aggressively towards them.
[Besides, they've already asked for negotiations... If things don't go the way I want... I would at least have the justification that I at least heard them out, right?] Geneva thought.
The women in front of Geneva were the Zitani Matriarch and her Huntresses. You see because the Zitani males were indeed very docile and resigned one would wonder how the Great Library of Zitan, the largest collection of information and data accessible to everyone could keep their independence despite being controlled by the docile Zitan.
While it is true that the Zitan males preferred books and research rather than dominance and war, the opposite could be said about their women.
The female Zitani were more warlike and enjoyed the thrill of battle! This made the Zitani a formidable race. For while the men were researching and learning of new technology and improving the collective knowledge, their female warriors were armed with the Hitech equipment and armaments they needed for war, that was if another alien race was foolish enough to underestimate them.
In truth, Jade was actually a pretty special Zitani female as she preferred statistics and books rather than going off to some faraway uninhabited planet to hunt crazy monsters with her mother and aunts.
This was why Jade was the only female teenager around when Tynon attacked the Library. And why Tynon managed to defeat more than half of the Zitani as he only fought with the male emergency militia and not the full military force of the Zitan.
Throughout her life, Jade thought she would never understand why her mother and many sisters (Her mom and dad were very busy) liked going off to faraway planets to hunt. But all that changed as right now, Jade was even more savage and wilder than her mother and sisters were.
*Huf Huf Huf* Jade panted as the bodies of countless small creatures and 20 larger creatures littered the floor around her.
After the set amount of ammo, she rationed for that night was consumed, Jade had no choice but to fight in a melee against the beasts that kept on attacking her camp wave after wave every night.
Jade felt extreme exhilaration as she looked at the Glaive she crafted from an enormous tooth of a large four-toothed alligator-like creature she had killed.
Then she smiled with great delight as her eyes turned even more wilder...
