I should ask. I'll ask her for the first time and maybe the last time, after a long time. If she would leave her ass, without telling me the answers, I reckon, I wouldn't going to find peace, anywhere, and maybe that's the reason, I was really waiting for her, to come up to me, to reveal the things that have happened. I am hundred percent sure, I need to ask her. I'll ask her.

I never….but I am asking now. But you don't need to change the way of your speaking. You just need to answer.
She glares at me, standing in the hallway, with deep blue eyes, her pupils dilating, her brow creasing…her lips parting, almost twitching.
"Yeah, I never. But it can't go always like that. Listen to me, I am concerned about you. I am afraid, if that, fucker would reach you again." I explain.
I cannot hide my agony from her. I want to know everything. Who knows, that fucker would reach her again, and do any harm to her. I can't imagine if I would forgive myself then.

How could she be rude to me? It's excruciating. She has never been. Her words strike me deep in my chest, effectively, more prevailing than any bludgeon could do. 
	'Don't be like that. Don't be that rude to me.' A pathetic part of me…a weak part in front of her, weakens, begging for her. I can't show myself like that to her. Painful. Wounded. Hurt. So much hurt. Having her, heard this rudely for the first time.

Balancing me…helping me from inside to outside, I try to have power over myself. I try to control my aching fury.

She's getting discourteous, and it's not pleasing at all. I can't bear this, at all. I should better drop this question. I don't know what I would do if I lose my control.

"Okay…then tell me, why you were so piqued in going to my office? I don't seem to comprehend. You study journalism, if I am not wrong?"
This question is befittingly okay. At least she can answer this question, now. This is the way I can only convalesce myself. She needs to answer this. The answer of this question could be the revelation of my some unanswered questions. I envisage of connecting dots.
"I've wanted to move in publishing and writing, specifically in writing. Even I want to. Even I am doing."
What? She wants to move in publishing. I can comprehend, that as in media, she could need for writing articles and other things. But in publishing, that's different.
	Or does she want to write a book?
"Doing what?" I ask.
She stops for a moment, but speaks abruptly. "I am writing a book. I hope you won't tell to anyone."
I should've known it before.
"You know, I won't. But in what genre?" My voice cools down as the intensity of fire in me, looses.
"Mmm…it's…umm…erotica romance."
What? An erotica? 
Really?
"You are writing an erotica? What made up your mind for that? I have never thought of you writing... erotica."

Also, each class had a class monitor and deputy class monitor that's entrusted in assisting the teachers in class, aiding the weak students, roll call... and so on.
No matter what amongst the 2 leaders, one had to be female and the other male.
Generally, once the winners for both the Male Group and female group emerged.... the students would then vote between the 2, and choose who should be the class monitor or deputy class monitor.
For the biology class, the students were taught the basics like: cells, microbes, plant systems, animal systems, invertebrates and vertebrates.
In short, they were taught about all the classes of living organisms.
Of course for Math 4, they focused on simple variable math... like 5x=10, find X.
In that class, they focused on understanding one to two variable equations..... which were usually linear equations.
For chemistry 2, the students would still focused on reactions, atoms and so on.... but now with the use of calculators, they had begun learning about calculating molecular weight and so on.
Of course just so that the students could breathe a little, music, literature, physical education and arts & craft were essentially a must.
In short, this semester was a busy one.
Today, Linda and little Momo were heading towards the Chemistry Lab in the new school building.
Once they got in, they immediately climbed the stairs until they arrived at the 3rd floor... where they were greeted with a large group of students outside the lab.
The area was bustling with busy students.
Friends greeted each other with hugs or playful punches, while others had their eyes glued on their books as they continued doing assignments that were due in the next class.
Some already had their lab coats and safety wears on, while others were busy wearing theirs on now.
In fact, everyone was doing their own thing as they waited for the class to begin.
Instantly, the duo opened their bags and quickly pulled out their neatly folded lab coats and safety items.
For this class, everyone was required to wear their lab coats, gloves, rubber boots, and goggles.
Linda looked at her watch and knew that it would soon be time for them to go in.
And right on queue, Mother Kim and teacher Gophen opened the lab doors from instead and ushered the students in.

