In a world where people powers come from their dragonic ancestors. A boy with the blood of the king of the north, king of the south, king of the west, and king of the north will have to overcome his dark past in order to defeat the demon king.

Sometime in the future, the world is dominated by three people. Hades, Dragon King, and Lucifer. This is the story of Dragon King, the head of the four-men mercenary group who single-handily tramples the mercenary world and forever leaves a mark in the history of war.

Seiran had always hated these grand fairs his dad took him to. As one of the possibilities for the title of Crown Prince, his father held him in much higher regard than his brothers. Seiran was the oldest of 5 boys, but he was the only son of the late Queen Samaria. Seiran was the only son to have a dark tan and beautiful, long, curly, dark brown hair. His piercing dark brown eyes and chiseled face made him the envy of his step mother. 

Queen Samaria was Samoan, but fell in love with his father, King Seishun Shi of Japan. King Seishun loved her with all his heart, but after she died he couldn't function for a long time. The Dowager Queen forced him into another marriage so that there would be more heirs. 

Seiran's brothers were all very pale, tall and skinny, with long flowing black hair. They were handsome, but not as strikingly beautiful as Seiran. The current Queen and his step-mother, Ivana, hailed from Russia. She hated his look and made him straighten his hair to match his brothers. She often wouldn't allow him to go outside for long because she hated his darker skin. 

Today he would be presented to all of the eligible princesses from various posts of the world. At the age of 44, with a 16 year old son, Seiran was tired of having to go through this process. He simply wished to be left alone. Queen Ivana wouldn't have it. She wanted to have control over some aspect of his live and keep him from being able ro take the Crown Prince position. If the woman he married were less affluent than the one her sons married, then they would have a better chance of passing him up. 

Today's event was going to be a very grand one; there would be a demonstration from the Emerald Dragon army, a small army, but the most powerful one in the world. The Emerald Army had settled in a large section of the south suburban part Illinois, remnants of a once lush planet, Belsyian. US government couldn't interfere with the space due to planetary rules which superseded country rules. The space they occupied was considered the planet's new home. It's leader was the first and only woman general to be respected by her peers. She didn't appear much in public, so this would be a rare chance for people to greet her.

Seiran stood by the window in the grand box seating room that overlooked the field. The Emerald dragon army would take on the Japanes army in a special show. There was no killing involved, but who was to say there would be injuries. The Emerald Dragon Army was known for its viciousness, so the Japanese army was pumped to get to take them on.

The announcer came out. "Good afternoon everyone and thank you for coming out for this joyous event. We will get started with out much anticipated match between the Emerald Dragon Army and the Japanese Army. Everyone please take your seats. The bell will sound shortly."

"Come Seiran." King Seishun beckoned. Seiran sat on the left side of his father with his 22 year old twin brothers Ryuske and Ryuki which adored their older brother. Queen Ivana sat to the right with his brothers Mitsukuni, 39, and Akito, 36, who hated and always plotted against Seiran.

Seiran sat down, his face stoic as usual, and immediately the buzzer went off. The Japanese army came out in their battle uniforms which were made out of a special black and red polymer that was supposed to be able withstand heady impact. They knew they would have an uphill battle and wanted to get the upper hand. The Emerald Dragon Army hadn't appeared yet. their door was open, yet no one came out. The soldiers stood on the field laughing and mocking them, assuming they were afraid to come out now that they see their new gear.

As the fans grew restless from waiting, a loud horn sounded. Drums began playing and out walks the Emerald Dragon Army in emerald green and black state of the art battle gear. They came in marching to the beat of the drums being played. Many times dancing and doing tricks. The Japanese Army was shocked. Was this who they feared? They looked like clowns dancing across the field. Their confidence grew and suddenly they were ready to take them on. 

Another horn sounded and the Emerald Dragon Army lept into action. The scene was chaotic, but so far the Japanese Army was able to keep up. This gave them even greater confidence. A third and final horn sounded and another figure arrived on the field. This figure was short,  but hefty. It donned a huge gold and emerald dragon that wrapped around the entire uniform. The future stopped for a moment seeming to assess the situation. The crowd was roaring, this had to be the Emerald Dragon General he had heard so much about. All of a sudden the figure charged into the crowd of fighters. One by one Japanese Army soldiers dropped. Other Emerald Dragon Army soldiers took this as a sign to get serious. After 5 minutes, there were no more Japanese Army soldiers standing. In a matter of 30 minutes, the demonstration of power was over. 

Seiran looked upon the field with his mouth slightly open. His brothers had been jumping and screaming at the field the entire time. He had never imagined that this small army could wipe out their forces so quickly and efficiently. His father started laughing. "As expected from the Dragon General. She showed no mercy."

"Father, is this the army whose academy you want us to attend?", Seiran asked.

"Indeed my son. Aren't they magnificent? They only take 15 students per year. You won't learn all of their secrets, but those who have taken their trainings have always become great kings and noblemen. You Ryuske and Ryuki will go this time. I tried sending Mitsukuni and Akito, but they came back saying it was too hard." King Seshun stated. 

"And they are led by a woman?", Seiran asked.

"Unbelievable, right? But you saw her just now. The one with the gold and emerald dragon is her. She never shows her full face, only her eyes. But I'll never miss the chance to speak with her, even if I can never see her face.", the king stated, looking sad that he wasn't deemed worthy of jet visage. 

"How impudent. Surely she'll show her face to someone of your status fear husband." Queen Ivana angrily spat out. "I'll make sure of it. Maybe toug could have her as your concubine since you fancy her so much."

