He was in disbelief. 
The head of the department laughed at his reaction. "Snap out of it, Aihara. You look like I've just fired you."
"I'm sorry, sir!" Kaoru regained his composure. "I didn't expect this. Thank you very much."
The older man sitting opposite him in the meeting room just smiled kindly. "It's a great achievement for someone at your level. Hakusen should have hired you when they could."
Kaoru stared at the mock-up of the cover of the book with his design. It was for an up and coming novelist, who wanted a cover expressing separation.
A senior designer had overseen the project and Kaoru was staffed on the team. They spent weeks trying to meet the novelist's demands, on top of other assignments.
It came to a breaking point when his senior threw in the towel.
"I give up! He's just being fucking unreasonable. What's wrong with our ideas? Screw this."
Kaoru had been helping to polish his senior's work up until then. When the team went home dejectedly that day, he stayed back and thought about what the novelist wanted.
They had been fixated on a darker, wintry look. It made sense since the novel was equally dark and tragic.
To Kaoru, separation was on a warm autumn day, when leaves fell together with the hearts that followed. The memories which kept resurfacing during the entire project. 
He sketched out an idea and showed it to his senior the next day.
His senior was going to throw it into the bin when one of the team leads of the production department passed by and noticed it.
"Hey, let me look at that."
Kaoru had seen him before during meetings. Confident, effective and with a personality which  engaged with others easily, Fujiwara Ren was one of the rising stars in the company.
His senior handed over the sketch grudgingly. Fujiwara's hazel eyes scanned it and then asked Kaoru, "Is this your work?"
"Yes," Kaoru admitted.
A warm smile crossed Fujiwara's face. "I'll ask his editor to show it to him."
Both his senior and Kaoru had been shocked. 
That was three days ago. Now, he was sitting in the office looking down at his first book cover. Kaoru couldn't believe it.
He was on cloud nine for the rest of the day. His co-workers who have heard congratulated him heartily, except for the senior designer who muttered something to the effect of him lucking out.
Kaoru didn't mind if it was luck. It gave him a tiny confidence boost. 
Even if his inspiration was…
Don't think about it at work, he told himself. When he went home, then he could try to piece his heart together, as he often did ever since that day.
He tried to look for Fujiwara to thank him but the man was out for meetings. He did manage to speak to Miss Tachibana over the phone to convey the good news to her. 
When he left the office, he finally saw Fujiwara at the lobby.
Kaoru waved to get his attention.
Fujiwara looked up from his phone and grinned. "Aihara!"
Kaoru went over quickly and bowed. "Thank you so much. For the cover."
"It's your design," Fujiwara reminded him in a friendly manner. "Thank YOU. If not, the project would have been delayed and I'm probably still in the office."
Kaoru was embarrassed. "No, I..it was just an idea which came to me."
"Don't be so modest," Fujiwara chuckled. "You're such a cute junior!"
"Who's cute?" a deeper voice asked, amused.
A taller and very good-looking man appeared beside Fujiwara. In a suit and still carrying a briefcase.
"Shin! You're on time," Fujiwara exclaimed happily. "Meet Aihara Kaoru. From the design department."
Then to Kaoru, he introduced the man easily, "This is Kurosawa Shinobu. My partner."
Kaoru was surprised. 
"Nice to meet you," he said.
"And you," the man returned and added wryly. "Ren isn't giving you trouble, is he?"
"Of course not!" Fujiwara protested with a pout. "I'm the perfect senior."
"He's very kind to me," Kaoru agreed. "I got my first book cover because of him."
"He's just being unnecessarily humble," Fujiwara countered and told his partner, "My project is back on track. He's the reason you can take me out to dinner today."
"In that case, you have my thanks too," Kurosawa told Kaoru.
They made a dangerously attractive couple. It was clear that they were in love. Kaoru could see the adoring laughter in Fujiwara's eyes and although his partner seemed to be the more reserved type, the glances he gave Fujiwara contained a certain softness.
"Not at all! Anyway, I shouldn't take up more of your time." Kaoru smiled. "Have a good evening."
"Bye! See you around in the office!" Fujiwara waved cheerfully.
He could still make out bits and pieces of their conversation as he walked away.
"Just dinner? I haven't seen you for a week."
"What else?"
"Shin, don't tease me. Unless you don't want to..."
"Fine. A quick dinner."
"Now we're talking."
It didn't take much imagination to know what they could be referring to. Kaoru found himself smiling at how comfortable they seemed with each other.
When he got into the packed train, he finally let his mind wander. 
What was Keigo doing right now? Was he still in the office or traveling for work? Did he find someone who could make him happy?
Somehow, seeing Fujiwara and his partner together made him missed Keigo so intensely. What wouldn't he give to have just one dinner, free of any consequences and repercussions?
Kaoru knew back then that it would crush his heart. 
He hadn't expected that it could possibly be irreparable. Unlike the defect from his childhood, this could not be healed by any surgery or medication.
The human heart, once scarred, was never quite the same.

"You need money. I want company. It’s a fair trade.” That was the start of the relationship between Wada Keigo and Aihara Kaoru. How far will they go?

Hearing this, Huo Jinyao could not help but laugh. "Dad, what are you talking about? Qingsang and I have already registered our marriage," he said. 
"You can still get divorced." Huo Mingguang's eyebrows were furrowed. "I believe the Xu Family won't mind."
"But I will," Huo Jinyao interrupted. "I mind getting divorced. I also care whom I marry."
"Huo Jinyao, don't be so headstrong. Don't forget, your family name is Huo."
"Yes, my family name is Huo." Huo Jinyao nodded and did not deny it. "So, you want to coerce me into this?"
"It's not coercion. I just want to remind you of your responsibilities and obligations as a descendant of the Huo Family."
Huo Mingguang's eyes were sharp and imposing.
"I refuse." Huo Jinyao looked at him. The father and son were alike in height and appearance. They had the same aura.
"Huo Jinyao, you—"
"Don't say anything else." There was a flash of gloom in Huo Jinyao's eyes. "I know what you are trying to say, but I won't listen. I refuse."
Huo Jinyao turned around to go outside. "It seems that I'm not welcome here. I'd better get out your way," he said. 
Before Huo Mingguang could stop him, Huo Jinyao strode out of the house.

