This is not a actual novel! This is not about a action novel or has a male lead, I just had to fill in the blanks. Sorry!

I ran up the stairs which lead up to the old geezer's study room. I then ran to the room's door and opened it. I made sure to close the door behind me so that no fucker would follow me. 

The study room was barren all it had was a desk and a chair. I scratched my head. Did I make a mistake? 

Following the clue this is the only room in the residence that would have the sun set into it. But where is the next clue? I walked past the chair and desk to look out the large window. The desk was empty. All the cabinets barren. Not a clue in sight. 

I watched as the sun started to set. Above me I could hear the sound of feet running. Macy's aunts and uncles are probably scrambling to find the next clues as I am.

Ugh. This old geezer was having way too much fun making these challenges. Suddenly the light from the sun set hit the window. I squinted as I walked up to the window. There was something written on the glass in white. 

"Roses are red, violets are blue, this place is sacred but so are you."

What the fuck kind of a clue is that?! Calm down Mai and think. The next clue can't be in the garden again. What's important is the "sacred" in the clue. Only religious places come to mind as being sacred. But this old geezer doesn't have a temple in this residence. So it must be somewhere sacred to him. With the fact that the clue is a sort of love letter, it might be a place where he met his wife or first saw her. Or it could even be their bed. 

I rubbed my temples as I sat on the office chair. The last thing I ate was fast food, and the energy that I got from it is starting to end. I sank into the chair as exhaustion filled me. Ever since these fucking "challenges" started I've been running around like a crazy bitch. The short date I had was ruined because of a "challenge". This wasn't a competition it was a motherfucking marathon. Suddenly a thought came to mind.

What if another family member saw the clue on the window? No rules state that I have to leave the clue. I smirked. I'm the only one who's going to be heir. I walked over to the window and touched the writing it was done with some sort of gel. I took off my sweatshirt and wiped the writing off the window. 

Take that bitches! Now they won't be able to get the next clue. 

In any case the next location has got to either be the old geezer's room or the kitchen. Because based on Macy's memories her grandmother used to bake a lot before she died two years ago. So I'll go check the kitchen first. I stood up from the chair and walked over to the study room door. I turned the knob but it wouldn't budge. Panic filled me as I realized that it was locked. 

Fuck! A family member must have locked me in here! Shit! Shit! How am I going to get out of here!

Well… We've finally come to the end of Spirit Immortal. 

Hehe, I bet you guys didn't see it coming right? The cover of the book was actually the ending scene of the entire story! Haha, I did well to keep it under wraps for the two years I've been writing this story! Finally, I get to share it all with you!

For those that had stuck with me for the near two years, I've been posting Spirit Immortal… It's been quite the hell of a ride. There were many days where I wanted to quit writing this story and there were many times where I just wanted to say: "Fuck it! Let me just leave everything and just tell you the outline of Spirit Immortal straight up!" However, because of you guys, I gritted my teeth and completed the story. 

So… Before I begin the FINAL Author's Thoughts of Spirit Immortal, I want to give a huge thank you for all who supported me. Especially my Patrons, who had actually invested money into Spirit Immortal even though you guys didn't have to. There are some of you who have invested hundreds of dollars to support this project of mine and I don't know how else I could repay you for your continued support... 

Honestly, I lack the words to describe my gratitude, so I can only say this…

Thank you all for being the rock in my life, guiding me to complete the story that I dreamed about so many years back…

Alright, enough of the emotional stuff! Let's get to the real meat of the Author's Thoughts. This will be my longest Author's Thoughts yet so if you lack the time, you really don't have to read it all. However, for those that had read Spirit Immortal all the way, I'm sure that you'll find it all very interesting.

Let me divide it into sections first, just to keep me on track. Firstly, I'll be discussing the overall story of Spirit Immortal. How I conceived it from a theory that I had, the inspirations I took and ultimately… The ending that I'm sure only a percentage of you saw coming.

Secondly, I'll be talking about the challenges I had writing Spirit Immortal. My journey from a teenager in university that had no clue about how to write, to the man that I am now. The challenges that a new author in the web novel genre will come to face and hopefully, it'll teach any of you aspiring authors to not repeat the same mistakes that I'd made.

Thirdly, I'll be writing about the things that I would have done differently (ie, the things that I would want to do in future when writing future stories). Also, the lessons learnt that I wish to impart on my future self, as well as any budding authors reading this. 

Finally… I'm going to talk about my future works and how I'll be approaching writing web novels in the future.

It's going to be a long ride since I'll be trying to condense two years worth of experience into one document, so please bear with me.

Story of Spirit Immortal
As many of you know, I am a fan of Wuxia/Xianxia novels. They have played an integral part of my teenage life, giving me content to binge through while I rode through my schooling years. By now, you should be familiar with how I got into Wuxia/Xianxia, so I'll skip the long introduction and get to the reason why I imagined Spirit Immortal as a Wuxia.

I had a different take about Immortality than the other novels.

It was really as simple as that. In traditional novels, like Coiling Dragon or Doulou Dalu, the ultimate goal for the protagonist was to become an Immortal. Some even have realms above the Immortal Realm and they continually become stronger until they reach Godhood. It's a tale that we've all read before. However, my thoughts about Immortality are a little different.

I don't believe that Eternal Life exists. Or at the very least, not in the way Wuxia/Xianxia novels portray it. Let me explain.

What does Immortal mean? A literal definition means, not mortal. So, before we get to that, let's define what mortal means first. A mortal is any living thing that exists in reality, doing their best to continue their ultimate goal… To live. See, it doesn't matter if you are a human or a dog, a tree or a pig. We're all living creatures fighting against our final destination… death. As much as we don't like to admit it, all living things will die one day. That's what makes them 'living' in the first place. We have immune systems to protect against viruses. Possess various traits that will help us survive in our reality. Legs to run, arms to hunt, mouths to eat, sexual organs to reproduce…

All of these attributes are what makes us mortal. Which means that the desires that come from these attributes are also mortal desires. We hunger to live. We lust to reproduce and further on our genetic lineage. We anger to pump ourselves into action to defend our survival. Every single emotion that humans feel are linked to one main thing… To live. Even trees, which are effectively mortal, respond to changes and adapt to live. 