"I would never even dream of saying such nonsense to her. I have no infatuation towards her, I would love rui have her as a daughter-in-law though.", the king stated glancing at Seiran, but Seiran didn't notice. The Queen did and got a wicked thought. This woman was only a general in some army. She surely would be low enough in status that the senators would never allow her to take the throne as crown princess. 

"How about it Seiran, wouldn't a girl like that be just right for you.", she stated.

"I have told you countless times I am not interested in marriage. Have the first 2 not been enough for you? Can't you simply let me be. I'm already 44, there's no more need to arrange a marriage.", Seiran stated with a very annoyed look.

"Seishun, you've always said that a man should have people on his side. I'm simply trying to help, yet Seiran is blocking me. Won't you say something?  It's my job as his mother to select a bride. I only want what's best for our son." she said sweetly, while inside laughing maniacally. This will keep you from ascending the thrown. 

"Seiran I agree with your mother."

"Step-mother...", Seiran interrupted. 

King Seishun sighed very deeply. He knew Seiran never fully trusted or liked his step-mother, but he was actually in agreement with this match. If only he could convince her people to make it happen. The Emerald Dragon General refused all suitors. She had a son who was also a great soldier, even at the age of 18. She groomed him to be a general as she and her brother were. She even took pains to end her ability to reproduce so that she would ward off any possible suitors, but they still persisted. All he could do was try.

Seiran was a prince of Japan who was groomed to one day became king. Only in order to become Crown Prince, he had to get married which he never wanted to do again. After 2 failed marriages he was forced to try another due to the whims of his step-mother who wanted to make sure he never became the crown prince.

Erica was the general of the Emerald Dragon Army of Belysia. Belysia was a planet that had been destroyed during a great planetary war, but was rebuilding their strength in a compound on planet Earth and becoming one of the greatest armies ever seen. Elandra was coming to the end of her mourning period where she would be forced to marry once again

Forced into a marriage of convenience, will these two find love and concur their past demons?



"Was that supposed to make me want to stay or leave?", Seiran stated sarcastically. 

"Neither, it's just facts. Take them or leave them. You have 5 minutes to decide. If I'm going to go along with having to get married, it will be on my terms. Period."

Ryjin was looking straight at Sai as sai looked Right back at him Ryjin smiled and Said in Perfect Chinese.

Lou Cheng murmured the name, turning to the direction of the Japanese representative team. The girl in the yukata looked towards him as well with a demurred gaze that portrayed no hostility.

They might not even be able to parry it if they did not see it coming.
It was two sides of the same coin with Peng Leyun's inferior version of Cloudless Thunder Blade but different greatly in presentation. When Peng Leyun clapped his hands together, his opponents could tell it was time to calm down and focus on dodging. Flying Dragon Takedown, however, gave away minimal warnings. By the time one sees the move coming and activates a reaction, more often than not they would have already been hit. Of course, it can't be any faster than the speed of lightning, so there was still a chance of dodging or parrying it if one stood reasonably far away from the caster.
In short, the Xinzhai Sect was a Japanese Kendo Sect that was deeply influenced by Buddhism, and Kaori Karasawa, before advancing to the Inhuman stage, wowed the whole nation with her martial arts imbued with Kendo which gained her the title of "a genius that appears only once in every three thousand years".
Originally, if both sides were roughly at the Inhuman stage, weapons were allowed in arena battles. However, since most of the Inhuman contestants in the King of Youth Pro League only made the breakthrough recently, there wasn't much confidence in their control over their abilities. "Hm," replied Kaori Karasawa absently. Scenes of how the match would play out against Lou Cheng were already flashing through her mind.

"Good, you don't have to fight each other," said Zhong Ningtao, happy at the results of the lot drawing.
Moreover, Peng Leyun against Gusai practically secures a place in the finals. "Wild card team"— mission complete!
Having taken down Wahku, who was a lot stronger than Gusai, and with the experience of dealing with Heart Reflection Punch, Peng Leyun's chances of winning could only be higher than before.
"Not bad, not bad," agreed Lou Cheng absently. Rapidly working his fingers across the screen, he informed Ke of the result.
"Kaori Karasawa."
A reply soon came from Yan Zheke.
"Seems like the Eastern hosts have given up…[sits with a blank expression]"
"Haha, that's what I thought too. It's probably because Gusai doesn't stand a real chance against any of us, and Shengxiang has already outdone Nanzheng and Miluo by securing a place in the Top 4s, so it doesn't really matter to them now," agreed Lou Cheng, adding on.
"Right, right. There's no need for underhanded tactics anymore. [laughs while covering mouth]" replied Yan Zheke. "Cheng, are you fated to be enemies with Japan? Somehow you keep drawing into them. First it was Ichiei Sakata, then Mouko Yamashita, and now Kaori Karasawa. Are you planning to take their entire representative team down by yourself?"
Ichiei Sakata, Mouko Yamashita and Kaori Karasawa were the strongest in the Japanese representative team, so beating them was no different from defeating their whole team.
"Pfft, now that you mention it, there must be bad blood between us in our past lives, if not why do I keep running into them? [confused expression]" replied Lou Cheng. "Kaori Karasawa is extremely strong. She has mastered the "Qi" stage and had the 6th Dan Black Belt for almost a year. At her full power, she has blades in her hands. I think she might even be stronger than Peng Leyun right now, I'll consider myself lucky if she doesn't beat me to a pulp. It's not at all likely for me to overpower her."
I'm not being humble either, just stating facts. Better not brag about something I'm not confident about in front of little fairy.
"I believe in you, brother Cheng~" Yan Zheke sent a cute gif of [a monkey whipping hearts out of its tail]. "I'm sure you'll do well!"
Though I can't say you have a good chance of winning, since lying gives you bad karma!
But it's strange that Cheng keeps running into Mighty Ones from Japan. Hmm, this whole four nation competition thing is strange from the start… To think they gave us four wild card invitations. And there was that mysterious woman knocking on the door at night…
Yan Zheke looked up while pressing her lips together, debating the possibilities in her mind, but she just couldn't piece everything together. Quickly cutting off her thoughts, she began paying close attention to the class again.

