After a good show, transaction is finally completed. Graphic Groups was sold for $7 million and Al has promised to inject more $5 million more and move the company from San Francisco to Los Angeles.

George Lucas and Spielberg congratulate him for a success transaction.

"Al, come with me everytime I have some business transaction, maybe they will afraid of your bargaining skill." Spielberg joking.

"Okay but I want comission 20%." Al said with smile.

"You are ripping me brat." He just smiled and shake his head. Then he saying farewell to him and continue to discuss the <Indiana Jones> post-production results with Lucas.

He already call Ari Emanuel to find a good office in LA and found them in Playa Vista for $70,000 a year.

The new President will be Alvy Ray Smith, and Al will meet some of the rest 40 employee to discuss the Graphic Group problems.

The next day, they arrive at Graphic Group office in Richmond, California. He meets with some of the co-founder of Graphic Group.

All of the Graphic Group employee knew that Edwin is quitting and some of them resign and follow him, so now the company only have 25 people left, most of them are young people.

"Okay, I want to ask what this Graphic Group has made before?"

Alvy said, "Well we have this program called REYES, a 3D converter computer program, and also an Image Computer, we called it Pixar Image Computer, used for working on CGI and we also trying to work on animation department, John Lasseter here have made animated the short film The Adventures of André & Wally B."

He tell his new boss what they have planned with Edwin before, to sell Image Computer and make an animated film.

He was afraid that his new boss would disregard the their 3D animation dream and focusing on making CGI effects.

Al smile and nod, and said, "Okay, I won't cancel any of your work before, but the opposite. Firstly I plan to rename this company name, its too old fashioned, I will rename it to Alfheim Studios."

"Alfheim?" Alvy ask, "It means realm of light elves." Answered Al.

Alvy ask again "Weird name, is it greek?" Al just shrugged and said, "No, its from norse mythology."

"A good name." Everyone else also nod.

"Then this company will be focused on 3 things, as you said before I will continue the animation department, not only 3D but also 2D."

Everyone feel happy about it, especially Alvy and John, Edwin is not here to see this day come. Too bad he is underestimating this boy, sometimes he is too arrogant and felt humiliated to work under a boy.

"Second is to continue the CGI works, but I need improvement and new technology. So this department will be combined with research department. I want to make the effects as good as possible and all of you here going to help me to realize it."

Everyone agrees to this idea. Al really plan to bring a 2020s CGI, VFX, and motion capture technology to 90s. He will make many aqcuisition to some special effects company and bring it under banner Alfheim Studio.

"Third is to make a game developer department, but this won't be realize until 3 to 5 years. Current game console is only have 8-bit processor, I plan to make 16 ... no, 32-bit and make this best game company, but due to lack of graphic expanssion slot in some computers and console, we plan to delay this first, just make some foundation."

Now everyone see Al in different light, he really understand about computer and graphic technologies, not only that, he aim it higher .... no, highest.

After some discussion, they agree to make Malcolm Blanchard as Vice President, John Lasseter as Alfheim Animation Leader, Ralph Gugenheim as Special Effects Leader. For game, he will do some outsourcing.

The Alfheim employees also surprised by their boss knowledge of programming and made many suggestion to improve the software capabilities of REYES.

The only problem is how the hardware could not cope up with their software. The current technologies is suck, no graphic slot enchancement in regular computer, how the hell he supposed to do any rendering.

So they just improve slowly, wait the right time for hardware develops, and they are focusing in improving Pixar Image Computer first.

The Alfheim Studios will move to Playa Vista next month after New Year 1984 and no one in Alfheim Studios has problem with it.

Well, 3 of the 9 realm has completed, Muspelheim Film, Nidavellir Finance, and Alfheim Studios.

The next thing is he really need to go back to orphanage before Christmas or Mrs K and Mary will be very mad at him.

Today is a Christmas Eve, so the 7 of them are decorating the Christmas tree, now they are glaring at Mary who relaxing and drinking her cofee.