So what happens when you turn Immortal? All of our survival instincts, all of our desires that make us mortal… It all goes away. 

We will no longer want to do anything because we've already lost our most primal need to survive. Hunger becomes redundant since you won't die. Sexual desires disappear since there's no need for you to reproduce anymore. Feelings of anger, sadness, anxiety, fear… All of them would be stripped bare of any mortal. 

Once we become 'Immortal' we cease being 'Mortal'. Sounds stupid to say out loud, but in most cultivation novels, the protagonist becomes Immortal but still acts as a Mortal. Desiring to grow stronger even though he/she has obtained eternal life. Lusting over new girls in the new realm. Feeling emotions that no Immortal should have… All of these got me wondering…

How could I make a story about an Immortal with this logic that I have?

And then it hit me… The journey.

I have to make a journey tale, one where the protagonist starts from nothing and obtains everything that he'd ever thought possible. And it's not like the journey was perfect. Shin lost people on the way. Learned lessons from a myriad of characters. Took on the journey of life to become the 'perfect hero' that was slated to become the next 'Immortal.' And at the end of it all… He'll realise that Immortality was just a lie made up by humans to feel better about his mortality. 

All humans live. All humans die. In the end, what really matters is the journey that we all take while we're living. It doesn't matter if you become a successful billionaire or a struggling pauper. It doesn't matter if you get to live your dreams or be a recluse that loves to watch shows all day. As long as you're satisfied with your life's journey. That's all that matters.

At least, that was what I was trying to convey in Spirit Immortal.

Remember when I said that I wanted to finish this story because I wanted all of you to see my ending? The ending that I created was to show what my thoughts were about mortality. The life of a mortal, the journey that said mortal would take and finally… The end that no one can escape from. Spirit Immortal isn't a story about Immortality like other Wuxias. It's a story about… Mortality.

I'll be the first to admit. I lost control over the story of Spirit Immortal halfway through writing it. The original storyboard was for Shin to have a single drive (Ariel's resurrection) to carry him all the way to the ending. The ending that would reveal that the Immortal Realm doesn't exist and they were all cogs in a wheel to power the World Spirit. However, as I wrote more settings, introduced more characters, the storyline became more convoluted.

I'm an author that doesn't like to keep things rigid. As I keep adding new things into the story, it would morph whatever narrative I'm trying to write. Kanari's introduction as the secondary love interest was the major turning point for Spirit Immortal as well. I'd initially thought of Kanari as a friend character that was ultimately there only to fuel Shin's growth and to eventually meet Ariel. However, as I'd thought about it… Would Shin really behave that way when a beauty and good-hearted person like Kanari was chasing him? Was love truly eternal and could Shin only be single-minded about one person till the very end.

Then there were more realistic scenarios that I could think of which broke Shin's motivations. Even if Yggdrasil was real and Shin resurrected Ariel, he would still be a mature adult while Ariel would be a fifteen-year-old girl. Was that really realistic for Shin to ignore Kanari, a beautiful woman who had been chasing him when he was a hormonal youth, for a future with an uncertain Ariel.

And finally, I wanted to put in the family aspect into Shin's cultivation life. Family was an important aspect of all human beings. It's what fuels our evolution as a race and what drives us to live yet another day. So, Shin has to have a family before he ascends. So that he could make the final decision that he made at the end…

To not return to Earth and warn people that Immortality was a choice that Shin had to make. The world needs to have this cycle. Cultivators trying to ascend to Immortality, only to become energy for the new generation to rise up. That completes the evolution cycle of the Spirit Immortal world and Shin can only understand that if he has children of his own.

I've hidden many clues throughout the early books about the true nature of the Immortal Realm as well. Remember in Book 1 when I said the Spirit Immortals "burst into energy?" Also, in Book 2, the Mushinkei, the Frie Clan's house in Chilyoja Waypoint, means "Godless" in Japanese. And who could forget the easiest clue that I gave you all? Dexsot Teinost? Literally you can rearrange the words to form "It does not exist." Yes, yes. Very similar to the Harry Potter one with Voldermolt, but still! None of you got it! I even made it clear that I like scrambling words around with the Frie and Awter Clan all the way back in Book 1! 

Challenges
The challenges of being a writer, particularly an online one, is a completely foreign concept to me when I first started writing. I began to write because of my love of it and I'd thought that it would be easy. There are literally thousands of stories online and they each had their own unique flair. Some of them were terrible, some of them were masterpieces. And well… I got inspired by both types.

The masterpieces made me fall in love with stories. The shit stories made me realise… Anyone could write. Particularly online when there were no gatekeepers like traditional books. So even someone like me, who has bad English and horrendous storytelling skills can actually write something to the masses. 

Thinking back, I really was young and naive.

The most challenging part of being a novelist isn't the lack of time, which believe me, I was always swamped. It wasn't even the social toll that it takes. I had to give up many social events or at least plan ahead many weeks because I stuck to this daily schedule of releasing a chapter a day. 

The most challenging part of being a novelist is… Writer fatigue. 

There were so many days that I just couldn't type a single word. I didn't know how to pen my story. I didn't know how to write my settings. I didn't want to write anything because of how burnt out I was… I lost all my love for Spirit Immortal after consistently writing about it for two years. I couldn't bring myself to the keyboard, distracting myself with youtube videos and other entertainment means.

I would miss the days where my fingers would dance on the keyboard. I remember there was once I wrote a thousand words in an hour, and ten thousand words in a day. However, at my lowest point of my writer's fatigue. I couldn't even write a thousand words a day. 

That's why as the story neared its end, the quality kept dropping. I couldn't bring myself to write two thousand words a day, which was the limit I placed on myself and could only come down to a thousand words. It was heart-wrenching, knowing that I was responsible for the dip in quality in Spirit Immortal, the story that all of you readers spent your valuable time to read. 

