Itika was in the airport lobby, standing in queue for a water cooler when her mother shouted her name from her seat roughly twenty steps away. She looked at her with a soft smile; her mother had put a hand on the unoccupied seat next to her, hoping to show other passengers that the seat was taken. Her brother had sprawled onto another chair and fallen asleep right after their check-in was done, which was more than an hour ago. 

Itika shook her head in humor seeing her mother all worked up at showing people the chair in the middle was taken. 

She grabbed two glasses of cool drinking water and slowly walked toward her. 'You need to calm yourself, Mom. This isn't India. People aren't gonna fight with you if you simply tell them you've saved a seat.' Itika said warmly. 

'I don't know Tika. We are here for four hours before our flight departs. We can't take risks with our seats. People were eying this one when you had got up.' Mrs. Jones said worriedly. 

Itika let out a thin laugh. 'Okay. Try to take a nap. We are gonna be here for a long time.' Itika gave her mom the glass of water and an insulin capsule she had taken out of a small box in her purse. 'I'll let you know if they make any important announcements.' 

'Ah.. You worry so much Tika. Always taking care of us. What will I do when you're gone?' Mrs. Jones asked in a light but sad voice. 

'There's a lot of time before I leave you.' Itika pulled her mother's left cheek in adoration and asked her again to try and catch some sleep.

She had planned to read Murakami while waiting for her flight to India. She pulled out her cellphone from her bag and quickly read through all the unimportant messages that she hadn't replied to before. Some were from her friends and relatives who had only one common question to ask: How did it go with the commercial? 

Itika didn't mind telling everyone that the project hadn't followed through. She was replaced, and she was okay with it. But she wanted to wait until she had returned home and let them know all together. It was much simpler this way. 

She saw a message from an unknown number that said nothing more than a 'Hi.' Itika had seen it before, but had shrugged it off for later. Now when she was utterly free, she clicked on the number to see its profile. It said it belonged to some S. Rayo. Itika could guess only one person that went with those initials, but scratched away that thought because there was no way he was texting her. She assumed it was a prank, but to be sure Itika replied with a 'Hello' and immediately went back to her home screen and opened an eBook copy of Murakami's The Wind-up Bird Chronicle. 

A notification clouded her screen right within a few lines she had managed to read. 

'I'm Shawn.' 

Itika replied back, 'Shawn who?' 

She wanted to ask the stranger to confirm his identity, but her mood didn't want her to get into any chatting. She decided she would reply later to whatever the person was going to say.

Thirty seconds later she got a video notification on top of her phone screen. 

Itika clicked right away. 

There was a video of Shawn in a peach Shirt in what looked like a living room. Shawn had recorded himself saying, 'Hi Itika, I'm Shawn Rayo.' 

Itika had no doubt anymore that the person she was chatting with indeed was Shawn. She hadn't noticed before how beautiful he was. And the peach of his shirt had done its best work to highlight his handsomely sharp face. 

Itika wondered what purpose he had to contact her the same day she was let off a big contract and was asked to blame Shawn Rayo for it. She was curious about what he had done, but not enough to enquire. 

'Hey, Shawn.' Itika replied, not knowing what to say next. 

S: I just wanted to tell you that I am sorry about accidentally getting you fired. I really didn't know they were that serious when they said I wasn't supposed to talk about the project with anyone :)

I: Accidentally? 

Itika wasn't thrilled with the word 'fired'. How could she be fired from a job that had never begun? 

S: Yeah! Shit happens, I guess.

I: Explain, if you don't mind. 

S: I was having a conversation with some girls and may have shared too much with them. I don't remember well. I was drunk :(

Itika wasn't sad about losing her chance, but knowing it had happened because a spoilt star couldn't hold his alcoholic tongue had mildly angered her.

Itika wasn't sure. She thought about the offer. A music video was going to be a far better option than a 15 second appearance on a commercial. But, she didn't want to risk being clobbered again. She wanted to wake her mother and ask her what she should do. She knew her mother was going to jump at the idea and nudge her to say yes. 

