A brain storming session were my readers can comment on my ideas with their own suggestions

The language learning course which tested the ability of the students' minds to read, and comprehend a certain text, acknowledged the variety of literary pieces across the world, expressed one's sentiments, and viewpoints through creative writing, and gave up a speech to the public with a required self-confidence and charisma had conquered the class of Yeats.

"English Time!" a classmate exclaimed.

"Ugh. Why on earth..." Noah said, lying her head onto the armrest.

The teacher had arrived with her male student who assisted her to carry on her stationery materials and left afterwards. 

She expressed her warmest greeting to the class, "Good morning, everyone."

"Gooood Morningggg, Ma'am Rhea," the entire students responded in dullness, deliberately prolonging the words.

"Again, good morning, Yeats."

"Good Morning, Ma'am Rhea! We are happy to see you today!"

The teacher nodded, and commanded them, "Okay, you may now take your seats."

"So Yeats, in this period, we would be having an activity, and I'm sure you would definitely love to hate this one."

The students plastered a counterfeit grin on their faces as they listened to their teacher's introduction. It looked as if their incoming task would be an "easy yet a lazy job" for them.

"You will be composing an original poetry! Isn't beautiful? A form of art of regurgitating all your personal experiences, feelings, aspirations, and showing off your ideals and visions of the world around us by using a piece of paper and a pen. What lies ahead of our future? Who shall be the one to pass this on for the next generation. It's only you, the young ones. As our beloved national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal quoted, 'The youth is the hope of our nation'," Ma'am Rhea Azuela dramatically spoke, and her fists were firmly closed.

Everyone groaned with the exemption of Ma'am Rhea whose energy was trying hard to somehow radiate the entire classroom.

"Hmm... Okay, you only have two options: To create or not to create. My role as a teacher is simply taking down of your grades and morals in your report card. If you want a failing grade, why not? I'll give it to you. Other than that, what does youth always say? You only live once, eh? So, I won't stop you from not submitting your requirement," Ma'am Rhea shrugged.

"Anyways, for those who wished to conform to the task, listen up. Before you start writing, I would love to give a bit of a background about our today's lesson. I'm sure most of you familiar with them. We've known different lyrical poems, epic poems and etcetera. Now, I'll ask you. What is haiku? Anyone?"

"Just give me a gist of it."

Students were staring at each other's eyes, and no one dared to speak. Few were looking at the white board. Most were avoiding an eye contact from their instructor. Some of them were gaping at the outside of the room. Ma'am Rhea whined and continued.

"Guys, you have to talk. Remember, this is an English class. You have to hone your communication skills. How are you going supposed to learn if you don't utilize your mouths? Ha? Come on. No answers are wrong in language. It's more on thoughts and ideas that we should express. You should be engaging more on interaction. And pretty please, let's help each other out. Don't leave me hanging guys, Okay?"

"Now, any thoughts from this group?" she asked, looking at the first row. Ma'am Rhea was about to choose her lucky victim when one of her students raised her right hand, "Ma'am."

"Yes, Miss? What do you think? What is haiku?"

"May I go to the comfort room?" the wench replied.

Some of the senior high students were retaining their soon-to-be-bursted laughter. Ma'am Rhea sighed, and said, "Yes, you may."

The young lass stood up straight, and said, "But, If I am not mistaken, haiku refers to a five-seven-five syllable count in a one three-phrase stanza. It is also originated in Japan."

"Again, thank you for your permission, Ma'am."

The schoolgirl went to the school comfort room, leaving the entire class in amusement. Ma'am Rhea snapped her fingers to get back her little ones' focus.

"That's my girl! She got it right. Finally, someone saved you from danger, eh?" the teacher cunningly grinned, and the student were then relieved. 

"And since this is a surprise activity, you need not to compose a haiku. Still, it is included in your quarterly exams. Instead, I challenge you to write a poem. Freestyle. Whether you want to have your piece that consists of a rhyme, or a regular meter. It's up to you. Make sure it has three stanzas. Do you understand me, Yeats?"

Dassah lifted up her hand up, and called, "Ma'am."