Shi Mengwan's wedding dress design studio had been open for two years. She designed fancy dresses and wedding dresses. She had a bit of a reputation in the industry. People who knew her said she was a talented designer. Even if she had not become one of the top-tier domestic designers, there were many people who asked her to design wedding dresses. The wedding dress Su Qingsang had worn had been designed by her.
She did not expect that one day Su Peizhen would come to her studio and ask her to design a wedding dress.
Looking at Qiu Yanbo and Su Peizhen in front of her, Shi Mengwan really did not want to take this order.
"Miss Su, Mr. Qiu, do you have any special requirements?"
Su Peizhen wore a cold face and looked very unhappy. In her opinion, they should be asking a top-tier designer in Milan or Paris to design the wedding dress, to match her class. Why did Qiu Yanbo take her to Shi Mengwan?
"Can I order the wedding dresses of the masters in Milan and Paris here?"
Looking at Su Peizhen's proud face, Shi Mengwan fought back the urge to roll her eyes. She said, "Sorry to disappoint you. We only sell wedding dresses designed by myself here."
Su Peizhen didn't even want to sit down. She turned around and looked at Qiu Yanbo. "Yanbo, let's go," she said.
"Take it easy." Qiu Yanbo glanced at Shi Mengwan and put his hands on Su Peizhen's shoulders. "Let her try. If you are satisfied, we can use it. If you are not, we can order another one from Paris or Milan, okay?" 
Su Peizhen did not look like she was very pleased, but she did not object.
Shi Mengwan had to take out a pen and paper. She began to listen to Su Peizhen's requirements.
After getting down everything very "carefully," Shi Mengwan sent the two people away with a false smile on her face. She couldn't help but give Su Qingsang a call when she got back.
Su Qingsang was busy, very busy. Although Qingyuan County was a small county, there were many towns. Their free clinic was supposed to cover each and every town.
They were going to nine towns in twenty days. That meant they were in each town an average of two days. They didn't have much time to rest at all before they had to go to the next town.
Because she was so busy, she kept forgetting about Huo Jinyao.


The young master of the Huo Family was well-known in the Rong City. Having been brought up in a military, political, and business family, he was decisive in dealing with businesses, yet sexually continent as it was said. Nevertheless, he happened to fall in love with an illegitimate daughter. 
The disgraceful illegitimate daughter had been detested by her whole family, but suddenly won the love of the young master of the Huo Family.
Since then, he turned into a “slave” of his wife and pampered her.
Mrs. Huo: “They say I am an illegitimate daughter, and totally out of your league.”
Master Huo: “Who has such a big mouth! I’m gonna sew it up!”
Mrs. Huo started circling on his chest with a finger, “They also say you’ll get tired of me sooner or later.”
Master Huo held his wife into his arms, proving his love to her with practical actions, “Nonsense! My wife’s body is soft and easy to be pushed down to bed, how come I will get tired of you!?”
Mrs. Huo: “Pervert!”

"Come on, why are you walking so slow?" urge Marco.
"I hope this time it's something worth it" replied Sam.
They were two students 18 years old, they were in that age when legally you are an adult but so most of the people you are still a child.
It was the summer before they go to university so they have a lot of free time thinking about what to do with their lives. 
"So you usually run in this forest?" ask Sam.
"Yeah, i think i'm getting a little fat always eating and reading, so i start running in the mornings. And today i was running without any direction and i found something... interesting"
"What do you mean with interesting" Frowned Sam.
"No more questions, it's better to see it for yourself"
They walked for a less than half an hour talking about how they expect the life in university would be like. Their parents wanted both of them to go to and engineer university. But at this age you want more party than study, they were more time thinking about beer than thinking about their future.
"Here we are" said Marco with a smile on his face.
They were in the middle of the forest, out of the road. There was a rock with the form or a tree which have been cut by half. It had a series of estrange symbols on top of it.
"The thing is that i have been running this road for weeks, and i always stop by this trunk. It have never make a noise or anything, until this morning when i support on it to take a breath and it start to shine" explained Marco when they stop near the trunk.
Sam started checking the trunk going around it, he touched it with a finger and suddenly a short shine started in the middle of the trunk. Sam moved a finger a instant later and the the shine disappear. 
"I press my finger for like 5 seconds and the shine start to fill the symbols from the centre to the perimeter. Before it was completed i stop and go looking for you" Explained Marco.
Sam kept checking the trunk with a hesitant face. He had a cautious personality so although Marco seemed very excited he preferred to be sure on what was happening.
It didn't seem to be any cable or machine that made it shine, also the surface of the trunk was not metallic.
"There is nothing that relates it to any machine, i have already check it" said Marco waiting for Sam to finish his checking.
"Then what it is? and what is going to happen when the shine cover the whole design?"
"I have no idea" said Marco getting excited. "That's why i was looking for you, i don't know if this is a government secret or even magic. But if it kill me or do something weird, i want you to stand by my side and cover me. Or at least go for help"
Sam frowned and kept looking Marco for a long time, not saying anything. After a long think about how he was gonna explained is it injured them he sighed.
"Well... i know you for a long time and I know i can't change your mind." started Sam.
"This may be the stupidest thing we have ever done, you know that the curiosity killed the cat? And now we are going to be two morons worse than cats" signed again Sam. "So if this thing can kill people, i think that it's better to two idiots to die together" Smiled Sam.
Then the two of them looked at each other with a big smile and then roared:
"We are absolute morons" .
They start laughing and they put their finger on the trunks and the shine started again, but this time if you look closer you could have seen that it was more intense, and the speed at which it covered the design was faster.

Not every legend have the best genius with the best powers, sometimes there was no one better, and your mission is to find that guy.

