A man gets reincarnated as the least favorite member of the Fantastic Four after slighting a goddess.

Brother Wolf stopped him. Li Du waved and said, "Don't hurry, Sean, first explain the origin of this jewelry."
Sean acted calm and said, "There's nothing to explain. I doubt this guy is really Cole Winston. Why should I believe you?"
Cole smiled when he heard this. "I can show you my license, but I expect that when you see it, you will question whether it's real or not."
Sean was clearly losing face. The situation had spun out of control. Who could expect things would turn out so?
Li Du did not press the matter. He knew the evidence was in his favor.
He switched off the call and said to Sean, "I won't make a scene, but these jewels were either stolen from Harry Winston group, or they are limitation infringing on our patent rights and intellectual property rights. Our group reserves the right to pursue this matter."
Sean was a bit flustered and said, "You can't scare me. There is nothing wrong with the jewelry I bought."
Li Du smiled and said, "If you say so. I hope you can prove it when our lawyer and the police contact you."
He handed the jewelry back to Sean, who tried to pass it to Ariana.
Ariana already knew what was going on. Why would she accept such a gift? "I don't know where you got this. You'd better return it…"
Sean looked at her angrily and said, "Don't you believe me?"
Ariana did not know what to say and looked to the others for help.
Hans gave Porter a push and Porter moved in front of Ariana.
He wasn't afraid of Sean. He just didn't know what to do next.
Since he was pushed out to face Sean, however, he calmly said, "Come on, man, Ariana's right. You'd better return these jewels where they came from"
Sean took the opportunity to leave. He shouted, "Fine, you do not trust me! You don't think of me as a friend! I guess I was blind, so f*ck you!"
Cursing, he quickly walked out of the villa.
In this way, the atmosphere of the birthday party was destroyed. Li Du apologized to Ariana and then told her that he had to do it, or she would have accepted the jewelry and might have got in trouble.
Porter took out his gift, presented it to Ariana and said, "I have tickets for the Heat's opener and Christmas day. I remember you like the Heat, so how about if we go to the game together?"
Ariana graciously accepted the ticket, smiled and gave Porter a hug.
The young people clapped their hands and made happy noises. Then they began to dance again, which restored the atmosphere of the birthday party in a large measure.
Li Du had nothing to do with the rest of the matter. He stayed out of the way, waiting for the party to end.
However, his identity meant he could not quite stay out of it. Several girls took an immediate interest in him when they learned that he was a shareholder in the Harry Winston group.
Li Du chatted and had drinks with them, but when they wanted to exchange contact information, he would politely but firmly refuse.
Hans strolled up from behind and said sourly, "Now who should be quiet? Who is messing with girls at the party?"
Li Du did not know quite know how the party started, but after Sean left, Porter felt much better, and his relationship with Ariana was much closer.
At the end of the evening, Porter sent off the guests, and they got down to business.
Hans took out the 25 valuable comics, of which five were most valuable: Superman's first Action Comic #1, Stan Lee's hand-painted Fantastic Four, the first edition of Spiderman, and two DC and Marvel combined product comics which introduced the first batch of heroes.
Twenty other magazines also had considerable value, being rare or having special significance in the history of comic books.
Porter couldn't put a price on the magazines, so the next day he contacted one of the industry's leading experts to consult with him.
Li Du was in no hurry. They stayed in the villa, which belonged to Porter's family anyway.
Porter brought in an expert from New York whom Li Du didn't know but had recently read about.
The name of the expert was Pressler, and he was the editor-in-chief of Wired Comics, the company that bought the first issue of the Spiderman magazine in Paris for 1.2 million dollars.
Pessler, a soft-spoken middle-aged man, talked quietly with Porter, made phone calls and evaluated the comic books.
The two men discussed this for about an hour and a half and then handed Li Du and Hans a report with their quotes for the magazines.
The highest price they offered was three million dollars for a hand-drawn copy of the Fantastic Four and four million for four other high-value magazines, or one million for each on average.
Of the other twenty magazines, there was a set of twelve magazines from the early days of Captain America. They sold for a total price of one million dollars. The package deal was eight million and four hundred thousand dollars.
Li Du was prepared for a good offer but was still shocked by these numbers.
Hans bargained with Porter and got a rounded up price of nine million as the final transaction price.
The contract was signed and the business was done. Li Du could now say what was on his mind. "Did not expect these comic books to be so expensive!"
Porter said, "As far as I'm concerned, I can't believe jewelry and gemstones are so expensive. It depends on the market. If there is a market, there is a price. Classic comics are in the same place as famous paintings and jewelry because they are all unique and can bring pleasure to people," he added.
Li Du spread out his hands, meaning to say, whatever you want, you pay for it.
"Can you get more comics from the 1930s, 40s, 50s, and 60s?" Porter asked.
Li Du shook his head and said, "I can't promise."
"The 1930s through 1950s were the golden age of comic book publishing in the United States," Porter said with a sigh. "Unfortunately, almost all comic books published at that time disappeared. I hope they can be carefully collected."
Li Du said, "You can give me a list, and I'll let you know if we come across any more comics."
Porter said, "If you find any more vintage comics, you have to promise you'll call me before you talk to anyone else. My comic book store needs more babies."


They love gold, and they love silver. Even more so, they love gems that dazzle, like stars across the skies.

Storage auctions, old goods trade, re-estate sales and gold-digging. But the truth is, if one wants to make money, then the supreme way is through searching for the legendary treasures. 
Holding the fort, there’s an ocelot, a wolf, and an Andes condor. At the side, there’s a loyal hound, an irascible ape, and an African honey badger. Who said that you can only rely on humans when treasure hunting?! 

