What if there's a season 2 of Neon Evangelion? What would it be like?

For those who did not watch Evangelion will not have a problem understanding this story.(Even me is not still watching it whole) Just type in youtube what is the story of Evangelion and you will grasp what is the content in here. And if you are not into bad ending. I advise you do not watch it, so you will not devastate by the fact that happened without explanation or whatsoever. The first ending is okay for me, but for the second or third, they can go to hell.

But if you still watched it, stop in the episode where Shinji and Koworu(The Fifth Child) and continue on this part and you will love what this ending is all about. But if you're a Fan of Rei, this will be a bit sad but in a good way, because she knew now how to become a human, act human, and feel like a human.

Had it been any other situation, could Lin Zhi have instantly decapitated the middle-class Devil? 

Lin Zhi knew very well just what exactly allowed him to kill off the Devil. The external force that augmented Lin Zhi's strength was the Arbiter's "outstanding combat ability that can deal with the unexpected." If it was a frontal onslaught that one can see from far away, then the Arbiter's ability to deal with the 'unexpected' would not have activated.

Lin Zhi could've died right there and then! 

When they got ambushed, Lin Zhi had immediately thought about fleeing. What was the point of fighting against a squadron of people who were roughly anywhere from 50%-200% stronger than you were? His decision to flee was only cemented by the telepathic voice that commanded him to retreat.

However, at the same time, he remembered that he had to become a 'Badass Nobody!' So Lin Zhi decided to pull off the Cobra Turn, a variation of Pugachev's Turn. The Cobra Turn was an advance aerobatic maneuver that he had watched on Voutube back on his original planet! 

Imagine two aircraft are flying parallel to each other in the same direction, with one pursuing the other. Could the aircraft being pursued instantly turn around and fire back? 

No! 

Due to the existence of momentum, it would take both time and energy to stop immediately—much less turn around! It's the same as slamming the brakes on a racecar going full speed or trying to turn 180 degrees while going full speed, you'll immediately be subjected to force great enough that'll send you flying out of the car! 

So what was the best way to handle such a situation? One can dive downwards and hopefully try to escape, but in the end, they're still being pursued.

One can only fight back in such a situation! Missiles (and by proxy, magic) can't shoot backward, the only way they would be able to attack back is to be behind them! 

How can you go behind someone who's already behind you?

You slow down and let them go past you! But momentum exists, if you try to slow down when you're flying 300 miles per hour, you'll have to fight inertia while also being a sitting duck during the entire process.

'You'll have to do it quickly.' That was the thought that went through Lin Zhi's mind. He had to do it in less than 2 seconds or else he'd be dead.

The quickest way is to exploit nature. Make as much surface area as possible face towards the winds pushing against you! The best way to do so is to change one's orientation from a " — " to " | ", this way one uses nature as a force to slow them down! 

Normally one would stop at 90 degrees angle, facing towards the sun, but they have to continue until they reach 120 degrees in the form of a " \ " so that you can abuse nature even more! 

The wind, or air resistance, would now push the bottom of the aircraft rather than the top! Meaning that the winds would push them back into their original orientation of a " — "!

By the time this happens, the pursuer who is still locked in full speed has now surpassed you!

The hunter becomes the hunted!

Of course, the wings of the three factions are not like fighter jets! 

They have more flexibility which means that anything that can be adjusted would immediately be adjusted. Lin Zhi had realized that during his 'fleeing' his wings had started to become even more flexible!

This was the Marauder's dexterous trait expanding into the wings as well! 

Otherwise, why else would he have risked it?

Why did the upgrade of the Justiciar class give so much while the upgrade of the Marauder class gives so 'little'? That was the first thought that immediately came to mind.

'The Justiciar class seeks to give me the 'whole array' of the Justice system! From Arbiter to Sheriff, to Interrogator, to...' He stopped, trying to think of what comes after. 'Judge?'

But what comes after Judge? The equivalent of the Supreme Court? 'No, that'd just be redundant...'

'If the Justiciar class is a jack-of-all-trades that encapsulates the Justice system, then the Marauder class appears to be a 'master-of-one' centered on the concept of stealing! However, what does Cryptologist provide then?'

[Description: Abbreviated as the A. T. Field, it is a nearly impenetrable force-field barrier that Angels and Evangelions can generate. Conventional weapons are effectively useless in penetrating an A.T. Field. There are numerous ways of destroying the A.T. Field, examples include overwhelming the Host with raw strength or projecting another A.T. Field against the Host. At higher levels, the Host can use the A.T. Field for more than just defense purposes, as the A.T. Field can be reconstructed into laser-like beam blasts or even the reconstruction of one's limbs.]

Lin Zhi gasped at the name of the next level. 'Level 3 is a massive qualitative change for the Absolute Terror Field!'

This is the initial stage towards possessing an A.T. Field equivalent to that of an actual Angel! Not that Angels of the DxD world but the Angels of the Evangelion world! Those Angels could survive nukes being thrown at them!

'Wait.' He stopped, his newfound supernatural sense told him something was off!

'I'm being watched!' Due to the Sheriff's abilities, Lin Zhi immediately knew that someone was watching him! It wasn't the 'audience' of the Angels or the 8 middle-class Devils converging upon him!

Previously due to the supposed leader's command to leave Lin Zhi for himself, the other middle-class Devils scattered about to inflict as much damage as possible. Perhaps this was a blessing in disguise as now Lin Zhi has some breathing space.

There were 12 seconds left before they reached Lin Zhi, reinforcement would approximately arrive in 8 seconds if the telepathy was to be believed...