Someone rang the bell in front of the entrance to his stateroom aboard the Barracuda.

"Come in!" Ves called out.

The armored hatch slid open and let in Melkor. Wearing his trademark visor, his cousin's expression had always been hard to read.

"What brings you to my office, cousin? Is it about Raella?"

"Raella's a big girl now. She can take care of herself." Melkor waved away his concerns. "I'm here for you right now. I've been hearing that you aren't holding up so well these days. You're letting your nerves get the best of you."

Ves had to admit he fell into a hole of endless worry and consternation. He constantly came up with worst-case scenarios that threatened to ruin his debut and threaten his career.

"Don't you think mech pilots have it worse? Everytime we get deployed, we risk our deaths. Even those who man the security mechs assigned to routine patrols have to worry about madman trying to tear the whole place down. The galaxy isn't safe."

He understood Melkor's underlying message. How many Mark II's had the company sold all this time? Thirty? Fifty? More? Ves didn't keep track of his customers anymore, but he guessed that most of them employed them as warmechs.

The coming years of war would test his designs like nothing ever seen before. Not just the Mark II, but also the original Mark I could see a lot of combat. With the imminent introduction of the Blackbeak, Ves pushed even more mech pilots onto the battlefield with his creations.

His face adopted a rueful smile. "So many mech pilots will struggle to survive. Who am I to lament about falling flat on stage? It's not the end of the universe for me."

Even though a poor debut had a depressing effect on the rest of his career, as long as he worked hard enough, he could eventually redeem himself. Even Jason Kozlowski turned into a respectable mech designer nowadays despite having released the bloated Caesar Augustus.

The short talk woke Ves from his spiral of doubt and uncertainty. He thanked Melkor, who left once he did his job, and stood up from his seat to stare at a projection of the Blackbeak.

"I have all of the ingredients to succeed. I'll make sure you will get the recognition and use you deserve."

His sixth sense fluttered a bit, indicating that the black phoenix had been paying attention. Ves found it interesting how the black phoenix would evolve once more models began to proliferate.

The rules of the imaginary realm boggled his mind.

From what he guessed, a single black phoenix king ruled over the entire BP-A-01 line, while paler duplicates of the imaginary entity occupied the individual mechs.

These individual images possessed a growth element, so they grew over time, adapting to both their mech pilots and their shared experiences. This in turn fed back to the king of the mech line, allowing it to grow into an even more majestic creature that elevated the entire design to a higher level.

"It's going to require a lot of energy to accomplish such a thing, if something like that will happen at all." He suspected.

His inclusion of a growth element in his design had far-reaching effects that he didn't quite yet understood. His findings on the X-Factor only scratched the surface of what it could do.

The only downside was that it took a long time for the fruits to bear. Ves had to debut the Blackbeak when the design had only just broken out of its shell. He felt apologetic about that.

"Reality isn't always so perfect. I have to work with what I got."

He spent the rest of his journey preparing for the upcoming event. Through the galactic net, he coordinated with the marketing department on Cloudy Curtain and the envoys sent ahead to Bentheim. With the help of Marcella's brokerage, they secured a suitable venue to show off all six current production models at once.

"All of this is contingent upon the MTA approving the Blackbeak design for release." Gavin cautioned. 

Ves knew his design. There was no way it could get rejected. "The Quality Assurance Department won't hold up our design. It's nowhere near those crappy designs that some of my competitors slap together in a couple of weeks. We specifically tested the limits of the prototype at the testing grounds to catch any remaining flaws that the MTA could use as an excuse to disqualify its design."

They did their due diligence. Some designers never even bothered to subject their mechs to any physical tests, thinking that the simulations would be lifelike enough to qualify.

When the Barracuda finally touched down at the spaceport, Ves met a representative from the MTA's QA Department. "Mr. Larkinson? We have a secure package for you."

A couple of security officers in MTA uniforms proceeded to confirm his identity. Once they made sure that he wasn't a body double, a robot, a clone or some brainwashed schmuck, the rep handed over a couple of fancy data pads.

As the people from the MTA boarded their shuttle and left, Ves glanced over pads with apprehension. Everyone else gathered around him to stare at the gilded pads. Their ceremonial appearance made it clear that their contents contained an official judgement from the QA Department.

"Open it up."

He activated the first pad. It took a few seconds for them to get a grip on the cover letter of the only document in the pad.

"...We are pleased to validate your submitted design, code name BP-A-01, as a battleworthy mech…"

"...Your submitted design exceeds the minimum standards of quality set forth by our Quality Assurance Department. It has been deemed worthy enough to be added to our archives…"

"...Your submitted design will be available for licensing as soon as it is commercially released. If your submitted design is not commercially exploited by any party, we will make your design available for licensing after one standard month…"

"...Our appraisers have determined the value of a standard ten-year production license of your submitted design to be 3 billion bright credits. If you wish to dispute this estimate, you are free to lodge a formal objection…"

"We did it!" Carlos yelled and raised his fist. "The MTA approved of our design!"

Everyone held a miniature celebration. The last roadblock ahead of its introduction to the market had been cleared. Even if Ves expected the MTA to give out their stamp of approval, even he didn't know for sure.

"The Blackbeak's license is worth only 3 billion credits." Ves sardonically said. "I don't know whether to feel glad or insulted. The license for the Havalax is worth 3 billion credits as well."

"Cheer up, Ves." Carlos clapped his back. "Even if they don't recognize your mech is better, at least it's in the same league."

Vees didn't think it likely that someone would license his design in the current generation. The huge sum mainly served as bragging rights.

For a third-class mech design, a valuation of 3 billion credits wasn't shabby at all. Ves sometimes heard of awful designs receiving a licensing value of only 500 million credits.

In that regard, he did quite well, though he heard of some geniuses managing to achieve a value of 4 billion credits.

"If I only had more time and better component licenses."

Now that the Blackbeak officially entered the records and became an MTA-approved design, their preparations entered a fever pitch. Ves shuttled back and forth between Marcella's brokerage and various offices in order to insure that nothing went wrong.

