A skilled witch, blinded by revenge, becomes known in famous fairy tales. However, it's not the way she (or the reader) expected.

This is actually a book I wrote when I was 10 years old, so that's why it's quite short.

People scattered.

They all returned to their seats.

No one cared about the harsh words Zhang Ye said. This was because, be it Tian Bin, Jia Yan or Wang Xiaomei and company, everyone knew that it was impossible. Those who were not in school, because they were too young, would not be able to understand the stories. Those who were in school did not have the time to listen. This created this awkward situation.

Furthermore, children's literature was becoming more and more downtrodden. Be it the quality or quantity of works, they were all decreasing. If one carefully counted, the more famous new fairy tales this year only included "Can Kites Fly?" and "Tong Tong's Day". However, these two stories could not be split up and broadcast over an entire year, right? Children might not even listen to it. The same old stories were listened to over and over again. Those which were famous had been heard by everyone. Those that were not famous were not well-liked by everyone. So in such an environment, who would listen to the radio?

Not only the Beijing Radio Station, even many radio stations all over the country were cancelling their children story segments. The market was as such. No one could reverse the situation.

Hence, Zhang Ye's words were treated as a joke. Many people did not even bother retorting. There was no meaning behind having an exchange and clarification.

However, it was precisely because she did not read well, and some of her mistakes were very outrageous that the story felt almost like a comedy. The most important thing was that she did not pronounce the words incorrectly on purpose, and her awkward and suffering expressions nicely incited the audience's desire to vent about her pronunciation. Her timbre was beautiful––like the surging of clear spring water; like the dripping of water onto stones; like the rustling of tree leaves; and like the echoes of the tides––and her vocal range was shockingly large. No matter how picky a person was, they would not be able to find a problem with it.
Someone with that kind of voice and that kind of looks reading a fairy tale was enticing. She often made the audience members unable to control their smiles. Even if it was the morning with very little people watching live broadcasts, there were still a lot of people coming to her room from other live broadcast rooms.
She was unknowingly immersed in the fairy tale and did not notice that her number of fans was quickly increasing. As she was very concentrated, she got into the character of the female lead in the story. Although she often read words incorrectly, her voice already had emotions, unlike the emotionless and energy lacking voice she had at the start.

"Wouldn't it be convenient if you all lived here?"  Tayaw dropped another to the group. "YES!" Jenna answered excitedly despite her dorm only of walking distance from the Northwestern University Campus. "Who else?" Tayaw asked which was met by a silent 'YES'. "Good. We have four bedrooms. I already occupy one upstairs. You can all look around and decide amongst yourselves." Tayaw said and they all sprang from their chairs and together looked for their own rooms. 
"GUYS WAIT!" Jenna who had the shortest stride was left in the dust.
The group after a lively discussion among themselves finally agreed on their arrangements. Jenna was unanimously told to live in the big bedroom next to the living room, Ike and Inson would bunk in another big bedroom upstairs, and Ramil and Bay-an would bunk in the last big bedroom opposite Ike and Inson's room. Hoon, because of his introverted nature, valued his privacy just as much as Tayaw does. Because of that, he chose to be left out. While he doesn't have a bedroom yet, he is actually left with two choices. He can either occupy the vacant closet room facing Jenna's room, or the attic. He does not have his own bathroom but he can just use the guest bathroom by the dining area.
"Hey Hoon. How about the attic? It's very well insulated and ventilated.  The temperature can also be controlled by the air conditioning so you won't have to worry whether it's the dry or the wet season." Tayaw helped Hoon decide, which Hoon ultimately agreed with.
March 7, Monday.
The band did not move in immediately last Friday. After they were able to enroll together today and became classmates with each other, except for Ike who enrolled a schedule similar to the rest, did they only start moving in their stuff in the house.

