Chapter 34: To the bottom of Dark Abyss Cliff (2)

Lin Ye Xie's body trembled as dark and cold yin energy that was both dense and extremely pure assaulted him from all direction.

And in conjunction with it, a heavy pressure was assailing his veins.

This planet is so far away and I can guarantee that I am the only one who knows that this planet exist, and I only found this place accidentally but i did not even know that this kind of place exist here." – Yin Zi Jue asked as he thought silently 'This planet is a very low level star that it is also billions kilometers away from the recognize low level planet which is the Neris Planet, so how come Ye Xie knows this place?'

Lin Ye Xie became silent for a minute before answering, "I saw it in my dreams."

"A prophecy related to the future?" – Yin Zi Jue asked

"No, it is reverse. I saw this in my dream because I dream of a certain event in the past."

Yin Zi Jue's eyebrow twitch but remain silent as he decided to ask it later as he continue to descend together with Lin Ye Xie's in his embrace.

The law in this space affected Yin Zi Jue but as he released thirty percent of his power, he is already not affected by the force that pulling them earlier.

"I was just about to have a break actually. I got a bit lost in the project I was working on this morning. That's what happens when you enjoy your work I guess," she smiled.

"And I came and took up your break time," Antonia said with a little remorse, "Well, I will take you out for lunch, you can keep me company while I wait for them."

"I am not sure..." Changying began, but Antonia cut across her words.

"Those boys know it pays to keep me happy. They will not mind trust me," she smiled beneficently.

"Well in that case," Changying did not want to cause waves with a potentially valuable customer, so she began to repackage the mask for her.

"Don't bother with that. You can keep it until you have definite answers for me," she waved her hand dismissing the debris of packaging on Changying's desk and stood waiting for her to follow.

They walked through the large showroom and Antonia stopped and told the manager she was taking Changying to lunch. Then they walked two blocks down to a small restaurant where they were seated like royalty.

"Anything you don't like or are allergic to?" Antonia asked as they took their seats.

"No, I eat most things happily," Changying smiled letting herself enjoy the break from work and meeting a new person in the form of Antonia, who obviously had good taste in antiques so they would have something to talk about.

Antonia looked up at the waiter, "The usual then, for two." Within minutes, Changying had a glass of wine in her hand and was clinking it to Antonia's as she gave a salute. "You haven't worked at the House of Lorraine long you said?"

"Only a couple of weeks, but it's my dream job I am so grateful they hired me," Changying said with feeling.

"Why did you leave your last job was it so very terrible?" Antonia asked.

"Quite the opposite really, I was very happy there. I met the man of my dreams and fell in love there," she stopped herself and smiled self-consciously, "I sound dreadful don't I, the man of my dreams and the job of my dreams, but life is pretty good for me at the moment."

"Life is always better when you are in love," Antonia laughed, "Me, I have been married so long but still we love with a passion. Tell me about your love, I would like to hear happy thoughts while we eat."

As the plates of food came and went and their glasses filled up many times Changying talked about meeting Wang and her initial impressions, of how he took her from the dungeon up to her own office and the fateful day where he scalded her with pasta, though to the date, and the lightning bolt moment where she just knew that he was the love of her life.

Antonia listened and asked questions and added to Changying's story with little anecdotes of her own. Relaxed with the good food and the wine Changying really enjoyed herself and was genuinely disappointed when she looked at her watch. 

"Oh gosh, the time has flown so fast, after telling you what a dream job I had, I may not have it much longer if I take lunch breaks this long," she smiled crookedly, "I have had a really nice time though; it was just what I needed. I miss my friends that I used to eat lunch with."

"Oh, sit down," Antonia commanded, "Just relax you're with me." She pulled her phone from her bag and dialled a number. "Benedicto, tell your brothers, the girl won't be back to work this afternoon and she switched to speak Italian, "Tell your stupid sister she is wrong,... Yes, that's the one,... Yes, I know they are all stupid at times," she laughed and hung up the phone.

Changying sat wide eyed through the whole conversation; she had just told Wang's mother how they met and fell in love, "wholly shit!" she said to herself over and over again as her mouth opened and closed again as words failed her. 

"Oh dear, that was a bit mean of me not telling you who I was exactly but I didn't't want to make you nervous," Antonia explained.

