We can only love. We don't have the ability to unlove them once we are hooked. The amount of love may increase or decrease. It may change face but it will never wither. It would always be within us with or without our consent. You may say it's gone but sometimes it just sleeps because we try to act nonchalantly or we're accustomed to the pain it brings... but it is still there, waiting for the right time to wake up and, once again, flow in our veins...

Everyone knows fairy tales, they are read to us as children. Every fairy tale has a happy ending, or at least our versions do. This isn't an ordinary fairy tale, there is no 'happy ending', only lies and stories that make us believe there is. Follow the story of four teens that were about to start a war.

With a wave of tremble, the Wuling Hong Guang drove up to the sidewalk and stopped in front of the pet shop.
The door opened and Zhang Zian got off the car.　　
The chic ladies glanced at him while they passed by, then covered their noses in disgust and kept a distance from his car.　　
Despite the fact that he didn't specialize in the seafood business, he drove to the beach each day, and often took rare marine creatures, such as fish, shrimp, and crabs, back. He could not wash the containers in the car everyday, so after some time, the car inevitably smelled like fish.　　
Wang Qian and Li Kun greeted him, and carried the new marine creatures into the aquarium. They sorted them and put them into different quarantine tanks so that they could adapt to the new environment.　　
Zhang Zian walked into the shop. The cleaning job was almost done, so he didn't have much to do. He took the underwater loudspeaker battery upstairs to charge.　　
He met Old Time Tea on the stairs. He hinted Old Time Tea and asked gently, "How is it?"　　
Old Time Tea smiled gently. "Everything is under your expectations."　　
The man and the cat looked at each other and smiled.　　
"Quack! What are you talking about in secret? What are you hiding from me?" Richard had sharply sensed the unusual atmosphere while it flew by. 　　
"Right. We are discussing you behind your back––specifically plucking your feather and making you into a stew," Zhang Zian threatened. "After you become stew, the world will be quiet."　　
"Quack! My meat is old and dry––it wouldn't taste good in a stew. I suggest you pick another bird!" Richard flew away quickly.　　
Old Time Tea walked downstairs slowly for the television, while Zhang Zian headed upstairs to wash his hands. They carried a fishy smell after they were soaked in the sea. He could still feel some fine, sea salt granules after his hands were dry. 　　
As soon as he entered the bathroom, he saw Sihwa hide something in a hurry.　　
He pretended not to see it. After turning on the tap, he asked, "Why aren't you broadcasting today?"　　
Sihwa was angry and humiliated after hearing his question. "Today… I'm not in the mood today! I don't want to broadcast!"　　
"Okay. It's nice to take a day off sometimes." Zhang Zian wiped his hands, then left the bathroom.　　
"Wait a moment!" Sihwa shouted behind him.　　
"What is it?" Zhang Zian stopped.　　
"Emm… This… Emm… That…" she stuttered. Her pale face turned red because she needed his help. After stammering for a long time, she took out a book from under a towel. "I can't read. What can I do?" she asked, troubled. "I know a few Korean words, but not any Chinese words…"　　
She could play with the phone, as the phone functions were simple––as long as she remembered the icons. She could make guesses on others, or ask Zhang Zian if it was too hard to guess. However, reading a book full of Chinese characters was mission impossible to her.　　
In fact, she had learned a few Chinese words since she had arrived in China. But she had learned them mechanically; she didn't have any formal, systemic teaching.
"You must be laughing at me, aren't you? You absolutely are!" She pointed at his face in fury before Zhang Zian had even said anything. She was almost embarrassed to tears.
"I'm not laughing at you. It's normal to be illiterate. Nobody is born literate." Zhang Zian shrugged. "Otherwise, they'd be a freak."　　
After hearing his words, Sihwa's mood calmed down a little.　　
"Well… Is there anything you can do to make me literate?" she asked, lowering her head.　　
"Yes. Lend me your phone for a moment." Zhang Zian took her phone and downloaded a few early childhood education apps from the app store. They were all basic-level, but entertaining word learning apps nonetheless; he started with Pinyin, which had real people's voices. The apps were already quite developed, and the functions were complete.　　
He compared a few quickly, then left the most user-friendly one and deleted the rest.　
"Here you are. Follow this. You'll learn them soon." He gave the phone back to her.　　
"Wow! So childish!" She complained as soon as she saw the interface for young kids. "Are there any long-legged Oppas or big-boobed girls teaching the lessons?"　　
"Save it. I'd love to learn if these teachings existed!" Zhang Zian took up her book and flipped through it. The book from Old Time Tea was not suitable.　　
He returned the book to Pi, then found a few fairy tale books with pictures from his childhood book collection. Each character was marked with a Pinyin illustration.　　
"After you learn Pinyin, you can read these books. Just learn the words while reading the stories." He piled the books on the bathroom closet. "Oh, right––books are not waterproof. Dry your hands before you read them. These are books from my childhood. Most of them can't even be found these days."　　
