Kier mysteriously recieves several cinema tickets dated back to the 1980's, giving her the urge to watch eerie movies of someone's life. She consults different methods to get rid of the tickets and decides to search the origin and location of the cinema.

Wherein she finds out the rise and fall of a forgotten bizarre cinema, including the secrets it beholds.

Seth's unexpected open session about each individual's future troubled the students.
Everyone looked jittery and worked up.
Seeing their faces, Seth could understand what went inside those still-developing brains.
'I wanted them to consider their future carefully. However, from the looks of it, some are confident while many are still worrying.'
Seth let out a loud sigh.
"Alright, Alright- don't imagine too much of it. You all are young. You still have time to experience the world and decide your career."
Thought the kids were all graduating from their high school status, Seth did not intend to pressure them with career plans. He only wanted to know what they dream about and their life goals. Frankly, he was hoping that they would understand the responsibility of upholding their life and live without any regrets.
Hence, this gathering is for the students to know that dreams are meant to work hard for and achieve.
Nonetheless, before initiating the discussions, Seth called out on everyone.
"First, tell me how you guys did on the finals, specifically my subject?"
Seth's question enthralled everyone.
"It was easy as a piece of cake, Mr. Seth," one of the kids from backseat row shouted.
"Is that so? Then I will make sure to check your answers with extra care!" Seth responded.
The student immediately got scared and went speechless.
"Some of them chorused together with a 'the test was good' expression on their face. A very few had the resolute confidence like Derek, Anna, Carmel, and a few more.
The mixed response from the students wasn't clear. Hence, Seth gave up.
"If you did well, then there is no one else who would be more proud of you than me," Seth declared.
The kids became soft after hearing it straight from Seth. They smiled playfully.
"Very well, we shall now start with your career plans."
Not even a moment passed with the kids feeling emotional, Seth went on to the next step.
"I can read through your expressions, and so, Derek will start first," he called out.
Just as he mentioned, Derek being the topper he was displayed confidence. He did not hesitate a second after Mr. Seth calling his name.
Standing up from his seat at once, Derek took a firm stance, almost towering overall with his prided gaze.
His eyes reflected his driving force, and the expression was so appealing.
"I wanted to become an Aircraft designer and work towards the country's growth."
Derek's big reveal startled everyone, including Mr. Seth. He expected the school topper to be a nerd, but he announced his dream so bold and sharp showcased his perception and such a crisp vision on his future.

"V- Awesome, Derek," Seth faltered slightly from the flamboyant start.
"What can I say? You did show interests precisely. I'm very proud, and I wish you to reach your dreams and go further heights in achievements. Best wishes, Derek."
Seth encouraged and supported his top student to pursue his goal.
Following Derek, Seth let the students speak one after the other.
Row by row, it went. No longer had they felt the meeting to be boring. Everyone appeared focused as they observed their classmates reveal about their passion.

"Next up is our Bridgette," Seth called.
So far, Bridgette maintained silence at school and changed her behavior. Most it was because of the problems she faced alone for the seed she sowed. However, her redemption journey still included her best friends. A little by little, Bridgette's attitude changed. She stopped involving herself with others and spent most of her time with Ivy. Both enjoy movies, and so, Ivy often took her out to the theatres.
The change bought shock to her classmates, but soon, it got welcomed. She wasn't treated highly or so, but still, a few relieved from Bridgette's bullying.
Now, when it came to her turn, everyone gawked at Bridgette with prying eyes.
Bridgette stood from her seat.
"Mr. Seth, I want to become a Broadway actor, not an actress but an actor."
Most of them had their brows reaching the temples as they all heard the gossip queen reveal her dream.
Seth got surprised as well.
"Wow, May I ask why?" Seth asked.
Bridgette held a poised gaze, not hesitating for a second.
"Ethel Merman's performance from the movie 'There's no business like show business' was my first impression. My parents love that movie very much, and we used to watch it often at home. I remember growing up watching this incredible woman playing the role, Molly Donahue. I saw it hundreds of times that I still remember every scene in my mind."
"Also, Donald O'Conner is my all-time crush. He was also an influence. Following that, my parents also took me to many Broadway plays where I would watch these incredible actors performing."
"Naturally, it stuck with me, and I wanted to take it seriously after graduating high school."
Probably, it is the first time that everyone heard Bridgette talk so genuine and is natural in her charms while doing it. She looked happy sharing about her vision. Everybody was in the awe, listening to every word she uttered.
"What is your favorite Broadway play?" Lillian asks, quenching her curiosity about Bridgette's unseen passion.
Hearing a fellow voice coming from behind, Bridgette turns to find all of her classmates in complete wonder.
Astonished from learning about her new side, even Lillian got caught in complete focus.
"Uh- my favorite play?" she repeats to get confirmation.
Lillian Grey nods.
Scratching her cheeks, Bridgette thought.
"Ah- There are too many. I can't finalize it to one. But, if I were to choose, then-"
Bridgette continued thinking about it intensely.
"Hmm, I think I'll say Oklahoma! by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II."
"Yeah, I will choose that because I like the cowboy vibes, and the story has a lot of interesting moments."
Bridgette answered and smiled brightly.
"I'm guessing you like the character, Laurey Williams," Lillian Grey returned.
To her surprise, it was Bridgette's favorite character, and so she nodded her head swiftly.
"Woah, she is a great character," Lillian admitted.
These two conversed as like there's no one present while the rest watched them in muteness.
"Do you know what she is talking about?" Anna stepped in, asking the question that everyone had on their minds.
At an instant, Lillian Grey admitted to knowing about the play. As someone who enjoys novels, it was no wonder that Lillian was aware of the story.
Seth intruded from dragging the conversation. He felt happy for Bridgette holding a passion for such an art. He wished and praised her for the first time.
Bridgette appeared content and motivated by his genuine, heartfelt words.
Sitting down, it was Ivy's turn.
"Mr. Seth, it is not something like a secret. Everyone knows that I love movies and that I'm into directing. You guys watched my short films, right?"
Ivy spoke casually about her dream.
Ivy's interest in movies is already known to her circle, and others as well. She is often found to be participating in some contests or so.
Seth also knew it and wished her luck to make great movies.
Next came Sara and Carmel.
Sara informed Seth that she wanted to do business while Carmel had an idea.
At first, Seth asked Carmel twice or thrice to stress her in sharing her dream, but it failed. Carmel responded that she wants to explore more and then decide what suits her.
Seth dared not to defy her words and encouraged Carmel to find her passion and chase it diligently.
Carmel welcomed his words whole-heartedly.
The streak continued and soon landed at Jamie.
When it came to Jamie's turn, instead of her, everybody answered in chorus.
"Jamie is our music artist, Mr. Seth."
"Yes, Mr. Seth, Jamie is going to become the best singers in our country."
"Yeah. Yeah"
Jamie laughed as she heard everyone talk for her.
Just like Ivy, Jamie's dream is well-known amongst her classmates. She indeed admitted to their delights.
"Jamie, you have to give us your concert tickets!"
A few roared from the backseat. The guys all requested her to give concert tickets so that they can take their girlfriends on a date.
For a while, it became a cheeky conversation for the students to chat commonly. Seth joined in as well.
"Alright, we can't rob her so publicly. Jamie?" Seth settled.
"When you become an artist and hold your first concert remember to invite to us, deal?" he suggested.
The kids all nodded to Seth's words and eagerly looked at Jamie.
"Of course, Mr. Seth, I promise to invite our class and you to my first concert, which I don't think will be that far."
Jamie said and winked, receiving claps from all.
Before sitting down, because they were all in the zone, some of the kids requested Jamie to sing, and she ended up dedicating a song to her friends by singing The Beatles 'With a little help from my friends.'
Jamie, as usual, gave a beautiful rendition of the song. It wasn't like an occasion, but she turned it into one with her performance.
A few swayed their bodies as they enjoyed to her music, and the rest grooved to the song.
Finishing her performance, Jamie finally sat down after loud praise from her classmates.

