I know it's a long break (more than a year) but I had to focus on my studies. Now into a 2-year internship with lots of free time in my hand. Thus I've decided to continue the novel, at the very least I can guarantee that I can keep writing for the next couple of years.

Guys, I'll officially upload the next new chapter in a couple of weeks; I'm editing all the chapters released, to improve the standard. Re-evaluation of the novel showed my standard of writing is weak, which's obvious given the fact that English is only my third language.   

I'm working on improving my writing skills but for the immediate results, an Editor software has been subscribed for premium.  

Readers are welcomed to re-read the chapters edited, all edited chapters will have the date of editing in the 'author's thoughts'. I'll be editing at least three chapters every day.

I know many readers might be angry or disappointed with the inconsistency and huge break for which I extend my humble apology to all the readers. And will be extremely grateful for all those re-joining the ride and thanks for reading my book.

Hello readers. I'm currently not able to access the site using my laptop. I'm not sure when this problem will be solved but until then I'm not going to post any chapters. I could write with my phone but it would drop the quality since my phone is not installed with proof reading software which help with my editing. I don't have an editor and I'm working on this novel on my own. Being a non-native english speaker myself, I would surely make a lot of mistakes while writing. (Even with the software I would do mistakes here and there. Imagine doing so without one ㅠㅠ) I hope this problem could be resolved soon. Thank you for your understanding. By then I will continue drafting.

Kim was thinking to himself while looking at his friends. Although he seems playful when he is talking to others, inside he was more mature. He thinks rationally, and act rationally. He always dreamed of becoming a researcher one day and win the Nobel Prize. He had a brilliant mind which was trapped in the wrong body, in the wrong era. If only he was somewhere else different, maybe people would become more open to him and give him chances. Every single time he displayed his geniuses no one seems to bother because none did understand.

Despite the setbacks, he doesn't really hate his life. He always has his lovely family and most trusted friends with him. They are the one who made his life interesting. Even if others didn't believe him, his family and friends always give moral support when he mentioned his dream. Regardless of whether they understand him or not, because of them he never gave hope with his ambition.

He muttered to himself again,

"Hahhh can't some interesting things happen to stimulate my brain. I'm dying here. The teacher just read his notebooks. I don't even know if he understands the content. If only a comet come smashing in or an earthqua-"

Suddenly, he felt a slight tremor. He thought he was imagining things, but the class seems to be quiet. Too quiet! Again, a tremor with higher magnitude shakes the ground.

"What is this? Earthquake?

Finally finished all main tabs of the soft I was making. I still lots and lots of ideas on how to improve the soft, but that for the later. Filled in info up to the last chapter and already found inconsistencies in the last chapter(Level 14, part 1) due to writing it not in top condition. 
I am also adding more to previous(Level 14, part 1) chapter, because at Wednesday I had no time to properly finish it, so I felt that I have to do it properly! Fixing some mistakes that I found thanks to software. Added arrows, that people asked for)) Added things that I wanted to initially add and etc.
Chapter will still remain mostly foundational and these types of chapters will often appear in the beginning until year 2-3 maybe, because leveling will slow down by that time substantially. And by the time MC will reach higher levels, this kind of chapters will pretty rare.
I will republish it in a few minutes. Will just do a final read before publishing, and fix mistakes missed at pre-editing. 
Me editing and republishing chapter doesn't mean there will be no chapter today, so no need to worry))

Have we really given it any thought?

Did language scholars sit down and discuss it in social circles.
Could the missing words be a secret code, and a way of passing messages amongst secret societies with secret handshakes.

Will code breakers discover hidden messages in breaking down the original Cicero text and Latin version?  Will the answer change if you consider the alignment and direct of words written in ancient Greek (a language that might transcribe leftward or rightward or a combination; depending on the age they wrote it).

I doubt it.  It doubt anything meaningful would be discovered; because the simplest answer is usually the correct one.

Lorem Ipsum exists because of corruption, reproduction, retelling, reprinting, misspelling, cut and pasting, and editing.

