It was a short message from Ansel's mother, followed by other motivation quotes from famous figures, including from the fictional world.

"Don't believe in quotes written white in a black background with a famous figure that you found on the internet," Ansel replied with another picture.

"I'm trying to motivate you, so you could be more energetic through life."

"Nice try, but I'm getting old and I should have been working for now. Even little sister has graduated last year."

"We're not trying to compare you with her."

"Yeah not you, but some people, and don't forget about society. This moment they may laugh at me, a 24-year-old student almost-NEET. What do you expect from me? I'm tired of moving to another university just because I can't fit into it. And I never forget the day that dad smashed my hard-disk worth of the hobbies that I saved."

Ansel's hand shook, whether to send the risky message or not. He bit his dry lip until it was slightly bleeding. To his conscious, he erased it. Sending those things would result in no more money pocket for a month.

"Thank you," sent.

Ansel threw his phone to the wall.

"Shut up!" his neighbour shouted.

Ansel smirked, "man, you don't understand my pain."

"The professor gave me one more chance to change my thesis topic; yeah it must be my lucky day," Ansel texted Brian on the way to campus.

"WKWKWKW that damn Hitler. I really want to tear his moustache," Brian replied

"If that Hitler decided to give up, I'll treat you."

"DO IT! Write something that made him seeking isekai!"

Ansel puffed his breath, he held his boisterous laughter. Set his face into straight again. Ansel paced himself up, he was almost late. He calculated that he needs four minutes to reach his department. He shoved people who blocked his way, doesn't matter, they were all his juniors. Some just shouted, but Ansel was too ignorant to care about them.

He went up to the stairs, floor one, two more. Skipped one and two stairs, sometimes jumped up, his heart pumping faster. He was impatient, he wished that time moved slower. Floor two.

Ansel sped up, it was his maximum speed. His left foot almost slipped from the stairs, he backed up, his right foot reached higher. Sweats running from his forehead to his neck, he rushed away like the wind on full speed.

He arrived on the third floor, where all of his bad dreams resided. The lecturer's hallway, to his right, was a balcony, left was the rooms where

He didn't see a man with a strange costume and weapon blocked the aisle to the lecturer's office. The man was tall, on his right hand a scythe, and left a big watch.

"What the hell a cosplayer does in this place?" Ansel ducked from the weapon, "coming through."

The man swung his scythe to Ansel's feet, Ansel swerved up, and his papers flew across the aisle.

"What the f—"Ansel spat.

Strangely, he and his papers were floating. Ansel couldn't move an inch; the man dragged his scythe along, the man's big watch stood on the place. The scythe and the watch were tied with a golden chain. The man wore a big blue robe, similar to a pastor on the church, as Ansel recalled in mind.

Is it the end? Angel of death? My life was a joke after all.

The man aimed his scythe to Ansel's neck, it was freezing old. Like a kiss of death. Ansel held his breath, his chest felt excruciating pain.

I should've called my family, tell them sorry to disappoint them all these years.

"Tell me, when was the last time you see her?" the man asked, his voice was chill.

"Who, her?"

I thought he would ask "Who's your God?"

The man put his scythe closer to Ansel's neck, he could read Ansel's mind. "Don't you ever joke to god? I'm looking for a woman; she has white hair, very long hair. She has a chilly voice, something that pierces your ears. Tell me, and I'll spare your time."

The woman of his dreams, literary, not figuratively, he recalled the memory again. He tried to speak up with his trembling lips.

"I… I saw her…"

"Very well," the man clicked his finger, Ansel's butt fell first to the floor, and it was a hard landing. Ansel rubbed it, hoping that his bones didn't break. The papers flew to his lap elegantly, it was unfair. "But I won't let you escape until you found it. Take your time," Ansel's feet were tied with a golden shackle.

He peered at the big watch that the man hide behind his robe, the clock was not moving at all. The man flipped the watch; he stared at Ansel with a stern look, pissed off. Quickly, Ansel focused on his papers.

"I found it." Ansel raised the log paper from his thesis project. Behind it was a short diary that he wrote after the bizarre dream.

"Read it to me."

"April 1st 2022. A woman with white long hair, pointed at me at the street near the post office when I walked home. She was tall, wore high heels, and she can run fast. I escaped through the small road."

"19 days ago…She never came back?"

Ansel shook his head. He just lied. Actually, he preferred to hide the truth that he couldn't tell. He also wanted that man to read his mind about his dream.

"Good. Actually, she was an evil being that escaped from my dimension to your dimension. Beware of her; she might use you as a tool to make an apocalypse. Since I am a merciful god from another dimension, I will grant you an escape, to never meet her ever. You may choose: future or past?" he spoke fast like a rapper that about to smash his album on Billboard.

Ansel partly comprehend what he said, then pointed at the man, his hand still shook, "I have a question, who are you?"

"From all nicknames…most people called me Chronos, the ruler of time."

Greek mythology, Ansel was familiar with that name. He wasn't a fan of mythology, but he heard it sometimes on movies. He didn't know that the Greek deities actually existed in another dimension. Ansel overwhelmed with the truth.

"Oh." Nodding his head, Ansel pointed at his feet, "please release me first, your eminence."

"Shake your feet," Ansel did as he said, the shackles turned into dust. "Now, you may choose to go to the future or past? I have time to spend."

"Past, please. To be precise—"

"I could read your wishes and intentions easily like a book," Chronos added, "I'll take you to the time where your fate changed completely."

Ansel awed, "nice, where exactly it could be?"