"Yes, Miss Dassah?"

"What would the topic be about?" the student asked.

"Hmm... Good question," Ma'am Rhea nodded, and began considering a great theme for her class's written poetry. Suddenly, a brilliant idea popped up. She smiled and responded to her student.

"It should be based on your personal experience. For example, your bonding with your family and friends. Maybe you want to write about your life as a student, and whatsoever. The sky's the limit."

"So, any questions?"

The class replied, "None."

"Okay. You may now start. And please let me check your composition before the bell rings whether it is done or not. I'll give a plus point and a secret award for those who could create a finished piece," Ma'am Rhea announced, and sat down on her chair to relax her voluptuous legs.

"Ma'am, what is the reward?" one man asked.

"It won't be confidential anymore, if I'll tell you, mister," she said.

The students proceeded writing on their mandatory art work. Creative juices were flooding up inside of their right brains. Tearing papers were echoing everywhere in the section. Loud mental groans from every school teens dominated in the class. Frustration mixed with determination to make a possible masterpiece were obviously transparent on their hopeless faces. Dassah who eventually ended her write-up stood up from her armchair, and submitted it to her English teacher. 

Ma'am Rhea was impressed, and took her ample time to read her three-stanza poem. As she perused Dassah's work, she smiled in delight.

"Miss Quinn."

"Yes, Ma'am?"

"I have a dumb question," the instructor said. She glanced at her unknowing student in mischief, and continued her talk.

" Are you in love?"

"NO WAY, MA'AM," Dassah yelled at her teacher. Her classmates instantly shifted their gaze at the two. She became flustered, and softly spoke, "Umm... Sorry, ma'am. I was just shocked. But, no, I am not, ma'am."

"And what makes you think that I'm uh..."

Ma'am Rhea replied, still smiling, "In love?"

Dassah slowly nodded in embarrassment,"Uh-huh."

"It's just my assumption. It seems the message of your poem conveys about a clichè romance like this love at first sight kind of scene. Ah. Reminds me of my first young love,"  Ma'am Rhea Azuela said, feeling the nostalgia of her past teen era.

"And, what's even more interesting is that I instructed you to have a poem that talks about your life encounters." Dassah's teacher continued.

"Then, I thought I might be wrong, so which is why I asked you."

Dassah again nodded as an abiding servant, and the English teacher spoke again herself, "So, mind if I ask you the story behind this piece of yours?"

"Um... Sure, Ma'am. But, it already says it all," Dassah said.

"It's basically this. I met a guy at a convenience store, and I did not forsee anything that we would see each other for the second time around. And for me, I was happy it happened for the both of us."

Ma'am Rhea could no longer hide her squeals, and let it out without any reservation.

"Oh, ignore my giggles. The story was too cute. But hey, Miss Quinn. This is your prize," she commented, and gestured her to move closer. Dassah came near to her instructor in obedience.

"You'll present it to the other class."

"Ma'am?!" Dassah exclaimed in terror.

"Shh... Don't tell anyone," she warned the young lady.

"But, but..."

Ma'am Rhea smiled, and said, "You may go back to your seat, Miss Quinn."

Dassah heaved a sigh of defeat, and move herself back to her armchair.  Floating her countless regrets of submitting her poem, the young lady had enough of the trap, and let the situation sail by itself.

Dassah Quinn had left no choice but to stay with a perfect stranger. Yearning for someone who would help them get out of trouble and leave the olden storage room is her gleam of hope.

Greetings everyone!

I've been busy editing some stuffs from the previous chaps. Not to worry, I did not change anything, just 'clean' some errors and patch some plotholes. Especially the errors my allegedly alive Keyboard did.

So to be honest, I didn't expected this sudden recognition, I was just casually writing stories then sharing them to the world through Webnovel. And now, I'm starting to get comments and reviews, which greatly pleases me! Please give me more of those, thank you so much.


So yeah, I had the plan to drop this novel before, during those quarantine stuffs and online class wackamoles, and yet, I'm still here, writing Vol. 2. So thank you ya'll for the support.

