Hello! My names Ippa but my superhero name is... Blue Torch. Yeah its not that cool, a lot of people call me the weakest superhero ever. But I try to stay strong.
My bestfriend, Hakeru is also a superhero her name is Gods Sword. You might have heard of her. She's one of the most famous superheroes! I know right! I'm friends with one of the most famous superheroes! She trains me on weekends when she's not saving anyone. Well enough intro lets get started!

, Champion what are you doing, hurry up, Eagle Eye is waiting for us."
Nick turned around first thinking that someone is calling him. I think I heard somewhere that he was some kind of regional champion in high school, but after that, he didn't have any success in competing. As soon as he turned around he realized that the thunderous voice was talking to me. He quickly mumbled something to me like goodbye or see you tomorrow and left like he was on a sprinting track. 
No wonder he ran away, the person across the street smiled knowingly at me and said again. 
, Let's go Champion, time is ticking."
The person across the street was tall as Nick, but he was burly as an oak. He had brown hair and had a constant smile on his face. Best thing of all he was wearing a police uniform. If you didn't know him, seeing big burly police officer smiling at you, the only thing you could think was that you did something bad, even if you didn't.
, Ha ha ha Superhero" I answered to him as I was crossing the street,, you didn't need to come directly at school, you could have waited at Eagle Eye's."
, Nevermind" he said as we shook hands and hugged,, I was in a neighborhood, let's go, we have a lot to discuss, but a little time."
As we were going home we were talking about jobs and families. The game talk was going to wait until we arrived at Eagle Eye house. Superhero and Eagle Eye were, of course, the rest two-thirds of The Nerdy Trio. Of course, those were not their real names. Superhero and Eagle Eye were just nicknames, like mine was Champion, but only three of us used those nicknames for each other.
Their real names are Wolf and Marco. The nicknames came from constant visiting each other's homes since we were young, our parents were friends so it was natural that three of us became friends as well.
My nickname came from my name. How, do you ask? Well funny enough my parents are great sports fanatics, so because they hoped I would be sportsman gave me champions name. Two hundred or so years ago there was one champion with that name, so after him, many parents gave their children the same name. As you can imagine after almost two centuries there were thousands of champions with the name Novak. Too bad I wasn't one of them. At least my parents didn't push me towards sport when they saw I had other interests. Well, grandpa made sure of that. But since my little sister has great athletic abilities I guess not all is lost for mom and dad.
Since half of Wolfs family is in law and order business, you could think that is how we gave him a nickname Superhero. But you would be wrong. When he was little he found a huge comic book collection that one of his ancestors left behind. Since that day he got hooked up, and two of as almost with him, and he dreamed about being a superhero. When he learned that is impossible he turned to the next best thing and became a policeman. 
Marco's nickname was relatively not that dramatic in making. He has the best sight ever and his eyes can see far, far away. Hence Eagle Eye. Why did he then also became one of the Nerdy Trio? In some sense, he is the biggest nerd of all of us. When he wasn't with the two of us he had his camera and notebook and was taking pictures with one and made drawings with other. It was easy then for the rest of the class in both of our junior and middle schools to call us The Nerdy Trio.
After a quick ride in the metro, metro and trains besides airplanes are the most commonly used transport vehicles now, we made it to our neighborhood. We live in a suburban part of the city as most people, only the richest remained in city centers, and there are still some people who still live poor lives mainly because all manual jobs are now done by robots, or they don't want to try hard enough.
Our neighborhood is one of the rarer ones where there are still houses left, most of the cities are now full of high buildings and big skyscrapers. Most of the families here are old families, even our great grand grandfathers and grandmothers lived here. Since then families had an agreement not to sell land here and like that this neighborhood stayed the same as hundreds of years ago.
Slowly we made it to Marco's house. Usually, we hang out at his home because it was big and spacious and his parents were mostly out. They owned a gallery in a city, from there probably came Marco's passion for arts. My house was not as big and Wolf's house was always full of people, he has three older brothers and some of them have children already, so Marco's house was always open for us.
Marco was waiting for us in a courtyard, almost every house had one and all were pretty big, he was as usually painting something. When he heard us enter through the gates he put away his painting kit and made his way to us. He was the smallest of us, maybe 1.70 m high, with short blonde hair and was handsome and very well built for his size. 
