Merlin questioned doubtfully. The Dark Magic Region did not even have Darkness-type spells that were above Second-level, let alone Darkness-type Pandora Demon Ability which was more precious.
Wizard Leo shook his head slightly. "The Dark Magic Region doesn't have Pandora Demon Ability, of course… Forget it, get yourself ready first. I'll bring you to a place tomorrow and you'll understand then."
Wizard Leo did not tell Merlin right away but instead let Merlin head down to get ready. Merlin would naturally be clear about everything tomorrow when they would go to the said mysterious place.
Seeing that Wizard Leo was unwilling to go on, Merlin did not pursue the matter, and respectfully left Wizard Leo's room.
Merlin did not return to his own room but headed straight for the Resource Tower after he had left the Wizard Tower. He wanted to receive the robe that he would get after becoming an official member of the Dark Magic Region.
The robe of the official members of the Dark Magic Region was no ordinary robe. It could be considered a Defensive casting tool, and one would need more than a hundred contribution points to exchange for it at the Resource Tower.
When Merlin reached the Resource Tower, he saw that the tower was bustling with movement as people passed back and forth. There were many Spell Casters who were exchanging spells or potions and so on in the Resource Tower.
At the entrance of the Resource Tower, a few gray-robed Wizards were lazing around with their eyes shut.
"I'm here to get the robe for official members."
Merlin approached the gray-robed Wizards and spoke softly.
"The robe for official members? Hand over your Dark Magic ring."
One of the gray-robed Wizards opened his eyes and gave Merlin a serene look as he asked for Merlin's Dark Magic ring.
Merlin nodded and immediately handed his Dark Magic ring to this Wizard.
All information concerning a Spell Caster was recorded within the Dark Magic ring. Only the gray-robed Wizards who had mastered the designated casting tools of the Dark Magic Region were able to examine the information within the Dark Magic ring.
At first, this gray-robed Wizard seemed to be rather absent-minded but when Merlin's Dark Magic ring shone its brilliant light and he saw the information contained within the ring, his face underwent a great change. When he lifted his head to look at Merlin again, his eyes revealed his incredulity.
"Wizard Merlin, you want to receive your official member's robe?"
The gray-robed Wizard's tone of voice had evidently become respectful. After seeing the information in Merlin's Dark Magic ring, he still seemed to be in some sort of a disbelieving dream.
"That's right, give me one of those robes for official members."
Merlin nodded. Following that, the gray-robed Wizard woke up the other Wizards and briefed them in a low, urgent voice. Their expressions became dignified and they immediately went into the Resource Tower and took out a robe.
"Wizard Merlin, this is the robe for the official members of the Dark Magic Region. The powerful Runic Magic Circle inscribed on the robe will be able to defend against the attacks of First-level spells."
The robe that the gray-robed Wizard took out was ink-black. The cuffs and collar were lined with a decorative golden design, and on the left breast was a unique runic imprint. This was the distinct imprint of the Dark Magic Region that represented the official members of the organization.
Any official member of the Dark Magic Region would wear this robe if they were completing a mission outside. Other spell casters' organizations or knowledgeable Wizards would then recognize them as an official member of the Dark Magic Region.
If an official member was killed, the Dark Magic Region had an obligation to hunt and annihilate the killers until their very last breath! This was also a duty that official members would need to fulfill after signing the contract with the Dark Magic Region.
Therefore, even though one simply needed to wear the Dark Magic ring to enter the Dark Magic Region, no one was foolish enough to kill an official member of the Dark Magic Region and rob their rings, because not only would the killer be unable to enter the Dark Magic Region, they would also be constantly hunted by the Dark Magic Region.
One would only receive the Dark Magic Region's protection by becoming its official member. Temporary members did not receive such protection and would be in danger after they left the Dark Magic Region.
Merlin had some understanding of this robe for official members of the Dark Magic Region. In the past, he had admired this robe, but now, a robe that could only defend against First-level spells was not of much use to Merlin.
"There's only this type of robe? I recall that in the Resource Tower, there seems to be a robe with more exceptional defensive capabilities."
Merlin frowned as he commented in a low voice.
The gray-robed Wizard hastened to explain, "Wizard Merlin, the free robe that official members get is just this one which can defend against First-level spells. Of course, in the Resource Tower, there are robes with better defensive capabilities, but they're not given for free. If Wizard Merlin wanted to exchange for one of those, you could convert this robe into a hundred contribution points to be discounted from the robe you want, and you would have to pay the additional contribution points yourself."
Hearing this, Merlin broke out into a smile. "I'll exchange for that then. As for the required contribution points, naturally, I'll compensate for them."
From Merlin's point of view, he wasn't lacking in contribution points. Every year, the Dark Magic Region would award ten thousand contribution points, and he had just this amount in his Dark Magic ring. There were many Fourth-level Spell Casters who were able to build their own individual tower, but they were not even as prosperous as Merlin.
