The night was deep and dark, and the camp lights which were normally brighter than the stars were unlit tonight. Most of the camp was immersed in darkness so pervasive that the faint yellowish halo of the Dragon King's tent was very conspicuous.
There was no officer urging the soldiers and servants to work. This evening, they mourned in the dark.
While Liman was running over, he had happened to see the Dragon King fighting with Old Man Mu, and an audience numbering in the dozens standing in the doorway. In addition to the guards of the Dragon King, there were also curious soldiers from the Court Attendants Army.
He squeezed into the tent and initially wanted to say something but stopped on second thought. Instead, he sat down and quietly watched the unexpected kung fu competition.
It was not so much a competition as Old Man Mu's performance. He was showing off all of the fist and foot techniques he had learned. The only problem was that he spoke so quickly that the many people who were trying to follow along could not enjoy the competition in front of them.
"This's the Five Form Fist, and has nothing to do with the Five Hole Punch, nor the five elements of metal, wood, earth, water, and fire. It's the five styles of tiger, leopard, bear, wolf, and crane. The tiger form functions as the commander-in-chief, the leopard the vanguard, the bear the main force, the wolf the auxiliary force, and the crane the ambusher. Gu Shenwei still didn't draw his saber. He was focusing on adjusting his tactics based on what he had learned, from relying on his nimble footwork to having steady movement patterns. The style of his palm attack was still very simple and bland but it was slowly becoming more and more powerful. Old Man Mu actually had less and less room to twist and turn as they continued battling.
"Not bad, not bad. You should have tried this earlier. You are still playing around like a killer. It's alright if you have a saber because then you can kill the enemy in one attack, so the faster you move the better. But you are barehanded now and can't finish the opponent off in one move, so you have to play both the offensive and defensive lines. Now, look at my 'Seven Circles Flower Picker.' Just from the name, you can tell that it's a kung fu skill of the madwoman of the Waning Moon Hall. It's called a 'picker,' but it's actually a hidden steel needle. Old Man Mu's skills in fist and foot were much better than Gu Shenwei's. As he finished his words, he had already made a complete turn around the Dragon King and poked out seven times in a row. After using all his techniques, he leaped to Shangguan Ru and breathed out, "Heh heh…"
He had a bellyful of boastful things to say but was only able to let out a short laugh before he flopped to the ground and shivered. He used his right hand to prop himself off the ground, stood up, and exclaimed in a hoarse voice, "Strange!"
Old Man Mu could only exert sixty to seventy percent of his full power but his fist and foot techniques were still far ahead of the Dragon King's. Gu Shenwei had removed several of the fiercest finger energy instilled into his body but he still had two acupoints that were sealed.
Gu Shenwei stood still, so no one knew that he had been frozen. He channeled his internal Qi several times to unblock it but failed, so he could only order, "Help me restore my acupoints."
Only then did the crowd know that the Dragon King had been defeated. Shangguan Fei was particularly surprised, who took a deep breath and wondered if he should give up the Five Hole Punch to learn the Heart Stopping Finger.
Old Man Mu was not at ease either. He had struck seven times but as a price received seven strands of frosty Qi in return. Daring not to fight against it, he guarded his heart meridian. There was still a bit of it remaining, so he feebly said, "The Dragon King's internal energy is too strange, and I, Old Man Mu can't use his internal Qi. Good girl, I can only bother you for a favor because of everyone here, only you know the Heart Stopping Finger besides me."
Seeing that Shangguan Ru was still skeptical about it, Old Man Mu shivered again, his face seemingly frosting over. He pointed to his throat as if he suddenly could not speak.
Shangguan Ru walked to the Dragon King, feeling calm but also feeling her body heating up for no reason. She first poked the Dragon King in the chest to check the sealed acupoints and also the nature of the internal energy. Then she poked twice to restore them and immediately retreated to the side.
Gu Shenwei glanced over Shangguan Ru's head and held his breath for fear of blowing her hair or inhaling that familiar smell.
He could move now, and the first thing he did was to take back his saber and sword. With them, kung fu masters like Old Man Mu would no longer dare to approach him.
Without noticing the little drama hidden in the scene, Liman immediately walked up to him and said, "The lords may have arrived at the camp by now."
"Hmm, who's the new candidate?"
"A captain called Tuershan." There was a hint of dissatisfaction in Liman's voice. "He's the least controversial, but he's not a… nobleman." Liman lowered his voice as he said the last word but his discontent became even more evident.
Most of the officers of the Court Attendants Army were from noble families and occupied almost the entire upper echelon of the army. The ordinary soldiers could only rise to the rank of centurions at most no matter how many contributions they made. But by tradition, one of the ten captains was always picked from ordinary soldiers since he would have no support from a noble family and though would be the weakest in the Norland, would also have the fewest enemies.
"Isn't that for the best? He may be the best person to mend the division." Gu Shenwei pointed out the contradiction in Liman's excuse. Liman had realized the split between the commoners and the nobles of the Norland but he himself placed lots of importance on pedigree.
Liman sighed. "I hope so. Anyway, he won't be chosen… Azheba and the others are on the move."
If the mutiny was successful, then the Court Attendants Army would be divided and no one could be the Commandant; if the mutiny failed, the Commandant would be one of the other four, and Tuershan wouldn't even have a chance.
"Everybody, stay in the tent and light up another lamp," Gu Shenwei ordered. "Let's continue practicing the fist technique. Shangguan Fei, go fight with Old Man Mu."
The first two orders were fine, but the Dragon King's insistence on continuing to practice the fist technique really baffled everyone.
Shangguan Fei liked to guess at the Dragon King's ideas so he was the first to get it, whispering, "They'll go on making trouble, and we'll focused on practicing kung fu. This is the so-called self-concern, so that no one can blame us later."
That was pretty much what Gu Shenwei meant, and he also really wanted to patch his weakness in fist techniques. Though it still caused pain to its master, the frosty Qi had turned from a hidden danger to a weapon. He had gotten used to it, and the biggest problem for him was that he lacked the subtle techniques to easily infuse it into the enemy's body.
The soldiers who were watching the fight all dispersed, and the remaining dozen or so either sat or stood in a ring. Two lamps were lit on the left and the right side. Old Man Mu rubbed his hands and said, "Well, Old Man Mu can play again. Shangguan Fei, get ready to be beaten."
Shangguan Fei understood the Dragon King's goodwill, but he really didn't want to fight with Old Man Mu because it would be troublesome for him no matter if he could defeat the other side or not. Standing at where he was, Shangguan Fei stammered, "I've already fought with the Dragon King. My sister hasn't played yet, and her kung fu has always been better than mine…"
Old Man Mu began to stare at him, and the skin around his eye sockets became much smoother. "How dare you disobey me? How dare you! Come, before I have to enforce military law…"
Two riders dismounted from their horses in front of the tent and rescued Shangguan Fei from his predicament.
Dressed in a monk's attire, Lianqing was completely out-of-place in the military camp. He looked ferocious as if he was full of pent-up anger. Without greeting anyone, he directly strode to Shangguan Ru. No one knew he was going to protect or fight her.
Fang Wenshi was full of sweat and panted heavily. He glanced at the monk and ran straight to the Dragon King while muttering 'All is well'.
The kings had entered the camp. The two of them finally slipped inside as part of their entourage. Instead of going to the main tent, they directly came looking for the Dragon King.
"I'll have a word with the counselor. Everybody stay outside and don't wander too far."
Shangguan Fei heaved a sigh of relief. "Let's go. It's cooler outside."
Gu Shenwei then turned to Shangguan Ru, "Please stay."
Shangguan Ru, who had taken a step out , was a bit surprised but still stopped.
Liman hurried to ask, "What does the Dragon King want me to do?"
"You have to make your own decision."
Liman did face a choice. If he stayed, he would be the Dragon King's man and have nothing to do with the mutiny; if he helped, he would get involved in a battle that had little chance of winning.
"They are my friends," said Liman with difficulty.
"I understand." Gu Shenwei did not regard Liman as a subordinate so he would not order him around.
Looking at the rapidly disappearing Liman, Shangguan Ru was a bit hesitant. Those officers, in a sense, were also her 'friends,' but she decided to stay.
Fang Wenshi came into the camp with Lianqing but now he just looked at the other side and refused to talk.
Lianqing glared back and said, "What? You want me to leave here? No way!"
Shangguan Ru could only open her mouth. "Monk, I'll just stay here in the tent. Do you think that I can disappear into thin air?" 
Gu Shenwei said nothing but Lianqing defiantly shot a glance at him before reluctantly walking out of the tent.
"What's wrong with this monk?" Fang Wenshi asked in a low voice, "He insisted on entering the camp and said that he would kill anyone who dared to stop him."
Shangguan Ru smiled bitterly. "It is all my fault, because… For some reason, he believes that part of his Master's soul is on me, so…"
"So he wants to keep an eye on this part of the soul to prevent it from getting away?" Fang Wenshi felt it was unbelievable.
"Pretty much." Shangguan Ru did not care. She didn't tell anyone that Fayan had transferred his internal energy to her, and only ambiguously revealed a little bit to Lianqing, which was what had caused the other side's misunderstanding.
Fang Wenshi shook his head. "Do the monks also believe in this kind of stuff?" Then he turned to the Dragon King, "May I say it?"
"Go ahead." Gu Shenwei replied
Shangguan Ru's heart moved a bit, knowing how much trust there was in those two simple words.

