The conference room and the dorm near the outdoor shooting range were temporarily built plastic houses with poor sealing jobs. When there was strong wind outside, there was a small wind inside. Even when they were indoors, people wore coats or jackets to keep warm.
Feng Xuan's assistant knocked on the door and came in, leading Zhang Zian and Old Yang into the room. Famous followed behind them.
"Director Feng, here they are," the assistant said before he left.
The heat was on in the room, but due to the frequent coming and going of personnel, it wasn't quite warm. Feng Xuan was still wearing the same green military coat he wore when he visited the police dog training base, and was sitting across a middle-aged man in a dark, blue jacket.
"Zhang, Old Yang.  Let me introduce you to Xu Gang, the outreach producer." Feng Xuan continued the introductions, "This is Zhang Zian, the chief dog trainer hired by our crew, and the owner of the dog who plays Lightning. This is Master Yang who is temporarily transferred from the police dog training base. He has spent more than twenty years at the base and has prior dog training experience."
Xu Gang looked sleepy, beaten by the weather, and his hair seemed like it hadn't been washed for a few days, but he managed to get up with an effort and shake hands with Zhang Zian and Old Yang.
"Hello, just call me Gang Zi." Xu Gang's tone was very straightforward, like a person who didn't pay much attention to trivial formalities. He said to Zhang Zian, "Zhang, we've never met before, but I've heard good things. Your Famous is very impressive. I was worried that the shooting process would not go smoothly if the protagonist was played by another dog. Everyone in the film industry knows that the hardest objects to shoot are animals and children. Especially animals because of their disobedience."
"Thank you," Zhang Zian said honestly, "I'm not talented. Famous is just intelligent."
Xu Gang thought Zhang Zian was being humble, so he laughed.
Feng Xuan said from the side, "Zhang, before you joined the crew, Gang Zi went to the Western region with the outdoor scenery team, which is why you've never met."
Xu Gang nodded and said, "The title 'outreach producer' sounds fancy, but I'm just doing odd jobs. I went to the west this time to find props."
He glanced at Feng Xuan and said meaningfully, "Fortunately, apart from getting tanner, I found the props we need."
Zhang Zian was intrigued, what props needed to be found in the west?
"Well done, Gang Zi," Feng Xuan encouraged him, "Go to the hotel to rest, and come back to report for duty after you've had enough sleep."