Thereafter, Merlin followed the gray-robed Wizard to the third floor of the Resource Tower. The place was filled with casting tools, among which the number of robes was the highest – all the robes that one could ever need were here.
The gray-robed Wizard explained to Merlin, "There are many types of robes in the Resource Tower. One of the common ones is the robe for official members, which is usually just able to defend against First-level spells. There are also robes which can withstand Second and Third-level spells. However, these robes may only be obtained by an official member. As for temporary members, they may exchange for robes with powerful defensive capabilities, but those robes won't bear the Dark Magic Region's unique runic imprint, so they won't be recognized as an official member."
Merlin nodded his head. In truth, Wizard Holmes from before had exchanged for a robe from the Resource Tower, and its defensive powers were not that much different from those worn by official members of the Dark Magic Region. However, it lacked the unique runic imprint of the Dark Magic Region, so even when he had worn the robe outside, he would not be identified as an official member.
"Is there no robe that could withstand Fourth-level spells?"
Merlin had only heard the gray-robed Wizard mention robes that could defend against Third-level spells, so he asked this doubtfully.
The gray-robed Wizard explained with a smile, "Of course there is. There are even robes which may defend against Fifth and Sixth-level spells, but these Runic Robes require a mastery of runology to activate the powerful Runic Magic Circles on the robes. Among the robes that would activate the Runic Magic Circle without the necessary expertise in runology, the strongest one could merely defend against Third-level spells.
"Furthermore, this is only because the Dark Magic Region specializes in runology. If it was some other spell casters' organization whose expertise in runology isn't as impressive as ours, it would be good enough for them to manufacture robes which may withstand Second-level spells without any prerequisites – to say nothing of robes which could easily block Third-level spells without any qualifications."
Merlin nodded his head. The Dark Magic Region's expertise was in runology, so they were easily able to manufacture robes which required no prerequisites, which could be worn by any Spell Caster and defend against Third-level spells. In other places, such a robe would be extremely precious.
At least, Merlin had not even seen a robe, capable of withstanding Third-level spells, that could be used by any Spell Caster when he was in Sterling House of Floating City.
Only in the Dark Magic Region would he be able to find such a powerful robe.
"Alright, I'll take the robe that can defend against Third-level spells."
Merlin was not an expert in runology, so naturally, he would not select the more powerful robes. Moreover, this robe that would block attacks from Third-level spells was rather handy as well. Whenever he was in danger, he would no longer need to constantly use the Enhancing casting tool to cast the strengthened version of Guardian Monument, which would greatly exhaust his Magic Power.
"Wizard Merlin, this robe costs one thousand and one hundred contribution points. After deducting the one hundred contribution points that the free robe would be converted into, you would still need to pay a thousand contribution points."
The gray-robed Wizard beamed in joy as he spoke. A thousand contribution points – he had been in the Resource Tower for so long but had never seen such an amount. However, as he thought of the tremendous number of contribution points in Merlin's Dark Magic ring, he was overcome by a powerless feeling.
The gray-robed Wizard was also an official member of the Dark Magic Region and earned contribution points from accepting missions in the Mission Hall. Looking at the fortune of contribution points in Merlin's Dark Magic ring, he was naturally very astonished. However, he recalled that Merlin was a Six-Elemental Spell Caster, someone who was even more gifted than Kleis, so it was only natural that the Dark Magic Region would value him so.
"A thousand contribution points? It's expensive indeed!"
Merlin was slightly taken aback. He inquired carefully to find out that the robe which could defend against First-level spells only cost a hundred contribution points whereas the price of the robe capable of withstanding Second-level spells was much higher – five hundred contribution points.
As for the robe that would defend against Third-level spells, one would need a costly sum of one thousand and one hundred contribution points. Only Spell Casters who were above Fourth-level could possess such an amount. However, a robe like this seemed to be of little value to Spell Casters of that level, thus, in the Resource Tower, a few years could go by without this expensive robe being exchanged for.
"I'll exchange for this robe then!"
Even though this robe was costly, it would serve such a great purpose for Merlin. Merlin did not have any hesitation and quickly made up his mind to get this robe.
"Wizard Merlin, what else do you need? Spells? Potions?"
The gray-robed Wizard inquired warmly.
Merlin shook his head lightly. "I've no need for those, just this robe for now."
He had just become a First-level Spell Caster not long ago, so there was no rush to construct Second-level spells. As for potions, he would select them at his leisure when he had time in the future. Although he had many contribution points, he would not squander them recklessly.
Merlin put on the robe he had just obtained and sensed that, in the event of an attack, the dense lines of runes on the robe would immediately emerge and absorb the attack.
With that, Merlin left the Resource Tower right away and returned once more to Wizard Leo's tower.
"I wonder where Wizard Leo will bring me to tomorrow?"
Merlin returned to his room and was in deep thought on where would Wizard Leo be taking him the next day.


