After she finished her Vlog she went for the door.

The hallway was pretty fine than the destroyed cargo cabin. She dashed as she was heading for the ship's bridge for one she thinks that the ship can still fly and there is more data there. But after a couple of turns she receives a warning.

"oh now I'm not that immortal after all" mocking herself, she felt the same despair fell to her back when she was dying and talking to her wife but as she slumps down she saw the name of the door in front of her.

Anne remember that this ships R&D department is researching gravity generators the one from a neutron star but it was too big and only works on non-planet based power source.

She opened the door and began looking for a terminal because all of this place data is isolated from the servers this was her second place to go to.

As Anne read to all the files available in the database she began to take an understanding of what is the current situation.

This ship is one of the backup research unit of the Brotherhood of Solis; an underground organization that runs in the outer rim of the Yuan sector.

Even though it sounded like money and it does for the fact that Yuan sector is one of the larger sectors out there, Yuan sector has few underground organizations and the Solis is one of the smaller ones out there. Their specialization is Android tech or lightweight Mecha Suits.

Android is interesting for one Anne is one of them and they make weaponized model that pique her mercenary self.

Anne's current model is a Tracy SXB-8923; Tracy is the general name given to prostitute Android or a Courtesan model, SXB stands for literally sex-bot and 8923 means 89th body and the 23 is for her series number. She even found out that her model is rather rare only 10 model is made and her series's AI are different on one another hers was conveniently named Ann.

Upon further research she found out that her sister is being auction with 14 million Universal Dollars with a buy out of 83 trillion Universal Dollars, 'Poor Jennifer being sold as a used goods' she felt pity for it even their AI is modeled after a submissive nympho it's still one of her own.

After getting side track she focus on the article and look for components to fix her battery issue.

The Solis's Android model AXH-672H and AXT-747G are the major mass produced units they have made. AXH or Axial Heilion is a female model and more agile than its counterpart while the AXT or Axial Treion is a male model and a heavy Android.

This two are the base model of all the Android army they export to the government. Even though they were an underground organization they have heavy dealings to government.

Anne run through the database looking for parts when she came to find that gravity generator was not the Solis original design rather it was from a forgotten tech.

It was the one Anne encountered when she was still a he but the one she knows is an Alien tech and needed an element known as material X.

Material X or Element X base on who ever you ask is a heavy element it is most abundant on the center of a galaxies but it can also be found on the core of certain stars for example our own star the sun.

So Anne went to the core of the laboratory and to see if it is what she think it is. Upon reaching the cargo she was at awe for she was correct.


"Phantom Generator... and its a completed one... let's see now if my theory is correct if I rearrange this one... put it over here it should start to shrink... hahaha there now if I can get my hands on a reverse unobtainium...." 

Anne scans for alternative when she notice that the lab have a very big theatre that looks over the vast space but this one way too dark. She can see a large array of light waves but for some reason she can't see a thing on this one and she is sure that this window is made of see through crystals.

"wait is that a black hole" upon realizing that it may be possible to jump the cube she scampered to all of the materials she need to build a new power core.

"AI power status.... wait one more rename:"

She grabs few vibrainium rods and crystal processors. Anne run to the nearest airlock and jump to space.

The cube has very little Material X left but when she went out she inputted atomic signature of Material X to her scanner when she came contact with the black hole.

She let the cube do its thing and harness the Element afterwards the cube got its fill it lay dormant like a baby sleeping. Anne did not bother the cube it may look like a cute harmless creature but she knows that this thing can erase reality with ease. 

She now run her new found power of programming to manipulate the cube from a safe distance. Anne plans to compress the gigantic black hole to the size a marble then make her battery compartment.

She used the ship's reserve power to run her Processor Array to save hers but she needs to finish this thing fast or someone might got lucky and finds this floating in space.

This world is far too similar to Anne's former lifetime just scale it up to the universe's level or we can even say it got exaggerated and super size.

44 sectors or 44 worlds each one call them selves differently and there is no chronological order for them. This sectors even know each other it was the humans from Anne's planet connected all of the sector together by literally fusing all of them to one reality plane.

