Murakami: So you might not see how they built up to their debut novel. Authors can have 15-20 scrapped novels b4 they debut, and the public don't get to read a single one.

Zenith: That doesn't make the author lose his experience of writing those scrapped novels that's the point I was making.

Murakami: But it also means that it's more like hit and miss.

Reili: True because they don't get the feedback from fans.

Murakami: They get limited feedback from an agent/editor who doesn't want to read their work.

Zenith: Yeah, but it surely is better than nothing.

Murakami: And they're left with a bunch of abstract and vague advice that they have no idea how to implement.

Reili: If they don't enjoy it, the feedback won't be as insightful.

Zenith: They can learn from their mistakes from reading their own works.

Reili: Well…

Zenith: If possible, from platforms.

Murakami: If they knew how to do that they'd fix it and publish it.

Reili: It would make the process easier if someone who enjoys the book to give them better feedback.

Zenith: It's called rewriting from scratch, and it takes a tonne of time if the author feels more interested in some other idea of his, he would do that.

Reili: I suppose so since the author being inspired will bring his book along.

VKBoy: If the ones giving review are professional editors, then they don't necessarily have to have read your work with immersion because their suggestions will still likely cover the basic flaws that amateurish writers usually make.

Reili: Point taken.

Zenith: Yeah.

Murakami: @VKBoy if they spot those errors they'll put down the manuscript after the first page

Reili: Then again, its a little bit like movie critics. They may hate the movie, but fans love it.

Zenith: Yeah.

Murakami: And then send a reply saying, "Don't send in another manuscript until you learn how to write properly."

Zenith: Professionals in the said field prefer not taking risks. Especially in movies, but books, you can keep trying.

VKBoy: Well, if there are errors in the first page itself, that's a whole different thing, lol.

Reili: True.

Murakami: No, but a good editor can tell the writing quality from just the first page even if you've crafted it perfectly, they can just tell that the rest will be shit.

Reili: You have to also take into account of one punch man. The original comic looks terrible, but the redraw made it amazing.

Zenith: That's smartness of the creator.

Reili: So a persons writing and grammar may be terrible, but with a little editing, the story itself could be amazing.

Zenith: You can let the editor do the Shi*t and focus on your story, It works.

Reili: But it would also help if the author re-reads the edit to make sure the essence of their story is still there.

Reili: Same but honestly I just use Grammarly and the read aloud function in word to make sure the chapter makes sense.

Zenith: You can learn about writing, grammar, editing if you truly want. It is just the question of, would you?

Reili: I'm more into thinking up ideas and writing them than editing.

VKBoy: Editing is also writing, mate. Rewriting is where real writing lies.

Zenith: It's a skill in writing a story, but your choice.

Reili: Point taken.

Murakami: You can't be a writer without being an editor.

Zenith: Editing it yourself can help you keep the heart of the story.

Reili: That being said, the more I write, the better my basic grammar became.

Zenith: You will keep the feels right.

Reili: Editing is now part of the process.

Zenith: And not make it just sound or look better, you give what the story wants
And that is a great thing.

Reili: Creative freedom.

Zenith: I want to learn grammar and revise what I learned.

VKBoy: @Zenith Learning grammar will take years, so take it slow and steady. That way, memories stick with you for longer times.

Reili: I do read mtl sometimes since I can't wait for chaps, but then I find myself reading in broken English and must stop.

Murakami: I'd like to correct that statement VKBoy. Learning grammar is easy
learning "usage" is hard.

VKBoy: lol, if you read mtl, your IQ drops. Believe me, this can affect a person's writing skill in the long run.

Reili: Definitely, which is why I stopped.

Author's Notes

I'm sure you've read this a few times in the previous chapters, but I had been reading MTL chapters for the past few years. I usually read "Completed" stories, and most of them are around 2-4k chapters each. Of course, I read the translated chapters first. After I reach the latest translated chapter, I will immediately jump to *cough* Google Translate.

Yeah~ I know. Reading chapters through Google Translate was the most…epic mistake I did in the past. I've finished World Defying Dan God, Battle Through the Heavens uhh…and a few more novels using Google Translate.

In the later years, I discovered lnmtl.com, which gave me a better translation (at least the names of the characters are not written like Cloud Che instead of Yun Che (Against the Gods). 