Chronos didn't answer, he turned his back, and his two small pigtails flowed. He chanted some words and slashed the air with his scythe. Big portal with golden colours swirling in front of them, the swirl has some events that happened in Ansel's life.

"When this portal changed into blue, you must enter."

"Where it would take me?"

"Just trust me; it will be a pleasant time of your life."

The swirl gradually changed its hue, it was green, and then it was dark blue.

Chronos pushed Ansel, "Go! And Godspeed!"

Ansel fell down through the portal. The end of the portal was a speck of white dot, far from his sight. When he got deeper, gravity gradually got stronger. A rush of air, heartbeat fastened, Ansel felt a surge of adrenaline goes to his head. The end of the portal got bigger and bigger. And Ansel crushed hard the white layer of the portal. It was dark.

Loud hard bass blasted on a room; Ansel's alarm. He jerked his body out from the bed, reached for his phone. What he saw on the phone made him puzzled.

"How in the world— Brian probably doing his thesis right now," Ansel rose up. He ran to Brian's room and knocked loudly. "Ey bro? How's the thesis?"

"GOD GAVE MERCY! I HAVEN'T SLEEP FOR THREE EFFING DAYS! SHUT UP!"

"Sorry—"

"DO YOUR OWN THESIS TOO! LAZY ASS!"

"Thesis?" Ansel raised his eyebrows, "but I haven't pass methodology class yet."

Brian opened his door with a slam, "dude, please don't get me with that nonsense joke. Oh, if you ask me 'am I dreaming bro', here," he punched Ansel's arms, "you're awake!"

"Ahaha thanks."

"You better be fast, Mr Ivan will back to Germany next month, if you're late, that bushy professor will check yours instead," Brian locked his door.

Ansel clicked his finger, he opened his laptop. Only to found his first draft of thesis marked 'accepted' at the end of the document. Luckily, the professor was not 'Hitler' this time; his professor was a foreigner, Ivan Sigmund Abene.

He never met Ivan Sigmund before, probably another possibility of his life.

"…fate changed, completely," the words slipped from Ansel's mouth. "How could this happen? Other things must have changed."

Ansel opened the university website portal; he searched for his scores from the past semester. It was unexpected, almost every class that he took, marked perfect. Some of them were professor Hitler's classes. Shook his head, and then pinched his arms.

"It's not a dream."

Still, Ansel didn't have any idea how the event turned up. And why he has to be placed at this moment.

Ansel faded his train of thought; he opened the email, checking the schedule of his thesis. The schedule was so tight, in three days a revision has been done, Ansel widened his eyes, Brian was right. After all, it was a pleasant thing for him.

This time, his dream was not deferred.

After all the fuss, they arrange themselves in an orderly manner. Kai sits next to Cheng and Yue sits next to Chunxi. They face each other.
   "Why the hell is it you??" Xi frowns "I'm the one who is supposed to say that!!" Cheng replies back. "If I knew it was you, I'd have never visited!!" Xi says with disappointment. "Same here!! I'm leaving" Cheng stands up and starts walking away from the room. Yue signals Kai to stop him. Kai runs after him. "Cheng.... Cheng..." Kai runs very fast to catch him. His breathing was so fast. Cheng stops in the midway which made Kai bumps onto him. 
   "How can you leave like that??" Kai shouts at him. "I don't like her!!" Cheng yells.

  "Why you don't like him? He's such a good guy!!" Yue tries to explain to Xi. "Ha! Really? You marry him then!! I don't care!" "Sis... Tell me the reason for you to hate him!!" Yue begs her.
 "Okay! You asked for it!" Xi replies.
(Flashback)
 (5 hours ago in the mall)
   "I can't believe someone will even buy a dress for their blind date!!" Xi's friend Jun replies. "I know right!! My parents want me to look beautiful in front of a stranger! That's so stupid." Xi frowns. Jun bangs on Xi's arms as she was searching for a dress. "What's wrong?" "Look at the guy right there know!!" Jun points at Cheng whose searching for dress as well. "He looks like an idol isn't he??" Jun drools over him.
  "Cheng... Look at those girls know!!" Cheng's friend Ri says to him. "Look at the one girl who is not even blinking looking at you! Her eyes are freezed" Ri chuckles. "Should we tease them a bit?" Cheng asks Ri. "Not here! I bet they will follow us wherever we go so...." Ri whispers something in Cheng's ears. "Good! Let's go!" They both started walking and eventually leaves the shop. "Let's go!!!" Jun pulls Xi's arms and leaves too.
   "What are you doing Jun??" "Gonna follow them" Jun replies enthusiastically. "Why?" Xi asks. "Because they are hot!!" "I don't think so!" Chunxi smirks. "Tell me the real reason for you to follow them!!" Xi asks. "I have seen that guy somewhere!!" Jun replies. "Which one? Tall or short?" Xi asks. "Short one!! (Ri)"
(Cheng is taller than Ri and Kai)
  "Okay! He's cute in fact! Never mind, I'll wait in the park. Find me there!" Xi says and leaves to the park near the mall. She finds a good spot and sits in the bench. "Earphones...~" She mumbles and takes her earphones and phone out and plays some music. Xi dozes off like that. 
  Boy 1: Aye! Look at that pretty girl
  Boy 2: let's do something man.
  Boy 1: should we?? (Thinks)
  Boy 2: come on...
They both go near Xi and starts sexually harassing her. "Where did Ri go??" Cheng searches for Ri in the same park. He moves his head from left to right and sees Xi being harassed by two men. She was soo asleep that she didn't notice what's going on. Cheng runs towards the men and starts beating them, he kicks them in their ball. The both mens started feeling powerless and gives up eventually. "Don't ever come back here again!!" Cheng yells at them. They both runs away without turning back.
   Cheng kneels down in for of Xi to check whether she has got any hurt or injury. He moves his face closer to Xi to check. "Looks like she hasn't got any injury!!" Cheng breathes in relief. Xi finally started moving her body as she wakes up from her sleep. She opens her eyes and sees Cheng's face "Who are you??" She gets startled and gets up from the bench. "Were you....harassing me??" Xi shouts and suddenly she feels a neck pain. She almost faints but Cheng catches her before she could fall. With anger Xi gets up from his arms and slaps him. "Don't dare to touch me!!!" Xi yells and leaves. 
   "As if I'd love to!" Cheng smirks. "What??" Xi goes near him and raise her hand again but Cheng gets hold of it. "I don't ever want to see you again! Ever!!!" Cheng says as he leaves her fist and starts walking out of the park. "This guy...!!" Xi mumbles in the middle of nowhere.
  (Flashback ends)
  "So.. He harassed you in the park??" Yue asks. Xi nods with disbelief. "That's funny!!" Yue starts laughing very badly. "What do you mean by funny??" "How can someone even harass a girl in front of everyone in the park!!? He's well educated...!!" Yue quotes. "So... What should I do now??" Xi frowns.
  (Kai and Cheng in the balcony)
 "Tell her what happened! That's it." Kai advices to Cheng. "Misunderstanding is the biggest enemy of mankind!" Kai quotes. "Okay! Let's go back!" Cheng says and they go back to the room. Kai and Yue leaves the room to give them some space. "Hope they get together!" Yue Excitingly says. "I wish the same!" Kai gives a back hug to Yue as they watch the bright moon from outside the restaurant. "Let's stay like this!!" Kai gives a tight back hug. "Forever!" Yue replies.