It was 1987 when the Americans found an artifact with unknown age, a prefect cube shaped object with jet black and crimson red highlights. They thought that it was a power generator was the solution to the oil crisis.

But what they got was far more than what they bargain for, it was mid of 1999 when they began the actual experiments and a disaster was bound to happen.

The project was proposed by CERN, it was to jump start the Cube and they accidentally found out about the element x. It was first propose to be called particle X but was dismissed due to the fact that it was partly stable and well easy to produces that time. The Element was highly reactive to the cube upon this discovery they mass produce the Element.

The Element defies the laws physics; at small quantities it seems to follow the constraining laws but when bundled it just burst and all mayhem occurs. But back then it was controlled experiment very controlled.

Fast forward to 2004 the project was abandoned it was due to missing personnel.Then CERN began its cover ups, articles upon articles where made but non of them made public.

Then their experiments lead them to hyperspace travel but it came to a halt because of espionage and sabotage by some private Corporation.

After a few more attempts CERN mastered the tech but thing is the Element that they found dose not suppose to exist. This fact was realized when one of the researcher began looking through the archives she noticed that they kept expanding the memory drives without knowing what's filling it up.

She found out the proper encryption code and began decoding the files.

What she found was really bad it was the records of all the experiments that they did but the twist is that some of them never happened.

The thing that gave it all away is that she was one of the participating researchers on it and she doesn't have the proper credentials for it. She alerted the head staff but unknown to her the whole situation is already spread out to the laboratory there are more unknown encrypted data banks.

A few more days later the began seeing more and more of the time slips or reality time distortions. This and a couple of other issue made them rethink the whole project.

More and more problems occur until one of the signed nation demanded results. Under heavy pressure CERN totally abandon the project and it was passed to a private company that rushed everything well to their excuse CERN did not gave them their papers and other data.

This lead to a very drastic change in the out come of the experiments. One major flaw they did was that they store the cube and the element in the same facility.

This resulted to a large meltdown that includes the facility and the surrounding habitation, turning it to a wasteland.

But this not the most devastating thing happening was after the meltdown every people align with the project old and new retain their memory basically all of the people that work on the project that time retain their memory.

If you are asking what really happen that day those people might explain it truthfully but you wont even comprehend what the actual F**k happen that fateful day.

I can explain it in my own perspective or understanding.

On that fateful day lets say they all went to a psychedelic trip its like the movie where the main goes to a trip to the  quantum dimension but just get the visuals and also that trippy venture to the magical world, that is definitely is one of the worlds that's a part of this universe well more of that next time.

Imagine that all of your memory came back after an amnesia, if that doesn't work then how about you just remember all of your drunken shenanigans along with a major hangover I think that's close enough. Upon a little confusion the researchers had a unanimous decision that they will pick out the best possible out come of all the timeline memories.

The truth is that the fusion of the cube stopped the space-time continuum which means that the timeline of this universe already stopped so meaning every thing died that day but one more thing occurred.

At the place where the explosion occurred which is not on earth by the way its to much of mishmash of scientific words so were going to skip that. The main point is that, that place became a empty space well the definition of empty is in the most literal meaning so its empty, devoid of any type of matter well as we  know how physics of the current world works when something is devoid of structural building blocks it will collapse.

In fact this was proposed back when the big bang theory was allegated as a known fact. It was stated that the known universe is expanding and it was because it was one big (you all know what should be here) explosion stuck in the clutches of time as it was proposed in the theory of general relativity, and it is going to collapse some time when it stop expanding in the same manner as it was expanding.

This is where this explosion differs the thing that exploded is not bound by the governing laws of this world, so when the cube detonated it erased a full galactic plane. Then that plane collapsed dragging a couple parallel planes with it.

It was the desperate move of a neutral party that the universe became stable and his/her efforts gave birth to the world that is what it is now.

Everything has its consequences; for the one responsible they have to live the memory of every one that die and how they died, upon reincarnation. As for the Dude that save the universe His works will only be remembered by a few.

