With this flexible body, she did better than what she usually does when getting kidnapped.

When "Mr. Kidnapper" is still suffering, she ran as fast as she could not wasting anytime for the kidnapper to catch up.

When she ran for at least ten kilometers that is a lot for a kid, she finally stopped.

"Am I really that hyped to escape from the kilometer that I ran that long without breaking a sweat??"

Then again, she just that disturbing question off and explored the village she's in.

Currently, Selina is wearing a light blue long sleeves shirt as a top, and black training pants.
Selina shook her head and answered Alexa's question, "Although they are made by my mother, they aren't Blooming Moon product. These long sleeves shirt and training pants are made by my mother at my request."
"Why did you ask to be made clothes like that?" Alexa asked confused.
"Because it's more comfortable to exercise using this shirt when compared to the bloomer dress."
"Can I order clothes similar to yours? Ah, but I want the top to be pink in color," asked Alexa with hope.
"Of course you can, as long as you're not ashamed of being watched by people for wearing clothes that are different from those used by noble daughters."
"Don't worry. Confidence is one of my best values!"
"Eeengh... Why are you two so noisy in this early morning?" Emily asked, rolling her eyes.
Emma who also woke up from her sleep then changed her position to sit on her bed.
"Ah... sorry we have Physical Exercise for the first lesson today so we have to get up early. Sorry if we disturb your sleep," Selina said apologetically.
"No problem. Soon we also have to get up and get ready for class today," Emma said with a smile.
"Why are you wearing that instead of bloomer dress, Lina?" Emily asked.

"Hmm, yes it seems lighter than the bloomer dress worn by Alexa," exclaimed Daniel.
Selina and Alexa nodded their heads in agreement with Daniel's words. Not long after, Teacher Ava Parker or just Teacher Ava came to teach them in today's Physical Exercise lesson. Teacher Ava has taught them since they are in the first year.
"Good morning, students! For the first Physical Exercise lesson for this year, I want you to run around the field twice."
"Good morning, Teacher Ava!"
They began to run around the field. After they managed to run around the field twice, they stopped at the place they started earlier.
"Hosh... Hosh... Hosh..." Alexa was out of breath.
"Are you okay, Alex?" Selina asked worriedly, stroking Alexa's back.

Its use makes fresh skin grow over a wound and after application, the wound seems several days old. Díktamo has dark green stems and leaves. This plant is also often called a burning bush. The first person who can find this plant in this greenhouse will get díktamo elixir which can heal wounds and remove scars. 1... 2... 3... The search begins! "
All Class 1 members immediately occupied themselves in searching for the díktamo plant.
"Lina, do you know what the díktamo plant looks like besides what Teacher Charles explained?" Alexa asked.
"As far as I know díktamo has white, woolly, weak stems, thick leaves, and pinkish flower clusters," Selina answered.
"Hmm… It's hard," Alexa complained.
Selina just nodded her head in agreement.
Before five minutes had passed, Jackson exclaimed happily and said that he had found díktamo to Teacher Charles.
"Teacher Charles, I found the díktamo you asked me to!"
"Where? Ah... unfortunately this is not the plant that I asked for. Please try again Jackson." Teacher Charles patted Jackson's shoulder lightly.
"Huff... even though I thought I have found it."
After seeing Jackson, who apparently failed to find díktamo, Selina returned to look for the plant in the greenhouse. She continued to walk around looking at plants that resembled the description of díktamo in the book she was reading. Shortly after, near the back corner of the greenhouse, Selina saw a plant that matched the descriptions in the book she was reading.
Selina immediately ran and was about to touch the plant. However, there is another hand that also grabs the same plant from the opposite direction from Selina.
"Huh?" Selina raised her head to see who her competitor was.
"Hua?"
"Rosenfeld?" cried Arthur and Selina together.
"Remove your hands from this díktamo. I touched it first," Arthur said.
"Who said you touched it first? We touch it simultaneously," Selina responded back.
"Then I am the one who sees it first."
"Why is that so? Then I am the one who sees it before you."
"You can only follow my words, huh? What a pity," Arthur said with his trademark grin.
"Who follows your words? It's obvious that I saw it first," Selina dismissed Arthur's words.
Teacher Charles approached the two of them.
"Hmm... It turns out you two managed to find the plant that I asked for. So who is the first person that discovered this díktamo?" Asked Teacher Charles.
"Me!"
"Me!" Arthur and Selina said together.
"I am the first one who finds this plant!"
"No, I am." Selina and Arthur continue to clash with each other.
"They both started the debate again," said Alexa seeing the same thing happen again.
"En. They are never stopped fighting with each other," Daniel said from behind Alexa.
"Daniel?"
"Yes?"
"Why is Arthur always looking for trouble with Selina? As far as I am concerned, if something like this happens with other students Arthur will let them go without as much as a debate," Alexa asked Daniel.
"I also do not know. I asked Arthur once and Arthur said he was happy to see Selina's angry face," Daniel answered.
"Do you think the real reason Arthur always provokes Selina is that he likes Selina and wants to get attention from her?" Alexa told Daniel her hypothesis.
"It is such a coincidence. I also think the same thing." Daniel nodded his head
"What about Selina herself?" Daniel asked Alexa.
"Selina doesn't seem to realize that she's interested in Arthur yet," Alexa answered.
"The road between the two of them is still very long."
"Yeah... I hope the two of them can be together later."
"I hope so too."