With the mind of a Sheriff, Lin Zhi immediately began to backtrack the events. A moment later, he realized what was out of place! 

'To maintain the invisibility for so long without the stronger Angels realizing it means that the one casting it must be strong or specialized in invisibility! However, no sides would send forces that strong yet, this is supported by the System's introduction before my transference. That meant that it must be someone who specializes in invisibility. Taking another step back, why exactly did they send this squadron straight into us? Did they intend to send these middle-class Devils straight into their death like a one-time-use item? They have used this tactic before as the rest only focuses on using spells that cover a wide area... There's no way they would willingly through them away, which means that they must have an escape plan! The caster has to be hiding somewhere so that when the rest is done, they can escape together!'

With a Sheriff's keen intuition, his head snapped towards a particular direction 100 meters away from him. 'There!' 

Energy flowed throughout his body, holy light started converging upon his right hand as it shaped itself into the shape of a double-ended spear.

Reminiscent to that of a Spartan, Lin Zhi gritted his teeth in pain as his muscles forcibly tightened before shooting the spear out as if it was an arrow!

Vsssh! 

His pupils constricted as the spear missed!

Blood started eerily dripping from 'nowhere' as a voice cried out in pain. "Shit!"

The appearance of a Devil with purple leather gear, the same color as the underworld sky, started to 'color' itself into existence as he held his right leg in pain. Glaring furiously at the Angel who somehow managed to force him out of hiding!

Lin Zhi, whose lips had previously turned down in disappointment slowly started to curve upwards, forming a smug grin!

He had used the Swindler's ability of illusion to misdirect the invisible Devil into staying in place as Lin Zhi had planned for the fake spear to miss from the very beginning! Why would anyone dodge an attack that was going to miss to begin with? The real one shot towards the actual location with his newfound Swindler ability to cast illusions that blended with the environment!

Content with the injury he had caused, Lin Zhi flew towards the reinforcement as they'll hopefully do the rest. There was no need to finish off the Devil—since Lin Zhi couldn't even kill him off anyway. Even with his new abilities, there was no way he would be able to surmount the gap that existed between the two until maybe level 3.

With the increased speed from the level up, Lin Zhi was roughly 30% lower than the middle-class Devils converging upon him. Three of them separated Lin Zhi from the incoming reinforcements while the rest started pursuing him from behind. Lin Zhi knew that they wanted to kill him for revenge. Since his appearance was no different compared to the rest of the Angels, as long as he reached them then they can blend back into the masses! 

'My A.T. Field allows me to survive two low-tier spells, compared to the Devil's torrent of spells that they can unleash, it's the equivalent of blocking 2 pellets from a shotgun round! I require at least 10 more of these middle-class Devils for the next level... Unless forced to, I don't want to use the pill...'

Due to the qualitative upgrade of each level, the gains from leveling from 2 - >5 is less than a fraction of 5 -> 6! Imagine if he had used the pill from 7 -> 10?!

You are, however, allowed basic gestures such as pointing, nodding, and the like. Do not try to find a loophole or else you will be punished as per severity.]

"So I'm going to the past and whatever I do will affect the present? Does this mean I can even get missions for One Punch Man and even My Hero Academia?"

Ela pediu que ele fizesse um mundo em que ela pudesse ser feliz, ele fez esse mundo, mas depois, ela desapareceu na frente dele, como óleo na água, ela se desmanchou e dispersou-se.
Não importou o número de vezes que ele tentou juntá-la, só piorava ainda mais.
Depois surgiu o seu melhor amigo, ele estava sorrindo.
Lian- Está tudo bem, você já pode descansar, desculpe meu irmão, eu não pude ajudá-lo durante todos esses anos, agora eu... Devo deixá-lo ir, você já fez o bastante, eu queria poder ficar mais tempo com você, como quando éramos crianças, mas eu acho que não poderei mais ver você, eu te amo, descanse meu irmão.

"Eu nunca vi esse anjo, em nenhuma sequência da obra existiu um assim... O que isso pode fazer?"
Nong- Já realizaram um ataque preventivo? Eu recomendo verificar se o alvo é hostil agora que Lilith está meio morta.
Ritsuko- Ainda não tentamos, estávamos finalizando os reparos e ajustes do Wunder. Como está se sentindo?
Nong- Horrível, a última vez que me senti assim foi quando fui espancado no ensino fundamental, não... Talvez a escala esteja mais para a missão em que segurei um anjo com os braços, se não me falha a memória a Unidade 01 teve os braços estraçalhado daquela vez.

Xiao Nong estava de mau humor, aquele sonho não foi o tipo de despedida calorosa que ele queria ter. "Se apresem porque eu quero ver o show de luzes. Sistema, é possível analisar o alvo com o Simulador de Batalha?"
"*Negativo, a distancia não permite ao sistema a coleta de dados."
Misato- Vamos começar, Shinji Ikari irá atuar como analista secundário, use a cadeira seis no grupo de Maya.
Nong- Entendido.
A blindagem da ponte foi acoplada ao módulo de controle.
Isso lembrou Xiao Nong da forma que um plug de entrada travava no Evangelion.