"Aww!! Don't they look cute Mao?" Ato, a young girl deity ask Mao, a young boy deity. "Yea Ato! They do!" The deity adores Kai and Yue from above. "ATO!! MAO!!" The head God yells at them back. They both run to him. "Why didn't Qi and Ying didn't forget their past??" The head yells at them. "Head... That is... We accidentally left the pendant below. Qi should wear the pendant in Ying's neck until then they'll remember everything...." Mao replies in fear. "Head... There is one problem with it...!!" Ato continues. "Looks like our rivals have sent two evil deities below in human form to achieve the pendant and gain the 37 virtual powers... So..." "Both of you go below and find the necklace before the evils could attain it!!! It's my order!" The head orders Ato and Mao.
  "I'll attain the pendant no matter what happens!!" Sou and Chunxi thinks.

A year later.....

It's late December, I took 2 weeks off to visit Tiere at Jakarta, staying at her apartment. Tiere told me she loves her job and she made a lot of money. I'm so happy that I let her chase her dreams. And I, I finally got to work at my dream game company, was accepted right after a month dating Tiere. She's like a lucky charm to me.

The sun shining through the open curtain, I woke up before the alarm start beeping. I turned it off once it rang cause it's Sunday, I leaned forward looking at the peaceful looks of Tiere while she's sleeping, drooling on her pillow, greasy hair, and her messy waterproof makeup, did she forget to wash her face or? I use my thumb to wipe her eye –shadow but I didn't make it, for me she's always beautiful, my lips lifted upward I feel warm in my heart as it beats faster cause I realize how much I love her. Somehow it's so calming and my heart is melting. I leaned my head forward again, kiss her lips once and she pouted. "I want to sleeeppppp" she said, tossing her body to the other side. I laid back on the bed, hug her from behind. 

"Good morning, my dear" I whispered. I heard her sniffing smiles. Then my phone ruined my Sunday.

I sit up to catch my phone, my mom's picture popped up. DAMN! SHE IS VIDEO CALLING ME RIGHT NOW? I LIED TO HER! But it's okay, I am 24 years old. BUT NO, JUST PRETEND I'M IN THE HOTEL.

I click the green button soon as my mom's face close up-ly appeared. I was kind of shock, my heart start pumping fast, throbbing behind my ribs, it's going to crack soon.

"Hii.. Mom" my jaw turns rigid. 

"Hey, so, you're at Jakarta?" my mom asked, still smiling.  

I nod my head, "Yes"

"Huh.. it's so hard to ask you to come to Miami, but when it is about Tiere, you arrived soon as she asked" 

I told my mom about Tiere and my mom was so happy about it. I don't know she used to ship me with Tiere since grade –school. I don't understand my mom sometimes. 

"Mom..." I rolled my eyes. 

"So where's she?"

"She is beside me..ups" I covered my mouth, DAMN! MY MOM PURPOSELY SHIFT MY CONCENTRATION.

Her smile disappeared, her face turned scary. THIS IS THE END OF MY LIFE!

"HAA!! YOU!!! Bastard! You slept with TIERE?? YOU DARE LIED TO ME?? YOU WANNA GET MARRIED SOON, HUH?" 

"Momm.. mom... listen" like usually....

Back to that time.

Once I've done my confessions towards Tiere, I walked back to my car light –heartedly. I feel happy and relieved at the same time.

It turned her speechless, maybe I sound pathetic but not too pathetic that makes her confused. Ah, not a big deal.

But nah, in the past time, she is kind of retarded. Her family isn't that rich, but her mom's new husband and her dad's new wife are billionaires. But Tiere won't take a cent from them. She is tough. 

Caroline : she is one of the queen bees gang in their school. But she is the most normal among the others, I mean.. she is kinda study a lot rather than hanging out and shopping, even though she does a lot of shopping too. She is from a very rich family, that's why people like to cling into her. Nowadays people.