When you join a new school you think life is going to end up better.I was just walking down my favorite Street,but while I was listening to my favorite broadway,Hamilton walking to school.

"Ariel!" Marie ran up to me while I was listening to Helpless from the album,but before I could say a thing she fell on me ."Get off me Marie ,I know you can't contain your excitement but do try." Oh well she can be slightly adorable when she is exited.

An hour later class starts and I joined the theater clique . All the pretty girls in this club.But I only have my eye on one.Madaline...such talent.She is like a dancing swan on ice and when she sings it feels like I am in a Disney movie with the gorgeous princess. I could never amount to that. Well a girl can dream.

Theater is only one passion.I finished school and went to my cousin ,Willow with her rainbow hair.Video games.Hells with the devil when I play,but I love it nonetheless. We played Just Dance got bored. I walked home "thanks for having me guys" I waved as if I was grieving on the fact the fun was done. 

Home at last. For dinner I ate ramen and rice. So tired. As a 17 single ,I live alone and my parents are unknown but I love hearing stories. At night I get in my pajamas. I watch a few movies and fall asleep.Bling.My phone a number of nobody I knew texted "How about you meet me by Hosu tonight,sexy ass baby"
I was stunned unable to understand what to say back.

Bert dressed in shorts again for his date with the two redheads. He pulled out his tickets, 185.

That will give them (204 + 185 = 389) They needed 500 so all he had to win is 111 tickets.

He headed over to Lily's house to pick them up. Rose was very excited.

"Uncle can I really have your tickets too?"

"Yes, And tonight we bring home the tiger. "

Lily put the car seat into Bert's car and they left. They had so much fun. Bert felt alive. After they ate their Pizza Rose dragged him from game to game. 

They ended the night with 614 tickets.
They got the big Tiger and a small fairy.

When they got home Rose was fast a sleep.

"Give me a moment to lay her down." Lily said 

Bert walked out on the patio and seen a small fire pit. He placed wood in it and lite it up. The heat it put out felt great. 

Lily walked out with a shawl wrapped around her. "Thanks, it's been a while since I use it."

"Tonight was fun." Bert said.

"Yes, Rose has never been so happy. Thank you."

"Any time. You work tomorrow?" he asked.

"Not this week. Bert... be careful with Rose. She may get to attached to you." Lily said.

"Is that a bad thing?" he asked.

"I dated a guy a while back, Rose really like him and he seemed to like Rose. Then she asked to call him daddy and he ran. She was crushed and I never want to see her like that again. I think that is why she asked to call you uncle." Lily said sitting next to the fire.

"Lily, I can't promise not to hurt someone. I will never do it on purpose but I can't see into the future. I like you and want to have some fun getting to know each other. I like Rose and what ever she calls me is fine I won't leave because of that." Bert took her hand.

"Thank you. It's been hard I ... just need some time out sometimes and so far I have not gotten it."

"Then since you don't work tomorrow, I'll get one of my sisters to babysit and you and I will go clubbing. How's that sound." Bert said.

