'It's here again' he thought to himself. Staring down at the black little box on the floor.
He stood at the entrance to his office, squatting down he picked up the gift. Like clock work the gift was placed at the entrance to his office. Every year from the day he turned 
 29, he had been receiving a gift on the 25th of May , his birthday.
Now he was 37. Eight years and it still continued.
Maybe that was the reason he started caring.

A flash of warmth passed his clear eyes, as he held and regarded the gift with gentle hands. From surprise to suspicion, suspicion to curiosity,and finally from curiosity to confusion.
He had come to appreciate these little gifts.
Taking care of a multi-billion dollar company was not easy and even more so time consuming, so while he could not even think of himself, who thought of him?

Feihong Liu didn't take himself as an outsider. He took a seat right opposite to Zhizhong Gu and took the training plan.
"Physical training plan? This athlete was from team two!" After a glance at the name of the athlete, Feihong Liu started reading.
After quite a while, Feihong Liu said, "This training plan is quite well-written. The analysis on the advantages and weaknesses of the athlete is very clear and specific, and the training activities are well arranged. Hence, it can be used without any modification."
"You think so?" Zhizhong Gu said, meanwhile pulling out another two from the pile, looking at the name of the athlete and handing it to Feihong Liu.
"Have a look at these two. They are also for athletes from team two," Zhizhong Gu then said.
Feihong Liu took it and spent two minutes reading through it. Then he nodded his head in agreement, "I think these two are also very good, first-class training plans. "This one is good, very specific and accurate."
"Pursuit racing? It's good. But it would be hard work for the training partner."

Feihong Liu made comments while reading the plans. After finishing several training plans, there was not even one negative comment. All his comments were positive.
Finally, Feihong Liu finished reading all twelve physical training plans and said, "Those training plans are of uniform style. They were written by one person."
Feihong Liu suddenly realized that the three training plans for athletes of team two were very similar to these twelve.
"Those are all written by Dai Li?" Feihong Liu asked.
Zhizhong Gu nodded, while Feihong Liu's face suggested that he could not believe it at all.
"You told Dai Li to make training plans last week. It has been only one week, and he has written twelve, no, with the three I read, that's a total of fifteen training plans?" Feihong Liu asked.
"When I assigned the task to Dai Li last week, we were at the training ground of team two. You were there, too," Zhizhong Gu said.
"What the hell?! I've been a coach for so many years, and I've never known anyone who could make so many training plans within one week! And those plans are all good, with no flaws at all. Fifteen training plans! He must have had to work all night, for several days, to finish these within such a short time," Feihong Liu said.

"Ok. Half each." Feihong Liu understood what Zhizhong Gu was doing immediately.
Then, a voice was heard at the door. "Gu, time to get off work. Still not going? Your wife's going to call and urge you home soon." It was Bin Wang, who walked in directly.
"Good, you are here. We have one more hand to help. Come here! We can finish reading these with you." Zhizhong Gu shared some of his files with Bin Wang, and Feihong Liu followed suit.
"Bin Wang, these are for you!" Zhizhong Gu said, pointing at the chair in front of him, gesturing him to sit.
Bin Wang walked nearer, full of curiosity. "Those are physical training plans! Let me have a look. Well, it's well written. Are all these training plans? You two both have some in your hands. There must be about sixty or seventy of them?
"Seventy-eight, to be exact," Zhizhong Gu said.
"That means there's one for every athlete in our team!" Bin Wang exclaimed, "This is a huge project, and it would take great effort to finish this. Gu, when have you gotten all these done? You were even hiding it from me? How long did it take to make all these seventy-eight training plans?"
"One week," Zhizhong Gu replied.
"Nonsense! It cannot be done in a month, let alone one week," Bin Wang said, shaking his head.
"I'm not the one who did it. It was Dai Li," Zhizhong Gu said, "He made all these seventy-eight training plans in one week, then gave them to me at the meeting today. You were sitting beside me then, so you should have seen it. Remember?"
"That's even more ridiculous. He is new here, and not even familiar with the athletes, right? How could he make all these plans, in one week? Is it that everyone of them is the same? Maybe only the name is different?" Bin Wang said immediately.
"That's why I've asked you to verify the matter. We have seen more than a dozen of these now, and there are more than sixty still left. Each of us has read twenty of these. It'll be pretty quick, especially with you now helping," Zhizhong Gu said.

