“I’ve always been searching for you” is a movie where a boy thought he was only dreaming when that girl needed to leave the neighborhood and go to another city. [NOTE: For those who is INSPIRED by this, it’s ok. But for those who will just copy the whole thing, gosh, that’s not okay. People’s effort would be gone *not trying to be rude*]

Never mind.
If Sun Tiantian continued this conversation with Shen Nianshen, she would feel even more annoyed.
The snack counter was indeed very crowded, but the buying and selling activities were carried out very quickly, it did not take long to reach Sun Tiantian turn.
When Sun Tiantian saw foods, her anger that caused by Shen Nianshen disappeared instantly. Her mood boosted, and she pointed to the popcorn box at the display, "I want these, two and also two cans of cola."

After buying snacks, it was already 3:13, and the movie had already started.
"Let's go. The movie has started."  Sun Tiantian rushed into the studio, carelessly pulling Shen Nianshen's hand.
The movie had just begun, the studio was dark and filled with many people.
Fortunately, Sun Tiantian's position was in the back row; they could find it easily.
The two of them sat quietly, Shen Nianshen handed the two barrels of popcorn to Sun Tiantian.
Sun Tiantian whispered, "You don't want any?"
Shen Nianshen said yes.
Sun Tiantian smiled and whispered again, "This is very delicious, you know."
That girl said while starting to eat it, after eating some popcorn, she sent the one bite of popcorn to Shen Nianshen's lips, "Want to try?"
The soft white fingers suddenly beside his lips, Shen Nianshen took a deep breath and leaned his head against the back of the chair, "Don't be noisy."
Sun Tiantian's voice was very soft, "Try a bit."
Shen Nianshen pushed his face away, not eating it.
Sun Tiantian snickered, "Arrogant."
Shen Nianshen, "..."
She opened a can of cola and handed it to Shen Nianshen, "Then, drink this."
Shen Nianshen glanced at her and answered without expression, "No."
Sun Tiantian, "..."
Shen Nianshen didn't want to eat anything; Sun Tiantian decided to finish it all alone. However, the two barrels of popcorn was indeed too much, throughout the film, she was only busy eating popcorn.
At first, she ate popcorn while watching the movie. Until the middle of the movie, she felt the film was too dull, and she devoted herself to eat popcorn.
Nom, nom, nom, nom...
Shen Nianshen also felt bored; he leaned back in his chair and tried to overcome his boredom.
He lowered his gaze, and his eyes fell towards Sun Tiantian's head.
That girl lowered her head, embraced two barrels of popcorn and endlessly put popcorn into her mouth.

The long movie finally finished, when they came out of the Cinema, everyone talked to each other about the film.

"But the movie is too boring; I almost fell asleep."
Sun Tiantian heard some guy beside her, teasing each other, she looked up and asked Shen Nianshen, "Did you think the movie is good?"
Shen Nianshen pressed his nape, and try to flex the tension there. Hearing Sun Tiantian's question, he answered, "What do you think?"
Sun Tiantian chuckled, "I also feel bored. I almost fell asleep."

Shen Nianshen's eyes twitch, so who was the one that eating popcorn like a little mouse during the movie?
Sun Tiantian finished two barrels of popcorn cleanly when she came out of the cinema she still held a can of cola.  She took it out and planned immediately drank it up in one gulp, then threw it away.
When Shen Nianshen saw her drinking cola in that way, he was a little worried, "Didn't you eat too much? You already drank two cans of cola, will you get a stomachache?"
Sun Tiantian said confidently, "No, my stomach is firm."

This was the first time Sun Tiantian watched a with Shen Nianshen; her mood was very incredible. Along the way to the library, they walked together, and the girl continued to smile as she looked at Shen Nianshen.
"Let's go and watch the movie again next Thursday; we have to choose a better film."
"Can you ride a bicycle? How about we go cycling sometime? But I can't ride a bicycle, so you have to give me a ride."
"Shen Nianshen, have you ever played a doll catching machine? There's a carnival at Mingyue Square, shall we go together?"

Sun Tiantian was very bored; she went to the bookshelf to look for some novels.
But Sun Tiantian could only focus for a maximum of 20 minutes on her book, and when she looked up, she saw the concentration of the guy in front of her was extraordinary.  That guy was writing very seriously in his notebook.
Sun Tiantian was curious; she stood up from her desk and sat next to Shen Nianshen.
The chair in the library was some kind of bench that two people could occupy the chair.
She sat next to Shen Nianshen and looked at his notebook.
Then she stared blankly on it because the book was full of English writing.
"Shen Nianshen ... are you from the English Department?"
Shen Nianshen, "..."
"No way, you go to the Business Department, right?"
"..."
Sun Tiantian's admiration for Shen Nianshen immediately increased by several levels and suddenly hugged his arm.  She said excitedly, "Shen Nianshen, how about you teach me English? I haven't passed CET-4 yet."
Shen Nianshen was still doing his activities, his head was not raised, and his voice was weary, "CET-4 is very easy, you just have to practice with two sets of sample questions."