"Sounds great."

When Bert got home he found Betty in the kitchen popping popcorn.

"Can I ask a favor?" He said.

"Sure ask away," she said making a superhero pose.

"Can you babysit a 6 year old girl tomorrow night so I can go out with her mom?" he asked.

"Why not take the kid with you?"

"Our first two dates was with the kid, I want to do adult things with the mother."

"Sure I need the practice anyway. "

"What do you mean?" Bert asked.

Betty told him about the two boys and how she was going to try to adopt them both to keep them together.

"It's just you and me at home now. We have six bedrooms so I was hoping you would support me in this." Betty said.

"I will support you and help anyway I can. Just let me know what I can do."

Zane looked into the adoption for Betty. He contacted his friend Harry Sanders to get a lawyer's take on it. He said he would handle it and get back to him in a few days.

The counselor went in search of Mary Ann, who, when she heard she was not to become a queen, but would receive her money back, flew into a violent passion and boxed the chief counselor's ears so viciously that they stung for nearly an hour. But she followed him into the king's audience chamber, where she demanded her money in a loud voice, claiming as well the interest due upon it over night. 

"The counselor has lost your money," said the boy king, "but he shall pay you every penny out of my own private purse. I fear, however, you will be obliged to take it in small change." 

"That will not matter," she said, scowling upon the counselor as if she longed to reach his ears again; "I don't care how small the change is so long as I get every penny that belongs to me, and the interest. Where is it?" 

"Here," answered the king, handing the counselor the leathern purse. "It is all in silver quarters, and they must be taken from the purse one at a time; but there will be plenty to pay your demands, and to spare." 

So, there being no chairs, the counselor sat down upon the floor in one corner and began counting out silver twenty-five-cent pieces from the purse, one by one. And the old woman sat upon the floor opposite him and took each piece of money from his hand. 

It was a large sum: three million, nine hundred thousand, six hundred and twenty-four dollars and sixteen cents. And it takes four times as many twenty-five-cent pieces as it would dollars to make up the amount. 

The king left them sitting there and went to school, and often thereafter he came to the counselor and interrupted him long enough to get from the purse what money he needed to reign in a proper and dignified manner. 

This somewhat delayed the counting, but as it was a long job, anyway, that did not matter much. 

The king grew to manhood and married the pretty daughter of the armorer, and they now have two lovely children of their own. 

Once in awhile they go into the big audience chamber of the palace and let the little ones watch the aged, hoary-headed counselor count out silver twenty-five-cent pieces to a withered old woman, who watched his every movement to see that he does not cheat her. 

It is a big sum, three million, nine hundred thousand, six hundred and twenty-four dollars and sixteen cents in twenty-five-cent pieces. But this is how the counselor was punished for being so careless with the woman's money. And this is how Mary Ann Brodjinski de la Porkus was also punished for wishing to marry a ten-year-old king in order that she might wear the coronet of the queen of Quok.

There once was a powerful Prince who ruled the business world with no heart.

Everything he wanted he took.

One day a cleaning girl getting his home ready for a party caught his eye.

Could someone so simple thaw his hear and turn the beast into a man?

He quickly turned. He picked up a vase and threw it.

He stormed down stairs. "Who is in charge?" he roared.

Bella stood up, "I am sir, my name is Bella Beauté, what can I help you with?" She held out her hand.

He stared at it but could not take in, "It is improper to sit out in front of my home and have a picnic. There is a park down the road eat there."

"I do apologize sir. We will do that from now on. Is there anything else?" Bella tried to keep calm.

With out a word he stormed back into his home. There was still 40 minutes for lunch so they packed up their lunch and headed to the park.

From the window he watched the little girl drive away. 'Bella Beauté... Beauté is french for beauty and she was a beauty.'

Noah sighed as he read Violet's last text. He sent her one back that said goodnight but he knew he well enough to know her phone was already off for the night and she wouldn't see it until morning.
He knew everything about her. It would be impossible not to after spending twenty-four years together.
She knew everything about him too except one very important detail. Violet was completely clueless that he had been in love with her for more than half of his life.
By all accounts, it didn't make sense. She was such an intelligent person about everything but emotions. Ever since she was young she had been that way. She could decipher people's intentions better than some but was clueless when it came to the basic emotions of others around her.
Her people radar was oddly skewed in that way. Everyone else who had ever seen them interact together could see it. But Violet couldn't no matter how much people teased them about being married.
Noah didn't get it. How could she dismiss her brothers talking that way and still think they were only buddies?
He was afraid to enlighten her though. Violet dreamed of romance; the kind she read about in novels. She would never admit to it but he had seen the way she lit up around chick flicks and other sappy things like that.
She would never see him because he had always been quietly by her side without any dramatics like those male leads she liked. He had thoroughly dug a hole for himself in that way because he was incapable of loving anyone else.
It hadn't mattered much so far. The few times Violet did get a boyfriend it didn't last longer than a few torturous months.
She kept the promise she made when they were back in high school too. Even when she was dating other people she still made time for him. Noah knew his place in her heart was the most solid out of anyone's in her life.
For now it was enough. He was trying to think of a way to make her see him in a romantic light but until that happened, he was content to know he was her most important person.
But flashiness had never been his style. If Noah suddenly tried to woo her like a male lead she would think he was making fun of her. That was a downside of knowing someone too well. Any small change in behavior was noticeable.
He had to do this right. If he didn't, he could risk losing Violet forever. He couldn't even imagine what life without her would be like since she had always been there.
Ever since they were little, they had seen each other almost every day. Even when they were in different schools they still hung out on the weekends or got together on weeknights after their extracurricular activities.
If Violet left, it would leave a gaping hole that would never be filled. Noah knew he needed to act fast before some random jerk came along and snapped her up based on her beauty alone—it was what all of her other boyfriends had done—but wasn't sure how.
Changing his status in her heart would require meticulous planning. Noah had never been all that meticulous.
"Why are you sighing, Sensei?" Joey asked sleepily.
He was the only other person in the room who was still awake. Everyone was in a sleeping bag on the floor since there was only one bed and that went to the dojo owner.  He was the oldest one there and had a bad back.
"Because women are complicated," Noah replied in a weary tone. "Go back to sleep, Joey. You have a big day tomorrow."
"Okay," the kid yawned. "But don't worry about Miss Violet too much, Sensei. You have a big day tomorrow too."
Sometimes kids were oddly perceptive. But Joey had never seen any other woman around him either. Violet really did act like his wife. So why couldn't she see that?
Noah turned over inside his sleeping back and shut his eyes, desperately trying not to worry about losing the woman who meant everything to him to someone more romantic.