Ramil smiled and gave Tayaw a knowing look. "Yeah. It's not like you also didn't." Tayaw chuckled.
"True. Why are you asking, by the way? Wanna lend me your truck?" Ramil said in jest. "Actually no. I want to by a Korean van to fit everyone to go to school." Tayaw said. "Man, just how rich are you?!" Ike who overheard the conversation was surprised.
"What's going on?" Jenna who just came down from her room to pick up more of her stuff in the garage, asked when she heard Ike's exclamation. "This dude wants to buy a van for our daily transport!" Ike replied loudly. "What? Really?" Inson also overheard and came over. "Okay. We should know. We don't want working for someone who might be doing illegal things." Ramil also said seriously.
"Fine. Fine. Gather everyone to the living room." Tayaw said as he went to the garage and picked up a box containing copies of his fairy tales. As he made it back to the living room, the six mates are already sitting on the couches. "Hey. What's in the box?! Ramil said you're doing something illegal." Bay-an said as he saw Tayaw walking over, the box he's carrying seemed suspicious in his eyes. "That's not what I said! Ike! You better say what I said accurately." Ramil replied in annoyance. "Bay-an, Ramil said he doesn't want working for someone who might be doing something illegal. There's a huge difference." Tayaw chuckled. He's not doing anything illegal, so he was not offended..
"Alright. Calm down and read these for a few minutes before you ask your questions. After five minutes, I'll answer your questions. Trust me."  Tayaw said as he took out copies of the book. "Oh. I know this book. It's quite popular nowadays." Jenna said as she flipped over the pages and started reading. "What's with the fairy tales?" Inson asked while appreciating the book's cover. The others also opened their copies.
A few minutes later. "YO! THEY HAD THEIR EYES PECKED BY BIRDS! How is this for children, dude?" Ike exclaimed as he read the ending of Cinderella. "Hey stupid! You're holding the adults version!" Inson shut Ike up. "Oh. That's right. I thought I was holding Children's version because that's what Ramil's holding." Ike said as he realized he did not read the title of the book he's reading.
"I didn't know fairy tales could be this fun to read. Too bad the stories are too short." Ramil said as he closed the book. The others closed their copies as well. "So, can you tell us now?" Bay-an urged Tayaw.
Tayaw then grabbed Bay-an's copy and stood up. "T is i who is't wroteth the books thee holdeth in thy palms." Tayaw said theatrically. "Uhh.. What?" Ike asked. "You wrote the books!" Inson said, understanding the first part of Tayaw's sentence. "What?!" Jenna exclaimed. Ramil, Bay-an, and Hoon just stared at Tayaw. "Oh my god! It's true! Look! T.L.D. Grimmauld! T.L.D stands for Tayaw's initials! I've wrote his name many times before!" Jenna exclaimed as she figured it out.
"Whoah … We have a world famous author right here."" Ramil said and just stared at Tayaw in amazement. "I've heard rumors about you. I think they're saying you're an old man enjoying his retirement." Bay-an said. "I heard that too. I also heard that you are actually a famous author who published the fairy tales in another pen name." Jenna also informed them of what she heard. Hoon, on the other hand who already recovered from his surprise is giggling to himself at the contrast of the rumors to the actual person. Tayaw, who saw Hoon giggling, started laughing as well.
Because he locked himself inside his studio practicing for the entirety of February, Tayaw did not have the time to scour the internet enough to find rumors about him. Many tabloids and online news portals expressed their difficulties in finding T.L.D Grimmauld's real identity. He also did not follow up with Ophelia from Nabla Observer for an interview so the rumors just snowballed into various theories.
"Anyway, that's the source of my fortune. Questions?" Tayaw said the the group. "Well. You're already rich. Why the music?" Ike asked. "My real passion is music. Why else would I go the trouble to build a recording studio and form a band?" Tayaw told them. "I don't know. Because you can afford it?" Inson just said while started daydreaming about becoming rich as well. "While that may also be true, how else did I become good enough to live as a musician? I was a musician first before an author." Tayaw explained.  "That's true. I think you're a genius guitarist. I don't even know how to play like you." Hoon nodded at Tayaw's reasoning.
"So you just got lucky?" Ramil said. "While luck has something to do with it, I think it's also because I happened to have written something for an untapped market that is fairy tales." Tayaw explained. "Hmm. I get it. I didn't know fairy tales could be better until I read your book, actually." Jenna said. "I understand. If the movies we've been watching are like the old fairy tales, and someone would release greater movies, of course the world would watch it." Ramil said while nodding to himself. Ramil's simile however almost gave Tayaw heart palpitations.
"Aherm. Yeah. It's just like that." Tayaw affirmed. "..  I bet the taxes are a btch though." Hoon casually said, but made Tayaw obviously flinch in their eyes. Seeing this reaction, Hoon's brows rose.  "I know it's not right to ask, but how much?" Hoon asked seriously. "I earned 400,000 last year and I paid 128000." Tayaw answered.
"Holy sh*t." Hoon's eyes widened.
"yeah…" the rest of the group was also speechless.