"I am sorry, if I had known I would never have told you about..." Changying gulped realising what she had said about Wang, and while she hadn't gone into details she made it very clear that he rocked her world. "Oh God," she blushed deeply.

"That's the best part," she grinned, "Now I know you satisfy each other on all levels. Love should always be passionate."

It's hard. Living here.

Every day, people are deleted. Memories are deleted. You know you should be feeling something for these people, that you must have known and cared for them, but all that you feel is the fear of being next.

I don't want to be deleted. I have people I care about here, people who genuinely love me. I hate the idea that I will eventually disappear from their lives entirely.

But then I think about it. For all I know, I had another family member, another beloved friend, and they were deleted. I feel bad thinking about this. Knowing that it was entirely possible, yet I wouldn't even know if it happened. If my friend was deleted, I wouldn't even remember that they were a person, let alone that they were my friend.

Every day, these thoughts fill the heads of me and everybody else. Yet, none of us speak about it. It's like an unspoken taboo. 

I feel so suffocated here in this place. Sometimes, I even wonder whether it would be better to be deleted. Not that I'd ever intentionally do something to cause myself to be deleted. No, I'm much too scared of deletion to do that.

I wish I were stronger. I wish I could stop the deletions. How did we even get here in the first place? 

I'll bet lots of people ask this question every day, but no one has the answer. I for one can't even imagine a world apart from this. 

My past memories have dried up and become wishful dreams that I can't be sure ever happened in the first place. I want to change this dreadful life, but I can't even think of another way it would be. I can't imagine a life where I don't feel a heavy fear of deletion at every moment. I can't even imagine what life would be like without the holes in my memory or this feeling of helplessness. It's as if it has become a part of me.

It makes me frightened, more so than I already am. 

Given the chance, would I even be able to change anything? Would I want to?

With the Destiny as my foundation, my Profound Infiniteness as the furnace, and my Devil Bridge as the medium, I drained the core of the Celestial Realm's spiritual energies and refined eight pills out of them. Soon, Heaven's spiritual energy quantity will drop to zero. However, with those pills, an early-stage Prime Devil can undoubtedly rise to the peak."
Konrad replied in a level tone. Yet, even with those simple words, his voice was like a honeyed melody that soothed the mind and quieted unrest. For a second, Rati wished to close her eyes and enjoy the tune. However, she restrained herself.
"I can feel that your cultivation...took another step."
Rati remarked as her eyes shifted from those inconceivable pills to stare at Konrad's lounging form.
"Indeed, after draining Sakra's cultivation, I've already taken half-a-step into the Anti God Realm. Unfortunately, the energy requirements are becoming outrageous. I'm afraid I will soon have to hunt peak-stage Overgods or even Primordial Gods for fast breakthroughs."

Rati began, but before she could finish her words, Konrad shook his head.
"Cut the act. It was funny at first but it's now getting annoying."
Konrad cut while sending his ladies a mental message. Instantly, they nodded and left the hall. Now, only Konrad and the "astounded Rati" remained behind.
"Act? What do you mean by that?"
Rati's eyes blinked and narrowed in a show of puzzlement while her lips pursed and confusion laced her tone. Konrad's smile remained unchanged.
"Moon, you were never a good actress. Stop this nonsense."
As the words echoed, Rati's blinking stopped, the confusion vanished, and her lips curled into a smirk.
"Oh. Exposed already? How frustrating."
Moon replied, and her appearance changed, going from Rati's peerless beauty to the figure of a young woman with back-length, blood-red hair and eyes. Dressed in a purple, backless dress, with luminous skin, perfect full-lips and engrossing phoenix eyes that only served to strengthen the effect of her flawless curves, that woman stood with a transcendental beauty putting the sun and moon to shame.
But that change was of minimal consequence when compared to her cultivation base which went from the early-stage of the Legendary God Rank straight to the peak of the Primordial God Rank, thereby marking that woman as one of the mightiest individuals of all Realms!
"When did you recognize me?"