"...All right," Arthur and Selina answered simultaneously, which ended with them glaring at each other.
"Just this time, Rosenfeld!" said Selina sarcastically to Arthur.
"Huh? That should be my word, Hua," Arthur said, supporting his head with his right palm.

The aliens that built the crystal ruins always fascinated Ves. Through his continued proximity to the crystal city, he imagined an increasingly detailed picture of their race.

The crystal builders very likely evolved from a terrestrial planet not too divergent from the terran standard. This meant they likely looked like organisms from the terran animal kingdom. Throughout the galaxy, nature often led to the same solutions to the same problems. That was also why humanoid-looking aliens were remarkably common in the galaxy.

Some radical scientists even believed that some outside force had artificially inflated the prevalence of sexually dimorphic humanoids with two arms, two legs and a head. Of course, no one believed them. The most predominant theory was that the shift from walking on four limbs to walking on two limbs freed up the forelimbs for the usage of tools, which subsequently led to the birth of civilization.

These kinds of humanoid aliens made up a substantial amount of species in the galaxy.

The crystal builders happened to be a variant of the standard humanoid form. As Ves peered over the remarkably preserved corpse through the portal, he noted that it was as small as he imagined.

The tiny corpse possessed a weird face with cavities all around its uneven ball-like shape. Ves couldn't figure out which senses corresponded with any of the cavities. One hole might turn out to be the mouth while the other could be an ear.

Its torso possessed a natural hunch, which meant the alien likely walked around while holding a naturally bent posture akin to primates. Nevertheless, their arms were remarkably short and stubby even for their stature, as if they had atrophied through long generations of neglect. Their legs looked lean and normal, with much wider soles and more bend into them in order to stabilize their hunched posture.

"They look like little puppets."

Another amusing thought sprang into his mind. He imagined a kid playing around with living crystal builders. The kid grabbed two of them with each hand and smashed them against each other, not caring at all how much he hurt the aliens.

Ves shook his head. He couldn't help but belittle these tiny aliens despite their impressive technological achievements. It was human instinct to treat any creature smaller than themselves as toys or pets.

Such assumptions could be dangerously negligent, as some species of small aliens possessed a lot of might.

"Lucky, don't eat the corpse. Bring it back to me!"

Fortunately, Lucky appeared to obey him without any fudging this time. As a gem cat, his favorite food consisted of mundane and exotic minerals. Actual flesh and blood hardly whetted his appetite. Lucky carefully grasped the corpse with his maw and flew back through the portal before depositing it onto his outstretched gauntlet.

"Curious."

Ves had no idea how much time had passed since the alien had died, but it must have been millions of years at the very least. Why hadn't it decomposed?

Ves whipped up his trusty Vulcaneye and meticulously scanned the alien.

He quickly found out why the corpse hadn't broken down all these years. The alien had actually replaced his flesh with a flexible crystal substance. Certain cavities within the body must have hosted the brains and other vitally important organs. They had long been broken down into dust, leaving only an empty shell behind.

"Even for the crystal builders, this must be an extravagant procedure."

He imagined this alien once held a very high status among his race. He might even be the master of the crystal garden.

While Ves would never in a million years wish to replace his body with a mechanical equivalent, he still found this corpse to be of utmost importance. It was a potential treasure in the eyes of those who pursued immortality through mechanising their bodily functions.

