Hello all! The first 5 chapters posted are the example of the professionally edited and proofread version of the story. Because I've gone to Amazon and started selling from there, I'm not allowed to post any more than 10% of the story anywhere else.

I stopped posting on webnovel because...

1) The contract conditions are terrible (Seriously, I'd be a homeless person with a laptop at a library for internet and still have to work under contract with those conditions.)

2) After I rejected the contract, they basically gave me the cold shoulder.

3) Its true that it's a business and they should favour those who still want the contract or are contracted, but when webnovel gives bullshit excuses why you're not getting featured for months etc, it crossed my bottom line. (Yes I know it was bullshit, you might think you sold me with it but it's the reason I left the discord chat willingly after telling the newest authors about the conditions.)

4) The writing platform inkstone is a joke, it doesn't even have italic or bold which word 2000 did.

5) there's other things but I won't bore you.

Mason was shocked at how much popularity his music has been giving him. 

Although it wasn't face to face popularity, but it was even more than that because she didn't even know how he looked like, she just knew how his singing voice sounded and she was already familiar with his voice enough to almost recognize him with just a single sentence.

He went back onto SoundCloud to see how many plays the song has garnered. He was about to throw up all the digested food he ate from the morning just from looking at the plays.

In less than a day, the song, White Iverson by Mason Cohen had more than 32 million plays and by looking at the waveform that showed the rate of plays he got each minutes, seconds, and hours, it seemed like the rate the play was going up was only increasing and was slowing down anytime soon.

Mason knew that the reason why it was gaining plays so fast was probably because it was such a catchy song that people didn't want to stop listening to it. He also knew that the plays wouldn't slow down in the nighttime but it might even go up faster because a lot of the people would put the song on repeat as they went to sleep.

Mason knew that the song was going to be a hit but he didn't think that it would happen that fast. he looked at the time and the song has only been up for 2 hours and a few minutes.

He closed his phone and was worried that if he looked at it any longer, he couldn't stop the temptation to get up onto the table and yell, "I'm a celebrity now!"

Mason was in an even better mood than before. If he was on heaven before than now he was all the way in another universe. That's how far he went.

He was banging his head in rhythm to the song playing on his phone and it fit his mood because it was talking about making money and how life was going great.

The waitress came back a few minutes later with his food and laid them down onto his table. Mason thanked her and watched as she walked away. "Damn." He was checking out something that happened to past by his eye and he didn't turn back until she was out of sight.

He looked around the restaurant and was glad that no one saw what he was just doing moments ago.

As he was eating, he was happy because the food was amazing and all that but there was something he felt was missing or forgotten. Mason didn't know what it was but just when he finished his meal, he remembered that he had a system.

He took out his system and turned it on. He went onto the AppStore and clicked on the unlock button. There was a new thing added to the screen.

There was a bar on top that showed how many fan he had. It said 5,253,836 fans meaning that there was some people who went crazy with repeating the song.

Mason didn't hesitate and unlocked everything at once.

A notification would pop up every time he unlocked something. It would tell him that Makeover was unlocked, Memory was unlocked and such. It also gave him information about the app he just unlocked and what they actually did.

Memory would allow him to get memories from his alternate self, from other people, and from the internet connected to the old earth.

Makeover was an automatic hairdresser, clothes choosing, and a makeup applier.

Money was a store where he could buys items using actual money.

Memory was hinting something and Mason caught onto it immediately. If the Memory app connected him to the old earth through the internet, that meant that the old earth still existed and time was flowing just like normal.

This meant a lot to him but it mainly meant that he wouldn't necessarily run out of songs or movies to recreate in this new earth he was in.

He closed the last notification and saw the new 3 apps replacing the old 3. "Lottery, Luck, and Love huh? Is there going to be a letter pattern scheme every time?"

Although he didn't know what Luck was going to be about unlike the other 2 which he could guess what they could be about, he knew that the Luck app was going to require good luck.

He closed the unlock page and it took him back to the initial AppStore screen but unlike before there was 3 apps on it. He clicked on all of them and it turned out that he still had to download. The information he read about the apps from the notification was in the information section but there was an extra piece of information that was extremely important.

Memory would take 14 hours to download, Makeover would take 22, and Money would take a whole 24 hours to download. They could only be downloaded 1 at a time.