Hey guys I'm sorry didn't write issue 5 yet. My little brother almost got kidnapped and I have just been super busy and was not able to write issue 5, as an apology I will be writing issue 5 Spider-Man and issue 1 of avengers and Fantastic Four. As an added bonus I'll be doing a surprise comic too.

Plot: Spider-Man 2099 (white and red suit) is battling a villain called the Time Master A.K.A. Daniel Husk who is the host of a symbiote. Time Master stops time, moves Spider-Man into a trap, and rips his mask off. He tells the  Mask less Spider-Man that if Spider-Man doesn't stop chasing him he'll go back in time and kill his mother before he is ever born. Then he throws Spider-Man through one of his time portals created by his time grenade. Spider-Man lands in 2019 New York City. Spider-Man 2099 hits looks around and sees Spider-Man fighting the Sinister Six. 2099 leaps into battle and helps Spider-Man defeat the Goblin, the Rhino, and the Vulture. The other members escape and 2099 explains everything.
THIS IS ONLY VOLUME 1 ISSUE 1 (I'm not sure if volume is the correct title for it.) VOLUME 2 ISSUE 1 will be an entirely different story about Spider-Man. Any suggestions write a review of a comment.

October 9th 2016

The Javitz Center is bursting with energy. The line in the morning went up and down 34th street. It's the last day of this year's New York Comic Con. People dressed as their favorite characters from every conceivable fandom parade around to get comic books signed, pictures taken, attend artist/writer's panels, compare costumes, purchase merchandise and collectibles, as well as hang out and connect with fellow fans of the same work. It's a magical time.

However, this NYCC is a bit different than usual. People dressed as Spider-Man, Thor, Black Widow, and many other beloved Marvel characters can be seen with mixed emotions on their faces, excited, yet also despondent. Looking at them you'd think that someone just told them that their favorite grandmother was about to die but was also leaving them with her entire fortune after she passed away. If asked about it, many would agree with that sentiment, especially those who live in this city that never sleeps.

The reason for this occurred two days ago. It was announced online that this would be a beloved icon's last convention in his birth city of New York. The man who has given all Marvel fans so much of his time and energy, as well as being a co-creator of so many of the more well known characters in the Marvel Universe.  Stan Lee is having his last panel at this location today, this afternoon, in-fact. Right now though, the man every comic book fan adores can be seen chatting and signing autographs from behind a white plastic table with the upcoming Marvel Studios movie poster "Spider-Man: Homecoming" blown up behind him.

One New Yorker can be seen in line to get the man's signature, shuffling in place nervously but gingerly holding a limited edition copy of Fantastic Four #72. His deep green eyes looking over the others ahead of him in order to see how long it'll be until it's his turn. A cough from behind startles him. He turns around to see who wants his attention.

"Hey tall guy, what's got you so impatient? Not like you can make this line move any faster."

Embarrassed, the man scratches the back of his dark brown head of hair as he looks down to acknowledge the older gentleman. He must be around five ten? Five nine? Maybe 70 or 80 years old. And dressed as Thanos, The Mad Titan, of all people, complete with a replica of the infinity gauntlet and purple makeup. It's kind of a odd choice of character for an elderly person to dress as. While keeping up with the rest of the line, the brown haired man responds.

"S-sorry, it's just, I've always wanted to meet him again since the first NYCC I went to and I don't want to miss him. I mean, it's his last one, y'know?"

'Thanos' shows a knowing smile.

"I get it, believe me, but doin' what your doin' ain't gonna help at all. By the way, been meanin' to ask you... who are you cosplaying as?" 'Thanos' asks, gesturing to the man's attire. "You can't be dressed as Peter Parker, you're a bit too bulky for it... Clark Kent? That'd fit, but you don't have the glasses on..."

"Huh?" The man looks down at his plaid button down shirt, white undershirt, and jeans. "Oh! No, sorry, I actually couldn't really afford to make a costume this year. So, I'm just me, unfortunately."

"Ah," 'Thanos' nods. "No worries young man, we've all been there. By the way, name's Jack. And you are?" Jack extends his non-gloved hand out for a handshake.

Taking Jack's hand with the one not holding his most prized comic, the man replies, "Jonathan Stevens, call me Jon, nice to meet you. Nice Thanos costume, by the way."

Jack grins, "Thanks, made it myself. Took a while to get it right, though people keep telling me I'm too old for this stuff. If I had a build like you and maybe twenty or so years younger I'd probably be able to pull it off better."

Now it was Jon's turn to smile, "Nonsense, just say you're a Thanos where Dr. Strange used the Time Stone to accelerate your age and you're good to go!" 

Jack showed a bemused expression and chuckled as the both of them kept walking forward in line. "Yea, that'd work, if I didn't have the Time Stone already in the Infinity Gauntlet that is."

"Ah, I guess you're right. Then how about a Thanos that's an extra few thousand years old?" 

"Again, Infinity Gauntlet. With the stones, Thanos wouldn't need to age like he normally would. Plus, his race's longevity doesn't work like most others, he'd look the same clear up until the day he died."

"Hmm, then say you're a Watcher who is a fan of the Titan?"

"Nope, if there were a Watcher that was a fan of Thanos he'd have his title revoked. Though they're supposed to be neutral, they favor good over evil. The only outlier in the Watchers is that simpleton that watches Deadpool exclusively. And the other Watchers barely tolerate him because Wade Wilson is usually doing good." 