The supple, flexible crystals that bent when he lightly squeezed them with his gauntlet also held a lot of value. If Ves could derive its composition and reproduce it in his labs, he might be able to invent a new substance that would be ideal in armoring the joints and other parts of a mech that needed a of flexibility.

"It's likely to be extraordinarily expensive."

From what Ves could gather from the readings of his Vulcaneye, the exotics used in the flexible crystal exceeded the ones used in the solid crystal ruins. Thus, any attempt to derive some value out of the flexible crystal could only be put off until his career had advanced.

Ves put away the crystal builder's corpse and ordered Lucky to dig up the crystal garden for any other treasures.

The portal opened and closed several times. For safety's sake, Ves always called back Lucky to his side of the portal before it closed. Although the crystal city's portal generator worked fine so far, Ves would be a fool to assume that ancient alien technology worked flawlessly after countless eons of neglect.

The crystal garden suffered a very different outcome from the crystal city and the crystal palace. The aliens abandoned the latter two, but the former still held a single powerful occupant. Perhaps a retinue of servants and bodyguards had accompanied the crystal cyborg to their deaths, but nothing of their existence remained in the ruined garden.

As Lucky dug out the uneven crystal structures in the garden, Ves studied the sample of the plantmeat that Lucky had also brought back. The Vulcaneye read out a bunch of data that only exobiologists would understand.

All he knew for certain was that it was actually still alive and that it possessed both plant-like and flesh-like traits. Considering that it had grown over the crystal garden and survived for who knew how long, Ves suspected that it might be some kind of bioweapon.

"A clash between two different alien civilizations perhaps?"

Besides the sample of plantmeat, Ves hadn't found any traces of the threat the crystal builders faced. All of their history was lost to time, and only their most enduring creations remained to prove their existence. So many races rose and fell in the galaxy that Ves hardly shed a tear to the passing of another race.

Humanity was a practical race. They only cared about the benefits. Most of the time, that meant exterminating any aliens they came across and loot the best parts of their technology for humanity's own use.

Ves merely thought of himself as someone who followed that trend as he instructed Lucky to crack open the crystal structures, which held a lot of cultural significance.

The crystal structures of the garden contained a lot more furniture, but none of them interested Ves. It wasn't until Lucky dug into the basement levels of the largest crystal structure that he managed to come across something remarkable.

It was a circular plate the size of his palm. To the aliens, it must have been a large table or piece of art. To Ves, its shape hardly roused his interest. Instead, he focused on the tiny crystals embedded onto its surface.

"Is that the galaxy?"

The embedded crystals on the table depicted the Milky Way Galaxy in a very accurate depiction. It hardly differed from the modern appearance of the galaxy. Ves could actually use the differences between the two to date the table's construction, though he wasn't particularly interested in doing so.

What Ves focused on instead was that the map highlighted a couple of stars with crystals of different colors. They were so small that Ves had to magnify his helmet's visor in order to see them clearly. He realized that the outermost one corresponded to the location of the Komodo Star Sector.

"That should stand for this planet or where the Joe System."

The other miniscule gems spread out over the rest of the Milky Way Galaxy, though most of the colored gems had been affixed in roughly the same 'slice' of the galaxy. This likely meant that the crystal builder's civilization had stretched from the galactic center to the galactic rim!

"Had they once been the dominant race of the galaxy as well?"

The significance of these ruins went up if that happened to be true. Had those portals stretched over thousands of light-years? Was the crystal garden actually located in the galactic center?

That would be a mind-blowing fact if that was true!

Sweat started to trickle down his back as Ves realized the implications of his discoveries. Perhaps he misinterpreted the map, or perhaps the crystal builders liked to exaggerate their accomplishments, but Ves became more determined than ever to keep this secret to himself. He ordered Lucky to retrieve the table.

The crystal garden hadn't turned up any other treasures. Lucky dug up a lot of furniture, but in his eyes it might as well be junk. Still, the table potentially held a lot of value, because when Ves scanned it with the Vulcaneye, he found out that it held a dense amount of circuits.

He intended to decipher their contents later once his abilities progressed.

"Well, that's two ruins down. Hopefully, there's more."

The galaxy map fostered some hope in Ves. It contained a score of colored gems, and Ves hoped that they corresponded to all of the destinations of the portal generator. As long as he played the lottery long enough, he should eventually be able to open a portal to all of those locations.

"Sadly, I'm running out of time." He sighed.