"I knew you are strong but to think that you have reach such a level and also reach the peak of your clan kung fu skills." Looking Gao Liang straight in the eyes Loi Pei show a content smile.

"Same goes for you, to think that I will be facing an opponent like you this early heavenly general Loi Pei. Sadly, our battle will have to end here." Gao Liang smiled back and showing the urges to continue fighting but decided to push that urge back for now since they are still fighting a tough battle right now inside an enemy camp.

"Ohhhh? I don't remember saying that you can leave." Raising his brows Loi Pei answered with a voice full of authorities telling Gao Liang that he can't leave unless permitted.

"Well that depends if you can keep me here general." Gao Liang just shrugged it off after hearing Loi Pei response because he have another trump card up his sleeve and for the first time Gao Liang will show it in battle since he felt that Loi Pei is a worthy opponent.

"Dragon of destruction!"

Once he said those words, a bloody aura start to come out of Gao Liang body and soon it covers his entire body. Getting denser and denser by the second then take shape of a red scale armor with the red mist still moving around it. But not only that, behind Gao Liang a vague image of something similar to dragon wings appear!

But their is two downside to this skill, the first thing is that this skill will only last the maximum of thirty seconds. Second thing is that if the martial artist use this skill past thirty seconds then the faster they would go berserk and loose their sanity!

At the light pillar in the center, Fu Zhenzhen was the first one to exchange. She got the Chapter of Medicine King, one Heavenly Acumen Pill, and one bottle of Ganoderma Qi Replenish Pills. Zhang Yuanshan and Jiang Zhiwei really only respectively exchanged for the Bone Conditioning Chapter of the Yijin Scripture and the Wuqing part of the Scripture Sacred Spirit Sword Art (Swords Skills 19 to Swords Skills 22).
Qi Zhengyan thought for a while and only exchanged for two bottles of Hiding And Healing Elixir, for he decided to choose others after he picked up other weapons.

He hesitated to exchange the first four scripts of Golden Bell Shield with the Dominator of Samsara in Six Realms because Master was so nice to him. If he did so, he was going against his principles and could only get 80 or 90-110 Karma points. He could not even exchange Kung Fu, like Sky Demon Butchering Mighty Art. Even though he added his remaining 140 Karma points, he still had less than 300 Karma points.
Thus, he directly read from Refined Weapons that were less than 200 Karma points. If there was something appropriate, he would not violate his principles.

Hearing this, it occurred to Meng Qi that he was "isolated" because of Zhen Yong's stealing incident, and he would be considered as his accomplice if he had lots of scrolls of mystery with him. But if he left them in this world, he did not have to remember them. How could he practice then?
Therefore, he asked the Dominator of Samsara in Six Realms whether he could ask for permission in advance for entering this world again during the midpoint.
The voice of the Dominator of Samsara in Six Realms was still cold:
"You cannot enter Samsara World in the intervals between two tasks of Samsara unless you exchange Karma points for cultivation time and decide on the date you plan to enter this world.
"But when you return to your world, you can send an inanimate and specified object to a specified place once."
Hearing the latter sentence, Meng Qi was relieved. He put "Red Sun Evil Blade", Pearflower Storm Needles, and his white frock in his room, changed into a gray frock and took another Buddhist Commandment Blade—not taken by others, his package was transmitted back at the same time. There were green normal clothes, gray frocks, bamboo hats, and a spare Buddhist Commandment Blade in it, so he did not need to exchange anything with Karma points.
Then, he asked the Dominator of Samsara in Six Realms to put things like the Chapter of Sinew Changing and Bone Forging and Heavenly Acumen Pills into the tree hole of the Bodhi tree in Xuan Bei's yard.
A white light flashed. Meng Qi seemed to sleep for a while, but soon opened his eyes. He was already back in his meditation room.
"President Wu Jing, Zhen Ding and Zhen Hui are inside."
At the moment, the voice of Zhen Miao reverberated in the yard.


I care not of my past and neither of my future.
Conquering all heroes and foes while looking with disdain at the horrors of the Samsara, I yearn only for a life of thrilling wonders!
History will repeat itself after many ages as the menace of the Great Calamity rises once more.
Which will rise with triumph in the face of adversity; the Golden Form of the Great Buddha or the invincible Heavenly Taoist Form?
Which will seize all glory amidst all struggles; The Buddha's Palms or the  Seven Strokes of Heaven's Interception?
From the sanctum of the Shaolin Temple, Meng Qi's adventures and struggles through the Samsara begin as we follow his climb to claim the title of "the Unrivaled and the Invincible One"!


