And thus, Mei Qingyang's college life started at this prestigious school of elites. For next few days, she tried really hard to talk to the servant category people outside of the college, but everyone was very tight lipped about everything. No one was willing to jeopardize their status.

One thing about the school time was to be noted here. The servants were not allowed to be in the service of their masters when the school and colleges were in session. The schools had fixed timing for all the kids, so the servants could not even step near the school buildings. College classes went on throughout the day depending on who had taken what course. So, the servants were allowed near the buildings, but they could not enter. This was done to restrict poor kids' access to education. If they were to become more informed, there were high chances of them rebelling.

Thus, she had to change her targets to relatively newer recruits in the middle school. She did gather some intel from their attitude. The servants in the college were relatively happier because one, they had accepted their fate and two, most of them were not being treated badly by their masters, especially if they had shown better intelligence in terms of scheming. 

This was a cruel world and everyone was out there to get ahead of each other. Scheming and plotting were rampant among the wealthy kids. Disgracing each other was equivalent to attacking each other's parents. The kids who won their battles would gain favor of their classmates, boosting their own reputation and their families' as well. Here, everything was directly related to one's family's prestige.

So, not only was there discrimination between rich and poor, there was similar demarcation among the rich themselves. The people on lower end of the spectrum, like the nouveau rich or kids whose families were in peril for reasons like loss or failure in business would 'take up' these 'tasks' from kids belonging to well established families. The tasks included anything from running errands for them they did not want to be traced back on to taking a few childish revenges on someone who had pissed the employer party off.

Now this was a business world. So, there were plenty of people who were not as well off as others and were looking to boost their images. A few were forced to butter the better off people by their families. The phrase 'dog eat dog' really was apt for this school. 

The Gu cousins and their classmates jealous of Mei Qingyang had engaged a few of the similar desperate people to trouble the girl who had been garnering attention from the three gods of the school. They could not really stomach their imaginary importance going down in hearts of the crowd.

This started the series of days full of headaches for Mei Qingyang. She had basically been left to her own devices for her classes by everyone and whole last row had been designated just for her in each class. The second day she entered her first class, each and every seat was soaked with water. All other seats were occupied by her classmates, so no space was left for her. 

If the students thought this would faze her at all, they were wrong. This was nothing. Very proudly, Qingyang sat on the last stair of the classroom. People snickered on her and called out names, until the professor came, with the TAs.

Half the students had thought that the three gods being the TA was a first day prank by their immediate seniors. The other half had believed that TAs would not be visiting them everyday. But Yu Tian and Feng Yue proved them wrong. They saw the girl sitting on the floor, obediently waiting for the class to start. Looking around, they found a few people averting their gaze subconsciously, confirming that this was their deed.

The professor asked Mei Qingyang the reason of her sitting on the floor. She also looked around with a smile without saying anything at first. Once she saw the averting part from a few, her smile deepened. Then she elaborated how the seats at the back were damp and how she thought that someone might have screwed up by mistake while cleaning the classroom. 

Her statement fueled the confidence of the culprits thinking that she had got scared of offending them. Professor also knew what was going on but chose to ignore it.

Yu Tian looked at her to check any plead for help or sadness, but only found confidence in her sparkly eyes. Before he knew it, he had gone ahead and sat down beside her. 

*Damn! Had we not decided not to get involved with her and just keep an eye? Why am I sitting here?*

Feng Yue gave him a questioning look too. Had this girl really hypnotized his friend? Seeing Yu Tian silently sit with her, with contentment on his face, Feng Yue shrugged his shoulders and sat on her other side, to surprise of everyone. Their fake confidence deflated in an instant. 

But this continued for a week or so. She had girls write her abusive letters. Her seat almost always had some issues. People even left dead fish and birds in front off her room, making sure that she knew that she was being targeted for taking too much undeserved spotlight. They even poured water on her at different times.

Unfortunately for people who were looking to break her, she still held her head high. Gu Jiujiu could not take it anymore and on Friday of the first week, she decided to confront Mei Qingyang before their last class of the day started.

"Yo! I hear you have been encountering unfortunate events everyday. Not in just in the college but outside too. Are you enjoying the dead animals? They must be saving you tons of grocery money, since you don't need to arrange for meat anymore.", and she laughed out loud at her seemingly intelligent insult.

"You really think these childish pranks would affect me? Are you overestimating yourself or underestimating me Gu Jiujiu? Or are you guys trying to tell me that you guys came up with such stupid ideas because these might have really affected you yourselves if you were in my place?", Mei Qingyang was as calm as ever, even telling to step their game up.

Most of the people now felt embarrassed of themselves. That's correct. Why would they think of these pranks as harmful unless they themselves feared them? This girl always knew their innermost thoughts.

"I personally would suggest you guys to come up with something better. Even kids in elementary school would do better than this. I really judge why this school is so famous for intelligence if it is at this level." She then went back to reading her book without looking at flummoxed Gu Jiujiu.

Gu Layue was also sitting there and looking at her performance. She realized that this girl was indeed a tough nut to crack. If she wanted something better, then it was time to take matters in her own hands.

