This journey involves my answering of 365 creative writing prompts in a desperate bid to overcome my laziness.

THE SITUATION RIGHT NOW: I've gotten over the majority of my laziness. I'm unlikely to update this much. It's pretty much complete. The novel I'm working on is Dark Seas Leading Demise

In short, by sending out all this kind of stuff that is not useful at all, Zhou Xuan can not only save a lot of time, but also be appreciated by the uncles and granddaughters in the village.

Kill two birds with one stone

"I'm definitely a cleaning genius"

Zhou Xuan quickly acted according to the plan, clearing out all the worthless things in the Zongmen.

I and my best friend Margie Rose Domingo are walking to the school ground trying to head our way home. I swear I feel so tired and stressed after that long remedial exam given by our professor since he said that our records are hanging low so all his class stayed late just to comply. The whole school surroundings are now starting to darken but few students are also heading home. 
 
"Wow! I can't believe sir did it again. It's already late see, it's already 6:10 and I'm so tired." I said as I fixe my shoulder bag into my right shoulder, I simply look at my friend beside me seeing her also worn out face.
 
"Yap talks about much too much reminders for next semester. Did you take that form they had given us?" my best friend and partner in many crazy things Margie Rose Domingo asks as I just nod and looks at the trail going to the main road.
 
"Well, what can I say? They must be worried we might transfer to another schools. I am starting to get pressured by this course's subjects. The teachers are giving us too expensive projects and such. It's too stressing for me." I said with a deep sigh of weariness while I rub my aching neck.
 
"Forget that, I'm starving. Can we stop for food?" said Rose while she rubs her stomach that made me and her to laugh. 
 
"Say, whoever had the lowest grade in Creative writing shall treat for our meal." Rose said while winking at me, our teacher in that subject is a terror so I bet our grades are hanging.
 
"Game! That's our deal. Make sure you have extra money there alright." I said jokingly while smirking as we both take our class cards in our bags.
 
"Okay, as we agreed the one with a lowest grade shall pay. On the count of three we shall show our class card." Rose said and I nod thinking that I can pay since I have some extra money with me if ever I lose.
 
We both count into three then show our class cards making Rose grunt upon seeing my grade. I smile in triumph seeing that I have an 87 on my creative writing while 86 on Rose' making me do the victory dance we both usually do.
 
"Alright! A deal is a deal no back outs." I said as Rose sigh then smiles nodding.
 
"No problem." Rose said making me look at her in surprise.
 
"A-Are you sure. Don't tell me you got paid with your part time job in that CD store?" I said looking at my hard working friend who has a part time job on the CD store where I usually hang out just to accompany her.
 
"Hmnn yap. Don't worry about it." Rose said making me sigh knowing that my friend is working none stop because of her mother's medication. 
 
We are walking on the side walk when my cellphone starts to ring. I immediately open my bag and take my cellphone out just to look at it in surprise upon seeing my father's caller Id that made me furrow my eyebrows. I reluctantly slides the answer button somehow I don't know why but I feel so nervous, I slowly place my cellphone on my right ear.
 
"Hello pa." I said waiting for him to speak.
 
When I hear what he say I place my cellphone back into my pocket then looks at my friend looking so apologetic.  Rose look at me wondering while I shake my head looking so dismayed.
 
"What's wrong?" Rose said as she looks at me.
 
"Sorry Rose I have to head back home as soon as possible. They said there is something important they need to tell me. Let's eat out next time. I feel bad since this is our last day together." I said as I look at Rose really dismayed.
 
"Too bad, it's already semester break and the school will be on emergency break making it 3 months of break. We won't see each other again for that long. Are you going back to your province straightaway?" Rose said as we continue walking towards the jeep's station.
 
"I don't know; it's just a little bit weird why my parents are here this late without telling me earlier that they will be here. Something must have come up. I'll text you if ever we can get a chance to eat out.�� I sadly said before I wave my friend goodbye. 
 
"Okay, call or text me okay." Rose waves back towards me on the window of the jeep after she sits on the jeep.
 
As I quietly sit on the jeep I start think as to why my parents are here this late and are waiting for me at my uncle Oliver's house. I wonder why they ask me to head home as soon as possible, that I should immediately head to my uncle Oliver's house and not to the boarding house I am staying which is just beside my uncle's house. The tone of my father's voice made me really nervous. He seems to be so sad while I speak to him a while ago. When I arrive at the gate of Uncle Oliver's house I see an expensive car parked into uncle's frond yard, I sigh then I enter the gate quietly.
 
"Odd, do they have a guest today? This is my first time seeing a car like this visiting uncle. Not to mention it is already late. For a guest to be here on a time like this they must be someone close but I never seen this car before." I said in wonder as I look closely to that expensive looking black car.
 
I slowly climb the stairs towards my uncle's porch and then I stop in front of the door. I sigh while I stand near the door of my uncle's house, I am still deciding if I will knock or just press that darn door bell. I don't know why but I feels so nervous, like something ominous is about to happen. Somewhat, I feel so uneasy. I take a deep breath and slowly knock. The door opens revealing my elementary crush, Michael Adamson. He has this sun tanned skin, black clean cut hair, 6'4 height, muscular built, gray eyes and reddish lips. He is what I call a sun tan god.
 
"Hi. Uhmnn Anna this uhmnn warn you.... I-I just want to warn you. B-be ready for anything that will about to happen. Come in." Michael said as he steps aside to let me in. 
 
I feel so nervous most especially when he said that. The way he said it sound like trouble is about to come.
 
"O-kay.... what is going on?" I ask still confused to what he just said, this is the first time Michael talk to me first but the sound of his hoarse voice made me very nervous.
 
"J-Just be ready, because everything you know is about to change." He said with an awkward smile.
 
