Soon another year passed and nothing eventful happened in the vault.
I was now 10 Years Old and today I would be given a Pipboy!
I got up from my table in the Library and started heading to the room where my family lives in the vault.
As soon as I entered our home I found that it was dark, but suddenly the lights were turned on and I was momentarily blinded for a second.
"Surprise!" My Mother, Father, and a few other people said at the same time.
"Jeez, a little warning next time? I fear I may go blind if yall do this again..."  I told everyone.
"Sorry about that." my parents apologized.
"Congratulations on your birthday," an old man told me before walking towards me with a pipboy in hand.
I instantly became shocked upon seeing this old man.
It was Overseer Charles Flair!
I bowed before the overseer but he pats me on my shoulder and told me "No need to bow, I am merely here to see the promising Genius of our vault and congratulate him on becoming 10 years old."
Overseer Charles then handed me a Pip-Boy 3000 Mark IV.
[A/N: The Pip-Boy 3000 Mark IV is the fourth iteration of the Pip-Boy 3000 line and includes a number of design enhancements. The control dials were moved from the left side of the device to the right to improve accessibility and the biometric lock and glove were replaced by a simple latch, allowing for quick and easy removal. I said hello to everyone and partied for a few hours with them before the Overseer visited me.
"Young Osiris, do you mind visiting me in my office tomorrow morning?" Overseer Charles asked.
"Sure!" I told the overseer with a smile on my face even though I was panicking inside.
Why does he want me to see him in his office?
Is he going to have me killed?
I calmed myself down and soon the party ended.
I walked into my room and closed the door behind me.
I made sure it was locked before sitting at my desk.
My room was quite bare and empty and contained nothing of any significance.
I opened my Pipboy and examined some of its contents.

If I remember correctly Atom's Blessing is a unique trait that most members of the Children of Atom have, currently the Church of the Children of Atom is located in Megaton and has not spread out past the town yet.
When Fallout 4's events begin the Children of Atom have spread to the commonwealth and are quite aggressive, they kill most people on sight with their Gamma Weapons that irradiate people to death.
Although there are some groups of the Church of the Children of Atom that are friendly most children of atom kill on sight.
I scanned through the rest of my Pipboy and found that most things in my inventory were normal and held no importance in my mind.
I opened the Map Tab and found myself looking at a large map of the world.
It was empty and had no markers or locations.
It did however have the vault on the map.
I found that the vault was located near a small town called Morristown to the west of New York.
[A/N: Morristown is a real place in the world and it is located to the west of New York, I spent a few hours looking around New York on Google Earth and all I saw was civilization for countless miles. I am too lazy to see if Morristown existed back before the divergence and I certainly don't care, so It's now in the fallout universe either way! Also, I am too lazy to look through New York block by block so I will just roll with it, some buildings in real-world new york will end up in this novel and some that do exist may not appear in this novel]

(Before you being reading please read the following warning: Although I have been writing for a little over a year, I have a track record of writing plot holes or do not even notice plot holes until I am informed or I go back and see them myself)

What happens when a Nerd awakens after falling asleep and mysteriously dying to find that he has somehow reincarnated into the Fallout Universe and to top it all off reincarnated into Vault 22 as some kind of monster?