"Touché. The game was about how long you took to spot me, not about forever evading discovery. Thank you for humoring me, it made the whole thing more exciting."
Moon's acknowledgment was followed by a snap of her fingers, and in a twister of crimson moonlight, an unconscious Rati appeared right above the stairs. Konrad waved his left hand, and Rati vanished from the scene to land on her bed within the Sea Dream Temple.
"Though, I'm curious. Back when you arrived there was no way you could have known my position. Why did you choose her?"
Konrad inquired, causing Moon's lips to widen in a wolfish grin.
"Because she's the most beautiful, of course. Having done my homework, I could guess that as long you stayed in Heaven, you would undoubtedly target its most beautiful devi. Rati and the Sea Dream Temple would be your first stop. When your bloodline reached Quasi Firmament-level and caused the Firmament Tree to resonate, Blood Nether and I traced the link to Heaven.
After you played that trick on her, I researched the Celestial World and chose the Sea Dream Temple as my destination. To prevent suspicion, I waited for you to create your sect, the moment when you were deep in pill refinement and providing guidance to your daughter and disciple to make my move.
Using my Truth Transcendence, I took Rati's spot and trapped her in a miniature space world of mine.

Konrad clarified, and as if prepared for those words, Moon nodded in approval.
"How about taking my cultivation base?"
Moon offered, making the unprepared Konrad arch his eyebrows.

The bones at the ridge turned red from the blood of the dragus. Their corpses showed deep wounds of arrows. However, not far from them the two unlikely allies were still fighting off what was left of the beasts. 

Their back facing one another while they were surrounded by the blind dragus as they hissed and roared, Each exhausted of power. The bartender especially his face was pale. 

" Any last thing to say, dreadful merchant! I believe we won't leave this place in one piece." Said the bartender with a cheeky smile as if taunting the merchant. 

His heart was beating faster, his face lost its colour. His mind trapped deep in fear. The merchant seemed thin as if he had lost weight. 

" Damn! Do I really have to use this?" He shouted. 

There was one thing Reiza hated more than anything. It is when he had to spend his own money. 


He brought out an old tattered scroll from underneath his robe. 

" I knew you hid a lifesaving thing but who would have thought it was a higher scroll." said the bartender. 

Scrolls are magic equipment that has been enchanted and drawn by Siris. The advantage of using a scroll is the immediate power it brings and can save its user from a definite peril. The more powerful the siris who enchanted the scroll is the more power the scroll holds.  However, the only downfall was it was a one-time use item and was very expensive to obtain. 

" You think this things are cheap! I am telling you am burning money! money! here." Said Reiza as he gritted his teeth. 

The merchant bit his finger and activated the scroll with his blood. 

" Stick close to me Ser, it's about to rain fire." 

' FIRE METEORITE' He shouted. 

Suddenly, the very ground started shaking, fiery red rocks came falling down from the sky. Each causing huge damage to wherever it fell but strangely enough not one of the rocks fell near the merchant. 

The dragus hissed and groaned in pain but it was too late for them. None of them escaped in time. They were all caught in the spell. The fire was so strong that it turned their very bones into ashes. 

This was the power of a higher scroll. To call upon the power of the heavens unto thy enemies. The situation was now reversed as the only one standing alive were the calculative bartender and the dreadful merchant.

Reiza gasped for a deep breath and laughed maniacally, " I shall not die today! Your damned beasts! I shall survive this ordeal and go back safely." 

Had it not been for the higher scroll, this two would have most certainly not survived. It is true when they say wealth is also power.

" I wouldn't be so sure about that! True we had just survived through a horde of beasts but we are still in the Ridge." Said the bartender. 

When Reiza heard that he suddenly lost all vigour and hope as if he was awoken from the nicest of dreams and back into the harsh reality. 

" Come let us go in this direction! I can see clusters of fire." said the bartender. He almost fell after he took the first step but Reiza held him just in time. 

" Now! Now! you're still drained of soul power. Let us take it easy. Eat this herb. It should restore what you have lost." Said Reiza. It was hard for him to give such an expensive herb for free but for the sake of his life he had no choice. 

After ingesting the herb and restoring his soul power the two men started moving again towards the small clusters of fire the bartender saw from the distant.

Meanwhile at the cluster of fire was where the group of the coward prisoners who were sent by their foolish king to look for the golden city of the witches. 

Lucky for them there was no beast that had attacked them, Up until a while ago when they were peacefully hurdled together and about to fall asleep, and out of nowhere a young boy appeared. He looked raggedy and bloody and held an axe in his hand. 