Xiao Nong entrou trazendo o Laptop que havia sido modificado e estava rodando o sistema operacional base que ele havia feito, o tamanho total do sistema não passava de 20 megabytes, os maiores arquivos eram os drivers necessários para as operações chave, enquanto o resto eram o código escrito em C++.
Xiao Nong foi até o computador e abriu o gabinete.
Desconectando o cabo de alimentação ele pôs os dedos nos terminais de energia.
Kouki- Isso é sensível! O que pensa que está fazendo?!
Ignorando o cara que estava gritando com ele Nong reconectou os cabos e ligou o computador.
Ligado.
Nong- As vezes tudo que se é necessário é um aterramento, pode acontecer em qualquer dispositivo eletrônico.
Xiao Nong encarou Maya face a face. Ele deu-lhe uma reverência militar.
Nong- Shinji Ikari se apresentando para o serviço! Eu fui designado como analista, quais as ordens?
Maya retornou à reverência.
Maya- Cuide da análise direta dos dados e envie para mim.

Tinha uma forma humanoide com duas placas dorsais na posição da clavícula que cresciam para cima, duas pernas curtas e quatro braços, dois dos braços estavam ajudando no equilíbrio do corpo do anjo, o tamanho era de duas a três vezes o tamanho de um Evangelion, possuía seis olhos verdes com pupilas em forma de cruz e uma boca com os caninos expostos.
Os braços eram longos e largos, em cada um haviam três dedos, eles tinham placas ósseas na regiam do antebraço que pareciam protetores de cotovelo.
Nong- O que será que você pode me mostrar?
Maya- A permissão foi concedida.
Em um dos navios de guerra da tropa naval do Wunder a escotilha de mísseis de um cruzador pesado se abriu revelando um conjunto de lançadores de mísseis que estava equipado com mísseis intercontinentais que utilizavam ogivas termobáricas.
As bombas termobáricas consomem todo o ar circundante ao redor do epicentro da explosão, inflamando-o e podendo atingir temperaturas nas faixas dos 3000° Celsius.
Algo assim faria um ser humano evaporar facilmente.
A mira foi travada no anjo.

Antes de entrar em contato com o gigantesco corpo da criatura uma membrana de cor dourada se expande e como um escudo barra a bomba.
BOOM!
A explosão resultante da colisão devora todo o oxigênio circundante criando uma nuvem de fogo que devora o anjo.
As placas ósseas dos antebraços mudam levemente de cor para um carmesim sangrento.
Os olhos do anjo piscam em vermelho como um flash.
BOOM!
Todo o entorno do anjo é arrasado por uma onda de choque que fez toda a terra tremer em um raio de três quilômetros.
A criatura estava intacta em meio ao inferno vermelho.
Nong- Incrível.
"Ele absorveu a energia resultante da explosão da bomba e expulsou-a de uma vez só, o campo AT desse cara não é só para defesa, ele é para contra ataque."
Nong- O campo AT é gerado em formas de camadas, cada camada é fraca e pode ser destruída facilmente, porém a energia resultante disso é armazenada para uso posterior, enquanto em estado de espera o anjo utiliza da energia absorvida para lançar um contra-ataque.
Tomando um pouco de ar ele continuou.
Nong- Uma carga de explosivos convencionais de potência de 180 toneladas de TNT pôde ser aproveitada pelo alvo para criar uma onda de choque que causaria danos às blindagens convencionais dos Evas à uma distância de dois quilômetros...
Maya- Repassando os dados para a Unidade 08.
Mari- Olha, você fez melhor que o meu computador de bordo. Quer ser meu príncipe?
O rádio de Mari foi transmitido pelo auto falante aos ouvidos de Nong.
Nong- Concentre-se na luta, se você não puder se afastar antes da liberação da onda de choque eu acho que você vai virar panqueca.
Mari- Não tem problema, não é vossa alteza?
Asuka- Vamos deixar isso para a capitã, não é Misato?
Os canhões do Wunder foram todos apontados para o anjo, coletando a energia do motor principal uma luz roxa brilhava de dentro dos canos.
Nong- NÃO FAÇAM ISSO!
Antes de ouvirem o aviso de Xiao Nong os canhões dispararam toda a munição de alta densidade energética.

Dezenas de camadas do campo AT do anjo forma desdobradas de uma só vez.

Incessantemente os tiros atingiram o escudo dourado que protegia o anjo, as camadas se estilhaçavam como vidro e cada impacto explodia em uma nuvem roxa de energia que trovoava como o cumulo nimbo de tempestades.

A Unidade 08-Beta dispunha das mesmas asas, porém estava equipada com um rifle de precisão eletromagnético que por si só poderia perfurar os campos ATs mais fracos, desde que usasse uma munição dura o suficiente, como aço aeroespacial ou as cerâmicas usadas em brocas para escavações em grandes profundidades.
Se desprendendo da câmara de transporte do Wunder a Unidade 02-Ganma desceu em um ângulo inclinado com o auxílio do Twin Wings AT-F Mk.1 enquanto ajustava o sistema de mira.
Asuka- Rosinha, onde está o núcleo?
Midori- É problemático achá-lo, o anjo está emitindo algo que atrapalha a análise.
Nong- Shikinami, atinja os ombros e joelhos.

A munição especial foi posta no cilindro do rifle, os oito olhos da Unidade 08 garantiam uma taxa de precisão muito superior à de qualquer outro modelo de Evangelion mesmo sem usar um sistema de mira externa.
O anjo ameaçado pelos disparos da Unidade 02-Ganma usou os pois braços do torso para se impulsionar para frente enquanto os dois braços superiores iam em direção a cabeça do Eva 02 a fim de esmaga-la.