Now he was in conflicted argument in his head with himself. Every time a part of him said to download Memory or another 1 of the apps, another part would tell him not to.

It took his whole meal just to come to a conclusion an he was eating extremely slow. Makeover was the most important because after all, he could choose his clothes and stuff, he also wasn't known by the media so nobody would really care too much about what he was wearing or how he styled his hair.

Memory was important but he didn't need it just yet. He could intelligently  conclude that he could choose what memories he wanted or when he wanted them to come back based off of the information so Mason decided that he would choose Memory for his 2nd app.

Money was the only app that he wanted to download. If he was right then there was would items that would help him out with problems that could happen at anytime so if he could buy items to prevent or solve them then that would be for the best.

He clicked on download before closing his phone. He wasn't worried that the app wouldn't download because it was a system after all and system were supposed to be the best things that would help out the main character so of course a little problem such as if it would stop downloading or something like wouldn't be a problem.

But he had to check first. His assumption was right and the percentage went up by a little bit.

Mason closed his phone once again and left it on the table as he waited for the waitress to bring his check. She came back to his table again with it and he immediately paid it. There was an option to give a tip and Mason decided to give her 50 dollars because of her services and the information he sort of got from her.

There was also another reason why he gave her the tip but he didn't care to elaborate on it. In total he spend 120 dollars on the meal. This was a lot but now that he was a celebrity, even if unknown, he had to get sort of used to it.

He got up and left the restaurant but before he did that, he switched back to his earphones again. He already memorized the way back home all he no longer had to check his phone every minutes or so.

After 20 minutes of walking, he was home already and it was already 12:30 AM and his family still wasn't home. It seemed like all of their jobs ended really early in the morning.

Mason sat down on the basement stairs with his phone out. He left an email address on his SoundCloud account so that people could contact him.

He went onto his gmail account and looked at all of the email address he received.

Mason looked around for a bit and marked some of the important email addresses, important subjects, and the one that stood out to him.

He didn't delete the rest but he just didn't have all of the time in the world. He began checking the marked emails one by one.

Some of them was music labels wanting to discuss a contract about him signing onto their label. Mason wanted to make his own record label company so he didn't respond to anyone of them. There was a few with major record labels but he still didn't care to even respond to them.

There was a few mails where celebrities were contacting him about meeting up or making a song together or coming with them to an interview. These were the type of mails he actually responded to.

Some of them he responded with a kind rejection while a rare few got a let's discuss the time and place.

"What's this? Holy shit! I thought that this was just a regular ass mail from a fan but never mind that. This is one big ass coincidence. Out of all of the fan mails I got, I choose the one written by her."

Mason Cohen, a regular boy with a regular name. He was a regular millennial that followed regular news about the media. Only thing different was that he was also a fan of light novels.

That was him 4 years ago. Mason was now the highest paid actor in Hollywood and the owner of the biggest company in the world. He also took the spot of number 1 song in the world.

The change in his life was sudden and was so fast that Hollywood couldn't keep up.

Claiming the rewards for both the shower quest and the homework quest, he got quite the haul. He had no uses for these things yet as the shop was still closed, but he was still satisfied with his gainings.

Connor got ready for school, as he took a shower, dressed up, and packed his things. He was half expecting for the app to give another shower quest, but it didn't have anything new except for the archery club quest. He still wasn't thrilled about it.

Heading for the kitchen that was bustling with chaotic activity, he grabbed a plate, whilst he dodged his siblings in order to get the food his mom had cooked. He wasn't particularly in a hurry, however he was worried that the others might have already ate everything.

Taking his time amidst the chaos, his dad came down from upstairs with a suit and tie. Since his mom already left early for work, it was his dad's job to take them to school. However, looking at Connor fiddling with his phone as he leisurely stuffed a bite of eggs into his mouth, his dad couldn't help but compare it to the scene of his other kids, who were practically halfway into the garage by this time.

His dad held a pair of socks on one hand, and on the other, a pair of shiny work shoes. The chair besides Connor squeaked as his dad sat down to put on the shoes.

"Are you taking the school bus?" Without even looking at him, his dad's deep voice sounded out.

"Yeah." Connor responded before stuffing another bite into his mouth.