I could spin a thousand excuses. Not enough time to write. Meeting up with my friends. Real-life obligations. Real-life work comes first. However, all in all, the main reason why I couldn't write… It's because I was tired. I was falling out of love with Spirit Immortal, even though it was the story that I dreamt into reality. I wanted to keep writing, but the author inside of me didn't exist in the shape that he used to be in.

BUT! I'm glad I faced all of those challenges, particularly with my first long-form novel. I now know what challenges lie ahead of me and I know what I must do from now on. To not just grow as an author, but as a person as well. 

Lessons learnt
Major lesson learnt… Spend more time storyboarding, and less time writing. A chapter a day is all well and good, but if the quality is shit, why bother? So I decided from here on out. I will no longer be releasing daily chapters. Maybe I'll be releasing three or four chapters a week, or even less. I can't tell you for sure right now. This is to prevent burning out once again.

Writing is not equal to authoring. I'd thought that as long as I crafted a good story, I could be a good writer. However, I now know that I'm shit at writing. My English is bad, and my execution is subpar at best. So I will be learning more from other novels to hopefully bolster up my bad writing skills. I will keep evolving, or at least, that's my hope. I will come back a better writer that could flawlessly execute the marvellous stories that I crafted in my head.

The Future of Linodo
Easy. I'm not quitting just because I'd finished Spirit Immortal. I will be continuing my second story, "When the Lilyflower Blooms..." while writing my new standalone book which I had been putting off for the longest time. I won't be returning to Wuxia/Xianxia books because I realise I'm not cut out for this genre. I can't write the 1000-2000 chapters that the undying Chinese Authors can. I can only go for so long before I burn out. 

So Lilyflower will be my comeback in an alternate genre, magical reality. I plan to write Lilyflower for about 100-200 chapters, 300 max. I don't want to keep my story never-ending and open-ended. I just want to make sure that the journey is fun for all of you. 

I won't be writing a Spirit Immortal sequel or any short stories from here on out. If I want to move on, I have to close this chapter called 'Spirit Immortal' from my life. If you guys want, you can privately message me about the theories of Spirit Immortal and I'll be sure to discuss anything that you want. However, for the most part, my creativity will now be focused on Lilyflower and the other stories that I have conceived thus far.

So yeah… That's it for Spirit Immortal! I hope you've enjoyed these two years as much as I did. No matter what I say about this story, no matter how much time I've lost writing this and spending my heart's emotions on it… Spirit Immortal will always be a part of me. It would be a story that I would return to every once in a while to laugh at my young mind and enjoy thinking about forever after.

Over a million years ago, the first human contracted with the first Spirit. Ever since then, Spirit use has become commonplace. Humans used Spirits to carry items and start fires. Eventually, even start wars. Thousands upon thousands of years past and one day, one human did the impossible. He transcended his mortality and ascended to the realm above.  

In the present day, the Frie Clan was once a great clan of the Himmel empire. However, a devastating battle ten years ago crippled the clan and their numbers dwindled. To make up for their loss, the upper echelons decided to adopt young orphans and nurture them to become a future pillar of the weakened clan. Shin was one of those orphans. 

Although picked up by the Frie Clan, not all is smooth sailing for Shin and the other orphans...

Today is the first day of class and not going to lie I am kinda excited to meet the others I just been training with hinata so I never really interacted with them. As we got there we sat together for hokage speech.

Saratobe: The will of fire ... so young ones go and make the best of being a shinobe.

The speech was just as long and boring as most speeches though it lit a fire in me and gave me an idea to travel the multiverse later once things settle things here. Maybe I should get into contact with black zetsu and kaguya and spend the rest of my time traveling the world before I move on but that will make this to easy I need some challenges for us to grow. As I was thinking they told us are class number 1-A were all the clans are in. Inside the room I notice that it was a simple room long desk with long benches split in three sections at most they fit three people each desk. The white bored covers most of the wall and a small teachers podium for the teacher it's a nice class. I grabbed hinata's hand and go to the back of the class room as the others enter it was kinda funny seeing them so small after watching them later in boruto. Sauske is a lot happier this time around because the uchiha are still alive and he has a lot of fan girls still. Sakara is still chasing after him they also seem close for some reason. Ino is also chasing after him dose not look like it's going her way. Shikamaru is taking a nap and choji is eating his chips. Shino is just silent in the back while kiba is playing with his dog kinda nice how they are so care free from all then when we leave the academy everything went to hell so many challenges they had to face just after the academy. Iruka sensei came In after about 10 minutes. 

Iruka: Welcome everyone today we are going to learn about each other and some simple stuff such as hand signs, and Taijutsu sparring later.

Class: Hai 

So the day went by kinda boring since I know everything so far hinata and I just leaned on each other and fell asleep being with her always relax me I wonder if she feels the same since we fell asleep together I could read her mind but i want her to tell me how she feels. 

Hinata: Naruto-kun it's time to go ho.e school is over 

Naruto: Hmmm ok I'm up want to go on date hinata it's been awhile.

Hinata: Sure 

After we left went straight to the icecream shop to start are date and then relaxed at a bench so we can relax and enjoy our time together. 

Naruto: Today was boring since we studied a lot before academy.

Hinata: Still is fun to go and meet new people and make new friends.

Naruto: yep see anyone you would like to get along with.

Hinata: Hmm not really they seem interesting though so I will try to get along with them.

Naruto: You're still shy as always.

The day went on and I dropped her off at home while I made my way home to train with kurma he does not hate much except that I annoy him all the time. Still cant use his full power yet because I'm still to young my body can handle the strain but not my head still makes me lose my mind some what. My apartment is really comfortable I don't have much trying to stay out of the spotlight so I can be a regular shinobi. I actually went back to my world and talked to my parents about who I am and told them I can bring them back if they wanted to but they are still debating since they are supposed to be dead and may cuase a huge seen if they just appear out of nowhere. I also told them about hinata how pretty she was and how I spent my days with her. They want to meet her soon I should probably let her in on my secrets.