In the end, Mr. Tao accepted the first-round TV broadcast rights of Blazing Teens and promised that the show would be broadcasted as soon as possible at prime time. Afterward, Mr. Tao enthusiastically offered to show Meng Lang around the TV station.
Meng Lang tactfully turned down the offer. After leaving Jiangchuan TV, he immediately went to the airport and boarded the first flight for Zhonghai.
Zhonghai, Shangjing, Xiangnan, Pengcheng…
Meng Lang travelled up and down the country and managed to sign broadcast contracts with 12 provincial TV stations.
Of the 12, five had promised to broadcast Blazing Teens on their comprehensive channels, which had a broader audience base, and the other seven were going to broadcast it on their children's channels.
While Meng Lang was busy negotiating deals on broadcasting Blazing Teens, a piece of information went viral in the film and TV industry.
"Some stupid second rich generation spent 10 million on making a TV series, then gave it to the TV channels to broadcast for free…"
"Seriously? Can someone be that stupid? Does his family own trees that grow money?"
"I don't care about where he gets the money from, just tell me how the TV series is."
"I've asked. It's so bad! Like, incurably bad! And it's a feature show!"
"Feature show? Do people still make such outdated things?"
"I told you he was stupid!"
The discussion in the industry hadn't affected Meng Lang yet, probably because he hadn't been in this world for long and knew no one in the circle.
But it didn't take long for the discussion to go beyond the circle and soon reached the internet.
It first started when a famous director known from Chinese New Year movies bombarded actors and actresses in his Weibo posts, saying that their exorbitant salaries led to the increase in production costs, but the increase in the quality of the films wasn't proportionate to that of the cost.
And the director, who was nicknamed "small cannon", went on and on about that issue until he finally got straight to the point, saying that the root of all problems was the inflows of speculative money, which created too many bubbles in the film and TV industry.
At the mention of this, the director complained. "Is the inflow of capital a good thing? I was told that with generous investors, there will be much less constraint during the shooting, but if you ask me, although the investors are putting in more money, the actors and actresses are getting paid much more, too. When you add in the extra cost of the increased salary, the profit of the film remains the same. Am I right?"
What an obnoxious man!
Actors and actresses sneered at his speech and some were even cursing him behind his back. "Pork used to be a lot cheaper back in the days, but I don't see you accusing the rise in pork prices."
One had to admit that although those working in the industry found the director's opinion contemptuous, the online general public enjoyed it.
The online community supported "small cannon", saying that they were reading more and more news on overpaid actors and actresses and that the production company had spent all the money on the salaries, leaving no money for making good films.
So far, it was still a famous director complaining about overpriced actors and actresses.
But "small cannon" was never afraid of offending other people. Not only did he mention the invasion of capital into the film and TV industry, but he had even listed Meng Lang as an example.
"I heard about this deal recently, which I found rather funny. Let me tell you about it."
"A film and television company was founded at Jiangchuan recently and it shouldn't have been a big deal. Capital invasion didn't happen yesterday. So be it." 
"But that company was something!"
"How so? It was backed with a lot of money and has made a TV series just to satisfy its boss, with no regard for its cost. I heard that they've completed the shooting in three months with an investment of several million. Once completed, they didn't sell it, but let the TV channels run it for free." 
"When I heard about this news, I felt so sorry for my fellow workers in the TV industry. We're all doing the same line of work and cherish our careers."
"This troublemaker just came out of nowhere. He doesn't respect the job, but decided to make a feast of pigwash for his guests. Naturally, the guests won't be pleased after eating the pig wash and will blame someone for it. But who will they blame? Since the cook himself doesn't live on the thing he made and took off after cooking, the guests will have no one to vent their anger, so they'll have to blame it on other cooks."
In the end, the director concluded. "The capital invasion has led to an increase in the salary, which I'm against. Of course, there's good and bad capital. We welcome companies like XX Capital, but not someone, like a certain film and television company in Jiangchuan!"
Sitting in the airport lounge, Meng Lang read every single word of the director's complaint he posted on Weibo.
Meng Lang agreed with some of, if not all of his opinions.
But he was speechless when the director named him as the villain and vicious capital.
Why would a filmmaker lash out at someone making TV series?
Plus, that metaphor was so out of line!
Quality-wise, Blazing Teens was indeed no annual hit show. After all, it was limited by the production cost and the positioning. 
But surely, it was no pigwash!
Blazing Teens was a feature show targeted for children and a toy advertisement campaign in the disguise of a TV show.
Since it was for children, the quality was just about right.
Was "Legend of Zhen Huan" a good TV series? Yes!
But did children like it? No!
And that was the difference between the two types.
Meng Lang figured that the director complaining on Weibo probably didn't know what kind of show Blazing Teens was and only mentioned it to express his resentment.
Ever since Meng Lang started shooting Blazing Teens, he had never thought about selling the broadcast rights. He would count himself lucky for broadcasting a well-packaged yo-yo advertisement on TV channels without paying them. He had never expected to make money from it.
What was wrong with this world?
Meng Lang racked his brain, but still couldn't figure it out. All the countries in this world had a thorough mechanism for protecting intellectual property rights and piracy had been cracked down on until it vanished for good.
Under such circumstances, peripheral products of films and TV words should at least have become a major revenue source, if not enjoyed a leap-forward development.
However, he had searched and searched online, but found no one in this world trying the development path of combining films and TV works with toys.
Aofei Anime didn't exist anymore, Bandai had switched to produce semiconductors, Hasbo became a cosmetic company, and Disney never seemed to exist in the first place…
An industry of peripheral products of films and TV works did exist and relevant toys were being sold.
But the problem was, the peripheral products in this world leaned toward "complete" rather than "specific". 
That was to say, for a hit film or TV work, a lot of products such as toys, adapted novels, games, clothes, and phone cases could be released to the market, but they were all by-products.
It had never occurred to anyone that they would make a TV series or film just to sell toys or peripheral products. Most of the time, it was the other way around. Film/TV series came first, then the derived products.
Since the jump-off points differed, the outcomes were different, too.


