The afternoon gave way to evening. Mrs. Crabapple left for the night after ranting at Melvin, calling him names until she was red in the face, grabbing the new financial graphs for their biggest client out of his hands, and demanding that he start from scratch tomorrow. Melvin knew that she was merely going to take the graphs and claim them as her own, taking more credit for his work during her meeting with the Board of Directors. To hell with it. He didn't care.

He turned off his computer and stared at the blank screen for a few moments. At times like this, depression threatened to swell upon him and crush him with one devastating blow to the skull. BAM! And that would be the end of it. He almost wished it would come. He listened to the seconds ticking away on his Rolex. How many seconds of his life had been wasted away at times like this, sitting and feeling sorry for himself, for his sorry state of affairs, and doing nothing about it? 

Too much. 

He decided it was time to go book hunting. As a hobby, he liked to search for rare or unique books; they didn't even have to be worth anything as long as they offered some kind of interesting jewel for him to unearth in the pages between their worn and dusty covers. The last book he'd found was a diary of a man who claimed to be a werewolf, and that had proved to be some interesting reading, especially as the man went into graphic detail of his animalistic sexual encounters. He recalled his eyes burning through the words, flipping from one page to the next, a pleasurable throbbing coming from the crotch of his pants as his arousal became evident, and then disgust at the accounts of the man's eating of his victims, sometimes right after he'd coupled with them. Melvin doubted he'd find anything as page-turning as that, but half the fun was searching for the books anyway. 

Someone had told him of a rare book store, tucked away and relatively unknown by even the city's most ardent rare book seekers, and this is where Melvin headed in his BMW, aware that he'd be driving in a part of the city where a BMW would stick out like a sore thumb. He figured he wouldn't be there long enough to get it stolen. Anyway, no time like now to start working up that courage he so desperately needed.

Sodaldo98: "Hi man, I like reading your book, even though the first chapters had walls of text. I was wondering why doesn't the MC, Tanatswa, not get along with his mom that well? I think if the mother hooked him up with some connections he would have job. Just curious."
B: "Well, in my experience, especially in the country I live in, Zimbabwe, there are high expectations for young men to get their act together once they have graduated from university. Tanatswa's failure reflects badly on his parent and also his interest in unconventional fields like manga art, music production and game development, which are not careers that parents would think of for their kids, make him seem unfocused. So he doesn't get along with his mother because he has failed at the normal way of doing things plus his interests in other things are a mystery to her, which makes her associate it with senseless drivel. He was just unlucky."
RemroseXOXO: "Do you like petite girls? The MC's love interest is short and petite, but she is very quirky and foul mouthed."
B: "I think petite women can be very nice to look at, especially the cute ones who are compact. I like them, but if you read the recent chapters with Shami, she has abandoned her petite heritage and now I feel betrayed." 
Narutoneverdiedboruto: "I like the fight between Tanatswa and Tichaona. I noticed that people find out the name of their abilities when they reach level 2. Do the names of their ability give away the kind of power they will have?"
B: "Yes. Not all titles will be obvious, but if you can guess their abilities through their titles than you have an advantage over them."
Cherrypompom: "Shami and Tanatswa get together and have graphic sex in your book? Did it have to be that graphic?"
B: "Well, for the story, I think it was necessary. In some aspects of writing, one may depict sex between two lovers in a romanticised way, with just 'they made love' and you leave the rest to your imagination. In my case, I realised that two highly attractive people, living alone together, one being unexperienced and passive whilst the other one being overt and direct, would lead to eventual sexual activity, but the basis behind it was lust. Without the escape of modern conveniences like contraceptives, it's risky business having unprotected sex. So the graphic nature of the depiction was to show how people can get lost in the act without considering the consequences. Pleasure can ensnare people so the depiction had to be raw, irreverent and carnal, because as soon as they were done love making, they were now dealing with other problems."
Sichijpop: "Is this going to be a long novel? Because I love binge reading long books."
B: "Yes, definitely this book is going to be a bit lengthy, but to be honest, I don't know how long. Maybe 500 chapters max or more. If I feel like there is more to tell and people are still interested in reading it, then I assure you, you will have a lot to binge read."
Nier2bnot2b: "Most of your characters have unique backgrounds like the female lead Shami who was studying architecture in university, the film maker Malcom and the most surprising of all, Clarice the pornstar. Why did you create a character that did porn for a living?"
B: "Well, I think as much as porn stars stimulate people's hormones by having sex on camera for entertainment, they are still people who are acting as these personas and have lives of their own. In today's current social media environment as well as entertainment industry, people see the persona and not the person. Pornography can be dehumanizing for the actors who are probably trying to make a living by portraying these characters who are mindless sex addicts that can be objectified. It's all smoke and mirrors at the end of the day, even if it's socially unacceptable in most cultures. So Clarice is an extreme case because she is neither a YouTuber who pretends to be loud and gregarious nor some teen socialite who behaves a certain way to get views, but everyone goes through some process which is just like doing a job to get money. Some make prank videos, some have sex and have their videos posted online."
Tennytom: "When will we see the blue poison lady's brother? I love the plot twist about the reason why they are in Goshem, keep it up!"
B: "You will get some foreshadowing about his appearance, but not anytime soon. A lot will happen before they will have to face him. By the way, thank you for your appreciation of my work, I will work had to post more."