He was always popular with girls but never paid any attention to them. But when he entered art college he met a girl that he liked and they got together soon enough. She is a pretty girl and has the same love for art as he does, so it happened naturally. She is traveling the world now and they talk over the communication devices almost every day. As for me and Wolf, well, girls were always afraid of Wolf even though he is one of the nicest guys around, and I was always afraid of them. There you have it, that is the reason why two of us never had a girlfriend.
, Finally guys, you are here", said Marco as we bumped fists,, let us sit in the garden and start our conquering of the gaming world."
Wolf and I looked at each other, smiled and started laughing out loud, with Marco joining us right away. Even if he looked a little timid and uninterested in some things Marco was also very competitive. 
, Haha let's go, let's go" Wolf said as we sat in a garden,, come on Champion, you are an expert tell us what are we going to do."
, Well I am an expert, as you say, but in history and mythology, so I may not be well versed in the game itself." We never played any virtual reality games, not because we didn't want to but because our parents didn't allow us. They thought that as soon we start playing a game we would neglect our studies. I think that maybe they were right. Instead, they said when you earn your own money you can play as much as you want. So after ten long years, we finally have an opportunity to play virtual reality game together.
, But let start anyways. You probably tried to find something about the game as me but as you know there is very little information about the game on official site and different forums dedicated to Age of Gods. When I say little it means almost non-existent. The only thing it says is gods will guide you and something like that. What I can affirm from this is that we need to rely on ourselves for almost everything. Even in mythology mortals had to first earn recognition from gods and only then they would have some kind of help from them, but even then it would be really small."
 , What should we do then?" asked Wolf.
, We should think of this game like any else at first. Every game is similar at the beginning. First of all starting place, one of the things game officials did specify is that player starts in a region he originally resides. So for us, that is Europe or if they are more specific Balkans. What we already know is a possibility of not starting in the same village, but we can later find each other in a bigger city, and until then talk through friends chat. After that, we have character creation. Since we know that the game is based on Earth the only race is human, so that leaves us with customization of a character."
, And choosing classes" added Marco,, I am probably choosing hunter." 
, Yeah, I am going for a warrior" said Wolf,, what about you Novak?"
, I am not too sure about that."
, About what?" both of them said in unison.
, Choosing classes before entering the game directly. I presume that we will choose classes in the game, otherwise, they would have said something beforehand."
, Makes sense'' said Marco,, how is it going to work?"
, Not sure, but that is also an interesting part of the game."
, I am still going to be a warrior" said Wolf as a matter of fact.
Both Marco and I laughed. Even if gods forbade him he would still become a warrior, I thought. 
, So that is everything and nothing in the nutshell. Those guys from Universal Gaming didn't give us much to discuss." Universal Gaming is a company which made and released Age of Gods. They were the most known and successful company in the gaming industry.
, Well, for anything that happens to us in beginner villages we should try and help each other until we arrive in a bigger city." 
, We forgot one crucial thing." said Wolf
What did we forget I asked myself, and saw that Marco also has no idea about that?
, Names" shouted Wolf,, if we want to be famous we need cool names."
, And I thought you were hungry" said Marco half-jokingly,, I will use Eagle Eye, I am used to it when you two call me like that and I think it is cool enough." 
, Well for you that is okay, but what about two of us. I certainly won't name myself Champion it is too embarrassing. What about you Wolf, don't tell me you are okay with Superhero. Who knows how many superheroes will be in a game."
, Not as many as champions I am certain of that. I will be called Superwolf, I thought about this name for ten years, no one will take that from me. What about you? Champion of History?"
Just as I thought that his name is not that bad actually, he had to ruin it. 
, Only in your dreams, with that name, I will be branded as an eternal nerd, no way in hell."
, What then?" both of them asked at the same time.
, I haven't given much thought about it actually."
, Both of us have animals name, why don't you made something up also?" said Marco
, Yeah, something like Wise Raven. " blurted out Wolf like he already waited for an opportunity.
, Not bad I like it, you are a smart guy and you also have black hair, it suits you. " said Marco
, You two already talked about this didn't you?" I asked but I knew the answer before they even started laughing like a madman. , Fine, fine I accept." I knew they wouldn't take no for an answer, so I gave up, the name wasn't that bad and honestly, I didn't want all their effort to go in vain, they tried to make names that go together.
As we said goodbye to each other at the gates of Marco's home and started going to our own Wolf shouted,, 24:00 hours sharp, do not be late!" 
We all smiled and thought, finally it's time.