Much of the value derived from these ruins consisted of things that weren't immediately useful to him. He would have to improve his knowledge base by a substantial amount and put in a lot of research before he could profit from his gains.

A potentially massive payoff twenty or so years from now wasn't very useful compared to what he could earn when he went back to designing mechs.

"I'm a mech designer. I design mechs. Researching alien remnants is only useful if it helps me build better mechs."

It only made sense for him to moonlight as a treasure hunter so long as it benefited his designs. If he could readily decipher the crystal builder's technology, then he didn't mind being stranded here for years, although he would likely be forced to subside on clawed worm meat.

His face crinkled into a disgusted expression. "No thanks."

Over the next two days, Ves resumed his endless lottery draw. He continued to shoot the alien rune monuments like a monkey banging at a keyboard.

If the monkey continued to type a random mash of letters, he'd eventually be able to reproduce an exact copy of Old Earth's classics.

Ves indeed felt like a monkey as he continued to persist in this monotonous task with hardly any rest. He forcibly kept himself awake as sleep would eat a precious amount of time that he could have used to gamble for another successful combination.

His luck turned out to be awful as Ves failed to hit a successful combination in the remaining amount of time. Every single time he hit a different combination of fifteen runes, the crystal spires would shoot out their light beams at him without fail.

"Seems like I won't be gaining anymore harvests this time." He sighed at the end of his time limit.

His mind had practically become fossilized at the excruciatingly boring routine. Even Lucky hadn't bothered to do anything but sleep at the same spot. Even if a light beam passed through his intangible body, the disturbance wasn't enough to wake him out of his rest.

Ves was ready to go home.

He retrieved the alloy key monument and wondered why the crystal builders had used metals instead of crystals. He also wondered why they made it relatively easy to open a portal to the location of this monument.

"Will it actually be able to bring me back home, or is it some kind of trap?"

No matter the truth, Ves owed it to himself to try the combination. He had already fixated on the runes in question and began to shoot at them in the order depicted by the keys. He chose to read out the runes from left to right and top to bottom.

A bunch of light beams hit him right through the head.

"Okay then. These aliens aren't a fan of reading from left to right."

Humanity has conquered half the galaxy and the Age of Mechs reigns supreme!

Ves Larkinson lacked the genetic aptitude to become a famed mech pilot. Fighting against his fate, he studied mech design in order to express his love for mechs as a builder instead of a soldier.

When Ves graduated from college, he returned to a new but empty boutique. Left with a small, newly founded mech workshop that his father painstakingly built with a mountain of debt, Ves somehow needs to make ends meet with the bank breathing down his neck.

In the midst of his despair, he found salvation from another legacy his father had left.

Lee Fei opened his eyes suddenly, his body arched panting and he sat on the bed. He was breathing hard, trying to keep some air in his lungs, everything around him was in the gloom, but he could not see anything right. He was sweating and shaking his body was aching, he felt his throat dry and his head was throbbing, then again he closed his eyes briefly and tried to calm his breathing, but he felt sick and in pain.

 Suddenly his throbbing head got worse and he grabbed his head with both hands and fainted again, images and memories that were not there before appeared in his mind as a long movie in which he can't pause, Lee Fei felt as if he were having his head split in two. After a few long minutes of suffering, he finally calms down, but he still remains unconscious, inwardly he was analyzing his new memories.

 When Lee Fei woke up again, he sat up slowly in his bed and took a deep breath, his body still sore and his head was throbbing, but he calmed down and was no longer agitated. His bed is very comfortable, there was a pillow made of goose feathers, the sheet that covers your bed is made of high-quality fabric, the blanket that was covering it was made of the best quality wool is soft and warm. 

 His room was quite spacious, there was a glossy wooden desk with several sheets of paper, of course, bad quality sheets, at least Lee Fei thought while he looked at the yellowed sheets, but his "new" memories reminded him that this was a very luxurious material for this world. Next to the papers was an inkwell and a long and elegant feather, Lee Fei didn't know which animal that feather belonged, but it was so bright that he could see even a layer of gold speckles in the white part.

 The chair, which fit the desk, had a luxurious red-colored upholstery, an armchair near the fireplace, and a small table with two elegant chairs by the window. The whole room is made of stone, the floor was covered with a soft and well-crafted rug, beside the bed was a piece of furniture that had a jug of water, next to it was a glass of hardwood, a refined ceramic vase to washing his face and a cotton cloth used to wipe it, under the bed were two basins of copper to make basic necessities. 