Calvin : Tiere's ex –boyfriend. Son of a famous cosmetic company. Calvin and Tiere were not in the same school. They met in the pub where Tiere worked at. That time, Calvin has a crush on her, and get to know her better. Tiere doesn't change because of Calvin, so don't get her wrong. She changed because she feel kinda ashamed of her past life during her school time.

After the quotes, the article went into further details about the fights. This information was directed mostly towards aspiring adventurers. Having a firm idea of how things were done could be the deciding factor between life and death. At the end, written in a smaller font, no quotes from Kniq's guild leader. Thus, being the first party to accomplish such a feat, their name would be forever etched into history. The reaction from said news had taken the capital by stride. Many were amazed by the details of the fight. The standards to which the protectors had to follow was raised. Many of the top-guilds were gutted by said news, though it remained behind closed doors.
 "They might quote us, but none really know our faces do they," Achilles commented then sipped tea.
 "You're right, it's probably for the better," Undrar agreed. 
A few meters away, stood on the first floor in the hallway, Staxius waited with a bag filled with books. 'I wish I had more time to spend with Xula yesterday,' he sighed, '-I did manage to get the scholar to make me a sword similar to Orenmir, Blood Blade of the Queen. It might take a few days; we'll have to wait and see.' After returning to Pandora last night – the Lymsey sister took refuge and slept in the lab. As silent as a cat, he teleported to Arda where a stern-looking Xula waited. The supposed one-week trip turned into months. A little angry, he got given the silent treatment. Nevertheless, after flattery and compliments, breaking through that adorable, angry side of Xula – they made up with a shared passionate night. Before the sun awoke, Staxius returned for there were things to be settled. 
 "I'm sorry for being such a bad husband, you deserve better," cuddled under a blanket, he whispered with regret in the tone. A vivid piece of memory that carried over to the next day.
 "It's fine," she caressed his hair and face, "-you're working hard for both my and the kingdom's sake. How it hurts to be away from he who stole my heart," a kiss later, "-I don't mind it one bit. Do what must be done, thou shalt always have a home to return. Tis my job as a wife to welcome thee with open arms," a smile followed by the scent of flowers, Xula's generosity knew no bounds. 
 "Living a normal life isn't in our fate," he sighed, "-you're a queen and the heir to the god of death. Excepting normality is a dream, however, I vow to always stand by thy side," their fingers interlocked, face to face, he smiled and she blushed, "-I adore you so much, queen of my heart and soul, I adore you…"
 "Wake up…" the daydream broke by Lizzie's voice. 
 "Oh, sorry about that," the prior night's memories returned to the back of the mind. The love that built between the king and queen transcended what people deemed as normal. Both felt exactly the same way, despite not having time to spend with one another. Each moment allowed was precious – what they had was unconditional love. To love without condition, each wanted the other's happiness and expected nothing in return. Selfless and noble – the bond wasn't tied to the mortal realm either, it reached their soul as well. Not to forget, Staxius was the conduit for Xula, channeling her power and returning her status as Angel wasn't a mere act of kindness. He had done something worth much more than words and actions. In Xula's case, she gave Staxius a new purpose, a new will, and a new mindset. A change that made him into a better person, a change he'd never forget for it was the best thing to ever happen. In that sense, both were saviors to one another, the love story of an angel and the heir to a god.
 "It's fine," Lizzie spoke with a smile, her uniform, one of white and golden color – the one that was previously torn now replaced.
 "Shall we leave?" he offered.
 "After we say good-bye to the others," she smiled, thus their arrival at the hotel's eatery. 
 "Morning everyone," Lizzie spoke with a big smile.
 "Morning Lizzie, morning master," the others returned said greeting.
 "I see the newspaper has our name on it," Staxius pointed to which Avon lent his copy. The chatter continued as if old friends. A few minutes later, Auic descended from her room with a lunchbox. 
 "Sorry I'm late," she said whilst panting, her face covered in sweat.
 "It's fine," Lizzie reassured the fox-lady then took the box.
 "Master…" confused, Auic needed answers.
 "I forgot to say," he cleared his throat and gained the table's attention. "-Starting today, I've decided to embrace my duty as Lizzie's guardian. Change is sure to come; I hope everyone is ready – that platinum quest we accomplished has opened new avenues," the voice soothing and filled with determination.
 "What about the twins then?" Undrar asked, "-from what I found out, they don't have a place to call home any longer," her concern was well-founded. 
 "Good point," he returned her question with a smile, "-Kniq is a big family. Atop being a guild, we're one big unit – the twins might not have a home yet," a quick pause later, "-that is to say that, the change will come. Best be ready, my friends, my comrades, you best be ready – we shall soon enter a new age," Staxius spoke with a leader's vigor.
 "We'll trust you," Achilles replied with a smile, they nodded in agreement. 
 "It's getting rather late, I'll see you all later. If anything comes up, do reach out – I shall be at Pandora, I think," wearing the same clothes as yesterday, the duo entered Void and headed off to school.
 "Something has changed," Deadeyes commented.
 "I think so, yeah," Undrar agreed.
 "Let's not forget that Staxius is still twenty or so," Avon added.
 "Age is just a number," Auic interjected, "-in my opinion, I think master is standing up to his many responsibilities. As he said, change is underway, we all can but wait and see," breakfast continued. 
 "Are you going to come and fetch me later?" Auic asked, her face could barely keep with her smile, one big and large.
 "Yes," he replied kindly, "-I'll try to be as regular as I can. Though, if something comes up, I'll make sure to send a message," he took out the phone, "-Is that alright?" 
 "Sound good," she took out hers and exchanged details. 
 "If I don't respond, contact Auic,"
 "Don't worry," Lizzie pouted, "-it's not like this is the first time I'm doing this."
 "I guess not," he chuckled then patted her head.
 "What are you doing up so early," Adete awoke from her slumber.
 "See for yourself," the car drove forth. An hour later, they arrived, the roads were jammed for the most part. A normal part of life here. 
 "Here we are," he voiced, the car came to a slow stop before the gate. 
 "Check that car out," the students pointed at Void, "-it must be so expensive," they commented. "Whoever that student is, must come from a rich family – I'd not be surprised if they were royalty," the chatter came from a group of students that waited for their comrades to arrive. Judging by their tie, they were in the same grade as Lizzie.
 "I'll see you later," Staxius said to which the door opened.
 "Later," she replied with a joyful smile, "-don't forget to call if anything happens," her head tilted to the right slightly, then pulled out a peace-sign, after which, she walked away.
 'I wonder who she learned that from,' the car sped forth. As opposed to reluctantly enter her classroom, Lizzie arrived with glee on her face. Being cared for by Staxius had done more than he'd thought. 
 'Now it's time to go buy the place where Kniq can finally live in peace. I wonder who should I call, Raulf or Cake,' parked underneath an array of trees lined on the sidewalk, Staxius leaned on the hood and had a cigar. Leaves from the branches fell slowly to the ground, it seemed as if snow, peaceful and idyllic. 
 *Beep,* the phone rang suddenly.
 "Hello?" he asked with no idea to who had called.
 "Good morning Staxius," a feminine voice spoke, "-it's me, Melisa," she voiced.
 "Is something the matter?" 
 "Yes, could you come by the guild as soon as possible, the guild master has requested thy presence." 
 "On my way," the phone hung. 'Must be the reward for all those monsters I have slain.' Rather than driving back, he teleported just shy of the guild, none noticed for it was done in an alley barely large enough to fit Void. 
 'What's this all about,' the car pulled up against the entrance, he stepped out. A crowd of adventurers waited and spoke as if something major had happened. "Pardon me," he called and made his way through the crowd. 
 'What the hell,' stood near the counter, Raulf crossed his arms and had a giant sword embedded into the floor. "None shall come forth till the Guild leader of Kniq has made himself present," he voiced strongly.
 "Have you called?" the voice monotonous and face unimpressed, he walked and stood before Raulf.
 "There you are," from serious, the face changed into one friendly, "-where have you been," they embraced. "We've got many things to discuss," the giant sword lifted as if feather. The man stepped away strongly. Baffled, Staxius stared Diane and Melisa in search of answers. The former shrugged whilst the latter mumbled, 'I don't know.' Obliged to follow, he continued. Behind, the gathering crowd rushed the counter since quests were displayed a few seconds earlier. 'This could not have come at a better time,' Staxius thought. The door opened – Raulf sat with a gentle smile. 