In the meantime, his back office continued to persuade more publications to come and cover the press conference without throwing too much money at them. That had proven to be quite a challenge.

Time passed in a blink, and the date of his debut had finally arrived. Ves woke up with all of his mental burdens gone. Somehow, he felt as if he already did his best.

After a short breakfast, Ves joined up with his entourage and left for the venue of his debut. They reserved an upscale exhibition hall in downtown Dorum that other mech designers frequently used to introduce new designs.

Beyond the palatial double doors, six gleaming Blackbeaks stood at a row behind the podium where Ves would make his speech.

"Wow."

Five of them stood just behind the first production model like an honor guard. All of their collective X-Factors resonated with each other to produce a remarkably strong aura that even took Ves aback.

Carlos whispered in appreciation. "With mechs like these, who's going to remember the Havalax?"

"Indeed."

Their view quickly cut off as a couple of bots covered the mechs with cloth. The bright white covers allowed spectators to get a glimpse of the silhouettes, which teased everyone's imaginations.

"Alright, folks! This is the big day! Let's make sure it happens without incident!"

Every preparation had already been made, but it didn't hurt to check. The exhibition room had been spruced up with banners featuring the LMC's iconic logo. Lucky meowed at the tall tapestries depicting a stylized version of himself longing atop a cartoonish cloud.

"That's you, buddy."

"Meow!"

His cat didn't seem so pleased at his appearance in the logo. Ves may have gone a little too far in making him appear cute and innocent.

"Oh come on, just look at that cute face of yours, with such big eyes you'll surely be a hit with the ladies!"

Lucky hissed and scampered off, not wanting to hear anymore nonsense from his owner. Ves merely shrugged his shoulders and went back to his final preparations. He already had a speech planned out which not only acknowledged his achievements, but also laid out a bold vision of the future.

Half an hour before the start of the conference, the first reporters arrived with a fanfare of hovering recorder bots. The reporters already staked their places before podium, hoping to occupy the best positions for their bots to transmit the press conference to their employers.

After that, security cleared a number of spectators. The LMC sent out a lot of invitations in the last couple of weeks. Those who decided to attend consisted mainly of industry insiders and previous customers.

Besides the expected guests, Ves also decided to open up his conference to bystanders. Plenty of people who walked by the exhibition hall must be wondering what all the commotion was all about.

This led to a fairly boisterous scene at the rear of the hall. Everyone pointed at the six covered mechs, hoping to get an early peak of what they hid underneath.

Time went by until it reached local noontime. Conversations faded out as Ves stepped forth onto the stage. Garbed in his anti-grav clothes, he cut a sharp figure as a mech designer.

"Welcome, everyone. Thank you for attending this press conference. Today, I will be introducing my first original design, a model which will revolutionize the way its pilots will be able to survive the coming battles!"

Ves waved his hand and a projection appeared of the LMC's logo. Lucky quietly meowed in objection at the back, but no one heard his complaints.

"Let me begin by introducing my company. Founded on the quiet planet of Cloudy Curtain, the LMC aims to elevate the sleepy rural planet's economy and bring more employment opportunities to its citizens. We already employ a substantial amount of mech technicians and office workers, and with the introduction of my upcoming design, I expect the company to expand even faster!"

The projection shifted to footage of a large number of decisive historical battles. They all featured a number of iconic mechs that enthusiasts could recognize in their sleep.

"You may be wondering what the LMC stands for. It's short for Living Mech Corporation. I named my company this way because I believe that mechs are more than machines. With all the love and passion surrounding mechs, we don't always appreciate their contribution to humanity."

He raised his hand, pausing the projection to a fateful clash between two top-tier cutting-edge mechs.

"Think about it. How many lives are depended upon mechs? The entire course of the galaxy is constantly shifting due to the tireless contribution of mechs of all shapes and colors. They deserve our appreciation, and the LMC is my way setting forth my principle that mechs can be alive as well!"

"That's a bold statement, Mr. Larkinson!" A reporter rudely interrupted his speech. "But we didn't come here to be lectured about mechs! We know our business, so can you please move on to your new design?!"

Ves maintained his smile before the cameras. The reporter happened to be representing The Republican Mech, one of the Bright Republic's most widely read news portals on mechs.

Instead of snapping back with a verbal quip, Ves snapped his fingers. The cloths clinging over the mechs suddenly moved away, revealing the Blackbeaks in their full splendor.

"Is this what you wanted to see?"

Humanity has conquered half the galaxy and the Age of Mechs reigns supreme!

Ves Larkinson lacked the genetic aptitude to become a famed mech pilot. Fighting against his fate, he studied mech design in order to express his love for mechs as a builder instead of a soldier.

When Ves graduated from college, he returned to a new but empty boutique. Left with a small, newly founded mech workshop that his father painstakingly built with a mountain of debt, Ves somehow needs to make ends meet with the bank breathing down his neck.

In the midst of his despair, he found salvation from another legacy his father had left.

"Welcome to the Mech Designer System. Please design your new mech."