 There was a folding screen on the diagonal side of the room, it was a wooden folding screen used when one needed to bathe in a large tub, next to the wooden folding screen there is a small wooden bench, which is used by a servant or novice who would help bathe somebody. Near the wooden door was a sleek, elegant chest, which must have his clothes and things, the chests were often used to store things, there wasn't the ease of the closets or wardrobes, not in a place like that. 

 After his vision adjusted to semi-darkness, Lee Fei groped by the bedside table and got something like a lighter, but it was actually a magical wooden tool that pressed the button to create a small flame. He pressed the button of the magic tool and lit the candlestick beside his bed, lightening the room in the dim light. Lee Fei was a bit stunned by this magical lighter, but he was too tired to cheer himself up with magic in this place, he wanted to look for a mirror and a book, the first to see his figure and the second to get a sense of this world.

 With the flickering lighting of the candles, he managed to observe the decor that has a bit of luxury, but generally showed a simplicity when compared to some rooms of nobles, which he saw in photos and paintings in his past life. There were three large windows in the north wall that were covered with heavy velvet cloths of wine, but even so, it was possible that the sun partially brightened the atmosphere, but the cold breeze of that autumn didn't pass through the velvet curtains.

 Looking at all of this, Lee Fei knew he wasn't in China in the twenty-first century, he wasn't even in China in any century, he doubted whether he was on planet Earth!

 The last thing that Lee Fei remembers is to have gone to work that autumn morning and in his interval read a book that he bought a few days ago, then everything went black in his vision and he passed out. That simple! He couldn't stop his lips from forming a sarcastic smile, this was very ironic, he never thought he would die like this without warning, without a buzzer from a bus, truck or car, just sitting at his desk and holding up a book ... That didn't make much sense!

PUF! He died and reincarnate somewhere so far away from China that it could be very well on a different planet!

 Lee Fei got up and went to the trunk, his steps were half hesitant and his body was begging to go back to bed, it seemed that he had been beaten, his body ached everywhere.

 His movements weren't very natural as if he were adjusting to his new body, which was medium-sized, slender and supple, very different from his tall, toned body of his past life, he felt a lack of strength in that body. The clothes he was wearing didn't help his movements, it was a long sweater that reached his feet that were very white and even small and delicate, but they weren't beautiful enough to be women's feet. However, these feet showed that he wasn't in a body of someone who worked hard, the delicacy of his new feet said that this body was a noble or someone from a very rich family.

 Opening the chest, Lee Fei searched quietly between the layers of clothing, which were generally baggy trousers, loose tunics, and even clerical garments, which were wide dark-colored robes with elaborate embroidery of the world's dominant religion. He paused for a few seconds contemplating the Western clergy's clothes, his gaze was calm and he showed no agitation in his face, so quietly he rummaged through the chest for a few minutes until he found a silver mirror, of course, it wasn't like cheap mirrors and more of the modern world.

 The small mirror was in a frame rich with details and some precious jewels, the frame was gold and the smooth surface of the mirror was all silver. Then he went to the window and opened the curtains letting the sunlight penetrate into the gloomy room, so he can finally see his reflection in the mirror. Summarizing it was a very good book with great teachings if you erase the parts of violence, rapes, demonic possessions, witchcraft, theft of children's souls, abortions, among other barbarities, which in the book carries deep meaning, but reincarnating in a world like this ... It really does look like some kind of nightmare! 

 Yes, Lee Fei reincarnated in a BL dark book, where sex was very pornographic and exciting, on the other hand, there was something sadistic about many of the characters in this book, it wasn't a good world to reincarnate. Human rights? Doesn't exist! Compassion ... It's just a dream! Good people ... as rare as the feather of a phoenix amid the feathers of the chickens! Fair laws? As illusory as a rainbow!
Lee Fei lowered the mirror and looked out of the window, where he could see a large courtyard and a little further afield he could see other buildings that looked like some kind of inn or dorm, but there was a nice building in the middle of all those buildings, there were to a fine road made of a cobblestone street, where bright green shrubs and trees, which were with their red leaves due to autumn, bordered this path. The most striking and beautiful building was the Temple of Matteo, which is also where the BL dark novel begins. 

"At least I'm not the villain of this world," though Lee Fei, consoling himself mentally, as he sighed in resignation for accepting the fact that he had reincarnated as an insignificant character in this BL dark novel. 