Hey guys I know I'm bad at writing this is my first time writing but yall are saying its good and I'm trying to take in all the advice I also decided I should travel the multiverse to different anime and probably a harem with about 5 still debating.

What would you do if you are reincarnated into naruto with unlimited wishes?

Its that time again. finished an arc with a long chapter which is becoming a thing. 

As i said on the previous thoughts, i would kinda do a one on, one off with regards to what worlds they hop to. I did one piece because it was asked for quite a bit. I want to do one i was looking forward to. Its not a strong world by any means but i feel like it would be fun to turn the plot on its head. I still have some worlds in mind for those really hard fights that will push the characters so i think the opposite should be fine every now and then. 

With regards to the next world, i will probably get some hate for it. I only plan on having Shirou, Saber, Rukia, Ichigo and Jaina going. Half the reason being that i want a break from writing too many characters :p. Zelretch shenanigans will be had and the plot will change drastically. Epic moments will happen but no real challenges on the groups part. It will be more of a slice of life kinda thing with swords. Will also give some time for character development.

That being said, i want some input on the next "fan favorite" world they should go to after the one i mentioned. Keep in mind power levels please, i'm probably not going to do something like DBZ when the average character can blow up the planet with a finger. 

If you have a suggestion, post the world you want the most and i'll see what i can do. No guarantees, it may be way out of place for what i want or i may have no knowledge on the world.

Some of my random thoughts regarding new worlds. I think a future mecha world would be fun. Watching the gang show up and plow through giant robots, i'm thinking maybe code geass since many aspects will be taken into account in that world. I still want to do a superhero world in the future i haven't decided which one yet, and it doesn't have to be only one. Soul eater seemed like a fun world to muck around in. Parallel worlds are not off the table completely, but i think they are pretty far out. At some point the story will overcome DxD plot, so a new hub world may come at some point in the future. I'm a bit hesitant to use Fairy Tail for this reason, it would make a great hub world though the power level is a bit lacking. Mondaijitachi ga isekai kara kurusōdesuyo would also make a good hub world so there are options. Worlds in general don't need to be anime though, i welcome any medium. 

Some things beyond the world and plot. If you have any questions for me or things you want to critique, i will be checking this very often. I actually read all the comments on every chapter :p.

It's official I am going to be the youngest Padawan in recent history. I was summoned to the Jedi Council today and they told me Sifo-Dyas has selected me as a Padawan and asked if I was willing to take him as my master. I was confused, because they had not held this year's youngling challenge yet. I was going to finally get to join the older younglings in the challenges. I agreed of course, thinking to myself finally I might be able to get out of this temple of brainwashed drones.

I should probably mention that I'm now 5 cycles old, and I've made great progress ever sense my gamer body unlocked. It was like learning new abilities and training old ones went from hard mode to easy mode. I unlocked a percentage for my abilities and when I reached 100% it would level up and put new knowledge into my brain as if I knew all along. I no longer needed to listen to my instructor to improve my forms, though I had a hard time learning new forms or powers without an instructor. The more time I practiced with an instructor the faster my percentage increased.

I've reach level 40/50 (Master) on the 5th and 6th form and I've reach level 50 (Grandmaster/Max) on forms 1 through 4. I got stuck on the 5th and 6th forms due to a lack of good instructors on these forms seeing as the ones best at these forms are either dead or do not seem to care to teach, because their time is to valuable to be wasted on snot nose kids. I'm talking about you Mace Windu. I still make progress when practicing but it barely moves 1 percent a week so I moved on. I didn't get much help with Form 4 Ataru, but it is such a fun form to use that I ground through it.

I also tried my hand at learning form 7 hoping to bring it back with my cheat like ability, but was disappointed.

Due to this form being lost it will remain locked until you either unlock it through a skill book or find an instructor.

I've also completed my youngling classes a couple months ago, which unlocked the abilities Splicing and Piloting. With my new learning ability I was able to get these abilities to level fast due to the classes being taught by Virtual Intelligence or V.I. which means I could move at my own speed. I do not know why only the specialist classes are learned through V.I., think it must have something to do with their brainwashing goals.

When it comes to the force I've made great progress with my force sense during duals. I've also learned force push and pull, which I promptly renamed force telekinesis, because it always made more sense to me. I've been using it almost continuously sense I learned it. I would keep items floating around me or would try writing with it or more. With the devotion I put towards this new ability I was able to get it to level 50 (Max) in the last 2 years, though I still have the habit of grabbing the things I need through the force without even looking at it, which gets me strange looks when I'm doing it in public places.

Enkephalos town, a town filled with deep history, and is the site of the great Lake Knowledge! This city bears the history of our region, from the very start to the very end. Ancient writings? Ancient structures? 

There were many legends about how this town was formed. One of them was the product of the oldest kingdom in history. After the selfish emperor's defeat, he was placed on a circular lamp by Arceus. He has been known to trick people with his visions to unleash him back to the Pokemon world, but some say he repented for his sins, and Arceus made him the messenger of the Gods. The people wonder, could this be true? Could this be right?

After the kingdom's fall, the citizens were divided into two groups. The Azures and Ceruleans. Now these two groups, are very different from each other. One of them pursues the goal of leadership while the other pursues the goal of education. The Azures would prefer to focus on leadership while the Ceruleans focused on education.

Due to this fight, the Azures and the Ceruleans decided to split, wherein one went to the west and the other to the east. From the far west were the Azures who constructed their very own kingdom which led to the rise of the first king of this region. From the far east were the ceruleans who established their own town called Enkephalos town.

For years, the Azures turned into an indestructible empire until the fall of the first king. The Ceruleans stayed silent and humble as they lived beside the lake. During the first super crescent moon, the people were in awe as they saw a pink Pokemon descend from the heavenly skies. This pink Pokemon granted the ceruleans with knowledge, and every three hundred years, the Pokemon would descend back into the lake to give blessings to the people.

From that day on, the town's people prospered while the Azures faced dominations and revolutions, but that's a story for another time. History is a chain of reactions, what started badly can turn worst if we don't learn from our actions. What started from selfishness became domination and division. The vast history of this region began from the moment Niurs became the bearer of the seven rings. 

