Sihwa had only seen [Watermelon] once in the live broadcast room, but she hated his domineering look a lot. It was one thing to come into the live broadcast room and only look around without giving any gifts, but what right did he have to act as if he was a lifelong mentor and point fingers at her? She felt like her unlucky streak had begun as soon as she met the person with that ID. From then on, practically nothing went well!
When she saw the ID again, she wanted to pull him out from the screen to give him a beating, then strip him of his clothes and throw him in front of the shop to show the public… However, the anonymity of the Internet made it impossible for her to do that, so she could only glare at the screen angrily.
"The host's angry look is so pretty! I feel like I need to change to a 4K monitor to make it more convenient to lick the screen!"
"Tut-tut! Every expression can be used as a wallpaper…"
[This Old Man Is Unrestrained]: "Continue! Don't stop!" *gave a hairy crab and left a message.*
Sihwa originally wanted to continue being angry––to use her glare to make [Watermelon] scared––but when she saw someone sending presents, she instantly smiled brightly.
There were also people asking her what city she was in; they could not tell from her accent, as she spoke perfect Mandarin but had the occasional weird Korean words.
She still remembered the instructions that Zhang Zian gave: she should not expose what city she was in––and even more importantly, she should not expose her specific location. Otherwise, if the Live Broadcast Platform found out, they might close her account. She did not mind that, but the problem was that, after her account was closed, the money other people gave her could no longer be retrieved.
Sihwa did not really understand why people were willing to listen to her read out fairy tales, but the reason was simple: listening to a broadcaster read fairy tales and listening to a broadcaster sing were not that all that different. In essence, the viewers still looked at the face of the host and listened to their voice. It helped, too, if the host knew how to act cute. Although she did not know how to act cute, her face and her voice were at the level that would crush any competition.
She took up a fairy tale book and cleared her throat. "What kind of fairy tale do you all want to hear?"
"I only want to hear the host speak more. Anything is fine."
"To be honest, I want to hear a horror story. I'm currently at a rest stop on the highway, so I desperately need to lift my spirits up…"
"How about The Seven Heroes and Five Gallants?"
"I want to hear **Pure… F*ck! Why is ** censored?"
For a short time, the audience's opinion was divided, but out of what the audience suggested, practically none were fairy tales––or at least none were the fairy tales she had heard of before.
[Watermelon]: "Anchor, aren't you cosplaying a mermaid? Then just read The Little Mermaid."
Sihwa did not want to acknowledge [Watermelon]. She planned on scolding him as soon as she finished broadcasting, but quite a lot of the audience supported his suggestion.
"The Little Mermaid? What book is it in?" Sihwa flipped to the contents page of the fairy tale book she was holding, but could not find that name. After all, the book she was holding was a compilation of Grimm's Fairy Tales.
[killme]: "Is the anchor acting cute? Although I have never read the story before, at least I know to find it in Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales."
[Split Second of Darkness]: "This fairy tale is quite famous, but I haven't read it before, either. I only saw the animated version by Disney, and I found it quite average."
[The Grim Reaper Is Here]: "Actually, the story itself is quite average. It's just a story about a prince and a princess, but the tragic ending is quite different from normal fairy tales."
[Sour Pineapple]: "Times have changed. Now it's no longer the prince and princess that's popular; what's popular is an overbearing CEO and a Mary Sue."
[Dragon Knight Yin Zhiping]: "I don't like Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales. All the fairy tales he writes are tragedies, like The Little Match Girl and The Little Mermaid. Why are books that are written for children written as tragedies?"
[Two Dogs]: "What the f*ck! The one who sent the bullet screen––you have the guts to say that? I saw the picture of you riding the dragon and I really wanted to tear the book at that moment!"
[Dragon Knight Yin Zhiping]: "Comical emoji!"
[Watermelon]: "Actually The Little Mermaid isn't considered a tragedy, right? I remembered that Andersen left this fairy tale open ended… He hinted that the mermaid had risen to the elfin world, which is much better than staying in the human realm with the prince and the greasy and crooked woman giving birth to a whole bunch of naughty kids, right?"
[Wind Maker]: "Haha, naughty kids must die!"
Sihwa noticed that particular bullet screen, even though it came from the ID she hated the most.
"Elfin world?" She became interested, and opened her mouth to ask, "What's with the elfin world?"
Most of the people in the live broadcast room were men, and even if they had read the fairy tale before, it did not leave a deep impression. For women, even if they had read it before, they were often more concerned with the mermaid's sad ending; they generally did not notice the 'elfin world.'
No one could answer her question, and the only person who seemed like they could answer, [Watermelon], became silent.
Horrible!
Sihwa had no other choice. She found Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales, then found The Little Mermaid from the contents page. She flipped to the corresponding page.
"It's so long! And there are so many words I don't recognize!" She quickly skimmed through it. As if she felt discouraged, she wrinkled her brow; reading that fairy tale was going to be a really big challenge.