Jon and Jack both continue chatting about comics, how to resolve Jack's cosplay identity, and their favorite characters for a while. All of a sudden a trio of cosplayers dressed as Wonder Woman, Captain Marvel, and Power Girl walk by, distracting Jon for a few seconds while Jack gives the young man a smirk. Though, after a bit it becomes more annoying than funny. So Jack snaps him back to reality.

"Hey now, they're beautiful alright, but there's no need to stare that much. What would your girlfriend think?"

Startled, Jon hastily waves his hand in front of his face. "Eh!? No, no no. I d-don't have a girlfriend. At least, not anymore."

Jack's eyes widen slightly in surprise . "Really? Big guy like you doesn't have a girlfriend? Well, I'm sorry to hear that, what happened?"

"Ah, w-well... after I got out after my last tour I found out she left me, so I moved back home to Queens for a while." Jon shows a self deprecating smile. "She said she couldn't stand me being away all the time and that I wasn't able to give her what she needs. She's married now with a kid on the way..."

"Ah jeez, I'm sorry, shouldn't have brought it up. Wait a minute. Got out? Last tour? You a vet?"

"Hmm, I wouldn't really classify myself as a veteran. It's not like I was in the full 20. But I did a few tours with Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion in Afghanistan. Some of my friends that served with me would say that anyone who deployed and saw the desert is a vet, but personally, I think the guys who stayed in and continued their service after being in that hell are the real veterans. But anyway, after that, well, like I said I got out and came back home."

"So, what're you doing now?"

"Not a whole lot. Living by myself and going to school again to get a degree, G.I. Bill won't use itself, you know? But mostly I'm just reading comics and watching tv and movies."

"Hey, no shame in that. And thank you for your service."

Smiling, Jon appreciated the elderly gentleman's sentiments. Prior Service men and women may not get treated as badly as they used to after Vietnam, but in a city like New York it's a bit rarer to find someone who is grateful for the sacrifices that people like Jon have made in service to the country. So, Jack saying that meant a lot. 

The odd duo made small talk for a while. Soon it was almost time for Jon's turn in line. However, before he could go up to his idol he got stopped by Jack.

"Wait a bit, been meaning to ask you. What's so important about that Fantastic Four comic you have? You seem to treasure it. But from what we've been talking about it doesn't seem like you particularly care for the FF all that much." Jack asks, looking at the comic held carefully in Jon's hand. 

"Oh, this?" Jon brings the 72nd issue up. "Yea, I don't care much about the FF. Susan Storm, Ben Grimm, and Johnny Storm are one thing, but Reed Richards... I don't like much, and those movies are cringe worthy. This issue is special though."

"Oh?" Jack quirks up an eyebrow. "And why's that?"

Jon gets an excited look on his face. "Because, this is one of the few times we meet the One-Above-All. As the Creator you don't hear about him much and the focus is more on Earth and it's protectors. I figured there must be more to him, so I wanted to ask Mr. Lee about him while also asking him to sign the page where the FF meets him. I know this incarnation of the character is more an homage to Jack Kirby, but it still seems appropriate, you know?" 

Jack frowns a bit. "What more to the character do you need? He's omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent. Kind of hard to really put a finger on that sort of being don't you think? Even worse to try and have a story surrounding him, or her."

"Well, uh, it's just there isn't a character in the Marvel Universe that doesn't have a story and I wish I could experience his. Heck, a being like that inside the Marvel Universe? I wish I could BE the One-Above-All." Jon looks back at the line, "Ah, sorry, Jack, I need to go, it's my turn!"

As Jon scampers off giddily, Jack laughs at his young friend's antics. "Indeed, it just might be." 

At this his eyes seem to glow for a split second before being replaced by his normal look. After a few minutes, he walks toward Jon, who's standing in front of Jack's best friend and colleague. 

Jack places his gloved hand on Jon's shoulder as he gets his comic back from Stan, and before he can ask his question says, "Stan, this one."

Jon looks at his new costumed friend curiously. 'Does Jack know Mr. Lee?'

Stan Lee looks up surprised. He takes his trademark aviator sunglasses off and points them at Jon. "You sure Jack?" Jack nods. Stan shrugs, "Alright, but you have to explain it to him." Stan Lee takes out a pencil from his pocket, a worn out, dirty, chewed up pencil. He then reaches under the table and brings up a blank sheet of paper. As he places it on the table, the whole convention center seems to quiet as if someone is turning the volume dial down on a stereo. Once the paper hits the table, it's eerily silent. Jon starts to panic a bit. 'Just what is going on!?' The only thing Jon can hear is his, Jack's, and Mr. Lee's breathing. As the elderly celebrity drops his old pencil down onto the page, a word escapes his lips. 

"Excelsior"

Jon's consciousness fades to black as his body turns into motes of light until it disappears entirely.

"Thanks Stan, as always." Jack Kirby says as he walks away and fades into nothingness.

"See you in a few years, Jack." Says Stan, and life returns to the convention hall.

Hiatus/slow updates.

Fan of Marvel, former US marine MC goes on an adventure. 

Is he OP? Yes. 

Is there a harem? No. Read something else if you just want to get your jollies. 

Will there be r-18 scenes? Probably not. It’s actually incredibly awkward to write those scenes. I’m more a fan of getting a little into it for romance purposes and then fading to the next morning or a few hours later.

So there’ll be romance? Yep. Though it’ll be a slow burn.

Descriptions of violence and gore? We’ll see where the story takes us. 