Joey ended up getting second place in the finals. Instead of being proud of his accomplishment, he had been mad he didn't get first. Noah had to give him a pep talk on the bus ride back to New York City.
He didn't make it home until 10 PM because the bus ride was four hours long and they got a late start on top of having to stop for dinner. Then he had to fill out some paperwork before leaving the dojo. It had been a very long weekend.
Tomorrow was Monday so Noah didn't even get to rest properly. It was back to teaching classes in the morning. At least he would be able to see Violet.
Maybe he could convince her to bring the rest of Nathan's apple rose puffs over. Those sounded delicious. As Violet's best friend, he had enjoyed quite a few of her brother's gourmet meals over the years.
Nathan should definitely open his own restaurant someday. Uncle Aaron would definitely fund it for him; he was very supportive of his children. Noah was lucky to have supportive parents too.
His dad had offered to help him start his own dojo someday if the owner of the one he currently worked at wasn't willing to hand it over when he retired. Cameron had never fully understood his son's love of martial arts but he knew they did Noah good so he was all for them. Jennica was too; they had never missed one of his competitions or belt tests.
Both of them were lucky to have parents who loved and supported them even if they didn't fully understand them. A lot of kids Noah had known in high school had their parents try to shove unfair expectations onto them.
As much as he loved Grandma Anna, she had definitely done the same thing to his mom. She always picked at her daughter's dream of being on Broadway, right up until the day Jennica landed her first Broadway role.
If he really thought about it, his mom was probably so supportive because of what she had gone through with her own mother. Whatever the cause, Noah was grateful. Not just anyone would support their child not wanting to go to college.


Keeley, a simple plain Jane, hits the jackpot.  [No, she did not win the lottery!]  At least that's what she thinks when she marries the most eligible bachelor in New York City: Aaron, a wealthy cold-hearted heartthrob and Tycoon.