Daeva after bumping with Juno, she thought that her behavior wasn't so nice. But when the school bell rings, she snapped out of it and went to her designated room for her subject. Daeva is a fourth year college student in Literature and Creative Writing. She thought of becoming a writer to write literary pieces based on her experiences. Also, she thought that becoming a writer would allow her to have a small chance of interacting with people.

When she was about to enter her room, her Professor bumped into her. Mrs. Sanchez smiled at her. Daeva greeted her good morning and Mrs. Sanchez greeted her in return.

They both entered the room and Daeva sat at the second row. Mrs. Sanchez greeted her class and began discussing a lesson about her subject. She kept blabbing in front while Daeva glanced at the window. She caught a glimpse of Juno who's about to leave the school gates. As she follows Juno with her eyes, she began to feel a sharp pain at her left forearm. She didn't bother looking at it, she knows that it's currently bleeding so she just pulled her black sleeves lower. She returned her attention to her discussing professor and listens to her.

A couple of subjects passed then Daeva's lunch break arrived. She quickly ate at the cafeteria before going to the library. The school's library was enormous. It's also where the book club is rooming. Daeva is a member of the Book club and happens to be a good friend of Kevin, the Book club's president. When Daeva came in, she found Kevin fixing books that weren't returned to the proper shelve. She just picked up some books that were left at the tables and did the same. There weren't too much people in the library for now so she started casually chatting with Kevin.

"Hey Kev, you seem frustrated... What's wrong??" asked Daeva.

"Student School Council Vice President...She destroyed my morning." said Kevin casually.

"What did she do to you?" Daeva felt curious.

"Oh nothing...She just shuted me out... refusing to do some student council duties...or simply take the proposal and leave it to miss President's table... That's all..." Kevin replied.

Daeva didn't asked further what happened...But then, she felt like the person who she bumped with earlier at the hall way was the Vice President.

"The Vice President, was she the campus belle I keep hearing about." Daeva asked.

"Hmm? Yeah, that's her...Why, what's up?" asked Kevin as he finished arranging the books.

"I think she's the pretty blonde girl I bumped with this early morning. She wasn't really polite." Daeva said as she scratches the area where she felt pain while staring at Juno.

Kevin saw Daeva scratched her forearm right bellow her palm. He looked at Daeva with malicious intent. His lips curved up at one side. He then grab Daeva's hand and brought her to the school's clinic. Daeva didn't resisted and just followed Kevin.

The nurse was currently out of the clinic so Daeva's forearm can be treated. She pulled her sleeve up and let Kevin treat her wound. Kevin cleaned the blood off and covered it with bandage. When he was done, Daeva thanked Kevin and they came back to the library. 

There, while Daeva was waiting for her next class like Kevin, they decided to read a book. Daeva picked a random fantasy book while Kevin opened his laptop and read about demons.

"Let's go home together later and just order pizza for dinner, what do you say?" Kevin offered to Daeva.

Daeva just nodded, it's not very often that they go home together. Daeva and Kevin are roommates and oftentimes, Daeva gets home first before Kevin because of his club president duties.

Almost an hour have passed and Kevin closed his laptop. It's time for his next class, Daeva still have over half an hour before her next subject so Kevin just left her. When Kevin left the library, the atmosphere in the library became gloomy. Anyone who's in there felt uncomfortable, some left but some ignored it. Daeva is feeling a bit irritated but what can she do? She can't get rid of them...never...

Daeva kept reading until its just 15min left before her next class. She stood up from her sit and returned the book into one of the shelves. She felt a hand caressed her cheek and hear a chuckle. Daeva ignored it and left the library.

When she's out of the library, she can feel that someone ran "its" fingers on her hair. Her mouth was twitching, slowly forming a malicious grin. She covered her mouth with her hands, then, she took out a face mask from her pants's pocket and covered her grin. She went to her next class as if nothing had happened.

She still have 2 subjects left for her to survive. Her 3rd subject for the day passed as if it was a filler chapter of her day. Nothing very interesting occurred nor the class. But on her final subject of the day: Creative Writing, the class was given an activity and that is to write a poem. The poem have no specific theme but should be rhyming.