!! Nan Shen?! 
At this time, Nan Shen just realize that Tan Hua thigh was rather exposed because of her short pants. Seeing this, Nan Shen showed an annoyed expression before his naughty hand moved, startling the poor girl. 
"What are you doing??" Tan Hua face blushed red when Nan Shen hand suddenly landed on her bare thigh. She didn't know what happened but why the heck this man?? 
"What? I can't?" Nan Shen ignore Tan Hua protest as he move his hand, starting to stroke Tan Hua thigh with a blissful face, totally shameless. 
"Well you can you can but not here!!" Actually Tan Hua wanted to say he can't but they're already a couple so might as well gave him permission once in a while.
She didn't dislike it but the problem is, they're in public! Even though everyone attention was on the dolphins, she was still embarrassed if Nan Shen touch her like this! 
"But everyone attention isn't on us" Nan Shen grinned seeing Tan Hua already freaked out. He knew this girl wasn't used to a man touch so she must felt very awkward when he touch her thigh and even stroke it but he couldn't hold back okay?
Who told her to wear short jeans on a date with him? Didn't she know that by wearing such a short pants, it was the same as her asking him for a touch. 
If it's not to be touch then why she wore short jeans? 
"Still!" Tan Hua quickly grabbed Nan Shen wrist and throw it away so he would stop stroking her thigh but then the second later, the man went back again with his hand on her thigh. 
She was wearing a short jeans making her thigh wasn't completely covered by the jeans. This allowed Man Shen to caress it as he like. 
"Still what? you wear such a short pants if not for me to stroke it, for what? so other men could see it and fantasize about your body?" Nan Shen harrumphed as he ignored Tan Hua plea to make him stop. 
At first he saw Tan Hua wore short pants and it didn't really matter since she wasn't sitting. But then she sat down, her thigh got completely exposed, more exposed than when she wasn't standing. 
This made him realize that anyone sitting behind her or next to her could feast on her white smooth thigh for free! 
If he knew it would be like this, the very moment he saw Tan Hua wore short pants he would immediately drag her to the clothes store to change it. 
"B-but it's fashion…it's not my fault if other men find it too sexy right??" Tan Hua couldn't understand why Nan Shen would be angry at her just because of a pants. 
Back in her world, girls wearing short pants wouldn't be frowned upon so why the fuss? The clothes she wore actually still pretty decent compared to a lot of fashion young girls used to wore back in her world.

Karl slowly walk towards me while waving his walkie-talkie in the air. Looks like he was tired, he's panting, it seems I have to call the night.

Just like before, we took one of the empty room beside the staircase and set our camp for the night. The situation is the same as before, to me, if I saw Ferals I kill them. On Karl side, he seems to be improving, by the sound of his gunshot I can tell his accuracy and speed getting better. 

" [ Boss. I'm at the staircase. ] ".( Karl)

5 minutes later I meet Karl on the staircase, he looks kinda happy to be able to beat me once. Once again we repeat the same routine, climbing up steadily. Both of us right now was on the 120th floor, we took a lunch break around 1345 pm, currently I'm at level 130 and Karl was level 65.

I decided that we will continue to ascend to floor 101, camp for the night there and start again for the next day. Since the floor plan will changed starting from 100th floor, we need a whole new approach as how to move.

" Boss..your coffee..".( Karl)

We now resting in the room near the staircase at floor 101, like as we plan. We rested here for tonight, and continue the next morning. Normal people usually receive 1-3 free status point and the points will be randomly distribute when they're leveled up. I was honestly feel blessed by this fact, some may said ' that's OP' or ' Cheater' , to me this is a great privileged, I loved it, there's a freaking zombies in this world, if you can get op you take it, believe me you need it.

"Boss..this is roughly how floor 100 looks like..".( Karl)

I've previously told Karl to draw the map of floor 100 up to floor 1, he handed me the paper which he has  drawn a rough outline of the whole floor based on his memory. Unlike the previous ring like floor, this floor got to many room and hallway, it looks like a poorly design office floor rather than a Maze.

"... Tomorrow, we will move together.... there's a lot to cover,...".

"Okay Boss... but, why can't we just do like usual?.. isn't it better to split up, that way we can cover more places..".( Karl)

"We can but, it won't be ideal yet alone a productive one.....look here, the floor itself posses Multiple branches of hallway...it will took to long for us to provide help for each other if we both venture far from each other...beside, with only 2 people it won't possible.... For some unknown reason Karl looks even fired up than before, it felt that as if he was worshipping me in his head. It's kinda feels good but at the same time bothersome. As usual we both fall asleep at 0100 am.

As soon as he passed by me and tap my right shoulder, I pulled the pin and throw grenade at the crazed ferals that starts to accumulate and wanting to chase after Karl. As soon as the grenade explode, I turned around and descend. I saw Karl already waiting beside the door and ready to close the barrier with the stake on his hand.

" Closed the barrier!...".

Karl stab the stake on the floor once I get inside the room, closing the barrier. The sudden adrenaline rush made both of us woke us up. we turned our attention towards the  bunny eared person that lay silently on the floor.

"...........Karl, this is Bunnykin right?..".

"...Yes boss,..it is Bunnykin....it got bunny ears so, It should be...".( Karl)

"........hah~ there goes my expectations...".

Once again, my expectations of this wonderful fantasy world shattered to pieces. This world never ceased to shocked me.

It also displayed a surprising amount of skin. Her shoulders were completely free and so were her belly, which would usually be heavily armored, since a wound there could be extremely dangerous. Of course, this design made it look all the better.

All in all the armor consisted of four parts. Long gloves that went up over her elbows. A top that was shoulder free and ended just below her breasts and tight pants, which clung to her legs, showing off their perfect form. Finally, it ended with black high heels, which couldn't look more unfitting for fighting.

The only thing, not black where her white skin and the golden patterns. Especially eye-catching was the golden dragon above her heart. The dragon looked the same as the one he had seen on Lara's mark and he was sure that it was there because she was his servant and had gotten the armor after the ritual.


"Wow.", Pia exclaimed, before hitting the back of Greg's head. "What are you staring at?", she angrily asked.

Greg shrugged his shoulders. He had stared at Celine with a perverted expression. "What can I do? She just looks to sexy.", he said without thinking, earning him another slap.

They weren't the only one staring, the others did so as well. "Does this armor works?", Irena asked doubtfully. The armor showed just to much skin, leaving to many parts uncovered.


Celine smiled happily at the stares. After having been an old woman for so long, she enjoyed the feeling of being young and pretty again. "Of course it does.", she responded, before explaining, "I guess you haven't seen armor of a high enough grade yet. The better the materials, the less there is a need to cover the body with it. For high-grade armor, the defense doesn't come from the material itself but the energy field generated by it. And for that, it is only necessary for the material to cover some areas. Everything else will still be covered by the field and be just as defended."

When Irena heard this, she nodded. "So that's how it is. But wouldn't it still be better to cover the free areas with some other materials to strengthen the armor further."

