A sword swinging spell casting adventure for those willing to have patience with my terrible grammar skills and the fact that I write like I speak.

It was more difficult for the spellcaster to master his or her ability compared to other classes. Many melee class necessary abilities could be learned in a year and a half, but even the most straightforward abilities of the wizard took a lot of time. Soran allocated skill points to Literacy and Concentration. He still couldn't master [Combat Casting] quickly enough because he didn't have enough Concentration and was easy to be interrupted during battle. The Concentration of a wizard had a wide range of functions; learning magic or combat casting, all of this must pass a Test of Concentration. The Concentration level of a pure wizard was relatively high. The most important test of Concentration was the ability [Mobile Spellcasting].
The free attribute point was allocated to Wisdom, something important when he needed to master legendary spells.
Then there was a very important ability point.
"Maximize Spell [Metamagic Abilities]: This Metamagic ability can maximize the power of a spell, and increase the damage of a certain spell by 100% at the cost of upgrading two spell levels. For example, a level 1 arcane missile will become a level 3 spell after using this Metamagic ability to memorize it; the damage caused by the arcane missile to the enemy will be increased by 100%. " (Note: a prerequisite for Empower Spell)
"Silent Spell [Metamagic Abilities]: This Metamagic ability could silently cast a spell at the cost of upgrading 1 spell level. This allows spells not needing any casting actions and chanting, casting any spell silently. The spell ignores any silent spell, and it's hard for the enemy to notice that the wizard is casting. Until the moment when the casting is completed, it would not be detected by an enemy. " (Note: Prerequisite for the epic ability silent spell.)
"Spontaneous Casting [Metamagic Abilities]: This Metamagic Ability allows spells to be instantly cast at the cost of upgrading three spell levels. Instant spells cannot be interrupted by any normal means. They are also immune to silence and counter-attack. " (Note: Prerequisite for the epic ability Spontaneous Casting.)
Soran looked at the three choices that had appeared and went into deep thought.
Among them, Maximize Spell was an output maximization spell, which could greatly improve the power of a spell. If a person wanted to go all in, this ability was quite useful. Then there was the Silent Spell, which was a very effective ability when sneaking an attack on the enemy. During the Astral Plane wars, the Eye of the North used this ability to cast a legendary spell silently. No one noticed that she was preparing a legendary spell; they only noticed it when the spell had been cast — this ability used to be popular with trickster wizards because it could catch an enemy off guard.
Finally, Spontaneous Casting, which everyone was familiar with. It was able to turn a spell into an instant cast spell at the cost of making it 3 levels higher.
It was a rather useful ability that came at a heavy price!
Whether it was Silent Spell or Spontaneous Casting, they were both prerequisite spells for future epic abilities. After mastering this Metamagic Ability, advancing to legendary wizard would allow the mastery of other epic instant cast spells; Spontaneous Casting (silent) 0, Spontaneous Casting (silent) 1, Spontaneous Casting (silent) 2 and so on.
As long as you master this epic ability, the corresponding level of spells would not need to be increased additionally.
For example, if you mastered the epic ability Spontaneous Casting level 1, then all the level 1 spells would be automatically converted into instant cast. This epic ability could be upgraded to level 9. After mastering level 9 Spontaneous Casting, any level 9 spells would become instant cast.
That was why previously, many wizards mastered the ability of Spontaneous Casting early on.
To save ability points, and level up Spontaneous Casting after entering the realm of legend!
However, Soran had never seen anyone succeed in doing so.
Even the most powerful spell caster, that was, the elder princess of Arendelle; would not have mastered level 9 Spontaneous Casting, maybe only level 6.
This was a hard choice!
It determined whether a spellcaster wants to become the most powerful one, or give up and pursue other relatively easy and practical abilities, such as Silent Spell, Extend Spell, etc.
The Eye of the North chose Silent Spell.
This meant that it was almost impossible for her to become the most powerful wizard as she could only walk further and further on the path of Silent Spell.
The elder princess of Arendell and Vivian had chosen the path to become the most powerful wizard.
Soran was sure of one thing.
That's Vivian's had mastered the ability of Spontaneous Casting. Otherwise, her casting speed would not be so fast; many low level spells not even requiring any chanting.
Now!
It was Soran's turn to pick, and he was not sure which path he should take.
If he picked Maximize Spell, then he would pursue the path of greatest damage. In the future, when combined with the ability [Epic Spell Penetration], it would be very devastating to the enemy.
However, if he picked Spontaneous Casting, he would be able to get close to the most powerful wizards.