"Yes," Zhang Zian immediately replied.
Feng Xuan asked him this question everyday, and he always gave the same answer.
Zhang Zian had read the script many times. When he first got the script, he read it in its entirety several times.Now, he read the parts that were to be filmed each day before shooting. He could almost recite every word of the script. 
Feng Xuan smiled, "Then, do you have any questions about the script?"
"Questions..." Zhang Zian repeated the word, quickly turned the pages of the script in his mind. The script landed on one of the pages he'd written a big question mark. 
"Ah! The power grid outside, is it..." he started.
When he read the script for the first time, he had some questions. Some were about the performance and some about the plot. Even if he had doubts about the performance and the story, he was not qualified to voice his doubts. He knew that he was just a dog trainer with little say over things that didn't concern him. 
After Zhang Zian started participating in the film, these questions had been answered one by one. Some things that didn't seem reasonable in the script were actually the results of the eye-candy actors that were hired by higher ups, or results of the compromising choices made because of insufficient funds or technology.
In addition to the questions about performance and plot, there was one question that had been bugging him from the beginning. The script mentioned that in the climax of the movie, Lightning, played by Famous, along with several other police dogs, would need to cross the minefields of the snowy plateau, dodge bullets from poachers, and escape the siege of ferocious beasts before they could successfully return to the garrison headquarters to get help. Everything seemed fine except for the fact that the script didn't mention what the "ferocious beasts" were.
Of course, because of the word "siege," Zhang Zian assumed that the beasts were wolves, since the wolf was almost the best beast that excelled in cooperating to hunt for prey. Plus, wolves were indeed distributed in the Western region. So, he held back the doubt in his heart and did not ask Feng Xuan.
It's not uncommon for wolves to take part in filming. Whether it was in Wolf Totem or Game of Thrones, wolves and wolf trainers could always  be found. There was no wolf trainer in their crew, so Zhang Zian assumed that Feng Xuan would make the German Shepherds act as wild wolves, which was not a problem.
However, when he heard Feng Xuan and thought about the question with the power grid outside, Zhang Zian started to suspect his idea. If German Shepherds were to play wolves, there was no need to prepare on such a grand scale. So, was Feng Xuan intending to shoot the film with real wolves? Then, where was the wolf trainer? Would Feng Xuan ask him, a dog trainer, to serve as the wolf trainer?
He didn't really have the skills to tame wolves. If he entered the wolf pack, the only result would be becoming the manure of the wolves. It's not worth taking such a risk with his wage of 1,000 Yuan per day. 
Feng Xuan slowly nodded, "That's right, the power grid outside is used to prevent the beasts from escaping. Do you have any idea as to what kind of beasts?"
"Wolves?" Zhang Zian assumed.
"No. Try again." Feng Xuan and Xu Gang looked at each other, smiling.
"Not wolves? Then, I don't know what they are," Zhang Zian said confused. He felt inexplicably agitated and had no interest to play this guessing game.
"Huh," Old Yang asked, "can I guess? Are there any prizes?"
Feng Xuan knew what he wanted as the prize, so he laughed, "Well, Old Yang, if you can get it right, I will give you a carton of cigarettes."
"A carton of cigarettes? Let me guess," Old Yang said with confidence, "If not wolves, the beasts must be Tibetan Mastiffs."
Tibetan Mastiffs? Dogs?
Zhang Zian's heart suddenly tightened. He remembered those empty iron cages, of which the sizes were more than twice the size of the cages containing the German Shepherds. There's no need for such cages if the beasts were wolves. Were they really Tibetan Mastiffs?
Feng Xuan and Xu Gang simultaneously clapped their hands, and the former one applauded, "Old Yang, you've got it! Gang Zi brought back a group of Tibetan Mastiffs from his trip to the west."

Damian: So you're treating this as a vacation too?

Damian: But wait... We're not on holiday...

Fei: Anywayss! Where are we heading to first again?
Orelia: For now, we'll head out to the Brime, the city of entertainment, if your dad were to head somewhere through this path, he'll have to pass through Brime.
Fei: Brime? Isn't that like the city where it's famous for the famous show 'Dance of The Vermillion Flames' that's been all the craze on the news lately?
Xander: 'Dance of The Vermillion Flames' sure has a nice ring to it.
Orelia: Yep~! In fact, that shows coming up tomorrow night, so it'll be nice if we can go watch it.
Fei: Wait, we'll be watching it?
Xander: Well, we have to stay in Brime anyways for the next few days right? Since we have to find some information about your dad and all that.
Fei: Oh yeah!
Damian: You didn't think of that?
Fei: O-Of course I did!
Damian: Were you just going to barge in everywhere to look for dad...?
Fei: N-No...!
Orelia: Hehe, It would be nice if we're watching it, but we can't afford the tickets.
Fei: Aw... Money...
Fei: Well if we do get the chance, can we watch it?! I want to know what's all this craze about the dancer of flames or something...
Orelia: Of course, if we do get the chance, but... don't forget why we're headed Brime in the first place.
Fei: Right right!
Fei continues to eagerly walk ahead.
Damian: You know... Even if you're excited, shouldn't you save your energy? If you keep at it like this, you might be nearly dead when we reach Brime.
Damian: And you might stumble upon another nest of monsters like last time if you're not too careful...
Fei: It's fine, It's fine! I'll have plenty of energy left for when we reach there!
Fei: And I definitely won't get fall into a nest of monsters alright?!
Damian: Sure you won't.
Xander: I think you would be exhausted by the time you reach though... Since it'll be a while before we reach Brime.
Fei: What's the estimated time will we be reaching Brime anyways?
Orelia: Hmm... If we keep at this pace, we'll reach there by 12.
Fei: WAIT...?! 1-12?!
Xander: The time it takes from Yumin to Brime is four hours, so yeah, it should be right.
Fei: That's long!
Damian: It'll be longer if you keep at your pace, so you better slow down.
Fei: Ah fine, fine-
Suddenly a wolf jumps out towards Fei from the nearby bushes.
Wolf: Grrr!


