"10th graders! They've long been unable to stand the sight of us 7th graders, and are now bullying the girl from Class-B to taunt us ..." After hearing what Luo Lang had to report, Ling Lan could tell that this was definitely a show of strength by the 10th graders to try and put them in their place.

"Move out!" The students behind her shouted, and the 30 odd students collectively followed Ling Lan on their jet-rollers.
At this moment, inside the academy upper division's canteen, a gang of red-clad youths of 15 to 16 years old — whether standing or sitting, or leaning and supporting — were casually but surely cordoning off an area with their bodies. On one side inside this circle of people, someone was seated unabashedly on a chair. Opposite him stood a slightly younger red-clad youth, while several boys and girls of the same age stood behind him, dressed in either red or white.
"What, Qi Long, you want to take responsibility for this matter?" said one of the 10th grade Class-A students standing at the side, sneering.
Qi Long grinned good-naturedly and said, "Senior, no matter how the incident started, you've already managed to hit and scold — isn't it time to stop?" Qi Long was not really afraid, but if the situation continued to degenerate and they actually began fighting, the few Class-B female students here would certainly be harmed. He had initially stepped in just so he could prevent them from getting hurt.
"Qi Long, how dare you! Actually speaking to a senior in that tone?!" That person was infuriated by Qi Long's barbed words, immediately leaping out to berate him loudly.
"Senior, you think too much!" A slight trace of a mocking smile appeared on Qi Long's lips. By now, of course he could tell that the other side had intended to make a big deal out of this matter from the very start. They were planning to give these 7th graders who had just entered the upper division[2] a show of force to put them in their place!

"Revolt? In my opinion, fighting you all doesn't deserve the use of this term!" Ling Lan's words caused the 10th grade students to break into an uproar. Hells, this gang of 7th graders just kept coming out with more and more insolent punks! Looks like it wouldn't do not to teach them a good lesson!
"Since you all want to fight so much, then as you wish, we 7th graders challenge you 10th graders to a grand armed melee!"
"Grand armed melee?" The 10th grade students were somewhat confused. And then, as if suddenly recalling something, the leader yelled out, "You're insane!"
He looked at the number of students beside Ling Lan and instantly let out a sigh of relief. "No, you all can't possibly succeed in requesting a grand armed melee. With just this number of people, it's impossible ..."
To be approved, a grand armed melee required 95% approval out of the total 100 students[3] of the Special Class-A and Special Class-B in the grade.
"No, you heard right, we're officially challenging you 10th graders to a grand armed melee!" Another voice rang out from behind Ling Lan. It turned out that Wu Jiong had also rushed over with a group of students at his back, most of them Class-B students in white uniforms.
Wu Jiong was late because he had been busy contacting the Class-B people. As a grand armed melee required 95% approval from the combined students of Special Class-A and Special Class-B to pass, Wu Jiong had discussed the issue with the Class-B teams in advance and had finally reached a consensus.
"You're all insane, insane!" The 10th grade students all had fear on their faces. They had only wanted to scare the 7th graders and put them in their place — they definitely did not want to unleash that horrifying grand armed melee ... that was just asking for someone to die!
[1] The original phrase here is once again referring to the 'ocean-calming cudgel/staff', referring to Sun Wukong's weapon which had the ability to stop raging ocean waves in its tracks.
[2] The author previously gave the breakdown of divisions in Chapter 118. According to that breakdown, the 7th grade should be in the intermediate division still, but somehow has now been shifted to the upper division here.
I guess just roll with it? Just consider the upper division as 7th to 10th grade and everything's fine. :3

"Here's a map with the buildings, subjects, and teachers. Do take care to pick your teachers wisely because although you have a set schedule, you decide which teachers you get assigned to and for which classes. 

Nice job by the way on exiting into my office, whether it was a coincidence or not makes no difference to me. Sometimes luck is an ability. You better get a move on as the other students will be starting to figure this out". 

"Thanks Headmaster", says Marconi, he makes an internal note to thank his dad, otherwise he might be stuck in a classroom with an old boring geezer teaching him math. 

Marconi rushes towards the math building across campus on the map, he's starting to see the groups of students exiting the auditorium and he tries to keep a low profile as he heads to the classrooms. 

The other students are running blindly wondering what their schedule is about. They know they need to head to class but the lack of time or teachers confuses them. However, at the bottom of the schedule it says first come, first serve. All the students are off to the races. 

Marconi sees stars next to certain teachers on his map and decides to enter an advanced math classroom with a star on it. Already there are a few students, most of them are 7th and 8th graders who already know the drill, but there are some sixth graders who got some maps as well. 2 minutes later a few more 6th graders enter the room and the teacher comes in and locks the door. He sees a lot of students running by as they can't seem to find a classroom that is unlocked. 

The P.A system turn on and says, "all students who didn't find a classroom report to the auditorium, remedial and general classes will be commenced in 2 minutes". 