"Oh come on Mary, really?" Al said, complaining to Mary, while the 7 other kids are also repeating his words.

"Oh come on Al, its my first day of my vacation, yesterday was really tiring! Let me relax a little." She complained.

"Mrs K!! Mary won't help us!" He call Mrs K, "Solve it on your own Al, I'm too old for this." Mrs K said and made Al have a black line.

Then Al sneak behind Mary and pull her into the Christmas tree, with the help of other kids of course.

Now Al's height has reach 168 cm or 5'6" and now bit taller than Mary. So he easily carry her to be sacrificed under the christmas tree.

He now has a lean and strong muscle due to exercise program and food diet he plan. He also force the boys to join his training programs. The girls also joined too, well only Annie but she is a singularity that can't be corrected even when the Counter Guardian came.

After they made Mary to help them, Mrs K bring them a hot chocolate and few cookies. They gather at living room and Mary had a little talk with Al.

"Please Mary, be CEO of Yggdrasil! You have promised that if I made a company, you'll be the CEO! Even Toby and Jon also want to join my company!" Al begging her.

"Yeah Mary, we can be co worker." Toby also encourage her.

"Oh really Toby? I'll make sure you become my errand boy for 10 years Toby." She smiled evilly

Toby's face become pale and immidiately said to Al "For another thought Al, I disagree to let Mary join Yggdrasil."

"Marrryyyyy." Al whinned. She smiled and said, "Okay okay, I can't believe I made that promise years ago. Guess I will babysit you again until you're an adult."

"Woohoooo, Mary finally join!" Al and others are cheered, except Toby.

"But I won't join now, wait at least 1 year, I need to finish some business in my current work first."

"I will wait but not long, or I'll find another person to become CEO of multibillions media company!"

After some debacle created by this munckin, they have another relaxing night, the time is showing 9 o'clock and they are watching some tv series together.

This year's winter is colder than before. A small rain occurs this morning and now only drizzle can be seen from evening.

There is no snow in LA, even in winter, the last time snow appeared in LA was on late January 1962.

Suddenly, the front door bell is ringing and everyone is confused. Who would have come this late night in Christmas's Eve.

Al came to the front door, open it and see the image that will haunt him forever.

Yaman turning pages of a journal dated 20 November 2015 and stops at the article " Joseph little angels orphanage seized: J&J industries head denies delinquency." 

*At room no. J227*

"If I were you, I would have never said yes to Ashish". Himadri smugs. " Why? He didn't justice by asking you out?" Prajakta smirks back. "Eeeu.I don't like him"himadri resort. 

*Outside college*

" Little angels! We are looking for a graphic designer to finalize our layout!"Prajakta says looking towards ashish. "I have work here" ashish replies."Work! In orphanage?" "I spend my childhood here." Ashish says without meeting his eyes. "Sorry." This is all Prajakta afford to say. 

"This time don't repeat the mistake!"Sister Roshan says looking at Prajakta, who was busy adoring kids playing in the park. "Yes I know" Ashish replied recalling the past. "She love-" Roshan tries to speak , Ashish cuts in "I know." 

"Let's go." Ashish eyes Prajakta to sit at his back, They drove bike to graphic designer for their work completion.

*Next day At college*

"How is Prajakta? You like her?" Yaman proclaims . As he  observes Ashish attraction towards Prajkta. "What do you mean?" Ashish baffles. "You and Aesha were childhood friends. You liked her as much as liked you.And she looks like A-" Ashish cuts in between"No. And her name is Prajakta."

"Her beautiful, flawless, skin. Peachy lips that compliment her perfect smile. I was envious. That's why I did it. I couldn't just let her-"

"That's far enough," The firm, and quite annoying, teacher's voice interrupted.

I slightly nod my head and sit down, feeling rather uninterested in the book after being talked over.

What we were reading today seemed a bit graphic for school, but we skip over those parts. The murder of Emily was probably the most graphic of the murders. 
Emily was described as having her 'guts sprawled around the floor.' 'Stomach opened like a door.' And  'one beautifully blue colored eyeball..missing.'
The teacher, along with the kids in my class, probably couldn't read it as expressive as it should be.