To be perfectly honest, If I didn't start writing, I would have continued to read these machine translated chapters even now. Reading MTL works if English is not your first language.

This is something that those with English as their main language will scoff at. However, for those who just want to read. As in reading something without worrying about anything else, then they won't care even if it's a machine translated chapter. As long as they will be able to read the NEXT chapter, then it's all good.

This is also the reason why I admire translators. If not for them, these stories that we are not aware of will not be able to grace us with their presence. I would like to thank the translators of my favorite novels like Lord of Mysteries, Release that Witch, Against the Gods, Cultivation Chatgroup, Second Coming of Avarice, and so many other titles that I won't be able to list here.

To my beloved readers, if there will come a time when you feel like writing a story of your own and you're reading machine translated chapters, please stop now. I'm saying this for your own good. 

I understand how you feel. Believe me I do, but for the sake of the story you're going to write in the future, heed my advice. Stop now, while you still have the chance. Learning how to write from scratch with broken English is a painful process.

Then again, if you find an editor who is a masochist, consider yourself lucky. Let them clean up your mess for you, so you can focus on writing your story, and learn the art of writing while you write.

Sun Xiaomeng was sitting alone in her office, contemplating with her chin rested on her hands. 
In front of her, the computer screen was displaying two documents: one was a PDF file in English about animal behaviorism, and the other one was a Word file where the cursor was blinking. It was the Chinese version of the PDF file which was translated by a translation software.

If she was going to relocate her clinic in the future, it would take much effort to move this bookshelf alone. 
It was not accurate to say that she was in contemplation: she was absent-minded. Her brain was completely vacant, a status she enjoyed very much, because she could temporarily get away from her busy schedule in the clinic and her studies so that her brain could get a rest.

Sun Xiaomeng opened the file and looked at Little White’s case. Though she could almost recite what was in there, she read through the file seriously out of respect to Wu Yue. 
"Is Little White’s diet schedule and bowel movements normal?" She put on the disposable rubber gloves and started the regular inquiry as diagnosis. 
"Yes, I totally follow the diet standard made by you," answered Wu Yue earnestly. Sun Xiaomeng formulated nutritional meals with ingredients precise to the unit of gram according to Little White’s age and weight. Little White seemed to be in good spirits recently, and it was probably due to Sun Xiaomeng’s nutritional menu. 
"Good to know." Sun Xiaomeng took out a small flashlight from the pocket of her white gown, turned it on and observed closely Little White’s eyes, nose, and ear canals. She then pinched its chin to observe its tongue and throat. 
She nodded towards Wu Yue, indicating everything was normal. 
Sun Xiaomeng took off the dog shorts worn by Little White. There was medical cotton and medical gauze circling Little White’s stomach and the binding was stabilized by medical tape. The furs around its stomach were shaved so short that its pink skin was visible. A bit of transparent plastic tube was sticking out from beneath the cotton. 
Wu Yue turned away her head. She couldn't bear to see it like this. 
Sun Xiaomeng took out Vaseline from the medicine cabinet and applied it on the anal thermometer to test the body temperature of Little White.

She was sent to his grandpa's residence, because her dad resented her for killing her mother. She was convinced she was a vampire because of her dad's treatment. This story was a highly-rated horror story back in 2009.  

11. I don't know if these are actual books or not, but you can just regard them as textbooks/reference books. 

We follow the story of Song Lang, a genius in the police field, who due to unfortunate circumstances caused by his mortal enemy, now assumes the identity of a driver named Chen Shi. Although he had wanted to live out his days as an ordinary citizen, fate has other plans in store him. The academy library was only a short walk away and was quite close to the Elder's Building. The library building from the outside was only a small single storied building and no one will be able to guess that the building holds one of Asia's largest libraries. On the inside, the buildings show its true colours. Instead of a single floor, there were 10 different floors with each floor having a size similar to a football field. It could be said that this library was more than 10 times larger than the Hogwarts library.

This fact is not too surprising. Unlike Britain in which only a single language is used for all purposes, Magical India had more than 15 different official languages due to different tribe's having their very own language. Books written in all these languages were present inside this library. 