The Qielan Temple looked quiet and mellow. It seemed like no one was in there. Neither Buddhist chants nor the sound of wooden fish could be heard.
The man in green walked through the temple door with Shen Lian and arrived at the main hall.
The hall was flanked by rows of statues of the eighteen Qielan on both sides, including Meiyin, Fanyin, Tiangu, Tanmiao, Tanmei, Momiao, Leiyin, Shizi, Miaotan, Fanxiang, Renyin, Fonu, Songde, Guangmu, Miaoyan, Cheting, Cheshi, and Bianshi.
Qielan had its root in tranquillity. If one were to be rid of three poisons, to purify their six senses, to remain neutral and at ease, and to be tranquil in every aspect, that would be the Cultivation of Qielan.
Despite being a Buddhist teaching, this was applicable to Daoism too.
There was a person in the hall. He held a wooden fish in his hand. The wooden fish was greyish silver and had the lips and scale of a fish. The engravings were lively and natural.
The person looked like he was thirty years old at the same time, he looked as if he was in his twenties. There was no mustache on his fair and spotless face. His eyebrows were like a pair of a reclining silkworm; they were full of life and looked animated.
Of course, these were not the most eye-catching part of him. The most noticeable feature was his head - there was not a strand of hair on it.
Usually, there would be stubble on a monk's head.
However, his was a smooth and shiny one, it looked as though no hair had ever grown on his head before, not a single follicle on it.
Shen Lian noticed him and found his head to be too shiny and scarless to be a monk.
He knew that this was the man, Ling Chongxiao. That the man in green had been talking about. What a special person indeed.
"Ling Chongxiao oh, Ling Chongxiao, why have you become a bald donkey?" The man in green was surprised by what he saw. He laughed as the initial shock had passed.
"I got bald, and stronger too," Ling Chongxiao was not bothered by it and replied casually.
The man in green gave Shen Lian a toss. Shen Lian flew across the hall to the corner and landed right under the furthest Qielan statue.
Shen Lian's back was rested against the statue. He might not be able to move, but he had the entire hall in view.
"What you did was just unblocking the entry point, and have reached what the Daoists termed as the state of 'taming the white tiger'. What is there to gloat about?" The man in green snickered.
Hairs were the tip of Qi energy. Daoists would lose their hairs after 'taming the white tiger'; by obstructing the pores and the process of aging could be delayed. It would be no surprise if one could live till hundred and forty or fifty years old and still be as fit as a youth.
When a man had reached this state, it was known as 'taming the white tiger[1]'. The female equivalent would be known as 'slaying the red dragon[2]'.
When one had reached this stage, although not invincible, the person would not be the same person anymore. That was the first step of laying down the groundwork of Daoism, also known as 'building a foundation'.
Besides 'building a foundation', the same could be said about all the other Kung Fu. Out of the hundreds and thousands of cultivators, there might not even be one person who could reach this stage. Of course, this observation would not apply to those with celestial affinity.
The martial sects that Ling Chongxiao and the man in green were in were, after all, a Jianghu sect. Though originated from Daoism, it was not part of Celestialism. Thus, his attainment could be akin to the son of the village chief becoming a municipal party committee – a carp leaping over dragon's gate.
"Why would I be pleased with myself? Do you not remember what master said when he gifted 'Tai Wei' to me? He told me to bring 'Tai Wei' along everywhere I go, as a gentle reminder to commit myself to Daoism. Fish do not close their eyes even at night, which resemble cultivators who are so committed to their cultivation and training that they do not notice the passing of days and nights."
Shen Lian found the words to be wise indeed. Fish stay awake at all times and sounding a wooden fish served as a warning to not be idle. One should commit themselves to cultivation, and should not give up until they have attained success.
As the saying goes, 'The human heart is treacherous, the Daoist mind is profound'; it served as a constant reminder to not stray onto the path of no return.
"If I haven't been adhering to the master's teaching when he was alive, what made you think that I will do so after his death? Death by my hand no less," the man in green snickered. In his eyes, to destroy and exterminate the progenitor was no big deal; he did not feel guilty at all.
"You thought that you can act on your whims and kill without restraint having understood the essence of Daoism? What you didn't know was being free has no connection with what you can do, but what you can choose not to do." Ling Chongxiao was not irritated by the man in green; he remained patient and offered his gentle advice. 
"Even until today, you still think that you are superior to me, and posit yourself as my superior."
"Master's ashes are here. When you die, I will not disperse your ashes in the wind. Instead, I will allow you to stay here and accompany our Master so that you could deliver your apology to him in the afterlife." Ling Chongxiao wrinkled his brows and sighed.
He made it sounded as though the man in green was doomed to die.
"Nice one, Ling Chongxiao. If I were to die by your hands, do you dare to pass my Kung Fu on to him?" the man in green replied in a low voice.
It was hard to believe that he admitted that Ling Chongxiao was better, and his intention to entrust Shen Lian to him.
"To educate someone brimming with potential would be the most pleasing and joyous experience in the world," Ling Chongxiao replied neutrally.
"Shen Lian, if I have lost and if you are capable of doing so in the future, could you beat Ling Chongxiao once for me? If you agree, blink thrice," said the man in green.
Shen Lian did not blink, not even once.
"It seems like even your young companion here do not agree with your ways." Ling Chongxiao glanced toward Shen Lian and remarked nonchalantly.
"You thought too lowly of him. He is not too fond of me, indeed. However, what he intended was for me to defeat you with my own hands," the man in green replied merrily.
'This man is heinous and evil, but I must admit that he is a man through and through,' Shen Lian thought.
What Ling Chongxiao said was true, that was exactly what was on his mind. However, Shen Lian did not mean it as a gesture of kindness to the man in green.
Shen Lian refused to be a continuation of someone else; he was Shen Lian, just himself and nothing more.
The fact that the man in green guessed it, it said a lot about him as a person; despite being an atrocious man, he was candid and frank.
As these were going through in his head, there was a roar as loud as lightning in the hall.
The rain got heavier outside, it was a downpour of massive scale.
It was as if the raindrops were trying to mask the fight that was about to break out, a fight between the apprentice from the same sect.
As they were from the same martial sect, their knowledge mirrored each other.
Despite how laidback Ling Chongxiao looked, he struck like a lightning. Due to his enormous strength, he left behind a trail of cracks along with every step he took on the stone floor. This showed how aggressive he was and was a clear indication of his sheer robust strength.
The key was how all of his moves seemed clumsy, yet they were actually wisely orchestrated. His moves were potent and fluid, and he clearly was not going to stop anytime soon.
His palm method was akin to waves; one wave followed another, and they were closing up to the shore.
Ling Chongxiao's remarkable momentum was a result of 'taming the white tiger'; his Qi energy was locked in, and his physical strength was beyond comprehension.
Things were different with the man in green. His attacks used to be strong and vicious. However, having been through the extremities of the desert, he reached an epiphany about the ways of the world.
No Kung Fu was comparable to the power of natural disasters in the desert.
When a sandstorm came, no amount of cow, goats, and stallions, or even military troops could defend against it.
The only way to remain unscathed was by merging with the wind and embracing the sun and the dust.
The man in green let his sleeves flow with the wind and neutralized all of Ling Chongxiao's forceful attacks with the gentle breeze.
He looked like a green butterfly, dancing away to the rhythm of the wind.
In spite of the contrast in their move, one being forceful and the other flexible, the essence of Daoism was still evident in their moves. Their attacks were natural and free and were not restricted by the rigidity of martial arts routine.
[1] 降白虎 - this is an interesting expression Daoists use to say, 'to stop (tame) ejaculating (white tiger)'.
[2] 斩赤龙 - this is an interesting expression Daoists use to say 'stopping (slaying) menstruation (red dragon)', or 'menopause'.


What is a Daoist Master? One that is imageless in ten directions and vanishes in the six paths; unrestrained by the three realms and the five elements.                                                                                                                                           
After a day at the clinic, Dr. Li Feng met with an accident on his way home. When he regained consciousness, Li Feng found himself in the body of a weak teenage boy who was born out of wedlock, Shen Lian. Who was the father? The mother would not tell. A scripture he found among his mother’s remnants was the only thing he knew about his father.                                                                                                    
The mother came from a wealthy and well known family. When Shen Lian was recalled back to the Shen family, he was entitled for part of the grandfather’s inheritance and businesses. Despite the grand value, Shen Lian did not take a cent with him when he decided to leave the family. Why would he leave this comfortable life behind?                                      
His journey with this new identity brought him into this new world as he travelled between realms in search of knowledge to improve his Daoist skills. As he conquered trial after trial, would he become the chosen one? Will he succeed in becoming the Daoist Master? Only time will tell.