Callea was trying to get the feels of their visitor while cooking at the kitchen. They were with Deive at the living room. According to Deive, he has been friends with those men since they were kids. They were also Deive's business partners. They didn't say much but she knew that they don't like her for Deive. Even when she changed her church dress to one the nice dresses that Deive bought for her, the tension was still there. They were still uncomfortable with her.

She was not the Callea they were expecting. She was not the normal beautiful woman that her grandfather was selling.

"I think that is done, señorita," Marina said then tapped her arm. She was cooking chicken adobo with coconut milk. (Adobo is a popular Filipino dish where fish, pork, beef, chicken or vegetable would be cooked with soy sauce and vinegar and other spices. Callea's recipe was special because it has coconut milk in it.)

 She was zoning out. She didn't notice that Marina was back in the kitchen after she fixed the table at the dining area for dinner. She didn't want Marina to see the guests a while ago. She was protective of her because of her past experiences with strangers. But Deive insisted that Marina must meet his friends, too.

"They are kind and handsome, too." Marina was grinning from ear-to-ear. "Sir Averill even asked me if I am that hunchback in the story that you created. The one where people thought that she was a jinx but became the hero in the end." It was a particular favorite of Callea because she showed that not all beautiful creatures are kind and some who were considered ugly could have a good heart and even save a lot of people.

"Averill know about that? He reads my novels?" she asked in awe. Averill was a businessman. She never thought he had it in him to read graphic novels. And how did he know about her identity as an artist? Her works were popular, sure. But aside from her publisher, nobody knew the real identity of the artist behind her works. She hated attending book signings and meet and greet because she valued her privacy so much.

"Yes. Even the grumpy one is a fan of yours." Marina stopped for a bit to think. "Ah! That's Sir Lucian. Señorito Deive is so proud of you. He boasted you to his friends. You are not just a great artist but you are good in history as well. Now they are interested to visit the underground cemetery with you as their guide."

"Hmmm… Deive is now the ambassador of tourism."

"I also want to thank you."

"Why?" Callea asked and took the Pyrex container where she would put the adobo.

"Because some people looked at me differently now. I used to be treated as a jinx like I couldn't do anything good in this world. "This is the first time that some strangers treated me like a heroine because of the story you created. That I am not some devil's minion or a person with a communicable disease."

She put the Pyrex down and held her hand. "Marina, you are a good person. In God's eyes, we are all the same. We are all beautiful. It is only humans who put a standard on things. Even those who are beautiful experience human's cruelty." And she felt sad when she remembered who had to pay for her beauty.

"Go to the visitors now. I will put the food on the table," said Marina and shooed her away.

Callea removed her apron and left the kitchen. At the living room, Keiran was playing the piano. Deive and his friends were laughing with Sydney's antics about her graphic novel that he read. It was a piece of happy jazz music and was fit for jovial mood.

They stopped talking when Lucian saw her. "Your bride is here," he said to Deive.

Sydney stopped talking and moving entirely and his jaw was slack. He looked like he was afraid to move. He was still afraid of her. He apologized for screaming a while ago when she took off her veil. She couldn't laugh much afterward because he looked like he was about to have a heart attack. Deive had to give him his water canister and made her drink water to calm him down. She promised not to scare him anymore. Well, not that much.

She forced a smile. "Dinner will be ready in a bit."

"I could smell the ginataang adobo. It makes me hungrier," said Lucian and stood up.

While Averill walked towards her. She noticed that he was holding a copy of her graphic novel and a pentel pen. "Could you please sign an autograph for me?"

She stepped back and shook her head. "I don't sign autographs. I mean, not in person." She didn't even want to face her fans. It was weird that someone asked her to personally sign her book.

Lucian crossed his arms over his chest. Drat! The man looked intimidating when his attention was focused on her. "As Deive's future, you can't refuse us. In return, we will guard Deive so he won't stray to other women."

"Don't be like that, man," Deive complained. "I am a good boy. I am faithful." Then Deive smiled at her. "Please sign it for my friends."