As for the first timeline in Anne's life what happen after his death is still a mystery.

Anne is a world renown stone cold sniper. Being in this profession enemies are here and there with his bounty reaching astronomical heights he was bound to die some way or another. "I died, get thrown to a world with little to no laws inside a body of a objectified female sex bot what is wrong with you... you psycho"

The next day, Ves and Gavin woke up and prepared for another day of Kinner shopping.
This time, Ves resolved not to go back empty-handed this time.
His extensive talk with Gavin pulled him out of his obsession of collecting the best of the best, regardless whether they were available to him or not. Continuing to pine over Commander Oryn Mair after the mercenary captain resolutely ruled out working for him should have been the end of the matter.
"It's truly a pity to leave behind a gem in the rough." Ves shook his head in regret. "Still, the price I have to pay in order to obtain an unattainable treasure may be greater than I can stomach."
His actual demands were nowhere near as high. Hiring a decent Kinner mercenary corps ought to satisfy most of his immediate needs with regards to his security.
Rounding that out with a personal bodyguard and an experienced spy adept in virtual security filled up the other gaps. Though Ves could always hire more, his budget wouldn't allow it at the moment. He would just have to stick to the safer parts of space.
After heading down to the hotel lobby, Kelandra greeted them both with an amiable smile. "Good morning, Mr. Larkinson. Shall we resume our search at Ornament Halls, or do you prefer to visit the smaller recruitment venues instead?"
"Let's return to Ornament Halls." Ves decided after a brief moment while holding Lucky. "There are plenty of mercenary corps we haven't encountered yet. I've also readjusted my priorities, so I might want to revisit some of the mercenary representatives that I've spoken to before."
"Alright. We can do that."
As they began to walk towards their aircar, Ves also mentioned his other demands.
"After discussing my lack of qualified help with my assistant, I'd also like to hire some other bodies outside of a combat force."
"Such as?"
Ves listed out his list of priorities.
"I was wondering if you would turn to the rest of our job market." Kelandra nodded in understanding. "Many clients who visit Bloodstone have the same needs as yours. While we are famed for our loyal Kinner mech pilots, not everyone is destined to follow their vocation. Aside from raising logistical personnel to assist our mech pilots, we also excel in raising Kinners who can fulfill other jobs. While low-skilled labor is our most abundant export product, we do offer a fair amount of specialized, high-skilled labor."
"What is their quality?" Gavin asked.
"Do not expect to encounter any exceptional talents. Our systematic education system is geared towards educating a large amount of qualified Kinner experts instead of trying to raise a small number of exceptional talents. Those that do happen to turn out exceptional often join the tribal corps or auction themselves out to our most wealthiest customers."
In other words, Ves should not expect the best. Just like with hiring a mercenary corps, he still lacked the wealth and reputation to buy out the most premier Kinner tribesmen.
The aircar lifted off from the hotel grounds and flew towards Ornament Halls. The short trip ended quickly and the passengers disembarked in order to enter the bustling grounds.
They first resumed touring the halls where the Kinner outfits hung out. Ves talked to numerous representatives, finding out their history, their track record, their fighting strength, their price, their willingness to be bought out and so on. Most reps happily answered his questions.
He kept his spiritual senses peeled for remarkable individuals, but he found no one that came close to matching Commander Mair.
Although Ves could keep looking for better options, he did not wish to prolong his search any longer than necessary.
He decided to take a brief break and discuss his options with Gavin and Kelandra.