But this was very difficult for Sun Tiantian. After sitting for several hours, she began to feel uncomfortable.
The most important thing was she seemed to have a stomachache.
She had gone back and forth several times to restroom, but it wasn't diarrhea.  However, the pain in her stomach was getting more and more intense.
Within half an hour, she had gone back and forth to the restroom three times. Shen Nianshen finally felt something was wrong. He looked up and saw Sun Tiantian nestled on the table with her face buried inside both of her arms.
He was a little worried, stretched out his hand and touched that girl, "Sun Tiantian, are you alright?"
Sun Tiantian did not move, but when she looked up from her arms, her face was pale and looked scary.
Shen Nianshen's eyebrows rose, he asked frantically, "What's wrong with you? Why is your face so pale? You're not feeling well?"
Sun Tiantian's voice was weak, her other hand holding her stomach, "Seems like ... it seems like I have a stomachache."
The girl's face was pale, Shen Nianshen frowned and immediately put down the questioner. He stood up from his chair and headed to Sun Tiantian's side. That's when he realised that the girl was holding her stomach in the appendix position.

Shen Nianshen saw this situation, his eyebrows stiffened, he immediately crouched before Sun Tiantian, "Go up, I'll take you to the hospital."
Shen Nianshen carried Sun Tiantian and immediately flew to the Hospital.
Sun Tiantian who was on Shen Nianshen's back, even though her stomach was very painful, but her heart was filled with joy.
She hugged his neck and leaned her face on his shoulder.
She hoped that time would stop at this second, she also hoped that Shen Nianshen would always carry her like this.  She hoped that Shen Nianshen could like her as much as she loves him.

Hospital.
Sun Tiantian was infused, Shen Nianshen sat next to her and accompanied her, but his face was very horrible.

Lan nodded, she suddenly remembered when she first saw Zheng. This man changed so much in two movies, he had gotten the characteristics of a leader.

“Then we will leave this place.” Zheng smiled bitterly. “This place is… not safe.”

Everyone agreed to the suggestion. The three young men rushed downstairs in panic. That woman followed them. Though the boy and the other man took the stairs calmly.

Jie and Zero followed after. They could see that these two probably had some talent, or at least potential. After Xuan left, they desperately needed someone with the wisdom. Even though Lan could fill the position, she was incomparable to Xuan.

Zheng checked the surroundings while holding the gun. Then he noticed Lan staring at him. “What are you waiting for? Hurry, I’ll cover the retreat.”

Lan blushed a little. “You don’t have to be so nervous. There’s usually a pattern in this type of movie. We should be safe within one or two days. Those things usually attack us when we are not paying attention… Did you find out anything?”

“If I tell you I can see… no, I can sense those things, would you believe? I sense an air of darkness stuck to our bodies, including me. This is probably the mark of Ju-On… It will find us using this mark!”

Lan immediately started patting herself while screaming, “Is it clean?! Is it clean?!” Which led Jie to run back.

When she saw Jie, she stopped, pushed Jie away and went downstair.

“Women are scary huh?”

“Yea, really.”

All of them left the house as soon as possible. Zheng let out a sigh of relief once outside. That house stressed him so much he almost couldn’t breathe. This sense of danger was way beyond anything he experienced in Alien. The worst part was he didn’t even see the ghost.

Zheng found the six newbies outside, the red faced man and those who followed him were gone. Even Xuan was gone.

“It is 10am, so we will first find a place to discuss how to survive these seven days. If there aren’t any problems then…”

As Zheng put the gun back in the ring, he suddenly noticed everyone staring at the house behind him in shock. He could see the fear in their eyes.

Zheng turned around unconsciously and he saw a woman in white leaning on the window on the second floor staring at him with a pair of black eyes. Zheng couldn’t fathom how he felt as if coldness, death, horror, and grudge were hidden behind those eyes.

When he recovered from the shock, he took out the gun once again and sprayed at the window. Yet, the bullets only shattered the glass, the woman was nowhere to be seen.

Jie and Zero grabbed ahold of him and shouted, “Zheng! Calm down, we are safe now! Hurry, otherwise the Japanese police will come!”

They dragged Zheng away. He felt feeble and couldn’t even stand by himself. As the house was going out of sight, Zheng took one last look at it and that woman was there again…

“You calmed down yet?”

Zero handed him a can of coke and Zheng forced a smile. “Thanks for that… It seems like I have become deadweight.”

They were sitting in a small park. Zero went away after he dragged Zheng here and brought back soda and packaged food. Even though the rations they exchanged didn’t cost much, they wanted to save the rations until necessary.

Zheng took a cold drink and felt much better. Lan said, “Are you alright? I’ve told them that you can sense the curse. You’re the only one among us that can sense it, so we will have to depend on you.”

“This feeling is too sensitive. If it continues, I will probably go crazy from the fright before the ghosts get me.”

The boy suddenly said in a cold voice, “You are not calm enough. When you encounter unexplainable things, the first thing is not to panic but try to understand them… Even though you have such power, you’re just a weakling.”