Damian: ...!
Xander: Fei watch out!
Fei: AH...!
Orelia: Starfall!
A wave of mana that appears to be in the shape of a star falls onto the wolf in mid-air, stopping it from reaching Fei.
Fei: Ah...! Thanks, Orelia!
Orelia: It's no problem!
Falling to the ground, the wolf quickly gets up as it howls.
Wolf: AWOOO!!
After the howl, multiple footsteps could be heard coming from every direction.
In an instant, Damian hurriedly slashes the wolf, quickly marking its end.
Damian: I told you to be careful...
Fei: Oh, how am I supposed to know that a wolf would suddenly jump at me!?
Xander: More wolves are coming because of the howl... And it seems to be quite a number.
Damian: Should we make a run for it?
Fei: Yeah we should...!
Not wasting a single second, the four hurriedly rushes ahead. As the wolves reach the area, they see that the four we're running, thus they began to make chase towards the group.
Fei: Ah, they're chasing after us!
Fei: What do we do?!
Orelia: Hm... 1, 2, 3, 4,5, 6... there's 10 of them.
Xander: We'll just have to fight them if there's no other choice.
Damian: At those numbers more would come if we don't take them down quickly...
Fei: Well...! If we attack them head-on, they won't expect it so we'll probably have enough time!
Fei stops, as she turns around, hurriedly rushing towards the pack of wolves, as she leaps forth, jumping into the crowd.
Damian: W-What...? Hey!
Orelia: You two go, I'll support you from the back.
Xander: Right let's go...!
Damian and Xander rush ahead towards the pack, as they support Fei from the sides.
Orelia: Waving Wards!
From the back, Orelia quickly casts a protective spell around the three.
Wolf: GRR...!
Fei: Take this!!
Quickly swinging around her hammer, she knocks the wolves back as she quickly changes her weapon form into a spear, thrusting at the wolf in front of her. From the sides, Damian quickly slashes through the knocked wolves and Xander hits the ground his greatsword, quickly disrupting the wolves balance.
The 10 wolves whittled down from 10 all the way 1. As the last wolf was left, it quickly tried to flee the scene to call for back up.
Orelia: Oh no you don't!
Orelia quickly casts a mana spell onto the wolf, quickly preventing it from escaping as it met its end at the hands of Damian's blade.
Damian: Huff... That finishes it.
Fei: Woohoo! We did it!
Xander: Just barely before that wolf calls for more.
Orelia: Hehe, you did well!
Finishing up the battle, the group suddenly heard applause.
Orelia: Hmm?
Male's Voice: Beautiful, just beautiful!
Fei: W-What...?
Damian: Whose there?!

I am in front of my sister's school and I sigh. thinking about Ranka

[When we were younger, I  would always do whatever I could to help my cute sister. Whenever Ranka got cold, I would give up her winter clothing for her to use, and would also protect her from any bullying.

Prior to Ranka's enrollment at Seton Academy, the two of us had an argument over her plans to go there and form a pack with different animals. After that, We didn't make any contact with each other.

Since Ranka had left their home, I took my pack into Seton Academy to look for her]

Ferryl: I wonder if she will recognize me

I nervously asked Kuromori my right-hand-man

Kuromori looks at her height: Ranka will recognize you.(you just have gotten taller)

As we walk towards the cooking club we hear moans by the door of

I kick down the doors and see...my sister and she is being

They start licking each other

Tenchi: Ferryl got big as she was giving her coat to Ranka and in a cold climate, animals tend to get bigger in order to maintain body heat. An awesome big sister

Ferryl begins to cry: I used to think my height was a bad thing but seeing how it help my sister I feel happy!

Kuromori: So you did have a complex

Ferryl explained her only goal was to take Ranka back home, but as Ranka refused and said she had a pack already, having no choice Ferryl decided to take Tenchi but he stops her

Tenchi: I think you're mistaken, I didn't join her pack she joined mine

Ferryl: Yours! what is this all about

Tenchi: Simple, I'm stronger and bigger than her and you little girl

The wolves start laughing but Ferryl for the first time looked at him

Kuromori: We can't even feel any power coming from you and you think you're stronger than the boss

Ferryl: feel nothing...(Us wolves usually can feel someone strength...If they are. For example, My father is a whole lot stronger than I am but...he feels like nothing...There are only two reasons for not feeling anything. One is they have no strength but that's impossible the second is they are on a different realm than you...)

