The sad song immediately changed the atmosphere in the theater. Besides the accompanying woodwind instrument sounds to support the mellow air, only the sorrowful voice from the young lady was heard by the audience, sending them the feeling of lament.

After she descended to the ground, she immediately ran in several directions as if pleading for help from the trees as she was currently alone in the forest. From these trees, other lights came out as small animals, peering slightly at the now crying young lady, with bowed head sitting in the middle of the forest floor.

Her singing continued until suddenly, her mournful shout in time with the loud bang of the drum startled these animals as well as the audience. The lights dimmed then it turned crimson. As the drum beats got heavier and heavier, there was a sense of gloom and urgency.

Then, a loud roar together with a trumpet sound reverberated in the theater. A dragon's head as big as a house showed itself in front of the crying lady. She was still sitting, unable to get up but trying to move herself to get away from the monster.

With tear streaks in her face and a horrified look, she was still looking around the forest, seeking for help. Afterwards, a sharp light came out of a tree, followed by many lights, attacking the dragon.

The fast drum beats was now accompanied by the woodwind instruments depicting the sounds of the forest. As the attack was reaching its climax, the piano accompaniment was approaching its crescendo. The fight continued in this manner until the dragon vanished like smoke.

The lights dimmed with the last piano note. When the stage lit up brightly, all the cast were on stage with their heads bowed to the audience.

Following the audience in giving applause and standing ovation for the performance, Ling was deep in thought from what he had seen, the brows on that little face was scrunching. To avoid being lost in the sea of people, he held hands with his father as they exit the theater.

After getting out of the theater, these three people from the Mal'it Clan were walking back to the dock. The two adults were talking about the effects and illusions used in the performance with the child walking in front of them.

"Are dragons bad?" The soft voice stopped the discussion of the two adults, surprised by the child's question.

Aftet a while of thinking, Bobo also turned to the older man for an answer. This forced Shaman Matnaad to suppress his smile, seeing these two curious people.

He took a deep breath, readying himself with another long monologue, before speaking, "I haven't seen a dragon myself so I can not say this based on my experience. But, based on the stories and gossips I have heard, dragons have always been deemed as a bad omen as indicated by the happenings in the other islands since the earlier times.

"An appearance of a dragon in the sea was often a warning to the sailors that a huge storm is coming. A sighting of a dragon flying fast in the sky was followed by a hurricane that devastated several villages. Even in our village, it was said that during the last eruption of the volcano, someone saw a big animal flying on top of it.

"However, nobody has ever proven any of these superstitions since dragons were rare. Some were even unsure if what they saw was really a dragon. That is why they were often shown as bad in stories."

Ling nodded and the three became silent again while walking. The two adults could see that the child was thinking deeply, his body slouched in front of them. 

However, before any of them could break the silence, a series of footsteps were heard behind them and a man called for the two before he even reached the group.

"Shaman, Chief," the man took a breath before continuing, "there was a fight in one of our stalls. The other side's chief already intervened but they also want to talk to our leaders."

Since they were already near the clan's boats, the shaman and chief decided they could leave the child alone to go back so they could finish this issue faster.

Ling was then left walking alone, distracted until he reached the docks. He stared up for a few minutes, still deep in thought, before moving to find the clans' boats.

Even though all the boats looked the same, he managed to go to the boat with the familiar 'mist' surrounding it. He fell asleep in a room with the soothing presence, dreaming about princesses and dragons.

Back in the Mal'it Clan, inside a cave in the forest a little farther away from the village, a dragon was on its stomach, looking at the cave entrace sullenly. It had been almost a month since it had played with its friend and it was missing the delicious meat from the house of that boy.

The sound of running footsteps outside made it raise its head, waiting until a child entered the cave carrying the usual bundle. When the child looked at the dragon, it suddenly turned on its back with its legs up, still staring at the child as if waiting for something.

Used to this behavior, kind of like its other friend, the child put down the food bundle and moved to rub the belly of the dragon. It crooned with its eyes now closed.

"Maga, we still have to go further inside the cave so you have to start eating now. I don't know how you and Ling managed to walk that long before but we will return later if we don't start walking now. I was late at school that last time," Rin complained to the relaxed dragon which seemed to be ignoring Rin.

After a few more seconds of scratching, the dragon got up and started to eat. From time to time, it kept looking at the child eating beside it.