Anyone who could construct a stable Spell Model could become a Wizard — that was the Wizards' ultimate secret! 'In the context of our world, the above quote is decidedly untrue. I, Professor Daniel Timms Grumman, have devoted much of my life to studying magic - otherwise known as the Kaiserforce, the Mystic Arts or Ki. Magic has gone by many names throughout history, and with each of those names comes a different backstory.
The widely agreed upon term for magic is 'Kaiserforce'. Of course, other countries such as Vanaheim still refer to magic as 'Ki', but the scientific community has settled on Kaiserforce as an umbrella term for magic. As such, in this book, I will be referring to magic as the Kaiserforce.
For some background - in the 1400s, a being of unknown origin emerged from a hole in the ground in Alpheim, then known as London. What happened in the years that followed is unknown, but history dictates that a man, only to be known as Artorias, slew the being. He took its power for his own, thus becoming the first Kaiser. Books refer to him as the Kaiser of Chaos, or the Kaiser die Verwirrung.
At some point in time, the Kaiser of Chaos split his own power in two, bestowing the second half upon somebody known only as the Kaiserin of Order. Unlike Artorias, the Kaiserin of Order remains unnamed. Historical records show that Artorias was to be wed to this Kaiserin of Order, but on the day of his wedding, an uprising occurred.
His magic was further fragmented - spread among the peoples. This gave way to what we know as modern-day magic. Those who received a larger share of this power were honorarily known as Kaisers or Kaiserin of their specific domain.
This will establish all you need to know for this segment of the book. For more information, you may peruse 'On the History of Magic', written by my associate, Hollandair Cull. Alternate sources can also be found in 'Magical Artefacts and Their Origins', written by Nigel Braithwaite.
In this book, I will be covering the most widely-used form of magic in modern times: Utility magic. These spells are characterised by their quick casting times and short names, and how derivative they are of the Five Tenets of Spellcasting.
Utility magic revolves around the Five Tenets. These 'tenets' are present throughout every single branch of magic, from Fire to Air to even Illusion. They are, in no particular order, 'Fortification', 'Projectile', 'Enhancement', 'Healing' and 'Modification'. Projectile, Enhancement and Fortification spells see the most use out of all five tenets, with each school of magic possessing an elemental variant of those three spells. To properly cast any of these spells, one must maintain a certain state of mind. The in-between of 'normality' and 'calmness'. Violent emotion cannot be experienced during the casting of a Utility spell.
Examples of a basic Projectile spell include: 'Fireball', 'Discharge' and 'Hailstone'. These can be noted by their low power cost and how easy it is to cast them - in fact, these are the first spells children often learn. Oftentimes, they are very easily layered with other spells, making them the basis of most spell fusions. Their incantations typically range from one to two words. It must be noted that Pasitheans do not possess a Projectile spell; their 'Mindblast' only disorients and does not cause physical harm.
The elemental variants of the Fortification spell are very rarely used, simply because of how effective the basic Fortification spell is. Fortify is a spell based not off raw magical power or potential, but rather sheer will and determination. The strength of a Fortification spell is determined by the intent placed into its casting. A half-hearted Fortification spell will easily shatter if poked, but a well-cast one will resist even heavy weapons fire.
Of late, Enhancement and Modification spells have come to be considered as one singular tenet, going by the name of 'Augmentation'. These new spells can range from augmenting the effects of another spell, as seen in Layered Projectile spells, to directly enhancing the user themselves.
Healing spells are the least common, and have an extremely niche use. Most Healing spells are regarded as too weak to be effective, and are shunned in favour of modern medicine. They are, in the eyes of the most pre-eminent scientific communities, holdovers from days where medical science was not common. While Healing spells have their uses, they are generally regarded as obsolete. Most modern magic schools do not instruct their students in the usage of healing spells.
However, it must be noted that powerful Healing spells are still in existence. Vanaheim sages are noted to be so proficient with their Kaiserforce, or Ki, that they can effectively replenish another person's supply of magic with their own. How this is accomplished remains unknown, and requires further research.
It is also important to note that Utility spells do not necessarily have to conform to the Five Tenets; while they are heavily derivative, certain spells do not obey these tenets. It is thus important to keep this in mind when attempting to develop a new spell.'