Writing poems weren't a problem for Daeva at all. She doesn't limit herself when it comes to writing and its subject. She writes what's in her mind and what she feels. They we're given an hour and when they were done, they are then dismissed. Daeva finished after 30min, she's always the first one to finish. As she passed her work and leaves the room, her professor Mr.Wilson gave her work a read.

Liu Duo had not realized it, but their conversations had begun to consist of more harmonious intimacy and less frequently resembled two bombs colliding and causing fireworks.

There was still no response, so Ye Liu knocked again.

After Ye Mo had had some time to recover, Liu Duo was about to get the door. He stopped her, "Put on your clothes first."

Liu Duo obeyed this time, and went to open the door once she was decent.

The door creaked open and the three brothers immediately entered. They saw Ye Mo sitting by the table amassed with rice paper and writing brushes, a posture that suggested he was in the process of writing.

"Oh, they're really writing!" Ye Liu walked over mischievously and placed a hand on Ye Mo's shoulder while looking at all the paper scattered across the board.

Still feeling a bit painful down there, Ye Mo coolly nodded, "Of course."

Liu Duo couldn't help but be impressed by Ye Mo, who could lie without being caught. This fellow was certainly Liuzi's double - right down to the acting skills!

Ye Yang looked at the characters on the rice paper, then again at the brush. Without a trace of emotion at all, he lightly said, "The brush isn't dabbed in ink!"

Liu Duo looked at him in surprise. He didn't need to be so direct! How vicious he was that his eyes had managed to spot that!

Ye Mo was stunned too. The brush had ink on it some time ago, so Ye Liu couldn't possibly tell whether it had been dabbed in ink that day, right?

Ye Liu, smart as he was, had long realized that. He just hadn't said it. So it was unexpected when Ye Yang pointed it out. Ye Liu silently gave him a thumbs up in praise of his observation!

Initially, he wanted to allow Ye Mo the chance to confess what he and Liu Duo had been doing behind their backs.

Only Ye Ling cluelessly looked from Yang to Mo. He grabbed the brush and drew a line on his arm. Indeed, it came off clean without any ink at all.

"Mo, you're lying!" He looked at Ye Mo surprisingly. He hadn't expected this.

Liu Duo, who was holding onto Ye Yang's arm, just looked at Ye Mo, wondering how he was going to save himself from his lie. He deserved it for not coming up with a script beforehand!

Ye Mo gulped and sneakily glanced at Liu Duo. She seemed to be rejoicing at his predicament, with little intention to help him out. He felt utterly defeated.

"Little Mo, were you bullying Little Duo again? Don't think just because you are literate, that we can't do anything to you!" Ye Liu smirked, teasing Ye Mo.

He wouldn't fall for Mo's little trick! There was no need to lock the door for a writing lesson!

Oh dear, his story hadn't worked? He had totally forgotten that Liu was a cunning one who would strike first and talk later!

Mo looked at Ye Yang and his cold, expressionless face, heart thumping in fear.

Then he came face to face with Ye Ling's disappointment and disapproval. Ye Mo didn't know what to do. His three brothers were ganging up on him, and he was scared.

Liu Duo found it funny to see Ye Mo running out of ideas, "Yang, Liuzi, Ling, you guys can drop it. Little Mo wasn't bullying me."

Whatever... She should give him a hand. He had probably learnt his lesson from the kick she gave him moments earlier.

"Don't cover for him! Duo Er, you screamed really loud. I should have come in. Mo must have bullied you. Don't be afraid, tell us. We'll protect you!" Ye Ling furrowed his brow at her. 

It was rare for Ye Ling to take someone's side, other than his brother's. He wanted to teach Ye Mo a lesson, if it were the last thing he would do, which left Liu Duo quite stunned. She thought, Since when did he stop defending his brothers and switch his allegiance to his wife instead?


Sold by her own grandmother to become a shared wife to the poverty-stricken Ye brothers for twenty taels of silver, Liu Duo, unwilling to succumb to her fate, escaped in the night. She slipped and fell and died an inexplicable death. 