A large teacher with sunken eyes sits at a desk. Although his eyes are wide and cold, there lies a spark of intelligence behind those eyes. He has a short bland crew cut and side burns with a decently large chin. He then proceeds to gets out of his seat and walks up to the front of the classroom 

"Welcome all, most of you 7th and 8th graders are stuck with me because of unfortunate circumstances of last year. To you lucky 6th graders, congratulations you found a class to teach you. I'll quickly go over orientation and some information about this school. 

My name is Mr. Munch, I am a previous university teacher whose been brought here by the headmaster. This is a wonderful school is where you can take hold of many opportunities, however resources are scarce. If you look at the schedule, notice the lack of time and teachers. 

In this school you get to pick which teachers and for how long you want to learn. But be careful at certain times if you've been out of a classroom for too long or the classes are filled up you'll have to go to the auditorium where they teach general classes. Learning is ok over there but it's still slow. It's best to get a classroom and the quality of professors differ. 

I'm well liked by all grades, however don't make me cross otherwise you'll be stuck in here just like some of the 7th and 8th graders. Our school graduation requirements for both your current grade and school are based on a final exam followed by the total amount of time spent in a classroom and basic courses taken. 

You can take more classes, but don't go under otherwise you'll be held back. The requirements change every year based on the headmaster, and you'll get an email about this later. 

Anyway that's it for the basic info about the school. You sixth graders are lucky to get this information, so hold onto it, because information is power". 

Then Mr. Munch proceeded to go over the class syllabus, how we'll be using the textbook he assigned, expectations, grading, and supplies. 

"I'll be letting you out early so you can find your next class, but remember you are dictating your own classes, teachers and time. You may decide to switch teachers, classes, shorten or lengthen time, but the decision is all in your hands except for the order. If you wish to change the order, you'll have to give a reasonable excuse to the school counselor, get it signed by the headmaster, and fulfill their tasks. 

My advice is just don't, unless your stuck in a group of monsters and it's your last and final option. Anyway class dismissed, 7th and 8th graders stay here." 

Marconi hears a simultaneous groan and heads off to his next class.

Honestly, don't expect me to constantly update this to often as it is a side project of mine. Suggestions are appreciated.

This is a fan-fiction of the middle school life of a boy named Marconi. Nothing special, no cultivation, just a regular school story with some cool fictional elements. How many references can you catch? I have approximately 30 within the first 12 chapters.

As I walked into the cafeteria with my lunchbox in my hand, and walking next to and behind me were my friends (Hela (hey-la), Alex, and Angela) we go into the line for Sparky's Cafe and my friend Angela gets a tariaki bowl and a blue Gatorade and as we wait for Angela to get her money, I look to my right and I see two boys looking at us and in my mind I was thinking "What do you want? Can you quit looking at us?" but, I just follow Angela to get tariaki sauce on her bowl so we wait for her to do put it on and I slide the boys off my mind and I start thinking "Maybe they were looking at the wall, or looking at the people behind us? Yeah, I mean why would they look at us 7th graders I mean they are 8th graders why would they look at us" so as we walk to our table I sit down next to Angela and in front of sat Hela and across from Angela was Alex and as soon as we sat down those 8th graders would consistently and constantly turn around and look at us/ or me, look over their shoulder, or they would ask their friends to look at us to see what we were talking about.
     
      After while, Hela and Alex got up and came back with their food and I told them what were happening and as they were told Alex and Hela both turned around and looked at them and I said, "Don't turn around!" and Hela turned around and said, "Why, they didn't see us?' and then I said, " because I told you to turn around!" and in the background I could here giggling and I look to my left and see Alex laughing to herself and then I started laughing, too. Hela just looked at us with a confused look on her face and wondering what we werelaughing about so then she asked, "What are you guy's laughing about?" and Alex and I both said, "Nothing" at the same time and Hela was so confused. Until, I started eating and I'm a joker so I literally made jokes about some random crap and they all laughed except Angela because she's more of a introvert and Hela, Alex, and I are mire extrovert abd you must be wondering how're you friends we literally don't know its magic. Until it was the end of lunch and I had just stuffed the rest of my granola bar in my mouth and Alex started laughing at me and I started talking with my mouth full of the granola still and Alex started laughing because I'm so funnyyyy! So, without getting caught for having food outside of the cafeteria I swallow the granola down my throat and Hela stayed back and talked to some other friends and I just stood against one concrete poles holding up the roof and Hela walked past Angela, Alex, and I and Hela said, " Come on, guys!" so then Hela proceeded towards us and I believe that those 8th grader most likely saw us talking and Hela came up to us and said, "Come on!" and then I said, "No" Hela said "Why?" and then "Because," I said "I'm waiting for your soul to come back to me and be friend again and not leave me!" And I started to leave as I heard laughing behind me and I turned around and I saw Alex fricken dying of laughter and I started laughing so much I felt lone I was going to fall on the ground, but the bell rang for 5th period and we started heading to the 7th grade hallway to get our stuff from our lockers.