Meng Lang wakes up in a parallel universe as a fresh graduate only to realize that Pengda Toy Factory—his family business—is on the verge of bankruptcy. So, he decides to do what he does best (in his previous life) to save the day—making TV shows.
Apparently, this alternative reality where piracy has been annihilated can be a paradise for spin-off merchandise, but no production company has made good used of this opportunity until Meng Lang shows up.
Blazing Teens, the first feature show Meng Lang directs ("borrowed" from his original universe, to be more precise) introduces yo-yos to this world for the first time. Once he realizes how profitable it is to sell spin-off toys, he becomes an expert in it.
Balala the Fairies, Explosive Boys, Kamen Rider… Meng Lang is determined to become “King of feature shows” in this world. Although, to the critics, he is nothing but a toy vender…

Several mouse clicks could be heard inside a small apartment inside the Asakusa area...

The grey-haired girl named Honoka had already gotten some rest and wasn't feeling fatigued anymore was currently sitting on the floor browsing some online stores for her costume's materials.

The sound of her phone's ringtone gets her attention which made her let go of the mous to pick it up.

The notifications she just got were from the chat group app on her phone, the notification stated that there were around ten messages were sent to the said chat group.

She quickly unlocked her phone and tapped on the aforementioned notification and it opened the app.

Honoka saw Yuuki's name in the conversation who was currently online on the chat group and was talking to some people about the time and place for the meetup at the upcoming summer event.

"How about at the mall behind the full scale mech statue?"

A member with a anime girl as a profile picture suggested to meetup inside Odaiba-Kaihinkoen Station, which was arounf forty four minutes from Asakusa station/Honoka's area.

But two other people disagreed due to the fact that some might get lost inside.

Afterwards the person named "Azuki" suggested to meetup by the full scale mech that was in Shiokaze Park.

"You really love you're mechs, huh~?" 

Yuuki jested at the mech model-loving member's suggestion.

"It's not like that! It's just easier to meetup there, that's all."

Azuki spoke back with a pouting emoji at the end of her message.

"It'll be too hot if the meetup was at that place..." Honoka replied, the other members had no idea that she was half snow woman felt a little bit confused as to why she had said this.

Yuuki seeing that Honoka who was actually paying attention to the chat added: 

"For those who don't know Honoka is half snow woman, half oni so she can't just stand around outside due to her snow woman traits."


The other members sent replies as Yuuki's message got sent that said: "Oh cool!", "A oni-snow woman? that's rare..."

Along with one other member saying: "Let's do the meetup that's indoors then. Like... The mall behind that mech?"

"That'll do, as long as it's in shade... Thank you..." Honoka replied sounding like she was speaking in monotone along with the thought of how understanding and kind the members were.


"Ok, It's that place then. Now then, should we wait for all of us get changed into our costumes before? or Should we do it before then just meetup again afterwards?" 