She saw that the audience's bullet screen mentioned that The Little Mermaid was a tale regarding a mermaid, which made her care about it even more. She did not see the ending of the Korean drama with the mermaid, but at least the fairy tale definitely had an ending, right?
"All right, then I'll start reading…" She cleared her throat once again, then began to read the story out. She talked slowly, as she stumbled over many words as she read. "In the faraway sea, the water was very blue, just like the most beautiful corn… flower petals…"
When she met words she did not know, she could only read them according to the Pinyin. She cared about the reactions of the audience, so she was not entirely focused. She would pronounce a word incorrectly from time to time, or she would entirely read the wrong word, which caused the audience to send bullet screens to vent about it.
However, it was precisely because she did not read well, and some of her mistakes were very outrageous that the story felt almost like a comedy. The most important thing was that she did not pronounce the words incorrectly on purpose, and her awkward and suffering expressions nicely incited the audience's desire to vent about her pronunciation. The bullet screen comments were very close together, and there were often people sending gifts.
Her timbre was beautiful––like the surging of clear spring water; like the dripping of water onto stones; like the rustling of tree leaves; and like the echoes of the tides––and her vocal range was shockingly large. No matter how picky a person was, they would not be able to find a problem with it.
Someone with that kind of voice and that kind of looks reading a fairy tale was enticing. She often made the audience members unable to control their smiles. Even if it was the morning with very little people watching live broadcasts, there were still a lot of people coming to her room from other live broadcast rooms.
She was unknowingly immersed in the fairy tale and did not notice that her number of fans was quickly increasing. As she was very concentrated, she got into the character of the female lead in the story. Although she often read words incorrectly, her voice already had emotions, unlike the emotionless and energy lacking voice she had at the start.

I have been deceived by the idea of fairy tales. One upon a time, there was you and then all of a sudden a charming prince on his white horse came to your life. There might be witches, ogres, giant beanstalks, beast, and a lot more monster, but your prince charming was there to the rescue to save you. No one will hinder your road to happy ever after.
It is true.
Fairy tales.
For me fairy tales are true.
The magic of life, the happiness each one could give to a person, the feeling of being inside a book, the gladness of the heart when being loved, the pain inflicted by someone who broke your trust, the struggles as you survive the everyday journey.
Those enchanting memories exist only in books, not in my life.
I am in search of my own fairy tale.
I am still waiting for that day when my once upon a time could lead to a happy ever after.
I grew up thinking that someday I would be able to write my own version of a fairy tale just like Cinderella's and Snow White's. My childhood was a magical life for me. As I stepped into a new world, met a lot of people, where everyone was not as you thought as they were, I came to realize that these magnificent endings are only for the kids, for the simple, innocent world they have built.
I am not a princess, I have no chariot, I am just me wishing for the fairy tale story.
Once upon a time, I was a teenager who thought love came to her and would never leave her side. The prince charming, I thought who could love me for the rest of my life, was the same monster who killed the happiness in me. Now, the princess who didn't own a long, pink gown, was running away from the story they had both started. She was looking for the real story of her life.

Aspen's story didn't start in the beginning. It started when someone dearly to him was removed from his life. Read on to find out how two unlucky stars have found their way to collide.

I called Sarah to get a bandure from my room.

- Elisabeth, do you have any special musical wishes? Remember that I don't sing in German or Swedish.

After a while Sarah returned with the instrument. Having no idea, I played something that popped into my head first.

I sang a few more songs when I suddenly realized that someone was pulling my sleeve. I looked down and Queen daughter Sophia  was standing by my chair.

I picked her up and put her on the table. The queen wanted to say something, but I signaled with my hand that her daughter did not mind me. 

- How can I help Princess Sophia? 

- Do you know any fairy tales? Elisabeth says you know a lot of them. 

I looked at my wife with resignation and let her know that she would pay me for it. I knew a lot of fairy tales, but spending the evening entertaining a group of kids was not my ideal way to waste my free time.

Like it or not, I told a few fairy tales from my childhood. All the kids looked happy, and I had to drink ... more than one.