'Esoteric spells are the ancient counterpart of Utility spells. They are characterised by their long incantations, which usually take the form of ancient invocations. It is for this reason that they have gone mostly unused in modern times - they are simply too inefficient. While a single Esoteric spell can accomplish much, multiple Utility spells cast in the time it takes to prepare a single Esoteric spell can do the same thing. 
As mentioned previously in my statement on Utility spells, the powerful Healing spells used by the sages of Vanaheim's mountains appear to be more Esoteric than anything. They are accompanied by intense chanting in a dead language, a trait that most Esoteric spells share. These languages can range from Latin to Sanskrit to Akkadian. Studying the words and meanings behind the incantations is considered to be too much of a bother, and the cons far outweigh the pros. 
To conclude, magic is heavily based on intent - and how can one intend something when they do not understand the meaning of the words they speak?'

'The Dark Arts cannot be truly considered magic in that it is not derived from the Kaiserforce. It is the raw manifestation of violent emotion, brought about by the innate darkness that resides within humanity. It is the polar opposite of Utility magic - the former requires a tranquil state of mind, while users of the Dark Arts are normally depressed, grieving, or in an intense state of rage.
Despite its negative connotations, the Dark Arts are not inherently 'bad'. While the Blood magic subdivision of the Dark Arts is notorious for its sacrificial spells, its counterparts to the Five Tenets of Spellcasting remain just as viable as most Utility spells. Most people nowadays lack the intensity required to cast spells stemming from the Dark Arts.
Using the Dark Arts extracts a heavy toll on the caster - it cripples their ability to perform Utility and Esoteric magics, while generating an effect that can only be described as a complete loss of control. There will come a time when a Dark Arts caster loses all sense of self, becoming nothing more than a volatile ball of violent emotion. 
Throughout the centuries, very few instances of Dark Arts users have been observed. The path of the Dark Arts is one that is very hard to turn away from - after all, the descent into Hell is easy. Once the caster establishes the intense emotions needed to perform a Dark Arts spell, those emotions will persist. 
One thing of note is how prevalent the Dark Arts were in the times before the Kaiser of Chaos. Ancient ruins have hieroglyphs depicting magic similar to the Dark Arts. It is most commonly associated with serpent iconography. The old Egyptian god "Apep", the Norse "Midgard Serpent" and the King of Nagas, "Anante Shesha" all exhibit similarities and traits of the Dark Arts.

And for a long time, that was all people treated the Kaisers as - bedtime stories. After all, who could fathom the amount of power held by figures as legendary as them? 

October 24th, 2095, changed all of that. 

The Kaiserin of Motion awakened far out in the frosty wastelands of Jotunheim, crushing the facility that housed in. It all happened in seconds - after her resurgence, she immediately vanished. In her place was Ilise Rossweisse: A girl no older than fifteen, wielding the power of a god. 