    "This is how I found out that Albanian Louie's dead, that he  hanged himself in a fleabag hotel in Las Vegas. "See, I was sitting on the bench shaping up waiting for Einstein (that's his actual first name) the dispatcher to call my name and give me a trip sheet and keys to a taxi so I could go to work. 
   "Back then I was a stubborn guy and I had my principles. I wasn't going to give Einstein ten frick frackin'  dollars so that I can go to work. After all I'm a frick frackin'  American. I wasn't gonna pay off some motherfucker who was born in a grass hut in Africa so that he could let me work. I would give him two, which I didn't think of as a bribe but rather a tip because I know that Castro the owner oesn't pay his people shit. It's not that I hated Bamba. I could see his point of view Castro's dispatchers and cashiers make shit plus what they can squeeze out of the drivers. 
   "The amount of time a driver waits to go to work (or if he goes to work at all) and the quality of the car is up to the dispatcher.  So Einstein would sweat me, and I wouldn't frick frackin' bend so I would just sit there. And wait. 
   "If I would have given him the frick frackin' ten bucks he'd have got me out pretty quick in a decent car or at least half decent.  I really don't have to give gawdam anything because Castro has this rule that any driver that's a veteran gets to work no matter what and Castro is the boss. I happen to be a veteran, it says so on my driver's license. 
   "Einstein Sagan Bamba is the night dispatcher at Pleasant Avenue Taxi and we had this little thing going on. 
   "So when I heard Bamba call my name so early I was wondering why. When I got to the window he told me to come into the office and buzzed me in. He told me a guy from the Las Vegas Coroner's Office wanted to talk to me and  handed me the phone. 
   "Not that I hate cops. They're the thin blue line and shit but I don't like talking to them. I could tell you why but I'll put it this way: I don't like talking to cops and I don't like giving them information. Far as I'm concerned someone from the coroner's office is a frick frackin' paddy whackin' cop. 
    "Okay, so the guy tells me his name and that he works at the Las Vegas coroner's office. 
    "Now I want information from him. I know that Louie must be dead or I wouldn't be on the phone with this fucker. I'm going to be asking him some questions and I'm not going to tell him much of a any frickin'  thing about Louie. One thing that I wanted to know was did Louie dig up the million dollars he told me he had hidden underneath the boardwalk in Coney Island. 
   "So he tells me they found my name on some papers in Louie Xhaxaka's room that had my name on it and that he had to write a report about Louie so they could figure out what happened, about why he mighta hanged himself. 
   "Einstein named Louie Albanian Louie because no one can pronounce Louie's last name. 
   "So the coroner guy says to me they want to know some things. Was Louie a gambler? Now I could tell you the truth between you and me is that I don't think Louie was a gambler. So I told him I don't think Louie was a gambler, he used to laugh at me when I bought lottery tickets. 
   "Louie had this friend who was a gambler. (I'm not telling this to the cop, I'm telling this to you.) Julius somebody or other. I forget his name. Julius used to work at the garage here. He never said anything to anyone without saying "so so and so has been since Flip was Geraldine". He used to drive days. Now he was a reckless gambler and you would think that what happened to Louie woulda happened to him but it didn't. It happened to Louie. He went out to drive a taxi in Las Vegas - not Louie, Julius What's His Name. And he told Louie that there was a lot of money in being a security guard in construction if he could get a gun carry permit because there's a lot of construction going on. Since Louie couldn't drive anymore Louie went out to Las Vegas and got a room in the same hotel that Julius did. (I'm telling this to you not to the guy from the coroner's office.) I had told Louie that I didn't think he could get the pistol permit with his record and he answered me "I got a frickin' hack license, didn't I?" "The guy from the coroner's office asked me if I ever visited Louie out there in Las Vegas and I said no which is the truth between you and me and him. So he says to me 'so you don't know what kind of place he was staying in do you?' 
   "I says to him the truth that as far as I know it was a nice place. He told me ``No, it's kind of a fleabag .' 
   "Now like they say: 'one man's meat is another man's poison'. One man's fleabag hotel is another guy's pretty nice place. 
    "Between you and me Louie had told me they got a swimming pool there and there's all these hot chicks hanging out by the pool and that the rooms are nice, that it's all air conditioned. Louie told me this in a letter. In the letter Louie told me he's doing good but the guy from the coroner's office said to me that Louie didn't have a frickin' job and that the room was filled with empty beer cans all over the place. 
    "Then he asked me if I know what happened to Louie's eye and I'll tell you but I won't tell him that Louie got punched in the eye with a pinky ring or brass knuckles or something by some assshole who probably thought that Louie was gay. Louie's not gay and he wasn't ever gay. In fact Louie had a pretty hot girlfriend, that waitress as a matter of fact, but then he left after this shitt happened and he went out to Las Vegas like I told you. 
    "Between you and me (I'm not telling any frick frackin' paddy whackin' cop this) but Louie was kind of a sleazy guy. I'm not God and I'm not a priest or a rabbi and I don't judge people but Louie used to tell me about how he would take these tourists on these long rides and shit like that. He used to like to work La Guardia, (which I don't understand given that he is an orange guy) and the hotels and he also used to like to cruise around Rockefeller Center looking for rubes is what he said. 
   "To tell the whole story I knew that he was in some porno movies, him with that ugly face only his mother could love, and that he also did some time out in Rahway,  about breaking and entry that he used to do in New Jersey when he got caught.
    "I'll get around to telling you about some of the stuff he used to be into that he told me about. 
    "He was a paranoid kind of guy. 
    "Once Louie told me that he had almost a million dollars buried somewhere in Coney Freakin' Island fawgawdssakes but that he was scared to go get it because he thought the mafia was always watching him. Also the City had the cave entrance closed off with boulders after he buried the money, and I could not follow what this had to do with a frick frackin' cave but sometimes Louie's mind wanders. From what he told me about it maybe the mafia was keeping tabs on Louie. Now I'm telling you this not this frickin cop from the coroner's office."  

Trump continued dictating his monologue. I asked him to wait while I take a leak. When I came back this blabbermouth taxi driver picked right up where he had left off. He didn't skip a beat. I really can't take the smoke. 

   "Another thing (since this is between you and me) one night probably my last passenger that night left a bag with a few boxes of Oxycontin in it. We used to have this arrangement. I would finish my shift at 4 in the morning and go to the corner of 74th Street and Broadway in front of the Korean Deli a couple of doors up from Candle which was a famous gay bar. It was in the movie ``Six Degrees of Separation."

 (I have to go see that flick one day.) 

   "This is where he got punched in the eye by the way when I didn't show up and he was waiting for me. Our deal was that I pick him up at four in the morning on that corner, that we drive to the garage and he drives me home which at the time was a furnished room in the East Village. 
    "Anyhow Louie said 'let me take the Oxycontin. I could sell it.' You see Louie's favorite cousin lives out on the South Shore of Staten Island, Louie says his favorite orange rapper JoJo Pelligrino calls it the Paradise Slum. It's filled with successful criminals like Louie's cousin, who sells pills. 
    "Then I drove us over to the garage where I settle my lease and he gets his trip card and I give him the keys. 
    "When I took the car from Louie that afternoon he told me that he made four hundred dollars from the Oxycontin and my share was a hundred dollars. Since he took the risks in getting rid of the Oxycontin and lost time going out to Staten Island doing it I thought that was fair enough. Besides who wants to get into a fight in the garage over getting money from selling drugs? That would be plain stupid wouldn't it?" 

Almost as stupid as telling me about it. 

   "Let me tell you how come Louie got punched in the eye." 

Donald, you mean I have a choice in this? 