I am confused upon hearing what he said. This made me even nervous and uneasy, my relationship with Michael ever since elementary is so cold and yah! Nothing at all, we never talked to each other normally. Even from the time he came to stay with my uncle for college and that we see each other every day since we are walking on the same places every time, yet we never have shared a very interesting conversation at all. We seem to feel awkward with each other's presence thus the cold ice we feel every time one is near.
 
"Ah, Michael. W-what do you mean by that? A-are my parents in here?" I ask trying to hide my blushing face and that nervousness I am feeling. 
 
He smiles and signs me towards the kitchen so I now got my answer to where my parents are. 
 
"Th-They have been waiting for you in there. Ahmnnn Anna, good luck." He said making my face burn but at the same time my heart beats fast. 
 
I don't know if it's because Michael talks to me casually for the first time or that he smiled handsomely OR for something else?
 
"R-Right, thanks." I just said acting cool about it.
 
Michael closes the door and he walks towards the sofa right at the living room and sits beside Casper and Ian. Casper, Ian, and Nina are watching a movie; those 3 are my Uncle Oliver's children and my really unsocial cousins but they are cool when you get to be open up with them. Michael on the other hand is related to my Uncle Oliver's family because Michael's father is distant relative of my Uncle Oliver's wife, Aunt Cedes. And when Michael's father died my aunt take him into their house to help him study and she pays for Michael's studies in exchange he must stay to Uncle Oliver's house and help in his shop. Aunt Cedes is abroad so we seldom see her during our stay here.
 
"Anna dear, is that you? Come on here at the kitchen we have been waiting for you." I hear my uncle's call from the kitchen and since their kitchen and living room table are separated with a wall divider, I can't see who are there or if my parents are there. 
 
I take a deep breath when I see my niece Clayra running towards me and then keep on pulling my bag so I had no choice but to let my cute 4 years old niece have it. 
 
"Careful Clayra." I said as I watch how she is struggling to carry my bag towards the sofa where the others are sitting.
 
I slowly walk towards the kitchen divider as Clayra sit on the sofa next to Michael and starts to ransack my bag. I instantly turn red at the thought that Michael is looking into the content of my bag. My so messy and full bag, not to mention all my class cards are there so he can see my not so well but doing fine grades. I see that Clayra found what she is looking for when she stops looking into my shoulder bag and left it scattered on the sofa beside Michael. 
 
"Too messy." I utter almost a whisper looking at my niece's mess.
 
I shake my head and sighs upon seeing all my papers, class cards and notebooks scattered there while Clayra sit happily as she opens the candy she found. Michael looks at me and then he smiles, he starts to pick all my stuff and carefully return it into the bag. When he looks at me I mouth him my thanks before I take one last deep breath before I continue heading towards the kitchen just to see my parents and my 3 siblings, my elder sister Arsey the mother of my niece, my brother Ezzar and my sister Daisy sitting on the wide dining table together with my uncle Oliver and 3 new faces. 
 
"Hel-lo." I softly said as I nervously look at them, I somehow feel uneasy about this.
 
There is this lovely lady who turns to look at me and starts to cry. She has this dark hairs and fair skin; she is wearing a blue dress while her hair is in messy bun. Beside the lady is a man who is patting the lady's back as his eyes gazes at me, weird. The man has this black hair and a tan skin; he is also wearing a formal suit, those types we usually see worn by business men. On the other side of the man is another man, a man in his 50's and is also looking at me..... so weird. In front of the man is a black bag or in business term, a brief case.
 
"Oh don't just stand there dear. Come and sit so we can start... explaining things." My mother Mary Marcelo said sadly who is sitting beside my father August Marcelo. 
 
I sigh before I walk towards an empty seat just in front of the 3 visitors. I slowly sit and notice that their eyes are all towards me. My heart starts to pound heavily. What trouble did I cause this time? Who are these 3 weird visitors who look at me as if they are looking into a food? But despite of my thundering heartbeat and nervousness I have to act cool about this.
 
"U-uhmmnn what is going on?" I manage to say as I look around the table to look at my family's faces.
 
Why do I feel so uneasy about all of these? I look at my family and I can feel this dark sad aura surrounding them making me scared and nervous. But when I look at the two new faces in front of me, I feel this uncertain warmth in my heart... so weird. To my observation they must be couple seeing how the handsome 30's looking man hugs the woman who is also so pretty and looking like in her 30's to. The way they are looking at me makes me feel so warm, happy, nervous, and scared also not to mention I feel like vomiting all at ones. Who are they and why is the atmosphere feel so tight? Why does my parents look so sad and distressed?
 

Every one of us must have watch or read any fairy tale books in our entire life. Fairy tale story like: Snow white, sleeping beauty and our famous Cinderella. It must be great to live in a rich life where everything you want is given or provided, a life with servants at our disposal, and a life with a handsome prince charming ready to save us. But.....THIS certain story is not like any fairy tale story we had read and watched. This story is about being brave, being you and being who you want to be.

Anna Marie Marcelo is like any normal college girl who dreamed of a fairy tale like life but ends up accepting the reality that she is a farmers’ daughter and that’s just it. This made her study hard and work harder for the dream she wants to achieve in the near future. Together with her friend Margie Rose Domingo, they both face the reality of their boring, normal yet contented life.

A sudden change happens to Anna that causes a stir into her normal life. She will find herself wearing gowns, expensive dresses, and high class jewelries and dine in the finest food chains. Meets handsome but arrogant princes charming. Almost like a fairy tale story….a Cinderella story, but THIS is not a fairy tale story THIS is HER story.