A journey through the world where gods still rule and humans still fear them. A world in which history professor can finally be a part of it. A world of which he only heard stories of, when he was a child, and could only imagine it. Can this still be called a game, or is it a totally new(old) world?
The cover is not mine, I found it at some site about Slavic mythology and thought that it looked nice and badass.

Guys, I will certainly not drop this novel. I was busy these past months whether with college or with finding a job. I am still trying to balance everything and AOG had to suffer because of that. I hope that I will continue with my writing in a couple of months.

*haha*"Son you need to get out of bed its time for your first day of school!"

"I SAID IM NOT GOING"

"You have to go to school. how else are you going to make friends and learn?"

"I don't need to make friends with a bunch of little kids! and there is nothing to learn! its KINDERGARTEN!"

*HAHA* "You are only 5 yourself, what do you mean little kids? And you better get up now before your mother goes up to get you down! She had a long night after the amount of damage the villain did last night to the bystanders. She stayed up all night healing the innocent and she is not in a good mood!"

Sprinting down the stairs in record speed I arrive in front of my dad with my backpack on ready for my first day of school!

"Why didn't you say so before? I can't wait to go to school and learn all about... shapes... and animals?... and whatever else they teach kids in kindergarten. On top of that think of all the friends, I will make with kids who might still pee themselves at night! I can't wait!"

My father noticing the sarcasm rolling off my tongue like waives decide to ignore it and usher me to the door and into our black Mercedes.

30 minutes later we pull up in front of your typical elementary school with the name "Little Legends Elementary School" written in stone letters across the front of the building. Still sitting in the car I can see all of the other children with their parents as they hug, smile, and wave their children into school. Some are crying and I can only assume that they are parents of other kindergartners on their way to their first day of school ever. As I and my father get out of the car I give him a hug and head into the building. Knowing this day was coming I already knew what class and where it was located before I came so I head straight to class and get ready for the next 8 hours of my life... *sigh* this is going to be a long day. 

-Jason Braveheart POV (Davids dad) - 

As I watch my son head off for his first day of school I can't help but shed a tear as I thinking about the fact my little hatchling is heading off into this dangerous world for the first time. looking over I see some other parents in a group talking about their own kids heading off for kindergarten, feeling this would be a good opportunity I head over to them to join in the conversations?

"They grow up so fast don't they?"(Jason)

"They really do is your kid also heading into kindergarten?"(random parent 1)

*haha* "Yeah this is his first day, he did not want to go at all"(Jason)

"Ohh I know the feeling, it was so hard getting Shane out of bed this morning! the only thing that convinced him was the fact I would be dropping off his friend chad and that they are in the same class" (random parent 2)

*HA*"well hopefully our kids are in the same class! My needs to make some friends, it seems all he cares about is training!"(Jason)

"yeah, that would be nice! where is your boy? Can you point him out?"(spouse of parent 2)

*points* "that one there is my boy, oh how they grow so fast"*tear*

"... You said your sons in kindergarten, right? Are you sure he isn't a 5th grader? how old is he anyway?" (parent 4)

"Yeah, he's only 5 and this is his first day to kindergarten. Why do you ask?"

-Davids POV -

Walking into my classroom I look around and see what amounts to the typical kindergarten classroom. There is the alphabet running along each wall, different colored shapes with their names on the walls sporadically. A whiteboard with the name "Mrs.Thomas" written on it. Desks shaped like a circle in the middle of the room, off to the side and in a corner is a play area with different toys, blocks, and coloring books. By the entrance are hooks with everyone in the class names on them for jackets and backpacks, while under those are cubies for storing shoes and other personal belongings.