Fifteen minutes later, Bin Wang turned on an expression that said "Incredible".
Twenty minutes later, his eyes revealed a look of shock.
Bin Wang read the twenty training plans, seeing no clue of any "copy and paste" trickery. Each and every of them was unique, and made in accordance with the actual conditions of the athlete. They were just perfect.
Bin Wang took a deep breath. He suddenly rejoiced that he was not an online anchorman. Otherwise, he would have shouted out, "Good mate! Well done!"
Zhizhong Gu and Feihong Liu also finished reading their portions of training plans. They also looked like they had seen a ghost or something.
"Have you found any problems?" Zhizhong Gu asked.
"Bin Wang and Feihong Liu both shook their heads. Bin Wang said, "Let's switch now, and look again?"
"OK!" Feihong Liu agreed immediately.
They switched their training plans around among them, and then followed another twenty minutes of silence.
"Seventy-eight training plans, in one week! If I had not seen this for myself, I would not believe it, even if you beat me over the head with it, to my very death!" Binwang's voice broke the silence finally.
Feihong Liu raised his head and said, "Gu, you said on the phone that you would assign this Dai Li to team two, right? I'll call him and tell him this now."
Zhizhong Gu suddenly shuddered, "Who said that? He must stay in team one!"
"How can you go back on your own words?! What did you say on the phone just now? You said you would assign Dai Li to my team, so that I could teach him something. How can you change your mind in just one hour! You change your face more quickly than you turn the pages of a book!" Feihong Liu said, with more than a little anger.
Zhizhong Gu, however, smiled unabashedly, "Of course the good talents must stay in team one! As you just said, all these training plans could be used without any revision. You can pick up all those plans for the athletes in team two, and take them away with you. They will surely save you much time!"
"I say, Gu, you think I'm a mere beggar? This compensation is not enough at all! You must treat me to a big dinner tonight! And not in our canteen, either, as we must go and find a fancy restaurant!" Feihong Liu squabbled.
Bin Wang, however, looking at the two haggling with each other, heaved a long sigh.
"Seventy-eight training plans in one week! Is this even human? It must be a superman that Gu has hired this time!"

I was out of the house before nine the next morning. Roch was very soundly asleep: I could hear him snoring from the far end of the first floor landing, where the master bedroom and the only bed in the house were located. I knew he had come in very late; he woke me up when when he was climbing that horror-movie staircase. He went straight to his bedroom and I fell asleep again instantly.

I had concluded the whole tuition business by midday. It totally cleaned me out, even though I only took the courses mandatory for my degree. After I wrote out the check to pay for those, I had twelve dollars in my wallet, and eleven in my  bank account. I had just enough to survive for a couple of days, and for a bus ticket to Toronto. But I didn't intend to return to Toronto, ever.

My parents were likely expecting me to call with news of how I was getting on. Calling them wouldn't cost me any money, they'd gladly take a collect call from me. They'd gladly pay for a chance to remind me how unreliable, naive, and generally childish I still was, and lecture me on what I should and shouldn't do. I didn't want to call them. I didn't want to talk to them. What I wanted was a job.

I spent a dollar on a hamburger, fries and Coke in a McDonalds. That left eleven dollars in my wallet, to match the eleven in my bank account. I sat down on a bench near the McDonalds and lit a cigarette. I had bought two English-language newspapers - the Montreal Star and the Montreal Gazette - and started to look through the Help Wanted ads. There were quite a few, but I needed an evening job. I would be starting classes right after Labor Day weekend at the beginning of September, and that meant a busy daytime. This narrowed my choices to maybe half a dozen bar/restaurant jobs. There also was an opening for a night receptionist at a small hotel, but they wanted someone for eight hours and six nights a week, from ten in the evening till six in the morning. If I took that job - sorry, if those guys were compassionate enough to give me a job, I'd be busier than a whore with three beds: nothing but work, sleep, study. So I thought I'd try the bars and restaurants first, jobs like that had a big advantage: they came with a free meal attached. I had already equipped myself with a handful of change in preparation for my job search, so I wandered around until I found a payphone in a spot that was relatively quiet, and started calling.

The first two calls were a washout: they'd already found someone. No one answered the phone at the third number, although I called twice, and waited for a full minute the second time around. My fourth call was answered by a guy who coughed so hard I felt his spit travel up the telephone line and land on my cheek. He kept saying hello and then coughing himself stupid for at least ten seconds. We went through that routine three times before I surrendered, and hung up on him.

The fifth number was busy. The sixth call started promisingly: it was answered by a woman with a nice, melodious voice. I told her why I was calling in a voice dripping with sweetness and goodwill. She had a question for me. Did I speak French?

"Un petit peu," I told her.

She instantly started to speak French, very fast: I understood a word here and there, but couldn't make sense of what she was saying.

"I'm sorry," I said in English. "I didn't catch that. Like I told you, I have a little bit of French but I'm not fluent. Could you please repeat what you said in English?"

There was a silence on the other end that felt hostile.

"I learn fast, though," I said quickly. "I'm sure that I'll be able to get by within a week."

There was another silence. Then she slammed down the receiver just as I was opening my mouth to speak again. Maybe she wasn't as nice as her voice.

That left the night receptionist job. I smoked two cigarettes standing next to the phone, thinking hard. Forty eight hours a week, another thirty six of classes and lectures, and at least twenty for studying on my own. Add twelve hours for commuting, and twelve for eating, shitting, pissing, washing. 128 hours. Fuck! There are 168 hours in a week. Count them if you don't believe me. I would have to survive on 40 hours of sleep a week; more realistically, it would 35, five hours per night. I could do that for a week or two, maybe a month, but after that I would turn into a zombie.