The next morning, I had a huge hangover. I didn't really feel like spending time with my wife's family, I wasn't fit for work ... so I decided to laze around a bit in the garden. Perhaps in the open air my hangover will pass sooner.

Of course, with young children in the castle it was not possible, as soon as I managed to take a nap for a while, an army of these little barbarians appeared. They begged me to tell them some stories ... Gods, why was my wife not an only child? ... but maybe soon she will be.

The only place I could escape was my office, I sat down behind my desk, started going through some documents, making some annotations from time to time.

Mr. Wrona entered my office. 

- Mr. Hetman, the Queen and her son would like to speak to you. 

- Well, you can bring them in.

- Your Majesty, Prince, what can I do for you. When it comes to hunting, unfortunately I can't take you today, but if you want, I will give you someone to guide you around the area.

Without the fluffiness of Behe's fur nor bunches of Bobunny's cute fluffiness combined to make a bed, I find myself sleeping on one of the empty sofa. It's quite, maybe because most of the kids are taking their afternoon naps, and the one that doesn't either finishing up their homework, training inside the training hall, or simply keep quite as they didn't want to disturb those who are sleeping, which in turn, makes me drowsier just by thinking of it

"I wonder if the Fairy Queen will make the trial and the rite for the Avery hard"
"True. She might be the queen, but I heard that she's just as, if not, even more mischievous than us" 
"Poor Avery Farhah, but if she couldn't complete any trial that's thrown by the queen, then she couldn't possibly complete the rite of the Avery"

The rite of the Avery. Right. Right. I remember the rite one hundred years back... What was it again? I can't remember well... Maybe because of the curse that prevents any information related to Fallen God being passed down from generation to generation affecting me. Maybe, but I get the feeling that

Since we encountered the three of them, we promptly invited them inside the camper van golem. Giving them some fresh cold juice and little bit of snacks, Rean brief them what happen back at the New Headquarters, and when our part of the story done

"Mostly thank to your fellow siblings of the orphanage. They really are raring to help you. We only ask them one thing and look at the amount of information that we got from them" [Anjin]
"Some of them are outdated, while some are false, but most of the other tell us the same thing, consistent with the information brokers" [Khamishah]
"If that's the case, hearing it now while we are searching for the Tree of Life will be the best" [Kara]
"True. I'm getting tired of not getting any results whatsoever" [Farhah]

True. Farhah has been the one that throughly searching every nook and cranny, and yet there's no sign of Tree of Life. The gigantic Tree of Life shouldn't be that hard to miss. I mean, the description might vary from person to person, and from tales to tales, but one common point is that it's big and stick out as compared to the rest of the trees

"Both of us were positive that most beastman nowadays, whether from or outside of Beastman Kingdom branded that group as nothing but a terrorist group" [Singa]

Calypso is strong (and old as well...), she's been helping us a lot in the past six years, most notably helping Farhah and Karon training inside this dungeon, but I still find it difficult to imagine her fighting. Even a fairy as strong as her can be brought down by brute force, so if other fairies who's weaker than her... 

"Anyway, we need to start searching for the Tree of Life, or maybe searching for Fairy Queen Titania first" [Khamishah]
"That would be the best" [Rean]
"True. Night will soon fall upon us, so let us make haste" [Farhah]

He handed Qin Guan a colorful hardcover book.

The protagonist of the story was a handsome young man with a pair of transparent wings on his back. He looked like a fairy from old fairy tales. He was good friends with squirrels and liked to play with a cow on the field. His magic stick could make flowers bloom and corn ripen. The neat haystacks on the field were also his work.
A girl was sleeping under an orange lamplight. She had been blessed by the handsome fairy. The story was composed by a series of paintings portraying the sweet dreams of a girl. In her dreamland lived a perfect fairy.
The book had a sweet, warm style to it. The candy-like colors were refreshing for the readers. The old woman was really good at narrating tales to children.
Qin Guan put the book in his bag carefully before he asked Linn about Tasha.
"My agent received a contract and some money from her. On second thought, I will accept it."
Linn had turned on the camera. "Just keep it. It might be nothing for either of you, but it's still the kindness of an old lady."
Qin Guan nodded and walked over to a chair. "So, Mr. Linn… You are not a very loyal friend. TIME is not paying me anything, but you could at least cover my cab fare."
Linn felt the impulse to throw the camera at him. He realized that the young man was a moneygrabber, but he tried to control himself at the sight of his perfect face.
"No star has ever asked TIME for any money. Just remember all the people who have been on the magazine's cover! Who do you think has gotten reimbursed for their cab fare? I'll give you double… No, five times the fare!"
Qin Guan sat up on his chair awkwardly and switched to working mode. His eyes were sparkling in the camera like a rising sun. Every person and prop around him suffered an eclipse.
After the first click, Qin Guan changed his expression slightly, impressing Linn. He was a professional model after all. Outsiders would not have been able to distinguish between the two expressions, but the pictures were actually quite different.