(I'm gonna talk a bit about my personal journey so if you guys are not interested, then just skip to the tips.) 
Like many normal teenagers, I had gone through an awkward phase. Sad thing is, I went through it in grade 9, so most of the people in my high school still remember my awkward phase. (I'm in grade 12 now.) But after looking at pictures from that dark time, I realised that my face didn't change at all. It was my style, my mannerisms, and my hair. I also found a deeper meaning in those changes. So here's what I found that made the difference between awkward phase me and glown up me:

1. A fail proof hairstyle is plain, natural hair. 😻 Also try all lengths of hair by cutting it to shoulder length first (or longer if you are scared) and then growing it out. See which stage you like best. (I don't think this would work with afro hair. I've never had friends who have afro hair.) I love a YouTube video for tips on this. Please comment to let me know if you guys are interested in it

2. Try to get contact lenses. 👀 I know some people suit glasses. I personally don't. But getting contacts really helps if you have oily skin and glasses just keep slipping down your nose. Or if you are like me, with 800 degrees myopia, then ditching heavy glasses feels so good. Getting contact lenses also allow me to go crazy without worrying about it flying off my face. 

3. Don't use makeup for the sake of using makeup. Use it according to your needs, your face, and your style. Also, keep in mind your overall outfit. Sometimes, a loud outfit with a loud makeup can take over your body and hide you. You want people to see you, not your makeup. Of course, there are exceptions such as creative makeup. 

4. Be mindful while shopping. 💸Just because something looks good, doesn't mean it will look good on you. Also avoid fast fashion to save up for more quality items. Always check for the quality of fabrics, the color scheme of your closet, and what you usually wear. If you don't wear skirts, don't buy a skirt. I also love a YouTube video for tips on this. Please comment to let me know you guys are interested. 

5. Work out.💦 You don't have to aim for losing weight or gaining curves. Working out enhances your metabolism, the lines on your arms and legs (makes you look extra sexy), and improves your complexion. You will radiate from the inside out. Working out doesn't have to be tiring or tedious too. You can try dancing, cycling, stretching (splits are cool!), etc. 

6. Commit to a hobby.🔥 Mine would be piano, which I started playing when I was three. During my awkward phase, I wasn't practicing at all and I was embarrassed to tell people I had been learning it since I was three and I actually have certificates for it. REALLY COMMIT TO A SKILL PLEASE! Also, don't underestimate the amount of money your special skill can bring you!! I received 500RMB once for winning an award in a writing competition, plus 100RMB for being a volunteer at the award ceremony. XD

7. Please listen to your mother when she says you look bad.💯 She's probably right. I can't express how many style mistakes I made because of not listening to her. 

8. Be more reserved. 😶Talk only when you have something meaningful to say. My awkward phase consists a lot of me blurting out dumb, hypocritical, ignorant, and sometimes offensive things. I think this is why I didn't have friends. Also, if you are not sure if your opinion on something is right (as in, in consideration of all perspectives and not on an ignorant basis), ask questions. It's always fun to get to know what others think. But if you don't have the ability to recognise your ignorance, then I can't help you. Only time and maturity can help you at this point. 🙄

9. Take care of your skin.💦 Depending on where you live, you might not need a skincare routine. Taking care of your skin does not necessarily means buying products and putting them on your face. Taking care of your skin can be applying body lotion, washing your face with a simple face wash as soon as you get home (gets rid of pollutants), clipping your bangs up for sports (avoids forehead pimples), not touching your face, etc. 

10. Do your eyebrows.💯 If you are born with perfect eyebrows, don't touch them. But I had a uni brow. For beginners, personally I feel like it's better to use a small brow shaver instead of a tweezer. It does not hurt as much and if you fail, your hair grows out faster. If you can afford, get your brows done for the first time at a salon, then follow the shape at home when it grows out.

"Momo... hurry up!!.... we're going to be late!!" Yelled Linda, as she rushed towards the newly constructed building within the school premises.
Little Momo and her, were on their way towards the chemistry laboratory.
Today, they were taking Chemistry 3.
Ever since the beginning of April, they had been taking 6 main courses:
•Biology 1 (Classes of living organisms)
•Math 4 (simple variable math, like find X)
•Chemistry 2
•Chemistry 3 (introduction to lab science)
•Physics 1
•Phyno 4
Apart from these ones, they also had other fun and creative courses that occurred once a week... like:
•Arts & Craft 1
•Ethics & Morality 1 
•Health & Hygiene 1
•Literature 1
•Music 1
• And Physical Education 
Another surprising thing for the students was that this year, the school had created a Student Council body based on the votes from the students.
Also, each class had a class monitor and deputy class monitor that's entrusted in assisting the teachers in class, aiding the weak students, roll call... and so on.
No matter what amongst the 2 leaders, one had to be female and the other male.
Generally, once the winners for both the Male Group and female group emerged.... the students would then vote between the 2, and choose who should be the class monitor or deputy class monitor.
For the biology class, the students were taught the basics like: cells, microbes, plant systems, animal systems, invertebrates and vertebrates.
In short, they were taught about all the classes of living organisms.
Of course for Math 4, they focused on simple variable math... like 5x=10, find X.
In that class, they focused on understanding one to two variable equations..... which were usually linear equations.
For chemistry 2, the students would still focused on reactions, atoms and so on.... but now with the use of calculators, they had begun learning about calculating molecular weight and so on.
Of course just so that the students could breathe a little, music, literature, physical education and arts & craft were essentially a must.
In short, this semester was a busy one.
Today, Linda and little Momo were heading towards the Chemistry Lab in the new school building.
Once they got in, they immediately climbed the stairs until they arrived at the 3rd floor... where they were greeted with a large group of students outside the lab.
The area was bustling with busy students.
Friends greeted each other with hugs or playful punches, while others had their eyes glued on their books as they continued doing assignments that were due in the next class.
Some already had their lab coats and safety wears on, while others were busy wearing theirs on now.
In fact, everyone was doing their own thing as they waited for the class to begin.
Instantly, the duo opened their bags and quickly pulled out their neatly folded lab coats and safety items.
For this class, everyone was required to wear their lab coats, gloves, rubber boots, and goggles.
Linda looked at her watch and knew that it would soon be time for them to go in.
And right on queue, Mother Kim and teacher Gophen opened the lab doors from instead and ushered the students in.
"Morning Teacher Kim!"
"Morning teacher Gophen!"
"Morning teacher...."