It is something to consider as I write today.  Will my word survive, and if they do survive; would I recognize them?

Hey... it's BenFang here. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that's all I seem to be able to carry... I won't be uploading any chapters for a while. I'm not sure how long I won't be able to write either. 

The reason for my statement is because my computer which I write this on finally broke. I knew that it would happen eventually, it's been on the verge of breaking for the better part of a year and a half. I don't know how long it will take me to get a new computer since I don't have a job and I'm a minor. Honestly, it could be anywhere between a few days, weeks, or a few months. 

To be honest, I could try to write on my phone (like I'm doing right now to write this message for you) but I just don't feel comfortable doing so. I wrote on my computer so that I could use editing software to check my spelling, grammar, and other things. It wasn't perfect, but it helped. I would simply be too embarrassed to continue writing if the quality dropped because of the lose of my computer. 

Anyways, I will try to get a new computer as soon as possible, but I don't think it will happen soon. Please forgive me for not being able to promise more chapters soon. When I do get a new computer however, I will try to write a lot more to make up for it. At the very least, I will try to keep a more consistent schedule when I get a new computer.

Milana's brows furrowed at Ci-ci's response. 
She was normally a reserved person. In fact, it was only because of her anger that she was so outspoken right now. So, Ci-ci being so forward and honest with his response made Milana slightly uncomfortable. However, she could only move forward, pretending to not have heard what boiled down to a confession. 
Clearing her throat and willing away the blood that threatened to rush to her soft cheeks, Milana turned to the other members of Petrov Technologies. 
"I think it's best we start with some introductions." Milana said, nodding toward the other Petrov Technologies employees. "We're a small company. This building only exists as a meeting place for business. That includes requests, orders and board meetings led by our legitimate share holders. 
That doesn't have to do much with us, though. Our job is to formulate quarterly plans based on the direction the company heads want to take us in. Including me and you, we have four total engineers. Aside from that, we have a single designer and a software specialist, who is among our engineers."
Although Ci-ci didn't let it show, he already found issue with this setup. 
It was good that they had many engineers, but only having one software specialist was a problem. Coding was a different beast entirely to its own. It was the step susceptible to maybe the most mistakes and the idea of a single person being responsible for finding and editing those mistakes was a problem. 
This problem became even worse when you consider the scale of what Ci-ci wanted to do. Often, useful technology required consistent updates, bug fixes and troubleshooting. Petrov Technologies would never be able to disseminate their products widely with only a single person being responsible for all of those things. 
The only saving grace was what it meant to be an Inventor. 
The term Engineer was broad and wide reaching. Engineers could be responsible for anything from building a bridge, to mapping the electrical circuit of your home, to designing a statue for the bust of a worthy government official. 
However, to be an Inventor, the minimum requirement was being serviceable in at least three facets of engineering. And Ci-ci just so happened to know that one of Milana's specialties was under the computer engineer umbrella. Meaning, maybe Petrov Technologies only having a single specialist was only in theory and not in practice. 
That said. It still wasn't enough. 
Seemingly reading Ci-ci's mind, Milana continued, "We keep our numbers small because we outsource not only our production, but also the maintenance of our servers as well."
Ci-ci's eyes flashed at this. 'Outsourcing servers? .. Interesting.'
"That aside, much of the small details about how our company works can be looked through by you later. But, for right now, it's best you meet the team and we get started on our quarterly plan.
The good news is that although everyone here has been here for at least a couple years, they're also the product of a revamp in our staff. So, it will be easier to grow with them as we're all within the same general age range."
Although Milana said this, all Ci-ci could think was, 'So, they're cheaper.'
The longer employees stay on, the more time the have to earn higher tiers of payment as per corporate laws. In addition, keeping your employees young was another way to cut costs. It seemed Kazimir Petrov really went out of his way to cut corners. 
However, this also likely meant that the schooling, experience and education of Petrov Technologies' staff didn't allow them to demand high pay. Either that… Or they had questionable records that worked against them much the same way. 
Ci-ci had a sneaking suspicion it was more of the latter than the former. 
"This is Lily." Milana looked toward an Asian young woman with clearly unnatural silver bob-cut hair. It held a single bold streak of pink and an interesting feather stuck out as well. She wore a skirt so short that her long legs were almost her most striking feature despite her hair color, and yet maybe the oddest part about her was the tie-dyed lab coat she slid over her low-cut and tight-fitting crop top. 
Ci-ci smiled toward the young lady, nodding politely. 
Lily was the only other on Ci-ci's side of the table, so she shifted her chair to get a look at his response to her introduction. She giggled to herself when she noticed how Ci-ci ignored the crossing and uncrossing of her legs. 
The truth was that Lily had stopped being angry the moment Ci-ci walked into the room. 'He's too handsome to be angry at.' She thought to herself, having already settled on playing games with this young genius. But, she was quite surprised by the clarity in his eyes despite her subtle flirting. It made her all the more interested in who he really was. 
"Lily is our designer. Her portfolio is quite impressive. But, unfortunately, we don't have time for in-depth introductions."
Ci-ci smiled apologetically at Milana's not-so subtle jab before shifting his gaze to the next person. 
"This is Nicholas." Milana's gaze landed on a young man who was dressed quite sharply. His black hair was short and gelled, and he was also clean shaven. "He is our other engineer. His main focuses are mechanical and electrical engineering. He is also currently working towards a rudimentary understanding of software engineering as well."
"The last member of our team is JJ." Milana sighed as she looked toward the young man with his bare feet up on the large table. "He's the youngest among us, not even twenty years old, and we're quite optimistic about where he'll lead us in the future. Also, he is our main software engineer."
"You know who I am. I'm Milana." 
Suddenly the room was quiet as gazes shifted to Ci-ci. It was clear he was being asked to introduce himself – something he found quite amusing considering the circumstances. 
"I'm Ci-ci Bell. Inventor. Looking forward to working with you all." Ci-ci smiled lightly, inwardly chuckling at the disappointment painted on their faces. It was clear they wanted more. But, now was just not the time. It wasn't as though he could explain himself anyway.