She looked to her right. Her younger brother was sound asleep. If Itika had to stay in the US for another few days, it had to be without her family. They had things to deal with back in India. Itika couldn't ask them to cancel their tickets for her. She thought it would be better if her mother was not with her if she ever made it to the shooting set. Mrs. Jones had a tendency to get overly involved in Itika's work and distract her. She loved her mother dearly but if she had to concentrate freely, Itika preferred being alone. It was good for her creativity. 

Itika poked her brother's left shoulder with the corner of her phone. Ronnie stirred in his chair and slowly opened his eyes. 

'Hmm.. Whaaat?' Ronnie said, as he lazily shifted in the cushioned chair. 

'Sorry Ron! But I have something important to say to you.' Itika whispered, easing Ronnie to get out of his sleep, and making sure he didn't fret. 

'Something important? Say! What's it Ti?' Ronnie said, looking around to find something to drink.

'Shawn Rayo wants to cast me in his next music video. Wants me to stay here for a few days.' Itika showed her conversation with Shawn to her brother. 

'Umm... You wanna do it? After what he did to you, do you trust him?' Ronnie rubbed his face with the palms of his hands to get rid of the sleep in his eyes. 

'I kinda want to. But I have to do it alone. You have to take mom home. She can't stay here. She has to be there for Varun's wedding.' 

'Okay. Sure. Ti! Look at you. Acting on impulse, huh? That's a nice color on you.' Ronnie smiled widely. He then got up and walked up to the water cooler. 

Itika glared at her mom; peacefully sleeping, oblivious to what was going on in her daughter's head. 

Itika leaned to her side and softly pecked her right cheek. Her mother was going to chide her when she woke up and found her only daughter wasn't around. But Itika would be far away into the city by then, and knew her mother will make her peace with it.

"Good morning, Aileen", Atticus leaned over the desk in the classroom, and stared at her back,"aren't you a tad bit early for work today." He said jumping over the desk. 

She stopped writing on the board and turned to see him, sitting on the desk. Puffing his chest out with the front three buttons open and rolled sleeves. Wearing a perfect white shirt which highlighted his five O clock shadow, and grey trousers, complimented by the Omega watch and mud brown brogues. She resisted the urge to roll her eyes on the way he carried himself like a student instead of a teacher and said, " Morning to you too Mr King. Just preparing the things before the class arrives. You know how students are these days, as soon as I turn my back, they start their stuff." She sighed. 

He chuckled, "You take things and the syllabus way too seriously." He checked her out when she was arranging her books on the desk beside him. Lemon yellow shirt and white floor length skirt with brown belt, chocolate brown hair tied in a neat ponytail, spotless face, rectangular glasses covering her eyes. He sighed internally, she could get to him just with that simplicity, but will never accept his offer. Why can't she be like the other women? Why cover every inch of that beautiful self she has? She can be as frustrating as beautiful, but no doubt the man who has her, is in for a super awesome blessing. 

"The kids do not realise, it's their parent's hard earned money they are spending on this college. I'm not surprised that you can't relate to this, being from a well to do family, but I can." She could feel his intense gaze on her, "and if you please will, get down from the desk. The class will start in the next 30 minutes from now and I need to prepare."

He tries his best to encourage the sorcerer to stay conscious. The burns on his back look very bad, and they sure hurt a lot. When he partially plunges Kitty into the stream, the strange foreigner opens his eyes, and stares at him with a beautiful smile.
 Kei is tempted to classify it as part of some delirium, but they lock eyes so deeply, until the injured man looked away, seeming to control the pain.
 Kei inhales, trying to ward off the weird sensation. That deep stare seemed so strange, because his gazed looked so happy, as if seeing someone one longs for. And Kei keeps thinking about it while providing basic first aid to Kitty. He hates it all, but still has enough empathy to do it for someone else. Besides, the weird shaman knows what was going on there, and letting him die just because Kei don't want to get contaminated wouldn't be clever at all.
"Thank you for coming back, Captain Sagahara."
Kei is embarrassed, not used to receiving such direct appreciation for his actions. 
"I will take him to the barracks, and call the shaman to heal you." Captain Sagahara takes Kitty and puts him on his shoulders, which is the most comfortable way for both of them. 
Kitty knows the military maneuver, and knows how delicate the captain tried to be, but can't have much opinion on it as he's just trying to control his pain.
While Sagahara is still crouching, placing Kitty the human on his shoulders, the magic cat jumps and tops Kitty the human before Kei rises. 
She starts her little 'purr engine' and starts healing her human. Today she made a wrong choice. She followed the leggy man, and her human almost died.