Thrust into an enigmatic world born from bloodshed; venture inside its complexities, dark-side, and always changing nature. The Wielder of Death Magic isn’t a typical fantasy. The heroes don’t summon forth power from heroes of old, here, the characters are the ones who make up the myths and legends for the next generation. Amidst the turmoil, Staxius, he lives on, watching and waiting as the world grows. 

P.S, I’m not that normal of a writer, my advice is to not expect anything going into this world. Forget everything, I personally, don’t care about rules and limitations and what can be considered to be the norm – the characters are given life, the world moves on its own; I’m just a spectator. No plot, nothing planned, all that you read is the product of the characters moving and acting individually. As opposed to me subjecting them with my emotions, the connection is reversed. They are the ones who dictate the story (Believe it or not, that's the way I write) A world, a story, characters, and the foolish author; we all evolve as one. I should be an observer with my memories or a regular person without.

I teleport the adults and the children to us in my void room. They are a little shocked initially, but as Zinleth sees Rin he runs to her. The kids go to their parents and after a few moments I ask everyone to sit at the dining table.
 
I really wonder how telling the kids that Rin is dead when she is alive next to them will go. This is going to be tough. Honestly I feel bad about that too. Glandriel will have it tough, but I hope that they can accept it.
 
"Now I will clarify things for everyone. Guhnden has been defeated." The kids were the only ones that cheered, but stopped quickly seeing the adults didn't share their excitement. I continued, "Now I know this will be hard to accept, but…"
 
Actually I couldn't continue. I didn't know what to say. How do I explain that Rin is no longer alive. Rin picked up where I left off. That must be difficult for her. She hugs Zinleth and Glandriel.

Rin and Zinleth don't answer they just hug and cry it out. A few moments later Glandriel starts to guess what happened. He is smart enough to know something is wrong. Korral is whispering to her dads asking what is wrong. They just keep her close. They don't speak about it, as I'm sure like me it is tough to talk about.
 
I make a door to some random room behind the dining table. I bring Pax, Kaalm and Korral with me to give them some time alone to talk through it.
 
I make a couch, a chair, a small table and a lamp to light up the area. I do enjoy the dark room.
 
As they sit down I tell Korral what happened.
 
"In the battle against Guhnden, Rin was killed."
 
"What do you mean? She is alive…?"
 
I guess she is understanding now.
 
"I guess the best way to explain it is like her physical body is gone."
 
"Can't you bring her back?"
 
"I talked with her before you guys got here. I gave her some choices to consider. She is going to tell me her final decision once she is ready."
 