One thing I was thankful for in India was that despite there being so many languages, all the spells were in one language, Sanskrit. If every tribe used and taught their own version of spells in their native language, then having an academy will have no meaning. Each elder will teach in his/her language and due to this, the only people who will sign up for their classes will be their own tribe members since no one will be interested in learning a different language just to learn from the elder. If this was going to be the case, then the Elder could have conducted the class in his tribe itself.

Of the more than 15 languages here, I knew only English and Hindi. So I could read only the books in these two languages. The first two floors had only Hindi books while the English book filled a small part of the 10 floor. English was not a common used language here. I had only some average fluency in Hindi so I will have to improve my proficiency in it if I want to make good use of all these books. 

The third and fourth floors had books written in Sanskrit language and I will have to learn the language sometime soon in the future to make my learning process here faster. The language was not commonly spoken in the present era but most of the old and informative books were written in the Sanskrit  language and if I wanted to read and learn from them, I will have to learn language.

Much to my disappointment there was no easy way to solve this problem since there were no magical translators or spells that I could use to translate these books into English. People in India had tried very hard to make this possible over the years but they had failed miserably. I too felt that such a thing was impossible since different languages did not follow a pattern that could be used to magically translate it. Languages did not follow rules and were made by old people on a whim according to their needs.

The people here did invent a spell to make learning language easier though which I am going to make good use of. The spell will make it possible for me to completely learn a language in a month. All I had to do was memorise some books that came recommended with the spell and it will allow me to learn the language quickly. I am planning to use it to perfect my Hindi first and then learn Sanskrit. I did not plan to learn any other Indian language.

The library was huge and I already had a list of books that were recommended to me today that I had to read. I did not have time to waste since I had a deadline which I had to keep. I did not have too much time to waste.

Before going to the Healer section, I decided to visit the English section first since I wanted to see what was available in there. Also it was the language I was most comfortable with in this library. 

To get to the 10th floor, the people here had invented a magical variant of lift. It was a levitating disk on a platform which would follow my command in a way similar to that of a broom and take me to my floor. I liked the idea so much that I wanted to replicate this type of lift in my black castle. I planned on completely renovating the Black castle and this lift was added to the list of changes I wanted to make.

On the 10th floor, the English section was easy to find. The section consisted of 15 large bookshelves filled to the brim with books. This was a small number when compared to the even the Hogwarts library except that the books here were priceless. On glancing through the books, I found that the collection did not have any new books but instead every one of the books was an antique and were more than a 100 years old. Some were even more than 700 years old. Even my black library did not have these book and I wondered where the academy got them from.

The books were calling for me to read them but I controlled myself and went towards the Healer section of the library. I badly wanted to start reading the books but I knew that I had no time for them currently. I could come back here after 3 days and start reading them.

The Healer section on the second was huge with more than 30 bookshelves. I quickly found the books on my list and went towards the Duelling section which was on the same floor. It was not too big just 7 book shelves and I easily found the books recommended to me by Elder Akash. I also checked out the book which will allow me to improve my fluency in Hindi.

The checkout system here was quite unique. First of all, all the books in the library were warded to protect from damage and making copies. At the checkout counter I had to specify the number of days I needed a book. The books had another set of runes that were then programmed in such a way that when the rental period ended, the book will be automatically returned to its original location in the library. The books will also return to the library of I take it outside the academy boundary. I was very impressed by this system.

After checking out the books for 3 days, I left the library as it was time for my next class. The mage sight tutoring with Elder Nainesh. 

When I entered his room he was very excited to start teaching me. I learn the reason for it later during the class. It was due to the fact that my mage sight was different from his and he wanted to compare both and conduct experiments. The main difference was that my mage sight only showed a slight glow in my eyes when activated which his not noticeable while his and his tribes mage sight had tell tale sign when activated. His eyes started twinkling like Dumbledore's glasses when mage sight was activated so he couldn't discreetly use the sight like I always did.

The class was very productive. The method to toggle between different modes was controlling the amount of magic that I sent into my eyes. For the seeing through walls effect I had to rotate my the magic around my eyes. The amount of magic in the eyes and my control in rotating it perfect decided the distance I could see and what I could see.

It was difficult to do since I had not practiced controlling the amount of magic that I could send to my eyes ever in my life. For the first class I did just that. Controlling the magic. By the end of the class I had gotten a slight hang of the method and I could toggle between the modes just for a short few seconds before I lost control. I was sure I could perfect this in a weeks time.