Starting a new day, Hayden carried out his morning routine. He danced for an entire hour, learning four choreographies at once before exercising intensively.
 
With only three days of exercising, Hayden can already lift the 40-kilogram barbell he had at his home with extreme ease, do 100 pull-ups in one breath, perform 100 crunches without feeling pain on his abdomen whatsoever, perform 100 tiptoe squats without breaking a sweat, as well as do 150 push-ups as if he was drinking water.
 
"The rate of the increase of my physical ability is too stunning," Hayden examined his body. "Within three days of exercise, my muscles are already dense enough, and my abs are being slowly sculpted."
 
He thought he needed to buy a much heavier barbell if he wanted to increase his physical abilities more. "Until then, I guess I'll do one-hand pull-ups, push-ups, pistol squats, and cross crunches…"
 
"I need money," Hayden sighed. "I shouldn't have to depend on my parents to buy things anymore… perhaps I should start a Streamlink channel?"
 
An idea popped up in his head, which was to start a Streamlink channel so that he could earn money without going out of the house.

He sighed. He couldn't think of any other way for a high school student like him to earn money. He didn't want to do part-time work as it will be a waste of time in his opinion, baby-sitting wasn't an option as Hayden didn't like kids all that much, especially unruly ones, and lawn mowing was definitely not a good thing. Meanwhile, he wouldn't be able to make use of the talents he's practicing except as a hobby and pastime.
 
"I guess I have to bitterly rank up…" The way to ranking up to an A-Rank commander in War of Honor was filled with harsh struggles, what more, going into S-Rank, Supreme General, and Apex Rank. "It really is the only way I can think of…"
 
Deciding that this would be the only way, he spent 30 minutes to play one ranked game for War of Honor. "I can also join tournaments if the time comes…. Perhaps the Pro Assembly even!"
 