Sendo perseguido pelo anjo o Eva 02 deu várias cambalhotas para trás e usou do sistema de propulsão para se esquivar antes que o anjo o derrubasse com os dois braços superiores que iam direto para a cabeça.
A bala que Mari disparou cravou-se no corpo do anjo fazendo  o campo AT implodir e causando uma mudança drástica na aparência do anjo, as placas ósseas brilharam com um carmesim sangrento de uma  só vez e os olhos piscaram com uma luz roxa antes que todo o entrono fosse consumido em uma grande explosão que trouxe ondas de choque a serem sentidas em todos os que estavam no Wunder.
Asuka- ARGH!
Antes que o campo AT da Unidade 02-Ganma fosse dilacerado pelo contato direto da explosão ela pôde acionar o modo de fuga da Twin Wings AT-F Mk.1 e chegou à borda limite da área da explosão.
Nong- Alguma coisa está errada...
Não houve a explosão em forma de cruz.
Asuka- Ainda está vivo?!
O anjo teve grande parte da carne queimada, as placas dorsais estavam vibrando e os seis olhos estavam vermelhos, um halo flutuava acima da cabeça do anjo enquanto este pairava a 30 metros do solo.
Ele virou a cabeça para o Eva 08-Beta e chocou os braços para a frente criando e comprimindo dezenas de camadas do campo AT até que atingiu uma cor completamente amarela e sólida.

O campo foi comprimido e então atirado na Unidade 08-Beta com velocidade insana, somente a poucos metros do corpo do Eva se desviou-se e então explodiu em uma bola de luz gigantesca ao horizonte atingindo o Wunder e derrubando as camadas do campo AT defensivo da nave e avariando a blindagem do Wunder no processo.
Nong- Todos os dados coletados, já podemos prosseguir para um ataque fatal, capitã Katsuragi é recomendável o uso da munição penetrante de alta densidade, siga o mesmo tempo chave que a última vez, Shikinami irá atuar como suporte e ajudar na fuga de Makinami, Makinami será a isca e atrairá a atenção do alvo, os canhões do Wunder irão destruir o núcleo do anjo. O Eva 08 pôs novamente a munição Anti-AT e disparou consecutivamente, a cada disparo explosões ocorreram que fizeram os tripulantes do Wunder balançar, o sistema antigravitacional sofria de interferências e não havia tempo para considerar isso.
Em meio a explosão de energia o anjo saiu com olhos vermelhos cheios de fúria e a boca com fileiras de dentes gigantescos que desejavam despedaçar a Unidade 08-Beta.
Misato- Agora!

Pedaços de carne voaram do corpo do anjo que estava sendo despedaçado pelos disparos de alta energia, vários pulsos em forma de onda explodiam e implodiam com o anjo no centro.
Os olhos piscaram com uma luz azul assim que a Unidade 02-Ganma se aproximou para resgatar a Unidade 08-Beta, vários feixes de luz saíram dos olhos e um deles cortou a prótese instalada no ombro esquerdo do Eva.
Asuka gritou de dor, mas suportou e agarrou a outra unidade e ativou o modo de fuga simultaneamente com Mari e por pouco escaparam de serem cortadas em pedaços pelos feixes que saiam dos seis olhos do anjo.

Perdendo as pernas, asas e um braço o anjo teve a maior parte do corpo vaporizada pelos disparos do Wunder, restava o núcleo vermelho e brilhante que se mantinha agarrado ao corpo por tendões e ossos.
Os disparos não falharam em pontaria, atingindo o núcleo do anjo o resto do corpo entrou em colapso e uma gigantesca explosão em forma de cruz ocorreu.
O solo estava completamente vitrificado por conta da alta temperatura, a cor do vidro variava do vermelho vivo a um sangrento escuro.
Xiao Nong afastou a cadeira da bancada e respirou fortemente.
Nong- Esse foi bem difícil.
Xiao Nong olhou para o computador, "É esse tipo de vida que eles têm que ter? Isso é estressante demais." Os rostos de toda a equipe estavam pálidos, o stress mental que eles sofreram dessa vez os deixou completamente esgotados.

"Hey don't use them recklessly! These explosive ammunition is still limited!" Yan spoke out on the mike. Watching more infernos blasting into the sky, all made by Victor. Blasting away concrete and putting several of his colleagues to rest.

Victor was having too much fun, though he wondered whether the bazookas were really overkill. He removes the rocket propellant as it crashed onto the ground. He moves the legs with force as the machine's legs tilts upwards to a diagonal position. It's wings were now in a V formation. He quickly checked his system as he spots the large dark tower in the dark sky. He relaxed, all he had to do was too check where it was...

He swallowed his thoughts as a the place suddenly was filled with flying crimson bricks. He quickly transformed again, the bricks knocking his robot out of balance as he sent out his funnels, activating the system. He freaks out, watching Yan and the others still far behind. Trembling in his cockpit. It looked even more ferocious than the Evangelion he faced off. He looks up to see the machine, now nearly half the height of the tower.

Meanwhile in the tower

"What the f..." Shane looked at the remains of Atsuki in the chamber when a huge rock lurches them forward. 

"What was that?!?!" Sylvie looked behind. The tower was shaking beneath their feet. Lighting for the place is now completely cut off as Max turned on his flashlight and rush down the steps, Derek right behind him as they checked the window downstairs. This time seeing parts of a platform instead nothing but slabs of concrete and what looked like a dark silhouette earlier.

"Damm it I hate myself so much now!" Max shook his head in disbelief, unable to believe that he and his group completely missed this secret. Especially Shane who was looking right by the window as they head upstairs. The troops were nowhere to be found. Most likely still trying to cover basement. 