A puppet with consciousness was something like an AI puppet. Dye was a bit miffed at the thought of fighting an AI. In the game, other than being slightly stronger, there were not much difference between the [Refined Straw Puppet General] and the normal [Straw Puppets]. However, an AI was able to grow, and this was something...

Well...Something...

That Dye didn't want to face. She definitely didn't want to face an AI.

On Earth, AIs were able to learn the longer they lived. They were able to learn through experiences and the likes. Sometimes, they could even get stronger than the puppeteer. The weaker puppets were crazy loyal, the stronger puppets...Were crazy as well. The stronger sometimes even dared to enslave their masters. Their experiences would always be remembered, something that ordinary mortals wasn't able to do. Even Dye wouldn't be able to do that.

When the general rushed forward with his sword, Dye felt something amiss. Where was Ynoir? They should've fought this BOSS together. Although this BOSS was just a first layer BOSS, all BOSSes were not things to be taken lightly. She immediately dodged the quick sword with Levitate. It didn't take her long to jump over the general towards her safety.

Mage type classes (Mage, Occultist, Elementalists,etc) had this feature called casting time. The casting time usually ranged from 0.001 to 10 seconds for the skills spell. If they used a scroll, or usually called skill enhancement items, it might take until a minute. However, every millisecond counts. 

The settings : the easier the spell the shorter the casting time, the more mastery on the spell the shorter the casting time. The easier the spell, the less DMG dealt, the more mastery on the spell the more DMG dealt. Last but not least : The easier the spell,  the less mana needed, the more mastery on the spell, the less mana needed. The only controversial fact was the second one, regarding the DMG. 

This was why Dye had planned on dodging with low leveled spells, and attacking with a higher leveled spell. Levitate was one of the lower leveled spells (refer to Volume 1), so naturally, it took her less time to cast it. She couldn't reach the lowest 0.001 seconds, but the casting time needed was faster than the general's sword. However, the casting time for the higher leveled spells were still too slow compared to the generals attacking speed. It would be great if she had something like...Teleportation. 

She got even more irritated. Where was Ynoir?

Outside...Disturbances? It wasn't outside help? The instances usually needed a whole party to defeat as there were no rest areas and if you didn't enter the next level within a few minutes, you would be dispelled from the instance. And now...It was a 1v1?

Dye had a feeling that she was being watched by some mysterious people. Could they be the creators of this game and they were irritated at her for making a similar game on Earth? Was that even considered plagiarism? If yes, then she didn't mean to do that! She should've had a peaceful life, publishing this game of hers and then some other OP loyal player of hers would suddenly be pulled into the game being some hero of some sort....

That was what happened in novels! The one pulled in was never the creator!

She couldn't see Ynoir anywhere around the chamber. She also could only dodge with no one to buy time for her. The general was more well equipped than the previous straw puppets, she could not see where the Straw Heart was due to the thick armour protecting the puppet's body. If only she had some kind of X-ray eyes...

it displayed Chiyo's Skill tree in an organized manner, it also displays the amount of skill points needed and the pre requisites of each spell in order to unlock other spells, 80% of Chiyo's Skill tree is showing a question mark icon not knowing, making Theo Unable to see the skill name and description.

Fire Magic has 3 skills that are currently unlocked and they all have skill description but the skills that can be unlocked by putting skill points on the available spells has "?" in them so basically they don't know what skills may be unlocked after following a specific skill path.