"What about the Uliver Dornshields?" Their guide suggested. "While their mech pilots are on the younger side, they are very enthusiastic about signing on to you, Mr. Larkinson."
Gavin shook his head. "They are rather lacking in experience. None of them have ever traveled beyond the region surrounding the Kinner Tribe. I'm not sure they'll be able to handle the situations we encounter as we travel further away from their home state."
"That's a good point." Ves remarked. "While younger Kinners have the advantage of a longer shelf life, their lack of experience can be a serious detriment. We can't afford to train them on the job. I need mech pilots who are already competent and capable of adjusting to different environments."
A short pause ensued as Gavin perused the notes he took on his data pad. "Remember the Pulsar Thieves? They've been around for several decades, experienced various ups and downs and undertook missions on both the Friday Coalition and the Hexadric Hegemony sides of the star sector."
Ves shook his head. "They are kind of washed-up, though. You can see the tiredness in the eyes of their representative and accompanying mech pilots. They just returned from a mission gone wrong and are on the lookout for an easy retirement."
"Yeah. Their drive is obviously lacking. Their average age is also on the higher side, so their shelf life isn't very long. Despite these factors, they still dare to price themselves as if they are still in their prime."
The group entertained other suggestions. Though Ves did his best to lower his standards, he still found some issue that disqualified a particular Kinner outfit from consideration.
Gavin became increasingly more exasperated at the nitpicking going around. "Fine! What about the Battle Criers!? Sure, they're a bit cruder than the other outfits, but they tick most of your boxes!"
"The Battle Criers?" Ves seriously considered the suggestion. "They're a bit.. unorthodox."
Kelandra knew more about them. "No one expected the Battle Criers to last, to be honest. They rose up from humble beginnings after their founder, Hugin Cinnabar, joined hands with a band of like minded former cadets after graduating from the mech academy. Somehow, despite their shabby mechs and limited numbers, they've grown to a respectable height over the years, mostly due to their penchant for accepting odd missions."
"That has backfired on them several times, though."
"True, but it is admirable how the Battle Criers never came close to dissolvement even after suffering a loss. Unlike the Pulsar Thieves, they still managed to retain their fighting will."
The representative of the Battle Criers was a bit.. colorful. Frankly, the Battle Criers reminded him of both Lydia's Swordmaidens and the Flagrant Vandals.
They simultaneously possessed the savageness of the Swordmaidens while pairing it up with the occasional cunning and lack of scruples of the Vandals.
Unfortunately, the Battle Criers did not possess the single-minded devotion to training of the Swordmaidens or the military discipline of the Vandals.
The impression that Ves got out of observing the representative and accompanying mercs was that they were a bunch of courageous but dim-witted ruffians.
Yet how stupid could they really be if they managed to survive for a couple decades?
Ves developed an interest in their mercenary commander. While Hugin Cinnabar was just as old as Oryn Mair, the two were completely different leaders. Whereas Commander Mair enjoyed a privileged military upbringing, Commander Cinnabar rose up from the lowest ranks.
While Commander Cinnabar lacked much of the training and sophistication of Commander Mair, the founder and leader of the Battle Criers still managed to climb to the same height from a much lower starting point.
"Commander Cinnabar must be quite resourceful despite his humble origins." Ves surmised. "It's not easy to start a mercenary corps from scratch and keep it going for two decades."
Though their story was quite remarkable, Kelendra did not entirely approve. "I'm not so sure whether the Battle Criers are the most suitable mercenary corps to protect you. They are much more capable of performing offensive missions. While they are still willing to serve as protective duty, it goes against their instincts. I've heard stories that their men can get unruly if nothing exciting happens."