Back in the live-stream thread, "Eternal Nightfall" Yan Xiaoling had sent a "sighing while spreading arms" at the results of the lots drawing. 　
"What's this? Weren't the Eastern hosts going to pull strings?"

"Then I overestimated their shamelessness…[spits]" replied "A Plumber Eating Mushrooms".
"Enough about that, the main question now is, what are the chances of my idol winning against Kaori Karasawa?" asked "Brahman".
"20% at best," replied "Pig-Riding Knight". A sensible estimation.
"Lou Cheng had trouble handling an all out Veigar, not to mention Kaori Karasawa! Even though "a beautiful girl genius that only appears once every three thousand years" is exaggerating, her strength is definitely the real deal," replied "Unparalleled Dragon King".
"Depends on whether she lets her guard down, or whether she sustained injuries from the tough fight against Veigar. Lou Cheng always outdoes himself, so we don't have to worry much from his side," replied "Invincible Punch", who had almost made Lou Cheng his own example.
"I'll enjoy the match along with my snacks then. *cries* [wipes tears with handkerchief] " replied "Brahman".
"I'm not listening, I'm not listening, I'm not listening! [rolls on the floor while covering ears]" replied "Yan Xiaoling".

After the lot drawing ended, Lou Cheng and the rest returned to the hotel. Among them, the exhausted Ren Li along with Peng Leyun who still suffered from the lingering effects of "Hidden Scent", returned to their rooms without a word. Ann Chaoyang, on the other hand, stationed himself in the lobby sofa, watching as strangers passed by, listening to the songs played from his earphones. He enjoyed the solitude in the middle of passing crowds. 　
Lou Cheng freshened up, then cuddled up in his bed, chatting with Yan Zheke as he went through the footages of Kaori Karasawa's fights, courtesy of "Unparalleled Dragon King". Nothing out of the routine for the past few days.
But he didn't dread it. Enjoyed it even.
The hotel had two exits, where two groups of suspicious people loitered around respectively, watching and waiting. Time passed, yet none of the members from the Wild Card Team went out alone.
"Aren't they way too obedient? Why aren't they going out for some fun?" muttered the leader among them, gritting his teeth. "Shengxiang's red light district is world-class famous."
Aside from the usual stuff, there were some real kinky shit out there!
"The China teams in the past always had people sneaking out at night," said the man beside him, confused.
"Maybe it's because these four are weirdos…" sighed the leader. "The girl doesn't even go shopping, isn't she wasting her trip here?"
"Ren Li is bad with directions, their guide has requested her to only go out with his company," explained the other man.
"I heard she can't memorize faces as well. Who knows when she'll forget what her guide looks like," said the leader, fantasizing about the possibilities.
"Not as if she can't memorize the face of someone she sees everyday," said the other man, his voice growingly dejected.

After two more days of tough training, the disqualified Ren Li and Ann Chaoyang volunteered to spar against Lou Cheng in turns.
"The Big Devil" Peng Leyun on the other hand, with the experience from fighting Wahku and the negative effects of Hidden Scent lingering in him, opted out for most of the sparring exercises. It wasn't until six hours before the match began that he fully recovered from it.
August 25th, 8 P.M. People with burning enthusiasm flooded into the Shengxiang stadium.
In the first match, Peng Leyun almost lost from playing around too much again. He only put up a fierce retaliation after completely experiencing a full set of "Six Paths of Reincarnation Punches", beating Gusai by a hair after exchanging their final moves.　
He had to drag out a battle that could have been ended in a minute to one that lasted for ten minutes!
Fifteen minutes of theatrical performance ensued. Once again, the referee stepped onto the arena, beckoning to both sides.　　
Lou Cheng stood up slowly, phone in hand. Across him, Kaori Karasawa dusted her Kendo suit, then rose.

My body got covered in a weird blue flame, My nails grew sharper,  I grew Demon Wings and Horns. I grasped my sword and Charged the first hero that yelled at me, we crossed swords but my sword broke his sword, he got decapitated by my sword. a Fireball appeared in front of me and hit me, but thanks to my armor, the spell did nothing

I chanted the spell at the Hero who sent the spell at me and killed them. The next person to confront me was a spearwoman, I summoned NoLifeKing to deal with them, he swiftly killed her. A summoner summoned some bone dragons but they died just from my mana pressure, I did an auto attack on them, they also died quickly. The next person was a swordswoman, she charged at me aiming for my head with her sword, I blocked it with my sword and broke her sword, I killed them quickly by decapitating them just like the first sword user. The last person was left, cowering before my overwhelming display of strength.

Hey, um, Hi! I’m currently rewriting this. So if you click on my account or just search up ‘Reincarnated as a Slime’ You’ll find it. I literally made this two years ago so the writing is really just terrible. Sooooo, if you want to read this but with better characters, plot, writing, and basically everything, check it out. There’s not many chapters out for it but it’s muchhh better than this. Oh, also, it’s way less of a ripoff of ‘That time I got Reincarnated as a slime’.