" Enemy Attack! Get the hell up everyone!" one of them shouted.

Their reaction time was very poor. It took them long enough just to ready themselves to defend. Had it been a real enemy attack they would have most certainly perished with the first few seconds. 

" Where is this? Who are you?" asked the boy as he looked around trying to find his bearing. 

The prisoners looked at each other and had no idea what to say.

Their self-appointed leader stepped forward with caution and shouted, " How dare you sneak upon us! Where did you come from? you wretch!" 

" What the hell are you doing? Don't you see! He is just one boy! Get him tonight we shall enjoy." His eyes were full of lust.

The boy was none other than Diaz. The stubborn one who wouldn't leave without seeing Keiser. He was one of the six people who entered the portal when it became unstabilised.

For what are they fighting for? That is the question.

The countries of the world were uniformly small constantly battling each other for land, power and oppurtunity. Basically for supremacy.

And amidst all this wars, two clans emerged as the strongest, The Senju Clan - famed for their balance skills in all the shinobi arts, and The Uchiha Clan - famed for their dreadful Sharingan.

Between this two clans they shared the same emnity they held towards each other, no one knows when it started but what do the other surviving clans knew is that they wanted the other to be destroyed.

However, despite the clans enmity it was the Senju Clan and the Uchiha Clan that bought an end towards the Warring State Period.

Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha the respective leaders of the Senju and Uchiha when were both young met each other by chance by what they called fate, not knowing at that time the others identity.

They quickly became friends, bonding over the deaths of their brothers, their desire to protect their remaining siblings, and their dreams of a peaceful world where children wouldn't need to fight.

Unfortunatly, they eventually knew and learn who the other was, preventing them from continuing to meet under friendly circumstances. Over the years, the two now only met each other from the battlefield killing each others clansmen to protect their own.

When both of them became the leaders of their respective clan, they tried to broke the enmity their clan held to each other by convincing them by what peace could bring.

Although Madara was tempted, the death of his brother, Izuna, committed him to continue fighting. The other Uchihas though was tempted and agreed to the Senju in growing numbers. With his support running out. Madara made a last stand against the Senju and was summarily defeated. From his defeat and Hashirama's willingness to give his own life to stop the bloodshed. Madara was convinced to agreed to the Senju's proposal.

The allied Senju and Uchiha formed a pact with the Land of Fire to allow them to establish a shinobi village within its borders, what would be called Konohagakure. Other clans wishing to share in the new peace settled in Konoha as well, the Shimura and Sarutobi clans being amongst the first. Other clans in other countries, fearful of the combined might of the Senju and Uchiha, created their own villages. Thus was the Warring States Period brought to an end, replaced by the Shinobi Organisational System of the Five Great Shinobi Countries.

In a world where ninjas existed and wars are fought for supremacy where would Haru Uchiha be place in all this chaos.

Join Haru Uchiha as he experience through hardships, betrayal, love, hate and friendship.

Join him as he embarked on his journey towards his goal with the Will of Fire in his heart and the company of his love ones.

This Fan-Fiction will be very long like maybe at the end this novel will end in my estimation of 500+ chapters.

REMINDER!: This is not a Fan- fiction where the Main Character is ultra-overpowered, like having the sharingan at a very early age and having the rinnegan at like the age of 4 years old. This Fan-fiction is a story where our Main Character would experience some hardships in his life(Later on), and would advance and grow in power with talent, hardwork and oppurtunity. From me to be defeated like this…by this boy. How wasn't I was able to trance his power unless he used my own power from my transformation to create a clone. Its my own power so I wouldn't think nothing of it. I laugh in pain but I cared nothing less of it as I soaked in my own blood. This was as it should. I bequeath to Damon my power and my blood. I give you the blade of Evinty and honor you becoming a Prime a every Prime needs a beast….even though I don't like refer my own daughter as one but her sprit will bound to yours forever that is my wish. Thomas you son of a bitch knew didn't you that this boy is beyond comprehsion. To be able to take in the energy of me is well…it doesn't matter. It time to place my life force into him Thomas won't be happy that I made improvements to the boy but hey what can I say about my own nephew.  I closed my eyes and let the false moon shine on me sigh what a beautiful night .... ...It's a boy a voice stated. "whawaha" ( baby cries). 