Sagahara Kei was struck by the shameless puss, piling onto them like and she was the empress; the sorcerer, her sedan, and Kei, her horse.
"Kitty you rascal, when will you learn to walk?"  Sagahara asks, not expecting any response, of course. And yes, he noticed every time the kitten used him as her ride. But the funny moment is soon forgotten, as Kei is concerned that Kitty the sorcerer will not survive if he's left to natural healing only.
It is another important decision Kei must take. 
He knows he can fight an army without fear, but supernatural things have always filled Kei with dread.  
Kei from an early age has terrifying dreams involving sorcery, battles and monsters that he faced, but always lost to. As much as he fought, it was the sorcerers who won on the last end. He was the one who died. It was recurring nightmare for him.
 Fighting by the side of and protecting a sorcerer now is kind of tragicomic for Kei, who had always avoided them, most of his life.
 He even avoided the shamaness of the temple, which the village people sought after relief for their ills. Although he had heard that she was beautiful and kind, he wanted nothing to do with the supernatural. 
Not that he had been in this village, Hanamemura, for a long time, he wasn't. It was only half a season ago that the intrepid warrior had been there.
 And Kei refuse to accept the supernatural that hung over everything in this place. Being there was the materialization of his most secret nightmares.
 Kei needed help, just had no one to count on. He was transferred from his former post to Hanamemura in place of the former captain, who died last winter. His predecessor was also a new officer, with only a year of lease there. And Kei was very surprised that none of the subordinates ever mentioned him in their stories. Even when Kei asked about the circumstances, they were vague, saying only what was already written in the reports.
The soldiers there were more mature men, accommodated and even with bulging bellies. All married to women from this region and with their own houses near the barracks. So each one at the end of his shift returned to his own home. Apart from the servants, only Kei slept in the barracks, and there was his new home. Accustomed to a much better quality residence, Kei was very frustrated to be the commander of a small, crumbling barracks in a obscure village in the middle of nowhere. 
He wrote several letters to the superiors reporting the precarious state of the place, the insufficient ration to feed them, and the need to increase the number of soldiers in this unit. And in this, Kei was persistent. 
Each week he sent three letters: to his superior; to the provincial governor, and to the capital librarian chief, requesting books. This maneuver Kei had learned from his mother. The most powerful were always ordering books. Submissions were always carefully noted and records were made public. By doing so, she would know that he was well, and could send treats and letters to her son by the troops travelling near his outpost.
Definitely Kei put this little village back on the Jade Heavenly Throne Kingdom's maps.
Going against his natural instincts, Kei begins his journey straight to the place where the shamans live, by the end of the Dragon Tail's Ravine. He knows the temple would be closed at this time, so no use to go there. Right now in the barracks are only the men he hastily called to cover the absence of the soldiers who had abandoned their posts. But in these places there would be no one able to cure Kitty.
The shamans' residence is set back from the small town, and Kei makes the journey in record time carrying the two Kittys on his shoulders.
The city of Hanamemura is located on a plateau, surrounded by vast fields, called the Golden Plain. On the north side of the plateau, the terrain is fertile enough for rice paddies, but the region is largely rocky and arid. But at the top of the plateau is different.
 But the old shaman and his apprentices live at the end of the western part of the platea. The only way to get there is descending and going through a rocky path, once a creek surrounded by ravines, and ending in a rugged and dangerous slope. There, perched like a stubborn mountain goat, stands the old estate for every shaman who had lived in Hanamemura since the beginning of time, as Kei had imagined.
Kei knows where it is because he had come close to investigate. It was in the reports of the death of the captain who he came to replace. And suspiciously it was in this ravine on the way to the shaman's house where the military man had the accident on horseback and broke his neck. 
Kei carefully starts to go uphill, the house now visible from the bottom of the ravine. 
An imposing place in the past, large and rich in architecture. Today it was aged and without maintenance. Decay is the definition that comes to his mind when looking at the shamans' home. 
The temple leader lives there, a very tall and severe shaman who frights everyone in the village. Kei knows people avoids the temple when he's there.
 Also he expects to find the young woman of rare beauty, as they say, who everyone resorts to solve their problems. And finally a small 7-8 years old little boy, who is always with her. Not the woman's son, Kei knew, for the young woman was too young for that. A little brother maybe, Kei thought. Today is the first time Kei is about to see her closely.
He smiles at the thought and scolds himself. He was carrying a battle mate on his shoulders and instead of worrying he is thinking bullshit. 
"Lord shaman! It's Captain Sagahara Kei!" Kei shouts after ringing the massive bell in front of the gate, warning residents that he is at their door.
Kei heard the curses that could only be from the old shaman, coming from within for being disturbed in his rest. The door opens brutally and is accompanied by a loud:
"Why are you waking up the dead, young man?!" But the shaman gets silent as he sees the man on Kei's shoulders, or so Kei thinks. He bows deeply and shouts for Natsuki to come to his aid.
The shaman reaches out to relieve Kei of his burden, taking Kitty too carefully. Above him was Kitty the cat, awake and purring like a small engine. The shaman leads them into the house and tells Kei to wait in the porch.