The Laboratory was massive, with several working slabs, cupboards with equipments stored in them, and a small storage room at its front.

Ever since the beginning of the semester, they had been put in groups of 5.
Apparently, these people would be their lab partners throughout the entire semester.
"Alright.... before we begin, you all know the drill.
In front of each group, are 5 question sheets.
You all have 7 minutes to answer them.
Remember, no cheating and no copying.... these small tests make up 20% of your final grade.
Now.... Begin!!"
Linda immediately flipped her question sheet and got to work.
For this Chemistry 3 course, they had 1 theory class on Tuesdays, and 1 lab session on Thursdays.
And at the beginning of each lab session, they would have mini quizzes that would test them on what they had learnt in their Tuesday classes.
Chemistry 3 was a course based on Laboratory work, so they had to know about the equipments in front of them, safety lab hazards and so on.
In fact... Ever since the students knew that these questions were 20%, they had taken them seriously
Linda filled her name and school number on the question sheet, before proceeding to answer the questions.
The questions were straight to the point, and easy to answer if one was paying attention during lectures.
And just like that, time flew by quickly... 7 minutes later, the quizzes collected back by teacher Gophen.
And the papers were collected, Mother Kim began distributing the Lab manual sheets for today's experiment.

"Alright.... before we begin our Laboratory experiment, let's recap on what Teacher Winnie has been you all in Chemistry 2." Mother Kim said.
The students immediately took out their books and writing materials.... While others flipped the pages of their books to the last pen-filled page.
It was important for the students to know about what reactions they were going to perform today, hence it was good for them to recap on what they were previously taught.
"So as usual, let's look back on what you all have been learning so far.
I need a few examples of chemistry around us... anyone?" Mother Kim asked, as she waited for the students to raise their hands.

For example, we breathe out carbon dioxide and take in oxygen... so air is always changing.
Also... air undergoes changes whenever smoke is released in to the atmosphere by burning, hence it's part of Chemistry."

Any other examples of Chemistry around us?" Kim asked.

                One of the girls the room definitely recites her poem the least emotion. That last line tells everything why. Almost eight students have been called in front, and so far, their language is flawless.                 Everyone is, once again, clapping at this new student who is the most foreign of all. The mere minute left for me to write has not given me enough time to artfully word the obscurity of my gender.
                Amidst the overflowing fear to be hated, I stand before these new faces who have no clue who is about to speak to them. South Korea is known to be one of the most conservative nations of this modern world, and what I am about to tell them will definitely alter their view—and to which direction, I am not sure.

                I thank the bell for ringing right on time. With that, I have a plausible reason to escape from the hook of everyone's attention. I rush to grab my things from my seat and pretend to take my time putting them back to my bag. I should feign being slow to buy them time to leave the room.
                "Marcus, your poem is substantial and creative." Mr. Hwang compliments when everyone has left the room except me.
                "Inside you is a poet whose composition is destined to be heard. To be written in just few minutes, your poem is just great."
                "…and brave." A third person's voice cuts my conversation with Mr. Hwang.
                His subtle movements make I and Mr. Hwang believe we were alone in the room. Nonetheless, there sits the tall guy whose desk is opposite of mine. But the growing pace of my heartbeat is not caused by his presence, I assessed. It is his comment which rushes the rhythm of my breathing.
                I know I am required to give the next comment, but there is nothing in my mind now that I can grasp to tell. Good thing the tall guy leaves the room right after he feels the awkward atmosphere.
                