Read as our MC changes as he grows into newfound power and creates his own multiverse, while enjoying the Marvel multiverse on the side as a sort-of tourist/active participant.

on the other hand, if Thanos has the infinity gauntlet then he will die otherwise a Thanos with his experience and strength will win but with difficulty as he doesn't know much about titan physiology. 
note: Thanos is the comic version and same with the other characters no nerfing.

ok, this is a rewrite of the first one. and one thing I want to make clear is that this book is dark I mean really dark. it is a book which I would like to present to sir Lucifer morningstar if I ever met him. so you can think about how much this book is dark. let me tell you burning people alive, killing the children in front of parents is a regular occurrence.

mc has a very shity past. now he is mentally screwed and wants the mutant race to be above everyone even the celestials. he is not afraid to become the demon for achieving his goals.

someone is in his way may the gods Nd stan have mercy. Because hell will feel like a heaven for them after mc will be done with them. you will know when you will read first chapter.

After helping out with the cleanup, we gathered at the top of the nearby building's rooftop as the Fantastic Four is in a heated discussion while I stood in the corner waiting. Read Richards, Ben Grimm, Johnny Storm and Sue Storm is a discussing their future plans and whether they should join the Defenders or not.


Reeds is the first to approach me as he said "We appreciate your help in dealing with Victor and we know that you have good intentions in helping, but....."


Sue interrupted Reeds impatiently by saying "Even though the Defenders have been doing a good job in reducing the crime rates, but you and your team members have been sending every bad guys you come across into the emergency ward".


Reeds continued "That is not what we do, we should be encouraging them to do the right thing".


Feeling irritated I replied "When is the last time all of you step outside of Baxter Building and use your powers to save people. You have been spending all your time in your science lab that you don't really know what is really happening in the real world".


Ben and Johnny nodded their head in agreement.


Reeds argued back "But you can't change the world like this" as Sue wanted to say her piece.


I put up my hand to stop them, I said "Stop Bullshitting me! Unless you do what you preach, you don't have the right to make any comments. Spend some time in the real world and see it with your own eyes. Once you make a difference I will listen to you"


I walk towards Johnny and pass him a Wingwave communicator "Your family is your team but call any time if you guys need help, we don't agree on our methods but we do need to work together if there are enemies that we can't handle alone".


Johnny mumbled "But I really want to join the Defenders". 


I replied "Don't worry I will give you a chance but you will need to pass all the members test"


Taking a glance at The Thing, I said "If you need a second opinion about your condition and power, you can find me. Since the others can control their power, I believe there is a method for you to do the same" Ben look at me in surprised.


I walk towards the edge of the building roof and glide away into the night. 


The Fantastic Four stood in silence deep in their own thought before Ben said "He's right. We could be out there making a big difference. While searching for a cure we could be a little more proactive in helping people in need".


Cheerfully Johnny slap Ben's back saying "Yes, glad to have you on my side" which Ben reply saying "Don't make me regret this".


"By the way Nightwing said something about me being an attention hogger and that I like to boast about myself. That is not true, right?" Johnny asked


"It's True!" Everyone shouted back to him as Johnny sulkily replied "Traitors".

The next day.....


Sneaking into Agent Coulson's temporary SHIELD Base is an easy task as I avoided all their surveillance cameras and security alarms with the help of Oracle. I even hack their system just in case to determine whether they have found anything that may reveal my identity.


The whole team is busy with their own tasks while Agent Coulson and Daisy is in mission room in front of computer monitors. As they map out possible identities and base location using their algorithm but it does not seem like that they are successful in narrowing their search parameter.


....


Agent Coulson is in a bad mood since their investigation has not bring SHIELD any closer in determining Nightwing's identity and base of operation. Coulson is feeling stressed since Director Fury is determine to find out more of their progress and has been pestering for results. Currently both Agent Coulson and Daisy is reviewing Nightwing fight with Doom and they are backtracking his movement but proof unsuccessful since he avoid most of the camera.


SHIELD have manage to determine most of the Defender's identities but they are not able to find anything that might help them identity Nightwing's identity. From SHIELD's investigation, they suspect that the Defenders members do not know know anything about Nightwing's identity or base of operation too.


Sighing to himself Coulson decided to return to his office to make his daily report to Fury. The first thing Coulson saw when he open his office door is Nightwing sitting in his chair with  legs on the table and reading his Captain America Comic book.

As Coulson stood in shock at his office doorway, I said "Don't worry, they are still in mint condition and I was very delicate".


Seeing that Coulson still stood frozen at the doorway, I continued jokingly "You have an amazing comic book  and card collections, I am impressed, wanna trade?".


"Nightwing, what are you doing here?" Coulson said as he slowly putting a hand near his weapon. 


I answered back confidently "First it is not me that is being rude here! Second I am not here to start a fight so please ease up".


Slowly calming himself, Coulson replied "I don't understand what you mean".


Smiling back at him, I said "Don't try to deny it, I know SHIELD has been tracking me this few weeks. You have been trying to find out my secret, that is kinda rude".


"So you knew about us tracking you, that explains a lot" said Coulson playing it cool "What can I do for you today, Nightwing?"


Putting down his comic book, I approach Coulson saying "Tell Nick Fury that I don't like to be spied on. I have a reason to wear a mask and it is to protect my privacy".


"That does not show why we should trust you" Coulson replied as he walked towards his table and check on his collections.


"Well it is a leap of faith. You can trust me base on my actions rather than knowing the man behind the mask" I said as  continued "Now can you please tell me why SHIELD is so interested with me or should I talk to Director Fury directly".