Kei listens to the shaman's orders to the young woman he now learns to be Natsuki, an exotic name indeed.
Kei notices a sneaky movement trying to approach from behind, and turns at the last moment to frighten the little one who came to probe him. 
"BOOOOO!"
Kei really scares him, and the little boy stands with eyes and mouth open, dropping the mug he is carrying
"Oh, look what you did, Warrior-Sama! Now I will be punished by your fault!"
 The clay mug is now broken. The little boy is unhappy with what happened, but is really shameless too to dare question an adult.
Before Kei says anything, the boy was scolded by a melodious voice:
"Yojii!"

Kitty (yep, such a silly name) is a human guy with special blood that was adopted by a magic cat.
 The cat will take him wherever they are needed in the multiverse. Solve mysteries and save the day is always a problem for the young detective, but pure fun for the cat.
This Halloween night it will be the same, except that Kitty will find someone that will put on stake his faithful love for K. waiting at home!

Okay so the Illustration is complete I updated the book cover on royalroad.com scribblehub.com and webnovel.com, I've also updated the synopsis to what is going to be on A m a z o n.
The illustrator delivered the illustration to me around 3 or 4 hours ago., so it was completed fairly recently.
It took me mmmm 7 or 8 tries maybe 9 before I was finally able to get kdp amazon to accept the illustration. I tried 6 or 7 times of those to get it to accept the pdf. In the end, it did not accept the pdf book cover, but I was able to make a workaround and submit the image through the cover creator by uploading the image and delete all text projected over the illustration by the cover creator and wallah only took a 2nd try to get it done after that.
This was for the paperback version mind you, no problems with the ebook on that front. Keep in mind I was just about to go too sleep when the illustrator contacted me and I only recently reverse my schedule back to somewhat normal. It was then that this whole fiasco started.
Now then, the ebook has passed review and is currently publishing which means their setting it up on their sites and apps for amazon, kindle and their various national variations.
The paperback is in review. Both the ebook and paperback should be released around or within 72 hours from what I've been told. I will also get an email when the ebook is published and maybe when the paperback is published not sure.
Next, I noticed when I was reposting the amazon version of the synopsis that the paperback's synopsis was lacking any spaces between sentences which is indeed an issue.
Now I would go ahead and edit the ebook and paperback just so they're more professional, but I tried that, it won't let me edit it right now and the button to do so are greyed out.
That said I do want to edit the synopsis of the two books so they're not a mess but I will have to wait, if they even allow editing of them after they've been published anymore. I know they used too.
I may or may not release another update when they've been published and or edited but for now you seem to have all the information and anymore may just be overbearing.
Also the paperback minimum price was 42 something odd dollars with no royalties, so I raised the price of the paperback to 50 dollars USD so that I can even make a profit off royalties, even with that each purchase of the paperback only gives me 4.25 dollars. The cost of printing is 25 something odd dollars per book, I guess amazon gets the rest and or put it into shipping costs???? Crazy right?
Anyway that's it have a wonderful night or day and I hope you buy a copy.