He couldn't say no to Deive at that point. His friends would find it more it weirder if she would refuse them furthermore. She took the pentel pen from Averill. She was a bit shaking as she signed her book that had just been released at the market last month. She smiled when she got a hang of it. It also felt great to sign her own book. "Just make sure that my identity will be anonymous to others. I just gave in because you would make sure that Deive won't go back to his womanizing ways."

Deive scratched his own head. "I am a good boy," he insisted.

"Can I make a request?" asked Sydney and raise his hand. "Deive said you like cosplaying the characters you created. Can you cosplay the red vampire Zapira for me? I got a crush on her."

"What?!" exclaimed Deive and hooked his arm on Sidney's neck and tried to choke him.

The rest of them laughed. It was crazy. They were so adorable. And she realized that she hadn't laughed for a long time in the company of strangers. Before it comes easily. That was the old her. She never thought she would experience it again. It was liberating. Deive made him laugh again. With that laugh, Deive also opened the door to her heart. And she would let him inside her heart even if he won't ask for it.

An arranged marriage to a perfect bride.

To keep him in line, playboy Deive Hontiveros needs to marry Callea Lopez so he could start his own business. He thought he got lucky when he sees how beautiful and caring Callea is.

She lives in a haunted mansion though and he got plagued by a mysterious ghost of a woman and her cat from hell.

This book is about a world created by someone from a unique type of celestial race thats on top of the food chain in the omniverse. These beings are those who are both blessed and cursed at the same time by their creator god. You will find out more small bits about the being who created the game in the later chapters of this story as a sneak peek of the other book I'm currently creating. That book is called 'Infinitum, One of the Chosen Five Reincarnated Souls' which I'm not publishing any time soon.

Now for the player's assistant and guide. They are real beings living in a separate world while also being randomly chosen as the player's assistant based on compatibiliy. They and the world they live are also created by the creator of the game but their bodies in the game is actually a form of solid-astral projection so it means that they aren't completely a part of the game.

The story will be a little graphic during  a few fight scenes in the real world of the story so please if you can't stomach gore in a apocalypse theme novel don't test your mind's imagination and your stomach's tolerance. Remember health is wealth.

The world had become an apocalyptic playground for a demonic race that had cause a outbreak of zombies and mutated beasts upon humanity and the only way to fight them was through refining oneself and gaining strength from a virtual reality video game that suddenly appeared out of nowhere called Celestial's Space Core: Evolution's Might!

A celestial was gazing upon the sea of stars that twinkle in the sky with a heavy yet sorrow filled heart. Her very being was being pulled to another multiverse to be reborn to become even stronger and transcend into higher being than ever before, but her heart was reluctant to do so because of her love for her home and almost all the races that live there. She who was a human before her rebirth as a celestial because of her unique soul will nolonger be able to come back and humanity who will be facing disaster after she leaves will not be able to protect themselves. For her last ditch effort to saving humanity after she leaves, she created a game that will change humanity and give them the strength to survive.

"What the hell do you need a children's book for?" Fluorescent yelled, causing the other person at the end to move their phone away from their ears.
"I told you already: I have to give my 5-year-olds a story to read in front of the class tomorrow because of 'Fairy Tale Friday'!" Fredda, her sister, said back, rubbing her ear that was being yelled into.
"You don't have any at home?" Fluorescent screamed again, causing a passerby to scurry off in case she got mad and started yelling at them for staring at her. Fluorescent was well known for hurting feelings for not showing manners.
"We do. It was just that we needed a new one. They can't read one that they have already read. Messed up, I know, but it is understandable."
"What kind of book do you want me to get?" Fluorescent said, rubbing her temple so reduce her temper. She was also well known for getting into fights because of her temper. So far, she had been suspended once from school for fighting someone that pushed her, causing her to drop her food and handcuffed twice for beating the sh*t out of someone that crossed her.
"A book like 'The Paper Bag Princess' or 'The Little Prince' or something," Fredda said, walking to her son's room to make sure he was done with his homework.
"Those books are awfully wordy for five-year-olds to read-"
"I have told you already: my kids are in a private school! Sometimes their homework comes out of an encyclopedia. I wonder if grammar school was ever this difficult-"
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Give me a minute and I will swing by to give you the books because I am not going back again. You owe me-"
"Yeah, yeah. I'll CashApp you; just get the books and hurry before my children have to go to sleep because I have them read it to me before bed!" Fredda interrupted.
"Fine, Fred. Just be sure to give me my money soon because if you don't... you know what's coming for you. I have been in that kind of game for a long time," Fluorescent warned, dropping her voice down a few notches.
"I know. Just hurry."
After that entire conversation was over, Fluorescent got up from the park bench she was sitting on and walked to a bookstore that had a section for children.
Picking up the book " Goldilocks and the Three Bears" and flipping to the end to see how many pages it had, she realized that this book was starting to slightly fade away and then it faded back. She had to blink hard to see if she was seeing things. Instead of ending with that she gets away safely and stays away from them, it becomes blank.
In its place, it began to describe the horrors of eating her flesh and drizzling her blood over their porridge. And included graphic pictures.
In disgust, Fluorescent dropped the book, which, despite being dropped spine up, ended up flipped over, open to the beginning of the book.
That wasn't the best part. The best part was that the image began to swirl and she began to see a real-life image of a little girl, mischievously skipping to a cottage in the middle of a forest cover in thick canopies and the only sound able to be heard was the little girl's off-tune version of Mozart.
Next thing Fluorescent knew, was that she was being sucked into the book, and darkness developed over her eyes.