Theo was thinking if should go over fire build or ice build, most of the time, Fire build takes advantage of damage over time, so it's a very good sustained DPS build, while on the other hand ice Magic combines magic damage and crowd control, which is very good for solo players since they are harder to kill.

Doing both might be good, but the cons is strong skills that may be unlocked on a later level will not be learned  because there might be a particular level cap. Unlike Theo who does not have a Level where his Level status says N/A so he might be able to lvl up without reaching the maximum level limit, and in this case it might be different for Chiyo.

"Chiyo what is your preference, over ice or fire?" Theo asked Chiyo with curiosity

Chiyo was very excited to try her new magic, "There's no time to rest let's go proceed to the 11th  flr so we can finish the quest."

At the moment, Emery's body was soaking wet, as his mind was concentrating on casting his [Nature Blessing] spell, healing his still wounded body to the optimal state as fast as possible. Feeling the pleasant feeling coursing through his body, Emery perceived his previously wounded spirit core would return to its normal condition soon. However, he still had to focus his mind, as he knew the situation was turning for the worse every second passed.
Emery was no longer concerned about the drastic problem plaguing his fey bloodline. He could handle that matter later. Right now, he just needed his spirit core to function properly again to help the girl, who was fighting with the crazy man in front of him.
AAGGHH!!
Loud pained screams resounded in the air, as an apparent grimace appeared on Silva's face. The sound of Silva's flesh being pierced by the large needle-like spell, combined with the agony one could feel in her scream, haunted Emery's mind. He could no longer close his eyes.  
Emery's healing spell was still maintained, while he carefully saw everything Silva did to fight Lodos. Since he knew he would have to fight the man himself, Emery split his attention into two and observed each step she did to handle this madman.
As he watched the raging battle, Emery noticed the solution to the seemingly unbeatable gravity spells. Apparently, speed was the solution. Yes, pure and plain speed. Thanks to her speed, which was astounding even amidst the ranks of elite acolytes, and her experienced battle sense, Silva was able to predict and dodge the gravity spells Lodos tried to throw at her, before he could even finish to cast them.
By the off-chance she did get caught by the spells, Silva swiftly used her high battle power, courtesy to her half-blood heritage, to break free from the spells, before they could be strengthened.
Watching the fight unfolding before him, Emery realized this was a battle of speed and long-range spell attacks. When Lodos was casting his signature black sharp needle spell, Silva casted her [Leaf of Steel] spell to welcome it.
The fight went on and Silva seemed unable to get closer to Lodos no matter what she tried. The closer she got to Lodos the easier it was for him to trap her with the gravity spells. Hence, the battle turned into a shooting contest, one where Silva was badly losing.
As he fired his needles, like someone who was watering their plants, Lodos had another spell activated, one that acted as his defensive spells the [Shadow Barrier]. The spell covered his entire body with a faint layer of darkish glow when he was attacked. Moreover, the spell was still active whether he moved or not, in other words, the defensive spell was mobile.
Meanwhile, even though Silva's [Wall of Thorn] spell was very powerful. The flexibility of the spell was not really its forte, as what the spell did was raise a few meters tall thorns barrier from the ground.  
The spell was a formidable one when used as a defensive option. However, the situation of the fight where the two of them were throwing and dodging spells to each other, which made them move around, was not really the best condition for the spell.
Emery could tell Silva was slowly being cornered by Lodos. When it looked like she was about to lose, Silva finally used her trump card. Thorny roots, which looked like those that would appear when the [Entangle] spell was casted, emerged around Lodos' figure. But then, when they got close to him, the vines suddenly turned into dozens of snakes and began attacking Lodos from several different directions.
Silva was about to enjoy the sweet taste of victory, as she saw her trump card was about to hit Lodos. However, her smile was broken by the sight of Lodos rising up into the air. The crazy man casted a spell named [Pull Up] from one of his many gravity-based spells, and effortlessly evaded Silva's trump card.
The last spell Silva casted seemed to affect her state, as her speed was reduced by quite a lot. That was exactly when Lodos was finally able to trap her with one of his [Pull Down] spells. Silva finally got caught, and seconds later, dozens of black needles flew from above and whizzed through the air towards her.
This time, Silva unfortunately wasn't fast enough to break free and avoid the needles completely. As a result, two of the needles were successfully embedded into her leg.
AARRGGHH!!
Another loud scream was heard, as the needles went deep into Silva's leg. Once again, Lodos casted the combination of [Pull Down] and [Shadow Needle] spells towards the groveling Silva. This time, she was surely unable to dodge.  
Looking at the precarious situation Silva was in, Emery knew he had to make a move now or it would be too late. He swiftly consolidated all the spirit energy he had gathered and channeled it all into his darkness core.
Immediately after, all three other element energies were channeling their power towards the center, and then an explosion of energy was created, as Emery's darkness core returned to its optimum state.
As soon as he felt his spirit core was restored and he could use it again, without even getting up from his cross-legged position, Emery swiftly casted the [Blink] spell. His figure warped through the space and instantaneously appeared near Silva.  
Swiftly sweeping the young girl's body, Emery immediately took Silva away from the danger, as dozens of needles pierced the ground where Silva was standing just an instant earlier. He carried Silva in his arms, as he put distance between them and Lodos.
Expecting to be scolded again by the young girl for taking too much time on healing or carrying her like this, to his surprise, Silva was very silent at the moment. Emery noticed her face seemed to be a little red. However, he quickly threw the sight to the back of his mind, he had no time to be concerned about those things right now.
Seeing Emery's energized appearance, the crazy man turned to his cheerful state, as a smile could be seen on his face.
"Come, come, come. Both of you, come and attack me... I am bored." Lodos said, beckoning with his hand.
"Be careful, Emery. This guy is a freak." Silva said, as Emery put her down and prepared to fight the lunatic. She then immediately cast healing magic on her wounded leg.
"I know." Emery said with a nod.
As he walked towards the man step by step, Emery brought out everything he could use. First, he used the [Immortal Gate] battle art technique to once again increase his battle power. Then, knowing the best strategy to fight against Lodos thanks to Silva, Emery decided to use his new spell.
Lodos, who saw the approaching Emery, prepared to launch his attacks again. Emery made up his mind to cast the new combination spell he had just learned recently before the game began.
The spell was a combination spell between two elements just like [Shadow Bind Root] and [Granite Skin] spell. However, this time, it was a combination of water element and darkness element.
Dark blue glow appeared around Emery's figure as he was casting the said spell. Moments later, the spell activated.
[Shadow Mist - Tier 3 Combination Spell]