Standing in the middle of the circle of desks is a middle-aged African American women with a big smile on her face. she seems to be talking to different students as she waits for everyone to get to class. looking at the desks I find a few empty ones by two boys who are talking to each other rather animatedly. One of them has blue eyes and hair that is almost black. He is wearing dark clothing and is rather tall for his age. He isn't as tall as me, but let's be honest there is probably only a handful of 5-year-olds on this planet who are as tall as me. The other one has blonde hair and blue eyes, he seems rather shy as he is looking around to see if anyone is paying attention to them while his cheeks blush from embarrassment, but that doesn't stop him from arguing with his friend.  I am unable to hear their conversation until I get closer when I finally approach close enough to hear their conversation my interest is instantly peaked.

"No my training is much harder I have to fight my sister every day! and she is already in the 2nd grade! Plus my grandfather is always making us do crazy training! with weights and stuff!"(dark hair one)

"well uh, my mom and dad make me train really hard too, because if I want to be a superhero like them then I have to be really, really strong."(blonde hair one)

"oh, are you guys training to be superheroes too! that's cool, but I want to let you know that I'm going to be THE GREATEST HERO EVER!"(David)

*HA* "In your dreams! my grandpa is captain starlight! and he said that whoever wins between me and my sister get to take captain starlight as their hero name!"(dark hair one)

"YOUR GRANDPA IS CAPTAIN STARLIGHT!?!? That's so cool!... Oh yeah, what are your names?"

"My names Shane Desoto, but you might as well call me captain starlight."

"... my names Chad Taylors, nice to meet you"

"Well my name is David D. Braveheart, and before you ask, yes the D does stand for danger!"

"... I don't think either of us was going to ask, but nice to meet you."(chad)

"I heard you guys talking about training earlier, well this is what I do every day for my training..."

I go on to describe my daily training regime to them including the new weapons training which takes the place of the daily "durability" training making it only every other day training with weapons training taking up the days between. When it comes to weapons training it's pretty simple really, my dad throws me in the pit with the robots that represent different power levels of villains and has me fight wave after wave of progressively harder robots until I'm beaten into a pulp! It's really effective, I promise and it only hurts a lot! :) 

Hearing what I go through on a daily basis both of them look horrified for some reason? Shrugging I keep talking to them about superheroes and training all day barely paying attention to the teacher. I feel a little bad for the teacher, Chad, and Shane but both of them are smart and I'm sure they already know how to read so they don't need to learn the alphabet. 

This common goal of being superheroes and the struggle of our training leads to a great friendship where we would spend all day talking then during recess we would go and train together, well mostly me training them helping them get better at fighting and putting on muscle. After school, we would watch the superhero tv channel together learning about how different super teams work together. Everything was going great with all of us being best friends. Until one day halfway through the year, neither one came to school. thinking they were sick I didn't think anything of it. until the next day in class Mrs. Thomas came and told the class that both Shane and Chad had moved out of state and that they wouldn't be coming back. 

that was the last time I saw those two idiots for a long time. But I didn't worry because I had a feeling in my gut that I would meet both of those dults one day in the future, and when I do I'm going to beat the shit out of both of them for not saying bye. Assholes.

I was your regular, everyday guy until i died *sigh* tragic, i know. But all is not lost because with every closed door comes a open window ... or something i'm not really sure how that saying goes. Anyways that's not the point, the point is after i died i met god. Yeah that god the one on the clouds with the long beard, and the white hair who can talk through burning bushes and has a list of rules to live by or you will go to hell, yeah that guy. Well it seems he messed up and i died because of it and long story short he is letting me choose which world i will reincarnate into and give me a few wishes to help my life along. So follow me as i go into the world of Super Powereds to make friends, find love, and kick ass ... hopefully.