"Are you feeling okay? You didn't seem too interested in-" A hand was placed on my shoulder, causing my head to instinctively turn to the source.

"I'm feeling fine, Elizabeth," I exasperated. 
"Usually you're all over this book and I-" her hand retreated back to her side, allowing me to fully turn around to her.

Elizabeth's uniform always seemed to fit her nicely. Her sleek long brown hair reached her lower back, while mine barely grazed my shoulder. She had pretty blue eyes which outshined my dull black ones. I was a bit jealous, only of her straight hair. Mine was curly and a mess to contain, while hers was easily maintained.

"I said I was fine Elizabeth. Go talk to Ashley," I said, waving her off. 

The book in her opposite hand was pushed against her body harder. She did this when she was too shy to speak up when she had something 'extremely important' to say.

"B-but.." her bottom lip lightly quivered. If she doesn't get more confidence then she won't survive.

I turned around, feeling too bothered to even listen to her whine. Elizabeth always wasted my time. After school was the worst time for her to do this. 

Today I was required to meet someone, who has decided to keep their identity anonymous, behind the school. According to them they've got a 'deal' that they'd like to discuss, and I'm happy to go. Anyone who is willing to make a deal with me is worthy of my time.

Meghan Murphy doesn't expect much from life anymore. Each day is identical to the last – tomorrow will be a repeat. The monotony has set in. She can see the foreseeable future stretching out in front of her, and she doesn't relish the view.
Life isn't supposed to be like this. I had so many plans. So many ambitions. Where did it all go wrong? she thought. I'm only twenty-eight; I'm too young to give up on life.
She used the worn dishcloth to wipe the crumbs down off the kitchen counter and dumped them in the flip-top bin. She looked across at her husband as she tossed the cloth into the sink.
Douglas Murphy sat in his chair, watching the game. The same chair he dropped down into every night, after returning from a twelve-hour shift at the factory. Loud cheering poured from the large flat-screen TV. She knew he wouldn't move all night. He would flick through the channels, annoyingly jumping from one to the other.
They didn't watch the same programs anymore. Meghan enjoyed the soaps and reality shows. Doug watched the sports channels.
Not that Meghan got any free time to sit and vegetate in front of the TV. The three kids sponged up every minute of spare time.
There was the oldest, Cory, who was eleven, and Candace and Melody, the eight-year-old twins.
She had Cory when she was seventeen. She didn't even get the chance to finish school.
That's where she met Doug; he was on the football team – the hottest boy in her year. He used to have a six-pack you could scrub clothes on. Everyone knew and respected him. He helped the town win the area finals four years in a row. He was a prize catch. Everyone was jealous of her. They were the perfect couple. The king and queen of the prom.
Meghan looked over at the reality of that decision. Eleven years ago, she was so happy. So content. She was dating the fittest and most popular boy in the whole town.
She studied what eleven years had done to the perfect body she had fallen in love with.
She looked at his receding hairline and hanging jowls, and a protruding paunch, which he was resting a can of beer on, while the other nicotine-stained handheld the TV remote.
On a shelf on Doug's right were the four trophies he won back in his heyday. His accomplishments. The accumulation of his success – small enough to fit on a wonky shelf that he couldn't even fix to the wall properly.
Even after three children, Meghan was still the same size she was when she was eighteen. She put it down to stress and running around after the children and Doug, like a headless chicken. The only change was she needed larger bras due to her breasts almost doubling in size after breastfeeding the children. They had shrunk down a bit when she finished, but they never returned to normal.
She sometimes stood and just stared in the mirror. She had slight crows feet at the edge of her hazel coloured eyes, but they weren't too bad yet. Her hair has always been the same, dark brown and past her shoulders. She normally just tied it in a ponytail to save having to do anything with it. A friend across the street cut it for her. She cannot remember the last time she treated herself to a haircut at a real hairdresser.