After that productive one hour class, I went back to my room. It was time for me to start reading those books since time was tight. After conjuring a table and a chair, I started reading, beginning with the language book so that my later reading will be quicker.

[4 Years Later, year 766] (A/N: MC will be 1 year younger than Laxus)

"Father! When are you going to teach me magic? asked a little 4-year-old brunet. Despite being 4 years old he was 3'75" in height which is considered quite tall for a 4-year-old boy. But his height was not the only thing that stood out about him, his shamrock eyes that gave a feeling of tranquility was his most appealing feature. Despite his appearance which could be described as 'Cute', his aura was majestic like a dragon.  (A/N: Before you roast me for giving a 4 y/o majestic aura bullsh*t, let me establish the plot armor for this story. *Aether* It's Broken. Aether will be the plot-armor in my story. MC won't have the power of friendship armor but he will have Aether 'Hashirama cell for my Novel'.)

The father in question glanced at the boy with his huge mismatched eyes before bursting out laughing. "Hahaha, Patience my boy patience. We will begin your training from tomorrow and I must say that I am quite impressed with your recent growth. The breathing technique that I taught you allowed you to absorb the Aether essence from the atmosphere and helped you to adjust your body to be able to withstand the 'Aether Dragon Sovereign Slayer Arts'. But *Sigh* are you sure you want to learn my Slayer Arts and not any other magic? I already told you the risks and side-effects of learning this specific Slayer Art. Although your physique which is quite 'special' and the breathing technique that I taught you will help you to suppress the side effect to an extent but it still won't be able to stop them completely. So, there is still time for you to back off and learn some other type of magic." said the massive mountain size dragon. This dragon was none other than 'Alzerion' The Dragon Sovereign of Aether and the last living dragon sovereign.

"NO!! I only want to learn the Dragon Slayer Art, I don't care about other types of magic. And you already told me that there are ways to remove the side-effects of this magic!" exclaimed the boy.

"Indeed there are ways to remove the side-effects of the Sovereign Dragon Slayer Arts, Kaiser, but those ways are as rare as finding a dragon sovereign, which if you were not able to comprehend is almost *Zero*" said Alzerion in a serious tone.

"But I still want to learn it Father." said Kaiser almost on the verge of tears.

"*Sigh* Sometimes I wonder what I am going to do with you, but if you still want to learn the Dragon Sovereign Arts you must promise me to learn at least two more magic types from the Magic Archive" demanded Alzerion pointing towards his magic archive.

"I promise" Kaiser's reply came almost instantly.
 
"*Sigh* Alright then go and pick whichever magic book you want. I will teach those magic to you from tomorrow along with the Slayer Arts. But remember to choose wisely." said Alzerion.

"Yes Father!!" said Kaiser before rushing inside the library.

'He is one hyperactive kid, but he is the only person that is keeping me out of boredom. I hope that I can teach him everything before I pass away, after all I don't have much time left.' thought Alzerion to himself.

[PoV: Kaiser]

Walking towards the Lost magic section I am surprised by the sheer amount of magic books that are present in the library. There are thousands of books arranged in the shelves from top to bottom. If I were to guess, no human can finish reading let alone learning all these magic in their entire lifetime. But still I need to find 2 or more appropriate magic for me, that why I am going towards the lost magic section. It has the best magic that father was able to learn and collect over the years. Some of those magic were not possible to learn even for him but still he found ways to preserve the knowledge for others in this library. 

"If I ever decide to go on a long journey I must ask father to allow me to take some of these books with me. These books are invaluable." I thought out loud.

After reaching the Lost Magic section I started going through the books. What I have in mind are support and defense magic. Since Dragon Slayer Arts are extremely destructive so the offense part will be covered by it.

'Hmm... Let's see.. Great Tree Arc, Arc of Time, Human Subordination Magic, 
Maguilty Sense, Soul Snatcher Magic...

All these sounds cool especially Arc of time, but that is not what I am looking for at the moment. Maybe I will learn this some other time. Let's continue...

Heaven's Prayer Magic, Celestial Magic.. This sounds cool~ Etherious Necromancy~ Cool but creepy.... Wtf?!?! Gender-bender Magic? What in heaven's name is this sh*t? Better stay 10 miles away from it. Hmm, wait this looks interesting.'