Ranka pulled Tenchi's shirt: what do you mean bigger than nee-san?

Tenchi:Oh...yeah sorry I think anyone weaker than me is smaller but also 

Tenchi hair changes black and gets longer: ~Nurariyon size alteration~

Tenchi grows in great height taller than Ferryl

Everyone is in shocked

Tenchi: I can change my size

He starts glaring and trys to come near Tenchi

A wave hit all the wolves (but Ferryl and Ranka) and all of the wolves fell on their knees

Tenchi: This is where your eyes meet mine!

After a bit Tenchi and Ferryl talked for hours on their little sisters...

A famous Celebrity had come to the school and the school was excited

It was the famous Panda Meimei from China

Meimei went to Seton Academy with her manager Fonfon. She was offered some bamboo by Amano-sensei, but since it wasn't her favorite she wanted to leave. Fonfon had to order her favorite immediately to calm her down

On the next day, she was supposed to be walked around by Miki, but she decided to do so alone thinking it would be more fun. As she walked around the school, she ended up being attracted by panda dumplings smell from the cooking club and went and ate them all. Surprisingly to her, she got treated badly by Tenchi and thrown out when she demanded more dumplings.

On the next day, Jin was still refusing to make her more, but as she learned the club members decide what to be cooked, she went and bribed all of the members. Having no choice Tenchi agreed to make some, but told Meimei she will be working too. As she did, she got annoyed and threw the food on the ground, but Tenchi made her pick it up. To her surprise she started enjoying being abused by him.

She decided to enroll in Seton Academy and to join the cooking club, but Tenchi was against it (She did eat his food) and in the end told her she needs to get everyone on the club to agree.

 On the next day, she met Kurumi, the cat, who didn't like Meimei. Needing to make Kurumi feel better, they had to put Meimei on a cage, who ended up spending the night in it, as she wasn't giving up on joining the club. 

During the night, she explained to Kurumi this was the first time she felt fun and wanted to stay with Tenchi, Kurumi recalled how she was feeling and accepted her. 

In the morning Meimei told the club members she was accepted by Kurumi, but Tenchi was skeptical, yet decided it was enough and released her from the cage. He was also happy that he could send someone else to prison. Kurumi then showed up and showed some affection to Meimei, which was proof for her words and the club ended up accepting her. Ranka said she needs to lick the boss to be welcomed and Meimei ended up licking Tenchi

Claws...Speed...Agility...Bite force...Communication 

All things that need to be considered in a pack fight. The only thing that I truly lack in is the communication.  Let's do this once people!

Felines: We are used to being pampered like Kings and Queens. 

Wolves on the other hand exist to provide "entertainment" and "keep us happy." (Well in my case Dad kept Mom a little too happy, If you catch my drift.)

My family is everything but normal. I'm the only daughter so I guess I get spoiled a lot more than usual. I have four older brothers, three of which are Wolves. Lucky us they are triplets, sometimes it feels like my brother and are the only sane people in the house. My Mom is an actress meaning that we were born in the spotlight. My Dad was also famous as a star player in the Pack league. 

The Pack league mostly filled with Wolves and the occasional Feline. Now Pack fighting is the most sure fire way to be put on a pedal stool in this world. Us Felines are mostly seen as performers and staying true to our dainty nature became the "Artsits" of our world. Of course Wolves were in the industry but they did most of the nitty gritty work.

However people didn't expect US to turn this world upside down

The three Elders looked at Ragna like they were looking at a monster. They couldn't stand and could barely raise their faces to look at Ragna smirking at them. Even with all their strength, they couldn't even make Ragna touch his blade. 

They didn't say anything, they had no authority to appoint an Elder. The three Elders looked at each other with difficulty and with one look, they knew that each of them had the same idea. 

"Ok, we will ask the Sect leader to appoint you as an Elder. So can you please release the pressure on us... Also how do we address you?" The Elder said in the most humble way he could. 