"Books from your childhood?" Sihwa seemed skeptical. "Could there be… Any dirty content in them?"　　
"These are all fairy tales, okay?" Zhang Zian said with frustration. "What kind of person do you think I am? These are the books I read at the age of five or six. What kind of dirty content can there be?"　　
"Fairy tale books? I'm not interested… too childish." She shook her hands. "Let's get something dirty!"　　
Did this fish get contaminated by that bird? What was in her head all day?　　
"You are wrong. In fact, fairy tales are not necessarily childish," Zhang Zian said. "Even adults could interpret content differently sometimes."　　
"What do you mean? I don't understand." Sihwa grew slightly interested.　　
Zhang Zian thought about it, then made an example she could understand. "In fairy tales, you often read stories of Cinderella meeting the prince…"　　
"I know this! It happens a lot in Korean dramas, too!" Sihwa suddenly turned excited, as if she finally found someone with the same interests as her.　　
"Yes, right. That's why people often call Korean dramas 'fairy tales for adults.'" Zhang Zian suddenly changed his tone. "But have you ever given thought to the fact that, in the end of fairy tales and Korean dramas, the story stops where Cinderella marries the prince?"　　
She nodded in agreement.　　
"What about the story after?" Zhang Zian continued to ask.　　
"What story after? It's over!" She didn't understand.　　
"I mean, two people from completely different worlds… Are they really happy after marriage? The prince and Cinderella had completely different educations, family backgrounds, and growing experiences. After marrying the prince, Cinderella must have faced a truckload of royal relatives. Did they really respect and accept her? Did love really defeat all the challenges? Even if it did for a while, what happens after the passion dies out?"　　
Zhang Zian's series of questions made Sihwa astonished.　　
"The boring, everyday life of the world after marriage is never mentioned in fairy tales, nor in Korean dramas. They always end with the line that Cinderella and the prince lived happily ever after. Although they didn't mention this, you can try to imagine, then tell your audience about your thoughts in the live broadcast. Isn't this great?"　　
Sihwa was drawn in gradually. In the past, she had never used her brain to watch dramas. She either laughed or cried as the story went along. She had never thought about the questions Zhang Zian had brought up.　　
"Would the audience like to hear this?" she asked.　　
"Of course," Zhang Zian said in certainty. "You can also try to make up sequels to fairy tales and tell everyone. You have such lovely voice. I'm sure people will like it."　　
"Really? I have lovely voice?" Her confidence was already shaken from one blow after another. She was no longer as arrogant as before. 　　
"It's absolutely lovely. I'm not joking. If you don't believe me, ask the other elfins," he said, suddenly feeling that his words might have been too mean in the past. 　　
"Oh… okay. But don't lie to me…" she mumbled gently as she picked up the fairy tale books.　　
"What are these?" She browsed through the covers one by one.　　
"They are all classic fairy tales written by great writers all over the world, such as fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm, fairy tales by Hans Christian Andersen, Aesop's Fables, One Thousand and One Nights, Zhang Yuanjie's Fairy Tale Collection, etc. They'll last quite a while," Zhang Zian said, introducing them one by one.　　
"Oh." Her eyes glided through the colorful and entertaining covers. She saw a prince with a sword on a white horse, a grey wolf wearing a pajama hat, a little girl with a match stick in a snowy night, a tin man with big belly, a little duckling staring at the sky, a fox with a broken tail, an ugly toad, a mouse driving a tank… She also saw a little mermaid sitting on a rock, overlooking the sea. 　　
For some reason, the figure seemed so lonely.　　
Under an unrecognizable impulse, she opened up one of the books, even though she didn't know a single character in it.　　
"I can't read it…" she said in disappointment.　　
"It's fine. You'll understand it once you learn the characters." Zhang Zian encouraged her. "Be patient! These fairy tales may seem childish, but in fact, you can find non-childish stuff in it. As long as you read them with your whole heart, you'll surely discover something different… Then, you can share your thoughts boldly with your broadcast audience."　　
"Okay. Let me try." Sihwa looked at the fairy tale covers again. She was more eager to learn now than ever before.　　
She wanted to be able to read the fairy tales. She wanted to do what Zhang Zian described––to write sequels for the finished fairy tales. She was the only one who could do it, and who was qualified to do it.　　
She picked up her phone and entered the child education app, imitating the mouth and sound movements against the image on the screen.　　
"A… A… Bo… Bo… Ci… Ci… De… De…" she read off while peeping at Zhang Zian's facial expressions; she wanted to confirm that he was not laughing at her. She then continued reading boldly.　　
"It's fine. You can read loudly. Raise your head and straighten your back. Read every word boldly," Zhang Zian encouraged her.　　
"A… A… Bo… Bo… Ci… Ci… De… De…" she read even louder, like a baby learning to talk.