Even though the factions around Great Qin were all quite powerful, Great Qin was still the most powerful. Right now, Great Qin had 2,000 City Lords, and its might covered the surrounding 1,000 or so regions. It had to be known that China's northern side only had 2,000 regions or so in total.
With Great Qin expressing its goodwill, not a single faction did not dare to accept it. Even those who hated players had to choose to establish friendly relations with Great Qin.
With the appearance of harmony on the outside, Zhao Fu started to clear out regions and construct the Great Wall. Great Qin once again fell silent, quietly expanding as it waited for its chance to bare its fangs.
A few days later, Great Qin prepared 250 million coffins and placed them in the Yin Qi Formation in an orderly fashion. The soldiers lying in the coffins all gave off a faint might, as they were all Stage 1 soldiers. Such a massive gathering of corpses was quite a spectacular scene.
When so many corpses were placed in the Yin Qi Formation, an extremely terrifying shockwave rippled out as if there was something terrifying being birthed, and the entire region was covered by this terrifying aura.
Traces of Yin Qi rose up from the ground, and ordinary people who stepped into this region would feel an extremely cold chill, making them tremble. No amount of clothes could stop this coldness, and if they stayed here for a long time, their bodies would be corroded by the Yin Qi, resulting in death.
This region had already become a region of Yin Qi, and no living creature could reside here. Zhao Fu had long since relocated all of the people here to another region, and all of the wild beasts had sensed the danger and escaped as well.
Sensing this shockwave, Zhao Fu felt quite surprised because he could sense that what the Yin Qi Formation was producing was not countless Ghost Soldiers, and the shockwaves were not caused by the corpses.
Traces of aura floated out of the coffins and gathered at the center of the Ghost Seal Formation. A large portion of the Yin Qi gathered by the Yin Qi Formation was absorbed by the Ghost Seal Formation, and much of the aura of bloodthirstiness gathered by the Ghost Army Flag and various Gravestones also gathered within the Ghost Seal Formation.
The Ghost Seal Formation was at the center of those terrifying shockwaves, and the thing being produced was going through changes because of the countless soldiers' auras, the boundless Yin Qi, and aura of bloodthirstiness. It would be an extremely terrifying thing.
Zhao Fu looked at the Ghost Commander Seals, Ghost Marquis Seals, and Ghost King Seal, and there seemed to be no problem with them.
At that moment, the Ghost King Seal suddenly gave off an intense gray light, and it seemed to start to melt. This made Zhao Fu feel quite startled – if the Ghost King Seal melted, what would happen? Zhao Fu did not know what was happening, so he prepared to stop it.
"Wait!" the golden dragon suddenly said.
Seeing that the golden dragon had stopped him, Zhao Fu wondered if it knew something and asked, "What's going on? Why is this happening?"
The golden dragon replied simply, "I have no idea either!"
This made Zhao Fu roll his eyes, and he said, "Why are you stopping me if you don't know what's going on either?"
The golden dragon replied seriously, "Even though I don't know what's going on, my instincts tell me that it's best not to stop what's happening. Within this valley, the Yin Qi Formation, coffins, gravestones, and flag have all fused together and are absorbing Yin energy from the Underworld.
"If you stop this, something might happen, and everything here might be destroyed."
Hearing the golden dragon's words, Zhao Fu could only stop. He sighed and asked, "What should I do? I can't just stand here and watch; who knows what will happen?"
The golden dragon thought before replying, "Zhao Fu, take out some of your blood and fuse it with the Ghost King Seal. No matter what happens, you'll be in control."
Hearing this, Zhao Fu nodded. He cut open his palm, causing blood to flow out and turn into an orb of blood, which he controlled and fused into the Ghost King Seal.
Nothing surprising happened, and there was no resistance. After absorbing Zhao Fu's blood, the Ghost King Seal seemed to give off an aura of delight.
After a while, Zhao Fu stopped giving out blood because the Ghost King Seal seemed to be content. Zhao Fu's face was quite pale and he looked slightly skinnier. He quickly took out some recovery medicinal pills and consumed them.
Zhao Fu looked heavily wounded, as he had let out so much blood.
The Ghost King Seal was still changing, and even greater Yin Qi started to gather. Zhao Fu was not sure what sort of terrifying thing was being created, but he hoped it would not affect the creation of Ghost Soldiers.
After returning to the Great Qin City, Zhao Fu focused on recovering, and his complexion regained some color. Following this, he started to take care of other matters.
A month later, Zhao Fu was sitting under a tall willow tree as he fished in a small creek when he suddenly received a system announcement, "Congratulations! Great Qin has leveled up into a Level 6 Capital City!"
Hearing this system announcement, Zhao Fu felt delighted and put away the fishing rod before going to the City Hall to look at the Great Qin City's new stats.

They now required 1.2 billion EXP to level up from a Level 6 Capital City into a Royal City. After obtaining this amount of EXP, the Great Qin City would be able to become a Royal City.
Even though 1.2 billion EXP was an enormous figure, it was the final step. Great Qin had fulfilled all of the other conditions and only lacked EXP. Zhao Fu did not feel worried – Great Qin had been able to obtain 800 million EXP for the previous level-up quite easily, so 1.2 billion EXP would not be too difficult to obtain either.
After a month, Great Qin had only cleared out roughly one-third of the empty regions, and there were still many regions to be cleared out, which could give Great Qin a large amount of EXP.
Over the past month, countless system main cities became unable to use their neutral mode. Some players paid a heavy death toll to finally attack the system main cities, and Zhao Fu prepared to officially make a move against Vietnam. This would also provide Great Qin with a large amount of EXP.


“Ding! Soulbinding has been successfully completed; you will now head to the Heaven Awaken World.” After hearing this, Zhao Fu’s vision darkened as he fell to the ground.

With bleak prospects in the real world, Zhao Fu’s life is turned around when countless crystals fell from the sky one night, which people could use to enter an alternate, game-like world. Zhong Liuchuan didn't immediately say anything. He was deciding whether he should stay or leave. After a while, he said, "I'll stay."
There was not much difference whether he stayed or left since his former colleagues had found him in the village. They would probably be able to find him if he moved to a different place. Sooner or later, they would find him if they wanted to.