"We have analyzed a lot of known ingredients from the weapon's materials, but these aren't the main ingredients. It's a synthetic material, but we didn't have a clue about the main material at first as we couldn't find it's source. It wasn't until the Institute conducted a materials comparison and inadvertently found a genetic analysis chart of Slime."
Slime was the official term for now, but it personally didn't acknowledge it and claimed to be the creation of God.
"Slime?" Li Xianyu was shocked. "The weapon material is Slime?"
Suddenly, he remembered that Slime had said it was missing a part of its body. Was the weapon made of the missing part of its body?
"No, the comparison results are very similar, but not the same. For example, it's comparable to the genetic similarity between people," Lightning King said.
"Are you sure?!" Li Xianyu almost jumped up.
Slime's genes were independent of the current gene tree, and were likely to be related to the ancient demons, according to Baoze's theory, as well as Slime's words.
Slime had no digestive system, no organs that biological creatures should have had. It was a clump of simple DNA tissue.
Li Xianyu even suspected that it was part of the body of the ancient demon. After absorbing the essence of the sun and moon, it developed intelligence or something. This was very consistent with Slime's own words. 
Of course, these were only guesses, but one point they were certain of was that it was linked to the ancient demon.
They found a genome similar to that of Slime in the dark javelin, meaning it had something to do with the ancient demon, and anything to do with the ancient demon could be summed up in a word: Badass.
"I remember that besides the Great Deities Palace, there were two ancient ruins that had been identified. Can you find the forces behind the weapons along these clues?" Li Xianyu asked.
"It's a little difficult, the clues are too vague. The Fuzhou branch has captured the remainder of the smuggling gang, but they know nothing about the employer's information. The only thing that can be confirmed is that the goods were sent from the Philippines."

"What does that mean?" The rookie didn't understand.
"Either that, or it's a one-off disposable weapon. Or your Great-Grandma exhausted its power. In this way, we don't have any other way to do it except to research it in terms of material," Lightning King said.
If the weapon could still be used, it may be possible to find a breakthrough in refining techniques.

Lightning King had been doing his best all these years and had some good achievements, but that didn't change the fact that he was weak.
Some middle-ranked staff who were good at combat could beat him easily, let alone senior staff.
Lightning King thought he was a Pikachu, he couldn't kill anyone with a hundred thousand volts.
He and Pikachu were the two great disgraces amongst lightning users.
Now, even a rookie like Li Xianyu had reached the top of the middle-ranked staff. This was a rookie whom he had looked after since he entered the company.
"I use my brain, I use my brain…" Lightning King murmured to himself and hung up the phone.

"What are the Germans doing? They actually screwed up such a major task. They should commit seppuku to atone for this." Sakurai Tokimasa, who was donned in a kimono, cursed.
"The matter has already happened, getting angry wouldn't solve anything. One out of the six Soul Destroying Javelin is gone. If so, we can't kill the Unparalleled War Spirit. We should think of what to do next." the man sitting opposite Sakurai Tokimasa commented.
The noble man from the United Kingdom has always maintained his grace.
"If they don't want to commit seppuku to atone for their sins, they should make amends for their faults. That's the mark of a true man." Sakurai Tokimasa said coldly.
"They cannot be blamed for this, no one knew that the Unparalleled War Spirit will go to Fuzhou, and happened to be near the sea," the man in the suit said.
"Will this alert the enemy instead?" Sakurai Tokimasa was worried
"No, I guess they can't even figure it out. The weapon is a weapon, and only when it comes out of its sheath, will people know who it's going to kill," the man commented.
"I think Mr. Gatsby is right." A crisp sound rang, accompanied by the sound of someone munching on a watermelon.
There was another table in this small Japanese-style compartment, which was filled with food. There were four full plates of watermelons, unlike the simple and delicate sashimi placed on the table where Sakurai Tokimasa and the aristocratic man were sitting.
The only diner on the table was a beautiful girl with long hair. She had an oval-shaped face, big eyes and long black hair, which was the image of an anime lady in the otaku's mind. There was a heavy sniper gun on the wall behind her.
The aristocratic man was stunned and explained, "I'm not Gatsby. You can call me Mr. William."
The girl looked up, her mouth full of watermelon juice. She muttered and nodded twice. "You are not as handsome as Gatsby."
The aristocratic man was speechless. With a slight twitch in his forehead, he knew who the girl was talking about. He was a famous actor who played the role of Gatsby. He had an angular square face, with his hair combed back, much like his image at this time. However, by comparing an actor to him, William felt insulted. He was born into an aristocratic family in the United Kingdom, and a marquis appeared at the height of his family's glory.
The pride of the British aristocracy was the pride of the world's aristocracy, which had nothing to do with power and money. It was pride that they were born with.
"Yukinako, you look like an uneducated country girl." Sakurai Tokimasa reprimanded.
Yukinako stuck out her tongue and dared not answer back, continuing to nibble on the watermelon.
She was a very unruly girl, and the elders of the family called her a wild girl. She lost her parents since her childhood and was raised by her grandfather's younger brother, Sakurai Tokimasa.