Jane, from the cafe, commented that she was pretty, and had a great body for someone who has pushed out three kids, and tits a porn star would be proud of. She also commented that Doug was lucky to have someone like her to come home to and raise his kids.
Doug chose that time to lean forward and reach back to scratch his butt, digging his hand right down the back of his trousers.
He was every girl's dream; she mused. Look at him now. He gets out of breath just walking up the stairs.
They didn't even eat together anymore. He would grab the plate and plunk himself back down in front of the television, scooping the food into his mouth, while half of it stuck to his scruffy goatee.
Meghan ate with the children before he got home. Doug didn't like sitting at the table at the same time as the kids, they annoyed him by talking while they were supposed to be eating.
She can't remember the last time they had a real conversation about something other than the bills.
Meghan's days were carbon copies of each other. After she woke up, clothed, fed, and drove the kids to school, she then returned home to tidy up and do the washing and ironing, and then she would head back into town. She had a part-time job down at the local cafe, waiting tables during the busy lunchtime.
After three hours at the cafe, feeding and cleaning up after other people, she would rush home and start preparing the main meal of the day.
When she was first married, she would spend hours preparing fresh meals with local produce and take care with its presentation. It even lasted a few years after Cory was born. Now the meals are normally from a frozen box or a special offer packet. Instead of checking the food in the oven, she simply pushed a few buttons on the microwave.
After feeding the family, and washing and putting away the dishes, and wiping down the table, and getting their bags and clothes ready for school in the morning, and picking up toys and empty beer cans, she wouldn't have a break until all three children were in bed. Then she would have the couple of hours of the kids coming back down the stairs, stating they needed to use the toilet. Or, could they have a drink; I'm thirsty. Or, I'm hungry still. Or, I feel sick, do I have to go to school tomorrow?
She would finally get about an hour to herself after they eventually fell asleep around 10 PM.
All the while, Doug would sit watching the TV and say nothing as his kids ran back and forth up and down the stairs slowly driving their mother crazy.
Doug would then nod off in his chair with a cigarette in one hand, and a beer can in the other. He would rise about midnight and wander to bed, without taking a shower for the third day in a row.
From Monday to Friday was always the same. The weekends were even worse because she couldn't dump the kids at school. And even though Doug never worked on the weekends, that was 'His Time,' as he liked to call it. He would disappear with his workmates, going to watch the football. Or out for a few cold beers, even though they struggled to find the money to cover the bills.
His latest gimmick, for getting out of the house, was his band. He played a guitar when he was a teenager, and even though he hadn't picked one up in over a decade, suddenly he and a couple of mates were playing in a garage somewhere as if they were teenagers again with no adult responsibilities. He disappeared twice a week to go 'jam' as he called it. He would return home stinking of beer and whisky.
It never occurred to Doug that she might need a day off. That she might need a few hours away from the children and all the chores. But as far as Jake was concerned, she only worked three hours a day!
However, things were about to change. Meghan had reached her limit.

A month into my freshman year of high, I decided that it isn't going to be exciting, and I can't tell you how happy that makes me.
This year I wanted to get over my social anxiety and make at least one friend.
I've never really had friends before, so I don't really understand them.
Why do people want to surround people that are exactly like you?
I mean that's what friends are, people who share at least one thing in common with you.
But from what I observe from watching those around me, friends can either make you a worse person or make you better.
For me, what has been my friend all my life, is my music.
Even if my crowd of fans is only my mom and younger siblings.