   "Donald, I have to ask a favor. Please put out that cigarette." 
   "Okay, here. I put it out for you. 
   "It's partly my fault I guess but not really.
   "About one that morning I was empty and I was going up on Irving Place, which is a very small avenue which is really like Lexington Avenue below Gramercy Park but it only goes like six blocks where it dead ends at 14th Street.
  "I got t boned  by this guy who had knocked back a couple of drinks, no license on him and  driving a car that had Massachusetts plates. I didn't get hurt and he didn't get hurt. Turns out he's a French Canadian guy and the car belongs to somebody who's in the state senate up in Bay Colony. I wasn't mad because this shit happens. I went to a phone booth and called 911 but the cops took forever. I also called the garage to get a tow truck and that took a long time more than the cop. So the cop does the paperwork. He doesn't arrest the guy.  I guess he wanted to get home fast (maybe had a hot date or something.) 
   "Anyway when I called the dispatcher to tell him the car  got fucked up I guess I was a little worked up and I didn't ask him to call Louie.  At that time Louie did not want me to have his phone number and he did not want me to know exactly where he lived either. That actually made sense and I'll explain it to you. 
   "Taxi drivers are always chiseling each other.  In that sense we are pretty much a bunch of scumbags" 

I've started noticing that.

   "Louie figured or I should say he knew that if I had his phone number I would work past four and call him and tell him I was coming late to pick him up late. So we chose this corner which was really just a couple blocks from the Belmar Hotel which is where Louie was staying. We weren't living up at McGillicutty's anymore cuz old man McGillicutty died and his sons took the house and told us we had to get out of there. So I found a furnished room in the East Village. It was a big apartment that was still rent controlled and the guy was paying like $150 a month which even then was dirt cheap and that's what he charged me for the room $150 and even then that was dirt cheap. But Louie wouldn't tell me where he was living. All I knew it was somewhere near 74th and Broadway.  So needless to say I was not showing up at four o'clock and also needless to say, Louie was there on that corner. 
   "So four o'clock came and four o'clock went. 
   "So anyhow Candle Bar closes at four which is last call for alcohol in New York. The gay caballeros come out of there and some of them loiter on that corner and some of them go into the Korean Deli to get coffee or whatever. So Louie is standing in the middle of this crowd of caballeros when all of a sudden this car pulls up and a guy jumps out of the car and pops Louie in the left eye, gets in the car and the car jets away 1 2 3 bing bang bing.
   "I didn't find this out until after a couple of days because the next day I went to work like always but someone else not Louie was driving our car. Buddhist  Bob told me gornisht, nada, gatz. So I asked that blood-sucking motherfucker 'what happened? Did Louie call the garage and say he couldn't come in?' Buddhist Bob said he didn't know and that I should ask Kevin when I come in. Two bloodsuckinmotherfuckers."

Though it was the first time Michele had ever met this Mira, he found her astonishingly…trustworthy. It was not like he had a crush on her, but meeting an old friend he had known for years who he could tell anything to. After a few drinks, he already spilled everything on his mind, and it felt…surprisingly good, to lash out all the emotions that he had to suppress in front of everyone.

"I guess it is the sad fact of human society. You create rules to civilize yourselves and become the slaves of them." After listening to all the drunk complaints of Michele, Mira smiled in sympathy and made a comment.

Which made Michele laughed: "You are saying this as if you are not human."

Mira skipped the question without admitting or denying it, simply stood up and paid for the drink, then said: "Come with me, I want to show you something."

And it worked like magic, that Michele really just followed Mira into her car, who he hadn't known for more than two hours, letting her take him wherever she wanted to take him. Now as he woke up from the effects of alcohol, Michele started to slightly regret his decision, but Mira kept herself away from him at a proper distance, and she didn't seem to drug him or threaten him with any force, so that kept him less panicked.

The other reason that he didn't jump out of this vehicle right away, was the destination of their little trip—a seemingly ordinary bungalow by the sea, but Michele knew what this place was: the "pleasure house" of Paulo Bellini. Through the French window of that house even from afar, Michele could see how Paulo and his buddies were "partying" with a bunch of good-time girls wearing cheap teasing costumes, and to even make him more agitated, the driver of Mira's car turned on the radio and had him hear what those men were talking about in the room:

"You are fucking crazy doing this, Paulo, you are marrying the Napolitano girl next month and you are still fucking other women! Wait until their boss find this out…"

"It's fine, Franco understands that I need to extra enjoy my life before I go to the prison of marriage…"

"Prison? Fuck that, your wife is la gioiella della corona di Napoli!"

"I'm happy to die if I get to be in your prison for just one day…Wait, did that Napolitano boy touch her yet?"

"Nah I get to pop the cherry. Tsk, that Michele is like some kid who lives in the fairytale. Poor old Franco, don't know who he's going to get his son back on the track…"

Michele was about to dash out of the car, but held down by Mira immediately—and somehow, he just forgot about how weird it was for Mira to tap on Paulo and deliberately take him here to witness everything, maybe out of the pure rage on his mind…or something else. But what he could remember, firmly as if it was carved in his bones, was the conversation that happened next.

"Calm down, there's no benefit you could achieve by breaking in and being beaten." Mira grabbed his arm and said.

"I can't believe papa sold Olivia to a…bastard like this…"

"Then it's you who should step up and protect her!" Mira looked right into Michele's eyes and convinced him, "You cannot rely on your padre, you know business always comes first for him."