The family was very secretive about that period of history. By World War II, the Sakurai family was already a marginalised family amongst Japan's demon descendant community.
During World War II, Japan was full of soldiers. The demon descendants followed the Japanese invasion of China and wreaked havoc. However, the outcome of World War II was a painful history for Japan and a terrible thing to remember.
The loss of Japan's demon descendant families and the post-war depression had helped the marginalized family. They had a turnaround and rose rapidly.
Sakurai Tokimasa said, "What else can you do besides gnawing watermelon? You screwed up when I asked you to assassinate the Li family descendant. In my days, you would have to commit seppuku to atone for your sins."
Sakurai Yukinako snarked back, "A watermelon as big as this one costs 3000 yen in the supermarket, but only 20 yuan in China. I have earned almost 2600 yen by eating one. If I eat ten a day, I will make ten million yen a year. You can make money by eating."
Sakurai Tokimasa grew more frustrated.
William was struck by the Japanese girl's reasoning. "Interesting idea. In the Chinese language, this is called you have an interesting way of thinking."
Yukinako shook her head. "No, in the Chinese language, I'm what you will call an idiot."
"You have gone astray in China," Sakurai Tokimasa lectured.
Although I don't understand, I know it's not a good word.

Japanese curse words were indeed very scarce. In Japan, "bakayarou" was a relatively harsh curse word. "Kuuki Yomenai" was a very, very harsh curse word. 
Unlike in China, one wouldn't be able to finish saying all the swear words in three days and three nights. It had something to do with national quality and with language. Mandarin was indeed the most perfect and developed language. Japanese mixed with Mandarin was the best proof.
In the Asian circles, Chinese was better than Japanese and Japanese was better than Korean. Korean was a lower-level language than Japanese. When Koreans speak, they like to mix in English phrases from time to time. 
The Chinese do so to show off but it wasn't the case for them. Many times they cannot express meaning in the Korean, so they use English instead.
The former Korean language was a vassal that belonged to the Chinese, also called the Chinese culture circle. Of course, South Korea strongly denies this now.
William brought the subject back to normal. "We have exhausted the dragon bone and there is no time to spend decades building a new Soul Destroying Javelin. I consulted with representatives of several other countries to come up with a solution."
Sakurai Tokimasa asked, "What solution?"
"The Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi can replace the last Soul Destroying Javelin. The alliance hopes that the Sakurai family can take the lead and help us borrow the Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi." William threw out a shocking request.
"No way."
"Don't rush to refuse, we'll offer a right price."

Sakurai Tokimasa knelt down on the tatami and looked at the sake in his hand, dazed.

"Wait until you beat the girl from the Aoki family. Now, you don't have the right to be involved in such a confidential matter."
Sakurai Tokimasa looked up and muttered to himself, "Unparalleled War Spirit, have you ever lost?"


When Li Xianyu was 20 years old, he received his father's inheritance, an 18-year-old great-grandmother who was incredibly beautiful. 

Li Xianyu: "Great-Grandma, why are you so young?"

Great-Grandma: "That's because I died when I was 18 years old."

Xia Yu made a wish to eat until he vomited. And this particular wish brought him to a completely strange spirit world which was full of cuisines.

"You need to not only satisfy normal people's appetite but also all kinds of devils and ghosts. Use your food to move them!" the old man said to him coolly.
So, Xia Yu would never stop running on the road of becoming a Chef God.
 

Compared to Phil, who was like the blazing sun, the man on the floor was like the moon. Mysterious, fit, and tall, though, I had to wonder why he had on a mask and clothes that look like one would wear in a new year Japanese festival. He was out of time and place.

"Ugh." The man groaned.

I reached up towards the mask to peel it away. The man snatched my hands from prying it off. Tch, I was so close to wondering what this guy even looked like.

Phil jumped backward and pulled out his knife. I wondered where he stashed that. I held up my arm to stop him.

"Who?"

"My name is Berry. I'm very sorry about that crash landing. I was just trying to get you to land."

"What?"

"I had to freeze up your engine so you would land, though it seems it was a bit too much."

"Where am I?"

"You're on the Solitary Mountain in the Kingdom of Dragons. Your plane crashed into the balcony of my home."

"Your home?"

I sighed. I don't know if the man was still dazed, or he was just slow.

"Your home! I'm so sorry." The man bolted up and bowed. "I can pay for the damage....." He looked around, confused, wondering where he was.

"I think that force landing rattled his mind." Phil spoke, "Though I believe this could turn bad if he goes crazy."

I curiously peered towards Phil. How come he was not even startled that I could change into a dragon but was warier about the man in front of us. Was his mind more whacked out than the man in front of us? I quickly brandished away such thoughts and instead felt relieved that he did not run away screaming. The idea of seeing Phil run away screaming was a funny thought. 

His serious expression usually stays in two forms: expressionless and weary.

"How? What? Where?" The man examined the world around him.

I was like that when I first came here but not to such a point where I stood there completely dazed.

"My plane!" The man ran up in bewilderment. He checked every angle around it to see the partially destroyed plane. "Noooooo, how am I supposed to go to the Sakura Festival now?" He was groaning loudly.

"He doesn't listen, does he?" Phil whispered.

I couldn't agree with him more.

 "Hello?" I waved towards him to catch his attention. "I got a couple of questions for you. I can't keep calling you, hey, or you. So what is your name?"

"Don." Looking back towards me, his demeanor changed.

"How did you travel to this world? Did you pass some kind of dimensional barrier to come to Torren? Is Earth still the same?"

"Torren? Isn't this still Earth?"

I shook my head. "No, the world you are in now is called Torren. I used to live on Earth until a year ago."

"You're kidding me, right?" Don looked at me as if I was talking some random gibberish.

"No, why would I lie? Where do you think the dragon that was chasing you came from? This is not Earth, you know."