"Yeah, sorry. I only know like 5 people at this school."
 
"And I even know your name, Futari!"
 
"Well to be fair, I was on tv yesterday." She growled a little bit in annoyance. Futari continued speaking. "Uh, anyhow. I am not really sure how your quirk works; whether or not you can see yourself but I think you have a decent sized wound or several on your body that probably happened sometime yesterday. I can smell the blood and scar tissue. Are you okay?"
 
"Y-yes! I was home yesterday and I, uh, fell down my stairs. It hurt a lot but I'm ok!"
 
Futari wanted to roll his eyes so bad. The good old "I fell down some stairs" lie, huh? Why is she lying about her injuries? Futari wondered. "No need to be tough for no reason. You should go see Recovery Girl and get those injuries checked out."
 
"Uh, Yeah. I will after lunch. Thanks, Fu!"
 
"Fu? No. No. No. No. No, and… no."
 
"I think it's a cute nickname."
 
"I disagree. It sounds like a peanut butter brand." 
 
She started laughing as she continued down the hallway saying "see you later!"
 
"Bye!" Don't think I don't know your lying about those injuries. That's highly suspicious. Futari thought to himself as she walked away quickly. He started walking down the hallway to Class 1A's homeroom. He opened the door. The class looked worn and beat down from their combat training. Deku looked and saw Futari carrying Eri with a huge smile on her face. It made him smile too. Futari put Eri down on the floor. "I won't forget about your caramel apple young lady." 
 
She hopped with her hands in the air. "Yay! Thank you, Tari"
 
One girl is calling me "Fu" and now a younger one is calling me "Tari." Is a two syllable name that hard to pronounce?! Futari thought to himself with a fake smile. "Yeah no problem, Eri." Eri ran to Aizawa grabbing his hand to hold it. Futari and Aizawa looked at each other. "These students look like you put them in a sweatshop Aizawa"
 
Aizawa smiled a bit sadistically. "That is what the aftermath of good training looks like."
 
"Tsk. You enjoy beating up teens a bit too much."
 
"What do you mean?" Aizawa said still smiling.
 
"Do I have anything else to do?"
 
"No. Just hang out for the rest of the day and follow me around."
 
"Yes!" Futari pulled out his phone seeing that he missed a bunch of calls from reporters. He then opened up an ebook called"World's Deadliest Mammals" on his phone and began reading. At lunch, he sat at a table by himself still reading his eBook while eating a salad. Deku wanted to approach him and invite him to their table but he wasn't really sure how to do so. He didn't seem lonely but rather focused on what he was reading. By the end of the day, all the students went back to their dorms and Futari was sitting in Aizawa's office waiting for his dad. "Aizawa, what's my dad even here doing here? I haven't seen him all day.
 
Aizawa was grading papers. "Yes, he was. Don't worry about what he's doing right now. I might tell you what's going on soon but not here and not yet."
 
"Why?"
 
"Recall the saying that the walls have eyes and ears?"
 
"Should have been the English teacher instead of the homeroom one."
 
"Shut up."
 
Suddenly Futari thought about his interaction with Toru earlier. "Aizawa, what can you tell me about Toru?"
 
"Eeeeh? You are not dating her. I won't allow it"
 
"You really think that's the reason I'm asking? I can't even see her face and physical attraction is pretty damn important for a relationship don't you think?"
 
Aizawa wanted to laugh at that comment but he maintained his composure. "She is the student with the most absences in the class. Even after we moved all students to dorms, her father still calls her out of class often. It happened just yesterday actually."
 
"Hm. Okay." Should I tell him about the blood and muscle tissue? Hm… No, I'm sure Aizawa knows what's happening with his students. Honestly, she's probably just on her period and it probably started yesterday night, Futari thought to himself. Futari stood up. "Alright, I guess I'll be back tomorrow."
 