Every young boys dream to become a sidekick to a famous superhero but how would you feel if you worked with your parent. He ran across the buildings with his mom then a huge bang happened near a bank the young boy and the hero jumped from each building until they got on top of the bank "mom it's a bank Robbery," Tommy said looking through a ceiling window "look Tommy remember when were in there don't call me mom I don't want your life in danger," Katie said worried she wanted to protect Tommy not hurt him "ok mo- I mean calamity and m- calamity my sidekick name shall be hmm brain," Tommy said smiling Katie laughed "hey why are you laughing I'm super smart," Tommy said while crossing his arm in anger Katie, successfully stopped herself from laughing she didn't want to break his confidence she nodded and immediately jumped threw the window crushing the floor below. Everyone was shocked and happy at the same time Katie, looked around her and saw 2 of the villain goons she saw another pair of two and Tommy, understood Katie went towards her pair she shielded herself she used her powers to create a electric shield to shield her from the bullets. She charges her hand and pulls down her shield she rushes in running as fast as she could then something weird happened everything around her started to slow down she looked around worried and scared and everything she ran to Tommy, to make sure he was experiencing the same thing but unfortunately he was slowed down too she then noticed a strike that could eventually harm him so she created a theory and had put it to work. To surprise it worked she then recharged her hand to see if it could fasten time and it worked everything that was slow was slowly moving faster she then charged her hand but this time with ice she jumped into the air and thought of a special move and a name "I got it now special move style element ice style 1 ice curse," Katie said as she throws two ice balls at there chest and as soon as that happens there entire body in engulfed in ice freezing everything she staggered from the amount of energy and strength it used she turned around to see how Tommy's doing and to her surprise he was doing pretty good Katie, saw how he took out one of them she saw how he kept on doing punches left and right but of course he got hit a few times the last time he got hit it landed him on the floor immobilized it signaled Katie to stop it so she zapped the goon which immediately ran through his body hitting the wall Katie, realized she made a mistake she accidentally killed him then the goons boss comes out attacking Katie left and right. She remembered her powers aren't good at close combat so for her escape she used fire and ice to create a steam which she then threw in the villains eyes burning them of vision for merely 10 seconds but that was all the time Katie needed to charge a electric bomb she threw it immediately knocking him out instantly some police came in handcuffing the goons one of the police noticed one of the goons death he instantly noticed the burn mark and was about to arrest Katie but another officer stopped the officer "don't arrest her she may have killed a goon but he deserved it today I found a child's body in the bathroom he must have saw the bastards get ready but instead of just threatening or using the memory manipulation drug they had cut and almost killed the child, the poor boys throat had been cut and his stomach down to his part were cut he is in intensive care," the officer said both of them then left Tommy ran to Katie happily he hugged Katie tightly smiling. After that some reporters came moments later a mic was in Katie's face "so miss calamity will you be visiting the child in the hospital after all he did get hurt during this robbery," one reporter said "yes I will and I will make sure I can do what I can to help," Katie said "miss calamity what's with the color change," another reporter said "I was getting sick and tired of red so I'm choosing a new color black and blue," Katie said she started getting annoyed after hours of questions she really needed to get home to her son who is being babysat by her dad "miss calamity I thought you weren't interested in sidekicks," "he's a.... special case," Katie said smiling although Tommy was kinda hurt but he knew his mother meant well but is just being a meany a few minutes later Tommy realized something the mic that was at his mothers face turned towards his face "so young sidekick what is your name," a reporter said "oh my name is.. oh.. umm... aaahh..... Got it... it's Silo," Tommy said Katie in her head smacked her face she looked at him boy you know that's going to stick she thought.

Hi my name is Katie levin at least that’s my totally normal people name my superhero name is mistress of calamity ya it’s really long but most people ok not most all people just call me calamity because of my superpowers is fire and ice I know it’s like that supercool anime but it’s also not like it my superpowers can cause...massive destruction if not careful I only use it at 1 percent now your probably wondering how the actual frick did I get my superpowers well you see there were these special rock things that flew out of the sky hundreds of years ago my family was the first to get powers when scientists tested on powered people they were frightened they thought it wasn’t hereditary and it would weaken over time but were they wrong my ancestors powers used to be fire and water now it’s ice and fire because of how strong it’s become now ever since that happened there’s been superhero licensing sorta like that anime again but also unlike it it’s optional most superhero’s don’t want there info out to the public eye so they don’t use the school license but as superhero came to be supervillains also came to be the thing I know is that this worlds gotten dangerous since powers risen and normal people declining