"Dragon? Dragon!" Don searched around him nervously. "The dragon is not here, is it? It destroyed my precious plane." He angrily stated.

"Sorry. It was all my fault for being rough with your plane and destroying it."

"Why are you, sorry?"

"Because I'm the dragon." I pointed at myself.

Don's expression changed from disbelief, fear, and finally to awe."Hah?"

"Like I said, I was trying to make you land because I saw a familiar sight of planes flying in this world. I knew you were an inhabitant of Earth."

"You're the dragon?" He gazed at me strangely. "You're a human."

"I'm.....both?" I changed in front of him there and then. Looming over him with hetro-colored eyes, I spoke. "I've been changed."

"Wah!" Don fell and scuttled backward like a roach. His back hit the cold metal plane.  "Are you going to eat me?"

"How barbaric. I'm a genuine lady. Eating people is like cannibalism." I huffed cold breath in disdain. The ground underneath me quickly frosted over. "See Phil. That's the reaction that you should be having. Why aren't you like that too?"

Phil was frozen on the spot, but he did not seem to be terrified. "After you were eating gold and creating and making strange things, I assumed you were something else. An elf does not create mechanical contraptions like you and instead likes to lounge around in the forest, enjoying life. Though to be considered a legendary creature to be born now of all times when the dragon reign's cycle to be over is very odd."

"I haven't destroyed the city." I blatantly replied.

"That too, nor do you show any signs of rampage. You even have God's Blood and God's Magic with you. Plus, you haven't killed me."

Maybe I was overthinking things, but this future demon king was a lot more cool-headed than I gave him credit for. 

Calculating, yes. 

Scheming? I think so. No, I'm sure so.

Once again, I reverted into my human form. Yep, being in human form was a lot more comfortable than moving around a large body though I had to wonder where my clothes went to when I shifted forms.

"You're an actual dragon!" Don cried out startled, and his curiosity piqued by the strange event that was happening before him.

"I hoped you would catch on a bit sooner."  I sighed. This wasn't getting anywhere at the rate I wanted to go. "So, can you answer my question." I was tired of this back and forth dragon thing. 
Even Phil was getting a bit impatient. 
I asked again. "How did you get through to this world? And why are you wearing a mask?"

"I don't know. I woke up in my plane, flying through a thick cloud of fog that came out of nowhere. I also remembered bits and pieces of going to the Sakura festival.  I couldn't land nor see anything in front of me. It was truly a nerve-wracking experience. I thought I would've died from an unexpected crash."

"And?"

"Somehow, I ended out of the fog and came to open land with a bright sky. This was the first time in my life since I saw such natural beauty; it doesn't even compare to Earth."

"I'm not so sure about that; there are places on Earth that are beautiful."

"Where are you from? You sound like you're speaking in Japanese."

"Really? To me, you sound like you're speaking in English." Stumped, I was amazed at the language barrier that was gone, and in its place was a universal translator that made it easy to understand one another. How this was possible, I did not know, but it seems that the only answer was magic.

"Are you Japanese?" I couldn't help but wonder why his name was not even Japanese.

"Well, I"m half french and half Japanese. My last name Dupont was taken in by my father's side. I used to live in England temporarily until my family moved to Japan when I was twelve."

"Ah, wait. That's like a whole different country. Though you do have that slight English accent."

"This just gets stranger and stranger."

"What is strange is that you are wearing a mask." Phil cut in. He was wearily staring at Don as if he was a criminal.

"I'm sorry. This mask is sentimental. I'll take it off." Don pushed the mask up on his head. His black hair and stunning greenish-gray eyes stared back. I couldn't help but stare. It was rare to see such colored eyes in an Asian descent. It matched perfectly with his baby face. "Did you, by any chance, see a lady in white clothes before you arrived here?"

"Lady in white?" Don thought it over. "I vaguely remember a woman in white clothes."

"Did she say anything to you?"

"I....don't quite remember completely." Don scratched his head. "I do remember her saying something about going somewhere and something about world merging?"

"You too, huh. Wow." I asked excitedly. So Earth and Torren were slowly merging. The lady in white was some kind of being that brought us here.

"There was one more thing she said. It went something like...."Don was thinking hard, "Beware of the Black Moon.....something...fight for your existence."

"It seems you hit your head a little too hard upon the crash," Phil spoke. He crossed his arms.

"Black Moon? Fight for our existence?" I didn't hear anything like that. "That does not make sense. We are going to need more clues on the white lady."

"Though I have to ask. Have you got this strange information coming through your head? It has my name, title, and abilities." Don asked. He was looking in the air where only he could see.

"Yes, I got that too when I came here. What does yours say?"

"Flying Demonic Maniac."

"Pfft." Phil held back his laugh.

"That's better than me. Mine is a Gaming Greedy Dragon."

"That fits you so perfectly, especially the greedy part." Phil retorted and burst out laughing. Walking over nonchalantly, I gave him a quick kick to the knee.

"Ow! What was that for?" Phil hissed, and he hopped around on one leg.

"Anything else?" I turned over towards Don and smiled.

"I got an engineer and Earth magic."

"Interesting, so both of you are blessed by God and are Adventurers. Outside the nobles, the only people or being able to have magic are Adventurers."

"Are you one as well?" Don asked Phil.

"You can say something like that."

"Though we need to do something with your plane. I don't think it's a good idea to leave it out and letting it smoke like this. We might bring trouble." I looked over towards the plane. To see it in such a condition made me wince.