Crystal Make Magic - A lost magic that is considered to be the predecessor of Ice-make magic. This magic is said to be 10 times more complex and powerful than Ice-make magic. Due to the complexity of this magic and the amount of mana required to form crystals many professors found methods to lower the mana cost and complexity by sacrificing the defense mechanism of this magic. The result of this sacrifice was Ice-make a weaker and cheaper version of crystal-make magic. It is said that items made from Crystal-Make magic can withstand even dragon roars.

"Yep! This is it, I am taking this!" exclaimed Kaiser.

'Well this should be enough for defense, but now let's search for support magic~


_2 hours later_

"Perfect!" said Kaiser jumping in joy.

Maya: Ancient Lost Magic of Illusion: The magic that was lost in time. To cast this magic one must look into the target's eye directly. This magic was said to be used by the Great Wizard Melision. He was able to create illusion magic that is said to be able to trap even gods. Once someone is trapped in this magic it is impossible to escape from it. That only way to break free from being trapped in this magic is by causing pain that is equivalent to breaking of at least 7 bones, but for this to work the person must be able to control his body to some extent which is nigh impossible when under 'Maya.' 

"T-This is perfection!!!" exclaimed Kaiser while holding the book in his hand. He was thinking of all the possible ways to improve this magic by making it mass-control type magic. 

'Now let's leave and get some rest. Tomorrow is going to be the best day of my life.'

After taking the books I started walking towards the exit while humming s melody. When I was almost reached the end of the Lost Magic Section, my eyes fell on a certain book. Contemplating whether to take another book or not I decided to take a look at this book. And when I did, my eyes nearly popped out of my socket.

Lost Magic: Arc of Embodiment- A magic so powerful that it can cause destruction on planetary level. One of the most dangerous and most powerful magic to be ever created. This magic uses a mage's imagination to create items that can vary from daily necessities to planet-buster weapons. The stronger the item the higher the mana cost and higher the control needed. If the mage is not careful enough while handling the magic it can backfire and cause the mage to lose his life. Due to the risk of self-harm and its destructive powers, this magic was classified as a forbidden magic. (A/N: Let's be honest here, Mashima totally wasted this magic on someone as stupid as Rusty Rose.)

"H-How can such a strong magic even exist? This is madness!" squealed Kaiser in excitement.

"I am definitely learning this! I don't care about the risk, I will learn this!" decided Kaiser jumping in joy.

_10 minutes later_

"So, have you selected your magic?" asked Alzerion with one eye closed.

"Yes, I have. And they are super Overpowered!!!" declared Kaiser with a proud gleam in his eyes.

"Hoo~ let's see what you selected then." said Alzerion glancing at the books in his hand.

'T-this brat actually selected those books? As dangerous and difficult it is to learn those magic, if one is successful in mastering even one of those magic they are a force to be reckoned with. And the fact that he is just 4-year-old and was able to select such perfect combination of magic for offence , defense and support is mind-blowing.' thought Alzerion.

"As impressive as those books are, they are extremely difficult and dangerous to learn, are you sure you want to learn them?" asked Alzerion while keeping his eyes fixed at the figure of his son.

"100 percent! I know the risk but if I am able to learn them, I will be super strong! These magic covers all the aspects of battle from offence to defense and support. So I want to learn them all!" said Kaiser in a serious yet excited tone.

"You know sometimes I forget how much of a genius you are because of the fact that you act so stupid sometimes." said Alzerion in a mock-surprised tone.

"Hey! I am smart! *hmph!*" snorted Kaiser.

"Haha, you are son, you are. Now go to sleep, We will start your training from early morning tomorrow." said Alzerion while pointing towards Kaiser's bed.

"Okay father, good night." said Kaiser.

"Goodnight son." replied Alzerion.

{A/N: Honestly, Arc of Embodiment is broken so I will be placing quite a few restrictions to it similar to Aether slayer arts. It is broken as well, so I decided to put some side-effects to it. Next chapter, will be about his training and I will explain a little bit about his special 'physique' and its abilities *spoiler* His high intelligence despite being 4-year-old is related to his physique. Time passes by like a wind Xin spends his whole time reading and studying books in this world.