Then She, a soul who shared her name, reincarnated into her body. Could this be heaven trying to make amends? She is going to has four husbands? Since what's done is done, She might as well accept her new life!

Work hard, earn money, get richer, become wealthy, maybe even have some kids!  Just as they are living their lives, an array of crazy characters just loves to disrupt their peace. Are they here to taunt her? Take advantage of her? Well, good luck with that! I'm not some sick cat who can't fight back!

I love colors. I'll say it over and over again: I love colors! They're beautiful. They're stimulating. Sometimes I even think they're magical. I love everything about them, from the power they have to evoke emotions to the subtle yet distinct differences they make in a work of art. But my favorite thing about colors is their symbolism, the way they can be used to hide secrets and hint at details of a bigger picture without drawing focus away from the story at hand.

It's simple enough to use colors in visual art, but what about in writing? Challenging as it may seem, I believe it is possible to create symbolism with words, such as when describing color schemes of character outfits and settings. Color symbolism has fascinated me for as long as I can remember, and while it would take an entire book (or series of books) to get into it all, I'd like to at least scratch the surface today with some of the basics I've picked up throughout my experience researching and implementing meaningful colors in my stories. You may want to consider these tips the next time you set a scene; they can help add a vivid new layer to your story! Enjoy!
Red – Red is a bold and passionate color, often symbolizing such strong ideas and images as courage, fire, power, and violence. It's a color that demands attention, which is why it's commonly used to signify danger. Use red for passionate or aggressive characters, or for any sort of intense scene, whether it's the heat of love or the violence of war.

￼Orange – Not quite passionate and not quite joyful, orange is a middle ground between red and yellow. It symbolizes energy and creativity, and is used in psychology to stimulate enthusiasm and determination. Use orange for adventurous or creative characters, or when you want to paint some vibrant warmth into a scene.

￼Yellow – Yellow is the two-sided coin of colors. On the one hand, it symbolizes happiness, optimism, sunshine, and friendship. On the other hand, it can also stand for cowardice, illness, hazard, and deceit. Golden shades represent wealth and luxury. Use yellow when you want to add hints of joy or caution to a scene. For the best effect, I recommend using yellow ambiguously, such as for characters who seem jubilant and optimistic on the outside but who are fearful or deceitful on the inside.

￼Green – Think of green and you're sure to picture beautiful scenes of nature, complete with lush vegetation as far as the eye can see. Indeed, green is the color of the environment, and it represents such ideas as youth, fertility, health, and rebirth. Abstractly, it also symbolizes jealousy and good luck. Use green for characters associated with natural themes such as environmentalism or the practice of healing, or to hint at fortune or envy in relationships.

￼Blue – Blue is my favorite color because it represents all my favorite things. It's a color that symbolizes intelligence, tranquility, trust, and loyalty. In nature, it's associated with the sky and the sea, and different shades from turquoise to navy can be used to signify sophistication, knowledge, and integrity. Use blue for characters who are more intellectual than emotional, and for settings fitting an atmosphere of calm and authority.

￼Purple – Purple is the color of royalty, and has long represented such themes as nobility, wisdom, honor, and extravagance. Being a relatively rare color in nature, it is often associated with mystery and magic. Lighter shades such as lavender also convey grace and elegance. Use purple as a motif for regal or arrogant characters, mysterious settings, and storylines brimming with fantasy.

￼Pink – A soft complement to the bold red, pink is the color that most famously signifies love and romance. Strongly associated with femininity, it represents tenderness, caring, and acceptance. I myself tend to associate the color pink with flowers. Use pink to add a soothing or feminine quality to a scene, or to signify elements of a romantic subplot.

￼Brown – Brown is well known as an earth tone, and as such tends to represent stability. Common ideas associated with the color brown include simplicity, comfort, and endurance. Use brown when you want to convey a sense of plainness or tenacity in a scene without having to resort to the blatant dullness of gray.

￼Gray – The dull middle ground between white and black, gray is most commonly associated with boredom and depression. On the positive side, it also stands for security, modesty, practicality, and reliability. Use gray for conservative characters or when you want to create a colorless air for a particular setting.