Thrust into a whole new world, Ilise must learn to control the might of the Kaiserforce within her - before it controls her. She has no time to ponder over the abstract, to delve within her internal worries; instead, she must cling to the material elements of her life. Her friends, her family, and the world around her. 

She knows that her other self lurks deep within her, yearning to be released. Ilise is the first and last line of defence against the Kaiserin of Motion. Should her will and determination ever falter, Ragnarok will begin. The first of many Kaisers will awaken her comrades, and in time, Earth will be naught but ruins. 

With her awakening, other gears have been set into motion. Ancient forces will emerge from the shadows, in an attempt to bring an end to a war that has been waged since time immemorial. And they will do whatever it takes to end their eternal war - no matter the price, nor the cost. 

It is only through pushing forward that they can put these memories to rest and finally, at long last, begin to dream again.

Spells are a controlled manifestation of magic that supernaturally affects the world. Although this is the most basic ability of a wizard, there are multiple categories, types, and branches of this. 
Please note that although a spell has "spell" in the name it does not mean that it does not have a classification and can be just a simplified name. For example, the Stunning Spell. Although the name is The Stunning Spell, its technical name is the Stupefying Charm and is classified as a charm. 
There are two categories of spells- Non-Dark and Dark spells. The difference between the two stems from their effects, and how they're cast. While all spells rely on concentration to be cast, Dark spells require negative emotions to give them power. This and their dark effects is why they are referred to as dark.
There are two types of Non-dark spells- Transfiguration, and Charm. Counter-spell and Healing spell both being types of spells is a misconception. They are what are referred to as classifications.
Classifications further explain what the spell does. They have overlap with every type of spell and aren't considered different enough to be considered spell types. Although just because they aren't considered different types, that doesn't mean they aren't as equally important. Counter-spells are extremely important in Auror work as well as many other professions and have multiple different types. Healing spells are mainly taught at post-graduate Healer schools such as Horncreast.
Transfiguration in its most basic definition is the alteration of the object's form or appearance. Transfiguration has its limitations, however. It is easier to transfigure an object to another when they share similar properties. Mass and size also play a role in the ease of the spell. You cannot revive the dead using transfiguration. Although there are more limitations this is just a brief overview and you can find a more detailed explanation in A Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration. One of the reasons why it's an entire class is because it has four branches- Transformation, Transformation, Vanishment, and Conjuration. (These branches are listed in ascending order of difficulty) See a more detailed explanation of these branches as well as sub-branches on chapter 13, page 57. 
There is some debate however on this. Some say that due to the overlap with some charms that they should be considered Classifications but this has not reached a general consensus and is still considered branches of Transfiguration.
Charms, or Enchantments, alter an object's inherent qualities. How Charms differ from Transfiguration is that Charms alter what the object does as opposed to what the object is. Charms also, typically, last longer than Transfiguration. The time in which a charm lasts depends on the charm; some last until death, some last until the caster stops supplying it with magical energy (Later renamed to Mana by Dumbledore). 
Although the Jinx, Hex, and Curse are all considered different types of Dark spells, in reality, it is mostly a difference in power and all can be considered Dark Charms.
Jinxes are minor dark magic. Their effects are considered irritating but amusing, almost playful, and of minor inconvenience to the target. Jinxes can only be maintained as long as the caster keeps eye contact. The Counter-spells for blocking or removing Jinxes are counter-jinx, counter-curse. They can also be prevented with Anti-Jinx. 
A Hex consistently negatively affects the object. Major inconvenience to the target. They can be countered using the Counter-spell types Hex-Breaker or Hex Zapper. 
The final Dark Charm and the worst kind of dark magic are Curse. Curses, unlike most spells, are inherent to nature. For example, the act of drinking unicorn blood gives a Curse. The three worst Curses are Avada Kedavra, Imperius, and Cruciatus. These three are called the Unforgivable Curses and will earn the caster a life sentence to Azkaban.