While he was doing this, his neighbor Sohara start coming in his house to teach him everything she knows,

Because of that, they become friends, sometimes Xin cook some food for her.

They spend their time with each doing studying or roaming at the town.going in a mall to do shopping or coming in the market to buy ingredients.

Sometimes Sohara sleep at his house, maybe because it's Xin don't want to be alone in his house he accept her offer.

But Xin notices that Sohara was bad at cooking and some subject.

Last time Xin cooking and Sohara ask him to teach him how to cook.

Because she helps Xin to his study, he generous teach her .. in the end, it was a disaster.

Xin taught her how to cook a simple dish sunny side up egg. In the beginning, everything is normal he put the egg in the pan then fry it.

Seeing this Xin thought that it was too easy for her to cook an egg that's why he let her do anything she wants.

A few minutes later after Xin finish cooking, he places all the food on the table and call for Sohara to eat and then she came.

When Xin was about to eat Sohara give Xin the egg that he cooks.

Xin happy accept it looked normal so he try it.

When Xin spoon fork hit the egg a dark, a dark aura burst from inside of it Xin almost take his weapon and hit it in his shock.

Xin silently stare at the egg then to Sohara's smiling face, he knows that if he eat this egg he will pass out.

So he divided it into two and give the other half to Sohara the ask her to taste it.

She were happy to eat it because she never taste the first food she made.

Xin just stare her to eat and see her reaction, and just like what Xin imagine she pass out.

After that incident Xin never let her cook.

For the subject Sohara were bad at English, when Xin ask her to teach him she barely pronounce the word.

Xin did not understand English well but he is not an idiot, he can tell if the word she said is right.

After knowing Sohara is bad at English he just ask system to teach him but the system only give Xin books and dictionary for learning materials.

Then recommend using modern technology so that he can easily learn.

Just like that he spend his whole month doing everything that look interesting for him, with Sohara whos following him everywhere he goes and went like older sister.

But some things bothered Xin, every two days when Xin sleeping he always dream a girl with blue hair and white dress speaking with him, but Xin can't hear what he was saying.

Xin ask system about his dream but the system only said it was classified so Xin never ask it again.

On his second dream, he awake in the middle of the grassland and the blue girl where there waiting for him.

But his time Xin was shocked that he can now hear her voice.

Xin was surprised and ask her who she was but she didn't say anything.

She said that there are some rules in this dream they can speak to each other but they can't tell there own personal information.

Hearing this Xin never ask her are going about his information.

They both just spent their time there talking to each other telling what they are doing every day.

But Xin only one speaking and the girl only listen to his story.

Xin told her about his garden, what he eats that day or about his friend that can cook poison using egg.

After that first dream Xin gain another friend, 

After he wakes up Xin told Sohara about his dream and the girl in his dream.

But Sohara said that maybe it was only an ordinary dream but Xin keep telling her that he always dream her after that Sohara believed him.

They both try to find what kind of dream he was dreaming but they can't find the answer even on the internet,

So they just let it be because Xin said that kind of dream did not endanger him.

Soon the first semester of school start but in Xin's surprise he and Sohara become classmates.

Both of them elated knowing that they are going to see each other every day.

When Xin first enter the classroom some students taught that he had lost his way but when Xin told them that he was a school student like them all they all shock.

But after the teacher tells them that Xin skip grades they all feel amazed.

While Sohara feel proud for his little friend.

Because Xin was a genius and his appearance all of his classmates fond of him.

Some girls come to him to become a friend and ulterior motive.

Seeing that Sohara try to defend Xin for some bad influence for him.

But Xin told her that they just want to become friend, Because Sohara can easily understand that Xin was easy to get along with she just let them do whatever they want.

Because of Xin's cute appearance, all of the student treat him like school mascot.

Every time the student passes him they give Xin candy and pet his head.

On the second day, Xin is about to go home with Sohara, when he opened his locker both of them was shocked that Xin locker is full of letters.

Sohara know that Xin was cute and lovable but he don't know that there some girls who have a weird fetish.

Xin confused look at his locker but he thought all of the later was just a greeting letter so he takes all of them back to his home.

Entering the library that was in a room at the back of the house, there was long table in the middle of the room. 

The books lined up on the shelves inside weren't all that much, but for a village, it was plentiful. The bookshelves lined up the 3 sides of the room.
 