"Since both of you mentioned superpowers, do you believe in their existence?" Wang Yao asked.
"Yes, Dr. Wang. I witnessed it once," Zhong Liuchuan said.
"Really?" Now it was Wang Yao's turn to be surprised. "What kind of superpower? Like those in the movies?"
"Nothing like that," Zhong Liuchuan said. "I met someone once who had incredible endurance toward fire. He could survive a fire without getting burned. However, he could still be hurt by weapons. He could also get sick and had to eat to survive."
"He could be a firefighter," Wang Yao said with a smile.
Although he looked calm, he was actually in shock. Certain things truly existed in the world, but most people would never come across them.
"I don't have superpowers," Wang Yao said. "I just have kung fu skills."
"Could one potentially have the same level of kung fu skills you have by practicing?" Zhong Liuchuan asked.
He had come across many kung fu masters who could either kill a person with a single movement or fight against 10 or even 100 people at the same time. He thought one could achieve such a kung fu skill level by practicing. However, Wang Yao's skills were beyond his imagination. It was like magical arts to him.
Let alone Wang Yao's other skills, he made a person lose the ability to fight and killed the person without even a touch. That was absolutely unbelievable.
"I suppose so," Wang Yao said after thinking for a moment.
He had gained such skills by practicing the Natural Classics. He did breathing exercises before practicing Chinese boxing. In plain language, the level of one's internal power decided how good a kung fu master one could be.
"Can you teach me?" Zhong Liuchuan asked.
"You want me to teach you kung fu?" Wang Yao asked.
"Yes, is that OK?" Zhong Liuchuan asked.
"That's fine. I can try," Wang Yao said after thinking for a moment.
"Really?" Zhong Liuchuan asked with surprise.
"Of course," Wang Yao said.
He couldn't teach Zhong Liuchuan everything in the Natural Classics. It was the rule set by the system. However, there was a grey area. Wang Yao could teach him some pithy formulas like what he taught Su Xiaoxue.
"You are my teacher from now on," Zhong Liuchuan said.
"Please don't call me teacher," Wang Yao said. "I can teach you, but I hate to be called teacher."
"But… You are my teacher," Zhong Liuchuan said.
"Never mind. Just do what I said," Wang Yao said.
Zhong Liuchuan chatted with Wang Yao for a few more minutes before leaving.
"Hey, do you have another student?" Wang Mingbao asked. He hadn't deliberately listened to the conversation between Wang Yao and Zhong Liuchuan, but he still heard it.
Wang Yao didn't speak. He just shook his head and smiled.
"So, how good are you with kung fu?" Wang Mingbao curiously asked.
"It's hard to describe," Wang Yao said. He had no idea how to explain his level of kung fu skills to Wang Mingbao since there was no standard.
"Shall we take a walk outside?" Wang Mingbao suggested.
"OK," Wang Yao said.
The two of them went to the yard. A gust of wind whirled around them. It was created by Wang Yao as he waved his hand. The bamboo trees, grass, and leaves were all made a shushing sound.
"Stop!" Wang Yao lifted his hand, and the wind stopped.
"What the...That is not kung fu. That is magical arts," Wang Mingbao said in shock. He knew Wang Yao was a kung fu master, but he had no idea that his skills had reached such a high level. "Can you teach me?"
"Are you serious?" Wang Yao asked with a smile.
"Of course. I think I'm quite gifted," Wang Mingbao said.
"You are a gifted businessman, so you are too busy with business," Wang Yao said. "You also drink and smoke a lot. You won't settle your mind on something like kung fu. More importantly, you don't have any foundation to practice it. If you want to start from scratch, you won't be able to achieve a high enough level to make worth your time. So, I think you should just forget about it."
He didn't think Wang Mingbao was a suitable candidate to practice kung fu. Wang Mingbao was different from Su Xiaoxue, who had a calming nature and almost died due to a horrible disease. She had seen through a lot of things in the world, and she was very gifted.
Wang Mingbao was also different from Zhong Liuchuan, who started to practice kung fu at a very young age. Zhong Liuchuan had good fundamental skills to learn kung fu, and he could put up with a quiet lifestyle and working hard. Zhong Liuchuan had decided to settle down in the village, so he would have adequate time to practice kung fu. Wang Yao didn't want to teach anyone who would potentially quit.
"Hmm, are there any ways to learn kung fu faster?" Wang Mingbao asked.
"You want to learn kung fu faster?" Wang Yao asked.
"Yeah, like someone filling all the kung fu skills into your head and body, or a certain god entering your dreams to teach your kung fu," Wang Mingbao said.
"Are you serious?" Wang Yao asked. "You must have watched too many fantasy movies."
"How could you become so good at kung fu?" Wang Mingbao asked.
"Me? Because God loves me," Wang Yao replied. "I've practiced day and night on Nanshan Hill and happened to come across a fantastic opportunity to enhance my skills on the Great Wall and Temple of Heaven. I was lucky."
This was the first time he mentioned something like this to someone. He didn't think Wang Mingbao would even have the patience to read the scriptures he had read.
"Wow, it sounds amazing," Wang Mingbao said.
"Of course," Wang Yao replied.
"I'm probably not a good candidate to learn kung fu," Wang Mingbao said as he took out his cigarette box.
"I think you should quit smoking," Wang Yao said.
"I'll try." Wang Mingbao accepted Wang Yao's advice and put the cigarette box away.
"How is your wife doing?" Wang Yao asked.
"She is resting at home. She's pregnant," Wang Mingbao said.
"Wow! Congratulations! I didn't expect that would happen so soon," Wang Yao said.
"Thank you," Wang Mingbao said.

A few days prior, in Tongdu, which was thousands of miles away from Wang Yao's village, several Taoists were standing around a bed in a wooden house on Dragon Tiger Mountain. A man was lying on the bed. He was wearing a Taoist gown. A charm was placed on his chest. His face had turned green and black, which looked scary. He was unconscious.
"The evil soul who hurt him is very strong," an old Taoist said.
"Teacher, what will happen to him?" a younger Taoist asked.
"I can barely keep him alive," the old Taoist said. "I'm not sure if he will return to consciousness or not."
"What about the other two?" the younger Taoist asked.
"They are still outside in the living room," the old Taoist said.
Miao Sanding and Liu Sifang were waiting in the living room.

"No one can guarantee everything one does will be successful," said Miao Sanding, who still felt guilty about what had happened. "Even the professional ghost hunters could fail like us. We failed to see the danger of that ancient tomb, and many people died because of it. I am the person who should take the blame."
"Stop blaming yourself. It has nothing to do with you," Liu Sifang said.
"If I hadn't dug up the ancient tomb, those people wouldn't be dead and there wouldn't have been so much trouble," Miao Sanding said. "Things are getting worse. Even the Taoists here were affected. This one is badly injured. I'm not sure what is happening to the other one who is still around the tomb. I think he's probably hurt too."
"You can't be sure about it," Liu Sifang said.
"You didn't cause this," someone in the house said.
Several Taoists entered the living room. Their leader was an old man in his 60s. He had very sharp eyes, like the sharp blade hiding in the scabbard.

"Stop calling me master," the old man said as he shook his hand. "Only a handful of people deserve to be called master since the Ming Dynasty. They've all passed away. I know your teacher, so you two can call me uncle."

After dying by his master's hand, Alex crosses the void and finds himself in the body of the young master of the Fang Clan, also known as the waste of the Clan born with broken Spiritual Roots. Realising that the only reason he was able to survive was due to his extremely strong soul, he creates his own cultivation technique and returns to marry his fiancé despite how countless enemies lurk in the shadows.