"Hey Camellia, what are you writing at your notebook?" Zhery queried with humor as she took a little peek at what Camellia was doing. We were in a small hotel, the girls had their own room but me and Glade has a bigger one... hehe!

"Me!? I'm just writing my schedule for today... you know? Like what professors do?" Camellia explained swiftly and closed her notebook.

"You think I'll believe that? Come on... I know that's your diary." Zhery waggled her eyebrows.

"Diary!? I don't do or make diaries. I feel weird when I talk to myself." Camellia explained.

"Gotcha!" Zhery quickly grabbed Camellia's notebook and opened it. 

"Hey give it back!" Camellia tried to reach for the notebook but failed.

"Equilibrium? Anaxagoras? Theories? Are you planning to make a Pokemon?" Zhery queried sarcastically while reading all of Camellia's knowledge written in her notebook.

"Do you even know who Anaxagoras is? Give it back!" Camellia tried to grab the notebook but failed.

"Pokemon Atomic weight and mass? Aren't you too young to be learning all these college stuff?" Zhery queried sarcastically.

"If I want to become a professor, then I must study harder than before!" Camellia explained as she reached out for her notebook.
"These notes and terms are making my headache! Let's see what's behind your notebook." Zhery squints her eyes as Camellia tries to reach for her notebook.
"Please, anything but not that!"Camellia begged.
"What the!? What's project 47C?"Zhery queried as she looked closer at Camellia's notes. 
"Gotcha!" Camellia grabbed her notebook back.
"Hey, are you hiding something from us?" Zhery queried with suspiciousness towards Camellia.

"I'm not hiding anything! Project 47C is a complete failure!" Camellia uttered as she remembered something from her past.

"Complete failure? What  in the world is Project 47C!?" Zhery queried.

"Alright... I'll tell you but you can't tell Glade nor Kalem, promise?" Camellia uttered with a serious face as she sat down on the bed.

"Your secret's safe with me!" Zhery winked.

"Alright, here's the truth... I tried to make a Pokemon out of scraps when I was nine years old. I named the Pokemon Metalbur, or the Large Claw Pokemon. It had a black body with one rectangular eye. On Metalbur's other hand, it had a large claw which could pierce through anything in a single blow, may it be gold or diamond, Metalbur was supposed to be my partner Pokemon. The Pokemon, turned against me and almost killed me. Good thing dad was there to destroy it."  Camellia explained solemnly.

"You? Create a Pokemon? But, aren't you too  young to do that?" Zhery queried.

"I love Physics, and Biology... mother thought me how to combine those two together to form a Pokemon. Mother said, by combining those two fields... the product would be a Pokemon, that's how Mewtwo and Genesect were formed." Camellia explained.

*Knocking sounds*

"Zhery! Camellia! Me and Glade are going out for a walk." I shouted through their door.

"Alright, just come back early!" Zhery uttered through the door.

Me and Glade were planning to do some sight-seeing at the lake before the festival in two days time. I missed jetskiing with my parents, so it's time to try Jet Skiing at Lake Knowledge.

"Me and Riolu are the best at Jet Skiing! Right Riolu?"  I boasted while we walked through the town.
"Of course we are! When it comes to jet skiing, I and Kalem are unbeatable." Riolu beamed with excitement.

"Oh really? Why don't we race then!" Glade squints and challenges me.
"Sure Glade, but don't cry when you lose!" I teased and boasted.
"No prob! Just don't cry when I take the throne."  Glade teased and boasted back as both of us squinted our eyes directly to each other.
We rented two Jetskis from the Lakefront owner, $40 for every two hours!
Grizz... Grizz...
Me and Glade booted up the Rotom Jet Ski! A brand new type of Jet Ski invented by no other than Ms.Avery at Macropolis City.
"Are you ready Glade and Squirtle!?" Me and Riolu smiled at Glade and Squirtle.

"Of course we are!" Glade smiled back.
"Alright then! Three! Two! One! Let the race begin!" I counted while placing on my goggles.
The race began! Me and Glade pumped up the engine and rushed through the other side of the lake. Water was splashing everywhere as I and Glade tried to reach the finish line. 
A race against a friend!? Who will win? The water followed our backs as the clouds began to cheer! 
"There can only be one winner Riolu!" I beamed with joy.
"Copy that! Let's zoom in!" Riolu beamed with excitement as we put the pedal to the metal!
Glade was catching up behind me as sweat fell off his face, in a Jet Ski race? Pokemons can help to speed up the jet ski.
"Squirtle use water gun behind now!" 
<Squirtle! Squirt!>Squirtle uttered as he used his water gun as a booster!
"Oh ho!? Challenging us eigh? Riolu use force palm on the water!"
"Heh heh!" Riolu beamed with determination as his force palm caused a large water ripple! The ripple caused our jet ski to surpass Glade and Squirtle!
The goal was in sight!

"Keep it up Riolu! We're about to win this match!" I beamed with encouragement and passed through the goal!

"Haha! Nice game Kalem!" Glade congratulated me.

"Thanks, it's been fun playing with you and Squirtle!" I beamed with excitement and shook Glade's hand.

We drove back to the lakefront and returned the jet skis to the rightful owner, Enkephalos is a fun town, I wonder what other competitions this town has to offer.

"Come on Glade! Let's go explore Enkephalos town!" I beamed with excitement.

"You bet we will! Come on Kalem!" Glade beamed with excitement as he rushed outside the lakefront.

"Wait for me Glade!" I tried to catch up with Glade while beaming with excitement.

We rushed through the old houses made out of stone bricks until something caught our eye! There was a carnival being held so I and Glade decided to take a break from all those training.

"Step right up folks! Welcome to the Blaze Ball!" A man wearing a magician outfit uttered.

"Blaze Ball? What kind of game is that?" Glade queried in excitement..

"Simple, all you need to do is to find find a partner! Then, both of you must hit all these tin cans! Whoever hits the most before the timer ends, wins a prize!" the man explained.

"Alright then, let's play!" I uttered with excitement.