"I think I can handle that." Ves determined. "If not me, then Commander Cinnabar will surely be able to keep them in line. He's got them this far. If he's willing to accept a protection mission, then he's surely prepared to address this problem."
There were plenty of reasons to hire the Battle Criers.
They were a mixed mercenary corps. They fielded one landbound mech company and one spaceborn mech company. Whether in space or on land, Ves was assured of all-round protection.
They possessed two serviceable light carriers along with one small logistics ship and two transport ships. Such a fleet was sufficient for them to operate in deep space and cut off from civilization for half a year or more.
Their mech pilots were a mix of younger and older Kinners. While they suffered occasional battle losses, they always recruited young blood to invigorate their ranks. In this way, they pooled together youthful enthusiasm with tempered veterancy.
They possessed a good employment history. Only a few failed missions marred their record, and none of them placed the bulk of the blame on their forces.
Best of all, their buyout price was very reasonable, regardless whether Ves opted to obtain their assets.
All in all, as long as Ves didn't mind being around some rough men and women, he'd be able to obtain the dependable and trustworthy Kinner mercenary corps he originally set out to hire.
"Their mechs and ships are still kind of shabby, though. Commander Cinnabar is not a believer in paying for quality." Gavin pointed out one last flaw, as if to deter Ves. "While it's all well and good to replace their old mechs and ships with brand-new ones when you return home, right now we are far away from the Bright Republic. Do you really want to entrust your protection to a bunch of mechs that already look second-hand when bought?"
That happened to be one of the reasons why Ves initially dismissed the Battle Criers. Commander Cinnabar's haphazard command style frequently resulted in losses. This development likely steered him towards purchasing cheaper and more expendable assets.
For this reason, as a fighting force, the Battle Criers depended more on their quantity rather than their quality to win battles. The overall level of training among the Battle Crier mech pilots also left something to be desired.
Compared to Commander Mair and his Edge of Redemption, the disparity in strength was significant!
Yet the more Ves thought about the Battle Criers, the more they started to grow on him. His nostalgia towards the Vandals and the Swordmaidens left him with a lingering attachment towards crude but earnest mech outfits.
"Alright, I've decided!" Ves stood up with gusto while picking up Lucky. "We don't need to hire a crack mercenary troop to fulfill a mere protection duty. The Battle Criers are more than sufficient for the job! Let's go and speak to their rep!"
Though both Kelandra and Gavin still possessed some doubts, this was one choice that Ves was determined to follow through.
After referencing her comm, Kelandra led the group to a hall at the periphery of the grounds that they visited before. Once they squeezed through the crowd of clients and mercenaries, they eventually reached a corner where a rough-faced mercenary representative sat on a chair with his feet propped on a table.
Ves observed the squished carcass of a native Bloodstone bug stuck on the sole of the representative's boots. Its blood and insectile juices had dripped down on the surface of the table long enough to turn dry.
His lips curled up in a rueful smile. He had already resolved to endure some uncouth behavior from his guards.
"Hello again." He began. "We've spoken to you before, remember?"
"Huh?" The representative blearily directed his bloodshot eyes as Ves before taking a huge swig of his cheap beer. "I dun remember you. Fagh! When am I finally done with this boring duty?! PTUH!"
A beer-laden glob of spit landed awfully close to Ves' impeccably clean shoes.
He was starting to have second thoughts about this idea.