"I am normal, much like you. I am able to go into children's books and fight the villains. However, they are not normal villains. Angry. Hungry, Bloodthirsty villains. Sometimes the main character is the actual villain. But children don't know that now do they?"

23-year-old Fluorescent Miller was at a children's book store when she learned that she could enter the books. She also learned that the book that they put on the shelves is just a caramel-coated version. The real versions are much more gruesome. Goldilocks? They kill her and put her in the new porridge that they make. Cinderella? The sister that marries the prince has the other sisters and mother served at a later banquet as entrees. The Three Little Pigs? The wolf kills two of the brothers and makes the third one eat them; he then proceeds to rape, kill, and eat the pig. Little Red Riding Hood?  The wolf eats the meat off of her bones and knocks out the hunter to do 'things' to him with her bones. Rapunzel? She was the real witch and lured princes there to grab and her hair and climb to her where she would eat them and make soup for her mother out of their bones. The list goes on and on. Her job is to make sure that the stories themselves remain in control so that they remain safe enough to stay on the shelves. 
But it gets worse. Not only can she go in children's books, but she can also go into adult horror books. She makes sure that the main character doesn't die so the book isn't meaningless. Including books like Slenderman and Annabelle. mainly Stephen King books.
Will she make it?

Rune's walk back to her house was rather long as she was figuring out all the possibilities to why Caspian was there, and why out of all the years she went there and never saw him there, She had to admit that he was a good looking young man. However she needed to remove those thoughts from her mind and figure out why he was there and what does he know that she does not know. 

Rune opened the door to her house and she was completely lost in her thoughts trying to piece together the puzzle. She went up the stairs and layed on her bed, the thoughts about Caspian were taking over and it annoyed her more than enything. She grunted in annoyance and made her way to shower. When she was finished with her shower she put on some comfy pajamas which were some black sweatpants and an oversized shirt. She was staring at herself in the mirror while brushing her hair.  She then headed to her bed. Rune pulled her cover and put her extra pillows on the floor next to her queen size bed. When she crawled into bed she reached for her book that she leaves on her nightsand, it was never a think book and some may not even call it a book considering the fact that it was just pictures. Graphic novels were Rune's thing, she would finish quick and by the next day she had another one on her nightstand waiting to be opened. There was a light knock on her door, she put the book down and walked to the door. When she opened the door she saw her father. Rune was closer with her father than her mother, Rune was not what her mother wanted her to be. Rune like neutral colors and her mother wanted her dressed in bright colors. Rune was never going to be a girly girl and that is what her mother wanted. When she was younger, she would fore her to dress a certain way even though Rune told her that she did not like it. Her father would see that it bothered her and tried to change the subject everytime her mother tried to force something on her. 

"How was school?" Her dad asked. Rune went to sit on her bed and allowed her dad to follow her into her room. " Great, all my exams are finally over and I can rest." Rune said with a cheerful smile. "I'm glad that you can finally rest and not stay up all night studying." It wasn't unusual to have late night conversations with her dad, he was her bestfriend and she always looked forward to the conversations.

The Middle of Us is about two people who meet accidentally in their safe havens. They are both longing to know what happiness feels like, they will both soon realize that they are able to find it within each other. One day the gods went on a mission in order to save the Earth from destruction. They saved Earth, but it cost them their lives. None of the gods or goddesses had heirs, because of the old rule that they couldn't fall in love with anyone. So, they picked new people to take over and abolished the old rule.

 This time they kept it simpler, there would be there would be only seven types of gods and two representing each, except for one type, balance. Balance would be only one person and they would keep the gods from fighting and try to keep peace.

 When selected you are ripped from where you are until notified that you could leave. The new gods and goddesses would still live a human type life, but with godly powers.

 One of the new gods is a girl named Annalysa. What God will she be?