He said it without raising his head. His voice sounded like a girl, and his skin was even fairer than Lan’s. But he had been reading the book this whole time so no one got a clear look of his face.

Zheng was surprised. “Yeah, I am not calm enough… then let’s get to know each other. You have seen that thing back there, so you will believe us now, right? Even though it sounds unbelievable, we are in another world… I’ll go first. My name is Zheng Zha, the temporary leader of this team.”

This was the conclusion the four of them came up with. They couldn’t agree with Xuan during those nine days, so even Zero joined their team. Though Zheng only thought of himself as a temporary leader since no one knew if they were going to die.

Jie took out a pack of cigarettes and handed one to Zheng and Zero. “My name is Zhang Jie, I can count as a gunner.”

Lan laughed. “I am Zhan Lan, support, not good in combat but I can bandage and help analyze some situations.”

“Zero, sniper.”

The three young men looked at each other. “Lu Renjia, I’m still a college student.”

“Xiao Binyi, unemployed.”

“Qun Zhongding (Ding), senior college student.”

The woman yawned. “Ming Yanwei, HR manager, but Japan huh, I’ve always wanted to travel around Japan. Didn’t expect to fulfill this wish before I die.”

Of the two people left, the man that checked the house said, “Qi Tengyi, I’m an otaku… just kidding, I’m an appraiser… for grave robbers. I wish to join your team.”

Zheng smiled, an appraiser would be someone they’d need. He could be useful in many movies.

The boy put down his book and when they took a look at his face, they realized she was a girl! She was about fifteen, and had a pair of eyes similar to Xuan’s.

“Zhao Yinkong, assassin…” Her voice was cold. She went back to her book. Zheng, Jie, and Lan turned to Zero.

“Zheng, you’re the leader so we’ll have you explain our plans. Assassins are good, this team needs all kinds of talent.”

Zheng nodded, he was worried if there were any conflicts between Zero and Yinkong, but it seemed like they didn’t know each other. Even assassins wouldn’t necessarily know each other.

“I think we need Japanese Yen the most. We have to live here for seven days after all, unless you all want to stay in the streets.”

Zheng laughed then took out two gold bars from the ring. He handed them to Zero and said, “Luckily I exchanged these gold bars from God. Zero, you’re probably more familiar with the underworld than us. Exchange these gold bars for Japanese Yen, it should be enough for us. And buy a few copies of the local map. Including hotel locations and any temples which are here… Oh and can any of you speak Japanese?”

Yanwei and Tengyi both said, “I know a little.”

As Zheng was going to continue, Yinkong also said, “I know Japanese… why do you want the location of temples?”

Zheng smiled at her. “Since there are curses in this world, why can’t there be temples that can remove the curse? If logic from the real world doesn’t apply here, then we will think using the logic of this world.”

She put down her book. “You’re quite interesting, even though you’re a weakling with power, but you seem like a leader… Okay, I will join the team.”

As Zheng smiled at her, Lan suddenly said in a low voice, “There’s still a minor at home…”

Zheng coughed. “Then this is decided. Zero, try to get some guns also, we have a lot of magical bullets. Try to arm everyone with a gun.”

Zero put the gold bars in his pocket and walked away. The weather was sunny, kids were playing, and old people rested in the park. It all looked so peaceful.

But who could say with certainty? This was the world of a horror movie, especially one that couldn’t be explained with science, a world with ghosts and curses!

Zheng looked up to the sky, sunlight felt cold to him, then he remembered that woman in white… Who knew how many of them could go back this time.

He would find reasons to meet Sofia in her house when her parents were out, but to his bad luck, Sofia's mother was diagnosed with cancer and would stay in the house all the time which meant Rose would be with her mother.
Ermanno tried to invite Rose to movies or amusement parks with Sofia but Rose wanted to hang around with her age friends. 
Ermanno had gone so desperate that he would stalk her. He would stand outside her school and take pictures of her.
He would fuck Sofia and imagine fucking Rose. His obsession was making him desperate. 
One day Sofia invited Ermanno to her house to hang out as everyone was out of town. 
Ermanno was not interested but Sofia insisted. What was the point of going to Sofia's place when Rose would not be there, he thought.

Ermanno reached Sofia's place and when the door opened to her house Ermanno was on cloud nine seeing Rose open the door.

Ermanno was not watching the movie and was watching Rose. He was memorising every detail of her's. From her lips to her cheeks. From her neck to her now developed boobs. Her creamy white skin glowed in the dark. And her beautiful long hair looked very silky.
He wanted to touch her but knew if he did he would end up in jail. 
But that's not what scared him.