Damon woke with his  eyes burning and sweat was dripping down his face.  Alarmed he was that still didn't stop him from thinking about the realist dream he  just had. The memory still stings in with his head. "Maybe it was those near future type of dream and it was telling me something trouble is going to happen."  Damon mumbles to himself as he  yawn no longer in the mood to think.  As he was without a shirt and almost…. partly naked.  Damon been dealing with dreams like these since he could remember constantly feeling  dreadful like he's forgetting something very important. Like right now as he stare outside the window looking beyond the blue skies. No use of worrying about it right, said Damon out loud. Sadly he received no reply nor was it entirely a bad thing for very good reasons. For 16years Damon  always wanted that a random a lady will claim his  as their child and be gone from the hell hole which he lived. Sadly that dream stayed just a dream. You see Damon is an orphan was placed in the system since birth. From foster home to foster home filled with broken promises to situations that will give grown adults nightmares. Damon got off the make shift berth and walked to the small closet to prepare himself for school. He careful brought out his school uniform with pride as it was  the only thing he personally owned.

To be born you will have to live but to live you will have to fight and to fight you will have to take a life and once you take one life you easily take another. You will always struggle no matter what path you take as human beings that just the way we are made thrive out of chaos born from chaos welcome to hell hope you enjoy the ride.

"Who are you?"

That one question halted all sounds in the vibrant courtyard. 

His heart racing at a million kilometres an hour, Shin's face turned red, and a thousand beads of sweat dripped down his body, drenching his entire back in the process. Longyu Tian's expression had become deadpan, and all kindness in her eyes had vanished entirely. If Shin lied in his answer, he was confident that the Spirit Saint would make appropriate measures to make him regret his actions.

Steeling his nerves, Shin gulped down a mouthful of saliva before raising his right palm up to his chest. 

"Instead of telling you, it would be faster to show you, who I am..."

"Hoho..." 

Shin closed his eyes and looked deep down into his Spirit Core. A cerulean light began to congregate from the depths of his soul as a scaly figure formed within his outreached palm. In an instant, the adorable Sovereign Koi reappeared in the material realm with a face full of playfulness and delight. 

After six years of training, the Sovereign Koi had doubled its original size and was now equivalent to that of a common trout. Its scales now had a tinge of golden and silver hue, intensifying its overall cerulean colour multiple folds. Jiggling about in the air and flapping its fins, the Sovereign Koi turned to look at the black-haired woman in front of Shin with a glance of confusion. It felt some familiarity, but it couldn't understand why…

"N-No way!!!" For the first time since she showed herself, Longyu Tian turned as pale as a sheet, completely blowing apart her aloof front that she had put on for Shin. 

Almost instantaneously, the Spirit Saint's eyes turned golden, and she intensely examined the cerulean Sovereign Koi in Shin's hands. Her swift actions had made Shin, and his Spirit jerk back in shock, but her immense grip pulled the pair back into her midst. 

Shin and the Spirit Saint's faces were now inches away from each other, so much so that a stray warm breath would tingle their eyelids in a coy manner. While Shin was being perturbed by such an unnecessary distraction, Longyu Tian's golden eyes permeated through every scale of the Sovereign Koi's body, making it feel extremely jittery in the process.

Not willing to waste this chance, Longyu Tian's body emitted out a golden light as a tremendous shadowy body began to form behind her. The figure was twice as large as a fully-grown adult tiger, but it had the flexibility to coil itself around the Spirit Saint as if it were a python enveloping its prey.

Just like that, the Golden Sovereign Koi, the most infamous Spirit in the entire Lantis Republic, had made its appearance in the Land of Dreams. Its four whiskers acted like an insects feelers and gently caressed the Sovereign Koi within Shin's hands, and a dazzling celestial light shone from its forehead onto the Shin's Spirit.

From an outsider's perspective, it was as if a mother fish had been reunited with its long lost child. Of course, the reality was far more sinister. Bearing the Mark of the Celestial Dragon, and being a Rank 90 Spirit, the Golden Sovereign Koi was attempting to mark its dominance over the newborn Spirit, just like it always did. Whenever it revealed its power, all Spirits that were below its cultivation level would bow in reverence, as if they were subjects to its kingdom. 