Mei Qingyang's wish came true the second week after the college started. She vowed to never seek more trouble ever again.

"Will you leave me now that you know of my secret?", he looked into her eyes, just to get a hint of what she was thinking.

She took his right hand in hers and delicately wiped the blood from his wound. "You should understand one thing here, it was not your fault. There is no way my feelings will change for you after this. You are mine and will always be."

"That's my girl.", he beamed from ear to ear and kissed her forehead in his elation.

We meet Macy in her room. He wearing the clothes that I bought for her when we shopping at the mall. She smiling when see us arrive.
"Doctor Sullivan isn't the bomber, neither did I"
"We know that Macy, let me guess, the spirit from children that killed during the first bomb attack telling you about this right?"
"You right Mr. Jones and there will be another bomb attack today"
What? Another bomb attack? I immediately approaching Macy to get the detail
"Where? Where's the bomb target? When it will explode?"
She looking in another direction,
"Ah, Mr. Jones aura is too strong, it's deflecting the spirit away"
Dispirited I return on Sam side while complaining
"She said my aura too strong and deflecting spirit away Sam"
"Be patient, partner, who knows that spirit will return?" said Sam while patting my shoulder.
"Oh they're back" suddenly Macy said something and look to a certain direction and look like listening
"I understand. They say the next bomb target is Arthur J. Chester Elementary School"
"Really? Macy, you come with us. Sam, call the station to send the bomb squad to Arthur J. Chester Elementary School immediately"
"You got it, partner"
Three of us hurriedly leave the hospital to go to the Arthur J. Chester Elementary School, where the next bomb will happen. We seem the first one who arrives there because I haven't seen any police or bomb squad there.
"Macy, can you show me the location of the bomb?"
"Okay, follow me"
We entering the school and walk along the corridor. Until we arrive in a class, Macy suddenly stop
"The bomb is here"
She's pointing the classroom in front of us.
"Okay, Sam, you go to the principal room and ask them to evacuate the school, Macy, you stay here, don't go anywhere. I will talk to the teacher inside and ask her to evacuate the student from the class"
"Roger that Rick"
"Okay"
After knocking on the door, I enter the class and speak with the teacher. At first, she looks shocked but after I told her what she should do, she immediately regains her calm and does as I say to evacuate her student.
I give a sign to Macy to enter the class.
"Macy, do you know where the bomb was hidden?"
She nodded and pointing a filing cabinet in the corner of the class. I open the filing cabinet carefully.
On the last drawer, there's a suspicious box laying in the back of a drawer.
"Rick! The bomb squad is here"
Sam arrived at the right time with the bomb squad officer. The bomb squad officer does his job carefully. He inspects the container to find if there's a trap mechanism that will incite the bomb to explode if the container was opened. After making sure there's no trap, he carefully lifts the lid of the container. Inside the box, there are many metal tubes that connected with many wires. There's also a watch on top of those tubes. There are no mistakes that box is a time bomb that places here to explode and damage the school.
"Can you disarm this bomb?"
I ask the bomb squad officers. He looks distressed and sweat popped in his forehead.
"I don't know. This arrangement is complicated and I don't know if I have enough time to disarm it"
"The bomb will be exploded in four minutes forty seconds, please evacuate immediately"
Macy suddenly speaks the time of the bomb explosion.
Me and the bomb squad officer is looking at each other. I look at my watch, the time still ticking.
"Can you disarm in four minutes?"
"How she knows the time of the explosion? Is she the bomber?"
Three minutes fifty seconds…..
"No she' not and I'm believing her!"
The bomb squad officers still hesitate to leave.
Three minutes thirty seconds....
"God damn it! If you not sure you can disarm it then leave, don't throw away your life here"
"Okay! Let's leave"
Finally, the bomb squad officers give in and leave the classroom with us. Three minutes later when we about to leave the school building, a loud explosion come from the classroom that we left. Smoke, fire and shattered glass and debris spread to everywhere.
The firefighter who already standby in the schoolyard immediately does their job to extinguish the fire. Luckily, all school students and teacher already evacuate and no casualties or injuries happen in this incident.

Su-hyuk Jang, a producer with five years of experience, clicked his tongue in disapproval the moment he stepped into the meeting room. "Jaehyung!" he yelled, turning towards the youngest producer in the team. "I told you so many times to get this place cleaned up before I get here! It's like a damn barn in here!"
"Oh, another team just got done with their meeting, so..."
"Hey. Kiddo. Didn't I tell you to just get moving and not give me stupid excuses? Getting into weird habits, aren't we?"

Jang raised his hand towards the young producer, who cowered in fear and quickly dropped his head.

"I'm so sorry, sir."
"Get on with it then! Chop chop, get this place cleaned up!"

Jaehyung scurried over to the meeting table, frantically getting rid of all the used cups and stray pens and markers rolling all over the place. As he watched the young man work, Jang muttered to himself, wholly dissatisfied. Such laziness, and from the newbie of all people! How was he supposed to trust this boy with running errands? Huffing and puffing, Jang took his seat at the head of the table, followed by three writers. They each sat in their respective seats, sharing nervous glances between each other.