It’s a slow Burn, as slow as the whole volume 1 maybe will be depressing to read. The MC is still a little boy and he do mistakes. But if you could pass the second volume you will see how this story could reach webnovel top15 trending with just 300 chapters.

Aleister sighed as he handed over the one-hundred and fifty gold for the six arcane spell scrolls and the required materials he bought. He wasn't sighing just because of the cost, but also because he never imagined spending this amount of gold so casually for some spell scrolls. He hadn't even finished looking around for other stuff he might have needed.
He turned around as he put the scrolls in the fancy scroll case that Gilmore gave him for "free" looking around at the rest of the merch, but he noticed that Myra had seemed to disappear.
"Hey, do you know where Myra is?" he asked.
"She went into the back to try on some clothes."
"New clothes, huh?"
"Perhaps, you might also be interested in purchasing new clothes?" Gilmore asked with a sly smile.
"Ha, it depends. What kind of clothes?" Aleister asked.
"Why don't you take a look, we happen to have a small selection of clothes that are made out of magical and protective materials," Gilmore said as he walked up to the second floor, an open area that hung over the first, and showed Aleister their selection before heading back down.
Aleister combed through the various clothes before choosing a combat outfit that he liked. The long, black jacket created out of rare, magical silk, draped down to his knees. There were thirteen red-stained adamantium buttons, adorned with chains, on the front. The shoulders were padded and covered by the same sleek metal as the buttons and had small metal, and with it were fingerless gloves with the purpose of gripping weapons better. The white leather pants were a bit a much on their own but luckily the boots which were made out of a similar leather except black in color and studded with the same metal covered up most of the shins.
He went with the outfit instead of just the jacket because, of course, the outfit was at an "amazing discounted price" according to Gilmore, and it came with a "free" fancy-looking adamantine dagger. As Aleister reeled under the pain of paying another two hundred and fifty gold, Myra had managed to appear next to him without any warning.
"Hey!"
"Oh," Aleister turned toward Myra as he said, "there you are!"
"Yeah, there were a bunch of cool-looking clothes, but I found this pretty looking combat outfit," she said while placing a bag on the checkout desk.
"Yup, that's what Gilmore told me earlier, which is why I ended up getting my own," Aleister said, pointing to a similar-looking bag. "How much is it?"
Myra twirled her hair as she said, "Well since you bought your own you should know that it's pretty expensive..."
Aleister rolled his eyes as he said, "As long as I don't go into debt, it's probably fine."
"It's about two-hundred and fifty gold," she nervously responded but quickly followed up saying, "but it also comes with a neat looking silver dagger and chain whip!"
Aleister smiled as he said, "That's pretty much what I expected," before handing over the required gold.
"Thank you for your patronage, I hope to see you two soon," said a joyful Gilmore as he waved goodbye.
Aleister waved back as he and Myra left the shop.