"Victor Garnier! You are dead!" The robotic voice boomed into the atmosphere as it made a metallic shriek. Victor poised his bazookas at him. He only have five shots each. Probably enough to deal damage to the robot. But he gulped, uncertain of his success as he finally makes out the robot as a modified Mazinger Zero, a robot from an ancient manga that Ambar read based off talk from his colleagues back in their conflict with Sector B. The robot had the same paint scheme as the one with the comics. Except the metal 'helmet' now had metal teeth. It's amber eyes glowed like a greeting from the fires down below. Instead of the usual backpack that it had, it now had wings resembling that of a bird. Each feather made to look like a dagger. Somewhat resembling the backpack Atsuki wore. The large metal plates in its chest seemed just aesthetic as it thrusted itself into the air, looking down at Victor's robot, now ten times smaller than it.

"You tried to kill me mercilessly last time with a point black shot from your stupid Shotgun. But now with this new body... You. Now. Shall. Face. Your. Consequences!" Victor became wide eyed, coming to his realization off who was controlling the mech as she launched all her 'feathers'. Each the size of a bus, glowing green as they destroyed all of his funnels. He swerved to avoid it, flying away from the swarm. Eddy and Yan, who had just arrived with their troops, quickly tried to intercept the large being using funnels and guns to damage her 'feathers', But it was too late. She was engrossed in killing him. He blows up several of the daggers, falling to the ground and collapsing several low rise apartments as the swarm followed him like missiles locked onto him. Flying around and away from the site and towards Sector C, where their jets and robots along with the Americans in their medieval looking robots. All closing in. He quickly ditches a bazooka, blowing up several 'feathers' into a fireball as he charges at it from behind, firing at her head. He spots the 'large monster' turning around, preparing to grab him with all of her might.

But as he toggle through the controls, a loud siren screeched in the cockpit, nearly bursting his ears as he struggled to move the thrusters.

"Why is it not mov-!"

"Do you think I'm not looking? She grabs the robot, crushing it's limbs and rupturing the cockpit in the process. Victor winced, all the monitors flashed red, screeching as bright electricity shocks Victor, nearly fainting. She swirls around the robot like a rag doll to the British force's disgust who had just arrived in their similar looking Vix 3Ns and ridiculous Jekus. Watching him get tossed down towards a junction. Her 'feathers' swarming the building quickly cuts off the robots limbs midair and repeatedly tried to pierce through the cockpit. The cockpit was ruptured so badly he could not shed his armor to escape the horde. Victor screamed in fear and pain as the monitors all caved in towards him, pushing him down onto the road with a loud thud.

"Quickly! She must be controlling this machine!" Maximilian yells as Shane takes a hammer from a metal trolley nearby. The place may had been filled with lots of concrete but it wasn't necessarily soundproof, especially with the doors opened. She quickly smashes the glass of the chamber, green fluids flowing out, staining her jeans and jacket as a loud thud distracts her. She turns around to see Hanson knocked up against the wall as a large man looked at her with ferocity down the dark corridor. Ken.

"She will have her revenge!" He launches forward as Max stopped him in his tracks, "I'll get him! Unplug the damm thing now!" He thrusts himself from the concrete floor, creating a large crater as he launched himself to push Ken down the corridor with his gun. Hanson, who is awake and dazed by the sudden attack is greeted with lots of manly muscles.

"Goddammit Max!!!" His voice echoed through the corridors. Shane turns back around to her task. Leroy and Sylvie rushes up to her to help, trying to figure out the right wires to unplug when Shane looked on dazed at the other end off the room. Many mini machines she recognized was made by Ambar all heading towards them. This time all tricked out with Gatling guns as they angled their weapons at the trio.

Leroy's machine quickly jumped in to block the shots, some ricocheting off and hitting the glass chambers in the room as Sylvie scrambled to use the plants she sensed were nearby, its stems all growing out from the large concrete slabs to form a large wall. 

Baku, Derek and Shao Lin quickly rushed in to halt the infinite amount of invaders. Shao Lin using the leaking fluid, shocking the machines while Baku melted them to liquid metal and Derek amazed Baku as he accurately shot out its camera, confusing the machines as they got stuck. They made good time as more came out from the dark corridor they came in.

"This one!" Leroy yelled as Shane quickly pulled out the wire. From the sounds outside, Sylvie hears the echos of loud crunching of metal and a metallic crackle. Then it stopped.

Eddy and Yan looked gazed. It's amber light fading as it lowered itself, slumped against the building. It's 'feathers' all returning back to its backpack, "It is over..." Eddy looked on and smiled. His mike filled with cheers from his troops as he rested his eyes. But a loud cheer turns into loud gasps and fear. He opens his eyes to see the mech rise up again, its eyes turning bloodshot red while it's 'feathers' rise again. Around the mech, he sees humanoid machines similar to theirs launching out of their spots. Meant to defend the building. 

He sighed. They working as intended. Except now they all had been defaced, featuring people's faces.

"Shit." 

The machine launched it's fists, now hurling at him with it's feathers flying in all directions. Crashing down and slicing jets and robots in their way.

Everyone swerved to avoid the flying metal. Spraying the machines and the daggers. Their humanoid machines all mauling their counterparts with their sharp claws as they faced off. But every one lost, more just came to kill them. It was hopeless. American and British forces quickly head towards the building but the 'feathers' blocked any chance of entry.

Yan sighed, it was going to be down to the troops via the subway now. Suddenly a voice speaks out from the mike, "Get out of the way! The elite air squadron will take over things here!" Yan looks at his radar. A single dot with codes recognized as from Sector B. The voice also sounded familiar.