Halfway through my second cigarette, I decided I didn't really have a choice. I'd cut a lecture here and a class there, do less studying on my own, eat fast food only, and train myself to take a shit in sixty seconds. I finished my cigarette and called the number for the 'small, family-run hotel with a tradition of excellence'.

I waited a long time for someone to pick up the phone at the other end, I was actually about to hang up when there was a click.

"Montrose Hotel," said a voice straight out of a movie featuring English aristocrats of the Victorian era. It was a man's voice, reedy and trembling with a curious mix of anticipation and resignation: the voice of someone used to being disappointed, but still hopeful. I was so startled by that voice I couldn't speak.

"Hellew," said the voice patiently.

I immediately launched into a detailed explanation of who I was and why I was calling, in my best imitation of a British accent - I'd picked up a bit of that while I was living in England. The voice said 'yes' and 'mhm' and 'aha' sounding increasingly pleased. When I fell silent there was a longish pause. Then the voice said:

"Mhm, yeeees... This sounds promising, yes, quite promising, I must say... When can you shew yourself?"
"I beg your pardon?"
"Shew yourself. You know, toddle over so we can take a look at you. Are you presentable?"
"Yes, I think so, I mean I hope so."
"Jolly good! Can you pop in this afternoon? Before four, mind you. We serve tea at five and things get quite busy, very busy in fact."
"I can come over straight away, if you like."
"Excellent! Toodle-oo," said the voice, and the connection was cut. I swore; I was about to ask for the address.

It was already past two o'clock and I spent a couple of anxious minutes leafing through the telephone directory that hung from a chain next to the phone. As I might have guessed, Montrose Hotel was located on Montrose Avenue, west of where I was; I'd have to spend money on a bus fare, it was too far to walk. Luckily I was wearing a jacket in addition to my shirt and tie; I had put it on that morning because I needed the big inside pockets for all that paperwork I had to carry around.

I arrived at my destination at half past three. Montrose Hotel was a big nineteenth-century manor converted into an upscale rooming house; it had definitely seen better times. Its function was very discreetly advertised by a small hand-painted sign that said ROOMS in red letters. I climbed the three cracked stone steps to the front door, and pressed down on the big brass handle. The door was locked.

There was a bell push by the side of the door. I pressed the button: silence. After a few seconds, I pressed it again: more silence. I was about to press it for the third time when the door opened and I instantly put on my best I'm-such-a-nice-person smile.

I found myself smiling at an East Indian, or maybe Pakistani guy who was no more than five feet tall: the top of his head was below my chin. His oily black hair was parted in the middle and he had a pencil mustache, a smudge of sparse black hair over thin, liver-colored lips. He was wearing grey flannel trousers and a matching waistcoat, a white shirt, and a tie with diagonal black and red stripes. He looked up at my face and there was a hostile glitter in his eyes. I said quickly:

"I'm awfully sorry to bother you. I'm the chap who called earlier about the job. Michael Ryman."

He became all smiles.

"Ah yes, yes, of course. Please, do come in." He stood aside to let me pass, inviting me in with a dramatic flourish of his hand. I went in, hiding my face from him by pretending to look around the interior - I was in shock. The voice on the phone belonged to that guy! Fucking unbelievable.

"Very nice. Beautiful, in fact," I said, looking at a living room that had been converted into a makeshift hotel lobby. It had a counter right in the center with a big fat book that I guessed was the guest register. The counter had a stone top, which was odd; it was shaped a little strangely, too. I realized I was looking at a bar counter adapted to a different purpose.

There was a sofa and armchair set to the right of the counter, complete with a standing lamp and a coffee table that actually looked like an authentic antique. A small wooden breakfast table stood to the left, with two chairs across from each other. Right in front of me, a wide staircase led to the first floor; it had a vaguely Persian-motif runner secured to the stairs with thin metal rods. I turned to the guy that had let me in and said:

"Absolutely lovely."

He beamed at me. I beamed back at him.

"Excellent," he said. He turned round and opened the big glass panel door behind him: i looked over his shoulder and saw chairs neatly arranged around a massive dining table.

"Can you cook a decent plate of eggs and bacon, and brew a nice pot of coffee or tea?"
"Uh - yes, of course."
"Jolly good. You see, some of our guests like to breakfast early. You would be expected to attend to their needs. There's a kitchen in the back. Two slices of bacon per egg, two eggs unless specified otherwise. And a fried tomato, naturally. And toast. Think you can handle that, old chap?"

No one had ever called me an old chap before, not even while I lived in Britain. But I recovered quickly and said:
"Of course."
"Marvelous." He turned back to face me, and there was some more beaming back and forth. He said:
"I shall shew you around the kitchen another time. It's nearly tea time, and it gets very busy, yes, extremely busy. The lobby is over here, of course, please follow me, my dear fellow. That's where guests sign in. Here, let me show you -"
He went on like that for a while showing me this and explaining that. I felt joy: it looked as if I had the job.