The villains of these darks books were the worst, being people without salvation, something like rapists, pedophiles ... Anyway, people who couldn't be forgiven or reformed! If Lee Fei had reincarnated as a villain in this story and had already done the barbarities with the MC, there would only be death and regret without end in this life, because as a villain like this could live in the same world of MC, even if he fled to the mountains the plot would kill him miserably in the future!

He looked at the item above the fireplace, there were sun and moon attached to a double ring, that was the symbol of the god of light, who is the god of the Enlightenment Religion of the Rising Sun Church, which is the predominant religion in the whole continent. 

"Besides being an unimportant character in history, I'm still a bishop ..." Lee Fei muttered a little resentfully. In VOLUME 1 (254 chapters), you will be introduced to the Alchemists. The story is light-hearted and heartwarming. I intentionally started the series with romance to put us in a good mood before getting ready for the intense Volume 2.
In VOLUME 2 (350 chapters), you will meet more of the Alchemists and witness their internal conflict for power. This volume is quite intense but also passionate.
Later, we will have light hearted side stories (100 chapters) about the side characters before we continue to Volume 3.
In VOLUME 3 (approx 200 chapters), the Alchemists will face an enemy who found out about their secrets and wanted to destroy them. This will be the most intense part of the series.
Each Volume (except for the side stories) is an independent book, related to one another but can be enjoyed individually. If you like short novels, you can just read per volume. If you are into romance, go for Volume 1, if you like more action and sci-fi go for Volume 2. But if you enjoy reading long novels, you can just read the whole series. It's very flexible.
I could choose to write 3 different novels but opted against it because I am a practical person. Since the stories are connected, why not let readers have the whole series under one title? It is also for ranking purposes. Usually, once a novel is completed, the ranking will drop, I don't want that to happen so soon.

Since soul form has physical properties just like a physical body here, weight applied as well. Just as Bluetail fainted, his body tumbled to the side and tangled with the green tubes. Inside Bluetail's head, two figures are sitting in front of two different screens, they are Bluetail and Bastet. Bluetail's screen is playing memories of Bastet and Bastet's screen is playing his memories. Turn out what Bastet tried on him isn't soul possession, but soul transfer. Projector? He spreads his four paws trying to cover the entire screen and immediately filled with joy as the screen went black. "I actually thought this stupid idea will not worked, but it actually worked, sometime being stupid is not bad!" Beamed Bluetail.

Bluetail clang to the screen for a moment until he heard Bastet laughing.

"Are you stupid? Look at you, acting like a clown. Don't you feel hot as the video is playing on your back? You should feel honored that I take over your body, so your stupid soul will not stain it any further." Laughing Bastet.
Bluetail tilted his head to look at his back. He then drowned in a mixture of feeling stupid and disappointment as the video is still playing, just taking his back as the screen instead.

"What to do? What to do? If stopping the video is not possible, what can I do?" Pushed his disappointment aside, Bluetail is trying to find another solution.

At this point, three quarters of Bastet memory already flashed by, it is showing her memory of the last one thousand year till now. On the screen, Old Ginger is holding a small glass crystal and a scene of battle is being played inside that crystal (damn, Old Ginger body has been abused this long, poor bastard). A glance at the battle scene and Bluetail suddenly understood why Bastet had chosen him. 

Two huge cats are battling each other, one with purple fur and a blue circle on his back, another with brown fur and three blue stripes at the end of his tail. The purple cat summoned a small ball of blue energy from his back and flung it toward the brown cat using his tail. The ball of energy grows bigger as it flew until it is big enough to engulf an entire city, electric currents are coiling around it like countless giant snakes, occasionally throw out flame and electric sparks. It looks terrifying and invincible. Despite the size, the ball flew with an incredible speed, many times faster than the speed a soul can achieve. 

Facing such terrifying attack, the brown cat lightly raised his whiskers and let's out a contempt smile. From one of the three blue stripes on his tail, a blue metallic blade grew, imaging a spear but connected to a flexible tail instead of a handle. Unlike the giant energy ball, it grew only a few meters then stopped. Cold light emitted from the blue blade, giving it a deadly and dangerous feeling, but also a sense of calm.

The brown cat swings his spear tail toward the energy ball as it arrived less than ten meters from him. Under normal circumstance, the spear tail will be crushed under the energy ball and the brown cat will be exploded into nothingness. But this is by no mean normal circumstance, the spear tail emitted a blue energy which then covered the whole spear shaft, extended into a long and huge blue energy blade, slightly longer than the energy ball diameter. Unbelievable happened, the energy ball is cleanly slide in half after the spear tail passed through. The two halves of the energy ball became destabilized and absorbed into the spear tail right before it's about to explode.