Cypher's spell took out two Conductors instantly. Their clothes burst into flame, and Cypher noticed that they were heavily underprepared for an attack like this. One would have imagined that they would be heavily armored or, at the very least, shrouded in Wards to prevent such a thing from happening. However, Cypher soon realized that, of course, they were underprepared. 
These Conductors had likely been throwing everything they had at breaking through the Wards around the vault. It was no surprise that their Magickal defenses were non-existent. As for their lack of armor, it seemed as though they were quite the poor band of thieves. With that, Cypher felt more at ease when it came to this mission. 
After his first attack, the others in the hallway who hadn't been killed began firing back. Water whips, wind slashes, and several stone bolts came flying his way. Cypher dodged the attacks and rolled to his feet to cast his own spells again. However, he was interrupted by one of the water whips wrapping around his leg. 
It pulled him up and slammed him against the ceiling before slamming him down against the stone floor. His own Wards flickered, and the pain washed over him. While he was practically uninjured, he still felt the pain of those impacts. His ankle had also been squeezed tightly, and a large bruise was spreading beneath his clothes. 
However, such injuries were not enough to slow him down. He shot a bolt of lightning through the heart of the Conductor casting the water whip. The man shook violently, and his spell ended as his life was snuffed out. Cypher then turned his attention to two Conductors dual casting a spell together. His heart sped up as panic gripped him. Together two Conductors could release a Choir. 
Spells cast like this would be four times as powerful as spells cast individually. Cypher worked hard to bring up a defensive barrier. "Trio, Verse 3, Walls of Jericho!" Cypher's spell took effect just as a massive wind arrow took form and shot towards him. Three earthen walls shot up from the floor, each as thick as a tree trunk. 
However, judging from the size of that arrow, it wouldn't be enough. He quickly thought through his options as the arrow soared through the air. The distance between him and the Conductors was around twenty meters, but the arrow reached his defensive spell in only a few instants. 
The first of the three walls crumbled, followed shortly by the second and third. These walls were at the third rank, and there had been three of them, yet the wind arrow had still shot through them like they were nothing. However, in the instant that the three walls had halted the arrow, he had been able to move out of its line of fire. The arrow shot into the walls behind him and destroyed a good chunk of the manor.
Casting his spell had been costly, but Cypher was still in good shape. It might be a problem when it came to advancing his Center of power, but having an Orrium capable of storing so much Zight was quite useful. While chunks of stone fell behind him, Cypher ran up the wall to his left and charged towards the Conductors, who stared on in shock. 
They had never seen a Rank-One Conductor cast a spell at the third rank, let alone three consecutive times! At that moment, they knew that playing around with him wasn't an option. They had to kill him now! They had underestimated him. Of course, that was quite normal, given that he was only a Rank-One Conductor. Anyone would have made the same mistake, right? 
The Conductors didn't have time to worry about that as they gathered into two groups. The first was made up of three Conductors. They drew their weapons and prepared to face him down as best as they could. Even if his Orrium was highly powerful, his body couldn't be on an equal level! That would simply be insane. 
Conductors could train a single center of power to higher levels than the other two, and while they had never seen someone at Cypher's level cast like that, they were certain that his body should only be at rank-Zero. Anything else was impossible given his apparent age, right?