Rin sighed, "You know I have no idea when Ling will return. Why not we continue on this adventure inside the cave and then, you also have a lot to tell Ling when he got back. I'm sure he will have a lot to tell us too."

Hearing this, the dragon became lively. Its mind was now occupied with stories and the next adventure it could show to that boy.

"Hmm.. You already showed me that you do not get burned under the lava but I can not even get a meter near it. The whole place was warm but too hot for me once we were near the pool.

"Should we try how long you can last under the falls this time?"

Elyon sighed as he read the comments. Truedawn has drawn the line and it means that the discussion has come to an end. The authors also want to change the subject. CoolGuySan decided to initiate the change and threw some random topic to start a new discussion.

A few days passed since that heated debate on the Writer's Discord Chatroom. Elyon was curious and asked the other authors who were not present during that debate the question "What is a Story?" The answers he got were quite tame, compared to the ones he had back then.

Elyon: What is a story to you as an author? *points imaginary microphone to a baby dragon*

Zehel2218: For me as a reader, novel is everything that makes me want to live on.

Cultivator_Requiem: But a story can be a ship to another world! Or a message from the past! Or a stupid creation of a 11-year-old edgy kid!

Longsun Fullmetal: There are many different forms of a story. All of them with a different purpose and goal. Some of them merely seek to entertain, others wish to send a message. 

Some are about inspiring while others seek to cause specific emotions of the readers, Many stories were made by people who are disappointed with the "real world", reflecting what's happening around them inside their story, maybe wishing to escape it or suggesting a solution to the world's problems. The list is endless.

There are so many different types of stories we could keep this up all day honestly. But I think we can agree on one thing. A story is either enjoyable or not.

Author's Thoughts

When I decided to start writing Writer's Chatgroup, this particular episode on the discord chat made a deep impression on me. If I remember correctly, It was just a week after I joined the server.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. It is their right, their choice and something that they need to decide on their own. Most of the time, arguments and debates are often caused by conflicting opinions. 

Even outside the boundaries of the discord chatroom, these conflicts happen. One good example of this is voting for politicians (President, Senators, etc.) You'd be surprised that sometimes your friends, family, relatives, classmates, acquaintances, co-workers (name it you have it!) will not always agree with you on your choice of candidates.

There are times when you get "heated discussion and debates" on why this particular politician is good, why he/she is bad, so on and so forth~

So why am I telling you this stuff? Mmm, it's because I don't want the authors of the discord chatroom to kil- *cough* I don't want the readers to judge their favorite authors for voicing their opinions and beliefs. 

We as authors write our stories so we can pass a message to you, so we can entertain you, so we can give you something to do when you're bored and have free time to spare. 

In turn, we get happy if people read our stories. Just like what the author PoeticPenguin shared in a comment in one of the chapters of Writer's Chatgroup.

"I can't make someone laugh so I have defaulted to make my readers interested. Also, I wholeheartedly agree with you. A comment is basically 300 dollars plus bragging rights. Wait no, more than that. It's also a glimpse of heaven on earth."

It was in the nature of all living beings to want to live within their comfort zone. As such, very few people could discard their past life and go on a journey. It was exactly because of this that everyone wanted to live vicariously through Joshua's stories.
So their journey is not filled with incessant peril and hardships; most of it consists of beautiful scenery and wonderful experiences. Sally was going through a bout of mental upheaval. The ideals that had been drilled into her mind were slowly crumbling, and she began to accept the fact that the teachers and adults in the Wind Forest had lied to her.
Blour's eyes glowed brighter and brighter as he listened to Joshua's stories, and he often enquired Joshua for additional details when he heard a story that particularly caught his fancy.

The elven servants were crippled by the weight of slavery and oppression, while those from the major families were burdened by the weight of their insatiable greed. As such, no one was truly happy.
Yabemiya only brought out Anna's blueberry ice cream after she had finished the entire portion of Yangzhou fried rice. Anna held the ice cream carefully in her hands, and her little face was alight with elation. "I really loved it! I missed my hometown a lot... Harvey's parents were also close to my mother, so they treated me like their own daughter! I wish you could come along too, Lyra," Iris said.