"Ragna" 

Upon hearing his name, the Elder as well as the surrounding people tried to remember if there was anyone with the name Ragna who was famous. But no matter how hard they thought, there wasn't anybody with that name, forgot someone famous the name itself was unique.

Ragna did as he was told, and released them from his telekinesis. Feeling the weight was released the three Elders looked a bit relieved. After calming down the Elders looked at the thirty four new disciples of the sect, as well as the fearsome Ragna and announced.

"To all those who pass, get ready to leave tomorrow. We will meet at the south the gate, the journey to the sect will take a week to reach, prepare accordingly." After saying what was needed the three Elders looked at Ragna and bowed, but before they could leave, Ragna stopped them.

"Hey, can I borrow two gold coins from you?" 

When the people heard Ragna they were confused, a person with his strength was actually asking for two measly gold coins? Though the Elders were bewildered they still handed gold coins to Ragna, but not just two gold coins, they gave him a thousand gold coins. 

"Here, Ragna you can have this as a sign of goodwill no need to pay it back, it's a gift." To the Elders of the Heavenly Sword Sect even a hundred thousand gold coins wasn't much. Cultivators used a different form of currency, so it was easy for them to give Ragna that much, without losing anything and gaining his trust. 

Ragna looked at the three and nodded as he accepted the money. After giving him the money the Elders finally left the area. Once the Elders left, everyones' attention was on Ragna. Seemingly unbothered by the stares of the crowd, Ragna walked toward the north gate were he met Wei Long. 

Wei Long saw him, and greeted him, after Ragna was finished with the greetings, he gave Wei Long one gold coin. Ragna then proceeded toward the forest to level up. Wei Long was looking at Ragna with a bit of confusion. He didn't know how the penniless Ragna gained money, but he never expected Ragna, to pay back that one gold coin. 'Really what a weird guy.'

Ragna proceeded toward the area where he found a lot of wolves. After fighting with the three Elders, Ragna understood that he can't rely on the Invincible Barrier all of the time. Once he checked how much points was left on the Invincible Barrier, he felt a chill run down his spine. At the beginning he had 500 points of the Invincible Barrier, but after the fight with the three Elders, the Invincible Barrier's 500 points turned into a 400. That would mean aside from the three Elders who attacked him for a total of five times, somebody in the shadows attacked him ninety five times without anyone noticing. 

'If I don't get stronger faster, and the Invincible Barrier disappears then those people from the shadows, as well as those three Elders from the Heavenly Sword Sect will kill me. I really need to get stronger fast, good thing the Overpowered system, is a leveling up kind of system. I just need to kill a few wolves here and there, and my level will rise.'

Ragna started hunting the wolves in the forest, there was no mercy from him. Like a bot in an MMO every time Ragna saw a wolf he would immediately kill it, and go on to the next. 

Ragna had killed a bunch of wolves for three hours straight, and only level upped one time. Once he got to level 10 it was more difficult to gain experience by killing the wolves. While resting, Ragna heard a deep growl. 

When he looked at where the growl originated, Ragna saw a fifteen meter wolf. The wolf's fur was pure white, the presence it emitted was regal, while its deep blue eyes stared at Ragna full of resentment. 

The white wolf attacked, Ragna evaded the lunging wolf, and countered with blo*dedge, but upon contact blo*dedge bounced off. The skin of the wolf was too hard and Ragna's strength wasn't enough to penetrate it. He then tried using telekinesis to stop the wolves movements but to no avail, it just slowed the wolf a little, but it wasn't able to immoblize it. The current skills Ragna had wasn't enough to beat the wolf. 

Ragna needed to acquire a new skill. He then checked how much O.P points he acquired, it was around 3,000 points now. He needed to think carefully what ability he needed to beat the wolf in front of him.

The fangs and claws of the Ferocious Wild Wolves could be used to create hidden weapons that were of slightly better quality. They could also be ground into powder to create medicine. Its price was basically twice of the one made from a normal Adult Wolf. 
They might be difficult to handle for normal players, but experienced players who knew the wolves' attacks would actually spit at those "Ferocious Wild Wolves" and say that they were not fierce enough, and such was the case for Happy! The forest animals could not last long under his Shaolin's Long Fist, and he did not even have a chance to use the Jinchuang Ointment.
At daylight, all Ferocious Wild Wolves vanished, leaving only Adult Wolves wandering the area below Cold Mountain Temple. 
The normal wolves could not help Happy at all. At the seventh realm, Shaolin's Long Fist was already strong enough to handle difficult tasks with ease. Happy's footsteps came to a halt. When the duo left, he cast his eyes on an item that one of the people had examined for a longer period of time. Then, his expression changed.