Mom always says that my name would be perfect if I were to become a pop star.
The only problem with that dream is I would first have to get over not only my social anxiety but my stage anxiety.
It got so bad, where the school had to excuse me from any and all presentations in front of people.
I don't have any problems in front of teachers by themselves, only when I'm in front of people that I know hate me.
The reason I enjoy disappearing into the background is that harsh words don't reach your ears because people just regard you as air.
Those who lack attention and love seek attention, but people like me who have a loving and understand family don't go and seek it in any form.
That's why I am okay with being considered air because it means I'm not the target of the cruelness of all the rich and famous kids of West Hollywood Private High School.
Today started like every other morning, I got up and made breakfast for my siblings.
Sapphire was being her usual outgoing self, her twin Jaspar was messing around with Zircon our baby brother, baby Amber was sitting giggling watching her older siblings well playing with the back of Sapphire's hair
People ask why our mom only named us girls after gems not realizing that Jaspar and Zircon are both gemstones.
We all carry the last name Rose, not to mention our middle names somehow can all be related to a famous artist nowadays, I got Arianna, Sapphire got Taylor, Jaspar got Justin, and Zircon got John.
Mom uses these artist's names and tells people why she gave us these names, in reality, she wanted us to have a normal name if we hated our first names.
Personally, I don't mind the name Jade at all, thankfully it's not a truly common name.
Sometimes I wish I were a little bit normal, despite not wanting a normal name.
I've tried to fit in my whole life, even when I was a tot, I knew I'm never going to be like the crowd.
I will always be an outlier.
Speaking of outliers, it goes perfectly with what we're learning in math, plotting dots, graphing.
With a major partner project that we start today, and that I'm never going to get out of.
At most I'm hoping that I can get out of the partner part of the project and just complete it myself.
Though my partner would have to join another group, I'm sure it would be fine considering who sits next to me.
Luka Cheng, the Chinese-American heartthrob for every wanna be in this damn school.
His dad is a famous music producer and is THE person you want to work with.
People act like this is some amazing fact.
My thoughts have always been, ya no shit, sherlock.
We go to school with the sons and daughters of famous people, everyone here has connections.
Though I may be a nobody in this school, my mom is a kickass CEO running most of the entertainment circle in Hollywood, but I don't flaunt it.
My mother has told me if I am ever going to go anywhere in life, it has to be done by myself.
Nothing is free, everything comes with hard work.
The only problem is again... I suffer from severe anxiety.
Anyway, after breakfast, we drop baby Amber at daycare, and then my siblings and I walk to school.
They go to school on a different campus but the difference is only a few minutes walking distances.
We live in Beverly Hills, and West Hollywood private school should technically be in Beverly Hills because the school is right on the border.
It's only a mile and a half to school, and since mom insists that we stay fit and have a ten-minute mile, my siblings and I can all easily walk to school in half-an-hour.
Walking into Graphic design I take my normal seat in the back of the class and stare down at my keyboard.
The only time I ever look up in is class is when I absolutely must.
At least for Graphic Design, I have a computer to hide behind, also the computer lab is situated in rows and there are not enough people to fill up all the rows so I sit by myself in the back row.
Out of the corner of my eye, I see Luka Cheng enter Graphic Design, for some reason the hottest topic of gossip this month is the fact that he took graphic design instead of a music elective.
It's ridiculous as fourteen-year-olds that we care about things like the class schedule at least he can take a class like music.
I can only imagine the fool I would make of myself if I ever took a performing arts class.
I would trade my class schedule any day with any of Luka's fangirls, why, one might ask.
I share the exact same class schedule as him.
Going through my first day of school was hell, and it was because I was so afraid of one of those fangirls coming after me.
Luka in each one of my classes on the first day of School tried his hardest to sit next to me, and I have no idea why.
I'm glad teachers assigned seats quickly, the last thing I want to do is be stuck next to him in all of my classes.

There's a girl at the elite private school of West Hollywood High School. She keeps her head down because she doesn't want to be seen. One person sees her very clearly and wishes for everyone to not only see her but hear her, in all of her glory.