"Morning Mommy." I said while rubbing my eyes pretending like I just woke up.
"Morning Maxi. Today we have an important guess coming." Mom said with a slight smile.
"Important guest?"  I said with a puzzled face.
"Yup, my dad, your grandpa is coming to see us." Mom joyfully said
Her dad, then that means the king right, or is he the former king. Either way it is the number one big shot in all the dragon continent. How can mom be so calm.
'Master I think you're overacting.'
'how am I overacting it's the king for god's sake.'
'Master did you forget. The king is your grandfather.'

Mom got lose in her stories and soon breakfast was done and cleared away. Father left to his office. Mom took me and Ariel to the living room to continue her monologues. I got bored about halfway and fell asleep.

It was 50 feet long from head to the tip of its tail. The body was covered in scales like a snake. Its head was just like a larger Flat-tail horned lizards head just much, much, much larger. The tip of its tail resembled a morning star. I looked up and saw a man on its back. He then jumped off and landed in front of us.
The man was about 6'7" tall with a hunched back. Not a single hair on his head was not gray or white. Wrinkled face with deep green eyes. He seemed like a veteran warrior, a man who waged in many wars.
"Father, you can never come in a normal style."
"Ha ha ha ha, Vivian you know me I just can't stand sitting in a carriage. I prefer my trusty wyvern over any horse. Now let us go in before it gets cold." Said the man
With a wave of his hand the wyvern flapped its wings and flew away.
Father led him to the drawing room for tea and cookies. 
"Now let's have a look at my grandkids." Said the king
Mother pushed us towards him.
"This young lady here is Ariel and the boy are Maximus."
I could feel his intense gaze. It was as if he was measuring us. A smile crept up on his face.
"hmm they look just like you. You have done well. I could feel the blood in them, but."
He narrowed his eyes at me, followed quickly by a smile.
"this one's blood seems stronger. Must take after this old one. Mahwahahahaha."
'Master.'
'I know.'
I could feel my blood boil for a quick second. He was testing me.
"Father how's mother."
"She's doing well. Right now, she's with Alexa."
"Sister? Why didn't she come with you?""Well she did not know I was coming here. Mary left last year and has not returned. I sent word to her about you successfully giving birth. Knowing her she'll return shortly."
"Haaaaaaa, looks like mother will be staying here for some time then."
"Yup, good luck. Mahwahahahaha"
"father there's something I like to ask."
"hmm"
"Maxi is seeming to be growing fast and his intelligence…"
"Is not like a normal child."

Grandfather smiled 
"You know the qualities of dragon blood."

"That is right but there's also rare cases, where one's dragons' blood far surpasses the peak level. In these incidents, the blood in their body moves to age them faster. In most incidents like this the child will rapidly age causing them to become adults I just 5 years."
"What. My baby is going be a man in just 4 years. No, I will not allow it."
"Vivian! Let me finish."