                In all the classes I have for this day, that last class is the most memorable. By that, I mean, a bittersweet-kind of memory. Until now, my thoughts are hovering around the quick comments I received from being myself. I wonder how bare that line was.
       Still unsure of which it for exists.
                It can mean "unsure" of which person it is existing for. It can be that girl who attended the same school as I back in elementary, or that other girl who lives next to us back in the Philippines. However it can mean, I know in myself that it means it is unsure whether a man or woman it exists for… and two of the people in that room understood what I meant. Mr. Hwang's reaction has an embrace of encouragement, while that guy's comment does not clearly reveal anything at all. And that mere thing makes it even worse to think about.
                The depth of my introspection allows me to reach the dormitory unwittingly. There I stand in front of the door to room 408, thanks to that other guy in the elevator for assisting me find the place faster.
                On that door, there is my name and someone named "Kim Seung Min". He clearly is Korean, I thought. My roommate, I hope, is the best person I will ever meet in this country.
I tap the card that guy handed me in class. The door produces some sound which tells me it is unlocking. I clutch the knob. The room is more stunning than I expected! It is bright and very conducive for learning and writing those masterpieces I am about to create.
I remove my shoes before entering the bedroom proper as Korean culture has taught me. I caress most of the furniture in the room, and the mere touch of them shows me "heaven"!
I have never lived in this kind of luxurious room! I sniff the luxurious air that lingers inside my new room for almost a year. The scent is so aromatic that my eyes unconsciously closed themselves to heighten the moment's feeling. But that grand moment is snipped by the opening of the bathroom door.

So you have thought about it properly right." "Yes, mom. I will do IeLTs and try for Australia." "I have a friend who runs an institue for such studies. Lets go tomorrow and consult with him". "Ok, mom."

Simran called her friends and asked them about their classes. Almost everyone had taken preparation classes to study for medical course. " Hmm, everyone is preparing to study here. But I don't want to study medical course at all. I don't want to give heavy burden to my brain." Simran thinks for a while and then goes to sleep.

Next day,
"Hello Simran, I am your mother's friend, John. Nice to meet you." "Nice to meet you too, sir." John explains about the study class and the benefits of foreign study to simran.
Simran then daily went to the study class for 5  weeks. "Finally, my class is completed, now the only thing left to do is to give exams."

"Hey Akks, how are you? My class has completed . How is your medical preparation class going?" "Hi, Simran..my classes are running smoothly. My entrance exams starts next month. Now, I am currently going to fill my entrance forms. So, which course are you thinking to take in Australia." "Hmm...I don't know. I only want to study abroad. I haven't thought of any course." "Simran, maybe you should try for exams here. You are talented Why don't you try for  medical courses too." Chapter one: A Day At The Lake



I woke to the rumbling purr of Ares. He curled his paws under his body as he laid on my chest. I struggled to open my eyes to see my adorable kitty. His gray and brown fur lined with black stripes was so soft to the touch. He was my familiar. An animal who is deeply connected to a witch and assists them in magical affairs. He can't talk, but we can understand one another in different ways. 

It was summer break, one year into collage, and school was already harder than I thought. Not English. I was already finished with those classes. I was planning on taking some creative writing classes in the coming year for fun, but math had me stumped. I was at the lowest level and trying to get a science degree. A witch with a science degree. Wouldn't that be great. After that, I would go on to a university to try for a master's degree in zoology. If I could make it that long.

I had turned nineteen a few weeks ago. I didn't feel my age. Half of the time I felt like a child.

It was Tuesday, and Elizabeth and I had a whole day of hanging out planned. I needed a day out. I usually spend most of my time inside. Witches need to spend a lot of time outside to gather magical energy from the elements. Liz and I are not always great at being witches though. Since we both live in the crappy part of the city, there isn't much nature. Lucky for us there is a small man-made lake within walking distance. It's where the "rich houses" started, so it was usually lush with trees. The water, however, was infested with bacteria from birds and peoples moldy bread.

Liz and I were pretty much introverts. Her more so than me. She spent most of her time reading and I spent mine writing. We made a great team. She studied books on witchcraft passed down by other witches, while I practice the art of creating new spells. I am pretty good at it. I am what was known as a manipulator. A witch who naturally moves and changes energy... aka spells. Liz was an empath. She could tell what others are feeling and thinking. She also could feel and see the flow of magic. Kind of jealous of that. 

After I dressed in boot cut jeans and a light blue tank top, I peeked into my sister's room. Serena was playing on her tablet, listening to boy band music. Fitting, considering her walls were covered in posters of male pop sensations. 

"Serena. Want to come with me and Liz to the lake today?" I asked her.

"Not today. I'm going over to Bridgette's later. Her mom is picking me up." She never stopped looking at her tablet. 