However, instead of feeling oppressed, the Sovereign Koi levitating above Shin's palms revealed a delighted smile, seemingly refreshed by the wave of energy that was being supplied in its direction.

"T-This can't be!!!" Longyu Tian nearly fell to the floor. Her eyes were shining with a mixture of fear and angst… And perhaps even a little glee. After becoming a Spirit Saint, she had washed her hands off any mortal matters, and there was little that could ever hope to faze her. Yet, at this point in time, she was acting as if she were a little girl in a candy shop. 

"Sovereign Koi!!! And a power to resist my Mark!!! That's why I couldn't see past you!!! That's why I was compelled to come and meet you!!!" Tightening her grip over Shin's wrist, Longyu Tian slowly pulled the boy closer to herself, treating Shin like the most precious treasure in the whole world. "You have the Mark of the Celestial Dragon as well!!!"

"..." Against that intense fervour, Shin could only nod, not disagreeing with what the Spirit Saint had said.

Realising her folly, Longyu Tian released her hold on Shin and coughed twice in embarrassment. For a Spirit Saint to act in such an absurd manner, not to mention to a person that she had just met, it was unbecoming of her status. Nonetheless, Longyu Tian couldn't contain her excitement and was smiling from ear to ear.

"Child, what's your name?" All this while, Longyu Tian had yet to ask the most critical question.

"Shin..." The black-haired boy's mouth twitched from side to side as if he were fighting some sort of internal battle. However, the conflict within him concluded in less than a second before he finally revealed his last name. "My name is Shin… Awter."

Not Iofiel, but Awter. That was Shin's real name that only a select few knew.

"Awter?!" Once again, Longyu Tian nearly dropped her jaw to the floor. "Awter… No that makes sense! To think that there was someone that survived that dreadful massacre..."

As the strongest and most influential cultivator of the Longyu Clan, Longyu Tian obviously knew the history that the Awter and Longyu Clan had. Sixteen years ago, when the Awter Clan was on the verge of extinction, the Longyu Clan had actually readied its arms to assist their distant kin. If not for the overwhelming opposition from the seven other ancient clans, as well as the threat of imminent war with the Himmel Empire, the Longyu Clan would have thoroughly annihilated the Frie Clan for killing off their brethren.

Her face turning tender, Longyu Tian brought Shin into her chest and started to comfort the boy. The earlier distance that she had built had all but crumbled down as she finally comprehended the blood ties that they had.

"Shin, tell me… How have you lived your life?" There were so many questions that Longyu Tian wanted to ask from Shin, but she had decided to learn more about the background of this young boy. 

"I… Have no recollection of the Awter Clan..." Shin pushed the shoulders of the Spirit Saint away from his body and began to recount his life. "I was raised by the Frie Clan as an orphan. I didn't know about the battle between the two clans until just recently."

Shin opened up everything. The relationship he shared with the First Elder and the Instructor. How the orphans were ostracised in the Frie Clan by the Second Elder's faction. The incident where the First Elder nearly tore the Clan apart due to the Second Elder's assassination attempt on Shin. Being sent to Chilyoja Waypoint to become a healer under Lady Seph. His relationship with Junius and how he was ultimately corrupted to join the Black Masks alongside Vellan and the other remnants of the Frie Clan. Finally, Shin told the Spirit Saint the darkest part of his history. The moment where the Black Masks killed off Ariel and destroyed the hopes and dreams of Shin entirely.

"Shin..." Longyu Tian listened in, attentively. The boy in front her was barely sixteen-years-old, and yet he had the life experience that would trump any regular adult. 

"You have suffered." Longyu Tian brought the boy into her arms once more. This time, Shin didn't resist. Although they had just met for the first time, there was a certain familiarity in her scent. He couldn't describe it. It was as if a long lost puzzle piece that had been missing in his life had finally been filled. 

Shin snuggled in the woman's embrace for ages before coming to his wits. Pushing the Spirit Saint away, the youth blushed in bashfulness and bowed down at a ninety-degree angle.

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be." Longyu Tian assured the youth. In fact, she didn't mind if Shin stayed in her arms for the remainder of the Summit. "I had met Longyu Yuan, your great-grandfather, once when I was just a mere child. He was rebellious and obstinate and would do anything to get his way. Ultimately, his character had led to his expulsion and renouncement of his family name, but his children bore no sin. If only the Elders of the Longyu Clan back then weren't that headstrong… Perhaps this whole tragedy, your tragedy, could have been avoided."