"Like I said it rarely happens. I am like this. We are called dragon knights. Warriors of dragonkin. Even though we rapidly mature, upon reaching an adult body and mind, the aging process slows down to a near halt. The stronger the blood the slower we age."
Shock appeared on all our faces. Then grandfather narrowed his eyes and spoke with a serious tone.
"then there's extremely rare cases, so rare only 2 have happened. The first was the first king, the second is maximus."
"WHATTTT!!!!!" we all shouted.
"The first king called this lords of dragonkin, or dragon lords. They age fast at the beginning, then mana is rapidly absorbed into their bodies. We the mana reaches a certain limit, then the evolution process begins. The more mana the stronger the evolution will be. The first king said be ne wrapped up in a cocoon for 3 days and nights. Upon the fourth day, he stood a grown man, with endless wisdom in his eyes. He was barley 2 years of age when this happened. He created our kingdom after 20 years. Then ruled in for the next 2000 years. Some say he died in battle, while others say he still lives to this day. Besides this kingdom that he forged into an empire, the only thing he left was a message to his descendants. Never mess with dragon lords, for they rule over the bloodline. Any enemies to the clan will perished the most horrible death. None shall live if they cross them. Only the other lords can be their peer."
Silence, absolute silence. Shocked was no everyone's faces.
'Venus'
'Yes master.'
'Can you tell if he's lying.'
'He hasn't spoke any lies. Though it meant not be the truth, he does believe in his words.'
'Then, if what he said is really true.'
'Master will evolve within a year.'
'This was supposed to be a relaxing life. One filled with a good childhood and many memories growing up with my parents. I don't want to just skip all of those memories.'
'I'm sorry master, if I didn't mess with you DNA, this wouldn't have happened.'
'No, it isn't your fault. You just did not know. This is a new world with new rules. Our logic doesn't seem to apply to here.'
"Then, what's to happen to my Maxi?" 
"Yes, what's going to happened to Maximus?" Shouted my parents
My grandfather looked at me, shook his head and turn to them.
"If Maximus is a Dragon Lord, then within a year, he'll become a man." He sadly responded 
"Nooooooo, I'll miss him growing up, no training him to use the bathroom. No seeing him mature. No, no, no…..."
With tears pouring down her face mother just got up and ran to me and hugged me while balling her eyes out.
"Your majesty is there anything we can do?" father said with his hands forming a fist.
"I'm afraid not. I can already feel his immense mana."
Father look at me confusingly.
"How long?"
"Maybe a month, a weeks or even tomorrow. I do not know. All I know is that at a certain point his mana will wrap him in a cocoon, then after some time he'll emerge a true dragon lord."
"You said there was only one other case, how can you know for certain."
"Ancestor wrote a journal and in in it states. "Through the knowledge that was passed down to me, I've come to learn the chances of becoming a dragon lord is exceedingly small. Those who can be lords either evolve into one or die trying." "
This only cause mother to hug me tighter and weep louder. Grandfather got up and patted mothers head, trying to soothe her.
"it'll be ok sweety, everything will turn out fine. Just look at the bright side."
"WHAT BRIGHT SIDE?!!!"
"Maximus will become very powerful and live a life longer than mine."
"You call that bright, all that will leave him is more hardships and loneliness. He will live a long live and what come to forget me, Arthur, and Ariel. No that sounds like a curse."

Grandfather new he wont win. He got up, rubbed Ariel's head, patted my father's shoulder, the left. 
Today, was not a good day.

this is my first novel, so don't judge me too hard, i'm only doing this for fun. BTW the image doesn't belong to me. if the creator wants it down i'll take it down.