After thinking for awhile, Coulson answered "Give me a second, I will make a call to him!" as Coulson press a button in the room. Few minutes later the monitor in his office display Fury's image.


"Coulson, report!" Nick Fury snapped as he answered the call.


Coulson answered slowly "Director Fury, there is a guest here who wants to talk to you!" as Coulson gestured his hand towards me. 


Noticing my presence, Fury calmly replied "I see, Nightwing. Looks like you are more capable than I thought". 


Looking back at the monitor, I growled back "Lets get straight to the point, I want to keep my own privacy and if you want to talk please do it like a normal civilize person rather then spying behind my back. Now tell me what you want?".


Fury frown his eyebrows before he slowly replied "I am assembling a team that will handle threats that are beyond the limits of ordinary men and women. It is called the Avengers Initiative" looking directly at me.


Hearing the word Avenger, I can hear the Avenger theme song started playing in my head. It is always been my dream to join the Avengers but since I wanted to decide my own fate, I replied "No".


"What!" growled Fury.


"I am not interested to work for SHIELD" I answered looking at Fury "but the Defenders is willing to work with SHIELD".


Fury replied "It will be better if you join us compared to you and your friends constantly breaking the law by trespassing and acting as a vigilante. We can provide you the best training and technology to help make you the best version of yourself, the Ultimate Nightwing".


"Tempting offer but no. I believe that by having a team outside of SHIELD, you can have a better result. We respect the law but sometimes you need to do something outside the line to stop the criminals once and for all" I explain calmly.


"We can train you with people with special skills" Fury said temptingly.


"How about this, you can bring your best agent to test me. If I lose I will join SHIELD, if I win you will consider working with the Defenders to help handle your possible threats" I replied countering his offer. 


Fury stared back at me in silence and irritation, he replied "Fine! How do I contact you?". 


Taking out the Wing Wave communicator, I answered "You can call me on my communicator, don't even try to hack or scan the communicator. Once someone try to do that, it will self destruct" passing the communicator to Coulson" I said "Only you and Coulson is allowed to use or touch the communicator, anyone else then the deal is over".  


Fury smirking in confidence "Alright, you have a deal. I will give you a week to prepare".

 
Walking towards the door, I replied "Sure thing, hope we build a trusting friendship" as throw down the smoke screen pellet.

Coulson quickly went towards the doorway as Nighwing disappeared.


Looking back at the monitor, Coulson asked "Do you trust him, Director Fury?".


Thinking for a short moment, Fury replied "I don't know but at least he can be reason with".


Coulson replied worriedly "But we are dealing with a complete wild card here, we don't know much about him too".


"Don't worry we will learn more once he join SHIELD and I have the best man to test Nightwing out" Fury replied with a smirk on his face as he confidently continued "This is not my first rodeo".