The most powerful Shadow Spells were related to a Domain that was established beforehand by spreading out the Caster's Dark Material.
The spells of the Dark Element had a great weakness. Whenever the Light Element was used and the light it produced was too bright for shadows to stay around, the Shadow Element would no longer work, making it difficult for Shadow Mages to use spells like the Fleeing Shadow and Giant Shadow Spike.
Mo Fan was in the middle of the exploding spells, yet he was able to cast Ink Shadow freely thanks to the Dark Moon Crystal he had obtained from Jimei University!
The magical Dark Moon Crystal had thoroughly modified the traits of Mo Fan's Dark Material, building a powerful Dark Vein into Mo Fan's body.
The Dark Vein was similar to Mo Fan's blood veins, and was located inside Mo Fan's body. The reason he could use Ink Shadow without being affected by the Light Element was because the Dark Energy was constantly flowing through his body. The lack of Dark Energy on the outside would not affect Mo Fan's magic now!
His Ink Shadow left only a faint presence in the area where the spells had bombarded. The real Mo Fan had woven through the Blue Star Knights and reached a safer spot.
"He's over there!"
"Damn it, was it Blink?"
"No way, I have been staring at him all the time. I was going to interrupt his Space Spell as soon as I saw its flicker. There was no way he could escape with Blink when our spells landed on him!" a Blue Star Knight with the Psychic Element exclaimed.
It was difficult to use Blink in an area being blasted with Elemental Spells. There had no clue as to how Mo Fan relocated himself.
"Look out, under your feet!" An alert Light Mage had noticed something. 
Many immediately lowered their gaze and noticed the ground they were standing on had been replaced with a huge black swamp. Their shoes had already sunk a few millimeters into it.
When did the black swamp appear?
"Get rid of it!" Everyone knew the Light Element was effective against Dark Magic!
The benefits of having an advantage in numbers was displayed, as many of the Blue Star Knights were Light Mages. They immediately drove the dark swamp below their feet away when they realized something was not right.
The Light Spells were very effective. They managed to drive away the Dark Magic, even though Mo Fan's Shadow Element had reached the Super Level.
Mo Fan was not too bothered by it. It was only one of his attempts. It had managed to keep a few Blue Star Knights busy.
"Mo Fan, look out!" Kris' voice suddenly appeared amid the blasts.
Mo Fan turned around and saw four Blue Star Knights sneaking up from behind him. They were rapidly firing Lightning Spells at him, intending to paralyze him!
Mo Fan was able to absorb Lightning Magic, but that did not necessarily mean he would be able to endure every Lightning Spell. Those Lightning Spells were obviously imbued with the power of Soul-grade Seeds. He would obviously lose some strength if the lightning hit him! 
 Mo Fan raised his hands without turning around. "Rock Stele!"
His hands were emitting a golden-brown light. A huge stele suddenly emerged from the ground around a meter away, standing firmly behind Mo Fan.
The Lightning Spells struck the golden-brown stele, preventing them from reaching Mo Fan. The Lightning Magic was unable to penetrate it.
"Damn it, he has the Earth Element too!?" The Blue Star Knights with the Lightning Element were frustrated.
The Earth Element was perfect at restricting the Lightning Element's conductivity. Almost any Lightning Mage would roll their eyes as soon as they saw the thick barrier of rock!
"It's fine, we've distracted him."
"Look above him."
A dozen terrifying ice caskets were falling down on Mo Fan just as he nullified the sneak attack from behind!
Even if the Icebound Coffins did not inflict serious injuries on Mo Fan, their chill was still beyond an ordinary person's tolerance.
Mo Fan reacted swiftly, and the soil under his feet rippled as he increased his speed with Earth Wave. The Icebound Coffins were not all falling at the same rate. Mo Fan was able to avoid their direct impacts with his nimble footwork!
As he expected, the Icebound Coffins were not dangerous because of their force of impact, but from the insane freezing energy that was unleashed when they smashed into the ground.
The cold surged wildly instead of spreading slowly like a normal Ice Spread.
Mo Fan could not afford to preserve his strength any further! "Blazing Ignition!"
Mo Fan was engulfed in flames as the Calamity Fire, Ardent Sunset, and Meteor Scarlet were unleashed simultaneously, forming a Domain in the shape of a ring. It was like an impenetrable wall, stopping the Ice Magic from pushing any closer! 
If Little Flame Belle was around, the Ice Element would not necessarily suppress his Fire Element. The truth was, when the Fire Magic was stronger, the Ice Element was the one that would be suppressed instead.
The Icebound Coffins were nullified too! The Blue Star Knights began to feel ashamed. Their spells were stronger as they were Casting them in a group, yet they still could not take Mo Fan out after a few volleys?
"Keep attacking, use Intermediate Spells if you need to, don't stop!"
The Blue Star Knights were overwhelmed by anger. They did not give Mo Fan any chance to catch his breath.
They needed some time to recover from the Casting of their Advanced Spells, but they could fire their Intermediate Spells continuously. It was almost impossible to defeat a group of Mages alone. Even a demon creature would have to withdraw from the fight, let alone a human!
Intermediate Spells were easy to cast since they were all Advanced Mages. The damage of Intermediate Spells being fired at a high rate could be just as significant. It was unlikely that Mo Fan would be able to defend himself by hiding behind an Earth Spell. Mo Fan was not Zhang Xiaohou, after all. He was unable to weave through a rain of bullets like a ghost.
Mo Fan did not dodge the attacks. He relocated himself to a spot where he was facing most of the Blue Star Knights to ensure no one was going to sneak up on him from behind.
Kris was quite intelligent. He noticed Mo Fan was wary of enemies showing up behind him. He immediately advanced closer to Mo Fan and kept a close eye on the Blue Star Knights with the Shadow Element.
The Intermediate Spells were too easy to cast. Every Blue Star Knight was firing them like an automatic weapon!
Mo Fan did not Blink away when he saw the destructive spells approaching him.
Blinking away would not make any difference. His enemies were casting Intermediate Spells continuously. They would simply keep firing Intermediate Spells at him after he relocated to a safe spot.
Mo Fan stood there, observing the paths the spells were flying along.
"Chaos Vortex!"
Mo Fan suddenly executed a spell that took every Blue Star Knight by surprise!