Michele was startled by the notion Mira was planting in his head. His body began to quaver, as if resisting it out of instinct: "What…what do you mean…"

"There will be a ship to Marseille waiting for you and Olivia at the port tomorrow morning at 5 a.m., everything you need is in there, including the new credentials, cash and plane tickets to America, just be at the place in time…"

"But I can't just leave…"

"Think about it, Michele, this is maybe the only chance in your life to live a future that you want! Don't you see? New identities and you don't have to be responsible for anything from your bloodlines, you two can be free to realize your dream, build a family of your own, and by then you can return to your padre as a happy, independent man. He won't get mad at you by then—if you both are enjoying the life, why would he? Isn't that what he always wanted?" Mira painted a bright picture in his mind with a moving voice, "Think about it, Michele, this is your life, you should make the choice for yourself."

As they were talking, the car drove back into the Vomero Hills. Mira dropped Michele somewhere near the Napolitano mansion, leaving him wander his way home like a puppet possessed by a lost soul. Watching him blend into the night like a small drop into the ocean, the man wearing sunglasses on the driver seat sighed:

"It's so cold-hearted to manipulate a young boy like that, Mira, even for you."

Mira smiled, taking a bottle out of the drawer under the seat and poured out a glass of dense, red liquid: 

"Tutto è lecito…in amore e in guerra."

The sun rose just as usual, and Franco woke up immediately as the morning light shone into his bedroom. He lived a healthy life and cared for himself a lot after his wife died of illness, determined to be physically strong enough to care for the family, so he didn't look like a man that was in his 50s at all, and many much younger women were specially attracted to him, even though he had decided to remain widowed.

Just when he put up the sports clothes and got ready for his morning jogging, the housekeeper knocked on his door hurriedly, and the fright on his face really unnerved the old Franco.

"What's the matter?"

Franco asked the poor old man who had served him faithfully all these years, but the housekeeper was simply too shocked to even speak proper words, merely pointing at the direction of Michele and Olivia's rooms, and when Franco walked there and looked inside, he immediately realized what happened.

Both rooms were empty.

As for the young people who ran away, the consequences of their action didn't concern them—Michele totally forgot about his encounter with Mira and thought it was his own idea, while Olivia was just too thrilled about the new life with Michele to worry anything. Youth and love blinded everything and added a filter to their sight.

So they travelled far, far away across the Atlantic to the United States, arrived at the famous New York city and settled down in la Piccola Italia in Lower Manhattan. They rented a small flat on Mulberry Street, got acquainted with the neighbors and began searching for a way to earn an honest living, just like every young immigrant in the neighborhood. A month after they moved in, la Festa di San Gennaro started, and they even received the donations from people of good heart while having a crazy, great celebration. Olivia tasted beer for the first time in her life.

Then Michele found a job working in one of those theatres in Lincoln Center, and Olivia also started trying to sell her paintings to some small galleries. What Michele did was mainly chores like setting the stage and cleaning the props, but occasionally when needed he still got to sing some parts in the shows, and sometimes he even received appreciation from the audience.

"I met a very rich couple who watched our show today—Mr. and Mrs. LaCroix, I think they are called." Michele was cooking Gnocchi in the kitchen and sharing this news with Olivia, "They said my performance was excellent, too classic for Broadway shows. I even got their business card, they say they might need people like me in the opera house they are building right now…"

"And I have good news for you, too."

Olivia walked close, waving an invoice like an exciting child—it was from the gallery. She just sold her first painting.

Life would be perfect if it just kept on going like this, even though it was tough. But Michele hardly saw any progress in his career, while Olivia's paintings hadn't sold even one more ever since; the refreshing feeling of living in a new country wore out pretty soon, whereas the tiredness about their poverty and repeating frustrations was growing with each passing day. 

It was not what Olivia expected at all when she ran away with Michele. She was the center of the universe at home, and even she was just out to take a walk there would suitors following behind, calling her bella. But here she was no one but a normal housewife who had to do the dirty housework that used to get done by servants, and her beauty was more of a trouble than a blessing, not to mention it was slowly diminishing because lack of care: she got lewd teases from men on streets, and sometimes the gallery owners would even indicate that she could have some chances by making…dirty deals.

And this dream-like blueprint of freedom and future they had in mind started to fall apart. Complaints filled the room, and there were quarrels about almost every aspect in their life, either Olivia bought luxuries and overspent the money on clothes or accessories, or Michele failed to get promoted because he was simply too proud to learn the "popular way" of performing. Love faded away pretty easily, when they had debts to repay and things broken here and there in the house.

Until one day Michele got back home from work, he was greeted by a hit from behind and knocked out into unconsciousness—the Bellinis found him…or to be precise, Olivia led them to find him.

Everybody in the company knows who Samantha Zhou is. She's the beautiful princess of the known Zhou family who just came back succesfully from New York. When she got to the top floor of the company, where her father's office is, his secretary immediately and politely accompanied her to his door. She knocked once and stated her name and a voice full of glee replied to let his daugther in.

As soon as she took a step inside the room, a warm hug enveloped her and a sweet perfume envaded her nose. Her mom encircled her arms around her tight, as if silently consoling her.

"My baby. I was about to go to your house cause I heard you fainted again" Her mother said after hugging her for a few minutes.

"Mom, you might crush samantha with your hugs" her brother who stood up after seeing her said.

"Sebastian, if you don't want to be the receiver of the same hug, you better shut up." her mom replied, however despite his brother calling out her mom for giving samantha a tight hug, he then went close to her and did the same thing. In which obviously shocked the current samantha cause this is her first time seeing this man and as her brother, the beauty genes is flowing on his veins too so to be suddenly hugged by a beautiful man made her heart beat fast.

"Bub, are you alright?" he whispered in her ears with great concern. His voice sound so worried. His arms is full of warmth that made her estatic heart to calm down. She traveled her eyes across the room and saw her mom who is looking at her with love and also a man who is probably her dad who is also staring at her intently with great concern for her well being.