It was an unsuspecting start to the day. Right until Vy saw Dee at the south gate. Seemed like she was waiting for him. He walked over, at a quickened pace, and with a fond smile. Greeted her. And froze at her reply. 
 "I don't know why, but I don't feel very good." 
 "What do you mean?" 
 She stared at him helplessly, as if unable to answer. But that was more of an answer than any she could have voiced. 
 "Come," he said, taking her hand. 
 Back out the gate they went. She pressed his hand in gratitude. Their eyes met, and all that was needed to be said was said. They hadn't gotten far, when they found themselves facing Annie's questioning gaze. 
 "She's not feeling very good," he explained. 
 "Physically?" Annie asked. 
 Vy wanted to say no, but Dee beat him to it. She was embarrassed as she shook her head, and glared at Annie. 
 "What?" Annie asked, looking genuinely confused, but with a glint in her eye. "It is a genuine question." 
 "Shut up," Dee scolded. 
 Annie laughed. Vy was lost. Annie hugged Dee's free arm, and asked in the voice of a child demanding to be spoiled. 
 "So, what are we doing?" 
 "I was thinking we'd go out somewhere," Vy answered. "Maybe watch a movie. Eat out. Cheer up." 
 "Movie sounds good. We can munch on chips and popcorn and soda while watching the movie. But no eating after. We'll drop you off wherever, and head off to our pizza." 
 Annie beamed. Dee shrugged. Vy agreed in sad silence. 
 They rode the bus to the nearest cinemas, which was quite popular with the students. It was a popular joke that for big releases, it was almost entirely the students, making it seem like it was a special show for the university. It was a short discussion at the ticket counter. A new horror movie had released. And when there was a scary movie, would they possibly watch anything else? 
 Dee sat in the middle, because she scared the easiest. Annie was more interested in the popcorn and the movie itself. Vy had his attention divided between the movie and scaring Dee. It was an okay movie, with a few good scares that had Dee screaming out. Annie didn't react, like she neither knew Dee nor heard the screams. Vy was too busy laughing in merriment to care about how they might be disturbing others. Luckily, there weren't many in the theatre. As they walked out, Dee was properly cheery. 
 "Alrighty," Annie announced. "I'm hungry for pizza. You know what that means? Goodbye Vy. See you tomorrow." 
 "What are you going to do?" Dee asked him. 
 "I'm thinking of going back to the university. Want to go to the library. Some reading." 
 "Oh," Dee replied. "Then we'll come along too. We'll drop you off at the gate. We'll have pizza at the parlour. We'll need an hour and a half at least. Which is less, trust me, considering dear Annie. Finish up your reading by then. We'll go back together. Sound good?" 
 Vy shrugged. Annie was gushing like a fangirl, making the couple blush. 
 At the parlour, Dee sat at the same table. She gave Annie the menu, while she stared out the glass wall feeling restless. 
 "What's with you?" Annie asked, sharing her eyes between the menu and her friend. 
 "I don't know," Dee answered. "I just don't feel very good." 
 "Explain." 
 Annie dropped the menu, and stared intently. She waited patiently for Dee's explanation. 
 "Remember that movie we saw last year? About the woman who had visions about what was going to happen. I feel like she did when she woke up to ominous music, seeing nothing but knowing something was going to happen. I don't understand myself. I just know, I don't feel very good. And I hate that." 
 "Forget about her. You don't have the gift. What you do have, is the intuition. The intuition of a woman. And what that intuition is telling you, is that something is definitely going to happen. And it concerns you and dearest Vy. Or maybe just Vy. Listen to your intuition. It is never wrong. My intuition is telling me, four cheese. What do you think?" 
 Dee smiled as she nodded. This was one of the reasons she loved Annie. The girl could make her laugh so easily, could have her feeling much better no matter the situation. She decided to follow Annie's advice. She would listen to her intuition. But first, she would enjoy pizza with her best friend. 
 Vy walked through the empty hallway to the library. Pleased at not crossing paths with a professor or any student he was familiar with. The library was the same. Greeting Ms Nancy, the librarian he shared a friendship with, he walked into the depths. The book he was seeking wasn't one that was popular with the majority of students, for it was at the same time unnecessary and distant from the syllabus. It was an old book on algorithms. He knew it was there because he had once discussed it with Ms Nancy. And he knew it hadn't once been issued by a student. He intended to be the first. But he would do some reading in the library, while waiting for Annie and Dee to finish their feast. 
 He sat at the furthest seat and began reading. Because it wasn't aimless reading, he knew exactly which chapter to turn to. He could hear the author's voice in his head, helping him see through his doubts. He was distracted enough to not notice someone sit by his side. He didn't feel the minutes flow by as she sat staring at him. Finally, it was her who broke him out, by calling out to him in a whisper. 
 "Hey." 
 He looked at Li and froze. 
 "What?" She asked. 
 "Nothing," he answered. "Sorry. Hi." 
 "We need to talk," she said. 
 "Sorry?" He asked, dumbly. 
 "We need to talk," she repeated. "Keep your voice low, so Ms Nancy won't hear us. Actually, I need to speak. I'll keep my voice down. So keep your ears open." 
 He was flustered. He didn't know what to say. He wanted to leave. But she wasn't giving him the opportunity. She had come prepared, and she wasn't letting him escape. 
 "I have questions," she said. "You don't have to look so scared. I promise, I won't scold you. I won't even be harsh. Remember what you said? That night? In that message? You like me. Could we go out, you asked. What happened then? Why did you just go silent?" 
 Looking at her from so close, he couldn't turn away. He looked into her deep brown eyes, and saw himself. He felt her satin like hair in his fingers. He felt her soft lips brushing against his. He felt her arms around him. Her hands holding his, their fingers intertwined. He felt overwhelmed by his emotions. Joy from seeing her innocence. Sorrow from thinking about the pain he will cause her. Most of all, the crushing guilt and the frightening emptiness, after she was gone. He sighed, and gave in. 
 "I do remember," he answered. "Your silence was your answer, wasn't it? Clearly, you hated that I said what I said. And over a message too. Who does that? Who asks the girl he likes out over a message? I knew that was why you were quiet. We were friends. That was all we were to you. That was all you wanted of us. So, that is all we will be. Since you wanted me away from you, I gave you that. Until you forgave me, and came to speak to me yourself. Like now." 
 "Yeah," she answered, surprised and confused at the answer. 
 He continued, without giving her the opportunity to speak her mind. 
 "I take it I'm forgiven. Thank you. I am truly sorry. I don't know what happened that night. I guess I was in an amorous mood, and I was feeling impulsive. Allow me to correct myself now. I feel the same as you. We are friends. Very good friends. Let's remain what we are? I promise you, I will never act like that night, ever again. So, friends?" 
 He gave her his best smile as he offered his hand. 
 She sat looking at him blankly a whole minute, before finally smiling and accepting his hand. 
 "Yeah. Friends. Of course." 
 He heard the confusion and the hurt in her voice. And he felt terrible. But that was the best he could do.