"Its a girl!", the doctor said to the parents. "Why am i here?", asked the baby,but,no one could understand her. After all,babies can't speak english when first born. "Aww it's my precious baby",said the mom. The baby gasped,the mom looked exactly like diana first mom,Marie Joseph. Diana couldn't believe the gift god gave her.She got back her family! But something was different,she could tell. Her dad was wearing some foreign clothes. A large white cloth that had words and pictures on it. And then pants that had holes.(in modern times it would be called a graphic t-shirt and jeans.) And her mom was wearing a weird blue dress.(basically called a medical gown) Also her parents had different hair colors,their original hair color were black,now they are a brown/chestnut color. After she was checked for any abnormalities, she went with her parents to their home. When they went home Diana saw all the black kids running around the streets. In her mind she thought how were kids able to play around without a care. Don't they know that the police are the most racist in san francisco. In five minutes they reached their home. Before they went into the living room her parents went to the kitchen to wash out their die in their hair. Then they went in the living room and her dad pressed the remote. "So agents,did you enjoy your vacation.",asked the head of the secret service. "Yes sir,we had such a happy vacation",they said sarcastically.

B: "Well, in my experience, especially in the country I live in, Zimbabwe, there are high expectations for young men to get their act together once they have graduated from university. Tanatswa's failure reflects badly on his parent and also his interest in unconventional fields like manga art, music production and game development, which are not careers that parents would think of for their kids, make him seem unfocused. So he doesn't get along with his mother because he has failed at the normal way of doing things plus his interests in other things are a mystery to her, which makes her associate it with senseless drivel. He was just unlucky."

B: "Yes. Not all titles will be obvious, but if you can guess their abilities through their titles than you have an advantage over them."
Cherrypompom: "Shami and Tanatswa get together and have graphic sex in your book? Did it have to be that graphic?"
B: "Well, for the story, I think it was necessary. In some aspects of writing, one may depict sex between two lovers in a romanticised way, with just 'they made love' and you leave the rest to your imagination. In my case, I realised that two highly attractive people, living alone together, one being unexperienced and passive whilst the other one being overt and direct, would lead to eventual sexual activity, but the basis behind it was lust. Without the escape of modern conveniences like contraceptives, it's risky business having unprotected sex. So the graphic nature of the depiction was to show how people can get lost in the act without considering the consequences. Pleasure can ensnare people so the depiction had to be raw, irreverent and carnal, because as soon as they were done love making, they were now dealing with other problems."
Sichijpop: "Is this going to be a long novel? Because I love binge reading long books."
B: "Yes, definitely this book is going to be a bit lengthy, but to be honest, I don't know how long. Maybe 500 chapters max or more. If I feel like there is more to tell and people are still interested in reading it, then I assure you, you will have a lot to binge read."
Nier2bnot2b: "Most of your characters have unique backgrounds like the female lead Shami who was studying architecture in university, the film maker Malcom and the most surprising of all, Clarice the pornstar. Why did you create a character that did porn for a living?"
B: "Well, I think as much as porn stars stimulate people's hormones by having sex on camera for entertainment, they are still people who are acting as these personas and have lives of their own. In today's current social media environment as well as entertainment industry, people see the persona and not the person. Pornography can be dehumanizing for the actors who are probably trying to make a living by portraying these characters who are mindless sex addicts that can be objectified. It's all smoke and mirrors at the end of the day, even if it's socially unacceptable in most cultures. So Clarice is an extreme case because she is neither a YouTuber who pretends to be loud and gregarious nor some teen socialite who behaves a certain way to get views, but everyone goes through some process which is just like doing a job to get money. Some make prank videos, some have sex and have their videos posted online."
Tennytom: "When will we see the blue poison lady's brother? I love the plot twist about the reason why they are in Goshem, keep it up!"
B: "You will get some foreshadowing about his appearance, but not anytime soon. A lot will happen before they will have to face him. By the way, thank you for your appreciation of my work, I will work had to post more."