Humanity has conquered half the galaxy and the Age of Mechs reigns supreme!

Ves Larkinson lacked the genetic aptitude to become a famed mech pilot. Fighting against his fate, he studied mech design in order to express his love for mechs as a builder instead of a soldier.

When Ves graduated from college, he returned to a new but empty boutique. Left with a small, newly founded mech workshop that his father painstakingly built with a mountain of debt, Ves somehow needs to make ends meet with the bank breathing down his neck.

In the midst of his despair, he found salvation from another legacy his father had left.

"Welcome to the Mech Designer System. Please design your new mech."

The interviewer, looking through the application files said, "After I reviewed your applications, I had to invite you all for an interview to meet with you in person; your applications stood out to us. As you already have noticed, this area is hard to reach via public transit. So we expected an employee to have his or her own car. Do you all have a car?"
"Yes." Gun-Ho answered vigorously.  
Other female candidates answered the same. The job advertisement clearly said the company preferred someone with a car; so only the people with a car would have applied for the job. The director asked, looking at the file.
"Ms. Mi-Young Oh, you have quite a lot of work experience in the field. Do you have the level-1 computerized accounting certificate?"
"Yes, I do."
Gun-Ho looked at the lady, Mi-Young Oh, who was wearing glasses.
"Eek, I might not get this job. I only have the level-2 certificate. She has the level-1 in addition to work experience."
Gun-Ho was on pins and needles.
"Ms. Yoo-Mi Shin, you have the level-1 computerized accounting certificate, level-1 computer Word Processor, and ITQ Excel certificate. Oh, you all know how to use Excel, right?"
Everyone said yes except Gun-Ho; he hesitated. Closing his file, the director looked at Gun-Ho.
"Mr. Gun-Ho Goo? You are the only male here… You have work experience in a factory. Are you good at Excel?"
Gun-Ho added his work experience in the factories to his resume, but he didn't clearly write that the experience was from the work in a production line. The director seemed to understand Gun-Ho's work experience as an experience in an office in a factory. Gun-Ho didn't know how to do Excel; he was sweating.
"I will learn."
As Gun-Ho said so, everyone in the room looked at him strangely. The director said with a smile.
"As you all know, a bookkeeper should know well how to work with Excel. Our company uses Douzone accounting program. Sometimes, we store backup data in Excel."
Out of the four applicants, two had the level-1 certificate, and everyone except Gun-Ho knew well how to work with Excel. Gun-Ho felt embarrassed. He thought having the level-2 certificate was enough to apply for this type of job, but it wasn't.
"The bookkeeper lady in Dongil Tech where I work for right now doesn't have any certificate. I am so surprised there are so many people with the level-1 certificate."
Gun-Ho wanted to leave the interviewing site.  He didn't remember how the rest of the interview process went.
"I was a big frog in a small pond!"
After the interview, driving out of the interviewing site, Gun-Ho felt shocked.
"The ladies are younger than me, but they have the level-1 computerized accounting certificate, and good at Word Processor, Excel, and PowerPoint. My life has been a waste."
Gun-Ho wanted to cry. He felt like his current job as a factory worker in his current factory was meant for him and his true vocation. When he returned to the factory, the team leader gave him a bright smile.
"Did you go to see a doctor? What did they say?"
"I feel better after getting an injection and a pill. They said I would be okay after some rest."
"Then why did you come back to work? You should have gone home and taken a rest."
"I'm okay."
"Man, okay. Good. The truck just came in. Let's go and help them with the loading."
 
A few days later, Gun-Ho received a text message from the AH Tech where he applied for a bookkeeper position.
"We are sorry to inform you that you have not been selected for the bookkeeping position this time. We hope to have an opportunity to work with you next time. We appreciate your interest."
"They don't have to show me this type of kindness." 
Gun-Ho deleted the text message right away.
"For a bookkeeping position, Excel is a must. I applied for the position without knowing it… Of course, those people at the interviewing site laughed at me."
Gun-Ho registered for an Office Automation class at the vocational school in Uijeongbu City.  He wanted to acquire a certificate for Word Processor and Excel. He knew how to use Word Processor, so he wanted to get the certificate this time.
"Once I get more certificates, my resume will look good with two to three additional lines."
Gun-Ho received hands-on training on office computer skills after work at the vocational school, rubbing his sleepy eyes. Excel seemed interesting after Gun-Ho tried a few tables, but creating complex ones was still confusing.
"Do not doze off and pay attention here." The instructor explained pointing Excel tables on a screen. "Look. You get the total amount automatically, right? Once you put the function, you get the average as well."
The instructor looked really smart. Gun-Ho almost got the illusion that the instructor knew everything in the world. The instructor was a woman younger than Gun-Ho.
"These days, women seem smarter than men. I don't know much. I came this far because Master Park from the philosophy hall and Cheongdam Town Chairman Lee put this idea in my head, but I am still not sure if I am meant to do this."
"Okay, let's get the total average. Did you all get 76?"
All students except Gun-Ho got the right answer, 76; Gun-Ho got 48.
"You didn't put the right function. Please do as I explained."
Every time this sort of things happened, Gun-Ho felt depressed and wondered if he had to continue doing this.
"Am I doing all this for nothing?"
 
The cost of the commute to the vocational school wasn't small.
"The classes are free since they are sponsored by the government, but I have to commute a distance of over 40 kilometers. Damn. It's a lot."
To make things worse, Gun-Ho couldn't find a parking spot around the vocational school today; so he parked in a residential area and hit the fence of a house. As a result, his rear bumper was dented; it looked ugly.
"Fuck! It will cost a lot to repair that bumper."
Time cures all things. After a few months, Gun-Ho got the certificate for Word Processor and Excel.  He called Jong-Suk.
"Jong-Suk?"
"Hey, bro. What's up?"
"Did you have a chance to use your welder certificate?"
"Nah. Holding the certificate is not enough. I need work experience."