Hello, my name is Taki Kayaba and I am 23 this year, nothing more than a freshly college graduate who just happened to be lucky enough to land a dream job at a construction company as an "intern" Architect, working under my senior and learning to rope and to possibly succeed as his replacement when he retire in a few years.

There is nothing noticeable about me, nothing at all, just a plain mass produced cog that spins in the machine one calls "society". I did like what my parents asked me to do, study hard in school, get into the best possible college through scholarship, and finally get a job to support myself.

Other than that, they are dead to me, literally one is, after my mother died 5 years ago after giving birth to Misaki, my beloved little sister, my father immediately remarried to another woman and basically left us with my grandparents. 

I questioned his decision in my mind, something about this felt odd to me, I am not surprised if he is the one who caused my mother to die in depression after giving birth to Misaki, thus I kinda do hated him. 

But honestly, I don't really care anymore, I have family to take care of, more specifically my little sister, after getting my high-paying job, I managed to create a stable life for Misaki, trying to live up to the best possible standard as a father figure, in place of the man who left us with our grandparents, forcing them to use their retirement to look after us while he live a happy life with another woman.

But that is a topic for another time, currently I am in London, on a "business" tour, learning and studying architectural designs of old buildings and such to get inspiration, as on why you already know, it's for inspiration, but I doubt that was what the company management intention for this trip anyway, I already figured it out, they just want me to take a nice week long vacation, as a reward for the hard work I've been putting in.

I couldn't complain much about it knowing that it's a paid leave, I love having such good management under the company.

While in London, I might as well visit the famous "Big Ben" clock tower west of the Palace(which intended to be my next location of visiting) albeit you couldn't get through the gate due to obvious reasons.

But who said I can't just walk around outside the fence area admiring the beauty of arts? But of course let not forget the fact I need to buy souvenirs for my family, grandma would definitely love the teas, while grandpa? Well maybe a Cane would work, the old man likes to take walks, but his legs had been quite weak as of late.

The best of all deserve to be for my little sister, she loves reading books, albeit she doesn't understand most of it and needs explanation, what better to give her than maybe a large collection of Fairy Tales from the western world? I'm sure they have a shop for that here somewhere.

It wasn't long before I realized that- I am completely lost, abandoning the tour group and went on my own sound like a really dumb decision but there's no point in regreting it now.

"Where the hell is this place?" I couldn't help but to mutter quietly after looking at my surroundings now, from a busy metropolis to suddenly in a very quiet and old neighborhood with old fashion shops voided by customers. 

Walking down the old cobble street, something suddenly struck me, it was a feeling of familiarity, I was standing in front of an antique shop.

"The Thousand Dreams." That was the old antique shop name, the feeling was quite odd, I am sure that I never once visited this place before in my life, as a matter of fact, this is the first time I visited Britain and London! 

I couldn't help myself and thus I entered the shop, which was full of displays ranging from old muskets to full suit medieval knights steel plated armor. 

"Welcome, I'm sure I have all that you wished for." I was immediately greeted by the voice of a middle aged lady dressed neatly in a black wool sweater, of course she greeted me in the British accent of English, to my surprise, even with my crappy English speaking skill, I can perfectly understand her.

"Um, sorry to intrude, but what is this place?" I already know of the obvious answer.

"What does it look like? Of course it's a pawn shop, I lend money when people give me something to which I thought is beautiful, or worth owning, and if they can't pay back their debt, that item then belongs to me." she then pointed at all the displaying items. "Like all of these precious here." She then turned her gaze back on me.

"Now tell me, what do you wish for?" She smiled in a flirtuos fashion.

"I-uh, looking for a book, more specifically about fairy tales." I speak awkwardly in English with a bit of Japanese accent mixed in, I couldn't help it, English is hard!

"Pfft" the woman couldn't help but to break out in a fit of laughter. "Never would I have thought that someone would visit my shop, for books about fairy tales? You better off visiting a bookstore in downtown London ." she laughed for a good minute before finally calming down, I just stood there, quietly waiting, hoping to make myself look as small as possible, this is embarrassing… Who would actually pawn off books about fairy tales?!

"But, seeing such an amusing individual as yourself, I will make an exception, as a matter of fact, one of my clients has been… late on his payment on multiple occasions before he stopped paying his debt completely, he just happened to pawn off a very special book." She walked away from the counter and toward a glass displaying case, featuring a thick book that from guess, weighed at least 2-3 kilos.

She gently opened the glass display using a skeleton key before taking out the book and handing it to me.