Everyone greeted their teachers, as they walked in and immediately found their usual spot.
The Laboratory was massive, with several working slabs, cupboards with equipments stored in them, and a small storage room at its front.
Linda and Momo immediately spotted their other group members, and rushed over to join them.
Ever since the beginning of the semester, they had been put in groups of 5.
Apparently, these people would be their lab partners throughout the entire semester.
"Alright.... before we begin, you all know the drill.
In front of each group, are 5 question sheets.
You all have 7 minutes to answer them.
Remember, no cheating and no copying.... these small tests make up 20% of your final grade.
Now.... Begin!!"
Linda immediately flipped her question sheet and got to work.
For this Chemistry 3 course, they had 1 theory class on Tuesdays, and 1 lab session on Thursdays.
And at the beginning of each lab session, they would have mini quizzes that would test them on what they had learnt in their Tuesday classes.
Chemistry 3 was a course based on Laboratory work, so they had to know about the equipments in front of them, safety lab hazards and so on.
In fact... Ever since the students knew that these questions were 20%, they had taken them seriously
Linda filled her name and school number on the question sheet, before proceeding to answer the questions.
The questions were straight to the point, and easy to answer if one was paying attention during lectures.

If she were smarter, it wouldn't have taken a life threatening encounter to trigger the idea of using her self-created skill. She would have integrated it (as well as her footwork and own unique style of movements) days ago, since she had used it to penetrate Stefan's highly resistant armour.

If it worked against the divine armour (albeit weakened by several orders of magnitude), it should definitely have been effective against others as well...

Though her Unique Skill: Handshake wouldn't have been useful against Reeve; since she couldn't land a clean hit anyway. And she realised she couldn't have used it either... Humans would pop like watermelons from the intense tremors...

That's what she called her skill - Handshake. Forcefully vibrating her muscles and transmitting it through her hands to shake up the target. Hence, Handshake. It was a pretty good name... Or at least she thought so. Simple and clear. Little did she know that every historian and warrior would outright reject that ridiculous name, and call it the First Palm: Disruption instead.

The stalker backed away for the first time so far, allowing Sam some much needed respite. Despite not using mana, Handshake placed immense stress on her entire body; as the vibrations were generated from her footing up through her waist and to her hands.

It released a low growl. Then it crouched down low. Sam felt uneasy, her danger senses tingling.

Then it roared aggressively and pounced at her.

But why did it seem to not be moving any closer...?

To Sam's horror, the creature was facing her, but running backwards - towards Reeve.

"No!" Already half a second slow, she could only repeat her earlier move of extreme compression of her leg bones and muscles to intercept the creature.

She shot forth, quickly closing the distance and collided with the creature, sticking to its chest as they rolled on the ground, tangled up together.

To her horror, the stalkers maw widened in a smile, as if a tasty fly had fallen into its trap. Then it chomped down on her shoulder.

Pierced by the inch long razor teeth with her flesh and blood corroded by the acid spit, Sam screamed in pain and rained blows on the stalkers neck.

Again and again she smashed her fists, palms and chops into its head and neck, while the creature shook its head to widen and deepen the wound. She managed to breach its armour and mash up the inner flesh and muscles with her attacks - but she was running out of breath and dizzy from blood loss.

(Is this as far as I can go...?) She thought, even as her hands did not rest.

Then she realised that their tangled up bodies rolling around on the dirt ground were moving closer and closer to Reeve.

(Reeve... Well, even if I die, I'll make sure you're safe...)

She gasped as she saw him stirring and raise his head. Then raise his hand and prepare to throw his sword over.

"No!!!" She cried out in anguish, as the stalker decisively released her mangled shoulder from its jaws and pointed its claws at Reeve. The longest middle claw began to rotate, and with a disgusting slushing sound, the glossy claw fired at Reeve and embedded itself into the centre of his chest.

Reeve collapsed at a sickly angle, sword clattering down at his side and began to dissipate - a bad sign.

"!!!" Sam opened her mouth in silent anguish. Her body released eerie cracking sounds as she began to shrink - back down to her former 150cm size. Then in the blink of an eye, she vanished - then burst through the stalkers chest and out of its back. Her body seemed to blur as she induced intense vibrations throughout her whole body, causing her skin and blood vessels to rupture.

Now covered entirely in her own blood and the creatures acidic blood, the inhuman pain nearly knocked her out - it was only the rage and adrenaline that kept her from passing out. She landed behind the now kneeling monster and pivoted to release a powerful chop that cleaved through the base of its neck until her palm exited near its tailbone.

Where her chop split it in half, the muscles, blood vessels and armour at the edge of the wound began to hemmorhage and disintegrate, and the monster fell, this time for good.

Her body reverted to her normal tall form with sickening cracks and pops, and she watched it for a second or two, then, satisfied that it would not be able to regenerate, she collapsed with one thought in mind.

(Reeve... Live.)

Near the temple area, at the very edge of the commercial district stood a plain 3 story building. It was made of red-brown bricks and was solid and well built, despite being simple and unadorned.

The lower floor had an entrance wide enough for a small wagon to pass through, where a set of plain double hardwood doors stood. Right now, the door was open, and one could see 2 men standing just inside the doors, ready to help carry the injured, or to deny entry to troublemakers.

Further in, 3 people were seated behind a long wooden counter, above which a sign with the words "registration" hung.