Longyu Tian felt sorry for Shin as well as the deceased individuals of the Awter Clan. While they bore the bloodline of the Longyu Clan, they didn't possess any formal ties to the Lantis Republic. Thus, it was almost impossible for the Longyu Clan to justify their involvement in the Himmel Empire. If the older generation weren't that stubborn, the Awter Clan would have been absorbed back into the Longyu Clan ages ago, preventing the dreadful massacre that had led to Shin becoming an orphan.

"Could you… Turn back time?" Shin meekly asked. As impossible as it may sound, the young boy had a flicker of hope that the Spirit Saint could perform a miracle. 

"The past is the past..." Longyu Tian shook her head. She may be the Spirit Saint of time, but even she had no abilities that could rewind the clock. 

"Time is like the Celestial River. An ever flowing entity that can never be resisted. You could place a rock in it, or even build a dam to slow it down, but the only thing that you can never do is reverse its flow." The Spirit Saint sighed. Time reversal was something that she had once considered when she triggered her Spirit Evolution. If she could master the art, she would be able to save all of her beloved family and friends that had perished over the years. 

However, as she grew older and her comprehension over the element began to mature, Longyu Tian started to understand how naive she was. She could affect the present and even influence the future through her sights, but the past could never be changed. 

"I see..." The wish that Shin had shattered. Here he was, hoping that Longyu Tian could resurrect Ariel and those who passed from the dead. Alas, there was a reason why miracles were called impossible feats. 

"I'm sorry, Shin." Longyu Tian could tell how much he loved this Ariel girl from the Frie Clan, just by how broken down, the boy looked just moments prior. She too had felt the pain of losing her loved one to the annals of time, and the Spirit Saint knew that there was only one remedy for the pain that Shin was feeling. For Shin to get over Ariel's death, there was only one thing that he could do, and funnily enough, it was to wait for the time to pass.

'No… I still have one other hope! If I reach the Immortal Realm, there's a chance to find Yggdrasil!!!' Reaffirming his desire to become the next Spirit Immortal, Shin's gloomy expression changed to one of immense ambition. 

"Saint Longyu Tian… I have actually come here with a motive in mind."

"Please, don't be so informal." The woman gently smiled and stroked the young boy's hair. Shin was a descendant of the Longyu Clan as well as a bearer of the Mark of the Celestial Dragon. There was no need for Shin to treat her so distantly. "Call me Aunt Tian."

"No, how could I?!" 

Calling a Spirit Saint his aunt? Only those with a death wish would do such a thing.

"Saint Longyu Tian. I have a bold request, and I know that it's presumptuous of me to ask..." Shin immediately went onto his knees and kowtowed to the black-haired woman. Yes, it was unsightly, but for him to accomplish his dreams, Shin had to take this drastic step. Even if he had to climb the highest mountain and dive to the deepest depths of the ocean, Shin must convince the Spirit Saint to agree to his request.

"Please, let me get baptised by the Celestial River!"

"Okay."

"Huh?" 

Shin stood stupefied. Did Longyu Tian just agree to his request? Just like that?

"Shin… You share my blood, and you have the Mark of the Celestial Dragon. Of course, you deserve to get baptised!" Longyu Tian smiled. Nonetheless, there was one caveat to her swift approval. 

"Come… Let us return… Let us return to your rightful home." Longyu Tian was ready to pounce and fly off with Shin, ignoring the Summit and the procession from the Lantis Republic altogether. "Let us return to Longyu Reef."

Over a million years ago, the first human contracted with the first Spirit. Ever since then, Spirit use has become commonplace. Humans used Spirits to carry items and start fires. Eventually, even start wars. Thousands upon thousands of years past and one day, one human did the impossible. He transcended his mortality and ascended to the realm above.  

In the present day, the Frie Clan was once a great clan of the Himmel empire. However, a devastating battle ten years ago crippled the clan and their numbers dwindled. To make up for their loss, the upper echelons decided to adopt young orphans and nurture them to become a future pillar of the weakened clan. Shin was one of those orphans. 

Although picked up by the Frie Clan, not all is smooth sailing for Shin and the other orphans...