Aizawa looked up at Futari. "Oh, you will be."
 
Greaaat. Futari moaned to himself. Futari began his walk back home. A convenient thing about this situation is that UA is in the same city as his home. Futari got back home in about 25 minutes and walked into his house. Shukuchi wasn't there. There was a note on the fridge. "I returned at 1 pm but I have some ability assessments today. Will be back around 8 or so. Don't do anything dumb." I have to train anyway. Futari ate a snack and drank a few cups of water before walking back out to the outskirts of the city. The outskirts of the city had a forest of trees where Futari always opted to train in. He knew of a clearing about 15 minutes into the forest that he liked to train in. Today, he wanted to focus on honing his senses by meditating and focusing on his surrounds. Futari sat in the middle of the clearing, legs crossed, eyes opened. He began to think about what his senses detected. The birds are flying back to their nests, getting ready to sleep probably. My mouth tastes like the blueberries I ate earlier. The grass feels rough and somewhat sharp. It smells like flowers. I can hear wind blowing, birds chirping, and cicadas yelling. "Veins," Futari whispered. The black veins consumed his body. I can see each flap of the bird's wings and even some of their loose feathers. The taste of blueberries is now strong enough to almost make me think I am eating them right now. The grass is shaped like small arrows; some of the tips are poking at my skin and some are just lying against my leg. I can feel each individual pebble in the dirt on the side of my quad. I can smell so many individual flowers now. The Bush Clover, the Dianthus, the Bellflower and a few more. What's this other smell…human body odor? Not my own. Futari stood up slowly, remaining calm. I can hear the wind clashing against everything in my surroundings…. the tree trunks, the branches, the leaves, and… that empty space over there between the trees, or at least the seemingly empty space. Following the sound of the wind crashing into the person and the odor from this person, Futari approached the false empty space. "I know you are standing there, Toru." There was no answer. The only sound that could be heard was the Cicadas. She's about 5ft tall so..,. Futari thought as he quickly flicked her forehead.
 
"Ouch!" Toru mumbled.
 
"You have about 5 seconds to explain to me why you snuck out of campus and followed me home."
 
Why ARE you here, Toru? What are you doing here? Toru thought to herself. "I…I just wanted to see how you train because you are really strong."
 
A good liar…but still a liar. .Futari thought to himself frowning. "Why do you keep lying? What are you hiding?"
 
"I-I just…I'm sorry. I can't bring myself to say…" 
 
Can't bring herself to say? What? Does she like me or something? Nah, this feels more serious… judging by the tone of her voice she isn't it here to hurt me. Let me just change the subject. "Wait, when I saw you either, I could see your clothes. Why can't I see them now?"
 
"Oh. Well um…"
 
Haha… you can't be serious. Futari thought to himself chuckling a little bit. "Are you…Are you NAKED?!"
 
"…"
 
"So, you followed me home from school and watched me train while naked? Pervert."
 
"NO! I didn't want you to find me so I used one of my signatures moves 'Full Invisibility!'"
 
"Pfffffftttt. That's trash. You can't call that a signature move. You stripped! That's like me saying taking off my shoes is my ultimate form," Futari said with his arms folding.
 
"That's…not exactly a proper comparison." Toru retorted.
 
"You know what I mean," Futari fired back.
 
"So, what were you doing anyway?" 
 
"I was working on identifying things with my senses. As you can probably tell, the passive of my quirk allows me to have pinnacle senses and peak physical condition as long as I'm fit."
 
"One of the passives of your quirk? That sounds like a quirk in and of itself. I mean most people can't find me at all when I'm naked but you can find me easily."
 
"Well, that's because most people rely on sight. But I found you with my hearing and sense smell."
 
"Sense of smell?! Do I smell? Oh no!"
 
Futari couldn't even see here but he could tell she was probably holding her armpits. "Yes. Everyone has a natural smell. You don't smell bad. Calm down. I just recognized your scent because I smelt you earlier."
 
"So, like a dog?"
 
"Uh, yes. Exactly."
 