He set his sights high up there in the air, desiring to go to the Pro Assembly while being a D-Rank player. If anybody heard this silly dream of Hayden's, they would laugh their ass off.

Going inside his classroom, Hayden sat. The past three days, he always arrived at 7:05, this day was not any different. Remembering what happened yesterday, he was a little distraught.
 
"I hope she's fine…" Hayden mumbled to himself. Just because he was an introvert and disliked socializing to the point of abhorring it, doesn't mean he can't feel emotion or sympathize with other people. "Well, nobody can recover that fa-"
 
Before he can finish his sentence, the door to their classroom opened, and in came the person he least expected to come, Faye.
 
Hayden didn't drop his phone, still silently reading. Regardless, he activated Divine Perception and observed Faye.
 
Her pretty face had hints of obvious exhaustion. Her eyes were red from crying, and her always cheerful expression was nowhere to be seen. Hayden empathized as he knew he would also be in a state like this if any of his parents died, more so a gruesome murder.
 
If that happened to him, he'd, without a doubt, go crazy and hunt down all murderers around the world, serving just deserts. What's wrong with that is he'd kill them all, not imprison them, using his Abilities to hunt down murderers.
 
At that second, Faye saw Hayden, yet, she wasn't excited at all. She was still aggrieved of the events that transpired the night her father was murdered by that goddamn Aswang.
 
Sitting on her chair beside Hayden, she stared towards the board listlessly, her eyes devoid of her soul. At that moment, she couldn't take it anymore and tapped Hayden's shoulders.
 
Hayden, as someone who couldn't stand the sight of innocent lives suffering in the hands of the oppressors and malevolent, removed his earphones and asked Faye the question that made her break down. "You want to talk about it?"
 
Faye's eyes became visibly wet in an instant. Nodding her head, Hayden patted it, and said something she didn't expect. "Don't worry, I'm here. I'll listen."
 
She broke down and recounted everything she experienced that night. She had no outlet whatsoever, her mom was more heartbroken than her, all her family members never really cared about her dad, and all her friends consoled her, but she never did get to release all of the emotion. Today, with Hayden's words, the final straw snapped inside of her and she told Hayden of what she has seen.

June 5, 2057, Tuesday, 8:00 PM, Makati City, the day Hayden showed off at school.
 
Faye was getting ready for bed, chatting with her friends on Chatbox, a messaging platform widely used by people around the world. They were talking about school, how Hayden was so cool when he did all those stunts and maneuvers during physical education time, and other typical girl stuff.
 
For an hour, she was only lying down. 9:00 PM, she was able to sleep tightly. Despite that, she was awoken by a sound in their house, a sound that terrified her. A bad feeling went through her head, proceeding to not check the sound out as it was too horrifying.
 
The sound stopped, and unknowingly, Faye was drifted to sleep. Waking up at 5:00 AM, she walked out of her room, brushed her teeth, and took a bath.
 
Feeling something was wrong, when she got out of bath, she put on her clothes. When she went out of her room once more, she noticed the bloody door handle to the room of her parents. As she was too sleepy earlier, she didn't notice it.
 
Pushing the door open, what she witnessed gave her an immense shock, disgust, sadness, and trauma. She threw up while crying as she knew who that was. It was her father, who else would be in their house? Fortunately, her mom was out of town at that time, having a business trip. When her mom caught wind of what happened, without delay, she booked a flight to Makati City from Visayas.

"The guts, intestines, liver… That scene…" Faye gagged, forcefully swallowing the vomit that rose. "I knew that coping up within my house would be worse than actually going to school, hence, here I am…"
 
Hearing this, Hayden pitied her, albeit, didn't express it. Aswang caused her so much suffering, will he really let Aswang be? Hayden was in a dilemma because of this situation. On top of that, he didn't know what to say to console Faye.
 
"Don't worry," Faye said while wiping her tears. "I already know you don't talk much. This gesture alone is enough. Thank you for listening. You can go back to reading now."
 