￼White – White is the international color of peace, and is often regarded as a symbol of light, purity, and faith. Some even go as far as to associate it with perfection. Note that white takes on a different meaning in Eastern cultures, where it's associated with death and mourning. Use white when you want to convey innocence in your characters and cleanliness in your settings, or when you want to create strong religious symbolism in your scenes.

￼Black – The exact opposite of white, black represents everything that its counterpart doesn't. Darkness, evil, and death are themes commonly associated with black, but it can also stand for austerity, formality, style, and sexuality. Arguably the most powerful color of all, black has a long history of symbolizing strongly opposed ideas on the spectrum of good and evil. Use black to convey depth in your characters or to add dark themes to a scene. For best results, combine it with other colors to create interesting contrasts of ideas in your stories.

[ The people of the past sure have great ideas. The new generation rely too much on their manifests, they believe only manipulators can do what I just did. Although it is true that it is much easier for a manipulator to do it. Oh well, to each his own. ]

Zero kept the shards away and continued meditating the remainder of the night. The ancients believe that meditating is as effective as sleeping and it should replace sleeping. Zero wasn't too sure about that, but it has been his practice for the last couple of years so it was only natural he do it. 

The first rays of sunlight shined through the room's curtainless window. The students who came in didn't have time to sort out the room, with just 2 beds for them to sleep they could only make do with it. Zero opened his sapphire eyes taking in a deep breath, the snoring of Odrunn sounding like a drum played rhythmically. Zero stepped out of bed and looked at his watch, the next moment the snoring Odrunn was slapped awake with no mercy. 

"What is it boss, did you call me?" Odrunn wiped the river that was flowing down the side of his mouth like a waterfall. 

"It's time to attend the tactics lesson. Let's go" Zero waited for Odrunn to put on his clothes and left together. The walk to the main building took 20 minutes this time, which is odd, since the behemoth Odrunn was breathless and tired from the walk yesterday.  

"I feel myself stronger! Maybe it's because I am a genius in physique building." Odrunn happily exclaimed while landing down on the small seat with a plop. Zero had no comments to what Odrunn said so he just rolled his eyes and took a seat. The class was relatively quiet today as the nobles were excused. Most of them were groomed to be leaders in the military, so without a doubt tactics was something that was instilled in them from birth. 

Zero was given tactic trainings in the incubator as well, however the tactics that they were using there was a no-nonsense kind of tactical training, where the casualties doesn't matter and only victories count. The resistance had their own tactics as well, but due to the battling on terrains, their tactics were more niche. Zero was actually excited to see how his version of tactics would differ from the rest tactics of the military. 

A white haired old man stepped into the class, wearing a monocle he strutted in with a gait, his peg leg resounded with a "thud" as it touched the wooden floor of the classroom. 

"Hello potential commanders, my name is Denver Holt. I used to be a strategist in the military, but after losing a leg and an eye to the service of the city, I retired and became a teacher. What you are learning here will be tactics. Not just tactics to bring thousands of soldiers into war, but also tactics on how to survive out there with just the team you are working with. I'll just tell you the rules of survival. 

Always know the full extent of the abilities of your team. This will help you prevent overreaching and aid in your survival. 
Always elect a leader, even if you are not the leader, you should follow orders and aid them.
Even if you ARE the leader, you should take into consideration what you men are telling you, that might be the difference between surviving and a military wipeout. 
Don't overreach, act prudently and not be greedy. If you survive, you will come back to fight another battle. 

Now that we are clear on the rules, I will flash a question on the board, you will look at the question & answer it the best way you know how using your communications watch, once you are done submit it to me. This will give a rough sense of where you stand, no discussions are allowed. You may begin now!" 

'If you have an important soldier that is captured by an enemy force, the enemies have a total team of 15 manifesters and you have a randomly assembled team of 5, how will you proceed with the situation' 

The students stared at each other and started to type out what they felt like would be the correct choice onto a holographic keyboard. Some wanted to impress Denver by writing down very flowery answers. "I will surround the building with my team and shout out, COME OUT WITH YOUR HANDS UP, WE HAVE YOU SURROUNDED." Which to many may sound like a logical plan, but when you realise that your opponents outnumber yourself 3 to 1. It doesn't sound smart after all. 