"You bet I'll play!" Glade beamed with determination.

We tried to hit as many tin cans as we can by throwing the so-called Blaze Ball.

The timer ran out and Glade won the game! The price varies depending on how many tin cans Glade knocked down.

"You've just won a great ball!" The magician beamed as he gave a blue Pokeball with two red stripes on the sides.

"Cool! Now I have a Great ball!" Glade beamed with excitement.

"I'm not giving up yet! Let's play more games Glade!" I beamed with excitement.

We played for hours in the carnival. We tried rollercoasters and went inside spooky houses but what caught me and Glade's eye was a Pokemon Tournament poster!

"Glade look at this poster! Let's participate!" I beamed with excitement.

"Mini Pokemon Tournament to be held tomorrow for the upcoming Super Crescent Moon Festival. Whoever wins will be awarded with a Cerulean plate?" Glade read the poster.

"What's a Cerulean plate?" I queried with excitement.

"I don't know but I'm going to compete! We should register Zhery and Camellia as well!" Glade suggested.

"Great! Where can we register?" I queried.

"Let's see... Registration booth can be found near the lakefront." Glade read the posters.

"Then, come on Glade!" I pulled Glade's hand and rushed to the registration booth.

"Excuse me... Excuse me! We want to register for the Pokemon Battle Cup!" I beamed with excitement. Yes, the name of the tournament is the *Pokemon Battle Cup* There will be loads of trainers for sure! I'm going to get that Cerulean plate!

"Alright then, just you?" The cashier lady queried.

"Nope! Me too, along with two other friends!" Glade explained.

"If that's the case, please write all your names in this paper." The cashier lady instructed.

We wrote down our names including Zhery and Camellia's name... Tomorrow? All of us are rivals! Now I get to experience what a Pokemon League feels like! 

We went back to the hotel to tell the girls our exciting day! I wonder what those two did while we were gone?

"There was this big Pikachu balloon! With all these fun stuffed toys and big houses like this huge!" I acted and explained with excitement.

"We can't understand you Kalem, can you speak slower?" Zhery begged.

"What Kalem is trying to say is... We had a great time together! We played games in the carnival and earned numerous prizes!" Glade explained briefly.

"You and Kalem were able to play in the carnival?" Camellia reassured with slight frustration.

"Looks like someone's getting jealous!" Zhery teased and waggled her eyes.
"That was supposed to be me," Camellia uttered on her mind.

"That's not all! I and Glade together with the two of you are participating in the Pokemon Battle Cup!" I explained.

"Pokemon Battle Cup!? Yes!" Zhery beamed with excitement.
"So that means, tomorrow we're all rivals right?" Camellia reassured.
"Of course, I'm not going in easy on all of yah!" I beamed with excitement.
"Alright then! We won't go easy too!" Zhery uttered with excitement.

Heads up! Body low! It's time for the Pokemon Battle Cup! Who will receive the Cerulean Plate? Only time will tell as the journey continues!

I am Kalem, I had a common dream, a dream to become a Pokemon master, a dream to travel and adventure out through different regions. But that dream was crushed and destroyed... After hearing the news about the death of my parents, I started to lose interest on becoming a Pokemon Master.

I was adopted by an orphanage, there I met two persons who would soon become my best friend. Them, together with the headmaster helped restored my dream to become a Pokemon Master, and that was when I knew that my Parents were alive.

So me, together with my two friends travelled across the land finding clues and mysteries about my parents. As I travelled to seek for my parents, me and my friends saw something we would never forget...

A prophecy, a prophecy that was about to be full filled, that prophecy had something to do with my parents.

The test results were announced the next day. The university was then filled with mingled joy and sorrow.

"Ah… It fell again."

"It's okay. You could do better next month…"

The students had each other's backs. They were the type of friends who would skip class or have fun at night and of course, they were the type who would console the others who failed the test. 

The ratio of succeeding students was 50% and the number of succeeding applicants was unable to be seen. The numbers of those who failed were greater than those who did. Their surroundings were filled with a lot of disappointed faces with a few smiling faces wandering around.


And Jaehwang? Well, of course, he passed. He didn't memorize everything but he did great on the test with the help from the spirit. He didn't get help from the spirit on every subject, she just helped him with one subject and he did the remaining ones on his own. He didn't know everything too well except for those who were considered as common knowledge. He was not smart so he crammed everything into his head for the past month and mastered it.

"Congratulations to those of you who have passed. Tomorrow is the physical fitness test and skill practice so be sure to rest up."

The instructor came in and explained the upcoming schedule before leaving. Everyone then talked to each other and discussed how hard the test was.

However, Jaehwang did not spend his time there and instead, he went into his room to deal with the burden of his fight. The university's cost was originally lowered down after the first month but when the director saw Jaehwang's progress, he started to give him freebies. He didn't care much so went to spend the night in a motel close to the Korean Hunter Secretariat of Daegu.

He didn't move just to try and avoid people, he needed to find a place where he could sleep. He needs himself to be in the best condition to pass the physical test and skill practice. He won't be able to get a good night's rest since the people who didn't pass were sure to party till dawn.

He woke up the next day at daybreak. Jaehwang did some light stretching and put on a custom-made vest that weighed up to two hundred kilograms. He ran until he was drenched with sweat, it was the kind of workout he was looking for.

He went back to the motel and dried himself off after running for ten kilometers. He then ate a big breakfast and changed into a newly washed training clothes after he took a shower. He felt refreshed and went back to the hunter secretariat branch office.

There were still people there that showed up before him even though he came early. They all wore training clothes that looked clean and new.  A few of the guys had an ideal muscular build and they all stood at the path of the dawn wind, inviting the female students' subtle glare.

Jaehwang went over to sit on the bench. He wore a plain white colored training outfit and no one noticed him until the class began.

"That…"

Someone walked over towards him and spoke. He looked back and saw a tall person looking down at him. She was wearing a worn out training suit just like Jaehwang and she looked to be in her early thirties.

"You don't know me but, is it okay if I sit here?"

"Sure."