"Don't worry, everything's going to be fine." Hayden acted as if he was okay. Internally, he was enraged for a few reasons. First, how dare Aswang kill people. Hayden wouldn't have been this livid if it was simply a house break-in, or a robbery, but killing people was such a shitty thing to do! Especially when it's innocent people. Losing one's property is still way better than losing their lives.
 
Second, thinking up to here, Hayden heard of the descriptions of Aswang's killings and how there was no evidence at all, not a fingerprint, not a sound, no witnesses. With this, Hayden was partly sure that Aswang is a Wielder! If his conjecture was correct, it endangers the existence of wielders!
 
He knew there were other wielders in the entire world, he was also certain that there were wielders that were older than him, who awakened much earlier than him. He can't possibly be the only one who has an Ability, right? And to think that being able to go this far without the government finding out regarding their existence, Aswang, if he ever was a wielder, was risking the entire wielder community's existence!
 
If Aswang was caught by non-wielders, it would be a huge catastrophe, more so if it was the Triple A that caught him. Lastly, look at what the effects of the murder brought Faye! If Aswang was doing it for his own enjoyment and satisfaction, then Hayden has to stop him! Such a dangerous figure shouldn't be left out.
 
'Alas, it is not my duty to do this.' Hayden thought hard before coming to a decision. 'There's too much risk at stake. If I ever get embroiled into this case and I fail, who'll protect my family? I'm sorry, but I have to protect my own. I am powerless as of now, I'm sorry I would not be able to avenge your father, Faye… It's not my responsibility.'
 
Hayden was no saint. He would not play the hero who killed the villain. He would only be risking his life and the lives of his parents if he plays the role of the hero. 'I cannot let such a thing happen…'
 
Pushing this matter to the back of his mind, he spent the day focused on his studies. He decisively chose to not get involved in any of this, with him acting the part as the guardian of his family.

Arriving at his house, Hayden quickly changed clothes, did his assignments, learned Korean for two hours, and wanted to set up a channel for Streamlink.
 
"First off, if I want to upload videos in Streamlink, I need an editing software…" Hayden browsed through a list of good editing software. As his computer was up to date with the latest computer software, it already had a built-in screen recorder.
 
Assessing tens of editing software, he saw that the best one with the best reviews was the Video Director. Looking at its price, and looking at the amount of credits he had, he heaved a sigh of relief.
 
"It's a good thing I resisted spending this money on games…" He was lucky that he let his frugality get the best of him when he was playing War of Honor, Gods Awaken, and many more games. "I have 5,600 credits in my account as my parents give me 100 credits to spend per week. As I only spent, at most, half of it most times, sometimes even only as little as 20 credits, I have gotten here in three years of painstakingly saving money."
 
100 credits were not a big or a small sum. 100 credits were enough for a single average working person to live for a week in terms of food expenses, provided that they had knowledge about budgeting. The average spending per month of a regular white-collar worker was 2,231 credits, thus, 5,600 credits was indeed a huge sum, for a student like Hayden that is.
 
Video Director's license price per year was only 100 credits, a paltry sum compared to Hayden's 5,600 credits. Buying it, he opened it, activated Divine Perception, and looked through the list of functions and tools included in the Video Director's guide.
 
Hayden wanted to test the absolute limits of Divine Perception, whether scanning the list without actually reading would allow him to 'take a picture' the words, or would it not,
 
Closing the tab of the list of functions, Hayden tried to remember everything. To his surprise, he remembered every single word with only looking at it all, without focus, and not trying to read whatsoever.
 
"I'm like a human camera now." Hayden thought that this was perhaps the most useful aspect of Divine Perception. "It seems that the eidetic memory power of Divine Perception isn't simple eidetic, there's much more to it!"
 
Now, all he needed to do was buy a camera and a mic set so that he would have a beginner's recording set up. Looking for a 4k camera, he saw that the prices were too astronomical for him, at least for his sense of what was 'astronomical.'
 