“Introductory” 

 
 

Unlike common epic tales wherein the settings focus on 2000 B.C.-1900 A.D., this love story somehow happened in the modern world of 21st century present time, in Beijing China, wherein there's a royal clan of an early Chinese dynasty monarch that made it to survived through time, and are still practicing the customs and traditions of indigenous, Chinese, communal heritage. 

 
 

To introduce this clan, let us have a short refreshment first on history. . . . 

 
 

Early China was being reigned by eleven well-known dynasties. Here they are: 

 
 

1. Hsia dynasty 

-ruled during 2000 B.C. 

-founded by Yu 

-early Chinese government referred all the kings of Hsia as the "son of heaven, but because of their tyrant government, this dynasty was easily vanished on the history of China. 

 
 

2. Shang dynasty 

-The second dynasty ruled in China at the middle of 1600 B.C.-1027 B.C. 

-it is during the bronze period wherein they gave attention on the development of these certain industries: selling of polished cooking pots and jars, sculpting of jades and marble stones, and creating writings and pictures on stones, human remains, woods and bamboos 

-Chou dynasty takes over their place after their defeat in 1027 B.C. 

 
 

3. Chou Dynasty 

-it ruled for over 900 years, back in 1027 B.C. 

-during their reign, there's an improvement happen in agriculture, trades and transportation, while their government became more centralized compared to previous dynasties 

-men riding on horses sprout during this period 

-great philosophers like Confusius, Mensius, Lao-tzu and Hsun-tzu became well known 

 
 

4. Ch’in dynasty 

-Ruled during 221-207 B.C. after they defeated Chou dynasty 

-during their reign, there had been an overall expansion of Chinese empire 

-Shih Huang-ti is the greatest emperor of this dynasty, and his greatest contribution is the structure "Great Wall" 

-Li Ssu became popular 

-it was on this dynasty that the name CHINA was being used 

-Han dynasty takes over their place after the death of Shih Huang-ti in 210 B.C. 