He was a cold hearted boy. She was a gentle loving girl. 

She loved him with all her heart. He felt nothing in his heart. 

She was heartbroken. He felt dislike. 

They had been happy a year, and unhappy five years after. 

In the end, she found true happiness. He felt bottomless emptiness. 

The story was a hundred chapters of melodrama, sorrow and tears. 

So, when Vy woke up as the lead at the beginning of the story, he decided to make it his. 

"This is me," he told himself. "This is my story. And I know exactly what this story needs. Some joy and laughter." 

He would take Li, the female lead, to her destined happiness easier and earlier, without the suffering and the heartbreak. That would make for a different, and maybe a nicer, story. 

And he had Dee to turn to for help.

Nisa quietly gave Dina an angry glance.

"feels like the movie..." so angry when Dina talk about the movie that she wanna watch "will be available at...around 6 p.m if you get out from the hotel now we might make it on time and we can find some simple dishes near the movie theater to eat"

Nisa stand there thinking, this sunday Thida won't be in Phnom Penh, meaning if she wanna watch this movie she'll have to watch it alone and when thinking about the super market that Dina talked about, images of book shops keep popping up along with plushies shops in the corner....kill me..follow that in another side is ice-cream shop...

This...she has been away from movies, book shops, eating ice-cream for how many years now?

"if we hurry we might have enough time for you to go shopping"

Dina smile "have you thought of what to eat yet?"

think back and forth, the two didn't get to see the famous movie that they like from the start as the showing time is 8 pm and Nisa decided that it's too late

8pm is late huh?? Dina scream inside

"well, if show at 8 meaning finish at around 10pm so it's too late and then thinking of driving me home will be more then 10 pm which pass my curfew. so sorry Ja, i don't wanna bother you" Nisa said.

With that they go and eat dinner and hangout in the super market.

Nisa didn't talk much as it's gonna waste time. She walk directly to a manga book shop, Dina is a bit surprised but followed her in.

She pick book and check them out happily like an old expert in the field while Dina also happily watch her do it.

After a while, the woman who was sad due to no book to read, smile like a blossom flower with 3 Japanese manga in hand.

After walking for a bit, she saw a giant book shop, Nisa pause and said "Mr. Dina i wanna go and look around a bit."

Dina nodded and follow her in.

"i'll spend a lot of time picking if you're bored..."

"i'll just walk around here too, so you just do as you please, just enjoy"

Then she just do as she please and open this book, check that book like this shop is her play ground. 

Nisa stand there reading happily, enjoying her time here without rushing. Usually when spend time in a book shop, she wanna stay there for as long as she can no rush what so ever. This is because this body is hers if he has no bad ideas then he should know but if he did have any bad plan for this trip...well he deserves to wait even longer just so he can learn his lesson and stop bothering her.

After an hour Dina doesn't show any tiredness or bored as she thought but he is reading with great concentration about computer.

"I've chosen" Nisa voice call Dina to draw his sight on her.

The long hand just reach out to take the book without speaking.

"Ja it's ok Mr. i'll pay by myself"

"Bart, it's ok, i'm willing"

So, Nisa give the 3 book in her hands to him. Dina brows through them a bit, one is a thin proverb book, a small comedy book, another is a story book these are all books to relief boredom...it also show her taste in book...she read various type of book unlike those who's crazy about fashion.

Dina take a few car magazines and two computer book and that thick cover book from her hand.

"This one too?"