When I left twenty minutes later, I wasn't quite so joyful. The job paid a dollar an hour - eight bucks per shift, which meant just forty eight dollars a week. I was told I could also count on tips, but I didn't anticipate much guest traffic: I calculated there were no more than six-seven bedrooms upstairs. But the big problem was something else: I was to start work on the 18th of September.

"The chap we've got now has to work out his notice, you see," Mr Houghton-Briggs informed me. "And we like to start new people on a Monday. Gives us plenty of time to ease you into things, old horse." Yes, he actually called me that, and yes, that's how he called himself: Henry Houghton-Briggs. Albert Einstein once said that there was just one thing that was bigger than the universe: human stupidity. Personally, I'd say vanity. But they are two sides of the same coin, after all.

There was no way I could survive until September 18th on the money I had left. I walked all the way home - an hour and a half! - and smoked half a dozen cigarettes along the way. I had to find another job right away! Or maybe I could ask Roch to lend me a hundred bucks? He'd said he'd collected two hundred for the rat-infested furniture he'd sold.

Roch  wasn't home when I got there. I was hungry. I wolfed down two apples and most of the bread I still had left, sitting on the folding metal camping chair that went with the table in my room. Then I went downstairs for a beer - I'd put my six-pack in the kitchen fridge. I discovered that Roch had drunk one; there were just four left. I instantly felt better about asking him for a loan. I sat at the kitchen table with a cigarette and a beer and waited for him to come home. I read the brochures I'd taken from the university. They told me I was going to have a great time, and that I would acquire valuable skills and knowledge.

I remembered the time when my school invited a real painter - a guy who made a living from his art - to talk to those of us who wanted to study for a Fine Arts degree. He started his talk  by informing us most of his income came from making advertising illustrations. Then he said something which has stuck in my mind ever since:

"Being a professional painter has one great advantage," he told us. "You'll never experience extra hardship because there's been an economic downturn, a recession. This is because in this job, there is always a recession. And there's no such thing as a boom."

Two beers and three cigarettes later Roch still hadn't come home, and I was really tired after that long walk home. So I brushed my teeth and went to bed; the beer had made me sleepy. I planned to hang around in the morning, and talk to him then.

But next morning, things took an unexpected turn.

Pyros:" This but the more important, they can combine it.

Think of a Wind spell like a tornado what happen if i infuse it with Fire?"

Kite:" A flaming tornado , the Wind will increase the flame heat!!!"

Pyros:" That's right, you have to recall something before we resume the training.

You can't combine all like water and fire oppose each other, the element  interact like that.

Water> Fire>Earth>Wind,  Light=Darkness .

If an affinity are near you can't combine them so earth and water work well together like wind and fire.

Light and darkness oppose each other but can be use with the 4 others.

Mastering all this affinity will take you countless thousands years...

I take out my axe and start cut down the tree around, five hours later completely exhausted i rest within a tree.

I have cut eight trees, each have a ten meter trunk diameter, don't think this will take so many times.

I rest before resume my work i start take of all of their branch and foliage, i will use the foliage for a temporary bed.

Next with the axe i take off the bark of one tree, after that i use the saw to cut some plank from it.

This provide me thirty planks for start my house, plank house? Wait i miss something i have nothing to fix the plank!!!

This will be nice if i have some nail....'Sigh' no choice i will have to build  a forge before resuming my project.

I check the blueprint inside my smithing skill windows, i will need some stone. 

I have no mountain around so the only way are below, taking the shovel i choose a place and start dig in diagonal.

I take my time don't want to haste it and provoke a landslide, this devil plot are enough to kill me don't want to add to it by acting like an idiot.

After digging twenty meters i have the luck to find stone, i take my pickaxe and start extract a square block  stone .

This lead to a 2*2*2 meter square stone, i lift it without problem thank to my strength and go outside.

Now i have to use the hammer and chisel to create this primitive forge.

When i think of that, the skill book and tool all of it are useful for survive, i suspect that if i have not mined some ore i will have found nail in the chest

It seems that's not the 1rst time this devil do that, who know how many have suffered from him.

Using the blueprint instruction, i start remove fifty cm from the top to form a bowl with a small hole, that's where the ore will be put and the liquid will  pass through the hole.

After that i dig the bottom of the rock to create an empty square, that's where the wood will be put.

All of this work take me some time when i finish the night start fall, no choice today i will have to sleep under the stars. 

I eat one of my last bread  and sleep on the foliage, exhausted by this day i fall in a deep sleep.

The bird sing wake me up, opening my spiritual world i enter it, he is really here....

Twenty min later the copper start melt and fill the mold, i don't have a bucket so i cast a freeze bolt on the mold to cool it.

Immediately  taking the lingot i put the mold in place and go take more ore in my world.

An hour later i have used all of my ore i now have 275 copper lingots, time to search how "Wild Crafter" work.

I start by trying open the skill but nothing happen, then i shout "nail" with the menu open  another fail.

Then holding the lingots i imagine it transforming into some nail, "bzzzzzz" a sound can be hear but nothing change.

So this need the imagination and another things but what. The wild crafter use the element and the resource, element,element  wait that's it!!!