On the 2nd floor, there were 2 long passageways with numerous rooms on either side. One of the rooms had the door open, where a short, balding old man stood beside a big bed. The bed looked very big, especially because the room was cramped despite having nothing else but one more chair inside.

On the bed lay a person wrapped from neck to toe in bandages, which from the pungent smell were seeped into low to lower mid-grade ointments and herbs. The person was beginning to stir for the first time since the disaster last Monday which left 1 student dead, 4 injured and 1 teacher unaccounted for.

The physicians and priests had done all they could, and sighed, regretting that they could not do anything more - not without top-grade healing materials. And even if they had the resources, they would need someone who knew how to utilise them for healing.

With all those conditions met, it was still only enough to salvage the person's life, with no hope of advancing any further in cultivation.

Sam had awoken earlier in the morning, startling the nurse who nearly dropped her medicinal pastes. Sam could only weakly croak for water, before her consciousness drifted away again. She did feel wetness on her lips and in her throat though, so the nurse remembered her water.

Now Principal Snow was here to wait for her to wake up - as he felt responsible for calling Mikael away during the critical moments of the spar. The remains of the enhanced nightmare stalker were cleaned up - though they could not find traces of how the level 8 bio-undead managed to materialise in the middle of the defence formations.

Mikael had insisted to investigate Nadal's background, and even volunteered to lead the inquiry himself. But Principal Snow could only stay silent - Nadal's backing wasn't something their little town and academy could take on. Even if the victims were great talents, and even if the mayor's son was among the fallen...

The balding man sighed, adjusting his brown overcoat over his voluminous white tunic. He twirled his monocle in his right hand between his index and middle fingers. He rubbed his temples, wondering what to do with the Baron's proposition... Without Reeve and Sam, there was only Joe's son, Bob. But he doubted the Baron would choose the boy.

Coughing, Sam Sat up slightly in her bed and opened her eyes a crack. She craned her stiff neck to look for water and grunted at the pain landing through her shoulder. She forgot - she was still wrapped up in the physician's offices.

"Here, have a drink." Principal Snow held the cup to her lips, then was surprised as she downed the entire cup in quick gulps. Then she continued coughing, calming down only after a good 10 seconds.

"Feeling better...? It's a miracle you survived. And a miracle you be recovered so well."

She looked at him without expression, then gasped when she remembered the most important question.

"Reeve... He..." Sam didn't know how to continue, as she choked up and the words couldn't leave her mouth - because she saw Principal Snow's face fall and grief mar his face.

He opened his mouth, then closed it again. Then he looked down at the floor, as if the words were too heavy to be spoken. He took a deep breath, looked up and said to her, "I'm sorry... He - he didn't make it..."

Two streams of tears flowed down Sam's cheeks as she lay her head back onto the pillow and closed her eyes.

Taken aback at the girl's grief, Principal Snow tried to speak when a nurse burst into the room.

"Principal, you'll want to come upstairs. Reeve woke up."

The Principal gave Sam an embarrassed smile; sheepish that his prank/ joke was seen through so quickly.

If Sam weren't wrapped up and crippled, Principal or not, she was angry enough to punch his teeth out. She settled for throwing her cup at his shiny head, smiling when she saw the water dripping down his face and a red bump rising.

Systems? Transmigrators? Gods?
No problem! All will crumble under my fists!

The Natta Blades were an excellent pair of weapons but they paled in comparison to Li Wei's Dark Runic Swords. He swiftly placed them in his inventory and continued to search Ranger Oleg's body.

To his disappointment, there were no more valuables aside from the ring at his finger and the keys to open the graveyard. Having been playing the role of the gravekeeper, Ranger Oleg did not wear any rare equipment. 

"Just too bad... But I hope your brother won't disappoint me."

Li Wei picked the ring and the keys and made his way to Mage Oleg.

Li Wei's eyes widened. What a deadly combo. The Aquamarine Trousers combined with the Magic Silk Robe formed the ideal set of equipment of a mage. "D*mn, I could have been in so much more trouble. Fortunately, he did not blatantly attack me when I was close to his brother."

"Such a pity I am not a mage... These items are so good," exclaimed Li Wei. He looked at the pieces of equipment in his inventory with envy. They were all tailored for mages, however, Li Wei still decided to change his pants for the [Aquamarine Trousers] and his boots for the [Boots of Gelor].

Both items outclassed his previous equipment. He continued to search for more loot but unfortunately, Mage Oleg only had two more rings. He did not have any leg guards, gloves, armguards or hat.

Li Wei briefly looked at the rings but quickly lost interest. He could not take off his [Ring of Chaos] and the ring with [Earth Wall] was still very useful to Li Wei. Unfortunately, the Mage's pendant also exploded after activating its skill earlier.

These were all the equipment Mage Oleg had but aside from that, Li Wei also found an old yellow book in the mage's robe. It was already clearly damaged by time. However, when Li Wei grabbed it, he obtained the following system prompt:

"This should be it."

Li Wei stood up. The quest had been completed. He did not need to spend the night here since he now had the keys to the gate of the graveyard. However, as he was about to walk out of the house, Li Wei's gaze briefly landed on the small opening next to the hobs from which Mage Oleg came out.

"Now that I think about it. Since they have been robbing graves, they should have a few good things in there."

He hesitantly went through the small opening which led to a small cache. As soon as he entered, Li Wei was momentarily blinded by the glistening sight. The cache was filled with gold coins and jewels.

After plundering the graveyard for weeks, the twin brother accumulated quite a bit of gold and items. They did not hesitate to sell the items to the black market and had accumulated a small fortune by doing so. They were planning to run away very soon to enjoy their gold in a different town but unfortunately, the sole beneficiary of their shady business would be Li Wei.

[System prompt: You have found a hidden cache. Do you want to automatically add the following items to your inventory: 592 gold, 20 Grade 0 Jewels and 20 Condensed Crystals. Note that non-craftable jewels have already been converted to gold.]