The shelf on the left side of the room was pretty long, almost as long as the wall itself. This shelf had books about magic, mana, magic research and other hand written research documents. 

At first it made Cecil wonder why a fox village with their inherent magic had such a long line of books related to magic research and the modern magic system. 

It turns out that Lucia's mother, Anna, was actually a very talented Spellcaster and magic researcher. She was able to adeptly use the modern magic system's magic spells as well as her own inherent magic spells. 

She had graduated from a prestigious magic academy and continued with her research until she got married and settled down in Fauxe Village with her husband, Zaki. 

She still does some magic research now and then when she has time, but she mostly invests her time to housework and teaching all she knows about magic to Lucia. Now it was with the addition of Cecil. 

There were 2 bookshelves on the right side of the room and they were separated by a window. The shelf closer to the door had books related to history and geography, while the further shelf had books related to language and mathematics. 

The small shelf at the far end of the room by the side of a window was small and it contained the story books that Lucia loved.
 
When Cecil first came to the library, the first kind of book Lucia showed him was precisely from this small shelf. 

It made her a little upset when Cecil directly ignored it and pulled out a book from the geography & history shelf while telling her to read it to him. 

At the time, although Cecil was already capable of speaking the language, it was still hard for him to read. 

She complained for a week after that, saying that he was a dull and boring person. But what could he do? Cecil seriously needed information about the world.

Now he could read them by himself, but it was with difficulty. So in the end, Cecil still needed Lucia to help read the books for him.

"Okay, stupid Cel, what do you want me to read?"

"Hey, Lulu… can you please stop calling me that every time we come into the library?"

"Well, it's not MY fault that Cel can't READ, fufufu~"

"Hey, that's uncalled for!"

"Bleeehh~"

This always happens when they go to the library. Lucia now had the habit of calling Cecil, 'Stupid Cel'. It couldn't be helped that he still couldn't read well. 

Silver, seeing them settled, goes over to the window and lays down to sleep on the floor.

"Just read me the books about the place we're at."

"Okay~"

Lucia and Cecil go to the 'geo-shelf' and grab a couple of books, after getting all the books about the topic, they come back to the desk and settle the books down. After picking a particular book, Lucia opens it up and waits for Cecil to finish preparing his quill and paper. 

Cecil has to take notes of course, the notes were in English. It was a normal thing for Cecil to take notes and he would always use English to write them. 

It was probably because she was curious, but Lucia had also started to learn English. Due to that, it was Cecil's turn to see her struggle like him in learning each other's' respective languages.

"Okay, let's start then."

"Un, the world we live in is called…"

The world Cecil had transferred to was called Alterna. It was a world almost like Earth. It had 6 large continents, but Alterna was at least 10 or more times the size of Earth. Cecil was surprised that this world had the "world is round" concept. 

The 6 continents' names are the human continent Midgard, the fairy continent Faerholm, the beast-kin continent Urrugdrasil, the demonkin continent Helaife, the artic continent Aizlandia, and the dead continent Non. 

The human continent was situated in the western hemisphere. Anyways, the Human Continent Midgard, as the name implies, is a continent where the majority of the population are human's. 

The civilization there was also pretty advanced, already having the technology to travel through the air on airships and such. 

Cecil was currently on the Urrugdrasil Continent and was surprised to find out that the two continents were actually only separated by a 100 kilometer long 'river'. 

Legend states that Urrugdrasil and Midgard was once one whole super continent. It was only because of the constant wars between races that a 'God', who was benevolent and wanted to end all the conflicts, used his/her sword and slashed a huge 100 km long and abysmally deep gouge across land, ultimately separating the two land masses. 

Of course, this was only a legend. The credibility wasn't all that good and it was the propaganda that the religion at the border between the two continents spread. 

The two continents were peaceful in the coming days, even until this day, though this was only on the surface. There's no way it would be peaceful after all that history of enmity. 

It was just like back on earth where wars were raged because of the differences between ideals and races. This applied even to the inhabitants of this world. 

For instance, even though trade was open between the two countries and the people from the two sides could come and go as they please using teleportation formations that were situated in the couple of major cities that were located around the border, the tension between the two sides were on the rise because the human side had started to kidnap people from the beast-kin side to be used and sold as slaves and such. 