"Harold?" He looks up using the mono eye camera to see seven weird looking 'jets' cutting through the air at speed. All of them of ruby red with parts Yan could identify as limbs. The front of the machines were sleek, lacking a cockpit window. All equipped with a heated saber at the front shaped around the machine all the way towards its wings. The machine was going so fast, he doubt that they even need to superheat the sharp tip as they head straight at the machine.

What happens when words become sentient and self evolving?

Their beat-up coupe entered a mountain tunnel, and then then turned right *into* the mountain, into a dead end passage. Red emergency lights illuminated the area, and Shinji tried to look for a door now that they found a parking spot.

A deep mechanical whine sounded, and then the place began to sink into the ground. It was no parking spot. The whole thing was an elevator.

The elevator didn't descend straight down, but sideways. Layers upon layers of metal and machinery passed them by, and not a hint of natural rock or soil anywhere. Then the dim red light suddenly broke into natural sunlight, and the boy winced in pain at the sudden brightness.

NERV was inside a massive, man-made semi-spherical hollow underground. Shinji couldn't help to gasp, impressed, as the elevator bringing them down showed the dome lit from above by rays of reflected sunlight. It was huge. He could see buildings hanging off the roof, like the stalactites of a cave. Though it was an enclosed space, it felt even larger than the valley above. The ground, he could see, was lush, green, and forested. There was even a lake! 

"Whoa! A geofront! A real geofront!"

"That's right!" Misato replied happily, "This is NERV's secret base! Our fortress and foundation for rebuilding the human race!"

A small warship, a missile-carrying Destroyer, floated on that lake. He wondered: How the heck did they manage that?

The surface of the geofront lacked any other buildings than an large inverted pyramid that was filled with water, with rising metal pyramid jutting off one of its corners, and a tall thin building nearby that looked like an observation/office tower. 

A ropeway train line carried them from the topmost layer of the geofront's roof down to the geofront surface. Entering NERV itself, the golden pyramid underground was just the tip of an iceberg. Much of it was apparently even deeper than that, behind levels and levels of even more metal and armor plating. Moving walkways conveyed them from one section to the other. Shinji looked around with undisguised awe.

"Let's see…" mumbled Misato as she tried to make sense of the map she was carrying. "If we came in there then we should be coming out …here!" The door opened with a whoosh, and air rushed up from below. It was a walkway over a tall pit. "This is why I hate wearing a skirt around here!" she complained while adjusting at her noticeably more exposed legs. "I wonder where in the heck Ritsuko is…"

It was an awe that shortly turned to frustration as it became clear they were thoroughly lost. They had yet to see anyone else around. Amazing as it may be as a feat of megaconstruction and terraforming, they were like ants lost in a maze and far above .

Mentally, the Space Marine collapsed to his knees. /'It's like campaigning with Leman Russ all over again!/' he blubbered out to the heavens. /'How can you get lost three sectors on foot? How?'/

/'I doubt Leman Russ had thighs that…'/ That thought was interrupted with an internal thwap to the head. He felt a disapproving tendril from his female advisor.

Finally, exasperated, Misato went over to a phone and yet again paged her friend for help.

Meanwhile, deep inside NERV's Command Center, the main screen showed the Angel's slick black flesh, steaming under the heat of an antimatter explosion, begin to twitch and bulge. Gills on its neck flared out, and from underneath its bone-like mask, something began to push out. 

A second avian bone-mask face pushed through, lacerating its own skin and flesh on its way out. The other head quivered, still clearly alive.

The empty hollow in its eye sockets flashed. A cross-shaped spinning pattern of light appeared briefly.

And the viewscreen exploded into brightness.

Thoom.

In another part of the base, over some coolant tanks, the public address system announced "The Chief of Project E at Section 1 of Technical Department, Dr. Akagi Ritsuko, Dr. Akagi Ritsuko. Please contact with Captain Katsuragi Misato at Section 1 of Operation Department immediately. Repeat: Please Dr. Akagi Ritsuko, please contain Captain Katsuragi Misato at Operations Department Section 1, immediately." 

Ploosh. Someone swimming in a deep pool of orange liquid drew close to the ladder and made her way up to the grated metal walkway.

"Unbelievable. Even at this time, she still manages to get lost," she muttered under her breath as she discarded her goggles, and put on the eyeglasses nearby.

The underground levels of the Central Dogma, the name for NERV's HQ, was laid out in a confusing hexagonal pattern.

As she complained into the phone booth, Shinji held the map. It was amazing! It completely failed to make any sense at all! Why did section 3-A lead to 6-F and only then to 3-B? It was like it was purposely made to confuse any invaders (and/or hapless visitors) from gathering information about the facilities!

No, wait, that didn't make sense. I mean, employees were paid by the hour, so wasting their time getting from place to place was just bad practice. They were already on underground level 20. If this was a building, they would already be seventy meters high in the air. The guide map was multiple sheets of dense traceries for each level. He could see that Misato had particularly annotated in red marker the location of bathrooms, and the command center entrance.

That would be great, they could go there, if only they knew where on the maps they actually were right now.

She had them enter yet another elevator, in the hopes of going deeper somehow managing to strike gold location-wise. She yelped as the door opened to reveal someone already waiting there, her face showing all the impatience banked over the years of knowing Misato Katsuragi.

The person was a blonde woman with neck-length hair and mole just . She was wearing a swimsuit with white lab jacket over it. 

Shinji wondered if inappropriate uniform choices was kinda NERV's whole deal.

"Oh, hey! Ritsuko. Good timing!" Misato grinned sheepishly.