"This little one is called "Book of Thousand Dreams" it is basically a compilation of countless stories and fairy tales, one that you seeked...although most needed to be finished." she mutters the last few words in a low voice.

I don't know what she is talking about, but at least that is one item off from my bucket list, I'm sure Misaki would appreciate this.

"How much would that be… if I… my ask?" I asked her, she only smiled before giving me the book.

"Cost? Don't worry about it, you know, I'm starting to like you now, just consider the cost to be "finishing up the fairy tales." for me." she told me, it kind of a weird price, but at least I get it for free, right? 

I then reached out to take hold of the book, however it seemed like I wasn't prepared for what coming next, as a powerful light assaulted me, my mind went blank- what just happened? Is all I could muster my thoughts to.

[The Story World revolved around a young squire girl by the name of Artoria, who is also the illegitimate daughter of the late King of Britannia, whom upon his death send his newborn daughter to his most trusted Knight by the name of Ector Walden, to be raised in secret, aways from the darkness of the nobility and their court.

To make it worse, after his death, the king's sons began a civil war against one another for the right to the throne, setting the kingdom ablaze and into a crisis, greatly weakening it.

In order to stop the conflict from further escalating, the Royal Mage, the late king advisor set a challenge by enchanting a masterwork blade named Caliburn and impaled inside of a stone.
"Whoever pulled this blade from the stone, shall be the King of Britannia." he declared, being the most powerful mage of the country, no one questioned his authority and thus-... Story to be Continued]

However, for someone who is crippled and blind in the real world, Yuan wouldn't mind spending all of his time just to play with Xiao Hua, who has a resemblance to his younger sister.

The world under the night sky seemed still, with the only thing moving being two shadowy figures and a ball.

"Xiao Hua, will you be fine with playing out here till so late? Won't your parents be worried if you don't return soon?" Yuan asked her after noticing that she has been out here for nearly the entire day.

"It is okay. Xiao Hua is always out here playing by herself, so they are used to it."

"..." His pity towards her increased with every moment he spent with her. "Xiao Hua, how about we take a rest from playing and let me tell you a few stories?"

"Stories?" Her eyes began flickering like the stars in the night sky upon hearing the magic word, and she instantly sat by the tree.

Yuan followed and sat beside her. "The stories I will be telling you today are fairy tales from my homeland."

"Fairy tales? Like mythology and legends?"

"Well… not exactly. Fairy tales are more of short stories made for entertainment rather than legends and such."

"What's the difference?"

"...You will know when you hear it."

Yuan began telling her famous and classical fairy tales from Earth that he's heard when he was young such as a certain individual poisoning a girl who awakened due to a kiss from a prince, mermaids in the ocean, and pirates fighting in the sea.

While it has been many years since Yuan has heard of these stories, he was still able to recall them clearly and greatly entertain Xiao Hua, who was not used to this genre of stories.

"These people… are they all mortals?" She suddenly asked him.

"To my knowledge, yes."

"This is nothing like stories of mythical beasts ruling the world or immortals overturning Heaven. It is normal, yet it brings so much entertainment." She didn't know mortals could be so entertaining despite being the focus of these stories.

"Do you have any more fairy tales to tell Xiao Hua?" She asked.

"Unfortunately, that was all I could remember. But I will find some more to tell you later."

"It's a promise!"

"It's a promise." Yuan smiled.

"Okay, then it is Xiao Hua's turn to read." She opened the same book she used to teach him Heaven's Secret Art.

"That's…" Yuan wondered if she was going to teach him another skill.

"Although Brother Yuan has already learned the technique, you have not fully mastered it. However, with your powerful comprehension, Xiao Hua believes that Brother Yuan will master it in no time."

Thus, she began reading.

However, this time around, Yuan was only able to understand everything from the beginning only to lose compression later on. It felt like he was listening to a story with a plot that quickly deepens as it progresses, becoming more mysterious and profound.

"It's already morning?" He wondered how long he had been in that trance state.

"Oh… You're awake, Brother Yuan." Xiao Hua rubbed her eyes and casually sat up. "Did you learn anything new during your enlightenment?"

"Enlightenment? Is that what that feeling was?"

"Un."

"I see… Right, I have reached the second stage of Heaven's Secret Art and learned Heaven Splitting Sword Strike."

Xiao Hua looked at him with her eyes slightly widened more than usual, seemingly filled with surprise.

"Good job, Brother Yuan." She gave him a thumbs up a moment later. "But your cultivation base is lacking, so you will not be able to use it right away."