"This... This is too great! I knew the rewards for completing the quest would be huge but I did not expect so much!" exclaimed Li Wei. Without hesitation, he agreed to both system prompts. The cache was emptied in an instant as Li Wei's inventory became full.

He looked at his inventory with interest. He now had 619 gold, much more than any player could hope to obtain through normal means. The Grade 0 jewels were materials that could be embedded into weapons. They were not very useful to Li Wei as only Jewellers could use them and this profession could only be unlocked at the capital. As for the Condensed Crystal, they immediately attracted Li Wei's attention.

Li Wei was delighted. The harvest this time was huge! He was about to use the Condensed Crystal when a thought suddenly crossed his mind.

'Since all these items were essentially robbed from the graves, will I get into trouble if I do not return them all? They should all belong to rich NPCs and their families might come after me... The Condensed Crystals coincidentally give me the exact amount of exp I would have obtained if I submitted the quest.'

He was in a dilemma. The harvest looked too good to be true and after thinking for a while, Li Wei came up with a potential scenario. In the end, he chose to not touch the Condensed Crystals yet. He would first go to the Warrior Association and see whether they would ask for the items. 

'If it was a subjugation quest, it would have been fine to just take everything but this quest is a bit different. It is better to be safe. Using them now won't have much effect anyway. I need more than 40 thousand exp to level up again.'

Li Wei was about to leave the house when suddenly, two system prompts sounded:

"What? What on earth is happening outside?" exclaimed Li Wei. Having received the system prompts, Li Wei was certain that all the players have also received it and considering the negative effects of refusing, everyone would definitely participate. 

"This is bad." Li Wei briefly looked at his character window. His fatigue was already at 54. It was quite high and after passing 60, his stats would be affected. He was reluctant to take part in the quests but he knew all the other players also had high fatigue levels. Some might even be in worse shape than him.

He quickly left Oleg's house and went to the entrance of the graveyard. In the distance, he could already see part of the town brightly emitting an orange light. He took out the keys and opened the gates but at that moment, two more system prompts sounded:

[System prompt: An emergency quest has been issued: Defend Verdan Town!]

The scouts caught sight of a wave of flying demons. They should arrive at Verdan Town in the next ten minutes. Help the town defend against the demons

In the middle of the night, Skywalker rushed across the streets, wearing his trusty cloak. "Are you sure we made the right decision? There is a quest that has been released to hunt us!"

Dark King bit his lips. "We knew something like that would happen but as soon as we leave the town, everything will be fine. Nobody will know that we were behind this."

Followed by a group of players, the two players went into a dark alley where a cloaked figure was waiting for them.

"Sir, we have done our part of the plan. As you requested, we swapped some of the fruits for the explosives and put them in the warehouses. At the same time, my men have set the other warehouses on fire. They should be on their way here," solemnly said Dark King.

"Hmmm." The cloaked figure took out his cloak and nodded. If Li Wei was here, he would immediately recognize the cloaked figure as the old identifier!

"You did well. This should have caused enough chaos to split the guards." The old identifier nonchalantly pressed onto one of the bricks behind him. It activated a secret mechanism; with a muffled cranking noise, the wall behind the old man slid open.

"Follow me. Everything you asked for has been prepared. We also prepared an escape path as you requested. However, it is also being used by our men to infiltrate the town." The old identifier guided the players to a secret warehouse where countless boxes full of potions were waiting for them.

Dark King grinned as he saw the glistening potions. At the same time, he received a system prompt:

[System prompt: You have completed the quest "Cause chaos", 100000 exp awarded.]

In an instant, Dark King leveled up to level 18. He received an absurd amount of exp just for completing one quest, allowing him to completely skip level 17. Furthermore, he was not the only one, all the members of Exodia, currently in Verdan Town, received the exact same notification.

The rewards were bountiful. He also got all these boxes of potions that would further increase the stats of his guildmates. However, this quest had a huge risk. If they were caught, not only were they guaranteed to die, they would also suffer in the future as they would be labeled as criminals. This quest was a high-risk high reward quest!

"Dark King. Will our guildmates be fine? They are still running away from the guards. They might get caught," murmured Skywalker.

"Since when did you start to worry about your guildmates? A few losses are inevitable but the majority should be able to make it here. Send them a message and tell them about the brick that opens the wall."

Dark King swiftly commanded the players who transferred all the potions to their inventory. He was delighted. With the massive boost of power they have just received, Exodia should not have any trouble settling in a nearby town. At worst, if they were caught, they would be able to make a name for themselves at the Dark Cities.

The old identifier nodded as he noticed all the potions were gone. He pointed at one of the dark tunnels. "This is the exit. It leads directly outside the town."

However, at that moment, a dark figure emerged from the tunnel, followed by several other men.

The old identifier's eyes lit up. "Gogius! It has been a while. You are still as ugly as the last time I saw you."

"Old man. Time was not very kind to you either. Who are these guys?" asked Gogius as he took off his hood.

"They are the little helpers I found to cause some chaos. Some of the guards of the castle should have left to deal with the fire and with the incoming wave of demons, the castle would be even more defenseless," said the identifier.

"Good. Let's move quickly then. Our goal this time is the Eye of Mydas. It is one of the jewels found in the treasury of the Earl. According to the Messenger, it is a very powerful item that would be useful for the Heir of Darkness to release his third seal. He has already dispatched the flying demon corps to help us with this task."

"Got it. Looks like the faction is sparing no efforts in getting the best materials for the heir. Any regular jewels would have been alright but they are going for the best of the best," commented the old identifier.

"Do not question the orders of the Messenger." Gogius took the lead as several cloaked figures emerged out of the tunnel.