After a couple of hours, the figures of Lissandra and Law could be seen at a table inside the Queen's public library together.
       It took a while to get to the library and to find a table so that Law's mom could begin editing various news articles for the paper.
       "Just remember Law be careful and don't talk to strangers, and if you don't come back in 20 mins, I'm going to come to look for you, okay?" Liz said as Law ran to go find some books. 
       The only reply she received was a thumbs up from the little redhead boy that did not even bother to look back.
       "He may be as smart as an adult, but he still has the manners of a 5-year-old" huffed out a slightly annoyed Liz.
       As Law wandered the library, looking for history and science books. The Marvel world was leagues ahead of his own in terms of technology and understanding of science, so he decided to study as much as he could. He wanted to become a world-renowned scientist or doctor in this world was with his intelligence and abilities it would so much easier. He wandered through various aisles looking for higher level textbooks before he crashed into a teenage girl and 3 or 4 of her books onto the ground.
       Law looked down at the girl he had knocked down only to be stunned. She was a pretty blonde girl with long hair wearing a sweater and jeans. But that wasn't what stunned him, it was the fact that she looked similar to someone in his memories. Law quickly got out of his daze and noticed she had started to pick up her books. 
       "Sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going," Law said while helping her pick up her books. 
       "It's alright it happens to me all the time when I'm interested in something," the blonde teenager said with a smile on her face as they finished picking up all the dropped books. Law handed the books back to her, but not before noticing that they were college level physics textbooks.
         "Once again, I'm sorry for knocking you over. My name is Law Napier." He said as he stuck out his hand.
       "I'm Susan Storm, and what were you looking for so fervently," Susan asked using words clearly above his age range.
       'Well, at least that confirms my thoughts that she is Susan Storm from the Fantastic Four. She doesn't look like a young Jessica Alba but rather a teenage version of a Susan Storm from Earth-616. It seems that all the Marvel characters are either going to look like their movie counterparts or the comic versions.' Thought Law before he replied 
       "I was looking for high-school physics, chemistry, and biology textbooks as well as history books," Law answered honestly seeing no reason to lie. Although he usually didn't like conversing with people he just met, he wasn't going to pass up the best opportunity to talk with one of his favorite heroines,
       "Aren't you a smart little boy, tell me how old you are?" Susan asked inquisitively.
       "I'm 5, and It's not my fault I haven't hit my growth spurt yet" Law pouted. Causing Susan to start giggling.
       "Where did you find them, I've been looking everywhere for textbooks," Law asked inquisitively.
       "Well, why don't I show you then *Little* Law," Susan said causing Law to pout.
       "Thank you" Law murmured as she began to lead him to his desired section. 
       As they walked to the section, Law and Susan struck up a conversation clearly intrigued by each other's intelligence. The only thing Law could think was that the comics and movies did not capture and display her true intelligence. 
       As they continued their conversation, she started to tell him about her family, the Baxter Foundation, and about how her little brother Johnny was always annoying her and her mother to read his books.
       This shocked Law due to the fact that in the Fantastic Four comics did not have a Baxter Foundation and the fact that her mother was still alive even when she was a teenager.
       'So, I can't just think that the future is going to completely coincide with the movies, huh. Well, I did ask for an AU, this is going to be so awesome.' Law thought with a smile on his face. (Author's Note: This is just so I don't have to follow the side movies, tv shows, or the comics exactly.)
       "Here you go little Law, all the textbooks are here. Do you want me to help select the best ones?" Susan asked amicably.
       "Yes please," Law replied. 
       "Sure little guy let me help you," She said smugly puffing up her chest.
       After a few minutes of looking over the books, she picked out a few and about a couple inches thick. 
       "Here these are the best books, the others just repeat the same thing again and again. Now then I got to get going and search for a place to read my books" Susan said getting ready to leave.
       "Hey, Susan wants to come and sit with me and my mom. There is still plenty of space there." Law offered thinking to help the teenage girl.
       "Sure, that would be a great help Law. Lead the way." Susan said happily due to having found no place to sit for the past hour. Law leads him to where his mother was sitting still busy with work. 
       "Hi, mom I brought a friend to sit here, she helped me find and pick out my books. Is that okay?" Law asked his mother who finally looked up.
       Liz looked up from her work only to be surprised by the appearance of a beautiful blonde girl, while quickly gained an inquisitive look.
       "Yep, that fine Law we have plenty of space here. Thank you for taking care of my baby boy, he has a hard time paying attention to his surroundings and probably would have hurt himself if someone didn't help him" Liz said smiling at Susan who started to giggle. 
       "It's fine Ms. Napier, Law is a perfect gentleman. My name is Susan Storm." Susan replied covering for him. Liz gained a look of surprise, and then immediately that look turned to happiness.
       "You must be Mary's 15-year-old baby girl," Liz said while both Law and Susan gained a shocked look. Law for the fact that his mom was connected to so many notable figures in the Marvel universe, and Susan for the fact that Law's mother knew her mom. 
       "Oh, I should probably introduce myself. I am Lissandra Napier, your mother and I used to go to the same college but while I studied literature, your mother studied bio-chem. You can call me aunty Liz, after all, I was there when you were born. Also, you can refer to Law as your younger brother because your mom and I were already planning to introduce him to you and your little brother soon." Liz replied smiling. Susan took a few seconds to comprehend the situation before taking the situation in stride.
       "Okay, Aunty Liz it's nice to meet you," Susan replied widening the smile on Liz's face. Susan then suddenly turned to Law with a smug smile on her face.
       "Did you hear that Little Law, from now on you will refer to me as Big SIs Sue" Susan stated smugly causing Law to gain a deadpan look while causing his mother to laugh. 
       'This is going to be a long day' Law couldn't help but think to himself and Susan got settled in a seat at the table.

The world we live in isn't anywhere near as cool or happy as the ones we read about inside the pages of Fantastic Four, or the one we see in the confines of our favorite TV Shows. The world sucks, and we've single handedly manufactured so many ways to distract ourselves from that fact that the ones who put more effort into these distractions are the highest praised and most celebrated people on the planet. Artists? What does that even mean anymore? It's just some pithy catch all  for 'person who doesn't want a real job, and wants to play around with writing useless fluff all day' and-"
 "Will you shut the fuck up already?" Hi I'm the actual main character of this little short story, pardon my language but you have to admit. That jackass wasted a whole paragraph with that bullshit. Oh, where's my manners, there's more story to get to:

Like I said in the last paragraph, this guy is nothing but some sad dropout who's angry at everything trying to explain to me in his infinite wisdom why art doesn't mean anything. I apologize again, you're probably extremely confused. "Why did this story start with a paragraph long intro that turned out to be a pointless diatribe?" "Who's this guy who keeps stopping the story and speaking directly to me, doesn't he know he's a character in a story?" Answers to those questions are A: our wonderful author is stalling for time, and B: I'm not entirely of sound mind, that's what my therapist, most of my childhood friends and my big brother have told me at least. However before we continue I'm going to use the next paragraph to tell you a bit about who I am. 
 My name is Felix Lombardi. My parents were Italian immigrants who ran a bread shop. Two years ago they were murdered in cold blood by the mob. After that my brother Lou mysteriously came into half a million dollars, which he turned into a small fortune with pretty sound investments and now he's helping pay my way through college. Happy ending, happy story, my life is great, except it would be if this motherfucking social reject wasn't wasting my time at this gas station telling me how unfair the world is. Speaking of that I still need to respond to him.
 "The world isn't fair, but that doesn't make it a bad place. You're just mad because life hasn't given you everything you wanted. Try working for a change" I said in a subdued cool manner, much like a teacher in a school full of slow children would if one kid in the class began eating paint. 
 "That's easy for you to say, you're probably some spoiled brat coasting through life on daddy's paycheck." Said the moron, completely oblivious to the fact that I was tacitly ignoring him and going about my business.
 I told him to back off, and I went over to the cashier and paid for the cigarettes and M&Ms I was buying. Took an exit, sat in my car and- You know what? This is getting boring and procedural. So I'm in my car, and I call my brother. He's a nice guy, used to be a cop for a while, then he got really rich and he's actually flipped his allegiances and turned into a bit of a crime boss. He's a smart guy though, so he makes sure not to actively butt heads with any of the other families around, but this isn't a Mafioso story, no no no, I apologize, this isn't that exciting of a tale. This is a story about me, my thoughts, and how I relay them to you.