"But aren't you a God? Can't you do anything?"
 
"That in itself is a problem…" I lean back into the chair I am sitting in before I continue. "If I kept her alive, I wouldn't involve myself in the world anymore. While minimally, I had some hand in the events that happened. If I get involved in one way or another, it doesn't change that I got involved does it. Most of the reason why, is because I am a 'God'."
 
When I say god, I make air quotes with my pointer and middle finger on both my hands. They might not get it, but that isn't what this is about.
 
"I want to learn and enjoy life: freedom. By getting involved with you all, I gave you all priority. I have saved you all from death. I am fine with that, because I love you guys. You all let me be apart of this family and called me friend. I'm grateful."

I told them I used to be a human in another world. Who I was and what I did. Eventually telling them I died and then I came here and became a 'God'. I know I am omnipotent, but it is something that would take a long time to get used to.
 
Am I really a God? Could this just be a dream? I don't know, so I will treat it as real till I find out. That is a whole rabbit hole that I would never find my way out. I used my power to find out, but it just said that I was. That doesn't help me at all. I have questions, but no answers to them. Honestly, I don't think I will ever get the answers. Well I'm fine with it.
 
"So Kear isn't even your name?"
 
Korral asked me. I am happy she did, because I started to feel this sense of dread from my thoughts.
 
"No. Even though the name I used to have was fine, Kear was something I just made up. For better or for worse, I like it and will stick to it."
 
"I thought your previous name sounded nice…"
 
Korral told me that. In a way I felt happy to hear it, but it doesn't matter. Pax and Kaalm had just listened to the story. I did give a laugh before when Pax heard there were more worlds out there. I did have a small chuckle from that.

I let them ask me any question they wanted. Pax had asked more about my world, Kaalm wanted to know about on the countries that had been destroyed in the past, and Korral asked things about their current world. I told them what they wanted and that lead to more questions, but we had a long chat.
 
A while later Rin finished with her decision and reassuring her family. That had to have been a difficult conversation. I saw that Glandriel and Zinleth hugging her, with tears in their eyes. I could feel the emotional exhaustion they were going through.
 
As I saw them back off from each other I spoke up. Zinleth had his hand tightened around Glandriel shoulder. I think he was having a tough time even standing at this point.
 
Rin had eyes full of resolve, but I wanted to make sure.
 
"Are you sure?"

I am just writing in my spare time. I have another story I am currently writing, but have yet to release anything about it. I want to get experience writing for others. So that is why I am writing this.

I plan on using character names from my story in this one as well as their personalities (at least try). It is a starting point and if things go good, I plan on releasing the other story.

My main difficulty are the characters themselves. It is really hard for me to explain what they look like. I also use basic words on repeat which is annoying to me. Either way this is just a learning experience.

The story will be about a main character that creates their own world to live in. Their own world. Essentially a God.

It will be in a fantasy setting. The character will explore the world to do whatever they want. While the MC will be all powerful, it will be more aimed towards exploring, meeting others, and having fun.

Volume 5 is the start of the story. The original 4 volumes are not necessary to read, but you can suffer thought them if you want. :P

First I want to say thank you to anyone who read what I had written before and suffered through that. As the title of this is a remaster of sorts. I will keep in canon what I had written before. I might make references to the past events, but I won't go into it too deeply. I will also be changing the way the story is told. I find it easier to write in third person, so I will write like that.

I'm going a different route for the story this time around. Actually it will be my original idea for this. It will be a story that wont have much or little main story, but it will be a collection of small concise stories that the main character is in. Well I don't know how to explain it correctly, but this should be enough.

I am still no where near being amazing, but I will just do my best and have fun. That is all that really is for me and I hope that you all can enjoy.

A narrow pellucid brook flowed calmly adjacently to the Gaillardias while the crusty trout swam swiftly in it. Tall lilac plant swayed flexibly as I ran pass through them, the air felt exuberating as I circled the huge green meadow. This feeling was just liberating and peaceful that I hoped it would be the only thing which would stay with me forever. I was too engrossed in those beauties of the nature that I completely ignored my dad.

My dad looked peaceful sitting on the mat that he laid beneath the large oak tree, Peanut butter sandwich, cookies, cakes and orange juice scattered in front of him, it was an alluring scenario. My dad was totally engrossed in one of his books on organic chemistry that he failed to feel the soft tab on his shoulder. I was envious to the book for grabbing all the attention to itself and not leaving an ounce for me.  I quickly snatched away the book from his grip and put out my tongue and ran around the tree playfully. 

My dad gave a hearty laugh as he pretended to be tried of chasing me; those were the best days of my youth. He faked being in pain as he pretended to hold his chest and breathe deeply as he rested his head on the soft grass and closed his eyes. I was too young to notice his fake acting that at that time I really thought he was hurt. I ran fast towards him praying that nothing would happen to him, I slowly nudged his shirt but he was motionless until he surprised me by tickling my stomach. I couldn't hold the tickling as I laughed my guts out shouting for him to stop, I begged him between my laughter and admitted my lost until he stopped and held me on his lap. I was really curious to know what made the book so interesting that held his face glued to it for most of the day, he smiled and showed me a page about the reaction and it was that time I became aware of this trick,"

Sam focused on the road so to prevent any accident to happen and as of me I gazed outside wondering about all things that has been happening around lately. I knew Sam wanted to ask him everything especially about those magical things that happened and I respect his curiosity too but I couldn't bring myself to pour everything about the events to him.  I was also ignorant about the trick and I thought that dot painting was useless until those dim lights from the lamp enlightened my brain and made me realize everything. The most alluring thing about this trick was the tracing in the painting and I must say it was really opulent. After tons of thoughts and consideration on the painting, it finally led us to this museum.