He woke up in a familiar world that had vastly changed.

His familiar school had become a mystical school that teaches magic, encouraging everyone to become a mighty magician.

Outside the city, many wandering magical beasts and monsters attacked and preyed on humans.

His world of advanced science changed into one that praised magic. Despite this, his ambition in life, and his social status remained the same; one of the dregs of the society with a struggling father and a disabled step sister that couldn’t walk.

However, Mo Fan found that when most people could only practice a single major element of magic, he was a Versatile Mage!

The time of the Void Zone come, many people from the "Anderwhal City" started leaving towards Void Loras Zone which is in the "Dark Magic Mountain" close to Anderwhal City itself.
Almost all magical organizations and magic-schools prepared for the adventure, the people from the "Cursed" already started walking towards Dark Magic Mountain and people from the Crow send their mages to Void Zone to find valuable items or secrets of new magical spells.
Other organizations and schools prepared a team of strong mages to enter the Void Zone, the companies and organization who did not have enough power of manpower to enter the zones hired people from other organization to do their bidding or prepared a contract between them that worked for the both of the parties.
Many of the students were entered the road with the other mages too Because something like this could not be missed. Many of magic-students are not going to enter the Void Loras Zone at all because of the dangers inside of a Void Zone, they were just going to wait outside for their people.
People who will be entering the Void Loraz Zone will stay in the "Zone" for about one to two weeks so that people who going to wait outside have to wait for their people.

Skraal was inside a black-carriage which belongs to the "Dark Energy School", the Dark Energy School had five people, Diana, Fran, Skraal, and Lalila
Each of them had their goals.
The envoy of the Dark Energy School seven carriages, three for individual use which belongs to Skraal, Verton, Diana and Lalila will be staying on one carriage and another one for the Fran.
Other five carriages people and mages from the Dark Energy School who will wait outside of the zone for the people from the Dark Magical School.
The Dark Magic Mountain was close to Anderwhal City about three to five hours needed to reach it with ordinary carriage and with horses a person could reach it about in two hours at the top.
As Skraal was sat on the carriage he started thinking about his plans. He will look for the items and secrets of origins which could improve his origins even further for this kind of goal Void Zone is best for a mage like Skraal who works with "Dark" type of "Origins"
His secondary object is looking for the "Necrom Books" which have a vast knowledge of necromancy and death matters but this goal was secondary as always because the most important thing is improving his Origin to upgrade his power to the natural state.
After his powers reach "Natural State" he could very well do many things without the use of "Spells" at all.
Inside of a carriage which different than other carriages who belongs to Dark Energy School, Verton sat on his carriage was branded with "Leader" carriage as he was the most important and strongest person in the Dark Energy School in the name,
Verton was an ambitious man but he did not show it around of himself maintaining a normal mage life living inside of the city and founded a dark magic school.
But his real objective was to upgrade his power even more and finally start building a city like Anderwhal or have control of the Anderwhal and change it is named to a name that symbolizes himself and his ancestor family.
The reason why he looked and expected the opening of the zone was because, He knew that inside of a Void Loras Zone he could find the Black Staff Of Monster Lord, at least something resembles it.