Yuuki broke up the meetup place part of the discussion with a quick reply and now starting the meetup time...

Meanwhile Honoka quickly averts her sight from her phone and back to her laptop's screen and begun to browse through online stores once again feeling a bit bored.

"They are chap but... My problem is the quality of the fabric..." 

She murmured whilst scrolling down a online store.

Several replies from the members came in making both of their smartphones go off
after the members got the reply.

Fortunately though Honoka had already finished working on the draft of the lastest volume of her light novel and her editor gave a OK on it, and so her publisher gave her two whole weeks of free time before she needed to start writing once again.

The unfortunate thing about this is once two weeks have passed she'd barely have any free time to look for materials due to how long it takes to write a whole volume plus the deadline that she needs to catch up on.

Honoka was right about to check out the items that she had placed on her when suddenly...

Her phone started ringing because of a upcoming call interupting her online shopping.

She picked it up from the table and saw that it was her mother that was calling her.

She answered with a "hello?" as she pressed answer.

"Sorry to bother you dear but are you busy?

Do you have time to chat on the phone?"

Her mother's could be heard clearly from her phone's ear speaker.

Honoka was only browsing the net whilst chatting with people online said yes to her mother's inquiry.

THer mother asked about the things that any parent that had a child live in another place would ask about.

Honoka expecting her to ask about these things everytime she called answered honestly.

As their conversation continued on, Honoka clicked on the check out button on the online store from before finishing her order for the fabric with the "express delivery" option checked.

The only problem that she had was if she were to accidentally reveal that she cosplays to her parents or if they found out from somewhere...

Even if she was asked by her parents about it she'd just make something up to hide it.

Her call with her mother ended with the question regarding wether or not she had a boyfriend already, ofcourse this made Honoka feel a little bit awkward and just says goodbye along with "Something urgent just came up, I need to hang up." on the phone and hung up.

After which her phone went back to the home screen instead of the chat group app...

'Geez... Mom always asks about it... Does she want grand children that badly...? No, I don't have the time for that right now!'

She let out a sigh which made the redness of her face from the awkwardness and embarrassment of her parent's question.

She stretched her body right after she placed her smartphone back on the table in front of her, then proceeded to the kitchen area of her apartment to grab a bottle of red tea inside her fridge.

'Now all I have to do is wait for the fabrics to arrive...'

"ding!"

Her phone went off once again because of a notification from the chat group app.

A message on the "Announcements" section of the chat group had appeared...

"Meetup for the summer doujinshi event will be at the mall behind the full size mech at odaibe.

Days: All four Days

Meetup Time: 1PM

Note: If you're planning to cosplay and going to the meetup... Please get changed into your costume first before going to the meetup."

Is what was written by Yuuki in that section where only the moderators of the chat group could send messages- announcements on, they had also agreed to that meetup time whilst Honoka was busy talking to her mother on the phone.

Another "ding!" sound shortly followed after  the first one had made Honoka's smartphone go off with Yuuki sending her a direct message on the same app.

"I was wondering... Do you have any SNS accounts?"

A female immortal around the age of 800 decided to join a chat group for cosplayers that had members that are immortals, vampires, hackers, demons, and many more immortal creatures including some fantasy creatures as members.

But the only problem is she has almost no experience in cosplaying and only has a year of experience and writes light novels as a job so she barely has anytime to work on her costumes.

Bethany is 3 years old now, will be turning 4 very soon. She was underweight before she was born, so Dara tried her best to gain Bethany's weight. 

Yes, of course.

Dara gained herself some weight. Dara thought, "it's fine, I will get to my normal weight after delivering her to birth. Just exactly the way I did when I have  Christian."

Indeed. She lost some weight. But the problem was that the weight loss was a lot less than the weight gain. Although she's not in an obese state, still she felt a bit insecure in the beginning.

But Dara knew she can't complain, and she had no time for any strict diet or any weight loss program because of breastfeeding. So she just accepted her new shape. And she kept on accepting it for the next couple of years. She keeps on trying to be happy in her skin.