The museum was indeed spacious and spectacular, everything was luxurious and majestic. And all those gossip about the grand museum was indeed true. Even though we were aware that the museum will be closed for the day and it would be illegal to trespass after working hour, still then we climbed over the high wall and entered through the back door.

Sam instructed me to go towards the right wing and like an obedient child I agreed to his command considering how capable he is judging from the knowledge of being with him for the pass 3 days. I was off to the right wing admiring everything, those painting were just amazing as it transcendently adorned the wall and brought the exhibiting vibe around this place. I scanned every painting on my way and observed them swiftly without wasting much of the time. 

I was walking right at the corner of a painting when I saw monumental object right in front of me. I was fascinated and amazed that I found myself admiring its beguiling structure and artistic form that I someone forgot to inform Sam about it. I quickly regained my mind and contacted him through the walkie talkie. The painting was massive as it hung majestically from the wall and the color in the painting perfectly complemented each other that it was a wonder how the painter was able to make it come alive.

The painting was looked pretty large and amazing, but the cream of that painting was the name "Ophelia," clearly written beneath it. This name made me flashback to that day when Mrs. Patterson sheltered me when I was badly bruised. And I could clearly remember that the painting in her house that hung right at the corner of her stair was indeed of Ophelia. Not only that my dad had this painting of Hamlet and embracing Ophelia which could mean something. At one point I thought this girl in the painting could be Ophelia but when I clearly accessed the painting the girl looked more seductive and it contradicted to the pure and calm Ophelia of Hamlet. It was suspicious and mysterious.

A quote stood right beneath the name and this added more mystery to the painting. I recited the quote for the hundred times in mind until I remembered that particular phrases I read in the book Hamlet, " A ministering angel shall my sister be," it was that exact  phrase in the play when Laertes said to himself remembering his sister Ophelia, which actually meant that he would serve and love his sister under any circumstances. 

I was considering every possible connection that the painting and its quotes could have with the kidnapping but to my disappointment nothing weave together to give me a perfect picture. I tried really hard to flashback to that time when I discovered the mysterious key, I still remember finding the portrait and the key beneath it but there was nothing much skeptical. 

I focused again and recreated my dad study room in mind and to my astonishment there was indeed some vague image projected in my mind about this quote and from what I feel, I think I saw it written in a small font and placed securely in that shelf near the portrait. It was indeed amazing how our sub conscious mind could render help when in need. But one thing really didn't patch up with any information I could think of because it felt too unnatural to find the quotes and portrait in my dad's room unless they already knew before and faked my adoption story.

Sam seemed to always remind me how his aunt loved painting and what most astonishing was that her name was Ophelia too so those information really felt like those puzzle which took time to create but once you get the hold of it, it connected automatically. So from what I concluded Ophelia was indeed my mother and after her disappearance I might have been adopted. But one thing was sure that this painting before me was indeed her work.

One might not feel the pain and hurt hidden beneath me and I won't blame anyone for not understanding me. Remembering those thunderous nights when I craved for warm embrace that would protect me from those scary sound and those times when I saw children's walking with their parents in the park, it made me miss my biological parents more. I would cry silently and pray for their return, not only that I would swear to god that if they came back to me I would learn to be a better boy. Without anyone to support you while growing, I was emotionally and physically drained until adoptive parents came for the rescue. Even though I was showered with love and care there was still some void that needed the presence of my biological mother to fill it.

I have battled myself for a long time and persuaded myself to believe that I needed no one to survive and it was until now I find information about her, she caused havoc within me. And mostly importantly my adoptive dad had more to say something on this story but to my unfortunate they were no more. To add more salt to my wound my mom was already dead and this painting was the only proof of her existence. Sam softly patted on my shoulder and I was really grateful for the mere kind action.

I held the miniature painting and slowly placed in the right hand of the girl and the painting started to drift slowly to reveal a safe behind it. The safe was small and it was finger print password protected. We thought we escaped an obstacle yet we were faced with another. It was quite worrying to be exact because we felt that we were nearing to our goal but we were once again to square one. I was not sure what happened to me but something inside urged me to place my finger on that safe and to our surprise the safe opened.

I was stupefied for a while trying to gauged everything in front me. For all my life I lived believing that they have forgotten me and will never come back for me. I have learnt to move one and forget them but it was my lack of trust and foolishness which underestimated their love for me. They still remembered me and not only that I was the key to everything they were trying to hide. My parents really loved me and I was a coward for not trusting them. Even though Sam gave me that will letter, that stated I might be the potential heir of his empire but I doubted there love for me and I was too wrong misjudge them for they loved me dearly. 

This realization hit me too hard that I found myself bathing in tears, I just couldn't stop it. I thought they hated me for leaving me there all alone in that lone orphanage and I believed their promise to come back was just a mere façade but it was not. Their love was genuine and it was warming everything inside me. They had always been looking after me and it was just me blaming them without any hesitance. I cried aloud when Sam stopped me and I knew I had someone alive and important to protect.

 I had made mistakes and this mistake has cost me all my happiness during my prime age. I knew my parents wanted best of me that they gave everything to me and I really had to do something to prove their trust. I calmed myself and took out the small diary from the safe and exited the museum with a content expression.

"Even before I could go near him, I felt his hand on my waist. His skin was as cold as ice and it sent shiver down my spine. There was hint of admiration and love in his eyes and it really confused me. I felt that he liked me but that thought was totally absurd. His pinkish lips raised, it made my legs give away. I felt his hand tighten around my waist and slowly engulfing me in a tight hug."