The others weren't familiar with the standards for teaching equipment, so Ivan asked warily, "Then can we use them for training? Wouldnt that be dangerous?"

"No.", Greg reassured them, "The standard for training equipment is quite high. They have to stand up to many training sessions and they can't break in a way that will endanger the students using them. After all, we don't wear shields all the time while training.
But to train in the dungeon they are more than enough. After all, they are still very durable and in actual combat, weapons can break anytime anyway. So the danger of them breaking is not problematic."

Hearing his explanation, the others could only agree. 

Now that everyone was prepared it was time to start training.


"Ok. First, we will start on the first floor. We will then slowly work our way upwards, killing every monster on each floor, while only using the 'Basic Spear Formation' and the 'Basic Turtle Formation'. Her eyes darted open as she looked towards her impromptu hug pillow, her mind racing and her face turning red as she realized that she hadn't moved off of Arthur when she fell asleep.

"Oh god…" she heard Arthur mutter again. Her mind was on the fritz as all she could do was cling to Arthur's arm, her body refusing all communications from her brain telling her to let go and run for it and hide within her room, atop her rickety bunk under several dozen layers of blankets.

She could hear Arthur's head quickly moving around atop his pillow, not long after she heard Arthur's movements she felt his arm beginning to move upwards in an attempt to free itself from her grasp, of course, Ruby, with her malfunctioning brain to body controls misinterpreted the signal of 'Let go!' into 'Hold on for dear life!' her arms gripping even tighter onto Arthur's arm not letting it escape her grasp 'Listentomebodyyoutraitor!'  Her mind screamed to herself.

Arthur's attempts at escaping Ruby soon ceased as he began to take on a new action, Ruby could hear his head furiously moving around before once again stopping as she swear she could hear Arthur mutter 'Oh god…'  once again, even though he remained quiet for a minute after his struggles ceased.

"How are they still sleeping…" she froze 'They?' she thought as her eyes sharpened and she turned her head slowly in an effort to see what he meant, but she froze remembering that Yang had thrown her onto Arthur's bed before falling asleep on the other side  of him. 

'Yang…' Ruby commented in her head as she kept turning her head until she could see her sister with her arms wrapped around Arthur's head, clutching his head into her chest, her eyes closed, slightly panting with a flushed face.

'Is she…' Ruby was about to comment in her head, but stopped when she saw Arthur turn his head towards her, his eyes locking with hers, both their body's frozen as different thought raced through their minds.

'Oh god! Ruby's awake, please don't scream, please don't scream!' he chanted in his frozen body.

'Hesawmehesawmehesawme!Ohgodohgodohgod! what do I do!? Work brain!' her body screamed to her brain, which naively decided to turn her head back to staring at the wall of Arthur's room in an attempt to make it out as if she was still sleeping. 'God dammit brain! This is your idea!? He already saw us!' Body screamed

'At least she's not screaming' Arthur thought 'But what do I do now?' letting out a mental sigh 'Should just ask her…'

"Ruby?" he called out feeling Ruby's grip tighten slightly in response while her head didn't move, not saying anything in an attempt to make it out that she was sleeping.

"I-I know your awake" Ruby began to tremble as her face began turning red in embarrassment, her arms getting tighter unconsciously, now tight enough that Arthur was beginning to feel his arm going static.

"Ruby, please let go. My arm is going numb." He asked, moving his numb arm in an effort to get her to loosen her grip. 

Ruby's brain screamed 'Let go!' while forcefully taking over body, her death grip loosened slightly allowing Arthur to pry his arm from hers, albeit with difficulty as he could feel his arm still being constricted but now that Ruby was awake and cognizant she wasn't unconsciously tightening it.

After a minute of silent prying, Arthur had gotten his arm free from Ruby's grasp, albeit his shoulder was still being used as a pillow by her. Arthur could see Ruby's cloak lifting as he moved his arm around under it, clenching his fist multiple times in an effort to get the blood flowing back into it.

By now Ruby had taken her usual self-defence procedure of hiding her head away behind her cloak, in this case she used her now free hands to quickly pull the back of the red cloak over her head 

'Yes hide away, brain! Like we usually do! And Body! Now you listen to her!?' Emotions berated the two entities that made up Ruby physicality.

'What do you want me to do!? I'm the body! I can't think! I'm the body! At most I work on instinct!' Body argued

'Then how are you talking!?' Emotion argued

'I'm not, this is Brain having a breakdown, creating strange inner monologues as her different thoughts are screaming at each other trying to figure out how to deal with this situation we now find ourselves in.' Body explained, surprising both Brain and Emotion.

'Wait, What!?' Brain cried out

'That… make's sense… I think?' Emotion replied still trying to wrap her… head? Around what was happening. 'Anyways!' Emotion quickly changed the hallucinatory subject 'Brain! Figure it out! Do you want him or not! If you do, just give me control!' Emotion argued

'What!? No! why would I do that!?' Brain Argued

'So you don't like him?' Emotion questioned freezing Brain to its bony confines as she began stuttering.

'Wha!? No! I-I mean h-he is kind, sweet, caring, handsome…' Brain lost itself as it began reciting things it liked about Arthur

'Has a tendency of getting injured' Body added before getting the mental hallucination version of a slap to the back of the head 'Ow! Hey!'  Body whined as she began rubbing her 'head'.

'Why did she just hit herself?' Arthur thought as he watched Ruby's cloak move and a light 'whack' was heard from under it.

'Shut it, Body!' Emotion ordered, mumming the rebellious ego.

'Yeah! What she said!' Brain piggybacked.

'I was just stating a fact…' Body whined still rubbing her equivalent of a head.

'Back to you' Emotion 'turned' to brain 'Stop lying to yourself, you like him.' Emotion stated bluntly 

'No I d…' Brain was about to say but was stopped as Emotion cried out 'Stop! Just stop! You. Like. Him. You can't hide it! I am literally your hallucination of YOUR emotions! So stop lying to yourself and just admit it!' Emotion ordered.