Serena and I had gotten closer since I started college. Most of my friends and I started to drift apart already, and we were constantly arguing with mom. We both felt pretty lonely and decided we should be friends instead of sibling rivals.

"Ok, I'm heading out then. See ya!" I texted Liz that I was on my way.

Mom was still laying on the couch. She didn't have her own room. We were living in a two bedroom apartment and, though we fought almost daily, mom always tried to put us first. I am sure she also did not want to deal with my sister and I fighting over space in one room. 

My mom was a plump woman. Her health issues didn't allow her to do too much for too long. It was hard to try and lose weight. Even so, everyone in our family has natural curves. We all have "bubble butts" as my mom would say, and boobs to match. Even when my mom was skinny, she looked like an hourglass. 

"Morning honey." Mom paused her show.

"Good morning. I'm heading over to Liz's." I grabbed my backpack.

"Have fun." She said, "I'm leaving for work soon, so I'll be back around 9:30 tonight. I love you!"

"Love you too, mom." With that, I scurried out the door and wound my way through the gray apartment buildings with dirty concrete stairs and newly painted black doors. Luckily we were in the same complex, so I didn't have to go far. 

As I made my way through the apartment's playground, I saw Liz heading down from her apartment on the second floor. Good, I hated stairs. I was happy to be on a ground floor.

Liz pinned back the front of her dark brown hair so it wouldn't get in her face. She was in her usual black tank and jeans too long for either of us. 

"Sam!" She yelled, as she ran up to me. She widened her eyes, showed all of her teeth and pulled her head back to make a triple chin look. I screamed and hid behind the nearest tree. I laughed as she jumped out from around the tree trunk. She pretended to hump my leg and pushed her off as I shuttered. That's my bestie. Always trying to make me as uncomfortable as possible.

"Liz!" I licked my hand and wiped it on her face. 

She screamed "Eeewww!"

We walked to the dollar store a few blocks away and bought snacks and drinks. The summer heat was already beating down on me. I couldn't stand being too hot. As much as I loved the swimming, walking barefoot and wearing tank tops that comes with summer, I absolutely loved the winter time. Winter brought snow. The snow holds intense magic within it, and here in northern Nevada, we usually got lots of it come winter time. 

We made our way to the lake. In the middle of the shallow brown water sat two large fountains spewing out in every direction. It made it sound peaceful, despite the chatter of people walking the trail or the buzz of cars passing by. 

Liz and I had two favorite spots. The first was the dock. We found the entrance ramp that was lined in tall bushes and grasses and raced to the T shaped, white dock bouncing on the water. It was lined with railing and secured from floating away by large poles. 

We sat at the end eating our snacks. I pulled out a coke from my Frozen themed backpack, and Liz grabbed a Pepsi from her mini black back pack. Yes, I was obsessed with Disney. I told you I always felt more like a child.

"Pepsi is my soda husband." Liz said.

"What?" I gasped. "No way, we have to share. You can share coke with me."

"Nah, you can keep coke, I'll take Dr. Pepper." She winked.

"Deal. It's a shame, we'll have to find new husbands when were done with these." The coke burned my throat as I slurped it down.

"It's ok. I've got back ups at home." We both laughed.

"Do you think we sound crazy?" I asked.

"Sam... We're secret witches, staring at a man-made lake, while talking about soda husbands... we are crazy 'tupid head." 

I loved our weird talks. Half of the time we made no sense or were completely inappropriate. It was nice to have friends as weird and random as I was. Even my high school friends were super odd. Not everyone can handle all my crazy. 

Sharon was like an older sister. We were sister witches bound by magic. We had many fights in the past, but could never stand to stay apart for too long. It's not easy to be the only practicing witch around. I know she likes to be seen as tough, and she is, but I knew Liz didn't like to always feel alone. Her family were all bible thumpers and we didn't live in a great place for making friends – human or other. Most people our age around here were into drugs, wanabe gangs, or already on their second kid.

We moved to our second favorite spot a bit further down the lake. It was a small circle surrounded by trees and large rocks. It had some small broken statues and an unused water fountain just on the other side. This was our place of worship. There wasn't many choices in the city to hold sacred rituals in the arms of nature, so we made do with what we had. I'm sure most people were too high or stuck on their cell phones to notice us chanting, lighting candles and wearing strange clothes. Or they thought we were on crack. This was Reno after all.