The only problem with ranked exams is with the attack on the school the exam results are only now going to be available a full month after we took them.
Soon we're going to have more testing, but ranks for this month have been put off because of the attack on the school, so the next ranked exams won't be until the end of the semester.
"Dungeons are areas in which high-level monsters and low-level monsters can be fought for the prizes that they keep deep within the dungeons. Scholars believe that Dungeons were originally the place where ancient kings kept their treasure, others believe that they are former dragon dens. Each Dungeon is unique and some even have magic that makes them alive. They are ranked as so, E class, D class, C class, B class, BB class, A class, AA class, S class, SS class, and Legend class. Adventures or the landowners are free to explore the dungeons though league rules state that you must have at least one adventurer in that class to face a dungeon or you yourself have to be at that level or above it."  The top student whose name I don't know answers.
"Very good" Professor Erza praises her.
"Lets talk about how to face them and what might be inside. Dungeons are dangerous anything above B-class is basically a death sentence until you are that level and are traveling with at least two or three B-class adventures. Even a single B-class person wouldn't think about clearing a C-class dungeon alone. Dungeons are also constantly expanding new magical creatures move in and out all the time. Which in turns mean no magic and items are constantly moving out. Does anyone know what that means for the dungeons?" The class stays silent at Professor Erza's question.
"It means they are never truly defeated and a D-class dungeon can turn into an S-class dungeon if you get rid of every magical creature within the dungeon and let something more powerful move in, like a Guardian animal or wyvern or something powerful like that," Malachi answers, not waiting for the professor's permission.
"Good Malachi understands, each dungeon is classified but we adventures never defeat them unless they are AA and above, because the lower dungeons can be used again to train new warriors. Dungeons are a good way to train your skills, we in two weeks will be going through an E-Class dungeon with a B-Class adventure, myself as the chaperone. This is your first dungeon and we won't be going very far in. Today I want to hear your oppions on dungeons and how to approach them. What is the best magic to combat a dungeon?"
Several kids shout out different answers.

I would go in with swordplay or something else and only use small-time spells, nothing that could quite literally explode in my face, not to mention the right magic depends on the conditions of the dungeon. In an ice dungeon it would be best to have fire magic, but if you're facing a dungeon in a volcano, water and ice magic should be perfect for that dungeon." Malachi's long-winded answer gets a look of approval from the teacher.
"Adaptation is by far the most important thing that you learn as a mage and an adventure. Everything changes constantly if you have a one-track mind and are only dependent on one skill you will be killed. Unfortunately for most of you, you only have one type of magic. For some of you, this gives you a very broad range for others very limited. This is one of the reasons adventures also have to adapt in their body. If you can't keep up with a first-year swords student basic workout you will have no place among adventures. Of course, the severity of the workout should increase as you go up the years." Professor Erza informs the class.
He emphasizes the workout part to make sure it gets in to us magic student's head.
"You know... there's a question I've been wondering. I get how the sword play the knowledge about how to run a kingdom comes in helpful, the magic control, but what do dungeons have to do with learning how to be in a fairy tale. Like don't gett me wrong, I just don't have any recollection of a story about someone in a dungeon. Why can't we learn to be like a traveling bard or something. Why dungeons?" I raise my hand asking the main question of how the hell this even relates to fairy tales.
"The headmistress has informed all the teachers to change our curriculums to be away from preaching about fairy tales. She informed us at the beginning of the year not to put ideas into the students head. This is just... experience. It will help you in life and death situations, acting and reacting. This is why I'm choosing a dungeon as our first field trip of the year. Afterwards we will spend most of the time working on magical sparring. Control in it's physical form, not just trying to deepen your reserves or feel magic in the air. This is the course I have made for all of you first years." Professor Erza calmly answers my question
"Okay but still are we aren't we trying to be the main characters in fairy tales?" I reform my question
"Yes and no. I truly believe that we write our own destiny. I everyone is the main character of their own story, as for if it gets written down. I guess that's up to the people we live our life with and ourselves. Instead of pressuring you to be your parents, I want you all to just be you, no matter how evil, idiotic, brave, or nonchalant that might be." Professor Erza finally gives a satisfactory answer to me.