"it's ok this one you don't have to pay, it's expensive"

"Bart, it's ok" Dina reply with a straight face and take this book away from her to the paying area.

Nisa shake her head...i know you're rich sir!..che!(scorning kinda sound)

The clock strike 12, indicating new day is starting but Dina can't sleep, he's on his bed, when he close his eyes all he could see is Nisa face, that beautiful face, lovely eyes, and that smile! When ever he think about her he don't wanna sleep but get up pick the car key and drive to her home. This...we've just separate for a few hour...

Follow with happily choosing book and spend hours browsing book in that giant book store, he believe 100% that this kind of girl probably like shopping buy clothes shoes bags or jewelries but nope she walk pass them without even a backward glance and prefer to go to CD shops or book shops.

"So what is your plan?" I ask Thor as we sit near the SHIELD facility. I was currently sitting there on a blanket which I had gotten from my Kamui dimension and reading my book.

"*Annoying rambling*" Was all I heard from Thor.

"Can you please put that infernal book down and listen to me!" Thor says.

"Oops, I am sorry I was to busy reading my book. I didn't hear what you said," I said.

"Well, I was saying that I will walk in there and reclaim my hammer!" Thor says as if what he said was as easy as eating.

"Well, okay, have fun." Was all I said back.

"*Mumbles something about how I should show more respect to the almighty god Thor*" Thor said. I think I couldn't be bothered to listen.

'You make me happy, dear student.' Kakashi says.

'I tend to make people happy.' I said back with a smirk.

'Wi-Will Thor b-be alright?' Neville stutters.

'Nope.' I simply reply back. Neville had been to busy talking to Orochimaru about plants when we watched the first Thor movie. So he had absolutely no idea what happened.

'Then shouldn't we go and h-help hi-' I cut him off.

'Nope.' I replied simply.

Getting the hint, he shut up.

I sat there, listening to all the commotion. How Thor managed to beat all those guards still baffles me.

"AHHHHH!!!" A scream came from inside the crater. I knew then that Thor had failed.

I didn't even bother trying to lift the hammer as I sure as hell wasn't worthy. I would sacrifice people instantly if it could further my own goals. I was in no way a saint.

'Well, I guess I should let the rest go as the movie did. And also get out of here this rain is annoying. Also might be good to try and get some sort of electricity resistance. Or at least allow my body to become a conductor.' I thought. Thor was a reliable and trustworthy ally, but the guy was an idiot. I had no idea when he would slip up and accidentally zap me in the middle of a battle.

"Jarvis, how is the search for Reed going? I want to have Doom under control  before Loki does his Earth invasion." I ask.

"Sir, we suspect him to have found a way to go to Alaska. He is currently still on the run, but we have found his trail. It should take Natasha about two days to find him." Jarvis reports. Natasha currently was working on many projects, and they were all top secret.

"Good. How is the training of the others going? Has Sue woken up yet?" I ask a tinge of worry in my voice.

"Sue has yet to wake up, sir. But our scientists are working on a suit that will work with her invisibility and make her invisible aswell." Jarvis said. I would have done it earlier, but I needed to know exactly what was happening when she went invisible. And comics didn't give you a very good explanation.

"Alright. Send a dozen drones to survey the area I am currently in. When the destroyer comes, I want his armor and designs. When I finally manage to find Kamar-Taj, I might be able to access the enchantments on him and make him loyal to me, not the king of Asgard." I said. Plans were flying around in my head.

"Yes, sir," Jarvis replied.

Twenty minutes later I got a report from Jarvis saying that one of the drones had picked up an interrogation of Thor. "Yes listen but keep the drone in there after the son of Coul is gone," I said. I liked the name Thor had given Coulson. Might annoy him as well, which is a bonus.

An annoying interrogation followed with the son of Coul not getting any valuable information about Thor. Except for an ID which I had asked Erik to set up. I had called him as soon as Thor left and had him set it up.

"Brother It's good to see you," Thor said to no one. Wait, there is Loki. He just appeared out of nowhere.

"God, no wonder SHIELD got destroyed. They are all incompetent idiots that don't even notice when a weirdly dressed man appears out of nowhere!" I said. I felt like going in there and shoving their eyes up there ass. They would still be just as blind as they are now.

"Brother, I will not unabanish you. Father is dead." Loki said. Ohh, wait I was too lost in thought to hear the conversation. Yup. Not because I was reading. Nope.

"Goodbye, brother," Thor said while crying. Lokie also looked slightly sad, but I think it was faked. Wait what happened to the rest of the conversation? I was just reading- I mean lost in thought, and they were already done!

"Erik, did they take the equipment?" I said through the communicator on my collar.

"No boss but they did discreetly make a copy of all the information on the laptops. They think we didn't notice, but a hidden security camera caught it." Erik replied.

I gave a savage grin. Excellent blackmail material. I needed the location of the Juggernaut. If I asked Xavier, he wouldn't give me an answer.

"Good. Go pick Thor up and have a drink with him. It's on me." I said with a smile. In the meantime, I think I will have a nice long chat with the son of Coul.