Dark King and the other players froze as they observed the long line of powerful NPCs making their way out of the secret tunnel. 'Looks like it was the right decision to not oppose these lunatics'

At that moment, a voice sounded next to Dark King. "By the way, Dark King. I have a proposition to make. Since you have already helped us cause chaos, why don't you help us in our next task?"

In 2050, an unprecedented nuclear disaster forced all human beings to find shelter in undergrounds refuge. Not knowing when the level of radiation will reach acceptable levels, the world leaders decided to bet everything on the next generation. They reallocated all their resources into a single project. A new VRMMORPG about to be released is redesigned to accommodate the world population. It will not only provide people with a goal and leisure but also serve as a test to find the future leaders that will rebuild Earth.

"This skill is so powerful that it's incredibly disgusting." This was the only statement Aurus could let out after reading up on the description of the newly fused skill. Nonetheless, on the inside, he was looking at the skill in awe, wondering as to what the limits of skill fusion could be. Not only that, he was also pondering as to how he could make this newly fused skill a trump card of his in the upcoming battle.
After fusing the three skills that he thought were all useless into one skill that was actually incredibly powerful, Aurus could not help but have expectations for the skill fusions he was about to do next. Indeed, with the realization that he could create intrepidly strong skills, Aurus was now hooked on fusing skills together.
Whoosh!
Opening up the Skill Fusion screen once more, Aurus commanded the system to change the list of skills he was looking at to compose of all of his skills, not just limiting himself to active and hybrid skills. If active and hybrid skills could be fused, then why not passive skills as well?
To be honest, after his first successful skill fusion, he started throwing skills into the Skill Fusion screen at random, only obtaining prompts from the system that informed him that the skill combinations he threw in would not work. It also informed him that the skills that were going to be fused together should have some relation, or else fusion would not even happen. Surprisingly, there was no downside to fusing skills randomly, just wasted time.
After that, he also tried fusing skills with the Ruler skills he obtained from the inheritance. Of course, a prompt appeared in front of his field of vision once again, informing him that Ruler skills could not be fused as they were tied to a title of his. To be on the safe side, the system also informed him that he could not fuse two Ruler skills together. Obtaining a prompt like that, Aurus could not help but think that the system had some level of awareness.
After obtaining those prompts which told him about the limitations of skill fusion, Aurus decided to look at the list of skills once more, taking those words of advice into consideration as he made wiser choices this time, instead of just fusing random skills together willy-nilly, hoping that the fusion would succeed.
And so, a few minutes later, after being bombarded with prompts, Aurus used the Skill Fusion screen once more. This time, with the skills he chose having some relation to them.
"System, fuse [Flux Chiliocosm], [Chiliocosm of Spirit], and [Stick-Flux Unification] together," he commanded the system, slightly trembling as there was a chance that the fusion wouldn't go through. Nonetheless, he was pretty confident that this skill fusion would work as all of them were related to his energy source. To be more exact, the vessels where he holds the energy.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
Not long after, three skill names appeared on the Skill Fusion screen, each and every one being the skills Aurus mentioned for the system to fuse. A few seconds later, these skill names started to faintly glow as a prompt appeared in front of Aurus' field of vision not long after. Reading through the prompt, Aurus could not help but radiate an aura of happiness as he muttered to himself in glee, "It finally worked!"
Ding!
'Would you like to fuse the three skills together? As all three of them are of the same grade, 5 of your levels shall be consumed.'
"Of course, I do," Aurus replied without hesitation, with three motes of light appearing inside his mind once more not long after. They collided once more with one another as usual, eventually melding into a giant ball of vibrant light. A few seconds later, a notification appeared in front of Aurus' field of vision, informing him of the newly fused skill that had just been created, as well as the fact that his level had dropped down to 9.
Ding!
'Skill Fusion is successful. The passive Species skill [Supreme Spirit-Flux Chiliocosm (Special)] has been created.'
Of course, since this was a new skill he had obtained, he could not help but read through the skill description, muttering praises in awe as to how amazing the effects were on the newly fused skill.

Birthed from the fusion of three skills which served the purpose of containing a strong yet plentiful energy, this skill expands the limit of how much energy, energy being Flux Points, this skill could hold. As a resonance has formed between the three skills, a superbly great amount of FP can be held at once, as well as the fact that a great amount of energy can be regenerated at once. Not only that, the effect of the energy is also enhanced, allowing the user to exert more power into their abilities.