And just today, after all these years, she met a fitness trainer through online media, she just can't stop thinking and getting excited about how she will get back to her dream shape in an easier way and for free. Wow! Fitness trainer for free! Who wouldn't be excited to see how it goes?

It's late in the afternoon, Dara is examining Christian's homework while her children are enjoying Friday's ice cream with chocolate chips and cereal sprinkles and smoothies. Singapore and Greece have 5 hours time difference, so it's around lunch break for Dara's new coach.

Dara's phone bipping. She knows it's from her 'coach'. She unlocks her phone but doesn't open the chat room, seeing what her coach sent her. It was only a greeting because they haven't talked at all today. Suddenly Dara remembered that she doesn't know his real name after almost a week of talking.

Dara replies his "good afternoon" with a  short line of a  message, "good afternoon to you too."

Then she adds one more when she sees that he is online, "I'm checking my son's homework, I will reply to you soon enough when I'm done with kids."
He replies in a few seconds, "sure babe, go on."

Dara smiles seeing his quick reply and how understanding he is every time Dara mentions her children. He never sounds impatient or cynical or jealous after found out that Dara has a little family. Always sounds patient and sympathetic and he's always fun.

They haven't seen each other's face, but Dara has already felt good vibes from that man. She has opened the other chats that she got on the same day as she met K, but they were boring or perverted or weird people.

There was a man who had this on his bio "I'm a fun and open-minded person, here looking for friends from all around the world." And Dara was attracted to him because of the nice pictures of himself and his holiday pictures from different countries. 

They talked quite a bit in the introduction. He was a Canadian. He had so many beautiful pictures of nature from different parts of the world,  but mostly mountains and hills. Seemed that he likes outdoor sporty activities such as hiking or climbing. She could say that from his physical appearance that was quite well-shaped with a broad chest.

They liked each other and chatted for quite an intense first day before he found out that Dara is married and has two children the next day. He suddenly ended the chat room, leaving Dara confused with a jaw-dropping. And she thought, "did I say anything wrong?"

That annoyed her a lot and made her grumpy for hours before she met a nice woman. Dara told her what was happening between her and the Canadian. Then the woman named Jules explained that the Canadian probably wanted sex with her, and chatting with a married woman was not his intention. Dara thought that Jules might be right and she felt better with that assumption.

She talked quite a few with Jules and she shared some of her experiences on the Tinkle app which one of those had led her to a real romance a while ago but then they broke up recently and here she was once again for another one. 

Dara enjoyed being on the Tinkle app, and she wrote her books and comic titles on her bio in efforts to promote them. "Great work, Dara, you hit two birds with one stone! New friends yes, promoting your work yes!" 

She met another new chatter, a good looking built-up man named Dean in a proper suit and bald head. His bio was "I'm a dominant man looking for an Asian submissive mature woman," which made Dara think a bit and wanted to ask about his bio. But she decided to pass him away without greeting him back because she didn't intend to have any heavy conversation.

They greeted each other then Dara asked, "what are you rating about?"
"Oh, you read that? Not everyone read bios though," he said nicely.
"Really?"
"Yeap. I mostly asked them by myself, haha."
"Ohh… I am new to this. But I really enjoy reading people's bio because I always find something different."
"Yeah, sometimes I read too, but not always."
"Soo… what are you rating?"
"Are you sure you're interested?"
"I might be, why do you ask me back that way?"
"Because you're Asian. Most Asians don't do this. Well, I know, culture."
"Culture? So your rating stuff is related to cultures?"
"Well, no."
"What is it then?"
"Hmm...okay. Since you are so insisting. I rate boobs."