Taking his time to walk back towards his makeshift camp with Fiona and her Dragon, Uni. Letting his magic aura circulate his body and try and push his own limits; Noah didn't notice that his feet had started to make indents into the floor.
  His body becoming denser and stronger with each step, the magic particles in the air vibrating with each step. not only becoming deeper into the ground but letting him step larger ground with each step too. 
  Within just seconds he was at the camp with Fiona staring at him with her mouth open as she stared at him, seeing the magic particles vibrating with every step he took. She had never seen such power over them. 
  Noah let go of the magic aura and released it back into the world the grass and ferns all blew in the opposite direction of where he was standing. 
  Fiona's dragon, Uni, opened her eyes and let out a growl at the release of so much slowly raising its head and curling her head and tail around Fiona to protect him from Noah's magic. 
  Laughing at the dragons first reaction as he didn't plan to do anything, his magic aura had just made it easier to cross from the few hundred metres in just seconds. Something that he had never done before. 
  Taking a step forward he collapsed, his legs had turned to jelly. "Whoa!" Using his hands to stop himself from hitting the ground completely. Letting out a soft yelp as his hands were grazed from landing hard. 
  Fiona patted Uni's head and told her it was fine, walking over to Noah and helping him get back up. "You really are bad at using your aura properly." Giggling at Noah's failure. 
  "Well, I am glad you enjoyed watching me fall. I've decided that I should come with you to the Dragon Keep, my mother should be there and I can try and find my Master through there." Managing to hold himself up just with Fiona's help.
  "Oh? Okay, we will go straight away. I need to complete my mission anyways." They both slowly walked towards uni, Fiona got onto the saddle first and then Noah joined her from behind. 
  Uni was not the biggest dragon, she stood at 2.4 metres [7.8 Ft] but had managed to gather a lot of strength just from the deep rest through the night she had. It was early morning but with the sky being covered in smoke there was no way to truly see the sky, either clouds or smoke covered it. 
  She lifted her wings into the air and pushed down, slowly lifting them off the ground and flying slowly towards the Dragon Keep, across the plains and forest that Noah had walked from. It was a steady flight but Noah noticed that along the back of Uni's wings were deep cuts and slashes.
  They flew in silence across the Sil zone calmly. Only the beat of Uni's wings made noise, no birds, no other dragons just the beat of the wings. 
  The closer they got to the dragon tower the colder it felt, he could feel Fiona start to shiver so he did his best to keep her warm by moving closer to her and sharing his warmth. His face starting to burn from embarrassment but knowing it was better to share heat so they didn't go into hypothermia.
  Fiona wriggled and felt even more embarrassed than Noah, she was from a noble family and the only contact she had with men had been when she was with her father at the noble balls. The school and Dragon Troopers both separated the men and women into different squads to avoid relations through missions or through the school term.
  Uni felt the rush of embarrassment through their bond and let out a roar to make sure Noah knew that was as close as they were getting, turning her head and roaring one more time. All that did was make both the two turn redder. 
  They soon saw the spires that would take them from the Sil zone to the Edgur zone. From grass to dirt just like his memory. The Dragon Keep tower standing tall but unlike last time there were only a few dragons flying around it. 
  Booth Noah and Fiona's faces were grim, neither knew if the news of what was happening in the Phili ring had made it back to the keep but just by looking at how few dragons were out they both had a gut feeling that the news had made it back.
  As they got closer Noah felt the ring against his chest warm-up, pulling his neck down and towards the right. Following its guidance, he saw the emperors home again recalling what had happened last time he stared he closed his eyes.
  He heard a dragon's roar in his head but when he looked around to find it he couldn't find any other dragon it could be from and neither Uni nor Fiona seemed to have heard it. He felt his ring burn more and the roar of the dragon get louder. 
  It felt like with every roar his head would be hit with a hammer. 
  He eventually gave in and opened his eyes while looking at the Emperors home, he was worried he would get knocked out from it again but instead of feeling the danger he had last time the mansion wavered. 
  Flickering in the distance. 
  He suddenly saw a rainbow of colours before it disappeared again along with the dragon's roar and the ring burning against his chest. It instead had gone cold to the touch. 
  The roar still felt fresh in his mind, feeling like it was very close to being just like Aurelius' roar before he ate his food. He couldn't help but wonder what he was doing right now and how he was right now, the dragon had become his best friend over the nine months they were left alone together. 
  In all his life Noah had managed to make a few friends but the village he had grown up in only had a few children and they were all typically a few years older than himself which seemed to make a barrier between them. 
  He grew up fast having to mature sooner than most due to his fathers passing as well as just making friends in general. He was only close to the adults in the village his closest friend would have been Elder Yuric who used to be an adventurer, he would listen to all his stories he had to tell when he had time to visit him. 
  Having the bond with Auleric made him feel like they were already closer than most, he also spent all his spare time in the nine months he was in the splintered dimension telling Auleric everything about his life or playing different games with him. 
  Noah turned his gaze back to the Dragon Keep. The Keep represented so much to the empire, strength, power and wisdom. No other Kingdom or Empire had such a dominating symbol to show their countries best qualities. 
  As they got closer two large dragons dropped from the sky above both of them a maroon red, levelling out in front of them. 
  "State your name, rank and reason for visiting the Keep!" Called out one of the two Dragon Troopers in front of them...

The Dragon Empire is one of the biggest powerhouses on the continent, keeping the other countries in line. 

Noah lives in a small village in the country with no name. He has lived his life there but after losing his father at a young age a family friend offers to teach him once he becomes an adult and he only just turned 16 now.

Lance paced outside his father's room. As the dragon king walked out. Lance turned to him as he sighed.
 
"Is my father going to be alright?"
 
He shook his head, "No, I have no idea who cast this spell, but they are giving him something to help with his healing process. From what I can tell, Eledon has been cut off from the outside world where even spirit dive, is not working?"
 
Scarlett walked into the room, "Is there anything we can do?"
 
The king caressed his chin, "There might be, but it will take both of you going threw the spirit dive together. Since I have no relation to him, this is where the two of you might succeed?"
 
Scarlet turned to Lance as he gripped his hand, "Very well if it is an option we can take to save my father, we shall do it!"
 
The dragon king sighed as he looked over at Eledon before turning to Scarlett, "Do you agree with this?"
 
Scarlet smiled as she stared at Eledon, "Yes, he has done much for us since we arrived. I know it isn't much, but we are both go in there is the chance he will wake-up. Let's take it and help him then."
 