We had a spot to represent each element in our circle of trees. Facing north sat a curved tree that laid out like a bench that we used for resting on while dangling our legs. This represented Earth. To the west was the lake and a stump in the shape of a kings chair facing it. This represented Water. To the south was a concrete bench we used to hold our candles and incense during ritual holidays. This was for Fire. The last side to the east held a broken statue more than 5 feet tall. This represented Air.

I said, "I stopped talking with that guy."

"Aww, that sucks. You'll find somebody eventually. I'm older than you and still haven't been on a date either."

I had been spending my days talking with a boy in Australia for quite some time. We video chatted almost daily. I loved listening to him talk. Who doesn't adore an Australian accent? He was smart and loved animals, almost as much as I did. We ended it though since we both knew it was unrealistic to ever meet in person. We were just too far away. 

I asked, "want to see something cool? I've been working on a protection spell." 

"Yuss!" Liz leaned forward to watch. 

I drew the Algiz rune on my hand with a sharpie I pulled from my bag. I held my palm forward, closed my eyes and chanted under my breath "Praesidium. Praesidium. Praesidium."

I opened my eyes and Canada geese began to gather from all directions. None got too close, but they formed a circle around us. Liz pulled out her book of shadows and flipped through her notes. 

"Geese are  a symbol of protection. Nice! That can come in handy around this place." Liz threw some cracked corn towards the geese for a snack.

After chatting about our worries and complaining about our moms, it was time to head over to the local crystal shop. Every Tuesday a few witches gather to give free energy healings. That is where we gathered notes on practicing our craft. A healing was nice, especially after practicing spells. It really starts to drain you after a while.

Author's Notes

The discord server has a bot named MEE6. He is the first line of defense against swearing and curse words in the server. Of course, some of the authors don't really curse (most of the time). But, there are times when they do and MEE6 automatically delete their message and give them a warning.

In order to bypass this flaw, the authors made sure to be more "creative" when they use curse words. This works most of the time, especially when mods are not around. 

When you are in a chatroom with people that live in different parts of the world, you're bound to discover new things here and there. Sometimes the talk shift to culture, politics, smut, religion, smut, current news, smut, bl, smut, etc.

When these kinds of talks happen, you tend to "SEE" their hometown from a different perspective. Like what Reili said about the UK being… What someone said about the US being… 

There was even a time when someone was about to get YEETED by the dentist and he was typing like mad on the discord chatroom about the dentist being EVIL and not giving any anesthetic.

Our places on this earth are divided by oceans setting us apart from one continent to another. Several countries speaking several languages to understand each other. People with several cultures and beliefs. Different personalities and opinions.

In this chaotic world, we live in called real life we search for a place to escape from that reality. To be accepted as who or what we are. We have found that in the music we sing. In the books, we read. In the movies we watch. In the places, we travel and visit. Everywhere in which we get inspiration to face reality head-on.

We write stories or poems to inspire others, reading the words we weave from our own world. For some of us, it is simply an escape from reality into a world in which we can use our imaginations to dream make-believe or to live our secret fantasies or just plain be creative.

Getting on the web gives us more ways to share and get connected to other people with the same kind of thinking from across the ocean. Some of the people we meet along the way give us reasons to smile again. It's where we become friends, get to know them well, and get so close that we even trust them enough to share our own greatest fears.

I was a living a kind of living death when I found solace here on Stories Space. A place to write, camouflaging my hatred and sadness from myself when I was reading all the poetry and fictional fantasies created by the writers. I found another escape from reality and indulged in reading.

My feelings from my own troubles in life had made me feel so empty that only through laughter and reading could I be free and somewhat whole again.

I made my own heaven in purgatory.

A friend told me to write down all of my pains and troubles in poems or stories. Another friend of mine told me to be fierce in my poetry writing. I found friends who helped me give my own life a reason to continue living again through writing.

Writing makes me calm every time my mind gets into a panic mode. The pains and the fears of the unknown are my muses for writing.