I have to use the element, i close my eye and calm myself, i sense the line moving.

I imagine  my red line going to my hand and the line reach the lingot.

Then imagine the lingot melt and the liquid take the form of nail.

Opening my eyes to my joy some red nail float under my eyes, closing my eyes i imagine  the blue line going to this nail.

Checking my status my mana have been depleted , and no a small cost i have used 200 of it .

Project House time to go, i start by the floor don't want it to be made from earth.

If a monster have the earth affinity and come from below, i will  have a serious problem.

Don't want to be eat by a giant worm, i put a wood parket which cost me fifteen planks

I will need more plank have underestimated the cost, i use three of the previous cut tree and obtain ninety more planks.

I start by making the outside wall, for the door have to use my Wild skill another time. 

I create some hinge with it, then i separate the house in three room.

The bedroom, the kitchen and a working room,then i put a roof in a diagonal shape in case it rains. 

I go to my world and take all my tool who are inside and put them in the working room.

Before closing my world i shout: "see you later and don't eat my chickens !!!"

Survival check: water and food done, a place where live done. Next operation "Defense creation" 

But before i need some alchemist resource, i go wander in the forest with the hope to find what i need.

Fifteen min later the grass at my left start move, wait why this move monster are not supposed to be here.

       For the past few days, Deb had been hanging out with her new friends, making it back to her quarters drunk as a skunk late into the morning hours, crashing in her bunk as soon as she got to it and getting up with the alarm and a hangover each morning.  By the time she showered, dressed and poured a pint of coffee down her throat Bradley and Maria would be up, dressed and on their way to breakfast.  Deb never noticed that the other two were sharing a bunk and she was completely oblivious to the knowing glances they were sharing throughout the day in the control booth.
With the new pilots and ships, the flight deck was running around the clock.  Bradley had been given a number of techs from the Eirerinia troops who had experience running their own flight hangar.  He was able to quickly train two more shifts to run the control booth and flight deck.  That freed them up from eighteen-hour shifts down to eight-hour ones.  It was almost like everything was back to normal, but it wasn't normal at all.  Bradley was suddenly an officer running the show and had a girlfriend whom he felt was way out of his league.  It all seemed to be too good to be true until he remembered that the ship was still thousands of light years away from home and there was a new enemy who was trying to kill them.  Oddly enough that made him feel better because it lent some credibility to his reality.
With the shortened workday Bradley could shut the deck down for an hour to let everyone go to lunch like they had been doing before.  Yet he would work through his lunch to catch up on data-work, and Maria would stay to keep him company; Deb would stay because on most days all she wanted to do was pound down a quart of water and close her eyes.  So Maria would run down to the mess and collect three MIMs, military issue meals, a.k.a. crap-in-bags.
That morning was fairly quiet in the booth as Deb had been dealing with her hangover, but by noon with coffee and other stimulants that she was taking, Deb was herself and chatting every chance she got about her new friends and the stories they were sharing with her.  Most of which concerned Bruce, the Eirerinia that she insisted she wasn't dating, but who had her undivided attention every time they were together.  At around 1400 the deck slowed down with very little to do as they were on standby while the Phoenix was en route to its next destination.   All they had to do in the booth was monitor and be ready to deal with any problems.  The deck had been running so smoothly that problems were few.
Deb had been talking non-stop for over an hour and was on yet another story. "Then Bruce and his friend Tad walked into this bar in a town called Ginny, not looking for trouble, but wearing their trooper gear, which I guess on their world is a sure fire way to drum up trouble..."
Maria suddenly cut her off by saying, "Bradley and I are together."
That stopped Deb cold, "Excuse me?"
Maria turned her chair, looked Deb straight in the eyes and repeated, "Bradley and I are... we're more than friends now."
"What?  How, when?"
"For about a week now."
"What?  You mean you're F-Buddies.  Wow, look at you, claiming your own boy toy," Deb said with a laugh.
"NO!... No, it's not like that.  We're... we are a couple now."  She looked away for a moment, and her voice softened as the words were still a little uncomfortable to say.  "A real couple."
Deb was in shock.  If it had been something that happened around the time they first met him, she wouldn't have cared that much, but over the past couple of months, they had become something of a trio of companions.  She thought of them as a kind of odd family unit.  The news was a discovery that there was an entire dimension of their existence that she was not a part of.  How could they have been together for a week and not even tell me about it? She thought to herself.  After a moment of reflection, she asked. "So are you two just fooling around?"
Bradley stepped up behind Maria and put his hand on her shoulder.  Maria put her hand gently on his and looked up at him with a smile.  Then she looked back at Deb. "No, actually it's kind of more than that.  We're kind of serious."
"How serious?" Deb asked fearfully.
Bradley shrugged his shoulders, "Like, well, adult serious."
Deb looked at Maria.  "Really?  You think you could fall in love with him."
Maria squeezed Bradley's hand. That very subject had dominated their pillow talk for a number of nights.  "I don't know.  Maybe.  We're not sure about anything except that we trust each other and care about each other.  Right now that's enough.  Right now that's all we can handle."
Deb looked away from them for a moment.  She was having a hard time processing the entire thing.  Change was not something she liked when she was not in control of it.  She cared for them both and wanted both of them to be happy, but at the same time, she felt like she was being left behind.  Her chest tightened, and she got a lump in her throat.  It was a reminder that she gave up on having a future long ago and had just assumed that they had too.  Somehow she had convinced herself that her friends would always be around her.  Most likely because she assumed there wasn't much time left to have a future as they were on what was considered a doomed ship up until recently.  The reality settled in and she started to shake.
Maria tried to reach out to her friend, but Deb pushed her off, jumped up and ran out of the room.   A light flashed on Deb's control panel, and Bradley took her station to deal with it.  Maria just kept her eyes on the door hoping Deb would return, but she didn't.
Neither one of them wanted to hurt Deb, but things had changed, and for the better as far as they were concerned.  They knew Deb would come around and their friendship would continue.  Change was frightening for all of them.
"How did things get so complicated?" Maria asked.
"I don't know," Bradley answered.  It was nearly time for the next shift, and some of the other crew members started to arrive.  They went back to their stations trying to act as nothing had happened, not knowing if Deb would ever speak to them again.