And so the dwarven kingdom of Naphelia was now a part of the empire. The dwarven women and children were kept hidden away during the battle, but they were easily found after a week. They were put to work in the mines. I was thrilled that they could become a part of the Queen's Empire. 
The kingdom was run by the dwarven king's heir, but only as a puppet to the Queen. He was very much a coward. We found him hiding in a corner while his men died in battle. At least, the dwarven soldiers were honorable in following a cause, albeit the wrong one. 
The blueprints for the bronze giants, electric crossbows, and other machines were found and studied by the Queen's greatest minds. They were mass produced using the machines that the dwarves had. Soon, using electric crossbows were standard. Every roach was equipped with a sword and electric crossbow. Our engineers even improved their design by making them far more accurate. 
Bronze giants replaced the need for trolls which were easily decimated during the siege. Trolls were kept as either extra manual labor or food for the soldiers. Troll meat actually tasted pretty good, and lasted longer than usual. Troll meat and bread was the usual meal for roaches. 
As for me, I surprisingly became something of an icon. When they saw me and the other two drag the dwarven king out, they thought that we instilled the fear of the Queen in him. Although, I never really felt that way. I just felt like an ordinary roach like any other. I was convinced that anybody else would have done the same as me. And I'd rather believe that the king was afraid of the Queen's full might rather than just myself and two others. 
I was sent out to join a squad of roaches. I felt a bond between the other roaches. I began to see them all as brothers and sisters in battle. I made a couple of friends with some of the roaches who remained with me. 
The first two I had already met during the siege of Naphelia. The spear roach and lady roach. 
However, like Brother, they also gave themselves names. 
The roach that carried a spear called himself Doc since he was also adept at medicine. Doc was the one who named the others. 
Hornet was the name of the lady roach. She carried two crossbows by her hips. One was the outdated version that used arrows. The other was the new electric crossbow. She also carried a small sword on her back, but barely used it. She preferred to stay back. But I have learned that it wasn't because she was a coward. She was very good at killing creatures from a distance, but when it comes to fighting in front, she was quite weak. 
I also met up with some others. There was Viking who was large and bulky. He carried around a giant axe. I remembered him fighting against that many-armed, bronze creature that stood guard outside of the dwarven throne room. He was kind and quiet. However, once battle started, his entire personality changed. He quickly became angry and his destructive power got him far. 
Lastly, there was Cutter. He was always brooding and quiet. He was faster than any one of us. He could run in circles around us. He liked to use knives. He rarely threw them unless it was necessary. He felt a passion for getting close up to people and stabbing them in battle. 
And while we were all on the same team, Doc tried to come up with a name for me, too. He reminded me a lot like Brother. And just like Brother, Doc was insistent. He came up with names such as Bravery or Honor, considering I was the one who didn't take any steps back from the spider. He also suggested Average, since I wasn't particularly excellent in any one thing. One time, he called me Humble after I told another roach that I wasn't anybody special for capturing the king, alive. In the end, I didn't like any of those kind of names. 
When Doc was about to give up, he said, "Fine. I can't really think of anything else. I'll just call you a roach." 
"Roach?" I said, "That could work actually. Roach." 
And so, I was given my name. Just plain Roach. Nothing special about it, but it defined exactly who I was. A single roach among trillions for the Queen's army. 
As for leadership in our battalion, we simply followed the Queen's orders. 
Every battle after the siege was quite boring in comparison. We were sent out to maintain the peace. Occasionally we had to put down a revolt or two. We marched carrying our electric crossbows rather than our blades. It was much easier and deadlier than the blade. All they needed was a little pack of lava to run. We carried some strapped to our sides. 
For example, during one of the revolts, the peasant took up arms with old swords. The moment we arrived, we just started shooting lightning at them as they charged at us. Those cries for revolution turned to screams. I didn't understand why these creatures would try to go against the Queen. They were alive and given purpose. They provided much needed supplies for the empire. Everybody had a purpose. Nobody was left out. It was paradise inside the empire. And chaos outside. 
However, our squad would soon be sent out to join a battalion to fight against another outside faction.

A mere soldier. A roach in the army of the Queen. Sent out on the front lines of every battle for the Queen's glory and power.

A few minutes after the system's revelation, Skye read the description of the small glass bottle that had a crimson liquid within it, in his hand.

Still a bit dazed, he asked the system a question. "...system, am I really in the Marvel Universe?"