There was an old jade on the counter. It looked incredibly normal, and it was placed among many other jade items. If it were not because of the duo's strange actions that stirred up Happy's curiosity and puzzlement, it would have been difficult for him to realize that there were some faint words carved on the jade slit ring.
In the world of martial arts, some of the older martial artists were worried that their martial arts would be lost or they would forget some words from their skills. Because of that, they liked to write down martial arts manuals or incantations on small jade pendants that could be easily carried around. Those jade pendants would only reveal their secrets in certain situations, and the jade before Happy was clearly one such item.

Happy smiled, looked away, and left. 
While the price of the jade slit ring was similar to that of the other jade accessories and he could absolutely afford it, he would not have any money to spare once he bought it. As they watched Happy leave, they looked at each other in dismay. 
"That shouldn't have been possible."

He just used the excuse of me being a witness to divide the bounty with me.

"Fine. You win. But let me settle down my daughters first." I said to Jura.

"Sure, we're going to unload the cargo here anyway. Just meet me back here." He said as I asked him about a place that is kid-friendly.

"Well, if you're looking for a place that can take care of your daughters while you're away, then head to Snowdrop Tavern. The owner there is an old grandma and her granddaughter. The owner was once a famous adventurer too. Just follow the street down there and head left at the first intersection, you can see the tavern by its sign." He said 

"I see. Then, we'll take our leave." I said as we followed his direction.

We ealked fir 5 minutes before I saw a sign named Snowdrop Tavern and entered the place.

"Welcome!" A bubbly voice sounded.

"Thank you." I said as I saw a teen girl coming to our direction.

"The prices are stated in the board and the only available room are those of two beds. Is that fine with you?" The girl said.

I then looked at the prices of the tavern. The prices are reasonable and if you are a customer, you are entitled to three meals everyday. Erza and Kagura can also play at their yard. I paid a rent for a week because I need to scout the place where I'll build my tavern. Which means I'll be venturing the wasteland of death.

I met back with Jura as we head to the adventurer's tower. We handed the Bandit king and I was surprised that the two are twins, not like it matters now. Jura reported the massive beast tide and I became the witness and confirmed that a massive beast wave is coming. Since I'm also there, I asked the clerk.

"If I commissioned people to build something in the wasteland of death, how much would it cost?" I asked and the clerk and Jura were both startled.

"Y-you do know what kind of place is the wasteland of death right?" Jura asked.

"Yeah. I do." One of the things that the wandering Noctis wants to do is to explore the entirety of wasteland of death and uncover all of its secrets. Unfortunately, he became a cripple before he stepped on the wasteland of death.

"Sir, although the request is doable, the price range would be doubled or tripled, depends on how fast you wanted it done. Also you would need to hire some adventurers of A-rank to protect the workers from harm." the clerk said 

"I see. Thanks for letting me know. I'll come back if I need anything." I said to the clerk.

"Absolutely sir." The clerk replied.

When we got out of the place, Jura immediately asked me.

"What are you doing in that cursed place? Although the price of land there is nearly free, the dangers of that place is unprecedented. What are you going to build in that place anyway?" He asked.

"Well, I'm planning to build a tavern in there." I said simply.

"A tavern? Why there? You can buy a plot of land here and build the tavern in the capital. Why do you insist in going to that place?" He continued asking me.

"Thanks for your warning, I appreciate it. but I will still do it regardless." I said firmly and Jura didn't speak anymore.

"I guess we'll split up here. Do your best in repelling the beast tide." I said as I split ways with Jura 

I went back to the inn and told them that if they got hungry, they can eat in the kitchen. I also told them that I would not be able to come back early because of 'work'. Erza understood that I am earning money for them to eat but Kagura doesn't have an understanding mind like Erza, yet. I consoled her for about 5 minutes before she stopped.