Fatty was the first one to shout out "DONE!" as he submitted his answer and gave a meaningful look at Zero, before putting his head on the table and going to sleep. 

Zero looked at the question and pondered. 

There are so many ways to answer this question. The incubator's tactic would be for me to copy a disguise ability, lure one of their combatants out changing to him and killing the soldier so there will be no leak as well as everyone in the compound. The Resistance will probably leave 4 people to look out for the situation and send for 1 person to seek help. As for how I will do it, I can't decide without knowing who my team is and how they would act. That's how I am going to answer. 

Zero submitted his answer and waited for the rest of the class to complete. Denver spoke up after 30 minutes. "I have read all your answers and I have to say, some of you are really creative when it comes to solving the problem at hand, while some of you are giving me total rubbish." 

Denver looked exasperated while he flung his arms. The next portion will be a simulation, take the door on the right, follow me. The students flooded into the next room as they entered a room with no windows, pure white tiles decked the walls and the ground, the light humming sound of machinery working in the background. 

"This is a simulation room, it will be able to draw out some simulations without actually causing hurt to you. The 5 of you standing closest to each other will form a team and will run the scenario I have given you just now. You may try it multiple times, each team that succeeds will be given 30 credits. Every time you fail, 1 credits will be deducted from each of you" 

The sound of murmuring could be heard as the students separated themselves.
 
Odrunn, being the follower that he is, stuck to Zero, so they were a team. Next to them a frail looking girl with blue hair and arms like thin sticks stood beside them, a tall male with a crew cut nodded as he stared at his team, finally, a youth with a green robe, holding a fan smiled meekly. Odrunn whispered into Zero's ear. 

"Boss, this guy is .." Odrunn wanted to speak up, before getting interrupted by the green robed youth. "Windham Law, nice to meet you. I believe your friend wanted to say, I am a free-spirited person that get in trouble a lot with authority and I would be a difficult person to be in a group with." Windham Law smiled as he looked at the 2 of them and smiled.

"HAH! I was only about to say that you were the crazy one going around saying you are looking for your king. I wasn't thinking about any of that!" Odrunn smugly replied. Zero rolled his eyes and pushed Odrunn back. 

"Apologies, My name is Zero Cromwell, this is Odrunn. He doesn't think before he speak, I apologise if you took offense to what he spoke." 

The meek girl dressed in a blue gown with shoulder length hair introduced herself gently. "My name is Shirl Carlyle. Nice to meet you all" 

Shortly after the crewcut male replied " I am Jordan Fisc, I come from a long line of military commanders, I hope we work well together. The approval of Denver Holt means a lot to me." 

'Simulation starting' a mechanical voice sounded out.  The teams stood together as they are allocated a spot with their own hut and imaginary enemies. 

"Crunch crunch," Chewing sounds could be heard as Odrunn's mouth was moving incessantly, drawing the others attention towards him. "What? I eat when I'm nervous okay?" Odrunn defended himself. 

"Well first things first, we need to let each other know our abilities and plans, what did all of you write down in the test?" Jordan commanded as he tried to wrest leadership in the group. 

Odrunn started the ball rolling "I have a weak self healing manifest, for my strategy I wrote 'too many casualties, not worth it to rescue"

There is a thing experiencing Webnovel authors go through after learning how to write through basically people online insulting your story, and that's the feeling of 'how to pace' their next chapters.

At first, writing is a passion for an author they do on the fly. However, once they get serious and learn all they need to know about their story's genre, their drive for perfection causes them to write a lot less.

Writing itself becomes a chore as expectations from your reader and your own make you subconsciously think you're back in school. This is a normal reaction considering your hobby has become unpaid work...

However, there is a way to overcome this! Well, at least if you're writing Action-oriented story with lots of people punching each other, and that is by NOT GIVING YOUR CHAPTER A NAME!!!

Now I know what you're thinking: "Come on, stop messing with me, Love4NovelGuy. How can not naming your chapter do anything? My new chapter I put work in is part of my story and needs attention!"