"Right, it says I need 10,000 Qi for its activation. Is it the same Qi as the one I absorb when cultivating?"

She nodded to his question.

"It says I have 5,010/10,000 Qi right now. If I max it out and use the skill, won't my Qi be depleted and I will have to cultivate until I gain it back?"

"Your depleted Qi will naturally recover until it is in its original state so you will not have to cultivate every time you use a technique. However, recovering Qi naturally takes time, and it will slow down your cultivation. That is why cultivators do not use their Qi pointlessly." Xiao Hua explained to him as though she was an expert. "Additionally, if your Qi falls below a certain point, then your body will be in a weakened state until you recover your Qi."

Yuan took his time digesting all of the information. "So if I have 100 Qi and I use a skill that requires 10 Qi, my remaining 90 Qi will naturally recover back to 100 without the need to cultivate?" He asked her just in case.

Seeing her nod, Yuan fully understood the system. "So it is just like any other game but with a slight twist that requires more management. Qi is required for skills but also for a breakthrough in cultivation; it would be unwise to use it unless necessary."

"Thank you, Xiao Hua. If not for you, I would still be clueless right now."

"Brother Yuan, gratitude is shown with action, not with words." She patted her own head, causing him to laugh.

"Right, right. Thank you very much…" He said with his hands on her head.

After Xiao Hua was satisfied, Yuan stood up and said, "It is about time for me to leave again, but I will be back later."

Xiao Hua didn't stop him this time and nodded. "Bye-bye, Brother Yuan. Play with Xiao Hua again when you get back, okay? Here, you can use this to call me." She handed him a necklace that she had just removed from her neck.

Yuan accepted the necklace without much thought. "Then, I will see you later." He waved at her before disappearing from the sunlight like a ghost.

After Yuan left, Xiao Hua stared at where he stood before logging off, seemingly in a daze. "Thank you, for playing with Xiao Hua…" Her body suddenly began to flicker, and her body glowed with beautiful light.

"It was fun… really, really fun…" Her body slowly broke down into tiny lights, floating above the clouds before disappearing.

"…A New Year's Party hosted by the Kasolan Kingdom? Are you an idiot? Why would you report about such a minor event in such a minor country? I'm going to dock your wages… What? This chaotic scene resembled a busy editing department right before a deadline.
They weren't in a green-forested, blue-skied fairy tale land at all, however. They were in a city filled with the trappings of culture. Hordes of people busily walked in the streets, while nearby factories were loudly at work. There were printing factories, toy factories, handicrafts factories and so on—clearly a large variety. The main difference from other cities was that all the people walking down the streets were actually tiny fairies.
The sky was quite overcast with no sunlight to be seen, but the streetlights forever provided lighting. The fairies didn't construct a miniature city for their tiny sizes—it was human-sized, instead. This was mostly because there were other species working here. Muscular giant pixies, which were two meters tall but had slack-jawed expressions that indicated their lack of intelligence, were the tiny fairies' distant relatives as well as their protectors.
This mystical city wasn't located in the Mortal Plane—it was in the little-known Grayshadow Plane. The fairies didn't fear death as they gathered information throughout all of Eich because they weren't actually capable of dying in the Mortal Plane. Their bodies in the other Planes were, in fact, a special type of shadow negative energy projection. If any fairy met with danger, all they needed to do was cancel their projection.
However, this didn't mean that they were undying. They had special bodies capable of living in such a negative energy Plane as they themselves were a combination of energy and life. Fairies were actually an abnormal species made of half energy and half life power. They were like other lifeforms' shadows, and they needed to have other species recognize and know about them to provide them with an energy similar to the power of belief, which would allow them to remain "alive." Otherwise, they'd become nothing more than decayed corpses.
They also needed to constantly replenish this type of special energy. Eating food wouldn't provide them this energy—they were capable of eating actual food but could only taste it. If a fairy said he was starving, this meant he was about to die.
That was why, from ancient times to present, other species had gotten accustomed to these little fairies that were seemingly everywhere, always making the news. In fact, other species even believed them to be members of the Mortal Plane. The fairies also gradually mastered the artform of "keeping a constant presence" in front of the other species in the Mortal Plane.
The fairies were by far the most skilled at establishing information networks and merchant associations even in the most dangerous of locations. This pudgy Dark Fairy named Blake was the third biggest boss in this city. He owned four toy factories, two printing factories and more than ten magazines, newspapers and editing departments.