It was another smartly dressed man flashing Lina a sympathetic smile. It was Smith. "So, are you excited to spend some time with me?" Smith asked, as he gave his trademark smile.
Lina heaved a sigh of relief, as Smith looked genuinely interested in helping her out.
Lina hesitated a little before answering Smith's question. "Err.. More nervous than excited at the moment, if we're being honest!'
Smith smiled at Lina's answer. He sat near Lina and began to look at the company's software.
Lina could see sincere warmth in his eyes. 'This is not a fake smile, he clearly cares about people', Lina thought and proceeded to share all about the work assigned by Wang.
Smith was being very supportive. "It's alright sweetheart! Just let me know about all the data that Wang needs. I'll get it all out on the screen before you, so you can learn, and next, we can print it on A4 sheets," spoke Smith as he proceeded to work on the software.
Lina shared all that she could remember. "Err.. Mr. Wang had asked me to create an excel sheet. He wants to have the complete details of all the brands that Wang Fashion House owns, along with the sales of each brand in last two years. He had also asked me to rank all the brands, country wise, according to their sale figures," sighed Lina.
Smith was surprised. "That is too much to ask for from a newcomer. Wang should have given you more time for this task. Or maybe, it was not the task that he was focussing on," winked Smith.
"What do you mean?" Lina asked as she carefully noted Smith's changed expressions.
"Maybe, he did not want you to have any casual conversations with any employee of this company. Maybe, he wants to keep you busy all the time. Or maybe, he wants to be the only one to talk to you," laughed Smith.
Lina blushed a little. "Why would Mr. Wang want this to happen?" She asked.
"I think Wang is being too protective of you. He is trying to keep you away from all the negativities and conspiracies of the corporate sector. I have been observing a lot many changes in him since the day you joined the company," shared Smith, and then decided to get back to the main issue. "Anyways, let's start working on the assignment," Smith refocussed his attention on the excel sheet.
Smith proceeded to explain things to Lina. Lina felt extremely uncomfortable. She was unable to understand anything. She wanted to leave the room and hide somewhere. 'What if he comes to know that I'm unable to grasp all this? Oh ground! swallow me up now!'  Lina prayed. "Err.. Mr. Smith, excuse me for a few minutes. I need to go to the washroom," requested Lina.
"No problem, Lina. By the time you come back, I'll have printed all the data on the sheets," Smith clearly understood Lina's helplessness.
Lina walked out of the office and hurriedly walked towards the washroom. As she pushed the door open to the ladies toilets the overwhelming smell of lemon air freshener hit her.
The washroom's decor was old fashioned for a building of an amazing grandeur, which always surprised Lina. The pastel pink walls and paintings of secret gardens and dainty flowers were comforting for her. That mixed with the lemon smell reminded her of being in her grandma's bedroom, sleeping on her lap. Lina's Grandma loves anything old country garden style.
Lina thought of all the changes that the fate had brought in her life in past few days. She did not like all the stress that she had been handling, but could do nothing to change it.
Thinking of her grandma, her siblings, her childhood fun and her friends cheered her up a little, until she got to the floor length mirror, of the washroom, and saw the state she was in – injured foot, tense face, lack of confidence and a state of depression.
Lina had tried out a new hair serum this morning that was meant to calm her super curly hair and give her soft sleek hair for up to seven days, once she had applied it. Aunt Ning had said that the serum would work flawlessly. Lina thought that it was working but seeing the birds nest hair now, she knew that this was yet another failed hair product. She would have to talk to Ning regarding this.
The whites of her eyes had red tinges where she had been fighting the tears back and her long lashes had scattered flakes of mascara down her cheeks. She looked a little like she had been caught in a rain storm then shaken dry.
The injured foot had developed a bump on it, and it was about the size of an egg.  Lina had taken a painkiller and she knew that as soon as the effect of medicine would wear off, she will be in a whole lot of pain. But for now, she just needed to compose herself.
After longer than what was strictly needed in the washroom, Lina was ready to go back out and face the world.