And that's where you're wrong. The moment you start posting on a chapter by chapter basis, you've already made it hard for yourself to invest in your own story. Sometime after writing the chapter and posting it you'll forget what you even wrote in it.

The best way to overcome this is by telling yourself that you'll only stop writing and name chapters after you've gotten to a satisfying climax to all those chapters you've written before the 'satisfying end'. 

I know, you're probably doubting if my mental trick will even work. But you know, the first lesson to mental tricks is BELIEVING IN IT! You can't expect things to fall on your lap and motivation isn't something you find, try motivating YOURSELF.

Now that you've thought of a story and want to get it out on page... Well, do it. Go 'barf' all your ideas into the first draft of your story, leave it alone for a few days, then reread it to see if you made mistakes.

Editing is a major part of storytelling when your writing and there is no author who had wrote a masterpiece on their first draft. Get over any mental hang-ups you may have before following this advice.

The reason why I said this works best for action oriented stories is because 'fast pacing' is what audiences want in such a story. Unless it's a special moment where you're characterising using something complicated, your base pace should be fact unless your writing an 'Adventure' story.

In Mushoku Tensei (Jobless Reincarnation), it may seem like an action story considering the magic system is introduced early in the story. However, it is more accurate to say the magic system was used to make the beginning half of the story more 'slow'.

What I mean by this is that having characters standing around talking to each other or doing things that don't build tension may be considered quite 'static' for those who like action, but someone wanting to immerse themselves into the fantasy world he was transported would be more interested.

This is what I mean by 'slow pace', and what I mean by 'fast pace' is having the MC tackle one problem after another to get where the next fight is. Though I may be describing them separately, most longer stories tend to switch things up every now and then to keep the reader's investment in what happened.

Now, since I've already gave a lesson on the basics of pacing and how to write an action story, let me now dive in a little into exposition. Don't worry, this won't take long to explain. I'll be quick about it.

Basically, ignore everyone who says "show and don't tell" since you are writing a wordy story where the narrator tells the reader everything. The only thing you need to do when writing exposition is to MAKE IT INTERESTING! I don't know why everyone has a problem doing this. I mean, even info-dumps can be interesting if the character giving it is also being fleshed out through interactions while doing it.

New pieces of information that are going to be relevant later need to be balanced by what you're giving now. Don't think your audience are idiots by letting them infer things. That's what is usually called 'subtext' by readers who want intrigue.

The lines from a character can differ in the amount of information they give. For example:

Calling a character 'Queen [Insert Name]'  would be considered too straightforward. What would be a better way to introduce a character and let the audience infer by themselves is calling a character 'Your Majesty' before describing an old woman with a demeanour that seemingly demanded authority.

However, this is me rambling on and you should be courageous to write your story whether good or bad no matter what insults come your way. No good story is built in one day and editing is always an option if your grammar is so bad it burns eyes.

Just take a look at me, I wrote a story that took forty chapters to fully understand and still strived to improve it by editing a bunch of times until I finally got it to a level that contends with my newer works.

This is a story I worked on ages ago that has been refined and edited by adding foreshadowing to events while also simplifying the power system better than before. This story can be considered a prequel to An Adventure Beyond Greatness as it takes place years prior to the events of that story.

Short Synopsis:
After retiring from the battlefield, my life became empty and lifeless. The regrets of my past haunt me in my sleep. Then a change occurred, a King from another world summoned me to fight for his kingdom, but I died even before I could give him my answer. Now, after a fake God allowed me to reincarnate (albeit imperfectly) with my memories intact, into a world filled with magic and swords.

Long Synopsis:
This is about a flawed protagonist who only knew to rely on others and not socialise who gets a second chance to change himself in order to live the life he aimed for in his past life. The narrator isn’t exactly trustworthy since it is purely in his bias perspective while other perspectives given by others fill in the blanks that he either leaves out or twists to suit the situation.

The story itself can be considered a parody of Isekai’s classic tropes which are given a sense of reality as time goes by. As there exists no ‘Demon Lord’, there is also no black and white, only characters opinions and counter-opinions throughout the story.