'B-b-but I-I don't l-like him!' Brain kept trying to argue

Letting out a heavy sigh Emotion spoke up 'Body, give me control of the body, it's time Brain got a reality check.' 

'On it boss!' Body said giving Emotion a salute as she ran behind Brain and grabbed her arms, forcing them behind her back 

'Body! No don't do this!' Brain helplessly pleaded as she began to struggle in her hallucinatory realm.

'And now she's trembling… just what is going on?' Arthur commented to himself as he felt Ruby's head rapidly shivering atop his shoulder, the fabric of her cloak also moving along with each of her trembles.

'Jobs done, Boss!' Body called out still holding onto the struggling Brain.

'Well done, Body! It's time you woke up Brain. This is for the best' Emotion finally said as she took control.

'No! stop! Don't do this! Please!' Brain begged futilely struggling against her captor.

Ruby's body stopped trembling against Arthur 'Seems she's calmed down at least…' he commented to himself.

Ruby lifted her hand and pulled her hood off of her head and took a deep breath as she lifted her body of the bed slightly and rotated around until she was facing in Arthur's direction. Her eyes locking with Arthur's with a self-determined look in her eye's as well as a twitch on her cheek as she now clearly saw Yang still tightly clutching onto Arthur's head forcing his cheek into her chest in her sleep.

Arthur would be lying if he said Ruby's eyes didn't scare him, he could see a strange determination that he would never expect from her "H-hey Ruby, good afte!?!?!?" before he could finish his sentence Ruby lunged atop him putting her hands on his chest while bringing her lips atop his in a kiss.

"Fhmfh!" was the only sound that came out of Arthur as his eyes widened in surprise as his mind began racing in an attempt to process what was happening. 

Ruby's mind had begun to catalogue everything it could about him, the softness of his lips, his colder body temperature which she could feel cooling her boiling lips, his strangely woody scent that filled her nose and the salty taste of his lips all forcing her to think of one thing, Arthur.

Her eyes had grown blurry and moist as her kiss became more and more passionate. 

Arthur, on the other hand was dazed, his mind still attempting to process what was happening, his eyes eventually meeting Ruby's which were moist and unfocused as she was to focused on her passion which took over her mind and body in that moment.

Seeing her passion and clear love for him woke Arthur from his daze, his eyes softened as he thought 'I am such an idiot…' he slapped himself within his mind.

Ruby's passion soon came to an end as she broke her kiss with him lifting herself from his body with a light pant due to the lack of breathes she had taken during the almost minute long kiss. Her bleary eyes locked with Arthurs, a pink flush on her face and a small smile as she said "I love yo-mpfh!?" was all she could say before Arthur threw his free arm around her head placing his hand on the back of her head and forcing her back onto his lips.

Her mind froze like Arthur's had just moments earlier, the only difference being that her mind was still high on dopamine's as her body accepted Arthur's returned embrace with even more passion than her own. Their tongues broke free from their mouths and began to intertwine and explore each other's, mapping out the unexplored areas and marking each other as their own.

Their lungs screamed at them, pleading for a breath of air, but neither was willing to stop, not wanting to end this moment.  But as all things do, their embrace came to an end as Ruby pushed her body away from Arthurs, her body bending to let their lips stay connected as long as possible until her body was unable to bend any further and she had to reluctantly break their embrace.

Her mouth was open, panting trying to get her breath back, a trail of their spit connecting the two, both sets of blurry and unfocused eyes gazed into the other.

"That was…" Arthur trailed off lifting his free hand to his lips in awe

"Amazing" Ruby finished in her daze as she let her head fall onto Arthur's chest letting her hear his rapidly beating heart which she felt beating in sync with her own. She soon felt Arthur's hand slowly and gently caressing her back. Ruby had begun to draw circles on his chest using her index finger, as a sweet atmosphere filled the room.

"Wow, I never knew my sister could be so assertive in bed~" Yang said, freezing both Ruby and Arthur's gentle caresses as their heads mechanically turned to Yang who now had one of her hands resting against  Arthur's belly while the other was still lodged under Arthur's neck.

"Y-Yang…" Arthur stuttered out but was stopped as Yang's eyes locked to his with a wide smile

"And you" her voice turned serious causing Arthur to gulp in fear "Nice work!" her expression brightened as she gave him a thumbs up with her free hand surprising him "Though, you need some work done, I would be more than willing to help you practice~" she said with a licentious grin.

"After all, it's the least you owe me after this" she said as she puffed out her chest showing off her yellow sports bra, and indicated to the two small nubs that were poking through the fabric outlining her nipples. Ruby's eyes widened for a moment before closing into a squint as a light 'growl' came from her.

Arthur's face turned red as he stared at the two mounds that were forced in front of him "Th-that is, Um, I-I…" his mind unable to comprehend the moment until he saw Yang smile disappear as she took a gulp and began to lean forward.

"Oh no you don't!" Ruby shouted as she tackled her sister from the bed and away from Arthur.

"Gah!" Yang let out as her back impacted the ground, her eyes quickly darted to Ruby who had grabbed both her wrists and was attempting to force them onto the ground to prevent her from moving. Yang, being the great sister she was, immediately broke free from Ruby's grapple using her superior strength and reversed it so that Ruby was now lying face down on the ground with Yang sitting atop her back as she struggled to get free.

"Yang! Ruby! Stop this! You're sisters!" Arthur called out to the two as he quickly got up from the bed and tried to pry the two from each other, but failed miserably as Yang just pushed him away with one hand.

"Arthur, don't. I've been meaning to speak with Ruby for awhile now. Just go, we'll see you later" she said

"But…" Arthur tried to argue

"GO!" Yang screamed as she pointed to the door, effectively silencing him as he opened his mouth in an attempt to retort but closed his mouth as he turned to his door, looking back before he opened it and asked "Please, at least don't hurt each other. You're sisters, don't let me come between you two." And he left the room to the two sisters.