Verton wanted to find a magical staff with the power of monsters and creatures, Verton was a dark-mage in the core but his research focused on magical creatures and bloodlines of legendary creatures.

Diana and Lalila were on the same carriage, they both had their objectives in their mind. Diana was looking for another experience of Zone wants to find a new spell-making item or scrolls for herself to upgrade her abilities of spell-making.
Diana was a dark-mage like Verton but she specialized in spell-making or spell-creating, compared to the other mages in the school or the city she was using her spells that she created by using her mind and taking examples from the other spells.
Compared to the new spells the spell-scrolls which are embedded into the scrolls for one-time use worked better for herself. Because the spells in the void-zone can be learned and taken as the book but a person could not see how to create a spell-based on a spell-book.
But in the scrolls necessary things have to be set on, like inscriptions of a spell and secrets of a spell, scrolls can be activated without needing to use the magical energy even an ordinary person use it.
This is why for creating spells Diana needed spell-scrolls.
The student of Lalila which was a Dark-Poison mage which is a mage who uses the Dark Magic and Poison to create a potent force of magic wanted to find new kinds of poisons to merge with her spells.
More potent the poison and more potent abilities it has more power she will have in the future.
It could be said that she was looking for poisonous items, spells, and plants in general.

Magic lies in the elements of the world; dark, light, wind, fire, earth and water. Anyone is capable of using magic, some are just better at it than others. Everyone has an element that they have an affinity with and will be able to use stronger spells with.
Yisa and it's demons are the only ones who use dark magic. There have been a few humans who have tried to use dark energies, unfortunately the country with which they lived in quickly discovered them and executed them. Since the persecution of demons over a thousand years ago it has become ingrained in everyone on the surface that dark magic is bad.
Dark magic is simply another form of magic and is complimentary to light magic, as well as it's opposite. All of the elements have a similar relationship, but light and dark are held in a different sphere from the other four elements. This means that even a basic spell with the light or dark element will be able to defeat a spell from someone who has mastered one of the other four elements.
Edicia and Firlamos has a strong push for the use of light magic. Those in Fegosk leans more towards fire and wind, they practice a form of dark magic that allows them to use illusions. The elves prefer earth and wind. Dwarves primarily practice fire magic that they use in their forges. Beastkin's try to have a balance of all five, even they stay away from dark magic.
The foundation of magic begins with meditation. Most start at a young age, officially being allowed to practice magic at thirteen when they are considered adults. Before then they are only allowed to meditate with no more than two elements and use a basic light spell. This way they won't overload their young bodies.
Even though magic is so prevalent, only about one in fifty actually seek to become a mage. Mages are sought after and can easily earn a good living by selling their services. Those that use light magic can learn healing spells, those with an affinity for light magic can come close enough to bringing a recently dead person back to life.
The only exception to the one to fifty rule is Fegosk and Galarede. The people of Fegosk are, at minimum, mages with basic magic use. Because of the environment in which they live in most of the populace has a higher than basic magic ability. Beastkins all have at least one element that they have basic knowledge in. Anyone that is involved in the Kings Challenge that happens every ten years has at least one element that they have master knowledge in.
There are basic spells with every element. Most mages create their own spells as they move beyond a basic understanding of the element they are working with.
Basic knowledge has a minimum of three spells that they know, usually one in defence, one in offence, and one for every day use.
Advanced knowledge has a minimum of ten spells that they know.
Master knowledge may only have fifteen spells that they know, but at least one of those spells is their own creation.
Having an affinity with an element boosts the strength that the mage has for each spell.