"Tssss…" Aurus could not help but imitate the sound of sucking air between the teeth, aghast from the effect of the skill when comparing it to the effects of the three separate skills from before. "Although the amount of FP I can utilize is halved thanks to the Spirit Energy Core, that's still 10000 FP I can use at once! If I had that amount while I was making the Spirit Clone, I would've been able to create a Rank 1 Animate clone instead of Rank 0!"
As he continued to think about the possibilities of having a lot of SP, he could not help but say, "Then again, starting out as a Rank 1 Animate by relying through the system would probably be a worse choice than starting out from Rank 0 in the long run."
"Anyways, moving on." Placing these thoughts in the back of his head, he then continued to look at the list of skills that weren't fused yet, trying to formulate a skill fusion that would use up more than 3 skills as that would definitely result in an incredibly powerful skill.
A few seconds later in his attempt of formulating such a recipe of skills, he could not help but notice four Class Skills that were around the same line of thought, being around the manipulation of Flux for greater power. Well…at the very least, that's how Aurus interpreted it.
Looking at the Skill Fusion screen once more, Aurus commanded the system, "Fuse all of the active skills regarding Flux."
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
At that moment, four intangible threads of light, that came out of Aurus' body, made their way towards the Skill Fusion screen, filling up four spaces as the four of them glowed with vibrant light not long after, a decent contrast to that from the skill fusion before.
Aurus could not help but notice it as well, asking himself, "Is the amount of light emitted by the skills in the resonance proportional to the possible power of the skill?"
He tried to recall the amount of light that was released by the first skill fusion he did, slightly surprised that it emitted a bit more light compared to the fusion of energy storage skills.
Ding!
'Would you like to fuse [Unworldly Flux Weapon Fabrication], [Unworldly Flux Armor Fabrication], [Third Heaven Flux Enhancement], and [Grand Flux Samsara] together? As all of these skills are of the same grade, 8 of your levels shall be consumed.'
"Hoh? 8 of my levels shall be consumed? Since a fusion of 3 skills cost 5 of my levels, then a fusion of only 2 skills would cost around 2 or 3 levels? I'll have to find that out later," Aurus muttered for a bit after reading up on the cost of the fusion. Nonetheless, he accepted the prompt, dropping his level down to 2 afterwards. Of course, he used up a portion of his unused experience once more, getting back to max level in an instant as four motes of light appeared in his mind.
Unexpectedly, while the four motes of light collided with one another in an elegant yet vibrant dance of sorts, Aurus could not help but hear a dragon's roar resound from the collisions, with it becoming more frequent the closer the four were going to fuse as one. Eventually, the four had fused into one entity of light, illuminating Aurus' mind in a vibrant light as multiple dragon roars resounded not long after.
Ding!
Which was followed up by a notification sound.
'Skill Fusion is successful. The active Species skill [Ancient Modular Flux Equipment Fabrication (Epic)] has been created.'
As Aurus read up on the notification he had received, he could not help but gasp in surprise, forcing himself to stay silent as he did not want to startle Fenrir and Charisa, shouting inwardly in extreme glee instead.
"An Epic skill! I can't believe it…I actually obtained an Epic skill!"
As Special skills were stronger variants of normal skills, Rare skills being stronger variants of Special skills, Epic skills were on a higher level compared to them. Once a skill had reached the Epic level, even if it was a Mortal skill, it would still output power equivalent to that of a Transcendent level skill, or better yet, a Divine level skill!
Although Aurus had obtained a lot of Epic skills back in ISE, Legendary skills even, this was the first time Aurus had obtained an Epic skill in his current life, which was based on ISE. Of course, since it was his first Epic skill, he was quite excited to read the skill's description, bringing it up not long after.

Birthed from the fusion of four skills that specialized in the usage of Flux for greater power, a skill that could surpass the power of a lot of skills had been made, allowing the user to forge equipment out of the user's Flux. Not only that, the skill also allows the user to create modifications to the equipments made in terms of effects, even allowing the equipment to be given out to other users.

If Aurus had eyes, those eyes of his would definitely twinkle like a million shooting stars due to the sheer amount of awe and reverence he had for this skill. Not only that, multiple ideas for trump cards started to pop out of Aurus' mind due to the great amount of modularity Aurus could do to the equipment.
At the very end of his thinking session, Aurus could not help but mutter, "If this is what skill fusion can give me…why don't I fuse up even more skills?"
And so…that's what he did.

While Aurus was basking in the feeling of obtaining a lot of ideas, as well as greater combat power due to the fusions he was doing, something different was happening within a certain portion of the Celestial Plane.
Celestial Plane, Kurohana's plane.
"Success." Kurohana could not help but lightly chuckle as she looked through the white orb in front of her, looking at Aurus, who was currently fusing up his skills together.
While looking at Aurus, she raised both of her hands into the air, manifesting a few threads of green light that went towards the orb not long after. These threads were infused with the Law of Natural Flow, which Kurohana had asked for permission to manipulate as she did not want to be berated by Phatia again.
As she looked at the green threads slowly meld with the orb, displaying Aurus' surroundings, a light smile appeared on her face as she said in a slightly proud manner, "Finally, I removed that invincibility skill from his skillset. With him not having that skill, there would be greater chance for him to lose in the upcoming war that's going to happen, forcing him to recuperate. While he's recuperating, with the help of the threads I infused, that will make someone find him and use him as a weapon!"
"I'm a genius, a true genius." Kurohana could not help but laugh after going over through her plans. Not long after though, she continued to look at her orb, letting out a sigh as she muttered, "To be honest, I would have definitely waited for a year since that would allow Aurus to mature even more, increasing the nurturing speed of the weapon. But due to the plane's current circumstances, I have no choices but to do this."
As she said this, she could not help but recall the war that happened back then in the Celestial Plane, which killed off a lot of Lesser Gods, but allowed a decent number of Lesser Gods to become Greater Gods in the process. Nonetheless, the memories of the Divine Demon War to Kurohana was something she did not want for others to experience, which forced her to hasten Aurus' fate of becoming a weapon.
"Unfortunately, I wasn't able to stop him from forming a Spirit Clone." Kurohana sighed as she panned towards another section of Erudinia, the orb displaying an old yet wise-looking man drinking a bit of tea. She could not help but slightly frown as she continued to talk. "If he did not craft a Spirit Clone, then the strength of his soul would boost the nurturing speed of the weapon even further. Unfortunately, it seems that someone in my world has become aware of my actions…"
She let out a sigh not long after, muttering, "If I had the time to do so, I would definitely eliminate this fellow, but I have to focus all of my efforts to getting Aurus crafted into a weapon as fast as possible. The weapons I've crafted, although having a high grade, don't have enough power and affinity to fight against the demons."
"Only with a soul like Aurus' soul would I be able to create my true masterwork weapon, a weapon that can cut through anything and everything."
"By then…I would also be able to fight against those that plotted against me. Just you wait."

Under a planned twist of fate, Aurus was struck by a bolt of lightning, forcing him into the reality that he was never going to be able to play his favorite game ever again.

Fortunately, as if luck was on his side, a goddess took pity on him and gave him the choice to reincarnate as a stick? As to why she gave him that choice, I don't know but he still picked it anyway!