"Ehh why? Wait it doesn't matter I get free drinks. Thank's boss, cya!" Erik's cheerful voice came from over the phone.

I hung up the call. "Jarvis is the flamethrower here yet?" I ask.

"Yes, sir. It is currently at the mansion you just bought in that town." Jarvis said. Perk of being rich was I could buy a house wherever I went. Plus I really didn't want to sleep in a car with an old guy, a girl who is hardcore crushing on Thor, an annoying but funny young girl and an arrogant god who will also be drunk tonight.

"Good. Time to give myself some heat resistance."

An earthquake. Like it couldn't get any more cliché, there had to be an earthquake. All of those stories on the internet, where the earth moves or rain 'suddenly' starts appearing out of nowhere, suddenly don't seem as unrealistic. What the hell is happening?

"It seems the forest knows that the protector has come."

I look at her with wide eyes, "The forest? What do you mean the forest knows?"

She ignores me, looking panicked, "that means that the king has heard too, he has spies everywhere." I give her a 'what the hell' look but she once again ignores it, choosing to walk over to a nearby bookshelf and pull out a large book before walking towards the door.

"Uh...hello, where are you going? You can't just say that and then walk out."

You have to be kidding me. I throw my hands up in the air with a frustrated sigh before picking up my bag, walking after her.

"Can you at least tell me where we are going?"

"Nope, there are way too many eyes."

"Right. And exact what... does that mean?"

"You'll find out eventually, but for now just follow me."

"That doesn't answer my question." All my dear, emphasis on the dear, cousin says in reply is "I know" as she gives me a grin. Honestly, is it normal to want to strangle someone only a few hours after you meet them? Speaking of cousins, I still can't wrap my head around the fact that she is my cousin, which she seems to be. That is if she's telling the truth and not just trying to trick me. I have a sinking suspicion that she is, and that scares me more than I'd like to admit.

Shaking of my thoughts, I take a closer look at the huge book in Gem's hands. A fairy tale book? That's what was so important to her, out of all the things that she could have picked. This girl seems to get crazier and crazier by the minute. Maybe we are related. I don't know how to feel about that.

"Why did you take a book of fairy tales off of the shelves?"

"It's not just a fairy tale book, it's more than that."

"What more could it be?"

"You know, I would tell you, but I don't think you're ready for it."

"I'm not ready for fairy tales? Now, you're just being cryptic."

She stays silent, but I can see the corners of her lips twitching from my spot behind her. As the silence continues to linger, a thought creeps into my mind. I'm ready to know that I have a cousin but I'm not ready to know about fairy tales? I tell her as much only getting, "your just not ready yet" as a reply.

"Ok then...when will I be ready?"

"Patience and in time, you will come to know on your own" says my oh so dear newfound cousin, a grin adorning her face.

"You sound like a grandma."

Silence. Then, "Shut up."

Laughter bubbles up inside me at the sight of her glare. I try to contain it but can't stop the smile spreading on my face. Gem just rolls her eyes before walking off, the quickening of her steps suggesting her annoyance. I try. I really do, but the endless stream of chuckles still escapes my mouth. Gem once again turns to glare at me. But... I swear the corners of her lips rise into the smallest smile.

A messenger runs across the long castle corridor, an aged crumpled piece of paper in his hand. He stops to knock at the door of the ginormous cedar door, afraid any slight movement might doom him. "Hurry up or get lost" commands a loud voice from the other side of the door. "Right, I'm apologise for disturbing you your highness, but I may have found something of great importance."

"Then bring it over at once."

The messenger hesitates but alas, the spell is too strong for him to resist. Handing the parchment over, he immediately rushes out the door, glad to be alive.

As soon as he leaves, the shadowy figure unrolls the parchment to read the words written within. He raises an eyebrow at what it is, the prophecy of the protector of the enchanted. As if someone like that would exist. He made note to check just in case that the prophecy is justified. He would never let anyone mess up his plan, protector of the enchanted be damned.

He strode of, not noticing the paper fall onto the ground with a flutter, reflected in the pool of water.

"Gem."

"Yeah?"

"Why did you bring me to a house that looks like it belongs in a horror movie?"

"I don't know what that is but I'm pretty sure that it doesn't look like it."

My next words die on my tongue at that statement, my jaw dropping the slightest bit.

"You don't know what a horror movie is?"

"I don't know what a movie is."

"What! How? Haven't you watched one on TV before?"

"Rose...there aren't any of those around here." She hesitates like she was going to say something else but decided against it.

I just stare at her, my eyes continuing to blink, in silence.

"Did you call me Rose?"

She gives me an awkward smile, "yeah, don't people call you that?"

"No, most people just call me Astri." Only because they could never pronounce my first name, but I wasn't going to tell her that.

"Well, Astriliana just seems too long," a small smile appears, "and I like to be special so, I'm not gonna call you Astri." Her look practically screams, I'm going to call you Rose whether you like it or not.

"Well, you're special alright, specially annoying."