'Ahhh, this is the family of Samantha Zhou. The ones who sacrificed their everything just to make her happy.'

For once since her take over in this life, she felt relieved. The stress from all the things that happened to her all at once poured out and the brave mask that she's been wearing all this time crumpled. She became fragile, yet safe.

'What a real fool you are samantha' She thought as she smiled and returned her brother's hug.

"Hmm, I'll be alright" she replied.

Samantha woke up in the body of the cruel antagonist from the famous novel she was reading, 'Call My Name and I Won't Let Go'.

Samantha Zhou, who happens to have the same name as hers is a spoiled and rotten brat who was engaged to the main lead, Jonathan, but selfishly left to pursue her dreams in New York. When Samantha returned to China and found out that Jonathan has a new beau, she did everything in her power to force the man to marry her. This made everyone who reads the novel despise her and call her names, but this Samantha had a cruel ending and now is the current Samantha's future. 

At first, she wasn't so scared of the ending of the original Samantha. In her defense, she can always just change into a good person and everything would be settled.

Let the main lead and female lead have their happy ending, go back to New York and then live the life of luxuries and fame that the original Samantha had. 

She thought her worry-free life can be fixed and lived that easily, but oh boy was she so wrong. 

Everything went downhill when Samantha realized that she can control all of the original Samantha's everything, except for her... emotions.

For some, it's their wedding day, for some it's their first date, for some it might be the day she gave birth, etc. She makes preparations for that day from days to weeks to a month before.

For Asuna, she thought, that particular day in her life was coming soon.

It had all started when Alex won the competition. He won the concert ticket but didn't actually know what to do with them.

'Hmm… What should I do with them? I did say that I would take Asuna to the concert, but I only said it to tease Hikaru, Hmmm… Maybe I'll give these to Yuuto to take someone out.'

Alex was in the middle of mulling over what he should do with the tickets.

'Maybe I can give them to Takumi to take his new girlfriend out on a date.'

Although the tickets could be used to take your best friend to the concert. But the first thought which came to most of those adolescent students after hearing that they were TWO tickets is that they have the chance to take their girlfriend/boyfriend to the concert.

The ticket was also could have been used to ask someone out in order to start a relationship.

Asuna was no exception, seeing Alex won the ticket, she thought this was her chance to strengthen her bond with Alex. But her timidness and shyness were blocking the way.

Nevertheless, through sheer determination, she brought up enough courage to stand in front of Alex. Although her legs were trembling and her voice was stuttering, she said,

'Co-congratulations, A-A-Alex on win-winning the com-competition.'

'Thanks, Asuna, but the truth is I just got lucky.'

Asuna's heart was beating so loud, she feared that even Alex could hear it, she was blushing red as she asked,

'W-What are you go-going to do with th-them?'

'I was just thinking about that, I was thinking of giving them to someone.'

Asuna's stamina was running out, she thought she would faint on the spot. But Alex talked like he always did, *not noticing the goddamn signs of her.*

'Wait, Asuna, do you want to go to the concert?'

There it was, the invitation. To Asuna was the same as Alex was saying,

'Asuna, will you marry me?'

It was a question that Asuna had yearned for, her entire body was screaming YES as she said with a low, barely audible voice.

'…Yes'

'Great, here you go.'

It was like a divine gift as Alex was taking out the ticket and giving it to her, Asuna held out both her hands to receive it, but to her bewilderment, she got both of the tickets as Alex walked away.

'Huh?'

'You can take one of your friends there, I am sure it will be lots of fun.'

*Why the hell are main characters so damn DENSE.* When Alex asked Asuna, "Do you want to go?"

He was leaving himself out of the equation. To Asuna, the shock was equivalent to the pain as if she was kicked in the groin. A pain only boys/men know.

She didn't know what to do. But her body won't let this happen.

As if her body was possessed, it moved on its own and grabbed Alex's shoulder. Asuna didn't realize what she was doing until Alex turned around and asked,

'Is something wrong, Asuna?'

It was now or never for Asuna, she mustered up all her strength to ask this,

'A-Alex, you're my friend too, w-would you go w-with me to the concert?'

Seriously this was asking too much from an introvert as she pushed her boundaries to go beyond.

'Hmm, sure.'

She handed Alex one of the tickets, both of them then walked home. For Alex, this was another ordinary day. For Asuna, this day was so exhausting that as soon as she arrived home, she went to bed.

The day finally arrived. The concert was to be held in the evening. Asuna spent all her time preparing for the show until then.

Asuna prepared for this day, taking into account every small detail. She wished Alex would come to her apartment and personally pick her up, but that was her just wanting too much.

Alex and Asuna were to meet at a mutually agreed time and place, where Asuna had arrived two hours earlier than the designated time. *Why? I seriously have no idea.*

Winter was in full swing, but it had yet to snow. Still, there was a chill in the air. Everyone had worn a coat or at least a jacket, except Asuna.

Asuna wore a formal marine blue attire, earrings to go with her dress, an amethyst pendant that complemented her eyes, black stocking, which went up to her thighs and red heels.

She wore a sleeveless a-type gown that exposed her body to the cold, and all that she used to shelter her body from the weather was a slim jacket.

The jacket was barely sufficient, and she kept shivering in the cold.

She waited for Alex there as Alex arrived 5 minutes later than the decided time in his casual clothes compared to Asuna, who dressed as this was the most momentous day in her life.