"So, then… what's your actual quirk?" She asked while leaning in.
 
Futari could tell she was leaning towards him because her voice got louder as she finished that sentence. "You can't tell me why you are here so I won't tell my quirk," Futari said while shrugging with a smug smile.
 
"That's not fair!" Invisible Girl whined clenching her fists.
 
"Actually, that's exactly fair. So are you going to put clothes on or…"
 
"I left without clothes."
 
"So, you are a pervert AND a nudist. The dynamic duo of disgusting." Futari said shaking his head.
 
"Stop it! I'm not either of those things!" She said in a high-pitched voice. There was silence. "Anyway, I'm going to head back before they inspect the dorms."
 
"Will you be okay? Do you need help sneaking back in? In fact, how does no one know you're gone?"
 
"Don't worry about any of that. I'm a professional sneaker! I'll see you tomorrow, Fu!"
 
"Stop calling me that."
 
"I think it's a cute nickname."
 
"It's really not."
 
She laughs a little bit then Futari hears her running away. Now that was extremely suspicious. She followed me home to watch me train…why? Creepy as shit but I felt no malice from her so was she just following because she has a crush on me or some other reason…hm, Futari wondered to himself as he went back to his meditation.
 
Toru was running as fast as she could ,taking any shortcut she could think of to get back to UA before the Dorm Inspection. She honestly had ample time to get back but all she could think to do is run. Tears were streaming down her face; tears invisible to the world around her. I couldn't tell him anything! Now, he probably thinks I'm a freak. But he's the only one who noticed anything about me…
 
About two hours went by when Futari finally got back home. It was around 8:30. Shukuchi, his dad, was finally home.
 
Shukuchi pinched his nose. "Yikes. You smell like dirt."
 
Futari looked at his dad calmly. "Well, two hours of meditation in a grass clearing will do that to you."
 
"How was your first day at UA?"
 
"Let's see…Aizawa beat me up and I babysat."
 
"Sounds about right. Take a shower. When you come downstairs I'll tell you what is going on."
 
"Ok." Futari ran upstairs and took a shower then changed into his pajama's. When he came back downstairs his dad had dinner ready for the both of them. Shukuchi had a very serious face something Futari hasn't seen often. Futari began to have a cold sweat.
 
Shukuchi cleared his throat and began by saying, "UA is the best hero school in Japan. This is a fact. No other school has produced as many top-notched heroes. It is also the most secure school in the country as well. The building itself is, essentially, a gorgeous bomb shelter with many, many strong pro heroes as teachers there. However, as you probably know from catching up on everything over the last year UA has been attacked multiple times by the League of Villians. Aizawa and his good friend Present Mic suspect that there is a traitor at UA that has leaked information about the school. They asked me over dinner yesterday to investigate this suspicion using my skills as the former head of the Espionage Unit in the Police Force which I'm not happy about. I quit the force for a reason but this is important to protect the students at UA and Aizawa is an old friend so I took the job. Much to everyone's dismay, it is true. UA has a traitor and this traitor would likely have a 5/5 or 6/5 in intelligence if I were to grade their abilities." Futari's eyes were wide open, shook to his core. His back met the backrest on his chair. "I didn't tell you because I wasn't sure if this traitor even existed. I have you at the school not only to learn that hero society isn't as corrupt as you might think but also so you can help investigate some of the students. I haven't narrowed down who the traitor is but it could very well be a student so if you meet anyone suspicious let me know. Futari's cold sweat got worse. Even the students could be the traitor? Would it be... Toru?... Should I tell him about my interaction with her today? No. Let me wait. I need to make sure the evidence is conclusive because honestly, it sounds more like she's in pain, Futari thought to himself.

This is a fictional story within My Hero Academia following an original character named Futari Taikyu. There will be characters that are in the manga present in this story. This story takes place sometime after chapter 191 in the manga so beware of spoilers. I, also, took some liberties using my own headcanon for some characters backstories since, as of the time of writing this, some characters backstories have not been revealed. This is my first attempt at fan fiction. There's quite a bit of mystery surrounding my character but it will all be answered as you read. I hope you enjoy!