The other four began casting another Choir as the first three prepared to do battle with the intruder. Cypher took notice of this and panicked once again. He didn't quite know the nature of the spell they were casting just yet, but he had to either stop it or find a way to dodge it. 
However, the three in front of him were dueling with him at high speed. Their weapons, a set of twin daggers, a mace, and a flail, swung at him in quick succession. They had trained together and knew how to attack all at once while remaining uninjured by each other's weapons. 
Cypher pulled out two sabers and fought them off. The daggers seemed weakest, so he left his Wards to handle them while he used his two sabers to block and parry the other weapons. One of the barbed ends of the flail screeched across his cheek before the other weapons could collide with him, cutting through his Wards with ease. 
He squinted his eyes and pulled back instead of clashing with them. If the flail had broken through such powerful Wards so easily, he did not doubt that the daggers could do the same. As it was, he wore only a common iron breastplate. He hadn't had time to outfit it with enchantments as he had only donned it before the raid began. 
If the daggers landed their blows, they would have likely fatally wounded him. As such, he had decided to avoid the clash altogether by leaping back several meters. However, the four Conductors in the back were almost done with their spell at this point. 
With no other option, he slapped the Ark Cradle onto his waist and roared, "Ignite!" The drain on his Zight was negligible as it had been before, but he still felt his power drain before the iridescent belt wrapped itself around his waist. 
A pyramid of light danced around him as the armor appeared, and in the next instant, he called forth most of the armor to block the incoming spell. A massive wave of ice crystals shot towards him next. Each one stabbed into the armor barrier he had conjured in front of him. 
None of them could pierce it completely, but since the armor was still newly formed, it hadn't quite powered up enough to stop them completely. The ice shards clattered to the ground as Cypher shook them free from the armor before returning it to his body. Several cracks wound their way through the breastplate before slowly healing shut. 
He then converted around 50% of his Zight into physical energy and held back his saber. Power coursed through the blade, and he shot forward and unleashed a powerful slash. The Conductors had no time to react, as they were shocked that the scene unfolding in front of them exceeded their expectations. 
SHING! 
SHING! 
SHING! 
SHING!
In several fluid motions, Cypher strode forward and sliced all of them in half. The group in the back had been close together, and only a single strike had been able to sever them in half. Their bodies hit the floor, and blood pooled around his feet as he turned to see the devastation he had wrought. His weak saber however hadn't been able to withstand the attack and shattered shortly after his attack had finished. 
He let the hilt clatter to the floor and turned to move closer to the vault room. He was free to proceed with the hallway cleared, but he was upset that he had needed to resort to the Ark Cradle so early into this raid. 
"Tsk..." he clicked his tongue as he moved on. His sour feelings about this battle would have to wait until later. The vault was more important right now. With that, he left the dead Conductors and rounded the corner to head into the vault room, but not before his armor had absorbed all of the lingering Zight in the hallway.

ALL skills/development abilities gained affect DS:3 spells.(IE concurrent chanting would allow heal miracles to be cast while moving etcetera etcetera)

For Items: Materials/Consumables cost multiple by every 10 group (IE the first 1-10 cost X core/stone per one, the next 11-20 cost X2 nornal, 21-30 cost X3 nornal etc...)
All other Items cost X amount bought.
Professions cost X number of owned Professions.

1st floor cores/stones equal to 10 WoW copper in exchange value, 2nd floor's equal to 20 copper, 3rd floor's equal to 30 copper etc etc.