As I turn to take another look at the house, I hear her mutter something that sounds suspiciously like, "that's what I'm here for." I'll admit, it doesn't look that bad in retrospect but, the towering walls and arched drawbridge doors leave an unusual effect. Ok, maybe it doesn't give a horror vibe, but it does look like something that you see on TV. It does have a nice aqua blue colour on the roof, mixed with the gold, the walls painted white.

The inside isn't bad either, it has a mix of colours, the rooms spacious, big enough to park five cars. The constant gold theme and painted roses make it more beautiful yet strange. Gem pulls me along behind her, dragging me through the room towards the red leather couch.

"I'll be right back"

"Right back? Where..." I pause at the empty room, no sign of Gem anywhere. Where could she have gone? Outside? I stick my head out of the door, trying to catch a hint of where she could be. Nothing. Maybe she's still inside. Sitting down on the leather couch, I sigh, this has been a long day, especially for my birthday. I have no idea where I am, I fell through a whirlpool, my hair stinks of rotten seaweed and I keep getting cryptic answers. On the plus side, I'm not in another foster home, I can finally decide where my life goes, I don't have to go to school, it finishes in another week anyway, and I kind of know who my family is. Yep, long day, at least it's nearly over.

"What're you doing all on your own?"

I jump, nearly screaming as the unexpected voice shatters my thoughts. Sitting there is an arrogant looking man, his eyes sparkling with amusement. Something about him gives me a bad impression.

"Where the hell did you come from and more importantly, what are you doing here?

"I could ask you the same thing." He replies, ignoring my first question.

Touché. "Maybe, but I asked first."

A strange look crosses his face, "I asked second."

"Nice try pal, but that's not how it works."

"I'm not your pal."

"True." I hold his gaze, "but that raises the question of who you are..."

"And what I'm doing here" he finishes with a small grin.

"Yep. Now answer the question."

An almost evil smile crosses his face as he says, "Why I'm here to talk to you of course."

"Talk to me?" I cock my head to the side, "You don't even know who I am."

"Don't I?" He looks almost manic, "Are you quite sure?"

"Yes." My eyebrow twitches, "I'm quite sure."

"How rude of me." There's an unusual glint in his eyes. I don't know if 'rude' is the word I'd use. More like borderline stalkerish on a psychotic day.

"Well then," he continues, "who are you?"

"Nice try." I deadpan, "But, you haven't yet answered my question of who you are, and I know better than to tell a stranger my name."

"A stranger?"

I ignore the question, "Are you going to tell me who you are?"

Silence. I guess that leaves us at an impasse. I just sit there in silence, not letting my eyes leave his for a second. I have enough sense to know what this truly is, an intimidation. I have some experience with those, a girl moving from place to place with no parents doesn't get much kindness. I will not be intimidated, not by him or anyone.

Several moments pass with no change, I see him scrutinise me through it all. Shoulders back, head up, I observe his actions. There's a strange emotion in his eyes, amusement mixed in with a flicker of something else. I can't tell what it is for sure but looks an awful lot like recognition. This feels like a test, as if he's testing me to ascertain my worthiness, but for what? I'm not given a lot of time to ponder that question when he suddenly lets out a chuckle. It sounds dark, like it's been dragged from the deepest pits of hell. A shiver runs down my spine, yet my gaze remains steady.

"Well aren't you something?" A smile plays on his lips. The smile, unlike the psychotic laughter, seems airy and light tinted with mischief. A powerful gust of wind and cracking of a branch draw my attention away. When I look back, he's gone. Leaving just as suddenly and mysteriously as he came.

With no one around me, I'm finally able to try and fully process all that's happened. But I can't. I may have begrudgingly accepted that Gem might be my cousin or that I might be in another world, but it's still too much to process in one day. The protector. I can't even really protect myself much less an entire civilisation. Because that's what she's asking me to do, find a way to protect not just a bunch of people, but their way of life itself. How can someone forget who they are entirely? How can they live whilst not even knowing how they got to be there?

Contemplating, my body spread out on the leather couch is how Gem finds me.

"I'm back." She yells as if we're an old married couple.

"I want to go back." I tell her, "I want to go back to Coconut grove."

Her legs seem a little shaky, her eyes slightly widening. I almost feel guilty, almost.

"What! But..."

I don't let her finish, "I don't know if I can do this. Coconut grove might not be the best place, but it's the closest thing to a home I've got."

"Yes, you can, and you can always make this..." My cousin tries to protest

I cut her off, shaking my head, "I'm sorry Gem, but I can't." The devastation on her face threatens to shake my resolve, but I just can't. She must have gotten that there was no changing my mind because she just let out a defeated sigh and lay down next to me.

It's in this awkward, unsettling atmosphere that we finally decide to sleep. The leather beneath me feeling like hot coals as the baffling guilt sinks to the bottom of my stomach. What do I have to be guilty for? Even as I allow myself to think that, the guilt still stays, creating a unbearable atmosphere to fall asleep in.

Being abandoned as a newborn baby, Astri has never known who her real parents are. After years of going from foster parent to foster parent, the time comes when she can finally go off on her own.