Staying with Eva certainly wasn't boring. On the first night they were at her house she insisted they were going to burn through as many Disney movies as possible so Hazel would know who all they bothered standing in line to take pictures with. 
She hadn't realized her lack of knowledge had been so apparent. But Eva wasn't unkind about it. It seemed more like she wanted to share something fun that she liked than she thought Hazel was crazy for not knowing before. 
Most of the movies were pretty cute. Exactly the sort of things kids tended to eat up. 
Hazel had enjoyed it too once upon a time. Her parents used to put those types of movies on for her and sometimes even take her to see them in theaters. 
She used to wish they would play movies while she was in the mental hospital. But after meeting Will and hearing all of the amazing things there were to know about the real world, the fictional one hadn't appealed to her as much anymore. 
Besides, once she got out her uncle wasn't the type to allow children's movies in his house. He didn't like the slightest bit of noise indicating she existed most of the time. That was the only reason he supplied her with minimal art supplies. 
Drawing was always an effective way to shut her up. As she went back to school and was able to check out books from its library she tried to draw the things she read about. There were even some guides on how to draw that helped her a lot as she tried to improve. 
Hazel spent the remainder of her elementary school days and most of middle school as well refining her technique. She was so absorbed by all there was to learn that she had no interest in friends so it wasn't like anybody other than her uncle would have taken her to the movies either. 
When they weren't watching movies, Eva wanted to hear more about Hazel's life. There really wasn't much to tell leaving out her juicy past. She was a pretty boring person. 
Talking about her art was a fairly safe topic. She mentioned that she had been interested in it basically her whole life so it was the obvious career choice even though people advised her against it. 
Everything had worked out in the end. She landed this comic job, which looked great on her resume. And after that she ended up married to someone who was willing and able to buy her all the art supplies she could ever want. Will had kept his promise quite well even if it was later than she had hoped. 
Getting here had been a rough road though. Her uncle didn't support her dreams and refused to pay for her to go to art school. He had barely acknowledged her when she got a scholarship by buying her a school sweatshirt. 
All of her high school teachers (except the art teacher) were against it too. They thought she was wasting her brains on a field that wouldn't pay well or offer a consistent job unless she decided to be a graphic designer. 
Hazel didn't want to spend her entire life creating lifeless things for other people. She refused to go down that road, even if it meant picking up a bunch of odd jobs to get by. 
Graphic designers didn't have any sort of creative freedom whatsoever in her mind. She needed to be unrestrained and free in her art or she felt choked. Even working with a finicky author like Eva was far superior to making logos all day. 
The nice thing was that Eva understood how she felt about taking the easy road. She could have gone to grad school to become a social worker like every other psychology major she knew because it was the 'smart choice' with that degree. Social workers, like graphic designers, were in high demand. 
But she was one to take the road less traveled by. If she went back to grad school it would be to specialize in the very specific field she wanted and nothing less. 
She had told Hazel how she ended up where she was now, in what her mother called 'a career dead end.' Yes, she was working two jobs and didn't have the most glamorous lifestyle but she made enough to do fun things every so often like their trip in Florida. 
The point was that she was doing what she wanted and didn't feel a rush to change that. Hazel could respect that. 
What she was less fond of was that Eva's interest in true crime and serial killers was because she was genuinely intrigued by criminology. Her eventual goal was to work for the FBI as a profiler. 
Wanting to catch people like her parents' killer wasn't the part she was upset by. It was how she consumed countless amounts of media about serial killers and other famous criminals and helped perpetuate sales and popularity for those things. 
It was people like her who kept the market for such grotesque things open. Those she truly despised—the people who capitalized on other people's pain by writing books picking apart the sick minds of killers—made money off of people like Eva. It was why they kept doing it. 
She had seen the book on the Bay Area Blade that had largely inspired his inclusion in that docuseries in a stack on the coffee table. It had taken all of her willpower to keep her mouth shut about it.
The series had already started airing and Hazel desperately hoped Eva wouldn't want to watch it while she was stuck here. She wasn't sure she would calmly be able to explain why she couldn't bear to watch that crap. 
Three days passed and there was no sign of the snow letting up back home so she would have to stay here a while longer. That show aired on Sundays and it was Thursday now. More than anything she wanted the airport to be cleared for travel before then.

“I’ll marry anyone who will take me!” Hazel declared loudly. “I don’t need love!”

“Get down!” Will hissed. “You don’t know what kind of people are lurking around in here! Talking like that might get you killed!”