After consoling Kagura, I went to the adventurer's tower to ask if they are lending some horses to which they do. I pulled the brown horse at the north entrance and continued riding until I reached the border according to the map and saw a vast barren land.

'This should be the wasteland of death.' I thought as I looked over the land that emits some eerie presence.

I tied the horse to a tree before traversing the wasteland myself. In the map I acquired, the wasteland of death is like a big wall separating Alakitasia where Alavarez Empire resides and the Kingdom of Fiore. If I were to build my tavern here and got famous, my customers would be from Alakitasia and Fiore, meaning I would have customers from Alvarez Empire and Fiore, and surely fight would break out.

I need to be strong for me to manage the tavern.

I traversed the wasteland of death and was met with low level beast like goblins.

And as I thread deeper into the wasteland of death, I spotted gnolls, orcs, trolls, hobgoblins, and wolves. I evaded all of them with ease.

After a few hours of roaming, I saw the valley where Natsu and Zeref duked it out in the future. I asked the system the place where the tavern would be built.

I was surprised, I only intend to look at this mini-valley but it seems like the tavern would be built here. I looked around at the place where the perfect spot would be and thought that placing it in near the hill would be the best. I don't want my tavern to use the valley walls to make a cave tavern.

The sun was about to go down when I decided to go back with the help of the marks I did in the rocks and barks of trees. What I didn't expect was being blocked by a pack of dire wolves. They are not your average dire wolves because they are much bigger than the norm from what I saw from my predecessor's memories.

If I would compare them to your average dire wolves, this could be considered an elite hunting pack. What I don't know is if their pack leader is here or not. It would be troublesome if their leader is here because he could organize and form strategies. Having an elite party at his disposal doesn't help me as well.

A howl was heard from the distance as the wolves started rushing down to my position. Thinking of my dire situation, I calmed down and thought of my next moves before the wolves started attacking.

I positioned myself with my fist in front and the first wolf jumped to bite me.

"Impact knocking"

I dodged the wolf's claw and rammed my shoulder at its side before following it with knocking. Since it is my first time using impact knocking on the dire wolf, I rammed the wolf first to get a feel for their nerves and used impact knocking.

I cursed because I missed with a few mm error, barely hitting the point at all. I didn't get disheartened as it is the first time I used it on dire wolf. The wolf that attacked me smashed to a tree but it stood up and attackrd me again like a rabid dog he is.

This time it attacked me by swiping me with his claws which I dodged and it followed me as it opened its jaws to bite me. I dodged to the side and sent a pinpoint finger strike in its left shoulder to knock its consciousness out and it immediately fell down.

Seeing me taking their comrade down, the wolves started attacking me altogether and it certainly made my life harder as it only opened a few opportunities for me to counter. I didn't have an opportunity to be on the offense because waves of attack swarmed me in all angles.

What surprised me was the durability of this body, as expected of a body that was bathed in dragon's blood. The claws of the wolves didn't manage to pierce the skin at all. Mind you that Dire wolves are D-rank beasts and these pack were the elites. Their attacks should wreck a C-rank adventurer with ease.

As I took down wolf after wolf after wolf, I finally had some breathing room and I took the offensive and even took down more from the pack. When I finished, the sun had already gone down but I didn't let my guard down. Their leader hasn't revealed itself yet. I didn't notice if it is their pack leader or just a hunt leader because my mind is occupied on countering swift and fast attacks.

After waiting for a minute of waiting I breath a sigh of relief but that moment of carelessness was enough for the wolves' leader. It pounced on me aiming to tear my neck with its fangs but I have managed to dodge it, just barely as its fangs grazed the cloth covering my arms. 

When I looked at the one who attacked me, I was stumped. For all this time I thought that their pack leader is just a bigger dire wolf than them. But this dire wolf... is massive. It could rival one story house in height. Its muscles are bulky as well. 

He stood in the rock majestically, its fur is white as snow, its eyes were like the color of a deep black raven. It then howled into the night sky before looking at the knocked wolves and the man who did it. 

In my predecessor's memories, this wolf is a legend in the Wasteland of Death as the king of this place. It is said that whoever saw this wolf, would be a dead man for sure. Who would've thought that the wolf king would be the one leading the hunt?