System: [Yes. You have died in your previous world and was reborn in this world which also happens to be in the Marvel Universe.]

Hearing the system's words, Skye gulped loudly. "So I'm really in Marvel huh...then system, where did you come from?"

System: [I am created by the true 'creator' of the omniverse.]

Omniverse... isn't that beyond a Multiverse?

'Creator of the omniverse...?' hearing that term, Skye couldn't fathom the degree of the magnificence of such an existence.

He then shook his head as he removed those thoughts. "So why were you given to me?"

System: [The creator pitied your tragic fate, therefore, the creator wanted to make it up to you by giving you the Supreme System, me, while also being allowed to be 'reborn' in this universe.]

Hmm, reborn in this universe huh...

At that moment, some famous names in Marvel that he knew of popped up in his head.

The Avengers.

S.H.I.E.L.D.

The Defenders.

Guardians of the Galaxy.

Asgard and Olympus.

And finally, Mr. Endgame himself, Thanos.

"Wow, will I meet Captain America, Iron Man, and the others?!" thinking of the Avengers, Skye couldn't help but look forward to meeting them in the future.

However, right after thinking of meeting the superheroes of MCU, he also remembered the powerful villains in this universe.

Red Skull, Ultron, Loki, Dormammu, Thanos...

Thinking of these beings, Skye took in a deep breath before laughing loudly. 

'With the Supreme System, although they are impossibly strong, it's not impossible to defeat them!'

As he thought this, Skye asked the system. "System, how do you work? What are your functions?"

System: [By killing beings in this universe, you will absorb their 'essence' which in turn will level you up, once the required quantity has been reached. By leveling up, all attributes, everything about you, your very existence itself, will improve and evolve, albeit slightly. There are other functions that are still unavailable to you since your level is too low, hence the only functions that are available are: • Missions Functions, • System Shop, and • Status Page.]

Skye was silent for a few moments before asking. "System, is there no welcoming gift or a beginner pack for me since I just came to this world? After all, I'm at a disadvantage against the strong characters in this world..."

However, at his heart, he thought. 'But... in this world, I don't think anyone has more combat experience than me... well probably there are one or two that are on par with me.'

As if reading his mind, the System replied: [The host is correct. If the normal humans of this world can be evaluated as 'F' rank, then the host's battle experience and combat prowess should be at the peak of this world, at 'S+'.]

Skye nodded his head, agreeing with the system's evaluation of him.

Although arrogant, it was simply the truth.

After being refined and cleansed by countless battles, wars, and assassinations, Skye's combat prowess has been polished and refined to the utmost and extreme levels!

This was also the reason why he was able to kill the three thugs that had killed the previous owner of his current body.

His micro-control of every inch of his body was simply too outstanding despite possessing his new body only for a short while.

"Hmm, speaking of which, I don't know anything about this body's li—" Skye couldn't even finish his words before pain came rushing like a tidal wave into his mind.

His hands tightly gripping his head, Skye knelt down on both knees as his body subconsciously trembled, yet, not one bit of scream or cry escaped his lips.

At that moment, memories from childhood up till the death of his body's previous owner, all of them charged towards his brain, relentlessly.

Amidst the excruciating pain, mumblings could be heard from Skye.

"Mother and Father are dead...the Hand!" growled Skye when he saw the memories of his body's former owner. He pieced together the information that 'he' had gathered when 'he' was still alive.

Skye 'saw' the previous owner's actions. He saw how 'he' investigated his parent's death, he saw how 'he' examined every possible clue and evidence available to him, he saw how 'he' even used underground connections to find the faintest of trails.

And finally, Skye 'saw' a revelation.

As more memories came rushing to him, he laughed. "So it wasn't those useless thugs that reduced this body's former owner to the verge of his death, it was those damned ninjas."

Skye laughed coldly as he 'saw' from the fragments of memories, the dark-garbed ninjas chasing him relentlessly as injuries upon injuries piled on his body.

And finally, after who knew how long of escaping, after losing the ninjas' track, 'he' ended up in the same gloomy alley where those already dead thugs, had finished 'him' off.