The next morning, it was a Saturday so there father had stayed at home. 

They had a plan to go out as a family; of course this idea was introduced by the mother. The father was very pleased with Maria, a peaceful family was what he needed after all the chaos. 

He just wanted a peaceful family after receiving money and power. 

They were planning to go out to have brunch and go sightseeing; parks or random monuments.

It sounded like a peaceful family day out, but behind the scenes, there was a war. Athena had reminded her sister, to think carefully and act carefully around her mother. 

Athena knew her mother's plan to secretly incite Helen and to make the 11 year old have an outburst. Which will make Han think Helen was rude or undisciplined. While she and Athena acted pitiful. 
Making him more guilty toward the mother-daughter pair.

"Darling, please be more creative. Oldest trick in the book." Athena laughed sarcastically in her heart as she got ready to go out with her family.

When Helen reached downstairs, she saw everyone was already there. Maria was dressed in a purple dress, her father in a purple shirt and black pants. Whereas her sister was in black pants and blue shirt similar to hers.

The two had a couple's outfit, thinking about it made her cringe. Another thing she noticed was that her sister looked nothing like her father of Maria. Probably a coincidence or when she grows up she might look more like her parents. 


The 'family' of four silent ride the car towards a famous restaurant, the couple at the front, Han driving while Maria was at the shotgun seat. The two sister at the back, Helen whispering at how the two were wearing couples outfit. 

The original plan was to take a driver instead but Maria 'suggested to go out as a 'family' and to bring no additional personnel. Her humbleness just made Han think more positively about his 'wife'.

In the restaurant.

The atmosphere was very harmonious, Athena was conversing with her 'father' about her new school and how 'fun' it would be to go to 'IVY school of elite'. The best school in the country. 

Helen on the other hand was conversing with Maria and telling how fun it would be to have her sister studying with her. Maria talked to Helen about how happy the family was and



 how happy the two father and daughter looked because they were in each other's company. 

Maria tried to entice Helen in every conversation, secretly saying words with double meaning. It may seem like nothing was wrong when she said most of the things. But if focused correctly you could notice the harsh meaning behind the sweet words. 

Helen was freaked out at how easily, Maria was able to day all of the things with a smile. If she wasn't reminded by Athena that her mother had ulterior motives. She would have thought her saying this words were accidentally said because of Maria's acting. 

The woman was truly out for blood.
 
Helen was about to say something harsh, when her 'step-mother' said something with double meaning. This time she had said something about her mother.

"Clank" Athena had 'accidentally' dropped her spoon and quickly apologized. 

The sound made Helen regain her composure. She was really thankful for Athena's reminder, Helen turned more careful and calm afterwards.

The whole family continued there brunch 'happily. With fun small talks that made the atmosphere seem very harmonious.

After the brunch the family went to a park. The park had a lake with ducks and plenty of fishes. Not many people were there, because it was quite expensive. They could feed the birds, with food bought from the park's store. 

They all fed the birds and walked around the park. There was a tour guide to take you around the park and give information to visitors about the birds and other cool stuff about park.

Maria and Han were tired after walking around the park for a very long time and so were the girls so they decided to go home. It was getting dark and Han drove the family home. By the time they reached home it was already 5.00 clock. 

After reaching home, Maria said she wanted to make dinner for the family and went to the kitchen. They were a total four maids working in the house, right now two maids were on duty and Maria had enough help to make dinner. 

Maria had wanted to make dinner but she wasn't the best at cooking. Previously she would survive on the money given to her by Han and therefore had a maid to make food for her. 

When Athena was six she had started cooking and Athena was usually responsible for making food in the house. 
So Maria was a bit unsure about making dinner, but when she saw the two maids she 'asked' them to 'help' her make food. 

The two maids mostly did the work, where as Maria acted like she was doing the work and instructing them how to do it. 

The two maids were made at the new lady's behavior but knew what was best for them. The maids finished making the dinner with the lady's help. 

Both maids were thinking about their previous madam and how their previous made her treated them with respect. The previous madam actually made food and helped around the house. Rather then instructing others to do the work and taking credit.