"Trouble? Do you know how strange that sounds coming from your mouth?" Phil snorted, rubbing his knees once more. "You're a dragon for crying out loud. You're the trouble that scares away all the monsters in the vicinity. I haven't seen a single one nearby since we have arrived here."

I couldn't say anything. It was true. This damnable curse Double Trouble was always reeling its ugly head in some shape or form. The only thing was that this curse seemed to not activate in my domain. The way he said made me realize the oddity of the whole situation.

"If you don't mind. I would like a new change of clothes. Being in this bloodied up clothes makes it a bit uncomfortable and cold." Don shivered.

"Ah-" I couldn't help but notice that he was right. Blood was spilled in large blotches all over his body.  He needed new clothes, and I believed they were many back inside. If only I knew where half the things were in the giant castle.

I’m rich! Gahahahaha! Wait.... Noooooooo. I’m eating it? Someone stop me, for once in my life I am considered a billionaire but now I have to resort to eating gold for dessert or my scales will become dull and weak. Sigh....The woes of being a dragon. Especially when I can’t just leisurely spend it on my own whims anymore. Sob. Sob. 

Wait a moment, what is this? My life is entwined with a demon lord? Why? I want to live a peaceful but fun life. Not resort to having only three choices where it will lead me all down to my own death. This is not fair!

Being brought to a new world where monsters, heroes, and even magic resides. Dear god of fortune if you are there please please please stop making gold taste like sweet candy. Instead make it taste like apples. I want some apples right now, sigh. I do not sound like a dragon at all. Also please zap this damn demon lord out of my life!

"Lord D'Arc, welcome to my castle."
"Your Highness"
"Please stand up, Lord D'Arc."
"Yes"

As Gabriel standing up, the king then sits down on his throne before saying.

"You are the adventurer that Lord Roy choose to become noble, right?"
"Yes"
"And you become noble because of your contribution to the fight against the monster wave, right?"
"... Yes"
"Then, he is right about making you a noble, Kneel."

Gabriel then quickly kneels before the King as he unsheathed his sword and place it upon his shoulder and then says.

"Gabriel D'Arc, for your noble deed against the flood that happens recently, I reward you for your contribution because your deed many merchants began to use the main road once more."

Prime Minister Archibald then walked with a Silver Box toward him and gave it to Gabriel.

"Take it as it was your reward for protecting your land from the monster."
"Thank you."
"Then you may leave, but please come back for dinner because I invite you to eat with us."
"Yes"
"Good"

Gabriel then walked away from the throne room before the Butler that coming with him walked toward him and asked.

"My Lord, Do you want to stay in the Palace or going outside?"
"I will wait for the Dinner party while exploring the Capital City."
"Very Well, one of the butlers will arrive at your Inn when the dinner party is about to start."
"Thank you."

After escorting him to the outside, the Butler then bow a little before walking toward the castle once more. Seeing that the Butler walked away, Gabriel then quickly go to the Adventurer Guild to have some Quest and fill his free time with killing a monster.

By the end of the day, Gabriel able to finish two quests about killing a pack of goblin nearby and a dozen Lizardmen in the village near the Capital City. After completed all the quests, Gabriel walked to his room and took a bath. After finished, he then got a message from the butler that coming to his Inn that informs him that the Dinner Party is about to start.

"Max, why you reward him? I know you did that for a reason."
"No, I'm not."
"Please, I know you for years, and we become friends from the age of 8. So, what is the reason you reward Lord D'Arc yourself?"

I sigh at Archibald's remark. Yes, I can let Arthur reward the Young man, but instead, I reward him myself. I sigh once more before answer Archibald's question.

"Before I answer your question, I must ask what level Lord D'Arc when you last meet him?"
"Err... If my memory serves right, then his level is 58."
"Yes, but when I use my Divine Eyes, he has Level 70 instead of 58."
"What really?"
"Yes, and he also a hidden skill that I can't see with my divine eyes."
"But the only person you can't see with the divine eyes is..."
"My Grandfather, The person that single handle kill a fully grown Dragon. Even though it was not an Ancient Dragon from the Legend but it was Dragon nonetheless, and don't forget it has a level of 100."

It makes me fascinated."
"And? I know that is not only the reason."
"Yes, Another reason is that someone that able to hide their Skill from my eyes will be a powerful person like my Grandfather. I want him to at least grateful and not hate my family for an unknown reason, and also, I want him to help us with this Monster wave problem as I have a feeling that the heroes that the church summons will not be enough."
"I see, so you want to have a backup plan in case the Hero is dead."
"Yes and No, Yes, I want him to be the beacon that leads us to end the Monster Wave, and No, I don't want to depend on one person to solve humanity problem. That is the reason why I make a rule to sent a knight to help in case a Flood or Monster Wave happening. Also, thank the Goddess that we have Wave Countdown if we don't have it then humanity will perish"
"I see, then I will support your decision, but I have a bad feeling for this incoming Dinner Party."
"Why?"
"You invite Lord D'Arc to the dinner party and also invite the Hero Party as well"
"Yes, You know I can't just ignore them because if I don't invite them, the church will come after me and began to lecturing me about the proper way to dealing with the 'Hero' party."
"Yeah, I guess you are right. Let hope that they can shut their mouth in the Dining Table."

After he arrives at the palace, Gabriel walks toward the Dining Room, where he greeted by foods and drink that already been serve on top of the Table. Gabriel then snaps from his though when the Butler announces his arrival.

"Announcing Baron D'Arc of Járnland"

'Járnland? I guess that is my land name.'