The words only registered after a few seconds. "No-No brain? Isn't that an important organ?"
The First Born did not say a word. Instead, Hao Ren was confused, and a jumble of thoughts came to his head. He thought there was an attack. But it was instead many unexplained memories and knowledge coming to his mind. The First Born on this planet had no brain because the brain had evolved into another form ten thousand years ago!

To accommodate the complex virtual world, and to achieve better compatibility with the programming language of the people of Zorm, the First Born had performed a planned transformation of its body. It broke down its brains into numerous nerve clusters that spread evenly throughout the body. These other nerve clusters could grow more nerve tentacles, which were the critical organs connected to the machines. Dividing the brains into several small parts had another advantage: Backup! Even if disaster struck two-thirds of the planet, the remaining one-third of the nerve clusters could still maintain the integrity of the virtual world.
The First Born had essentially divided its brains and spread them all over its body. There were more than a million 'mini brains' scattered on every inch of the planet, and most of them were surrounded by magma and sea of ​​fire; they were dying en masse.

"I will outrun it," Hao Ren arced the corner of his mouth slightly as he looked up at the shadow of the First Born's soul. "Now I have to return to the real world to get things prepared, but I will keep this communication link open. Do you know Nolan? The communication is routed through her. We have thirty hours, so—"
"I will do my best," a voice sounded in Hao Ren's mind. "Mother always tells us to see the mission through."
Again, it was Mother said so.
Hao Ren smiled and disconnected from the amazing direct link. Once again, the emotionless face of Nolan appeared in front of his eyes. The massive data overload had overwhelmed her mind. She could only vaguely make sense of what was happening right now without giving any meaningful reaction. Hao Ren knew it was not the time to talk nor explain. He held Nolan to sit down in a safe place and said, "I have to go now. Just hang on here."
Nolan looked at him, finally nodded slightly.
As soon as Hao Ren came back out to the real world, Vivian and Lily scrambled to ask about the situation. Hao Ren motioned to them. "Leave all the autonomous robots here to keep the data link online. We need to go back on-board the spaceship."
The autonomous robots gathered around the ganglion of the First Born, took over the position of Hao Ren and placed their mechanical arms on it.
A moment later, they were back in the flight deck of the Petrachelys. Hao Ren quickly came to the console. "MDT, what is the situation?" he asked.
"The drone clusters are moving closer towards here and have switched to the high-speed communication mode. The drones have limited bandwidth, so it's necessary to design a dedicated link to ensure the transmission is successful. We will only know the exact bandwidth needed once the data is retrieved. The CARS' capacity should be sufficient. But CARS lacks a virtual reality program; we need to build a virtual world in the central computer on CARS to accommodate all the souls of Zorm people when the transfer is complete."
"What about the communication link with the First Born?"
"Repositioning is completed. Now we rely on the autonomous robots to keep the link open," the MDT said. It brought up the hologram on the console, a faint glow and a few lines of text emerged; it was the First Born saying hi.

Short announcement, sorry but I'll be taking anywhere from two or three days to continue uploading chapters. Don't worry I haven't re-shattered my wrists or caused any more bodily harm. The problem this time is... well, my computer actually. 

I kind of just recently realized that 7 Years have past since my PC was purchased and have taken it over to get upgraded; it literally hasn't changed at all for over half a decade. In short, I've given the PC over to a buddy of mine to get fixed as it suddenly shut down with a blue screen of death. So while he's recovering my data and changing the parts of my computer — It'll essentially boil down to building an entirely new computer from scratch... — I'll just have to twiddle my thumbs and write something else in wait. 

Sadly, I my "old-fashioned" self kept all my "raw" chapters in word/excel doc, so EVERYTHING from my outline to my charts, plans, and already written chapters have been locked away. Hopefully that will only be temporarily. 

So... Uh, yeah. I'll be waiting for my new and shiny PC to be delivered and write some fanfiction or something. For those of you on Webnovel, go support some other novel while mine is in this "forced hiatus" period~