Jaehwang approved of her request and she sat down next to him and started to talk.

"I had to wreck my brain out so I could pass that writing test, I'm really worried about what would happen in the physical fitness test and the skill practice."

"Ah. Me too."

He didn't give her that much attention since he was bored but she continued to talk even though he only gave her his disinterested replies.

"Those who had a lot of money specialized their practice in the physical training center and they would also get healthier with the help of some professionals. Sigh… I just came here to learn basic martial arts, I do my workout in the local health center but I don't know if those people could come along. You seem worried too."

Maybe the clothes that Jaehwang wore made him look less fit than he actually was. He had no money to spare since the life of a hunter was already full of challenges and despite that, his limits were nonexistent.

"Yea."

Jaehwang wasn't someone who really cared about money so he wasn't concerned about what people thought.
A guy with a muscular figure stood in front of the other students as they continued to talk to each other. He was wearing professional training clothes. He was the guy who's in charge of the health center in the neighborhood and he mentioned that they were about to train through a systematic balance to get muscles. 

"I'm so jealous."

"He is really cool."

Jaehwang said as he shook his head. He wasn't wrong, he did look really cool.

But Jaehwang wasn't really jealous of his muscles. Of course getting fit like that was not an easy task, it just that it wasn't his goal. Their goals were so simple. The status window then appeared and he turned the switch to the lowest setting.

He reinforced the strength of his muscles in the status window. His pure strength, speed, and endurance were all still in training. Jaehwang's build was just right for his style of fighting and with that, his body build does not concern him. The shirt he was wearing was a just a little loose since he was naturally skinny. 

That was the reason why the person that sat beside him couldn't tell that he was quite strong. Jaehwang exactly knew the extent of his abilities and that's why he was confident that he was much stronger than others. His muscles were compact and dense despite his medium build. No one would be able to compete against him in an actual fight.

There was another thing that the spirit said about Jaehwang's abilities. While being a Gagseog, he was also distributed and remade by his ancestors. All of the strength from his ancestors that had piled up for the past few hundred years were given to him by the spirit. With that strength, Jaehwang was incomparable with anything or anyone else.

Jaehwang was deep into his thoughts and the person next to him continued to talk before she eventually left the bench. An hour passed by and the other applicants arrived in their cars. There were about fifty of them that showed up.

-Jaehwang, who is that looking at you?

The spirit asked after she noticed that one of the applicants looked at him. He could feel that someone was clearly staring at him as well.

It was an attractive man about 180 centimeters tall. He was wearing an expensive training outfit and looked to be in his early twenties. There were other people there with great muscles but his body looked like a beautifully defined drawing. The girls over his side kept looking as they talked to each other.

-He doesn't look evil, he just looks kind of annoyed. Maybe you did something to make him angry?

-Oh please...

What the spirit said was not just a joke, Jaehwang could already see that he was angry. He started at him but he then averted his gaze when Jaehwang looked over.

-Do you know that person?

-Sali Song…

-Who's Sali Song?

"Darn…"

He was the current youngest in the Blue Sky clan. Every time he looked back at him he turned away. Jaehwang was trying to ignore it but he just couldn't. He wasn't sure about his intentions.

'He's a hybrid applicant just like me… He was also first on the writing test…'

The top score for the hunter license writing test wasn't announced to others as the principal orders but a score of 280 won him the second place so he was curious about who took the first spot. He was known as the university's number one and that's how all this started.

His pride was hurt was for the first time. He knew that he was a top hunter in the clan and he was also there for a hybrid license so Jaehwang wanted to know more about him.

"You can never lose to someone like that."

Sage was the most important thing for the hunter license exam. The day was set for the physical fitness test and skill practice so it was great to see that everyone was ready as they wore their training outfits. They all understood what was going to happen thus, no one wore any shabby clothing.

"He's here today." 
The fact that he was also there for his hybrid license increased the tension in his surroundings. Today was something he waited and trained for, there was a chance that he would stand above everyone else and get his certificate but he couldn't deny that the competition would be tough.

"The writing test may be finished but there's always more left to do."

Time had passed by and they finished the attendance check before they started the physical strength practice training. They all had received their numbers and Jaehwang was number 11.

"Gather around everyone ."

Jaehwang stuck the number on his chest and walked towards the crowd that gathered in front of the podium. The instructor stood in front of the podium and raised her voice. Her big stomach was outlined by her black training outfit. Everyone could find fault at her florid and indecent way of talking but they could all see that she was a hunter loyal to their country.

She was enthusiastic during her talk and the applicants before her just gave her back a blank stare. She then stepped down from the podium after her speech and issued the participants to start with a ten-kilometer run as the first part of the practice.

"Everyone in the physical strength system, please gather over here."

The physical strength and magic system participants would have a different experience during the test. Jaehwang who was going for his hybrid license was not so bad at the physical system as a Gagseog.

"You will be carrying a weight of up to one hundred kilograms. Unless you're putting on a different one, never take off your vest. If you do then you would be eliminated."

Jaehwang listened to her instructions as he closely examined the issued vest. The one that he usually uses had the same shape and weight except what he got was quite old. He tied the buckle around himself and fastened it as tight as possible. However, it would still dangle on his body every time he tried to move.

He watched as others put on their vests but the size seemed to fit them just fine except for the ones that were handed to the guys. It looked like as if they intended this to happen for the first part of their test.

Hey everyone! We are past the 50 chapters mark, and I think it is time for an author's thought chapter!
As usual, don't worry, the next story chapter is coming right after.

Some of you may, or may not, know that Rebuilding the Sun Kingdom was rebooted a few months back. I wanted to flesh out some characters, fix some of my mistakes, change the pace of the story as well as many of the events, basically I wanted to make of RSK a more engaging story.