Gu Fei strolled around Luori City for a while, clearing his PK points as he went along until Eternal Dominion finally got online.
Eternal Dominion's message also arrived about the same time he got on, "Let's continue!"
"Where at?"
"The Martial Field," Eternal Dominion replied.
Gu Fei knew of the place, as he had previously sparred with Gale Force in Yunduan City some time ago. It would most likely be located near the Fighters' Dojo. The layouts of each city were somewhat similar to one another, after all.
He randomly approached one of the pedestrians for directions and made his way over to the venue. Eternal Dominion was already waiting for him by the time he arrived, and the poise he had showed how professional he was.
Back when he was meeting Gale Force to fight, that man had looked really cool when he stood in the center of the Martial Field with both his arms folded. But the truth of the matter was that nothing wasted more energy than striking a pose to look cool like that. This was not a factor in an MMO, it was an issue of the person's headspace.
Eternal Dominion was walking around the field at the moment, stretching his arms in the air and exercising his ankles from time to time. There was no need for players to limber up in the game like this, but it was very effective as a form of mood relaxation.
It was the difference between a professional and an amateur.
Eternal Dominion had also spotted Gu Fei coming in by now, cracking his neck to the left and right as he said, "Come on then!"
"Mhmm!" Gu Fei nodded and raised his hand, Blinking right up to Eternal Dominion with a swish.
"Hey now! You're not allowed to use that when we're fighting!!" Eternal Dominion stressed as he regarded him dumbfoundedly.
"Of course!" Gu Fei chuckled. "Shall we resume from yesterday?"
"Mmm, I think that's more or less what we can do unarmed," Eternal Dominion said. "Shall we spar with weapons next?"
Gu Fei nodded eagerly. Neither party could decisively win when sparring unarmed, since Eternal Dominion had no way of containing Gu Fei, while Gu Fei was unable to efficiently pull off any attack on his end given his lack of Strength, especially when going up against a fellow martial expert. That is, unless he were to wait for Eternal Dominion to make a mistake, but that would be boring.
Conversely, a match using weapons would be entirely different. Weapons essentially increased both their range and scope of attack possibilities, and the space they now had would allow for a greater variation. As such, Strength would not become a decisive factor to secure the win, letting Gu Fei believe this match would be far less awkward than the unarmed session they shared before.
"What are you using?" Gu Fei asked.
Eternal Dominion retrieved a long quarterstaff from his dimensional pocket.
"Coiling Dragon Staff?" Gu Fei asked.
Eternal Dominion nodded. The Dragon Fist style was the overarching name for their sect, and while the branching routines within contained fist techniques, there were also kicks and claw moves within. Coiling Dragon Fist was one such branch that was more of a weapon routine, including techniques for weapons like the Coiling Dragon Staff, Coiling Dragon Spear, Coiling Dragon Twin Sabers, etc.
"And you?" Eternal Dominion asked Gu Fei.
"Oh, what would you like to see?" Gu Fei asked him.
Eternal Dominion was depressed. But how would he not know this, after his father spent the good majority of his youth praising Gu Fei? This man was undoubtedly a genius of the ages, his knowledge of kung fu and weapon routines was well beyond what was imaginable for a human to master. Eternal Dominion was a professional martial expert himself, which only made it all the more mystifying to him to see a 25-year-old like Gu Fei have such great versatility across so much weaponry.
Honestly, 25 years would be inaccurate; that was how old Gu Fei was currently, but he had near full mastery of all kinds of weapons even before this.
For this man to let me choose… How stylish! Eternal Dominion was still envious of Gu Fei's talent deep in his heart. He wished he had the chance to make such a extravagant declaration. Unfortunately, all he could do now was grit his teeth and bark, "Just use your strongest one!"
"Strongest one? They are all equally strong!" Gu Fei said.
Eternal Dominion was virtually in tears now, before finally saying, "Then use a sword! I have long wanted to experience the Gu Family Sword Style for myself!"
"Works for me!" Gu Fei nodded in agreement, pulling out his Moonlit Nightfalls from his dimensional pocket.
The design of Moonlit Nightfalls was exquisite, and that dark glimmer that accompanied the sword was the same glow that all top-grade equipment shared. In contrast, the wooden quarterstaff that Eternal Dominion had in his hand was something he handcrafted from a white poplar tree outside the city. The system had called it a "wooden staff"; it had no stats, no glow. There were even grimy hand marks left where Eternal Dominion often held said stick...
The difference in their looks alone was heaven and earth! Eternal Dominion had even somewhat lost his will to fight.
Gu Fei, however, had not regarded Eternal Dominion's little wooden staff with disdain. He gave the appropriate sword salute with exactitude as he called out to Eternal Dominion, "Your move, then!"
Eternal Dominion returned the salute with his staff in hand, and that staff flew out as he executed his first move.
Gu Fei dodged to the side. In the face of Eternal Dominion's attack, dodging was still all he could do. Blocking with his sword was still impossible. The opponent he was up against was also a martial expert; even if there was not such a huge difference in their Strength, the fact that their technical skills were not too far off from one another meant all Eternal Dominion needed was a single chance to press with his Strength, and he would be able to come out on top and grasp the initiative.
Gu Fei immediately retaliated with a brush of his sword once he dodged the staff strike.
The staff was longer than the sword. Eternal Dominion had only needed to raise his hand to strike, but Gu Fei's attempt with his sword required him to step forward a little.
He watched as Eternal Dominion's wrist slid out, causing the staff in his hand to fall. Originally holding onto the end of the staff, his hand was now at the tip, shifting his body to the side as he swung his arm in a wide circle, slipping past Gu Fei's sword as he thrust out his staff right at Gu Fei's head.
Gu Fei stepped to the side once more, adjusting the direction of the point of his sword, even as his stab continued on its path towards Eternal Dominion. Eternal Dominion had already expected such a modification, changing that thrust of his staff yet again, this time aiming to knock away Gu Fei's sword. Naturally, Gu Fei had no intention for clashing with Eternal Dominion's weapon, so he quickly withdrew his sword.
In that short exchange, both men had each modified their attack once. Anyone who knew martial arts would surely be astonished by this scene, but anyone who knew nothing of martial arts would not be able to understand the difficulty behind it.
Having sparred with Gu Fei yesterday, Eternal Dominion had some idea behind his style as he lightly commented, "What do you see?" Gu Fei would rarely execute his ultimate move immediately. It was like he was more than happy to first observe what his opponent would do.
"Your staff mastery isn't bad," Gu Fei stated matter-of-factly. Just from those two simple moves, he could tell that Eternal Dominion had a rather solid foundation when it came to his skill with the staff. But it was just passable; Gu Fei have yet to witness anything earthshakingly new.
Eternal Dominion seemed more aware of his own standards. After sparring yesterday, he knew there was quite the gap between him and Gu Fei, and his confidence in winning this match utilizing weapons was rather dismal. He was simply hoping to broaden his knowledge and seek guidance for a bit.
Thus, Eternal Dominion asked, "What about you? Show me your ultimate move and let me have an eye-opener!"
"Isn't that… a little too soon?" Gu Fei asked.
Eternal Dominion felt hurt once more. "Don't be so full of yourself; the match is not over!" he blurted out loudly. His already diminished fighting spirit surged once more.
"Alright then, here I come!" Gu Fei already had his sword raised as he shouted.
The dim glow from Moonlit Nightfalls' blade seemed to follow Gu Fei's hand movement as he began to wheel out his strokes in wide arcs, boldly driving straight towards Eternal Dominion with a stab.
You call this an ultimate move!?, Eternal Dominion pouted. That's just adding a few more fanciful flourishes! With that thought in mind, he casually poked his staff out towards the sword.
And it was at that moment when Gu Fei's sword suddenly vanished.
Eternal Dominion was shocked. That glowing blur he saw from the sword before him moments ago had disappeared.
Given how quickly it suddenly disappeared, Eternal Dominion was unable to react in time when the sword suddenly materialized right before his eyes, the point of the blade just a short distance away from him.
Eternal Dominion wanted to evade in his panic, yet he suddenly felt a cool breeze brush past his neck as Gu Fei's sword was placed against it.
Eternal Dominion was flabbergasted. Gu Fei was still a little distance away from him just moments ago, so he was confident he could have dodged it in time. How did he suddenly get his sword right up to him like that?
Eternal Dominion even suspected that Gu Fei had used his Blink...
But this suspicion was nothing but a fleeting thought. Even though Gu Fei angered him so much that he was gritting his teeth half the time, he did not believe this man would be so immoral as to mask an in-game skill as kung fu.
Gu Fei was in no hurry to withdraw his sword as he gazed at Eternal Dominion with a smile, "Is that good enough?"
Eternal Dominion grit his teeth, wanting to ask what had happened, but he consciously stopped himself from doing so. He decided he would rather try and think through that series of changes by himself instead. This was definitely not some fantastical phenomenon that had happened in game, so it was surely the changes that Gu Fei had implemented to his sword technique.
Eternal Dominion's eyes immediately twinkled as he turned towards Gu Fei. "The Birth of Spring and Summer's Lull, The Harvest of Autumn and Winter's Hoard?" The name was a mouthful, but this was a famed technique from the Gu Family Sword Style; extremely famous.
Sure enough, Gu Fei nodded.
"That flourish was The Birth of Spring?" Eternal Dominion asked.
Gu Fei nodded again.
"And when you disappeared… that's Winter's Hoard?" Sequentially, Summer's Lull should follow The Birth of Spring, yet that vanishing act was a conscious change that seemed closer to Winter's Hoard.
Gu Fei nodded once more.
"And the move after that was Summer's Lull?" Eternal Dominion thought back to the moment when that sword of Gu Fei had suddenly appeared by his neck.
A nod once more.
"So where's The Harvest of Autumn?" Gu Fei seemed to have only made three distinct motions in that short period of time, and Eternal Dominion could not seem to recall where the fourth step had been.
"The Harvest of Autumn would have killed you…" Gu Fei put away his Moonlit Nightfalls.
Eternal Dominion was depressed once again.
"We're not sparring anymore!" Eternal Dominion placed his white poplar staff back into his dimensional pocket. It felt as if Gu Fei had been toying with him all this while. Had he really showed his ultimate move, he would not have been able to defend himself.
Gu Fei did not say a word, not trying to be humble or attempt to console the man. What use would his consolation be when placed before the naked truth? And trying to be humble at this point… Was there a need to be humble considering the level he had reached? If Usain Bolt came out to tell his opponent "no no no, I'm rather slow myself", would that not be as good as insulting the other man?
Thus, Gu Fei stowed his sword and asked Eternal Dominion a question he was more concerned with, "I heard that you are some sort of instructor for a security firm?"
Eternal Dominion blanched visibly. They were both kung fu practitioners, so they were both very clear what his intention was, but he could only helplessly reply to Gu Fei, "I'm only trying to make a living out of my kung fu."
Gu Fei did not comment on that. All kung fu practitioners were well aware of the pain of being unable to utilize their art despite having spent almost all of their life practicing it. But Eternal Dominion's dream was more direct; he simply wished to depend on his kung fu to make a living. As for Gu Fei… His current situation could be said to be ideal, euphemistically speaking, when in reality, it was more like he had nothing else to do with his life.
"Those professional gamers in this game, have you come into contact with them?" Gu Fei suddenly asked.