He actually wants to pay half of the dinner bill. But he also realise if he paid even just half of it, it will means he had to live in poverty for the whole month.
Or maybe he just paid for himself. He thinks he still can manage it if he paid for himself. He doesn't want to take advantage of Jian Ge's kindness. But it will be weird if he paid for himself and also seems to insult Jian Ge's kind intention.
So finally, Bai Yutang could only ask his friend not to order anything and just let Jian Ge order for them. In that way, at least it will ease his mind a little bit. He also remind his friends to dress properly.
His friends also coming back to the university today. They bring a lot of food from their hometown. They enjoy the lively dinner in the dorm and happily chatting about their holiday. They also congratulating Bai Yutang for his increasing grade on last semester even though he was hospitalised before the exam.
On Friday, all four of them going to the campus administration office to reconfirm this semester registration. They already do that online from home. But to check and choose your professor schedule, you still need to go the office.
At the office, they also meet a bunch of their juniors and seniors doing the same thing. In the corner, there are one group of junior girls. Among them, this one particular girl keep stealing some glances at them.
This girl have a bit chubby rosy cheeks, with medium long straight hair and bangs that made her face looks like high school student. Her eyes is almond round, with big round glasses. Her lips is also rosy with small petals, it was emphasize her cuteness. 
Bai Yutang and Yu Dong is already get used to this kind of stare. Usually it was directed to Tang Yuxuan or Liu Xiang. That's why both of them a little bit surprised when this girl keep looking at both of them, even though Tang Yuxuan and Liu Xiang already went into different office.
Once again, they thought maybe this girl want to ask for Tang Yuxuan's contact or information. It also happen few times before.
Anyway, their faces can't hide their shock when this girl finally walk towards their direction when they exit the office. She was stuttered and her face blushed, asking if both of them playing Magallan. She said that she noticed their phone case is from Magallan elemental signs. 
Bai Yutang is the first one to recovered. It reminds him with the first time Jian Ge talk to him. It was also because his phone case. He politely replied confirming her question, and this girl seems want to talk a bit more but too nervous.
Bai Yutang suddenly remember Jian Ge. <i>What will Jian Ge do in this kind of situation?</i>
So he smiled to the girl, and ask her whether she play Magallan too. She answered yes, and Bai Yutang repeating the conversation when Jian Ge talk to him for the first time in the plane. But this time, he was the conversation initiator and not the one who passively answered.
This girl seems really glad and gradually start to lose her anxiety and talk more comfortably with them. Yu Dong also finally recovered, Bai Yutang tried to involve him too in the conversation. Make him talk some more to this girl.
The three of them walking out from the office together to give spaces for the people inside. They finally exchanging game ID, and promised to do co op tonight together when they're online.
Yu Dong really can't believe he finally meet a real life girl who also playing the same games with him. And this girl also a cute junior of him. Female population in architecture is a little bit more compare to Engineering or IT faculty. But still minority compare to the whole student population.
After dinner, Yu Dong asks Bai Yutang to clear dungeon together. Bai Yutang could hear Yu Dong mumbling in low voice, "I hope that girl is online."

...A dungeon that taks place in an orphanage. Wow, what a coincidence.
As the world brightened before me, I woke up...in a rather large western-style old building. I appeared to be in the main room, with many debris littering on the ground.  The main door leading outside blocked behind me, and as i looked around, I saw many hallways and stairs. Adjusted to the setting, candles from the walls started to flicker, and then I heard something around me.

Children, boys and girls, ranging from 4-9 years old appeared from the hallways and stairs, and they began walking towards me with a smile. As they approached me, candles started dropping on the floor, starting to light the building on fire.
Taking another look at them, they did not seemed affected by the fire at all, as they continued walking up to me.
And then, they started talking.
"Hello Mister, do you want to play a game?"
"How about hide-n-seek?"
"Hey, Mister-!"
They asked me whether to play with them or not, even when the fire starts catching things on fire around me.
At this rate, this whole building will be lighted on fire.
...and that won't be a problem for me.
The fire flickered on to me, but I didn't react to it at all. I'm immune to it after all.

Where the painting once was, was a dark corridor in which there were many curses and traps littering around it. The fire flickering behind me didn't even move towards the corridor, as if it was afraid. The dolls seemed afraid as well, staying far behind me.
Before I walked inside, a blue screen appeared before me.

Then one of the dolls seemed to realize something.