"About what your mother said last night... don't force yourself to join if you don't want to... just... don't stress yourself out." His dad said with a slight voice of hesitation.

Connor stopped eating and looked at his dad, who was still busying himself with his shoes. He sometimes forgets that this lumbering giant of a man who he calls 'dad', was even more of a worry wart than his mom. 

"Alright dad, thanks." Connor said softly, however he only got a terse acknowledgment as his dad stood up and headed to the garage. 

After a few minutes, the car had left, leaving only silence within the house. Connor had already finished his breakfast, as he got ready to go to the bus stop.

It wasn't a far journey, and in just four minutes or so, he was already standing by a curb with a few other people. Connor didn't know any of them, nor does he want to know, he just kept his head down and busied himself with his phone.

He wanted to check up on Custom Life, and see if anything had changed. However, when he tried to click of the app icon, instead of the normal menu, it showed a black screen with a red download bar.

To his surprise a small discussion formed from the several students that was waiting for the bus. Except for him, almost everyone there was talking about Custom Life. This game was that popular?

Connor fell into deep thought just as the bus had arrived, he was the last on, as he found an empty seat. The discussion continued on the bus as they talked about their experiences with the app. It was relatively the same as what had happened to him, so it assured him that he wasn't being crazy or overly paranoid. With so many people using it, surely it was safe!

That's what he tried to believe in, however, there was this growing sense of fear that started to swell up out of nowhere. He didn't know what it was, or where it came from, however he was well familiar of this feeling. It was dread. And the only ever time he felt so much of it was with that one case in the past. But that was just like a bucket, compared to what feels like an ocean of dread that he was feeling right now.

His breath had gone course, and he felt his shirt stick to his back. He needed to calm down, else he'll break down into a panic attack, and that's the last thing he wants right now. With slightly trembling hands, he took out some ear buds, plugged them into his phone, and started listening to some soothing music. Slowly he calmed his breathing as took tiny, but constant sips of water.

Connor had become much better at controlling his panic attacks, however, it was only slightly. It always feels like he's balancing on a rope above Niagara Falls, one misstep and he'll have a very terrible day.

Before he knew it the doors of the bus had already opened, and kids started to stream out. He was the last one out as he thanked the bus driver. Once he got off, he took a deep breath, and shook his arms loose.

Suddenly, a hand pressed on his shoulders, and he nearly screamed of fright, before seeing that it was just his friend, Jacob, the one who forced him to download the Custom Life app.

"Haha, did I scare you? My bad." Jacob laughed as his chubby cheek slightly jiggled. 

He was half a head taller than Connor, and although he was fat, compared to a few weeks ago, he was much leaner. 

They walked as they talked, both were headed to the same direction since they had majority of their classes together, which was one of the main reason why they became friends.

"So? Did you try the app out?" Jacob stared with expecting eyes.

"Yeah, I did, it's addicting, but kind of sketchy." Connor smiled wryly as he stored his earbuds.

"Uh, I guess so? But I don't think we have to worry about it, I mean, big social media giants collect our info and even sells them, but I don't see anybody complaining." Jacob said with great confidence. After all, it was just an app, how much danger could it pose?

They proceeded to talk about the update, and their personal experiences with the app. Jacob had already been playing for weeks, and managed to amass up to 32 DP and several tickets, two types of which, Connor doesn't have yet; the Attribute Ticket Fragment, and Item Ticket Fragment.

Jacob then pulled up his phone to check on the download, it was now at 13%. Looking at the screen once more, Connor sensed the feeling of fear that loomed over him. It was still there. The update will finish in less than two hours, he couldn't help but shiver slightly at the thought.

What he wants the most right now is to be proven completely wrong about his feeling. 

But deep down... he knew that he was right.

“Custom Life” It’s something that Connor has been hearing more frequently in the passing days. Apparently, it was an augmented reality app that went trending due to its ingenious and fun way of managing the user’s personal life; from health, to task management, and the small things in between. Skeptical of its rave reviews, Connor found himself downloading the app on the urging of his friend. Little did he know, a path of blood awaits him once he opens the app.

Next day.

Last night, Apollo bought a few things from Atlas, a router and a sim.
The reason Apollo wanted to buy this is to give back to his customers who buy his food at a ludicrous price. 