Inside of a mysterious city, within a strange world. A youthful man seated on top of a golden throne frowned deeply, as he looked at the strange man before him.  His veins were now clearly visible on his forehead, as his hair grew chaotic with snake-like streaks of bright lightning that flickered about randomly due to his extreme anger.  In an instant, his entire body began to make cracking noises as an endless array of electricity gathered around his complete form.  He then reached for the odd-looking bolt of lightning floating by his side and gripped it firmly.
Crackle! Zap! Following a loud electrical sound, an oppressive might was instantly revealed to the world.
A mass of dark clouds soon enveloped the entirety of the small realm, quickly making its way towards the outside world.  As if sensing something, the previously domineering divine thunder striking the city soon came to an abrupt halt, following which, a new cloud slowly began to grow from the municipality.  It grew at an alarming rate quickly blanketing the sky for a region spanning no less than 10 million kilometers.
Ka-Bang! Along with the sound of a thunderous boom, a massive thunderbolt set forth from the vast cloud as if trying to display the 'Destroying Heavens and Extinguishing Earth Prestige.' With its appearance, a shocking aura soon erupted that blanketed the entirety of this world's region, the citizens of this mystical city along with the nearby experts now gazing at the sky filled prestige with nothing but fear.

At a distant location, deep within an infinite-endless gorge that seemed to have reached the depths of the earth, masses of devilish aura gathered about around a strange-looking sacrificial altar.  At its center stood a towering figure who emitted an overbearing amount of devilish qi, he had long black hair, glowing red eyes, and a face that one could only describe as 'Devilishly Handsome.' As he sat upon a throne of made purely of odd bones, he would occasionally glance towards his subordinates that had congregated around the altar, performing a devilish ritual.
Soon enough, he felt something strange in the distance.  Promptly spreading out his devil-sense, he scanned more than 1 million kilometers where vaguely in the distance, he could see a mass of dark clouds brimming with an immensely domineering and mighty thunderbolt that demonstrated its prestige.
"Fu Fu Fu Fu Fu! I wonder, who could have the gall to provoke the Thunder Monarch? Hmmm, this should be quite interesting..." The devilishly handsome man said as he tapped the rail on his throne excitedly with his finger, while pondering the various possible circumstances.

In an unknown land filled with a myriad of beasts stood a gigantic tower, stretching to the very limits of the heavens itself.  Around this tower was a city built from a very ancient kind of stone, as its walls and buildings glowed with special looking patterns.  The people or rather, the beasts in human forms who existed in this city acted ruthlessly, as bloody battles would constantly occur at many of the separated battle platforms scattered about the city, filling its atmosphere with an untamed sense of wildness.
At the very limits of this tower was a small creature with a very adorable appearance, it frolicked around the tower occasionally falling over itself as it sought different forms of entertainment.  It was a small white tiger with little black wings and a peculiar marking on its forehead.  Suddenly, it stopped playing and looked towards the distance as if it sensed something, quickly the small tiger vanished leaving a remnant shade in its earlier location.
Swoosh-swoosh!  Following a series of quick movements, it soon arrived at the entrance of a large room that stood at the top of the tower.  At the center of this room was a large cushion, seated on it was a man with brilliantly shining silvery-white hair who had a divine looking appearance like that of a being with noble lineage.  Across his skin were tiger stripes and markings giving his divine figure a wild edge, seated around him was a myriad of beautiful women each with their very own unique bearings and traits, there were some with foxtails as well as others with cat-like charms emphasizing their flirtatious nature.
Noticing the small tiger that entered his abode the figure on the mat showed a gentle expression.
Poof! After a flash of white light and a cloud of hazy smoke, the small white tiger soon transformed into a small female child no older than six years old, after which she immediately ran into the man's embrace resting her head on the figure's chest.
"Papa! I sense danger!" The small girl said while trembling slightly.
As he gently patted her back the man with tiger stripes then consoled his daughter, "Hmm, that's my good Wan'er! There-there… everything is alright now.  It's only a meager attempt to show off one's prowess."
After hearing her father's words, the female child then soon felt contented, very quickly she surrendered herself into a deep sleep, enjoying the peace of her childhood.  Handing his daughter over to one of his concubines and giving each of them a kiss on their cheeks; he quickly put on a white robe while walking towards the door, coming to a stop at the edge of the tower outside of the room.  He then looked at the distant sky while lost in his thoughts.
"The 'Thunder Monarch's' fury, I wonder what kind of storm could cause such an outburst. Gya-Gya! Just slightly thinking of it makes my blood boil, it seems that the time has come for me to leave the tower once more," He said as a shade of bloody red shone deep with his eyes, completely revealing the wild and ferocious nature he was previously suppressing.

Traveling back to the contained world, the Thunder Monarch sat on top of the thunder throne.  His body glowed with endless might as he looked towards the strange man before with anger, but soon, he recalled his prestige and closed his eyes to try and calm his state of mind.  After a short while, the towering energies vanished, and the oppressive aura faded away into nothingness. He once again opened his eyes and looked towards the strange man.
"Did you find out its exact position in the Outer Continent?" He asked in a calm and unperturbed tone.
Seeing the individual before him finally regained his state of mind, the strange man smiled slightly with a look of vague disdain in his eyes. Casually tossing a piece of parchment towards him with a flick of his wrist, then promptly turning around and starting to leave.
Upon reaching the entrance of the door, he stopped for a moment and without turning his head back spoke in an indifferent manner, "The Sleeping Dragon Will Weep, as the Tiger Rises with the Devil Guises. All shall eventually fall to the Phoenix Devises."
As he finished his statement, he walked away with a smile on his face while lost in his thoughts, "A foolish dragon trying to tamper with its destiny, only to be devoured by its own vagary."
Hearing his statement, the light in the Thunder Monarch's eyes flickered for a moment before shortly fading, quickly scanning over the information on the piece of parchment he then waved his hand towards the void and spoke, "Attend to me!"
Swoosh-swoosh-swoosh-swoosh!  Instantly, as if they just came into existence, a few forms materialized out of nothingness and knelt towards the monarch who sat on his throne.
"We greet the Thunder Monarch!" They said in unison.
Seeing his most trusted subordinates gather before him, the Thunder Monarch felt more at ease, he flipped his wrist causing the parchment in his hand to fly towards the figure at the foremost of the group.
She was a beautiful woman with kingdom conquering charms, but the look on her face showed a strict and stern discipline.  Lightning flowed across her eyes as she glanced at the content on the parchment with a look of surprise on her face.
"This... this is..." She muttered in shock, but before she could finish her statement the Thunder Monarch spoke once more.
"You are to head out at once and bring them back alive if you can, if not, spare no one.  You also have my permission to use that 'Artefact' if necessary," The Thunder Monarch said as the lighting around his body began to churn slightly.
The look of shock grew further on the woman's face, even the subordinates were stunned as they glanced towards each other.  Soon though, they recovered to their earlier indifference and promptly responded, "By your majesty's will!"
As quickly as they came, they vanished once more fading into nothingness.  The Thunder Monarch looked on in silence before once more closing his eyes, appearing indifferent to the world.
"If they act quickly enough, they should be able to reach the outer continent in roughly 3 to 4 years. Humph! Nothing will stand in the way of my Thunder Dragon Clan, not even you..." As he said this, the figure of the strange man briefly flickered in his mind, soon after vanishing within his sea of thoughts.