"A-Anyway, Ms. Kim!" one of the writers spoke up, attempting to lighten the mood. "What happened with that tip from the other day?"
"Nayeon went to check it out. Go on, tell us."

Nayeon promptly arranged some pictures on the table and began to explain.

"Have you all heard about the "reading boy"? He went viral a few months ago, and you can definitely tell why. He has this sort of... other worldly feel to him."
"Hmm. I'm not familiar," said Jang, scratching his head as he scrutinized the pictures.
"Oh, he's so cute!"
"I've seen him!" exclaimed the young producer. "I remember thinking he was really good-looking. Weirdly so, to be honest. Still, you can't stop looking at him."
"Huh. He must be pretty famous, if even Jaehyung knows about him."
"Yes, actually. His pictures were trending on quite a few search engines at the time. Anyway, the tip was about him. Oh, I have a picture from when I went to talk to him!"

Nayeon quickly tapped her tablet screen, searching and searching, as the others continued to admire the pictures on the table.

"Wow, look at him. He seems pretty photogenic, yeah?"
"Definitely. Guaranteed views right there."


Found it! Nayeon held up her tablet triumphantly. "Here! He shot an ad!" The picture on the screen was of a young boy sitting at a desk, intently reading a book. It was an ad for the public library, yes, but a sort of picturesque fantasy feeling emanated from the picture despite the modern props.

"He's a model?"
"Not professionally, but the picture that went viral was taken in this library. So they took this as an opportunity to advertise the public library in time for the fall exhibit, and had him be their model."
"Okay, that's enough backstory." Jang sighed as he waved his hand dismissively. "Tell me about the tip."
"Oh, of course. I spoke with his homeroom teacher first, to confirm the tip, and she claims that he's not like the other kids. All the other teachers know about him, too, so he's pretty well known in school. He's really good at math, and he's started to learn physics. Alone."
"Alone? He's self-taught?"
"Yes. Just like our tip said, he doesn't receive tutoring at school or at the institute. Spends most of his time at the library. I spoke to the institute as well, and apparently he borrows books from the older kids and reads those all day. Of course, no private tutor. The kid confirmed this."
"Reads books, huh...? What about tests?"
"I went ahead with the interview before giving him the test papers, but honestly, it was pretty easy to tell he's different."

With that, Nayeon recalled yesterday's events at Inpyeong Elementary.

The two sat across from each other in the counseling room.

"Oh, it's warm here," noted Nayeon. "I'd heard that schools had good air conditioning now, but I didn't think it'd be this good."

Lucid stared at her blankly, which made her laugh a bit. "Don't worry, I'm just talking to myself. Should we start off with some questions? First things first, what's your name?"

He told her.

"Did your parents name you?"
"No. From my understanding, the chairman of the institute I'm staying at came up with it."
"Oh, really? Well. It suits you. Anyway, I heard you like reading. Is that true?"
"Hmm... Yes, I suppose you could say that." Lucid answered rather hesitantly.
"Could you elaborate?"
"I think it's more accurate to say that I like reading books to study."

Had she heard him correctly? She wasn't exactly sure. First of all, where the hell had that answer come from? And second of all...

"I'm sorry, but you are in the first grade, correct?"
"Yes."

That was answer enough, but Nayeon still had to stop herself from asking his age.

"Alright, then. Could you explain the difference to me?"
"I think that reading and reading to study have different objectives. When I first came to school, I read everything I could get my hands on, because I liked to read. I read biographies and textbooks on math, science, grammar. My goal back then was to immerse myself in the books and marvel at the ideas in them. But now, my goal is to study. I'm reading books so I can understand their content and gain more knowledge. So, since there are two different goals, I think they should be seen as two different things."

Nayeon thought (or rather, knew) that further interviewing would be rather pointless. If a first grader was able to convey his thoughts with such eloquence and sound logic, didn't that automatically qualify him as a genius? This wasn't just a tip. This was a huge scoop.

"Well then," she continued, "what books have you been reading recently?"
"Physics, mainly. I'd like to learn more about physical phenomena. But I found out that you need to know a lot of math to understand physics. So I've been reading math books, too, but I'm not that good at it, so the physics books make little sense to me."
"How far along are you with math?"
"Just the four arithmetic equations. I think I understand linear equations well enough."

Was he really a first grader? He sounded more like a middle schooler.

"A first grader who knows linear equations?" Jang asked, interrupting Nayeon's recollection. "Are you sure he's in elementary? Not middle school?"

Nayeon cringed internally at the realization that she and Jang had thought the same thing, but powered through to continue her explanation.

"Yes, sir, yes. Anyway, we don't need to have a long meeting about this. With his looks and his brains, he's going to be a huge hit! I know it."

Jang turned around to look at Wang, one of the writers.

"Do you have a story in mind?"
"First, we need more information on his school life. Or even his life at the institute," Wang answered, twirling a pen between her fingers. "We'll include some more interviews, get his IQ tested, and ask a science high school or even a university to collab and get a professional evaluation. That good?"
"He's even more stunning in person, I guarantee it." Nayeon chimed in. "He doesn't look wholly Korean, but it's not like he looks like a foreigner, either. It's weird, but it works. You take one look and you know he's objectively really good-looking. My point is, the story doesn't matter! His face alone could bring in so many views!"
"Nayeon, sweetie. I admire your confidence, but his face is something the camera crew will take care of. We're writers."
"I'm just saying. There's nothing wrong with having something pretty to look at."