"Hey Lou, did you get my text?"
"I was busy, couldn't respond, still kinda busy. Something about needing money for that comic convention?" Lou said. He sounded like he was doing something physically taxing.
"You at the Gym?"
"Nope, I'm at work"
"Why do you sound out of breath"
"Information gathering is very tiresome" 
Oh he's beating up a dude for an interrogation.
"Oh you're beating up a dude for an interrogation"
"What have I told you about talking about the job over the phone" 
"Mi Scuso fratello Louis" (I'm sorry brother Louis) 
"That's Don Lombardi to you buster"
"Fat chance wise guy, so when can you send the money for the tickets?"
"I'll see what I can do. Now if you'll excuse me I have work to do" 
 My apartment is in the upper east side of Manhattan New York. It's one of those places that looks like it was ripped straight out of a trendy sitcom that features a bunch of close knit friends getting into wacky hijinks. Fortunately for me though, I hate people, and Louie gives me enough of an Allowance to be able to survive alone and pay rent while being able to go to school. I go to a private Art School, I study Animation and I minor in sequential art, my hobbies include playing video games, posting my thoughts on the internet, watching anime, and reading Japanese firearm magazines. My favorite movie is Kill Bill Vol 1 (whoever tells you Vol 2 is better doesn't understand film making and should kill themselves), and the kind of girl I'm looking for is one who'll bully me and make me feel really crappy about myse- wait, sorry got lost in the sauce for a moment, I thought I was filling out a dating profile. 
 Living by myself affords me the unparalleled privilege of being able to walk around my apartment in minimal clothing, and since I don't like people, it's very uncommon for me to have anybody over. The only people who come over are my 63 year old Landlady Ms Fujinami, and her granddaughter Ami who's about my age. I know what you're thinking 'Oh, here comes the part where Felix talks about how much he likes Ami, since she's the first female character of appropriate age to be mentioned, of course she's the love interest'. Sorry to disappoint you fair reader, but it's not that kind of story. You see, we're not leaving my head. This is between you and me, I don't need any bullshit like an "emotional arc" or "narrative depth" in my fucking story, I'm doing good being the person I've been all my life. 
 So I'm lazing about my apartment like the sterling example of a productive citizen that I am when I get a phone call from Don Lombardi.
 "Felix you there?"
 "I wouldn't have picked up if I wasn't. What is it?"
 "Funny. I wonder how many jokes you'll be making when you're forced to shack up with a bunch of hideous college students in a prison dorm"
 "Wake up, eat, listen to Lou threaten me with student housing, go to class, come home, repeat"
 "I'm a man of habit what can I say"
 "To what do I owe this call, did you send the ticket money?" 
 "I need you to make some friends Felix"
 "I need you to stop caring."
 "You're always couped up in the apartment, the only time you see sunlight is when you go out to buy Cigarettes, or when you have class, you don't even talk to Ami anymore, weren't you two friends?" I hate it when he gets like this. I don't know why he cares about my social life. He doesn't listen to me tell him how to do… whatever it is he does.

 "if you're worried about my skin don't bother, that sicilian melanin is doing me just fine" I said, catching a glimpse of myself in the mirror, puckering. Who said nerds can't be sexy.
 "Calm down Ricky Martin, this is about more than sunlight. It's about your life. Mama would cry if she saw what you are on some days" Lou said, in his bro voice. 
 "Papa would cry if you knew what you did for a living" I retorted
"Would he cry or would he just break off into sicilian" Lou responded, letting out a chortle. 
"PUTO RAGGAZINO" we both shouted, memories of pa and ma rushing, and bringing a silence for a good moment.
 "How would I even go about making friends?" I asked, half jokingly. 
 "Glad you asked. That's why I bought you 3 day tickets to that comic book convention." Lou boasted triumphantly.
 "How do you know I won't just go there without talking to anybody?" I shot back with a sneer. 
 "You know, when you're in my line of business, you learn to have contingency plans. This is the part of the movie where the villain tells the hero 'I'm glad you asked'".
 Just at that moment, I heard three knocks at my door.
 "That should be my contingency plans"
 I  peek through my door lens just to see who's there. 
 Ami, motherfucking Fujinami.
 "The convention is this weekend right?" Lou continued. "Have fun lil bro" 
 I hate my brother. I hate this. I hate you.