Qin Jiao dropped Meng Fan off at the turn before the academy and turned left toward the publishing house.
Meng Fan didn't return to school but went home instead.

The only way to achieve this was to brush the experience faster! Everything else was okay, and all they needed at the moment was more content. So he continued to work on the commissions!
Xing Ta Ge already gave him the script for "Guide to Campus RoMANce" which was completed. On his way back, Meng Fan called Xing Ta Ge over and the two discussed for over two hours to finalize the ideas and details to see the manga till the end.
Although Mr.Sleepy's overall popularity had decreased, "There's a Spirit Underground" had always maintained a popular rating. Plus his original script was already saved, and they had already submitted 50 chapters. If all eight volumes published eight chapters each, they would only need to finish 6 more chapters to publish the next individual seven volumes. Plus the three volumes for "Guide To Campus RoMANce", he would have ten solo publications.
Meng Fan was ready to give it his all to complete this task.
To be honest, he was very curious as to how fast he could draw if he tried his best and used all of his attribute bonuses.

He included his universal pen and his physical fitness, observation skills, smile appeal, and his championship points, plus all the energy chews and sports drinks that he could exchange for without limit.

He downed a bottle of sports drink, unsure if peak competitive state could help his drawing, but he thought it would at least be psychologically helpful.
An hour later, Meng Fan ate an energy chew.
In another hour, he ate another one.
The added points didn't feel burdensome to Meng Fan.
Meng Fan was working on the newest chapter of "Guide To Campus RoMANce", with the same conscience as before. There were 16 pages, and one page basically contained 3 to 5 panels. This type of update speed wasn't comparable to Japanese manga's weekly update, bi-weekly or even monthly updates, but it was able to maintain its position on the Penguin animation platform as a "weekly liked" author. Plus, it was two updates a week.
Meng Fan checked the time after finishing the last panel.