Jang ignored this whole exchange, instead turning to the younger producer to relay directions.
"Jaehyung, get the cameras ready. Ms. Wang, I trust you to come up with a good storyline and a solid schedule. Get back to me with both."
"How long?"
"We're not sure this'll work, so 20 minutes for now."

And with that, the meeting was over. As they left the room, one of the writers, Yunseon Jo, approached Nayeon.

"Was he really all that?" she asked.
"Oh my God!" Nayeon shouted. "You have no idea! Like, so much better than any child actor I've ever seen! I literally had to stop myself from hugging him, it was insane!"
"Look at you. You're totally gone. I saw it coming, with you going on and on about his face instead of focusing on a story. Are you into kids?"
"Hey! That's going way too far! I'm just saying, his face keeps popping up in my head..."

Smack!

A loud noise rang through the hallway as Yunseon slapped Nayeon's arm.
"That! That's going to far! Watch what you say, Nayeon. That's honestly going into lovesickness territory."

Nayeon rubbed her arm gingerly, but still looked like she had more to say. Thankfully, Wang stepped in just in time to stop her.

"That's enough. The producer told you already, but I'll remind you just in case. We're writers. We come up with a story for the program. The camera works on the looks. Or do you want a transfer?"
"Ms. Wang! Aww, that's so mean! I was born to be a writer, you know that!"

Nayeon tried her best to escape her situation, using her status as the youngest writer to act cute and innocent. It didn't exactly work, per se, but Wang still found it endearing enough. She invited her juniors to dinner, and the three took the elevator down.

Lucid, having reached middle school level mathematics, had gotten a new idea during class a few days ago and was now attempting a new type of magic. He found that the best thing to come out of this whole "prodigy" ordeal was that none of the teachers scolded him for not paying attention in class.

"Kyung-ho," Hee Yeon warned,"pay attention, sweetie."
"But plaster face...!"

Indeed, "plaster face" wasn't paying attention at all, but before Kyung-ho could point that out, Hee Yeon sighed and warned him again.

"Kyung-ho! You know better than you talk back to your elders, don't you?"
"Yes..." said the boy, his voice barely a whisper.
"I'll let it slide just this once, because I know you're usually a very good students who listens to what 
I say. But it's just this once! Next time I catch you doing something else, you'll have to be punished. Is that clear?"
"Yes..."

Hee Yeon knew that she was being rather unfair, but she pushed her guilt aside. Even during the slight commotion, Lucid appeared to have been lost in his own thoughts, but Hee Yeon was actually quite grateful for this. Though it had only carried on for a short while, the other children all rather enjoyed watching their teacher become increasingly flustered at Lucid's incessant questions. It had been something of a game for them, and they had grown to look forward to Lucid asking questions, going as far as to persuade him to do so.

Thankfully, however, Lucid's interest had shifted to self-study (or so Hee Yeon firmly believed, as she didn't want to think that he was disappointed in her lack of knowledge), meaning he now spent the majority of his time pondering to himself or reading books. This meant that Hee Yeon could finally relax, with no need to be on constant guard for potential questions, and it was also why she left Lucid be in class.

During break, Lucid left the classroom and made his way down to the courtyard, which he had been staring at for the better portion of class. As it was, Myeong-su, from the classroom next door, had also come out to play. As excited as ever, he ran and ran, determined to make the most out of the ten minute break between classes.

"Oh hey, plaster face!" he called. "Aren't you cold?"

While Myeong-su was wearing a thick jacket, Lucid was only wearing a T-shirt.

"Oh, yeah. I'm fine." Lucid grinned.