The router came from the year 2200 where the internet has evolved to the point that a mere terabyte of storage can't even be counted as memory. The sim he bought has an unlimited bandwidth, capable to have speeds up to one petabyte. (1024 Terabyte.). The speed is overkill but it only cost him a few points, so he didn't really care.

The router's overall design is a bit... weird. It's a small box that is the same size as a regular person's palm, in each corner, there are needle-sized antennas poking out. Meanwhile, the sim's outer appearance is also a bit weird, it looks like a sewing needle.

The signal isn't a problem as the router's range is the size of a country and the person connected could still access the internet even if said person is a dozen kilometres away.

Apollo didn't care about the technical details and set up the router, he placed the sim behind the router and turned it on. The reason why he didn't plug it into an outlet is because it runs on crystals, on a normal battery, a crystal contains approximately 30,000 mAh, it could last up to months even if it stayed on during the duration.

He placed it on the counter and change the username and password of the wifi, and opened the restaurant.

Kate and the gang's silhouette could be seen in the distance, Justin and his friends are chatting not far from them.

They arrived at the restaurant and went to their usual positions, Justin and his friends set up their laptops in their respective tables, Kate and her friends sat on the counter, meanwhile Levi is absent.

"Az, get your pocket wifi out, let's try playing league today, I'm tired of destroying noobs in CSGO." Justin said.

Azrael stared at him and shook his head, "You guys used up all the data."

"How about you Vince? Did you bring yours?" 

"It's charging at home. Why don't you bring out yours? Stop being a cheapskate!" 

Justin laid his back on the chair, "Ughh, what's the point of bringing our laptops then?!"

Kate heard their chat and intervened,  "You guys could just connect to the boss' wifi."

Justin turned stiff, 'Oh my god! She talked to me!'

He stood up from his seat and asked Apollo for the wifi password, Apollo gave it to him and returned to cooking the fried rice while cooking the fried chicken at the same time.

Justin got back to his seat and connected to the wifi, same with Vincent and Azrael. When using public wifi, the trio always uses a VPN to avoid getting their information stolen. They turned on their Vpn's and change the location to their country so that they could play with people in the country.

Whenever they play using public wifi, they would first check the latency to avoid playing with bad internet, Justin went to a speed test site and checked the speed, the latency is 0 but something weird happened to the site as it only showed "Error" on both the Download speed and the Upload speed.

"Boss, is your wifi broken or something?" Justin asked from his seat.

Apollo didn't reply, so Justin tried it on different speed test sites but got the same thing. He went to his steam library and tried to download games to check the speed, as he had a ton of games in his library, he tried to find the largest game, he found Final Fantasy XV with a file size of over 100Gb.

He right-clicked the game and clicked download, just as he was about to pick up the cup of coffee in his table, the download already finished and his pc is currently writing all the data required so the game will be playable.

Justin stared at his laptop screen, dumbfounded.

The wifi isn't for free though, Apollo only gave them the password because they were his regulars, he won't do this again. Only VIP customers and the Miller family could access the wifi from now on.

Justin and his friends played in their tables happily, meanwhile, Kate is asking Apollo some personal questions, or rather, interrogating him, but Apollo still answered them. He didn't know why but chatting with Kate relieves his soul for some reason, it's like Kate is 'The One.' people keep talking about.

The three packed their bags and left the restaurant, meanwhile, Justin and his friends stayed for the rest of the day and kept playing, they just plugged their laptops in a nearby outlet when it's low on battery.

Levi just sat on the corner, seemingly waiting for something to happen and on guard.

Apollo is an astronaut who got sent to a mission to go to mars so that humanity could once again make a breakthrough, but an accident happened, and their spaceship got sucked into a black hole. Apollo's crew members died because of a meteor that also got sucked into a black hole, and only he is alive. 

After dozens of millennia, Apollo woke up inside a broken spaceship he clearly and vividly remembers. In those thousands of years, his body was cultivated to the point of a god, and he gets a ticket back to earth.

Schedule: None, I sometimes get a bottleneck in writing, or should I say Writer's block and I couldn't really put up chapters every day like a robot.

They had to perpetually deal with a network of people as they were. They had received many challenges and had transactions with many people, but had never met anyone who sent demands in a foreign language. Even in an email six months ago from the Japanese Nakagawa Technology Group, it was still written in French.