"It is painful to say goodbye to someone that you don't want to let go," Peter Cyrus's best friend said, walking in the room. "But it is more painful to ask someone to stay if you know they want to go."

"Enough with the quotes, Peter," Cyrus groaned, "But who said this?"

"Anonymous."

"Why are they always Anonymous? You're making them up, aren't you?"

"Not the point here. Come on, get up, "Peter said, pulling the covers off of his friend.

"Give me ten more minutes. I will get up," Cyrus pleaded.

"I have learned not to compromise with you, amigo. It's been two days. You got drunk and slept for two days. I am sure Mina is doing well and good. Look at you!" His friend was not looking like his old self, and Peter did not like it. After the breakup, Cyrus looked lost, haggard. He looked almost unrecognizable.

"I am hurting what do you want me to do?" He sniffed under the cover. Peter didn't know what to tell him.

"You loved her—you probably still do. I know if she were to come back, you'd accept her. No questions ask. Let's face it, friend, she moved on," Peter said, pulling out his phone to show him her latest posts.

Mina looked great. She was smiling and laughing with her friends, something she seldom did around him.

"I know how much she meant to you, but —this was not the life she wanted. You respected her choice, and you let her go. I am not saying you need to move on from her yet, but you need to connect with us. I love you. Your siblings and Blake. We are there for you."

"I know," Cyrus said as he fell into his friend's arms. "When will that pain go away? My chest feels heavy."

"I don't know man, cry all you want it's better to let it all out. You are going to be fine."

You are back and, you look alive. That's great, that's awesome, but we have a situation," Peter said, pacing around the room.

"What kind of situation? Peter! What kind of situation? You are scaring me, okay."

"Someone left with them," he blurted out.

"Someone left with— What?" Cyrus paused. He couldn't make sense of what Peter was saying. "Them? Who?"

"Tara, Tim, and Tyler."

"You're telling me this now? "You just let them take the kids?" 

"The lady had bodyguards with her all right. What was I supposed to do? He defended. "She said something about a guardian—yes, something about an adoptive mother."

"That's not right," Cyrus murmured.

 "You were adopted? How come I didn't know?"Peter asked. "What are you hiding from me?"

"After my parents died. My aunt has five children of her own. She put us up for adoption. There's nothing to hide. I told you."

"You have an aunt?" Peter asked. Unbelievable. "Well, how come she never came by?"

"She's my dad's older sister. I don't know. We survived without her, didn't we? That's not the point, okay."

"The point is."

"This woman, she claimed to be dad's friend. She adopted us, all four of us. I don't think another family would have taken us all, especially with the twins' condition. 

"They refused to foster the twins and I. And the family who was going to adopt Tara was moving to Denmark."

"That's good. Denmark, huh? I don't think you'd ever see your sister. She saved you," Peter said. "Has she been keeping in touch?"

"She usually sent money by Aunt Grace. She moved to France. She paid for my school tuition. She stopped after I graduated. She even sent me a letter, saying she was not going to come back and that we weren't going to hear from her anymore."

"I don't think she is a clean person. She might be running a dishonest organization. My guess, she wants you to run it to pay her back." Dios! How did he come to that conclusion?

"She didn't seem like the kind of person," Cyrus said, rolling his eyes. 

"How would you know? You only met this lady a few times before she left for France. Here, there is an address she told me to take you there," he handed him a sticky note. Oh, how Cyrus wished he could have beaten that fellow. Just how did they become friends?

"Peter!"

Village Capoix—the houses looked elegant, pleasing to the eye, beautiful, the exterior design looked as if the houses covered in gold, not the kind of place they could afford to live.

"You know, there is a slight possibility that you are not entirely wrong," Cyrus commented as they got closer to their destination. "How does someone like her live in a place like that? She didn't look like she—"

She didn't look like one of those elites. The kind of person who had it all?" Peter said, "Well, it looks like she is pretty elite..."

"You mean rich?" Cyrus asked. "Rich would have been enough to describe her, you know."

"She may not have as much as Buffet, but  she seems pretty loaded to me."

"You are right about that." Cyrus pointed to a house ahead.

"Maybe she is not what I said she was," Peter said.

"She isn't. You—and your imaginations."

A security guard came out, signaling Cyrus to roll down his window. "Afternoon," he smiled, "Do you have business here? Identification,  please." Cyrus still was unsure that the people who took his siblings was Mrs. Smith. "You haven't told me your purpose of being here," he reminded them as he took the ids. The security guard signaled him to wait as he verified their identity.

"I am Peter. Mrs. Smith knows why we are here. He's the one she was waiting on," Peter said.


"Sorry, sir," The security guard apologized.


"It's okay," Cyrus assured.


"Thank you," Peter said.


"You knew," Cyrus said in disbelief. "Why didn't you—what was all that for?" 

"I am sorry. But, Had I said, 'hey Cyrus, your adoptive mother is back. Well, she contacted me some time ago because the Aunt Grace you trusted so much had been lying to you and stealing your money."

"Aunt Grace did?"

"Let me finish," Peter said. "She was here the past two days, took care of you. She has the kids. You don't' have to worry.' Would you have left the house to look for them? You'd still be in bed, crying your sorrows away. And yes, your Aunt Grace did."

"God created you, especially for me," Cyrus smiled."Sometimes, I wonder how I 'd have survived without."

"Buried six feet underground. Leaving me a widowed husband." 

"You're too much. Thanks."

"You trust me too much."

"You won't wrong me."

"Flatteries!"