"Why are you wasting my time, Captain…?" she said flatly, aggressively entering Misato's personal space with an intense look. "Don't you know we're short on time AND manpower?"

Misato backed away from the force of that glare. "Heheh, sorry…"

Ritsuko Akagi turned to face Shinji, and asked "So, is this the boy?"

"Yes, according to the Marduk Report, he's the Third Child."

NERV's chief scientist saw the young teen quirk his left eyebrow, sardonically Vulcan-like, at being talked about as if he wasn't there. He had, if just briefly, reacted to the words 'marduk' and 'third'. Her lips quirked a bit, noticing the keen attention in his gaze. She recognized that he was making a mental note of those words. 

"Pleased to meet you," she said, a small fake smile crossing her face. This child... was not so simple. 

Shinji smiled back. "'Ello dere." He coughed. He'd been distracted by wondering how a swimsuit and a lab coat found their way together. It even looked damp. "I mean, pleased to meet you too." he said in Japanese and bowed. "But, I don't know your name."

"I think he might even be worse than his father…" Misato said with a grimace.

To this, Ritsuko could only lift her eyebrow in much the same way as he did a few moments ago and experimentally said back in English "Ah, that was impolite of me. My name is Ritsuko Akagi. What's yours?"

"S'aright. M'name's Shinji Ikari, but I think yaz already knew dat. Amma happy to meets ya, Akagi-sensei." He bowed again.

Ritsuko's smile grew a fraction. "That's an… interesting accent you have there. Where did you learn it?"

"Here and dere. Books."

My, what an uncouth boy he could sound like, lacking the daggerlike diction she knew from the older Ikari. 

Misato could actually understand English, having been raised to an multicultural expedition and been to many international postings, but had to say "I didn't understand that at all! Was that even English?"

"Oh, sure." Ritsuko nodded and turned away from the young teen. "Purer English than most I hear around here, since it actually sounds like it comes from England." Granted, the very roughest parts of England, but who really cares? Practically the entire island was under the sea these days; she thought.

Misato and Shinji followed her into the elevator.

The Angel jerkily got back to its feet. Its eye sockets flashed again.

Thoom.

The cross-shaped beam slammed onto the mountainside, pulverizing the missile launcher building that popped up, and then exploded. [SACHIEL] had a ranged attack now. Tank formations were pointless, anything on the ground would just die. The beam might or might not be fast enough to catch jets, but jets lacked the ability to carry anything powerful enough to hurt the creature.

The JSSDF generals, representing UN forces in the area, grit their teeth and looked up to the command tower. 

"Ikari, you are the commander of this operation from now on. We'll observe how you will deal with this," spoke the commander in chief of the UN attached forces.

"Yes sir." replied NERV's Commander.

The general to his left, who looked a fair bit younger, said "Thinking of our available weapons, I have to admit we have no effective measures against the target."

"But are you confident of defeating it?" asked the JSSDF operations commander again.

"NERV exists for that purpose," was the curt response.

"We expect much from you. Do not disappoint us."

Standing behind Gendo Ikari, a tall old man with peaked white hair murmured "The UN Troops can only do so much after all." They watched the giant creature stomp forward, unchallenged in the dying day. "It is able to augment is own abilities."

"It has acquired intelligence," Gendo replied. "The invasion is not so far off."

"What are you going to do now?"

"I'll activate Unit One."

"Unit One...? But, we have no pilot."

"There is no problem. We have a spare." Gendo Ikari stood up. "Fuyutsuki. I shall entrust this to you."

The tactical broadcast system announced with a female voice "Target is on the move! 

A male voice added "Present rate of interception is 7.5%!"

"Target is entering city limits!"

Gendo Ikari made his way over to the personal elevator and left the command center, a section of the deck sinking to the floor. Gendo just nonchalantly vacated his post in the middle of battle.

Kozo Fuyutsuki watched him leave and mused sadly "After so long... they will meet again."

The elevator went back up, and they emerged into a corridor with a moving walkway. The women began to speak again, pointedly ignoring Shinji. He took this time to listen to Ritsuko complaining at Misato and Misato snapping back defensively. 

The Geofront was at battle stations, but something known as Unit-01 was under refrigeration. 

Misato wondered if it would even work - it had never worked before.

Ritsuko mentioned a rather plain pun in the Japanese language (oni, the mythological Japanese monster, and oh- ni - zero nine) about the 1 behind nine zeros about the chances of it working. The chance of it working now was abysmal. And yet still they had to keep it under cryogenic suppression. 

What was it that they made that they were afraid of?

The moving walkway went into a dark room. As soon as he asked why it was so dark, the lights snapped on - blang, blang, blang, blang - revealing a gargantuan purple face. The boy pulled back in shock.

He felt again that strange pressure.

"A giant robot…?" he muttered. He started to leaf through the booklet they gave him, but fumbled his grasp. It fell off into the orange vat of coolant. 

"Hey, be careful!" shouted Misato.

"You won't find it there in the manual anyway," said Ritsuko. 

"No. But the guidebook could have had a lot of useful other info and rules," Misato said mulishly.

His amused look implied /'… that you don't even follow?'/

Misato gave a snort of /'... don't you backsass me boy, you ain't that cute.'/

/'I sense something here,'/ the Farseer whispered. /'A soul that is not a soul. A mind that is not a mind. And rage. Such aimless rage!'/ The complex shook as the Angel [SACHIEL] unleashed its energy attack upon the city. Dust and small debris began to shower from the ceiling.  