Of course to prevent this, the beast-kin side would straight away kill the people who were caught kidnapping and even raid human cities to try and save their own kin. 

This was the information obtained from the merchants who came to the village twice a week. They said that small scale skirmishes had already started popping up, with the humans saying that they wanted to enact justice towards the beast-kin who had raided their cities. 

It was laughable considering that the humans themselves were the first ones who had raided villages and towns to kidnap the beast-kin. 

As human himself, he felt very shameful and disgusted towards how hypocritical his own race was. When the merchants spoke of the news, the town of course was full with worry. 

The merchants were even starting to worry about how the village was sheltering Cecil. The person who spoke up for Cecil was without a doubt Lucia. But Cecil for one, was even more relieved that the villagers themselves didn't condemn him for being a human, they even defended him, explaining how he was different from those despicable people. 

It was also because of his contributions to the village that earned him the favor of everyone. Cecil was always helping out with the hunting and miscellaneous jobs around the village. 

Next would be the beast-kin continent called Urrugdrasil. Fauxe Village was located out on the far east side of the continent. So Cecil was a long ways away from the Urrug-Mid border.

So why was the news about the conflict between the humans and already making their way far out here? This was because according to another rumor, there might be a war waiting to happen if things get too out of hand. 

The situation was actually so bad that there were also rumors about other beast-kin actually cooperating with the humans in kidnapping their fellow kin and selling them to the human slave traders. 

It was really cruel and hypocritical, but that's what greed does to people, human and beast-kin alike. 

The Urrugdrasil had a variety of beast-kin species. This was the only continent that had the presence of dragons in it and also had their protection. 

The huge tree that Cecil saw on the first day he was transported to the Alterna was unique to this continent. It was called the World Tree, Urrugdrasil. 

The name of the continent actually came from the name of the World Tree itself. The World Tree was the guardian deity of the continent, and the protectors of the World Tree were the elf race. 

This included every species of elf such as the dark elves, night/moon elves, high elves, wood elves, sun elves, and many others. They each had a specific region around the world tree that they would protect, except for the dark elves and sun elves. 

The dark elves lived in caves that were connected to the underground and protected the roots of the World Tree from underground monsters while the sun elves lived directly on the large branches and leaves and tended to the trunk, branches, leaves, flowers, and fruits of the World Tree.

The other beast-kin races were scattered around the continent and most lived in harmony with each other. There were a few races who couldn't stand to even breathe the same air as their rival race. 

One example of beast-kin races that were in constant war with each other was the canine and feline types of beast-kin. 

This reminded Cecil of the love-hate relationship between cats and dogs back on earth. It was quite amusing to Cecil that the two couldn't even get along even in another world. 

Also, it was exactly these warring races of beast-kin that was said to be kidnapping and selling each other's kin to the human slave traders. 

The very people of the continent might be the ones sparking the war between the two continents in the future. 

'Hopefully this doesn't happen because I have to make my way from the east of this continent, to the west where the border is at.' 

If a war were to start between the human and beast-kin races him being a human wouldn't really be a welcome at all if that time ever came. He might even be kidnapped or killed on sight.

Next was Faerholm. Faerholm wasn't a large continent. It was somewhat like Australia, just a couple times bigger. 

It was located at the "root" of the world. On earth, it was located where Antarctica was. The outer area of the continent was protected by the snow and the constant blizzards that happened all year long. There was never a time when the blizzards and snowstorms let up. 

The only reason that people knew it was the land of fairies was because  old records stated that the land of the fairies were once a part of the demon continent Helaife, but because of the constant oppression from the demon-kin, the guardian deity of the fairies separated a portion of the land mass and moved it to the root of the world, cast an eternal spell of blizzard and snow, henceforth isolating and separating the fairies from the world. 

Not much was known about this continent because no one has ever made it past the frozen area, but it was believed that past the blizzards and snowstorms, was a paradise. Heaven on earth basically, a Shangri La.

It was the year 2023 on Earth, on the afternoon of a normal day, the Earth was suddenly enveloped by an unknown light that mysteriously transferred the human population into another world.

This story begins with a pitiful boy who was reluctantly forced into accepting his family's martial inheritance after his siblings turned it down. Who would have thought that this very inheritance would be extremely useful in the world he would be transported to.