Day 5 – 2:11 PM – 4th Grade Building, Queens Row Elementary School, Queens Row Area A, Bacoor City, Cavite
Staff Sergeant Irene McCarran was currently in charge of supervising a certain area at the first floor of the building at the moment. The area consisted of three classrooms that were now filled with people. Even though it was filled with people, the atmosphere was more of a funeral.
Doctors came in and out to the classrooms while the other soldiers were maintaining the order of the people.
Inside the classrooms were the women and children that were saved from Dominador's faction. The families and relatives of the saved people were informed and were all invited here to check. Some of the people who came were happy that they finally received news about their missing relatives. However, after seeing the current state of the women and children, their happiness was doused with grief, anger and pity.
Those emotions were already the lightest as those people who did not find their missing relatives among the women and children frantically asked the soldiers. After knowing what happened to those who were missing, some fell on their knees on the spot as if their soul was taken out of their bodies. The stronger willed ones managed to go out of the classrooms before releasing their lament elsewhere. The worst case was the old mother whose youngest daughter was missing who went fell into cardiac arrest after knowing why her missing daughter was not among the saved women and children. These events caused more work for the doctors, nurses and medics.
Furthermore, that was not all. Some of the women and children received trauma because of the incident rendering their minds unstable. A few of the women could not be talked to and were only staring at nothing while some of the children were even afraid of being around their own fathers.
Unable endure the boiling feelings in her heart and mind, Irene stepped out of the classroom leaving her assistant to deal with her work for a bit. She had her own worries at the moment as she had just received the news from Captain Dela Rosa that his son who was her childhood friend had been bitten and turned into a Failed Mutator. Every time that it came to her mind, her eyes started to fog. It was obvious that she had lost her childhood friend forever.
As a soldier, it was expected for them to lose their close friends, comrades and even their own life in battle. Nevertheless, it would still hurt no matter how much they expected it. They were human that had feelings and not mechanical robots after all.
She walked on the hallway aimlessly, she saw Captain Dela Rosa whose complexion had gotten better. After he received that news about his son, his face paled because of his loss. His current countenance made Irene somewhat surprised. Captain Dela Rosa also saw her and with that, a happy smile was plastered in his face. The squad captain knew Irene since she was a child and she was very close to his son since childhood that they looked like siblings. He knew how much she felt after the news of what happened to his son was relayed to her.
Now however, they had hope for his son. Though he would not tell how or who would be able to save his son, Captain Dela Rosa could at least tell Irene that his son could be saved. At first, even though he begged Mark when he admitted that he could save the Boy that became a Failed Mutator, he was still a bit skeptical. That ultimately changed after he saw how the boy turned out after the boy went under Mark's hands.

Day 5 – 2:15 PM – Main Gates, Queens Row Elementary School, Queens Row Area A, Bacoor City, Cavite
A gray colored armored cash transport car entered the gates. The vehicle however, did not go towards the parking area but parked in front of the 5th grade building to the west side of the school that was being used as dwellings for the refugees. The doors opened and five armed men carrying guns and melee weapons went out of the vehicle.
When the back doors of the vehicle opened, several boxes of food and beverages could be seen lined up inside. Several refugees saw that but none of them tried to approach the vehicle. Though they seem to know these people, no one wanted to try and take advantage of these armed men.
One of the men separated from the others and went into one of the classrooms. The man was average in height and had a fair complexion. His face was rather good looking. He entered the classroom with a smile. After he entered however, his eyes dilated. There, the two people who he was going to look for, his brother and sister in law, was not in the classroom that they were supposed to stay in. Even their things were missing.
He hurriedly left the classroom and went towards another classroom on the second floor fearing that his girlfriend was not there either. To his relief, he found her eating a plain rice porridge that was rationed to the refugees. It was not surprising that she had not finished her food as she received it late. With the large number of refugees, not everyone could start eating at the same time.
Seeing his poor girlfriend eating some low quality food, the man broke into bitter smile as he entered the room. When he stepped into the classroom, the woman saw him immediately and cried out.
"Jason!"
The woman hurriedly stood up leaving her food on the floor and embraced the man.
"Grace, is everything alright?"
Jason asked his beloved girlfriend.
"It's fine. It's just there were some commotion earlier and you returned late, so I got worried."
"Sorry about that. We ran into some trouble."
Jason caressed the back of Grace.
"By the way, where are Big Brother and Sister-in-law?"
"They were taken in by the soldiers?"
Grace replied.
"Taken in?"
Jason could not help but frown.
Seeing that frown, Grace hurriedly explained.
"Don't think too much. It's like this. Big Brother said that several friends of his and yours came. It seemed that they have connections with the military. The female soldier that took them said that the living conditions here were too poor so they will be relocated to the military building."
Hearing that explanation made Jason feel relieved. He though that it as something dangerous.
"They left you here alone?"
"Ah, no."
Grace shook her head and continued.
"I told them that I'll stay to wait for you first because you might get worried if all of us suddenly disappeared from here."
That made Jason smile as he tightened his embrace with his girlfriend before releasing her.
"Want something better to eat?"
Jason asked which made Grace subconsciously nod.
From his backpack, Jason took out several cans of food. It might just be process food but it tasted way better than plain salted porridge rationed by the local government volunteers.
As the two ate, Jason asked.
"Did they mention who asked brother and sister-in-law to be relocated?"
"Yes. Your brother said that it was Mark and Rollan."
Hearing those names, Jason was surprised.

Day 5 – 2:14 PM – 6th Grade Building, Queens Row Elementary School, Queens Row Area A, Bacoor City, Cavite
Councilor Reynald Palabrica and Barangay Chairwoman Katherine Palabrica were talking after they had finished their lunch.
"Are we really leaving this place?"
Chairwoman Kat asked her husband.
"It's decided."
City Councilor Reynald nodded.
The councilor had just returned from his meeting with the military squad captain about half an hour ago. Since it was inappropriate to discuss these things over the meal, they had just started talking about what the result of the meeting was.
"According to the information they got from Madam Lanie's group that is currently residing in Citta Italia, there was a very large horde of infected that was likely to reach this place in a day or two at most. The numbers should be several thousands and there was no way for us to resist that number."
Captain Palabrica narrated with a stern face.
"What are the plans now?"
"Captain Dela Rosa asked us to gather enough vehicles and gasoline to transport the refugees as soon as possible. His men would also do the same. After another military squad that would arrive here this afternoon reached this place and we gathered enough vehicles, we would leave tomorrow morning in the earliest and tomorrow afternoon in the latest. After that, we will join up with the survivors and police with Madam Lanie in Citta Italia before continuing towards Bay City."
Chairwoman Kat frowned.
"Tomorrow…That early?"
"Yes, we can't delay since if that horde reaches this place before we could leave, we could only pray for our survival that time."