Bastet had chosen him because she wants his innate ability.

"A cat has nine lives. For three he plays, for three he strays, and for the last three he stays", as said an old expression in human world. What if i say cats have more than 9 lives?

She crawled to me and started to rub her hear to me while purring. 

I immediately hugged her. And she hugged me back. It was just a reflex movement i have.

"Mi! mi mi Cindy mi like you!" - she said

"Aauu! Me too. Aauu Anthony!" - said

We cannot talk good yet so everything is like fill in the blanks. We snuggled together happily and fell asleep. Some time later we woke up to our moms saying

"AAAAWWWW~! They look so cute! Let's give them some more time." Mother

"Very good!" Said Miss Song softly. She knew her little brother would be a genius among geniuses, but she didn't realize that just by giving a few instructions he would quickly understand what she was trying to teach. 
"Now try to move this stream of water like a malleable whip. You can start slowly with a gentle swing, "said Miss Song, materializing in her own hand a water whip more than a meter larger than her younger brother's whip. 
The swing of the whip in Miss Song's hand was gentle, the water really felt like a leather whip that was flexible while there was a firmness in the whip handle. However, Miss Song's whip handle was made of white ice, since the sacred energy that was the basis of that whip was in the handle.
Zemin Yan noticed this detail and he paused for a moment to think, then a few seconds later he mentalized the cold he felt in the harsh winter in the ancient forest, also mentalising the ice stalactites he found now and then in caves and tree branches, when he took these things to play with his best friend or when he needed to get these stalactites out of the area so he and Yi Yuga didn't get hurt unintentionally. 
Soon an ice handle appeared on Zemin Yan's whip, the handle was not as thick as Miss Song's, but it was firm and seemed to hold the whip's water well. He watched the movement of Miss Song's hand and tried to gently move the whip, at first it was quite difficult as each movement made the water on top of the whip fall around and separate from the whip. But with the passing of the minutes, the light movement no longer wasted water and made a fluid movement. 
"Very good! Now let's get up to speed, "said Miss Song, praising little Yan, who had a very focused look on his small childlike face.

The Master of Zhong Liang wanted him to develop some kind of bond that would prevent him from getting lost in the path of the Dao of the Swordless Thrill.


Unfortunately, Zhong Liang doesn't agree with his master's vision and astounds all the young disciples, only one remains he is as firm as a sword stuck in the ground, this disciple is Zemin Yan. 

"Senior Zhong, do you want grapes or apples?" Asked Zemin Yan with his typical silly smile.

Zhong Liang didn't respond and continued training with his sword, he just ignored the existence of this young disciple.

"So it's going to be grapes," Zemin Yan said without even letting his mood fall, he had already grown accustomed to the lack of response from his senior disciple.
 
When Zemin Yan came back to call Zhong Liang for dinner the grapes were far from visible, which left Zemin Yan with a silly and contented smile for the rest of the night.

The answer to my own question being forever. They have no intention to help me or my family in any situation. I will remember this cloud  river valley family. It was one thing to ignore me but you don't even seem my son as one of your own? 
   My son is innocent! He is rightfully a part of the family and you refuse to even send him a talent overseer to judge his aptitude! How ridiculous is the family being to go this far! 
 All because I signed up for the martial exam. They are so afraid of me losing the family's reputation if I don't succeed. Ethan my son your father has wronged you but please don't hold it against me I need to do this so our family can live better. We will be better off without the cloud river family anyways I will renounce or bloodlines with them when I succeed in this coming exam. 
  Ethan my sweet child you will have the best of what life has to offer and I won't let you settle for any less. Father will support you like a divine pillar. 
 I returned home and told my wife the news about the exam and she fully supported my decision to take part in it. All she asked was, " Dear please protect yourself and stay safe , we will be waiting for your victorious return!"

The examiner lit the standing candles in the room and as he did so explained," There are 500 of you country bumpkins not knowing the immensity of the path ahead of you. If anyone wants to leave do so now, any deserters from here on out will be forbidden from ever retaking the test again!   
   
  Without enough determination to stick to the end you will never have the fortitude to cultivate in your entire life! I repeat the martial hall will not accept cowards or weaklings who give up halfway through.