Lance nodded as the dragon king smiled, "very well then, let us begin with both of you laying down so I can start the process of you tow doing what you need to do."
 
Some Dracomen walked over helped them get settled in as their king stared to begin chanting in the dragon tongue. Lance felt his eyes getting heavier as each moment passed. Scarlett felt the same as his words began to echo farther and farther away.
 
Lance opened his eye to see a room as dark as nothingness. He looked around and found Scarlett walking over. She seemed confused as she got closer.
 
'Lance, what is this place?'
 
Lance looked around once more, 'I have no idea, but we must be—'
 
The area shifted as a gust of wind plowed through them. When they opened their eyes, the city was that of Grandia some years in the past. Lance notices a young child crying on the side of the street. Scarlet looked over to see the child and started to rush over. Lance grabbed her arm.
 
"Scarlet, what are you doing?"
 
Scarlet turned to Lance, her expression speaking volumes. "I was going to help that child and yet you—"
 
"Scarlet, remember we are within my father's head. And the wrong move, I can lose him and any information on what happened to him?" Lance growled at her.
 
Scarlet sighed as she looked over to the child, "Wait, where's the child?"
 
The child disappeared as they looked around, Lance looked up and tugged on Scarlets gown. "Scarlet, look up."
 
Scarlet looked up to see a sea of stairs and doors lining the sky above them. Her mouth dropped as she stared. Lance shook his head in agony, before seeing if there was a way up. He noticed the child crying by one of the doors before he went through.
 
Lance rushed to a door, opened it, and stuck his hand threw. He then looked up to see it by another doorway up in the sky. He turned to Scarlet. "are you coming, or are you going to stay?"
 
Scarlet walked pasted him, "I am coming if I am right that boy might have been your father or whoever put a spell on him?"
 
Lance nodded as he followed her threw. They travelled threw every which door they came across, hoping to catch the child. With doors either leading them to dead ends and in circles of some. Lance and Scarlet felt like they were getting nowhere.
 
"Lost?" Lance and Scarlet turned around to see a younger Eledon behind them. They looked at each other. "Thought so, and I am guessing you are after that child as well then?"
 
Lance nodded, "Yes—what is up with the child? Is it…?"
 
Young Eledon shrugged, "NO idea? All I know is that it is not welcome and is doing something to me? There were others who came, but I kicked them out since they are adults say things like you need to return, your son is waiting. And other stupid things like that?"
 
Lance choked, realizing that his father's younger self was all that he remembered, he swallowed hard before opening his mouth. "Eledon, what do you remember before not being able to wake?"
 
Eledon paused for a moment, "Well, Logan and I are planning to surprise Hans by checking out the old and abandoned house outside the city walls. Why? What does that have to do with anything?"
 
Lance turned to Eledon, "Never mind, do you know how to navigate your own mind? I think that's what this place is?"
 
Eledon shook his head, "Sorry, no, all I know is that we are in the wrong place. Follow me and don't tally behind."
 
Scarlet walked pasted as Lance gripped his hands into a fist, "Please be alright father, we will wake you soon." Lance whispered under his breath.
 
"Hey, are you coming! I thought I said, not lollygagging behind? Sheesh, is always like this? If I have kids, they will never be like him. I swear the nerve of this guy."
 
Lance smiled as he ran up to them. Eledon led them to the city on the ground, bringing them passed a place with several pedestals. Lance noticed that there were three intact, and the rest crumbled.
 
"What in the world?" Lance began, "What are these?"
 
"Don't know, but that kid makes his way here and stares at the mural and says 'where are they? They need to free him.' Shit like that." Eledon answered. "Well, all I know is you two are the first adults not to ask me a stupid question and were willing to come with me here. So, whatever this place is. It takes three to open?"
 
Lance took a closer look at the pedestal and noticed the words 'winds of freedom' written on it. He rushed to another one and saw the words 'earth of kindness.' Lance walked over th the last one, and it read, 'ever kind, as the wind carries the freedom.' Lance then looked at his father. He remembered stories about how his father was free as the wind but gentle as a summers breeze, from his mother.
 
Lance walked back to the pedestal with the wind of freedom and then looked up at Scarlet. "Scarlet head over to that pedestal, and you, Eledon, head to the last one."
 
They looked at each other as they did as Lance asked. 
 
"Now what?" Scarlet asked.
 