'Oh pitiful one, do not worry and enter the cycle of reincarnation with peace and tranquility. Now that I have inherited your body and memories, now that I've become you, I shall exact revenge on your behalf. I will destroy the Hand.'

'In my previous life, I had no name. They simply called me Zero. And now, I have a name. I am Skye Hunt.

At that moment, it was as if a huge burden has been lifted off his body's shoulder, as a sense of relief came over him.

It was as if the previous soul of his body had passed onto him his wishes and desire.

'He' had given Skye everything that 'he' had left, and now 'his' soul can finally enter the cycle of life and death.

At that moment, after Skye uttered his words, he had completely assimilated himself in this world.

A few minutes later, Skye stood up and straightened his body. He opened the lid of the Body Strengthening Serum and drank it without hesitation.

And a few seconds later, Skye felt a warm current flowing throughout his body, from his up his head down to the soles of his feet.

[Ding! The Body Strengthening Serum has been consumed!]

[Strength +1, Physique +1, Energy +0.5.]

[Strength +1, Physique +1, Energy +0.5.]

[Strength +1, Physique +1, Energy +0.5.]

[Strength +1, Physique +1, Energy +0.5.]

[Strength +1, Physique +1, Ener...]

[Strength +1, Phy...]

[Stre...]

[...]

At this moment, in this unknown dark alley, the body of a young man was slowly but steadily approaching the boundaries of a normal human; this 'boundary' also served as an entrance, an entrance towards an evolution. An evolution to becoming a superhuman.

"Huuu..." Skye exhaled a deep breath as he felt the changes and improvement on his body.

Clenching his fist, Skye felt reinvigorated as he roared to the skies

"Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!"

Feeling the power surging within him, Skye laughed loudly. "I can only say thank you, creator of the omniverse! Now that you've given me a second chance at life, I shall walk my own path, unhindered and unfettered!"

Just as Skye was enjoying his newfound sense of life and freedom, a system announcement made him froze up, as if pouring a bucket of cold water over him.

[Ding! The Path to a Superhero or a Supervillain is now open! Once you choose a path, you can then receive a beginner's starter pack!]

[The host is required to choose a Path from the two paths. Please choose a path!]

Skye: "..."

Gritting his teeth, he replied with a cold face. "No!"

System: [The Superhero Path or the Supervillain Path. Please choose a Path!]

Skye refused: "I don't want to choose a path."

Although he didn't know much about the Marvel Universe, Skye knew enough that both paths are paths full of thorns.

The path of a Superhero. Skye knew that if he picked this path, his growth might be faster than normal, but restraints will be placed upon him, serving as shackles of restrictions.

Although noble, Skye knew the disadvantages of pursuing this path.

And as for the Supervillain's path, he didn't even think twice before denying it.

'I had already lived a life of a legendary killer, ruthless and merciless, such a life...although my growth will be insanely fast, way faster than the path of a superhero, I've had enough of living such life. Not to mention the disadvantages and difficulties of picking that path.'

Remaining quiet for a while, Skye then asked the system. "I am not picking either one of the paths. I've been given a second chance on life, I will live however I want to."

System: [...]

"I may be later labeled as a hero or maybe even a demon, but I wouldn't care. It is the path that I've chosen so I won't forsake it."

Looking up at the blue sky, Skye felt that it seemed livelier and more colorful than the sky in his previous life.

"Supreme System," he called out.

[Yes, my host?]

"You are created by the creator who could be said to be omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient. I will not walk the path of a Superhero or a Supervillain."

As those words escaped his lips, Skye paused for a moment before he declared. "My Own Path! Supreme System, I shall walk my own path, so help me! You were given to me by the creator! Assist me as we tread upon My Path."

System: [The host's choice is dangerous and difficult, maybe hundreds or even thousands of times harder than the two orthodox paths.]

Hearing the system's words, Skye simply smiled and responded. "Hmph, I've experienced hardship itself to its utmost extreme. This time, I will shatter and decimate the obstacles and difficulties that crosses my path!"

System: [Are you sure, my host? This path may lead you against the world itself, or maybe even the whole universe.]

"With my Supreme System, standing against the universe, how hard could it be?"

A young man from Earth died only to find himself reborn in the Marvel Universe's Earth.