When I met someone who understood me and made me feel needed and loved my poetry changed its tune. It made me think of happy thoughts. I got inspired by the things I saw and the happy memories of my childhood that I could write about.

Painful memories and realities were always there and so I wrote about them from time to time.

When that someone left me I continued writing. The same inner muse I had gained I used to keep on writing.

Then, out of nowhere, I got to know you. I became happy again. This time I got even more inspired and more creative, experimenting with my writings.

I set aside my shyness and reservations to write creatively. I still can't overcome some of my shyness and reservation but I am blooming, inspired by you.

You became my muse.

The man in the moon. The stars in my darkest hours. When at night I can't sleep thinking of you calms me to sleep.

The sunshine after the heavy storm. Where all the dead trees come to life again. That keeps me warm when everything gets chilly.

My own little heaven in my real life purgatory.

They all gathered around the large Map that was now on the floor. The map was of the continents Africa, Asia and Australia. A star appeared in each continent. 
Nahum was the first to speak. Whistling, he said " well that was freaky" "but the map has stars in three locations, which location is the right place".

Gravit shrugged, " not sure, we can split up and try all three"

"There is writing over here, we might not have to split up at all", said Lily. Who was now standing on the edge of Australia reviewing the script at her feet.

The script read:

While often overshadowed by the tallest, I am still second tallest tower in southern hemisphere. Allowing all to see the land down under. At my peak,you will find a key to what you seek. 

Nahum, who is now standing beside Lily with the twins, rubbed his head. "Well, what the fuck do that mean?"

They sat there for a minute thinking.

"Its a tower in Australia" Garvish stated.

Rosi walked over with her phone in her hand, "Its the Sydney tower to be exact" 

Nahum, chuckled "I think using google is considered cheating"

Rosi stuck her tongue out at him, "Well I was getting bored waiting for you guys to figure it out, plus my parents took me there as a kid so it sounded familiar"

Interrupting them, Lily asked the twins "Can you teleport us to Australia ?"

" Unfortunately, no" Garvit answered. "That's a two day distance, we don't have the ability to travel that far instantly"

After thinking about, Garvit spoke again. " However, your boy toy or Tzoker can with no problem"

Lily shook her head. "We had an agreement. One night. I am no longer his problem"

Rolling her eyes, Rosi dialed a number on her phone and put it on speaker phone, " well I made no such agreement"

"Hello my dear, what's brings me the pleasure of having you on my line?" A deep masculine voice answered. 

"Hi Z, we can really use your help. Mind popping in?" 

"Sure" the phone disconnected

"Who the fuck is Z?" Nahum inquired with Rosi. 

"That would be me"

Everyone looked to find Tzoker, whom just appeared behind them without a sound. If the twins sensed in presence they didn't mention it nor did they flinched at his arrival. 

Tzoker walker over to Rosi and pulled her into chest. Remembering they had an audience, Rosi pushed him away. Blushing, she asked, "Can you teleport us to Australia?"

"No"

Confused Rosi asked, " why not aren't you powerful enough to do it ?"

"What I meant my dear is, I can send them off, but you can not go. Traveing such distance is harsh on the body, but demons regenerate and humans do not."

Pouting she stated, " So, I can't go?"

"You are correct"

"Fine, please take them"

They filled Tzoker in, on everything that has happened with Lily and their plan to find Master Zoo. While, his expression didn't change at the information he was given, on the inside he was excited. He couldn't wait to tell Naraka of his little mishap. 

Surveying the map on the floor, Tzoker stated, " I'll drop you at the base of Sydney tower, to prevent from running into unnecessary traps".

While every other teenagers her age was dating and deciding rather or not to lose their virginity. Lilith gave her virginity to her lifelong crush only to bore his name on her body for the rest of her life. 

The next morning she learned that she broke the seal of an ancient curse passed to her and six others through the generations. She is burdened to sins of humans to keep balance good and evil. 

" That's not the worse part. I got stuck with the sin lust. Sure, I was more interested in act sex than others my age, but I didn't want to become obsessed!!"

Naraka is the eldest son and only son of the King of the underworld. The only person tasked to oversee both the evils of human and supernatural worlds.