Lance place his hands on the stand. "Do what I just did and close your eyes."
 
They did as Lance asked of them, and the stands began to sink into the ground. The child was standing in front of the mural. As Eledon became an adult once more before being encased into a sphere of light. Lance stared at the child who was grinning.
 
"You both came, I wondered when they would send you?"
 
Lance stared at the child as Scarlet walked over. The child raised his hand. "What do you want?" Scarlett asked.
 
The child smiled as he looked up. "My name is not important, but you must go to Vahalin city, there you will meet a man by the name of Gregson. He will help you master more of your powers as a Ren-Ky's. He is an exiled dracoman and has been asked by a masked individual to train you. As of now, you two are too weak to face the Faremin. Luna and Hunter are doing fine as well as Fang and Zero's journey. Gale and Zephyr are still unsure what to do—"
 
"Wait, how do you know all of this?" Scarlet interrupted.
 
The child playfully placed his finger over his mouth. "That's a secret. Now I think you should all return."
 
Lance reached out, "Wait, we have more questions!" 
 
The area became dark as Lance shot his eyes open. He found himself back as he looked over, Lance noticed Scarlet walking shortly after him. He rushed out of his bed and ran to his fathers' side. 
 
Eledon sat awake, rubbing his head as medical personal were asking him questions. Tears began to well up as Lance ran to his father, then ran to his father. Almost shoving him off his bed. Eledon noticing that Lance was overjoyed to have him back.
 
"Father," Lances spoke, before whipping his tears. "What happened to you?"
 
Eledon sighed, "Well, to put short, Hans is alive and is now part of the Faremin forces, he came here for something, and I had confronted him. Yet he bested me, leaving me with injuries that I should have died from, but then this masked person came in and did something. And from what I have gathered from the doctors here is that this masked man saved my life and did something to get Hans out of the castle. Most of the soldiers never knew who he was and just called him an intruder."
 
Lance went pale, "Wait, Hans survived?"
 
Eledon nodded, "Yes, I was shocked as you are, but I did find out from him that they are planning something big. I have no idea what—" Eledon stopped as he gripped his head.
 
"Father, what's wrong?" Lance touched his shoulder.
 
'You mustn't worry, Lance and Scarlett, they need to head to Vahalin, you know the way.' Lance pulled his hand away from his father.
 
"What the—what just happened?"
 
Eledon leaned back, "You heard that too?" Lance nodded, "Then we both know where we have to go then. I am guessing whomever this masked man is he has plans with you and possibly the rest of the Ren-Ky's?"
 
Lance turned to Scarlett. "Yes, when Lance and I were pulled into your mind threw a spirit dive, we met a child that told us about the others, even if it was a little. Yet I get this feeling we know this masked man somehow. I just cannot figure out where, though?"
 
Eledon smiled, "Well, it's been a long day, and knowing that I am awake now does not mean that I am not tired. In the morning we leave. So, get a good night's sleep. I know King Logan would like to speak to me, but getting you two to Vahalin is more important. The person who resides there; worked alongside the first Ren-Ky, ant the others before. His knowledge is invaluable to you at this time."
 
Lance nodded as he and Scarlett left. Eledon sighed, "Damit, even I figured out who it is. Just how did you come back after that blow. Damit boy, I know you did this so that they can truly grow. But sending my son and Scarlett, you are insane." Eledon stares out the window. "What is going on in this world that allows the dead to return so easily? What circumstances were needed to bring you back? Tell me?"
 
Wolf appeared in the room, "If you want to know, you will have to wait. When I tell them they will be shocked? Eledon, I saved you by getting the Faremin to target me and from protecting Lance and the others. So—"
 
Eledon laughed softly, "Your just like him, worrying about others, yet you have a plan to reveal yourself to them soon, right?"
 
Wolf nodded, "Yes, for now, I am known as Black Wolf by the enemy, and on Junra first, I will send out my summons for them, I have the location and everything. So, don't worry about that."
 
"Wait, how will you be summoning them?"
 
Wolf turned to Eledon, "By letter, making it seem its form one of the others in each group. Lance and Scarlett will get a letter under the guise of Fang, telling them where to meet. They will be there at the same time as the others. As of now, I must be going, I have other plans needing to take place."
 
Wolf vanished in the shadows as Eledon sighed, "I hope you know what you are doing."