 
 

5. Han dynasty 

-founded by Kao Tzu in late 202 B.C. and continue until 220 A.D. 

-this dynasty never practice "tight-fist government" 

-Ch'ang-an became the central state 

-China became well known in terms of power and fame under the reign of Emperor Wu Ti 

 
 

6. Sui dynasty 

-It is during this reign between 581-618 A.D. that states of Chinese empire became reunited again after 300 years of diversity 

-Sui continues the building of great wall, and at the same time, the making of grand canal that connects the Yellow river and Yangtze river. These two, plus the series of wars leads to a tyrant government, and eventually results to the downfall of this dynasty 

 
 

7. T'ang dynasty 

-Sprouts from Sui dynasty, T'ang reigns between 618-906 A.D 

-it is one of the golden age of China, being the culture center of Asia during those times 

-Budhism became widely recognized because of the series of missionaries sent by king Kanishka of Hishan empire 

-Ch'ang-an became popular on its monasteries, temples and palaces 

-T'aitsung was their second emperor which was later on took over by Wu How who became their empress during 690, but she was being thrown out in 705 

-series of wars ended T'ang dynasty's reign in 907 A.D. 

 
 

8. Sung dynasty 

-Ruled in southern China between 960-1126 A.D. 

-during this period, China became popular on porcelains and garments which led on its further development 

-there's a progress in arts and technology 

-its greatest inventions are papers, printers, wheelbarrow and dynamites 

 
 

9. Yuan dynasty 

-ruled during 1260 A.D. after they defeated Sung and ruled for over 34 years 

-founded by the Mongols led by Genghis Khan which was later on succeeded by his grandson Kublai Khan 

-this dynasty is the greatest empire ever built on the history of the world

"Just to Name a Few"
 
Our epic starts on the simple life of Ch'ing crown princess, Shin-li. Well, just to describe her, let's take a look on this short list:
1. She is not pretty, but certainly beautiful with long, straight, black hair that is always tied by a ponytail.
2. She is easy-going, joyful and fun to be with.
3. She is not a princess type but more deserves to be a female knight with her bow and arrow that are always at her side.
4. She is outrageous and easy go lucky.
5. She always gatecrash their palace just to get along with the commoners.
6. She is certainly not feminine - eats a lot, talks a lot, laughs a lot.
7. She is fond on horses and her favorite sport is archery.
8. She sings . . . sad to say, it is not ideal one just like what everybody thinks it is.
9. Her circle of friends are the boys in the neighborhood.
10. She always skips her lessons.
 
Take note: She hates target shooting - A.LOT.
 
 If a typical princess is the one who always stays inside her room and learning how to be an ideal woman and an ideal wife someday, well, princess Shin-li is not the type that a typical prince charming of most fairy tales dream of.
 
She is a princess who always dream of freedom and enjoyment, away from the critic eyes of the King's Counsel. Being the only child , Shin-li grew up, living her life on wherever or whatever the king and queen chooses for her - what type of clothes she will going to wear or on what food she will going to eat and even on what type of character or personality she should be.
 
Her life is so simple because she always disappoints the whole monarch on her every ways.
 
But, what if it is now already time for the whole kingdom to find for the deserving successor of the throne? And all of a sudden, Shin-li's simple and silent life turn into a whirl wind?
 
Okay, here goes the list of the three "aspiring" prince charming on the rescue:
 
1. Yuan Gheo'to [pronounce as: ge-yo-to; "Gio" for short]
- The easy-go-lucky successor of Yuan clan. He is the son of the king's secretary of state and the best friend of Shin-li. He is her protector and he knows all her flaws. They are best buddies on orgies. Being her only childhood sweetheart, he already loves her ever since. The question is if whether  she feels the same way too?
 