Meng Fan didn't know much Japanese, but he could read most of the words on the business card Goro Takahashi gave him. Mr. Takahashi was an editor at Kodansha Comics. Given the style of the business card, he wasn't an average editor either.
This was a pleasant surprise for Meng Fan!
Before and after he was reborn, his sisters sponsored him with many gifts on this trip. Before the rebirth, he was most interested in CV concerts and "meet and greets." Now, he was more interested in visiting Shueisha Comics and meeting the comic artist Eiichiro Oda.
Of course, before the rebirth, he also loved manga and would have liked to visit Shueisha Comics and meet Eiichiro Oda. The visit, however, would just have been a regular visit.
Now, the purpose of his visit would be different.
If he was rewriting his life, what would he need?
Manga would undoubtedly be a big part of his new life!
He didn't realize one of the hostages was an editor, and a senior one at that, from a comics publisher. This was fantastic news for Meng Fan.
Perhaps it was Good Luck +1 in effect? It was a big coincidence.
Kodansha Comics was one of Japan's three largest comic publishers. The other two are Shueisha Comics and Shogakukan Comics. Together, the three manga publishers are known as the Gosanke.
Most of the Japanese comics popular with fans worldwide came from these three manga publishers.
Kodansha Comics is known as an advancing giant in the industry.
The publisher with the longest history, Kodansha Comics, is regarded as the boss of publishers (not just comics) in Japan. It has serialized "Attack on Titan,""GetBackers,""Fairy Tail,""Initial D,""Legend of the Dragon's Son,""Vagabond,""Ghost in the Shell,""The Three-Eyed One,""SM,""Card Captor,""The Tales of Genji,""Parasyte," and other well-known mangas.
Shogakukan Comics is a publisher known for comics for kids and teens.
As one of the largest comprehensive publishers in Japan, Shogakukan Comics focused on elementary school students as its audience early on. Based on the names of its comics, it's obvious that it has published many children's classics, some of which had even mesmerized grown ups, including: "Case Closed,""Pokémon,""Doraemon,""Urusei Yatsura,""Ranma ½,""Inuyasha," and many more.
Shueisha Comics is a publisher with some of the most talented comic artists in the industry.
Shueisha Comics publishes many comic magazines for teens, the most well-known of which is Weekly Shōnen Jump, which has the highest circulation in Japan's serialized comics. The magazine has released plenty of hits such as "One Piece,""Naruto,""Bleach,""Gin Tama,""Dragon Ball,""Yu-Gi-Oh!""Saint Seiya,""Slam Dunk,""Chibi Maruko-chan,""Food Wars!" and so on.
Other comic houses within Shueisha Comics have released legendary comics including: "To Love Ru,""One Punch Man,""Tokyo Ghoul,""The Prince of Tennis,""NANA," and more.
The number of comic classics published and serialized by Shueisha Comics is simply countless.
Shueisha Comics was founded last among the three legendary publishers. In the beginning, it was an entertainment magazine under Shogakukan Comics; now, it holds its own in the industry.
Most comic artists hope to have a chance to serialize their work in a Shueisha Comics magazine, including many Chinese comic artists, Meng Fan among them. This is true despite the shrinking comics market in Japan in recent years.　　
This is just like how, for most actors, their dream is to be a movie star in Hollywood — including most Chinese actors such as Meng Caiwei — even though China is now the world's largest movie market.
That's not to say that without being serialized in Japan or entering Hollywood, one would give up on the Chinese market.
Meng Fan put away the business card, his face showing happiness. He smiled at Goro Takahashi. "To be honest, I'm a college student majoring in comics. I actually have a series right now. One of my goals for this trip has to do with comics. I can't believe I get to meet one of the trailblazers of the industry today, I'm so honored."
Goro Takahashi looked surprised after he heard the translation from En'en's dad. The reason he introduced himself: young people like Meng Fan were usually comic fans, so he figured maybe he could thank Meng Fan in this way. He had no idea Meng Fan was studying comics and a comic artist as well.
After Goro Takahashi shook hands again with Meng Fan, he said, "M-san, please, allow me to take you on a tour of Kodansha Comics." 
"Absolutely. It would be my honor."
The two of them exchanged their contact information and made a date to meet again.
As he walked out, Meng Fan received at least fifty more business cards!
There were maybe even more than fifty, as they all came from the passengers on the flight, mixed in with numbers from several flight attendants.
While people knew it was unlikely Meng Fan would keep in touch with them, they clamored to leave him their contact information. It wasn't because they wanted to copy others, they just really wanted to befriend a legendary person like Meng Fan.
Based on the names on the business cards, most of them were Japanese, some were expats in Japan, and a few were Chinese. It was not an exaggeration to say that if Meng Fan had thick skin, he could eat and play for free for the next three to six months in Japan. He would have a great time too, since people traveling from Singapore to Japan were usually pretty successful.
Just like En'en's dad, after Meng Fan chatted with him after they got in the car leaving the airport, he learned the older man dealt in real estate, red wine, and soy sauce, but he wasn't a real estate developer.
The biggest coincidence was when Meng Fan realized they were from Hangzhou, too. He almost swore when he heard their home was near his school!
It was a good thing they weren't from the same district, just a nearby one; otherwise, it would be too much of a coincidence. 
When En'en learned Meng Fan studied near her house, she was even more excited. She wanted to go back to China with him, leaving her parents chagrined.
When their car entered the financial district of Otemachi, it stopped briefly at the Aman Kyoto Hotel, part of Otemachi-Tower.
Meng Fan and En'en made sure to meet again, then he left under En'en's reluctant gaze, carrying his suitcase.
The Aman Kyoto Hotel wasn't an entire building; it was in fact located on the top six floors of the Otemachi-Tower. The hotel lobby was on the 33rd floor, making the hotel rooms even higher. Because of this, the Aman Kyoto Hotel was known as "a luxury above the city."
As soon as Meng Fan entered the elevator, his phone rang. It was from Wu Tong.
"Are you in Japan?"
"Yes, I just got to the hotel."
"How long are you staying?"
"Two or three days?"
"You're not coming back earlier?"
"If I got everything done with the manga, I would go back earlier. Why, you miss me or worry about me?"
"So you do know!"
Wu Tong did sound a little displeased, but it was mostly worrying. Then she said, "Seventh Bro is taking his team to Kyoto today. When he gets there, you can head out and have him follow you, or have someone follow you."


To reward Meng Fan for his bravery before his heroic death, the cosmos rewarded him with a 'system', sending him back in time to three months ago, alive.