"600 credits for the one with the highest price-quality ratio?" It was too big of a price in Hayden's opinion. "Well, if I want to make quality videos off the bat, then, I would need it…"
 
With great pain in his heart, he bought the 4k camera. Next, he browsed for a condenser microphone, the best quality one being 150 credits. This 150 credits were well-spent as it was considered the best, whether it be recording quality, reviews, or star rating, it even came with a free pop filter!
 
On top of that, he bought green and black clothing, along with stands, so that he can either use a black backdrop or a green screen. These three items combined were merely 100 credits. His orders would arrive tomorrow at the exact same time that he ordered the items, meaning, 7:00 PM.
 
"Now, all I need to do is climb the ranks!" Hayden said to himself, satisfied. This sense of satisfaction went away instantly when he looked at his account balance. "I only have a measly 4,700 credits left in my account. All those credits, gone in an instant…"
 
Thinking up to here, he consoled himself that it will be a worthwhile investment. He didn't need to buy gaming gear anymore as his parents gifted him a gaming set when he passed the Makati City Scholar Academy entrance exam.
 
If any student were to hear of Hayden's thoughts, they would, without a doubt, smack him in the head. "You think 4,750 credits are small? Small your ass!"
 
"Wait, why did I buy a 4k resolution camera if I wasn't planning to reveal my face yet…?" Hayden suddenly realized of a great blunder. "I forgot that I will only record my hands as I would not want any of my classmates to reveal that I am a great celebrity or any of the sort…"
 
Slapping his forehead, he was disappointed in letting his urges run amok. "Well, if this takes off, I'll become successful anyways…"
 
Consoling himself, he played ranked games until 10:00 PM, allowing him to finally stepped in the C-Rank in War of Honor. "Finally… I got hard-stuck on D-Rank because of pig-like teammates, now, I have the capabilities to solo carry as a top laner!"
 
He almost shouted from joy of getting out of D-Rank general status. Not just that, he wanted to shout even more due to playing champions that he sucked prior to dropping War of Honor and he still carried those games!
 
"It's such a fortune that I actually came to possess such a power…" Hayden was grateful for the Origin Crystal's Abilities. Needless to say, he still didn't know the origin of the Origin Crystal, which made him distrust it a little.
 
Tossing this matter out of the window, he said to himself. "I guess the only way I can actually record now is to do a Rank Climbing series…"
 
A Rank Climbing Series in War of Honor meant that a player would climb ranks using an alternate account, or if a person was low enough in rank, in their main account. Streamers often did this to troll low-ranked players, or a way to gain money, while those who were low in rank did this for making money and grinding out their accounts.
 
Generally, low-rank players referred to players in the F-Rank E-Rank, and D-Rank. These players usually had low skill, too unlucky to be paired with good teammates in ranked games, putting them in the so-called low-rank hell, or casual players who played the game only once in a while, resulting in a sharp drop in skill, eventually leading to dropping the game completely.
 
Hayden can be considered a mid-rank player as he is currently a C-Rank General. He wanted to use this to his advantage by doing a Rank Climbing series, from C-Rank General, to Apex Rank General.
 
"This will be fun…" Hayden grinned as he lay down on his bed, visualizing of various scenarios. While letting his imagination run wild, he was finally able to sleep.

1 As said, there are a total of 8 ranks in War of Honor, that is, starting from the lowest, F-Rank, E-Rank, D-Rank, C-Rank, B-Rank, A-Rank, S-Rank, and Apex Rank. F-Rank through D-Rank are considered low-ranks, and in our modern MOBA games, they are called Low Elo. The Elo rating system is a method for calculating the relative skill levels of players, such as in chess and MOBA games, created by Arpad Elo. In League of Legends, Low Elo referred to the ranks of Iron, Bronze, and Silver, the Mid Elo ranks were Gold and Platinum, while the High Elo ones are Diamond, Master, Grandmaster, and Challenger. In order to participate in e-sports, you have to at least have Diamond-rank.
 