Meng Fan did not give up the quality of his work just because he tried to rush the draft at the fastest speed possible, nor did he leave out any content. In the process, he was even able to make some modifications and erase some drawings.
Of course, he did not mess with the post-production method.
Even so, his speed was terrifying. There probably wasn't even a person on earth with this speed, nonetheless in China.
But Meng Fan felt he could go even faster!
He stood up and took a break, walking in a circle around the flat and doing some radio calisthenics before continuing.
The next chapter was completed in 2 hours and 28 minutes.
He took longer, but his speed was faster since the content from this chapter was much more difficult to draw.
Rumble.
When he looked at the time, it was already 8:00 pm.
He wanted to call a take out but thought about it and took off his hat and gave a call to Chen Da Qiang.
"Qiang, are you busy? If not, come to my place and bring some food."
Half an hour later, Chen Da Qiang appeared with an extra-large portion of green pepper with stir-fried rice and a plate of potato shreds, plus a bowl of rice.
"Aside from bringing food, I have something else to tell you..."
Meng Fan began eating and found he couldn't speak without stopping. Chen Da Qiang was too good at searching for good food that he was so accurate at finding it every time. Meng Fan finished everything and downed a bottle of iced cola and let out a satisfied burp before finally speaking as he stood up, "Some time ago I went to Shenzhen to participate in the 11/11 gala and didn't have time to draw. Since I'm not busy, I'll be drawing very fast in the next couple of days. So you've got some work ahead of you."
Chen Da Qiang helped Meng Fan clear the table and pushed everything in the trash. Hesitant, he asked, "How fast? Even faster than before? People are going to die!"
"Don't worry, I will combine work and rest and take care of my body."
"I was saying I'm going to die."
"Huh? Oh!"
Meng Fan, of course, knew with his current production rate, even two people would be crying let alone Chen Da Qiang by himself. After teasing him for a while, he added, "You probably won't be able to do it on your own. I'll get you an assistant."
"Manga assistant's assistant? Of course, you'd think of this!" Chen Da Qiang tied the garbage bag and took it to the door, leaving it to take down with him when he left. He washed his hands and spoke, "Where are you going to find someone? From our class?"
Meng Fan paid his assistants pretty well, so it wasn't hard to find someone from his class and give them a part-time job.
He then said, "Do you know where Zhang Zhou Wei has been recently?"
"Of course, since you and professor Qin established your studio, and Wang Ya Nan became a member, he's been dragged there every day to help out." Chen Da Qiang immediately understood. "You want to give the work to the studio?"
Meng Fan nodded. "Mhmm. But it seems like there's not enough staff available in the studio at the moment since they've been accepting a lot of commissions as well. I'm gonna give professor Qin a call later, so she can be responsible for finding people. It's best if she could pull some out from the studio, but if not, I'm sure she'll still be able to find someone quickly. As for you, you should go to the studio tomorrow. You're familiar with my drawings, so you should be able to handle the post-production work."
"Understood."
Chen Da Qiang had an exceptional executive ability and didn't require any further explanations from Meng Fan. "Tonight I've already agreed to watch a movie with Xue, so I won't be working on your drafts. I'll see you tomorrow."
"It's so late already yet you're going to a movie now? By the time you're done..." Meng Fan looked at the time and raised his eyebrows. Grabbing Chen Da Qiang's shoulder, he said, "It's almost 9:00 pm, and you had time to bring me food. It seems like you've got tons of time! Your movie's at 9:30 or later right? By the time you're done, the school will be closed. The strategies are deep my brother!"
Chen Da Qiang turned red. He struggled free of Meng Fan's grasp and turned to wash his hands. After realizing he had already washed them after turning on the faucet, he thought about it and said, "I don't know what's gonna happen. Don't let the other two guys know."
Meng Fan bellowed with laughter. "If you don't go back tonight, it'll be hard for those two not to know."
"Tell them I'm working on the drafts here with you!"
"I know, I know. You should head out now. Don't make your Xue goddess wait."
Meng Fan hurried Chen Da Qiang out the door, but he returned in a moment. He grabbed the garbage outside the door that he had forgotten and told Meng Fan to take care of his body.
"I know! Qiang bro, it's okay if you mess up here, but when you're with Xue, you better keep your rhythm! Qiang bro, you can do it!"
Meng Fan laughed as he teased him. Seeing Chen Da Qiang nod feverously, he couldn't help but be a bit envious.
He was envious of Da Qiang's ability to execute his plans!


To reward Meng Fan for his bravery before his heroic death, the cosmos rewarded him with a 'system', sending him back in time to three months ago, alive.

Now a few more hours before the upcoming book signing event in a really popular bookstore, Honoka now currently talking to the other group chat members about further information about the upcoming group cosplay...

The date for the group cosplay had been announced as one of the things that was on the new information, along with the name of the event that they were going to be doing it at.


Azuki - "Has anyone started with their costume yet?"

Machiko - "Nope, I haven't started yet. I'm still in the process of buying the materials for mine."

Kazu - "Still looking up the stores to buy my materials at right now..."

Honoka - "I started working on mine already"

Honoka replied, attaching a photo of the almost completed armor set.

Yuuki - "A fast worker as usual, Honoka"

I wouldn't really call myself a fast worker but... Whatever, I don't even care...

The silver-haired girl shrugged, neverminding the half-angel's opinion.

Honoka - "I only started working on it since I had some free time... I'm not really fast..."

Yuuki - "U sure about that?"

She doesn't believe me, does she...? I'm already telling the truth here...

Honoka sighed, trying to not fall for Yuuki's teasing.

Azuki - "That's enough, Yuuki.  Ok, Anybody else?" Azuki ruining the mood, asked once again.

The replies that followed was a mix of people that haven't started to buy the materials yet and people that were already shopping for the materials.

It was almost like a fifty-fifty ratio if someone were to tally up the replies.

So I was the first one to start to get to work, huh?

The realization kicked in as the Oni-Yuki Onna girl read all of the aforementioned replies and looked at how much progress she had done so far.

The time for her to start preparing for the book singing event had drawn even closer as even more replies came in, there was now only an hour left before she needed to do so.

Now with a shorter ammount to spare, she started to get herself ready for the event; her hair was tied up into a a pony tail, her outfit was casual-- But not to casual that it looked plain.

My editor hasn't given me an update about the manga adaptation of my novel...

Oh, Whatever. I don't have time for this...

I should probably ask her when I get to the venue.

I can't believe I didn't get the chance to immediatley ask when I arrived... This sucks...

The event went on as the line of people that came to her book signing became shorter and shorter as time went on, there were different reactions that her fans showed, from the dramatic to the energetic type of fan.

The exhaustion from signing so many books had really shown when the event had ended, she could barely hold the pen she used by the time it had finished.

N-Now where's Shigure...?

Her manager which had been talking to a staff member since the singing had started was now heading towards her.

Oh, Looks like I don't have to try to find her.

"Did you need something?" Shigure asked the obviously-wanting-to-ask-a-question girl.