Day 5 – 2:16 PM – 4th Grade Building, Queens Row Elementary School, Queens Row Area A, Bacoor City, Cavite
Odelina had just entered the classroom with Abbygale and Laelaps garnering the attention of the people inside.
"Where are boss and Mei?"
Melissa could not help but ask as the two were not with the three who had just returned.
"Master is resting back there in the car. The young miss is taking care of Master."
Odelina replied. She then noticed that there were several unfamiliar people and children within the classroom.
"Who are they?"
Hearing Odelina's question, Charmaine answered.
"They are big brother's friends and classmates."
Charm was not unfamiliar with these people. They all attended the same school and it was Saime's house where they always spent their idle time after classes. The school at that time had fewer students and Mark's class that only had sixteen people in their fourth year stood out.
Right now, Carlo was even chatting with Saime's husband, Rodel. On the other side, Rollan and Nikky were sharing stories with Arvie and his wife.
Because of the new people in the classroom, it became a little noisier. Nevertheless, the atmosphere was good as if this place was detached from the outside that was filled with danger and death.

Day 5 – 5:30 PM – Fruto Santos Ave., Las Piñas, Metro Manila
The place was totally devoid of people and only the infected could be seen everywhere. On the road, vehicles that crashed into one another and unto the walls were common along with the blockage of abandoned vehicles.
STOMP! STOMP!
Loud steps could be heard that even the infected aimlessly wandering the area were alerted.
TAM! CRASH!
The loud steps stopped for a bit before a passenger van that was blocking the road suddenly flew two meters in the air and several meters away crashing unto more vehicles before stopping. The loud sound of the impact that pushed the van away and the crash was deafening.
There, the cause of the sudden crash was seen.
A monster that was even taller than a single story house. It looked like a human if not for the metal junk like shell covering its skin. The width of its body was about two meters with an oversized head like shaped like a frogs. Its mouth was too large that it probably made out one third of its body. Under the metal junk shell, its skin was very rough and had a lot of warts like a frogs but each wart was actually covered with metal. The color of its skin was reddish as if stating how much metal content it had in its body.
The huge infected walked around seemingly looking for something. Soon, it stopped by a makeshift house made out of metal roofing. It grabbed one of the rusted metal sheets from the wall of the house.
CREAK! CRUNCH!
The infected tore the metal sheet into half before shoving the torn metal sheet into its mouth. It repeated the same action over and over until it consumed all of the rusted metal sheets that composed the abandoned makeshift house.
It left the remains of the house and continued walking looking for something.
Without any reason, the infected monster looked far towards the south.
Mark woke up gasping and covered in cold sweat.


It was just a normal morning but it was unknown to many that the apocalypse already started.

The origin was not determined but the infected started to appear after a cosmic event happened just outside of the Earth’s atmosphere.

The people and animals turned into man-eating mutants and zombies while some of the lucky ones gained superhuman abilities. Every living creature that had not "turned" started to evolve as the whole world was affected by the Mutagen. 

Follow Mark, an Otaku, a Gamer and a Shut-in that got trapped in the middle of the apocalypse due to an uncanny reason. "Damn it, that brat sure is not afraid of the classroom rules. This is his third time being late already. He even got the nerve to be late even after he knows he will be punished soon? Well, lucky for him if he will be excused, but I don't think that will happen though", a boy told these words to the girl beside him. He is Briniel Naystugui, nicknamed Bren by his friends. He is probably the only friend Jay has made for the past one week in school. They became friends since they were seatmates, and Bren was a chatterbox, while Jay is more on the quiet side. Jay quickly became best friends with him because Jay sees him as a nice guy even though he is talkative.

"Well, it seems like from the first day of school, he always look tired and sleepy, so maybe that is the reason?" the girl besides Bren responded. She is Natalie Saya, a classmate of Jay since elementary and his friend.

"Maybe he is still asleep?" a boy behind them said then laughed. 

"Hey there Mark, haven't seen you before the morning ceremony, I thought you will be late", said Bren.

"Nah, I just barely made it in time".

Like Natalie, Mark Genesis Gamora is a friend and and an elementary classmate of Jay. Although among the three, even though Jay had known the other two longer, he still felt closer to Bren the past week.

They soon entered their classroom and wait for their first teacher. The first year classes are divided into three sections, section Aquarius, section Scorpio, and section Libra. Jay and the other three belong to the section Aquarius.

For Bren, he said it is his first time seeing a school with so many students, as according to him, he came from a school with fewer students students and only moved here in Rubando because his parents had a house here that needs to be taken care of.