In War of Honor the low-rank is the Low Elo, meaning, F-Rank, E-Rank, and D-Ranks are all low-rank players. C-Rank and B-Rank is mid-rank, or Mid Elo, and A-Rank, S-Rank, Supreme General, and Apex Ranks were all high-rank, or High Elo. Also, in each rank, with the exception of S-Rank Supreme General, and Apex Rank, all have 5 sub-ranks, 1-star, 2-star, 3-star, 4-star, and 5-star, much like League of Legend's Grandmaster and Challenger.
 
Players of War of Honor are called Generals, and to rank up, one must collect trophies by winning games. Ranking up from 1-star F-Rank to 2-star F-Rank needed 10 trophies, which meant 10 wins without losing for two games in a row, i.e., Win, Lose, Win; Win-Lose-Lose would result in a loss of a trophy. In mid-rank however, if one loses, they would lose a trophy immediately. When one loses their last trophy and loses for two times in a row, they would be demoted.
 
After acquiring the 10 trophies, one must finish their Advancement Trials, which were three games for low-ranks, two of which one must win in order to move up. The Advancement Trials for mid-ranks consisted of five games instead, three of which one must win. The ranking up from A-Rank onwards were more strenuous, with the move from A-Rank to S-Rank needing 10 games for the Advancement Trials, needing to win at least six games.
 
Once one reaches S-Rank, one would have to devote all of their time to the game as the Top 1000 S-Rank players of the server are the only ones who get to rank up to the next rank, the Supreme General. Meanwhile, the move from Supreme General to Apex Rank General was even harder as one must be in the Top 100 of the Supreme Generals of the server.

Wouldn't you just want to possess superpowers in this modern world? What would you do if you suddenly come to possess superpowers? Would you want to play the hero? Or perhaps the villain? Or continue living your life, using your superpowers for your own personal gains and well-being, instead of planning evil acts, or trying to save the day?

Well, that is the precise situation that Hayden Emperador, the main character of our story, is going to face.

Michael was gathered around his employees at the Eminence Gaming office. They were going to release the game. It was a monumental moment for the company since they were putting their first product on the market. The whole team was gathered around; honestly, Michael did not expect the game to be an instant hit upon release. He knew it would take some time; however, he did pay for some marketing over the weekend so he did expect favorable numbers from the first day. 

The game was on both app stores for nearly an hour now and the downloads were increasing at a steady rate. Michael heard an alert from his mission screen. 

[Mission 4: First Impression

Mission Objective: You have released the first product from your business empire. The product will be a milestone and will have a significant impact on both the public's and the employee's impression of your company. If your first game is a failure; you might even lose some employees. The game must achieve a high ranking in the app store within one week. 

Rewards: Depends on the rank in the app store by the end of the week. overall rank will be average of ranks in both app stores. ]

Michael was happy to get the mission. He already expected the game to break into top ranking anyways. However, he did not expect the game's performance to affect his employees. In hindsight it made sense, the game was designed by a 'mysterious' third party so the employees did not have full confidence in the game yet. Even with all the testing, once the game is released it would truly be in the spotlight and all the flaws will be revealed. 

The one-week deadline was problematic. He did not know of too many games that achieved top rank in the first week. However, he was confident in the game. The graphics were too extraordinary to not gather attention. 

The employees eventually dispersed and went back to work. The game was released and they just needed to wait for the results. The download chart was maintaining an upward trend, therefore so far everyone was optimistic. 

" So your game is released. What is your next step?" Jennifer approached Michael. She knew he was working on the game for the past few months. However, he was done with it now and she was wondering what his next project would be.

" Well, honestly that depends on the game's debut. If the game is well received then I will have to plan future updates. On the contrary, if the game flops then I will have to make another one." Michael explained. He had some ideas for future updates. He intended to keep up the game for a couple of years before shutting it down. 