The weather was snowy today, as clouds blanketed the view of the sky.
The morning wind mixed in with the coldness of snow creating an extremely frigid atmosphere. Within an empty courtyard surrounded by thick chunks of snow, was a figure of a youth who stood quietly gazing towards the sky with a pondering expression on his face.
It would seem as if the young man was considering the most profound truths of the world, as his eyebrows knitted every once and while.  Soon though, he removed his vision from the gloomy sky while muttering to himself, "What could it really be referring to?  Even if it were to be true, I wonder what will truly become of this event," Feng Yu pondered as he went over the meeting that had just ended.
Quickly, he cleared his mind of all distracting thoughts as he looked towards his father who was now standing before him.  Not bothering to try and figure out how his father suddenly appeared out of nowhere, he made a respectful bow as he spoke to him.
"What matter does father wish to speak with me about?" He asked politely.
Upon noticing his son's thoughtful expression, a curious desire rose in Feng Yunlong's thoughts, but soon he ignored it and asked Feng Yu the matter he planned to talk about beforehand.
"Yu'er, how is it? Do you have any trouble stimulating your bloodline?" He asked interestedly.
Hearing father's words Feng Yu decided to ask about something that was bothering him recently, "No father, so far I'm not experiencing any issues with inspiring my bloodline.  It's only..."
"Only what?" said Feng Yunlong.
"I'm not sure how to further advance its potential, as the 'Nirvana Flame Cultivation Technique' only elaborates on the intricacies of advancing through the later levels of cultivation. The only aspect it has concerning my Bloodline Prestige is the activation of my battle form," Feng Yu said with a slightly troubled expression.
Hearing Feng Yu's question Feng Yunlong smiled as he replied, "Haha!  So, it's this, you're wondering why the 'Nirvana Flame Cultivation Technique' doesn't explain the usage of your bloodline powers any further? It's simple really, it's because once a 'True Bloodline Successor' appears he would become the new generation of the entire Feng Family Clan. Therefore, the techniques used to further the increasing might of the Clan's Bloodline Prestige can only come from his latent abilities and self-reflection skills, being able to find ways to draw upon the power that lay deep within himself.  While the first aspect is something that requires talent, the latter can only be sought through tempering both body and mind, as one would be forced to stimulate their bloodline further and further to experience its 'second awakening.'"
Pausing for a bit, he looked at Feng Yu before taking out a simple and unadorned scroll as he spoke to him once more.
"Some techniques have been passed down from generation to generation, each being a symbol representing the glory and might of our earlier generation's True Bloodline Successors.  These are known as <Nirvana Battle Skills>, but sadly, most of them have been lost and destroyed due to the events of the past with only a few of the weaker ones remaining," As he said this, he couldn't help but sigh at the clan's circumstances.
"Hmm, then am I able to practice them currently father?" Feng Yu asked while looking at the scroll in his father's hands.
A sophisticated look soon came over Feng Yulong's face as he replied while flipping the scroll in his hands and placing it back inside of his storage ring, "While these remaining techniques are lower-tiered compared to the previous top-tier bloodline battle skills.  They are still skills created by your predecessors at their primes before they reached their peak's.  You would have to at least reach the cultivation level at the True Foundation realm to begin practicing the one with the lowest requirements."
Hearing this Feng Yu could only temporarily give up the idea of trying to increase the might of his bloodline. He looked towards his father and asked a question which he felt puzzled about from his talk with the guard Dai Lin the previous day.
"Father, what was the unusual phenomenon that took place here about a month ago? What could cause the awakening of so many clan members?"
Feng Yunlong smiled as he looked towards Feng Yu with a proud look, he then pointed towards the sky as he replied, "The phenomenon you speak of is known as a 'Heavenly Recognition.' It is a sign of approval from the heavens when one who is born with a Unique Bloodline or Special Trait initially awakens its prestige, causing them to momentarily inspire its full might.  As you are an individual of a Supreme Bloodline Clan, your awakening was of the highest grade, which is why it created a world phenomenon of that standard."
He then waved his hand causing a shocking aura to erupt which recreated the scene of the fiery sky before Feng Yu, he then continued to speak, "The stronger the phenomenon, then the higher grade of talent that generation's True Bloodline Successor is said to have. As when you awakened there was an extensive zone of sacred-fire that blanketed the sky, forming a fiery curtain that spread for hundreds of thousands of kilometers throughout the True Yuan Continent.  Because of this abnormally strong bloodline awakening, we were able to achieve a kind of resonance with our bloodlines which ended up saving us a lot of time to truly awaken and break the seal caused by the bloodlines ban."
"I... I didn't even notice. How could such a thing occur and not be prominent within any of the rumors?" Feng Yu said while feeling shocked.
"Heh, it's simple, very much like what happened with the Mount Tydol's scenario, the bloodline phenomenon was treated similarly by certain parties," Feng Yunlong said.
Hearing this, Feng Yu started to feel that the information-handling capabilities of the upper class in this world is on an entirely different scale compared to his previous one. Placing his hands together he bowed towards his father and spoke, "I see, thank you for clarifying my troubles father."
"Good! Now that that's over with, there is another important matter that needs to be addressed," Feng Yunlong said with a severe expression on his face.
"Huh? What matter?" Asked Feng Yu.
"While it is a straightforward one, it should not be taken lightly, as it will affect your further path as the successor of the family.  As we have now particularly healed from most of our injuries suffered from the past incident, we are currently no longer going to be as stagnant as we were before.  Our clan needs resources to quickly aid in the cultivation of our forces, medicine pills, spiritual artifacts and ancient treasures alike are the key to the overall improvement of the clan's forces.  The only way for us to gather these items are through the exploration of mystic realms and operation of various forms of businesses.  It is for this reason that we have involved ourselves in the matter of the Ancient Dragon Clan's Mystic Realm," Feng Yunlong stated.
He then looked towards Feng Yu once more with an expectant look in his eyes as he continued his speech, "As such, our clan members won't be capable of providing you with any extra means of protection; you will have to create a team that belongs solely to yourself with people whom you can trust. For this reason, after the 'Talent Selection' and matter regarding the Mystic Realm. I, Your Uncle Junling and remaining Core Elders have decided to allow for you to go out and journey amongst the land of the outer continent.  Growth will only come from self-dependence and various forms of life experiences; a true expert cannot grow sheltered by a greenhouse."
"Hmm, I understand father," Hearing his father's and elders' consideration for him a wave of warmness flowed through him, he promptly bowed his head once more.
Seeing this Feng Yunlong nodded appreciatively, he then thought for a moment with one of his hands scratching his chin then said, "Hmm, now then Yu'er, do you have any ideas on who in the clan you would like to add to your forces?"
Thinking for a bit a strange smile soon appeared on Feng Yu's face he looked towards his father and said, "Since this is the case, I would like to officially make a request to the clan for one of its members to be my subordinate."
"Oh? And Who would this person be to have caught your eyesight?" Feng Yunlong asked while he looked at Feng Yu curiously.
"It's no one that holds any key major roles only an average member," Feng Yu said mysteriously.
"Eh? What's this person's name?" Feng Yunlong asked with interest.
"He is known as… Dai Lin…" Feng Yu said as a flicker of lightning shone deep within his eyes for a short moment before fading away into its depths.