2. Tang Kent-li (English name: Dione Tang)
-a prince charming type, Dione was race in the family of surgeons. As a result, he became one too, with a specialization on cardiovascular surgeries. He grew up on States, though he is a full-blooded Chinese. What is interesting about this man is his great passion on the sport known as archery. Monarchy always attracts his interest and he is familiar on Confucian classics. He is a smart young man who had a great likes on brave girls and is attracted on women that can ride on horses.
 
3. Seto Dom 'yo-gi [pronounce as: Dom-yow-ji]
-often called as Yugi on most characters of this epic. He is the hardheaded, windbag and prime topnotcher Casanova ever lived. He is the son of the prime minister. He likes to bullied people with atmosphere that is far from his world. He do not believes in love and always wants to play because for him, everything are all games - even in terms of hearts. He was born with a silver spoon on his mouth and believes that he already have everything, only except for her, and this girl challenged his pride so much. He had a strong front though loner and deserted inside. He is happy-go-lucky and is engage from one fight after the other. Favorite sport: TARGET.SHOOTING.
 
Now, the biggest question ever is who will be her knight?
 
One warrior princess and three handsome cavaliers. On these three right ups, one is the pretender; the other is the shadow, while the other one left is the knight in shining armor.
Who will emerge victorious? Who will stand up as the best? And most of all, who will wins her heart?
                    Is it the pretender?
                    Or the shadow?
                     Or the knight?
Who is this knight . . . ?

Ch'ing Shin-li, crowned princess to Chinese Monarch will discover love, friendship and faith in  midst of lies, political schemes, and family feuds.

Some time passed and Qin Mei returned with a nurse and the doctor who had first looked at Minmin when she arrived. Seeing the strange people enter the room Minmin immediately dug herself into Lin Xiaoxiao's embrace trembling. Seeing this made Lin Xiaoxiao frown. It seemed her trauma was worse than she had thought. 
"Minmin you have to let the doctor take a look so they can find out if you are okay or not." Lin Xiaoxiao tried her best to coax Minmin. 
It was only after much coaxing from Lin Xiaoxiao did Minmin finally let the nurse and doctor do their jobs. When they were done they exited the room with Qin Mei. The doctor had a bitter smile on her face as she said: "Miss Qin it would seem Miss Min is suffering from a case of age regression. The trauma she had suffered was too great for her mental state. Which is why her current mental age is somewhere around three to seven years old. This occasionally happens when someone has experienced great trauma like Miss Min. It may take some time but Miss Min should recover over time." 
Hearing this Qin Mei felt her heart sink. The poor child suffered such trauma that she was forced to regress in age to block out everything that happened to protect herself. Qin Mei sighed and then thanked the doctor and went back into the room where Lin Xiaoxiao was now reading  Minmin a story from her phone.
"From inside of the box I heard, quite clearly, a thump. The lid opened by itself, and out jumped the boy..." Lin Xiaoxiao was currently reading a fairy tale called "Stealing Peaches[1]".  She could tell something was not right with Minmin so when she asked to hear a fairy tale. Lin Xiaoxiao did not ask why and quickly looked one up to read.
"Fairy Lily are you, my mom...?" Minmin asked sleepily her eyes were half shut while she asked this question.
Lin Xiaoxiao froze. She was confused as to why Minmin would ask such a question. Hearing this question Qin Mei quickly walked forward and placed her hand on Lin Xiaoxiao's shoulder saying: "No she is your sister, I am your mother don't you remember Little Min?"
Lin Xiaoxiao was still confused as to what was going on but if Qin Mei was acting this way there must be a reason why. "That's right I'm your sister Little Min."
"Sister...? Mom...? Wu! Wu! Sister, Mom! Little Min had such terrible dreams!" Minmin once again burst out crying. 
Flustered Lin Xiaoxiao quickly put her phone down and pulled Minmin into a hug. Qin Mei also went around the other side of the bed, sat down and started rubbing Minmin's back.