The door quickly closed behind him, he turned around wanting to go back in and somehow mediate between the two, but he knew that it would be better for them to talk it out on their own.

Letting out a tired sigh Arthur let his back fall against the wall next to his door, letting his body slowly fall to the ground until he was sitting, he brought his knees up to his chest and put his hands on the back of his head letting out tired groans into his knees.

His mind so occupied with the recent occurrence that he didn't even notice that door to team RWBYs room had opened and Summer had walked through it.

"Nice that you're up. Hope you didn't leave them unsatisfied" Arthur let out a loud and heavy groan at Summer's teasing.

"Let's just go… I… need to punch something…"

"Get off of me!" Ruby shouted her struggles intensifying once Arthur left the room

"Calm down" Yang stated to her

"No!" she refuted "Get. Off. Of.Me!" she ordered once again

"Calm. Down." Yang responded in kind 

"Why!? Why are you doing this!?" She asked, letting her arms and legs fall still as she turned her head to look at her sister with tears in her eyes.

"Because, I care about you Ruby, and what you're doing is just asking for trouble. We need to talk, Rubes." Yang gently explained.

"Is being in love trouble!? And if you cared, why would you try and kiss him!?" Ruby's voice was furious.

"Well, at least you know you're in love." Yang muttered and let out a sigh as she slowly began to stand up, letting Ruby go, much to her surprise as she cautiously watched Yang sit back down on the edge of Arthurs bed, patting the spot next to her.

"Ruby, we need to talk"

As I've said to Daijena in the comments in the chapter before this one, where he asked what the cover would be.

All the covers (Akashic, Akashic: the Tome and Silver Eclipse) are temporary until I can get covers made for me, by either myself or hire someone else to do it for me.

Now this raises a few problems, the first, I am not a great artist, I can create decent sketches for weapons and armour, but apart from that I can't really draw much more. I will try to design something but hold no hopes.

Then there is outsourcing the design, I simply do not have the money for this. So this option is out on the get go.

But there is a final possibility, I could hold a small competition where you guys can send in your own cover designs and either letting me decide on a winner or leaving it up to a vote. Do know, I won't be able to reward you anything monetary, maybe let the winner design their own character or decide on a future world Arthur could visit in either a quest or as his next world after RWBY (Though that will be far in the future as I currently have no intentions of leaving RWBY any time soon)

So let me know what you guys think competition or no competition (Also give ideas for what I could reward the winner. So long as it ain't monetary or require me selling my body. Keep it to the story or to aspects of the story)

mado smiled after he saw the last notice.

mado snapped his fingers and laptop appear on his table, the sudden appear of the laptop made all the students looked at the laptop curiously since this's their first time seeing a laptop.
"mado-sensei what is this thing"nasawa asked.

mado didn't bother himself with explaining and just told them that he will tell them later, he sat on the chair and opned the laptop.

mado made an internet with 100G per second speed and downloaded basic things for the laptop.

after he done with that he start programming an applications that he will put on the phones that he will give to his students.

this application he want to make to his students ,and it have some uses, like magic storage with space to 50 items, and a map with all the shops and tge other places in this world, and there's a magic books have mado's lectures fore them to study and some basic things.

after he few minutes he done of programming he snapped his fingers and made 14 phone with design of Samsung Galaxy S 12 and he put design magic on it the owner of this phones can change it color and made a cover with it.
mado contact the phones with the laptop using his mana and the applications start transfer to the phones.

"now stop what u doing and put your attention on me" mado start explaining about the phones and the applications that he put on them after that he gave th the phones.

"you can explore your phones now if you want" mado daid and snapped his fingers.

and cool black headphone appear, he put them on and connect th with his laptop and downloaded a move to watch.

and after 55 minutes of watching mado take the headphone off and looked at aurora who was looking at him while sitting on the chair facing him.

he looked her face and said "let's go" they walked out of the class mado met the reception that met yesterday and talked with her for short time.

after that he was walking with aurora on there way to her fatger office, but mado stopped after he saw little girl with beautiful black hair was crying so he went to her and asked with his gentle smile "may i know why this little beauty crying here…?"

the girl looked at him and tried to stop crying and said with teary eyes " I- sob I was wi- sob with my mom but- sob sob but i lost her in the crowd.".

mado patted her head and said "ok i will look for your mom with you, aurora do you want to come with us or will you givee the address of your father office…??" mado asked aurora and answered hime that she have nothing else to do so she will go with him.

"so now stop crying, and tell me your name" mado asked her name.
"m- sob my name is nina" nina said while wiping her tears.

"ok now nina-chan let go looking for your mom" mado put nina on his shoulders and said "hold me tightly, let's walk and look for your mam" mado start walking and thought ' sara use information gathering and look for nina's mom'.

he stopped at food stall and asked "both of you do you, are you hangry" the nodded in response.

mado snapped his fingers and burger apper this time will not be like the last time since he used the first magic and not the imagine magic, and because of his 100 in cooking proficiency he can made the burger better.
mado gave one burger each and start eat one himself with hand and hold nina's hand with the other one to let her eat mor comfortable.

mado walked to the beautiful woman who look like she's on her late twenties and have a straight long black hair.
mado put nina down and greeted her mom " hello my name's mado nice to meet you".

"no she didn't bother me, i did have fun while walking with her, and I'm happy that i could make this beautiful pair of maother and daughter meet again" mado said with gentle smile.

a hint of blush on her face  but it get redder after her stomach made sounds.
ahe was really embarrassed but she could help she was looking for her daughter for abou 2 hours and with the aroma of tge burger on the hand of her daughter she got hungry.

mado made another burger and said "do you want…?".

she take it and said " thank you" with her red and cute face.

"mira-chan let's set and eat" mado sat at the table in the near restaurant with the three with them.

"let's start eat" mado start eating and they followed him.

"thanks for the compliment" mado said with smile, this burger have been made by him even if it's a magic but if some one made it relying on the magic only it wont be that delicious.

they ate there food and started to talk to each other.