Most mobile games have shorter lifespans than console games. It is too difficult to update old games and keep the graphics quality up to current games. It would just be better to design a brand new game or release a second version. Even smartphones change significantly within a couple of years. Developers needed to take advantage of hardware innovations and design superior software. 

Jennifer frowned at Michael's response; He seemed to forget about the parent company. "What about your traders? Don't you need to spend more time training them?" she thought Michael was not taking the training seriously. 

" Well, I have provided the resources, it is up to the interns to take advantage of it and learn. Trading is something that requires initiative; I cannot force anyone to be a trader. I do intend to spend some more time now that I am done with the game. However, it will take time for them to develop the skills to be professional traders." Michael explained. After all, all the interns had zero experience trading. They have only been studying for a week. So Michael did not expect much from them. 

Jennifer did not say anything else; After all, Michael was the expert. She understood that Michael was an introvert, therefore, had a hands-off approach to training.  She went back to her office to get some paperwork done. 

Michael decided to go home and get some homework done. His final exams were coming up and Michael's first semester of college would soon be over. He did not really care much for college now; however since he did not have to spend too much time studying he decided to stick with it and get a degree.

William Taylor was having a depressing day. He was a successful YouTuber who had millions of fans. The problem was that he was tired of the mainstream games. He wanted to try something new; however, he was cautious about taking a risk and losing his fanbase. 

" Ring Ring"

William turned to his phone and looked at the caller ID. It was from the marketing agency he was trying to work with. The agency paid popular YouTubers to stream new games and advertise the game. He was excited at the chance to get paid to try a new game. 

He answered the phone; The conversation was short. The agent introduced the game and the developer. He agreed on a flexible pay for a let's play series based on the views. William hung up and immediately went to the app store to download the game.

He was about to get some snacks when he noticed that it was downloading really fast. "Whoa did my neighbor upgrade his internet?" William threw out that possibility. His neighbor was a cheapskate. He checked the game size and was surprised by its small size. The modern games easily went over one GB in size. He was skeptical about such a small game. After all, size matters.

William set up the recording software and the microphone. He started the game and was astonished by the loading speed. 

William was taken to the character creation screen. He explored the options and set up a goofy character.

" The character creation reminds me of Skyrim. I cannot believe a Mobile game has such complicated characters!" William commented. 

He was taken to what looked like the new player area. He completed a quick tutorial. After the tutorial, William felt like his head was stuffed. The game was too detailed for a mobile game. He felt like the game could keep up with the current pc games. 

The main objective of the game was to produce drugs and sell them. All players were given a small plot of land at the beginning. There were tons of different drugs to create. The easiest and quickest choice was marijuana. It had the lowest start-up costs and skill requirements; however, it usually had the lowest profits. Players can choose to specialize in different drugs and different production aspects. 

In order to get more land, players had to band together and form cartels to bid and fight for land. William chose to first join an NPC cartel and do some missions to earn some cash. 

" Wow, the graphics are so amazing. This game leaves everyone else in the dust?" William was so caught up in the game that he was forgetting to do commentary. That spoke volumes about the game's quality, as a professional presenter, what sort of game could draw his attention so much that he forgets to do his job? 

William enjoyed the missions from the NPC cartels. The mission revolved around protecting the drugs and raiding rival cartels. He loved the combat and was enthralled by the plot for the NPC cartels. Each cartel had an appealing backstory which encouraged players to become attached to them.

William heard an alarm. The recording software had sent an alert because he had been recording for three hours straight. He did not even notice the time flying. He stopped and started editing the footage. He wanted to share the game with all the fans. 

As a pro, he knew how to judge games. William knew that this game would break all records. He quickly let all his friends know. He wanted to form a cartel as soon as possible. This game was going to change the whole industry and he wanted to be at the front to get some benefits.

Michael was just an ordinary boy living in modern-day America. He grew up in an orphanage with a bleak future. One day he acquired a mysterious package only to inherit a system. Join Michael as he changes his fate and conquers his destiny; armed with a mysterious system that tries to convince him to take over the world.