After a few minutes the teacher entered the room. But behind the teacher, Bren saw Jay sneakily following their teacher, obviously trying to act like he was not late at all, which actually worked as Jay went and sat down on his chair besides Bren.

"You sure are lucky today", Bren said to Jay.

"Maybe? haha"

They didn't talk much as they prepared to listen to their lessons for the first period. Their teacher today is Mrs. Melissa Ran, a beautiful lady despite her age of 39.

As time passes, Bren felt bored. Their lesson is all about Values and Human Development. Even though Bren is focused on the teacher, he really felt bored. So he turned around to Jay to at least talk to him for a bit.

But when he turned to his right, he almost said the word 'F*ck' loudly from what he saw. Jay had his head resting on his right palm with eyes closed. He is actually dozing off!

Bren poked his shoulder with his pen to wake him up, which made Jay open his eyes.

"Is it our next period?" Jay asked after rubbing his tired eyes.

When Bren heard those words, he almost bit his tongue. Only a few minutes had passed and this boy was asking if their first subject was finished? Did he really felt he slept for a long time with that short span of time?

Jay Elra is just a youth who, due to the plays of fate, became someone different from ordinary people.

He had a past that changed him. He had the present time to make things better. Then there was his future, which is unknown.

The only question is, does everything matters to him? Can he change his future that the fate bestowed unto him?

Experiencing things that ordinary people can't, Jay continued the journey of his life together with his friends and family as he try to change his future for the better.

Elementary school students were carrying school bags, coming out one after another, waiting for their parents at the gate.
"Jiajia, don't go home so early today, alright? I'll take you to check out something nice."
A little boy tugged on the schoolbag of the little girl in front of him.
"What nice thing? But… My mother's waiting for me outside…" The little girl seemed like she wanted to go with him. She glanced at the school gate and stopped walking.
She saw her mother. Startled, the little boy pulled her to one side to hide from her.
The little boy said, "Let's go out through the back gate, shall we? The place I'm taking you to is near our school. It'll just take a few minutes and we'll go back to the main gate so you can tell your mother that you were staying in the classroom to clean up. That'll work, right? So are you coming?"
"Well…" The little girl was excited, looked at him hesitantly, and finally nodded. "Okay!"
The two were held hands and crouched down to avoid people seeing them as they ran sneakily down a certain path.
Mu Xiaoxiao's eyes turned about as she thought of something and she followed them quietly.
Because there were many people coming and going, the two elementary school students didn't notice her following at all.
There were also students at the back gate, but there were fewer of them.
The two elementary school students went out of the school successfully and walked down the street.
"It's just up ahead!"
After following them for a few minutes, Mu Xiaoxiao saw the two of them enter a store.
Looking up, it turned out to be a pet shop.
"Wow, it's so cute! It's so cute!" A little girl was heard exclaiming from inside the shop.
Mu Xiaoxiao stood at the door and looked at them both.
The two elementary school students were smiling cheerfully as they played with a snowy white Samoyed. The puppy looked very small, perhaps only one month old.
"I knew you would like it!" The little boy smiled delightedly.
Meow ~
Suddenly, there was a little voice.
Mu Xiaoxiao turned and her gaze fell upon a basket placed at the door.
Inside, there was a kitten that looked very cute and it was scratching the iron rod with its small paw. Enticed, Mu Xiaoxiao walked over and squatted in front of the kitten.
"Hello, are you alone?" she said to the kitten, her eyes suddenly turning red.
"Meow ~" The kitten seemed to be answering her.
Mu Xiaoxiao felt her eyes become wet and tears slipped down from the corner of her eye.
She wiped the tears at the corner of her eye with her finger. Her anxious heart was warmed because of this kitten. She placed her hand on the kitten, trying to hold its paw, but the kitten staggered, and fell back. It looked a little pitiful, but it was still extremely cute.
"Little kitty, if I find Yin Shaojie today, I'll take you home, okay?"
"Meow ~"
The kitten's eyes were black like pearls. This reminded her of Yin Shaojie's eyes.
Mu Xiaoxiao was only seeking solace because she was feeling very lost and needed something to guide her.
"Can you tell me where Yin Shaojie is?"
"Meow~. Meow~"
The kitten turned its head to the right and its small paws clawed at the ground.
"Over there? Are you sure?" Mu Xiaoxiao seemed to have seen a glimpse of hope.

The students in the classroom watch Wei Wei put down the chords paper.

"Forget it, Zhou Lin Na already like a professional piano player, not someone can match with a student. she has played her bomb, how can you play better than that."

"Elementary school level and professional level, can that compare?"

However, after Wei Wei started playing the piano, the melody of 'The Fight of the Bumblebees' was all around the music classroom, so enchanting and it was better than Zhou Lin Na's performance. They so shocked that little girl plays so well, the musical sheet is on the other side of the piano. Everyone can see her playing without glancing the music sheet, once.

In the crowd, a boy looking at the baby faced girl that was playing the piano with a serious expression. He was busy taking videos and photos with his cellphone.