As some may know (from my previous posts) I did not just jump in and say "let's scratch everything and start from zero". I first started improving character dialogues and descriptions, I rewrote a few events and it quickly became obvious that the changes were too much for me to just edit past chapters without doing a proper reboot. As readers would miss important changes and be confused by their consequences. And so I decided to start over which would, in turn, allow me to do even bigger changes (more on that later). 
But I did not want to just come back to old chapters and just edit out/in what I wanted. I felt that this had to be a true rewrite and so I had to start from scratch and rewrite every single word of every single chapters even if I was describing the same events. This meant starting from a blank page and writing the chapter. This gave me more freedom and since I didn't have to worry about what was already written the changes were more natural. I also felt it was more honest for my viewers.

And so my first challenge, after deciding to reboot, was what to do with the first (ten or so) chapters. I was fully aware that many readers would be unhappy with the reboot, and the first chapters would not help as they would not be changed much.
Those chapters are, after all, the foundation of the story as well as the reason I started to write RSK. Messing too much with those would mean writing a completely different story. They were also very close to what I wanted as I had spent weeks preparing them.
Luckily I still had some things to fix for the story to flow more naturally, and some extra details to add to explain what was happening better. 
This was, for example, the legend of the Human Goddess, details on how the king was chosen, what the royal garments meant and so on. The goal was to add legitimacy to Chris' status. This is not enough to guarantee a prosperous and long reign for Chris, but I believe, as I like to say, that it is enough for the people to follow the 'clothes' right now, and perhaps later follow the man himself. That is when Chris has proven himself. 

But I still wanted to go past the beginning quickly, as I had tons of new stuff to share. This lead me to prepare a stack of chapters before announcing my return with the reboot. And so I wrote 30 chapters in secret, which took me two full months of work. This allowed me to publish them at a rate of 2 every day for 3 whole weeks. (I continued writing every day as I was publishing them, which allowed me to stretch that release spree to a little more than 3 weeks.)

Strangely, the first ten or so chapters, took me longer than the next 10. I did not have much to change, but every change was much harder to do. Because they would impact events much later in the story. 
For example, we are still not at Chris' coronation. We are probably a hundred or so chapter from that, but I still have most of it ready, and I had many (cool) changes done because of the new details I added early on (legend of dawn, royal garments, and so on).

My second challenge was obvious, but it was to re-work the story events, by making them more appealing but also by moving them in the timeline and sometimes completely removing them.
This was one of the most complicated aspect of the rewrite for me. As moving around the events can have cascading effects in the story line. Like how and where characters are introduced or what consequences this change will have in future events.

This is because the author is (or should be) trapped by his own work (in a good way). Bad writers just don't care and will write anything they want even if it goes against a character's personality or against the world itself. While the others will notice that their previous words open and restrict the world they are creating.
Let's take a very simple and non-spoilery example : Rinat (the chief carpenter). She is a strong person, she is very talented in carpentry, one of the most important profession in that era and she is also very liked by everyone. In the original draft she was introduced in Brine City, which made no sense at all. If she was from Five Cave Village, how could Chris not even hear about her before then? And so I moved her introduction to the FCV arc. This seems simple enough. But now I had to explain why there were so few horse-drawn carts in the village and why they were in such a bad shape. They have an awesome carpenter around, how is that possible?! 
This is a little detail, but it's the kind of things I had to pay attention to, for every single change made in the story.
I'd say, this troubled me for most of the chapters between 10 and 40. Those chapters were diverging more and more from the old draft, but there was still plenty of things in common to which I had to pay attention to.

This lead me to my third challenge, which kind of sneaked up on me.
I soon noticed that I had trouble remembering to which draft some of the small details belonged to. These were not crucial to the story and were just there to flesh out the characters. But since they were not crucial, they could be placed pretty much anywhere in the story without much consequence. They just helped you understand more the character or discover a bit more about the world. 
Luckily my earlier decision to rewrite every single word in the novel instead of editing chapters one by one helped me out quite a bit there. 
But there were still a few times where I forgot I mentioned an aspect of a character and introduced it later in the story, luckily, LtBeefy my editor, caught these for me :).

And my current major challenge. We are closing in to chapter 67 of the old draft, (the attack on the Kunalls camp), but there has been so many changes (many new characters, new potential antagonist like the prince, many events removed or added, PoV chapters, new factions introduced like the elves and so on) that the story is now very different to what it was.

But there are also many things from the old draft that I was have not written about that I plan to bring back. And it's really tough for me to mix that completely new content with the 'old' one.

An example would be Carl, one of the scouts under Titus.
In the old draft he was introduced after Chris had 'published' his tutorial on how to recruit people. "Suckering them in - 101". Carl appeared as a simple pure man, who followed his king's order and was completely convinced by their efficiency. After all he had managed to recruit a refugee camp thanks to these very words.
But in the current story, Carl is a very active man who has done much for Chris, he was there when they found the necromancer cave, he was the leader of the expedition to find a spot for Brine City, and he might have found a potential romance doing so.
It is now much harder for me to write about him taking advantage of Chris' tutorial on recruiting to 'sucker in' a group of refugee. After all he has recruited many groups of refugees so far, it wouldn't be interesting to just see him doing it again with a new technique particularly if it's just with a random group of refugees. it would be a "it worked great before, so what's the point?" moment.
So there must be a special reason for him to pull out the 101 techniques. And as it turns out, he still has one group that refused him, the one his potential romance interest is part of. And so the story, logically, pushes me towards this.  (See? The author writes the story, but the story also shackles the author). But now I have more parameters limiting me, and the event is now harder to write.

And that's where I am at, which explains (partially) the delays for each chapter. I might not write every day right now, as I lack time. But I am thinking every day of new stuff to add to the story. I have a 3 pages long list of events saved on a text file on my desktop, each event taking a single line at most. So I have plenty of stories to tell. 
Do not worry if the updates are spaced out lately, you will always have a chapter released soon :).

And finally, I was asked previously if I have an end planned for the story.
And the answer is "Yes". I already know how to end the story. I have not written the chapter yet because the characters and the world will likely change outside of what I am envisioning right now. But the main script is done, and I am in love with it and can't wait to share it.

And I do plan to end the story logically and not stretch things out. I will never add filler arcs and chapters and will always only write because it's either necessary or fun. 
I've got an ending planned  and I want to share it. Not delay it to the 22th century:).