"Well... I just wanted to ask about the manga adaptation..."

Was my expression that obvious?

"The first volume will have the first eight chapters in it and are already finished. And for the release date..." She started to  browse through the tablet-looking object that she had been holding the whole time before she answered. "In four weeks."

"It's finished already?? Wow, she's fast..."

Shigure gave her a nod in reply before telling her that she was free to leave.

It hasn't even been a week ever since Koto has been told about when the deadline is, she still had another week to work on it if she wasn't done with it yet.

Honoka was quite amazed at the speed that Koto managed to finish working on the first eight chapters from how she knew that it wasn't really that easy to achieve such a feat-  But something still made her worry about the said girl...

I'm worried... Did she even sleep during those seven days?

I just hope she didn't over exert herself...

Now back at her apartment, Honoka who had just gotten back from the book signing still couldn't shake the feeling of worry off her mind.

Yuuki: "Here's another announcement everyone:

In regards of the event that we'll be doing the group cosplay at...

Me and the other admins have decided to do it on the next doujinshi event that we all last meet up which is around a few months away, which will be the winter one this december."

In 2 months, huh? I'm already finished with my costume so I pretty much don't have to worry about not finishing it in time, all I have to do now is just order the wig I need for it and style it.

Now with the date confirmed for the next chat group's in-real-life activity, the silver-haired girl let out a sigh of relief as her preperations for the said activity was now almost done; not forgetting about her worry about Koto's health.

"That's it! I can't take it anymore!" She couldn't help but raise her voice as she couldn't focus on her planning for the next volume of her light novel, her worry about the cat-eared girl had now reached it's peak, she started a call with her editor asking about the said girl's contact details.

"I'll see what I can do." 

Is what her editor, Shigure had told her in reply as Honoka explained her worries about Koto health.

As she awaited the results of her editor's attempt on trying to obtain the manga artist's contact details from her editor, Honoka attempted to convince herself that Koto was fine but unfortunately this didn't help all that much.

This only made her get even more worried as she continued to attempt this self-convincing attempt over and over everytime the feeling of worry came back.


I guess I'll try and get my mind off of it by talking to Yuuki...


And so she did, she spent quite a bit of time doing so until...

"You're worried about someone, aren't you?"  Yuuki saw through her.

Was I being that obvious?

She attempted to deny the fact but to no avail, This only made her online friend even more suspicious of her.

Yuuki: "Yes, You are. I can tell."

Honoka: "Ok, I admit... I'm pretty sure you heard about this already but..."

She told Yuuki all about how she got worried about Koto overexerting herself and couldn't stop herself from doing so ever since she had heard about how Koto managed to do it within a week.

Yuuki: "Oh, come on... She'll be fine, people that have the job of being a mangaka are more tough than you think."

That doesn't really help though...

Honoka thought as she read her friend's reply about the matter, not feeling any better.

Honoka: "I guess you're right..."

A female immortal around the age of 800 decided to join a chat group for cosplayers that had members that are immortals, vampires, hackers, demons, and many more immortal creatures including some fantasy creatures as members.

But the only problem is she has almost no experience in cosplaying and only has a year of experience and writes light novels as a job so she barely has anytime to work on her costumes.

Six days later 

During this week, I bring the hell to the earth by tort- I mean be training the soldiers to be good soldiers in the future and because I know that only steve will be able to take the Super-Soldier serum; so I was scouting some soldiers to work for me and I found three men with the qualifications.

The names of the three men are Barry, Jerry, and Sam.

The oldest is Sam, he has black hair and average look, and the youngest is Barry, he has brown hair and his look above average, but the most outstanding of the three is Jerry, he is handsome, smart and he was from a rich family, he has black hair, and from one to ten he will get eight.


I asked them to join my company if they failed to get the Super-Soldier serum and they accepted.

And why I picked those three men out of all the soldiers because from my observation they are smart, not arrogant and trustworthy, and the true reason, because I used the information function for the first time on the soldiers.


The information function shows me the name, personality, skills, and abilities, which means that I can know if someone was lying to me.


You can consider the information function alone is a cheat ability.


After finishing everything in the unit for the first week before the experiment I decided to visit Jude because I miss her so much, and I couldn't sleep well without my pillow(Jude).

I looked at Emma and said "hey Emma, I hope you will be taking care of us" with my handsome face and my charming smile she became completely red, but I remembered something and asked Emma "Emma can you tell me how old are you?" I was waiting for the answer because she was a beauty to be called a 15 years old girl, she has beautiful brown hair, blue colored eyes although her body wasn't mature yet, but still very beautiful for her age

She said "I am 21 years old" with a red face and low voice, but when I heard her answer black veins started to appear on my forehead

l laughed at the falling Emma until Jude gave me another punch "don't tease her" she glared at me said "go and apologize for what you did to her before sleeping" I nodded my head because I felt I went overboard with my teasing this time


After I went to Emma's room with Jude following me to make sure I will apologize properly.


After accepting my apologies for what I did we went back to our rooms and I hugged my pillow and slept soundlessly.