"World is so big, before I thought Zhou Lin Na was already the goddess with magical hands when playing piano, but now she's playing it way better than Zhou Lin Na. Wei Wei is a monster, she said that she has never played this song, if you listen carefully, it will start to crush your heart, it's crazy right. No way it's her first time play this song"

At the other side of the video call, the voice of the young master Qing Lu was heard. "Can you close your mouth?"

Everyone can hear Gu Wei Wei play better than Zhou Lin Na, even for music teacher and the host they know Mu Wei play like a pro. It's completely shocking that their eyes will fall out. Zhou Lin Na smile disappeared after seeing Gu Wei Wei. Finally, the delicate face was angry and feels more hatred.

Gu Wei Wei was playing the last note and looked up and bow.

On the classroom , a few girls who studied piano with Zhou Lin Na stunned. Usually, because the teacher preferred Zhou Lin Na, they only succumbed to her sparring. Now that someone has finally stood up and crushed her, they are happy to see it.

"I counted the time. Her fastest hand speed played 16 note in one second."

 Not feel the day so quickly passed.  It has been seven days since the first day the introduction of the school environment began.  He said, today is the determination of each student's class.  Are you majoring in science or social sciences.  Initially I was doubtful that I could enter science major.  Can I go into science major even if I don't like lessons in this major?  The students here are smarter than me.  However, after further researching, the majority of children in my class chose social sciences instead of science major.  For a moment I can breathe freely.  The possibility for me to be able to enter science major is a little wider.

 I pray and hope to God to put me in a class with good people.  Hopefully there are no bad boys like in elementary and junior high school first.  I am tired of dealing with those who have selfishness and are only selfish.  Every working day they only pitted one another until finally one party did not accept and the fight began.  A familiar sight.

 The attendance list for the new class has been posted in the window of each class.  I rushed to the window and looked for my name.  My vision examines every name on the sheet of paper.  I looked for the N alphabet in it and found my name, Nataniel was there.  My classroom turned out to be the same as the introduction room, which was in room X-6.  So, I don't need to move to another class.  I re-entered the classroom and occupied my seat.  Not long after, Avie came to get his bag on the bench where he sat.  She embraced her bag and hurried out of the classroom.  Looks like she is not the same class as me.  I didn't see Avie's name on the roll call.  It's just that I was in the same class as the guy who made out in the hall during the introduction yesterday, his name was Heru.

 "Which class are you in, Vie?"  I asked politely.

 "X-2. You didn't move class?"

 "Yes, this is my class, X-3."

 "All right. See you later."  The figure disappeared after passing the brown painted door by embracing one arm of her bag.

 It didn't take much time, people flocked to my class after knowing that his name was in this class.  I took my bag and moved to the back of the class.  I sat in the back corner of the class.  Silence and pondering are my habits.  I have no friends now.

 After everyone has entered the classroom, I researched everyone who was here.  In the middle of the class, Heru is sitting with her male friend.  As usual, he looks handsome and cool.  After that, I looked the other way.  There is nothing I know besides Heru, I mean that I have never seen anything but Heru's face.  All are new people.

 Wait a minute, that person, I seem to know.  Immediately I approached the woman who was playing with a cellphone and listening to music through earphones attached to her ear.

"Pinkan?"  The woman realized that her name was being called to me.  She put her cellphone on the table and removed his earphones.

 "You, Nataniel? Well, I didn't expect you to be here, in the same class again."

Pinkan is someone who attends the same school as me. Maybe, we can't be called friends because we never talked to each other before.  And today is my first day interacting with her after several years.

 I took a stool and moved it to the side of Pinkan's seat.  I started a chat about memories of old times.  I still remember when we were in 6th grade, Pinkan screamed in fear because she was pelted with cockroaches on her body.  And I still remember that Pinkan wasn't entirely scared, she was happy because the person who threw the cockroach was her own boyfriend.  A badboy who bully.  I wonder what Pinkan thought to be able to like people like that.  The two of them even had an affair or rather dating at the 6th grade of elementary school.  However, they both broke up after 2 days in a relationship.  I laughed remembering that incident.

 After a long time talking, I saw a woman sitting next to Pinkan.  That woman looks like a quiet person, like me.  I asked Pinkan what was the name of the person sitting with her.  Pinkan told me that the name of the woman next to her was Anne.  I started a small talk with Anne just looking for friends.  I asked her like an interviewer.  Starting from what her name was, where Anne lived, with what Anne went to school, and how old she was.  Anne answered shyly.

 I didn't hear Pinkan's voice at all.  When I looked, she returned to playing her cellphone and rocked back and forth to enjoy her favorite music.  I glanced at the screen of his cellphone, and waw, Pinkan was reading a synopsis of the film on one of the websites on google.  It turns out that Pinkan also likes adult films just like me.

 "Reading the synopsis of the film, do you want to watch Neighbors? I've watched it. The flow of the film is good and funny. But, the bed scenes are not too good because the men are not too handsome."  Pinkan who heard my babble seemed interested.  It turns out that not only I like movies with adult ratings, my friends also like.  Only this time I have someone who has the same hobby as me.

 We chatted for a long time about various films in the world and occasionally laughed merrily.  Anne, who had been silent, began to wonder about our discussion. Anne patted my shoulder slowly