She shook her head sadly. /'I have a feeling all the rules just ceased to matter.'/

How strong is it, if it could be felt kilometers deep underground!

"This is your father's work, Shinji," said Misato.

"This...? It's that important?"

"You'd be correct at that…" Ritsuko muttered under her breath. She threw her shoulders back and said confidently "This is humanity's last and best hope, the artificial human weapon, Evangelion!"

Shinji nodded. He turned to her, licked his lips, and then asked "... Then, what is its gender?"

"What?"

"I noticed you said artificial human with much practice. If this was an android or a battle machine, it would be genderless. You would have said HUMANOID. But you were careful to emphasize artificial HUMAN." His eyes, dark and focused, seemed to plunge into her. His tone was all too familiar, peeling away other people's barriers. "The natural guiding characteristic of humanity is its duality, which allows for emotional attachments and beneficial mutation. I suppose it could be neuter, but people have called weapons from tanks to ships as he and she before." 

Anyone else would look at the heavily armored humanoid weapon and go 'This is a giant robot.' But the boy's very being was screaming at him 'this is no goddamn robot, boyo, no regular robot!'

He smiled a bit. "What is his or her name?"

Misato scratched her cheek. "It's a big fighting robot, Shinji. There's no male or female about it. Ritsuko's just being… scientist-y. They tend to get poetic that way."

Miss Misato, that's so imprecise. How anathema to serious science.

Ritsuko could only stare down with horror, as Shinji reminded her too keenly of just whose son he was.

At this silenced point, Gendo Ikari appeared in a blind passageway above the Evangelion. 

A square-faced man with a goatee, wearing orange sunglasses indoors, his sallow eyes set in a perpetual glare. He was wearing a collarless black jacket and black pants, with his hands in his pockets. He stared down at his son, like a child watching ants pass underneath, and holding a magnifying glass. To observe... or to burn? It was still undecided.

"Hey Shinji." He drawled out, his words friendly, his tone and expression completely not. "It's been a while."

Shinji Ikari stared up at him. "Yes, father." he replied with the same faux friendliness. "It has."

Ikari and Ikari stared at each other, motionless, unblinking, for what seemed like minutes etching away. Thoom. They stood in sullen silence even as the world was on the verge of breaking around them.

"What are they doing?" Misato whispered to her friend.

"Oh, no. Not here. Not now…" was all the response Ritsuko could give, her voice breaking. "Not two of them…"

The Angels have come to destroy all mankind. Humanity, though half-dead in a poisoned Earth, managed to create gigantic machine-gods to fight them. And allowed a crazy, crazy boy to pilot one of them. NO ONE was prepared to handle the sheer level of conspiracy-crashing insanity the boy could bring. 

In a time when the whole world is on the verge of extinction, the only one who could find the narrow golden path to survival would become the Master of Mankind. 

Life, love, and giant robot battles! That is a man's romance!

Or; 

Shinji Ikari finds a boxful of insanity and becomes even more unhinged than before. Somehow, this is A Good Thing. As the grim dark future melts into stark bleak present, upon a throne of tropes humanity might find the savior it so requires.

Smiling to himself James kept reading till he no longer heard the soft buzz of the Prodigy System telling him that his proficiency was rising.

He brought his proficiency panel up and discovered a very important thing.

English Proficiency: 20%

Chinese Proficiency: 65%

Spanish Proficiency: 5%

Mathematics Proficiency: 70%

Physics Proficiency: 10%

Biology Proficiency: 15%

Art of Manipulating: 80%

'Why is the Art of Manipulating capped at 80%?' Thought James to himself, he knew that in the manga Lelouch's main power wasn't the Geass, the thing that saved him from countless bad situations was his silver tongue and his intelligence so it couldn't have capped at 80% as this wasn't even a basic skill.

'Let me try this for myself' Thought James as he went to the store's clerk while preparing himself to use for the first time a skill given by the Prodigy System on others.

Putting his most charming smile James told the store's clerk "Good afternoon, I'll take this manga called 'Code Geass'. I heard that today the store has a discounted price for all mangas as they don't sell as much as the other things in the store, such a shame really."

"Really? Nobody told me about a discount today, we have discounts in comics just on Wednesdays as it's a slow day for us. Code Geass is one of the favorites in the store, it's one of my favorites too" The store clerk responded with a polite smile.

'Shit, I think I tried to be 'suave' on my own and I didn't let the skill do its job, let me try this again' Thought James as he felt a little embarrassed but didn't show it in his face.

"My apologies, I may have heard the wrong information. This is really a loss of face for me, how about I treat you with some pastries as soon as you finish your work here and you tell me a little about the next volumes of Code Geass, who knows I may even buy them all" Said James as the words flowed through his mouth.

"It has been some time since someone tried to flirt with me. You know what? I'm in, the name's Stephanie, a pleasure to meet you." The store's clerk that now I know is called Stephanie told me while she had a warm smile on her face.

"Beautiful name for a beautiful lady. I assume you finish working at 7 so I'll be waiting for you at the manga section, we'll go to a nearby cafeteria that I know its opened all night" James told Stephanie as he smiled, picked up his Code Geass manga and went to the manga section again.

'That didn't go as well as I wanted, I need to start trusting the Prodigy System more. I want to know everything this life has to offer and I will not let my doubts hold me down' Thought James as he knew that a part of himself still thinks that he's in a dream.

Shaking his head he brought back the Code Geass manga and put it in its place, picking up another manga called 'One Punch-Man' and started reading it.

What he didn't notice is that a new skill appeared with the other two skills he already had.