Gabriel then follows the butler to the chair at the end of the table opposite of King Maximilian after he sits on the chair, King Maximilian smile before introducing the people inside the dining room.

"Greetings, Lord D'Ard. Let me introduce you to the people here."

The King then looks toward his right side, where there is a Woman, a Girl, and a Young man.

"The lovely Woman near me is My Wife, Queen Eleanor Isley Lothbrog."

The woman has Blonde hair and Green eyes. She was wearing a white dress and tied her hair into a bun.

"Greeting"
"Next to her is my Little Girl, Elizabeth Isley Lothbrog"

Elizabeth has Silver hair like her father and Green eyes like his mother. She is wearing a cute blue dress and Ribbon that tied on her hair.

"H-Hello"
"And Lastly my Son, Isaac Fredrick Lothbrog the Crown Prince of this Kingdom"

Isaac has a Silver hair but has a hint of yellow on it and Deep Blue eyes. He is wearing what looks like a Soldier uniform and has a sword beside his chair.

"Hai"
"To my left is the Hero Party"

The king then looks toward the teenager on his left side. All of them have a Japanese feature that indicates that they are not from this world.

"The first one is Kagawa Takeji, The Hero of Sword"

The hero of the sword has short black hair with brown eyes. He is wearing leather armor with red color.

"Yo"
"Next to him is Yukawa Yoshihito, The Hero Elementalist."

Yukawa has long black hair that reaches his shoulder, and he has a brown eye almost the same as Kagawa. He is wearing a black robe that almost covers his eyes and staff on his hands. Yukawa look at Gabriel for a second before muttering something.

"A quest NPC"
"Pardon me?"

Hearing nothing from Yukawa, the King then continues.

"Next to him is Aoyama Keizo. The Hero Knight"

The young man has the same hair color as the other two. He was wearing a full-body armor even though they are inside the dining room with the king and also has a sword near him.

"Damn you, Ikemen."
"The one that near him is Shimizu Saori, The Healer."

The young woman has black hair and blue eyes. She is wearing a yellow dress and holding a staff on her hand as if she wants to fight him.

"What are you looking at? you filthy pervert."
"Ehem, and lastly, the Void Mage Tsukino Yuma."

The next woman has blonde hair, which is weird if she is from Japan, but all her face is a Japanese feature. So Gabriel concludes that this young woman dyes her hair. She is wearing a black robe like the mage earlier and also covering her eyes.

"And let us eat the food..."
"Wait for second Old man"
"... What is it?"

Gabriel, able to see the guard inside the Dining room, want to draw their sword but refrain themself at the last second.

"I want to use my Challenge power to challenge him into battle."
"... Are you serious, Aoyama Keizo?!?"

The king asked the hero knight with a harsh tone showing his King Charisma that shows him that he is the ruler of humanity in this world. Even though the king raises his voice the Hero Knight ignores him and says.

"Of course, old man, I hate Ikemen Character, especially someone who has a special job like him."
"... Very Well, Then what your demand if you win?"
"His life."
"... Very well. The fight will begin tomorrow morning. The battle between the Hero Party and Baron Gabriel D'Arc. Now eat dinner."

Gabriel doesn't know what happens and looks at the king who looks back at him and shakes his head and said.

"Wait after this Dinner and I will explain"

After the Dinner party has ended, the king then asked Gabriel to follow him to his office. After arrived at his office, The king then began explaining the Hero Challenge. So basically, the Hero Challenge is the blessing of Goddess that given to the hero for their use. The challenge was only able to use once in their lifetime and on the fellow human. The trial itself is the same as Duel of Honor from his medieval time in Gabriel's previous world, where the challenger will fight the one that he challenges for something that he wants, for example, a wife and land. The difference is that in this fight, the people that participate cannot die, but when their HP becomes zero they teleported outside the Arena. The Arena also has a magic that monitors their HP from the outside.

"I'm sorry, Lord D'Arc. I can't do anything about this mess. This system is created by the goddess to support the Hero she summons and also tie them to fight for humanity and not go to the side of the monster."
"No, It's okay."
"I'm sorry once more, Lord D'Arc."
"As I said, it's okay and also calls me Gabriel."
"Then please call me Max, Good Luck Gabriel and follow the servant as they will lead you to your room as the participant can't leave the palace"

Gabriel then leads to his room where he immediately began to sleep as tomorrow he will fight for his life and against many people at once.

~ The Next Day ~

The next day Gabriel wake up and preparing himself for the battle. He is already forming a plan on how to defeat the hero party alone as he opens the door, Harris the Knight Captain already in front of his door waiting for him and leads him to the Arena. After arriver at the arena, Harris said.

"Good Luck"

Gabriel then sees that the arena is full of people and Gabriel able to see The King and his Family on what looks like a VIP stand and near them is Arthur and his Family with little Annette cheering him.

The king then stood and said.

"This is a Challenge Fight between The Hero Party and Baron Gabriel D'Arc. The one that sounds the challenge is Aoyama Keizo with Gabriel Life on the line"

The Arena then becomes silent before he was able to hear the whispering of the audience.

"To my left is Gabriel D'Arc, A Saint with Sub-Job of Guardian. Baron D'Arc is currently at Level 70."

The king then looks at the hero party before saying.

"To my right is the hero party, The sword hero, Level 71. Elementalist, Level 68. The healer Level 62. Knight, Level 70. Void Mage Level 65"

Gabriel is an orphan who wants to be a doctor to help other people with his knowledge.

One day when he walked toward his apartment, He died that day because of some accident he doesn't know.

His journey is not to stop there as he wakes up afterward.
